in the homes of community activists and leaders with the aim of taking up their causes, while being
part of the Legal Resource Centre [LRC]. The LRC is a human rights law clinic that uses the law as an
instrument to assist the homeless, landless and poor people. Through his contribution to human rights
as an advocate, the LRC has acknowledged him in the centre s oral history project. I did a lot of work
for Moray Hathron. Moray is so good that he makes Gandhi look bad. He really is a good guy , says
Supreme Court of Appeal Judge Mahomed Navsa who worked at the LRC. Hathron was also part of a
case which was to prevent the eviction of the residents of Protea South in Soweto by the City of
Johannesburg and they won the case. In order to represent communities from being removed from
their homes, Hathron went to the Northern Cape, to do military services at Lohatla army battle school.

Rocket Raccoon
The film Guardians of the Galaxy directed by James Gunn, was brought to life from Marvel studios.
They have introduced us to the beloved character Rocket Raccoon. He is an outlaw with his partner,
Groot, and then turned hero after saving the galaxy with the other characters. The skilled marksmen,
masterful tactician, and raccoon has now been transformed into a costume. Now kids and adults alike
will be able to embody their love for the Marvel movie. The Rocket costume masks are sold by Rubies
online and in the store. It can fit well with a purchased or made from scratch costume for Halloween
or cosplay. The Rocket Raccoon masks are officially licensed by the Marvel company as a guardians
of the Galaxy product. Because of this, the costumes are made of the highest quality materials. The
materials must meet the standards of the studio in order to be endorsed; this ensures good quality. The
Rocket face is made out of latex in order to appear more realistic. The latex causes it to be flimsier and
fit the face better. Latex is also a very lightweight material in order to prevent the raccoon face from
being heavy on the head. The latex allows for the Rocket facial structure and design to be sculpted on
it. This way, the face can be molded to mimic the sculpture of the animals face from the guardian s
movie. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

It Was Awful And Bitter When The Allies And The Central
It was awful and bitter when the Allies and the Central Powers clashed and unleashed their military
power at the war front in World War I. World War I also known as the war to all end wars, or the Great
War occurred between June 28, 1914, to November 11, 1918. The war left over thirty eight million
civilians and militaries casualties. Much work was needed to get the European countries back together
after the war. In the book Fear written by Gabriel Chevallier, the narrator shows the unforgettable
memories a war can bring. The main character Jean Dartemont is supposed to be enthusiastic to go to
war like many other young nineteen year old French men at the time. Nationalism is high in France
and there are many military posters promoting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He takes a time throughout to book to look at his reason why he went off to war. The physical scars
that Jean left with during the war were clearly seen in these accounts. Emotionally the soldiers went
off to work feeling unbeatable with a strong nationalistic pride. However, they soon realized that all
their emotions would not be able to conqueror the evils the war had to offer. One of the most horrific
memories for Jean was when he spoke about the different type of corpse he saw while they were on
their way to another town. They had crouched down on their knees under a pile of debris. When they
got up they saw a decapitated head of a soldier who probably died days ago. Jean is shaken up by this
horrific site by saying that when he looked at the man s face he could fell like the man was blaming
him for his death. He reminisces on all the horrific events emotionally that left him scarred, however,
he goes on to say that this was the most horrible impression that he could take away from the war
front. Jean later goes on to describe the agony and numerous positions where the corpse would lay.
Personally, as the reader, I could really fell the suffering of the dying soldiers when Jean describes the
glass eyes and twisted mouths of the dead bodies in the trench . This evidence took a toll on Jean
because he leaves the scene in disgust and without hope of a return home. Lastly, the war

Holy Trinity Research Paper
Christianity is one of the world s largest religions; however, Christianity is no longer a united religion
with one understanding of the faith. The numerous different interpretations of the Holy Bible and the
Christian faith have led to various denominations. One main controversy between Christian
denominations is the belief or non belief of the holy trinity. Pentecostal churches and Baptist are just
opposing side of the controversy; while Pentecostal belief is the literal interpretation of the Bible,
Baptist take a more loose understanding of the holy writings. Christianity originated in the first
century AD; Christianity teaches the life and death of Jesus Christ. The faith consists of many
different sects or denominations. The Roman Catholic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the twentieth century, the Pentecostal movement began to really surface although, there was
evidence of Pentecostalism in earlier times during history ( Pentecostalism ). The Oneness Pentecostal
movement is slightly more recent than other Pentecostal movements. Oneness Pentecostal beliefs
focus on the singular point that there is only one God, who manifests himself in different ways; this
belief separates Oneness Pentecostalism from other denominations that believe in the Trinitarian
doctrine. Oneness practices and teaching reject the belief that God is three individuals; instead believe
that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are ...merely titles reflecting the different personal manifestations
of the One True God... The disbelief in the Holy Trinity also affects the Oneness Pentecostal practices.
Oneness believers practice baptizing in the name of Jesus and receiving the Holy Spirit, followed by
evidence of speaking other languages which are unknown to the speaker. Oneness Pentecostals believe
that the Holy Bible is the word of God, and absolute in its contents ( Oneness Pentecostalism ).
Although, Oneness Pentecostals believers support their practices with biblical evidence, other
denominations express their beliefs through biblical

Index Of Attitudes Toward Income Inequality
To ensure that this effect was not due to demographic factors, I ran a linear regression model with an
index of attitudes towards income inequality. The index is comprised of responses to three survey
questions. The first survey question asks, after respondents are shown a graph charting the top and
bottom twentieth percentiles of average household income over the last forty years, It is good, bad, or
neither good nor bad that the difference between the top and the bottom incomes has changed in this
way? The second asks, Do you favor, oppose, or neither favor nor oppose the government trying to
make this income difference smaller? It is notable that this question garners much less support than
questions asking whether respondents support

