Relational Data Models Versus No Sql Data Model
Relational Data Model Versus No SQL Data Model
Rutu Patel
CSIT 555 Database Systems
Midterm Research Paper
[1] INTRODUCTION:
The term database can be defined as the collection of systematic, well ordered and structured data that
can be easily and efficiently handled, retrieved and upgraded on a periodic basis depending on its
requirements. The structure and organization of any database is based upon its respective database
model.
A unique database model is implemented by each database depending upon the logical structure of the
data that is being handled by that database. There are numerous distinct database models out in the
market at present that allow the application developers to effectively manage the data. The most
widely welcomed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fundamental theory of logical relations among the grouped data is incorporated in the relational
database model. This method offers numerous advantages such as keeping the structured data in an
organized and logically related manner, ease of data handling in case of related data or information,
simplicity of data management and many more. In general, it can be stated that those database systems
that assimilate the technique of relational SQL data model can execute in a productive and precise
method.
[3] THE NO SQL DATABASE SYSTEM AND KEY VALUE STORE DATA MODEL:
The term No SQL is considered in a much wider vision which means Not Only SQL . This can be
elaborated in the sense that the concept of No SQL does not consider the complete elimination of SQL
language, rather it focuses on supporting other SQL like queries. The No SQL Database basically
follows a model free approach. The leading advantage of implementing the No SQL database is
eliminating all the restrictions of the rigorously followed structured model in the relational database
system. In No SQL approach, there are many flexibilities of choosing eligible data structure according
to the information or data that has to be handled. Some of the widely followed data models of the No
SQL database are key value stores, column family stores, document database, graph database, etc. The
fundamental concept behind the development of the key value store data model is to create a data
model that

Es G And Ehs Management Practices
In today s business matter, numerous perspectives emphasize sustainability. Several environmental,
social, and governance issues, including health and safety among other factors, have contributed to the
diverse aspects of sustainability. The complex business reforms brought by the Environmental, Health
and Safety (EHS), including social and governance (ES G) issues remain indistinctive in several
disciplines. Some widespread proposals exist over the application of, ES G and EHS management
practices and methods. To understand sustainability, it is essential to discover how it has emerged and
maintained a business focus.

Policymakers must consider a new development paradigm because it concerns public welfare. Future
generations must be taken into account when creating these developments within the paradigm. Not
only should the paradigm consider the interdependence of economic, social, and environmental
dimensions, but also human needs must be met without compromising the future generation s quality
of life.
One must observe that sustainability, is conceptually a broader interception of environmental, social,
and economic issues. In 1989, William Rees, a professor with a creditable Ph.D. in population
ecology, suggested that an agreeable universal definition of the concept sustainable development was
precondition to developing acceptable policies and plans to support this concept. During the same
year, Swedish doctor named Karl Hendrick Robert, assembled a group of scientists and researchers.
Similarly, he believed the term lacked practical sense, thus his mission was to reach a scientifically
meaning for it. Subsequently, the research concluded that stainability is the capacity of the human
society to continue indefinitely within the cycles of natural environment. A broad connotation on
sustainable development created a complex

Essay Religion in American Politics
The United States of America has the most diverse religious population in the world. In places like
Iraq, Syria, Israel, Afghanistan, Yemen, and other countries too numerous to mention, countless lives
are lost over religious differences. In America, a Protestant can live happily next door to a Jew, who
might live across the street from a Muslim, or a Catholic, or a Sikh, or even a Humanist! This is in no
small way attributed to the fact that the US Constitution s First Amendment includes what is known as
the establishment clause, which states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of
religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, effectively separating affairs of religious institutions
from secular, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was starting to look as if politics were beginning to become more secular. As it is well known, after
Kennedy s assassination, Lyndon B. Johnson carried out the rest of Kennedy s term, and then ran for
reelection in 1964. Johnson, a left leaning Democrat found himself up against Barry Goldwater from
the right minded Republican Party. Early on in the 20th century, many of Protestant denominations
had adopted progressive, social reformist doctrines, that many people still value to this day. Despite
being Protestant, Goldwater s platform took a much more conservative approach. This ended up
backfiring on him, however, as many Christian publications stated that they opposed Goldwater s
policies. He was further stigmatized by the religious publication The Christian Century as turning his
patriotic rhetoric into religious nationalism. To make matters worse for Goldwater, in October of 1964,
less than a month before the general election, 725 Episcopalian clergy and laymen from forty one
states signed a resolution accusing him of a transparent exploitation of racialism. Richard Nixon, a
Republican and ex Vice President at the time, claimed that these allegations were the most vicious in
political history. As a result, Lyndon Johnson won the 1964 election in an unprecedented landslide
victory, with Barry Goldwater only winning six states: his native Arizona, and five states in the heart
of the Bible Belt (Kosmin 1993:174 5). While religious leaders in the end

