Some Hindu groups alleged that Staines had forcibly converted or lured many Hindus into
Christianity, Staines widow Gladys denied these allegations. On the night of 22 January 1999,
he attended a jungle camp in Manoharpur, He was on his way to Keonjhar with his sons, who
had come back on holiday from their school at Ooty. They broke the journey for the camp and
decided to spend the night in Manoharpur. After that, they slept in the vehicle because of the
severe cold. His wife and daughter had remained in Baripada. According to reports, a mob of
about 50 people, armed with axes and other implements, attacked the vehicle while Staines and the
children were fast asleep and his station wagon where he was sleeping was set alight by the mob.
Graham, Philip and Timothy Staines were burnt alive. Staines and his sons apparently tried to

Crime Social Construct
Crime is a social construct because it is an idea that is established by a society to control the
behaviors of the people within the society ( Radical Concept of Crime ). What is considered to
be criminal varies within different area and cultures and even time. Things that were legal two
hundred years ago are illegal now. For example, in the 18th and 19th century when slavery was
allowed in America, there were a lot of people who saw nothing wrong with it because they had
been socialized to accept and justify it. If you ask most Americans now about slavery, they would
say that it was a tragedy or that they just cannot understand how it happened. This is because we
are now being socialized to think of slavery as wrong. Even though many citizens... Show more

It is dangerous to disrupt an established organization without a carefully thought out plan for what
will happen after. V s plan to disrupt the governmentcould have hurt all of his followers if he
wasn t successful. It could also hurt them now that he is gone, because there is not a clear
leader, and no one is really in charge anymore. Leadership is necessary so that someone can be
held responsible for the actions of the community. That s why a lot of coup d Г©tats do not ended
up being successful regimes. It is easier to tear things down than to build them up. When V blew
up a building, someone could have gotten hurt. In the film, V is initially called a terrorist by the
government, even though the first scene that he is in involves him saving someone from being
attacked police officers (James McTeigue, V for Vendetta). The terrorism takes on different
meanings to different people. Although terrorism is usually thought of as blowing up buildings,
governments generally use the term to describe people who are going against them. Terrorism is
usually defined as inciting fear for political gain, and is often used by people in power to describe
actions of people without power ( Radical Concept of

The Theory Of Organizational Change
Literature Synthesis The idea of change can alarm any system and lead to unexpected reactions
from the members associated with the system. As the change begins to be implemented, these
uncertainties intensify and can lead to crisis. This phenomenon becomes even more crucial when
the system involves an organization with leaders and those members with non managerial
responsibilities. When change is being implemented within an organization by its leaders, the
consequences of it can be underestimated or ignored by them, resulting in crises and, eventually,
failure of the change efforts. In order for change to succeed, specifically in today s business world,
where organizations are constantly undergoing change at a fast rate, companies should educate
their employees in understanding and supporting change. Taking both organizational and employee
perspectives into account, Armenakis and Bedeian (1999) have reviewed major research
publications on the theory of organizational change from 1987 to 1999. To set a basis for selecting
from the vast number of the available material, their study was concentrated on those researches
focusing on the fundamentals of organizational change dynamics. The researchers acknowledge the
effect of the extent of their resource selection on the literature review outcome, stating that their
choice of subject area will provide a deeper understanding of the existing approaches governing
organizational change. In order to make their research manageable,

OVERVIEW
The cellular functions of chaperones are vital to all living organisms from prokaryotes to man.
Molecular chaperones are stress proteins that are involved in inhibition of protein aggregation and
that participate in numerous normal cellular processes such as protein folding, assembly, and
transportation of secretory or transmembrane proteins. The largest chaperone is the glucose
regulated protein 170 (Grp170). It it evolutionarily related to the hsp70 superfamily and resides in
the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It is induced by stress conditions such as hypoxia, ischaemia,
glucose deprivation, reductive reagents, anoxia ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One limitation of the early work on UPR induction is that it analyzed who worm gene
expression. It did not look to see if the response was limited to particular tissues or if GRP170 is
essential to normal protein folding throughout the nematode. The goal of my research is to
investigate the tissue specificity of the role of GRP170a and GRP170b in protein folding. To
study the cell specificity of UPR, I will use a reporter transgene that expresses GFP in cells
undergoing UPR. I will conduct genetic crosses to introduce this transgene into a genetic
background deficient for GRP170a or GRP170b. I will use fluorescence microscopy to identify
which cells in the GRP170 deficient worms are undergoing UPR. That will indicate which cells
GRP170 s are essential for normal protein folding. Learning which cells depend on GRP170 will
provide insight into the role of GRP170 of the multicellular animals.

Human Rights Act Of 1998
Rights that protect human beings and the extent of legality of what they are entitled to as people
are a core part of each constitution globally. The extent of human rights protection varies from
country to country, with total democracies having most human rights that encompass freedom of
speech and expression among other freedoms. These are the most sovereign of laws as they
express how liberal and powerful the majority can be as opposed to the minority being powerful in
some countries or kingdoms. In some countries, the part of the constitution (just answer legal) is
referred to as the Bill of Rights. In the United Kingdom, they are referred to as the human rightsact
of 1998. It was previously referred to as the Bill of rights though. As expressed in the UK
parliament official website, the Human rights Act came into life in 1998 to bring rights home
(www.parliament.uk, 2014).
Section 3 of the 1998 Human Rights act has equally been center of controversy and light about
various issues as who decides the extent to which the human rights stretch. The human rights act
expresses the human rights that are contained in the European Convention (Jeeves) on Human
rights as part of the UK laws in three forms as follow:
The UK laws should be interpreted in so far as possible to do so, to reflect the consideration for the
human rights act.
If Parliament passes an act that is in contravention with the Human rights act, the courts have the
mandate to declare such acts as

Describe The Cammeray Suburb
Nestled along the lower north shore of Sydney sits a quiet and picturesque suburb where young
families, retirees, and professionals coexist. These locals enjoy keeping a low profile within their
little hideaway suburb with a lot of greenery and leafy areas. The sense of community in
Cammeray is amazing. Besides all this, what else makes this suburb so desirable.
Housing
Cammeray is a nice mix of semi detached Federation era homes, contemporary homes, and single
and double storey homes that line the curvy streets flowing down to Middle Harbour. As you
meander closer to Miller Street, you ll find a few older high rise apartments, while the prime real

