The Importance Of Divorce In Arizona
The law is riddled with perplexities and seemingly complicated ideas worded in ways that seem
purposefully difficult to understand. But when it comes to divorce in Arizona there are a few divorce
statutes that you don t need to worry about the ones that talk about grounds for divorce in Arizona.
Why is that?
Every state set its own divorce laws and divorce statutes. For instance, in Arizona, you can file for
divorce as long as one spouse has lived in Arizona for a minimum of 90 days. Additionally, Arizona is
what is called a no fault state. That means that either spouse can assert the marriage to be irretrievably
broken without either one of them being required to provide a reason for the divorce.
In other states, one spouse must request

Misfit Employees
INTRODUCTION Hiring the wrong employee can have a detrimental effect on any team. According
to McDonald (2013), Not only do bad hiring decisions drain an organization s budget, they also take a
toll on morale, productivity and time. Misfit recruits require significant attention, distracting both
managers and team members from focusing on business critical initiatives. For many years, company
recruiters and hiring managers had the same tools at their disposal to locate and evaluate job
applicants. Finding the right person for a job often was and still is a lengthy and costly process. The
payout for selecting the best candidate can be significant, and hiring the wrong person can be costly,
yet often mistakes are hard to avoid. The wrong

Phoenix Jackson Wisdom
If you had lived multiple lives and witnessed countless events how would you use that wisdom? In A
Worn Path , written by Eudora Welty, Phoenix Jackson is an elderly woman living in Natchez,
Mississippi. She is a woman of strength and perseverance who is willing to make a long trek to town
every year to get the necessary medicine for her ill grandson. She has experienced countless events
that have allowed her to have a great deal of wisdom. The same is for the phoenix bird who can live
up to a thousand years. During these years it is exposed to a large amount of information which they
in turn use in their lifetime. The phoenix bird and Phoenix Jackson share similar characteristics with
their strength, the fire in their heart, their watchful eye, and their ability to fulfill a greater purpose.
Phoenix Jackson embodies and represents the phoenix bird. Phoenix Jackson s mission is to get the
medicine that her grandson desperately needs. This journey that she makes into town happens without
hesitation, and is like clockwork. Each time she goes to get this medicine it is like giving her grandson
new life and he is reborn in a sense. This is like the phoenix bird who makes a restless voyage to a

With these events a great deal of wisdom is revealed to her. Phoenix s wisdom is also an indicator of
how old she is. Her eyes were blue with age (p.1). This is not only a reference to her eyesight but also
explains Phoenix s age. Phoenix is asked by a hunter what her age is and she says, There is no telling,
mister... no telling (p.4). Phoenix is unaware of her own age and truly tells how old she is. Many
characteristics can be drawn to the phoenix bird from this. The phoenix is a bird that lives a long time
and over time is able to adapt because of the information it has gathered and the wisdom it has gained.
Phoenix Jackson embodies the age and wisdom that the phoenix bird

Global Expansion
WFM is trying to develop a strategic plan to grow their business in an extremely competitive market.
They are searching for ways to sustain their strong financial and cultural capabilities without losing
revenue. Societal trends are shifting towards a healthier and environmental lifestyle, which is
substantially affecting the food retail industry. To keep up with these societal trends, grocery stores are
incorporating organic and healthier food products into the stores. This poses as a threat towards WFM,
as their value proposition is substantially losing its worth. WFM must assess the company from an
internal and external perspective in order to determine if expanding their locations into Canada will be
worthwhile. There is a variety of risks that the company must assess prior to implementation. If WFM
decides to expand through a slow process, there is a possibility of their competition dominating the
industry. In addition, WFM must understand that this expansion will require extensive capital and a
new logistic/distribution strategy. The plan that WFM decides to instill must keep their current
organizational culture consistent. WFM has been named America s Healthiest Grocery store selling a
variety of natural and organic food products. The rivalry amongst competitors is extremely ... Show

From a political perspective, the increasing organic foods regulations have been posing as a threat.
Regulations are becoming stricter and require an intensive amount of standards to meet. These
regulations ensure that companies are meeting the government implemented bilingual and nutritional

amongst consumers. FCPP requirements have ensured that companies do not commit fraud or misuse
the organic label. Consumers rely on the legitimacy of certifications to ensure the the products are

Differences Between Nature Vs Nurture Essay
Throughout this paper, we will be comparing similarities and differences between our seven members
based on the Big Five Inventory test results to our Zodiac sign attributes. Each member of Psychology
101 Group 14 was required to take the OCEAN Big Personality Quiz, and then compare the results to
the other members of the team. Then after looking at the results individual members compared their
scores to their Zodiac signs to see if they could identify similarities. To begin, while looking at our
comparatives scores of the OCEAN Big 5 Personality quizzes, we found that a few group members
were similar, although there was many differences in the group too. For example, Gabe and Damon
were similar in Openness, with a score of 41 and 35 respectively. On the other hand, Socoro and
Vivianna were outliers in the group, with Vivianna having a score of 5, and Socoro with a score of 59.
We believe while the scores are closely related, our reasons for being close together in Openness value
more shows the debate between nature vs nurture. Gabe s belief on being in the 35th percentile is how
he was raised throughout his family environment similar to Kaitlyn in the 41st percentile, while
Damon s belief for being in the 41st percentile was more so being born into the statistic rather than
recalling any events that contributed to his score. Rachael scored in the 16th percentile, which
indicates a preference of a more regular schedule. She believes that this is because of how she

Examples Of Dystopia In 1984
Dystopia and Science Fiction A dystopia is a imagined universe in which oppressive societal control
and the illusion of a perfect society are maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological,
moral, or totalitarian control. Dystopias, through an exaggerated worst case scenario, make a criticism
about a current trend, societal norm, or political system. Some of the traits in a dystopian character is
that the character feels that something s wrong. Also, if the character question the society and political
system. In 1984 the main character Winston starts by walking down a hallway and sees a big poster
with a face on it and the words Big Brothers is Watching You. Then, when Winston is walking he sees
the a helicopter flying between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These values were questioned when Winston noticed that a helicopter was spying on people through
the windows. In the far distance a helicopter skimmed down between the roofs, hovered for an instant
like a bluebottle, and darted away again with matter, however. Only the Thought Police mattered
(Orwell 4). The government spies on people to make sure there not doing anything illegal. Winston
challenged the authorities by writing in a book when he knows if he gets caught he would be
punished. The thing that he was about to do was to open a diary. This was not illegal (nothing was
illegal, since there were no longer any laws), but if detected it was reasonably certain that it would be
punished by death, or at least by twenty five years in a forced labour camp (9). This shows that
Winston is challenging the authorities because he s writing in a book and knows that if he gets caught
that he could possibly die. The author was trying to say about the darkside of technology is that the
more it improves the essayer the government can spy on people. This can be shown today because
when a person posts something on the internet everyone can see it. I think that it is good that the
government has a good control on people so we are safe but if they have too much power the people
won t have any freedom. I also think the author thinks there should be less government

