Florence Was The Birthplace Of The Italian Renaissance
The Italian Renaissance was a period in history unlike most others; this was an era of ingenuity,
expansion, and enlightenment that would revolutionize both society as the people of the Renaissance
knew it to be, and as the future generations of individuals across the globe understand it today.
Florence held itself out to be the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, yet the people of this
renaissance era never lost sight of the Greek and Roman heritage. The following essay will discuss the
varying ways in which Florence was the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, and will provide the
reader with examples that demonstrate Greco Roman ideas and practices in the Italian Renaissance.
One of the most obvious examples in which Greco Roman culture was displayed in the era of the
Italian Renaissance was through the works of art; and more specifically the medium of sculpture. Take
for example, the piece by Donatello, Saint Mark, this piece harkens back to the artwork of the Greek
culture by having the character whom is sculpted to be positioned in the contrappasto style, where the
audience may view the drapery covering his body beneath, particularly his left knee as it projects
forward... He is, in other words, a fully realized human form ; this technique was predominantly used
by Greek artists, and was relatively abandoned by all other artists after the fall of the Greek empire to
the Romans (Sayre, 2015). Yet, the artists of the Italian Renaissance saw the beauty and value of

The Abiding Presence Of God In The Gospel Of Matthew
The Gospel of Matthew is an ancient biography. It discusses the generation of Jesus, worshipping his
life and referring to his teachings as the good news. This Gospel summons readers to seek God s
Kingdom, to follow Jesus so that they can experience wonderful things, and to act on His words,
understand them and teach others like He taught us. The Gospel of Matthew consists of eight themes:
The Abiding Presence of God, Jesus as the Son of God, The Teaching of Jesus, Discipleship,
Interpretation and Scripture, Binding and Loosing, Worship and Doubt, Faith and Understanding, and
Hostility Towards Jewish Leaders. God is omnipresent, meaning that he is in attendance everywhere at
the same time. Matthew s Gospel exhibits interest in the ways that God is present on Earth. The
Gospel of Matthew answers the question, Where is God? , usually asked by many struggling believers
or by those who are generally curious. The answer that Matthew provides is divided into three
presentations. The first being that God is present in Jesus, meaning that when Jesus was brought into
this world, He had opened up a passage so that God can fully enter our world and actually be with us .
In fact, the main point of this theme is that Matthew accepts those who worship Jesus and deems it
appropriate because, in a sense, worshiping Jesus counts as worshiping God, who is present in Jesus.
This point was proposed for the people who lived before Jesus crucifixion. However, after Easter, the
question then

George Washington Military Life Essay
The Military Life of George Washington
George Washington, a man of many military achievements, brought ragtag farmers to military men,
and destroyed the most powerful army in the world. Washington was appointed the Commander in
Chief of the Continental Army on June 14, 1775. Washington, who had military experience before
serving in the Continental Army, had never commanded an army of this size. He was appointed leader
of the Continental Army because John Hancock, president of the Second Continental Congress,
thought of him as a man of great character who would help unite the colonies. Brilliant character and
leadership help George Washington win battles over the British, and make farmers into true military
men.
Experience, determination, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Training the farmers was a hard task for George Washington since there is only one of him and
thousands of other farmers who did not know what to do. Also, the colonies had a poor track record of
working together effectively. During the Battle of Saratoga, Ben Franklin created a military alliance
with the French. The French in return sent Marquis de Lafayette, a high ranking general in the French
military, to meet with George Washington. Lafayette was sent over to give the farmers supplies, and to
help train to become true military men. Training the farmers took a lot of hard work to get them
prepared for the war they were entering. An example of farmers being turned into fighters to defeat the
British Army occurred during the winter of Valley Forge. The farmers were forced to overcome
adversity such as disease, starvation, and lack of warmth. They needed motivation which George
Washington gave them. Washington encouraged them that they have what it takes to defeat the
greatest army in the world. The only thing that Washington could not help with was the pain. Mind
over matter. A positive attitude can accomplish anything. Washington could not stress that enough.
Another way that the farmers became military men was their fight at the Battle of Bunker Hill. They
did significant damage to the British. giving them self confidence and knowledge that

