A Reflection On Suspended Above Lessons
Suspended Above Lessons How could I have known that I would ve learned so much that day? How
could I have known that my whole world was going to change that day? Yet again if I just would ve
climbed down the same side of the tree, I wouldn t be writing this right now. The sun was veiled by
the perilous clouds looming over us, setting a somber look to the horizon. The icy air funneled through
my throat and surged through my veins. A small group composed of my Mother, Father, Aunt,
Grandma, Grandpa, and Sister trudged through the damp pasture. Me, being a tiny 40 pound five year
old, wandered behind the bundled up rosy cheeks. We found our way to a tree filled valley with our
leather skinned, rusty chainsaw wielding Grandpa Gary leads the ... Show more content on

That tree had been just another armored beast I had to slay. I found myself staring at the prickly, waxy
needles of the weaved branches that were sheltering me. I took an elongated breath and stuck my
tongue out as I grabbed a gnarled branch. I hoisted myself up the first limb and slithered through the
winding sprigs. My moves were almost like clockwork, delicate and in rhythm with my breaths and
my appendages. The uneven and disheveled wood was a great grip, but tore into my subtle fingers.
My shoe s soles couldn t take the uneven surfaces and relied on my arms to do all the work. The
offshoots got thinner as I proceeded up the tree, forcing me to be more skeptical of my movements. I
began to worry about the drop below, but my worry faded away as I felt the warm touch of the sun
wash over me. One more branch remained. I grasped that last branch and let out a deep breath. I
relaxed a bit and examined my hands. They were raw. The adrenaline faded and I was left with
skinned, throbbing hands and 50 feet to the ground. Somewhere down the hill, my dainty sister was
struggling her way up the hill. I returned to my big sister mode and started my descent down the tree.
This part was even harder than climbing up the tree with depending on my legs to support me. As the
twigs got wider, the gaps between them increased too. Sometimes I had to extend my whole body
length just to reach the next twig. This seemed weird because I didn t remember straining myself

Psalms Of Life Henry Longfellow
An Analysis of 3 messages in Psalm of Life Life is too short to wait. There won t always be time in
life. People need to realize that time does not slow down, if anything it feels faster. Everyone needs to
look at life one day at a time, because if you look and plan for just the future life will breeze right past
you. Many people just look forward to their death instead of trying to see what they can accomplish on
this earth. If people were to just see what their true potential is, then they would understand why life
should not be wasted. Henry Longfellow was a man that was a poet, his was also a traveler and a
romantic. He wrote what the old type of poetry, known to have rhyme and rhythm. He identified
European literature and thoughts throughout his poet. In Henry Longfellow Poem A Psalm of Life
there are three messages told about life. Mr. Longfellow demonstrates the importance of living in the
now. Time is not something that anyone has to waste, it should be used wisely. In Henry s poem A
Psalm of Life he states, Let the dead Past bury its dead/Act act in the living Present! (Lines 22 23)
These lines sum up as whatever happens in life happens. People just need to let the past stay there,
because in reality it is not a real thing. There is no way to go back to the past and touch it. Instead of
holding on to the past and not letting go, people should just act in living the present. There is no need
for someone to spend their entire life thinking about what they did

Homeowner s Identity In Wichita, Kansas-Personal Narrative
In Wichita, Kansas, in the early 2000 s, a man walked into a police station and exposed himself to the
cops that he was an undercover agent who had recently taken the identity of a local homeowner. The
man gave them the police the address of the house that he was currently staying at. Therefore, if
anyone was to report him as an impostor or state that he had broken into the house, the police would
not have to investigate, as he had already come in to expose his situation. Later on, no one really
understood why he decided to turned himself in so the cops sent a unit of police to the address he had
given them to see what was going on. They found the same man, that turned himself in earlier, living
there under the original homeowner s identity.

TITLE Analysis of Judgment delivered by Justice Bhagwati on Fundamental rights.
INTRODUCTION
Justice Bahgwati served the supreme court of India and delivered a number of landmark judgment that
has given a new direction to fundamental rights. Mainly the combination of Article 14,19 and 21 is
rightly interpreted in the case of Maneka Gandhi v union of India. The case was brought in the
Supreme Court when the passport of Mrs. Maneka Gandhi was impounded and she was not allowed to
go abroad. In this case justice Bhagwati had given a new dimension to Right to life and personal
liberty and elaborated the concept of Personal liberty .

case and why this case is always considered as a blot on Indian judiciary. The fundamental rights are
very important that are granted by the constitution against the arbitrariness of state and even though it
is evident that the judgment delivered in the famous ADM Jabalpur case was an erroneous judgment

the Judgments in different cases by Justice Bhagwati helped to widen the scope of justice delivery in
India?
The aim for carrying out this research work is to analyze the judgment of Justice Bhagwati on

Catholic Beliefs
Catholic I Believe In God
STILL CATHOLIC AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I believe in God, Father Almighty, and in Jesus
Christ, His only begotten son, Our Lord, who was born of the Holy Ghost and of Mary, the Virgin,
who was crucified under Pontius Pilate and buried; on the third day He rose from the dead ascended
into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, from whence He shall come to judge the
quick and the dead; and in the Holy Ghost; the Holy Church; the remission of sins; and the
resurrection of the dead. (Apostles Creed) I am Catholic, and this prayer that is said at church every
Sunday encompasses my beliefs as a Catholic. Before I get into what I believe in as a Catholic, I
would like to give some background on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Catholics are followers of Jesus. Our journey begins at baptism, and we continue on that journey
towards eternal happiness. There are two main ideas that separate Catholicism from Christianity. The
first is that Catholics believe in the Church as its teacher. This means that just as you might need a
math teacher to explain your textbook in a way that you understand, we need the leaders of the Church
(Pope, bishops, and priests) to interpret the Bible. We shouldn t take everything the Bible says
literally, and these leaders help us to apply its teachings to our lives. The second main idea is that there
are seven Sacraments (baptism, confession, communion, confirmation, marriage, annointing of the
sick, Holy Orders) that we need to incorporate into our lives so that we may live the teachings of the
Church. It is one thing to hear how we should live our lives, but it is another to do. That is where the
Sacraments help. The Church has laws governing the reception of all the sacraments. Members are
expected to try and understand the meaning of the Church s rituals and to develop a full sacramental
lifestyle. (web) Catholicism has other teachings that are integral to the religion. Followers are
expected to live according to the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament, the Gospel message of
Jesus Christ, and the laws and moral teachings of the Church. The Church is officially against any
racial or national criteria for membership. It is a universal church,

