The Cost Of Real Estate Essay
For the past several years, the housing market has been mutually beneficial for both buyer and seller.
The cost of real estate has risen but has maintained or gained value. People who have owned their
home for quite awhile are seeing astronomical amounts of money to be made off the sale of their
home, and so the market has been inundated with housing for sale. It leads us to wonder whether this
boom is heading for the crash. Is now still a good time to buy? If so, what type of property will
continue to gain value? Will new buyers end up stuck in their home as the value drops? As a
homeowner, I am nervous about the state of the real estate market. This is not the house my family
wants to call its home forever, but could we get stuck here? Yes, we could. If the housing market
drops, then so will the amount of money we could potentially make off the sale of this house. If it
drops enough then it would be possible to end up owing money upon the sale. Unless you are
independently wealthy, you hope to make money off the sale of the home to help finance the purchase
of the next home. Real estate agents will tell you that now is still a good time to buy. While it is
speculated that the market will drop within the next year or two, if you are willing to sit on your new
purchase for several years, an upswing will occur again. There is never any guarantee that you will
recoup the money paid for and put into a home. If you intend to purchase a home soon, it would be a
good idea to

The Elimination of Natural Theology Essay
The Elimination of Natural Theology
ABSTRACT: The dispute between fideists and rationalists seems intractable since those who argue for
faith alone claim that they are offended by the use of reason in religion. The advocates of reason claim
that they are equally offended by the appeal to faith. This dispute may be resolved by showing that
those who rely on faith may be seen as engaging in an experiment of living, so they can become part
of a rational experiment without having to alter their practice; in contrast, those who use reason to
justify religion can be seen as addressing a spiritual need. From an evangelical point of view, it would
be wrong to disparage the mathematician s use of the mathematical proof of God s existence (such ...

Jamesian conditions=we have, with good reason, a right to believe more than is justified by the
received canons of rationality Butlerian conditions = (i) for all practical purposes, it is sufficient to
reply to objections to religion; it is not necessary to provide positive arguments. (ii) for all practical
purposes, it is sufficient to provide probabilistic arguments, it is not necessary to provide
demonstrative arguments. integrative rationalism = consider religion an integral part of the whole
enterprise of rational inquiry and accept the following:
(A) All claims with religious content and all religiously motivated actions and practices are subject to
the same kind of rational scrutiny and evaluation as any other claim or form of behavior i.e., the
religious and the secular are at parity as far as the jurisdiction of reason is concerned. By contrast,
pure fideists reject (A) without comment; ratiocinative fideists reject (A) but attempt to explain their
rejection, and conditional rationalists refuse to accept (A) until the kind of rational scrutiny to which
religion is to be subjected is spelled out.
The Controversy
Discovering the right relationship between faith and reason matters as much as finding the right
religion matters, yet the conflict seems irresolvable. Rationalists and fideists can both claim legitimate
descent in the history of religion, but the essence of one view seems categorically unacceptable to the
other.

Introduction
Employee management is a key concept for organisations this is because it helps them to achieve
goals and targets. It is noticed that reward management serves as the major strategy that is used by the
human resource management in order to attract and keep hold of competent employees. In addition to

According to Kehoe and Wright (2013) the reward frameworks are exceptionally pivotal for an
organisation and it entails frameworks, projects, and practices that affect the activities of people. The
motivation behind rewards frameworks is that it provides a methodical method to convey positive
outcomes. The reason of this system is to give a positive outcome for contribution to deliver
constructive execution.
Moreover, with the help of reward frameworks it would be easier for the Human Resource manager to
implement effective reward policies and it might comprise diverse types of recognition,
advancements, reassignments, non money related rewards for example vacations etc. Imran et al
(2014) stated that when workers surpass their objective or surpass their standard they must be
remunerated promptly as a process for motivating them. By doing this, representatives directly
connect the prize with conduct and higher performance they have achieved. Also, the effective reward
framework must concentrate on the positive feedbacks as well as uplifting response energises the
desired method in companies. This wishes representatives to take constructive actions encouraging
rewards as reward projects must be legitimately defined in the company to support positive conduct,

Marketing Research and the Process of New Product Development
Marketing problem
In today s marketing environment, which changes rapidly, companies are enforced to adjust their
business strategy to please their customers. Adjustment of business strategy is complex desire,
especially to those firms which try to offer to their customers more, better and different products or
services. Hence, we can see marketing problem, which will be defined through problematic questions:
* Why marketing research is important for the new product development? * How to apply marketing
research to the new product development? * How companies find and develop new product ideas? *
How companies manage the process of new product development in today s environment?

The problem is that some managers will search for whatever information that they can get, without
thinking what they really need. That is the problem, because too much information can be harmful as
too little, because it is not important to have a lot of information, it is important to have useful ones.
The MIS helps to provide decision makers with information that they should have to make effective
marketing decisions. Also, company needs to decide whether the benefits of having additional
information are worth of costs of providing it, and both cost and the value are hard to assess. That
means that the managers should weigh the costs of getting more information against the benefits
resulting from it. After assessing information needs, MIS develops information from internal
databases, marketing intelligence activities and marketing research. Internal database information
sources that exist within the company... Marketing intelligence is the systematic collection and
analysis of publicly available information about competitor and developments in the marketplace.
Marketing research system that gathers evaluates and reports information on a specific environment
situation facing a company and provides sufficient information to minimize guesswork .

