Shrek the Third and Princess Fiona
. Explain the looking glass theory and self concept as they pertain to Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona,
and Prince Farquar. Your answer needs to address the components of self. In your answer, include how
self concept affects the way that they communicate. Remember that communication includes
cognitive, listening and speaking processes.
According to the looking glass theory, we use others as a mirror to see ourselves and we imagine what
others think of us then include these imaginings in our self concept. In the movie Shrek , the main
character and the hero of the story, Shrek, was always concerned about how he looks and what people
think about his face and outfit. That is why he was shocked when he thought that the princess was

Events that are reframed which causes devaluation of self worth, that changes a person s perspective.
Shrek reflects reframing in the movie several times. In one scene in a conversation with Donkey,
Shrek describes how people runaway from him when they see him which results in isolating himself.
Another scene, when he thought Princess Fiona did hat him because he was ugly. He was sad to think
that everyone used to justify him with his ugly face but none could feel his heart. Shrek was always
trying to hide himself away from the society and he was sick and tired of the social life because
society was unable to judge him in the right way. As a result form the beginning the did not wanted
any friends and lived all alone at the jungle away from the society.
4. Explain need for affection from Donkey and Shrek s perspectives. The need for affection is the fact
that we all need to receive and give love, support, warmth, and intimacy. In the perspective of the
Donkey, it can be seen when he wanted to be the friend of Shrek and in another scene the Donkey was
cooping with the Dragon as a result of his loneliness and need for affection. In Shrek s perspective, his
need for affection was oftten suppressed, but at the end his need for affection drives him to tell
princess Feona how he feels about her.
5.Describe the communication style of Donkey and Shrek. Explain the differences, according to the
source, of

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Selective Breeding
Selective breeding is the process by which humans reproduce other animals and plants of special
features. Typically, strains that are selectively bred are domesticated, and livestock is normally done
by a professional breeder, Livestock animals are known as races, while high plants are known as the
varieties cultigens, or cultivars. The offspring of two purebred animals, but of different races is called
a crossover, and hybrid plants are called hybrids.[1]
There are two approaches or types of artificial selection or selective breeding, The first is the approach
of the breeder in which the traditional breeder or experimenter applies a known quantity of the
selection to a single phenotypic trait, by examining the chosen character and choosing ... Show more

so using a breeding without a scientific technique could cause a decrease the genetic variety, this
decrease in the genetic variety could cause some organisms as plants and animals show an immunity
weakness to certain pathogens, so if some of these plants or animals with the same traits or genes
would be attacked by particular pathogen the entire population of these plants and animals would
certainly suffer and damage, using a scientific analysis and monitoring are definitely needed in order
to have an healthy and successful breeding and ensure that certain species population is not in risk or

Massey-Ferguson Case
Massey Ferguson Case
Advanced Corporate Finance
The Company
Massey Ferguson is a multinational producer of farm machinery, industrial machinery and diesel
engines. The company was formed through a merger between Massey Harris and Harry Fergusson in
1953. They combined their skills to become the West s largest producer of farm tractors and the world
s largest supplier of diesel engines to original equipment manufacturers.
Massey s farm machinery line consists of tractors, several harvesters and other agricultural equipment.
The industrial machinery line consists mostly of several industrial tractors. Diesel engines were

First, the expansion in the 1970s was financed by debt, much of it short term. This was the reason for
its high (short term) debt value ratio. Although this might have been in line with Massey s growth
strategy, it made Massey sensible for the increase in the interest rates. This increase resulted in a
dramatic rise of cost of Massey s short term debt.
Second, Massey had an enormous amount of debt outstanding with more than 100 banks around the
world which resulted in numerous covenants related to these loans. These covenants hindered Massey
s free access to the capital market. Hence, Massey couldn t attract equity to finance the company and
was dependent on loans. Finally, most of the borrowing from banks was unsecured. Because of the
higher risk of unsecured debt, the loans were more expensive. That is, unsecured debt leads to higher
interest rates. Thus this was also a reason for high costs of debt.
Together with the decline in demand in North America and depressed markets in Europe and the Third
World, these high costs of debt and inaccessible capital market formed the cause of the financial
distress Massey went through.

