Comparing The Scottsboro Trials And The Salem Witch Trials
In 1931, in Scottsboro, Alabama, nine young black men were charged with raping two white women.
They were tried, convicted, and sentenced to death. While the death sentences were overturned by the
Alabama Supreme Court, the Scottsboro boys still served an average of ten years in prison for a crime
that they didn t commit. While the Scottsboro trials took place over 200 years after the Salem Witch
Trials, the circumstances surrounding both cases are extremely similar. One way in which the
Scottsboro Trials and the Salem Witch Trials are similar is that in both cases, the accused parties were
eventually proven to be innocent. In the Scottsboro Trials, all of the nine accused young men were
later found to be innocent. In April 2013, the governor of Alabama officially pardoned the Scottsboro
Boys and exonerated them of any wrong doing. In 1711, the colony of Salem restored the rights and
innocence of those accused during the Salem Witch Trials. Even though both of the accused parties
seemed guilty to the people of both Scottsboro and Salem, they were later proven ... Show more

In Scottsboro, the two young women at the center of the case, Ruby Bates and Victoria Price, weren t
the innocent young women that they were perceived as being. In reality, they were both racist
prostitutes who were frequently drunk. There should have been serious doubts to the claims that these
girls were making, especially with how severe they were. Similarly, the lead accuser during the Salem
Witch Trials was Abigail Williams who, while the trials were taking place, stole money from her
uncle, Reverend Parris, and disappeared. The evidence that the accused were witches was based on the
testimony of the young girls of the town, mainly Abigail Williams. The testimonies that the young
girls gave should have been more highly questioned given their

The Destruction Of The Mongols Across Afro Eurasia And The...
The destruction of the Mongols across Afro Eurasia and the Black Death were the factors in which
prompted the creation of the three important Islamic states. The three newly formed empires were the
Ottomans, Safavids, and Mughals and they controlled regions from Southern Europe to the northern
part of India. According to Pollard, by the mid sixteenth century the Mughals controlled the northern
Indus river valley; the Safavids occupied Persia; and the Ottomans ruled Anatolia, the Arab, world,
and much of southern and eastern Europe, (Pollard, Pg. 391). The Ottoman Empire lasted the longest
of the three up until the early twentieth century due to their politics, religion tolerance, and develop of
commerce. The Ottoman Empire s politics were very clever to achieve rapid success because its
structure was based on adaptation and attractions. During Osman s reign, the sultan, the empire
adopted many ideologies from their adversaries to persuade people to joined their improved kingdom.
In the book, Pollard explains how, [ the Ottomans] transformed themselves from warrior bands
roaming the borderlands between Islamic and Christian worlds into rulers of a settled state..., (Pollard,
Pg. 392). They saw a clearer vision that their laying foundations was their military might and civilian
bureaucracy. Their strategy for territorial expansion across the continent was by attracting civilians to

Mainstreaming Special Needs
Mainstreaming special needs
The soaring cost of special education for disabled students has been appropriately integrated into
public schools for the common good of all students from various social classes. Special education has
had a deep histroy that has been characterized by a score of legislations that has set this form of
education and how it is administered to assimilate students with learning disabilities into standard
classrooms. In both the United Kingdom and the United States, the first account of special education
recognizes the deaf and blind students. In England the first school to cater for special education was
the Liverpool Blind School in the year 1791. In the United States, the first ever special education

In spite of these legislations, the law was not acted upon or rather implemented immediately. Still, it
took time for compulsory education for all to be actualized (Kesha 120). The next stage in the
development of special education was segregatioin that sought to iinvolve student with disabilities in
the same learning instutions as all other students, but in in isolate classrooms. However, this changed
upon the enactment of the all handicapped Children Act of 1975, which introduced mainstreaming.
This had a postive implication in that handicapped chidren were included and encouregaed to
particpate in regualr classrooms hence the period of integration dawned. This was a remarkable
achievement and the Act pertaining to education for the handicapped was amended to include six new
critical elements in fostering special education. These elements were: parental participation in the
special education process, legititmate process to enforece accountability, Individualized Education
Programs (IEPs) to formulate a custom program for each student, Least Restrictive Environment
(LRE) that allowed the disabled children in regular classrooms as much as possible, A program to find
and assess disabled children in a fair manner, free and approprioate public education (FAPE) for all
children. In the 20th century the law regarding special education (IDEA) Individuals with Disabilities

