Otto Von Bismarck Research Paper
Otto von Bismarck was the prime minister of Prussia and later became the first chancellor of the
German Empire in which he initiated. When the German Empire was established, Bismarck was adept
in representing its domestic and foreign policies. According to Kissinger (1968) this was Bismarck s
legacy in which he was victorious domestically in his pursuit for German unification. Bismarck s
views were more conservative, which he believed maintained the status quo. He did not favor
liberalism in the German Confederacy because he believed the common man did not have the right to
bargain with nobility. Revolutionary changes were reserved for the educated and the wealthy
landowners. Common people such as peasants and crafts workers were subjects to ... Show more

Bismarck provided national security through border control, for example France who saw Germany as
an economic and military threat. He negotiated treaties with Russia, thus isolating France from an
alliance. During Bismarck s reign as Germany s first chancellor, the five strongest nations in Europe
were Britain, Russia, France, Austria, and Germany. According to Padje (1999) Bismarck frequently
complained about not being able to depend on Britain toward any diplomatic resolutions. However,
the chancellor kept his focus on Russia and Austria to benefit German interests. Bismarck also
displayed great interests in being a colonial power like Britain. The German Empire established
colonies in Africa just like other powerful nations in Europe. Bismarck took pleasure in his
challenging status in the domain of foreign affairs during his time as chancellor, where he helped to
keep the peace in Europe and established Germany s recognition of a world

Mollie Goodnight Research Paper
Mollie Goodnight did all that she could throughout her whole life from taking care of her siblings
right after both of her parents deaths, to just teaching some of her husband s farm hands how to read.
Mollie tried to do her best even in the darkest of times, which is one of the reasons that she is one of
the best women Texas has ever had. Mollie was born on September 12,1839 in Madison County,
Tennessee to a loving mother and a fabulous father. Her father was the reason that they came to Texas
in the first place in 1845 near Fort Belknap in North Texas. Ten years after moving to Texas, Mollie s
mother died, her father following only two years later, leaving Mollie alone with her five younger
brothers. Mollie got a job as a schoolteacher to support her and her brothers. Later though, Mollie met
a greatly known cattle rancher named Charles Goodnight most known for being called the Father of
the Texas Panhandle . They both got married on July 26, 1870 and had no children throughout their
marriage. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the ranch, Mollie was able to accomplish a number of things, but most notably she started the
Goodnight buffalo herd by first only adopting a few orphan buffalo, but eventually the group grew
until she had an entire herd. Ms.Goodnight also started the Goodnight college, which was established
in 1898, besides the college in their name the Goodnight also has a town named after them in
Colorado. Later in Mollie and Charles life, their house became a tourist attraction for the occasional
passerby to pop in and look at their house as the years went on and the old western years started to
disappear. Mollie and Charles lived in their house for the entire 56 years that they were married until
Mollie started failing in health in the early 1920 s, eventually dying in in early April of

The Indian Media Used Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa is one of the most written about and publicized women of the 20th century. She is the
second most advertised religious celebrity after Pope John Paul II. Due to her fame, many people
willingly step forward to offer their support and praise her work.
The Indian media used Mother Teresa as a figure for a movement towards bettering the lives of those
in the lower castes. They believe that if the Indian people were seeing a white, foreign woman caring
for their family and neighbors that many would take up the cause to help as well. Mother Teresa s
presence was also helpful during the political unrest of India. She was the symbol of a better country
during India s fight for independence from Britain, the separation from Pakistan in 1947, the Civil War
of 1971, and the creation of Bangladesh. Mother Teresa was proving that one could give up one s
entire life and need no material possessions and spread love and support to all. She lived a simple life,
surrounded in strong faith, while believing in the compassion of humans.
However, not everyone believed that Mother Teresa had proven herself as a living saint. Many people
questioned her health, her mental sanity, and her work. Throughout her life, Mother Teresa suffered
from ill health. While not much is known about her childhood and her health during this time, it is
known that the Bojaxhiu family traveled each year to comfort Mother Teresa s poor health. While in
India, as a Loreto Sister, Mother Teresa became

Advantages Of International Trade For Developing Nations
Advantages of international trade for developing nations
Although the concept of free trade and globalisation may subtly imply a polarity between the
developed and developing worlds, it can be argued that, in order to function successfully, the pressure
to create a competitive and comparative advantage hold all nations on a level playing field. Sinclair
Davidson (2015) cited David Ricardo (1821) in his argument that foreign trade is, indeed, beneficial to
a country, for a number of reasons. By reducing the cost of commodities and raising living standards
through the creation of jobs, international trade allows developing countries to create a competitive
advantage.
Michael Porter s diamond model of competitive advantage, published in 1990, sought to understand
why a particular nation had the ability to succeed in a particular industry (Hill, 2015). Within the
model are four attributes that include demand conditions; related and supporting industries; factor
endowments and firm strategy; and structure and rivalry (Hill, 2015). Upon the fulfillment of all four
attributes, the country in question will be regarded as holding a competitive advantage in a particular
industry. Porter argues that these factors are created, not endowed (Bernard, 2016). Beyond these four
factors, the government may intervene to an extent, whilst still remaining true to the spirit of free trade
non intervention or disruption. They do so through trade policies that have an influence over the
imports,

