Our Target Audience Is The Business Men And Women Of...
Our target audience is the business men and women of Charleston, WV. They consist of doctors,
lawyers, bankers, and salespeople. We will also be focusing on the customers of all of the businesses
in the area as well. Young people are drinking more coffee than in recent years, according to the data
compiled by the National Coffee Association: 54 percent of people over the age of 18 are drinking
coffee each day. This be our target age group in the Charleston area. Men and women alike will be in
our target audience. Most in this age range enjoy coffee, tea, or pastries at some point in their day.
Our audience lives Charleston and the surrounding areas. Mainly our customers will be people that
work in the area and surrounding areas. The Charleston Civic Center and Clay center is host to
multiple conference meets, shows, and game. These will be major venues that will be present for and
will host a major majority of our target audience. There are multiple festivals and events in downtown
Charleston that we can work and gain a huge customer base from that.
Currently customers get their coffee from a couple local coffee shops, and a Starbucks in the
Charleston Town Center Mall. There is a place in the market for a business in the area. We believe that
this is the perfect time to enter into the market. It is not over saturated at the moment, and there is a lot
of room for growth.
Food Trucks are very trendy and that also falls into are age range of the customers that we are

Global Problem Solving And Morals Cross
Global Community Discovery
JaQuita J. Jackson
Ohio Christian University Global Community Discovery
Global problem solving and morals cross in various ways. Clearly, the way in which issues, for
example, environmental change, asset consumption, vicious passing, savage disparities in life chances,
and dangers to biodiversity are drawn nearer and considered, not to mention determined, epitomize
muultiple and significant moral issues. At the most fundamental level, the impression of the presence
of an issue is gotten from a feeling of incongruence between a given circumstance and the qualities the
viewer esteems pertinent to that circumstance. As needs be the structure of qualities that prompts the
esteeming of issues as worldwide issues needs examination. In any case, similarly, issues are not
comprehended in any dynamic or immaterial unbiased or quality free sense. They are determined, or
there is work to determine them, in headings or as per criteria and objectives got from qualities sets.
As needs be, the qualities appended to or fundamental, unequivocally or verifiably, worldwide critical
thinking activities and originations needs examination. There are no less than three fundamental
ranges of convergence of morals and worldwide issues, nearly between related, and each of which has
various consequent particular zones. ( Global ethics and problem solving | Nautilus Institute for
Security and Sustainability, n.d.) Two are mention below.

African Anthropology Research Paper
This paper is just the latest to come from Professor Henshilwood and others research on African
archaeology that has debunked the idea that modern human behavior originated in Europe after about
40,000 years ago.
There is increasing evidence for an African origin for behavioral and technological modernity more
than 70,000 years ago and that the earliest origin of all Homo sapiens lies in Africa with a special
focus in southern Africa.
Last month MailOnline reported a new study by U.S. researchers which suggested the development of
high tech long range weapons 71,000 years ago in the region gave humans the killing edge to help
make us the dominant species.

Failure of Structural Adjustment Programme
INTRODUCTION
According to Collin dictionary government is the group of people who are responsible to govern
country.
Christian council of Tanzania and Tanzania Episcopal conference define government as the chief
agency for organizing and in the end of controlling both development and order in the society. Also it
is an organized body of persons and institutions that form an agency or machinery of the state which
formulates, expresses and realizes the will of state. Therefore, government consists of the activities,
methods and principles involved in the governing a country or other political unit.
Government failure is the public sector analogy to market failure and occurs when a government

The justification for nationalization of private firms and extensive involvement of the state in
productive activities was the ability of the state to control negative externalities, exploit economies of
scale and operate firms at officially optimal level, the outcome proved otherwise for Tanzania. The
government failure occurred in the following ways;
The state owned cooperation turned out to be inefficient in almost all areas of their operations. For
example many supply companies operated below standard such as National Milling Cooperation
which was supplying food stuffs like maize, packed maize flour, rice and wheat causing higher
demand in urban areas. Another company was Regional Trading Company (RTC) for supplying
commodities like sugar, soaps, wine from Dodoma, and these caused shortages of the commodities.
Due to lack of fund from central government health services, water, education (especially primary
schools) remained a big problem in both urban and rural areas. The government operation in providing
these social services was highly contributed by among other things inadequate foreign exchange as the
country relied much on agricultural products which did not competed strongly with the same crops

Plea Bargain
Over the years plea bargaining has become the way for the Administration of Justice in America and
Canada s criminal trials. Accused criminals are giving up the rights to a fair trial, to indeed plead
guilty, in order to receive a much lesser charge, more comfortable prison, or even to agree to testify
against someone else. Fewer than ten percent of criminal cases brought up by the federal government
even make it to the federal courts to be tried before juries each year. According to one legal scholar,
every two seconds during a typical workday, a criminal case is disposed of in an American courtroom
by way of a guilty plea or nolo contendere plea (Lynch, par. 1). Which ultimately means more than
ninety percent of criminal cases are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
6). This would leave the court system plenty behind and nearly almost impossible to attend to each
case. Plea bargaining is essential to court cases and must be done (Emerick), stated attorney Samuel
Buccero. The court is not set up to have multiple trials. The dockets are set up to be done in less than
an hour (Emerick), Buccero said.
Plea bargaining may have advantages in America s and Canada s Justice System, but it also proposes
an advantage for the accused criminal. It gives the defendant the opportunity to reduce sentence and
provide a better, more comfortable stay in correctional facilities. It gives the opportunity for guilty
criminals, who know a guilty sentence will be there if facing a jury, to plead guilty to the case for one
s own benefits. Rather than spending time presenting a losing case in front of a judge and jury, and
losing plenty of money in court fees, the case can be wrapped up in a matter of agreement. Guilty
defendants seem to be in a win win situation and can use plea bargaining as a total advantage.
While plea bargaining proposes plenty of advantages through the court of law in America and Canada,
it shows some disadvantages as well. First off, plea bargaining seems unlawful to many. Every
American is entitled to a right to a fair trial by the court of law. Giving the opportunity to plea bargain
is taking away from those constitutional rights. Defendants

