The chemical used is called Namagon, which can kill microscopic worms on the roots of banana
plants without damaging the plants. This pesticides is really bad for human, it can causes birth defects,

For Barry Estabrook s piece, Politics of the Plate: The Price of Tomatoes. Mariano Lucas Domingo s
life in Cesar Navarret s field is very difficult. Before Lucas decided to move to the United States, he
expect he can earned at least $200 a week and his family can live a moderate life. After Lucas arrived
at the field, his room turned out to be the back of a box truck in the junk strewn yard, shared with two
or three other workers (Estabrook, 362). There was no hot water for shower and there are fees for
everything Lucas used in the field, this will deducted from his salary. Lucas worked at least 10 hours
per day, seven days a week because taking a day off was not an option in the field (Estabrook, 362).
After all the hard work, Lucas can t even afford to feed himself because for every 32 pound basket you

Dream Sequences
Genre fiction or mainstream, any story or novel may require dream sequences. Dreams can show
character traits vividly, foreshadow events in the story, and add color within the narrative. Within any
story with psychic or supernatural content, dreams may even be shared. Lucid dreaming may allow a
character to make fantastic discoveries. Yet powerfully written dream sequences are rare, and many
otherwise brilliant writers slip into clichés and stylized, unmemorable or implausible passages.
What makes dream states so difficult to depict?
Surrealist painter Salvador Dali frequently explained that his bizarre juxtapositions and distorted, yet
realistic, imagery was drawn from dreams. Melted clocks, twisted leafless trees on barren landscapes,

Summary Of The LA Riots
As a result of a detestable court decision and the visceral televised imagery of the beaten Rodney
King, police brutality became recognized as a ceaseless injustice oppressing black communities. These
events managed to spur a conversation most relevant today but one that many continue to disregard.
The LA Riots of 1992 still stands as one of if not the most critical event that tapped into the way we
view systematic racism by sparking deep rooted dialogue about the intermingling of race, economics
and injustice in America for African Americans. When looking back at the riots 25 years later, society
has often received the needless white perspective and the necessary African American voice.
However, many forget how many Korean Americans were affected by these events. At the time, black
and Korean communities were at odds with one another without understanding each other s shared
struggles as a result of the gradual segregation between wealthy white communities and impoverished
minority enclaves. With the winner of the 2017 Sundance audience NEXT Award Gook, director,
writer and actor Justin Chon remembers the 1992 LA Riots with the rare Korean American
perspective, one that reveals itself as a poignant picture of race and friendship.
Chon s sophomore feature opens with striking juxtaposition a dream like snapshot of an 11 year old
African American girl named Kamila dancing in front of a storefront consumed in flames. It is clear
from the initial sequence that Chon is

Wal Mart VS Target
Battle of the Retailers
Over the last 15 years, Wal Mart has become a retail giant, changing forever the retail landscape in the
US. Wal Mart is a national leader in virtually every retail category in which they compete. However, at
about the same time, Target has emerged as a major competitor and with an almost equal presence in
the American Market.
Before I start talking about both in more details, and on how they utilize the retail marketing mix in
either their benefit or loss, let s take a look at the result of my survey.
The survey has been given to a hundred subject all over the world who has either lived or travelled to
the States, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The majority of my participants stated that the bigger the shop the less crowded it is and that makes
shopping more enjoyable, that they enjoy big shops with big warehouses so they always find what
they want and that the most important thing in a major store is their parking situation. Also the
majority answered Target to has the higher probability of running out of stocks.
Third was the Products. Wal Mart sells what the people need at an affordable price which brings in
more customers. It sells various name brand items in toys, hygiene, food, electronics and clothing,
with every product from every brand varying in design and specifications. Target focuses on home
products and apparel. Although, Wal Mart pretty much contains everything that Target retailers have
but they have them at better price and availability, Target does seem to have better quality items at a
slightly higher cost. Going back to my survey most of my participants agreed that Wal Mart s price is
definitely lower than Targets. The majority chose Wal Mart as having more brands under one roof,
bigger portfolio of products, more range in sizes and colors in clothing, again more stocks and the
most likely store to visit if they have no specific shopping list, just wanting a general shopping
experience.
Fourth was Advertising. And in a more general theme I was studying the perception of customers
towards Wal Mart and Target as brands. While Wal Mart