Gregor Mendel Biography Essay
I am convinced that it will not be long before the whole world acknowledges the results of my work.
Gregor Mendel
Mendel was actually correct in his thoughts. Although his work was ignored for thirty four years, it
was rediscovered in 1900, which was sixteen years after his death. Also in 1900 he was recognized as
the Father of Genetics . Through his experiments, he discovered the principles of heredity. His
observations became the foundation of modern genetics. Johann Mendel, who wasn t given the name
Gregor until he became a monk, was born into a German family on July 22, 1822 in what was then
Heinzendorf, Austria. He was named after an uncle on his father s side of the family. He is the son of

Napp wanted to know why Gregor had failed. Andreas von Baumgartner, the professor, answered that
Gregor needed training in science. Baumgartner thought Mendel should go to the University of Vienna
and convinced Abbot Napp that this was the best thing to do. After Napp quickly made the plans, and
Mendel was on his way to Vienna in October.
Mendel was now twenty nine years old. Mendel s first class was in physics. His teacher was Christian
Doppler, who was famous for discovering the Doppler effect. Professor Doppler taught Mendel how
to do experiments. Doppler also taught him about mathematics and how to use it. Soon, Gregor started
to feel more comfortable in the world of science. He began to think like like a scientist. He was also
becoming one.
During his Christmas break at Brünn , Mendel thought about what he had learned from reading a book
by Baumgartner. He also spent the Easter holiday at the monastery in 1852. Then after the holiday, it
was time to go back to Vienna and the beginning of classes in botany. These classes taught Mendel

Greek Government Vs Athenian Government
Ancient Government Government should be by those people with enough time on their hands to
pursue virtue. Aristotle, one of the greatest philosophers of all time, spoke these words. Researchers
believe that the Athenian Constitution is supposedly a copy of Aristotle s book, Politics, which was
made for research for his students. Aristotle defines the constitution as a certain ordering of the
inhabitants of the city state. (1) The ancient Athenian government was a democracy. Ancient Rome on
the other hand, had a mixed constitution (2). Polybius writes the analysis of Constitution of the Roman
Republic where he outlines the distinct branches of the Roman government and he explains why it
worked. Rome was the most successful society prior to 300 BCE, because of the improvements they
made in government, engineering, and the army, which still affects society today. ... Show more

It was developed in the city state of Athens and included the nearby city state of Attica, in 508 BCE.
Athens had the most powerful democracy around at that time. Several other city states followed the
same type of democracy because of the way it worked. The Athenian democracy had three branches of
government: the Ekklesia, the Boule, and the Dikasteria. It is truly amazing how the Athenian
democracy achieved the concept of equal rights and created a system where no person or group can be
more powerful than the other. The Athenian constitution is an interpretation on the development of
constitutional in ancient Greece. The text of the constitution is written history of from a political
standpoint. It outlines the progression of Greek rulers, and their rights and privileges. The constitution
traces rulers along with their constitutional reforms all the way back to 403 BCE. Aristotle touches on
topics of earlier Greek history where democracy first started. Depicting from Aristotle s analysis,

Barbary Pirates Revolutionary War
After the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1783, the United States of America had officially gained
their independence after a hard fought and grueling revolution against Great Britain. The new republic
was eager to enter the world of global and maritime trade and hoped to maintain and thrive on their
newly achieved freedom. However, the Americans soon realized there were consequences for no
longer being a part of the British empire: there was no powerful navy to protect them from
international threats, such the the Barbary pirates (London, 13 15). They had to start working on their
own protection. America s war with the Barbary pirates helped establish the U.S. navy and shape the
nation after the Revolutionary War. The Barbary pirates operated off the coast of North Africa since
the time of the Crusades. The pirates were essentially sponsored by the Arab rulers in Morocco,
Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli. They are said to have sailed as far north as Iceland, attacking ports, taking
captive people as slaves, and plundering merchant ships. Most countries found it easier and cheaper to
bribe the pirates instead of fighting them in a war. Seafaring nations would ... Show more content on

Aging Is Defined As The Process Of Aging
Aging John Pickett Mind, Brain, and Intelligence Aging Aging is defined as the process of growing
old but there are many different things that take place during the process of ageing that help define
what aging truly is. We will explore the steps and stages of aging from birth to the end of life. Erikson
s stages of adult development gives a timeline of physical and mental aging in which the ability to
resolve crisis plays a huge role in successful development over the life span. The trust vs. mistrust
stage takes place from birth to 12 months when an infant learns to trust the person who is caring for
them. If rejection takes place during this stage the infant may believe that all people are not unreliable
and have problems with trusting throughout the stages that follow the trust and mistrust stage.
However if the infant feels secure the parent or caregiver has laid a great foundation that carries over
throughout the stages that follow the trust and mistrust stage. As we age this very foundation may
become key in how we handle relationships throughout the duration of our lives. (Hill, 2005, p. 25)
The autonomy vs. shame and doubt stage is from about 2 to 3 years old when we feel the need to
become independent through simple tasks such as dressing and feeding ourselves. Many first time
parents delay the need for independence for their children at this age for fear of them hurting
themselves and the child may develop self doubt. Self doubt