Broken Crown Myth
What to do with a broken crown tooth?
The importance of the teeth is nothing new to be described as these plays an inevitable role in our life.
All of us understand the need and the advantage of having healthy teeth throughout our life. The
dentures and the implants are the excellent examples to teach us the usefulness of the original teeth.
There are several complications that are related with the oral and dental health that tend us to seek the
services from a dentist. The broken crown is one of these complications that require intervention from
the dentists. The crowns are usually found to be intact for lifetime but in some cases, these may
become broken or get chipped due to different reasons. In these conditions, we need to see the dentist
for an appropriate cure.
What is a crown tooth?
The simplest definition of the dental crown is that; It is a sort of dental restoration that surrounds the
cap of the tooth to make a cap like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As discussed earlier the degree of damage of the crown is responsible for the severity of the
symptoms; for example, the broken crown in hard traumatic injury may develop sharp pain while the
chronic decay may be characterized by the hot and cold sensations.
Is there anything I can do to fix it?
This is the biggest mistake that anyone can make after having the broken crown. The dental crowns
are typical implants sort of object that cannot be fitted without expert dental intervention. The ideas
about rubbing some material on the broken crown or filling it with some material may not only
deteriorate the situation but also create further complications.
Should I replace?
It is strongly advised to replace the dental crown to prevent the chances of further damage to the tooth.
The chipped or the cracked tooth may easily get damaged in case of chewing something or due to the
effect of the beverages or the other hard things. It is better to replace the same as early as possible.
What is the cost of the dental

that can not be said for the raccoon. Raccoon population numbers have risen alongside humans

UT Southwesten Medical School
UT Southwestern
UT Southwestern Medical School was formed in 1943 in the Southwestern Medical District of Dallas,
Texas. It started off as a small wartime medical college and since then has grown exponentially. It now
provides care to almost 90,000 patients and oversees 2 million outpatient visits and is affiliated with
four hospitals: Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children s Medical Center, Zale Lipshy University

Abstract
View planning is a crucial part of building vision system for autonomous robots or critical coverage
problems. In computational geometry the problem of covering/guarding a region is known as the art
gallery theorem. The version where static guards are re placed by mobile guards is known as the
watchman route theorem. Both these classic theorem adopts the straight line notion of visibility which
is impractical for real world sensors. In this work we review the existing techniques for solving the
classical ver sion of these problems and also discuss the modi cations needed to handle real world
sensors. We also discuss some recent methods that takes physical visibility constraints into account.
1 Introduction
Producing autonomous robots that can operate without any sort of human intervention is one of the
ultimate goals in robotics [42]. Such robots should be capable of exploring their environment,
interpret the surroundings and act accordingly. Vision is clearly one of the most critical capability such
a robot must have to act autonomously. When exploring an unknown environment, a robot is rst
required to extract information about the surroundings.
Following this exploration, it should be able to carry out speci c task such as nding potentially

Being Well Rounded Research Paper
The idea that being a well rounded person has surfaced in many areas of life, including college
resumes and job related fields. Those who are advanced enough to be considered well rounded are
those that are in high demand for jobs around the globe. Many would ask what does it mean to be well
rounded, being that it could mean a variety of things. Being well rounded is the specification given to
those with knowledge and skills from multiple backgrounds. These skills can come from anything
including a background in arts, humanities, sports and much more but one of the greatest skills that
can better one as a worker and human being overall is the skill in music. Music can benefit those
involved by bettering them as a problem solver, giving a change in perspective, benefiting overall
health and driving one to success. Attaining a skill in music has the added benefit of ... Show more

this skill comes naturally, the better a problem solver that one can make themselves be, the easier life
becomes and the more likely one will be hired. There is a multitude of ways that one can acquire these
problem solving skills, bettering them all together, but many do not know what learning and listening
to music is one of them. One of the greater pleasures in life such as listening to music can actually
better those listening with math. There are many times that it was stated that classical music can help
you study while increasing grades and shortening the time span that it takes to study. What many have
not heard is that it has the ability to enhance one s mathematical skills and problem solving abilities.

Character Analysis Of The Last Airbender
The only thing I can really say about The Last Airbender is this: Epic Fail. Paramount Pictures gave
M. Night Shyamalan $150 million dollars to adapt the popular Nickolodeon cartoon for the big screen.
What they got is an absolute mess of a movie, complete with poor acting, the most hackneyed script
ever, and a last minute conversion to 3 D that only serves to destroys what was possibly some lush
cinematography. Airbender makes a determined effort. It is nigh impossible to find anything right with
Airbender. The story is ridiculously complex. In a world where people can manipulate (bend) the four
elements of air, earth, fire and water, depending on their tribal affiliation, there exists a being (the
Avatar) who can manipulate all four. This person is also the sole being capable of communing the the
spirit world which serves to keep things in balance. This being went missing 100 years ago, only to be
found in a giant ice sphere by two children of the water tribe. In the 100 years the Avatar has been
gone, the Fire tribe has begun conquering the others, though we re never really told why. The
disgraced Prince Zuko (Dev Patel) of the Fire tribe wants to the Avatar so he can return to his family.
The Water children need to save the Avatar to ensure the Fire people don t win. For this point on it
becomes to silly to try and summarize. Shyamalan succumbs to his own hubris, loading the film with
long, boring exposition communicated through long, boring speeches that I m sure were

Heterotrimeric Meaning Pathway
Describe the signalling pathways downstream of the heterotrimeric G proteins Gs, Gi and Gq.
Heterotrimeric G proteins are an important group of proteins involved in signal transduction and are
associated with G protein coupled receptors (GPCR). These proteins bind to guanine nucleotides:
guanosine triphosphate (GTP) and guanosine diphosphate (GDP). Gs, Gi and Gq are the three
different G protein families that exists.
G proteins are have three subunits, alpha (), beta () and gamma (), each composed of different amino
acid therefore they are known as heterotrimeric. The G and G are tightly attached to each other so are
known as the beta gamma complex (G). G subunit has an important feature which is the binding site
for exchange of GTP to GDP.