Theoretical Foundations Of Advanced Nursing
Pain Concept
Britton Lerch
Due Date: September 15, 2015
Kaplan University
MN502: Theoretical Foundations of Advanced Nursing
Dr. Phelps Introduction
Concepts are ideas that can assist nurses with understanding various situations. This enables
researchers seeking scientific theories in order to identify and measure theory components. It is best to
have clear concepts in order to prevent misunderstandings. Confusion can hinder patient s knowledge
when providing patient education. Poor communication can lead to unintentional non compliance and
delay recovery processes (Stewart, Schofield, Elliott, Torrance, Leveille, 2014).
Pain
Young, old, male, female, we all feel degrees of pain for a variety of reasons. Pain is real and it is
different for everyone. Pain can hold a magnitude of negative effects for all. Medication and non
medication interventions are approaches that can lessen pain. To understand pain, and how to manage
pain, one should explore the true concept of pain.
Pain can refer to an emotional, psychological, or spiritual state; also, pain may result from a physical
condition. The purpose of this paper is to study the concept of pain and to comprehend the
pathophysiology of physical pain. Physical pain can be acute or chronic, mild or severe, dull or sharp,
and in a precise location or referred (Mosby s Dictionary of Medicine, Nursing Health Professions,
2006). Through understanding this concept, nurses can initiate interventions that will ease the

Andrew Luth What Is Orthodox Theology Analysis
Andrew Louth in his article What is theology? , warns that there is a danger of setting theology down
alongside all other academic studies and assuming that theologia is one of them. The difference being
the very purpose of the study. Yet within this specific discipline, namely theology, it entails a
dimension beyond the disciplines of all other human learning, that academes must bear witness to. To
consider theology as simply the study of God in scholastic terms, will almost 1 inevitably lead into all
sorts of possible misuse of a theologian s apparent theophany. These
knowings about God cannot be presented without making clear that at its heart there is an engagement,
ultimately an engagement with God. When theology becomes a purely ... Show more content on

If we seek to understand it, we will only understand in part. But there is something to understand
nonetheless, and such understanding is what we might well call theology.21
In the Orthodox Church and tradition, theology has a very different meaning from the one we give it
today. It is a gift from God, a fruit of the purity of the Christian s spiritual life. Theology is identified
with the vision of God, with the immediate vision of the personal God, with the personal experience of
the transfiguration of creation by uncreated grace. Theology is not a theory of the world, a
metaphysical system ... not an intellectual discipline but an experiential participation, a communion.

Revelation is also preserved in the church. The church today is a great, living storehouse of the
knowledge of God. From within the church revelation can sprout an inner revelation. In the church the
fullness of her understanding is given through doctrine, but, the knowledge of this world is always
only partial, awaiting the fullest revelation in the Parousia. It is very important to

Why Teenagers Should Start Later Essay
Imagine this, it s 10:30 p.m. and you are walking down the street when a cop approaches you. The
next thing you know you re in big trouble for being on the streets after 10:00 p.m. Don t like the sound
of that do you? My city council is considering a curfew that would make it illegal for teenagers to be
out on the streets after 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and after midnight on weekends. I disagree with this
consideration because teenagers may have to work late, they could be in danger, or there could be an
emergency.
First of all, some teenagers end up working late at night and can t help that. Working night shift causes
teenagers to get home late. Most teenagers don t have a car, so they walk to and from work. If there is
a curfew it will get the

Megadeth Research Paper
Megadeth in concert Megadeth is one of the largest of all time metal bands and has had major
influences in its genre. When the chance came to see them in concert was it was just to irresistible to

Metal Church, Suicidal Tendencies and Butcher Babies. An impressive line up with all bands having
attained some form of success or another in their respected fields. These bands all under one roof

There were distinct differences between these two projects, which were the few of the many different
key components on having a successful project. One of the few key components in having a successful
Kickstarter, is the story behind the project. In 3Doodler, Not only do they discuss how they came up
with the idea, and the specifications of their prototype, but in addition, they also discuss and explain
what they can actually make with the 3Doodler, either by freehand, or even with the use of their

implanted into their description was showing they have a prototype and show that this design was
actually feasible. Another well made addition to making this successful was through their video.
Similar to their written description, it gives an even more in depth sight at what the device can actually

execution. The description states on the statistics on deaths related to alcohol. The story never actually

Identity In Sandra Cisneros s The House On Mango Street
The House On Mango Street
Though Sandra Cisneros The House on Mango Street brings up several aspects of young Esperanza s
internal conflict, her discovering what comprises her identity is the most prominent point throughout
the story. While the reader watches a young girl grow up, they also watch her question all of her
observations that shape her perception of herself. As she deals with life s harsh reality in her low
income neighborhood, the hardships she faces make her question who she really is, and what defines
her.
One of the reasons that it can be complicated for Esperanza to find out who she is, is that gender roles
are being forced upon her future constantly. From her own family, to her friends abusive fathers, she is
shown that her culture ...[doesn t] like their women strong (Cisneros 10). In the Vignette titled My
Name , Esperanza explains the struggles that she has with the personal meaning she has put behind it.
She explains how her grandma was like her, a wild horse of a woman (Cisneros 11) and that she was
forced into a sad married life. This causes confusion with her identity, because she doesn t want to
inherit her [grandmother s lonely] place by the window. (Cisneros 11) However, she does want to be
her own, strong self. Esperanza learning how this influences her identity as the book continues will
teach her to ignore gender roles and pay attention to what she feels is most important to her.
Another way that Esperanza has trouble with her identity is the fact that she ascotiates living on
Mango Street directly with who she is. Throughout the book, she struggles with her house not being a
home to her, and that it isn t the place she thought it would be. When she says that she needs a house
she can point to. But this isn t it. (Cisneros 5) in the first vignette House on Mango Street , you can
feel her embarrasment in the where she lives. Esperanza is the type of person who feels as if certain
items reflect who you are. For example, when the reader hears about her expectations of a house with
three washrooms...[with] trees around it, a great big yard and grass growing without a fence. (Cisneros
4), she later explains how she is ashamed of her current living situation compared to