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Plate Heat...
Plate Heat Exchangers Design and Advantages
Plate heat exchangers are clearly sorts of warmth exchangers. It capacities by exchanging the warmth
starting with one liquid then onto the next through the utilization of metal plates. Contrasting it and
traditional warmth exchangers, these ones are supported particularly in light of the fact that the liquids
deal with bigger surface zones and are equipped for scattering to the metal plates. Basically, the
methodology empowers appropriate assistance of warmth exchange as it velocities up the adjustments
in temperature happening amid the procedure.
Knowing more about the idea of plate warmth exchangers includes taking a gander at the
configuration of the device and in addition separating the focal points from its inconveniences.
Fundamentally, a warmth exchanger uses channels to cool or warm a liquid through the procedure of
exchanging it to another liquid. The funnels dividers are frequently made either out of metal or
different substances known not of high warm conduction abilities. This is to guarantee that the
exchange of warmth starting with one liquid then onto the next will be legitimately encouraged.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir s Luncheon Of The Boating Party
Luncheon of the Boating Party by Pierre Auguste Renoir is one of the most renowned paintings. The
painting is significant to the age of impressionism; this movement in France took place in 1870 s 1880

Luncheon of the Boating Party depicts the identity of impressionism during the bridge of the 19th to
the 20th century. Luncheon of the Boating Party is composited of a variety of different physical
properties. The piece is large in size, with the height of the painting, 130 by 173 cm, on an oil canvas.

Once you look at Renoir s painting, you immediately notice the colors. The piece involves a variety of
different colors not only separately but also combined constructing different skin tones, and
complexions. The surface is dominated by contrasted colors of soft and smooth variations of colors,
crisp accents along with warm and cool colors as well as light and dark tone all working together.
These colors include, blue, brown, pink, yellow, orange, green and red. The colors of the women s
faces, for example, the blush color added to their cheeks, conjure an element of intimacy to the
painting. Renoir is known for invoking moods from his subjects rather than stories. Before this time
period these colors were not typically experimented with, which is why paintings of Impressionism
maintain a unique brightness. The piece looks like it is necessary a sketch is drawn to create the
image, however Renoir like many other Impressionists did not plan their work ahead but rather
developed compositions as they painted . The canvas captures a real event taking place, however it
cannot be described as realism because of the textures previously

How Marketing Can Be Defined As A Managerial And Social...
Marketing can be defined as a managerial and social process whereby groups and individuals obtain
what they need or desire through the creation of a product, offering it and exchanging the product of
value with others. Some of the marketing concepts include needs, wants, and demand; products; cost,
value, and satisfaction; transactions and exchanges; networks and relationships; markets; marketers
and prospects. A need is a state by which basic satisfaction is deprived. A need is usually a biological
concept that is not created by the marketer. Examples of needs are thirst, safety, shelter, food and
clothing. Wants, on the other hand, can be defined as the desire for a particular satisfaction of need
that is considered to be another level of need. An example of a want is when an individual is in need
of food; he would want the food to be prepared in a particular way and would want the food to be fish
or chicken. Demand, on the other hand, is a want of a particular product backed by the ability as well
as willingness to buy the product. A product can be defined as goods and services that bring forth the
satisfaction to human needs, wants and value. Cost satisfaction, on the other hand, is defined as the
consumer estimates and the capacity of the product to satisfy another need. For one to get the value of
something then there must be something that he is able to give up the opportunity cost. Different
products cost differently depending on the level of satisfaction perceived.

How does the Bible Influence Political Thought and Action...
How does the Bible Influence Political Thought and Action in Our Culture? The Bible is a unique
book that is different from others because it contains sacred text that has continued to influence
societies from generation to generation. Generally, the impact of this sacred book is worldwide since it
has affected every department of human activity. The influence of the Bible on society is derived from
the fact that it contains various themes that are used to shape the moral progress of the world. In
addition, the influence of this book is not restricted to Christians and Jews because it impacts more
than 50 percent of the world population. One of the major ways that the Bible has influenced society is
through its effects on politics, especially political thought and action. In most cases, the Bible is used
as the basis for formation of laws and rules that govern society.
The Bible and Politics: In today s society, there are Christians who have unhealthy focus on social and
political issues to an extent that it is detrimental to their personal testimony and the gospel in general.
On the other hand, there are those who argue that Christians should have minimal or nothing to do
with politics (Specht, n.d.). However, these groups need to reconsider their views and beliefs based on
what the Bible teaches regarding politics. Despite of the difference in the role of Christians in politics,
the Bible is essential to political philosophers and theorists as well as the modern

The Irony Of Socrates
The first thing to register when considering the concept of irony in connection to Socrates is that,
contrarily to what one might expect, in no passage of Plato s work does Socrates or any of his
associates refer to him as an ironist. Rather, it was his opponents who accused him to be an eiron, that
is, someone who practices irony. This is because up to Socrates times, the standard understanding of
the Greek word eironeia was exclusively that of deception or dissembling. More precisely, as David
Wolfsdorf shows discussing a passage from Oppian s On Hunting, erioneia is the use of deception to
profit at the expense of another by presenting oneself as benign in an effort to disarm the intended
victim. Accordingly, eironeia and its derivatives were originally meant as terms of abuse, and Plato
reserves them more properly for the sophists.
Hence, when Socrates opponents accuse him of being an ironist, they are claiming that he is a liar.
One such occasion is the charge moved by Trasymachus against Socrates in the first book of the
Republic:
Ye gods! Here we have the well known irony [italics mine] of Socrates, and I knew it and predicted
that when it came to replying you would refuse and dissemble and do anything rather than answer any
question that anyone asked you. (Republic I, 337 A3 7)
Basically, Thrasymachus is accusing Socrates of being an ironist because, according to him, Socrates
is feigning ignorance, prefering to ask questions rather than answer

The Temperature Dependence Of Magnetization M ( T )
Next, the temperature dependence of magnetization M(T) curves of Mn3Cu1 xGdxN under a
magnetic field of 100 Oe is shown in Figure 3. For x = 0.15, decreasing from 300 to 147 K, the ZFC
and FC curves are virtually indistinguishable, and then an abrupt magnetic transition from PM to FM
with a pronounced ZFC FC irreversibility appears at a TC of ~146 K, as shown in Figure 3a.
Noticeably, with a slightly increase in the Gd content from 0.15 to 0.17, the M(T) curves (Figure 3b)
exhibit entirely different features, in which two magnetic transitions are clearly observed. One is the
typical PM FM phase transition located at high temperature (TC1), and the other is the FM
antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition at low temperature (TC2). Further increasing the Gd content, the
TC1 shifts to high temperatures (from 164 to 239 K), while the TC2 gradually moves towards low
temperature (from 118 to 99 K) as demonstrated in Figures 3c and 3d. In addition, to further verify the
low temperature magnetic features, the temperature dependent high magnetic field magnetization was
measured under 20 kOe, as shown in the insets of Figures 3a d. Obviously, a typical AFM peak is
observed from the inset as displayed in Figures 3b d, and the decreased slope of PM FM transition
suggest that it is the second order transition induced by Gd doping. For Mn3CuN, the structural phase
transition brings a three dimensional geometrical frustration in Mn6N octahedron 45, and then the
next nearest neighbor (Mn N Mn)