Thesis Statement On Occupational Stress
This thesis explores the area of occupational stress at a well known construction company in Sweden,
by interviewing employees about their views and perceptions of causes and effects of job stress and
what areas that calls for improvement. To get a broader picture of the employee perceptions, an
employee survey was sent out to a larger group of employees working in the Gothenburg area. It is
clear that construction personnel suffer from a high level of occupational stress. A difference was
spotted between those who work on site, compared to those working at the office. Site managers and
supervisors working on site were the ones that experienced the highest level of stress. By working in
projects, they have both tight deadlines and budgets to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This leaves the company, along with other construction companies in the industry, dependent on
unskilled labour, which in turn brings its own risks. It may increase mistakes and safety risks through
miscommunication and lack of knowledge of how certain tasks should be performed accurately.
However, this is in issue to the whole industry, as it is a scarcity of personnel. It is clear that
construction projects depend on the employees knowledge and skills in planning and executing the
work, but as mentioned, it is increasingly difficult to find those people. Moreover, this makes it
increasingly important to sufficiently train newly hired employees, as they are a necessity in current
projects. It was notified that newly hired personnel may not receive adequate training at all times, as
experienced individuals do not always feel they have time to take care of them properly. This in turn,
could be seen as very harmful to the business, as it may take longer time for them to learn, but the
company may also lose those individuals to competitors or even other

Essay On Xoxy Paine
Created to help grow recognition of the Museum, the project of Modern Sculpture Initiative collected
identifiable sculptures in the Kansas City Sculpture Park at the Nelson Atkins Museum (Paine 15).
This park holds pieces from Henry Moore and the duo Claes Oldenburg and Coosje Van Bruggen. As
a gift to retired Martin Friedman, who was the advisor of the Modern Sculpture Initiative and director
of the Walker, he got to commission a work by the artist of his choosing (Roxy Paine s), 2010). With
help from the Hall Family Foundation, a dendroid installation called Ferment by Roxy Paine was the
newest addition in 2011 (Paine 17). Since Paine has 24 dendroid sculptures spread across North
America, it is an honor to have one that gave excitement and quality to the park (Roxy Paine s, 2010).
Curator Jan Schall expressed, Roxy Paine is one of the most important young sculptors today. Ferment
will be the reigning monarch on that hillside. It is an outstanding addition to the collection that will
enlighten, perplex and delight everyone who sees it. ( Roxy Paine s , 2010) When a person goes to the

By definition, ferment is something as a yeast, bacterium, mold, or enzyme that causes fermentation or
it is to make turbulent, excite (Paine 43). From the article Roxie Paine Branches Out in KC Paine

but then it s frozen in this material that is extremely stable, extremely hard (Strong, 2011). For Paine,
many of his dendroids exemplify contradictions within itself. For the Ferment, it is considered lifeless
by its look, but it goes deeper into symbolizing unity between heaven, earth and the underworld (Paine
43). Stated in the book Roxy Paine: Ferment, it further explains his reasons for the name of the

Similarities And Differences Between Coming To America And...
The following essay will compare and contrast two cultural productions that represent and depict
Africa. The films Coming to America by John Landis and The Gods Must Be Crazy by Jamie Uys
have similarities and differences according to the meaning of Africa. The similarities of these films are
the use of the current English language, religion, comedy relief, traditions, and interpretation of
Africans single story . The differences of these films are the time period, locations, clothing,
articulation, and reputation. The cultural productions of Coming to America and The Gods Must Be
Crazy can be compared and contrasted because both films exhibit a relationship that depicts how we
think about Africa not as a place, but as people as a whole in the modern world. The depiction of the
movie Coming to America and The God Must Be Crazy can be compared and contrasted on the films
locations. In Coming to America Prince Akeem Joffer is from the nation of Zamunda, which is a
fictional location. This location is only seen in the beginning and end of the film. The nation of
Zamunda depicts the idea of Africa as a land of substantial wealth. In addition, Africa as people has
the highest level of status and rights like having arranged marriages. In contrast, The Gods Must Be
Crazy is set in Botswana, South Africa in the Kalahari Desert. ... Show more content on

Teenagers In The Breakfast Club
Teenage is an essential stage for psychological development. Different shifts in the physical,
emotional and psychological occur during this phase. The shifts are crucial indicators for the
development of a child towards adulthood. In most cases, these shifts in the psychological structure of
a teenager may bring different pressures and issues. The issues may involve peer pressure, identity
confusion, rebellion, pursuit for attention, amongst others. The Breakfast Club demonstrates the
pressures and issues that are found amongst teenagers. The issues and pressures are predominantly
demonstrated through characterization, scenery, setting and dialogue in the film. Characterization in

This feature is therefore reflected in the movie through dialogue. The nature of words and sentences
the characters use are not grammatical. The language takes a deviant form. This deviant language is
mostly observable in Carl. He tries to look stylish and tough as he addresses his peers in the unique
language. Costumes that are used in this movie complement the characters effectively. The six
teenagers constantly wear casual clothes in the movie. This demonstrates their strife for identity
attainment as well as an unleashed rebellion. They also demonstrate sophistication and
fashionableness through the clothes. Allison s insecurities are hidden in her hair styles and clothes.
Her costumes demonstrate a stylish personality while she has extreme insecurities. The costumes are
vital in demonstrating character traits. Attitudes are different across the six characters in the movie.
Most teenagers take up specific attitudes according to the cherished identity. In the movie, each of the
six characters has a different attitude that differs from the rest. For example, Carl has a deliberate
choice of staying harsh, tough and dominant. This is an attitude that complements the ideal identity for

