How Did Buffalo Bill Build Pay
Buffalo Bill was always a hard and extravagant worker. He started working at the age of 11 and he
enjoyed it. But he had always had a passion for adventure, so he finally found a job that involved both;
the Pony Express. The Pony Express was the job that had everything that fascinated him. Buffalo Bill
soon got this job at the age of 14 and what he liked about it was he had already been use to going fast
on horseback, the further you went the more the pay was, and he has always had an appetite for
adventure.
First, Buffalo Bill had always been use to riding on horseback. Ever since he was young he had
always liked to race with them. Also his dream job, was looking for people who had experience with
riders, which had already put him at an advantage. According to the article, The firm undertaking the
enterprise had been busy for some time picking the best ponies to be had for money, and the lightest,
most wiry and most experienced riders. With this job you also had to be fast so you could make a
bigger profit and since he was already use to going fast on horseback, that put him into the higher paid
category. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also the pay of the rider way increased from the distance that the rider had rode. So this means that
Buffalo Bill can do what he loves to do all day and get payed more and more. According to the article,
It was announced that the further a man rode the better would be his pay. And since he likes to ride he
could take the longest trip and complete it within fewer days and within longer miles and get payed
four times his original

Hellenistic Misconceptions
SYNOPTIC COMPARISON OF THE TEXTS
Now that we have uncovered some of the significance of the location of the text both in relation to the
surrounding narratives, and geographically it is time to look at each of the accounts, and how they
compare to one another. The account of the miracle in Mark is the longest, and most detailed of the
three, and I will be exploring it first. Luke s account is very similar to Mark s, and in fact it is believed
that Luke used Mark as the sole source for his account of the story, and simply changed the language
possibly changing the meaning, and focus of the text for his Gospel , so I will look at his narrative
second. Finally Matthew is the shortest, and least detailed account of this narrative containing some ...

In verse 2, and 3 the word μνημείων is used meaning among the tombs . In verse 5 however a different
word is used. μνήμασιν meaning as it is translated simply tomb . Making note of this distinction is
important because if we look at the literal meaning of the translation of the word used in verses 2, and
3 we get a clearer picture of the condition of the demon possessed man. The first word that is used to
describe the tomb emphasizes the fact that the man lived among the dead . I find this linguistic point
interesting because it is an instance where our English language is not adequate to describe what the
author was trying to convey in his text. When we look at the underlying meaning of the two separate
words, and gain a deeper understanding of the underlying meaning of the first we get a more powerful
picture of the circumstances that this demon possessed man was in. Aside from living among the
tombs the man also suffered in other ways due to his demon possession. One example of this is 5:5
Night and day among the tombs and on the mountain he was always howling and bruising himself
with stones. (NRSV) these two examples of the miserable state of the mans life are an illustration of
the power that evil can have over a person . Understanding the extent of the power that the evil demon
had over the man makes the illustration of the power that Jesus has over the demon all the more

The New Employee s Team Leader
Every business whether it is a large organization or a small company needs the leadership. Without
leadership you are without a driving force or strategic direction. Leadership contains multiple
processes which can be taught however I believe true great leaders are built by experience not
education. Leadership skills can be developed.
Communicate mission and goals to the workforce
Clarify objectives, values and standards
Through staff induction we ensure that each of our new employees receive our company handbook
which includes each of these three documents. The new employee s team leader takes the employee
through handbook and given the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback based on each of the
topics. This is done as it forms an instant bond and understanding between the employee and
organization.
Our company s main objective is to expand the business in major cities of Australia. As this is a
renovation company so company will provide a complete service including free designs and quotes,
supply and installation of equipment and fittings. We provide standard quality of products.

The Main Idea Of The Article The Aquinas Inquiry, Is To
The main idea of the article The Aquinas Inquiry, is to explain or kind of conclude what a medieval
philosophers panel would look like and how they would feel about the invasion of Iraq, Tony Blair s
decisions, and Saddam Hussein and determine the reasons. The members of the Aquinas Inquiry have
already developed a set of six criteria which should be met in order for any war to be considered just.
The set of criteria will be used in this article to determine whether or not Tony Blair had just cause.
The author of this article list some of the people he thinks should be on the panel to determine whether
Tony Blair met the criteria for just cause for invading Iraq or not this list includes: St Thomas
Aquinas, Christine de Pisan, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Iraq had not done this . The article suggests that Blair could ve argued that he did it because of 9/11
but without the evidence it could not be proven and he would not have just cause, but the panel could
take it into consideration if Y harmed Y s own people as being just cause. Likely outcome: The panel
initially divides evenly. After a stormy two hour meeting with Alastair Campbell in closed session,
Christine de Pisan leaves in tears and the panel votes 3 0 that Tony Blair did have Just Cause . The
third on the list is Right Intentions meaning that there was nothing to gain out of this, it wasn t for
personal reasons, and going into this there was good intentions. The panel members are on record as
believing that the aim of any war must be the achievement of peace and of the just cause not revenge,
the desire for plunder or the suffering of destruction of the people on the other side . Due to the fact
that Tony did not gain anything nor was there evidence to prove self intentions he had to have the right
intentions. Likely outcome: In the absence of any evidence of self interested motives, the panel would
probably vote that Tony Blair must ve had the right intentions . The fourth on the list is Proportionality
meaning the good had to outweigh the bad. Some of the Aquinas panelists have claimed that for any
war to be just, the anticipated good must outweigh the evil likely to be caused. The actual