Andrew Carnegie Was Not A Hero
Imagine having all the money you want and still having a ton left over. Andrew Carnegie was a poor
boy who ended up becoming the richest man in america during 1901. He worked himself up in the
Pennsylvania Railroad company and would have been successful there but he was unclear on what he
wanted to do. So he decided to move to New York City where he met Henry Bessemer. Bessemer
taught him how to make steel, so then Carnegie moved back to Pittsburg and set up a steel mill. There
he became a steel king and it caused him to become extremely wealthy. A hero is someone who has
courage, integrity, and a concern for others. There were three reasons Andrew Carnegie was not a hero
and they are he was a hypocrite, did not care about others, and caused others to lose self respect.
One reason Carnegie was not a hero was the things he said did not match his actions. In document A it
shows two houses. One of these houses were his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In document D it shows that Carnegie was lowering wages by 20% while he was just building libraries
with the money that could be going to the hardworking people. Andrew Carnegie did not care about
the people working for him at all or else he would have recognized that they are poor and need all the
money he can give them, instead of taking their money and using it on libraries. Also in document D it
talks about how people working in his steel mill were killed, and was directly related to the violence
within the steel mill. If Carnegie truly cared about these people he would try to calm the violence in
his mill, and he could stop being violent towards them setting a better example. From not giving his
workers their well earned money and setting an example of violence Andrew Carnegie shows that he
does not care about others. This shows that he was not a hero because not caring about these people
that worked for him showed through the death of innocent

I felt that sandals should be associated with tropical vacations for all the rest of us, but that barbed
wire represent hard life of people in those areas of Dominican Republic. I kept questioning myself
who were the people who worn this sandals? Where they slaves that somebody made them wear
barbed wire sandals so they can keep feeling hurt or only locals wore them as a part of some ritual? I
finally realize that those sandals represent life in poverty and eagerness for better life. These sandals
represent people who would be better off if their only problem was wearing this sandals. Their lives
had much more pain than any foot hurt by barbed wire sandal. I had a mixed feelings while looking at
those sandals, remembering my life while growing up in war destroyed country while my parents were
trying to find ways to migrate from Yugoslavia and make my life better. Thank God they succeed, but
there are still marks from barbed wire on our feet and pain is sometimes coming back.

My Brother Sam Is Dead Comparative Essay
Join us! We shall defeat the British! My essay is going to be about comparing and contrasting Colony
of Fear by Lucy Bledsoe. My Brother Sam Is Dead by James Lincoln Collier and Christopher
Collier. The topics that I choose was to compare and contrast the religion, and antagonist. Because they
are the easiest one for me.I choose religion because I knew a lot about it. In order to compare and
contrast the two novels, I will discuss about the interesting book, My Brother Sam Is Dead. The brave
Sam Meaker, wanted to be a rebel soldier and he wanted his father s best rifle, The Brown Bess.Sam
wanted the Brown Bess so he could join the army. But the British soldiers the bad guys, were looking

is the religion in both novels which is Puritans.Puritans believed that their ruler is chosen by god. It
was created by Hendry 8th. The Puritans believed that everything has to be done in moderation. They
were a branch from the catholic church. Henry the 8th was the head of the church of England. They
keep the true divine law. The Puritans also believed that there role of society was to be a chosen
people called to create New Jerusalem. By the same token, in both novel there is the antagonist. The
antagonist are the key to the plot and causes problems to the protagonist. The antagonist for My
Brother Sam Is Dead his Father. The antagonist for Colony of Fear is Reverend Rockmore.Their
similarity is that both of them are sharp and Loyal. Sharp means dress up nicely. Loyal means faithful

When We Were First Introduced This Assignment, I Was Both
When we were first introduced this assignment, I was both excited and nervous. I was excited because
it gave me the opportunity to step of my comfort zone; in addition, I was excited to be able to get out
into the community and practice some of the social work skills that we have learned in class.
However, I was nervous because I knew it would be hard to hear the struggles of a single parent
experiencing homelessness. As someone who was raised by a single parent and almost experienced
homelessness, I know how easy it can be to fall into homelessness. Overall, I was excited about doing
this assignment because I truly did want to hear the stories that single parents experiencing
homelessness wanted to tell.

The reality is that no one chooses to be homeless; therefore, it is important that we try to humanize
people that are facing homelessness because far too often they feel invisible. My thoughts have stayed
the same about homelessness; however, I certainly have started to acknowledge that homelessness is a
very real thing in our society. I also try my hardest to recognize that these individuals are people;
therefore, I now make it a point to at least make eye contact with them on the street.
Social Justice
As I stated before, far too often our society ignores that homelessness is a struggle several people.
Additionally, our society often thinks people choose to be homeless. Terra talked about an incident at a
gas station, and how one of the employees at the gas station said all the people across the street
(Salvation Army) are drunks and addicts. She talked about how upset she gets when people have these
misconceptions about people that are struggling with homelessness. Hearing her talk about this broke
my heart because our society should not shame people for being homeless; instead, we should be
looking at solutions to end homelessness. It is a human right to have basic human needs, yet our
society continually provokes their unjust agenda.
Our society also tends to ignore domestic violence, which is something that my mother and Terra both
faced. Terra could not get any help with service providers because her children and her were not in
immediate danger; although,