Presidential Rhetoric and Campaign Essay
Presidential Rhetoric and Campaign
Osama bin Laden
Osama bin Laden is a political icon to the people of Afghanistan. He has created a modern day crusade
against western civilization that people support because of his rhetorical ability to create, not only
through speech, but also through his actions, an insightful philosophy that has moved thousands of
people into action against the United States. He was able to achieve this because he chose a religious
path that people supported; he took influential persons in his life and his familial background into his
radical stance on Islamic government and created an historical movement that has affected thousands
of people.

He found that the bond held between the civilians of the U.S. was equivalent to fellowship found in
the Islamic religion, but the bond between the Muslim Brotherhood was something that was more
meaningful to him because of his devotion to his religion. The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamic
organization that s goal is to build the Muslim individual. (http://www.ummah.org.uk/ikhwan/) In
order to do this they reject any other religious affiliations that do not focus on the Quran or Sunna
(http://www.ummah.org.uk/ikhwan/). Because of his connection with the Muslim Brotherhood, many
went on to categorize him as an Islamist. An Islamist is one who views Islam as the total way of life
and desires to have Islamic law implemented in every aspect of life.

Osama bin Laden s major influences, Taqi al Din Ibn Tammiyah.
Taqi al Din Ibn Tammiyah is, in essence, the provoker of intolerance amongst Islamists against any

My Dreams In My Life
One summer afternoon after indulging on General Tso s Tofu and spring rolls I cracked open the crisp
fortune cookie and received a vague prophecy reading old dreams never die; they just get filed away .
My friend next to me interpreted my fortune to say that I will give up on my dreams. My other friend
then believed it said that growing up meant acquiring new aspirations. Everyone around the table
seemed to have their own perception of what it meant, although they all perceived it to be a rather
pessimistic and unfortunate fortune. I disagreed. I understood the aphorism to mean that although we
mature, we hold on to our ambitions as they set the foundations for who we are. While reflecting on
my old dreams a specific assignment from preschool came to mind. We were asked what we wanted to
be when we grew up. Common answers from the class included princess, fireman, teacher and all the
typical ambitions of young children. I remember my answer simply was a helper. When asked to
elaborate I simply said my goal was to help people. I don t believe my old dreams were given up on, I
believe they were filed away in the sense I have continued to hold on to them even as I have grown
up. I see myself working towards that goal when I volunteered at a doctor s office where I had the
privilege of personally aiding the patients. Shadowing a family practitioner I saw that people of all
different walks of life all did get sick and need help. I found directly communicating with the

Theme Of Feminism In Anthem, By Ayn Rand
Anthem is Against Feminism
In the novel Anthem, by Ayn Rand, the theme of female inferiority is shown throughout the novel.
Rand has been known to portray women as obedient and submissive to men in most of her novels. In
Anthem Rand shows how women are inferior to men by; showing that a woman s highest priority is to
follow a man, that men can eliminate and redetermine a woman s identity, and that women are only
there to fit the needs of a man.
In the novel, Liberty begs to never be left behind while they are in the Uncharted Forest because she
cannot live without him. Rand s view on the responsibility of women in a society is that women are a
minority in the government. Rand shows the lack of importance of females in government because,
there were five members of the Council, three of the male gender and two of the female (25 26). She
shows that the opinions of women do not have as much value as the opinion of a male. The inequality
in government represents the imbalance in opportunities and rights for women and the majority vote
favoring the men takes away the voice of the women in government. After Liberty and Equality run
away to the Uncharted Forest, Liberty shows her allegiance to Equality when she tells him: we have
followed you... and we shall follow you wherever you go. ... Do as you please with us but do not send
us away from you (82 83). Liberty promises her obedience that she will die with him if she needs to.
Rand creates the picture of a woman to sit at the feet of men and support their every need.
Equality renames Liberty two times; this is Rand s way of demonstrating man s dominance over
women. Someone s name is their identity, so him changing her name to what
he sees best is changing her into what he wants her to be. The first time he names her the Golden One
(41), and then again when they are in the forest, Gaea... the mother of a new kind of gods (99).
Equality shows that he has complete control over her and whatever he wants her name to be is what
she goes along with. When Equality sees Liberty for the first time he describes her hair as; golden as
the sun; their hair flew in the wind, shining and wild, as if it defied men to restrain it. (39). It is ironic
when Equality says that

because she points out that when they wrecked your life they wrecked mine (McEwan 253). In a way
Cecilia s revenge on her family for not only turning on Robbie, but her as well is shown in her
distance and lack of communication she has with them. It is revealed that she never forgives her sister
for what she did to her life and she never is able to presume her relationship with Robbie because she
dies in a bombing attack during the war. Cecilia is not able to reverse the ripple effect of Briony s
misconception due to her disconnect with her family, separation with her lover, and her death. Cecilia
s lover Robbie Turner is the other protagonist who is mainly impacted by Briony s false pretenses. His
life was not only turned upside down, but also ruined for the rest of his life. No one questions his guilt
or tries to prove his innocence besides Cecilia. The Tallis family who once treated him like another
son stabbed his back without questioning it. Briony took away his freedom and also his dreams. Mr.
Tallis was going to put Robbie through medical school so he could pursue his ideal job as a doctor.
Robbie was not equal with the Tallis societal status, but his intelligence put him on an even playing