How Did Steam Engines Change People s Lives
Steam engines were invented on February 21, 1804 by Richard Trevithick. The locomotives use steam
as a power source. These locomotives use combustible material such as coal, wood, and oil as fuel.
Water and fuel supplies are usually on the locomotive or in a trailer behind it. Steam engines were first
invented in great britain in the 19th century. It was mostly used for railroad transport until about
halfway through the 20th century. In this paper I will explain the history of steam locomotives and
how they changed people s lives and America as a whole. One great completion of the 19th century
was the transcontinental railroad. There are two railroads that make up the railroad, the Central Pacific

Landlord And Tenant Board Observation Report
Landlord and Tenant Board
Introduction:
This report is an observational summary of the Landlord and Tenant Board, located at 3 Robert Speck
Parkway Suite 520 Mississauga, Ontario L47 2G5. Throughout Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 and
Wednesday, January 27th, 2016, the Landlord and Tenant Board held many different cases.
The office building was in close proximity to a public bus stop, which had a route leading directly
from Brampton. The bus schedule operated every 9 minutes, and there were conveniently two
Brampton busses that lead into the location, the 502 and the 103. However if you were going everyday
it would become very costly. If you were someone, with a car, it would be simple to drive from
Brampton to Mississauga. Front entrance parking was easily accessible, but there was a cost for
parking, for the whole day it was $7.00, for an hour $5.25, for 40 minutes $3.50 and for 20 minutes
$1.75. As for the parking, it was more favourable to have your own source of transportation
nonetheless it could become pricey.
The building had front desk with a security guard who was able to direct you to the floor you needed
to go to. The Landlord and Tenant Board was located on the 5th floor, the Board Office had five
separate cubicles with secretaries that were able to help with various questions. The Board Office was
easy to find due to several signs on the wall. Overall, it was clean, quiet and orderly. The staff member
at the counter was very knowledgeable and helpful, at first

Observing Brigadoon Literary Analysis
Brigadoon is a musical book and lyrics written by Alan Jay Lerner. Observing Brigadoon through a
utopian lens paints a better picture of the world during the 1940s and gives a great example to the
unifying impact love has in utopian literature. Through examining three main utopian concepts, both
Brigadoon is proved to be utopian, and love is shown to be the driving utopian connection that draws
the play together. Following the story of two young travelers, Brigadoon tells the tale of a small
Scottish highland village. This village, as the explorers discover, lays under a spell which allows it to
only surfaces once every hundred years. To the villagers, this voyage happens during the night and
there is no change of time within the village boundaries.

Mandrill Morphology
Mandrills, or also known by their scientific name Mandrillus sphinx, live in the rain forests of
equatorial Africa, (San Diego Balboa Zoo, Mandrill exhibit/plaques, 2018). The Mandrill
Morphology: The mandrill has a distinct dental formula of 2:1:2:3, located on the maxilla and
mandible, which categorizes this primate to be in the catarrhine parvorder. All Old World monkeys,
apes, and humans share this very same 2.1.2.3 dental formula. They are well known for their
enormous canine teeth, which can be over 2 inches, roughly 5 centimeters long. Each tooth is vital for
the madrills survival, the pointed canines are used to pierce and tear at fruits or nuts meanwhile the
premolars (or bicuspids) and molars, with their multiple cusps, are used to grind and smash food (The
Primates: Monkeys, 2013). There are very distinct differences between the male and female Mandrills,
especially in this exhibit. An adult male mandrill that has the brightest and most distinctive colors on
his face seems to be most attractive to females...They have thick ridges along the nose that are purple

From previous transactions with the same third party, LOI is never allowed to remove the assets from
the warehouse.
Moreover, there is no sufficient information provided in ASC 410 20 25 10 to determine the fair value
of the ARO due to the uncertainty of LOI to require removing the asbestos. This also applies to two of
the warehouses residing in areas with no laws in place requiring special handling and disposal of the
asbestos on building demolition or renovation. Lastly, the remaining 13 warehouses with asbestos
residing in states with special asbestos handling and disposal laws, LOI has owned and operated for
more than 50 years only incurring just minor renovations and repairs and has no plans in future to
make significant renovations or demolish except for minor repairs and maintenance. The problem with
ARO is the presence of an indeterminate settlement data as in ASC 410 20 25 10.
ASC 410 20 25 10
According to ASC 410 20 25 10, instances may occur in which insufficient information to estimate the
fair value of an asset retirement obligation is available. For example, if an asset has an indeterminate
useful life, sufficient information to estimate a range of potential settlement dates for the obligation
might not be available. In such cases, the liability would be initially recognized in the period in which
sufficient information exists to estimate a range of