The Cause For Increasing Fire Activity Is Climate Change
One leading cause for increasing fire activity is climate change. Over the past several hundred years,
average temperatures across the globe have increased. Warming temperatures have shortened winter
and spring by melting snow packs and drying out areas prematurely. They have also staved off the
chilling temperatures of fall. Altogether, summer and the firefighting season is 78 days longer than it
was, even in the last several decades. As a result, burnable fuels are exposed to extreme temperatures
for a longer period of time. Prolonged exposure to such temperatures drives the moisture out of the
fuels. Additionally, fuel moisture directly relates to fuel flammability. With high fuel moistures, fuels
like trees and shrubs will have a difficult time being ignited. Not coincidentally, fires under these
conditions tend to be creeping in nature and unable to rapidly devour land. However, when fuel
moistures low, percentages in the teens or single digits, fire can spread very rapidly and run across the
landscape. So, climate change does directly affect fire behavior and increasing fire behavior. But, that
is not all. Increasing fire behavior and increasing temperatures due to climate change is a cycle. Warm
temperatures enable fuel moistures decline and fires are able to take off and engulf millions of acres a
year in fire. In turn, fires, more specifically large ones, emit enormous amounts of exhaust. In a study
conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture, the

the Lesser Antilles from a well defined Atlantic tropical wave in that area, and became Tropical Storm
Irene on August 20, 2011. Irene reached its highest point as a 120 mph Category 3 hurricane. Irene
was ranked the seventh costliest hurricane with damages that cost around $15.6 billion in the United

The study that was analyzed utilizes a Geographic Information System (GIS) to characterize the
spatial patterns of rainfall produced by Irene and to classify other tropical cyclones that took the same
track as Irene over the United States. A GIS is a system that is designed to capture, store, maneuver,
examine, manage, and present all types of geographical data. In order to use the GIS they first had to
identify analog tropical cyclones that took a path similar to Irene over the United States which they
obtained from HURDAT. HURDAT, or the North Atlantic hurricane database, is the system that keeps
all the records for all tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea,
since 1851. Once similar tropical storms were obtained, then the latitude and longitude coordinates
from the six hourly positions of Irene were entered into the GIS and the points were then transformed
into a line feature. This line feature represents Irene s track and it was buffered by 200 kilometers to
allow for the tropical cyclones to be analyzed in this study region. The tropical cyclones that were
similar to Irene were then imported into the GIS. Once the buffer was applied there were twenty five

Hindenburg Disaster Essay
In just 34 seconds, the lives of 36 people were lost on May 6, 1937. The airship had over 97 seven
people aboard the when it burst into a ball of flames(The). Many people have theories as to why the
airship went down. Some say two of the four engines failed to maintain power. Others argue back that
a hydrogen leak was the culprit.(Found) Some even say that static electricity could have played a role
in this tragedy. Despite the fact that the Hindenburg went up in flames, it is still considered the largest
airship ever built and has impacted the way we use transportation by air today. (The) The demand for
faster transportation was the main inspiration for building the Hindenburg. German Nazis used the
airship as their main transportation. They also planned to use the airship to blast political music from

The Tragic Hero and the Tragic Story in William...
The Tragic Hero and the Tragic Story in William Shakespeare s Writing Shakespeare s tragedies are,
for the most part, stories of one person, the hero, or at most two, to include the heroine. Only the Love
Tragedies (Romeo and Juliet; Antony and Cleopatra)are exceptions to this pattern. In these plays, the
heroine is as much at the center of action as the hero. The rest of the tragedies, including Macbeth,
have single stars, so the tragic story is concerned primarily with oneperson.

ONLY GREAT MEN QUALIFY AS TRAGIC HEROES
* Peasants (merely because they re human beings) do not inspirepity and fear as great men do
* A Shakespearean tragedy, then, may be called a story of exceptional calamity leading to the death of
a man of high estate!
The pangs of despised love and the anguish of remorse, we say, are the same in a peasant and a prince.
But not to insist that they cannot be so when the prince is really a prince, when the story of a prince, or
the general, has a greatness and dignity of its own is a mistake. His fate affects the welfare of a whole
nation or empire; and when he falls suddenly from the height of earthly greatness to the dust, his fall
produces a sense of contrast, of the powerlessness of man, and the omnipotence perhaps the caprice of
Fate or Fortune, which no tale of private life could possibly rival. Such feelings are constantly invoked
by Shakespeare s tragedies again, in varying degrees.
To this point, then, we can extend the definition of

Network And Computer Systems Become Universal And Exposed,...
INTRODUCTION As networks and computer systems become universal and exposed, security threats
and risks continue to grow more rapidly. This causes enormous threats; therefore, Security specialists
and experts are continuously trying to find solutions for these kinds of threats through different
methods like attack signatures and looking for methods to prevent them. Nevertheless, as solutions are

A growing program problem in our technologically advanced society is the increase in security related

Assess Interpretations of Hatshepsut
Assess interpretations of Hatshepsut
The female pharaoh, Hatshepsut, is arguably one of the most influential people of ancient Egypt. For
thousands of years, the workings of Hatshepsut have been subject to multiple interpretations, from
both her time and the modern day. An evaluation of the effectiveness of her reign can be resolved from
the reliability and validity of evidence presented today, both primary and secondary.
In one respect, Hatshepsut is viewed as the female pharaoh who had a particularly unsuccessful reign
that was devoid of any real achievements. Historians writing in the 1970 s and 1980 s often made
sexist and unfounded assumptions about Hatshepsut s rule, including her apparent scheming to take
the throne from the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some ancient interpretations of Hatshepsut can also be perceived as negative, such as those of Seti I
and Ramses II who deliberately excluded her from the King list under the presumption that he rule
was a threat to order. Also, Thutmose III s defacement of her monuments is thought to have been done
in the act of re establishing ma at and order, as it was believed that a female ruler ultimately defied
this natural balance and therefore male dominance had to be restored.
Other interpretations deduce Hatshepsut as a highly successful pharaoh whose reign significantly
contributed the prosperity and stability of Egypt at the time. Ineni, for example, was an official under
Hatshepsut who talked highly of her; she settled the affairs of the Two Lands...whose plans are
excellent, she who satisfies the two regions when she speaks . This quote demonstrates that officials
from her context believed that she was an effective and efficient ruler who had the support of the
official and peasant class. Modern day historians such as Callender, Tyldestry and Redford also
present a balanced, more positive view of Hatshepsut as a competent and effective pharaoh who
brought peace and prosperity to Egypt. J. Tyldesley, for example, names Hatshepsut as the woman
who led a stable government, had a successful trading mission, and maintained impressive
architectural advances in her building programs. She emphasises how rather than