The Major Psychological Disorders Covered
This final paper looks at summarizing one of the major psychological disorders covered in the course
this semester Thought disorder. It s most commonly manifest in language (e.g. speech or writing) that
is difficult to make sense of, Some people think that thought disorder is a specific problem of
language and others think that it is a more general problem in semantics (meaning) that also leads to
problems in making sense of non verbal events around us. Thought disorders are conditions that affect
the way a person thinks, creating a disturbance in the way a person puts together a logical sequence of
ideas. It is commonly recognized by incoherent or disordered thinking, for example anyone suffering

induced psychosis, Organic psychosis, Bipolar disorder, Schizoaffective disorder, Psychotic

Sandra Cisneros s “Never Marry a Mexican”
Sandra Cisneros s short story Never Marry a Mexican deals heavily with the concept of myth in
literature, more specifically the myth La Malinche, which focuses on women, and how their lives are
spun in the shadows on men (Fitts). Myths help power some of the beliefs of entire cultures or
civilizations. She gives the reader the mind of a Mexican American woman who seems traitorous to
her friends, family and people she is close to. This causes destruction in her path in the form of love,
power, heartbreak, hatred, and an intent to do harm to another, which are themes of myth in literature.
The unreliable narrator of this story was created in this story with the purpose to show her confusion
and what coming from two completely different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This did not appeal to Cisneros, and these ideas helped her become a very influential writer. To begin,
the protagonist Clemencia is like a chameleon, who can blend into any social event and with any class
of wealth when she says I m amphibious. I m a person who doesn t belong to any class. The rich like
to have me around because they envy my creativity; they know they can t buy that. The poor don t
mind if I live in their neighborhood because they know I m poor like they are, even if my education
and the way I dress keeps us worlds apart (Cisneros 71,72). Clemencia is a woman who knows how to
talk and have a good time. By nature she is a very creative being who loves to impress by wearing the
best clothes, and show off to anyone to make herself seem better than others. (Cisneros 71).
Clemencia is poor and does not have much being that she works for the school system as a translator,
and other various positions. But acts rich and very wealthy to all of her friends (Cisneros 72). This
connects with the myth of La Malinche, of how the character is a bad woman who sleeps with lots of
men. Furthermore, the ability to blend in is a power the author gives the protagonist to be a temptress
to men to get them to have an affair with her, or something that is not serious, because of her fear of
commitment. Early on in Clemencia s life, her mother told her

Steroids In Baseball Essay
Steroids have taken over the game of baseball and more players are starting to get involved with them.
Steroids are a big part of the Major League today in 2014, yet they entered the game of baseball
through trainer Curtis Wenzlaff in 1992. Players and the game s images are ravaged when they
become caught up in steroids. Some of the best players to ever play the game of baseball have been
caught up in steroids, including Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, and Mark McGwire. Players with this
level of skill are supposed to be role models for younger kids, yet younger kids see that they used
steroids and are tempted to use them. When their young, impressionable minds witness steroids use,
naturally kids attempt to imitate their idols. More ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, steroids can cause men s testicals to shrink (Mitchell 55). Baseball players who use steroids are
so mentally focused on the positive effects of steroids that they forget to think about the negative
effects on mental health, the liver, the cardiovascular system, and the reproductive system. The main
type of steroids causing all this chaos to the body are called Anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are
used the most often in Major League Baseball (MLB). The reasons why MLB players get caught up in
Anabolic steroids is because they have so much pressure on them to hit home runs, get on base, and
entertain. To help them cope with their pressure, they turn to Anabolic steroids because of the fast
gains and positive impacts players experience after treatment. This is a positive for baseball fans, who
have seen an increase in home runs hit; for example, in just a five year span between 1961 and 1996,
there was an increase of nine players who hit at least forty home runs in just one season. Anabolic
steroids also make one s hands faster and they increase muscle in areas like the pectorals and
forearms. When players are going through a slump and they hear about all of these benefits of
Anabolic steroids, they are tempted by this easy fix. Despite all of these positives, negatives also come
with steroid use. Anabolic steroids can be taken two different ways by injection, which