Erica Fryberg
Friendships is a poem by Erica Fryberg that can relate to almost anybody who has experienced real
and fake friendships, as it is about the speaker s perspective on friendships, and the difference between
having real and fake friends, forced friendships and real friendships. Through a comparison of
friendships and furniture, the poet uses a humorous tone to describe friendships, making the speaker
relatable. I particularly enjoyed this, as on a personal level I was able to relate to this, as a student at a
school where teachers attempted to force unnatural relationships multiple times. Overall, this poem
was an engaging poem, which, through language and poetic devices, clearly described the difference
between real and fake friendships.
As the title implies, the subject matter of this poem are friendships, and real and fake friends. The first
stanza describes how forced friendships are often fake, and are only an idealized image of real
friendships, made only for the purpose of pleasing the teacher. Through a comparison of furniture and
friendships, the poet depicts the fakeness of the forced friendships, and how they seem polished and
shine like glass, yet are also easily shattered. On a personal level, this particularly is ... Show more

This poem is written in free style, having no rhyme scheme, through which the poet depicts the
roughness and honesty of friendships. The freestyle also had uneven rhythm, stressing and unstressing
syllables, and had a wide range of long and short lines to communicate the uncertainty and diversity of
friendship. Through the main metaphor of friendships and furniture, the poet uses strong visual
imagery, as shown in the lines A coat hanger for others whims./Very pretty upholstery/Comfortable

The Effect Of Aztec Diseases On Civilization

The Controversy Of Censorship In Libraries
Censorship has been a debate for centuries. Censorship in libraries takes place all over the country and
world. Some people believe libraries should not be censored. Other people believe libraries should
censor books and movies. Some places censor what they offer to consumers, because of content and
the risk of offense. Some people are all for censoring what children can read so that they are not
corrupted. Other people believe that individuals should have the choice in what they want their
children exposed to, and school libraries face this problem frequently. A majority of parents do not
want their kids exposed to certain types of books and movies, that most libraries frequently would
offer. This is hard for the school, because they have to pick and choose, and virtually censor what they
offer to the students to read. People should have the freedom to expose themselves to what they want.
I believe that libraries should not censor materials, because people should have the freedom to read
what they want. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People who visit libraries should be able to read what they want. The government should not stick
their noses in individual citizen s freedoms. The libraries should have clearly marked sections in order
to keep children from checking out books they shouldn t read, but that is up to the parent s discretion.
Parents are responsible for what their child can and cannot read, not the job of the library. Minors
should not read books like Fifty Shades of Grey, but the library should have the book for other
readers. Stay at home moms love this book, so they should be allowed the right to check out a book
like that. In order to ensure that innappropriate books do not fall into the hands of minors, the
librarians should monitor types of books checked out by minors. The library should be able to cater to

Summer Break Definition
Winter break is a perfectly timed for students to enjoy the holidays, and take a much needed break
from school. This offers time to spend with family and relax without having to worry about their
studies. Due to the length, the break often leads to boredom near the end, and students can become
restless and in need of some excitement.
The holidays often start out with a bang, filled with family gatherings, and lot of gifts. The excitement
then seems to fade away until school goes back in session. Pole Position Raceway has the ideal
solution for breaking the winter boredom with action karting. This fast and exciting sport is sure to

An Analysis of the Movie, Blood Diamond Essay
The movie Blood Diamond was released in 2006 and featured Leonardo Di Caprio as an arms
smuggler whose main goal is to obtain a seemingly priceless diamond from a villager during the civil
war in Sierra Leone. The film, although it has been called mild in comparison to reality, depicts the
brutality that inhabitants of diamond villages were subjected to. The film was nominated for five
Academy Awards, and won numerous other awards. The film marker is trying to raise awareness of
the illicit conflict diamond trade and reinforcing the Kimberley process1 and showing how it will stem
the flow of conflict diamonds. This is successful mainly due to the public outburst after the movie.

He also is trying to show us that the people at Van De Kaap are not truly trying to solve the problem.
Instead they are aggravating the situation. The filmmaker aims to discourage racism and show that
both blacks and whites can work together to solve various problems. In the movie, Danny Archer had
been forced to work together with Solomon Vandy, but they grew in terms of mutual understanding
even though they had different purposes for finding the diamond (Danny profit, Solomon to find
family). From our research, cooperation among Africans is needed to effectively solve the flow of
conflict diamonds. An African Union was set up to speak on behalf of the African nations.
Discouraging racism will always be important in Singapore not only because the local population
consists of many different races, but also because of the apparent pro Bumiputra policies which have
drawn flak from some racial communities in Malaysia. Besides, the filmmaker wants to show how an
ineffective government can lead to suffering of its citizens. In the movie, Free Town4 fell into the
hands of the RUF where many were killed and buildings were razed, due to the failure of the
government to effectively enforce security in the region. This is supported by one of the arguments
from research stating that strong governments are needed to effectively stem the flow of conflict
diamonds out of Sierra Leone into Liberia. Relating to Singapore, the