Continuing Education As Nurses
Continuing Education as Nurses
Introduction
The definition of education is, the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a
school or university (Merriam Webster, 2015). Education in general is important. In nursing it is
especially important because the medical field is constantly changing. In order to keep up with these
constant changes, continuing education becomes the number one way to learn the new changes. There
are many opinions regarding why education should or should not continue. In addition, continuing
education may have barriers and benefits for some.
Discussion
Continuing education is important in so many ways (Arungwa, O. T., 2014). Nursing is always

American History X

Cultural Anthropology
American History X I hate anyone that is not white Protestant, begins Danny Vinyard, the brother of a
former neo Nazi skinhead. American History X offers opinions from two sides through one character,
the ex neo Nazi Derek, and the post prison reformed Derek. The post prison formed Derek serves as a
vision of hope for present time. This powerful movie not only depicts the most disturbing aspects of
racism, but also shows how close racism is to the middle class, white Americans. American History X
is a fictional story that is told through the eyes of Derek s brother Daniel, who is being recruited in the
white power movement. This white power movement, also called skinheads, demonstrates how ...

This store was chosen because it used to be run by whites, with white associates, who got fired and

the Koreans for hiring border jumpers and so they did. Later, Daniel recalls when their mother invited
the boy s Jewish history teacher over for dinner. Things turned out of control with Derek s sister stood
up against her brother, saying that what he was doing was wrong and she didn t agree. The argument
turned violent so fast when Derek grabbed his sister s hair and began to choke her. After an argument,
Derek yelled at the teacher, and showed him his Swastika tattoo, affirming that it meant not welcome.
Derek s mom says Derek needs to move out by the morning. After everyone has fallen asleep, Daniel
informs Derek that two black guys are breaking into his car. It is this night that Derek murders the two
black guys and gets arrested shortly after pulling the trigger. Derek killed one by a terrible act known
as curbing, even after the death of the two, his facial expression showed no remorse. In prison, Derek
unhesitatingly realizes he is the minority. He finds comfort when he is taken in by another group of

Description Of A Model Case
5. Cases: Model, Related, Contrary, Borderline Invented
Model Case A model is a simple representation of something else. Avant and Walker 2011, define a
model case as an occurrence that defines the case or idea exactly. In many instances, a model is
something that the person can relate to and should come first in the study (Avant Walker, 2011).
Example of a model case: Jason is a 31 year old white male that has worked on the surgical oncology
floor for 5 years. He has a wife and a two year old son, drinks about three days a week and often yells
at his wife and son. He arrives to work every day on time and his coworkers know him for his speed,
organization and great time management. He is the charge nurse most nights and is currently
orientating a new nurse who also knows his wife. Most days, he is very short with the new hired
nurse; belittling and acting very pompous. One day, the new hire arrives to work and is visibly upset
and teary eyed, Jason does not care and proceeds to his teaching process as usual. The new nurse gets
fed up and proceeds to yell his faults to the entire night shift crew and even a few members of upper
management. The new nurse calls him the worst nurse ever and states that working together has been a
nightmare . Further elaborating that he is a monster and evil human being because of his frequent
verbal abuse directed toward his wife and son . Jason is immediately taken back and is consumed by
his guilt and shame causing him to completely

The Court Ruled Against Mr. Case
The district court ruled against Mr. Comerford s claim that the evidence brought against him was
unconstitutional. For the purpose of this legal argument, Knotts v. U.S., Kyllo v. U.S, and Katz v. U.S.
will be used to suggest to the Court that Comerford had no reasonable expectation of privacy in his
evening drug runs, and Smith v. Maryland will be used to prove that there is no expectation of privacy
regarding the phone numbers dialed. Together, these two cases prove that the government agents were
not conducting an illegal search by tracking Comerfords location using The Chum, and that the
evidence gathered by this investigation may be used against Comerford in a Court of law. In order to
claim that a search was unconstitutional, it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All tracking of Comerford carried out by the federal agents could have been completed using visual
surveillance from public areas without The Chum, making his claim of privacy invalid. Comerford
claims that the evidence seized from his car and home was the fruit of an unreasonable search, and
could not be held against him in court. However, Comerford is really only arguing against efficiency
of the law enforcement since the same tracking results are achievable through visual surveillance. In
United States v. Knotts, Justice Rehnquist states, Insofar as respondent s complaint appears to be
simply that scientific devices such as the beeper enabled the police to be more effective in detecting
crime, it simply has no constitutional foundation. We have never equated police efficiency with
unconstitutionality, and we decline to do so now . 460 U.S. 1, 3 (1983). Mr. Comerford s claim
questions the constitutionality of federal employment of technology for the purpose of efficiency,
upon which there is no reasonable basis for the claim of a Fourth Amendment violation. The case facts
clearly state that information was available to Mr. Comerford regarding the tracking of his phone s
International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI). In fact, they could be found on a website address
printed in the phone manual. Additionally, as an ex attorney, Mr. Comerford should be aware of

Torino 2006: What Kind of Olympic Winter Games Were They?