Amelia s Grief In The Babadody
The Babadook is an Australian made film created, and directed by Jennifer Kent. The film was
released in two thousand fourteen, and rated a seven out of ten by movie critics. The Babadook
follows single parent, Amelia, who loses her husband in a car accident at the beginning of the movie
on the way to give birth to their son Samuel. Amelia and Samuel are both struggling to cope with his
death. Samuel has begun to misbehave in school, and has discovered an imaginary monster friend
whom is quite often troublesome. One night Amelia reads Samuel a nighttime story named Mister
Babadook. Every since they read the book, it seems as if the monster has come alive, and mysterious
things have been happening to the two of them. The Babadook has started to inhibit Amelia and
Samuels lives. Depression manipulates people s lives, and in this film, The Babadook symbolizes a
living form of Amelia s grief due to her husband s death.
The Babadook is a metaphor for the Amelia s grief, therefore making it a monster. Grief in the
instance of Amelia s life represents a nontraditional monster. Grief is not literally a monster, but at the
same time it is because it is very scary, makes you uncomfortable, and hard to get away from. It is
almost impossible for a person to escape grief because it is a natural response to any situation that
makes you feel miserable. When grief first took over Amelia, it caused her to do bizarre things. First,
she started talking down on Samuel, and treating him

The Raft Of Flowers By Robert Frost
In his poem The Tuft of Flowers, Robert Frost tells the story of a lonely man who is turning grass in a
field after a mower has cut it down. Though the man at first believes he is completely alone and that
all other people are too, he later reevaluates that position, concluding the opposite that connections
exist between everyone and everything and that nobody is ever alone. Frost argues that one is never
truly alone as all people are connected to each other. Initially, the speaker in the poem feels lonely and
unconnected to the world around him, I must be, as he had been, alone, (ln 8). Frost s use of
punctuation is especially interesting in this phrase as he uses a comma immediately before an em dash,
enormously exaggerating the pause ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Frost s use of personification in this line is overwhelming, calling attention to the speaker s newly
awakened sense of closeness with other people. The speaker, overjoyed to see the tuft of flowers
amidst the destruction of the rest of the field, realizes that the mower must have also seen the beauty
of the flowers, noting, The mower in the dew had loved them thus,/By leaving them to flourish, not
for us (ln 27 28). The speaker understands that the mower had left the flowers for purely selfish
reasons, but at the same time, he feels connected to the mower on the basis that they had both
recognized and admired the beauty of the flowers. This revelation leads him to conclude that people
are connected to each other in both obvious and subtle ways, calling the mower a spirit kindred to my
own (ln. 35). Interestingly, lines 9 and 10 are juxtaposed with the last two lines of the poem: Men
work together, I told him from the heart,/ Whether they work together or apart (ln 41 42). Not only
does the speaker contradict his earlier statement, but Frost also mirrors the wording, the two sentences
appearing nearly identical, in order to create a visual representation of the meaning of his words:
people are more alike than they are different and therefore bonds exist between all people. Frost also
structures the poem in such a way

The Most Notable Irish Politicians Of The 19th Century And...
John Dillon is one of the most notable Irish politicians of the later 19th century and early 20th century.
He was an avid home rule advocate, a leader in the Irish Parliamentary Party, and a devout follower of
Charles Parnell. He was jailed several times for his political activity within the home rule cause. In
May of 1881, he wrote this letter out of Kilmainham Gaol, where he was imprisoned. One of the first
notable things seen is the actual stationary, which is has black edges. Black edged stationery was
mostly used for mourning stationary during the Victorian era. It was used when a family member died.
Dillon s sister Christina had died from tuberculosis in December 1880, prompting him to use the black
edge stationary. Dillon wrote the letter in Kilmainham Gaol, located in Dublin. It was opened in 1796,
and was used to house political prisoners, as well as others. Notable prisoners held here were Dillon,
Dillon s mentor Charles Stewart Parnell, Robert Emmet, The Invincibles, along with other Home Rule
advocates and independence seekers. It was abandoned in 1924 due to aging infrastructure. Interest in
its refurbishment began in 1966. Today, the gaol serves as a museum open to the public, operated by
the Irish Office of Public Works.
The letter was written on of May 30th, 1881, and was addressed to Cowen. This can be presumed to
be Joseph Cowen, who was an English member of Parliament for Newcastle upon Tyne from 1874
until 1886. Cowen was a member of the Liberal Party,

A Journey of Valuable Lesson in Niccolo Ammaniti s I m...
The novel, I m Not Scared, by Niccolo Ammaniti takes you on a memorable journey with Michele
Amitrano, a nine year old boy, who learns valuable lessons on how trust and loyalty gives you more
than greed and money oriented acts. The journey arises in 1978 in Aqua Traverse during the time
when the small, isolated town of Southern Italy suffered from a major heat wave. Around this time is
when Michele makes a tragic discovery of a young, kidnapped Filippo who is chained up in a hole and
made to live in the most inhumane conditions. Through the finding of Filippo Michele s innocence
becomes a thing of the past as it uncovers the truth about the real monsters in Aqua Traverse.
Although, Michele never loses sight of his strong belief in the values of trust and loyalty even with his
regretful selling out of Filippo to Salvatore Scardiccione and Pino s (Papa s) to deter him from
knowing the truth but then his materialistic ways of winning him back after the truth is discovered.
Michele s first experience with the acts of betrayal is when he discovers the villager s involvement in
the kidnapping of Filippo. From this he realizes the value of trust and loyalty is far more important
than money. Prior to his discovery of the kidnapping, Michele admired and looked up to all the adults
in Aqua Traverse, especially his parents, Pino and Teresa. Throughout the novel we see Michele s
views and opinions of his father change dramatically with hints Ammaniti provides. Such as, at the

Capital Punishment Is Not Effective
There have been many statistics that state there is an estimated 2% to 5% of all prisoners in America
are innocent. Capital punishment is legal authorization to kill someone as a punishment for crimes
such as treason, terrorism, espionage, federal murder, and large scale drug trafficking. In the 1960s,
the American Convention on Human rights was created providing a right for life, but the death penalty
is included as an exception. While the percent for capital punishment is high in America the majority
of Americans would rather have the sentencing be life in prison without parole. Even though capital
punishment has been used in the past as a form of punishment the death penalty needs to be
completely abolished in America. The American government needs to enforce different forms of
handling crimes other than capital punishment; insert wording here capital punishment is not effective,
it is more costly than life in prison, and the undertaking of capital punishment is racially biased. To
begin, the death penalty is not nearly effective as a prisoner who has life in prison without parole.
Many prisoners would rather face the death penalty and lose their lives quickly than have to be stuck
inside of a confined building for the rest of their lives never being able to be out in the real world
again. Some prisoners on their way to death row have made it clear that death row sound more
appealing than sitting behind bars for the rest of their lives. The New York Post had a statement