Role Of Luxury Flagship Stores
I. Introduction In 2007, Euromonitor International reported luxury goods market sales to exceed
US$130 billion, and in 2016, the report luxury goods market more than double to an exceeding sale of
US$388 billion (Fionda Moore, 2008). The significant growth rate in estimated market value
demonstrate an opportunity in the luxury goods market. While flagship stores are not exclusive to the
luxury sector, they manifest an important role in luxury brand recognition among consumers. It is
essential to further investigate the role of flagship stores as they are an integral element of luxury

For distribution partners, a high initial investment into a flagship store opening is crucial to indicate a

media relationship building, luxury flagship stores must understand and appreciate fashion media have
a significant influence on how a luxury fashion brand is perceived and accepted. Fashion media affect
consumers brand awareness and impact luxury flagship stores press (Fionda Moore, 2008). The
fashion media includes fashion editors, journalist, stylist, and famous public figures. Therefore luxury
flagship stores must maintain and build a cpositive relationship with fashion media. As reported in

In effect, the British fashion press abandoned all coverage of the brand, which had adverse effects on
the company s reputation and sales. Regarding customer relationship building, luxury flagship stores

The Federal Government And Education System
The Federal Government and Education Article 1, Section 8, of the Constitution declares that the US
Government is responsible to tax the people for the general welfare of its citizens . Under this clause,
the Government has taken the responsibility of education; not to micro manage the education system,
but instead to increase the efficiency of it. In the past, states and local governments have maintained
primary control of the education system, which has led to many problems. The differences in
curriculum, quality, and administering as well as other aspects of public education are vastly different
around the country, which has actually inhibited America s ability to succeed. Many of these issues
could be resolved with a shift in power in terms of who is controlling the country s academic system.
The Federal Government should have a significant amount of regulating responsibility in America s
education system, because it standardizes the quality of education across the country, presents an
opportunity of equal education for all students, and regulates teachers. With the Federal Government
regulating education, a national standard of schooling will become available. This means that there
will be set expectations for how well a student does in school as well as standards for a quality
education across the US the education on one side of the country will be exactly the same as on the
other side. Having a national academic standard is important because standards spell out

by Mead, Bush s legacy is portrayed negatively in many ways. The editorial makes the claim that
Bush is to be blamed for invading Iraq with questionable motives leading to 37,000 soldiers injured or
killed. Also the Bush Administration s legalization of the inhumane torture of captives is unacceptable.
It states that Bush had no right to go to war in Iraq because there was no direct threat to the United
States. In Part One of Mead s article, he parallels the editorial by stating that even though Suddam
Hussein was captured and killed after the war, even that didn t justify Bush s decision to attack
overseas. Various failures in international diplomacy, strategy, and conviction to the people are proof
that Bush messed up. Mead clarifies how important and necessary all of these issues are when

Essay on Third Grade Classroom Observation and Analysis
Classroom Environment A general population third grade class was observed to further understand the
psychological aspect of teaching. The Title I school classroom observed has sixteen students, eight
girls and eight boys, and is almost entirely made up of students from a low socioeconomic status
(SES). The desks are arranged with one big horseshoe and two rows of desks inside the horseshoe
shape. The teacher has made adjustments to seating assignments and layout due to student behavior
and feedback. The class is made up with students eight to nine years old with two students repeating
the third grade. Snowman and McCown (2012) highlight that students in this class would be in

The graphic organizer allows students to inform their teacher what they know, what they want to
know, and what they learned. This was the only constructivism observed in the class. Due to time
constraints, the teacher does not have enough time to go more in depth with the students with the
concepts to evoke more meaningful learning. The students in this class could benefit from more class
discussions to elicit a better understanding of the subject matter. The worksheets that the students
work with have very little relevance in their lives, which only adds frustration to the learning process.
With time being the main reason that there is a lack of constructivism, the teacher could look into
alternative approaches. One approach that might work well in this classroom is problem based
learning. The students are inquisitive and innovative. Classroom distractions would be lowered, and
the students would be actively engaged in their learning.
Theories of Intelligence Howard Gardner s theory of multiple intelligence s (MI theory) is a valuable
resource for teachers, if they understood how they could apply this in the classroom (Snowman
McCown, 2012). In this class, there are multiple intelligences observed amongst the students;
however, there is minimal differentiated instruction to allow the students the best opportunities for
success. It is critical that teachers understand that their teaching methods may not be wrong, but they

Leonardo Da Vinci s Lady With Unicorn
In 1934 1936 Raphael restored a female portrait Lady with Unicorn. Leonardo Da Vinci had painted
this piece in the year 1505. Leonardo was a high renaissance painter and this picture is a high
renaissance piece. The time period of when it was created and the idealized figure, clarity, and bright
colors depict the type of renaissance piece. In the portrait a lady with long blonde hair, and blue eyes
is holding a greenish colored unicorn in her lap, which gives the portrait its name. It was an oil
painting that was applied to a wooden canvas. This piece was actually inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci
s Mona Lisa (Young women with Unicorn , n.d.). The subject in the portrait has been identified as
Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The painting was attributed to Raphael when he restored it. Removal of
a heavy repainting revealed the unicorn in this portrait. The unicorn is a representation of purity in the
medieval romance in place of Catherine s wheel. In the painting the five elements of renaissance
perspective are all portrayed.
The Lady with Unicorn shows linear perspective, aerial perspective, diminution of size, and overlap.