Disney Misogyny
In Disney films, there is a lot of misogyny amongst female main characters. Many people in our
society have noticed a significant difference in the speaking roles between male and female characters
that Disney created, as men had way more lines than the women. Because these movies were mostly
created in the mid late 1900 s, this was the time that there was plenty of prejudice against females.
Now, in the year 2017, females are getting a little more equality than before to the point where many
females now have jobs that were only for males in the 1900 s. Most Disney movies for that matter
involve some sort of misogyny, even the ones that recently came out such as Brave and Frozen .
Examples of various levels of misogyny can be noticed in Disney films such as Ariel in The Little
Mermaid (1989), directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The movie is about a 16 year old
mermaid who wants to live on land with a human Prince named Eric but is only able to after making a
dangerous wish with Ursula the Sea Witch to be a human for three days. In this movie Ariel The
Mermaid , prejudice can be seen in Ursula, by a female having too much authority, Ariel cannot speak,
and Ariel uses her appearance to attract others.
Firstly, Ursula the Sea Witch can be seen with a ton of power. The power turns Ursula evil and
manipulative, which shows that females that have too much power should be removed from society,
just like Ursula. ...And now, look at me wasted away to practically

Biography on Tupac Shakur Essay
Biography on Tupac Shakur In much the same fashion that Kurt Cobain defined the alternative rock
music scene, Tupac Shakur defined the hip hop scene as we know it today. What made Tupac (also
known as 2pac) so special was his enormous talent, his on screen friendly looks, and the sense that he
was real and talked the talk, while walking the walk. Since his death, there s been a deluge of
speculation on who and why, and even if, but unfortunately still no concrete answers exist for any of
these questions. Born June 16, 1971, Tupac Amaru Shakur, who was named after Tupac Amaru, the

sexual abuse against a 19 year old woman in a New York City luxury hotel. Shakur s legal troubles

Having A Two-Handed Play Educating Rita

Educating Rita , is a two handed play which only has two characters and one set. Educating Rita was
written in 1985 by Willy Russell, it looks at how the relationship between two people, Rita and Frank,
develops as the play goes on. Educating Rita is the story of Rita, a hairdresser who decides to go to
University in order to discover who she really is. When she arrives at University she meets Frank, a

That particular scene emphasised how their relationship was progressing and would not have been
highlighted as much if there were more characters in the play. Another benefit of having a two handed
play is, as an audience we can concentrate particularly on just the two main characters, even though
we are told of others. As a result, we aren t distracted by insignificant characters or minor concerns,
this would only confuse the audience about what is going on in the play. There are many characters
that are mentioned in the play by Frank and Rita that we don t hear any dialogue from. For example,
we hear about Denny, Rita s husband, about Julia, Frank s partner, and about Trish, Rita s flatmate,
who attempts to kill herself. The financial and logistical implications are also a benefit for Educating
Rita being a two handed play because, as there is only one set used in the whole play, therefore, the
play is cheaper to stage as they don t have to pay for another set to be built or rented. Also more
money is saved from the play s budget as the director only has to pay the wages of two characters.
More benefits of Educating Rita being a two handed play are that minor characters or concerns in the
play do not distract the audience, therefore they can focus all their

Zebra Mussels In The Environment Essay
Zebra mussels have the potential to cause a decline in ecosystem goods, and the benefits that
reservoirs provide. Irrigation reservoirs artificially change the environment. This would cause larger
amounts of distress in the community if the reservoirs did not provide benefits such as recreation,
including fishing, as well as provide wildlife habitat (Adams Lee, 2010). Zebra mussels can render
these reservoirs unusable for recreation because their sharp shells can cut the feet of users. Zebra
mussels also clear the water due to their filter feeders, which can result in a decrease or change in fish
populations, as well outcompete native mussel species. This clearing of the water can also result in
algal blooms (Vanderploeg, et al., 2001). It would not be beneficial to irrigate land with water that has