Research Paper On Dental Sealants
If you are considering dental sealants for your child s teeth, you are probably also wondering about
child safety. Many parents are concerned about Bisphenol A (BPA) compounds, but pediatric dentists
recommend using the air tight plastic shield to seal out plaque. The results include dramatically less
decay to biting surfaces, but will it negatively affect kids health? While the United States Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, and other government agencies, describe dental sealants as a safe
plastic coating, many still worry about the effects of these compounds. However, BPA has been in
commercial use since 1957. Research has shown BPA causes health issues with laboratory animals,
and BPA levels in humans tend to be higher than

The Paperwork Reduction Act Of 1980
The Paperwork Reduction Act is a federal law of the United States of America that was designed to
help reduce the burden of the amount of paperwork given to businesses and private individuals by the
federal government. The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, Pub. L. No. 96 511, 94 Stat. 2812 (Dec.
11, 1980), codified in part at Subchapter I of Chapter 35 of Title 44 of the United States Code, 44
U.S.C. § 3501 through 44 U.S.C. § 3521, is a United States federal law enacted in 1980 that gave
authority over the collection of certain information to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Within the OMB, the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) was established with
specific authority to regulate matters regarding federal information and to establish information
policies. These information policies were intended to reduce the total amount of paperwork handled
by the United States government and the general public. This act established the Office of Information
and Regulatory Affairs within the Office of Management and Budget. It also creates procedural
requirements for federal agencies that intend to give the public a recordkeeping or reporting
requirement. For example, a federal agency would be required to inform the public on the value or
importance of each field on a form. This act also states that all federal agencies must receive approval
form the Office of Management and Budget before release any media or forms to be used in the

Mean Girls Analysis
Mean girls Review
This film is a comedy teen film directed by Mark Waters who directed movies such as Freaky Fridays
and The spider wick Chronicles. This film is a smart and funny one. It even contains some wisdom
and was the most popular teen film. The film was written by Tina Fey who also plays as Miss Norbury
in the film. This film was released in 2004 June 24 Australia. Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) is a junior

breakheart. When there are misunderstandings, they are understandable and not awkward contrivances
manufactured for the convenience of the plot. In the middle of all this, the actor Lindsay Lohan, who
was 17 when the movie was filmed, provides a centre by being centred. She has a quiet self
confidence that prevents her from getting shrill and hyper like so many teenage stars we believe her

The Effects Of Obesity On Public Health
Introduction
Obesity is a traditionally first world health problem that is a growing concern throughout the world
because of its negative effects on public health as well as the wider economy.
According to both the WHO and the NHS, an individual s Body Mass Index (BMI), is an imperfect,
yet effective tool for measuring obesity. The WHO definition has determined that a BMI of 25 29.9 is
classified as being overweight, whereas a BMI of 30 34.9 is considered to be a sign of obesity (World
Health Organization, 2014).The NHS goes on to add that it is useful to consider an individual s waist
circumference as fit and muscular people can also have a relatively high BMI without an excess of fat,
and classifies men and women with waist circumferences of 90cm and 80cm respectively as being at
risk for obesity related health conditions (Nhs.uk, 2014).
Obesity must be dealt with early and at the local level. In the London borough of Hammersmith and
Fulham, 20.1% of year 6 children are classified as obese, high compared to the national average of
18.9%. Conversely, only 13.3% of adults in this borough are obese, much fewer than the national
average of 23.0% (Public Health England, 2014). This high prevalence of childhood obesity exists
despite the area doing well with traditional indicators such as physical activity and uptake of school
lunches. An unpublished 2012 report explained that the greatest risk factors found were eating
practices and familial obesity, although depravity,