The Culture Of Hip-Hop Or Pop Dance Elements
There are many significant pop dance music videos that display the culture of Hip Hop or Pop Dance
Elements. The first music video is Single Ladies by Beyoncé. This famous breakup song demonstrates
a lot of dance elements with Beyoncé and her two background dancers. Fashion is often one of the
main factors on how Hip hop has impacted our culture. Beyoncé s dark leotard outfit in the video
demonstrates the revealing clothing that woman started to wear during our time. In the previous
generation, women wore more conservative clothing that covered their arms and legs. They also
demonstrated many dance elements such as layering, leveling, and speed through the transition

that hip hop culture has not had an impact not only in America but in other countries like Korea.
Taeyang choreography is very similar to Justin Timberlake where they use a lot of hand movement to
express emotions but it s different in the sense where the background dancers almost always mirror his

My Observation At The Child Development Center
Cady At the beginning of my third observation at the Child Development Center, I decided to observe
a three year old girl that I will call Cady. I chose her because of her irrepressible attitude, which shown
through in all of her actions and loudly voiced opinions. Throughout the semester not only did I gain
developmental information about Cady, I gained some background information as well. She is the
youngest child in the CDC, having only turned three during the last semester. Not only is she the
youngest child at the CDC, she is the youngest of five children at home. Cognitive Compared to the
other three year olds at the CDC, Cady is in some ways ahead and in other ways behind in her
cognitive development. According to Piaget s theory, Cady should be right at the beginning of the
preoperational stage. By Cady s age, children are heavily involved in make believe play and can use
other items to symbolize what they want. Cady is just as advanced as everybody else she was around
and showed this ability all the times she, and other children were using various types of blocks to
build an Elsa Tower . This activity took place almost every day I was there; the children, and Cady,
knew the blocks were not actually building the ice tower that Elsa made in Frozen, but they continued
to pretend and act like it did. Another limitation of the preoperational stage was the rigid thinking the
children have. Great examples were what happened when someone broke the rules. During

The Politics of Turkish National Identity Essay
The Politics of Turkish National Identity
?Modern Turkish National identity has been shaped by events that have taken place in the region
throughout its history. The formation of the national identity can be attributed to two dichotomies of
political thought and culture. Some people want to keep in line with Turkey?s modern history as a
secular westernized country looking to join the European Union; while others hearken back to the
days of the Ottoman Empire and wish to make Turkey a divided Islamic state. Conflict between those
who consider themselves Turks and the Kurdish separatist party, a militant rebel force, has long

The history of Turkey includes the Seljuks, who brought Islam and the modern Turkish language, and
the Ottomans, who were a vast world power for centuries. This history culminated in the formation of

new republic was to form a new country and society patterned after Western Europe. Kemal, the
founder of Turkey, equated Westernization with the introduction of technology, the modernization of

Katherine Carroll s Alice s Adventures, Wonderland And...
In most Victorian literature, curious women are severely punished because Victorian society
prohibited women from indulging themselves in curiosity; this idea originates from the fear that
female knowledge would jeopardize patriarchal security (Aikens 29). In contrast, the protagonist of
Lewis Carroll s Alice s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (and What Alice
Found There) does not receive punishment for her curiosity, despite living under Victorian conditions.
Instead, Carroll replaces this prohibitive standard with a standard of freedom entitled to both genders.
Most literary critics, therefore, accept Carroll as a feminist and praise him for challenging gender
stereotypes. Others, however, are hesitant to do the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
in Cohen 16)
These gender roles are derived from natural characteristics of men and women: a woman s natural
gentleness provides the best environment for a developing child, and a man s natural intellectual and
fighting superiority make them best suited for the field (Cohen 16). Thus, while men commuted to
their place of work, women stayed home to oversee domestic duties because all Victorians, even those
who idolized women, saw [women] as the weaker sex, requiring protection and support ; they believed
that to subject the female body to any manly tasks would be to abuse it (Cohen 18). Also, Victorian
women strived for motherhood since marriage and reproduction were of utmost importance to them;
they devoted their pre marital lives to obtaining knowledge ranging from music and singing to modern
languages, solely for the purpose of attracting a husband (Corbett 22).
Though based on general characteristics, these standards do not account for every man or woman.
Who is to say that a man cannot be as nurturing or supportive as a woman, or that a woman cannot
excel intellectually or fight adeptly? Is a woman automatically incapable of living up to her male
counterpart, or is the capability to succeed in a field dependent upon the individual and not the
gender? These are the questions Carroll addresses through his depiction of Alice, the empowering
protagonist who inadvertently challenges gender stereotypes.