However, the threat of zebra mussels is real and should not be taken lightly. The Alberta irrigation

Irrigation in Alberta, 2015). The danger to agriculture and irrigation is very significant because this

monetary and time cost would be very high to manage the problem for the province, Irrigation

they could be brought into the province. Fortunately, Alberta has a management plan to prevent zebra

Simon As A Christ Figure Analysis
The Christ Figure
A Christ figure could be interpreted as an individual that is a manifestation or delegation of Jesus
Christ. It is apparent to distinguish a Christ like human from someone of common characteristics by
their alluring behavior. For instance, one could define this feature using appearance, personality, and
attitude. The Lord of the Flies is a novel that opens up with a plane departing a group of schoolboys
from Britain that had been shot down over a desolate island. Britain had been in the depths of a war
and these school kids go to extreme in means of survival. Initially, the boys relished the idea of not
having any adults with them until they had realized they could not possibly live without them for long.
Simon, one of the schoolboys on the island, was introduced as a spiritual, kind hearted
kid.Acknowledging he possess these components, Simon appears detached from the rest of the boys.
This essay will demonstrate how the novel portrays Simon as a Christ Figure by the way he performs
on the island, such as his seclusion and peaceful nature, his appearance, his actions towards the boys,
and his death.

extended amount of time. Simon paused. He looked over his shoulder as Jack had done at the close
ways behind him and glanced swiftly round to confirm

Overcoming The Challenges Of Corraditional Family And...
Nontraditional families have become more and more common today, these include stepfamily and
blended family systems, single parent families, and same sex couples. It is hard enough to cope with
the challenges however, when you add the military culture it can become even tougher to deal and
overcome these challenges. We will explore the nontraditional family and some of their challenges.
Stepfamilies
Divorced spouses subsystem can impact the entire family in a positive or negative manner. For the
positive effects, we can see that these couples that tend to support each other are able to really act as
civilized adults and move on. This is generally because of the commitment to the child(ren), by years
of common history and/or friends, or genuine concern for each other (Hall, 2016, p.123) . When the
positive effects occur, one can see healthy relationships built with each other, the child(ren), and the
new partner as well. This allows for the child(ren) to get the proper discipline and guidance that is
very much needed in children today. On the flip side of this the negative effects can be caused by
revenge, distrust, or anger (Hall, 2016, p.123) . This can cause tension among the ex couple, family,
friends, child(ren), or even the new relationship. This makes it very difficult for the child(ren)
involved to adjust to their new found lifestyle. Another challenge here is when the military member
lives some distance from the child(ren) home; if the member lives

Earnest Social Structure
Oscar Wilde demonstrated the complex social structure of the Victorian era of society through comedy
and satire in his play, The Importance of Being Earnest . Despite the play s title, neither male leading
characters, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff are entirely earnest. In order to secure their
engagements and protect their social standings, both create long exaggerated stories and lie about their
true identities. Wilde continues to display the faults of the Victorian upper class through characters,
Cecily Cardew and Miss Prism. Both women prove to be hopeless romantics with unrealistic
perspectives on fantasy versus reality. Based off of Prisms novel and her obvious desire to become a
romantic novelist, and Cecily s delusional writings in her diaries, Wilde is trying to convey that
essentially anyone in Victorian society may be considered a writer. When Wilde first introduces
Cecily, it becomes apparent to readers that she is bored with her current lifestyle. She shows little
interest in her lessons and a strong passion for writing in her diary. Unlike Gwendolyn, Cecily s family
background and lifestyle are significantly different than her traditional upper class London setting.
Cecily s life takes place in the much less sophisticated countryside of England with only her guardian
who she refers to as Uncle Jack and her tutor Miss Prism, who acts as a sort of motherly figure.
Because Cecily is not a product of upper class London society, and she desires more out of

‘Swan Lake was created towards the end of the romantic period, so the culture and style of
romanticism was prominent, with glimpses of the beginning of the classical era. Because of this, it
contains elements of both eras. Some of the romantic characteristics include the pursuit of the
unattainable, romance, fantasy, focus on the female role, gas lighting and simple sets, pointe work,

