How Did Issac Newton Influence The Scientific Revolution
To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction . Issac Newton was an English
philosopher who is famously known for his law of gravitation, his explanation on how gravity
works, and his laws of motion,. Newton had a tremendous influence on the Scientific Revolution
which occurred from the mid 1500 s to the early 1800 s. Newton was born January 4, 1643 in the
town of Lincolnshire in the country of England. Newton s infamous laws of motion were
published in his literature, Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica , in 1687. Newtons first
law of motion is, Every object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside
force . His second law is, The relationship between an object s mass, m, its acceleration, a,

The Great Debate to Leave Home
Traversing lands unknown to one before has always been a subject of mystery, as these foreign
sights and wonders give way to many unexpected discoveries to the naГЇve mind. In any society,
the idea of travelling abroad is still taboo in most circles the ethnocentric ideals of most
traditional cultures, while not outright forbidding, but still do look down on the practice of
leaving home with goals of success. Whether it be religious thoughts of demons abroad or
wanting to keep handy laborers at home, or any other reason, there is always reason for those
wanting to wanting to keep such virile young at home, and they will often attempt to do so. Those
leaving will give up their identity, but not in any kind of negative way; as they grow, they will find
themselves changed by time, as they embrace the new ideas and rituals of their live in society.
They may go home, but with the inward change and newfound knowledge, they will not be able to
see the worldwith their young eyes, as they once had. Overcoming adversity is a manner of
mending the word a bit and learning to adapt to any current situation. Those leaving home are often
met with adversity. At the age of eighteen, the Amishare given a year to live abroad in the modern
world. All apathetic novels about Native Americans aside, the Amish youth are given a serious
choice to consider while living out in the modern world. Both sides are indeed a Real World , and

The Ethical Principles Of Ethics
Ethics is a crucial principle in human lives. It is necessary here to clarify exactly what is meant by
Ethics. The term ethics may be defined as a set of principles and concepts that guide people to
determine what behavior helps or harms sentient creatures (Paul Elder, 2006). Generally, in all
nations and cultures, parents always teach their children the importance of truthfulness, forgiveness
and honesty and all of that consider as parts of morality. Thus, in individual level, morality is
significant, therefore, in organizational level morality and integrity should be at the same level of
importance.
It is generally believed that ethical policies are highly necessary in every organisation or
association. Research environment is one of the areas, which highly require some moral
regulation and policy especially in some developing countries. In this paper, the terms Research
ethical regulations are used to describe group of principles and policies that aim to regulate each
step of research (Oates, et al., 2010). The safety of all volunteers is one of the major concern in
research ethics (Rawnsley, 2014). This policy does not only aim to ensure that there is no physical
harm to any participant, but also intend to prevent the occurrence of any psychological effects for
volunteers (Rawnsley, 2014). Furthermore, the availability of such policy emboldens and keep the
best ethical research practice (Oates, et al., 2010). In addition to the previous point, this policy

The Three Branches Of The Government
The Three Branches of the Government The Government has three branches for law making.
When a law is being created, it starts at the Legislative, and then gets passed to the Executive
branch, then to the Judicial branch. Each branch has their own area of the law that they look at.
In the end, it is decided if the law will be issued to the people. When the law is being created, it
starts at the Legislative branch. In the branch, Congress is made up of two houses, the Senate
and the House of Representatives. In Senate, there are 100 senators, making it two senators from
each state. Once elected, they will serve a six year term in Senate. The Vice President is known
as the head of Senate, but is only involved in the voting when there is a tie. They also approve
the recommendations made by the President to the Cabinet, the Supreme Court, federal courts,
and other posts. All the Senate must ratify all of the treaties by a two third vote. In the House of
Representatives, there are 435 representatives. Each state has a certain number of representatives
depending on the population. An example of this would be New York and Rhode Island. New
York would have more representatives because the population is much bigger in the busy state
then Rhode Island s would be. This is decided by the yearly Census. If it shifts, a representative
could be added or subtracted. The representatives elected, will serve a two year term. They also
elect the Speaker of the House, who is the head. . The

Battle Of Britain Advantages And Disadvantages
In the summer and fall of 1940, the first major air battle of history took place after the Fall of
France in World War 2. The British fought to defend their skies against the force of the Germans.
The Battle of Britain also marked the first major defeat of Hitler s military forces during the war,
with air superiority seen as the key to victory. England and Germany viewed air power in different
ways. Germany viewed air power as support for ground forces and had no strategic bomber
development. Meanwhile, the British had an independent military service called the Royal Air Force
(RAF). The RAF had a fighter command and a bomber command. Operation Sealion was the
German plan to invade England. They gathered ships and barges in Northern France ports to
transport their invasion forces across the English Channelby ferries. Along with this, three
Luftflotte, (air fleets) were assigned to the operation. What the Germans needed was to neutralize
the Royal Air Force and gain air superiority in order to successfully invade Great Britain. The task
was given to Hermann Göring, Air Marshall of the German Luftwaffe. However, there was one
downside to this operation; the RAF must be neutralized before autumn storms made the crossing
of the English Channel impossible. The advantages and disadvantages of both the British and
Germans played key components in The Battle of Britain. The British had too few high performing
Spitfires and too many Hurricanes. They did not have enough trained

Betrayal In The Chronicles Of Narnia
According the Merriam Webster dictionary, to betray is to deliver to an enemy by treachery , or
to give information about (a person, group, country, etc.) to an enemy . Betrayal is the result of
many factors, including feelings of morality, greed and gluttony, and fear. In The Chronicles of
Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe , both the original novel and the 2005 movie,
betrayal is shown to be natural behaviour that can fortify relationships and teach people to forgive.
Firstly, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe demonstrates that betrayal is common behaviour
that is the result of an almost infinite number of factors. Betrayal or defiance can be caused by a
desire to do the right thing, avarice, or a force of habit. This... Show more content on

Because betrayal can be instigated by variegated circumstances, it can be considered to be normal
behaviour. The aftermath of betrayal includes forgiveness, which shows understanding between
the affected. Forgiving includes identifying the problems in the relationship, and that will bring
people closer to removing those obstacles and becoming closer. Additionally, people who have
been betrayed learn to forgive through others who set examples, and by learning to accept reality.
The lesson learned is that people need to accept that betrayal is natural, and not always completely
unjustified. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe may cause the audience to look at betrayal in a
different way, and ask some interesting questions. Does betraying somebody make a person a bad
person? Can one forgive a person too many