Roosevelt s Reforms During The Great Depression
Once President Franklin Roosevelt was elected during the Great Depression, his first 100 days enacted
what he called the New Deal. This deal was a series of reforms that were meant to increase available
jobs, better the working conditions, and put money back into the economy. Jobs offered during this
time, as well as the relief, recovery, and reform efforts gave a kick start to the American economy,
helping to pull us out of the Great Depression. Some examples of these efforts can be seen in the
Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the National Recovery Administration (NRA), and the Social
Security Act (SSA). The relief effort that I chose, the Civilian Conservation Corps, was an effort to
both conserve our natural resources as well as put young men between the ages of 18 and 25 back in
work. The act employed 2.5 million primarily white men into ... Show more content on

services available. This program inevitably failed when the rules that were created were too long and
specific to be enforced regularly and efficiently. Despite this, they still managed to have a few positive
effects on society, such as helping end child labor in the textile business. Lastly, the Social Security
Act was one of many reform efforts that sprung from the New Deal. This act was an attempt to
provide general welfare for women and their children, those with disabilities such as blindness, older
individuals, and public health, and helped financially support them while they were looking for work
elsewhere. It was most common with elderly individuals, as they received what is known as old age
pensions. This was one of the few reforms that has stayed with us since the New Deal, and was
economically successful in bringing America out of the Great

Hildegard Von Bingen Vision
In the 2009 film, Vision: The Life of Hildegard von Bingen, the writer/director Margarethe von Trotta
puts focus on Hildegard s journey to serve the Lord as best she can, in a time where the church is run
by powerful men, and where the Roman Catholic Church is focused on centralizing the church and
government though the first crusades. Hildegard (Barbara Sukowa) changes the history of the church
by transcribing her visions into text and by breaking away from her cloister to start her own
monasteries. As a visionary, she sees God through a different lens and thinks of him not to be feared,
but to be celebrated. She believes his gifts will heal and guide, so long as one s heart is pure and
humble. Margarethe von Trotta does a great job of showing the audience that Hildegard s view of God
is not the same as the masses, some of which viewed God as a punisher that should be feared. As the
film opened, the audience was exposed to the apocalyptic thinking of members of the church. The first
scene of the movie shows a gathering of people in a place of worship, waiting out the end of the
world. This congregation is surprised to wake up to another day. This was a common theme in earlier
Christianity, and a view that later in the movie, we realize Hildegard von Bingen didn t share. A
similar scene in terms of how one viewed God, was that of self flagellation early on in the movie.
With the self harming of one s body for sacrifice to God, to suffer as Jesus did, it gives the

Essay On Bringing Crime To America
The facts aren t known because the media won t report on them, Donald Trump declared during his
immigration speech in Phoenix on Wednesday. A few hours earlier, the Republican nominee had been
in Mexico City, where he had held a joint press conference with the Mexican President, Enrique Peña
Nieto, and lauded Mexican Americans as amazing people . . . just beyond reproach. In Phoenix,
flanked by American flags, he struck a different tone. Trump warned the crowd that if Clinton were
elected, America would be inundated by a new wave of illegal immigration that would result in
thousands of more violent, horrible crimes, and total chaos and lawlessness.
Again and again in his Presidential campaign, Trump has issued sweeping assertions about how
immigrants are bringing crime to America. Wednesday offered only the latest, and loudest, example.
Examining these claims is instructive, not for what they tell us about Trump but for what they reveal
about immigrants, whose relationship to crime is greatly misunderstood. If you live in a city that has
become less dangerous in recent decades, a growing body of evidence suggests that you actually have
immigrants to thank.
When Trump kicked off his campaign, last year, he accused Mexico of sending rapists and criminals
to America. This was a patently outrageous claim, and there was no evidence behind it. According to
Robert Sampson, a sociologist at Harvard and the former scientific director of the Project on Human

Freud s Psychosexual Stages Of Development
Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist born on the sixth of May in 1856. He began his
researches of the human mind in 1881, while America and Europe reformed insane asylums and
became more fascinated with unnatural psychological states. He first studied nervous diseases
examining fish and simultaneously attaining his degree at the University of Vienna, and in the late
nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Freud explored the human psyche far more than other
neurologists during his time, which earned him the title of the founding father of psychoanalysis.
Eventually he explored conflicts from a person s adolescence and how they had an astounding effect
on adulthood and created what became known to be his Psychosexual Stages of Development.
Freud s psychosexual stages of development is a concept derived from the belief that any problems
that occurred through adulthood were the primary result of experiences in early childhood
matriculation. He gathered that the human species went through five stages of psychosexual
development, and that during each stage of this development, experienced a sense of euphoria in a
particular body part more than others. The areas of our bodies that felt this sensation were known as
erogenous zones, which were specific parts of the human anatomy such as the mouth, the anus, and
the genitals, that contained vigorous pleasure emitting qualities at specific stages of development in
accordance with personality development focused on the

Between Traditions And Modernity By Neil Gaiman
Between Traditions and Modernity: The new identity parameters
In modern societies the countless traditions and beliefs as a result of the transmission of concepts from
generation to generations coexist with the tendencies generate for the conditions of life imposed by
modernity. This cultural phenomenon is not unfamiliar to American society, and the general idea of
Neil Gaiman in American Gods in his work is to show that reality through his writing. In his book,
while the lector read about the American culture and the current situation in the modern society, arise
the necessity of thinking over the loss of cultural values and social roots transmitted from ancestors,
and those that all human beings have adopted over their existence. Through time, people have
followed gods, ideas, or things that embody perfection and a model of what they should be. Humans
had worshiped them as a result of a voluntary surrender or the social pressure. However, at the same
time and increasingly more frequent their minds had been captivated and they have given time and
efforts into activities and desires which have become the current ideals. They have come into their
lives unnoticed, but with such force to the point that they dominate their existence without being
aware of them.
The author s work raises the life situations of foreign gods brought to America, represented as normal
people in everyday situations, suffering neglect they have felt over the years due to the transformation

In some cases, early orthodontic treatment may actually prevent a future problem from developing,
decrease the amount of time that treatment is necessary when the child is older, make future any

situations when an orthodontist must address issues as the face and jaws are still forming. With the

Puritan Pros And Cons
The Puritans endured many adversities whilst under the rule of King Charles I: son of King James.
King Charles adopted Arminianism; an ideology created by a philosopher named Jacob Arminius.
Arminianism taught that anyone could obtain God s grace; anyone could be saved from the hellfire.
King Charles and his father King James saw themselves to be God s right hand men. They spread their
interpreted version of the faith and forced it onto the people of Britain. Anyone who challenged them
was presumably challenging the authority of God. Puritans feared King Charles and his ability to do
harm to them under the law. The King also disabled Parliament; the House of Common/House of
Lords, leaving no room for Puritans to engage in politics. King Charles sent his Arch Bishop to arrest
Puritans for practicing faith that opposed the beliefs of the Monarch. The Puritans were fed up and
embarked on what was the biggest migration to the Colonies in the history of Colonial America. There

colonists began to muscle their way into the Chesapeake area with an incentive to purchase as many
African slaves as possible. The Portuguese and the Spanish owned slaves to produce their sugar.
Longstanding racism rendered Africans inferior in order to justify permanent