Our Nation s Critical Infrastructure
In the past sixteen years the United States has seen significant changes to the national policies that
protect the population and its critical infrastructure. Two main agencies that arose from the 911
Attacks were the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Homeland Defense
(HLD). These two agencies are responsible for protecting countless potential terrorist targets, millions
of citizens, and the thousands of miles of U.S boarders. How can two government agencies protect so
many assets? This paper will explore the two agencies and identify key roles, responsibilities,
resources, and operations. It will highlight the efforts shared between the two agencies and provide the
authors own definition of the DHS. Lastly, this paper will identify our nation s critical infrastructure
and how it intertwines with the DHS and HLD, by discussing the resources needed to operate
successfully. These two agencies may be separate organizations but they have much more in common
than one might think. Let s begin by looking at the primary mission of each agency. According to
classroom text, The DHS is responsible for preparation of, prevention of, deterrence of, preemption of,
defense against, and response to threats and aggression directed towards U.S. territory, sovereignty,
domestic population, and infrastructure; as well as crisis management, and consequence management
(Week 1 Lesson). The DHS has a wide array of responsibilities that incorporates twenty nine

Matter can take on different changes physically and chemically, for an example of a physical change is
when water freezes into ice, there is no chemical change to the water but a physical change the ice is
just water molecules made of hydrogen and oxygen packed tightly together. But, another physical
change would be bending iron metal, the iron is still the same chemically whether it is made into I
beams, or pressed into shapes to make the body of a car; the shape may change but it never changes
chemically. In addition, a chemical change is the results in one or more substances that make up an
entirely different composition from the original substances. The compounds and/ or elements at the
start of the chemical reaction are rearranged into a new product of compounds or elements. Also a
chemical reaction alters the composition of the original matter, different elements or compounds are
present at the end of the chemical change. Although an example of a chemical reaction is the process
of rusting, you start with Iron mixed with air and water you get a different compound. Along with
chemical changes the Law of Conservation of Mass plays a part in it too. The Law of Conservation of

PRP assists organisations to encourage employees to give greater effort, as well as serves the purpose
of attracting employees with a greater skill and higher drive to achieve (Booth and Frank, 1999). It has
an effect on recruitment and retention of staff, as it provides an opportunity for people to receive
additional income. Little (1991) believes that pay links cause and effect, therefore employees of PRP
systems become committed to the organisation and improve their performance in order to be paid
more. However, theory X and theory Y regarding the motivation indicate that the real motivator for
the employee is the actual work itself (Fuller Love, 1997). Moreover, Armstrong (2002) believes that
remuneration is not the only motivator, or even an effective motivator. PRP links the individual, team
and organisation s performance together. The company sets targets for employees based on its overall
objectives. However, PRP encourages employees to focus on their own objective. They seek their
short term fulfilment in order to gain supplementary pay, thus the organisations long term objective
will land up being ignored (Armstrong and Baron, 1998). Performance assessment plays an important
role in PRP. Armstrong (2002) said: Organisations cannot pay for performance unless they can

The Association Between Worker Prosperity And...
Introduction In today s developing world, a great association between the representative and the
association is essential. For the association s profitability in each field, representatives ought to be
prosperity. The associations opposition for giving best in business is high. Thus, to pick up the upper
hand viability of the firm is imperative. This can just be achieved when there is a decent connection
between the workers and association. In this exposition, I will depict about the association between
worker prosperity and authoritative viability. The five components which are affecting on worker
prosperity and giving illustration for every element. Likewise disclose how to execute those variables
on representatives to take compelling work from them. Worker prosperity is characterized as that bit
of a representative s general wellbeing that they see to be determined basically by work and can be
influenced by workplace intercessions in the organisation. (John P. Meyer, 2010)The employee
satisfactions depends upon the happiness and working environment of an employee. The fundamental
point is that the representative prosperity absolutely relates with emotions, perspectives and
impression of the worker about their work and their firm. On the off chance that the worker is content
with their occupation and their executive means they get the correct admiration about their position
than just the representative can give their best to the organisation (Allisey, 2011). This

A microbiome is a community of microorganism that exist in a certain environment. Looking at gut