The Effect of the Instant Replay on NFL Officials Essay
The Effect of the Instant Replay on NFL Officials The NFL can vote to keep instant replay out of the
game every year, but the owners will never get rid of it. That s because like it or not, the NFL has
instant replay. It comes courtesy of television and Jumbotron. And it s leaving the leagues officials
vulnerable to widespread and immediate second guessing from fans, coaches and players a net inside
every stadium. The officials, in a matter speaking, are left working without. Seemingly on the verge of
returning instant replay to the game earlier in the week, the owners at their annual meetings rejected
the plan on Wednesday by three votes. The problem: Each time a coach challenged a call and
requested a replay, it costs the team ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even if the did, enough serious fans carry portable TVs with them in the stands. They can see the
network replays and listen to some coach turned analyst gripe that the coach on the field shouldn t be
expected to live with such horrible, amateurish calls . So officials will have to live with it, like they do
in other sports. With the history of a first failed attempt in the way and the fact that coaches will not
give up a timeout to challenge a call, the league is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Without
giving up a timeout the game will run too long, as it did before, and they know they can t give free
reign to challenge every call. What the league must do is simple. First, keep instant replay out of the
game and end this debate. Let the human element decide the outcome. The tight end who drops the
ball in the end zone doesn t get a second chance. Why should the official? We ve seen what happened
when officials had big brother watching. They became tentative. They also were involved in a good
number of calls which couldn t be conclusively determined from a replay. The game was delayed by
the review. Second, the league must make officials full time employees. The money it spends on the
gaudy commissioner s party at the Super Bowl could probably pay for all the salaries. Right now,
officials, according to the NFL, receive roughly from $1,600 to $4,000 a game, depended on length of
service. Pay them a realistic annual wage so that no

The definition of Psychedelic music
Psychedelic has been seen as a psychedelic culture in 1960s, a subculture of people who used the
psychedelic drugs such as: LSD, psilocybin mushrooms to experience visual and auditory
hallucinations, synesthesia and altered states of consciousness. So as Psychedelic music covers a range
of popular music styles and genres influenced by the 1960s and emerged during the mid 1960s among
folk rock and blues rock bands in the United States and Britain.
Psychedelic bands often drew on non Western sources such as the ragas, drones and sitars of Indian
music and they used electric instruments and electronic effects notably the lead electric guitar played

Career Development Paper
The theoretical career development framework that I chose to assist in Catherine s career counseling
process is Donald Super s counseling theory. I decided to chose this particular career development
framework because I thought it would be the most effective and appropriate to use with the client. The
client is thirty seven years of age and is dealing with a lot on her plate. Equally important, people
grow and change throughout their lives and this theory respects that. The client is the primary
emotional and financial support for her family. However, she does seem to have a strong support

Aziz Choudry Fight Back Analysis
Beginning a new life is not easy. Migrants who yearn for refuge, hope and prosperity often select
Canada for its proudly proclaimed multicultural society given its abundance of opportunities.
However, many are left deeply disappointed. Aziz Choudry et al. endeavours to expose the stark
untold reality awaiting many Canadian migrants who long for an improved life. Fight Back;
Workplace Justice for Immigrants provides a comprehensive overview detailing the endless
adversities surrounding employment, social discrimination and exploitation, vividly accented by the
very migrants battling at the forefront.
Fight Back commences with a broad historical analysis examining the implications of unscrupulous
neoliberal tactics. Neo liberalism, defined by the author as the underlying backbone of intensified
political policies on multiculturalism, employment, and immigration coupled with increasing
privatization is largely to blame for the rise of precarious work in Canada. The author theorizes a
capitalist restructuring of Canadian politics in the 1970s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

des Producteurs Agricoles amidst dozen others enables stronger, conclusive validity. The tone of the
book reflects a serious, alarming state as illustrated by the quote Immigrants shouldn t be treated as
commodities. The author s enthusiasm for the topic is infectious and the use of vivid firsthand

Although the industry is beneficial from a life cycle assessment point of view, over the years it has
gravitated toward countries with low labor costs, weak regulations on occupational safety, and limited
environmental enforcement. The global shift in the industry to countries with comparatively weaker
regulatory systems is of particular concern as ships contain many hazards that can have significant
detrimental effects on humans and the environment if not dealt with properly.
Currently, the global center of the ship breaking and recycling industry is located in South Asia,
specifically Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. These three countries account for 70 80 percent of the
international market for ship breaking of ocean going vessels, with China and Turkey accounting for
most of the rest. Only about 5 percent of the global volume of such vessels is scrapped outside these
five countries.
This study focuses on the SBRI in Bangladesh and Pakistan to get a better understanding of the
economics of the industry and the environmental impacts arising out of such activity and to explore
possible ways in which such environmental effects may be mitigated.