The Industrial Revolution And The French Revolution
The Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution are both integral parts of European history.
Taking place during the late eighteenth century, each molded different parts of Europe and had
different social ramifications. The Industrial Revolution began in the late 1700 s and was the
beginning of new innovations along with manufacturing processes. The French Revolution began
during the year 1789, with two sides of the population fighting either for or against the monarchy. The
French Revolution ended ten years later during the year 1799 with the French overthrowing the
monarchy and starting their own form of government. While both revolutions have had a huge impact
on modern day Europe, the innovations along with the social changes that occurred during the
Industrial Revolution make it more significant than the French Revolution. Before the Industrial
Revolution, Britain was comprised of rural areas where most of the population resided. A lot of their
time revolved around agriculture as a means of survival and as a way to make an income. They also
built and produced most of their clothing, furniture and homes with machines that were simple and
small tools. As time went by, people came up with different ideas and changed the methods in which
they were able to produce agriculture. This led to an increase in food production which was steadily
available to the population that was rising and working factories. These events would become apart of
what would start the Industrial

Jetblue Negative Issues
In 2005, among other major airlines in the United States, JetBlue was known to be one of the highest
in customer service (Argenti, 2017, p. 102). They were ranked the highest because they served and
valued their customers to the best they could, and tried to provide them with the best service during
their flights. JetBlue served their signature Terra Blues potato ships, free satellite television in every
leather seat, legroom, among other attentive services (Argenti, 2017, p. 102). JetBlue had a valuable
reputation; however, all that changed due to deteriorating weather condition.
As mentioned in the reading, due to the deteriorating weather caused at the New York s John F.
Kennedy International Airport, critical constituency issues were arising within JetBlue s customers
and their own employees. More than 250 of its 505 flights daily canceled and had an outcome of 1,200
flights canceled between February 14 and February 19 (Argenti, 2016, p. 105). Because of the
widespread of cancellations, this caused loss of baggage s which enraged customers. However, one of
the biggest errors that caused constituency issue was when JetBlue trapped their customers inside the
plane for over nine hours before they were taken to their terminal (Argenti, 2017, p. 104). These issues
ruin JetBlue s reputation within their potential customers because they now feared that they could lose
their baggage, have their flights canceled or even worse, be trapped inside the plane for numerous of
hours.

Chromosome 15 Deletion
Chromosomes are identified to be found within the nucleus as long thin strands of DNA compiled
together, and arranged from largest to smallest based off their sizes [2]. In addition to this, a typical
chromosome usually contains a short and long arm. However, in a Chromosome 15 deletion, the focus
is within the long arm of the strand where the genetic material becomes lost. A variety of detrimental
effects can arise depending on which portion of the long arm is deleted as well. One type of deletion
called the proximal deletion that arises when the proximal portion which is directly connected to the
centromere, loses genetic material.

ignore this simple fact, the reality is that your shed is too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.
Not sure if this is true, then think about all the times you refused to work in it because of these exact
reasons. Along with temperature, a non ventilated shed leads to a buildup of mildew and chemical
fumes that go a long way towards making you sick. Proper ventilation is the best way to avoid these
problems and many more.
The Problems Associated with Lack of Ventilation
As noted above, there are a number of potentially serious problems associated with not ... Show more

The Stuff in Your Shed: Unless you are a bit odd, you probably use your shed not only as a workspace
but also for storage. Excess heat, cold, and moisture can have a seriously adverse effect on everything
in your shed, ruining much of it. This, of course, will result in your having to spend a fortune
replacing everything that has been damaged.
Your Options for Ventilation
There are a number of different options when it comes to the proper ventilation for your shed. Most of
which can be at least somewhat effective, while others work amazingly well. There are, as you might
expect, several issues you need to take into consideration when trying to decide which type of
ventilation is right for your shed.
It s All about Size
Perhaps one of the most important things you need to think about when trying to decide which of the
different types of shed ventilation is right for you is the size of your shed. For example, a small solar
powered vent might work for a small shed, but would be all but useless in a larger shed. By the same
token, a turbine ventilator is an excellent choice for a large shed but would provide far too much
airflow for a tiny shed.
Is This the Right Choice?
Finding the right type of shed ventilation involves looking at the size of the shed, the materials it is
made from, and what you plan to use it for. At the same time, you need to consider the average high
and low temperatures where

Australian Catholic Social Teaching (CST)
Principles of Catholic Social Thought
Catholic social teaching (CST) or thought are belief or set of belief that is taught or developed by a
catholic church or religious organisations (Australian Catholic Social Justice Council, 2016). It
expresses human dignity as a foundation for the common good in our society to flourish together as
one (Australian Catholic Social Justice Council, 2016). Therefore, this wiki page will explain and
discuss each of nine CST.
Dignity of the Human Person
The principle of human dignity based on catholic social teaching is that every human being is the live
image of a god himself (Australian Catholic Social Justice Council, 2016). therefore, every individual
in our society is worth of respect as a member of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, the individual s responsibility is to take care of the earth they live in. for instance, taking
care of family and friend and others with dignity is a way to show sign of our respect for the god, who
created the earth and the human (Catholic Charities, 2016).
Promotion of Peace
Most commonly heard catholic teaching is about the peace, concept that is action orientated and about
loving others (Catholic Charities, 2016). Promotion of peace involves peace and mutual respects
between people and the nations across the world (Catholic Charities, 2016). Therefore, catholic
teachings have a close relationship between peace and justice. When individuals and nations keep the
peace, society will flourish.
Participation
All individuals have a right to participate in the education, politic, economy and cultural life of society
(Catholic Charities, 2016). It is a fundamental demand of justice system and the requirement for a
human dignity that is assured for everyone in society to participate in the community (Catholic
Charities, 2016). Moreover, it is wrong for someone or group of people to be excluded from
participating social activities, treated unfairly or not be able to participate in society (Catholic
Charities, 2016). When every individual participates in society, it will flourish.