Jazz is a form of meaningful communication that exists without verbal exchanges. Besides being a
pleasure to the ear, jazz music is a type of music that a talented composer arranges. The emotional
performance of the musician undergoes many changes. The personal experiences of each musician
makes the music special through the use of his phalanges. This intimacy is then used to convey certain
ideals that pertains to an issue outside of music. The extensive impact that the communication
between the performer and the audience creates makes jazz unique; no other form of music has the

jazz. I could specifically detect this call and response when the vocalist came on around halfway

silence. The way that each musician responds to each other gave the song a sense of community and

La Haine Review Essay
La Haine Review
La Haine , a 93 minute film regarding about three adolescents(Vincent Cassel, Hubert Kounde, and
Said Taghmaoui) who struggle to cope in a poverty stricken environment in which hatred and violence
are part of everyday life. Even the title La Haine which is a French word, translated to The Hatred
suggests what the film is about. Based on a true event, La Haine is inspired by a real event where a
young man was murdered while being questioned at a Parisian Police station. In exploring racism in
the Paris suburbs, this film has a direct contrast with more typical French films, such as Amelie(2001)
which presents a far more romantic and idyllic vision of French life. The beginning of La Haine shows

This environment reinforces the adolescent s need to construct a masculine identity as Les Banlieues
is a dangerous, threatening society to live in so this reinforces the need for a masculine identity
because the adolescents feel that they have succeed in certain situations that requires physical strength
and fitness and also tend to express themselves verbally and physically. This is shown after the
beginning when Vinz has a banter with Said.
Kassovitz develops the identities of Vinz, Said and Hubert in certain scenes. In the scene where Vinz
finds a policeman s gun, his normal persona changes as Vinz vows to kill every policeman if the trio s
friend,Abdel, dies. This depicts his masculinity as Vinz is subtly pressured to act masculine due to
Abdel being in hospital and if Vinz appears to look or become weak then it will appear to Said and
Hubert that Vinz is more feminine if Vinz expresses his emotions. This will also, as a whole, ruin Vinz
s self esteem. Another scene where there is another development of Vinz s identity is the scene where
the trio confronts an off duty cop. Vinz seemingly plays with the cop with the gun in his hand,
suggesting that they should kill the cop. This shows another development in Vinz s masculine identity
as Vinz is was challenged by Hubert that he won t kill a cop and this threatens his identity and

Osi Model And Open Systems Interconnection Model
There are seven layers in the OSI Model, only four in the TCP/IP model. This is because TCP/IP
assumes that applications will take care of everything beyond the Transport layer. The TCP/IP model
also combines the OSI s Physical and Data Link layers together into the Network Access Layer.
Internet Protocol is not concerned about the hardware underneath, as long as the computer can send IP
packets over the connection. I. INTRODUCTION TCP/IP was developed during the 1960s as part of
the Department of Defense s (DoD) Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) effort to build a
nationwide packet data network. It was first used in UNIX based computers in universities and
government installations. Today, it is the main protocol used in all Internet operations. On the other
hand, the Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI Model) is a conceptual model that characterizes
the internal functions of a communication system by separating it into multiple abstract layers. The
model is a product of the Open Systems Interconnection project at the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO). II. OSI MODEL An open system is a set of protocols that allow any two
different systems to communicate regardless of their underlying structure. The purpose of OSI model
is to show how to facilitate communication between different systems without requiring changes to
the logic of the underlying hardware and software. The OSI model isn t a protocol: it is a model for

Communication Bridges the Generational Divide Essay
Introduction
Effective leaders of my age are faced with a few challenges, quite a few actually. One being the
generational divide that currently exists between four different workplace peer groups: Traditionalists,
Baby Boomers, my age group of Generation X, and Millennials. Aside from increased global
diversity, our workforce has mushroomed with generational cultures as well. Young associates of
today are the future leaders of tomorrow, yet there is an obligation to honor the long term commitment
of our older associates. When bridging these distinct generations, the question I raise is: How do we

1) Gen Xers must learn how to take care of themselves. We must push aside our stereotypical lack of
concern and use our coping skills we earned growing up to positively effect change.
2) Self knowledge is the most important tool that good leaders possess. Gen Xers need to be aware of
strong points, and gain insight about shortcomings, then chart a path towards success.
3) Gen X was found to be more team oriented than the Boomers in studies conducted by Karp and
Sirias (Arnold, 1998). Having fun on the job is meaningful to this group; which has created a
leadership style that sets them apart from the older generations.
4) Perhaps the strongest characteristic to highlight is a strong stance on a work/life balance. They are
willing to work hard but don t live to work

The Theme Of Fear In Nadine Gordimer s Once Upon A Time
In literature, the theme of a story is very important because it allows the reader to be able to connect
all parts of the story together and even apply what was learned from it to their real life. Theme is the
unifying generalization about life stated or implied in the story by either the author or by one of the
characters. In Nadine Gordimer s short story, Once Upon a Time we read about a woman who is
frightened by a sound in her house which causes her imagination to spiral into fear. This immense
amount of fear leads to her thinking about the worst possible things than can happen to her at that
moment. Not only does it cause this, but it also makes her start telling herself a bedtime story. The
theme of this short story is that fear can cause overreaction and makes things seem a lot more worse
than they actually are. It shows us how sometimes fear can be our own self destruction. To begin with,
the theme of the story can first be seen when the woman is still in deep conflict with the sound she
hears in the shadows that surround her in her room. For example, the author states, I couldn t find a
position in which my mind would let go of my body release me to my sleep (Gordimer 232). This
clearly demonstrates that fear can have a strong hold over an individual, which can be both mental and
physical. Here we learn that the woman was unable to drift back to sleep because her fear was too
great that it prevented her from being able to rest. This tells us that sometimes