Examples Of Peer Relationships In Mean Girls
In the film Mean Girls there were many types of peer relationships expressed. Friendships are
described as a reciprocal liking, trust, and loyalty between all participating dyadic parties. An example
in the film is the relationship that Damian and Janis hold because they are loyal to each other and the
liking is mutual. Peer acceptance is to the degree one is liked by their peers. In the film Aaron Samuels
is very much liked by his peers. Perceived popular is a child that is considered popular based on their
peers perceptions. Regina George is a prime example of teenage girl perceived as popular. When
students described Regina George in the film these type of comments were made, Regina George is
flawless , One time she punched me in the faced. It was awesome. , and she always looks fierce.
Cliques are polyadic social groups that are voluntary. A main clique in the movie is The Plastics which
consists of Regina George, Gretchen Wieners, and Karen Smith. These forms of peer relationships are
a lot more complex than just a group of friends, these relationships of dynamic in early adolescence.
Friendship
Regina George s friend group is comprised of Karen and Gretchen. Their friendship is difficult at
times. They share secrets among each other, for example the burn book is a secret between the girls.
When Cady is included into the friend group she is then entrusted with the group s secrets. This group
of Plastics are friends by choice and always ask for each other s

drilling a series of holes into the stump to pour the chemicals into. This method is often used on
already rotting stumps, and while it does speed up the decomposition process, it s not one of the
quickest methods used for stump removal. Fire: In some instances, people will use fire to remove
stumps by piling pieces of scrap wood atop the stump and lighting it on fire. If you choose this

the sun beating down on my exposed skin and the sounds of all the younger kids playing in the back
ground. More importantly though, I remember the way I felt when I first saw my teammates. I felt a
great sense of happiness. Additionally, I felt warm inside, a sense of excitement, loved, needed, and
wanted. Even though I had my biological family, I also had a second family in them. This was my
Sunday family. That game, that day, was one of our biggest games! Not only was it against our biggest
rival but the winner went on to play in the state championship. The team we were playing had beaten

nervous, anxious, scared and even excited. As a goalie, I knew that a lot of the important aspects of the
game rested directly on my shoulders, a feat to which I gladly accepted.
Finally, after what felt like a lifetime, the whistle blew. This indicated that the game had begun. We

The Book of Acts Essay
The Book of Acts The book of Acts is known as the birth of the church . Acts recounts the story of the
early church from the time of Jesus ascension to Paul s arrival as a prisoner in Rome. Acts was written
by the author of Luke s gospel, Luke. Although the author does not name himself, evidence from the
book itself proves that the author was Luke. Luke was a physician. Scriptural evidence of this includes
Colossians 4:14: Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, and Demas send greetings. Luke often used
medical language. For instance, he finds the sailors bandaging the ship in Acts 27:17: When the men
had hoisted in aboard, they passed ropes under the ship itself to hold it together. Fearing that they

This is found by comparing Acts 1:1 with Luke 1:3 4. Acts 1:1: In my former book, Theophilus, I
wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after
giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. Luke 1: 3 4: (3) Therefore,
since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to
write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, (4) so that you may know the certainty of
things you have been taught. Because Luke s first book was written to Theophilus as was Acts, Luke
must be the author of both. Another reason to believe that Luke is the author of Acts is the way both
the book of Acts and Luke are written. The vocabulary, grammar and style are not only consistent
throughout both gospels. Luke was an eyewitness of some of the events in chapters 16 28, where he
changes his they statements to we statements. An example of this is in Acts16:10 11, 16: (10) And
after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering
that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them. (11) Therefore loosing from Troas, we
came with a straight course to Samothracia and the next day to Neapolis. (16) And it came to pass, as
we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit

What the heck is a mole? We have Avagadro ( and others) to thank for this........
6.02 x 1023 is the number of things per mole of the substance.
Here is a tutorial for an over view and for a reference as you work through these problems
http://www.wiley.com/college/chem/spencer053872/tutorial/gramsmoles/gramsmoles1.html We can
use this to do mathematical conversions to determine mass, volume, and number of atoms or
molecules in a given substance. For example let s check out this video to convert moles methane
(CH4) to grams of methane. http://www.sciencegeek.net/Chemistry/Video/Unit4/GMV2.shtml
Once you have finished the video let s practice by completing these problems (be sure to include
units!): ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Time for some more practice:
1. How many grams of glucose are in 6.63 x 1023 molecules of glucose, C6H12O6? *198.37g
C6H12O6
2. Determine the number of molecules found in a 12.4 g sample of H2SO4. *7.61x1023 atoms H2SO4
3. 3.14 x 1023 molecules of CO2 are produced in a chemical reaction. How much would the sample
weigh in grams? *2.29g CO2
4. How many atoms are in a 39.8 g sample of Fe? *3.68x1023 atoms Fe
Can I apply this somehow to volume? Well at standard temperature and pressure (STP) a mole of a gas
will occupy 22.4 liters. So If we keep our units straight we should be able calculate a given volume of
gas from moles. Check it out...... http://www.sciencegeek.net/Chemistry/Video/Unit4/GMV4.shtml 1.
Convert 427 Liters of CO2 to moles.
2. 37 liters of O2 to moles.
3. How about 3.4 moles of CO to liters?
4. 122 moles of Methane to liters?
What about converting a given volume of gas to mass or a given mass to volume? Once again you
have to get to that common ground first, which is the mole.