Student Athlete Scholarship Essay
Many student athletes at Kennedy have played a sport throughout all four years in high school, and
many don t plan to continue their experience after they graduate. Towards the end of high school,
student athletes are faced with the dilemma where the high school sport they have played, will be
continued in college or parted with. Looking back at your journey as an athlete is a significant step. At
times, athletes have played a sport since they were young and begin to associate who they are with the
sport they are playing. Mastering the ability to juggle both school and athletics is a habit that very few
have been able to do, but when done right, the benefits are endless. According to
Scholarshipstats.com, only a tiny fraction of student athletes make it to the top. For popular sports
such as basketball and baseball the chances of playing Division l are unlikely. There is only a two
percent chance of getting on a college roster as a student athlete, and for those who are looking for a
full ride to a Division 1 program, there is only a one percent chance. ... Show more content on

La Tomatina Research Paper
The holiday, La Tomatina, is a tradition that has gone on for generations. Spain is the main country
that celebrates it every year, but tens of thousands travel from all parts of the world to participate in it.
La Tomatina means tomato festival , and is very self explanatory from its definition. On the last
Wednesday of August, people throw over ripe tomatoes at one another the entire day, leaving people
drenched in tomato carnage, but in utter happiness as well. In all, more than 100 metric tons of
tomatoes are used in the festival! It is quite questionable of how such a holiday came to be. It was
back in the mid 1900s that La Tomatina began to be celebrated by the people of Spain. In the October
of 1944, another Spanish festival, Gigantes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As most would have assumed, tomatoes are eaten during the festival and are prepared in many ways
(simmered, fresh, crushed). Tomato sauce is also served with entrees such as eggs or any kind of meat.
There are even paella cooking contests, and a palo jabón , an event in which brave participants climb a
greased wooden pole all the way to the top, where there will be a leg of ham. The street fight with
tomatoes will only begin after these two events. There are some specific rules to follow when having a
gigantic food fight with tomatoes. For one, objects cannot be thrown that could cause harm to others.
This includes the tomatoes, which may only be thrown if they are soft or crushed. People during the
festival wear rugged and/or dirty clothing, and another rule states people cannot tear or rip clothing to
throw tomatoes at someone. Despite the number of rules that need to be followed, the festival is still
very fun. The food fight occurs between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. At the beginning of the food fight,
trucks haul all the tomatoes into the town, which are paid for at an inexpensive price. The firing of
water cannons signals the beginning of the festival, which is typically every man for himself . After a
few hours, the festival will end and no tomatoes can be thrown. As this point, fire trucks spray down
the streets to clean them. The people, unsurprisingly, quickly go to wash themselves (there

Palm Oil Industry and Its Effects on the Indigenous...
Rainforests are the most diverse biomes on the earth. The rainforest house many different species and
support the lives of the indigenous tribes who depend on the forests for habitat, food, and way of life.
The palm oil companies are spreading to many parts of the world, taking out regions of the forest in
order to make room for their palm oil plantations. Palm oil is found in 50% of products we use every
day from items like shampoo and conditioner to the food we eat (Rainforest Rescue 2013). If the rain

The trees naturally filter out all the dirt and sand and particles that are unwanted in your water. If the
forest is depleted much more effort will have to be put into making the water clean, which is easy in a
wealthy society but not for the tribes. They don t have a water treatment system. Also, the treatment of
palm oil plants can affect the fish living in the streams. According to John Ashley, the managers of
these plantations apply very toxic pesticides to these plants which gets into the water kills the fish and
contaminates the drinking water for the locals. This water contamination has caused the locals to get
sick as they drink and use the water for cooking. The most dangerous pesticides being applied are
Endrin, Aldrin, Dieldrin, and Parathion. ... Eating game contaminated by Endrin has been known to

Don Delillo s White Noise
Why is naming things so hard for humans to do? Why does it matter? What difference does a name
make? These are all questions raised in Don DeLillo s White Noise. This novel teaches how to deal
with these uncertainties in many different ways. This postmodern take on the human race and their
reality of the world discusses why the naming of things has such a high impact. DeLillo suggests this
matters because it all comes back to simulacrum, perspective, and questions the reality of these things
due to all the different perspectives. The truth is reality does not change, reality stays the same; it is
simply perspective. Ultimately White Noise allows readers to ponder on the problem of naming and
evaluate solutions to the world of uncertainty. DeLillo uses this postmodern setting to argue that the
problem is not the name of something, it is how the name effects people s perspective and reminds
them that despite the name there is no access to the absolute truth. These given titles and names
engender a certain aura and disposition for themselves that cause either excitement or disappointment.

barn in America (12). Neither had ever visited here before, but because of the name most

Analysis Of The Movie I Have Just Watched Citizen Kane ...
Hello, I have just watched Citizen Kane. I did not particularly like this movie, however, I would
recommend that anyone who is an old movies buff should see it. The movie was produced by Orson
Welles, who also played one of the main characters. Orson Welles played the role of Charles Foster
Kane. Kane s friend, Jedediah Leland was played by Joseph Cotten. Charles s second wife, Susan
Alexander Kane, was played by Dorothy Comingore. Walter Thatcher, Kane s guardian after his
mother came into some money, was played by George Coul. And last but not least, Jerry Thompson,
played by William Alland, the reporter who went around to interview Kane s former friends and
employees in an attempt to unveil who, or what, Rosebud was.
Citizen Kane is about a man by the name Charles Foster Kane. Mr. Kane was a famous and once
influential newspaper publisher. The movie starts with a newsreel depicting a lengthy obituary with an
overview of Kane s colorful life and career and introduced some of the more important people and
events that occurred in Kane s life. The producer of the newsreel told the reporters that he was not
happy with the film because it merely recounted Kane s life, instead of revealing who Kane truly was.
The producer noted that Kane s last word was Rosebud and wondered if that may hold the key to Kane
s character. He decided to stall the newsreel release and sent a reporter, Jerry Thompson, to talk to
Kane s former associates to try to uncover the identity of Rosebud.