Media And Corruption
Stop reading, the story ends. You go back to your life and believe whatever you want to believe.
Continue reading, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. This is no
joke, this is no movie, this is real life and you re in it. The American media system is innately corrupt
and built on the vain purposes of those who fuel it. The current media and journalism deceives its
viewers and manipulates them via twisting and warping topics on a historically monumental scale
causing a wide range of negative effects. The negative influences the media has on young men and
women corrodes their self image and deforms it. While attacking the psyche of children it also
promotes racism, xenophobia, and general fear in people from the suburban level to the state level.
This idea of promoting fear mongering leads to the separation of people and country. In essence,
journalism and the media as a whole have become a very successful pro prejudice system where
anything and everything is negative. In no way is it ethically right to condone or support any media
source, not for some freedom of information cause or political agenda. The act of condoning the media
and journalism admits to the legitimacy of said media and in turn, condones such behavior. Admitting
the media is a legitimate system is also admitting: Kim Kardashian having a baby is news.
The American media system negatively affects the self image of young boys and girls in America by

Miss Jean Brodie Authority
Authority within social groups in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
Muriel spark s The Prime of miss Jean Brodie is a perfect representation of the influence of authority
within social groups. The story follows a group of six girls, Sandy, Jenny, Rose, Mary, Eunice and
Monica. These girls are led by the eccentric Miss Brodie at Blane s School for Girls. Miss Brodie
takes these girls under her wing, teaching them everything she can about life, but since they have been
in this set (Spark 10) since they were ten, they grew up thinking that everything Miss Brodie said and
did was right. The girls were young and impressionable, which is why Miss Brodie was able to exert
her authority so influentially over them. Although the girls admired Miss Brodie, they failed to see
that she was controlling them. In the story, the author uses symbolism, characterization and literary
devices to bring ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To begin with, the device Spark uses to convey this message is the symbolism of Miss Brodie s prime
(Spark 19). Miss Brodie s prime symbolizes her height of wisdom and insight. She believes she is at
the point where she can offer strong leadership to her girls. She has told these girls that they were
[hers] for life (Spark 16) , and that she was dedicating herself to them, since she was in her prime.
Throughout the course of the group s existence, the girls would wonder what made a woman s prime
more important than any other time in their life, and why was Miss Brodie dedicating hers to them.
This is one of the many forms of manipulation Miss Brodie uses to keep the girls with her. She shows
her self proclaimed superiority over her group of girls when she expects them to feel uniquely

Essay about Katherine Mansfield s Miss Brill
Illusion vs. Reality in Miss Brill
Miss Brill by Katherine Mansfield is set the Jardins Publiques in France. Every Sunday Miss Brill
looks forward to getting dressed up and visiting the park, where she enjoys people watching. Her
weekly visits to the park are undoubtedly the highlight of her week, bringing her great joy and
satisfaction. There are many illusions in this story, in this essay I intend to show three different
illusions Miss Brill uses to make herself happy and how her reality is shattered at the end of the story
by a chance remark.
Miss Brill s first illusion is her fur, which she thinks of as being alive. Mansfield writes, Dear little
thing! ...and rubbed the life back into the dim little eyes. `What has been ... Show more content on

Miss Brill soon observes a lady and a gentleman having a brief encounter in the park, and she
imagines what is being said on between the couple. Through this encounter one sees that Miss Brill is
living vicariously through the people in the park to fulfill her loneliness. Miss Brill s voyeurism leaves
her feeling as though she has interactions with these people; this, in turn, leaves her happy and
fulfilled. The truth is she is a very lonely person looking to fill her time in the park with imagined
relationships.
Miss Brill s third illusion is that she thinks of herself as an actress (123) in a play. This illusion gives
Miss Brill great pleasure and exhilaration, as she thinks, They were all on stage... they were acting
(123) and that she is An Actress (123), which is an important part of her illusion. Mansfield writes,
Who could believe the sky at the back wasn t painted? (123). This statement leads readers to believe
that Miss Brill thinks of the sky and the park as the set of the play. She believes that the all of the park
patrons weren t only the audience (123) but also the actors in a great play. Miss Brill even sees a dog
that happens to be walking across the park as a `theater dog. She also believes that somebody would
have noticed if she hadn t been there (123) for her Sunday performance, and that she would be greatly
missed. In actuality she is not an actress in a play but one of the many people enjoying the park.

Peer Led Groups Research Paper
Peer led groups focus on connecting people with a shared experience or goal. Individuals work
together to provide support and knowledge through their own experiences. Like any group, peer led
support groups can be personal and stressful so my question is this; how do peer led support groups
function when emotions become high and raw? Group setting can be stressful when working with
different personalities and opinions, so what steps can be taken to see to an effective outcome? Every
group has a different purpose. Some groups are put together to create a final outcome whereas peer led
groups like Alcoholics Anonymous, where the group purpose is sobriety and higher power, are put
together to create an ongoing support system.