Why Is Harry Potter Banned
The release of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer s Stone in Britain was originally called Harry Potter
and the Philosopher s Stone. The book was written by J.K Rowling in 1990 when she started the
franchise. Her first book in the series was then published in 1997 by the publishing company called
Bloomsburg. Harry Potterand The Sorcerer s Stone by J.K Rowling was banned from school
libraries in 2001 because of its Un Christian like content and has mischievous behavior of the
main characters, and it should be banned. The main plot of the story is based on a young boy
named Harry Potter. He hates his life because of his strict aunt and uncle. He s told by a friend of
his disseized parents that he is a wizard. He enrolls in a school of wizardry and witchcraft called
Hogwarts to learn how to be a wizard. He quickly becomes popular for being the boy who
survived an attack against a wizard named Voldemort, who ruthlessly killed other wizards,
including Harry s parents. Harry quickly learns to be an exceptional wizard and supposedly kills

Harry Potter is evil because it glorifies witchcraft (International Business Times). Along with that,
the main character, Harry Potter, and his two friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, often

characters often disobey orders and end up with a good outcome may influence children to think
that it s okay. (Daily

Transfer Of 40 % Ownership
A.Transfer of 40% Ownership As a sole proprietorship, Mr. Jones owns 100% of his used car
dealership. He has full authority to make big business decisions and reports business income
from the Schedule C to his Form 1040. He is currently deciding on re electing his business and
giving his daughter 40% ownership of the business. When a current owner brings in new
business associates, allocating a percentage of ownership is crucial. The individual with
majority share has the voting power to make or break critical business decisions. An even 50/50
spilt might create a deadlock which could negatively impact the business. For example, another
used car dealership wants to buy Mr. Jones business. Mr. Jones thinks the sale is a good idea, but
Mandy is completely against it. Since the two are in a deadlock, the interested company may
back out of the offer if a decision is not immediately made. Using the same scenario with the 60
/40 split, Mr. Jones is a majority shareholder and has the voting authority over Mandy to accept
the offer despite any rejections (Duff 2016). Financially speaking, the duo is better off with the
60/40 split. The S corporation election allows for income and deductions from the business to
flow down to the taxpayers. If Mr. Jones decided to stay a sole proprietor, he claims the entire
$1,200,000 on his Form 1040. If he decides to elect the S corporation status with a 60/40 split, he
claims $720,000 of the business income, as well as 60% of the business

they began the Space Race between them and the United States. The next step in the space race
was to send a human into orbit which the USSR also succeeded at by launching Yuri Gagarin into

first person to survive being in space. While it is only speculation, there are multiple suspicious

Eclipse Is An Open Source Integrated Development...
Milestone 12: Case Study Eclipse
Yujia Xie
I.Introduction
Eclipse is an open source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for almost every computer
programming language over a dozen platforms (Mac, Linux, Windows, etc.). In fact, it is one of
the most popular IDEs nowadays for multiple programming languages, especially Java. Back in
2001, Eclipse 1.0 came out as a framework, a flexible architecture that served as the building tool
for developers, providing a variety of accessible toolkits, private or public, to ease to process of
programming. Over the course of time, Eclipse takes in developers feedbacks and enhances its
accessibility and usability, releasing new versions with more functionality (i.e. Java Development
Tools, Plug in Development Environment, Rich Client Platform, etc.).
One of the core ideas behind Eclipse is to allow users (in this case developers) to write and share
modules (i.e. toolkits), different from the previous IDEs that hides their individual building
classes. For example, the pioneer Plug in Development Environment (PDE) for Eclipse was
designed specifically for this purpose, allowing developers to build and test their own plugins that
would later benefit the performance of Eclipse. Eclipse provide an environment that individual
users can manipulate the framework to facilitate their daily work. Like most of the open source
software, originally, Eclipse was written by a group of paid, full time developer, setting up the
fundamental structure at

For my civic or political participation, I volunteered with CPS s GIV day for a poverty
simulation. This is a half a day on the Friday of orientation week is available to first year s
students. The students are able to learn about civic issues like poverty and how Gettysburg College
works with the issue and community. As a member of Gettysburg College, I have volunteered with
CPS in many capacities and have done the povertysimulation as a first year. I also choose this
engagement because I have volunteered or participated in it every year except when I was abroad.
This opportunity also allowed me to complete five of my required hours for my sorority and
service fraternity. At the end, GIV day I an amazing way to get involved on campus, and be

First year students will come to the College Union Buildings Ballroom on the Friday of
Orientation with little to no idea what they are going to experience for half of the day. They will be
assigned a discussion table, a community group number, and a poverty simulation table number.
The day is spit up in half, where for the first half of the students will go to the community site and
the other will go through the poverty simulation. After both are done, the group will switch.
The students in the poverty simulation are divided into tables, which becomes families, and their
goal is to survive the four weeks. Surviving includes going to work, if they have a job, buying food,

The Gui vessel isdefinitely less cluttered than the Zun vessel which uses every inch of space
possible to cover the vessel in some ornamentation. The reason for this may be due to many
factors. Perhaps there was a technique the Zun culture used that the Gui culture never obtained. A
close inspection of the Gui bronze shows that there are many imperfections in the shape of the
vessel which may either be due to time, or casting technique. The Gui bronze does appear to have
been cast from clay, as it takes up the same texture of clay on the surface and the warped pieces
indicate clay castingНѕ however, this may also be due to time. The Zun vessel, on the other hand,
appears almost free of imperfections which may indicate the techniques used were more advanced
in the time of the Zun.
Perhaps the techniques used by the Zun culture were too costly and so the Gui culture adopted clay
casting or whatever technique which was used to create the Gui vessel. The culture of the Zun
appears to be more fixated on spiritualism than the Zun. This can

Maya Civilization Collapse
The example of societal collapse in which I will be making reference to throughout this essay is
the Maya civilization. The Maya civilization is, probably the best known of all early American
civilizations. (Fagan, 1995) It was at its strongest point between AD 300 AND 900. Around AD
900 was the time of its collapse. This civilizationwas developed in a densely, tropical forest on
either highlands or lowlands. Today to visit a Mayan site, people would go to the modern
Mexican state, capital city of Merida. This site was once home to the New World s most advanced
Native American civilization before European arrival. (Diamond, 2009) Over the years there has
been many predictions on what had caused the Maya civilizationto collapse. At... Show more