All too often, people use products without really paying attention to the ingredients. If a person does
some research, he or she would be absolutely amazed at what they put on or in their bodies on a daily
basis. If a person researches the side effects of the chemicals in the products they use, they would
realize why there is a movement out there to go to more natural products. Some of the most chemical
laden products out there are hair products, such as shampoos and conditioners. There are chemicals in
these products that, over time, can do significant damage to hair. Luckily, there are hair products out
there that use natural ingredients that do a much better job of keeping hair healthy and they often don t
have any of the nasty side effects of the chemicals.

In the context of the period 1763 1865, how far was the American Civil War caused by long term
divisions over the issue of slavery?
In his second inaugural address in March 1865, Abraham Lincoln looked back at the beginning of the
Civil War four years earlier all knew, he said, that slavery was somehow the cause of the war. This
essay will endeavour to discuss the role of long term divisions caused by the slavery debate in the
eventual outbreak of the Civil War. In doing so this analysis will encompass the period between the
birth of the nation beginning with the start of the American Revolution in 1763 and the conclusion of
the Civil War in 1865. This being a period in which the newly independent nation struggled with its

They are antagonistic principles and cannot exist long together one or the other must fall. Slave power
heightened through media influences such as the non abolitionist Cincinnati Daily Commercial
claiming There is such a thing as THE SLAVE POWER encouraged the Northern populace that action
needed to be taken against the South in order to preserve the existence of their personal liberty.
On the other hand, many Southerners like historian Ulrich Bonner Phillips, viewed slavery as a
hierarchic order thus making it wholesome practice. Phillips recalls setting off to school as a young
child and burdened by the prospect that his sable companion was able to play all day long. According
to Hugh Tulloch, the Southerners had evolved a unique form of social relations based on slavery;
whereby the master s role was essentially paternal, without slavery the black would either lapse into
African savagery. It is this view and that of Edward Channing s, the slaves were often happier than
their masters that appears so distorted in comparison to the Northern interpretation on slavery. It was
this that became an important factor in consolidating antislavery sentiment in the North, thus widening
the sectional rift between the North and South. If slavery is not wrong,

He knew moving to Spain was going to add more pressure to him and this is where his rivalry with
Lionel Messi started. While in Real Madrid, he won one Spanish La Liga, one Copa del Rey, and one
Spanish Super Cup. Even though Ronaldo is tall, he has the speed to match with Messi. Since Ronaldo
is a two footer, he can play in both sides of the wings and as a striker and on occasions, midfield.
Messi is a center forward who also plays as a striker and can also play in the wings but not as effective
as Ronaldo. Ronaldo s style is showboating, which shows a variety of ball skills to confuse the
defender, while Messi uses his quickness to get past defenders easily for a quick goal. Putting the
speed and quickness aside, Ronaldo is more deadly during set pieces. He is known for his quick and
powerful free kicks outside the box that doesn t give goalkeepers a chance. He is also taller than Messi
so he has more threat during corner kicks because he can jump high and hit powerful headers. There
are few similarities between Ronaldo and Messi. First is they play in the same league, Spanish La
Liga. They have acquired the same awards in European football such us the Ballon d Or (European
Player of The Year before merging to FIFA Ballon d Or), European Golden Shoe, UEFA Club

The Battle between Passion and Responsibility in Great...
How do passions and desires eight in against duties and responsibilities? It is a personal battle that
many people fight every day. In Great Expectations, young Pip fights this battle with himself. Charles
Dickens portrays Pip as a young lower middle class boy in Victorian Era England. Pip is a blacksmith
to be and early on is satisfied with his life. As Pip s life progresses, he is confronted with opportunities
and situations that challenge his very integrity. Pip is given the ability to pursue his passions, but
perhaps he is given this ability before he developed the responsibility and judgment to use them