The Role Of Cognition When Participating At The Communion...
This paper will critically discuss the role of cognition when participating at the communion table. It
will explore the question, does understanding at a cognitive level play a crucial role in receiving what
the sacraments are conveying? Role of Cognition. Cognition is a term referring to how a person
understands and acts on different issues. These skills are transformed into signals that our brains can
understand, everything from something very simple to something extremely difficult. They are to do
with the means of how we pay attention, listen, remember, work out, learn, and even believe. At every
age people are curious and have a desire to seek and uncover facts. Even though all people are seeking

The Lord Supper was established to help us remember what Christ has done for our salvation. All who
are going to partake of the Lord s supper should examine themselves first and deal with any problems
and difficulties that they have in their hearts and life. The celebration must be set apart from the pagan
festival, and each person must be conscious of what happening as they partake. The Lord supper is an
unsophisticated ceremony, where believers can meet and partake of bread and wine, it is a sacred act
of thanksgiving communion and remembrance. Furthermore, it is a sacrament that should be received
repeatedly where continuing fellowship with God and his people can be obtained. As we participate in
the Lord s supper then the past becomes the present and we are sharing in the once and for all sacrifice
of Calvary but that is not all it is also predicting the future fulfilment of Christ returning. The
significance of cognitive awareness in connection with receiving what the sacrament is conveying can
be seen in the numerous ways that Christians have understood the rituals. Throughout history, between
the different Christians denominations there has been much dispute over the different understandings
of the Lord s supper. The two statements that have caused major problems are in Luke 22:17 22 where
Christ declared to the Apostles Do this in Remembrance of Me , and in Mark 14:26 29 where Christ
states that his body is the

How Did Nero Unstable Rule
Itoro Abasi Udo Imeh
Mr. Pugh
Period 7
Nero: A Powerful yet Unstable Ruler. Nero was a highly influential Roman leader whose actions
where both positive for the Roman Empire and also abused his power by doing negative actions in
Rome. Nero was born to Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus and Agrippina, the great granddaughter of
Augustus in 37 A.D, with the full name of Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus. He was the last remaining
direct male descendant of Augustus. Nero received a good education and was taught by Seneca. He
studied Greek, philosophy and rhetoric. After Nero s father, Gnaeus died in 48 A.D, his mother
married her uncle, Claudius who at the time was the emperor. She manipulated Claudius to make Nero
his successor instead of his son Britannicus, as well as give Nero his daughter, Octavia s hand in
marriage in 50 A.D. In 54 A.D Claudius died, and Agrippina was suspected to have poisoned him.
Nero took the throne soon after. Nero claimed that Britannicus had an epileptic seizure which caused
his death, but historians believe that Nero poisoned him to get rid of competition.

The senators wanted each of themselves to be the Emperor of Rome. In a short span of time six
different men took the throne and the title of the Roman Emperor. All had to step down, because they

What Does Something Mean To You Essay
In society, we tend to anticipate one s possibilities to the greatest extent. As Henry David Thoreau
stated, One is not born into the world to do everything, but to do something. I believe my something is
to impact my community by helping those who are either in need of help, or who are in quest for
clarification.
This journey will not be a easy task, but I am determined with ambition and dedication to helping
those who seek guidance. The smallest gestures can have the most significant influence on someone s
life whether it means helping a student with their homework, or gathering ideas for a group project.
The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don t wait for good things to happen
to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will
fill yourself with hope, as stated by our President. Acknowledging the difference in one s behavior

Who wouldn t? Thomas thought quietly to himself. When Thomas came through the doorway of the

dragged them towards a carriage. As they were shoved into the carriage Thomas caught a glimpse of
an American flag with the words Those done wrong, need to be refused. Once they were on the road,
Thomas worried if his parents also were kidnapped. As time stretched on, Thomas found out that one
of the people that got taken was named Isaac. Isaac was a tall teen with dirty blond hair. Isaac decided
to make conversation, Where in the bloody hell are we going! he had a clear voice. One of the guards
that were riding in the back with them yelled Shut up! he slammed his stock of his gun in Isaac s

went to fix it. The only one left looked like he just recently got on the field. Thomas grabbed a stone
and knocked the scrawny boy out. Thomas, Mark, and Isaac sprinted out of the cart they were carried
in. They ran straight into the woods.

Mary Shelly s Frankenstein And The Hidden Self
Knowledge is a distinct gift that is gained through the power of learning from mistakes, progress, and
experience, which is why knowledge is has been proven to be a push for mankind to create and learn
about new things each and every day. Without knowledge, people feel empty, and they feel that way
because they feel useless, and they feel useless because they don t know what to do, and this is what
leads me to believe that texts like Mary Shelly s Frankenstein or Pauline Hopkins of One Blood: or the
Hidden Self can portray, knowledge. They can portray the importance in knowledge because these text
s reveal in many cases why it is extremely important to obtain knowledge no matter the gender or
sexuality of a person or thing. Another great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shows how in Frankenstein a male monster can come to learn things in a much more natural way,
and that he isn t required to be taught like a normal human being would. Moreover, it is also very
important to point out that even though no female monster was created in the end, she would have
been capable of learning everything like the male monster, because in the end knowledge is just a
form of dedication.
To further extend on the book Frankenstein, Shelley it states, My days were spent in close attention,
that I might master the language (128). Further concluding my idea that the monster wants to learn
and by learning or gaining knowledge the monster is becoming more aware of the roles that his own
gender play, thus leading us to later on read that he is demanding a wife to fulfill his roles in the world
just like every other average male would do with a wife. Another great example can be when
Frankenstein was requesting a female companion. In the book it states, You must create a female for
me, with whom I can live in the interchange of those sympathies necessary for my being. This is
important because it shows the role of gender in this book meaning that Frankenstein knows that he
needs a female companion to accompany him in order not to feel lonely in this world of his which is
why he demands a female companion like the average human would. Knowledge in the book of
Frankenstein was used in two ways, to obtain his role back into society with