He stated that if the communication between the rulers and the Gods failed and the hope for a

affect the societal well being of a group. Traditions were handed down from generation to
generation. The ways of living and teaching were embedded into each Mayan person. Some of
these ways of living consisted as being hunter gatherers, this is because their predecessors were
known for their hunting and gathering of supplies to keep them alive. Climate change and
education come into consideration here whilst talking about their well being. Due to the fact that
their predecessors were hunter gatherers, the weather had a major impact on their ways of

a limit in the amount of food collected and in terms of the education view it declines also because

For about twenty eight years now the Asian elephant has been struggling for existence. They have
been classified as endangered species by The International Union for Conservation of Nature
(IUCN). Twenty eight years is quite a large amount of time for an animal to be classified as
endangered so The Zoological Society of London decided to look into this issue. Asian elephants
have been transferred to captivity for quite some time in the North American region. The Elephas
maximus have been captured from these countries in southern Asia and brought over to North
America and have experienced many complications that can hinder the genetic diversity of the
evolution of the species. Captive populations of the Elephas maximus species may be essential for
genetic preservation and aid in decreasing the deterioration of the authentic population (Brenneman

Unfortunately, keeping these elephants captive has caused issues. The females are at least 35
years of age which isn t very essential for reproduction so as a result the mortality rate amongst the

How Did Galilei Contribute To Science
Galileo Galilei made contributions to the fields of physics, astronomy, cosmology, mathematics,
and philosophy. He was an extraordinarily intelligent man and had a big part during the
Enlightenment. He made his first discovery in 1581 while he was a student at the University of
Pisa, where he originally went into medicine but switched his focus to mathematics. He described
the rules that governed the motion of a pendulum. He was then the chair of mathematics at the
Universities of Pisa and Padua from 1589 to 1610.
In 1604 Galileo published The Operations of the Geometrical and Military Compass, revealing his
skill with experiments and practical technological applications. He invented a hydrostatic balance

He discovered four new stars orbiting Jupiter, the planet s four moons to be exact, he called the
stars the Medician stars. With these new discoveries he had gained even more evidence to support
the Copernican theory. He published a treatise on his discovery which soon made him a very well
known man in Italy. Many people including scientists and theologians said his theory differed from
the Aristotelian view of the Universe, and his depiction of the rugged surface of our own moon
greatly disagreed with the idea of heavenly perfection.
In 1632 Galileo published his Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, he presented
arguments for both sides of the heliocentrism debate. He had no luck fooling anyone with his
attempt at balance, he was called before the Roman Inquisition in 1633, he tried to deny
advocating heliocentrism, and later said he did it unintentionally. He was convicted of vehement
suspicion of heresy, and was threatened with torture to express sorrow and curse his error. He
was nearly 70 years old at the time of his trial, and he spent the last years of his life under house
arrest. He died in 1642, on the 8th of January, after suffering a fever and heart

Airline Safety Bill 2001 Essay
Airline Safety Bill 2001
Introduction (Background of Actors): There are quite a few actors in respect to interest groups and
domestic airline safety. The interest groups come from varying backgrounds of business, labor,
government and public interest. The actors that we are focused on are the domestic airline
companies, the aerospace industry, private security firms, various labor groups, National
Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA), Department of
Transportation (DOT), Congress, The World Conference on Transportation Research Society
(WCTRS) and the American people.

With this conclusion the major manufacturers have laid off thousands of employees that would be
working in our economy. Again, the problem is that the manufacturers are looking to make a profit
now and not looking at the long term goals for their company and society. The manufacturers
simply want the airlines to keep purchasing commercial aircraft so they can continue to make a
profit from it. Lastly, in the business sector, we see the private security firms. These firms operate
security within the airport and have no federal oversight. These firms are free to train their own
people, pay their own wages, without the airlines, the airport, state or federal intervention. These
firms know that their security at the checkpoints has been questioned and lax, but do wish to
continue operating security at our national and international airports, knowing that some reforms at
the federal level must be made. They want to continue to be the main security for the airports.
All in all, the business sector is very powerful in this particular policy making decision. The two
main industries dealing with the airplanes themselves are the most powerful. The airline industry,
commercial airlines and manufacturers, employ hundreds of thousands of workers each. These
firms will be accommodated by us in our decision making progress.

two options in the benefits of life when it comes to theism. The two choices are: to believe in
God, or not to believe in God. Pascal calls this dilemma a wager. It is a wager because there are
different gains and losses from the two options, depending on whether or not Godexists. If God
exists, the believers will have eternal life, and the non believers will receive damnation. If God
does not exist, the believers will have been left out on the material fulfillments, and the non
believers will have reaped those benefits. Pascal s wager could be used as an evangelism method,
because it can be used to frighten people into theism. I believe Pascal... Show more content on

It would appear to be a safer bet to believe in God, because one would not have to worry about
eternal damnation. Finite material luxuries cannot compare to eternal life. Pascal s wager could
scare some people into believing in God; however, there is a problem with it. One would choose
to believe in God for their own benefit, rather than for the love of Christ. The belief could be
pretended, and the person would treat eternal life as a reward and a way to avoid damnation,
rather than following Christ genuinely. In John 14:23, Jesus says If anyone loves me, he will keep
my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with

Cultural Capital And Structural Violence
Despite the many disadvantages of being raised by a low income migrant family, one of my
advantages is my cultural capital which bypassed the structural violence around me. My cultural
capital consisted of having both a mother and father figure, which many children in South Central
lacked. For instance, children raised by a single parent suffered greater amount of hardships than
one raised by both parents. Accordingly, many of these single parents are forced to overwork in
order to financially support their children, as a result, leaving their children with minimal guidance
and nourishment. This is the result of structural violence in underserved communities. Structural
violence is the way the patriarchal system harms an individual through

