bce until 30 bce, when the Roman Empire took control of the province. Unlike other ancient
societies, however, where art would evolve and chance with new influences, the art of Ancient
Egypt tends to look extremely similar for the entirety of those 300 years. The classical Egyptian
style of art begins in the first dynasty, which is often considered to be ruled under King Narmer.
The Narmer Palette (Fig. 1) is one of the most influential pieces of ancient Egyptian art for this
very reason, as it portrays the joining of Upper and Lower Egypt into one solid empire that
would continue to thrive for years to come at the fault of King Narmer. Unlike the art of
prehistoric Egypt, dynastic art tends to focus on kingship and portraying the king as the sole
ruler and most important figure in the civilization. Because of the powerful themes on both sides

The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien is a fictional book consisting of different stories from
Vietnam war. Tim O Brien was trying to convey the real perspectives of the war to his readers by
telling facts and stories through his personal memories he got from the war, and how things effect
them and their life after the war. In order to express the tension in the war, O Brien depicts the
experience of the soldiers by showing the different ways of expression of male love from these
soldiers. Although there are many forms of friendship, some of which may vary from place to
place, the friendship in the war is the most unique one. As the definition of Friendship, Friendship
is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an association. The bond between soldiers is more
intense and real, and this is also the message that Tim O Brien shows in his book by using
metaphor, details depicting and technique of repetition.

I went to an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting on November 26, 2016 at noon in Simi
Valley, CA. It was in the back entrance of a strip mall in a long, thin room with tables down the

minutes from my house, but I have never noticed it before. As I walked in there was a little

In the past years, drug delivery via the nasal route has established itself as a competitor and an
alternative route over other routes of administration. It provides a higher degree of patient
compliance and drugs can be painlessly self administered by the patient (Illum, 2003). Drugs
administered through nasal route are absorbed rapidly and can reach therapeutically effective
plasma levels quickly due to highly permeable membranes and rich vasculature of the nasal cavity
(Majithiya et al., 2006). In addition, the nasal route offers further advantages over the oral route,
especially for those drugs that have poor oral bioavailability due to high hepatic first pass
metabolism, pH instability and enzyme degradation in GIT (Ugwoke et al., 2001).

In March, by Geraldine Brooks, we learn about the political time period of the American Civil
War. The main character, Mr. March is an avid abolitionist on the Union side working as a
chaplain. An idealistic Mr. March goes against his moral code of pacifism, and takes action by
joining the American Civil War. If March is not as idealistic as he is, he never would have fought
in the war.
Throughout the novel, one recurring theme in Mr. March s life are his decisions whether to take
action against injustices or not. Mr. March lives his life by the moral codes of his religious beliefs
of pacifism, and anti slavery. When Mr. March is contemplating the idea of going to war, he
considers one hand, if he goes he will be going against his religion of pacifism. On the other hand,
if he goes, he would be impressing Marmee, fighting for abolitionism, and he believes others will
respect him for being a solider. He decides to take action and put his abolitionist values, pride and
Marmee s admiration above those of pacifism. If he does not take action, he would feel he had
been a part of the continuation of slavery, and in his mind, commit a sin against slaves. Another
time when Mr. March has to decide between action and inaction is when the rebel irregulars attack
