Child Prostitution As An Illegal Act
Across the world each day, there are hundreds of cases of children unwillingly partaking in
prostitution. In 2002, research by Willis and Levy stated, Child Prostitution involves offering the
sexual services of a child or inducing a child to perform sexual acts for any form of compensation,
financial or otherwise. (Willis Levy 2002) Children who encounter such sexual activities under the
age of eighteen are considered children, and is seen as illegal. Individuals who are older than eighteen
are no longer a child in the government s eyes. For the past decade, or so, the world has done their
best to look at childhood prostitution as an illegal act shutting down facilities and speaking up for
children whose voices are not always heard. Through prostitution, trafficking, and the black market of
trade have been of recent concern for all parties due to the illegal acts of using, selling, and purchasing
children. The new millennial has brought forth many issues with these particular means because of the
unforeseen futures of these innocent children. Throughout the years the number of children that have
been harmfully touched or talked to in a damaging way has increased drastically. Willis and Levy
stated in an article that, an estimated 1 million children are forced into prostitution every year and the
total number of prostituted children could be as high as 10 million. (Willis Levy 2002) This number is
growing each year and we, as Americans, are the only way to fix

Summary Of Life For My Child Is Simple By Gwendolyn Brooks
Life for my Child is Simple , written by Gwendolyn Brooks, commences with a mother speaking of
her child s carefree personality. Throughout the poem, she recalls various memories of her child
committing actions without fearing the possible consequences. Brooks use of alliteration, when she
describes water slooshing slooopily , and the lack of a rhyme scheme, mirrors a child s lighthearted
perspective towards life and the risks it offers (13). The author s tone towards the subject reflects one
of hope, while the reader can interpret the poem as inspiring and encouraging of taking opportunities.
As an individual ages, society places an unknown pressure on adolescents to become responsible and
close minded to adventurous activities. As

Criticism Of Patrick White
Abstract Patrick White (1912 1990) has an overwhelming stature in the history of Australian literature,
not only because he is hitherto the only Australian Nobel Laureate, but also because that he makes a
great contribution to Australian literature, with which other writers can hardly compare. When realism
is prevailing in Australia, White first brings modernism to Australian literature. He creates an
unprecedented unique writing style and influences such brilliant writers as Randolph Stow, Thomas
Keneally, Hal Porter and the so called White School writers. White also represents an era in the history
of Australian literature. In White Era , by his works, White puts Australian literature on the world map
and elevates the status of Australian literature to a new degree. ... Show more content on

After reviewing the studies on White s novels, it is found that existing studies on Twyborn are so few
that can even hardly be the tip of the iceberg of White study. In existing studies, instead of being the
main subject, Twyborn usually appears as a foil character and is criticized by many scholars as one of
White s worst novels. Besides, the interpretations of Twyborn are rather limited; compared with White
s other novels, Twyborn deserves more and diverse interpretations. The first chapter is a summary of
White s novels common feature: White likes to set his protagonists in quests. White borrows Odyssey
s framework in The Aunt s Story, designing a Whitean odyssey for his protagonist. Since then,
Whitean odyssey usually appears in his following works; his protagonists face and solve a serious of
problems, and then get closer to the meaning of their existence. In Twyborn, the protagonist Eddie
also makes a Whitean odyssey from France to Australia and to UK in order to pursue the complete
identity , becoming a complete man who can love both himself and

Factors Affecting The Development Of A Corporation Essay
There are many factors that play a role in the development of a corporation. One being its initial raise
of funds. Weather it s through investors, lenders, stocks or bonds corporations must somehow find a
way to increase their revenue. A firm that raises capital through lenders or investors must first
convince potential investors of its profitability. They do this by releasing valuable information about
their finances through a series of lengthy financial statements. Due to the Securities Exchange
Commission (SEC) disclosure Laws and Regulations companies, that are publicly owned, are required
to disclose detailed information about their financial condition, operating results, management
compensation, and other areas of their business to all potential investors. Doing so reduces the cost
investors receive while collecting company information. Although these disclosure obligations are
primarily linked with large publicly traded companies, many smaller companies choose to raise capital
by making shares in the company available to investors. (1) These financial statements are also
displayed in the form of a business plan. Through the use of income statements and balance sheets
corporations are able to successfully record their financial flow. An income statement also known as
the statement of revenue and expenses reports a company s financial performance over a specific
accounting period. Corporations use this to provide investors with information about their revenue
costs

Link Between Autism And Noonan Syndrome
Ghaziuddin, Bolyard, and Alessi (1994) sought a connection between autism and Noonan Syndrome.
All testing done for this study was characterized as a formal assessment. They were as follows: The
Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Revised, Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, and Test of
Problem Solving skills. For speech and language evaluation specifically, the Clinical Evaluation of
Language Fundamentals Revised was given. (Ghaziuddin, Bolyard, Alessi, 1994) Wilson and Dyson
(1982) targeted speech and language characteristics of children with Noonan Syndrome. They used the
following assessments to evaluate the speech and language development of children: The Vocabulary
Comprehension Scale, Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, and an Oral Mechanism Exam. A language
sample was also taken and used to analyze pragmatic skills, semantic relationships, and phonological
processes. (Wilson Dyson, 1982) Lee, Portnoy, Hill, and Patton (2005) studied the psychological
aspect of children with Noonan Syndrome. All of the assessments were conducted in the child s most
natural environment, which was their home setting. The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children
Revised was used to test the children s overall intelligence. This test is often used in many of these
studies to obtain a type of baseline for each child. This is helpful, because then children from multiple
studies can be compared as opposed to children from just one particular study. This is due to the fact