Comparing Soccer and Water Polo Essay examples
The history of sports dates back before the discovery of America or even the birth of Jesus Christ.
Sports have been in a constant evolution ever since their introduction to the world, such as Tsu Chu to
soccer or polo to water polo. Although soccer and water polo are popular in America today many
athletes have come to love these two unique sports. Both sports are physically exhausting, demanding
all an athlete has to offer to the game. They test the limit of the body and push it into the next level of
competition. To a new comer these two vicious sports seem drastically different, but when it comes to
the basics no two sports could be more alike. Soccer is a sport widely known and loved throughout
Europe, but little in the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just like soccer, water polo is extremely popular within Europe, but in the States the demand for the
sport is not as high. It is played in a pool that is twenty five meters long. Water polo unlike soccer
restricts a player to the use of one their hands at a time. The player must tread water, while being able
to catch and throw the ball with one hand, along with a defender trying to pull him or her under water.
The pool consists of two goals, and two teams of seven trying to put the polo ball in the opponents net.
Just like a soccer player would use his or her foot work to get around a defender, the polo player uses
moves to break free from the defender and advance down the pool. Teams will wear matching
uniforms, but since they are in water they wear head caps with their number and team color on it, so
they can differentiate the players. Players must survive four quarters of seven minutes, while only
being allowed thirty five seconds to have possession of the ball. But once that time has expired the
ball is handed to the other team. When it comes to rules, referees are very picky and allow very little
foul play. One common ground for both sports would be the use of a ball about the same size. Along
with the flow of the game, since players are constantly on the move to either defend the ball, score, or
get the ball away from their opponent. Soccer and water polo are both in need for the speed of a quick
and smart player who is willing to

Vince Lombardi s Perceptions Of Competitiveness In Human...
What is competition? According to a modern social scientist, Competition is one of the most basic
functions of nature. Those best able to compete within an environmental niche survive. Those least
well adapted die out ( Humans are Competitive Beings ). Henry Russell Sanders, UCLA Bruins
football coach, is credited with the phrase, Winning isn t everything, it s the only thing. In comparison,
Vince Lombardi is quoted as having said, Winning isn t everything, but the desire to win is. Although
the different meanings of these quotes exemplify the varying interpretations of competitiveness in
human nature, Lombardi s values of winning better displays a healthy view of competition because it
is more fundamentally realistic. Lombardi s idea involving competition also reflects a society in good
health, even though society may be obsessed with always coming out on top. This emphasis on
winning can cause a variety of consequences.
It is depicted in Lombardi s quote that one s desire to achieve greatness, participation, and overall
effort is more significant regardless of the outcome. This promotes a healthier perspective on
competition by supporting the idea that winning isn t guaranteed all the time and encourages a positive
attitude toward failure as a lesson maker. John Wooden, a UCLA basketball coach, believed losing
was just as important as winning. Winning ten NCAA championships in his coaching career, Wooden
advocated constant improvement and pride in performance,

The Cricket Match Essay
The Cricket Match
Samuel Selvon s short story, The Cricket Match explores the subtle racial tensions amongst West
Indian immigrants living in England whilst working with English counterparts. Selvon sets his
narrative in a tyre factory in Chiswick, England. Most likely, the timeline in which this story occurs is
somewhere in the mid 1950 s when England were still colonists of most of the English speaking
Caribbean islands. The main idea behind Selvon s tale lies with Algernon the protagonist, whose
desire to fabricate his knowledge of cricket, so as to simultaneously impress but show disdain towards
the Englishmen around him backfires because it is this self proclaimed knowledge which places him
into conflict. Selvon also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Selvon ingeniously crafts the resolution, though with slight absurdity, through a somewhat amusing
and likable manner very similar to that of a picaresque novel. Algernon manages to compose an
unenthusiastic team to play against the English team. Still, even more amusingly, the English players
are equally afraid of Algernon s team and vice versa. The match commences with the West Indian
eleven batting first, and displaying a commendable though fortuitous performance. Conversely, and
perhaps conveniently though, rain begins to fall, hence bringing the match to an abrupt end. This
resolution allows Algernon to save his credibility and further taunt his English co workers: If my bat
didn t fly out my hand ... as if to say he would have lost the ball in the other county. and: ... next
cricket season I will get a sharp eleven together... now if you want me to show you how I make that
stroke... This conclusion which Selvon employs gives Algernon a fairly roguish characteristic, and
thus the picaresque similarity.
Selvon s plot structure is basically simple and straightforward. The narrator introduces the story and
highlights the major flaw of the protagonist, which then manifests itself as a central part of the
conflict. While the rising action begins to escalate, minor episodes relating to the conflict begin to
surface, thereby enhancing the dramatic effect of the climax. The plot s falling action is

Adult Learning Is The Acquisition Of Knowledge By Adults

Adult learning is the acquisition of knowledge by adults. Theories on adult learning have been
discoursed and analyzed thoroughly by different people, with the aim of trying to define it and
optimize it. The two articles I have read describe adult learning, discuss its characteristics and explain
various approaches and means of optimization of this subject.
Abstract 1
Basically, this article by Malcolm Knowles is a conglomerate of all aspects of adult learning. It
outlines aspects of adult learning, theories of adult learning, and expands on them. The main idea of
this article is to create awareness on the existence of adult learning, and to help instructors of adult
learning to know how to go about it successfully. Additionally, the article is of help to adult learners to
enable them to learn the most they can (Knowles, 2007).
Matters concerning adult learning in the article are:
Active Learning
This involves a learning process that engages the learners. Attention is moved from the teacher to the
learners through practices such as role playing, group work and problem based approaches, for
instance. These activities put the learners in a situation where it is up to them to use available learning
resources to solve problems, hence causing active learning.
Adult Learning Concepts
These are principles that enhance and promote quality and successful adult learning. These concepts
include:

The Cold War During World War II
The Cold War was known as the period from the end of World War II until the collapse of the Soviet
Union1 in 1991. It featured many government standings and rivalries such as political, economic,
military, and diplomatic! Stunned in a clash between two very diverse ways of life, The Cold War was
a competition for Power and Global Influence between the world s two superpowers at the current
time. After World War II which America and The Soviet Union fought together as allies against Adolf
Hitler and the Nazi s, the two Countries found it extremely difficult to communicate in the Current
World we live in. Noted by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 1946, an Iron Curtain seemed
to separate the East, dominated by the Soviet Union, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Capitalism means that, well any and every businesses and market forces with supply and demand
determine what goods are available in their markets and what the prices they want those goods to be
are. Everything, land, shops, housing, industries, and land are for the most part, owned by private
individuals or companies instead of the collective whole. And in The United States political system, a
democracy, every single citizen chose their leaders by voting them into office by elections that are free
and fair. Governmental oversight however of every day life is very minimal, allowing its individuals
to make each and every one of their decisions on their own free will. As to what career they want to
pursue, where they want to live, what they want to eat, etc. Although each system had benefits and
disadvantages, during The Cold War both the Soviet Union and The United States were viewing the
other s system as incorrect and a threat to their own system. Both countries worried that the other may
indeed one day attempt to spread its ideology throughout the world. The United States was unwilling
to live in a world, as where communism dominated and out ruled, and The Soviet Union felt very
similar about living in a situation to where they would be under capitalism. Communist tent to believe
that capitalism is indeed a selfish ideology
as it ignores the needs of the communities. According to staunch communist and Cuban president
Fidel Castro, Why do we believe that the