Prince Siegfried has to choose between keeping his word and his love for Odette, and as a result he
takes Odette and they jump into the lake and drown, the other swans also drive Odile and von
Rothbart into the lake, and are left to their deserved fate. Some of the themes of a romantic ballet are
shown in the plot of ‘Swan Lake , along with a few from the classical Ballets. A theme of romance
between Odette and Prince Seigfried, is evident with their oath of undying love for each other.
Romance was very important in a classical ballet, as the romantic era affected peoples emotions, and
Although the plots may be fictional, the themes were always real and universal Also the pursuit of the
unattainable is also evident, with prince Siegfried not wanting any of the princesses available, but
instead wanting to be with someone living a cursed life. For the working class in Russia, the ballet
was an escape, and seeing someone pursue for something they want was a source of motivation for the
audience. Also themes of the supernatural are shown, with the sorcerer, von Rothbart, enchanting
beautiful maidens. The supernatural themes helped the audience mentally escape from real life, so was
popular for the working class.
‘Swan Lake is a four act ballet, which is a common element amongst the classical era of ballets.
During the romantic era they were usually only two acts, where as they were up

The implementation of physical redundancy will be described and an overview provided in chapter 1.
However, the underlying control structure and loop prevention system STP will not be discussed in
detail until chapter 5. At this point in your design you only need to realize that it is important to the
design. Details of its implementation and configuration will be added to your design later in the

Why Hunting Should Be Made Illegal
Hunting has always been a fundamental aspect of life throughout human s history. Thus, it s widely
accepted that hunting animals for food and other similar purposes is normal. However, there has been
lots of debate involving the legality of hunting animals for trophies. This essay argues that trophy
hunting should be made illegal. It will show two major reasons supporting this main conclusion,
involving the negative impacts of trophies hunting on the biological diversity and evolution. It will
then examine one main objection relating to the benefits of the activity for animal conservation, but
will rebut this objection.
The first reason to consider why trophies hunting should be made illegal is that trophies can lead to
the extinctions of numerous species, and these mass extinctions are believed to affect the biological
diversity tremendously. There are two ways trophy hunting can lead to rapid extinctions of various
animals. Firstly, trophy hunters tend to hunt endangered species, which are already at risk of
extinction according to their definition. This is due to hunting valuable targets may reward trophy lots
of money, and recent studies have shown that endangered species are often seen as high value targets
no matter the cause of their rarity (Palazy et al. 2011). For instance, one single bighorn sheep was sold
for at least 400,000 US dollars during a private auction (Palazy et al. 2011). Secondly, trophy hunting
can mess up the population structures of several species

Compare And Differences Of Ancient Greece And The Roman...
Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire two civilizations that have so much in common but are yet so
vastly different. Both civilizations have seen their fair share of their empires rise and fall. Greece and
Roman today are both tourist places that we visit for the history they provide from hundreds of years
ago. Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire both seem to be founded and perspired due to some type
of water system helping them. Ancient Greece used the Mediterranean Seas new channels for trade.
Also, Greece used ships to help conquer nearby islands, which in return made them very vulnerable to
ground invasions. The Roman Empire was founded on the Tiber River for a trade post. Around 509 44
BCE Romans conquered and seemed to dominate the entire Mediterranean Sea basin. Both
civilizations found that the seas can help them conquer and control other civilizations. (Acrobatiq,
2017) Ancient Greece used a writing system call Linear B, which is short of similar to Linear A.
Linear B used syllabic signs, (composed of logograms, a base 10 number system, and short vertical
lines to separate words), to communicate messages a total of 87 in all. Originally this writing format
was thought to be influenced by the Minoans. Then a British linguist and cryptologist found that the
language was Indo European based, not Minoan who used the Linear A system instead. Ancient