Professional Identity Is The Persona Assumed By One Who
Professional identity is the persona assumed by one who holds expertise or specialised knowledge
(Dadich 2015). It can also be defined as morals, beliefs that an individual feel. Specific to nursing,
professional identity is to provide quality care for patients and to ensure a safe environment for others.
For the nursing profession, there are a set of guidelines, codes of conduct and codes of ethics nurses
need to follow to ensure the best care is given and provided for others. There are three main agencies
who nurses need to follow; these are the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA),

Board of Australia they can do this by being registered with the board to meet the established
professional standards in Australia to protect others and the public (Nursing and Midwifery Board of
Australia, 2017, para.1). There are many different versions of the documents from previous years that
have some of the same information but have been revised throughout the years. This is because the
rules and regulations are constantly changing and being updated with each year. These are relevant for
most of the documents on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia website. For example, the
Codes of Conduct, Ethics, Standards and Guidelines where the names of organisation and the layout
are always changing and need to be updated in the documents to ensure that the information is
reflecting the changing healthcare knowledge. The difference between standards and guideline is that
guidelines are a general rule that can be followed while standards are something that ideally should be
done. Confidentiality is critical for nursing professional to understand and undertake. If a nurse did not

Talented Play Builder
To be a credible play builder I feel as though you have to be talented in all three areas; good at
improvising, being a good actor and good at collaborating with other actors. They are very important
to being an effective play builder because they all have important attributes involved which help
benefit the play builder for it to be successful.
Being a good actor is important in this circumstance in my opinion because, being talented at the one
thing that is involved with a play it beneficial, the play builder is able to place themselves in the shoes
of the actor and will be able to see the positives and the strengths of each of the actors and be able to
suit the character to mould their positives, Being a good actor in this case will also ... Show more

Collaboration is important because another party may have a better line or idea that works better with
the scene or the script. This can also help with character development by creating greater aspects and
backing stories towards the characters. Being good at collaboration also means being good at
cooperation and team work so these skills not only benefit play building but helps advance an actor to
become better in who they are. Working with other play builders can be difficult but also teaches to be
patient and understanding towards other play builders and helps create a relationship by listening and
joining ideas to make one great piece that suits all.
In conclusion, I believe that all three of these aspects are important to being a skilled and great play
builder because being a good actor involves being able to develop a character, being a good
improviser helps a play builder be a quick thinker and shows how creative one can be on the spot and
how fast a scene can be altered, and being great at collaborations because this involves teamwork and
cooperation, due to the fact that being able to work with someone else can help advance a piece and or
a character. These skills should be acquired to be an effective play

Airline Ticket Prices Is The Foundation Of All Economic...
Supply and demand, together, are the foundation of all economic ventures. Airline ticket prices are
determined by the demand for travelers and the marginal cost of filling the seats; thus generating
supply. The interception of supply and demand is where business is generated. This interception of the
airlines pricing curves is indicated at their equilibrium point where there s neither a surplus nor a
shortage. Why can an airline ticket from Casper, Wyoming to Denver, Colorado, and from Denver,
Colorado to Orlando, Florida cost the same? Does this make economic sense? Where and when tickets
are purchased affects the bottom line price the consumer pays. Price and value are extremely
important in economics thus; the effect of supply and demand, affects the overall cost of the ticket.
Goals of Pricing
Airline ticket prices can vary from day to day, from airline to airline; with the most important variable
being competition. Industry pricing for a market of such a magnitude is a micro , and macro economic
decision. Its affects will in turn effect the entire economy of the industry. We all know that when
shopping for the cheapest price for an airline ticket, depending on various factors, Seaney (2011) you
will pay hundreds of dollars more, or less, than the passenger seated right next to you. That being, the
airlines primary goal is to maximize profit(s) on every seat, on every plane, on every route. This is the
result of supply, demand, and price curve working cohesively

Texas Supreme Court Case Analysis
Texas consists of three branches of government; the executive, legislative, and judicial branch. Texas
government is modeled very similarly to The United States three branches. Specifically within the
judicial branch, there is a Supreme Court, which is the highest federal court of The United States
[National]. There is also a Supreme Court in Texas; which is the highest court in the state. A 5 4
decision by The United States Supreme Court on June 26th, 2015 ended all state bans on same sex
marriage and requires all fifty states to recognize marriages legally performed in other states.
Immediately after this historic decision was made, in disobedience of the Supreme Court, Texas
attorney general said, that county clerks can refuse to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples if
they object on religious grounds. This was Texas initial reaction to the ruling. Former Texas Gov. Rick
Perry, a presidential contender, said he was disappointed with the ruling and as president, I would
appoint strict constitutional conservatives who will apply the law as written.