The Amistad Case
The Amistad Case began in April of 1839 when many Africans, including Cinque were captured and
taken to the Lomboko Slave Fortress. While in the Lomboko Slave Fortress Cinque and many others
were sold and loaded onto the Tecora that was sailing to Cuba. In June 1839, Cinque and the others
arrived in Havana, Cuba where they were sold to Jose Ruiz and Pedro Montes. This is where they
loaded the ship by the name of La Amistad. While out to sea in July Cinque is able to escape his
chains and help the others to lead them in an attack on the ship s crew. The Amistad s captain and cook
were killed, two men escaped, leaving Ruiz and Montes on the ship with the raged Africans. Cinque
ordered Montes to steer the ship and take them back to Africa. Montes steered the ship east by day and

The Africans were put on trial for murder and piracy on the Amistad. James Covey, an interpreter, was
located to translate the Africans story. In time the Africans began to learn some of the English
language. Cinque and the others decided to file charges against Ruiz and Montes for assault and false
imprisonment. Judge Andrew T. Judson presided over this case. Judge Judson reported that the capture
of the Africans and selling them into slavery in Cuba was against the 1817 English Spanish treaty.
Judge Judson then decided that the Mende Africans were transported illegally and were to be set free.
Ruiz and Mendes were taken into custody for misrepresenting the origin of the slaves on the Amistad.
Senator John Calhoun felt that if the Amistad captives are freed the South might have to begin the
Civil War 20 years early. The government decided to appeal the case. By September 1839, Lewis
Tappan, a courageous abolitionist, formed the Friend of Amistad Africans Committee. Tappan, a big
supporter of the Africans of the Amistad, helped the Africans receive education and housing, he also

Simon Farrah Abraham Character Analysis
Simon Saran is a forced to be reckoned with. His on again off again relationship with Farrah Abraham
has been documented through Teen Mom OG. The two are apparently off at the moment, though that
doesn t mean there isn t a reconciliation possible. Because Saran has been a huge part of the MTV
franchise, the show offered him his own special. This is a big deal because the ones who have been
offered the same have all been married to or have had children with the star they were attached to
while filming. Being Simon is set to air this coming Wednesday on MTV. It will be an hour long
special featuring Simon Saran in his everyday life. He confirmed this was coming back in June, but
Farrah Abraham shaded him when he mentioned it. The two have been hot and cold for several
months now. Saran is a businessman, and now, Abraham is back to selling sex. ... Show more content

According to Starcasm, Simon Saran and Courtland Rogers got into an insult match where one went a
little too far. Everyone knows that Twitter is the place where anything goes. Racial comments, insults,

about Donald Trump being blamed for the Las Vegas massacre, and Rogers decided to have his say
with him. It appears that since Jenelle Evans no longer wants anything to do with Courtland, he is
really trying to stay relevant. Both men reverted to heavy insults, with Courtland Rogers insinuating
that Simon Saran was a terrorist with a tweet about hijacking a plane. Of course, Simon wasn t
innocent in the debate, but Courtland really went the whole nine yards with his comments. There is a

The Rights Of Animal Testing
A long time of debates go back and forth on the rights of all animals with further argument or debates,
do humans have the right to use animals on medical testing and lab use? There are several issues that
can be placed in this argument this research will acknowledge four important topics in the rights of
animal testing. Is it right to use animals for testing? Is it right to compare animal DNA to human DNA
in these animal experiments? Is it right to use real animals instead of computers to generate results? Is
it right to state animals are being protected and cared for while giving toxins to make them sick?
Therefore, the question needs to be asked if animals should be used for scientific experiments in labs
all across the globe. The on going attacks on the lab staff s morals, attacked on facilities and the lack
of support from the public have made medical testing on animals a significant dilemma among the
public. The two organizations that are in the middle of this argument are the People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Americans for Medical Progress (AMP). AMP defends that animals
are biologically similar to humans and are susceptible to over 200 diseases and play a vital role in
advances in medical care and treatments. Many of these successes have created treatments, cures and
vaccines that have increased health care resources for both human and animals a like. The problem
with this success comes the concern on whether or not it is

The Tale Of Three Brothers
Fairy tales have an enormous impact on the world we live in. They are used as tools to teach children
life lessons in such a way that doesn t scare them, but does prepare them for the harsh realities of the
world. We have many such examples in our own lives, it seems only natural that the wizarding world
would have their own. One interesting thing about wizarding fairy tales is that unlike their muggle
counterparts, magic is a good force. While good magic does exist in muggle fairy tales, for instance
Cinderella s godmother, more often than not it is portrayed as the evil weapon in the story. The Tale of
Three Brothers is a story where Death is a character. He greets three brothers who have used their
knowledge in the magical arts to cheat him. Instead of killing them on the spot, he grants them each a
gift. The eldest chooses an unbeatable wand, the middle plots to humiliate death further by asking for
a stone that can raise the dead, while the youngest asks for a cloak that will shield its wearer from
being followed by Death. The three brothers soon part ways and choose their own paths, and
ultimately their deaths. The first is murdered after he boasts loudly about being unbeatable, the second
kills himself after finding that the stone cannot truly bring anyone back, but the third lives a long and
full life and greets death as an old friend (Rowling, 93). In The Four Accomplished Brothers, a fairy
tale by the brothers Grimm, four brothers leave the house to make

The Importance Of Stagflation In The United States
3.) Stagflation Stagflation is a slowdown in the economy, which can include high unemployment and
this is paired up with high levels of inflation. It is significant because the economy is basically stuck.
The middle class also tends to shrink in these periods because people loose the ability to have
spending money. This is somewhat going on now with rising gas and food prices.