The Pros And Cons Of Slash And Burn
Slash and Burn
Slash and burn is the cutting down of trees and burning them before new seeds are sown so that a
particular piece of land can be cleared. This is a problem that has gone on since after the stone age,
this process makes the soil less fertile and its hard for more plants to grow and fruits and vegetables
we eat become harder to grow. The affected area will desertificate and nothing can grow there and the
damage is permanent or the farmers have to wait until the soil is fertile again but this can take a really
long time. Since there are many people doing it large amounts of area are covered every day. If done

Introduction:
Web Services describe an area of computing which define the method of communication used by
machines to interact with each other over the internet. A web service is a method for applications that
are written in contrasting languages to be able to transfer data between one another without any
problems. Two kinds of Web Services are SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and REST
(Representational State Transfer).
SOAP characterizes a communication protocol for XML based message exchange. SOAP utilizes
transport protocols such as HTTP and SMTP. SOAP provides simplified communication methods
through firewalls and proxies. It is both language and platform independent. SOAP uses SOAP
messages in order to transmit messages. The SOAP message is a standard XML document which

DIVIDEND POLICY AT FPL GROUP INC Q.1 DIVIDEND POLICY AT FPL GROUP, INC
In 1994 FPL Group, the parent company of Florida Power and Light Company, announced a reduction
in its quarterly dividend from $.62 ($2.48 annual) a share to $.42. This was the first ever dividend cut
for a healthy utility, so the company did its best to explain to investors why it had taken such an
unusual step.

After analysing industry and future prospects Broadhead concluded that FPL would need to have a
commitment to quality and customer service, increase its focus on the utilities industry, expand
capacity, and improve its cost position in order to match with the competitive environment. Moreover,
FPL needed to renew focus on its core business. It planed to sell several of the non utility businesses.
Furthermore, Broadhead commenced an aggressive capital expenditure program designed to meet
projected demand into the next decade. FPL budgeted $6.6 billion, spread over five years, for the
expansion.
The company also felt that it would be prudent to reduce debt, and that part of the cash savings from
the dividend cut would be used for this purpose. At the same time, the company announced plans to
return part of the cash saved by the dividend cut by repurchasing up to 10 million shares of stock over
the next three years. FPL explained that this would reduce shareholders taxes.
We can say that the dividend changes have been so much less volatile than earnings changes because:
1) management believed that shareholders prefer a steady progression in dividends 2) managers are
reluctant to make dividend changes that might have to be reversed. They are particularly worried
about a dividend increase, which would affect the stock price. Broadhead needed money to invest in
FPL; therefore, he needed to make the stock price increase in order to

Ethnicity And Prejudice
Public views regarding certain people can be built quickly and the amount of criticism that people
with a different sexual orientation receive mutilates their demeanor. Being a heterosexual, there are no
misinterpretations, but being a homosexual has fingers pointing at them constantly. The US
Department of Justice reports that homosexuals are probably the most frequent victims of hate
motivated violence in the nation (Reis). Those with a different sexual orientation who witness
harassment of gay peers often reacts by hiding their sexuality even more vigorously out of fear or self
hate, while heterosexuals who observe the affliction may have remorse due to their silence and
powerlessness similarly experienced by their bisexual or homosexual ... Show more content on

Muslims are a fine example of an ethnic group who people show prejudice towards. The past has
already created a poor image of them, but the recent terrorist attacks involving ISIS have created even
a bigger spectacle out of all the Muslims, depicting Islam as inhumane. People find a logic to put
every accusation on them. The mere mention of Islam tends to generate an immediate negative
reaction from most people as they associate it with terrorism, hostages, and the explosive situation in
the Middle East (Emery). The public sees Islam with one perspective, ignoring many individuals who
may have nothing to do with the past incidents. This religion has been misunderstood since its earliest
beginnings when Muhammed was scorned by the Jewish and Christian communities he tried to
convert (Emery). Christianity and Islam are closely related, yet some Christians think of it as strange
and erotic because of the way Muslims dress, act, and speak. The fall of Jerusalem to Islam in 638
A.D and the subsequent exploits of the Crusaders between 1095 and 1291 escalated the level of
mistrust and hostility between both the religions (Emery). It s quite absurd that such inequity is shown
towards them as there has been an instance when an American was involved in a terrorist attack.

The Definition Of Interfaith Marriage As A System Of...
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary (2004), the prefix inter means between, among, together
or involving two or more. It also says that the word faith means strong belief or trust in someone or
something , belief in the existence of God , or a system of religious beliefs. In the instance of the term
interfaith , we can put the two definitions together and say that interfaith is involving two or more
systems of religious beliefs, or an existence of God. The dictionary defines marriage as the
relationship that exists between a husband and wife. So, putting the words interfaith and marriage
together would ultimately mean that the man and wife have two different religious belief systems.
Turner and West s (2006) book, Perspectives on Family Communication, defines interfaith marriage as
unions that include at least two different religious identities. That is the definition of interfaith
marriage in its simplest form, but an interfaith marriage is far more complex than just its meaning. To
me, and also many others across the globe, interfaith marriage is a relationship that needs special
commitment and attention, and now, I will attempt to show you why. Religion has always been known
for impacting marriage quality and satisfaction (see, for example, Hood et. al.,1996), who also explain
that a major reason for shifting from one religious body to another occurs when people of different
faiths marry. Knowing that marriage is often the reason that

Quit Day 5 Steps To Quit Smoking

Last month Jon saw a commercial on T.V. about the harmful effects smoking has on the body. The
commercial showed how smoking can lead from things as minor as bad breath and yellow teeth to
something as severe as lung cancer. Jon, a frequent smoker, decided he would put down his cigarettes

thought he had to buy another pack just to feel better. Jon saw the commercial again today and decided
that he could not do this alone; he needed help. Jon called the number on the commercial and began to

Jon that there were five steps he needed to follow in order to start his journey to quit smoking. Set a