What Is The Mood Of The Poem Valentine By Carol Ann Duffy
The poem, Valentine, by Carol Ann Duffy, is the epitome of how conventional love and events such as
Valentine s Day is pure asinine and downright ludicrous. She illustrates this by utilising a myriad of
literary techniques, such as symbolism, imagery and word choice; in order to reveal the realities of
love. It can be disputed that Duffy allows her readers to fathom the enigmatic feeling known as love
through Valentine. Duffy s coherent use of language features help depict and accentuate this in
Valentine, by enabling her readers to feel a sense of sincerity rather than the cliched ethereal facade
which is masqueraded in sugar, spice, and everything nice.
Throughout the poem, Duffy utilises the use of symbolism to compare love to an onion. This
symbolises, that although love is said to be euphoric, it can also provoke tears. An example of this can
be seen in lines 7 and 8 where Duffy says, It will blind you with tears like a lover. By this, she means
that onions contain a strong chemical in which causes us to cry when we cut them; similar to when we
are crying over ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is especially evident in lines nine and ten where she says It will make your reflection a wobbly
photo of grief. This is implying that onions bring anguish and discomfort whilst being cut which
causes us to cry. Their chemical compound causes tears and when crying, everything we see appears
wobbly. From this example, the author makes the reader visualise a grimaced face of tears and grief
whilst looking at their reflection which appears wobbly. The word photo implies an ephemeral
moment that was captured, the word wobbling allows us to assume that tears were spilt causing their
vision to become hazy, hence leaving behind a wobbling photo of grief. Yet again, Duffy has managed
to make effective use of a language feature in order to change the readers perception of

Harry Potter is in his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After a long boring

students into stone before it is to late and someone dies? I chose to analyze the film Harry Potter and

the book and film forwards and backwards I would be able to focus on the assignment better instead
of trying to learn the plot. I could focus on how the children and adults interact more then who is who.
In this paper I will be analyzing how children develop throughout the film. I will be focusing on how
they interact with adults, what adults think they are incapable/capable of doing and how the children
control their emotions.
In this film children and adults interact differently. It depend on who the adult is, some of the adults
are very understanding like Dumbledore and Hagrid while others like Snape and Mr. Dursley just

written by Moises Kaufman and the members of Tectonic Theater Project. The play is based on the
interviews of the citizens of Laramie about what s happening in Laramie and their responses to the
murder of Matthew. In addition to the various themes suggested by the play, the author wanted to
present the varying perspectives toward homosexuality in the Laramie community at the time of
Matthew s death. The author also wanted to explore how these perspectives may have changed as the
result of Matthew s death. Even though the citizens of Laramie persisted that hate is not a value they

Not all citizens of Laramie conveyed a negative view towards the LGBT community. Marge Murray,
together with some of the citizens, gave a notion of live and let live towards homosexuals. Marge
explains,
As far as the gay issue, I don t give a damn on one way or the other as long as they don t bother me.
And even if they did, I d just say no thank you. And that s the Attitude of most of the Laramie
population. They might poke one if they were in a bar situation, you know, they had been drinking,
they might actually smack one in the mouth, but they d just walk away. Most of em, they would just
say, I don t swing that way and whistle on about their business. Laramie is live and let live. (17)
Marge talked about how the citizens of Laramie practice a philosophy that life goes on. There are
times that they are bothered, and they exchange words and even physically hurt one another; but that s
it, they won t hold a grudge on one another. After such argument or fight, they ll just move on and live
another day. Marge pointed out that they practice the same view toward view about homosexuality;
they neither reject nor accept homosexual people.
There are also some citizens of Laramie that showed acceptance towards homosexuals. Father Roger

When I was in grade school I had teachers that would reward students for good grades and positive
behavior thus making it more likely for us to work hard to do better. I remember receiving candy, a
material reinforcer, recess extensions, an activity reinforcer, and even activity passes, an activity
reinforcer, for doing well. If I proved to know the content well enough, then I was allowed to skip an
activity in class to do something more fun such as a craft or a game instead. Or sometimes, those who
did exceptionally well on a quiz would be allowed to go to lunch early which also meant a longer
recess. These incentives to do well positively reinforced my work ethic so that I was studying more
and working harder to achieve good grades. I noticed as I went through school that my work ethic
strengthened the more positive reinforcement I received. If I began to slip, and my effort level
decreased then I would receive negative reinforcement from my teachers in the form of a bad grade, a
secondary reinforcer. This would then signal me to work harder so that I would not receive the same
low grade as before. The consequences I encountered from both working hard and slacking off shaped
the way I behaved in school. When offered incentives to do well and negative consequences for not
performing as well, I was induced to work hard and get good grades. One particular example of
Operant Conditioning I remember from my early education was when my father promised my class
McDonalds lunch if all of us got 100% on our spelling test. I remember our entire class studying
harder than we had before to achieve a perfect score on our test. We ended up making our goal and
being the highest scoring class all year for spelling tests. My father s positive reinforcement of our
habit to study hard affected my class and for the rest of the year my class had a notably higher work