Blood Spatter Analysis and Interpretation Moving forward to questions of blood spatter interpretation,
historically a subjective area of practice, the work of Trombka et al. (2002) sheds important light on
how computerized analysis can now lead to the automation of many elements of blood spatter
analysis. This is incredibly beneficial, for this particular CSI technique, because of the fact that
computerized analysis brings about the type of parsimony, associated with rigorous hard sciences,
which increases a discipline s credibility in a court of law. Indeed, and because computerized spatter
analysis will inevitably bring about greater reliability in spatter analysis, inasmuch as cases will now
be analyzed in identical ways by different analysts, the discipline s probative relevance to court cases
is likely to be increased dramatically. In a similar vein, Raul et al. (2005) argue that, in
conceptualizing of the gunshot, we must make assumptions regarding its blood effects on the basis of
trajectory and other elements. Examining shots to the head, the authors note that, depending on the
trajectory of the bullet, the head will move in a different way. Because of this, blood spatter analysis

Theories About Human Behaviour And Its Effects On Human...
Schacter (2012) defined Behaviourism as an approach that advocates that psychologists restrict
themselves to the scientific study of objectively observable behaviour (pg 19). Behaviours that can be
observed include covert behaviours, like thoughts and emotions, and behaviourism can be used to
analyse these and then modify them. In the 20th century Pavlov, Thorndike, Watson and Skinner all
played very important roles in the emergence of Behaviourism and helped tear away from other
psychology fields. Theories about human behaviour were concluded by experiments on animals and
how they interacted with their environment. This then led to different experiments in conditioning
behaviour that was learnt from environment and reinforcement.
As behaviourism is primarily concerned with observable behaviour, behaviourism believes that when
you are born you start with a Tablu Rasa . Therefore this means that your behaviour has to be learnt
through your environment. Behaviour is the result of a stimulus that is presented to either a human or
an animal and this then will produce a certain response which has been moulded by their environment,
this is called conditioning. From experiments that Pavlov has carried out, we know that there isn t a
great difference in the way that humans and animals learn. Research can then be carried out with
humans as well as humans. (Mcleod, S. Behaviourist Approach. Retrieved from

Suicide In Romeo And Juliet Essay
One of the most famous and most controversial love stories is the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by
William Shakespeare. It is the tale of two youthful lovers who are morosely born into two families
who have been enemies for decades. The story closes with Romeo and Juliet both dead; both victims
to a gruesome duo suicide. The pair both commit suicide because of the struggle of them not being
approved to be together by their families. The catastrophe can be blamed three different ways: on Friar
Lawrence, on the Capulet family, and on the Montague family. All three of these accusations are
truthful, because all three of them have a part in the misfortune that could have influenced the
outcome. The blame can be placed on Friar Lawrence because he had the chance to unite the two
families, but instead he allows the elaborate plan to develop. Primitively, he married the pair in hopes
to unite the two families through their love. But, the plan changed after Romeo is banished. Friar
Lawrence devises an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lord and Lady Capulet are the parents of young Juliet. The Capulets have always hated the
Montagues, and the generations of Capulets to come are all supposed to hate the Montagues. This is
the reason Juliet felt her relationship with Romeo had to be concealed. Lord and Lady Capulet also
influence the tragedy greatly by forcing Juliet to marry Paris that Thursday when she is still grieving
over Romeo being banished to Mantua. Lord Capulet declares that he will disown Juliet if she does
not wed Paris. This action is the reason that Juliet seeks help from Friar Lawrence. If the Capulets
were not so forceful with Juliet, she probably would not have been desperate enough to perform Friar
Lawrence s plan. Had she not preformed Friar Lawrence s plan, none of the final deaths would have
transpired. Reflecting on these reasons, it is clear how the Capulet family could have been responsible

The Geographic Landscape Of The African Continent
When it comes to discussing the geographic landscape of the African continent people are quick to
overlook the important role that soil has played in the development of cultures and civilizations in
Africa because it can be so easily overshadowed by Africa s other geographic features such as its
rivers, mountains, deserts and grasslands. However, to ignore soil is undoubtedly a mistake because
African soils cannot be separated from African history (Showers 118). Soils are literally the
foundation of life, used for farming, building houses, making pottery, and mined for their mineral
deposits. They are in themselves, historical bodies and they have interacted with human history since
its beginning. (Showers 118). While looking for information on the soil of Africa it is not uncommon
to find descriptions such as African soils are indeed poor (Bohannan 23) while being presented with
the seemingly paradoxical fact that By far the greatest number of Africans are farmers. (Bohannan 43).
This paper will examine how it is possible for Africa to be a continent consisting of such poor soil yet
be full of such a rich history of farming that persists into present day. It will explore the general
characteristics of African soil, how humans have historically interacted with soil, and the way that
outsiders have used generalizations about Africa s soil to perpetuate Western misconceptions.

