Should Clowns Be Allowed To Wear On Halloween
Clowns costumes shouldn t be allowed to wear on Halloween, especially with all the rumors and scare
tactics that are going on today about them. Clowns are supposed to be someone who participates in the
circus and wears funny makeup and try to make people laugh. The more you look at their creepy
grinning faces, the more it twists into something more evil. In recent years, films such as Stephen
King s It have highlighted those fears, and the killer clown craze currently sweeping the UK hasn t
helped. (Goldhill, 1) Before the movie It came out people weren t as spooked out about clowns as they
are now. Clowns can come off as happy as they want, yet regardless it attempts to hide their true
feelings.
Kids are scared of clowns because they are creepy, and portray a confusing image. On Halloween a lot
of kids will be out trying to have fun and collect candy, if clown are out there scaring kids and setting
a bad image that will most likely run the kids off. You have to worry about their parents getting
involved to make sure they re kids are not in danger. Clowns can display being nice and can end up
being the bad guy all along. For instance, they have nice clowns, mean ... Show more content on

Comparison Between Cats And Dogs
Cats and dogs are considered to be the top pets in the world. Cats and dogs are both furry, four legged
animals that can make good pets. Cats and dogs like to be played with and are affectionate animals.
They both require shots and frequent visits to the vet when needed. Although both animals can add
more love to a family they are both very different animals. Some people are considered cat people
while others are dog people. When choosing which pet is best there are many things to consider.
The main difference between cats and dogs is their history and background. Before dogs became pets,
they hunted in packs which means dogs now love company. Cats are considered more of as loners and
love to spend time alone. Dogs are known to be as one of the smartest pets because they are capable of
understanding humans and their commands. On the other hand, cats aren t as social as dogs, it s harder
to get them to interact with their owners. Dogs are more likely to be obedient and ready to be trained,
dogs are so smart you can teach them tricks such as to shake your hand, play frisbee, or even to stand
on their hind legs. Cats want no part in learning anything taught by a human for example: Dogs will
come when called whereas cats will stare because they do not want to respond to directives.. Dogs are
also social and enjoy interacting with people, they can also become very loyal to their owners but cats
enjoy being alone and would rather lay around than learn to do anything. Dogs are

Analysis Of Bellezza And The Non-Verbal Realm In Social...
Bellezza and the Non Verbal Realm in Social Interaction
Social interactions influence our relationships and how people view one another. An interaction can be
verbal or non verbal, but still can connect or separate two people. Three articles discuss different
forms of social interactions and how they affect varied types of relationships.
Wicklund, and Vida Grim (2004) describe the role of bellezza in interpersonal relationships. Bellezza
is known as the objects that are pleasing to the senses. These objects refer to the visual, acoustical,
olfactory and tactile aspects of people. Bellezza differs between each person, but generally follows a
few prerequisites, including the absence of pressing drives, cultural understanding, and input from
sensory dimensions. The absence of pressing drives includes an open mind free of anxiety, fear, and
other strong drives, while cultural understanding refers to the education needed to understand there are
different customs for each culture. Lastly, although the input of several sensory dimensions is ideal for
bellezza, it is not necessary to need all sensory dimensions at the same time. Finally, bellezza can be
broken down into short term and long term preparations. It is necessary to have short term contact
such as eye contact, an appropriate distance apart, and good posture to be open to creating bellezza for
another person. In order to maintain bellezza in the long term, an individual must first develop a
solidarity of esthetic impressions, then agree to meet again in the future.
Bertacco and Deponte (2005) analyzed the communicative experience by comparing letter writing to
emails. Through two experiments, students were asked to write either a letter or email to a long lost
friend. It was hypothesized that participants who wrote an email would be more concise in their
writing, with less references to shared knowledge at the implicit and explicit level in experiment 1.
Thus, perspective taking was measured by the number of a participant s references to memories with
their long lost friend. This was recorded after the letter was finished, where participants were asked to
record as many memories as they could in two minutes. Results from experiment one show that email