Forensic Science In The Twentieth Century
Criminal investigators use forensics science to answer the who, what, why, how, when, and where
factors in a crime investigation. It uses scientific methods to describe, infer, and reconstruct events
from the small pieces of evidence found during a proper investigation. Scientists and law enforcement
have used forensics for over 120 years, but especially more in the twentieth century: major countries
like the United States, France, and the United Kingdom have been using forensics as a mean of
identifying criminals either by photography or DNA fingerprinting. Shows, books, and other
popularized fiction emphasize the scientific aspects of an investigation but do not show the real
limitations of court handed down from the U.S Constitution. There have been new discoveries made
and are still being made today for the advancement of the forensic side of a criminal case. ... Show

Essay on Second Character Role in Hamlet by William...
In many stories, the concept of a secondary character role is often overlooked and deemed irreverent.
However, in the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare and the novel Fifth Business by Robertson
Davies, the secondary characters Horatio and Dunstan Ramsay respectively both play a crucial role in
the fulfillment of Fifth Business . According to Davies, Fifth Business are those roles which, being
neither those of Hero nor Heroine, Confidante nor Villain, but which were nonetheless essential to
bring about the Recognition or the denouement (Davies, Preface). Fifth Business represents a person

Hamlet could theoretically soliloquize the whole play, but it is his conversations with Horatio that
truly reveal what the Prince is really thinking and feeling. For example, insight on Hamlet s troubled
nature is first revealed when Horatio says My lord, I came to see your father s funeral (1.2.176) and
Hamlet sarcastically responds with I prithee, do not mock me, fellow student; / I think it was to see my
mother s wedding (1.2.177 78). Such influence on Hamlet proves that Horatio is valuable in the
interpretation of the recognition and denouncement of Hamlet s inner self. Secondly, Horatio has
proven to be the anchor of reason to the plot; his role as Fifth Business is heavily credited to his
intelligence and rational thinking. From the first scene, Horatio is calm and reasonable, as he is not
afraid to confront and reason with the ghost. He demands it to speak if it knows what the future of
Denmark is:
Speak to me, / If there be any good thing to be done / That may to thee do ease, and grace to me, /
Speak to me, / If thou art pricy to thy country s fate, / O, speak! / Or if thou hast uphoarded in thy ice /
Extorted treasure in the womb of earth, / For which, they say, you spirits oft walk in death, / Speak of
it, stay and speak! (1.1.129 39).
Lastly, Horatio, above all, is Hamlet s only true and loyal friend. As part of their close relationship,
Horatio makes it clear when Hamlet

Composer Franz Schubert As A Master Composer Of Songs
Viennese composer Franz Schubert is often regarded as a master composer of songs. He is also known
for creative and unexpected movement between keys in his compositions. Dying at a tragically young
age, Schubert managed to release an enormous body of works, publishing over two hundred songs
while alive. Despite this already impressive output of songs, nothing stopped Schubert from
composing symphonies, chamber music, and solo works as well. Close analysis of his music reveals
how skillfully Schubert was able to set text, move fluidly to foreign keys, and much more. In this
paper, Schubert s vocal piece entitled Erlkönig and his work for solo piano, Moments Musicaux 5 in F
minor, will be explored more deeply The text in Erlkönig begins and ends with a nameless narrator.
He opens, setting the scene, a father rides with his sick child in the night, racing to a nearby farmhouse
to get help for his son. Schubert s repeated octave staccato triplets suggest the hoofbeats of the
important fifth character, the horse, the vehicle of hope and deliverance; the four minutes of his song
convey the urgency of a ride against an indistinct but baleful force (Bamforth). During the ride, the
son recounts his hallucination of the Erlking, the king of the elves, chasing them to his father. The boy
says the Erlking is promising the boy him, games, even his daughters, but his father tries to calm him,

HEDGE FUNDS
To escape income tax returns these are famous as they are not susceptible to high tax rates on ordinary

What is a Foundation?
It can be said as a pool of money with a group of employees to invest that money and also give a part
of the pool to organizations with a set of objectives. Donated money is tax exemplary. To get tax free
status at least 5% of the foundation must be distributed. The returns are taxed only if the returns are