Throughout the centuries, social class and mobility has always been a big concern for Americans.
Today, social mobility has been known to be roughly the same over the past few decades. Social
mobility, to begin with, is defined as a movement, either upward or downward, in social class. The
social mobility is greatly influenced by the level of openness within a society, in which a person can
gain their social status by their own efforts.
We often think to ourselves that the United States is a place with a lot of social mobility and equal
opportunities. However, that is ironically not true. According to a graph from a 2005 New York Times

In addition, children who didn t get to spend most of their childhood with both of their biological

show that nearly a third of households that are run by single mothers in the United States, live below
the poverty line. Another barrier to social mobility is income inequality, which have grown greatly
since the early 1970s. It s no longer the case that anyone that works hard and plays by the rules can get

How Easy Do You Think It Is for a New Chief Executive to...
The culture of an organization can be defined by the way they do things , this means the way they
make decisions, operate and how they choose and achieve their objectives. As culture is a set of values
and practices, changing it may be difficult and a long process, especially if the change is organized by
a new chief executive.
Changing the culture of an organization may not be easy especially if the new chief executive does not
fully understand the previous culture and therefore does not embrace it in the change. This lack of
knowledge may result in an inappropriate culture being chosen that could limit the company s
performance as productivity reduces. An example of a badly imposed culture can been seen with the

for Sony to fully embrace an innovative culture as their Japanese culture has largely influenced the
organization. It also took a long time for Marks Spencer to introduce higher levels of technology, such
as a stock control system, as they are said to have a backward culture . This is because they don t

in a business s culture may not be done quickly as the organization is accustomed to the previous
culture.
However, changing a company s culture can be easy if the new chief executive conducts the change in
an appropriate manner. As culture change will have a direct impact on stakeholders, it is important for
the new chief executive to inform all stakeholders of the changes and to also encourage feedback. The
loss of the innovative leader of Apple, Steve Jobbs created much anxiety about the new CEO Tim
Cook. Stakeholders feared Cook would change the company and reject all Jobbs practices especially
as the two leaders have different personalities. The media worsened the situation with continuous

History Of Unit 731
This film takes place in Pingfang located in China, in the year 1936. Which happened to be during
World War One. Where a man named Shiro Ishii built a top secret testing facility. Their goal was to
gain knowledge by doing research on human beings. However, none of their research was completed
in an ethical manner. Scientists in Unit 731 claimed to have been testing how humans would react to
receiving an illness without having a vaccination. All humans who suffered from the illness ended up
dying or almost dead. They were then transferred to a room for dissection, even if they were still alive.
What scientists were doing this for was to learn how to successfully keep Japanese troops alive and
healthy, and know a way to treat them if they were to fall ill. Then Shiro Ishii decided to create a
plague spread through fleas and dropped contaminated fleas on helpless Chinese natives. This plague

chasing her. Because the accident happened in France, no British charges can be laid against the

convicted of invasion of privacy for taking pictures of Princess Diana and were each fined one euro in
2006. Of course it is obvious that the public is intensely curious to know more about celebrities, but
don t you think celebrities have the right to be private?
First of all, let us define who the paparazzi are and what they do for a living. A paparazzo is a

The two gospels, The Old Testament and The New Testament provide mirror images of Terrestrial