Piervincenzo Bondonio and Nadia Campaniello
Citius, Altius, Fortius! To what extent does the motto of the Olympics relate to Torino 2006? Has the

edition, with only a few exceptions, surpasses the one before? In which areas have there been
improvements, if any? To what extent have the targets set by the bid promoters and the organizers

The Representation Of The Saracens In The Song Of Roland
From the beginning of the Song of Roland, the narrator of the story lets us know exactly whose side to
be on. The Saracens would be seen as equal to Franks but on the opposing side. The way the Saracens
were represented in a negative light to make the Franks seem as though they are good guys. The
representation of the Saracens in The Song of Roland is noticeably different from the way the Franks
are viewed in the text by shedding a negative light over the Saracens to ensure that the Saracens are
seen as a negative character. This helps build a larger conflict within the story. The leaders mentioned
in the Song of Roland are represented differently to show conflict between characters. In the first
laisses they speak greatly about King Charles who is the leader of the Franks. Then transitions into
something that is not seen as good which is speaking of the King Marsile as a person who does not
love God. If the word love was replaced with the word believe it might have given the story a new
context. This would ve made the Saracens have a chance in the story. Showing conflict between
leaders in the story at the beginning is a lead into the larger conflict within the story. This helps with
choosing a side within the story. The Saracens and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Employee Empowerment Contributes to an Organizations Success
Introduction
Empowerment is a powerful tool that companies give to allow each employee to become a decision
maker. When empowered employees truly understand their potential, there is almost an immediate
positive reaction in the both the company and the individual. For a company to realize success,
employees must be trusted and empowered to make business decisions that are in line with the
company s governing policies.
The objective of this paper is to provide a better understanding of why and how employee
empowerment is critical to run a successful operation. Employees and employers both gain positive
results when the empowerment process has been successfully implemented in an organization. To

You enable your employees to succeed by providing them with the means, opportunity and capacity
they need to excel. Lawson (2006)
For empowerment to come to fruition, it can take years before all the pieces are correctly administered
and functioning on their own. Patients and understanding must be displayed as new employees are
brought on board and setbacks happen. The worst actions an organization can take are to stop
embracing the free thinking of their employees and to discontinue training. Organization must keep
their workforce engaged. As Gilbert Jamison (n.d.) wrote Bottom line, creating and sustaining a
culture of excellence cannot be achieved without fully engaged employees who feel a part of the
organization, and that they are truly valued contributors to the success of the organization.
Organizations must support their teams consistently, provide ample training to new employees, and
follow up with continuous training to keep the employee engaged. Support from all areas and a
collaborative environment must be established to embrace creative thinking. With patients and time,
the organization will become self managed through employee empowerment. Correlation between

Comparing Douglas Adams Difficulty With My Life-Style
1. Douglas Adams uses cause and effect to make a persuasive agrument about the relative impact of
the an action by explaining cause and effect is a never ending cycle. Adam s text is shows how people
actions can effect people/things and aren t consciously aware of how this effect people every day life.
There is nothing that can be done to prevent the effects of the actions that are being taken it is just a
part of life. Arthur said, I seem to be having a tremendous difficulty with my life style by Arthur
saying caused a tremendous war that could of been prevented for happening. However that was not the

A rhetorial similarity between The Penultimate Peril and The Hitchiker s Guide is both texts argue that
cause and effect have a cycle that keeps going and certain things led to something and than back
again. Peoples actions determine the different outcomes that a person decides to do. Than the
outcomes have other outcomes and that continues to go in a circle. A difference between the two texts
is Adams thinks each individual cause has a specific outcome while Snickets thinks an action can have
many outcomes. In The Hitchiker s Guide the reader can see there is only one cause to why everything
happen he is more specific in his story. In The Penultimate Peril Snickets the reader can see the
mysteries could have been solved in many ways. Snikets follow the basic rule of cause and effect
which shows any effect can have multiple possible causes; the task of cause and effect is to determine
the correct one. Snicket made a metaphor to that when he said, the world is like a calm pond, and that
anytime a person does even the smallest thing, it is as if a stone has dropped into the pond, spreading
circles of ripples further and further out, until the entire world has been changed by one tiny action.
One action can have many possibles to be

How Did The Hyksos Affect Egypt
The Hyksos had a technological, political and economic impact on Egypt. The technological
advancements introduced by the Hyksos impacted Egypt through inducing their transformation into a

later served as a catalyst for their adoption of an imperial policy. Though the Hyksos occupation had
compromised the Egyptians economically, the innovations they left financially benefited Egypt.