Who Is Tom Robinson Innocent In To Kill A Mockingbird
Martin Luther King Jr once said, The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad
people but the silence over that by the good people. There are people in our world that are silently
good like M.L.K said. The silently good people can do great things all the time without much people
knowing about it, or they can just mind their own business and leave other people alone. Some of
those good people get taken over by bad people even though they are innocent. Those people are like
mockingbirds, as Harper Lee explains through the book To Kill a Mockingbird. In To Kill a

Looking For Advice Research Paper
One of the biggest mistakes people make when looking for advice is seeking it from only one person.
Getting multiple opinions on a certain decision or situation could be the difference between a
complete disaster taking place or a relieving solution. Some advice that others give happens to be
useless and irrational, but if someone seeks more than one opinion, he or she could avoid bad advice
by following the good instead. More opinions equals more options. Seeking multiple opinions is
beneficial for you, and others too, because everyone has a different mindset, it can prevent bad
decisions, and even helps a person make better choices in the future. To begin with, every human in
the world has a different mindset. Some think deeply, some think simply. We are all different from the
way we dress to the way we draw stick people. With different mindsets comes different perspectives,

isn t always guaranteed. If someone was to follow bad guidance, they are at risk for making a terrible
decision. But if that person looks for more opinions, instead of jumping to conclusions with the bad
advice, he or she could find a better solution to the the problem at hand. No matter the situation,
anyone can find understanding people to listen and share opinions with. Listening to these opinions
can have a great influence on the effect of the problem. For example, if Sam had to decide between
buying a brand new car and a used one, he could ask his friends what their opinions are. Some people
may say to buy the new car because it will last him longer. Others could advise him to purchase the
used one to help him financially. Everyone has different opinions and beliefs, so it is always beneficial

Radiation Oncology
According to the researchers of mayoclinic.org, Radiation Oncology is the practice of regulating high
dosages of radiation to kill cancerous cells. In this job several small tasks accumulate into a complex
system. A radiation oncologist can expect to: place radioactive material into the body to locate and
pinpoint tumors, keep detailed records of treatment proficiency, examine and create machinery to
diminish harmful exposure to radiation, and to console other oncologists about methods such as
chemotherapy and stem cell treatment. As a young child, I decided to delve into the study of cancer
based on watching my mother battle the disease (mayoclinic.org). Most students seeking a career in
the medical field are required to take health related classes. However, in oncology, a special interest in
chemistry, physiology, and algebra benefit you heavily. Chemistry and physiology help to provide one
with the knowledge of anatomical structures and bodily function . Algebra helps to formulate dosages
and administer proper counts of medicine. This is excruciatingly important in radiation, based on the
fact that one mistake can be the difference in,life or death. There is a requirement of: attending four

Apple Inc. Case Analysis

Abstract
1. Apple files first. Apple Inc. sued Samsung Electronics Co. in April 2011, for making a deliberate
decision to copy Apple s iPhone and iPad
2. Apple s design, utility patents. Apple claimed that Samsung infringed four industrial design patents,
which covered the look and feel of the devices, and three utility patents, which covers the working of
the gadget. It listed more than 20 Samsung devices that infringed on Apple s patents.
3. Samsung s turn. Samsung counter sued Apple in June 2011, for infringing on its patents having to
do with wireless communications technology and camera phones. Samsung claimed the Apple could
not have sold a single iPhone without the benefits of Samsung s patented technology.
4. Strange bedfellows. Apart from being competitors, they share a very important business
relationship, Samsung is one of Apple s biggest suppliers for phone components.
5. Damages and FRAND. Apple seek $2.525 billion in damages. Samsung seeks $400 million in
royalty fees. As per Apple, Samsung asked for 2.4% of every iPhone or iPad sold to cover
infringement of its patents. Whereas Samsung hasn t asked any other users of the baseband chip to pay
any such amount. Which infringes the FRAND (Fair, Reasonable and Non Discriminatory) patent
licensing terms.
6. Claims. Apple worked to prove that Samsung s products are strikingly similar to the iPhone and
iPad and that Samsung s designs are not the result of natural evolution in the design process but rather

Puritans And Puritans Essay
The most known acts of cruelty in the power of the people are the various punishments dealt out by
the Puritans. Then you have the Quakers they weren t just men appearing on labels of oatmeal bins;
they were chosen to be on the label because the Quaker faith projected the values of honesty, integrity,
purity, and strength. However, the Puritans and Quakers both traveled to the New World to escape
religious prosecutions. John Winthrop, leading the Puritans, wanted a more purified state and society,
giving them the name, Puritans. William Penn, leading the Quakers, wanted to spread their beliefs
through themselves. They questioned leaders, resulting in leading themselves. Both had different
views of reconstructing a new society, religion, and government. Religion was important to the
Quaker and Puritans, but how far they took it made them different. Instead of fighting to purify the
Church of England, the Puritans just traveled to the New World. They settled in the Massachusetts
Bay Colony, which is Boston today. They were able to start over and do it the right way, but everyone
had to practice the bible or be punished. In their purified eyes, the Church back in England was
embracing too many Catholic beliefs. Puritans had zero tolerance and took religion very seriously,
making them a theocracy after leaving that in the first place. They were led by John Winthrop. On the
other hand, the Quakers were known as the friends. They believed everyone had their own inner light