Chicago School Of Social Ecology Theory
Chicago School of Social Ecology has played its vital role in the development of urban ecology theory
as the sociologists and ecologists from aforementioned school such as Robert Park and Earnest
Burgess propagated that Central Business District (CBD) impacts urban and downtown planning,
urban renewal, urban expansions, housing projects, commercial activities, industrialization,
community development and urban ecological system. Next, the Berlin School of Urban Ecology also
extended the aforementioned theoretical argument when the theorist Herbert Sukopp elaborated on
studying the importance of biodiversity patterns, environmental transformations and natural changes
in the global ecological system, processes and structures. Therefore, the theorists, academicians,
researchers, sociologists and environmentalists argue that the theory of urban ecology broadly
incorporates the facets of other crucial disciplines related to education, health, economy, psychology,
social sciences, sociology, anthropology, history, environment, biosciences, economy, politics,
international relations, geography, urban architecture and technology. One of the major developments
pertaining to urban ecology theory is the comprehensiveness of modern urban system by incorporating

  • 3. Dream Sequences Genre fiction or mainstream, any story or novel may require dream sequences. Dreams can show character traits vividly, foreshadow events in the story, and add color within the narrative. Within any story with psychic or supernatural content, dreams may even be shared. Lucid dreaming may allow a character to make fantastic discoveries. Yet powerfully written dream sequences are rare, and many otherwise brilliant writers slip into clichés and stylized, unmemorable or implausible passages. • 4. Summary Of The LA Riots As a result of a detestable court decision and the visceral televised imagery of the beaten Rodney King, police brutality became recognized as a ceaseless injustice oppressing black communities. These events managed to spur a conversation most relevant today but one that many continue to disregard. The LA Riots of 1992 still stands as one of if not the most critical event that tapped into the way we view systematic racism by sparking deep rooted dialogue about the intermingling of race, economics and injustice in America for African Americans. When looking back at the riots 25 years later, society has often received the needless white perspective and the necessary African American voice. However, many forget how many Korean Americans were affected by these events. At the time, black and Korean communities were at odds with one another without understanding each other s shared struggles as a result of the gradual segregation between wealthy white communities and impoverished minority enclaves. With the winner of the 2017 Sundance audience NEXT Award Gook, director, writer and actor Justin Chon remembers the 1992 LA Riots with the rare Korean American perspective, one that reveals itself as a poignant picture of race and friendship. Chon s sophomore feature opens with striking juxtaposition a dream like snapshot of an 11 year old African American girl named Kamila dancing in front of a storefront consumed in flames. It is clear from the initial sequence that Chon is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Target vs Wal Mart Name: Mariam Wagdy Yousef ID : 006001519 Course : Retail Marketing Wal Mart VS Target Battle of the Retailers Over the last 15 years, Wal Mart has become a retail giant, changing forever the retail landscape in the US. Wal Mart is a national leader in virtually every retail category in which they compete. However, at about the same time, Target has emerged as a major competitor and with an almost equal presence in the American Market. The majority of my participants stated that the bigger the shop the less crowded it is and that makes shopping more enjoyable, that they enjoy big shops with big warehouses so they always find what they want and that the most important thing in a major store is their parking situation. Also the majority answered Target to has the higher probability of running out of stocks. Third was the Products. Wal Mart sells what the people need at an affordable price which brings in more customers. It sells various name brand items in toys, hygiene, food, electronics and clothing, with every product from every brand varying in design and specifications. Target focuses on home products and apparel. Although, Wal Mart pretty much contains everything that Target retailers have but they have them at better price and availability, Target does seem to have better quality items at a slightly higher cost. Going back to my survey most of my participants agreed that Wal Mart s price is definitely lower than Targets. The majority chose Wal Mart as having more brands under one roof, bigger portfolio of products, more range in sizes and colors in clothing, again more stocks and the most likely store to visit if they have no specific shopping list, just wanting a general shopping experience. Fourth was Advertising. And in a more general theme I was studying the perception of customers towards Wal Mart and Target as brands. While Wal Mart ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Sandra Cisneros s “Never Marry a Mexican” Sandra Cisneros s short story Never Marry a Mexican deals heavily with the concept of myth in literature, more specifically the myth