Egypt s subjection to Hyksos rule had disrupted their feelings of safety, and thus enabled their
awareness of security. This is first seen in Ahmose I s introduction of buffer regions between Egypt
and its Asian enemies. Furthermore, Egypt s subjugation of foreign threats in efforts to assure
prevention of future invasion reflects their new mentality. These actions exemplify Egypt s adoption
of an imperialist policy, accomplished by their adoption of Hyksos weaponry. Accordingly, M. Hayes
exemplifies the impact of the Hyksos in stating that the new warrior pharaoh s would conquer to the
limits of the world to ensure Egypt was as safe as it had once been. Thus, the Hyksos occupation had
impacted the Egyptian s political power and in turn influenced their policy on foreign powers.
Additionally, though the Hyksos occupation had undermined the Egyptians economically, the
innovations they introduced eventually enabled Egypt to financially grow. It is evident that the Hyksos
had compromised the Egyptians financially in their demands of tribute from the 17th Dynasty.
Evidence for this can be found in the Kamose stela, where he asserts that they were despoiled by the
taxes of the

Effective Communication Among Group And Team Functioning
Communication is the sharing of ideas, thoughts and information between or among individuals. The
way we communicate varies greatly among cultures throughout the world and has an extremely
powerful impact within group and team environments. Effective communication enables us to engage
in enriching social interaction with others, and allows for the creation of environments where group
and team functioning can flourish. As simple as communication may seem, much of what we express
to others has the tendency of getting misunderstood, therefore acquiring a skilled set of
communication skills is crucial to the overall success of a team and group. Effective communication is
more than simply sharing information. It is important to understand the true meaning and emotion
behind the expressed information, and this can often become quite difficult when the subjectivity and
complexity of nonverbal cues gets thrown into the mix. Throughout this paper, the meaning of
communication and its application to group and team functioning will be explored, as well as the
powerful impact it has in the health care setting. Effective communication amongst members of the
health care team promotes teamwork and possessing an experienced and competent set of
communication skills as a nurse is absolutely critical in providing safe, therapeutic and reliable care to
patients. Similarities and Differences Between Groups and Teams All teams are groups, but not all
groups are teams (Zayed Kamel, 2005).

Professional Development of Nursing Professionals
Professional Development of Nursing Professionals
The recommendations presented in the 2010 IOM report entitled Transforming Practice, Transforming
Education, and Transforming Leadership depicts how all the diverse groups in the health care arena
can work together to help make sure that the health care system offers transparent, affordable, quality
care that is available to all and leads to enhanced health. The three areas in which the report paid
particular attention were transforming practice, transforming education and transforming leadership.
Transforming Practice The future of health care demands that health professionals construct a system
that is more patient centered than it is today. Nurses have the opportunity to have a central role in
transforming the health care system in order to generate a more accessible, high quality, and value
driven atmosphere for patients. The need for this change in focus has become predominantly urgent in
respect to chronic conditions; primary care, including care coordination and transitional care;
prevention and wellness; and the prevention of adverse events, such as hospital acquired infections.
Given the aging population, moreover, the need for long term and palliative care will also continue to
grow in the coming years (Transforming Practice, Transforming Education, and Transforming
Leadership, 2010). Due to the existing concerns about a shortage of primary care health professionals
in the future, nurses are being looked