Alfred P Murrah Building Bombing
Alfred P Murrah Building Bombing
By: Ryan Agnos
In Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, at 8:50 AM Timothy McVeigh parked a Ryder truck on the street
in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The truck had a very powerful bomb made out of
ammonium nitrate and fuel. McVeigh set a timed fuse and in turn of events it was bombs away while
he fled the scene in a getaway car.
At precisely 9:02 AM the bomb detonated ripping through the building s north wall. Killing 168
people and wounding more than 680 others, it also destroyed nearly 324 nearby buildings. 19 victims
were young children that attended the day care on the second story of the building, some of them as
young as 6 months old. But incensed McVeigh was already 90 miles north.
When police interrogated McVeigh, they found out his motive for bombarding the building. McVeigh
felt upset because poor actions of the ATF during the siege didn t go as planned. McVeigh stated in
response ATF, all you tyrannical people will swing in the wind one day for your treasonous actions
against the Constitution of the United States. Remember the Nuremberg War Trials.
The reason McVeigh bombed the building was because he recognized that there was an ATF office
inside of the building and that would be his initial target. McVeigh was unaware that there was a
daycare program inside the building.
The Waco Siege was the attack of the Branch Davidians compound that belonged to the religious
group the Branch Davidians who followed David

When she was physically or mentally, Sheila retaliated and seldom reacted to the situation properly
because she was unable to keep her emotions under control. In this scene, Torey has just arrived from

absolutely berserk. She refused to talk. She pulled all the stuff off the walls, all the books out of the

While majoring in East Asian Studies at the University of Kansas I have been granted many
opportunities to study the situation of South Koreas political, social, and cultural practices.
Consequently, I have researched and written numerous papers, including my undergraduate thesis, on
the influence of English language acquisition among South Korean college and elementary students.
One of the most profound conclusions regarding English education in South Korea that I have come

My philosophy on teaching is simple. Quality over quantity. Rather than inundating students with
copious amounts of meaningless busy work, I would rather focus on ensuring that each and every
student comprehends and fully understands whatever topic I may be presenting that day. I have had
my fair share of experience with apathetic teachers at the high school and university level so I am well
aware of the toxic and stale environment that they propagate within their classrooms. Education is one
of the most precious gifts we are given in our lives and that is the atmosphere I wish to promote within
my own classroom. While some students may agree with this concept, I am aware that there are just as
many that will not. However, through putting in time and hard work I believe that I will be able to
connect and help all of my students. While South Korea is a very different world when compared to
the united states, I am confident that my education and experiences of to this point have sufficiently
prepared me for live overseas. I previously spent a year at Soongsil University on a study abroad
program and it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my life. Although my trip

A Research Study On Cooperative Behavior
1.Introduction
Cooperative behaviour has been and may still be a mystery to psychologists and evolutionary
theorists. Cooperation has an altruistic nature that benefits other people, not closely related, while it is
detrimental to the person who is performing it (Trivers, 1971). Therefore, according to natural
selection cooperation should have been disappeared long time ago, as it is not beneficial for short term
survival of the individual. However, altruistic cooperation is not always disadvantageous if the
sacrifice is awarded in the future, it can be an evolutionary stable strategy. This type of altruism is
known as reciprocal altruism, which can be as beneficial for helper as recipient. Reciprocal altruism
can be viewed as symbiosis. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In this study we predicted that people are more likely to donate to someone if they have seen that other

members sit to the right and left of the board members. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and they

William Wordsworth s Analysis Of I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud
The poem was written in the year 1802. It was first published in Poems in Two Volumes, in
1807. The very starting line of the poem I wandered lonely as a cloud informs the poet s
profound sentiments of being left alone. It was actually the death of his brother John that led him
to loneliness . We should remind the readers that this poem was not a result of imagination.
Dorothy, Wordsworth s sister provides us an explanation of the occasion which inspired
Wordsworth to produce this masterpiece:
When we were in the woods beyond Gowbarrow Park, we saw a few daffodils close to
waterside. Thus the poem is a result of actual visualization rather than imagery .
In English literature, Wordsworth and his friend, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, ... Show more content on

Setting of the Poem:
Wordsworth may be at discomfort in human multitude but not amidst the objects (crowd) of
Nature. Nature permeates the entire poem. Phrases like a crowd, a host, continuous as the stars,
they stretched in never ending lines, ten thousands saw eye at a glance presents deep
implications. The poet says: I wondered lonely as a cloud that floats on the high o er Wales and
hills. Daffodils, an everyday found flower has been portrayed in magical verses and blended with
transcendental romanticism. Even the daffodils outdid the sparkling waves in glee and left an
everlasting mark in the mind of the readers of this poem.

thankful that the sickness did not take the same hold on me as it did her. This family has never seen

My Most Memorable Moment In My Life
The definition of fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is
dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. One of my most memorable moments of my life was the
first time I went to Disney Land I was terrified but because of this trip I found out how to face my
fears.
The loud sounds of flying planes over me reminded me one of the scariest things I ve seen on tv
crashing in a plane. I didn t want to even go near the plane but I had to my parents paid thousands for
me to go on this trip so I stepped forward on the flimsy bridge that connects the loud airport to the
metal coffin plane. I knew I was a wimp but I had enough respect to do what my parents wanted me to
do. Flight to Las Angeles now departing. Were those the last words I would hear besides me
screaming to my death? The plane took off it wasn t bad at all maybe I wouldn t die but time will tell.
After an hour on the plane I realized I was going to be ok. Two hours had passed and I really enjoyed
this then over the loud speaker, Now landing in Las Angeles please tighten seat belts as we land. The
pilot stated. The landing, the death of me? But when we touched the ground it wasn t bad felt a mild
bump that was all more fun than scary. On the way off the plane I looked into the cockpit that might
be me one day. That was the day I came over my fear of planes and actually made me want to be a
pilot soaring over the skies seeing the tiny people this became my dream.
We checked into our hotel and stayed their for the night thinking about the experince I had on the
plane, and thinking about the rides I would go on tomorrow. Most kids would be excited and thrilled
but my ten year old self a coward self was scared. The next day we went on a bus to the front gates of
Disney Land. I entered very anxious for if I would puke or as my mind seemed set on dyeing. They
said this place was magical I made up this stupid thing where if I would step on certain tiles on the
road I would be fine. I stepped up to Splash Mountain still only stepping on the red tiles of the road. I
climbed the walk way to the top of the mountain and stepped into the log flume ride. I thought I might