The happiness and absolute bliss Pip feels tell the reader that the innocent, kind, Pip from the
beginning of the novel is still somewhere within the new Pip, and seems to be making a comeback. As
Pip thinks about Joe, he sadly proclaims, But, [the] sharpest and deepest pain of all... [was when] I sat
thinking that I had deserted Joe (349). As Pip s fortune dwindles, Pip looks back in retrospect and sees
the horror of the cruelty with which he treated his loved ones. Pip s passions begin to be outweighed
by his responsibilities as Pip matures into an adult, showing the growth Pip experienced as a person.
Pip s fortune, which once fueled his passions, faded, and, almost like a lifting fog, revealed to Pip the
error of his ways and path to personal redemption. In the end, Pip was able to shake of his juvenile
desire and act responsibly. The growth Pip experienced as he broke free of the chains of Satis House
and Estella is immense and life changing. Pip finally realizes the appalling behaviors he has shown to
those that gave him nothing but love. As a pensive pip states, ...The inaptitude had never been in [Joe]
at all, but it had been in me (516). When Pip loses his status and wealth, he realized that they were just
material things, and never as important as he thought they were. Pip s fight with passion and

Sarcasm And The Food Industry
Thanksgiving is a time when all my worries melt away and an illusionary warmth engulfs my very

aside from Christmas that is greeted with such a feast. It is a means for all of us to gather, give thanks,
and enjoy life s little things. Or rather, the things that seem little to us while remaining quite a thing to
behold in the shadows of one s own mind. It would be truly a sin to pry away the shelter that encases a
sad reality about the meal bestowed upon us. It does not come with surprise that my ever expanding

For this reason I never even so much as remember the radical thoughts I have been introduced to
throughout various sources damning the food industry. I know for a fact that I have read many articles
that show aspects that make it fairly reasonable to condemn the industry for practices being somewhat
demeaning for animals and humans alike. Not to mention the environmentalists that are pointing
fingers every which way when it comes to the artificially made products, animal and plant alike.
Albeit some of those articles have been rather one sided in comprehending the significance of the
field, they have had valuable information for their side of the argument. But I digress, I do not take
into consideration all of these outside factors because I have never dealt with the process of the
product. I do not fully appreciate the food that is placed on the table more for the thoughts I have
buried deep during the time of consumption. I do not remember why I need to appreciate it more. To
have the knowledge and be able to cast it aside so easily is either a curse or a blessing...if I remember
it I would never want to eat what is set before me. And if I do not remember it, I am showing much
disrespect for everything that goes into processed foods. I do not condone animal cruelty and I have
no viewpoint on the environment because I have a feeling there are about twenty times more things
that are occurring to ravage the earth in the background that are not being discussed. I agree with Peter
Singer s philosophy that we need to understand nature and develop the best theories we can to explain
why things are as they are, because only in that way can we work out what the consequences of our
actions are likely to be; but it would be a serious mistake to assume that natural ways of doing things
are incapable of improvements (Singer

Importance Of Expressive Communication In The Jewish Culture
Expressive communication is a common trend among Jews, as well as being very verbal in how and
what they are feeling. Humor is also a frequent method of communication among the Jewish people.
Humor will be used in a way that makes fun of themselves. Though they can make jokes toward
themselves and other Jews, jokes from non Jews about Jews are not usually accepted or appreciated
(Schwartz, 2004). Elderly Jews towards the end of their life can come across as chronic complainers.
It is just important to remember that expressiveness about how and what they are feeling is part of the
culture. It may take some time a and patience to determine and assess pain levels due to their
outspoken complaints (Schwartz, 2004). Space within the Jewish Culture Some Jews are more
sensitive to space than other types. Orthodox Jews are very conscientious when it comes to personal
space, especially when dealing with the opposite sex. Orthodox Jews, both men and women, will often
not shake the hand of the opposite sex. This comes from the Code of Jewish Law, forbidding a man to
smell the scent of a strange women, to look upon her hair, or even to look at her pinky finger
(Schwartz, 2004). Older Jewish members and those who are nearing the end stages of life, will often
want to have family and other Jews close by. For example, if there are multiple Jews in a nursing
home, they would prefer to live in close proximity to each other just because of that Jewish connection

The Difference Between Copy And Simulacrum
The following essay will explain the differences between exhibition and cult value as discussed by
Walter Benjamin s: The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction (1995). This will aid in
discussing how the relationship between cult and exhibition value result in the loss of the aura of
authenticity and the aura of uniqueness in reproduced works of art. It will define the concept of
simulacrum according to Michael Camille s Simulacrum. The essay will also explain Jean Baudrillard
s understanding of the lack of the real in contemporary society, how simulacrum threatens the
modernist and the postmodernist notions of the real and how these postmodern strategies are no longer
relevant. The Loss of the Aura Cult value refers to the ritual aspect of looking at an artwork and why