Achieving Goal In Chinua Avi s Nothing But The Truth
Do you know how hard some people work to get toward their goal? Some people don t work at all. If
you have a job, then you know you have to actually do your job in order to get paid. If you don t do
your job, however, you won t get paid, and you will probably get fired. The same goes for if you want
to try out for a team; you have to do your schoolwork. In Nothing But the Truth , Avi uses the
character of Philip to demonstrate how you have to work hard to get to your goal. The first way Philip
demonstrates that you have to work hard to get toward your goal, is when he asks his coach about
trying out for the track team, which ends negatively. In the book, Philip wants to try out for the track
team, but he got a D on his mid term exam in English ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the book, Philip is humming the National Anthem in class during the announcements, when his
teacher, Miss Narwin, kindly asks him to stop. However, he keeps on humming, until eventually, Miss
Narwin tells him to go to the office. The next day had the same outcome. Supposedly, there is a rule at
their school that basically says that you have to stand in respectful silence during the Anthem, but
Philip claims he doesn t know it. So, he spreads a rumor (That eventually goes nation wide) that Miss
Narwin forced him to stop acting patriotic. Philip Malloy: She won t let me sing The Star Spangled
Banner... In school. This morning, I was singing The Star Spangled Banner. The teacher kicked me
out. First off, Philip states that he was singing , not humming, the Star Spangled Banner. That is a lie
right there. But since he keeps saying that was singing it, not humming it, it builds on the rumor and
helps Philip work toward his goal getting Narwin off of his back. Second, when he says, The teacher
kicked me out. , it sounds like she kicked him out right away, and didn t give him another chance. He
twists the wording in favor of him. Philip believed that, by making a partially false rumor, he would
succeed in getting Narwin in trouble. He won, but since Narwin got negativity nation wide,

Analysis Of The Kite Runner And Les Miserabless
Les Miserables is a book filled with Tragedy and the fight between the protagonist, name of the
protagonist, and the world he lives in. The book The Kite Runner talks about the main character and
his father have both done terrible acts which they keep a secret. This secret will only cause pain and
heartbreak later in the story. In the books The Kite Runner and Les Miserables society decides what
and who is civilized and barbaric, what and who is right and wrong. Sometimes society can be wrong
and classify someone as barbaric, but in complete actuality they are more civil than the ones who
judge.
Jean Valjean is a man who people perceive as a monster, who can never be a changed man and who
will always be a criminal. We observe in Les Miserables Jean Valjean only became a criminal for the
sake of feeding his sister s children and was wrongfully imprisoned for 19 long and tortuous years.
Now, with a life that can only be lived in despair, a name which is tainted with his criminal past, and
with a only a few decades left of his life. Jean Valjean is homeless and unemployed. A man named
Monsieur Bienvenu showed Jean Valjean the power of forgiveness and empathy, and a direct effect of
this is the change Jean Valjean goes through. From what society classified as a completely destructive
and barbaric man to one of the uttermost civilized and respected men in France, under the alias
Monsieur Madeleine . As, Monsieur Madeleine he does an innumerable amount good deeds and gave
so much back to the people that begged him to be mayor. ...that the king again appointed him mayor of
the city. He refused again... Les Miserables Pg. 57. If he stayed with the name society had left him
with then, this would have never happened.
Javert is a character in Les Miserables who is all about justice and truth. He always wants to be a man
of justice and purge the world of liars, crooks, thieves, and criminals. Jean Valjean ,in Javert s eyes,
needs to be exposed for the criminal he is and must answer for his crimes. Javert represents societies
want for Jean Valjean to answer for his crimes and their want to put a barbaric man behind bars, even
though Jean Valjean is far from a barbaric man, society thinks/believes otherwise.