Title
Augmented reality and wearable devices will be implemented to monitor and give quick feedback on
daily life, especially tied to personal health.
Augmented reality is a descriptive used to explain the ways in which information layers added by
networked devices can inform people in ways that were not possible before the wireless Internet (Pew
Research Center).
Summary The paper describes the many different ways augmental reality is contributing to the new
era of technology. You will find the many different uses for augmented reality in healthcare such as
practical surgeon operations and tracking activity. These technologies can advance the way students
and surgeons can practice life threatening surgeries or operations, with the aid of a wearable device
that can act as an expert assistance. Tracking and monitoring health now doesn t require a trip to the
doctor. Now many of the basic data can be track by simply wearing a device on your wrist. This data
can be very crucial to knowing your lifestyle and can help you build a healthy habit. Along with
healthcare you will also be introduced to a new way communications are presented. Students are now
being introduced to many of the new technology that allows them to interact with the learning material
instead of the plain printed textbook. Researchers are finding that the interactions are dramatically

Grand Canyon University Student Analysis
A true scholar is one who is able to extract from a learning experience, a holistic and well rounded
interpretation and a world view. Enrollment at GCU, presents the student with an opportunity to
pursue that ideal. With the embodiment of the four pillars offered; academic advancement, Christian
camaraderie, extracurricular excellence and wellness and well being , (Grand Canyon University,
n.d.), one is given the best opportunity to become an even more well rounded individual. This is what
makes the difference by comparison to a non faith based university; a belief and a system that operates
on the premise that a quality education coexists with faith in the 21st century (Grand Canyon
University, n.d.). Here, there is a focus on delving

Essay On Treasure Fleets
My favorite scholarly pursuit to date is in a category of its own, combining most of the examples in
the given prompt. It began roughly three years ago when I first read about the Spanish treasure fleets
of the early 1700s in one of my history books. The subject was just barely brushed upon, but it was
enough to spark my curiosity on the topic and I decided to look up more information. After reading
several books and individual articles, I focused my intended research on a single fleet: the 1715
treasure fleet. Consisting of eleven ships, the 1715 fleet had been laden with gold, fine china, and
other valuables. Spain was in desperate need of funds due to the War of Succession, so the large
treasure fleet was not an uncommon sight. In what could be considered an either brave or
spectacularly stupid move, the commander decided to remain in Havana, Cuba, ... Show more content

After even more digging, I also found a possible link to the infamous pirate Samuel Bellamy, who had
attempted to find the San Miguel not long before his turn to piracy. I believe even now that the ship
may have sunk somewhere east of Amelia Island off the coast of Florida. A current expedition,
however, is still searching the Nassau Sound. I cannot put enough emphasis on just how much this
pursuit sharpened my research skills and expanded my interest in both the environment and history.
One bit of information led to another, and I learned more from this research than I probably would
have in a normal high school classroom setting. Many of the things I learned will actually apply
directly to my major in environmental science as well, which makes all of that research even more
valuable to me. The fact that I had a lot of fun in the process just makes it even

Psychology is the Scientific Study of Mental and...
INTRODUCTION Psychology is the scientific study of mental and behavior processes. It s thus seeks
to describe, explain, predict, and control the processes involved in areas such as perception, learning,
emotion, and personality. All these topics are the province of the branch of social psychology. Social
psychologists study the nature and causes of our behavior and mental processes in social institution
(Baron Byrne, 1991). As a human being definitely we have a disparity experiences in our daily life,
actually it s the process which help us to reconstruct our behavior and adapt our self with the social
environment. Regarding to understanding the social psychology the topic that will discuss more
specifics in this paper include attitudes, social perception, and social influences. In subject of social
psychology I learned about the field of psychology that studies the nature and causes of individual
thoughts, feelings, and overt behavior in social situations. Theory is crucial as a framework to see how

Humanity Of Animal Experimentation
Abraham Lincoln once said, I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of
a whole human being. Why is this ideal not more recognized? The usage of these animals in scientific
and cosmetic experiments has been traced as early as 500 BC, and it s still unsettling. Using animals
like this is inhumane and has the potential to harm the animals. Also, experimentation on these
animals doesn t necessarily benefit people and can be unsafe to them.
As to the inhumanity and unsafety of these experiments for animals, the US Department of
Agriculture (USDA) reported that throughout the year of 2010, 97,123 animals sustained injuries
during the experiment and were given no form of pain reliever. These animals are exposed to force
feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, the
infliction of burns and other wounds to study the healing process... This causes more than 100 million
animals to die each year from experimentation. (http://www.peta.org/issues/animals used for
experimentation/animals used experimentation factsheets/animal experiments overview/ ) Is it not
human nature to show humanity? If it is, then we, as a species, are not doing well at showing it due to