  • 2. Otto Von Bismarck Research Paper Otto von Bismarck was the prime minister of Prussia and later became the first chancellor of the German Empire in which he initiated. When the German Empire was established, Bismarck was adept in representing its domestic and foreign policies. According to Kissinger (1968) this was Bismarck s legacy in which he was victorious domestically in his pursuit for German unification. Bismarck s views were more conservative, which he believed maintained the status quo. He did not favor liberalism in the German Confederacy because he believed the common man did not have the right to bargain with nobility. Revolutionary changes were reserved for the educated and the wealthy landowners. Common people such as peasants and crafts workers were subjects to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bismarck provided national security through border control, for example France who saw Germany as an economic and military threat. He negotiated treaties with Russia, thus isolating France from an alliance. During Bismarck s reign as Germany s first chancellor, the five strongest nations in Europe were Britain, Russia, France, Austria, and Germany. According to Padje (1999) Bismarck frequently complained about not being able to depend on Britain toward any diplomatic resolutions. However, the chancellor kept his focus on Russia and Austria to benefit German interests. Bismarck also displayed great interests in being a colonial power like Britain. The German Empire established colonies in Africa just like other powerful nations in Europe. Bismarck took pleasure in his challenging status in the domain of foreign affairs during his time as chancellor, where he helped to keep the peace in Europe and established Germany s recognition of a world ... • 3. Mollie Goodnight Research Paper Mollie Goodnight did all that she could throughout her whole life from taking care of her siblings right after both of her parents deaths, to just teaching some of her husband s farm hands how to read. Mollie tried to do her best even in the darkest of times, which is one of the reasons that she is one of the best women Texas has ever had. Mollie was born on September 12,1839 in Madison County, Tennessee to a loving mother and a fabulous father. Her father was the reason that they came to Texas in the first place in 1845 near Fort Belknap in North Texas. Ten years after moving to Texas, Mollie s mother died, her father following only two years later, leaving Mollie alone with her five younger brothers. Mollie got a job as a schoolteacher to support her and her brothers. Later though, Mollie met a greatly known cattle rancher named Charles Goodnight most known for being called the Father of the Texas Panhandle . Later in Mollie and Charles life, their house became a tourist attraction for the occasional passerby to pop in and look at their house as the years went on and the old western years started to disappear. • 4. The Indian Media Used Mother Teresa Mother Teresa is one of the most written about and publicized women of the 20th century. She is the second most advertised religious celebrity after Pope John Paul II. Due to her fame, many people willingly step forward to offer their support and praise her work. The Indian media used Mother Teresa as a figure for a movement towards bettering the lives of those in the lower castes. They believe that if the Indian people were seeing a white, foreign woman caring for their family and neighbors that many would take up the cause to help as well. Mother Teresa s presence was also helpful during the political unrest of India. She was the symbol of a better country during India s fight for independence from Britain, the separation from Pakistan in 1947, the Civil War of 1971, and the creation of Bangladesh. Mother Teresa was proving that one could give up one s entire life and need no material possessions and spread love and support to all. She lived a simple life, surrounded in strong faith, while believing in the compassion of humans. However, not everyone believed that Mother Teresa had proven herself as a living saint. Many people questioned her health, her mental sanity, and her work. Throughout her life, Mother Teresa suffered from ill health. While not much is known about her childhood and her health during this time, it is known that the Bojaxhiu family traveled each year to comfort Mother Teresa s poor health. While in India, as a Loreto Sister, Mother Teresa became ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Advantages Of International Trade For Developing Nations Advantages of international trade for developing nations Although the concept of free trade and globalisation may subtly imply a polarity between the developed and developing worlds, it can be argued that, in order to function successfully, the pressure to create a competitive and comparative advantage hold all nations on a level playing field. Sinclair Davidson (2015) cited David Ricardo (1821) in his argument that foreign trade is, indeed, beneficial to a country, for a number of reasons. By reducing the cost of commodities and raising living standards through the creation of jobs, international trade allows developing countries to create a competitive advantage. Michael Porter s diamond model of competitive advantage, published in 1990, sought to understand why a particular nation had the ability to succeed in a particular industry (Hill, 2015). Within the model are four attributes that include demand conditions; related and supporting industries; factor endowments and firm strategy; and structure and rivalry (Hill, 2015). Upon the fulfillment of all four attributes, the country in question will be regarded as holding a competitive advantage in a particular industry. Porter argues that these factors are created, not endowed (Bernard, 2016). Beyond these four factors, the government may intervene to an extent, whilst still remaining true to the spirit of free trade non intervention or disruption. They do so through trade policies that have an influence over the imports, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although his work was ignored for thirty four years, it was rediscovered in 1900, which was sixteen years after his death. Also in 1900 he was recognized as the Father of Genetics . Through his experiments, he discovered the principles of heredity. His observations became the foundation of modern genetics. Johann Mendel, who wasn t given the name Gregor until he became a monk, was born into a German family on July 22, 1822 in what was then Heinzendorf, Austria. His teacher was Christian Doppler, who was famous for discovering the Doppler effect. Professor Doppler taught Mendel how to do experiments. Doppler also taught him about mathematics and how to use it. Soon, Gregor started to feel more comfortable in the world of science. He began to think like like a scientist. He was also becoming one. During his Christmas break at Brünn , Mendel thought about what he had learned from reading a book by Baumgartner. He also spent the Easter holiday at the monastery in 1852. One such campaigner was a certain Clara Mordan, who after a visit to St Hugh s, donated £1000 the very next day and eventually became a Trustee in 1907. Clara and college principal, Charlotte Anne Moberly, were aware that the continued success and development of the institution required more suitable buildings and spacious grounds. Aristotle, one of the greatest philosophers of all time, spoke these words. Researchers believe that the Athenian Constitution is supposedly a copy of Aristotle s book, Politics, which was made for research for his students. Aristotle defines the constitution as a certain ordering of the inhabitants of the city state. (1) The ancient Athenian government was a democracy. Ancient Rome on the other hand, had a mixed constitution (2). Polybius writes the analysis of Constitution of the Roman Republic where he outlines the distinct branches of the Roman government and he explains why it worked. Athens had the most powerful democracy around at that time. Several other city states followed the same type of democracy because of the way it worked. The Athenian democracy had three branches of government: the Ekklesia, the Boule, and the Dikasteria. It is truly amazing how the Athenian democracy achieved the concept of equal rights and created a system where no person or group can be more powerful than the other. The Athenian constitution is an interpretation on the development of constitutional in ancient Greece. The text of the constitution is written history of from a political standpoint. It outlines the progression of Greek rulers, and their rights and privileges. The constitution traces rulers along with their constitutional reforms all the way back