La Malinche, which focuses on women, and how their lives are spun in the shadows on men (Fitts). The poor don t mind if I live in their neighborhood because they know I m poor like they are, even if my education and the way I dress keeps us worlds apart (Cisneros 71,72). Clemencia is a woman who knows how to talk and have a good time. By nature she is a very creative being who loves to impress by wearing the best clothes, and show off to anyone to make herself seem better than others. (Cisneros 71). Clemencia is poor and does not have much being that she works for the school system as a translator, and other various positions. But acts rich and very wealthy to all of her friends (Cisneros 72). This connects with the myth of La Malinche, of how the character is a bad woman who sleeps with lots of men. Baseball players who use steroids are so mentally focused on the positive effects of steroids that they forget to think about the negative effects on mental health, the liver, the cardiovascular system, and the reproductive system. The main type of steroids causing all this chaos to the body are called Anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are used the most often in Major League Baseball (MLB). The reasons why MLB players get caught up in Anabolic steroids is because they have so much pressure on them to hit home runs, get on base, and entertain. To help them cope with their pressure, they turn to Anabolic steroids because of the fast gains and positive impacts players experience after treatment. This is a positive for baseball fans, who have seen an increase in home runs hit; for example, in just a five year span between 1961 and 1996, there was an increase of nine players who hit at least forty home runs in just one season. Anabolic steroids also make one s hands faster and they increase muscle in areas like the pectorals and forearms. When players are going through a slump and they hear about all of these benefits of Anabolic steroids, they are tempted by this easy fix. Despite all of these positives, negatives also come with steroid use. Anabolic steroids can be taken two different ways by injection, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Disney Misogyny In Disney films, there is a lot of misogyny amongst female main characters. Many people in our society have noticed a significant difference in the speaking roles between male and female characters that Disney created, as men had way more lines than the women. Because these movies were mostly created in the mid late 1900 s, this was the time that there was plenty of prejudice against females. Now, in the year 2017, females are getting a little more equality than before to the point where many females now have jobs that were only for males in the 1900 s. Most Disney movies for that matter involve some sort of misogyny, even the ones that recently came out such as Brave and Frozen . Examples of various levels of misogyny can be noticed in Disney films such as Ariel in The Little Mermaid (1989), directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The movie is about a 16 year old mermaid who wants to live on land with a human Prince named Eric but is only able to after making a dangerous wish with Ursula the Sea Witch to be a human for three days. In this movie Ariel The Mermaid , prejudice can be seen in Ursula, by a female having too much authority, Ariel cannot speak, and Ariel uses her appearance to attract others. Firstly, Ursula the Sea Witch can be seen with a ton of power. The power turns Ursula evil and manipulative, which shows that females that have too much power should be removed from society, just like Ursula. ...And now, look at me wasted away to practically ... Another benefit of having a two handed play is, as an audience we can concentrate particularly on just the two main characters, even though we are told of others. As a result, we aren t distracted by insignificant characters or minor concerns, this would only confuse the audience about what is going on in the play. For example, we hear about Denny, Rita s husband, about Julia, Frank s partner, and about Trish, Rita s flatmate, who attempts to kill herself. The financial and logistical implications are also a benefit for Educating Rita being a two handed play because, as there is only one set used in the whole play, therefore, the play is cheaper to stage as they don t have to pay for another set to be built or rented. Irrigation reservoirs artificially change the environment. This would cause larger amounts of distress in the community if the reservoirs did not provide benefits such as recreation, including fishing, as well as provide wildlife habitat (Adams Lee, 2010). Zebra mussels can render these reservoirs unusable for recreation because their sharp shells can cut the feet of users. Zebra mussels also clear the water due to their filter feeders, which can result in a decrease or change in fish populations, as well outcompete native mussel species. This clearing of the water can also result in algal blooms (Vanderploeg, et al., 2001). We will explore the nontraditional family and some of their challenges. Stepfamilies Divorced spouses subsystem can impact the entire family in a positive or negative manner. For the positive effects, we can see that these couples that tend to support each other are able to really act as civilized adults and move on. This allows for the child(ren) to get the proper discipline and guidance that is very much needed in children