While the copy is seen second to the model the original only imitating it, simulacrum destroys this
hierarchy entirely (Camille 1996:33). The copy is related to the original, it is based on something
which exists, whereas the simulacrum is like the original, but it s not (Camille 1996:32). Although we
recognise it as realistic it bears little resemblance to reality and the physical world in which we live
(Camille 1996:32). One of the most important differences between a copy and simulacrum is that the
copy is filled with the resemblance whilst the simulacrum lacks resemblance (Hart 2004:53). The
existence of an original is what enables the sense of authenticity, if there is no original there is no

Summary Of Are We Too Casual About Nuclear Arms Threat By...
Are we too casual about nuclear arms threat? by John M. Crisp. The genre is an editorial (January
3,2017). Crisp shows that people are too nonchalant about nuclear weapons and their dangerous
effects because of their daily lives and work which do not allow for them to worry about these threats
through the use of rhetorical appeals. The earth already suffers from the climate change, yet the
American people still ignore the history of what happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki and all the
damages U.S inflicted. Countries yet race to develop plentiful nuclear weapons that are having
conflict with other countries. Crisp appeals to logos by utilizing factual information such as the effects
of climate change inflicted by nuclear bombs. The author

Essay On Jim Crow
The negative stance of separated but equal laws in the South kept blacks bound to oppression and
despair. In addition, for black communities, separated but equal doctrine, represents bias, racism, and
inequality. Meanwhile, In the eyes of whites, it was considered a crime for blacks to fight for equality
against their former slave owners. Blacks were forced to protest through civil right movements,
demanding equality and justice. The treatment from white southern were so horrific, the struggle for
freedom, claimed many black s lives. But, Supreme Court answered to abolish this unconstitutional
separate but equal doctrine. However, according to the ACLU, this Jim Crow concept is used among
inmates incarcerated in the Los Angeles county jail facilities. The notion that, these inmates are not
willing to integrate among each other is an empirical flawed argument. In the meantime, a temporal
system called TRESS illustrates, the separate but equal, expected to deterrent violence inmates from
destructive behaviors. But in reality, it only recreated a society of racism within the jail system. These
rules are Jim Crow old black codes law from the south. Laws restricted blacks in numerous ways, to
ensure that freed blacks would retain the servitude they experienced under slavery. These legal
provisions likewise ensured that blacks would continue to supply cheap labor and perpetuate white
economic domination. Therefore, TRESS is one of the most modern

Essay on Computer Crimes
Computer Crimes
Computer crimes are on the rise 1 in 10 Americans experience some form of a malicious attack on
their computer system. If you pay attention to the rest of this speech you will understand how a
Hackers mind works and how to defend yourself from them. In this speech I will tell you why and
how people break into computers, what sorts of trouble they cause, and what kind of punishment lie
ahead for them if caught.
Hackers and Crackers break into computer systems for any of a wide variety of reasons. Many groups
break into computers for capital gain while still others do it as a means to pass time at work or at
school. For most it s a thrill to figure out how to break into a computer. Most people never have any ...

Another way that Hackers cause trouble is by altering the telephone switching networks at MCI, AT T,
and Sprint. By doing this they are able to listen to any conversation they choose. Often times they will
listen in on the Police and
FBI communicating with each other. This allows them to move to a new location before they are
found. Some Hackers use their knowledge of the telephone system to turn their enemies home
telephone into a virtual pay phone that asks for quarters whenever you take the phone off the hook.
A person to commits a computer crime in caught will very likely face a substantial punishment. Often
these types of criminals are never caught unless they really screw up. The most wanted Hacker Kevin
Mitinick was tracked down and arrested after he broke into a computer that belonged to a Japanese
security professional. After this man noticed that someone had gotten into his computer he dedicated
the rest of his life to tracking down this one man. Kevin was able to say one step ahead of police for
some time but the fatal mistake that he made was leaving a voice mail message on a computer
bragging about the fact that he thought he was unstoppable. When he was arrested he faced a 250,000
dollar fine, 900 hours community service, and a 10 year jail sentence. Many schools and small
businesses still don t have a clue about how to deal with computer crimes and the like whenever they
happen to strike.