In this Gays and lesbians deserve equal protection against the hate crimes that happen in the world.
Aren t we told as young children and also throughout life to treat others as we would want to be

percentages of the hate discrimination against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual community.
The violence that they are pitted against, due to people s discrimination against them, in life. And I
will also mention the discrimination that the LGBTcommunity goes through and what they miss
out based on sexual preference. Atlanta, Georgia, is one of the largest LGBT populations in the
South, if not the nation. An yearly LGBT pride festival draws about 200,000 people. Several
neighborhoods have businesses that market heavily to the LGBT. The statistics show that eighty
five percent of cases on violence and harassment were because of homophobic language and
assaults on those people. The city of Atlanta has been ranked the 32nd in the percentage of same
sex unmarried households. If you narrow it down to cities with overall populations greater than
100,000, Atlanta ranked sixth in the percentage of same sex unmarried households. A 2008 study
showed that 390 gay, lesbian bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Victorians found that out of one in
seven were living in homophobia fear of violence happening to them. In another study, this one

Analysis of The Histroy and Topography of Ireland by...
For Gerald of Wales, religion was one of the most essential aspects of being a civilized human
being. Therefore, when he wrote, The History and Topography of Ireland, he portrayed its
inhabitants as subhuman and barbaric during his apparent travels to Ireland. As a colonizer,
Gerald picked a far away place in which many had not been to, in order to establish them as the
other . Unfortunately, for Gerald, he may have ridiculed the Irish for their lifestyle conveyed in
his writing, but his exploitation of them most likely was done because he could in fact relate to
them. In the book, The Postcolonial Middle Ages, Jeffery Jerome Cohen s analysis in his chapter,
Hybrids, Monsters, Borderlands: The Bodies of Gerald of Wales, closely focuses... Show more

Although, when explaining how the half man half ox came to be, the man having relations with
the ox was not subject to dishonor, but instead it was said to just be a particular vice of that people
(74). Here, Gerald suggests that although it was a man that acted dishonorably something beautiful
came out of it, while the children of the bestial women are not spoken of most likely because they
were so wretched. Gerald seems to be relating cultural hybridity to the act of interspecies
crossbreeding, ultimately allowing the reader to relate it to filth. By showing different forms of
miscegenation, Gerald makes each variation seem negative to his readers, which makes Ireland as a
whole look like a place for hybrid mongrels .
On one hand, Gerald may be ashamed of his own biological makeup, because of his parent s
filthy urges but, on the other hand, he still holds some confidence in the fact that because he is
more involved with his Christianity, he could not possibly make the same ghastly choices that his
parents and supposedly the Irish appeared to. He uses the Irish his book to make an example out
of anyone involved in hybridity. According to Gerald, the Irish are ignorant of the rudiments of the
Faith and do not attend God s church with due reverence , but instead he repeatedly accuses them
of incestuous relations and have yet to pay tithes or first fruit or contract marriages (106). He is
upset with the Irish because he

Rasulullah SAW pernah
memerintahkan Ali RA agar tidur di atas katilnya sebelum baginda keluar berhijrah ke Madinah,
sedangkan musuh Islam begitu giat mengintip. Namun Sayyidina Ali sanggup berbuat mengikut
perintah Rasulullah SAW kerana beliau yakin atas Kehendak dan Kekuasaan Allah. 2. Khalid Ibn al

The thunder clapped against the sky, sounding like thousands of galloping horses. There was no

fact that it had reached the end of the playlist. Wake up honey, we re here, Allison s mother

Advertising Strategy and how it Aligns with its Marketing Goals
Clear Vision, Inc. is currently focused on promoting its newest product Liquid Drop Contact
Lenses. The company s advertising strategy is going to address a series of aspects concerning the
contact lenses industry, but it is mainly going to emphasize this product s novelty and the resulting
innovative attitudes that the masses need to employ with regard to it. Even with the fact that the
company has a community of loyal customers, it is going to change its advertising strategy in the
case of Liquid Drop Contact Lenses.
Although introducing Liquid Drop Contact Lenses means that the company is going to use IMC in
new ways, it is nonetheless important to acknowledge the strong connection between this new
product and the company s mission in general. This new strategy is going to continue to focus on
sustaining profitability, competitiveness, and progress while also promoting innovative attitudes. In
addition to reinforcing the thinking of existing customers, this advertising campaign is also meant
to winning new customers, especially considering that the company is currently the only one

Natural disasters can have a significant impact on the health of a countries population. A disaster
is defined as any occurrence that causes damage, ecological destruction, loss of human lives, or
deterioration of health and health services on a scale sufficient to warrant an extraordinary
response. 1 Several factors play into how severly a country will be impacted following a natural
disaster such as their economic status, access to healthcare services, infrastructure, political
economies, etc. As the world is currently dealing with climate change affecting weather patterns
countries in the Caribbean and Latin America are more at risk now than ever to face natural

The more developed socially and economically a country is the greater their chance of surviving
a natural disaster due to greater infrastructure, more access to healthcare and medical supplies,
and resources as well as more support for their citizens post disaster. Countries whose Gross
National Product relies on agriculture are left at a disadvantage and can be considered at risk.
When flooding interrupts the production and sale of agriculture a country will not be able to
produce funds for recovery following a natural disaster. Infrastructure in a country also directly
relates to morbidity following a disaster. Weaker infrastructure contributes to a greater rate of
morbidity due to the fact that more people can fall victim to flooding, drowning, and can be
killed if trapped under infrastructure. Following Hurricane Maria and Irma The country that was
most affected by hurricane Maria was Dominica, with over 90% of the island infrastructure
destroyed and critically damaged water, electricity and communication services. Its death rate at
37 deaths per 100,000 Due to their infrastructure power in Puerto Rico was knocked out entirely
and has still not recovered to this day. With a lack of power less patients who were injured could
be treated, several were left with no means of contact to send for help resulting in many deaths.