Political And Cultural Beliefs In Ancient Egypt
Kings or Pharaohs ruled ancient Egypt between 3100 B.C. and 332 B.C. The Egyptians believed that
each ruler was the powerful god Horus, son of the sun god RE in a human body, they thought that the
king controlled everything I ancient Egypt, including the sun and the Nile river. He controlled the
temples the army the economy and trade. He oversaw all government officials. the king owned most
of the land in Egypt. Egypt has operated under several constitutions, both as a monarchy and after
1952 as a republic. The first and most liberal of these was the 1923 constitution which was
promulgated just after Britain declared Egypt s independence. That document laid the political and
cultural groundwork for modern Egypt declaring it an independent sovereign Islamic state with Arabic
as its language. The ancient Egyptians believed in many different gods and goddesses each controlling
a different part of everyday life. The god khepri appeared as a dung beetle each day and slowly rolled
the sun across the sky. Because gods could interfere in people s lives the ancient Egyptians prayed to
them and gave them gifts to keep them happy. Egyptian religious beliefs and practices were closely
integrated into Egyptian society of the historical period. Although there were probably many survivals
from prehistory these may be relatively unimportant for understanding later times because the
transformation that established the Egyptian state created a new context for religion. Ancient

The Last Lecture Randy Pausch Analysis
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch is a compilation of stories and advice from Pausch. He includes
excerpts from the lecture itself; as well as other experiences that contribute to the theme of the book.
The book focuses on the achievement of dreams. Pausch expresses the importance of living every day
to its fullest potential. He states that It s not about how you achieve your dreams. Its about how to lead
your life. If you lead your life the right way, karma will take care of itself. The dreams will come to
you (Page 205/206) . A section of the book focuses on the possibilities that arise when an individual
simply asks for something. Pausch gives two examples of this in the book. He discusses a trip to

He employs tactics such as asking for something one desires, overcoming obstacles, and being self
aware. Having the mind to simply ask for something that I desire may be a crucial trait to have.
Additionally, obstacles have been and will continue to be present throughout my life. Whether in
academics, sports, or my personal life, challenges will always arise. One of the most important pieces
of advice that he gives, I believe, is to worry less about what others are thinking. As a young adult,
this is often hard to do. However, there are many benefits to taking the advice of Pausch. His advice
will likely lead to being a more confident, successful person. The changes, large or small, that can be
made will affect every day of my life. Struggling with depression has allowed me to have a great
understanding of the importance of overcoming obstacles. Similarly, dealing with severe anxiety has
allowed me to understand the importance of asking for something even if it may seem difficult.

LGBT Politicians in the US
In Greenwich Village on a warm July morning in 1969, a group of gay men and women are brawling
with police officers. This is Stonewall. These riots mark the start of the Gay Liberation movement a
social cause hampered by public stigma such as the AIDS Epidemic, religious intolerance, negligence
of an almost criminal level by the United States government, and outright scorn from all directions.
Stonewall marked the first critically important instance of the gay community fighting back against all
of this injustice. The following decades would result in an unprecedented shift in public opinion. They
would not, however, result in an unprecedented shift in congressional representation. The lack of
representation is dangerous to the LGBT ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Johnston was the Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman, and a longtime friend of Congressman
Studds. The claim that Studds inspired a generation of LGBT persons is hard to verify. Every
memoriam article concerning Studds makes this claim, but none seem to have found anyone to be
inspired aside from close personal friends. On Studds death in 2006, many claimed that his example
had made it possible for other LGBT citizens to serve public office. I would argue that Studds had no
intention of ever admitting his sexuality, let alone serving as some beacon of pride. Only after an affair
with a nearly underage boy did the Congressman admit his sexuality. This conduct did nothing but
help to solidify the stigma attached to LGBT persons. Studds s actions gave his electoral opposition
plenty of firepower to use. Studds, as a publicly elected representative, wasn t just representing
himself when he committed his actions, but was rather representing a very young social cause. When
first discovered, his actions harmed that cause. Studds s case is particularly important because he was
first: his actions established negative precedent an example of behavior to be followed for all of those
potential LGBT candidates that would follow. Studds was re elected the next year with little trouble,

What Is Nanotechnology Based Drug Delivery System
Overview
Nanotechnology based drug delivery systems are the use of capsules between 1nm and 100nm large to
store medicine within them and protect the drugs until it reaches the affected area it must treat. This
method allows smaller amounts of drugs to enter the body and prevent severe side effects by reacting
with unaffected parts of the body. These nanocapsules travel in the bloodstream and release the drugs
once in close proximity to the affected area. The main focus for this application is to treat cancer,
where the capsules can either identify and attach to cancer cells or a magnet worn by the patient can
trigger the capsule once it reaches a specific place in the body.

This technology is also being looked into for creating diagnostics to identify abnormal cells in the
body. Currently, none of this technology has been applied to clinics as there is not enough data to
support the safety of nanoparticles in the body. However, experiments and further development are
still occurring to allow for its use in the future.
Current Regulations/Suggestions The Canadian Environmental Protection Act allows the regulation of
nanomaterials that are imported or produced in Canada. Importers and manufacturers of nanomaterials
must provide information about the products to government officials who can evaluate the potential
effects it may have on the environment and the people living in Canada. A change to the act has been
proposed to increase the regulation of nanotechnology in Canada. Currently, products don t need to
indicate the use of nanotechnology and there is not enough information to conclude the possibility of
pollution towards air, water, and soil. As nano drug delivery systems are still in the developmental
stages, there aren t any regulations currently set in place. However, these nanoparticles must be
examined for any hazardous properties and potential issues that may occur if it were used in a patient
such as a reaction to an unaffected area or poisoning.
Health/Safety Precautions Protection is mandatory to avoid nanoparticles from entering the body or
environment and cause serious harm. Nanoparticles can enter your

Thomas Wolsey s fall from power Essay example
The most important reason for Wolsey s fall from power was his failure to obtain a divorce. How far
do you agree? Wolsey was a cardinal and statesman, Henry s lord chancellor and most faithful servant,
whom he was most reliant upon. From 1515 to 1529 Wolsey s rule was undisputed. Henry VIII
delegated more and more state business to him, including near complete control of England s foreign
policy. Wolsey s finest hour was arranging the Field of Cloth of Gold. Wolsey used his wealth to
indulge his passion for building, his grand style of living made him increasingly unpopular. Wolsey s
failure to arrange an annulment for Henry was quickly followed by his downfall. In this essay I will