Speech On Roswell Incident 1947
Speech on the Roswell incident 1947 Can you imagine the U.S government lying to the public to
cover up extraterrestrial life? According to the widely held public opinion, near Roswell, New
Mexico, in July 1947 the United States government recovered a crashed UFO and its extraterrestrial
occupants. This was referred to as the Roswell Incident and the U.S. military had covered the issue up
quickly. The original story in the eyes of non UFO buffs for this conspiracy is that on the fourth of
July weekend 1947 a rancher William Brazel reported to the sheriff that he recover the remains of one
of them flying saucers the military was then contacted and Major Jesse Marcel was assigned to
investigate the site. On the 8th of July 1947 after Marcel and 2 Counter Intelligence Corps agents
examined and collected the wreckage there was an announcement to the public that they recovered the
remains of a flying disc . But the next day this was clarified in a press conference that what was
recovered was only a weather balloon and nothing more. This has killed the ... Show more content on

Having so many witnesses seems like hard evidence but this can be misleading. The relevant issue
was not how many but the quality of the witnesses such as if they were firsthand or second hand
witnesses and how truthful these accounts are. Bill Moore and Charles Berlitz s only present 25 of the
claimed 70 testimonies in The Roswell Incident . Out of these 25 only 7 are first hand sources that

of them claim that the material was not from an extraterrestrial spacecraft. The rest of the witnesses
are secondary sources from hearsay or did not see the wreckage at

Evolution Of Nurses Over Time Nurse
Nurses have gone through a significant evolution over time. Nurses work in many setting such as
hospitals and homes. Some nurses are even stationed in foreign countries around the globe. In the past,
they took care of revolutionary soldiers. Where the brave soldiers went, the nurses followed, (A
history of care). In world war one and two they were put at risk for disease, and capture (A history of
care). Over time nurses have had had to enter many disastrous scenes to aid in care. For example,
Clara Maass died in 1901 for volunteering for experiments to control yellow fever (A history of care).
Over time nurses have made many contributions to this world to make it a better place.
Florence Nightingale began her nursing career in the Crimean

New Zealand s Constitutional Rules And Arrangements Essay
Firstly, the focus is on the fundamentals of New Zealand s constitutional rules and arrangements. A
constitution describes and establishes the major institutions of the government and endeavors to
regulate the power that they hold. The main constitutional institutions in New Zealand that are subject
to the constitution are the executive, the legislature, the judiciary and the Sovereign. The main features
of New Zealand s constitution is that it is a monarchy, it is a parliamentary system of government, and
it is a democracy. New Zealand s constitution is identified as an unwritten constitution because the key
constitutional rules and arrangements aren t written in one document. The rules and arrangements that
make up New Zealand s constitution can be found in legislation including, the Bill of Right 1688, the
Electoral Act 1993, Constitution Act 1986, the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990, the Treaty of
Waitangi Act 1975, the Judicature Act 1908, in the Cabinet Manual, judgments of the courts, the
Treaty of Waitangi, and in broader constitutional principles, doctrines, and conventions. Paine argued
a constitution must possess four key features; it must be a document, it is antecedent to government, it
must be comprehensive, and it must have the status of fundamental law. Whereas Morgan noted that a
constitution, whether it is written or unwritten, can only be authoritative if there is a broadly shared
consensus around its authority and legitimacy. Regardless of New

Gram Positive Bacteria
The first unknown test tube P found to be a gram positive bacteria. The biochemical that I performed
that were positive were catalase and blood agar. Catalase has the presence of an enzyme in the test
isolated detected using hydrogen peroxide. Bacteria possess catalase with a small number of bacteria;
isolation is added to hydrogen peroxide when bubbles occur. When the bubbles occurred on gram
positive bacterium it was a conformation of being positive. Also, blood agar plates is useful for
cultivating fastidious organisms and for determining the hemolytic capabilities of an organism. There
are three types of hemolysis, such as, beta hemolysis, alpha hemolysis, and y hemolysis. Beta

The biochemical has allowed me to find the bacterium, which was identified as Streptococcus
pneumonia. In 1881 Streptococcus pneumonia was isolated by Louis Pasteur, the species was known
as pneumococcus due to its role in the disease, pneumonia. In 1926 it was termed diplococcus
pneumonia due to its propensity to exist in pairs of cells, but in 1974 it was renamed Streptococcus
pneumoniae due to its formation of chains in liquid. It also played a key role in history molecular
genetics. It has shown the significant increase in antibiotic resistance because it is due to its use of
natural transformation system used for genetic exchange and can develop resistance to antibiotics
through mutation and natural selection. Streptococcus pneumoniae is known to cause pneumonia, a
disease of the upper respiratory tract that causes illness and death all over the world. The symptoms of
pneumoniae is when you cough greenish or yellow mucous, fever, chills, shortness of breath and chest
pain. The bacteria enter the body by inhalation of small water droplets. To treat bacterial infections