Case Analysis Of Ritter V. Auntie Ruth s Furry Friends
Case Law Analysis Case Summary
In a perfect world, there would be no need for laws protecting people from employment
discrimination; however, in this often unjust world, discrimination continues. Hence, federal and
state protections exist for certain groups of people sharing common characteristics. Some of these
protected classes are race, religion or creed, gender, and disability (EEOC, 2015). In the legal case
of Ritter v. Auntie Ruth s Furry Friends (ARFF), Ritter claimed she became the target of age
discrimination after the business was sold to two people under the age of thrty. The following is
an overview of the case that highlights how ignorance of or willful disregard of the rights of
others can be a costly mistake. While laws are unlikely to change the minds of those who seek to
discriminate, those breaking the law must be held accountable.
Case Summary
In the above referenced case, Ritter, the appellant, began her employment as the general manager
at the boarding kennel approximately one year prior to the sale of the business. In 2012, the
business changed ownership to Annie Haubenhofer and Mike McKinley. Upon taking ownership,
they required all current employees to reapply for their jobs. AARF rehired all of the existing
employees, including Ritter, subject to a 90 day probationary period. As general manager, Ritter
informed Haubenhofer that questions on the new application, such as age and year of high school

Foreign Minister Alexander Izvolsky Of Russia Essay
In 1908, the leaders of Russia and Austria Hungary arranged to make an agreement that would
help both nations achieve their international goals. Foreign Minister Alexander Izvolsky of
Russia was looking to re establish his country s authority in Europe, which had been damaged
after defeat by Japan in a previous war in the Far East (Trueman C. N., 2015). One goal for
Baron Lexa von Aehrenthal, Foreign Minister of Austria Hungary, was to gain better control of
his nation s Balkan territory. After the revolt in Constantinople by a group called the Young
Turks in which they took control of the city, Austria Hungary feared that Bosnia Herzegovina
would be the next to revolt (Schmitt, 1970; Hamilton Herwig, 2003). Aehrenthal was also
looking to prove that his nation was more than just a satellite of Germany (Trueman C. N.,
2015). To achieve the goals of both parties, Russia agreed to support Austria Hungary in annexing
Bosnia Herzegovina and, in turn, Austria Hungary was to support the Russian use of the
Bosporus and Dardanelle Straits, which had previously been barred. The latter part of this
agreement was significant in that it would give Russia the ability to mobilize its navy from the
Black Sea and, as previously mentioned, gain access to the British dominated Mediterranean.
However, this part of the agreement was never carried out. On October 6th 1908, Austria Hungary
annexed Bosnia Herzegovina, before Russia was able to make its case for the use of the Straits

Social Media s Effect On Society
People live in a world today where most communication takes place through a technological
mediator. One of the most common forms of these mediators is social media. According to an
article by Patricia Reaney, 62% of the population of 26 countries, including; the United States of
America, Russia, Japan, Indonesia, and South Africa use social media. That means that more
than half of everyone in some of the biggest countries in the world uses social media. The United
States alone has over 300 million people, 62% of that being 186 million people. Anything that is
part of the livelihood of that many people should be looked farther into for any hidden dangers
or benefits. How does this much impersonal conversation affect what people s real world
interactions are? How does it change their mental thought processes? From message boards and
private Skype calls to public posts and forums, how do all of these affect everyone? There is no
inherent good or bad to social media s affect on everyone, it is purely situational and what people
themselves make it to be. What exactly is social media? The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines
social media as: Forms of electronic communication (as Web sites for social networking and micro
blogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal
messages, and other content (as videos). Social media is a very large family of applications and

The Butterfly Circus And The Butterfly Circus
This essay is about what human dignity and how it relates to the butterfly circus. When it comes
to people and human dignity some people do not realise what it is. The butterfly circus is a circus
where human dignity what the circus is based on. People do what they want to they find the right
place to do it, and they do it at the butterfly circuswhere anyone can be anything, and they can be
themselves (who they truly are). In the butterfly circus, Mr Mendez says that the butterfly circus is
made up of people who haven t had much dignity in their lives (e.g. they get rejected from their
previous work (e.g. Circus) and they were left with nothing. Imagine if this happened to you.

Would you make other people have their dignity restored? Do you have dignity in you?
Lies are one of the major things in which affects this world of wonders, the young and old do it
even you do it yourself. Everyone tells lies every now and then, but if people believe in every lie
that is said to them then they would forward those lies onto other people. When Mr Mendez sees
the (freak) side show and once he arrives at Will s section (which has curtains covering him); the
things that the showman said about Will is horrifying and is a lie. Will believed everything that
the showman said; the showman said God himself has turned his back on him and this next thing
has been cursed since birth . No one should be expressed like that. When someone is expressed
like that it affects the victim and the victor; they both get a bad influence on each other. How often
do you tell lies? How often do you tell the truth?
When you think that human dignity is already in this world but when you think about all of the
bad things which are happening you realise that people aren t being treated the way that they
should be; people lie (about how their thinking), they think that everything is impossible because
of the lies, and the people who are treated the way they should are hoping to make others happier
and a difference to this world. If people get treated equally then bad

Avatar Film Analysis
Most of the science fiction works contain a crucial message that the writer wishes to convey to the
viewers. There are two categories of film message, one is positive and the other is negative. A
positive message is one that is expected to have favourable outcome to the audience, and
continuously aiming to promote better societal changes. In contrast, a negative message is one that
could deliver threats or unpleasant information to the audience, which could have significant
impact on the normal order of the society. This essay will argue that if the message contains
positive elements, then it is not a bad sign to embed science fiction works with a message. First,
this essay will suggest that the well integrated message within a particular... Show more content on

In addition, the film focus mainly on a human protagonist name Jake, and narrate his transformation
from a human to an alien, which is done through a human developed technology that injects
human DNA into the alien bodies. After Jake s transformation, the scene opens another implicit
message: aliens are to be forcibly removed from their planet to create space for human activity
(Veracini, 2011, p. 357). For the climax part of the film, the director establishes a passage that
describes Jack becoming a native of Pandora, and the director again aims to introduce the audience
with a message saying that human power against corporate force as to conserve our natural
environment. This message seemingly gives audience a wonderful twist of the plot and is quite
thought provoking for the audience. Hence, when a film includes well integrated messages, it adds
another layer of quality to the entire plot whereby all the elements of the plot becomes more
meaningful, and the general audience could be attuned with the rhythm of the film because there is
a logical flow from one scene to the next.
Moreover, the positive messages embedded in science fiction works can have powerful influence
on the audience and the society, both locally and globally. In particular, most of the messages
embedded are prompted by the past events of world history or by the contemporary social
phenomena, and

Comparing The Works Of Jackie Robinson And Thomas Cole
People throughout history, who are the first to do, make, or renovate existing ideas have been

Jackie Robinson diversified the game of baseball, by being the first African American to play