She has isolated herself in her home and has become morbidly obese. Gilbert Grape, the second oldest
in the family, serves as the breadwinner and caretaker for his mother and siblings. In addition, he is the
main caretaker for his seventeen year old developmentally disabled brother, Arnie Grape, who has
been told by doctors that he would not live to ten years of age. The family struggles to take care of

Therefore, she has become morbidly obese and spends out her days and nights sitting on the same spot

The Natural Disasters Of San Francisco
There are so many natural disasters throughout the world that happen every day; some worse than
others. The 1906 San Francisco earthquake would be one of the worse disasters. Many people were
killed and wounded on that day. Although the earthquake lasted less than a minute, it still caused the
worst natural disaster in the country s history. The California earthquake is known to be one of the
most remarkable earthquakes of all time.
San Francisco is known to be the Paris of America . It was very popular in industry and culture at the
time. San Francisco had about 410,000 locals and kept gaining more and more rapidly. The day before
the devastating and terrifying event, everyone was going on throughout the day like they normally
would. No one was expecting what was about to happen that next morning.
The next morning at 5:12 a.m., on April 18, 1906 an enormous earthquake shook San Francisco. It
was an estimate of 7.8 8.3 on the Richter scale. Although only lasting about 40 60 seconds, it
destroyed many homes and businesses and killed numerous people. Many were left homeless, without
a place to go. Out of the 410,000 people who lived in San Francisco, about 300,000 people were
without a home and around 3,000 people lost their lives throughout the state of California. The
earthquake was devastating. The survivors had to sleep in tents and wait in long lines for food.
The earthquake also started fires that burned for three days. Within just a few hours 52 fires had
started.

Early Christian art had a rough start. It started off not being wanted because it worshiped idols and
that was frowned upon in the early days. Although, as time went on and Christians started realizing the
benefits that art had at conveying their beliefs. The earliest Christian art occurred in the catacombs,
which were underground tombs under the city and they often depicted biblical symbols like Noah s
ark. Architecture also grew during this time, as people got more accepting of this culture things started
picking up. Art became in demand and so did architecture. Before the spike happened, early Christians
didn t have any designated places to worship and as soon as it became more accepted that changed.
Early Christian churches often mimicked roman work because it was so successful. An example of
this was Old St. Peter. Architecture and art weren t the only thing early Christians used to push
Christianity into the mainstream, music also played a role in the development Christianity. Early
Christian music prohibited instrumental accompaniment of any kind (Benton and Diyannni 185). This

The Solution Of Plastics And Pollution
In today s time we are facing the problem of pollution, and dirty water, which is affecting our sea life
as well as human life. It is a concerning problem. And although many don t infact believe in global
warming, muck and smog is becoming a worsening problem as the years go on. If there is any way to
overall help to decrease the amount of pollution that is is being put out, it would be a necessary option.
the government is proposing a plastic bag fee that will range about 25 cents for each plastic bag.The
hopeful outcome of this would be to see people bring reusable bags rather than paying for the 25 cent
bag. Which would be a greater outcome in decreasing pollution in some slice of a matter way.
Essentially, eliminating plastic bags over time would be necessary. If everyone were to use reusable
bags to go shopping, we could seriously see a dent in the pollution amount. Plastic is so bad for our

The Characteristics Of Ronald Reagan
World leaders have immense power. Some use that power for good; others use it for evil. Whether
they are looked upon fondly or not, world leaders are still loved by many people. They can inspire
good character, good morals, and responsibility. The best example of this is how people view the
United States presidents. Some of the former presidents are considered heroes, and even depicted to be
on the same level as gods. These people have been so highly praised, that saying anything bad about
them is looked down upon. There are statues and monuments dedicated to presidents such aslike
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy, and
so on. This illustrates the fact thatThe point is, former US presidents are held in high regard. One of
these presidents held to this high standard was the US president throughout most of the 1980s. His
name was Ronald Reagan. Reagan He went from being a typecasted, Good Guy actor, to politician, to
becoming President of the United States of America. Ronald Reagan s background as a performer
contributed directly to his effectiveness as a politician.
One of the character traits that Ronald Reagan embodied was good public speaking. He was able to
convince people that he was on their side and that he was there to resolve improve the problems in the
American government. During his inaugural speech in 1981, he said, government is not a solution to
our problems; government is the problem. In the same

The Hidden Truth Of Multinational Corporations
The Hidden Truth
In modern society, we are constantly bombarded with decisions of what retailer or brand to buy
supplies from. We no longer have just a supermarket; we have a wide variety of merchandise retailers
to choose from. Debating where to go depending on the price of products, or perhaps the quality, is a
decision we battle with constantly. Yet, without thinking twice about where the product came from, or
its environmental impact, many of us go right ahead pick up the item, toss it in the trolley and rush to
pay for because we don t have time to care about stuff like this. There are other important things, like
when to get the car oil changed, right?