today. On the flip side of this the negative effects can be caused by revenge, distrust, or anger (Hall, 2016, p.123) . Despite the play s title, neither male leading characters, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff are entirely earnest. In order to secure their engagements and protect their social standings, both create long exaggerated stories and lie about their true identities. Wilde continues to display the faults of the Victorian upper class through characters, Cecily Cardew and Miss Prism. Both women prove to be hopeless romantics with unrealistic perspectives on fantasy versus reality. Based off of Prisms novel and her obvious desire to become a romantic novelist, and Cecily s delusional writings in her diaries, Wilde is trying to convey that essentially anyone in Victorian society may be considered a writer. When Wilde first introduces Cecily, it becomes apparent to readers that she is bored with her current lifestyle. She shows little interest in her lessons and a strong passion for writing in her diary. Unlike Gwendolyn, Cecily s family background and lifestyle are significantly different than her traditional upper class London setting. DeVry recognizes that the additional camera traffic, along with its management, will require a major upgrade to the network infrastructure. A phased project was created to enable NETW206 students to design and implement the network infrastructure within a single session. The four project phases are: 1. Phase 1 (Weeks 1 2): Design Network Switching Infrastructure 2. Phase 2 (Week 3): Standardize Network Configurations 3. Phase 3 (Week 5): Network Assessment 4. Phase ... In order to select the proper switches key characteristics on which you should focus are: Port Density Forwarding Rates Uplink Rates Ability to Support PoE (at the access layer) and Link Aggregation (all layers) When you see the term segmented you need to think VLANs and their corresponding IP address memberships. Be sure that you remember to use routers (or better yet, layer 3 switches) to interconnect the VLANs. The implementation of physical redundancy will be described and an overview provided in chapter 1. However, the underlying control structure and loop prevention system STP will not be discussed in detail until chapter 5. At this point in your design you only need to realize that it is important to the design. Details of its implementation and configuration will be added to your design later in the process. Use the links below, especially the link to datasheets for the cameras to discover the bandwidth requirements. Your report should include a list of equipment that you have determined will support the network requirements as well as a logical diagram showing how the devices are interconnected. Your diagrams can be created with Microsoft s Visio design package or a similar product. The following websites are available to assist in your research and design for this ... • 34. Why Hunting Should Be Made Illegal Hunting has always been a fundamental aspect of life throughout human s history. Thus, it s widely accepted that hunting animals for food and other similar purposes is normal. However, there has been lots of debate involving the legality of hunting animals for trophies. This essay argues that trophy hunting should be made illegal. It will show two major reasons supporting this main conclusion, involving the negative impacts of trophies hunting on the biological diversity and evolution. It will then examine one main objection relating to the benefits of the activity for animal conservation, but will rebut this objection. The first reason to consider why trophies hunting should be made illegal is that trophies can lead to the extinctions of numerous species, and these mass extinctions are believed to affect the biological diversity tremendously. There are two ways trophy hunting can lead to rapid extinctions of various animals. Firstly, trophy hunters tend to hunt endangered species, which are already at risk of extinction according to their definition. This is due to hunting valuable targets may reward trophy lots of money, and recent studies have shown that endangered species are often seen as high value targets no matter the cause of their rarity (Palazy et al. 2011). For instance, one single bighorn sheep was sold for at least 400,000 US dollars during a private auction (Palazy et al. 2011). Secondly, trophy hunting can mess up the population structures of several species ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Around 509 44 BCE Romans conquered and seemed to dominate the entire Mediterranean Sea basin. Both civilizations found that the seas can help them conquer and control other civilizations. (Acrobatiq, 2017) Ancient Greece used a writing system call Linear B, which is short of similar to Linear A. Linear B used syllabic signs, (composed of logograms, a base 10 number system, and short vertical lines to separate words), to communicate messages a total of 87 in all. Originally this writing format was thought to be influenced by the Minoans. Then a British linguist and cryptologist found that the language was Indo European based, not Minoan who used the Linear A system instead. Even if we somehow manage to survive, trading with white settlers will come to a halt, and they will most likely attack us again. On the other hand, if we choose to move to the reservation, we will face our old age rivals, the Klamaths, who with no doubt, will attempt to attack us.