Sigmund Freud Theories
Sigmund Freud s Theories in Relation to Brave New World
One might imagine, what could truly constitute A brave new world? What parameters must that world
fall within? What decisive mind is manning the ship headed toward this utopia? Certainly, this world
has seen innumerous attempts, heard the many strident voices, which barreled forth and propelled
society toward that image. One of those voices belonged to Sigmund Freud, the father of
psychoanalysis, and even, perhaps, a deity of this brave new world.
Sigmund Freud was born May 6th, 1856, in Frieberg, Moravia to a textile dealer named Jacob Freud
(Chiriac, Jean, Sigmund Freud s Childhood ). He was one of eight children, five sisters and three
brothers. The family lived in Frieberg until Sigmund was four years old, when the family then moved
to Vienna where Sigmund would remain for the vast majority of his life. By 1873, Freud would go on
to study medicine at the University of Vienna. Freud went get engaged in 1882, to a women who
would bear him six children. The relationship has been largely considered and happy, prosperous
union (Thornton, Stephan).
In 1938, shortly after the Annexation of Austria, Freud s home in Vienna was raided by Nazis. Any of
Freud s works written before May of 1933 were burned for their flippant destigmatization of sexuality
( Sigmund Freud and the Holocaust ). With a minimal understanding of the who and the why of
Sigmund Freud, one can move in to comprehending the true girth of his discovery

main character, Santana, is a Chicano from East Los Angeles (L.A.), who at an early age was

La Eme. Within the belly of the U.S. penal system the young Santana learns that respect is gained

experience earning respect . The punishment of an extended sentence was of little consequence
compared to the respect young Santa earned from this act of violence. Santana has resolved that he
found the answer (Olmos, 1992). He is conditioned at an early age that violence in the guise of respect
is an approved response to opposition or assault. Respect ensures insulation from acts of violence
from others, garners familial relationships, and provides opportunity to gain power and wealth. As
Santana matures and La Eme grows in power, so too do the acts of violence necessary to maintain the
respect of rival gangs and the members of his own gang. Weakness or an action that could be

Spiders In The World Research Paper
What about all the spiders in the world?
There s a well known factoid that claims you re always within a few feet of a spider. Is this true?
Arachnologist[3] [4] Chris Buddle wrote a good article on this question; as you might expect, it s not
literally true. Spiders don t live in the water,[5] so you can get away from them by swimming, and
there aren t as many spiders in buildings as in fields and forests. But if you re anywhere near the
outdoors, even in the Arctic tundra, there are probably spiders within a few feet of you.
Regardless of whether the factoid is precisely true or not, there are an awful lot of spiders out there.
Exactly how many is hard to say, but we can do some rough estimation. A 2009 study actually
measured the total mass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Spider distributions are discrete, not continuous,[9] and some areas have more spiders than others.
What if there happen to be a lot of spiders near you?
Although three spider feet is only 9 inches.
In 2009, the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant found themselves dealing with what they called
an extreme spider situation. An estimated 80 million orb weaving spiders had colonized the plant,
covering every surface with heavy sheets of web.[10] The whole thing is detailed in a fascinating and
horrifying article published by the Entomological Society of America.[12]
What was the total force of gravity from all those spiders? First we need their mass; according to a
paper titled Sexual Cannibalism in Orb Weaving Spiders: An Economic Model, it s about 20 grams for
males and several times that for females.[11] So even if you were standing next to the Black River
Wastewater Treatment Plant in 2009, the pull of all the spiders inside would still be only
1/50,000,000th that of the Sun.
No matter which way you look at it, the bottom line is that we live our lives surrounded by tiny
spiders on a world completely dominated by a gigantic star.