Heme Iron Research Paper
Iron carries oxygen to cells, tissues and organs. Red meats, such as hamburger, are some of the best
sources of heme iron. Heme iron is found only in animal based foods, is highly bioavailable and easy
for your body to utilize. Your body absorbs as much as 35 percent of the heme iron you get from meat,
versus only two to 20 percent of nonheme iron from plant based foods, according to the Office of
Dietary Supplements. Adult men need eight milligrams of iron each day, while women require 18
milligrams. Pregnant women are recommended to intake up to 27 milligrams, and breastfeeding moms
need nine milligrams. Four ounces of 90 percent lean broiled hamburger meat have more than three
milligrams of iron.
Proper Red Blood Cell Functions
Vitamin B 12 is essential for the production of new red blood cells. Without adequate B 12, red blood
cells form abnormal shapes, resulting in decreased oxygen delivery throughout your body. Adults of
both genders need 2.4 micrograms of B 12 each day. In some cases, women may need more. During
pregnancy, you need 2.6 micrograms each day, which increases further to 2.8 micrograms if
breastfeeding. A four ounce broiled hamburger patty provides nearly three micrograms of vitamin B
12, helping you meet your daily recommendation from one meal.

The Convention And Event Planning Industry
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the industry will be adding at least 31,000 new jobs
between 2010 and 2020, a faster than average growth rate of 44% ( Fun ). The convention and event
planning industry is not an industry that quickly comes to mind when one thinks of employment
groups. The studies shows that the convention and event planning is time consuming but this
particular caterogy of business will later help the business industry. The process of creating a
successful convention takes time and effort. In the process of planning a convention, it must have a
vision and layout of the event. To organize an event one must first answer the questions of; who, what,
when, where, and why. This allows the event coordinator to openly express the principles for any
ceremony. Finding the who of the convention is fairly easy. Figure out who will be the audience and
who is on the program guide to run the Convention. As for what the convention will need to see what
kind of convention do the staff want to plan and the atmosphere for the audience and once they leave
what do the planners want them to take with them from the affair (Bourne) The next stop of the
planning process is when will the event happen. For instance, in the fall or summer. Also where is the
convention location? Find a decent place to feel safe at, to be able to have fun, and learn good
information. The last step is why plan the convention? In the article Convention Planning Begins Here

Imagery In Tasteless By David Sedaris
Imagery and details, diction, and humor are three of David Sedaris most important tools in his writing.
When reading a piece of his, those three things are what jumps out at you right away. His use of
detailed descriptions create vivid images in the readers mind. This helps to tell his story in a clever
and humorous way. In his article, Tasteless , he creates images relating to food and his inability to
taste or appreciate differences between foods. One of his first great uses of imagery and detail comes
when he compares himself to a convict and the way he eats. He first compares himself to a shoveler
and then goes on to say, It s how a prisoner might eat, one arm maneuvering the fork and the other
encircling the plate like a fence (Sedaris

The New Outlook on Vampires
The idea of an undead night stalker that feeds on human blood has been around for centuries and
endures to this day. Numerous countries and cultures across the globe have personal deviations of a
similar folkloric entity. No matter the variation, all vampire tales have a key commonality the lust for
human blood. It was not until the late 19th century that an Irish author compiled a breadth of
knowledge on such folkloric tales and concocted the character that now acts as the template for the
vampire myth. Bram Stoker s Dracula was first published in 1897 and from that point forward the
novelist s title character set the precedent for all fictional vampires. The Evolution of the Vampire in

Dancing Plague Of 1518 Research Paper
The dancing plague of 1518 was a mysterious event that nobody could explain. However we have a
theory. The dancing plague of 1518 was just a huge lie. They most likely had some people dancing at
certain times to keep up the act. Everyone in the town either believed it or was in on the lie. Some
people may believe that the dancers were part of some kind of cult, however if that was the case some
people would have stopped dancing. A few people assume that they must have been threatened to kill
the dancers if they were to stop dancing; but with so many people dancing there must have been at
least one that would have escaped and maybe have spilled the beans. Seeing as nobody ever said that
so happened you can only assume that it was not part of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ergot causes spasms, nausea, vomiting, muscle pain/weakness, numbness, itching, and slower
heartbeat. Ergot grows on wheat and was thought to be part of the plant back then, causing it to be
commonly consumed. During Middle Age ergotism was known as St. Anthony s Fire and was very
common at the time. Some are convinced that the spasms are the cause of the so called dancing.
Although if you were to see so many people having spasms would they all be in the same place, and
even more reason to not include yourself in the idiotic theory is spasms don t appear to look like
dancing and may cause some of the victims to collapse. Therefore our theory is most likely. Anyone
who entered the town and showed signs of telling an authority may have been held captive and or
executed. The reason they would lie is unknown yet the most plausible cause for the mistruth is
simply to toy with citizens, confuse them, possibly distract them from the horrible events or perhaps
even to draw attention from a crime that was taking place. So now you know exactly what happened
in the dancing plague of 1518. Thanks for watching, and make sure to like and

Summary Of How To Paint A Water Lily
The poem How to Paint A Water Lily by Ted Hughes is a beautiful piece of work. Just like a painter
would put very fine details with every stroke of the paintbrush, so does Hughes with each stanza to
build this beautiful poem. Although the poem s title makes the reader think the poem is about a water
lily it is really about the environment around it. Hughes uses personification to describe the scene the
speaker is witnessing in comparison of the water lily.
Ted Hughes used personification throughout the entire poem. Most of the personification in the poem
is based on the world around the flower instead of the actual flower. In the fourth stanza, Hughes
describes the eating habits of the dragonfly by saying,
First observe the air s dragonfly That eats meat, that bullets by.
This means the dragonfly is eating insects that are flying by and is describing the flying insects as
bullets . Another example of personification in the poem is in the thirteenth stanza. The thirteenth
stanza says,
Which, deep in both worlds, can be still,
As a painting, trembling hardly at all.
In this stanza Hughes is describing the still sitting water lily in all of the chaos around it by saying the
flower is not trembling in the water as if nothing is happening at all.
Ted Hughes may not mention the flower many times in the poem but he does mention it at the
beginning and the end. At the beginning of the poem, the speaker starts to describe the leaves on the
bottom of the water lily.