Euro/USD Exchange rate

Exchange Rate
The exchange rate between countries determines one currency s strength in comparison to another.
These rates also oversee the economic growth and the currency purchasing power of countries.
Therefore, exchange rates are vital in ensuring that one country can maintain its value versus the US
dollar which is the most dominant currency. Currently, the Euro/USD exchange rate is at 1.0666. This
paper strives to give clear predictions on the value of the Euro against the USD short term and long

It is unlikely for the Euro to gain stability based on the current market movement and expected market
movement in the next three months. With fed intervention, it is expected to see the Euro/USD
exchange rate rise to 1.05, (Eurorateforecast.com, 2015). The Euro is expected to continue declining
for the next three months and even in the foreseeable future. The declining rate has enabled currencies
such as USD and Sterling Pounds to make gains against the Euro in a very substantial manner. The
declining rate of the Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to follow the trend outlined below in the
next three months. The Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to fall to 1.07 in a period of one month
and then to 1.05 in three months. The latter will see the USD gain strength against the Euro, (Bank,
2015). The strength of Euro mainly depends on the desire of private investors to hold assets in Euros.
The European Central Bank has failed to check the anti inflationary measures that will assist in seeing
the Euro strengthen against the US Dollar. The Central bank has also failed to maintain the price
stability that has facilitated the continued deterioration of the Euro.
The Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to decline further to 0.98 in two years due to the various

Fender Brafield History
In 1954, Leo Fender made many prototypes for guitar he was trying to build. Each prototype had a
various specs added or taken from the guitar. In October of the same year, the Fender Stratocaster
went into full production and still is in production to this day. The Fender Stratocaster has become an
iconic guitar used by famous people like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Buddy Holly, and Ritchie Valens
( Artist ). The Stratocaster is used in many genres of music such as blues, jazz, rock, and country.
Other guitar companies noticed the fame that Fender was making and became producing cheaper

Fender and Squier both use tremolo style bridges. The difference is that Squier produces guitars in
China. They use a type of metal referred as pop metal. The Chinese collect recycled soda cans and
melt it along with a bit of zinc and steel to make it stronger. They cast a mold of the bridge and mass
produce the bridge. With Fender, the tremolo bridge is made out of steel and heavy machinery forms
the bridge. The tuning machines on the head of the guitar are also same but very different. With
Fender, the rotation ratio is 1:18, which is highly accurate and tunes as it turns. For Squier, the ratio
changes to 1:10, which makes it harder to tune because of the more rotations. Most importantly, the
pickups of the guitars are very different. Guitar pickups are a device that picks up vibrations from steel
or nickel strings using magnets and wounded copper wire. This creates a magnetic field and when the
strings move they disturbs the field and changes the current passing through the coils of copper wire.
This current is then flows out the output and amplified with an amplifier (2015). With Fender s
pickups, they use Alnico slug magnets and pure copper with their coils. These pickups have a nice,
clear, and pure tone and sound to them. Squier does not do the same. They use pop metal slugs and
copper with zinc and other conductive metals and glue a magnet at the bottom of the pickup and it
works the same. This will also give you a clear tone but it is not so pure sound. They essentially do the
same job but it is cheaper. Also time is a main factor to this. It takes less time to make an Squier
Stratocaster than it is to make a Fender Stratocaster. This means it is easier to get an Squier and cost

Essay Pope Pius XII s Neutrality
Is it possible for a Pope to be infallible? When one looks at events, such as the Holocaust, the answer
of this question becomes twofold. Were Pope Pius XII s actions an attempt to save the Catholic
Church from persecutions or a lack of understanding of Hitler s ethnic cleansing? Nearly six million
Jews were slaughtered during the Holocaust. When the world became aware of the mass murders that
were taking place in Europe, World War II became a moral obligation rather than a fight for power.
The Allied powers invaded Germany to save Jews and force the Nazis out of power in Germany.
Many Nazi resistance groups, including Catholic groups, aided in the hiding of Jews in Europe.

This encyclical objected to the German government violations of the Reich Concordat and criticized

German question is the most important; I will reserve handling it to myself. He added, Naturally I will

An astute railroad surgeon, witnessing the jostling of sick and wounded civil wars soldiers during

It was during World Wars I II when hospital cars were custom built as military medical transport. Thus

Mao s Last Dancer Belonging
Throughout Li Cunxin s memoir, Mao s Last Dancer, Li immerses the readers into the complex,

communist China, in a commune, going to a Beijing dance Academy, going to Houston and finally
moving to Australia. Through these experiences, culture is portrayed as being both limiting and
liberating. Culture could be limiting because it is was so restrictive because of Mao s rules but it was
also liberating because Chinese people are meant to be loyal to their country and since their country is