Catherine was not willing to let go easily as this meant her child Mary could be made illegitimate, she
was also a strong Catholic and believed that she was supposed to be Queen of England. She refused to
go to a convent and refused to go to the hearing in London, which is why she appealed in Rome, this
gave her a stronger chance to win her case. Another strong reason was the fact that Charles V, the
Holy Roman Emperor and Catharine s nephew was holding the Pope hostage and had him under
house arrest. Charles V had invaded Italy and therefore the Pope was in no position to agree a divorce
(considering the family connections). In normal circumstances he may have gotten the divorce. When
the final failure of Wolsey s efforts to secure the divorce became apparent the king turned on his once
faithful and most trusted servant. Henry felt let down and Wolsey was no longer useful. In addition
Wolsey was becoming less successful as on the political front Charles V had taken Italy while Francis
I had grown tired of the war and sought peace. In this he abandoned Italy to Charles, and they agreed
on a Treaty at Cambrai which Henry effectively ignored. As a result Wolsey`s grand plan for
conservative reform and England holding the balance of power in Europe fell. Henry seized the
initiative from an absent Wolsey and so the relationship between them worsened. He stopped listening
to Wolsey and turned to other advisers and suggestions like of Crammer and

Edward R. Murrow s See It Now
Television has drastically changed over time in terms of its content, reach, and accuracy. In 1954,
journalist Edward R. Murrow and his television series See it Now were dedicated to revealing the
truth to their audience no matter how unpleasant the news. Murrow had been specifically interested in
revealing the truth about Senator Joseph McCarthy, who had carried out investigations against
government workers and those of public institutions who were believed to have ties to communism.
Murrow did not appear to feel obligated by McCarthy to only report positive things about him, despite
the fact he was a public figure with a lot of power who could destroy his company and reputation.

There is a wider variety of channels in terms of quantity and quality. People have the option to seek
news from multiple sources in order to validate it and formulate their opinions on issues. Because of
this, television does not have as much influence today as it had in the 1950s. With the development of
other forms of media such as computers, smartphones, and tablets, people generally retrieve their
news from websites and applications on these devices of which there are plenty. Therefore, if coverage
of a McCarthy type politician were produced today, it would not be as much of a burden on each
journalist because the stakes would not be as high, as there are other outlets providing similar content.
However, many of today s news channels have deviated away from the principles of journalism,
which emphasize reporting the truth and not repressing any information. In the media and television
today, there is a large emphasis on advertising and image. Many companies select news to report
based on what would help to improve their reputation and generate more profit by catering to
advertisers. If the McCarthy controversy were to happen today, news channels would report on it, but
in a way that would not jeopardize themselves. It is also likely that they would skew the news to cater
to the views of their audience and advertisers. Thus, reporters would also most likely not make
statements as bold as Murrow as they would fear McCarthy potentially destroying their

Elizabeth Bowden s The Demon Lover
The human brain is a muscle in the body with extraordinary characteristics and capabilities. It can
formulate people or ideas that appear real, when in reality the brain is constructing an illusion that
only they can see, using their fears and weaknesses against them. Elizabeth Bowden demonstrates this
in the short story The Demon Lover when the main character, Mrs. Dover, returns to her old,
abandoned house to collect her belongings, however, she is met with horrific, unwanted memories and
thoughts that engulf her and present her fear through the appearance of a ghost ex lover. The Demon
Lover is not just a true ghost story, but a brilliant presentation of the main character s mental disorder
through the metaphorical use of setting and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dover s psychological instability also appears through the use of her selection of detail. After entering
the house Mrs. Dover stumbles across a letter, and upon reading it discovers it states to expect me,
therefore, at the hour arranged. Until then... K (Bowden 161). The letter is the first sign of the main
character s delusion represented through an ex lover, as the letter is signed K , which is the first initial
of Mrs. Dover s first name, Kathleen. Upon reading the letter, she is confronted with a flashback of a
young girl talking to the soldier in the garden, (Bowden 161) with the young girl representing her and
the soldier representing the fiancé. The letter and the flashback are both details embedded into the
story by Bowden to represent the protagonist s unrealistic grasp on reality after going to the house,
converging the past with the present and losing perception of which one is which. Bowden uses an
abundance of details throughout the story, however, the one detail that is left out, seemly purposefully,
is the details of the ex lover s face. Mrs. Dower expresses that she remembered several aspects about
man, but under no circumstance could she remember his face (Bowden 163). She decides to leave the
house before any clock can strike; yet she does not know from whom she is running. This detail
implies that Mrs. Dover could be running from anyone, including her own fears and consciousness,
allowing her imagination to run wild, and furthering the idea that The Demon Lovers is an exemplary
piece of psychological

Digital Code Of Programming And Software Development Packages
ABSTRACT A text editor is an application which is used to edit the text files. Text editor has
enormous features so they are very important for the user. So various text editors are available with
various operating systems and many software development packages. These text editors can be used to
change the source code of programming languages and various configuration files present inside the
system. Often these are very easy to use as they are small and many others provide a broad range of
utility and functionality. There are a wide range of windows text editors such as Notepad which comes
along with Microsoft Windows systems. This text editor developed in a JAVA platform is a replica of
the word editors we all are familiar with and which we use quite often on a daily basis. The only
difference being that, this editor has been created using JAVA for the front end interface. Text editor in