Persuasive Essay On Baby Dolls
The practice of giving little girls baby dolls has been around since forever. Only through the
years have the dolls grown more and more lifelike. The more realistic ones that required regular
feedings, burping, changing of diapers, and an assortment of a wardrobe that could rival most
closets today. Though quality came at a very high price. You would have had to have the luck of
being an only child, or the favorite of all your siblings to be able to call one of these luxurious
dolls to call your own. As a child myself, I have always had a preference of fair skinned dolls than
those that mirrored my own complexion. The only explanation i could conceive is deep
institutionalized racism, but it wasn t something i learned directly. It just developed over years
covertly laced within skipped chapter of my history textbooks, the media s seemingly endless
reports of thugs , and the complete underrepresentation in my limited circle of entertainment of
school, Disney movies, and books. Even with my mother s constant, effortless strategies of
expanding my collection of Barbie s from the lightest shades of cafe au lait with shiny, bone
straight hair that glided through my plastic combs with ease to the crispest, darkest shades of the
night sky who hair was so thick and curly that no comb nor brush ever survived a single run
through. The Disney movies that lined my bookshelves always featured fair skinned, petite
protagonists who only outstanding features was the color of their hair.

The play starts out with a narrator. As the characters come out you notice they are all dressed
fancy, and the montagues are a different race then the capulets ( white and black). Romeo pulls
up on a motorcycle, to talk to Mercutio. They appear to be talking in the forest. They used the
dialect that was used in the original play, but dressed modern. The motorcycle is the only motor
vehicle in the play. Lady capulet is depicted as a woman with a temper and that doesn t take any
crap, in the others she is a pricy fancy woman. Lord capulet is depicted as a caring father
whereas in the other two he seems more abusive, to both lady capulet and Juliet. It seems to have
more scenes, where it shows Romeo and Juliet just talking on her balcony because she doesn t
really have a room in the play. The only seen where she has a room is when she drinks that
potion, and they think she is dead but it just shows her bed. When Romeo slays Tybalt with ease,
it show Juliet talking about it to the nurse, and the nurse comforting her. Tybalt has no trouble
killing Mercutio in the play, while Romeo has no trouble killing Tybalt. It shows Romeo
purchasing the poison, but its is just an empty bottle in both films they contained liquid. The man
Romeo purchased the poison from was reluctant, to sell it to him in the play. He said it didn t feel
right and that he could also get in trouble for it. When Romeo drinks the poison he dies before

The Importance Of Fostering A Winning Culture

The purpose of this paper is to discuss how sergeants major can influence changing the culture

When I first came into the recruiting in 1999 there were several recruiting incentives that
recognized a recruiter s performance and not just the recruiter s performance, but the performance
at all levels, recruiting station recognition, recruiting company recognition, recruiting battalion
recognition and so on. These recognitions once within doctrine took form in awards such as, the
recruiter gold badge of excellence, the recruiter ring, and culminated with those who truly became
an expert in the skill with the Glen E. Morrell award. In 2010 these types of award programs
ended. Senior leaders considered them ineffective goals to motivate soldiers to bring their A game
or their highest level of performance. This was a point of time of great success for the recruiting
command, the economy had fallen, the unemployment rate was hovering around ten percent, and
the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan seemed to be ending. Hence the idea that the recruiting mission
had become easy and these types of incentives where unnecessary. It was not just the incentives that
went away, though the recognition leaders verbally gave to subordinates when they did something
stopped as well. Effective praise had always been a key part of motivating soldiers within the
Recruiting Command but the culture had changed and we stopped recognizing people not just with

Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she ll conquer the world , this is one of the many quotes
from Marilyn Monroe during her successful career. Unfortunately, the shoe did not fit Monroe on
the date of August 5, 1962. Marilyn Monroe, or Norma Jeane Mortenson, was found naked and
lifeless in her bed around five in the morning at her home in Los Angeles. The cause of her death
is indoctrinated to be probable suicide. However, evidence and extensive research point all fingers

Monroe had been locked in her bedroom of her Fifth Helena Drive Household. Not much evidence
supported the cause of her death at the crime scene.
Upon completion of the report, it is clear that an examination of the unresolved murder is
imperative. No stone will be left unturned; no avenues left unexplored. To seek justice for Marilyn
Monroe and her family, an in depth analysis must be organized in order to comprehend the data
and identify a possible killer.
Little Evidence was found at the crime scene to link a particular suspect. The room Monroe was
murdered in seemed as if nothing ever happened. Besides a telephone in her hand, no item
provided a reasoning for her death. One of the major controversies of her death was the
emptiness of her stomach. During the Autopsy of her body, suicide did not cross any of the
doctor s minds. There was no pill residue in her stomach and with the number of capsules she
would have to have ingested there should have been some evidence of it. What that means,
Mcneil adds, is that there s a strong suspicion she might have been injected (McNeil 1). Monroe
was known to take pills but to be diagnosed with probable suicide with no pill residue in her
stomach is suspicious.
Not only was there no pill residue, but there was no water glass as well. Officer Clemmons, the

Rough Draft Vasco Da Gama, a little known Portuguese man, discovered a trade route to India on
behalf of the Portuguese government. A feat Christopher Columbus was unable to accomplish.
Vasco Da Gama was a boy born in Sines, Portugal, sometime between 1460 and 1469. The actual
date of his birth is unclear. As a child Da Gama dreamed of becoming a pirate (World Book
Online). He began sailing after studying astronomy, navigation and mathematics in high school.
When he was 15, Da Gama went on short trading voyages to Africa (Larkin, 6). His hero was the

For example, when he was mad, da Gama killed several people and took 3 prisoners. He caused
this tragedy because the king scammed him. The king scammed him by trading two bells and
two gold lumps for one navigator instead of three. You can see why da Gama was mad, right
(Larkin, 14)? Vasco da Gama thought he could trade caps and bells for emeralds and diamonds
(Larkin, 9). He did not realize that he was insulting the Zamorin, Indian ruler, and that would
usually cost da Gama his life, but he was smart and brought more expensive goods just in case.
Vasco da Gama had accomplishments that helped him in very many ways. One was to travel to
India. Da Gama s plan was to travel to Calicut, India. This would be his greatest achievement.
Achievements are crucial to the famous, without them everybody would be nobody. But also, there
needs to failures, otherwise you re inhuman. Failures happen to everyone, big and powerful, small