1. What is the most interesting event in this book? I think the most riveting part of this book was when
September got to the Lonely Gaol and experienced all the events at the end. Most of the book leads up
to the end, and many things were confusing until then. In the end, everything connected and made
sense, and I love when that happens. The way September made the raft to sail across the sea was
amazing, and the people and things she met were fascinatingly creative. She figured out that the
Marquess was actually Good Queen Mallow by peeling away the plaque and seeing it read Maud
Elizabeth Smythe instead of September and then making the ties between Maud and the Marquess. I
thought that the ending was the most intriguing and spectacular part of the book.
2. What is the major problem in this book? September s journey in this book had many hardships, but
there were actually two that really stood out in my mind. One of the main conflicts was September
going to get the Marquess sword in return for Goodbye s spoon. This was a main conflict because it
was such a big problem for her; she encountered many trials to her friends and her own self. The
second main conflict, which was slightly more significant, came after her first problem. This is where

Poor roads and a limited rail network push up freight costs. High interest rates mean firms must over
spend on financing; high crime adds heavy security costs to their overheads. A terrible education
system makes Brazil the world s second hardest place for firms to find the skills they need, according
to Manpower Group, behind only ageing Japan. Soaring labour costs, which have doubled in a decade
as big hikes to the minimum wage set the tone for pay negotiations across the board, have added a
new ingredient to the old recipe.
Big price differences mean imports are increasingly taking market share from locals and even
Brazilians of relatively modest means have taken to stocking up on foreign shopping trips. A recent
weakening of the currency will give local manufacturers some breathing space, but in the long term
the only solution is to become more efficient. The World Bank s annual report on doing business in a
range of countries reads like a productivity to do list for Brazil: make it simpler to start up and wind

The Labor Relations Act Of The Senate
Introduction Today s economic climate has lost and shed more jobs than ever. Organizations need
unions to survive and a process to keep them. Under the present conditions, unions need to embrace

have already proven their value that works for workers, business, and overall society. Today s
Economic Climate with organizations that unions no longer survive in In the fall of 1934 Senator

under the section 7, it gave employees the right to form and join unions and it obligated employers to
bargain collectively with unions in a selective manner. Although, the future of organized labor in the
economy today looks grim, the unions will have to do whatever it takes to help keep contribute to a
healthy economy. They will have to do use whatever form it takes to help with the decline in private
unions as well. In the past decades, unions have stood to fall by the wayside, due to the contributing
factor of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). They do not adapt to external factors, such as
competition and productivity in the global economy. These factors are a problem for unionism by

The more oxygen flowing through blood and muscle, the better the athlete performs. Any athlete who
uses a performance enhancing drug to deliver more oxygen to their muscles will perform for longer

performance enhancing drugs is simply to stimulate the body (Athletes Drug Use). Athletes constantly
need to keep their body stimulated to simply reduce fatigue, gain assertion, and maintain aggression

With recent school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, policymakers have placed
increased emphasis on violent video games as a probable cause of gun violence. President Donald
Trump, for example, is scheduled to meet with representatives from the video game industry to
discuss the issue with them.
This argument in my opinion all comes down to desensitization of children. At a young age children
are like a block of clay and there early childhood. Everything around them moulds them into who they
are as they grow up. From their parents to movies social media to others at school and the focal point
of controversy at the moment, video games. The genre of video game people put as the culprit are the

Paracetamol Lab Report
The first step in the extraction of paracetamol was to crush the tablets. If I didn t do this then it would
have been difficult to dissolve them. To weigh them, we had to make sure that we used the most

method of filtering. The filter paper could have been too small so the filtrate could have gotten over
the top of the funnel and then we would have had insoluble impurities. Also when doing this, we had
to be careful that none of the filtrate ran down the beaker or we would have lost some yield. The filter

The British Colonies
In the 1400s France, Britain, The Dutch and Span were rapidly expanding their empires globally.
These nations were vigorously looking for new sources of income and resources for their nation. Years
previously, these nations participated in extremely costly wars in Europe. These wars, not only had a
negative effect on their citizens morality, they also depleted the governments fiscal positions. The
solution to this (money) problem was to exploit the resources of the New World by setting up colonies
and territories that could send cheap raw material back to their respected countries to be refined into
finished products that in return could be taken to market. The readings from this semester mainly
focused on the evaluation of the British colonies, this is where my focus will steer you. From the birth
of the British settlements, the colonies have under gone several different economic policies changes.
They first started off as a dependant society, to a society with slaves, to finally settling as slave society
which propelled the once settlers to the brink of a revaluation. The East India Company sponsored
settlements to the new worlds, to all that where willing settle the new world with the promise of
striking it rich form gold as the Spanish where doing in the Caribbean or a large parasol of land. In the
thirteenth century, when the British settlers first arrived on the eastern coast of the new America, it
was late fall with winter fast approaching. That winter was