Even though words cannot do justice in emphasising the massive effect Multinational corporations
such as this one have globally, their injurious actions are affecting the environment from all directions
as well as aspects of our day to day life, something as simple as breathing clean air. Diminishing the
finite sources available in a certain areas, they are able to pack their bags and move to another place,
leaving many of its workers jobless. Subsequently, employability established by new markets opening
up provides opportunities to people to earn money in order to support themselves and their families.
However, the jobs multinational corporations have provided require little to no expertise and are
deskilled , which most commonly is referred to as a job worse than McDonalds . In addition to this,
workers receive a pay less than minimum wage for extensive manual labour, barely enough for one
meal a day. Sweatshops are a prime example of cheap labour of eight hours a day; the Reference for
Business Encyclopedia claims that one of the earliest examples of a sweatshop was in the crude textile
mills of Ecuador where the Spanish conquerors enslaved the natives for the manufacture of clothes
and textiles. In more recent years, the majority of sweatshops have been successfully transformed into
businesses with more reasonable working conditions, but nonetheless sweatshops do continue to exist

A: Yes, of course. The America s education is not similar to Hong Kong. I feel no pressure in studying
here. It is so comfortable to study in this country.
Q: What do you think about the differences of education or college between Hong Kong and the
United
States?
A: I don t know how to say but I can remember that when I was studying in Hong Kong, I felt
extremely terrible pressure everyday. You know there are only 7 universities in Hong Kong and more
than ninety thousand students want to get to the universities every year. It is not enough seat to supply
all the students. You have to contend with another students. You must fight for the certification to go

The Need For Intravascular Catheters Are Evidently Clear
The need for intravascular catheters are evidently clear in modern day medical practices especially in
the intensive care setting (ICU). Despite the necessity of such catheters, their use places patients at
risk of developing complications such as infections, thrombophlebitis, endocarditis and a variety of
other metastatic infections. In the hospital setting an estimated 250,000 bloodstream infections (BSI)
associated to CVC occur annually, thus the need for proper aseptic skin care. The widely used
antiseptic for cleansing CVC sites in the United States was iodine. However several studies have
shown that cleansing CVC sites with 2% aqueous chlorhexidine gluconate lowered BSI when
compared to iodine. (O Grady et. al., 2011)

Define the Scope of the EBP
According to the CDC an approximate 80,000 BSI cases occur in ICUs annually in the United States,
with an estimated 250,000 cases in hospitals as a whole. The mortality rate associated in this case is
around 12 25% per infection, causing a cost of $25,000 per episode for the health care system. In this
writers facility aseptic techniques are emphasized, including the use of chlorhexidine instead of
iodine. The impact of BSI via CVC are not only patient centered but cost the healthcare system an
approximate $34,508 $56,000 per case to treat each infection.
Stakeholders
Members that would be included on the team to prevent CVC associated BSI are the physician whose
responsibility is to ensure proper procedures and practices are carried out during insertion, such as
aseptic techniques. After insertion of the CVC then it is the job of the radiologist to ensure proper
placement of the tube using X Ray imaging. After insertion and confirmation of placement then the
nurse takes over, performing duties such as dressing changes and assessment of the site for
complications. Also part of the team is the certified nursing assistant (CNA) who spends more time
with the patient than anyone else on the team who can report complications earlier to the nurse.
Determine Responsibility of Team Members These members are important to the team because they

American Apparel Industry
Many American businesses, companies and retailers continue to keep manufacturing of products
overseas, because they can employ less expensive labor with fewer regulations to comply with. In the
end the retailer can sell their products manufactured overseas to the consumer in America at a lower
price. Such as furniture, natural resources are more accessible overseas and this is an advantage for the
furniture retail business. When the U.S. and other nations allowed China to join the World Trade
Organization in 2001 over 2.7 million jobs were sent overseas. This was a benefit for the overseas

for several reasons mainly because overseas labor is starting to cost more. The government is realizing
to bring jobs home they must make changes to the current system in place, one way is to end the tax
breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. Manufacturing here in America, allows us as English
speaking consumers to speak directly with an English speaking customer service department that we
can understand. US manufacturers provide US customer service. There is no substitution then to speak
to a customer service representative that understands you. In china wages and benefits are rising by
approximately 15% to 20% per year at the average Chinese factory and that will slash China s labor
cost advantage. International shipping costs are rising and is now affecting the costs of the
manufacturing process. In 2014, it was the first net gain of US manufacturing jobs in at least 20 years
with 10,000 jobs added that year. The president has called on congress to end the tax breaks for
companies that ship jobs overseas with the, Bring Jobs Home Act, it will give relief to companies that
bring jobs back. US manufacturers pay taxes, even though no one enjoys paying taxes, but we enjoy