The Water Crisis In Flint
The water crisis in Flint, Michigan shocked and outraged many Americans. It was true, a simple water
source change from one source to another in the city of Flint turned into a State of Emergency as
declared by the governor. Toxic water from the Flint River had filtered into thousands of homes in the
town near Detroit. Keeping lead out of the drinking water is something modern society view as a
fundamental and common sense action. As such, countless citizens wondered how something like this
could ever happen in the United States. Indeed, the missteps by the city of Flint, Michigan must be
examined in terms of both decision making and chemistry in order to make appropriate adjustments
for the future.

Compare And Contrast China And Buddhism
In the early Eastern Han dynasty in the first century A.D. ruled by Emperor Ming, Buddhism and
Taoism appeared in China as religions for the first time. In first century A.D. China, when Buddhism
and Taoism were introduced as religions, Taoism and Buddhism shared many similar characteristics.
As a result, it was difficult to differentiate between the religions in China during their first years. In
Taoism, the believers follow the Tao or the Way, in which they live their life following nature. In
Buddhism, believers aim to reach Nirvana and end the cycle of rebirths. Buddhism and Taoism share
similarities in practices such as meditation, but have more differences such as in the doctrine.
The Buddhism that appeared in first century China differed from its original form in India. Jiahe Liu,
the author of. Early Buddhism and Taoism in China (A.D. 65 420) states that the Buddhist doctrine
and sutras from the varying periods in India, Went through selection and simplification at Chinese

Essay On Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a day family and friends have a traditional meal including turkey. Thanksgiving is
always held on the fourth Thursday of November every year. It s a very special holiday when
everybody comes together as a family to cook, enjoy, and bless the food, but also to enjoy each other.
In 2015, I had a special Thanksgiving Day dinner that left me full of joy.
On Thanksgiving Day every year, my family and I normally rent a building that s twenty minutes
away from my house. The building is located in Church Point, Louisiana. It is a Community Center at
the park. The inside of the building is huge. It has a kitchen area in the back of the building. Inside of
the kitchen it has a large island and cabinets stuff full of pots, pans, and utensils. We had two long
tables in the back by the kitchen to put the food on. The deejay is placed in the front by the entrance.
Between the kitchen and the deejay were chairs and tables placed for people to eat their food. There
were placed a variety of tables that came in different shapes and colors. As I walked around the
building, I noticed yellow, brown, and orange tables. The chairs had chair covers on them that were
the same colors of yellow, brown, and orange, which are colors that you would see in November that
had different meanings. Yellow is the corn, brown is the turkey and orange is a pumpkin.
As Thanksgiving Day approaches each year slowly, my family and friends are on their way to

Walked with a Zombie, is a tale told in a suspenseful style which incorporates the usage of light and
shadow instead of many special effects to portray a scary, compelling, and engaging story. Val Lewton
described the film a West Indian version of Jan Eyre, with its abnormal first wife, its noble suffering
husband, and its selfless nurse who becomes wife number two. The film is similar to Charlotte Bronte

This excerpt from the book In Cold Blood written by Truman Capote describes a dull, lifeless town.
Holcomb stands on the high wheat plains of Kansas and considered, out there. Capote s view of
Holcomb, Kansas describes a little, insignificant town with little drama. Capote conveys his views of
Holcomb by utilizing imagery and tone. The village of Holcomb stands on the high wheat plains of
western Kansas, a lonesome area that other Kansans call out there. Some seventy miles miles east of
the Colorado border, the countryside, with its hard blue skies and desert clear air. These exercise

The author says there is little to nothing to see and is considered out there. The first four paragraphs
sets the the tone as monotone. Capote describes the town as dull to help the reader understand just
how plain Holcomb is. Capote also says that little drama stops in Holcomb to show just how rare
drama in the area is. The first four paragraphs set the tone as dull, making you wonder why he would
write about such a dull place. Then in paragraph five the tone dramatically changes. The tone shifts
from describing the town as an old deteriorating town to something more lively. When Capote starts
speaking of the school, the tone changes and he views the town in another light. Through Capote s
eyes the town is no longer something to dread but something extraordinary. He calls the people
prosperous and explains the school as a good looking establishment. When he talks about the school
the tone is set that the people of Holcomb care about their future. The tone shifts from a dry boring
town to a great place with plentiful amounts of money and a prosperous place to learn. In the last and
final paragraph the tone shifts one last time to something mysterious. The tone makes it clear that
something bad will likely happen by saying things such as, Until one morning in mid November of