Outline Discuss the Function of Families in Contemporary...
Outline discuss the function of families in contemporary UK society
The definition of the term family has somewhat gone through radical changes over the past few
decades in the UK, some 30 years ago a family was defined as being father, mother and children.
Some referred to this as the cereal box family as this was typically the type of family to be shown
on television commercials for cereal. This stereotype is more correctly known as the nuclear family,
however changes over the years has meant that this nuclear family is no longer a typical family
type within the UK. This has proven difficult for sociologists to provide a clear definition or
generalisation of the term family and such difficulties will be explored throughout ... Show more

The Marxist viewpoint on the family revolves around a capitalist society and believes that the
nuclear family is not a functionally necessary institution, although it is probably the best suited.
However, Marxists believe that the family bases itself upon private property and profit, whereby
men marry and then have children to pass on their profit to and women simply marry the men for
financial security. Together, Marxist feminists also revolve their viewpoint around a capitalist
society but focus more on the woman s role, rather than heirs and profit. They believe that the
woman s primary role is based within the home and therefore can be exploited as a source of cheap
labour because she is dependant on that of her husband s income. The woman, they believe, is a
housewife doing home chores to increase the father s ability to work and thus delivering more to
society. Also, by nurturing and teaching their children to become the next viable source of workers
in the future, the woman is helping society and saving on capitalisation costs. This therefore lays a
foundation for their children to be obedient later in life, punctual and altogether submit to their boss
in later life, without the need for society training these conformities, thus having cost nothing to the
capitalist.
Other reasons suggest that the nuclear family is no longer suited or even the most frequent

The Passion of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland
Review of The Passion of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland Both Artemisia s father and Agostino
Tassi, her father s friend, had spent quite a bit of time teaching her the art of painting. When she
was 18, Agostino Tassi, raped Artemisia Gentileschi of Rome during a lesson. When the rapist is
tried by a court of the Inquisition, it s more as if Artemisia is the criminal than Agostino who gets
off free (thanks partly to Artemisia s father, his own interest in having his painting returned,
trumping his daughter s dignity) while Artemisia, after torture and public humiliation, is left only
with a destroyed reputation. With father s help, however, a husband is found; Artemisia marries
Pietro Stiattesi, an artist, and moves to Florence, where her quotidian responsibilities do little to
quench her visceral need for painting. She s happy to be in the art center of the world and soon
gives birth to a daughter. Through perseverance and passion she comes to the attention of powerful
art patrons. She makes history by becoming the first woman elected to the Accademia dell Arte,
but makes waves with her husband as; predictably, he is envious of her growing fame as an artist.
Pietro reverts to his womanizing ways and their relationship is barely held together by their
daughter. Artemisia and her daughter, Palmira leave Pietro behind for a new patron to Genoa, but
not before meeting Buonaretti the Younger, being introduced to the Medici court, and growing into
a friendship with Galileo.

The Poetry Of Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Among the women poets in the nineteenth century, nobody was acknowledged and admired
more for their independence, courage, and accomplishments than Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
She passionately wrote about the issues of social injustice and later on in her life she expressed
her political opinions on the struggle with Italy and Austria. Elizabeth Barrett was born at
Coxhoe Hall, England, on March 6, 1806. She is the daughter of Mary Graham Clarke and
Edward Moulton Barrett, who obtained large amounts of money from his Jamaican sugar
plantations. Elizabeth lived a very privileged childhood in the country with her eleven younger
brothers and sisters. Even though she was not always full of energy, she still enjoyed riding her
pony and playing with her friends. She was a very intelligent child who excelled in reading and
continued to impress her tutors by studying languages like Greek, the Bible in Hebrew, classical
literature, philosophy, and history. Her father Edward was over protective and had forbidden her to
marry. He encouraged Elizabeth to write poetry, and published fifty copies of her narrative poem
The Battle of Marathon in 1820. Her father s concern for her rose when she was struck with
illness at the age of fifteen. Opium was prescribed to her and she would take it for various
illnesses for the rest of her life. Since women were viewed to be dependent upon men, Elizabeth
anonymously published An Essay on Mind with Other Poems in 1826.. Long afterwards in a
response to an American critic she called the book a girl s exercise, nothing more nor less! . The
poem for which the book was named was an admired effort and a general understanding in an
eighty eight page survey of the history of science, philosophy, and poetry, from ancient Greece to
the present. Fourteen other poems were occasionally written in a personal nature which did not
show the author s voice. Out of the two journals, one is noted for its mystery of language and
barren themes, and the other journal directed the reader to forget one s greed and look closer at
nature. After publishing this novel Elizabeth developed one of the most important friendships of
her life. Hugh Stuart Boyd, who was a completely blind middle aged

Shakti Chit And Prana Essay
Shakti, Chit, and Prana
Every act, every thought, every activity involves awareness, do these actions instinctively,
unconsciously, and without deliberateness and awareness is consumed in the maintenance of the
Self. Perform these acts deliberately and with impeccable Intent and one increases awareness.
Shakti, Chit, and Prana are terms that have interconnected meanings; Shakti (aether) is the most
subtle or pure of the forces and is the original source of Chit and Prana, while the latter is also the
power that flows through the Sri Yantra when activated. Shakti is often referred to as Spirit,
Divine Spirit, or Holy Spirit in western esoteric circles. In Hinduism in it is considered the
primordial cosmic energy representing the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the
entire universe, a divine feminine creative power, sometimes referred to as The Great Divine
Mother.
Concepts similar to Shakti, Chit, and Prana can be found in many cultures; for example, it is Prana

Two aspects that can be difficult for people to control of are education and personal responsibility.
It is always easier to shift blame when things do not go as planned, such as failing a quiz, or
turning in an assignment late. Those who shift blame have an external locus of control, meaning
they blame others instead of taking responsibility for their actions. Sisney et al., (2000) reported
that students having an external locus of control correlated to lower academic achievement and
higher dropout rates. High school dropouts exhibited more external control and were less likely
to stay in school because they feel that their destiny is out of their hands. If you make a mistake
you should own it, and never shift the blame, always plan to be honest in everything you say and
do. The most important reason if I hold myself accountable for my actions I am more likely to
move toward my goals is that by using time management strategies, planning, and goal setting I
am ensuring my college success. By using time management strategies, the student must figure
out how to use time wisely and organize tasks that need to be completed. I could even choose to
complete tasks early so I would not get the overwhelmed feeling when the deadline arrives. Being
more dedicated to the task at hand as well as my classmates and instructors would help me
progress toward my goals as well. For first year students self study and time management are