Daubert Standard Interview
In my interview with Professor Killgallon, my criminal justice professor we talked about the Daubert
Standard. The Daubert Standard is the assessment of how the courts treat an expert testimony. The
standards make sure that the evidence presented to the court used scientific methodology and if
accepted science was used to gain the evidence. The Daubert Standard is the new paradigm shift in
many states in the United States. It took the place of the Frye test, which was used for many years
before. The Daubert standard is the better test to use in courts because it makes the experts present
more evidence to make sure that the science or evidence was not faked.
The Frye Test is used determine whether or not the method by which that evidence was obtained was
generally accepted by experts in the particular field in which it belongs (Cornell) . The Frye standard
was made to have a set of expectations that are set on the people and the evidence that is being

I work with another volunteer and we often get into discussions about the length of our messages. I

long and she desires. If we are asked to speak for fifteen minutes, I will speak for five minutes and let
her speak for ten minutes. My behavior has begun to bother her so we had several discussions. My
ultimate desire was to persuade her to shorten her talk because she would begin to lose her audience. I
wanted to convince her to transform her approach in order for her message to get a better reception.
She wants to know why I allow her to speak for the longest amount of time. Our many discussions
include opportunities for me to talk about my perception of the audience. Based on research, college
studies and legislative occasions I explained that people seem to tune out after three minutes unless
the subject is pretty engaging. Eventually my co volunteer began to shorten her talks and participate in

Jack Kirby Research Paper
Let s make comic books great again! This statement does not necessarily insinuate that comic books
are not great but rather acknowledges its current depreciated state. Comic books came into prevalence
in the late 1930s, with Superman paving a way to an era of superheroes and comics, known as the
Golden Age of Comic Books. However, notable illustrators such as Jack Kirby, revitalized the comic
book phenomenon carrying it into the 1950s 1970s, by creating Fantastic 4 and other works of fiction.
In Comic Book Apocalypse: The Graphic World of Jack Kirby, individuals are exposed to the world of
comics and Jack Kirby s instrumental influence in this medium. Jack Kirby, or previously known as
Jacob Kurtzberg grew up in the poverty stricken area ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, the influence of comic books is seen widely across our culture with superheroes branded
and intertwined within our entertainment, clothing and politics. Culturally, comic books have created a
society in which individuals can escape their troubles and immerse themselves in the world of science
fiction and superheroes. These comic books and superheroes exemplify characteristics of bravery,
strength and honesty qualities that have a positive impact on our nation s youth. In correlation, comic
books have political consequences as this medium was often used as tools to instill patriotism and
propaganda. For example, in Jack Kirby s illustrations, the viewer often sees American soldiers
defeating and fighting Nazis or take Captain America for an example. Captain America epitomizes the
perception Americans have on our nation strong, unbeatable and lawful. In addition to infusing a sense
of patriotism, comics often depict political events or people. Additionally, these superheroes have had
a super impact on American Culture. Over the decades since their creation, billions of dollars have
been spent and gained through comic books, movies and television shows having several positive
economic effects. Lastly, comic books have created an art in which comics serve as a vehicle for a
narrative, grabbing the reader s attention with vivid illustrations and rich story plot. With comic books
embracing numerous implications on our society, people should care as this medium contains rich
contribution to aesthetic and art, while also providing a unique, page turning

Grade Up
Hey Ben, have you seen this? my dad exclaimed. Oh shoot, what could it be this time, I considered? I
hoped that it wouldn t be a bad grade, because I had not done anything yesterday and the days before,
as I had been practicing hard for a game against our rival school. Hopefully it could have been
something a kid in his class from Harvard had made, like last week when someone had made an toy
car that ran on carbon dioxide. Seen what Dad? I stammered. Just come down here! he shouted.
Fearing the worst, I wrenched open the door, and bolted down the stairs to my Dad s office, where I
saw him looking at his computer. Immediately, I knew what he was yelling at me for. So ... Show