The structure and organization of any database is based upon its respective database model. A unique database model is implemented by each database depending upon the logical structure of the data that is being handled by that database. This can be elaborated in the sense that the concept of No SQL does not consider the complete elimination of SQL language, rather it focuses on supporting other SQL like queries. The No SQL Database basically follows a model free approach. The leading advantage of implementing the No SQL database is eliminating all the restrictions of the rigorously followed structured model in the relational database system. In No SQL approach, there are many flexibilities of choosing eligible data structure according to the information or data that has to be handled. Some of the widely followed data models of the No SQL database are key value stores, column family stores, document database, graph database, etc. The fundamental concept behind the development of the key value store data model is to create a data model that ... Several environmental, social, and governance issues, including health and safety among other factors, have contributed to the diverse aspects of sustainability. The complex business reforms brought by the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), including social and governance (ES G) issues remain indistinctive in several disciplines. Some widespread proposals exist over the application of, ES G and EHS management practices and methods. To understand sustainability, it is essential to discover how it has emerged and maintained a business focus. Sustainable Development In 1987, the term sustainable development was introduced in the World Commission on Environment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Policymakers must consider a new development paradigm because it concerns public welfare. Future generations must be taken into account when creating these developments within the paradigm. Not only should the paradigm consider the interdependence of economic, social, and environmental dimensions, but also human needs must be met without compromising the future generation s quality of life. One must observe that sustainability, is conceptually a broader interception of environmental, social, and economic issues. In 1989, William Rees, a professor with a creditable Ph.D. in population ecology, suggested that an agreeable universal definition of the concept sustainable development was precondition to developing acceptable policies and plans to support this concept. During the same year, Swedish doctor named Karl Hendrick Robert, assembled a group of scientists and researchers. Similarly, he believed the term lacked practical sense, thus his mission was to reach a scientifically meaning for it. Subsequently, the research concluded that stainability is the capacity of the human society to continue indefinitely within the cycles of natural environment. In places like Iraq, Syria, Israel, Afghanistan, Yemen, and other countries too numerous to mention, countless lives are lost over religious differences. In America, a Protestant can live happily next door to a Jew, who might live across the street from a Muslim, or a Catholic, or a Sikh, or even a Humanist! This is in no small way attributed to the fact that the US Constitution s First Amendment includes what is known as the establishment clause, which states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, effectively separating affairs of religious institutions from secular, ... Johnson carried out the rest of Kennedy s term, and then ran for reelection in 1964. Johnson, a left leaning Democrat found himself up against Barry Goldwater from the right minded Republican Party. Early on in the 20th century, many of Protestant denominations had adopted progressive, social reformist doctrines, that many people still value to this day. Despite being Protestant, Goldwater s platform took a much more conservative approach. This ended up backfiring on him, however, as many Christian publications stated that they opposed Goldwater s policies. He was further stigmatized by the religious publication The Christian Century as turning his patriotic rhetoric into religious nationalism. To make matters worse for Goldwater, in October of 1964, less than a month before the general election, 725 Episcopalian clergy and laymen from forty one states signed a resolution accusing him of a transparent exploitation of racialism. Richard Nixon, a Republican and ex Vice President at the time, claimed that these allegations were the most vicious in political history. As a result, Lyndon Johnson won the 1964 election in an unprecedented landslide victory, with Barry Goldwater only winning six states: his native Arizona, and five states in the heart of the Bible Belt (Kosmin 1993:174 5). Application Of Computational Geometry On View Application of Computational Geometry on View Planning Name: Pravakar Roy Student ID:4927267 Graduate Student Department of Computer Science University of Minnesota, Twin Cities April 27, 2015 Abstract View planning is a crucial part of building vision system for autonomous robots or critical coverage problems. In computational geometry the problem of covering/guarding a region is known as the art gallery theorem. The version where static guards are re placed by mobile guards is known as the watchman route theorem. Both these classic theorem adopts the straight line notion of visibility which is impractical for real world sensors. In this work we review the existing techniques for solving the classical ver sion of these problems and also discuss the modi cations needed to handle real world sensors. We also discuss some recent methods that takes physical visibility constraints into account. 1 Introduction Producing autonomous robots that can operate without any sort of human intervention is one of the ultimate goals in robotics [42]. Such robots should be capable of exploring their environment, interpret the surroundings and act accordingly. Vision is clearly one of the most critical capability such a robot must have to act autonomously. • 23. The Theme Of Fear In Nadine Gordimer s Once Upon A Time In literature, the theme of a story is very important because it allows the reader to be able to connect all parts of the story together and even apply what was learned from it to their real life. Theme is the unifying generalization about life stated or implied in the story by either the author or by one of the characters. In Nadine Gordimer s short story, Once Upon a Time we read about a woman who is frightened by a sound in her house which causes her imagination to spiral into fear. This immense amount of fear leads to her thinking about the worst possible things than can happen to her at that moment. Not only does it cause this, but it also makes her start telling herself a bedtime story. The theme of this short story is that fear can cause overreaction and makes things seem a lot more worse than they actually are. It shows us how sometimes fear can be our own self destruction. To begin with, the theme of the story can first be seen when the woman is still in deep conflict with the sound she hears in the shadows that surround her in her room. For example, the author states, I couldn t find a position in which my mind would let go of my body release me to my sleep (Gordimer 232). This clearly demonstrates that fear can have a strong hold over an individual, which can be both mental and physical. Here we learn that the woman was unable to drift back to sleep because her fear was too great that it prevented her from being able to rest. This tells us that sometimes ... When I was in grade school I had teachers that would reward students for good grades and positive behavior thus making it more likely for us to work hard to do better. I remember receiving candy, a material reinforcer, recess extensions, an activity reinforcer, and even activity passes, an activity reinforcer, for doing well. If I proved to know the content well enough, then I was allowed to skip an activity in class to do something more fun such as a craft or a game instead. Or sometimes, those who did exceptionally well on a quiz would be allowed to go to lunch early which also meant a longer recess. These incentives to do well positively reinforced my work ethic so that I was studying more and working harder to achieve good grades. I noticed as I went through school that my work ethic strengthened the more positive reinforcement I received. If I began to slip, and my effort level decreased then I would receive negative reinforcement from my teachers in the form of a bad grade, a secondary reinforcer. This would then signal me to work harder so that I would not receive the same low grade as before. The consequences I encountered from both working hard and slacking off shaped the way I behaved in school. When offered incentives to do well and negative consequences for not performing as well, I was induced to work hard and get good grades. One particular example of Operant Conditioning I remember from my early education was when my father promised my class McDonalds lunch if all of us got 100% on our spelling test. I remember our entire class studying harder than we had before to achieve a perfect score on our test. We ended up making our goal and being the highest scoring class all year for spelling tests. Dying at a tragically young age, Schubert managed to release an enormous body of works, publishing over two hundred songs while alive. Despite this already impressive output of songs, nothing stopped Schubert from composing symphonies, chamber music, and solo works as well. Close analysis of his music reveals how skillfully Schubert was able to set text, move fluidly to foreign keys, and much more.