Minors and the Death Penalty
A. Should the death penalty be given to minors? The two groups against this issue, are the religious
and medical groups. They believe they are too young to know what they have done. The medical
groups believe adolescents are less developed than adults and should not be held to the same
standards. . The opposing side, held mostly by state officials, feel if they are old enough to commit the
crime they, old enough to get the punishment, including death.
B. The very first execution of a minor was in1642 with Thomas Graunger in Plymouth Colony,
Massachesetts. In the three hundred years since that time, a total of approximately 365 persons have
been executed for juvenile crimes, constituting 1.8 percent of roughly twenty thousand ... Show more

acknowledged age as a mitigating factor in death sentencing, but, in an opinion written by Justice
Antonin Scalia, said the national climate didn t rule out the death penalty simply because of the age of
the offender.
G. The Kantian view of death penalty is a retributive view that sees the criminal as a parasite who has
accepted the benefits of a legal system while refusing to pay the price of self restraint. Such a person
owes the law abiding a debt for he has gained an unfair advantage over them. Punishment is the means
of exacting the debt (in kind) and is a demand for justice the restoration of a condition of equality
between the law breaker and society. Just punishment is binding and not to be mitigated by any
utilitarian consideration. Kant also believes in blood guilt and the necessity for cleansing criminal
actions.
H. This issue is pretty touchy to me, because i could support both side of minor being put to death. I
agree with if they do the crime, they can do the time, but at the same time they are just little kids and
they do not know better. The way I see how this situation can change is that instead of holding the
child responsible for the crime hold the parents in contempt. The reason I say

Garrison s initiation into journalism began when he was apprenticed to Ephraim W. Allen, the editor
of the Newburyport Herald, at the age of 13. Garrison served as an apprentice to Allen for seven years,
and his time with the Herald led Garrison to publish his own newspaper, the Newburyport Free Press.
Despite the failure of the Newburyport Free Press two years later in 1826, Garrison continued his

Philanthropist was William s first foray into reform, and the newspaper advocated for the temperance

Evaluating Paley s Design Argument
Ultimately, Paley s argument uses an inductive argument to suggest that all things with properties of
intelligence and complexity must have an intelligent designer who designs them for a specific
purpose. When evaluating Paley s design argument, it is evident that it has its flaws. From the
inductive argument presented, objections can be made in the first premise by claiming that not all
processes have a clear purpose. For instance, when natural disasters such as earthquakes and tornadoes
occur, what purpose do they serve exactly, and why would God s work include such disaster? In fact,
that leads us to ask why the universe would be designed with such imperfections? It is these types of
questions that David Hume utilizes to undermine the design ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The dilemma theists are presented with is that if the world has imperfections due to the evil that exists,
which serves no clear purpose, then God, the designer of the world, therefore must be imperfect. But
this is not the image that is to be perceived of God if he were to exist. Instead, God, in the human
mind, would only exist if he was a perfect being. Without the characteristic of a perfect being, one is
able to claim that God does not exist as the designer of the world. However, the main criticism that
Hume proposes is to not claim that it is impossible for God not to exist as a perfect being but rather
our lack of experience in the creation of the world cannot allow us to claim that God is perfect.
Because the design argument is an empirical argument for the existence of God, our experiences with
the world, including those that involve evil, cannot allow us to possibly ignore the fact that God may
not be a perfect being. If this this case, then God s image

What Is The Theme Of The Lion King Movie
When it comes to movies, I can be a hard person to please. I like dramas, comedies, and romantic
movies. There s one movie that I love so much, I watched this movie countless times when I was
younger and still watch it today, and can recite the entire script for memory. It includes all these
different themes and more. The Lion King, a 1994 G rated Disney American animated music film.
This movie demonstrates family, friends, betrayal, rejection, running from responsibility, values, and
growing strong through adversity.
The movie starts with a sunrise of African grasslands. As dawn breaks, all the animals of the Pride
Lands are gathering to go to Pride Rock, the home of the pride of lions. Mufasa (James Earl Jones) is
waiting on Pride Rock. Zazu (Rowan Atkinson) flies over all the animals and meets Mufasa on Pride
Rock where he bows to him. Rafiki (Robert Guillaume) the mandrill passes between ranks of animals,
who bows to him; he then climbs Pride Rock to where Mufasa is standing. Rafiki and Mufasa then
embrace each other with a hug. Mufasa then takes Rafiki ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Is the concept of MANAGEMENT different or what is exactly the reason that some organizations
have great success while others suffering many types of failures?