Biological Diversity and the Ways It Can Be Destroyed,...
For my topic I chose to explore biological diversity and ways that it can be destroyed, restored, and
maintained. In class, we were taught that diversity is the number of distinct species of animals, insects,
plants, etc. that are living in a particular area. We found out that diversity is greater in the tropics and
less towards the poles. This is called the Latitude Diversity Gradient and could be due to one or more
of three theories. They are the cradle hypothesis that says the area where species tend to be born is in
the tropical latitudes, the museum hypothesis that says the tropical latitudes provide a better habitat for
species that go extinct in other latitudes, and the destination hypothesis that says species migrate to the

Another example is that species are adapting to the stresses of living in the city, such as high
population density and high heavy metal concentrations in the soil. The last example that was given
was the house mouse and the Norway rat. These are both non native species brought to New York that
are developing a resistance to the warfarin used to try to kill them. (Taking a Walk on New York s
Wild Side) This last example also shows us that introducing non native species can increase diversity.
The problem with that is sometimes those species become invasive species and can have negative
effects on the diversity in an area. This can also happen with non native plants and insects species as
well. Methods of restoring biological diversity were addressed in this lecture too. The presenter said
that the best way to maintain biological diversity is to keep natural area large and undisturbed because
a larger space equals more diversity in species. While there are many projects that are working to
restoring land to wild habitat, this option is not always possible. When building new parks, panels of
experts put a lot of thought into what species would do well if introduced to the area. This includes
animals, plants, birds, trees, insects, etc. They then introduce those species to the park when it is
finished. Many companies are working towards putting green roofs on their company buildings. This

Different Types Of MRSA
MRSA stands for Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus and is a bacteria that causes infectious
open wounds on the skin. MRSA is particularly dangerous because it is resistant to most types of
antibiotics, and is easily transmittable throughout the general public. There are two types of MRSA:
HA MRSA: which is healthcare associated MRSA; and CA MRSA: which is community associated
MRSA. The signs, symptoms, and treatment are all similar between the two different types of MRSA (
MRSA Overview, 1995). While resistant to most antibiotics, there are treatment options, however,
prevention is the most important step.

If the infected wound is mild and has not infected the internal body, antibiotics may not be needed.
The treatment will only include the wound being cut and drained. If the infection is more severe and
antibiotics are needed, there are newer types the can be used. MRSA has been shown to respond well
to drugs such as vancomycin, ceftaroline, and daptomycin. Rarely, a MRSA infection has been shown
to become resistant to vancomycin, and progresses to diseases termed VRSA. If this happens, a
combination of antibiotics will be used. The treatment plan can be more successful if a material
sample is obtained, as the culture can be tested to see which antibiotics it will respond to. The
antibiotics course needs to be completed in full, even if symptoms disappear. If the course is not
completed and the MRSA bacteria is still in the body, the infection is come back and become resistant
to the antibiotics originally used. This is how MRSA becomes more dangerous and less susceptible to
more and more antibiotics throughout time. The prognosis of patients infected with MRSA ranges and
depends on the severity of the infection. If the infection was mild, patients almost always recover full
and obtain 100% of their health back. For infections that advance to deeper infections, for patients that
were infected with H MRSA, or for patients that have other health complications such as diabetes, the
prognosis is not as positive. There

Diphenylamine And Electrolyte Lab Report
Objective: The overall goal of the experiment was to use cyclic voltammetry to characterize the
components of gunshot residue. Specifically, to characterize diphenylamine and copper(II)1. Cyclic
voltammetry is a method of measuring electron transfer through the reduction and oxidation potential
of a compound in solution2. The metal copper and the organic molecule diphenylamine can be
analyzed at the same time with the addition of acetate buffer as a supporting electrolyte. The data from
the voltammeter will be received at different scanning rates in order to examine the electrochemical
behavior. The reactions will be determined to be either electrochemically reversible, irreversible, or
quasi reversible1.
Instruments:
The instrument used was a potentiostat with a glassy carbon working electrode, platinum auxiliary
electrode, and silver/silver chloride reference electrode. This instrument is being used due to its ability
to simultaneously collect data from both diphenylamine and copper with the addition of an acetate
buffer. Microsoft excel was used in order to plot the data and simple calculations1.

Importance of Continuous Improvement in the Success of an...
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MEANS IN THE CONTEXT OF ORGANISATIONAL
SUCCESS
Continuous improvement in a management context signifies a boundless exertion to expose and
eradicate root causes of tribulations. Typically, it engrosses various incremental or diminutive step
developments rather than one overpowering improvement. From a Japanese perception continuous
improvement is the root for their business culture (Cane 1996). Continuous improvement is a
viewpoint, pervading the Japanese culture, which search for developing every aspects correlated to the
change procedure on a current basis. It engages everybody, management and labor, in finding and
eradicating waste in machinery, labor, and materials and making process.
The Japanese word for continuous improvement, kaizen, is frequently used exchangeable with the
word continuous improvement. From the Japanese character kai, signifies change, and the character
Zen, meaning good, taken exactly, it means improvement. Even if kaizen is a Japanese notion, various
U.S. firms taken it with significant achievement by uniting the finest of traditional Japanese practices
with the strengths of Western industry practice, in other terms, by merging the profit of teamwork with
the creativeness of the individual (Flint 2004). Some refer to its execution in the West as lean
manufacturing since then, when joint with the doctrine of just in time (JIT), kaizen or continuous
improvement shapes the groundwork for notion of lean manufacturing.