The United States and Europe are two different worlds, each with distinctive cultures that make them
unique. Both proud to be who they are and where they come from. Extremely proud that they cannot

Bellegardes and the novel s protagonist Christopher Newman. The American (Newman) is willing to

recognizes that the Bellegardes can t accept him for who he is.
No, I want to say a few words more. I want to say that I hope you quite understand what I m about.
This is my revenge, you know. You have treated me before the world convened for the express

making Claire change her decision to reject him. Newman takes a last look at the Carmelite Convent

Alexander the Great vs Napoleon Bonaparte, What I Got so...
When we think of Alexander the Great, we think of an outstanding war hero. When we think of
Napoleon Bonaparte, we think, again, of an outstanding war hero. If a random person were asked who
either of these rulers was, their first response would be a fact about war. Alexander and Napoleon
share similarities in their warfare, and how they used it to conquer and establish new lands. Alexander
the Great s strong perseverance and incredible battle strategies led to increase his power over his
empire. Napoleon used his intelligence and skill of manipulation to earn respect and support from the
French people, which gained him great power. Both men had similar qualities attaining leadership but

Comprehensive Curriculum Paper
Part 1: Introduction to the Comprehensive Curriculum Project The purpose of the Comprehensive
Curriculum Project (CCP) is to analyze the myriad of issues that have arisen over the last few years
revolving around curricula and its use in the classroom, school, and district. With the 2010 state
adoption of the Common Core, educators experienced many different transitional issues and
developmental issues revolving around the curricula. In order to develop a deeper understanding of
these issues it is important to conduct interviews, look at the Teacher Working Conditions survey, and
to analyze local organizational models that might affect the transition to the new standards. Ralph
Tyler (1957) describes curriculum as . . . all the learning experiences planned and directed by the
school to attain its educational goals (Glatthorn, 2011, p.3). Going by this definition, one can regard
curricula as encompassing what is taught in the classroom, as well as ... Show more content on

Being able to develop a culture of collaboration and high student achievement requires rigorous
curriculum development at the school and district levels. Curriculum and instruction work together to
enhance student learning. Curriculum revolves around what is taught in school and instruction centers
around how something is taught. (Sorenson, 2011, p. 32 35) To be more specific instruction can be
defined as, the strategies, techniques, materials, media, and place where the curriculum is
implemented in schools. If instruction, or the how, of a teacher does not match up to the curriculum, or
the what, then student achievement will suffer. Vertically and horizontally aligning curriculum with
the instruction that is happening within the classroom and school will in the end lead to greater student
achievement which will be reflected on student assessments. (Sorenson, 2011, p.

Symbolism In Our Town
Many plays have been acted throughout the whole human life, some of them reflect the feelings of the
author while others are just a representation of the society live in the time that it is played; as a social
opinion, but the common thing in all the plays is that they portray an immense amount of ideas and
concepts, that in a way, are transmitted into the audience. In the play Our Town, Thornton Wilder uses
symbolism, theme, and motif, as a unified concept to express a social observation towards the
American life in the 1900 s, which in the beginning of the play is stated as ordinary and common, but
as the play continues, it is transformed into a drama, with secrets and revelations. In the first place,
Wilder mentions his play as not a romance, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay on The Role of the Chorus in Ancient Greek Tragedies
The chorus s perspective of justice works differently in Euripides Medea and Aeschylus The Libation
Bearers. In both The Libation Bearers and Medea, the driving force of vengeance links the chorus to
each of the play s protagonists. For both plays, the choruses begin with a strong support of their heroes
with a belief that the course of action that those characters are pursuing for the sake of avenging the
wrongs done to them or their families is just and right. The chorus of Medea, however, moves away
from that original conviction in the moral justification of revenge. Over the course of The Libation
Bearers, the chorus also begins to express doubt in the validity of the true value in the cycle of deaths

because a successful outcome of an action against Clytemnestra and Aegisthus would eliminate some

justice of the law of retribution, which the chorus defines: Justice turns the wheel.

stroke for bloody stroke be paid. The one who acts must suffer. (Libation Bearers 192)
The law of retribution describes true justice as revenge, without very much in the way of logical
moderation or consideration. This concept of justice shows the reasoning of Medea s actions. By this
system, the pain that Jason s betrayal gave her necessarily must be repaid by an equal or greater pain
that Medea would inflict on Jason.
The chorus of both The Libation Bearers and Medea experience similar shifts in perspective once their
protagonists have properly decided to take action against those characters who have wronged them in
some manner. Directly following the prayers of Orestes and Electra in The Libation Bearers, the
chorus says, The flesh crawls to hear them pray./ The hour of doom has waited long (Libation Bearers
197), clearly showing that the chorus, despite having urged Orestes on in taking

d. Mediating.
Power point 11
If you are having trouble understanding this variable, you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
Hopefully, my explanation will help you! A mediating variable explains the relationship between the
two other variables. As an example, let s consider the relation between social class (SES) and
frequency of breast self exams (BSE). Age might be a moderator variable, in that the relation between
SES and BSE could be stronger for older women and less strong or nonexistent for younger women.
Education might be a mediator variable in that it explains why there is a relation between SES and
BSE. When you remove the effect of education, the relation between SES and BSE disappears.
Power point 12
While researchers will never state that one variable caused another variable to occur, as there are so
many variables to consider in social science research.
However, we do use the term causal relationship or cause and effect relationship , where the cause has
to precede the effect and the relationship cannot be explained by any other factors that are being
considered.
Power point 13
Here s an overview of the different types of variables and their functions.