It is controversy issue and a subject for discussion. The concept of Management is wider subject but
we are going to focus on two notable aspects, which have the most obvious part of the diversities in
management. These two are aspects are
1 The power of Management that Managers are having due to their positions in an organization
hierarchy

No one can dine that the western countries have had already an advance Knowledge about
Management. Many books and articles since a long time ago demonstrated that by showing the range

Boston Tea Party During The American Revolution
Boston tea party During the American Revolution
The Boston Tea Party refers to the political protest initiated by the Sons of Liberty on 16th December,
1773 in Boston (Savelle Labaree, 1966). The protestors, disguised often as American Indians, dumped
the entire tea shipment into the Boston Harbor sent by East India Company into the water. This protest
was in reaction and showing the noncooperation towards the Tea Act enacted on 10th May, 1773. In
reaction to this event, the British government showed a harsh response and this escalated the
American Revolution. The Boston Tea Party has become an iconic episode of the American history,
and some other political and governmental protests for instance the Tea Party movements after 2010
overtly refer to the event.
Throughout out the British America, Colonists protested against the Tea Act, and the reason for their
objection was grounded on the belief that such act violated the rights of Englishmen as they believed
on No taxation without representation, which meant that they could only be taxed by their own
nominated representatives rather than the British parliament (Carp, 2012). Protesters had effectively
prevented the taxed tea unloading in other three colonies. However in Boston, Thomas Hutchinson the
royal governor refused the return of tea shipment to the Britain.
The Boston Tea Party has significant impact on the history of American Revolution. In 1774,
Parliament responded with the Intolerable Acts or Coercive Acts,

Raising A Child Discipline
Not a single parent will ever say raising a child is easy. In fact, raising a child is, indeed, difficult. It
costs money, and a great deal of emotional, psychological and physical energy; just to name a few.
Most importantly, parenting never seems to happen as many parents have imagined or wished.
However, the intention of this paper is not to greaten the sufferings of the parents by provoking their
frustrations. It is rather to provide an insight or an option to make parenting less painful and more
enjoyable as it should have been in the first place. Out of many adjustments a parent can make for the
betterment of his/her child and their relationship, one major component is discipline. There are already
many cases of failures of either over discipling or under discipling a child. However, with a well
balanced and prepared methods of disciplining, one s child can maximize to his/her potential.
One of the most significant element of discipline is the consistency of rules. Parents should clearly
elaborate on what the rules are and both the positive and negative consequences following certain
actions. Statistics show that children whose parents are strict with rules are less likely to be
noncompliant and to become a juvenile delinquent compared to children raised by parents with a lack
of consistent rules. Studies further indicate that children s self esteem and send of self efficacy directly
correlate with their family s control in their lives. Such positive influence on the

Proof Of God Research Paper
Who is God? Though there are many religions throughout the world and many gods are
worshipped, but evidence points to one divine designer, a perfect God. God not only created all things
that are in existence today, but He also sustains them. God existed before anything was created, but He
realized the world needed something in it so He created man. Before anything God knew all that was
going to happen, since He is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. God is a part of the trinity. His
creativeness, power, intelligence, holiness, infinite nature, wisdom, are uncomprehend able by man
because man is limited in a finite, sinful, weak human body. As creator, God is the father of mankind.

From before time as we know it began, He provided a way for man to be saved from the punishment
deserved for sin. He knows everything that happens in the past, present, and future, and desires the

chose to send His Son, Jesus, to die in order to be that perfect sacrifice as the payment for the sin
because He loves His creation. God lives in each person who believes in the sacrifice of His son. This
is God the Holy Spirit. If a person is saved, his life will have fruit of the spirit. These are qualities that
show God lives in him. (Galatians 5:22 NIV). Once a person receives Christ as Savior and the Holy
comes to live in him, he will never lose his salvation. God is the eternal hope for those who believe in