Jackson Ohio Christian University Global Community Discovery Global problem solving and morals cross in various ways. Clearly, the way in which issues, for example, environmental change, asset consumption, vicious passing, savage disparities in life chances, and dangers to biodiversity are drawn nearer and considered, not to mention determined, epitomize muultiple and significant moral issues. At the most fundamental level, the impression of the presence of an issue is gotten from a feeling of incongruence between a given circumstance and the qualities the viewer esteems pertinent to that circumstance. As needs be the structure of qualities that prompts the esteeming of issues as worldwide issues needs examination. In any case, similarly, issues are not comprehended in any dynamic or immaterial unbiased or quality free sense. They are determined, or there is work to determine them, in headings or as per criteria and objectives got from qualities sets. The justification for nationalization of private firms and extensive involvement of the state in productive activities was the ability of the state to control negative externalities, exploit economies of scale and operate firms at officially optimal level, the outcome proved otherwise for Tanzania. The government failure occurred in the following ways; The state owned cooperation turned out to be inefficient in almost all areas of their operations. For example many supply companies operated below standard such as National Milling Cooperation which was supplying food stuffs like maize, packed maize flour, rice and wheat causing higher demand in urban areas. Another company was Regional Trading Company (RTC) for supplying commodities like sugar, soaps, wine from Dodoma, and these caused shortages of the commodities. Due to lack of fund from central government health services, water, education (especially primary schools) remained a big problem in both urban and rural areas. The government operation in providing these social services was highly contributed by among other things inadequate foreign exchange as the country relied much on agricultural products which did not competed strongly with the same crops from other countries in ... Accused criminals are giving up the rights to a fair trial, to indeed plead guilty, in order to receive a much lesser charge, more comfortable prison, or even to agree to testify against someone else. Fewer than ten percent of criminal cases brought up by the federal government even make it to the federal courts to be tried before juries each year. This would leave the court system plenty behind and nearly almost impossible to attend to each case. Plea bargaining is essential to court cases and must be done (Emerick), stated attorney Samuel Buccero. The court is not set up to have multiple trials. The dockets are set up to be done in less than an hour (Emerick), Buccero said. Plea bargaining may have advantages in America s and Canada s Justice System, but it also proposes an advantage for the accused criminal. It gives the defendant the opportunity to reduce sentence and provide a better, more comfortable stay in correctional facilities. It gives the opportunity for guilty criminals, who know a guilty sentence will be there if facing a jury, to plead guilty to the case for one s own benefits. Rather than spending time presenting a losing case in front of a judge and jury, and losing plenty of money in court fees, the case can be wrapped up in a matter of agreement. Guilty defendants seem to be in a win win situation and can use plea bargaining as a total advantage. While plea bargaining proposes plenty of advantages through the court of law in America and Canada, it shows some disadvantages as well. First off, plea bargaining seems unlawful to many. Every American is entitled to a right to a fair trial by the court of law. Giving the opportunity to plea bargain is taking away from those constitutional rights. Defendants ... Erica Fryberg Friendships is a poem by Erica Fryberg that can relate to almost anybody who has experienced real and fake friendships, as it is about the speaker s perspective on friendships, and the difference between having real and fake friends, forced friendships and real friendships. Through a comparison of friendships and furniture, the poet uses a humorous tone to describe friendships, making the speaker relatable. I particularly enjoyed this, as on a personal level I was able to relate to this, as a student at a school where teachers attempted to force unnatural relationships multiple times. Overall, this poem was an engaging poem, which, through language and poetic devices, clearly described the difference between real and fake friendships. As the title implies, the subject matter of this poem are friendships, and real and fake friends. The first stanza describes how forced friendships are often fake, and are only an idealized image of real friendships, made only for the purpose of pleasing the teacher. From our research, cooperation among Africans is needed to effectively solve the flow of conflict diamonds. An African Union was set up to speak on behalf of the African nations. Furthermore, Broadhead commenced an aggressive capital expenditure program designed to meet projected demand into the next decade. FPL budgeted $6.6 billion, spread over five years, for the expansion. The company also felt that it would be prudent to reduce debt, and that part of the cash savings from the dividend cut would be used for this purpose. At the same time, the company announced plans to return part of the cash saved by the dividend cut by repurchasing up to 10 million shares of stock over the next three years. FPL explained that this would reduce shareholders taxes. We can say that the dividend changes have been so much less volatile than earnings changes because: 1) management believed that shareholders prefer a steady progression in dividends 2) managers are reluctant to make dividend changes that might have to be reversed. They are particularly worried about a dividend increase, which would affect the stock price. It also says that the word faith means strong belief or trust in someone or something , belief in the existence of God , or a system of religious beliefs. In the instance of the term interfaith , we can put the two definitions together and say that interfaith is involving two or more systems of religious beliefs, or an existence of God. The dictionary defines marriage as the relationship that exists between a husband and wife. So, putting the words interfaith and marriage together would ultimately mean that the man and wife have two different religious belief systems. Turner and West s (2006) book, Perspectives on Family Communication, defines interfaith marriage as unions that include at least two different religious identities. That is the definition of interfaith marriage in its simplest form, but an interfaith marriage is far more complex than just its meaning. To me, and also many others across the globe, interfaith marriage is a relationship that needs special commitment and attention, and now, I will attempt to show you why. Getting multiple opinions on a certain decision or situation could be the difference between a complete disaster taking place or a relieving solution. Some advice that others give happens to be useless and irrational, but if someone seeks more than one opinion, he or she could avoid bad advice by following the good instead. More opinions equals more options. Seeking multiple opinions is beneficial for you, and others too, because everyone has a different mindset, it can prevent bad decisions, and even helps a person make better choices in the future. To begin with, every human in the world has a different mindset. Some think deeply, some think simply. We are all different from the way we dress to the way we draw stick people. Then you have the Quakers they weren t just men appearing on labels of oatmeal bins; they were chosen to be on the label because the Quaker faith projected the values of honesty, integrity, purity, and strength. However, the Puritans and Quakers both traveled to the New World to escape religious prosecutions. John Winthrop, leading the Puritans, wanted a more purified state and society, giving them the name, Puritans. William Penn, leading the Quakers, wanted to spread their beliefs through themselves. They questioned leaders, resulting in leading themselves. Both had different views of reconstructing a new society, religion, and government. Religion was important to the Quaker and Puritans, but how far they took it made them different. Instead of fighting to purify the Church of England, the Puritans just traveled to the New World. They settled in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, which is Boston today. They were able to start over and do it the right way, but everyone had to practice the bible or be punished. In their purified eyes, the Church back in England was embracing too many Catholic beliefs. We should remind the readers that this poem was not a result of imagination. Dorothy, Wordsworth s sister provides us an explanation of the occasion which inspired Wordsworth to produce this masterpiece: When we were in the woods beyond Gowbarrow Park, we saw a few daffodils close to waterside.