A Man s Search For Meaning Narrative Analysis
In a Man s Search for Meaning narrative written by, Viktor, Frankl is a Must Read book! He honestly
describes and explain his various experiences in the concentration camp, not only is he being
descriptive but he also gives an official man experience from what he has been apart of and what was
seen. This narrative allows you to better understand what was being done to these individuals from a
psychological standpoint, meaning our mental. Imagine yourself, being tormented, tortured, verbally
and physically abused, but still must hold yourself upright just to avoid the abuse; there s no way
around it. These individuals, were abused day and night; even if they were a half of inch out of place.
Frankl, begins with a question that states, But does a man who makes his observations while he
himself is a prisoner possess the necessary detachment? Such detachment is granted to the outsider,
but he is too far removed to make any statements of real value. This stood out to me, being that I am
of a female gender; I could reverse the roles to better understand the question he posed. It is difficult
to observe oneself when you are a prisoner, not just physically but mentally. The mental is what
enables us as humans to process information but also perform daily tasks. Frankl, talks about a
condition known as, delusion of reprieve meaning that our mental tends to make us believe that there
is a way out or around the situation or maybe a consequence that will deter punishment from our
actions, but in actuality there isn t. The prisoners suffered though these illusions, quite often because
they never know when an officer may abuse them or possibly be taken to the crematorium. Frankl,
also poses another question once him and the others are forced to strip of their clothing asking; What
else remained for us as a material link with our former lives? At this point, the prisoners are now
equals. Everybody wears the same clothes, look the same and talk the same. How can one that was a
well paid doctor to now being held captive at a concentration camp? In this day in age, it wouldn t
happen. The technologies that have been developed and overall evolution, it s not possible to conduct
that type of activity anymore. Society is

Why Do We Need Effective Classroom Management
Teachers often wonder how to execute the ideal lesson, what structure should they adopt and how to
ensure that all their students cooperate. What we need to recognise is what classroom management is
and how much does student behavior factor? Why is it significant? What strategies does my mentor
use to establish classroom management within the class? If we know the behaviour of our students,
what do we need to do to ensure that effective classroom management is successfully acquired? All
these questions need to be answered as they all link towards a successful lesson and student
cooperation.
During my two weeks of placement, I was placed at St Albans Primary School in a prep class.
Considering that these students are at a young age, they are in a position where they are still
developing skills and are in the process of becoming mature, therefore classroom management is
crucial. In the class that I was in, students would often cause trouble with other members of the class,
they are easily distracted and overall difficult to handle. Being that I am a pre service teacher, they
often took advantage of me while I conducted the class, they would do the events explained above,
and this is due to the lack of classroom management and my ability to maintain student behaviour.
This led to students not understanding the task at hand and the overall focus of the lesson was not
acquired. It is crucial that classroom management is maintained, without a theoretical approach to
classroom

Symbolism In The Secret Lion By Alberto Alvaro Rios
Lots of things change when you age. That treehouse that your dad built for you when you were little is
not just a treehouse anymore, instead, it serves as a reminder of how gentle and careful he was.
Similar to the treehouse, the symbols used in the short story, The Secret Lion by Alberto Alvaro Rios,
show the readers how the boys perspectives on things change as they get older. When they were
young, the narrator and his friend Sergio liked to play at the arroyo to pass time. One day, they found a
grinding ball which they suspect must have been used for mining. The cannonball was something
perfect in an imperfect world, innocence in an adult world, and it was something they wanted to keep
forever, just like how kids will always want to be kids. They boys knew that they were going to have
to hide the metal ball or else it was going to get taken away, which means that they are growing and
becoming more aware of how unfair the world is. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The boys went there to yell about teachers, school, and just about anything to alleviate the stress.
Going to the arroyo was a sign of rebellion, something they mastered as they grew older. The
construction waste that would pollute the waters in the arroyo hit the boys with the reality that the
arroyo was not as perfect as they thought when they were kids. Everything in their childhood loses a
bit of its magic as they grow older, just like how the waters became tainted with

Seven Dwarves Mine Train Essay
New Fantasyland is a new expansion in Walt Disney World, Florida. Announced in September 2009,
construction for this large project, which will end up doubling the size of the previous Fantasyland,
was completed in stages starting in early 2012 and ending this year with the opening of the Seven
Dwarves Mine Train. This project incorporated many different disciplines of engineering, including
mechanical, structural, and software engineering.
Mechanical engineering is the discipline of engineering which involves design and building devices
and machines using the principles of energy, materials and mechanics. It is one of the largest
disciplines, one of the oldest, having been around before it was formally recognised in the 1840s, and

Although this may not be a conventional example of being sustainable, I believe that by addressing
this problem now and not allowing it to fester for future generations to deal with was a very
sustainable move.
Safety issue that would have surrounded this project in the planning process would have included
ensuring that the shape of the tracks of some rides and the speeds at which the ride goes at would be
sufficient and also not too fast to ensure the safety of the passengers, especially with the Seven
Dwarves Mine Train which involves rocking carts, the first roller coaster of its kind. Careful
calculations and many models, both computer and physical, should have been done to ensure that
these are safe for all passengers. Safety issues when actually constructing the project would have
included making certain that visitors to the park were kept away from the construction site, as the park
was fully open during the construction period. So long as tall, appropriate barriers were placed around
the site, this should have been fine.
One of the decisions made when building New Fantasyland was the decision to demolish some
attractions to make way for others.
Some attractions, though popular, were demolished altogether, including:
Mickey and Minnie s walkthrough houses
Donald s boat, a water play area
Pooh s Playful Spot, a

Cryptography Is Art Of Secret Writing
1.
The term cryptography develops from a Greek word which implies hidden or secret writing.
Cryptography is art of secret writing. The primary service provided by cryptography is capability to
send information between two participants in an effective way that halts others from reading it. This
type of cryptography provides other services namely,
integrity checking→ reassuring the recipient regarding a new message in which the message doesn t
seem to be altered viewing that it was actually given by a legal source.
Authentication →verifying someone s (or something s) identity.
Messages within its original form is named plain text or clear text. The hidden info is generally known
as cipher text. The procedure for producing cipher text from plain text is named encryption. The
reverse of encryption is known as decryption. While cryptographers invent clever secret codes, crypt
analysts plan to break these codes. Both these disciplines constantly make sure to keep in advance of
one another. Ultimately, the successes of the cryptographers rests on the cryptography systems are
likely to involve both an algorithm as well as a secret value. Here the secret value is called as key. The
purpose for having a key alongside an algorithm is the idea that it can be problematic to keep devising
new algorithms which allows reversible scrambling of data, and it will be hard to quickly explain a
newly devised algorithm with the person you d be willing to start communicating securely.