At the ceremony, Alex barges in and stops it. This can be seen when Horowitz describes Alex shooting

The benefits of a motivated staff should prove an impetus to managers to use motivation as a driving

managers who are effective at motivating their direct reports reap the reward of employees who can

329). Equity gives employees the sense of fairness in the workplace. A perceived inequity may result
in decreased productivity and a sense of dissatisfaction in the workplace. An equitable workplace
shows increased productivity, decreased absenteeism, and less staff turnover. Equity theory in the
workplace shows greatly in matters of wages (Sweeney, 1990).
Goal Setting Theory Theory Description Goal setting theory developed in the 1960s and 1970s by
Gary Latham and Edwin Locke promotes the notion that if a manager provides an employee with
specific, challenging goals the worker tended to outperform a worker assigned a vague, non specific
goal such as do the best you can. This theory relies on the manager s awareness of the skill level and
abilities of all employees (Borkowski, 2005).
Goal Setting Theory in the Workplace The concept of the goal setting theory necessitates planning in
advance by management after a thorough thought process of the goal needing to be met and the
resources, including employees, available to assist in the goal achievement. The three steps required
by the goal setting theory, goal setting, goal commitment, and support elements, need careful
consideration by the manager (Borkowski, 2005). Goals need the characteristics of specificity and
measurability. As employees perform the different levels of self confidence, the goals set by
management must show attainability by the employee in accordance with the

Similarities Between The Male Lion And The Queen Of The...
King of the Jungle or Queen of the Jungle? The male lion is known to be the king of the jungle, but is
he the one in charge? It is common in many animal species that the female is the dominant sex. It is
also common for the female to be deadlier than the male. The female could contain more venom or the
female could be more adept to kill than the male. An example of the female being deadlier is lions.
The lioness does more hunting than the male and is said to be deadlier. Hickens posed the question in
his essay what makes the female deadlier than the male in reference to humans. When comparing the
lioness to the human female, one would find numerous similarities. Considering the nickname of the
lioness as the Queen of the Jungle, the female human could be dubbed Queen of the Countryside. The
deadly lioness shares many of the same characteristics with the female human. The lioness differs
physically from that of the male lion, much in the way that a female human being differs from a male.
The female lion is typically smaller and has less muscle. While the male lion is typically ten feet long,
the female is usually only nine feet long. However, both of the lions are only about four feet tall on all
four legs. Another main difference between the lions is that the male possesses a flowing mane and the
female does not. While the female and male lion look different, the typical female and male human
look different as well. The typical female human has physical traits that