College Education Is No Longer Valuable
Many people believe that getting a college education is no longer valuable. They believe that
with the internet at their fingertips there is no need for a college education, but college
education provides more than just information for their students. College is about independence
and learning how to take charge of his or her life. It is an opportunity for students to learn about
their future career. Students learn about intriguing subjects, how to make lifelong friends, and
how to spend valuable time with people outside of his or her social circle. Students have the rest
of their lives to go to work every day, but college gives them a chance to make connections, build
networks, and get to know new people who have a different life experiences. Many people believe
that the time and cost of a college educationno longer outweighs the benefits; however, acquiring a
college degree gives students an opportunity to find their dream job and to earn more money in
the future. Before entering the workplace, students should take advantage of the opportunities that
acquiring a college degree will provide. One opportunity is that college allows students to learn
what career they like and dislike before they enter the labor force. College is a time to explore a
major that will continue to appeal to the studentthroughout his or her life. Many students are unsure
of their career path after graduating from high school. College provides students with a stepping

With the rapid increase in the number of attempted breaches and resulting damages, there is an
increased need for user authentication, especially with numerous unknown mobile devices with

Users of these mobile devices can be authenticated by the use of passwords or hardware token

while the use of passwords are inexpensive, they are thought to be a relatively insecure form of

Quebec Sovereigntists Swot Analysis
This essay looks to discuss Quebec sovereigntists and federalists, and how they differ in their
understandings of Canada and Quebec. To accomplish this, the paper looks at three points of
contention; how to understand history, the nature of the Quebec state, and recognition of Quebec.
The three points of contention show where the two view diverge and why, but the paper views
these points as merely pieces of the puzzle. As such only after looking at all three points does the
paper reach a conclusion about the real differences between the two views. The paper concludes
that sovereigntists view Quebecas distinct enfranchised nation within the confines of Canada, and
while viewing Canada as a subjugator and an enemy to Quebec. In comparison,... Show more

First, only the sovereigntists us Quebec`s history as a means to define Canada. Do to the nature
of their relationship, they see Canada as a force that undermines Quebec. The federalists may
agree that Canada undermined Quebec in the past, but this does not lead them to make any
decisions about the country as whole like the sovereigntists. But this does mean that both agree
about the nature of Quebec`s history. Secondly, both want to move on from this history. But this
is where differences arise. Federalists hold that to move on from the past, Quebec must simply
forget about it and instead value progress. But to the sovereigntists it s not so simple. They view
history as creating a path for Quebec`s future, a path of subjugation by Canada. As such, the
sovereigntists search for a critical juncture to create a new path. They conclude is sovereignty as
it naturally follows from the history of Quebec. This in turn brings us to the final comparison, the
justification for sovereignty. Sovereigntists see sovereignty as following naturally from the
history of Quebec, and furthermore being justified by the nature of the history. Federalists
however do not. This is presumably due to the fact that they do not see history as creating a path,
and as such see the future as open and free. Thus the history of Quebec causes sovereigntists to
have a negative view of Canada, create a path for Quebec, and justifying sovereignty, while
federalists see the past as not

Slavery In Spartacus
Current pop culture always finds ways to provide connections from past events to current problems
and challenges. These connections are oftentimes made in movies, The movie Spartacus directed
by Stanley Kubrick portrays many connections between slavery back in 70 BC to the Civil Rights
movement in 1960 s. Kubrick uses exaggeration and slightly unrealistic depiction of events to
emphasis the pain the slaves felt in these ancient times in order to draw parallels to the civil rights
movement and evoke connections in contemporary Americans.
In Rome in the year 70 BC, slaves were treated as the absolute lowest tier of society. Slaves were

In the previous paragraph I pointed out that slaves were bought in auction within the cities and
while they were used for city productions such as stone mining they never were bought while
working. A true conception the movie did reveal is the slaves felt trapped and that there was no
escape from slavery, when at that time there actually was, and trying to escape meant death for
them and they people who may be connected to them. Also revealed in the movie was the false
sense of freedom slaves felt while being under servitude of their masters, since even without
chains or bindings to keep them from going anywhere they knew there truly was no where to go.
The main conception of slavery at that time that was conveyed in the movie was the act of
survival that many slaves had within them, where they were always looking for another way out
and would do anything to not let that goal be ruined. Slaves at that time would kill for sport such
as in the Colosseum and battle for their lives for the happiness of their masters and maybe further
their chance of becoming free. The movie made many points to provide accurate conceptions of
slavery in Ancient Rome time and used those conceptions and use of characters to make the
audience feel as they were a slave themselves and enduring all the things they

The Ever-Reliable Chimney Starter
4. The Ever Reliable Chimney Starter
A chimney starter or a charcoal chimney is a cylindrical device constructed out of steel. It can vary
in size depending on the model and the manufacturer, but most of the ones we see are about 6in to
8in in diameter.
It has a space at the bottom where you are supposed to start your fire. You can access this through
holes surrounding the bottom of the cylinder.
As the name suggests, the chimney starter works pretty much like a portable fireplace. Crumple a
few pages of a newspaper and stuff them inside the bottom of the cylinder and fill the top with
charcoal.
Then, light the paper in a couple of areas and watch until the coals at the bottom begin to light up.

To Wrap It All Up

The Seven Year War going from 1756 to 1763, was the first global war, which starts in North
America and spreads to Europe and all around the world. It begins when Britain declares war on
France. Imperial rivals, France and Britain struggled for supremacy. Early in the war, The French
(helped by Canadian militia and Aboriginal allies) defeated a number of British attacks and
captured several British forts. This war laid the bicultural foundations of modern Canada.
The Seven Year War was caused by ongoing tension between Great Britain and France. Also,
Russian and Austrian fears of Prussia s growing power in Europe. It ended up to further colonial

Marriage In Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales
In Geoffrey Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales, a group of traveling pilgrims on their way from
London to Canterbury pass the time by telling each other stories and tales. A handful of the tales
are on the topic of marriage, most notably The Miller s Tale, The Wife of Bath s Tale and The
Merchant s Tale. The Miller talks about his wife and marriagepoorly in his prologue and his tale is
just as cynical. The Wife of Bath reveals in her prologue that she has had five husbands, something
that was frowned upon then just as it still is in today s society. In her tale, the story sees the main
character change his view on his own marriage from a negative thing to something he cherishes.
Finally, The Merchant s prologue reveals that he, too, has a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