Chris Stapleton s Music Analysis
Chris Stapleton released his debut album, Traveller, in the Spring of 2015. This album is characterized
by what I would describe as a traditional country feel, but with a slightly more modern sound, or to be
more technical, a country rock meets blues album. This record, and Chris Stapleton himself, went
relatively unnoticed by the general public after initial release. It was not until the 2015 CMA awards
when Stapleton performed Tennessee Whiskey with Justin Timberlake that his album truly took off
(Welch). Since then, songs from Traveller can frequently be heard on national country radio stations,
as well as on tour, a show I will be attending in May. The reason I chose to review Traveller is because
Tennessee Whiskey sucker punched me in the best way possible. By this I mean that before I heard the
song, I had been ignoring most new country music and artists because I had not been connecting with
the music like I did in previous years. For the past seven years of my life I have been listening to
almost exclusively rock and metal music, music ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Might As Well Get Stoned, Stapleton goes high in a broken manner, which would typically seem like a
mistake, however the brokenness of the notes only adds to Stapleton s emotional delivery of the song.
Sometimes I Cry is one of the most vocally profound country songs I have ever found. The first time I
listened to it, I genuinely got chills as the whole song is such an experience. The vocals of this song
are similar to Jackie Wilson s song Please Tell Me Why, as both are weeper style, though Stapleton s is
a more subdued version of it. This song best exemplifies his range on Traveller as it is easy to tell that
he puts everything into

dream a child receive as a gift, then the horror that came next to mind was told true. There was the
taste of blueberries in her mouth that did nothing to help with the discomfort and had only added more
sorrow to what she was now experiencing. Wherever this hot dark place was and where the tang of
blueberry in her mouth came from, only the gods knew and she was too young to be recognized by
them as one of their servants to ask those questions. This only added to the enormous mountain of
confusion her mind was unsuccessfully trying to sort out. The last thing she remembered was of a
wonderful bed bell dream gift, but it had suddenly turned dark and scary. Her mother and father both

without her father felt terribly wrong. She could not remember a moment when she did not have her
father near. It mattered little if it was to break their fast at dawn, share sun high

Race And Social Class Inequality Essay
Race+Social Class+Economic Class=Value? As shown throughout history, race and social class have
played a large role in determining people s values this is based on the specific culture and the societal
values fostered by their environment. In the case of the United States, as a result of the enslavement of
people of color, white people were seen to have the most value . The higher up socio economically
white people were, the more they were considered valuable. In the 1920 s, racism was still enforced
by laws (such as Jim Crow) and this idea of blackness correlating with no value was emphasized by
society through segregation and stigma stemming from slavery. One way that people of color went
around their race during this time period to escape the prejudice that correlated was through the
method of passing as white. This method and its implications can be seen in Nella Larsen s Passing
through looking at the characters Irene Redfield and Clare Kendry, who mobilize themselves on each
side of the color line. In the novel, Irene and Clare have very different reasons for passing Irene passes
for convenience, while Clare passes to alter her lifestyle and identity completely. This shift in identity
as a means of changing societal implications aligns with Women on the Market by Luce Irigaray,
which sheds light on the idea of the exchange of women. According to Irigaray, women are
commodities their value is dependent on their social, economic, and marital statuses. The most