When the bell rang I bolted out of science and sprinted across the broken pavement, brushing past
many students. When I got inside, I went through my study guide multiple times, until Ms. Baker, my
teacher, told us to put away our study guides and bring out a pencil. She passed out the test, and with a
groan I saw how thick it was. I opened it and it there were 50 questions! Immediately, I got stumped
on the first question. And then the fifth one. And the seventh, tenth, nineteenth, which were all about
some crazy kid name Bill trying to figure out which bike tire was the best for the price. When I finally
was finished with the test, there was 2 minutes left in the period. I reluctantly dropped my paper into
the scanner, my hand sweaty from nervousness. Slowly I opened my eyes.
No I whispered to myself. I had gotten a B , which I doubted would have raised my grade up to a C or
above, which is what I needed to be able to shoot some hoops again. But at least I didn t get a C or
lower, which would have surely dropped my grade to an F, and make me in a bigger hole than I was
before. So as the bell rang, I reluctantly got my backpack and went to the parking lot where my dad
was going to pick me up. I knew right off the bat that he was going to ask me what I got. So, I came
straight out and told him that I got a B . But I layed it on thick saying that I was sure that it wouldn t
drop my grade, and would probably bring it up. So when we got home, we checked Grade Check and
saw that my grade was only brought up by 3%, to a

A Closer Look At I.a. Richards
A Closer Look at I.A. Richards and Semantic Triangle Theory
I.A. Richards said, Language, if it is to be used, must be a ready instrument (Russo, 2015). He thrived
off of his need to understand the use of language and it is a common and recurring theme throughout
his work. Richards was a teacher, philosopher, poet, prolific speaker, lover of books and words
themselves (Russo, 2015). A complex man who led a complicated life, Richards ultimately facilitated
a way to better understand the intricate process of how words gain meaning (Golden, Berquist,
Coleman, Sproule, 2010). Through examining the semantic triangle theory, a student can understand
how to become an efficient communicator. Discussed below is a basic introduction to Richards, ...

Richards ) In 1939, he began teaching English at Harvard and stayed taught there for a quarter of a
century ( I.A. Richards). He died in 1979, but he will never be forgotten, for he has made an
everlasting impact on the studies of linguistics and rhetoric ( I.A. Richards).
What is the Semantic Triangle? According to The Theory of Western Thought, The best known
rhetorical device developed in The Meaning of Meaning is perhaps the semantic triangle (Golden,
Berquist, Coleman, Sproule, 2010, pg. 265). Ogden and Richards determined that people generally see
words as things in reality therefore we confuse the symbol or word with the thing or object in reality
(Golden, Berquist, Coleman, Sproule, 2010). For example, the word FAN would literally be
perpetually twirling propellers to produce wind. Of course, one intellectually understands that the
object and the word are not the same thing, however, while humans communicate, as Ogden and
Richards argue, we tend to make a necessary connection between the word and the reality of the
object, which they refer to as the referent (Golden, Berquist, Coleman, Sproule, 2010). Simply put,
our experience with a word or object, is parallel to our basic understanding of the object we use the
word to refer to.

The City Of Ember Doon A Dynamic Character
After reading The City Of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau, I have learned that (Doon) is a dynamic
character. At the beginning of the book, the character is (Confidant)eventually, the character becomes
(afraid), and (then Doon became enthusiastic). These character traits were observed through Doons
actions, dialogue, relationships, choices, and problems.
This character connects to the world alone because there are alot of people like Doon,I say that
because in Doons mind it was easy to fix the generator but it really isn t(Easier said than done).
I have learned that Doon is confident about getting out of Ember and fixing the generator through his
choices and this tells me alot about Doons personality and that Doon believes in himself. The first
example to show that Doon is confidant is he was happy that Lina traded jobs and he got the pipe
works as a job.One of the main reason why Doon wanted the pipe works as a job mainly was
confident he could fix the generator. The second example to show that Doon was confidant is when he
went to work the main thing that he thought about was the generator and also most of the time all he
tried just try to figure out how to fix the generator. Then the last example is when at the end of the

Pros And Cons Of Tasers
In this current period of time, police men and women have an even bigger target on their backs
compared to times of the past. In the past year, we as students have had a very unique opportunity as
criminal justice majors to see some interesting events unfold, such as the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, a
number of allegedly wrongful deaths done by the police s hands, to the riots in Baltimore. With all of
this happening, I feel that the use of technology and militarization is beneficial to the men and women
across America who serve as police officers. Along with this, not only is it more beneficial to police,
but it could be more beneficial to civilians as well. For Example, one of the new advances that police
use that are beneficial are tasers. Tasers are less lethal compared to firearms, but are effective enough
to subdue a suspect. Of course there are critics of taser use, but more concrete studies show increased