The Statements And Actions Of Prophet
INTRO
The statements and actions of Prophet are recorded in a set of literary texts that modern Muslim call
the Hadith. The original term for the customs of the Prophet was Sunnat Al Nabi , which is an exact
translation of customs of the Prophet in the native tongue of the Prophet s time, which was Arabic
(textbook). While the entire genre of Islamic literature that surrounds the Prophet Muhammad is called
Sunnat Al Nabi, the individual reports that outline the personal and private life of the Prophet are
called Hadith. The Hadith is an official collection of the sayings and actions of the last and final
Prophet of Islam throughout the 22 years of his prophetic ministry (Dustin). The Hadith is arguably
one of the most important practical text for modern Muslims, as the many books on Hadith outline the
life of the man that Muslims around the world have been told to emulate. Muslims have been
instructed to practice the behaviour of the Prophet as his behaviour is considered a guideline on the
perfect way for a Muslim to live. The Hadith outlines all relationships between a Muslim and God, as
well as discussing how relationships between humans should be conducted. The Hadith outlines every
affair possible, and how the Prophet acted in this affair, and Muslims should aspire to model this way
of life (Encyclopedia J). Therefore, the Hadith can be considered one of the most important literary
texts on the planet, because it guides a religion of nearly 1.6 billion people. The

Charlemagne and the Carolingian Renaissance
The Carolingian Empire was not at full fruition when Charlemagne rose to power, it was quite the
contrary. In the eighth century, the lands covered by what is now known as France and Belgium, as
well as part of Germany made up the Frankish state ruled by the kings of the Merovingian line. The
Merovingian empire was weak and in a steady decline; the majority of people in Western Europe were
illiterate, the economy was facing quite the major decline and the Merovingian kings became Do
Nothing Kings (Rois fainéants) after the death of Dagobert 639 AD. This is when the Carolingians

Peter the Apostle of Rome. He also created a dialog with the academic world, making his court a
learning hub which could not have been done without the revival of Latin by the educated elite in such
an orally cultured empire. This language renewal luckily occurred because of mistakes made by the
monks of Fulda, so he forced reform by making the writings of church fathers mandatory readings, as
well as the study of grammar to increase literacy among scribes, and even commoners. Charlemagne s
thirst for knowledge pushed educational boundaries. This is seen in the learning of language and
rhetoric via knowledge before action that was taught with the help of the Liberal Arts. He organized
and centralized cultural activities and a specific curriculum to be taught at the local schools, with
many provided resources to do so. He firmly believed that the teaching of Liberal Arts to the children
(and even adults) was the duty of a ruler in order to create an educated empire able to flourish and
truly understand the world with spiritual enlightenment. In addition to these educational reforms,
Charlemagne introduced political ones. It is important to note that Charlemagne ruled a monarchical
empire with the help of the aristocracy (which included relatives and friends) in order to contain
power. Therefore, the Frankish Empire depended on him because he was the Minister Dei (a servant of
god) for institutions, such as

Anarchist political advocacy has been a driving force in punk music since its emergence in the 1970s.
Although the basic philosophy has remained unchanged, punks have significantly altered the ways
they espouse their beliefs, over time becoming more militant and directly confrontational with those
that hold power. This paper attempts use quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine how
significantly anarcho punk political advocacy has changed between the early 1980s and present day.

The, Virtue, By Socrates And Meno
In this paper, I try to discuss the sixth chapter in the book which focuses on the definition of virtue.
This passage mainly goes through dialogues between Socrates and Meno, who debated with each
other in order to make a certain definition of virtue. In the passage, Socrates gave his opinion of virtue
and tried to make Meno understand his ideas, while Meno held his opinion. In fact, virtue is rather
difficult to be defined. Even though both Socrates and Meno had contemplated what virtue, it is still
hard to give a definition of it. Also, trying to make a certain definition of virtue is also the broad aim
of the whole book Plato s Meno. This book was written by Plato, which is filled with Socrates
dialogues. It aims to make sure the essence of virtue. From this portion in the book, I can see that the
aim of this passage could make a difference in helping reach the entire aim of the book. In this paper, I
prepared to explain the content of the passage as well as some important concepts. What s more, I aim
to mark out the difficult and important ideas, thoughts I have gained in the process of reading. At the
same time, I will also cite my personal experiences in order to support the ideas in the passage.
At first, I will talk about the contents of this passage. This passage is concerning what virtue is. The
argument is whether virtue could be learned by or gift by God. Socrates believed that virtue was gift
by God and it was hard to cite a universal definition of virtue.