  • 2. The Cost Of Real Estate Essay For the past several years, the housing market has been mutually beneficial for both buyer and seller. The cost of real estate has risen but has maintained or gained value. People who have owned their home for quite awhile are seeing astronomical amounts of money to be made off the sale of their home, and so the market has been inundated with housing for sale. It leads us to wonder whether this boom is heading for the crash. Is now still a good time to buy? If so, what type of property will continue to gain value? Will new buyers end up stuck in their home as the value drops? As a homeowner, I am nervous about the state of the real estate market. This is not the house my family wants to call its home forever, but could we get stuck here? Yes, we could. If the housing market drops, then so will the amount of money we could potentially make off the sale of this house. If it drops enough then it would be possible to end up owing money upon the sale. Unless you are independently wealthy, you hope to make money off the sale of the home to help finance the purchase of the next home. While it is speculated that the market will drop within the next year or two, if you are willing to sit on your new purchase for several years, an upswing will occur again. There is never any guarantee that you will recoup the money paid for and put into a home. If you intend to purchase a home soon, it would be a good idea to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Elimination of Natural Theology Essay The Elimination of Natural Theology ABSTRACT: The dispute between fideists and rationalists seems intractable since those who argue for faith alone claim that they are offended by the use of reason in religion. The advocates of reason claim that they are equally offended by the appeal to faith. This dispute may be resolved by showing that those who rely on faith may be seen as engaging in an experiment of living, so they can become part of a rational experiment without having to alter their practice; in contrast, those who use reason to justify religion can be seen as addressing a spiritual need. From an evangelical point of view, it would be wrong to disparage the mathematician s use of the mathematical proof of God s existence (such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (ii) for all practical purposes, it is sufficient to provide probabilistic arguments, it is not necessary to provide demonstrative arguments. integrative rationalism = consider religion an integral part of the whole enterprise of rational inquiry and accept the following: (A) All claims with religious content and all religiously motivated actions and practices are subject to the same kind of rational scrutiny and evaluation as any other claim or form of behavior i.e., the religious and the secular are at parity as far as the jurisdiction of reason is concerned. By contrast, pure fideists reject (A) without comment; ratiocinative fideists reject (A) but attempt to explain their rejection, and conditional rationalists refuse to accept (A) until the kind of rational scrutiny to which religion is to be subjected is spelled out. The Controversy Discovering the right relationship between faith and reason matters as much as finding the right religion matters, yet the conflict seems irresolvable. Rationalists and fideists can both claim legitimate descent in the history of religion, but the essence of one view seems categorically unacceptable to the other. The ... The problem is that some managers will search for whatever information that they can get, without thinking what they really need. That is the problem, because too much information can be harmful as too little, because it is not important to have a lot of information, it is important to have useful ones. The MIS helps to provide decision makers with information that they should have to make effective marketing decisions. Also, company needs to decide whether the benefits of having additional information are worth of costs of providing it, and both cost and the value are hard to assess. • 9. My Dreams In My Life One summer afternoon after indulging on General Tso s Tofu and spring rolls I cracked open the crisp fortune cookie and received a vague prophecy reading old dreams never die; they just get filed away . My friend next to me interpreted my fortune to say that I will give up on my dreams. My other friend then believed it said that growing up meant acquiring new aspirations. Everyone around the table seemed to have their own perception of what it meant, although they all perceived it to be a rather pessimistic and unfortunate fortune. I disagreed. I understood the aphorism to mean that although we mature, we hold on to our ambitions as they set the foundations for who we are. While reflecting on my old dreams a specific assignment from preschool came to mind. We were asked what we wanted to be when we grew up. Common answers from the class included princess, fireman, teacher and all the typical ambitions of young children. I remember my answer simply was a helper. When asked to elaborate I simply said my goal was to help people. I don t believe my old dreams were given up on, I believe they were filed away in the sense I have continued to hold on to them even as I have grown up. I see myself working towards that goal when I volunteered at a doctor s office where I had the privilege of personally aiding the patients. • 11. Theme Of Feminism In Anthem, By Ayn Rand Anthem is Against Feminism In the novel Anthem, by Ayn Rand, the theme of female inferiority is shown throughout the novel. Rand has been known to portray women as obedient and submissive to men in most of her novels. In Anthem Rand shows how women are inferior to men by; showing that a woman s highest priority is to follow a man, that men can eliminate and redetermine a woman s identity, and that women are only there to fit the needs of a man. In the novel, Liberty begs to never be left behind while they are in the Uncharted Forest because she cannot live without him. Rand s view on the responsibility of women in a society is that women are a minority in the government. Rand shows the lack of importance of females in government because, there were five members of the Council, three of the male gender and two of the female (25 26). She shows that the opinions of women do not have as much value as the opinion of a male. The inequality in government represents the imbalance in opportunities and rights for women and the majority vote favoring the men takes away the voice of the women in government. After Liberty and Equality run away to the Uncharted Forest, Liberty shows her allegiance to Equality when she tells him: we have followed you... and we shall follow you wherever you go. ... Do as you please with us but do not send us away from you (82 83). Liberty promises her obedience that she will die with him if she needs to. Rand creates the picture of a woman to sit at the feet of men and support their every need. Equality renames Liberty two times; this is Rand s way of demonstrating man s dominance over women. Someone s name is their identity, so him changing her name to what he sees best is changing her into what he wants her to be. The first time he names her the Golden One (41), and then again when they are in the forest, Gaea... the mother of a new kind of gods (99). Equality shows that he has complete control over her and whatever he wants her name to be is what she goes along with. When Equality sees Liberty for the first time he describes her hair as; golden as the sun; their hair flew in the wind, shining and wild, as if it defied men to restrain it. (39). Cady is just as advanced as everybody else she was around and showed this ability all the times she, and other children were using various types of blocks to build an Elsa Tower . This activity took place almost every day I was there; the children, and Cady, knew the blocks were not actually building the ice tower that Elsa made in Frozen, but they continued to pretend and act like it did. In most Victorian literature, curious women are severely punished because Victorian society prohibited women from indulging themselves in curiosity; this idea originates from the fear that female knowledge would jeopardize patriarchal security (Aikens 29). In contrast, the protagonist of Lewis Carroll s Alice s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (and What Alice Found There) does not receive punishment for her curiosity, despite living under Victorian conditions. Also, Victorian women strived for motherhood since marriage and reproduction were of utmost importance to them; they