  • 2. The Importance Of Divorce In Arizona The law is riddled with perplexities and seemingly complicated ideas worded in ways that seem purposefully difficult to understand. But when it comes to divorce in Arizona there are a few divorce statutes that you don t need to worry about the ones that talk about grounds for divorce in Arizona. Why is that? Every state set its own divorce laws and divorce statutes. For instance, in Arizona, you can file for divorce as long as one spouse has lived in Arizona for a minimum of 90 days. Additionally, Arizona is what is called a no fault state. That means that either spouse can assert the marriage to be irretrievably broken without either one of them being required to provide a reason for the divorce. In other states, one spouse must request ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to McDonald (2013), Not only do bad hiring decisions drain an organization s budget, they also take a toll on morale, productivity and time. Misfit recruits require significant attention, distracting both managers and team members from focusing on business critical initiatives. For many years, company recruiters and hiring managers had the same tools at their disposal to locate and evaluate job applicants. Finding the right person for a job often was and still is a lengthy and costly process. The payout for selecting the best candidate can be significant, and hiring the wrong person can be costly, yet often mistakes are hard to avoid. The wrong ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She is a woman of strength and perseverance who is willing to make a long trek to town every year to get the necessary medicine for her ill grandson. She has experienced countless events that have allowed her to have a great deal of wisdom. The same is for the phoenix bird who can live up to a thousand years. During these years it is exposed to a large amount of information which they in turn use in their lifetime. The phoenix bird and Phoenix Jackson share similar characteristics with their strength, the fire in their heart, their watchful eye, and their ability to fulfill a greater purpose. Phoenix Jackson embodies and represents the phoenix bird. Phoenix Jackson s mission is to get the medicine that her grandson desperately needs. • 5. Global Expansion WFM is trying to develop a strategic plan to grow their business in an extremely competitive market. They are searching for ways to sustain their strong financial and cultural capabilities without losing revenue. Societal trends are shifting towards a healthier and environmental lifestyle, which is substantially affecting the food retail industry. To keep up with these societal trends, grocery stores are incorporating organic and healthier food products into the stores. This poses as a threat towards WFM, as their value proposition is substantially losing its worth. WFM must assess the company from an internal and external perspective in order to determine if expanding their locations into Canada will be worthwhile. There is a variety of risks that the company must assess prior to implementation. If WFM decides to expand through a slow process, there is a possibility of their competition dominating the industry. In addition, WFM must understand that this expansion will require extensive capital and a new logistic/distribution strategy. The plan that WFM decides to instill must keep their current organizational culture consistent. • 6. Differences Between Nature Vs Nurture Essay Throughout this paper, we will be comparing similarities and differences between our seven members based on the Big Five Inventory test results to our Zodiac sign attributes. Each member of Psychology 101 Group 14 was required to take the OCEAN Big Personality Quiz, and then compare the results to the other members of the team. Then after looking at the results individual members compared their scores to their Zodiac signs to see if they could identify similarities. To begin, while looking at our comparatives scores of the OCEAN Big 5 Personality quizzes, we found that a few group members were similar, although there was many differences in the group too. For example, Gabe and Damon were similar in Openness, with a score of 41 and 35 respectively. On the other hand, Socoro and Vivianna were outliers in the group, with Vivianna having a score of 5, and Socoro with a score of 59. We believe while the scores are closely related, our reasons for being close together in Openness value more shows the debate between nature vs nurture. Gabe s belief on being in the 35th percentile is how he was raised throughout his family environment similar to Kaitlyn in the 41st percentile, while Damon s belief for being in the 41st percentile was more so being born into the statistic rather than recalling any events that contributed to his score. Rachael scored in the 16th percentile, which indicates a preference of a more regular schedule. She believes that this is because of how she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Examples Of Dystopia In 1984 Dystopia and Science Fiction A dystopia is a imagined universe in which oppressive societal control and the illusion of a perfect society are maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control. Dystopias, through an exaggerated worst case scenario, make a criticism about a current trend, societal norm, or political system. Some of the traits in a dystopian character is that the character feels that something s wrong. Also, if the character question the society and political system. In 1984 the main character Winston starts by walking down a hallway and sees a big poster with a face on it and the words Big Brothers is Watching You. These values were questioned when Winston noticed that a helicopter was spying on people through the windows. In the far distance a helicopter skimmed down between the roofs, hovered for an instant like a bluebottle, and darted away again with matter, however. Only the Thought Police mattered (Orwell 4). The government spies on people to make sure there not doing anything illegal. Winston challenged the authorities by writing in a book when he knows if he gets caught he would be punished. The thing that he was about to do was to open a diary. This was not illegal (nothing was illegal, since there were no longer any laws), but if detected it was reasonably certain that it would be punished by death, or at least by twenty five years in a forced labour camp (9). This shows that Winston is challenging the authorities because he s writing in a book and knows that if he gets caught that he could possibly die. The author was trying to say about the darkside of technology is that the more it improves the essayer the government can spy on people. This can be shown today because when a person posts something on the internet everyone can see it. I think that it is good that the government has a good control on people so we are safe but if they have too much power the people won t have any freedom. Thesis Statement On Occupational Stress This thesis explores the area of occupational stress at a well known construction company in Sweden, by interviewing employees about their views and perceptions of causes and effects of job stress and what areas that calls for improvement. To get a broader picture of the employee perceptions, an employee survey was sent out to a larger group of employees working in the Gothenburg area. It is clear that construction personnel suffer from a high level of occupational stress. A difference was spotted between those who work on site, compared to those working at the office. It may increase mistakes and safety risks through miscommunication and lack of knowledge of how certain tasks should be performed accurately. It is clear that construction projects depend on the employees knowledge and skills in planning and executing the work, but as mentioned, it is increasingly difficult to find those people. Moreover, this makes it increasingly important to sufficiently train newly hired employees, as they are a necessity in current projects. It was notified that newly hired personnel may not receive adequate training at all times, as experienced individuals do not always feel they have time to take care of them properly. This in turn, could be seen as very harmful to the business, as it may take longer time for them to learn, but the company may also lose those individuals to competitors or even other ... • 9. Essay On Xoxy Paine Created to help grow recognition of the Museum, the project of Modern Sculpture Initiative collected identifiable sculptures in the Kansas City Sculpture Park at the Nelson Atkins Museum (Paine 15). This park holds pieces from Henry Moore and the duo Claes Oldenburg and Coosje Van Bruggen. As a gift to retired Martin Friedman, who was the advisor of the Modern Sculpture Initiative and director of the Walker, he got to commission a work by the artist of his choosing (Roxy Paine s), 