Clowns are supposed to be someone who participates in the circus and wears funny makeup and try to make people laugh. The more you look at their creepy grinning faces, the more it twists into something more evil. • 3. Comparison Between Cats And Dogs Cats and dogs are considered to be the top pets in the world. Cats and dogs are both furry, four legged animals that can make good pets. Cats and dogs like to be played with and are affectionate animals. They both require shots and frequent visits to the vet when needed. Although both animals can add more love to a family they are both very different animals. Some people are considered cat people while others are dog people. When choosing which pet is best there are many things to consider. The main difference between cats and dogs is their history and background. Before dogs became pets, they hunted in packs which means dogs now love company. Cats are considered more of as loners and love to spend time alone. Dogs are known to be as one of the smartest pets because they are capable of understanding humans and their commands. On the other hand, cats aren t as social as dogs, it s harder to get them to interact with their owners. Dogs are more likely to be obedient and ready to be trained, dogs are so smart you can teach them tricks such as to shake your hand, play frisbee, or even to stand on their hind legs. Cats want no part in learning anything taught by a human for example: Dogs will come when called whereas cats will stare because they do not want to respond to directives.. Dogs are also social and enjoy interacting with people, they can also become very loyal to their owners but cats enjoy being alone and would rather lay around than learn to do anything. Dogs are ... • 4. Analysis Of Bellezza And The Non-Verbal Realm In Social... Bellezza and the Non Verbal Realm in Social Interaction Social interactions influence our relationships and how people view one another. An interaction can be verbal or non verbal, but still can connect or separate two people. Three articles discuss different forms of social interactions and how they affect varied types of relationships. Wicklund, and Vida Grim (2004) describe the role of bellezza in interpersonal relationships. Bellezza is known as the objects that are pleasing to the senses. These objects refer to the visual, acoustical, olfactory and tactile aspects of people. Bellezza differs between each person, but generally follows a few prerequisites, including the absence of pressing drives, cultural understanding, and input from sensory dimensions. The absence of pressing drives includes an open mind free of anxiety, fear, and other strong drives, while cultural understanding refers to the education needed to understand there are different customs for each culture. Lastly, although the input of several sensory dimensions is ideal for bellezza, it is not necessary to need all sensory dimensions at the same time. Finally, bellezza can be broken down into short term and long term preparations. It is necessary to have short term contact such as eye contact, an appropriate distance apart, and good posture to be open to creating bellezza for another person. In order to maintain bellezza in the long term, an individual must first develop a solidarity of esthetic impressions, then agree to meet again in the future. Bertacco and Deponte (2005) analyzed the communicative experience by comparing letter writing to emails. Through two experiments, students were asked to write either a letter or email to a long lost friend. It was hypothesized that participants who wrote an email would be more concise in their writing, with less references to shared knowledge at the implicit and explicit level in experiment 1. Thus, perspective taking was measured by the number of a participant s references to memories with their long lost friend. This was recorded after the letter was finished, where participants were asked to record as many memories as they could in two minutes. Results from experiment one show that email ... • 9. Essay On Treasure Fleets My favorite scholarly pursuit to date is in a category of its own, combining most of the examples in the given prompt. It began roughly three years ago when I first read about the Spanish treasure fleets of the early 1700s in one of my history books. The subject was just barely brushed upon, but it was enough to spark my curiosity on the topic and I decided to look up more information. After reading several books and individual articles, I focused my intended research on a single fleet: the 1715 treasure fleet. Consisting of eleven ships, the 1715 fleet had been laden with gold, fine china, and other valuables. Spain was in desperate need of funds due to the War of Succession, so the large treasure fleet was not an uncommon sight. In what could be considered an either brave or spectacularly stupid move, the commander decided to remain in Havana, Cuba, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I cannot put enough emphasis on just how much this pursuit sharpened my research skills and expanded my interest in both the environment and history. One bit of information led to another, and I learned more from this research than I probably would have in a normal high school classroom setting. Many of the things I learned will actually apply directly to my major in environmental science as well, which makes all of that research even more valuable to me. • 11. Humanity Of Animal Experimentation Abraham Lincoln once said, I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being. Why is this