devoted their pre marital lives to obtaining knowledge ranging from music and singing to modern languages, solely for the purpose of attracting a husband (Corbett 22). Though based on general characteristics, these standards do not account for every man or woman. They are used as tools to teach children life lessons in such a way that doesn t scare them, but does prepare them for the harsh realities of the world. We have many such examples in our own lives, it seems only natural that the wizarding world would have their own. One interesting thing about wizarding fairy tales is that unlike their muggle counterparts, magic is a good force. While good magic does exist in muggle fairy tales, for instance Cinderella s godmother, more often than not it is portrayed as the evil weapon in the story. The Tale of Three Brothers is a story where Death is a character. He greets three brothers who have used their knowledge in the magical arts to cheat him. Instead of killing them on the spot, he grants them each a gift. The eldest chooses an unbeatable wand, the middle plots to humiliate death further by asking for a stone that can raise the dead, while the youngest asks for a cloak that will shield its wearer from being followed by Death. Stagflation Stagflation is a slowdown in the economy, which can include high unemployment and this is paired up with high levels of inflation. It is significant because the economy is basically stuck. The middle class also tends to shrink in these periods because people loose the ability to have spending money. This is somewhat going on now with rising gas and food prices. 5.) Blood Pattern Analysis Blood Spatter Pattern Analysis Kimberley Kanuch Brown Everest University Abstract Given that blood spatter analysis is an emergent field, with rapidly occurring developments have significant probative implications for the court system, this project will seek to examine the multi faceted elements of blood spatter analysis to provide an overview of the field s different dimensions. Focusing on technical developments, analytical interpretation and court relevance, the project will propose that blood spatter s analysis as a mainstream element of the CSI toolkit results from the combination of physical sciences and analytical rigor which lies at its core. Blood Spatter Analysis and Interpretation Moving forward to questions of blood spatter interpretation, historically a subjective area of practice, the work of Trombka et al. (2002) sheds important light on how computerized analysis can now lead to the automation of many elements of blood spatter analysis. This is incredibly beneficial, for this particular CSI technique, because of the fact that computerized analysis brings about the type of parsimony, associated with rigorous hard sciences, which increases a discipline s credibility in a court of law. Indeed, and because computerized spatter analysis will inevitably bring about greater reliability in spatter analysis, inasmuch as cases will now be analyzed in identical ways by different analysts, the discipline s probative relevance to court cases is likely to be increased dramatically. In a similar vein, Raul et al. (2005) argue that, in conceptualizing of the gunshot, we must make assumptions regarding its blood effects on the basis of trajectory and other elements. Examining shots to the head, the authors note that, depending on the trajectory of the bullet, the head will move in a different way. Because of this, blood spatter analysis ... • 28. Theories About Human Behaviour And Its Effects On Human... Schacter (2012) defined Behaviourism as an approach that advocates that psychologists restrict themselves to the scientific study of objectively observable behaviour (pg 19). Behaviours that can be observed include covert behaviours, like thoughts and emotions, and behaviourism can be used to analyse these and then modify them. In the 20th century Pavlov, Thorndike, Watson and Skinner all played very important roles in the emergence of Behaviourism and helped tear away from other psychology fields. Theories about human behaviour were concluded by experiments on animals and how they interacted with their environment. This then led to different experiments in conditioning behaviour that was learnt from environment and reinforcement. As behaviourism is primarily concerned with observable behaviour, behaviourism believes that when you are born you start with a Tablu Rasa . Therefore this means that your behaviour has to be learnt through your environment. Behaviour is the result of a stimulus that is presented to either a human or an animal and this then will produce a certain response which has been moulded by their environment, this is called conditioning. From experiments that Pavlov has carried out, we know that there isn t a great difference in the way that humans and animals learn. Research can then be carried out with humans as well as humans. • 29. Suicide In Romeo And Juliet Essay One of the most famous and most controversial love stories is the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. It is the tale of two youthful lovers who are morosely born into two families who have been enemies for decades. The story closes with Romeo and Juliet both dead; both victims to a gruesome duo suicide. The pair both commit suicide because of the struggle of them not being approved to be together by their families. The catastrophe can be blamed three different ways: on Friar Lawrence, on the Capulet family, and on the Montague family. All three of these accusations are truthful, because all three of them have a part in the misfortune that could have influenced the outcome. The blame can be placed on Friar Lawrence because he had the chance to unite the two families, but instead he allows the elaborate plan to develop. Primitively, he married the pair in hopes to unite the two families through their love. But, the plan changed after Romeo is banished. Friar Lawrence devises an ... Lord and Lady Capulet also influence the tragedy greatly by forcing Juliet to marry Paris that Thursday when she is still grieving over Romeo being banished to Mantua. Lord Capulet declares that he will disown Juliet if she does not wed Paris. This action is the reason that Juliet seeks help from Friar Lawrence. If the Capulets were not so forceful with Juliet, she probably would not have been desperate enough to perform Friar Lawrence s plan. The Geographic Landscape Of The African Continent When it comes to discussing the geographic landscape of the African continent people are quick to overlook the important role that soil has played in the development of cultures and civilizations in Africa because it can be so easily overshadowed by Africa s other geographic features such as its rivers, mountains, deserts and grasslands. However, to ignore soil is undoubtedly a mistake because African soils cannot be separated from African history (Showers 118). Soils are literally the foundation of life, used for farming, building houses, making pottery, and mined for their mineral deposits. They are in themselves, historical bodies and they have interacted with human history since its beginning. (Showers 118). While looking for information on the soil of Africa it is not uncommon to find descriptions such as African soils are indeed poor (Bohannan 23) while being presented with the seemingly paradoxical fact that By far the greatest number of Africans are farmers. (Bohannan 43). This paper will examine how it is possible for Africa to be a continent consisting of such poor soil yet be full of such a rich history of farming that persists into present day. Today, social mobility has been known to be roughly the same over the past few decades. Social mobility, to begin with, is defined as a movement, either upward or downward, in social class. The social mobility is greatly influenced by the level of openness within a society, in which a person can gain their social status by their own efforts. We often think to ourselves that the United States is a place with a lot of social mobility and equal opportunities. However, that is ironically not true. Another barrier to social mobility is income inequality, which have grown greatly since the early 1970s. It s no longer the case that anyone that works hard and plays by the rules can get ahead. As culture is a set of values and practices, changing it may be difficult and a long process, especially if the change is organized by a new chief executive. Changing the culture of an organization may not be easy especially if the new chief executive does not fully understand the previous culture and therefore does not embrace it in the change.