Protection of the people is one of the police s most important jobs, and if that means we adopt a more
militaristic style of policing compared to a more community based policing style, then so be it. For
example, a study was done on the Long Beach Police and found the department became more focused
on tactical concerns such as patrol and counter terrorism while abandoning policing activities such as
foot patrol. (Lee, 2010). Now, I am not an expert on the crime patterns in Long Beach, however, I
believe it would be safe to say the crime levels have dropped due to the militarization, as would be
criminals may be more likely to wimp out , knowing the police have the weapons they need in order to
stop them. Finally, with all of the tools available to the police in this time of militarization, they should

Throughout the book, Margery Kempe describes the events that took place during her lifetime, and
were written as she could remember them, not as a chronological and organized order. In today s
society, Margery Kempe may have been known as someone who suffered from post partum psychosis
after her numerous childbirths. This could have been a diagnosis due to her rampant disorganized
behavior, continuous hallucinations, and her self destructive behavior depicted throughout the entire

B. F. Skinner s Operant Conditioning Theory
What is the operant conditioning theory? The operant conditioning theory supports the idea that
learning is responsible for the change in behavior. One of the most widely known operant conditioner
is B. F. Skinner. He believed that the essential learning principles in operant conditioning are positive
reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment. According to
(Troutman Alberto, 2017), B.F. Skinner began testing this theory by working on animals, preferably
white rats and sometimes pigeons. In 1963, Skinner explained while he was in the military, he and his
colleagues began to train the pigeons to perform various behaviors (Troutman Alberto, 2017). This
began Skinner s preliminary approach to studying human behavior. My goal is to briefly describe the
operant conditioning theory, the theorist B.F. Skinner and his beliefs, and then connect how my case
study is related.
There are four essential learning principles: positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive
punishment, and negative punishment. Positive reinforcement describes a functional relation between
two environmental events: a behavior and a consequence (Troutman Alberto, 2017). Behavior is
learned with the assistance of positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcements can be anything from a

The Beliefs Of Christianity And Christianity
Love is the hardest lesson in Christianity; but, for that reason, it should be most our care to learn it
(www.brainyquote.com). Christianity started to spread about 30 years after Jesus death. Unlike Jewish
Law, to be a Christian you did not have to be circumcised. This rule caused the Jews and the
Christians to start disagreeing on some laws. Christians faced many hardships, one of which was being
blamed for the fire in the Roman Empire. Paul wrote many letters to people about Christianity
throughout the Roman empire while he was on house arrest. To the Christians, this showed great faith
to risk your life to spread the word of God. Early Christians, and their religion, faced many hardships;
Growth, spread, and rulers helped shape the Christianity we have today.
After Jesus death in 46 CE Christianity started to spread. Between Jesus death and the council of
Antioch, in the mid 40s CE, when Christianity was clearly identified as a distinct religion, the new
religion was considered by its members to be the fulfillment of Judaism rather than a new religion. (
Growth of Christianity in the Roman Empire). This quote explains how Christianity was becoming a
distinct religion. This new religion, Christianity, was closely linked to Judaism. Because the religions
were so closely linked, they shared common ground with other provinces in which Jews were
welcome. The Jews and the Christians started to disagree on the fact that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.

The Effect Of Conditioned Response On Hr Student s Name...
Effect of Conditioned Response on HR Student s name Institution Abstract This report is based on an
experiment to investigate the effect t of a tone conditioned stimuli to heart rate. The study used 56
participants mean age 24.20 years where 15 were male and 41 were female. The study was purely
experimental where the participants were subjected to a specified tone either at rest or when hopping
and then were asked to count their heart beat rate using the palpation method. The experiment took
place in three phases pre test, training and the post test. Heart rates results for each participant was
recorded in each phase and the mean heart rate was calculated for the pre test and post test. Results
indicated higher mean rates and standard deviation for post test in comparison to the pre test. A sample
t test was also carried out for pre test vs post test mean hear rate measurements. Analysis of the results
showed that tone conditioned stimuli led to increased heart rates. Effect of Conditioned Response on