Comparing Danny And Reuven In Chaim Potok s The Chosen
Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live, Your people will be my people, and your
God will be my God (NLT, Ruth 1:16). So said Ruth to her mother in law Naomi in one of the most
famous acts of friendship in the Bible. Two women from vastly different religious and cultural
backgrounds somehow formed a relationship that would not break, despite its hardships. The same
thing happened to two boys, Reuven and Danny, in Chaim Potok s novel, The Chosen. Through an
accident in a heated softball game, Reuven realizes that Danny is lonely, and with the encouragement
of his father, befriends him.. Reuven s committed, attentive and challenging personality brings him
close to Danny as both of them grow older.
Reuven s commitment first shows up in the first scene of the book, the softball game. Danny hits the

If he hears something he does not agree with, he counters it, and this brings growth into his
friendships. It first happens when Reb Saunders makes his mistake in gematriya and Reuven, despite
severe misgivings, corrects him. Though it turned out to be a test, Reuven showed that he was willing
to contradict errors when he found them, and in the process won the respect of Reb Saunders. In the
Talmud debates with Danny and his father, Reuven shows that he can and will argue vehemently
against points that he disagrees with. Though both of the Saunders know much more about the Talmud
than he does, Reuven can still keep up with them and add his own contributions to the discussion
every now and then. And when Danny starts reading books that criticize his own faith, Reuven warns
him not to believe everything he reads, and to talk about the controversial books with someone who
knows more about it. You ought to discuss it with my father first, I told him, before you go believing
any of that (114). Reuven s willingness to refute concepts he does not agree with make him a solid

The Pros And Cons Of College Education
This past summer I graduated High School and this past school year I had to give a lot of thought
where I would like to go to college or if even going to college was the correct choice for me.
However, I did start preparing for college at the beginning of High School as the concept and need of
college was instilled within me by most of my family and those at school from a young age as they
tended to say education was my ticket and it would take me far in life. However is the higher
education and experience one gains through college worth the large amount of debt one will most
likely take on in order to go to college? This topic I find to be very interesting and to resonate rather
deeply with me as while many of my friends decided to follow my same path, deciding to go on to
higher education almost as many decide not to go to college. This could have been from a multitude of
reasons from not being able to afford college to not feeling they have the aptitude and commitment to
do college. I took the time to analyze the question Is college worth it? with two sources, both
pertaining to whether college is really worth the investment of time and money one puts into it. I
found two articles Is College worth it? and College: Who profits? which both help to analyze the pros
and cons of college along analyzing various statistics pertaining to college. They both seem to be
rather useful with one being more of a report on a book and the other being an article about a report.
The first source I analyzed was Is College Worth it? Written by Michelle Adam and published by The
Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education. Adam reports on a recent question Is College Worth it? which
was analyzed and asked by the Pew Research center. Adam noted throughout the source numerous
surveys and statistics, which the Pew Research used to help answer their question. One such survey
noted that 57% of people surveyed did not find they got good value for their money with higher
education, 75% said college was too expensive for many Americans, and yet 86% of college grads
said it was a good investment for them personally with 94% of parents claiming they expected their
child to go to college. Adam also noted that within the survey

The Myth Of The American Gods
Some may ask, what is a myth. To the common person, a myth is a work of fiction : an untrue story
made obsolete by modern society. A myth is a story that cannot be taken literally. For the sake of
making the definition clear, a myth is a story; it is a narrative; it is what helps people make sense of a
complicated world through different perspectives and experiences. Sometimes, these stories have
lessons that people can interpret from the events of them. Gaiman certainly has written a myth: the
myth of the American Gods. He has used past myths, those from ancient civilizations, to create a
world full of gods. He has created a myth about what America is within the narrative of those gods. He
has even modeled how religion plays out in this mythological America. Gaiman s narrative introduces
a somewhat complex system of characters; he has created a world in which the gods (not omniscient
creator gods) live among the people and cohabitate with them. The common person cannot tell a god
apart from them; they can sense something different about them, as Laura and Sam both sense
something different about Shadow from them. Laura, after she dies, claims that Shadow may not be
dead, but he most certainly is not alive (Pg#). This shows that the gods are not explicitly known to be
living among mortals, but mortals can sense something strange about them. Gaiman also creates a
myth about the popular gods who have taken the place of the modern gods. These include the gods of

The Sex Offender Registration And Notification Act
Additionaly, the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act is seen as a positive as well by law
enforcement, ...believing it leads to improved community surveillance of sex offenders and deters
them from reoffending (Lasher McGrath 9). The downside to this concept is the cost of implementing
the notifications. It is a concern for law enforcement that the public could overreact, which would
result in the need to allocate funds due to harassment (Lasher McGrath 9). It has an impact on the
economic system because people believe it needs to be implemented to keep everyone safe, and do not
take into consideration the large amounts of money needed to put this act in place. An article tiled, Sex
Offenders Registration and
Notification: Public Attention, Political Emphasis, and Fear , by Richard G. Wright, makes the
following statement that goes along with issue involving the allocation of funds, For the millions of
direct and indirect expenditures spent on compliance and implementation with registration and
notification laws, there is very little funding spent on sexual assault prevention, victim support, and
offender treatment (Wright 102). It is extremely important to put money towards rehabilitation, and
the support of the victims of sexual assault, not just the Sex Offender Registration and Notification
Act. The previously stated issues involving the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act must
be acted upon. It is clear that there are many differing