Buffalo Bill soon got this job at the age of 14 and what he liked about it was he had already been use to going fast on horseback, the further you went the more the pay was, and he has always had an appetite for adventure. First, Buffalo Bill had always been use to riding on horseback. Ever since he was young he had always liked to race with them. • 3. Hellenistic Misconceptions SYNOPTIC COMPARISON OF THE TEXTS Now that we have uncovered some of the significance of the location of the text both in relation to the surrounding narratives, and geographically it is time to look at each of the accounts, and how they compare to one another. The account of the miracle in Mark is the longest, and most detailed of the three, and I will be exploring it first. Luke s account is very similar to Mark s, and in fact it is believed that Luke used Mark as the sole source for his account of the story, and simply changed the language possibly changing the meaning, and focus of the text for his Gospel , so I will look at his narrative second. Finally Matthew is the shortest, and least detailed account of this narrative containing some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In verse 2, and 3 the word μνημείων is used meaning among the tombs . In verse 5 however a different word is used. μνήμασιν meaning as it is translated simply tomb . Making note of this distinction is important because if we look at the literal meaning of the translation of the word used in verses 2, and 3 we get a clearer picture of the condition of the demon possessed man. The first word that is used to describe the tomb emphasizes the fact that the man lived among the dead . I find this linguistic point interesting because it is an instance where our English language is not adequate to describe what the author was trying to convey in his text. When we look at the underlying meaning of the two separate words, and gain a deeper understanding of the underlying meaning of the first we get a more powerful picture of the circumstances that this demon possessed man was in. Aside from living among the tombs the man also suffered in other ways due to his demon possession. One example of this is 5:5 Night and day among the tombs and on the mountain he was always howling and bruising himself with stones. (NRSV) these two examples of the miserable state of the mans life are an illustration of the power that evil can have over a person . Understanding the extent of the power that the evil demon had over the man makes the illustration of the power that Jesus has over the demon all the more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Main Idea Of The Article The Aquinas Inquiry, Is To The main idea of the article The Aquinas Inquiry, is to explain or kind of conclude what a medieval philosophers panel would look like and how they would feel about the invasion of Iraq, Tony Blair s decisions, and Saddam Hussein and determine the reasons. The members of the Aquinas Inquiry have already developed a set of six criteria which should be met in order for any war to be considered just. The set of criteria will be used in this article to determine whether or not Tony Blair had just cause. The author of this article list some of the people he thinks should be on the panel to determine whether Tony Blair met the criteria for just cause for invading Iraq or not this list includes: St Thomas Aquinas, Christine de Pisan, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Iraq had not done this . The article suggests that Blair could ve argued that he did it because of 9/11 but without the evidence it could not be proven and he would not have just cause, but the panel could take it into consideration if Y harmed Y s own people as being just cause. Likely outcome: The panel initially divides evenly. After a stormy two hour meeting with Alastair Campbell in closed session, Christine de Pisan leaves in tears and the panel votes 3 0 that Tony Blair did have Just Cause . The third on the list is Right Intentions meaning that there was nothing to gain out of this, it wasn t for personal reasons, and going into this there was good intentions. The panel members are on record as believing that the aim of any war must be the achievement of peace and of the just cause not revenge, the desire for plunder or the suffering of destruction of the people on the other side . Due to the fact that Tony did not gain anything nor was there evidence to prove self intentions he had to have the right intentions. Likely outcome: In the absence of any evidence of self interested motives, the panel would probably vote that Tony Blair must ve had the right intentions . The fourth on the list is Proportionality meaning the good had to outweigh the bad. Some of the Aquinas panelists have claimed that for any war to be just, the anticipated good must outweigh the evil likely to be caused. The actual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Observing Brigadoon through a utopian lens paints a better picture of the world during the 1940s and gives a great example to the unifying impact love has in utopian literature. Through examining three main utopian concepts, both Brigadoon is proved to be utopian, and love is shown to be the driving utopian connection that draws the play together. Following the story of two young travelers, Brigadoon tells the tale of a small Scottish highland village. This village, as the explorers discover, lays under a spell which allows it to only surfaces once every hundred years. The Lord Supper was established to help us remember what Christ has done for our salvation. All who are going to partake of the Lord s supper should examine themselves first and deal with any problems and difficulties that they have in their hearts and life. The celebration must be set apart from the pagan festival, and each person must be conscious of what happening as they partake. The Lord supper is an unsophisticated ceremony, where believers can meet and partake of bread and wine, it is a sacred act of thanksgiving communion and remembrance. Furthermore, it is a sacrament that should be received repeatedly where continuing fellowship with God and his people can be obtained. As we participate in the Lord s supper then the past becomes the present and we are sharing in the once and for all sacrifice of Calvary but that is not all it is also predicting the future fulfilment of Christ returning. The significance of cognitive awareness in connection with receiving what the sacrament is conveying can be seen in the numerous ways that Christians have understood the rituals. They are the cradle hypothesis that says the area where species tend to be born is in the tropical latitudes, the museum hypothesis that says the tropical latitudes provide a better habitat for species that go extinct in other latitudes, and the destination hypothesis that says species migrate to the ... Another example is that species are adapting to the stresses of living in the city, such as high population density and high heavy metal concentrations in the soil. The last example that was given was the house mouse and the Norway rat. These are both non native species brought to New York that are developing a resistance to the warfarin used to try to kill them. (Taking a Walk on New York s Wild Side) This last example also shows us that introducing non native species can increase diversity. The problem with that is sometimes those species become invasive species and can have negative effects on the diversity in an area. This can also happen with non native plants and insects species as well. Methods of restoring biological diversity were addressed in this lecture too. The presenter said that the best way to maintain biological diversity is to keep natural area large and undisturbed because a larger space equals more diversity in species. While there are many projects that are working to restoring land to wild habitat, this option is not always possible. When building new parks, panels of experts put a lot of thought into what species would do well if introduced to the area. This includes animals, plants, birds, trees, insects, etc. They then introduce those species to the park when it is finished. Many companies are working towards putting green roofs on their company buildings. This would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