Your answer needs to address the components of self. In your answer, include how self concept affects the way that they communicate. Remember that communication includes cognitive, listening and speaking processes. According to the looking glass theory, we use others as a mirror to see ourselves and we imagine what others think of us then include these imaginings in our self concept. The offspring of two purebred animals, but of different races is called a crossover, and hybrid plants are called hybrids.[1] There are two approaches or types of artificial selection or selective breeding, The first is the approach of the breeder in which the traditional breeder or experimenter applies a known quantity of the selection to a single phenotypic trait, by examining the chosen character and choosing ... The company was formed through a merger between Massey Harris and Harry Fergusson in 1953. They combined their skills to become the West s largest producer of farm tractors and the world s largest supplier of diesel engines to original equipment manufacturers. First, the expansion in the 1970s was financed by debt, much of it short term. This was the reason for its high (short term) debt value ratio. Although this might have been in line with Massey s growth strategy, it made Massey sensible for the increase in the interest rates. This increase resulted in a dramatic rise of cost of Massey s short term debt. Second, Massey had an enormous amount of debt outstanding with more than 100 banks around the world which resulted in numerous covenants related to these loans. These covenants hindered Massey s free access to the capital market. Hence, Massey couldn t attract equity to finance the company and was dependent on loans. Andrew Carnegie was a poor boy who ended up becoming the richest man in america during 1901. He worked himself up in the Pennsylvania Railroad company and would have been successful there but he was unclear on what he wanted to do. So he decided to move to New York City where he met Henry Bessemer. Bessemer taught him how to make steel, so then Carnegie moved back to Pittsburg and set up a steel mill. There he became a steel king and it caused him to become extremely wealthy. A hero is someone who has courage, integrity, and a concern for others. There were three reasons Andrew Carnegie was not a hero and they are he was a hypocrite, did not care about others, and caused others to lose self respect. With fed intervention, it is expected to see the Euro/USD exchange rate rise to 1.05, (Eurorateforecast.com, 2015). The Euro is expected to continue declining for the next three months and even in the foreseeable future. The declining rate of the Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to follow the trend outlined below in the next three months. The Euro/USD exchange rate is expected to fall to 1.07 in a period of one month and then to 1.05 in three months. The latter will see the USD gain strength against the Euro, (Bank, 2015). The strength of Euro mainly depends on the desire of private investors to hold assets in Euros. The European Central Bank has failed to check the anti inflationary measures that will assist in seeing the Euro strengthen against the US Dollar. • 24. Fender Brafield History In 1954, Leo Fender made many prototypes for guitar he was trying to build. Each prototype had a various specs added or taken from the guitar. In October of the same year, the Fender Stratocaster went into full production and still is in production to this day. The Fender Stratocaster has become an iconic guitar used by famous people like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Buddy Holly, and Ritchie Valens ( Artist ). The Stratocaster is used in many genres of music such as blues, jazz, rock, and country. Other guitar companies noticed the fame that Fender was making and became producing cheaper Stratocaster. Fender and Squier both use tremolo style bridges. The difference is that Squier produces guitars in China. They use a type of metal referred as pop metal. The Chinese collect recycled soda cans and melt it along with a bit of zinc and steel to make it stronger. They cast a mold of the bridge and mass produce the bridge. With Fender, the tremolo bridge is made out of steel and heavy machinery forms the bridge. The tuning machines on the head of the guitar are also same but very different. With Fender, the rotation ratio is 1:18, which is highly accurate and tunes as it turns. For Squier, the ratio changes to 1:10, which makes it harder to tune because of the more rotations. Most importantly, the pickups of the guitars are very different. Guitar pickups are a device that picks up vibrations from steel or nickel strings using magnets and wounded copper wire. This creates a magnetic field and when the strings move they disturbs the field and changes the current passing through the coils of copper wire. This current is then flows out the output and amplified with an amplifier (2015). With Fender s pickups, they use Alnico slug magnets and pure copper with their coils. These pickups have a nice, clear, and pure tone and sound to them. Squier does not do the same. They use pop metal slugs and copper with zinc and other conductive metals and glue a magnet at the bottom of the pickup and it works the same. This will also give you a clear tone but it is not so pure sound. They essentially do the same job but it is cheaper. Also time is a main factor to this. It takes less time to make an Squier Stratocaster than it is to make a Fender Stratocaster. This means it is easier to get an Squier and cost ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Nearly six million Jews were slaughtered during the Holocaust. Most of the book leads up to the end, and many things were confusing until then. In the end, everything connected and made sense, and I love when that happens. The way September made the raft to sail across the sea was amazing, and the people and things she met were fascinatingly creative.