ideal not more recognized? The usage of these animals in scientific and cosmetic experiments has been traced as early as 500 BC, and it s still unsettling. Using animals like this is inhumane and has the potential to harm the animals. Also, experimentation on these animals doesn t necessarily benefit people and can be unsafe to them. As to the inhumanity and unsafety of these experiments for animals, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that throughout the year of 2010, 97,123 animals sustained injuries during the experiment and were given no form of pain reliever. These animals are exposed to force feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, the infliction of burns and other wounds to study the healing process... What decisive mind is manning the ship headed toward this utopia? Certainly, this world has seen innumerous attempts, heard the many strident voices, which barreled forth and propelled society toward that image. One of those voices belonged to Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, and even, perhaps, a deity of this brave new world. Sigmund Freud was born May 6th, 1856, in Frieberg, Moravia to a textile dealer named Jacob Freud (Chiriac, Jean, Sigmund Freud s Childhood ). He was one of eight children, five sisters and three brothers. Santana has resolved that he found the answer (Olmos, 1992). He is conditioned at an early age that violence in the guise of respect is an approved response to opposition or assault. Respect ensures insulation from acts of violence from others, garners familial relationships, and provides opportunity to gain power and wealth. Arachnologist[3] [4] Chris Buddle wrote a good article on this question; as you might expect, it s not literally true. Spiders don t live in the water,[5] so you can get away from them by swimming, and there aren t as many spiders in buildings as in fields and forests. But if you re anywhere near the outdoors, even in the Arctic tundra, there are probably spiders within a few feet of you. Such a person owes the law abiding a debt for he has gained an unfair advantage over them. Punishment is the means of exacting the debt (in kind) and is a demand for justice the restoration of a condition of equality between the law breaker and society. Just punishment is binding and not to be mitigated by any utilitarian consideration. Kant also believes in blood guilt and the necessity for cleansing criminal actions. H. Evaluating Paley s Design Argument Ultimately, Paley s argument uses an inductive argument to suggest that all things with properties of intelligence and complexity must have an intelligent designer who designs them for a specific purpose. When evaluating Paley s design argument, it is evident that it has its flaws. From the inductive argument presented, objections can be made in the first premise by claiming that not all processes have a clear purpose. For instance, when natural disasters such as earthquakes and tornadoes occur, what purpose do they serve exactly, and why would God s work include such disaster? In fact, that leads us to ask why the universe would be designed with such imperfections? It is these types of questions that David Hume utilizes to undermine the design ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The dilemma theists are presented with is that if the world has imperfections due to the evil that exists, which serves no clear purpose, then God, the designer of the world, therefore must be imperfect. But this is not the image that is to be perceived of God if he were to exist. Instead, God, in the human mind, would only exist if he was a perfect being. Without the characteristic of a perfect being, one is able to claim that God does not exist as the designer of the world. However, the main criticism that Hume proposes is to not claim that it is impossible for God not to exist as a perfect being but rather our lack of experience in the creation of the world cannot allow us to claim that God is perfect. Because the design argument is an empirical argument for the existence of God, our experiences with the world, including those that involve evil, cannot allow us to possibly ignore the fact that God may not be a perfect being. The Hadith outlines all relationships between a Muslim and God, as well as discussing how relationships between humans should be conducted. The Hadith outlines every affair possible, and how the Prophet acted in this affair, and Muslims should aspire to model this way of life (Encyclopedia J). This language renewal luckily occurred because of mistakes made by the monks of Fulda, so he forced reform by making the writings of church fathers mandatory readings, as well as the study of grammar to increase literacy among scribes, and even commoners. Charlemagne s thirst for knowledge pushed educational boundaries. This is seen in the learning of language and rhetoric via knowledge before action that was taught with the help of the Liberal Arts. He organized and centralized cultural activities and a specific curriculum to be taught at the local schools, with many provided resources to do so. He firmly believed that the teaching of Liberal Arts to the children (and even adults) was the duty of a ruler in order to create an educated empire able to flourish and truly understand the world with spiritual enlightenment. In addition to these educational reforms, Charlemagne introduced political ones. It is important to note that Charlemagne ruled a monarchical empire with the help of the aristocracy (which included relatives and friends) in order to contain power.