Jean is shaken up by this horrific site by saying that when he looked at the man s face he could fell like the man was blaming him for his death. He reminisces on all the horrific events emotionally that left him scarred, however, he goes on to say that this was the most horrible impression that he could take away from the war front. Jean later goes on to describe the agony and numerous positions where the corpse would lay. Personally, as the reader, I could really fell the suffering of the dying soldiers when Jean describes the glass eyes and twisted mouths of the dead bodies in the trench . This evidence took a toll on Jean because he leaves the scene in disgust and without hope of a return home. Lastly, the war ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. How Marketing Can Be Defined As A Managerial And Social... Marketing can be defined as a managerial and social process whereby groups and individuals obtain what they need or desire through the creation of a product, offering it and exchanging the product of value with others. Some of the marketing concepts include needs, wants, and demand; products; cost, value, and satisfaction; transactions and exchanges; networks and relationships; markets; marketers and prospects. A need is a state by which basic satisfaction is deprived. A need is usually a biological concept that is not created by the marketer. Examples of needs are thirst, safety, shelter, food and clothing. Wants, on the other hand, can be defined as the desire for a particular satisfaction of need that is considered to be another level of need. An example of a want is when an individual is in need of food; he would want the food to be prepared in a particular way and would want the food to be fish or chicken. Demand, on the other hand, is a want of a particular product backed by the ability as well as willingness to buy the product. A product can be defined as goods and services that bring forth the satisfaction to human needs, wants and value. Cost satisfaction, on the other hand, is defined as the consumer estimates and the capacity of the product to satisfy another need. For one to get the value of something then there must be something that he is able to give up the opportunity cost. In most cases, the Bible is used as the basis for formation of laws and rules that govern society. The Bible and Politics: In today s society, there are Christians who have unhealthy focus on social and political issues to an extent that it is detrimental to their personal testimony and the gospel in general. On the other hand, there are those who argue that Christians should have minimal or nothing to do with politics (Specht, n.d.). • 15. The Irony Of Socrates The first thing to register when considering the concept of irony in connection to Socrates is that, contrarily to what one might expect, in no passage of Plato s work does Socrates or any of his associates refer to him as an ironist. Rather, it was his opponents who accused him to be an eiron, that is, someone who practices irony. This is because up to Socrates times, the standard understanding of the Greek word eironeia was exclusively that of deception or dissembling. More precisely, as David Wolfsdorf shows discussing a passage from Oppian s On Hunting, erioneia is the use of deception to profit at the expense of another by presenting oneself as benign in an effort to disarm the intended victim. Accordingly, eironeia and its derivatives were originally meant as terms of abuse, and Plato reserves them more properly for the sophists. Hence, when Socrates opponents accuse him of being an ironist, they are claiming that he is a liar. One such occasion is the charge moved by Trasymachus against Socrates in the first book of the Republic: Ye gods! Here we have the well known irony [italics mine] of Socrates, and I knew it and predicted that when it came to replying you would refuse and dissemble and do anything rather than answer any question that anyone asked you. (Republic I, 337 A3 7) Basically, Thrasymachus is accusing Socrates of being an ironist because, according to him, Socrates is feigning ignorance, prefering to ask questions rather than answer ... For x = 0.15, decreasing from 300 to 147 K, the ZFC and FC curves are virtually indistinguishable, and then an abrupt magnetic transition from PM to FM with a pronounced ZFC FC irreversibility appears at a TC of ~146 K, as shown in Figure 3a. Noticeably, with a slightly increase in the Gd content from 0.15 to 0.17, the M(T) curves (Figure 3b) exhibit entirely different features, in which two magnetic transitions are clearly observed. One is the typical PM FM phase transition located at high temperature (TC1), and the other is the FM antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition at low temperature (TC2). Further increasing the Gd content, the TC1 shifts to high temperatures (from 164 to 239 K), while the TC2 gradually moves towards low temperature (from 118 to 99 K) as demonstrated in Figures 3c and 3d. In addition, to further verify the low temperature magnetic features, the temperature dependent high magnetic field magnetization was measured under 20 kOe, as shown in the insets of Figures 3a d. Obviously, a typical AFM peak is observed from the inset as displayed in Figures 3b d, and the decreased slope of PM FM transition suggest that it is the second order transition induced by Gd doping. Under this clause, the Government has taken the responsibility of education; not to micro manage the education system, but instead to increase the efficiency of it. In the past, states and local governments have maintained primary control of the education system, which has led to many problems. The differences in curriculum, quality, and administering as well as other aspects of public education are vastly different around the country, which has actually inhibited America s ability to succeed. Many of these issues could be resolved with a shift in power in terms of who is controlling the country s academic system. The Federal Government should have a significant amount of regulating responsibility in America s education system, because it standardizes the quality of education across the country, presents an opportunity of equal education for all students, and regulates teachers. With the Federal Government regulating education, a national standard of schooling will become available. Studds, as a publicly elected representative, wasn t just representing himself when he committed his actions, but was rather representing a very young social cause. When first discovered, his actions harmed that cause. Studds s case is particularly important because he was first: his actions established negative precedent an example of behavior to be followed for all of those potential LGBT candidates that would follow. Studds was re elected the next year with little trouble, despite the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. What Is Nanotechnology Based Drug Delivery System Overview Nanotechnology based drug delivery systems are the use of capsules between 1nm and 100nm large to store medicine within them and protect the drugs until it reaches the affected area it must treat. This method allows smaller amounts of drugs to enter the body and prevent severe side effects by reacting with unaffected parts of the body. These nanocapsules travel in the bloodstream and release the drugs once in close proximity to the affected area. The main focus for this application is to treat cancer, where the capsules can either identify and attach to cancer cells or a magnet worn by the patient can trigger the capsule once it reaches a specific place in the body. Risk Benefit The nano drug delivery system beats previous methods ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This technology is also being looked into for creating diagnostics to identify abnormal cells in the body. Currently, none of this technology has been applied to clinics as there is not enough data to support the safety of nanoparticles in the body. However, experiments and further development are still occurring to allow for its use in the future. Current Regulations/Suggestions The Canadian Environmental Protection Act allows the regulation of nanomaterials that are imported or produced in Canada. Importers and manufacturers of nanomaterials must provide information about the products to government officials who can evaluate the potential effects it may have on the environment and the people living in Canada. A change to the act has been proposed to increase the regulation of nanotechnology in Canada. Currently, products don t need to indicate the use of nanotechnology and there is not enough information to conclude the possibility of pollution towards air, water, and soil. As nano drug delivery systems are still in the developmental stages, there aren t any regulations currently set in place. However, these nanoparticles must be examined for any hazardous properties and potential issues that may occur if it were used in a patient such as a reaction to an unaffected area or poisoning. Health/Safety Precautions Protection is mandatory to avoid nanoparticles from entering the body or environment and cause serious harm. Nanoparticles can enter your ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Thomas Wolsey s fall from power Essay example The most important reason for Wolsey s fall from power was his failure to obtain a divorce. How far do you agree? Wolsey was a cardinal and statesman, Henry s lord chancellor and most faithful servant, whom he was most reliant upon. From 1515 to 1529 Wolsey s rule was undisputed. Henry VIII delegated more and more state business to him, including near complete control of England s foreign policy. Wolsey s finest hour was arranging the Field of Cloth of Gold. Wolsey used his wealth to indulge his passion for building, his grand style of living made him increasingly unpopular. Wolsey s failure to arrange an annulment for Henry was quickly followed by his downfall. In this essay I will look how far this was the main reason for his collapse ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Catherine was not willing to let go easily as this meant her child Mary could be made illegitimate, she was also a strong Catholic and believed that she was supposed to be Queen of England. She refused to go to a convent and refused to go to the hearing in London, which is why she appealed in Rome, this gave her a stronger chance to win her case. Another strong reason was the fact that Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor and Catharine s nephew was holding the Pope hostage and had him under house arrest. Charles V had invaded Italy and therefore the Pope was in no position to agree a divorce (considering the family connections). In normal