  • 3. Child Prostitution As An Illegal Act Across the world each day, there are hundreds of cases of children unwillingly partaking in prostitution. In 2002, research by Willis and Levy stated, Child Prostitution involves offering the sexual services of a child or inducing a child to perform sexual acts for any form of compensation, financial or otherwise. (Willis Levy 2002) Children who encounter such sexual activities under the age of eighteen are considered children, and is seen as illegal. Individuals who are older than eighteen are no longer a child in the government s eyes. For the past decade, or so, the world has done their best to look at childhood prostitution as an illegal act shutting down facilities and speaking up for children whose voices are not always heard. Through prostitution, trafficking, and the black market of trade have been of recent concern for all parties due to the illegal acts of using, selling, and purchasing children. The new millennial has brought forth many issues with these particular means because of the unforeseen futures of these innocent children. Throughout the years the number of children that have been harmfully touched or talked to in a damaging way has increased drastically. Willis and Levy stated in an article that, an estimated 1 million children are forced into prostitution every year and the total number of prostituted children could be as high as 10 million. Throughout the poem, she recalls various memories of her child committing actions without fearing the possible consequences. Brooks use of alliteration, when she describes water slooshing slooopily , and the lack of a rhyme scheme, mirrors a child s lighthearted perspective towards life and the risks it offers (13). The author s tone towards the subject reflects one of hope, while the reader can interpret the poem as inspiring and encouraging of taking opportunities. • 7. Criticism Of Patrick White Abstract Patrick White (1912 1990) has an overwhelming stature in the history of Australian literature, not only because he is hitherto the only Australian Nobel Laureate, but also because that he makes a great contribution to Australian literature, with which other writers can hardly compare. When realism is prevailing in Australia, White first brings modernism to Australian literature. He creates an unprecedented unique writing style and influences such brilliant writers as Randolph Stow, Thomas Keneally, Hal Porter and the so called White School writers. White also represents an era in the history of Australian literature. In White Era , by his works, White puts Australian literature on the world map and elevates the status of Australian literature to a new degree. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After reviewing the studies on White s novels, it is found that existing studies on Twyborn are so few that can even hardly be the tip of the iceberg of White study. In existing studies, instead of being the main subject, Twyborn usually appears as a foil character and is criticized by many scholars as one of White s worst novels. Besides, the interpretations of Twyborn are rather limited; compared with White s other novels, Twyborn deserves more and diverse interpretations. The first chapter is a summary of White s novels common feature: White likes to set his protagonists in quests. White borrows Odyssey s framework in The Aunt s Story, designing a Whitean odyssey for his protagonist. Since then, Whitean odyssey usually appears in his following works; his protagonists face and solve a serious of problems, and then get closer to the meaning of their existence. In Twyborn, the protagonist Eddie also makes a Whitean odyssey from France to Australia and to UK in order to pursue the complete identity , becoming a complete man who can love both himself and ... • 8. Factors Affecting The Development Of A Corporation Essay There are many factors that play a role in the development of a corporation. One being its initial raise of funds. Weather it s through investors, lenders, stocks or bonds corporations must somehow find a way to increase their revenue. A firm that raises capital through lenders or investors must first convince potential investors of its profitability. They do this by releasing valuable information about their finances through a series of lengthy financial statements. Due to the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure Laws and Regulations companies, that are publicly owned, are required to disclose detailed information about their financial condition, operating results, management compensation, and other areas of their business to all potential investors. Doing so reduces the cost investors receive while collecting company information. Although these disclosure obligations are primarily linked with large publicly traded companies, many smaller companies choose to raise capital by making shares in the company available to investors. (1) These financial statements are also displayed in the form of a business plan. Through the use of income statements and balance sheets corporations are able to successfully record their financial flow. An income statement also known as the statement of revenue and expenses reports a company s financial performance over a specific accounting period. Corporations use this to provide investors with information about their revenue costs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Link Between Autism And Noonan Syndrome Ghaziuddin, Bolyard, and Alessi (1994) sought a connection between autism and Noonan Syndrome. All testing done for this study was characterized as a formal assessment. They were as follows: The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Revised, Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, and Test of Problem Solving skills. For speech and language evaluation specifically, the Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals Revised was given. (Ghaziuddin, Bolyard, Alessi, 1994) Wilson and Dyson (1982) targeted speech and language characteristics of children with Noonan Syndrome. They used the following assessments to evaluate the speech and language development of children: The Vocabulary Comprehension Scale, Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, and an Oral Mechanism Exam. A language sample was also taken and used to analyze pragmatic skills, semantic relationships, and phonological processes. (Wilson Dyson, 1982) Lee, Portnoy, Hill, and Patton (2005) studied the psychological aspect of children with Noonan Syndrome. All of the assessments were conducted in the child s most natural environment, which was their home setting. The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Revised was used to test the children s overall intelligence. This test is often used in many of these studies to obtain a type of baseline for each child. This is helpful, because then children from multiple studies can be compared as opposed to children from just one particular study. This is due to the fact that the ... • 11. Talented Play Builder To be a credible play builder I feel as though you have to be talented in all three areas; good at improvising, being a good actor and good at collaborating with other actors. They are very important to being an effective play builder because they all have important attributes involved which help benefit the play builder for it to be successful. Being a good actor is important in this circumstance in my opinion because, being talented at the one thing that is involved with a play it beneficial, the play builder is able