In the 2005 film, V for Vendetta , McTeigue strategically uses mirrors to quietly echo the desire

scene of the film, McTeigue introduces both V and Evey seated in front of mirrors. In the way the
McTeigue films the scene, it actually appears as if Evey and V sit on opposite sides of the same

51). As a part of their representation and constant struggle for the rights of workers and their
families, the Australian Council of Trade Unions has addressed the need to have family friendly
policies and practices, with an emphasis on work hours, introduced into Australian workplaces
under law. Although Trade Unions play a fundamental role in the provision of family friendly
policies, the public sector has been known to demonstrate a higher level of acceptance and
willingness towards implementing family friendly initiatives, as opposed to the private sector
(Ravenswood Markey 2011, p. 500). This suggests that organisational factors have an immense
impact upon the unions ability to influence workplace policies, no matter what they are in
relation to. A study conducted by Ravenswood Markey (2011) demonstrated evidence that
family friendly policies and the influence of a union is far more imaginable and favourable
within workplaces that fall into the category of the public sector (Ravenswood Markey 2011, p.

policies, there first needs to be a strong union in place and the existence of collective bargaining
relationships with management for this to be a possibility (Ravenswood Markey 2011 p. 501).

Essay On Sarty In William Faulkner s Barn Burning
Barn Burning (1939) by William Faulkner is a short story set during the Dust Bowl, a time of
overexploited soil and bad weather conditions caused by the rapid industrialisation that had taken
place in the preceding years. It follows a family of farmers in the Southern region of the United
States who are going to their new house after the father, Abner, has been accused of burning the
barn where they were working, and has been then expelled from the country for doing so. The
main issue in the story is faced by the son, Sarty, who is struggling between turning his father in
and follow the rules of justice, or stand by his familydespite knowing that it means breaking the law.
Thus, the action is executed by Abner whilst the mental reflection is realized by Sarty, making it

When analyzing the matters of how sex, gender, race and class are implicated in sexuality, many
questions will arise. Furthermore, race class sex and gender are all separate interconnected
categories that have a colossal influence in the way individuals are viewed, perceived,
acknowledged and accepted in todays society. Many theorists such as Judith Butler, who is known
as one of the most prominent American philosophers and gendertheorists, have developed ideas
that support her views on gender performativity, as well as the social constructions of sex and
gender that govern the people of todays society. As noted in the course text, New Sexuality

fundamentally social (NSS, xv). Throughout the exploration of this research essay, following week

The course texts and articles used to support this research question will accurately portray that the
underlying problem may not be the privileged status of heterosexuals, but rather societies dualistic
categories that pit groups of people against one another (NSS, 259).
According to Judith Butler, societies that believe in a natural gender order are also organized
around the norm of heterosexuality. Butler argues that heterosexuality is the basis of a culture of
romance, marriage, and family that is enforced by our laws, government, churches schools and
military (NSS, 11). Therefore, through this system of enforced heterosexuality that governs
individuals everyday lives it is comprehensible why societies divide individuals into two gender
types, viewing men and women as the only natural, normal way of living. In the article; How Sex,

Overview of Barbara Dossey s Nursing Theory
Nursing Theory: Barbara Dossey
Context of the development of the theory Barbara Dossey is truly a visionary in the holistic
nursing movement and her theory is able to further the development of holistic nursing in its
entirety as well as bolster patient outcomes. The context in which the theory was developed was
in relation and connection to the products and ideas of Ken Wilbur, in an attempt to fortify the
fundamental concept of healing (Dossey Keegan, 2003). Dossey s four quadrant model in
certain respects is a reaction to and influenced by the work of Wilbur, namely that his volumes
stress that no particular or sole researcher, philosopher or theorist can describe, establish or
clarify the constituents of reality (Dossey Keegan, 2003). Dossey and Keegan emphasize that the
obstacle and objectives in nursing is to bolster one s integral awareness while boosting one s
overall strengths and abilities in nursing in general (2003). Ultimately, the theory developed in the
context of the belief that healing occurs when the delicate balance and harmony of body and mind
and spirit is successfully addressed and how ancient ideas can be effectively integrated in the realm
of caring for patient in everyday living (Dosseydossey.com).
Nursing Conceptualized in the Theory This theory recognizes how the meta paradigm of nurse,
individual, health/wellbeing, surrounding environment (also known as society) have to be
acknowledged (Dossey Keegan, 2013). The nurse plays a strong

A Comparison Between Freud and Erikson Essay
Developmental psychology is an area of research dedicated to the understanding of child
development. Throughout history many theories have been used to attempt to explain the complex
process. Two of those theorists, Freud and Erikson, were instrumental in creating a foundation for
child psychology to build on. From a Freudian perspective, human development is centered on
psychosexual theory. Psychosexual theory indicates that maturation of the sex drives underlies
stages of personality development. Alternatively, Erikson is considered a neo freudian scholar who
developed psychosocial theory. In Erikson models there are eight major conflicts that occur during
the course of an individual s life.

It allows an individual to regulate standards, embrace moral values and decides whether or not the
ego has implemented problem solving strategies that are acceptable (Shaffer et al, 2010; Wedding
Corsini, 2014). Ultimately, Freud believed that sex was the most important instinct influencing
personality and any mental disturbance revolved around sexual conflicts that were suppressed from
childhood. Furthermore, Freud believed that parents permitting too much or too little gratification
of sexual needs led to a fixation on that activity throughout their lifetime (Shaffer et al., 2010). This
fixation can eventually lead to a regression in behaviour. Regression can determine whether or not
the behaviour is psychopathological in nature depending on intensity and changes within their
personality (Kerig Wenar, 2006; Lothane, 2006).
Freud created five stages of psychosexual development that includes the oral, anal, phallic, latency,
and genital phases. The oral stage begins at birth and lasts until approximately age one. Throughout
the first phase, Freud believed that, the sex instinct was centered on the mouth. Often infants derive
pleasure from oral activities such as chewing, sucking, biting, or feeding activities. Moreover, Freud
thought that if a child was weaned off the mother s breast too early their adult personality
characteristics might crave close contact and become an overly dependent spouse

beginning to see that the best way to get to the top of any type of business is to create their own

shortcomings and seek education and training before they take the leap. Women try to base their
decisions on logic and on sound business decisions. They do not seem to shoot from the hip the
way many men do in the business world.
In corporations that have dared to hire today s businesswoman, it seems these women officials are