MRSA is particularly dangerous because it is resistant to most types of antibiotics, and is easily transmittable throughout the general public. There are two types of MRSA: HA MRSA: which is healthcare associated MRSA; and CA MRSA: which is community associated MRSA. The signs, symptoms, and treatment are all similar between the two different types of MRSA ( MRSA Overview, 1995). While resistant to most antibiotics, there are treatment options, however, prevention is the most important step. Staphylococcus aureus is a specific type of staph bacteria that causes a range of infections, such as infection of an open ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If the infected wound is mild and has not infected the internal body, antibiotics may not be needed. The treatment will only include the wound being cut and drained. If the infection is more severe and antibiotics are needed, there are newer types the can be used. MRSA has been shown to respond well to drugs such as vancomycin, ceftaroline, and daptomycin. Rarely, a MRSA infection has been shown to become resistant to vancomycin, and progresses to diseases termed VRSA. If this happens, a combination of antibiotics will be used. The treatment plan can be more successful if a material sample is obtained, as the culture can be tested to see which antibiotics it will respond to. The antibiotics course needs to be completed in full, even if symptoms disappear. If the course is not completed and the MRSA bacteria is still in the body, the infection is come back and become resistant to the antibiotics originally used. This is how MRSA becomes more dangerous and less susceptible to more and more antibiotics throughout time. The prognosis of patients infected with MRSA ranges and depends on the severity of the infection. If the infection was mild, patients almost always recover full and obtain 100% of their health back. For infections that advance to deeper infections, for patients that were infected with H MRSA, or for patients that have other health complications such as diabetes, the prognosis is not as positive. Alkaline Diet Pros And Cons The last two sources that are not from an academic website of any kind seem credible, and have doctors to back up their finding, but they both have disclaimers on them that the information is purely educational and should not take the place of a doctor s advice. The fact that they have this disclaimer makes me wonder if they have to have it, or are not confident in the information they have given. When I was researching this topic, I found that it was very controversial. Although it was controversial there seems to be more evidence supporting an alkaline diet rather than against an alkaline diet. • 31. Diphenylamine And Electrolyte Lab Report Objective: The overall goal of the experiment was to use cyclic voltammetry to characterize the components of gunshot residue. Specifically, to characterize diphenylamine and copper(II)1. Cyclic voltammetry is a method of measuring electron transfer through the reduction and oxidation potential of a compound in solution2. The metal copper and the organic molecule diphenylamine can be analyzed at the same time with the addition of acetate buffer as a supporting electrolyte. The data from the voltammeter will be received at different scanning rates in order to examine the electrochemical behavior. The reactions will be determined to be either electrochemically reversible, irreversible, or quasi reversible1. Instruments: The instrument used was a potentiostat with a glassy carbon working electrode, platinum auxiliary electrode, and silver/silver chloride reference electrode. This instrument is being used due to its ability to simultaneously collect data from both diphenylamine and copper with the addition of an acetate buffer. Microsoft excel was used in order to plot the data and simple calculations1. Experimental: The potentiostat was set up by the instructor with acetate buffer. The sample was deaerated with nitrogen gas for 5 to 8 minutes in order to remove oxygen. Oxidation and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MEANS IN THE CONTEXT OF ORGANISATIONAL SUCCESS Continuous improvement in a management context signifies a boundless exertion to expose and eradicate root causes of tribulations. It engages everybody, management and labor, in finding and eradicating waste in machinery, labor, and materials and making process. The Japanese word for continuous improvement, kaizen, is frequently used exchangeable with the word continuous improvement. From the Japanese character kai, signifies change, and the character Zen, meaning good, taken exactly, it means improvement. Even if kaizen is a Japanese notion, various U.S. firms taken it with significant achievement by uniting the finest of traditional Japanese practices with the strengths of Western industry practice, in other terms, by merging the profit of teamwork with the creativeness of the individual (Flint 2004). Some refer to its execution in the West as lean manufacturing since then, when joint with the doctrine of just in time (JIT), kaizen or continuous improvement shapes the groundwork for notion of lean manufacturing. ... Equity gives employees the sense of fairness in the workplace. A perceived inequity may result in decreased productivity and a sense of dissatisfaction in the workplace. An equitable workplace shows increased productivity, decreased absenteeism, and less staff turnover. Equity theory in the workplace shows greatly in matters of wages (Sweeney, 1990). Goal Setting Theory Theory Description Goal setting theory developed in the 1960s and 1970s by Gary Latham and Edwin Locke promotes the notion that if a manager provides an employee with specific, challenging goals the worker tended to outperform a worker assigned a vague, non specific goal such as do the best you can. This theory relies on the manager s awareness of the skill level and abilities of all employees (Borkowski, 2005). Goal Setting Theory in the Workplace The concept of the goal setting theory necessitates planning in advance by management after a thorough thought process of the goal needing to be met and the resources, including employees, available to assist in the goal achievement. The three steps required by the goal setting theory, goal setting, goal commitment, and support elements, need careful consideration by the manager (Borkowski, 2005). Goals need the characteristics of specificity and measurability. As employees perform the different levels of self confidence, the goals set by management must show attainability by the employee in accordance with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Similarities Between The Male Lion And The Queen Of The... King of the Jungle or Queen of the Jungle? The male lion is known to be the king of the jungle, but is he the one in charge? It is common in many animal species that the female is the dominant sex. It is also common for the female to be deadlier than the male. The female could contain more venom or the female could be more adept to kill than the male. An example of the female being deadlier is lions. The lioness does more hunting than the male and is said to be deadlier. Hickens posed the question in his essay what makes the female deadlier than the male in reference to humans. When comparing the lioness to the human female, one would find numerous similarities. Considering the nickname of the lioness as the Queen of the Jungle, the female human could be dubbed Queen of the Countryside. The deadly lioness shares many of the same characteristics with the female human. The lioness differs physically from that of the male lion, much in the way that a female human being differs from a male. The female lion is typically smaller and has less muscle. While the male lion is typically ten feet long, the female is usually only nine feet long. However, both of the lions are only about four feet tall on all four legs. Another main difference between the lions is that the male possesses a flowing mane and the female does not.