  • 2. A Reflection On Suspended Above Lessons Suspended Above Lessons How could I have known that I would ve learned so much that day? How could I have known that my whole world was going to change that day? Yet again if I just would ve climbed down the same side of the tree, I wouldn t be writing this right now. The sun was veiled by the perilous clouds looming over us, setting a somber look to the horizon. The icy air funneled through my throat and surged through my veins. A small group composed of my Mother, Father, Aunt, Grandma, Grandpa, and Sister trudged through the damp pasture. Me, being a tiny 40 pound five year old, wandered behind the bundled up rosy cheeks. That tree had been just another armored beast I had to slay. I found myself staring at the prickly, waxy needles of the weaved branches that were sheltering me. I took an elongated breath and stuck my tongue out as I grabbed a gnarled branch. I hoisted myself up the first limb and slithered through the winding sprigs. My moves were almost like clockwork, delicate and in rhythm with my breaths and my appendages. The uneven and disheveled wood was a great grip, but tore into my subtle fingers. My shoe s soles couldn t take the uneven surfaces and relied on my arms to do all the work. The offshoots got thinner as I proceeded up the tree, forcing me to be more skeptical of my movements. I began to worry about the drop below, but my worry faded away as I felt the warm touch of the sun wash over me. One more branch remained. I grasped that last branch and let out a deep breath. I relaxed a bit and examined my hands. They were raw. The adrenaline faded and I was left with skinned, throbbing hands and 50 feet to the ground. Somewhere down the hill, my dainty sister was struggling her way up the hill. I returned to my big sister mode and started my descent down the tree. This part was even harder than climbing up the tree with depending on my legs to support me. As the twigs got wider, the gaps between them increased too. Sometimes I had to extend my whole body length just to reach the next twig. This seemed weird because I didn t remember straining myself ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Psalms Of Life Henry Longfellow An Analysis of 3 messages in Psalm of Life Life is too short to wait. There won t always be time in life. People need to realize that time does not slow down, if anything it feels faster. Everyone needs to look at life one day at a time, because if you look and plan for just the future life will breeze right past you. Many people just look forward to their death instead of trying to see what they can accomplish on this earth. If people were to just see what their true potential is, then they would understand why life should not be wasted. Henry Longfellow was a man that was a poet, his was also a traveler and a romantic. He wrote what the old type of poetry, known to have rhyme and rhythm. He identified European literature and thoughts throughout his poet. In Henry Longfellow Poem A Psalm of Life there are three messages told about life. Mr. Longfellow demonstrates the importance of living in the now. Time is not something that anyone has to waste, it should be used wisely. In Henry s poem A Psalm of Life he states, Let the dead Past bury its dead/Act act in the living Present! (Lines 22 23) These lines sum up as whatever happens in life happens. People just need to let the past stay there, because in reality it is not a real thing. There is no way to go back to the past and touch it. Instead of holding on to the past and not letting go, people should just act in living the present. Catholic Beliefs Catholic I Believe In God STILL CATHOLIC AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I believe in God, Father Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten son, Our Lord, who was born of the Holy Ghost and of Mary, the Virgin, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate and buried; on the third day He rose from the dead ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, from whence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead; and in the Holy Ghost; the Holy Church; the remission of sins; and the resurrection of the dead. Our journey begins at baptism, and we continue on that journey towards eternal happiness. There are two main ideas that separate Catholicism from Christianity. The first is that Catholics believe in the Church as its teacher. This means that just as you might need a math teacher to explain your textbook in a way that you understand, we need the leaders of the Church (Pope, bishops, and priests) to interpret the Bible. We shouldn t take everything the Bible says literally, and these leaders help us to apply its teachings to our lives. The second main idea is that there are seven Sacraments (baptism, confession, communion, confirmation, marriage, annointing of the sick, Holy Orders) that we need to incorporate into our lives so that we may live the teachings of the Church. It is one thing to hear how we should live our lives, but it is another to do. That is where the Sacraments help. The Church has laws governing the reception of all the sacraments. Members are expected to try and understand the meaning of the Church s rituals and to develop a full sacramental lifestyle. (web) Catholicism has other teachings that are integral to the religion. Followers are expected to live according to the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament, the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, and the laws and moral teachings of the Church. Theoretical Foundations Of Advanced Nursing Pain Concept Britton Lerch Due Date: September 15, 2015 Kaplan University MN502: Theoretical Foundations of Advanced Nursing Dr. Phelps Introduction Concepts are ideas that can assist nurses with understanding various situations. This enables researchers seeking scientific theories in order to identify and measure theory components. It is best to have clear concepts in order to prevent misunderstandings. Confusion can hinder patient s knowledge when providing patient education. Poor communication can lead to unintentional non compliance and delay recovery processes (Stewart, Schofield, Elliott, Torrance, Leveille, 2014). Pain Young, old, male, female, we all feel degrees of pain for a variety of reasons. Pain is real and it is different for everyone. Pain can hold a magnitude of negative effects for all. Medication and non medication interventions are approaches that can lessen pain. To understand pain, and how to manage pain, one should explore the true concept of pain. Pain can refer to an emotional, psychological, or spiritual state; also, pain may result from a physical condition. The purpose of this paper is to study the concept of pain and to comprehend the pathophysiology of physical pain. Physical pain can be acute or chronic, mild or severe, dull or sharp, and in a precise location or referred (Mosby s Dictionary of Medicine, Nursing Health Professions, 2006). Through understanding this concept, nurses can initiate interventions that will ease the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Andrew Luth What Is Orthodox Theology Analysis Andrew Louth in his article What is theology? , warns that there is a danger of setting theology down alongside all other academic studies and assuming that theologia is one of them. The difference being the very purpose of the study. Yet within this specific discipline, namely theology, it entails a dimension beyond the disciplines of all other human learning, that academes must bear witness to. To consider theology as simply the study of God in scholastic terms, will almost 1 inevitably lead into all sorts of possible misuse of a theologian s apparent theophany. These knowings about God cannot be presented without making clear that at its heart there is an engagement, ultimately an engagement with God. When theology becomes a purely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If we seek to understand it, we will only understand in part. But there is something to understand nonetheless, and such understanding is what we might well call theology.21 In the Orthodox Church and tradition, theology has a very different meaning from the one we give it today. It is a gift from God, a fruit of the purity of the Christian s spiritual life. Theology is identified with the vision of God, with the immediate vision of the personal God, with the personal experience of the transfiguration of creation by uncreated grace. Theology is not a theory of the world, a metaphysical system ... not an intellectual discipline but an experiential participation, a communion. 