1. According to the reading, why was slavery such an important part of the American economy at

Northern cities of America are progressively industrialized and can export commodes conveniently.
Owing to the demand, the requirement of labor productivity pushed Negros to the America and

Fantasy Films

The Combine and American Society:
All films, regardless of their intended purposes, tend to capture a piece of history and culture within
them. Film s ability to capture images and produce a visual is truly unique, as other methods of
storytelling, such as writing a book, fail to truly encapsulate the human experience. Using an
aesthetic lens, film directors essentially preserve time, and bring us back to our roots. Through
masterful manipulation of the aesthetic properties of film, Milos Forman succeeds in illuminating
the historical and cultural significance of One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest, making it worthy of
placement in the National Film Archive.
Milos Forman s many years of experience in Czechoslovakia heavily influenced the production
of the film. He was born in Czechoslovakia in 1932, and was orphaned at a very young age when
his parents were murdered in a German concentration camp. He studied screenwriting and drama
at the Prague Academy, and was heavily involved with the Czech New Wave of film, producing
documentaries for the state sponsored film industry in Czechoslovakia. In addition to being a
Czech American director, he is also a screenwriter and a professor. One of his first films, The
Fireman s Ball, centers around the comic difficulties attached to holding the annual fire brigade
dance in a small Czech town. However, this film was ultimately banned by the Czech government

Superfreakonomics Report
The book Superfreakonomics, by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, is basically just a
collection of stories that analyze certain aspects of our society/world, and evaluate why something
is what it is or how it can be changed. All solutions/evaluations made by the authors though, are
from an economist s point of view. This is one of the main reasons why I chose this book
alongside the fact that some of the stories inside I found to be quite intriguing. Topics discussed in
the book ranged from why suicide bombers should buy life insurance to how street prostitutes are
like department store Santa clauses. Despite the interesting topics discussed though, the main
reason I chose this book was for the economicsviewpoint of the authors. It... Show more content on

The authors bring up this idea is chapter two when they discuss the idea surrounding a tax on the
inheritance given from an elderly family member to the rest of their surviving family. While
most people without an economic mindset would instantly think that lowing the inheritance tax
would be a good idea, Levitt and Dubner presented a counter theory/argument. They proposed
that if the inheritance tax was decreased, theoretically, those people expecting a share of the
inheritance would have less drive to exert the time or effort to keep the elderly person in good
health thus resulting in a faster pay out of the inheritance. I found this to be quite interesting
because I, before reading this, was in the same boat as most others by thinking that the
inheritance tax should not be very high. However, after reading this, I would consider a minor
increase in the inheritance tax to be justified because I think that the lives of the elderly,
especially family members, should be more important than the inheritance that they leave behind.
I wouldn t go too far though to raise the tax so high because I think that there is a ceiling where
there would just be no benefit in even having an inheritance at all. I think that now, after reading
this, I will think more closely when the time comes for any of my close family to reach that stage
of life where inheritance is even a discussion point, because I will want to make sure that the
inheritance is not getting in the way of the well being of the family

Perspectives on the Book of Job Essay
The Book of Job is one of the three books in the Hebrew bible whose genre is described as
wisdom literature.1 Certainly the Book of Job satisfies the literary conventions that qualify a
biblical book for such status. 2 Yet Job may be associated with wisdom in a much more literal
sense. The Book of Job attempts to deal with a problematic question that confronts suffering
humanity: why do bad thingshappen to good people? The variety and vehemence of commentators
contemporary responses to this chapter of the Bibleis testament to the continued relevance of the
Book of Job s wisdom thousands of years after it was written. Although the commentators examined
herein arrive at differing and sometimes conflicting conclusions after... Show more content on

As always, God tests those human beings to whom he is close and whom he loves. 8 It is
unclear whether Buber bases the preceding statement on his personal opinion or on the biblical
text. Buber points out that Job s plaintive cries constitute a form of prayer, and in fact cement his
relationship with God. Buber concludes that Job passed God s test, successfully bore witness to
his God 9 and has the eternal mission of serving God. One comes away from Buber with the
impression that both God s behavior and Job suffering are morally justified.
In contrast to Buber s vindication of God s role and glorification of Job s suffering, C. G. Jung
excoriates God for his crimes 10 in an excerpt from Answer to Job11. Setting an irreverent tone,
Jung begins by stating that God s thunderings... completely miss the point 12 by failing to address
Job s questions, demonstrating God s self absorption. Jung points out that God s self aggrandizing
diatribe only makes sense if directed towards a doubting thought , which can only be Satan. Jung
suggests that God has turned his verbal displeasure on Job rather than Satan in order to avoid facing
the fact that he was duped by Satan into sanctioning the punishment of his most faithful follower.
Job realizes that the self centered God speaking from the whirlwind has no interest in Job s rights,
and thus Job has no choice but to retract his demand for justice 13 and submit to the divine
omnipotence