to place themselves in the shoes of the actor and will be able to see the positives and the strengths of each of the actors and be able to suit the character to mould their positives, Being a good actor in this case will also ... Working with other play builders can be difficult but also teaches to be patient and understanding towards other play builders and helps create a relationship by listening and joining ideas to make one great piece that suits all. In conclusion, I believe that all three of these aspects are important to being a skilled and great play builder because being a good actor involves being able to develop a character, being a good improviser helps a play builder be a quick thinker and shows how creative one can be on the spot and how fast a scene can be altered, and being great at collaborations because this involves teamwork and cooperation, due to the fact that being able to work with someone else can help advance a piece and or a character. • 13. Airline Ticket Prices Is The Foundation Of All Economic... Supply and demand, together, are the foundation of all economic ventures. Airline ticket prices are determined by the demand for travelers and the marginal cost of filling the seats; thus generating supply. The interception of supply and demand is where business is generated. This interception of the airlines pricing curves is indicated at their equilibrium point where there s neither a surplus nor a shortage. Why can an airline ticket from Casper, Wyoming to Denver, Colorado, and from Denver, Colorado to Orlando, Florida cost the same? Does this make economic sense? Where and when tickets are purchased affects the bottom line price the consumer pays. Price and value are extremely important in economics thus; the effect of supply and demand, affects the overall cost of the ticket. Goals of Pricing Airline ticket prices can vary from day to day, from airline to airline; with the most important variable being competition. Industry pricing for a market of such a magnitude is a micro , and macro economic decision. Its affects will in turn effect the entire economy of the industry. We all know that when shopping for the cheapest price for an airline ticket, depending on various factors, Seaney (2011) you will pay hundreds of dollars more, or less, than the passenger seated right next to you. That being, the airlines primary goal is to maximize profit(s) on every seat, on every plane, on every route. This is the result of supply, demand, and price curve working cohesively ... When we think of Napoleon Bonaparte, we think, again, of an outstanding war hero. If a random person were asked who either of these rulers was, their first response would be a fact about war. Comprehensive Curriculum Paper Part 1: Introduction to the Comprehensive Curriculum Project The purpose of the Comprehensive Curriculum Project (CCP) is to analyze the myriad of issues that have arisen over the last few years revolving around curricula and its use in the classroom, school, and district. With the 2010 state adoption of the Common Core, educators experienced many different transitional issues and developmental issues revolving around the curricula. In order to develop a deeper understanding of these issues it is important to conduct interviews, look at the Teacher Working Conditions survey, and to analyze local organizational models that might affect the transition to the new standards. Ralph Tyler (1957) describes curriculum as . . . all the learning experiences planned and directed by the school to attain its educational goals (Glatthorn, 2011, p.3). Symbolism In Our Town Many plays have been acted throughout the whole human life, some of them reflect the feelings of the author while others are just a representation of the society live in the time that it is played; as a social opinion, but the common thing in all the plays is that they portray an immense amount of ideas and concepts, that in a way, are transmitted into the audience. In the play Our Town, Thornton Wilder uses symbolism, theme, and motif, as a unified concept to express a social observation towards the American life in the 1900 s, which in the beginning of the play is stated as ordinary and common, but as the play continues, it is transformed into a drama, with secrets and revelations. • 22. Essay on The Role of the Chorus in Ancient Greek Tragedies The chorus s perspective of justice works differently in Euripides Medea and Aeschylus The Libation Bearers. In both The Libation Bearers and Medea, the driving force of vengeance links the chorus to each of the play s protagonists. For both plays, the choruses begin with a strong support of their heroes with a belief that the course of action that those characters are pursuing for the sake of avenging the wrongs done to them or their families is just and right. The chorus of Medea, however, moves away from that original conviction in the moral justification of revenge. Over the course of The Libation Bearers, the chorus also begins to express doubt in the validity of the true value in the cycle of deaths that the system of revenge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The chorus supports Orestes revenge against his mother Clytemnestra for killing his father primarily because a successful outcome of an action against Clytemnestra and Aegisthus would eliminate some of their cause for suffering. However, Orestes revenge against his mother and Aegisthus also meets the justice of the law of retribution, which the chorus defines: Justice turns the wheel. Word for word, curse for curse be born now, Justice thunders, hungry for retribution, stroke for bloody stroke be paid. The one who acts must suffer. (Libation Bearers 192) The law of retribution describes true justice as revenge, without very much in the way of logical moderation or consideration. This concept of justice shows the reasoning of Medea s actions. By this system, the pain that Jason s betrayal gave her necessarily must be repaid by an equal or greater pain that Medea would inflict on Jason. The chorus of both The Libation Bearers and Medea experience similar shifts in perspective once their protagonists have properly decided to take action against those characters who have wronged them in some manner. Directly following the prayers of Orestes and Electra in The Libation Bearers, the chorus says, The flesh crawls to hear them pray./ The hour of doom has waited long (Libation Bearers 197), clearly showing that the chorus, despite having urged Orestes on in taking ... He honestly describes and explain his various experiences in the concentration camp, not only is he being descriptive but he also gives an official man experience from what he has been apart of and what was seen. This narrative allows you to better understand what was being done to these individuals from a psychological standpoint, meaning our mental. Imagine yourself, being tormented, tortured, verbally and physically abused, but still must hold yourself upright just to avoid the abuse; there s no way around it. These individuals, were abused day and night; even if they were a half of inch out of place. Frankl, begins with a question that states, But does a man who makes his observations while he himself is a prisoner possess the necessary detachment? Such detachment is granted to the outsider, but he is too far removed to make any statements of real value. This stood out to me, being that I am of a female gender; I could reverse the roles to better understand the question he posed. It is difficult to observe oneself when you are a