Polymers And Their Monomer Units
In order to better understand this lab one must first understand about polymers and their monomer
units. Polymers are substances containing a large number of structural units joined by the same type of
linkage. The small molecules that make up these polymer chains are called monomers. Polymers in
the natural world have been around since the beginning of time and are found many places in nature.
Starch, cellulose, and rubber all possess polymeric properties. Cellulose and starch are actually
polymers of glucose which is a monosaccharide.
Man made polymers (also known as synthetic polymers) have been studied since 1832. Today, the
polymer industry has grown to be larger than the aluminum, copper and steel industries combined.
Some of these synthetic polymers are include foam rubber, disposable diapers, plastic cups, garden
hoses, nylon, plastic wrap, etc. Polymers already have a range of applications that far exceeds that of
any other class of material available to man. Current applications extend from adhesives, coatings,
foams, and packaging materials to textile and industrial fibers, composites, electronic devices,
biomedical devices, optical devices, and precursors for many newly developed high tech ceramics.
Not every kind of plastic is the same. In 1988, the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) established a

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Blantching In Cooking
3.3 BLANCHING
Blanching is a cooking process in which the food substances, usually a fruit or vegetable, is immersed
in boiling water at temperature ranging approximately from 70°C to 100°C , removed after a brief,
period of time, and finally poured into iced water or placed under cold running water to half the
cooking process. The outer part of the fruit will easy to peel off as putting vegetables or fruits in
boiling water for a minute before putting them into ice water will making the outer part of the fruit
become soft. For an example, when almonds or pistachios are blanched, the skin of the nut softens and
can be easily removed later.

This cooking method usually contains more than one utensils and equipment. When the water is
heated or boiled until it has passed 2120F, the water will turn into steam.
Steaming has more advantages compared to other similar cooking method such as boiling, simmering
or blanching because it doesn t involve agitation so it is actually gentler on delicate items like fish,
prawn, etc. Besides that, steaming cooking method doesn t require the food to be submerged
completely into the water so it prevents the nutrients loss.
When a food is steamed, it also cooked quite fast. The heat of the steam depends on how hot the water
temperature is. The higher the temperature of water, the hotter the steam becomes. Cooking with
steaming method can be done by putting a pot containing sufficient water on the stove and another
layer of pot such as basket above it so that the food will not drowned inside the water and then the pot