However, The Miller says that there was quite an age difference between John and Alisoun, his
wife, and that John heeld hire narwe in cage , meaning that he held her in confinement (Chaucer
267). Husbands having this type of control over their wives was not unique to this time period
seeing as it was the norm for many years to come. One part of the story describes what Alisoun
is wearing and how she looks. This section goes on for lines and lines and implies that women
are only good for their appearance. He also says that Alisoun is gent and smal , which can be
translated to slender and delicate while also revealing that she is merely eighteen years old
(Chaucer 267). As the story goes on, Nicholas is introduced. He professes his love for her and begs
her to return the emotion. She declines and he reacts negatively, to which Alisoun immediately
changes her mind and returns his love. She says that they can be together if they wait patiently and
are secretive (Chaucer 268). Planning to cheat on one s husband is not something that would be
viewed positively in that time and this shows that Alisoun, in a way, did not conform to the way
that women were expected to act in marriages at the time. Even though cheating has never been
held to a high standard during any time period, having a female character want to act unfaithfully
to her husband can be seen as a good thing in terms of female empowerment in The Miller s Tale.

little brother. . . . Don t cry. Keep your anger and hatred for another day, for later on. The day will

put him first before anyone. Her kindness and her words showed that she still had her humanity
to be there for him. She even put her life on the line for him. She never spoke so they thought

The British House Of Lords Arguments Against Euthanasia
Euthanasia is the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in
an irreversible coma. It is deliberately ending a person s life to relieve suffering. Euthanasia
sometimes refers to any method of hastening a suffering person s death, including ending life
sustaining medical treatment, assisting in suicide, and taking direct action (such as giving a lethal
injection) to cause death. At other times, it refers only to taking direct action to cause another s

The Consequences Of Grade Inflation
The Consequences of Grade Inflation We ve all been pleasantly surprised by receiving a higher
grade than expected on a school assignment or exam. Unfortunately, the average grade being
given to today s college student does not reflect the quality of the work submitted, and it is
having a negative effect on students. Students end up using valuable grant and loan money taking
developmental classes, because they received passing grades in core subjects when they should
have failed. Teachers have adapted their grading system to reflect the under developed skills of
the students. This practice handicaps students during their academic years, as well as their post
graduation and entry into the workforce. Through a more rigid grading system, today s students
would improve their work ethic and become more prepared to face post graduation challenges. The
problem we are discussing is called gradeinflation , and it has become widespread on campuses
across America. In the 1950 s, the average GPA for college students was 2.52; by 2006, that figure
had risen to 3.11 (Newlon). According to former Duke UniversityprofessorStuart Rojstaczer, At
some colleges, over 50% of the grades given are A s. Rojstaczer s school of thought is that this
trend began during the Vietnam War era, as a result of professors helping students to stay in school
in order to avoid the draft (Newlon). Long after the end of the Vietnam War and student deferments,
this trend continues. This trend does not

Origin of Accounting
Accounting historians have attempted to relate their knowledge of the variety of accounting
practices at various points of time, and in various places. It is to wider questions of the role of
accounting in reflecting and shaping not only business and management practice, but also
economic and social organization more generally. Finley s classic ВЎВ§The Ancient
EconomyВЎВЁ , which analyzed the embedded ness of ancient economic activity in the social
structure, and in the status concerns of the free citizens, as constituting a brake on the development
of profit focused markets and correspondingly on technology and trade. It saw the state of ancient
accounting as itself making impossible sophisticated profit oriented calculation and rational... Show

Writing, for example, is as old as civilization itself, but arithmetic ВЎV the systematic manipulation
of number symbols ВЎV was really not a tool possessed by the ancients. Rather, the persistent use
of Roman numerals for financial transactions long after the introduction of Arabic numeration
appears to have hindered the earlier creation of double entry systems. Nevertheless, the problems
encountered by the ancients with record keeping, control and verification of financial transactions
were not entirely different from our current ones. Governments, in particular, had strong incentives
to keep careful records of receipts and disbursements ВЎV particularly concerning taxes. And in
any society where individuals accumulated wealth, there was a desire by the rich to perform audits
on the honesty and skill of slaves and employees entrusted with asset management. But the lack of
the above listed antecedents to double entry bookkeeping made the job of an ancient accountant
extraordinarily difficult. In societies where nearly all were illiterate, writing materials costly,
numeration difficult and money systems inconsistent, a transaction had to be extremely important
to justify keeping an accounting record. Five thousand years before the appearance of double entry,
the Assyrian, Chaldaean Babylonian and Sumerian civilizations were flourishing in the
Mesopotamian Valley, producing some of the oldest known records of commerce. In this area