2010). With help from the Hall Family Foundation, a dendroid installation called Ferment by Roxy Paine was the newest addition in 2011 (Paine 17). Since Paine has 24 dendroid sculptures spread across North America, it is an honor to have one that gave excitement and quality to the park (Roxy Paine s, 2010). Curator Jan Schall expressed, Roxy Paine is one of the most important young sculptors today. Ferment will be the reigning monarch on that hillside. The films Coming to America by John Landis and The Gods Must Be Crazy by Jamie Uys have similarities and differences according to the meaning of Africa. The similarities of these films are the use of the current English language, religion, comedy relief, traditions, and interpretation of Africans single story . The differences of these films are the time period, locations, clothing, articulation, and reputation. The cultural productions of Coming to America and The Gods Must Be Crazy can be compared and contrasted because both films exhibit a relationship that depicts how we think about Africa not as a place, but as people as a whole in the modern world. The depiction of the movie Coming to America and The God Must Be Crazy can be compared and contrasted on the films locations. In Coming to America Prince Akeem Joffer is from the nation of Zamunda, which is a fictional location. This location is only seen in the beginning and end of the film. The nation of Zamunda depicts the idea of Africa as a land of substantial wealth. In addition, Africa as people has the highest level of status and rights like having arranged marriages. • 13. Amelia s Grief In The Babadody The Babadook is an Australian made film created, and directed by Jennifer Kent. The film was released in two thousand fourteen, and rated a seven out of ten by movie critics. The Babadook follows single parent, Amelia, who loses her husband in a car accident at the beginning of the movie on the way to give birth to their son Samuel. Amelia and Samuel are both struggling to cope with his death. Samuel has begun to misbehave in school, and has discovered an imaginary monster friend whom is quite often troublesome. One night Amelia reads Samuel a nighttime story named Mister Babadook. Every since they read the book, it seems as if the monster has come alive, and mysterious things have been happening to the two of them. The Babadook has started to inhibit Amelia and Samuels lives. Depression manipulates people s lives, and in this film, The Babadook symbolizes a living form of Amelia s grief due to her husband s death. The Babadook is a metaphor for the Amelia s grief, therefore making it a monster. Grief in the instance of Amelia s life represents a nontraditional monster. Grief is not literally a monster, but at the same time it is because it is very scary, makes you uncomfortable, and hard to get away from. It is almost impossible for a person to escape grief because it is a natural response to any situation that makes you feel miserable. • 14. The Raft Of Flowers By Robert Frost In his poem The Tuft of Flowers, Robert Frost tells the story of a lonely man who is turning grass in a field after a mower has cut it down. Though the man at first believes he is completely alone and that all other people are too, he later reevaluates that position, concluding the opposite that connections exist between everyone and everything and that nobody is ever alone. Frost argues that one is never truly alone as all people are connected to each other. Initially, the speaker in the poem feels lonely and unconnected to the world around him, I must be, as he had been, alone, (ln 8). Frost s use of punctuation is especially interesting in this phrase as he uses a comma immediately before an em dash, enormously exaggerating the pause ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Frost s use of personification in this line is overwhelming, calling attention to the speaker s newly awakened sense of closeness with other people. The speaker, overjoyed to see the tuft of flowers amidst the destruction of the rest of the field, realizes that the mower must have also seen the beauty of the flowers, noting, The mower in the dew had loved them thus,/By leaving them to flourish, not for us (ln 27 28). The speaker understands that the mower had left the flowers for purely selfish reasons, but at the same time, he feels connected to the mower on the basis that they had both recognized and admired the beauty of the flowers. This revelation leads him to conclude that people are connected to each other in both obvious and subtle ways, calling the mower a spirit kindred to my own (ln. 35). Interestingly, lines 9 and 10 are juxtaposed with the last two lines of the poem: Men work together, I told him from the heart,/ Whether they work together or apart (ln 41 42). Not only does the speaker contradict his earlier statement, but Frost also mirrors the wording, the two sentences appearing nearly identical, in order to create a visual representation of the meaning of his words: people are more alike than they are different and therefore bonds exist between all people. Frost also structures the poem in such a way ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was an avid home rule advocate, a leader in the Irish Parliamentary Party, and a devout follower of Charles Parnell. He was jailed several times for his political activity within the home rule cause. In May of 1881, he wrote this letter out of Kilmainham Gaol, where he was imprisoned. Notable prisoners held here were Dillon, Dillon s mentor Charles Stewart Parnell, Robert Emmet, The Invincibles, along with other Home Rule advocates and independence seekers. It was abandoned in 1924 due to aging infrastructure. Interest in its refurbishment began in 1966. Today, the gaol serves as a museum open to the public, operated by the Irish Office of Public Works. In the 1960s, the American Convention on Human rights was created providing a right for life, but the death penalty is included as an exception. While the percent for capital punishment is high in America the majority of Americans would rather have the sentencing be life in prison without parole. • 20. The Industrial Revolution And The French Revolution The Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution are both integral parts of European history. Taking place during the late eighteenth century, each molded different parts of Europe and had different social ramifications. The Industrial Revolution began in the late 1700 s and was the beginning of new innovations along with manufacturing processes. The French Revolution began during the year 1789, with two sides of the population fighting either for or against the monarchy. The French Revolution ended ten years later during the year 1799 with the French overthrowing the monarchy and starting their own form of government. While both revolutions have had a huge impact on modern day Europe, the innovations along with the social changes that occurred during the Industrial Revolution make it more significant than the French Revolution. Before the Industrial Revolution, Britain was comprised of rural areas where most of the population resided. A lot of their time revolved around agriculture as a means of survival and as a way to make an income. They also built and produced most of their clothing, furniture and homes with machines that were simple and small tools. As time went by, people came up with different ideas and changed the methods in which they were able to produce agriculture. This led to an increase in food production which was steadily available to the population that was rising and working factories. These events would become apart of what would start the Industrial ... This novel teaches how to deal with these uncertainties in many different ways. DeLillo suggests this matters because it all comes back to simulacrum, perspective, and questions the reality of these things due to all the different perspectives. Most of the personification in the poem is based on the world around the flower instead of the actual flower. In the fourth stanza, Hughes describes the eating habits of the dragonfly by saying, First observe the air s dragonfly That eats meat, that bullets by. This means the dragonfly is eating insects that are flying by and is describing the flying insects as bullets . Another example of personification in the poem is in the thirteenth stanza. The thirteenth stanza says, Which, deep in both worlds, can be still, As a painting, trembling hardly at all. In this stanza Hughes is describing the still sitting water lily in all of the chaos around it by saying the flower is not trembling in the water as if nothing is happening at all. Ted Hughes may not mention the flower many times in the poem but he does mention it at the beginning and the end. At the beginning of the poem, the speaker starts to describe the leaves on the bottom of the water lily. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