22 Revelation is also preserved in the church. The church today is a great, living storehouse of the knowledge of God. From within the church revelation can sprout an inner revelation. In the church the fullness of her understanding is given through doctrine, but, the knowledge of this world is always only partial, awaiting the fullest revelation in the Parousia. My city council is considering a curfew that would make it illegal for teenagers to be out on the streets after 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and after midnight on weekends. I disagree with this consideration because teenagers may have to work late, they could be in danger, or there could be an emergency. • 14. Identity In Sandra Cisneros s The House On Mango Street The House On Mango Street Though Sandra Cisneros The House on Mango Street brings up several aspects of young Esperanza s internal conflict, her discovering what comprises her identity is the most prominent point throughout the story. While the reader watches a young girl grow up, they also watch her question all of her observations that shape her perception of herself. As she deals with life s harsh reality in her low income neighborhood, the hardships she faces make her question who she really is, and what defines her. One of the reasons that it can be complicated for Esperanza to find out who she is, is that gender roles are being forced upon her future constantly. From her own family, to her friends abusive fathers, she is shown that her culture ...[doesn t] like their women strong (Cisneros 10). In the Vignette titled My Name , Esperanza explains the struggles that she has with the personal meaning she has put behind it. She explains how her grandma was like her, a wild horse of a woman (Cisneros 11) and that she was forced into a sad married life. This causes confusion with her identity, because she doesn t want to inherit her [grandmother s lonely] place by the window. (Cisneros 11) However, she does want to be her own, strong self. Esperanza learning how this influences her identity as the book continues will teach her to ignore gender roles and pay attention to what she feels is most important to her. Another way that Esperanza has trouble with her identity is the fact that she ascotiates living on Mango Street directly with who she is. Throughout the book, she struggles with her house not being a home to her, and that it isn t the place she thought it would be. When she says that she needs a house she can point to. But this isn t it. (Cisneros 5) in the first vignette House on Mango Street , you can feel her embarrasment in the where she lives. Esperanza is the type of person who feels as if certain items reflect who you are. This deal was a series of reforms that were meant to increase available jobs, better the working conditions, and put money back into the economy. Jobs offered during this time, as well as the relief, recovery, and reform efforts gave a kick start to the American economy, helping to pull us out of the Great Depression. Some examples of these efforts can be seen in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the National Recovery Administration (NRA), and the Social Security Act (SSA). • 16. Hildegard Von Bingen Vision In the 2009 film, Vision: The Life of Hildegard von Bingen, the writer/director Margarethe von Trotta puts focus on Hildegard s journey to serve the Lord as best she can, in a time where the church is run by powerful men, and where the Roman Catholic Church is focused on centralizing the church and government though the first crusades. Hildegard (Barbara Sukowa) changes the history of the church by transcribing her visions into text and by breaking away from her cloister to start her own monasteries. As a visionary, she sees God through a different lens and thinks of him not to be feared, but to be celebrated. She believes his gifts will heal and guide, so long as one s heart is pure and humble. Margarethe von Trotta does a great job of showing the audience that Hildegard s view of God is not the same as the masses, some of which viewed God as a punisher that should be feared. As the film opened, the audience was exposed to the apocalyptic thinking of members of the church. The first scene of the movie shows a gathering of people in a place of worship, waiting out the end of the world. This congregation is surprised to wake up to another day. This was a common theme in earlier Christianity, and a view that later in the movie, we realize Hildegard von Bingen didn t share. A similar scene in terms of how one viewed God, was that of self flagellation early on in the movie. With the self harming of one s body for sacrifice to God, to suffer as Jesus did, it gives the ... A few hours earlier, the Republican nominee had been in Mexico City, where he had held a joint press conference with the Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto, and lauded Mexican Americans as amazing people . . . just beyond reproach. In Phoenix, flanked by American flags, he struck a different tone. Trump warned the crowd that if Clinton were elected, America would be inundated by a new wave of illegal immigration that would result in thousands of more violent, horrible crimes, and total chaos and lawlessness. Again and again in his Presidential campaign, Trump has issued sweeping assertions about how immigrants are bringing crime to America. Wednesday offered only the latest, and loudest, example. Examining these claims is instructive, not for what they tell us about Trump but for what they reveal about immigrants, whose relationship to crime is greatly misunderstood. If you live in a city that has become less dangerous in recent decades, a growing body of evidence suggests that you actually have immigrants to thank. When Trump kicked off his campaign, last year, he accused Mexico of sending rapists and criminals to America. This was a patently outrageous claim, and there was no evidence behind it. He began his researches of the human mind in 1881, while America and Europe reformed insane asylums and became more fascinated with unnatural psychological states. He first studied nervous diseases examining fish and simultaneously attaining his degree at the University of Vienna, and in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Freud explored the human psyche far more than other neurologists during his time, which earned him the title of the founding father of psychoanalysis. Eventually he explored conflicts from a person s adolescence and how they had an astounding effect on adulthood and created what became known to be his Psychosexual Stages of Development. Freud s psychosexual stages of development is a concept derived from the belief that any problems that occurred through adulthood were the primary result of experiences in early childhood matriculation. He gathered that the human species went through five stages of psychosexual development, and that during each stage of this development, experienced a sense of euphoria in a particular body part more than others. The areas of our bodies that felt this sensation were known as erogenous zones, which were specific parts of the human anatomy such as the mouth, the anus, and the genitals, that contained vigorous pleasure emitting qualities at specific stages of development in accordance with personality development focused on the ... In his book, while the lector read about the American culture and the current situation in the modern society, arise the necessity of thinking over the loss of cultural values and social roots transmitted from ancestors, and those that all human beings have adopted over their existence. Through time, people have followed gods, ideas, or things that embody perfection and a model of what they should be. Humans had worshiped them as a result of a voluntary surrender or the social pressure. However, at the same time and increasingly more frequent their minds had been captivated and they have given time and efforts into activities and desires which have become the current ideals. They have come into their lives unnoticed, but with such force to the point that they dominate their existence without being aware of them. • 23. Comparing Soccer and Water Polo Essay examples The history of sports dates back before the discovery of America or even the birth of Jesus Christ. Sports have been in a constant evolution ever since their introduction to the world, such as Tsu Chu to soccer or polo to water polo. Although soccer and water polo are popular in America today many athletes have come to love these two unique sports. Both sports are physically exhausting, demanding all an athlete has to offer to the game. They test the limit of the body and push it into the next level of competition. To a new comer these two vicious sports seem drastically different, but when it comes to the basics no two sports could be more alike. Soccer is a sport widely known and loved throughout Europe, but little in the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just like soccer, water polo is extremely popular within Europe, but in the States the demand for the sport is not as high. It is played in a pool that is twenty five meters long. Water polo unlike soccer restricts a player to the use of one their hands at a time. The player must tread water, while being able to catch and throw the ball with one hand, along with a defender trying to pull him or her under water. The pool consists of two goals, and two teams of seven trying to put the polo ball in the opponents net. Just like a soccer player would use his or her foot work to get around a defender, the polo player uses moves to break free from the defender and advance down the pool. Teams will wear matching uniforms, but since they are in water they wear head caps with their number and team color on it, so they can differentiate the players. Players must survive four