In any society, the idea of travelling abroad is still taboo in most circles the ethnocentric ideals of most traditional cultures, while not outright forbidding, but still do look down on the practice of leaving home with goals of success. Whether it be religious thoughts of demons abroad or wanting to keep handy laborers at home, or any other reason, there is always reason for those wanting to wanting to keep such virile young at home, and they will often attempt to do so. Those leaving will give up their identity, but not in any kind of negative way; as they grow, they will find themselves changed by time, as they embrace the new ideas and rituals of their live in society. They may go home, but with the inward change and newfound knowledge, they will not be able to see the worldwith their young eyes, as they once had. • 5. The Ethical Principles Of Ethics Ethics is a crucial principle in human lives. It is necessary here to clarify exactly what is meant by Ethics. The term ethics may be defined as a set of principles and concepts that guide people to determine what behavior helps or harms sentient creatures (Paul Elder, 2006). Generally, in all nations and cultures, parents always teach their children the importance of truthfulness, forgiveness and honesty and all of that consider as parts of morality. Thus, in individual level, morality is significant, therefore, in organizational level morality and integrity should be at the same level of importance. It is generally believed that ethical policies are highly necessary in every organisation or association. Research environment is one of the areas, which highly require some moral regulation and policy especially in some developing countries. In this paper, the terms Research ethical regulations are used to describe group of principles and policies that aim to regulate each step of research (Oates, et al., 2010). The safety of all volunteers is one of the major concern in research ethics (Rawnsley, 2014). This policy does not only aim to ensure that there is no physical harm to any participant, but also intend to prevent the occurrence of any psychological effects for volunteers (Rawnsley, 2014). Furthermore, the availability of such policy emboldens and keep the best ethical research practice (Oates, et al., 2010). In addition to the previous point, this policy ... • 7. The Three Branches Of The Government The Three Branches of the Government The Government has three branches for law making. When a law is being created, it starts at the Legislative, and then gets passed to the Executive branch, then to the Judicial branch. Each branch has their own area of the law that they look at. In the end, it is decided if the law will be issued to the people. When the law is being created, it starts at the Legislative branch. In the branch, Congress is made up of two houses, the Senate and the House of Representatives. In Senate, there are 100 senators, making it two senators from each state. Once elected, they will serve a six year term in Senate. The Vice President is known as the head of Senate, but is only involved in the voting when there is a tie. They also approve the recommendations made by the President to the Cabinet, the Supreme Court, federal courts, and other posts. All the Senate must ratify all of the treaties by a two third vote. In the House of Representatives, there are 435 representatives. Each state has a certain number of representatives depending on the population. An example of this would be New York and Rhode Island. New York would have more representatives because the population is much bigger in the busy state then Rhode Island s would be. This is decided by the yearly Census. If it shifts, a representative could be added or subtracted. The representatives elected, will serve a two year term. They also elect the Speaker of the House, who is the head. . The ... • 8. Battle Of Britain Advantages And Disadvantages In the summer and fall of 1940, the first major air battle of history took place after the Fall of France in World War 2. The British fought to defend their skies against the force of the Germans. The Battle of Britain also marked the first major defeat of Hitler s military forces during the war, with air superiority seen as the key to victory. England and Germany viewed air power in different ways. Germany viewed air power as support for ground forces and had no strategic bomber development. Meanwhile, the British had an independent military service called the Royal Air Force (RAF). The RAF had a fighter command and a bomber command. Operation Sealion was the German plan to invade England. They gathered ships and barges in Northern France ports to transport their invasion forces across the English Channelby ferries. Along with this, three Luftflotte, (air fleets) were assigned to the operation. What the Germans needed was to neutralize the Royal Air Force and gain air superiority in order to successfully invade Great Britain. The task was given to Hermann GГ¶ring, Air Marshall of the German Luftwaffe. However, there was one downside to this operation; the RAF must be neutralized before autumn storms made the crossing of the English Channel impossible. In The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe , both the original novel and the 2005 movie, betrayal is shown to be natural behaviour that can fortify relationships and teach people to forgive. He has full authority to make big business decisions and reports business income from the Schedule C to his Form 1040. He is currently deciding on re electing his business and giving his daughter 40% ownership of the business. When a current owner brings in new business associates, allocating a percentage of ownership is crucial. The individual with majority share has the voting power to make or break critical business decisions. An even 50/50 spilt might create a deadlock which could negatively impact the business. For example, another used car dealership wants to buy Mr. Jones business. Mr. Jones thinks the sale is a good idea, but Mandy is completely against it. Since the two are in a deadlock, the interested company may back out of the offer if a decision is not immediately made. Using the same scenario with the 60 /40 split, Mr. Jones is a majority shareholder and has the voting authority over Mandy to accept the offer despite any rejections (Duff 2016). Financially speaking, the duo is better off with the 60/40 split. The S corporation election allows for income and deductions from the business to flow down to the taxpayers. If Mr. Jones decided to stay a sole proprietor, he claims the entire $1,200,000 on his Form 1040. Milestone 12: Case Study Eclipse Yujia Xie I.Introduction Eclipse is an open source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for almost every computer programming language over a dozen platforms (Mac, Linux, Windows, etc.). In fact, it is one of the most popular IDEs nowadays for multiple programming languages, especially Java. Back in 2001, Eclipse 1.0 came out as a framework, a flexible architecture that served as the building tool for developers, providing a variety of accessible toolkits, private or public, to ease to process of programming. Over the course of time, Eclipse takes in developers feedbacks and enhances its accessibility and usability, releasing new versions with more functionality (i.e. Java Development Tools, Plug in Development Environment, Rich Client Platform, etc.). One of the core ideas behind Eclipse is to allow users (in this case developers) to write and share modules (i.e. toolkits), different from the previous IDEs that hides their individual building classes. For example, the pioneer Plug in Development Environment (PDE) for Eclipse was designed specifically for this purpose, allowing developers to build and test their own plugins that would later benefit the performance of Eclipse. Eclipse provide an environment that individual users can manipulate the framework to facilitate their daily work. Outline discuss the function of families in contemporary UK society The definition of the term family has somewhat gone through radical changes over the past few decades in the UK, some 30 years ago a family was defined as being father, mother and children. Some referred to this as the cereal box family as this was typically the type of family to be shown on television commercials for cereal. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Marxist viewpoint on the family revolves around a capitalist society and believes that the nuclear family is not a functionally necessary institution, although it is probably the best suited. However, Marxists believe that the family bases itself upon private property and profit, whereby men marry and then have children to pass on their profit to and women simply marry the men for financial security. Together, Marxist feminists also revolve their viewpoint around a capitalist society but focus more on the woman s role, rather than heirs and profit. They believe that the woman s primary role is based within the home and therefore can be exploited as a source of cheap labour because she is dependant on that of her husband s income. The woman, they believe, is a housewife doing home chores to increase the father s ability to work and thus delivering more to society. Also, by nurturing and teaching their children to become the next viable source of workers in the future, the woman is helping society and saving on capitalisation costs. This therefore lays a foundation for their children to be obedient later in life, punctual and altogether submit to their boss in later life, without the need for society training these conformities, thus having cost nothing to the capitalist. When she was 18, Agostino Tassi, raped Artemisia Gentileschi of Rome during a lesson. When the rapist is tried by a court of the Inquisition, it s more as if Artemisia is the criminal than Agostino who gets off free (thanks partly to Artemisia s father, his own interest in having his painting returned, trumping his daughter s dignity) while Artemisia, after torture and public humiliation, is left only with a destroyed reputation. With father s help, however, a husband is found; Artemisia marries Pietro Stiattesi, an artist, and moves to Florence, where her quotidian responsibilities do little to quench her visceral need for painting. She s happy to be in the art center of the world and soon gives birth to a daughter. Through perseverance and passion she comes to the attention of powerful art patrons. She makes history by becoming the first woman elected to the Accademia dell Arte, but makes waves with her husband as; predictably, he is envious of her growing fame as an artist. Pietro reverts to his womanizing ways and their relationship is barely held together by their daughter. Artemisia and her daughter, Palmira leave Pietro behind for a new patron to Genoa, but not before meeting Buonaretti the Younger, being introduced to the Medici court, and growing into a friendship with Galileo. ... • 28. The Poetry Of Elizabeth Barrett Browning Among the women poets in the nineteenth century, nobody was acknowledged and admired more for their independence, courage, and accomplishments than Elizabeth Barrett Browning. She passionately wrote about the issues of social injustice and later on in her life she expressed her political opinions on the struggle with Italy and Austria. Elizabeth Barrett was born at Coxhoe Hall, England, on March 6, 1806. She is the daughter of Mary Graham Clarke and Edward Moulton Barrett, who obtained large amounts of money from his Jamaican sugar plantations. Elizabeth lived a very privileged childhood in the country with her eleven younger brothers and sisters. Even though she was not always full of energy, she still enjoyed riding her pony and playing with her friends. She was a very intelligent child who excelled in reading and continued to impress her tutors by studying languages like Greek, the Bible in Hebrew, classical literature, philosophy, and history. Her father Edward was over protective and had forbidden her to marry. He encouraged Elizabeth to write poetry, and published fifty copies of her narrative poem The Battle of Marathon in 1820. Her father s concern for her rose when she was struck with illness at the age of fifteen. Opium was prescribed to her and she would take it for various illnesses for the rest of her life. Since women were viewed to be dependent upon men, Elizabeth anonymously published An Essay on Mind with Other Poems in 1826.. Long afterwards in a response to an American critic she called the book a girl s exercise, nothing more nor less! . The poem for which the book was named was an admired effort and a general understanding in an eighty eight page survey of the history of science, philosophy, and poetry, from ancient Greece to the present. Fourteen other poems were occasionally written in a personal nature which did not show the author s voice. Out of the two journals, one is noted for its mystery of language and barren themes, and the other journal directed the reader to forget one s greed and look closer at nature. After publishing this novel Elizabeth developed one of the most important friendships of her life. Hugh Stuart Boyd, who was a completely blind middle aged ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two aspects that can be difficult for people to control of are education and personal responsibility. It is always easier to shift blame when things do not go as planned, such as failing a quiz, or turning in an assignment late. Those who shift blame have an external locus of control, meaning they blame others instead of taking responsibility for their actions. Sisney et al., (2000) reported that students having an external locus of control correlated to lower academic achievement and higher dropout rates. High school dropouts exhibited more external control and were less likely to stay in school because they feel that their destiny is out of their hands. If you make a mistake you should own it, and never shift the blame, always plan to be honest in everything you say and do. The most important reason if I hold myself accountable for my actions I am more likely to move toward my goals is that by using time management strategies, planning, and goal setting I am ensuring my college success. By using time management strategies, the student must figure out how to use time wisely and organize tasks that need to be completed. I could even choose to complete tasks early so I would not get the overwhelmed feeling when the deadline arrives. Being more dedicated to the task at hand as well as my classmates and instructors would help me progress toward my goals as well. • 33. Quebec Sovereigntists Swot Analysis This essay looks to discuss Quebec sovereigntists and federalists, and how they differ in their understandings of Canada and Quebec. To accomplish this, the paper looks at three points of contention; how to understand history, the nature of the Quebec state, and recognition of Quebec. The three points of contention show where the two view diverge and why, but the paper views these points as merely pieces of the puzzle. As such only after looking at all three points does the paper reach a conclusion about the real differences between the two views. The paper concludes that sovereigntists view Quebecas distinct enfranchised nation within the confines of Canada, and while viewing Canada as a subjugator and an enemy to Quebec. In comparison,... Do to the nature of their relationship, they see Canada as a force that undermines Quebec. The federalists may agree that Canada undermined Quebec in the past, but this does not lead them to make any decisions about the country as whole like the sovereigntists. But this does mean that both agree about the nature of Quebec`s history. Secondly, both want to move on from this history. But this is where differences arise. Federalists hold that to move on from the past, Quebec must simply forget about it and instead value progress. But to the sovereigntists it s not so simple. They view history as creating a path for Quebec`s future, a path of subjugation by Canada. As such, the sovereigntists search for a critical juncture to create a new path. They conclude is sovereignty as it naturally follows from the history of Quebec. This in turn brings us to the final comparison, the justification for sovereignty. Sovereigntists see sovereignty as following naturally from the history of Quebec, and furthermore being justified by the nature of the history. Federalists however do not. This is presumably due to the fact that they do not see history as creating a path, and as such see the future as open and free. Thus the history of Quebec causes sovereigntists to have a negative view of Canada, create a path for Quebec, and justifying sovereignty, while federalists see the past as not ... These connections are oftentimes made in movies, The movie Spartacus directed by Stanley Kubrick portrays many connections between slavery back in 70 BC to the Civil Rights movement in 1960 s. Kubrick uses exaggeration and slightly unrealistic depiction of events to emphasis the pain the slaves felt in these ancient times in order to draw parallels to the civil rights movement and evoke connections in contemporary Americans. In the previous paragraph I pointed out that slaves were bought in auction within the cities and while they were used for city productions such as stone mining they never were bought while working. A true conception the movie did reveal is the slaves felt trapped and that there was no escape from slavery, when at that time there actually was, and trying to escape meant death for them and they people who may be connected to them. Also revealed in the movie was the false sense of freedom slaves felt while being under servitude of their masters, since even without chains or bindings to keep them from going anywhere they knew there truly was no where to go. The main conception of slavery at that time that was conveyed in the movie was the act of survival that many slaves had within them, where they were always looking for another way out and would do anything to not let that goal be ruined. Slaves at that time would kill for sport such as in the Colosseum and battle for their lives for the happiness of their masters and maybe further their chance of becoming free. Unfortunately, the average grade being given to today s college student does not reflect the quality of the work submitted, and it is having a negative effect on students. Students end up using valuable grant and loan money taking developmental classes, because they received passing grades in core subjects when they should have failed. Teachers have adapted their grading system to reflect the under developed skills of the students. This practice handicaps students during their academic years, as well as their post graduation and entry into the workforce.