Florence Was The Birthplace Of The Italian Renaissance The Italian Renaissance was a period in history unlike most others; this was an era of ingenuity, expansion, and enlightenment that would revolutionize both society as the people of the Renaissance knew it to be, and as the future generations of individuals across the globe understand it today. Florence held itself out to be the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, yet the people of this renaissance era never lost sight of the Greek and Roman heritage. It discusses the generation of Jesus, worshipping his life and referring to his teachings as the good news. This Gospel summons readers to seek God s Kingdom, to follow Jesus so that they can experience wonderful things, and to act on His words, understand them and teach others like He taught us. The Gospel of Matthew consists of eight themes: The Abiding Presence of God, Jesus as the Son of God, The Teaching of Jesus, Discipleship, Interpretation and Scripture, Binding and Loosing, Worship and Doubt, Faith and Understanding, and Hostility Towards Jewish Leaders. God is omnipresent, meaning that he is in attendance everywhere at the same time. Matthew s Gospel exhibits interest in the ways that God is present on Earth. The Gospel of Matthew answers the question, Where is God? , usually asked by many struggling believers or by those who are generally curious. The answer that Matthew provides is divided into three presentations. The first being that God is present in Jesus, meaning that when Jesus was brought into this world, He had opened up a passage so that God can fully enter our world and actually be with us . In fact, the main point of this theme is that Matthew accepts those who worship Jesus and deems it appropriate because, in a sense, worshiping Jesus counts as worshiping God, who is present in Jesus. This point was proposed for the people who lived before Jesus crucifixion. However, after Easter, the question then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Also, the colonies had a poor track record of working together effectively. During the Battle of Saratoga, Ben Franklin created a military alliance with the French. The French in return sent Marquis de Lafayette, a high ranking general in the French military, to meet with George Washington. Lafayette was sent over to give the farmers supplies, and to help train to become true military men. Training the farmers took a lot of hard work to get them prepared for the war they were entering. An example of farmers being turned into fighters to defeat the British Army occurred during the winter of Valley Forge. The farmers were forced to overcome adversity such as disease, starvation, and lack of warmth. They needed motivation which George Washington gave them. Washington encouraged them that they have what it takes to defeat the greatest army in the world. The only thing that Washington could not help with was the pain. Mind over matter. A positive attitude can accomplish anything. Washington could not stress that enough. Another way that the farmers became military men was their fight at the Battle of Bunker Hill. The Effect of the Instant Replay on NFL Officials Essay The Effect of the Instant Replay on NFL Officials The NFL can vote to keep instant replay out of the game every year, but the owners will never get rid of it. That s because like it or not, the NFL has instant replay. It comes courtesy of television and Jumbotron. And it s leaving the leagues officials vulnerable to widespread and immediate second guessing from fans, coaches and players a net inside every stadium. The officials, in a matter speaking, are left working without. Even if the did, enough serious fans carry portable TVs with them in the stands. They can see the network replays and listen to some coach turned analyst gripe that the coach on the field shouldn t be expected to live with such horrible, amateurish calls . So officials will have to live with it, like they do in other sports. With the history of a first failed attempt in the way and the fact that coaches will not give up a timeout to challenge a call, the league is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Without giving up a timeout the game will run too long, as it did before, and they know they can t give free reign to challenge every call. What the league must do is simple. First, keep instant replay out of the game and end this debate. Let the human element decide the outcome. The tight end who drops the ball in the end zone doesn t get a second chance. Why should the official? We ve seen what happened when officials had big brother watching. They became tentative. They also were involved in a good number of calls which couldn t be conclusively determined from a replay. The game was delayed by the review. Second, the league must make officials full time employees. The money it spends on the gaudy commissioner s party at the Super Bowl could probably pay for all the salaries. Right now, officials, according to the NFL, receive roughly from $1,600 to $4,000 a game, depended on length of service. Pay them a realistic annual wage so that no ... A complex man who led a complicated life, Richards ultimately facilitated a way to better understand the intricate process of how words gain meaning (Golden, Berquist, Coleman, Sproule, 2010). Through examining the semantic triangle theory, a student can understand how to become an efficient communicator. Discussed below is a basic introduction to Richards, ... He died in 1979, but he will never be forgotten, for he has made an everlasting impact on the studies of linguistics and rhetoric ( I.A. Richards). What is the Semantic Triangle? According to The Theory of Western Thought, The best known rhetorical device developed in The Meaning of Meaning is perhaps the semantic triangle (Golden, Berquist, Coleman, Sproule, 2010, pg. 265). Ogden and Richards determined that people generally see words as things in reality therefore we confuse the symbol or word with the thing or object in reality (Golden, Berquist, Coleman, Sproule, 2010). For example, the word FAN would literally be perpetually twirling propellers to produce wind. Of course, one intellectually understands that the object and the word are not the same thing, however, while humans communicate, as Ogden and Richards argue, we tend to make a necessary connection between the word and the reality of the object, which they refer to as the referent (Golden, Berquist, Coleman, Sproule, 2010). Simply put, our experience with a word or object, is parallel to our basic understanding of the object we use the word to refer to. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the most widely known operant conditioner is B. F. Skinner. He believed that the essential learning principles in operant conditioning are positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment. According to (Troutman Alberto, 2017), B.F. Skinner began testing this theory by working on animals, preferably white rats and sometimes pigeons. In 1963, Skinner explained while he was in the military, he and his colleagues began to train the pigeons to perform various behaviors (Troutman Alberto, 2017). This began Skinner s preliminary approach to studying human behavior. My goal is to briefly describe the operant conditioning theory, the theorist B.F. Skinner and his beliefs, and then connect how my case study is related. There are four essential learning principles: positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment. Positive reinforcement describes a functional relation between two environmental events: a behavior and a consequence (Troutman Alberto, 2017). Behavior is learned with the assistance of positive reinforcement. Christianity started to spread about 30 years after Jesus death. Unlike Jewish Law, to be a Christian you did not have to be circumcised. This rule caused the Jews and the Christians to start disagreeing on some laws. Christians faced many hardships, one of which was being blamed for the fire in the Roman Empire. Paul wrote many letters to people about Christianity throughout the Roman empire while he was on house arrest. To the Christians, this showed great faith to risk your life to spread the word of God. Early Christians, and their religion, faced many hardships; Growth, spread, and rulers helped shape the Christianity we have today. After Jesus death in 46 CE Christianity started to spread. Between Jesus death and the council of Antioch, in the mid 40s CE, when Christianity was clearly identified as a distinct religion, the new religion was considered by its members to be the fulfillment of Judaism rather than a new religion. ( Growth of Christianity in the Roman Empire). This quote explains how Christianity was becoming a distinct religion. This new religion, Christianity, was closely linked to Judaism. Heart rates results for each participant was recorded in each phase and the mean heart rate was calculated for the pre test and post test. Results indicated higher mean rates and standard deviation for post test in comparison to the pre test. A sample t test was also carried out for pre test vs post test mean hear rate measurements. Analysis of the results showed that tone conditioned stimuli led to increased heart rates. Effect of Conditioned Response on HR A conditioned stimulus in classical conditioning can be defined as a learned response in relation to a previously neutral stimulus (Domjan, Grau, amp; Krause, 2010).