to 403 BCE. • 10. Barbary Pirates Revolutionary War After the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1783, the United States of America had officially gained their independence after a hard fought and grueling revolution against Great Britain. The new republic was eager to enter the world of global and maritime trade and hoped to maintain and thrive on their newly achieved freedom. However, the Americans soon realized there were consequences for no longer being a part of the British empire: there was no powerful navy to protect them from international threats, such the the Barbary pirates (London, 13 15). They had to start working on their own protection. America s war with the Barbary pirates helped establish the U.S. navy and shape the nation after the Revolutionary War. The Barbary pirates operated off the coast of North Africa since the time of the Crusades. The pirates were essentially sponsored by the Arab rulers in Morocco, Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli. They are said to have sailed as far north as Iceland, attacking ports, taking captive people as slaves, and plundering merchant ships. The United States government even had to pay Algiers $1 million dollars for ransoms and tributes, which was 20% of America s entire annual budget at the time. The Barbary pirates also had a negative impact on the American citizens. Between 1784 and the end of the Second Barbary War, the pirates captured over 700 people. • 11. Aging Is Defined As The Process Of Aging Aging John Pickett Mind, Brain, and Intelligence Aging Aging is defined as the process of growing old but there are many different things that take place during the process of ageing that help define what aging truly is. We will explore the steps and stages of aging from birth to the end of life. Erikson s stages of adult development gives a timeline of physical and mental aging in which the ability to resolve crisis plays a huge role in successful development over the life span. The trust vs. mistrust stage takes place from birth to 12 months when an infant learns to trust the person who is caring for them. If rejection takes place during this stage the infant may believe that all people are not unreliable and have problems with trusting throughout the stages that follow the trust and mistrust stage. However if the infant feels secure the parent or caregiver has laid a great foundation that carries over throughout the stages that follow the trust and mistrust stage. As we age this very foundation may become key in how we handle relationships throughout the duration of our lives. (Hill, 2005, p. 25) The autonomy vs. shame and doubt stage is from about 2 to 3 years old when we feel the need to become independent through simple tasks such as dressing and feeding ourselves. Many first time parents delay the need for independence for their children at this age for fear of them hurting themselves and the child may develop self doubt. Self doubt ... • 14. The Cause For Increasing Fire Activity Is Climate Change One leading cause for increasing fire activity is climate change. Over the past several hundred years, average temperatures across the globe have increased. Warming temperatures have shortened winter and spring by melting snow packs and drying out areas prematurely. They have also staved off the chilling temperatures of fall. Altogether, summer and the firefighting season is 78 days longer than it was, even in the last several decades. As a result, burnable fuels are exposed to extreme temperatures for a longer period of time. Prolonged exposure to such temperatures drives the moisture out of the fuels. Additionally, fuel moisture directly relates to fuel flammability. With high fuel moistures, fuels like trees and shrubs will have a difficult time being ignited. Not coincidentally, fires under these conditions tend to be creeping in nature and unable to rapidly devour land. However, when fuel moistures low, percentages in the teens or single digits, fire can spread very rapidly and run across the landscape. So, climate change does directly affect fire behavior and increasing fire behavior. But, that is not all. Increasing fire behavior and increasing temperatures due to climate change is a cycle. Warm temperatures enable fuel moistures decline and fires are able to take off and engulf millions of acres a year in fire. In turn, fires, more specifically large ones, emit enormous amounts of exhaust. In a study conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hurricane Irene affected the Caribbean and much of the United States east coast and was one of the most damaging tropical cyclones of the 2011 Atlantic tropical cyclone season. Irene originated east of the Lesser Antilles from a well defined Atlantic tropical wave in that area, and became Tropical Storm Irene on August 20, 2011. Irene reached its highest point as a 120 mph Category 3 hurricane. Irene was ranked the seventh costliest hurricane with damages that cost around $15.6 billion in the United States. The study that was analyzed utilizes a Geographic Information System (GIS) to characterize the spatial patterns of rainfall produced by Irene and to classify other tropical cyclones that took the same track as Irene over the United States. A GIS is a system that is designed to capture, store, maneuver, examine, manage, and present all types of geographical data. In order to use the GIS they first had to identify analog tropical cyclones that took a path similar to Irene over the United States which they obtained from HURDAT. HURDAT, or the North Atlantic hurricane database, is the system that keeps all the records for all tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea, since 1851. Once similar tropical storms were obtained, then the latitude and longitude coordinates from the six hourly positions of Irene were entered into the GIS and the points were then transformed into a line feature. This line feature represents Irene s track and it was buffered by 200 kilometers to allow for the tropical cyclones to be analyzed in this study region. The tropical cyclones that were similar to Irene were then imported into the GIS. Once the buffer was applied there were twenty five tropical cyclones with tracks similar to that of Irene. The Tragic Hero and the Tragic Story in William Shakespeare s Writing Shakespeare s tragedies are, for the most part, stories of one person, the hero, or at most two, to include the heroine. But not to insist that they cannot be so when the prince is really a prince, when the story of a prince, or the general, has a greatness and dignity of its own is a mistake. His fate affects the welfare of a whole nation or empire; and when he falls suddenly from the height of earthly greatness to the dust, his fall produces a sense of contrast, of the powerlessness of man, and the omnipotence perhaps the caprice of Fate or Fortune, which no tale of private life could possibly rival. For thousands of years, the workings of Hatshepsut have been subject to multiple interpretations, from both her time and the modern day. An evaluation of the effectiveness of her reign can be resolved from the reliability and validity of evidence presented today, both primary and secondary. In one respect, Hatshepsut is viewed as the female pharaoh who had a particularly unsuccessful reign that was devoid of any real achievements. Historians writing in the 1970 s and 1980 s often made sexist and unfounded assumptions about Hatshepsut s rule, including her apparent scheming to take the throne from the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some ancient interpretations of Hatshepsut can also be perceived as negative, such as those of Seti I and Ramses II who deliberately excluded her from the King list under the presumption that he rule was a threat to order. Also, Thutmose III s defacement of her monuments is thought to have been done in the act of re establishing ma at and order, as it was believed that a female ruler ultimately defied this natural balance and therefore male dominance had to be restored. Other interpretations deduce Hatshepsut as a highly successful pharaoh whose reign significantly contributed the prosperity and stability of Egypt at the time. Ineni, for example, was an official under Hatshepsut who talked highly of her; she settled the affairs of the Two Lands...whose plans are excellent, she who satisfies the two regions when she speaks . This quote demonstrates that officials from her context believed that she was an effective and efficient ruler who had the support of the official and peasant class. Modern day historians such as Callender, Tyldestry and Redford also present a balanced, more positive view of Hatshepsut as a competent and effective pharaoh who brought peace and prosperity to Egypt.