quarters of seven minutes, while only being allowed thirty five seconds to have possession of the ball. But once that time has expired the ball is handed to the other team. When it comes to rules, referees are very picky and allow very little foul play. One common ground for both sports would be the use of a ball about the same size. Along with the flow of the game, since players are constantly on the move to either defend the ball, score, or get the ball away from their opponent. Soccer and water polo are both in need for the speed of a quick and smart player who is willing to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. Vince Lombardi s Perceptions Of Competitiveness In Human... What is competition? According to a modern social scientist, Competition is one of the most basic functions of nature. Those best able to compete within an environmental niche survive. Those least well adapted die out ( Humans are Competitive Beings ). Henry Russell Sanders, UCLA Bruins football coach, is credited with the phrase, Winning isn t everything, it s the only thing. In comparison, Vince Lombardi is quoted as having said, Winning isn t everything, but the desire to win is. Although the different meanings of these quotes exemplify the varying interpretations of competitiveness in human nature, Lombardi s values of winning better displays a healthy view of competition because it is more fundamentally realistic. Lombardi s idea involving competition also reflects a society in good health, even though society may be obsessed with always coming out on top. This emphasis on winning can cause a variety of consequences. It is depicted in Lombardi s quote that one s desire to achieve greatness, participation, and overall effort is more significant regardless of the outcome. This promotes a healthier perspective on competition by supporting the idea that winning isn t guaranteed all the time and encourages a positive attitude toward failure as a lesson maker. John Wooden, a UCLA basketball coach, believed losing was just as important as winning. Winning ten NCAA championships in his coaching career, Wooden advocated constant improvement and pride in performance, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. The Cricket Match Essay The Cricket Match Samuel Selvon s short story, The Cricket Match explores the subtle racial tensions amongst West Indian immigrants living in England whilst working with English counterparts. Selvon sets his narrative in a tyre factory in Chiswick, England. Most likely, the timeline in which this story occurs is somewhere in the mid 1950 s when England were still colonists of most of the English speaking Caribbean islands. The main idea behind Selvon s tale lies with Algernon the protagonist, whose desire to fabricate his knowledge of cricket, so as to simultaneously impress but show disdain towards the Englishmen around him backfires because it is this self proclaimed knowledge which places him into conflict. Selvon also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Selvon ingeniously crafts the resolution, though with slight absurdity, through a somewhat amusing and likable manner very similar to that of a picaresque novel. Algernon manages to compose an unenthusiastic team to play against the English team. Still, even more amusingly, the English players are equally afraid of Algernon s team and vice versa. The match commences with the West Indian eleven batting first, and displaying a commendable though fortuitous performance. Conversely, and perhaps conveniently though, rain begins to fall, hence bringing the match to an abrupt end. This resolution allows Algernon to save his credibility and further taunt his English co workers: If my bat didn t fly out my hand ... as if to say he would have lost the ball in the other county. and: ... next cricket season I will get a sharp eleven together... now if you want me to show you how I make that stroke... This conclusion which Selvon employs gives Algernon a fairly roguish characteristic, and thus the picaresque similarity. Selvon s plot structure is basically simple and straightforward. The narrator introduces the story and highlights the major flaw of the protagonist, which then manifests itself as a central part of the conflict. While the rising action begins to escalate, minor episodes relating to the conflict begin to surface, thereby enhancing the dramatic effect of the climax. The plot s falling action is ... • 26. Adult Learning Is The Acquisition Of Knowledge By Adults Webster University HRDV 5610 Midterm Paper Muzhda Rasool 05 01 2016 Adult learning is the acquisition of knowledge by adults. Theories on adult learning have been discoursed and analyzed thoroughly by different people, with the aim of trying to define it and optimize it. The two articles I have read describe adult learning, discuss its characteristics and explain various approaches and means of optimization of this subject. Abstract 1 Basically, this article by Malcolm Knowles is a conglomerate of all aspects of adult learning. It outlines aspects of adult learning, theories of adult learning, and expands on them. The main idea of this article is to create awareness on the existence of adult learning, and to help instructors of adult learning to know how to go about it successfully. Additionally, the article is of help to adult learners to enable them to learn the most they can (Knowles, 2007). Matters concerning adult learning in the article are: Active Learning This involves a learning process that engages the learners. Attention is moved from the teacher to the learners through practices such as role playing, group work and problem based approaches, for instance. These activities put the learners in a situation where it is up to them to use available learning resources to solve problems, hence causing active learning. Adult Learning Concepts These are principles that enhance and promote quality and successful adult learning. These concepts include: ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to the widely held public opinion, near Roswell, New Mexico, in July 1947 the United States government recovered a crashed UFO and its extraterrestrial occupants. This was referred to as the Roswell Incident and the U.S. military had covered the issue up quickly. The original story in the eyes of non UFO buffs for this conspiracy is that on the fourth of July weekend 1947 a rancher William Brazel reported to the sheriff that he recover the remains of one of them flying saucers the military was then contacted and Major Jesse Marcel was assigned to investigate the site. On the 8th of July 1947 after Marcel and 2 Counter Intelligence Corps agents examined and collected the wreckage there was an announcement to the public that they recovered the remains of a flying disc . • 30. New Zealand s Constitutional Rules And Arrangements Essay Firstly, the focus is on the fundamentals of New Zealand s constitutional rules and arrangements. A constitution describes and establishes the major institutions of the government and endeavors to regulate the power that they hold. The main constitutional institutions in New Zealand that are subject to the constitution are the executive, the legislature, the judiciary and the Sovereign. The main features of New Zealand s constitution is that it is a monarchy, it is a parliamentary system of government, and it is a democracy. New Zealand s constitution is identified as an unwritten constitution because the key constitutional rules and arrangements aren t written in one document. The rules and arrangements that make up New Zealand s constitution can be found in legislation including, the Bill of Right 1688, the Electoral Act 1993, Constitution Act 1986, the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990, the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975, the Judicature Act 1908, in the Cabinet Manual, judgments of the courts, the Treaty of Waitangi, and in broader constitutional principles, doctrines, and conventions. Paine argued a constitution must possess four key features; it must be a document, it is antecedent to government, it must be comprehensive, and it must have the status of fundamental law. Whereas Morgan noted that a constitution, whether it is written or unwritten, can only be authoritative if there is a broadly shared consensus around its authority and legitimacy. Catalase has the presence of an enzyme in the test isolated detected using hydrogen peroxide. Bacteria possess catalase with a small number of bacteria; isolation is added to hydrogen peroxide when bubbles occur. When the bubbles occurred on gram positive bacterium it was a conformation of being positive. Also, blood agar plates is useful for cultivating fastidious organisms and for determining the hemolytic capabilities of an organism. There are three types of hemolysis, such as, beta hemolysis, alpha hemolysis, and y hemolysis. Beta hemolysis breaks down the red blood cells and hemoglobin completely. ... It also played a key role in history molecular genetics. It has shown the significant increase in antibiotic resistance because it is due to its use of natural transformation system used for genetic exchange and can develop resistance to antibiotics through mutation and natural selection.