circumstances he may have gotten the divorce. When the final failure of Wolsey s efforts to secure the divorce became apparent the king turned on his once faithful and most trusted servant. Henry felt let down and Wolsey was no longer useful. In addition Wolsey was becoming less successful as on the political front Charles V had taken Italy while Francis I had grown tired of the war and sought peace. In this he abandoned Italy to Charles, and they agreed on a Treaty at Cambrai which Henry effectively ignored. As a result Wolsey`s grand plan for conservative reform and England holding the balance of power in Europe fell. Henry seized the initiative from an absent Wolsey and so the relationship between them worsened. He stopped listening to Wolsey and turned to other advisers and suggestions like of Crammer and ... • 31. Edward R. Murrow s See It Now Television has drastically changed over time in terms of its content, reach, and accuracy. In 1954, journalist Edward R. Murrow and his television series See it Now were dedicated to revealing the truth to their audience no matter how unpleasant the news. Murrow had been specifically interested in revealing the truth about Senator Joseph McCarthy, who had carried out investigations against government workers and those of public institutions who were believed to have ties to communism. Murrow did not appear to feel obligated by McCarthy to only report positive things about him, despite the fact he was a public figure with a lot of power who could destroy his company and reputation. Working for CBS, the news Murrow reported had been extremely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is a wider variety of channels in terms of quantity and quality. People have the option to seek news from multiple sources in order to validate it and formulate their opinions on issues. Because of this, television does not have as much influence today as it had in the 1950s. With the development of other forms of media such as computers, smartphones, and tablets, people generally retrieve their news from websites and applications on these devices of which there are plenty. Therefore, if coverage of a McCarthy type politician were produced today, it would not be as much of a burden on each journalist because the stakes would not be as high, as there are other outlets providing similar content. However, many of today s news channels have deviated away from the principles of journalism, which emphasize reporting the truth and not repressing any information. In the media and television today, there is a large emphasis on advertising and image. Many companies select news to report based on what would help to improve their reputation and generate more profit by catering to advertisers. If the McCarthy controversy were to happen today, news channels would report on it, but in a way that would not jeopardize themselves. It is also likely that they would skew the news to cater to the views of their audience and advertisers. Thus, reporters would also most likely not make statements as bold as Murrow as they would fear McCarthy potentially destroying their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Elizabeth Bowden s The Demon Lover The human brain is a muscle in the body with extraordinary characteristics and capabilities. It can formulate people or ideas that appear real, when in reality the brain is constructing an illusion that only they can see, using their fears and weaknesses against them. Elizabeth Bowden demonstrates this in the short story The Demon Lover when the main character, Mrs. Dover, returns to her old, abandoned house to collect her belongings, however, she is met with horrific, unwanted memories and thoughts that engulf her and present her fear through the appearance of a ghost ex lover. The Demon Lover is not just a true ghost story, but a brilliant presentation of the main character s mental disorder through the metaphorical use of setting and ... After entering the house Mrs. Dover stumbles across a letter, and upon reading it discovers it states to expect me, therefore, at the hour arranged. Until then... K (Bowden 161). The letter is the first sign of the main character s delusion represented through an ex lover, as the letter is signed K , which is the first initial of Mrs. Dover s first name, Kathleen. Upon reading the letter, she is confronted with a flashback of a young girl talking to the soldier in the garden, (Bowden 161) with the young girl representing her and the soldier representing the fiancé. The letter and the flashback are both details embedded into the story by Bowden to represent the protagonist s unrealistic grasp on reality after going to the house, converging the past with the present and losing perception of which one is which. Bowden uses an abundance of details throughout the story, however, the one detail that is left out, seemly purposefully, is the details of the ex lover s face. Mrs. Dower expresses that she remembered several aspects about man, but under no circumstance could she remember his face (Bowden 163). She decides to leave the house before any clock can strike; yet she does not know from whom she is running. This detail implies that Mrs. Dover could be running from anyone, including her own fears and consciousness, allowing her imagination to run wild, and furthering the idea that The Demon Lovers is an exemplary piece of psychological ... • 35. Chris Stapleton s Music Analysis Chris Stapleton released his debut album, Traveller, in the Spring of 2015. This album is characterized by what I would describe as a traditional country feel, but with a slightly more modern sound, or to be more technical, a country rock meets blues album. This record, and Chris Stapleton himself, went relatively unnoticed by the general public after initial release. It was not until the 2015 CMA awards when Stapleton performed Tennessee Whiskey with Justin Timberlake that his album truly took off (Welch). Since then, songs from Traveller can frequently be heard on national country radio stations, as well as on tour, a show I will be attending in May. The reason I chose to review Traveller is because Tennessee Whiskey sucker punched me in the best way possible. By this I mean that before I heard the song, I had been ignoring most new country music and artists because I had not been connecting with the music like I did in previous years. For the past seven years of my life I have been listening to almost exclusively rock and metal music, music ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On Might As Well Get Stoned, Stapleton goes high in a broken manner, which would typically seem like a mistake, however the brokenness of the notes only adds to Stapleton s emotional delivery of the song. Sometimes I Cry is one of the most vocally profound country songs I have ever found. The first time I listened to it, I genuinely got chills as the whole song is such an experience. The vocals of this song are similar to Jackie Wilson s song Please Tell Me Why, as both are weeper style, though Stapleton s is a more subdued version of it. This song best exemplifies his range on Traveller as it is easy to tell that he puts everything into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This sweat was dripping off her as if it was forced water cascading from a small opening at the top of the head of a statue standing in the center of a fountain. However, it wasn t a statue standing in the center of a fountain, but a small child on her knees leaning up against a wall. If this was not the worst bed bell dream a child receive as a gift, then the horror that came next to mind was told true. There was the taste of blueberries in her mouth that did nothing to help with the discomfort and had only added more sorrow to what she was now experiencing. Wherever this hot dark place was and where the tang of blueberry in her mouth came from, only the gods knew and she was too young to be recognized by them as one of their servants to ask those questions. This only added to the enormous mountain of confusion her mind was unsuccessfully trying to sort out. The last thing she remembered was of a wonderful bed bell dream gift, but it had suddenly turned dark and scary. Her mother and father both had tears in their eyes and her father more so of the two. She was chosen to go on a very important adventure, but she had to do so without him. Just the thought of doing something this important without her father felt terribly wrong. She could not remember a moment when she did not have her father near. It mattered little if it was to break their fast at dawn, share sun high ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Race And Social Class Inequality Essay Race+Social Class+Economic Class=Value? As shown throughout history, race and social class have played a large role in determining people s values this is based on the specific culture and the societal values fostered by their environment. In the case of the United States, as a result of the enslavement of people of color, white people were seen to have the most value . The higher up socio economically white people were, the more they were considered valuable. In the 1920 s, racism was still enforced by laws (such as Jim Crow) and this idea of blackness correlating with no value was emphasized by society through segregation and stigma stemming from slavery. One way that people of color went around their race during this time period to escape the prejudice that correlated was through the method of passing as white. This method and its implications can be seen in Nella Larsen s Passing through looking at the characters Irene Redfield and Clare Kendry, who mobilize themselves on each side of the color line. In the novel, Irene and Clare have very different reasons for passing Irene passes for convenience, while Clare passes to alter her lifestyle and identity completely. This shift in identity as a means of changing societal implications aligns with Women on the Market by Luce Irigaray, which sheds light on the idea of the exchange of women. According to Irigaray, women are commodities their value is dependent on their social, economic, and marital statuses. The most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At the conclusion of the film, with tears streaming down my face, it was a choice with no regrets. The storyline for the film centers around two main characters, Forrester and Lamar. Forrester played by Sean Connery, is an eccentric, reclusive, Pulitzer prize winning novelist, living in a high rise building in New York city. Forrester has not left his apartment in over a decade. His personality shines, only when he is on the basketball court, or writing his poetic thoughts down in a large collection of journals, he has written in over the years.