prisoner, not just physically but mentally. The mental is what enables us as humans to process information but also perform daily tasks. Frankl, talks about a condition known as, delusion of reprieve meaning that our mental tends to make us believe that there is a way out or around the situation or maybe a consequence that will deter punishment from our actions, but in actuality there isn t. The prisoners suffered though these illusions, quite often because they never know when an officer may abuse them or possibly be taken to the crematorium. Frankl, also poses another question once him and the others are forced to strip of their clothing asking; What else remained for us as a material link with our former lives? At this point, the prisoners are now equals. Everybody wears the same clothes, look the same and talk the same. What we need to recognise is what classroom management is and how much does student behavior factor? Why is it significant? What strategies does my mentor use to establish classroom management within the class? If we know the behaviour of our students, what do we need to do to ensure that effective classroom management is successfully acquired? All these questions need to be answered as they all link towards a successful lesson and student cooperation. During my two weeks of placement, I was placed at St Albans Primary School in a prep class. Considering that these students are at a young age, they are in a position where they are still developing skills and are in the process of becoming mature, therefore classroom management is crucial. In the class that I was in, students would often cause trouble with other members of the class, they are easily distracted and overall difficult to handle. Being that I am a pre service teacher, they often took advantage of me while I conducted the class, they would do the events explained above, and this is due to the lack of classroom management and my ability to maintain student behaviour. This led to students not understanding the task at hand and the overall focus of the lesson was not acquired. Similar to the treehouse, the symbols used in the short story, The Secret Lion by Alberto Alvaro Rios, show the readers how the boys perspectives on things change as they get older. When they were young, the narrator and his friend Sergio liked to play at the arroyo to pass time. One day, they found a grinding ball which they suspect must have been used for mining. The cannonball was something perfect in an imperfect world, innocence in an adult world, and it was something they wanted to keep forever, just like how kids will always want to be kids. The primary service provided by cryptography is capability to send information between two participants in an effective way that halts others from reading it. This type of cryptography provides other services namely, integrity checking→ reassuring the recipient regarding a new message in which the message doesn t seem to be altered viewing that it was actually given by a legal source. Authentication →verifying someone s (or something s) identity. Messages within its original form is named plain text or clear text. The hidden info is generally known as cipher text. The procedure for producing cipher text from plain text is named encryption. The reverse of encryption is known as decryption. While cryptographers invent clever secret codes, crypt analysts plan to break these codes. Both these disciplines constantly make sure to keep in advance of one another. Ultimately, the successes of the cryptographers rests on the cryptography systems are likely to involve both an algorithm as well as a secret value. Here the secret value is called as key. The Pros And Cons Of College Education This past summer I graduated High School and this past school year I had to give a lot of thought where I would like to go to college or if even going to college was the correct choice for me. However, I did start preparing for college at the beginning of High School as the concept and need of college was instilled within me by most of my family and those at school from a young age as they tended to say education was my ticket and it would take me far in life. However is the higher education and experience one gains through college worth the large amount of debt one will most likely take on in order to go to college? This topic I find to be very interesting and to resonate rather deeply with me as while many of my friends decided to follow my same path, deciding to go on to higher education almost as many decide not to go to college. This could have been from a multitude of reasons from not being able to afford college to not feeling they have the aptitude and commitment to do college. I took the time to analyze the question Is college worth it? with two sources, both pertaining to whether college is really worth the investment of time and money one puts into it. I found two articles Is College worth it? and College: Who profits? which both help to analyze the pros and cons of college along analyzing various statistics pertaining to college. They both seem to be rather useful with one being more of a report on a book and the other being an article about a report. The first source I analyzed was Is College Worth it? Written by Michelle Adam and published by The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education. Adam reports on a recent question Is College Worth it? which was analyzed and asked by the Pew Research center. Adam noted throughout the source numerous surveys and statistics, which the Pew Research used to help answer their question. One such survey noted that 57% of people surveyed did not find they got good value for their money with higher education, 75% said college was too expensive for many Americans, and yet 86% of college grads said it was a good investment for them personally with 94% of parents claiming they expected their child to go to college. • 33. The Myth Of The American Gods Some may ask, what is a myth. To the common person, a myth is a work of fiction : an untrue story made obsolete by modern society. A myth is a story that cannot be taken literally. For the sake of making the definition clear, a myth is a story; it is a narrative; it is what helps people make sense of a complicated world through different perspectives and experiences. Sometimes, these stories have lessons that people can interpret from the events of them. Gaiman certainly has written a myth: the myth of the American Gods. He has used past myths, those from ancient civilizations, to create a world full of gods. He has created a myth about what America is within the narrative of those gods. He has even modeled how religion plays out in this mythological America. Gaiman s narrative introduces a somewhat complex system of characters; he has created a world in which the gods (not omniscient creator gods) live among the people and cohabitate with them. The common person cannot tell a god apart from them; they can sense something different about them, as Laura and Sam both sense something different about Shadow from them. Laura, after she dies, claims that Shadow may not be dead, but he most certainly is not alive (Pg#). This shows that the gods are not explicitly known to be living among mortals, but mortals can sense something strange about them. Gaiman also creates a myth about the popular gods who have taken the place of the modern gods. These include the gods of Media ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The downside to this concept is the cost of implementing the notifications.