Crime Social Construct Crime is a social construct because it is an idea that is established by a society to control the behaviors of the people within the society ( Radical Concept of Crime ). What is considered to be criminal varies within different area and cultures and even time. Things that were legal two hundred years ago are illegal now. For example, in the 18th and 19th century when slavery was allowed in America, there were a lot of people who saw nothing wrong with it because they had been socialized to accept and justify it. If you ask most Americans now about slavery, they would say that it was a tragedy or that they just cannot understand how it happened. This is because we are now being socialized to think of slavery as wrong. Even though many citizens... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is dangerous to disrupt an established organization without a carefully thought out plan for what will happen after. V s plan to disrupt the governmentcould have hurt all of his followers if he wasn t successful. It could also hurt them now that he is gone, because there is not a clear leader, and no one is really in charge anymore. Leadership is necessary so that someone can be held responsible for the actions of the community. That s why a lot of coup d Г©tats do not ended up being successful regimes. It is easier to tear things down than to build them up. When V blew up a building, someone could have gotten hurt. In the film, V is initially called a terrorist by the government, even though the first scene that he is in involves him saving someone from being attacked police officers (James McTeigue, V for Vendetta). The terrorism takes on different meanings to different people. Although terrorism is usually thought of as blowing up buildings, governments generally use the term to describe people who are going against them. • 5. The Theory Of Organizational Change Literature Synthesis The idea of change can alarm any system and lead to unexpected reactions from the members associated with the system. As the change begins to be implemented, these uncertainties intensify and can lead to crisis. This phenomenon becomes even more crucial when the system involves an organization with leaders and those members with non managerial responsibilities. When change is being implemented within an organization by its leaders, the consequences of it can be underestimated or ignored by them, resulting in crises and, eventually, failure of the change efforts. In order for change to succeed, specifically in today s business world, where organizations are constantly undergoing change at a fast rate, companies should educate their employees in understanding and supporting change. Taking both organizational and employee perspectives into account, Armenakis and Bedeian (1999) have reviewed major research publications on the theory of organizational change from 1987 to 1999. To set a basis for selecting from the vast number of the available material, their study was concentrated on those researches focusing on the fundamentals of organizational change dynamics. The researchers acknowledge the effect of the extent of their resource selection on the literature review outcome, stating that their choice of subject area will provide a deeper understanding of the existing approaches governing organizational change. In order to make their research manageable, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Tissues Specific Roles For Two Grp170 Chaperones Loci Tissues Specific Roles for Two GRP170 Chaperones Loci in Protein Folding in Caenorhabditis Elegans Mengxin Wang OVERVIEW The cellular functions of chaperones are vital to all living organisms from prokaryotes to man. Molecular chaperones are stress proteins that are involved in inhibition of protein aggregation and that participate in numerous normal cellular processes such as protein folding, assembly, and transportation of secretory or transmembrane proteins. The largest chaperone is the glucose regulated protein 170 (Grp170). It it evolutionarily related to the hsp70 superfamily and resides in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). One limitation of the early work on UPR induction is that it analyzed who worm gene expression. It did not look to see if the response was limited to particular tissues or if GRP170 is essential to normal protein folding throughout the nematode. The goal of my research is to investigate the tissue specificity of the role of GRP170a and GRP170b in protein folding. To study the cell specificity of UPR, I will use a reporter transgene that expresses GFP in cells undergoing UPR. I will conduct genetic crosses to introduce this transgene into a genetic background deficient for GRP170a or GRP170b. I will use fluorescence microscopy to identify which cells in the GRP170 deficient worms are undergoing UPR. That will indicate which cells GRP170 s are essential for normal protein folding. Learning which cells depend on GRP170 will provide insight into the role of GRP170 of the multicellular animals. The extent of human rights protection varies from country to country, with total democracies having most human rights that encompass freedom of speech and expression among other freedoms. • 12. Analysis of The Histroy and Topography of Ireland by... For Gerald of Wales, religion was one of the most essential aspects of being a civilized human being. Therefore, when he wrote, The History and Topography of Ireland, he portrayed its inhabitants as subhuman and barbaric during his apparent travels to Ireland. As a colonizer, Gerald picked a far away place in which many had not been to, in order to establish them as the other . Unfortunately, for Gerald, he may have ridiculed the Irish for their lifestyle conveyed in his writing, but his exploitation of them most likely was done because he could in fact relate to them. In the book, The Postcolonial Middle Ages, Jeffery Jerome Cohen s analysis in his chapter, Hybrids, Monsters, Borderlands: The Bodies of Gerald of Wales, closely focuses... Although, when explaining how the half man half ox came to be, the man having relations with the ox was not subject to dishonor, but instead it was said to just be a particular vice of that people (74). Here, Gerald suggests that although it was a man that acted dishonorably something beautiful came out of it, while the children of the bestial women are not spoken of most likely because they were so wretched. Gerald seems to be relating cultural hybridity to the act of interspecies crossbreeding, ultimately allowing the reader to relate it to filth. By showing different forms of miscegenation, Gerald makes each variation seem negative to his readers, which makes Ireland as a whole look like a place for hybrid mongrels . On one hand, Gerald may be ashamed of his own biological makeup, because of his parent s filthy urges but, on the other hand, he still holds some confidence in the fact that because he is more involved with his Christianity, he could not possibly make the same ghastly choices that his parents and supposedly the Irish appeared to. He uses the Irish his book to make an example out of anyone involved in hybridity. According to Gerald, the Irish are ignorant of the rudiments of the Faith and do not attend God s church with due reverence , but instead he repeatedly accuses them of incestuous relations and have yet to pay tithes or first fruit or contract marriages (106). When flooding interrupts the production and sale of agriculture a country will not be able to produce funds for recovery following a natural disaster. • 18. Case Analysis Of Ritter V. Auntie Ruth s Furry Friends Case Law Analysis Case Summary In a perfect world, there would be no need for laws protecting people from employment discrimination; however, in this often unjust world, discrimination continues. Hence, federal and state protections exist for certain groups of people sharing common characteristics. Some of these protected classes are race, religion or creed, gender, and disability (EEOC, 2015). In the legal case of Ritter v. Auntie Ruth s Furry Friends (ARFF), Ritter claimed she became the target of age discrimination after the business was sold to two people under the age of thrty. The following is an overview of the case that highlights how ignorance of or willful disregard of the rights of others can be a costly mistake. While laws are unlikely to change the minds of those who seek to discriminate, those breaking the law must be held accountable. Case Summary In the above referenced case, Ritter, the appellant, began her employment as the general manager at the boarding kennel approximately one year prior to the sale of the business. In 2012, the business changed ownership to Annie Haubenhofer and Mike McKinley. Upon taking ownership, they required all current employees to reapply for their jobs. AARF rehired all of the existing employees, including Ritter, subject to a 90 day probationary period. • 19. Foreign Minister Alexander Izvolsky Of Russia Essay In 1908, the leaders of Russia and Austria Hungary arranged to make an agreement that would help both nations achieve their international goals. Foreign Minister Alexander Izvolsky of Russia was looking to re establish his country s authority in Europe, which had been damaged after defeat by Japan in a previous war in the Far East (Trueman C. N., 2015). One goal for Baron Lexa von Aehrenthal, Foreign Minister of Austria Hungary, was to gain better control of his nation s Balkan territory. After the revolt in Constantinople by a group called the Young Turks in which they took control of the city, Austria Hungary feared that Bosnia Herzegovina would be the next to revolt (Schmitt, 1970; Hamilton Herwig, 2003). Aehrenthal was also looking to prove that his nation was more than just a satellite of Germany (Trueman C. N., 2015). To achieve the goals of both parties, Russia agreed to support Austria Hungary in annexing Bosnia Herzegovina and, in turn, Austria Hungary was to support the Russian use of the Bosporus and Dardanelle Straits, which had previously been barred. The latter part of this agreement was significant in that it would give Russia the ability to mobilize its navy from the Black Sea and, as previously mentioned, gain access to the British dominated Mediterranean. However, this part of the agreement was never carried out. On October 6th 1908, Austria Hungary annexed Bosnia Herzegovina, before Russia was able to make its case for the use of the Straits ... One of the most common forms of these mediators is social media. According to an article by Patricia Reaney, 62% of the population of 26 countries, including; the United States of America, Russia, Japan, Indonesia, and South Africa use social media. That means that more than half of everyone in some of the biggest countries in the world uses social media. The United States alone has over 300 million people, 62% of that being 186 million people. Anything that is part of the livelihood of that many people should be looked farther into for any hidden dangers or benefits. How does this much impersonal conversation affect what people s real world interactions are? How does it change their mental thought processes? From message boards and private Skype calls to public posts and forums, how do all of these affect everyone? There is no inherent good or bad to social media s affect on everyone, it is purely situational and what people themselves make it to be. What exactly is social media? The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines social media as: Forms of electronic communication (as Web sites for social networking and micro blogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (as videos). Social media is a very large family of applications and websites that all accomplish this same goal. It harbors ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are two categories of film message, one is positive and the other is negative. In contrast, a negative message is one that could deliver threats or unpleasant information to the audience, which could have significant impact on the normal order of the society. Overview of Barbara Dossey s Nursing Theory Nursing Theory: Barbara Dossey Context of the development of the theory Barbara Dossey is truly a visionary in the holistic nursing movement and her theory is able to further the development of holistic nursing in its entirety as well as bolster patient outcomes. The context in which the theory was developed was in relation and connection to the products and ideas of Ken Wilbur, in an attempt to fortify the fundamental concept of healing (Dossey Keegan, 2003). Dossey s four quadrant model in certain respects is a reaction to and influenced by the work of Wilbur, namely that his volumes stress that no particular or sole researcher, philosopher or theorist can describe, establish or clarify the constituents of reality (Dossey Keegan, 2003). Dossey and Keegan emphasize that the obstacle and objectives in nursing is to bolster one s integral awareness while boosting one s overall strengths and abilities in nursing in general (2003). Film s ability to capture images and produce a visual is truly unique, as other methods of storytelling, such as writing a book, fail to truly encapsulate the human experience. Through masterful manipulation of the aesthetic properties of film, Milos Forman succeeds in illuminating the historical and cultural significance of One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest, making it worthy of placement in the National Film Archive. Milos Forman s many years of experience in Czechoslovakia heavily influenced the production of the film. He was born in Czechoslovakia in 1932, and was orphaned at a very young age when his parents were murdered in a German concentration camp. He studied screenwriting and drama at the Prague Academy, and was heavily involved with the Czech New Wave of film, producing documentaries for the state sponsored film industry in Czechoslovakia. In addition to being a Czech American director, he is also a screenwriter and a professor. • 42. Superfreakonomics Report The book Superfreakonomics, by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, is basically just a collection of stories that analyze certain aspects of our society/world, and evaluate why something is what it is or how it can be changed. All solutions/evaluations made by the authors though, are from an economist s point of view. This is one of the main reasons why I chose this book alongside the fact that some of the stories inside I found to be quite intriguing. Topics discussed in the book ranged from why suicide bombers should buy life insurance to how street prostitutes are like department store Santa clauses. Despite the interesting topics discussed though, the main reason I chose this book was for the economicsviewpoint of the authors. It... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The authors bring up this idea is chapter two when they discuss the idea surrounding a tax on the inheritance given from an elderly family member to the rest of their surviving family. While most people without an economic mindset would instantly think that lowing the inheritance tax would be a good idea, Levitt and Dubner presented a counter theory/argument. They proposed that if the inheritance tax was decreased, theoretically, those people expecting a share of the inheritance would have less drive to exert the time or effort to keep the elderly person in good health thus resulting in a faster pay out of the inheritance. I found this to be quite interesting because I, before reading this, was in the same boat as most others by thinking that the inheritance tax should not be very high. However, after reading this, I would consider a minor increase in the inheritance tax to be justified because I think that the lives of the elderly, especially family members, should be more important than the inheritance that they leave behind. I wouldn t go too far though to raise the tax so high because I think that there is a ceiling where there would just be no benefit in even having an inheritance at all. I think that now, after reading this, I will think more closely when the time comes for any of my close family to reach that stage of life where inheritance is even a discussion point, because I will want to make sure that the inheritance is not getting in the way of the well being of the family ... • 43. Perspectives on the Book of Job Essay The Book of Job is one of the three books in the Hebrew bible whose genre is described as wisdom literature.1 Certainly the Book of Job satisfies the literary conventions that qualify a biblical book for such status. 2 Yet Job may be associated with wisdom in a much more literal sense. The Book of Job attempts to deal with a problematic question that confronts suffering humanity: why do bad thingshappen to good people? The variety and vehemence of commentators contemporary responses to this chapter of the Bibleis testament to the continued relevance of the Book of Job s wisdom thousands of years after it was written. Although the commentators examined herein arrive at differing and sometimes conflicting conclusions after... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As always, God tests those human beings to whom he is close and whom he loves. 8 It is unclear whether Buber bases the preceding statement on his personal opinion or on the biblical text. Buber points out that Job s plaintive cries constitute a form of prayer, and in fact cement his relationship with God. Buber concludes that Job passed God s test, successfully bore witness to his God 9 and has the eternal mission of serving God. One comes away from Buber with the impression that both God s behavior and Job suffering are morally justified. In contrast to Buber s vindication of God s role and glorification of Job s suffering, C. G. Jung excoriates God for his crimes 10 in an excerpt from Answer to Job11. Setting an irreverent tone, Jung begins by stating that God s thunderings... completely miss the point 12 by failing to address Job s questions, demonstrating God s self absorption. Jung points out that God s self aggrandizing diatribe only makes sense if directed towards a doubting thought , which can only be Satan. Jung suggests that God has turned his verbal displeasure on Job rather than Satan in order to avoid facing the fact that he was duped by Satan into sanctioning the punishment of his most faithful follower. Job realizes that the self centered God speaking from the whirlwind has no interest in Job s rights, and thus Job has no choice but to retract his demand for justice 13 and submit to the divine omnipotence ...