Boundaries enable your self worth and carry a level of emotional protection. Personal boundaries help
you decide what you believe to be true and empower you to act.
Over time some group role come to light. We notice than one person may seem to direct the room flow
more than others, one person never seems to speak or never agrees. Expression of emotions is
encouraged in peer led support groups, often leading to anger and arguments. Group settings such as
these are places were individuals feel safe to disclose their deepest woes leading to high and raw
emotions. While every group can experience challenging members, the main types of people
encountered are the quiet members, the monopolizer, the joker, the angry member and the fixer. The
quiet member seems to usually keep to themselves while the monopolizer is the opposite and tends to
take over the conversation. The joker enjoys the spotlight and being the life of the party. The angry
member never seems to find comfort or happiness in discussion while the fixer always tries to help

Compare And Contrast A Unitary And Human Needs Theory
Compare and Contrast: A Unitary and Human Needs Theory Martha Rogers and Virginia Henderson
are two theorists who have been very influential in the nursing profession, evidenced in both scholarly
and practical settings. The purpose of this paper is to compare and contrast Rogers unitary theory and
Virginia Henderson s human needs theory; including the background and philosophy that influenced
these theorist, along with how they defined the meta paradigm concepts of nurse, person, health, and
environment, and the usefulness of their ideas to practice. Background, Influences and Philosophical
Orientation Martha Rogers was born in Dallas, Texas, 1914 (ANA, 2017). The American Nursing
Association recognized that Rogers received her diploma from the Knoxville General Hospital School
of Nursing in 1936, and the following year received her bachelor of science in Nashville from the
George Peabody College (2017). In 1954, she was appointed the professor of nursing at a New York
University, where she later developed her science of unitary and irreducible human beings theory
through the exploration of philosophical and theoretical studies (ANA, 2017). Roger s influence was
her belief in developing an existing body of knowledge that was unique and specific to nursing, and
that supported the need for nurses to get a higher education (Wayne, 2014). Rogers s theory was
deductively derived by borrowing propositions from anthropology, psychology, sociology, physics,

Social Culture Of The Pawnee Tribe
The Pawnee tribe is a Native American tribe that was originated from Nebraska and had very unique
cultural elements. The cultural elements I chose to go more indepth are Social Organizations, Customs
and Traditions, Language, and Religion of the Pawnee tribe. For the Social Organizations I will
discuss the social classes, and the political organization of the tribe. For Customs and Traditions I will
examine the rules of behavior, as well as the food they consumed. For Language I will discuss the
written and the unwritten language as well as the common language with the other bands. Lastly I will
talk about the Religion and go into more details on their rituals, and their beliefs. I believe that the
longevity of the tribe was directly related to the way they lived. The social organization of the Pawnee
tribe consisted of the social class, and the political organization. The Pawnee tribe was divided into
four main bands the Chaui or the Great Band , the Kitkahahki or the Republican , the Pirahauerat or
the Tappage and the Skiri or the Wolf Pawnee . These four bands made up the political organization.
The Chaui are generally recognized as being the leading band although each band was autonomous,
that is until outside pressures from the Europeans and neighboring tribes saw the Pawnee drawing
closer together. (Legends of America) The Pawnee s social classes were set up in a series of
hierarchical divisions. The highest class consisted of chiefs followed by warriors,

Louise Rosenblatt Poem
Reflection on Rosenblatt Limerick (Ireland) is a cold, humid city. Days in Limerick are gray. Always

miserable. Macondo (Colombia) is a hot, humid little town lost somewhere in the Colombian coast.

The reader and the text make possible to construct multiple layers of reality. Rosenblatt states:
literature especially invites confusion about its relation with reality (p. 33); thus, the pretended reality
of the text only emerges when the reader makes it real. Text reality is not just related to the tangible
world, but it is related to the realities constructed in the mind of the reader. It is not uncommon, for
example, to see children creating realities in their minds when they read. It has been more than once
that I have seen my own children to mimic the voices of the characters of the text. How can they
mimic a sound that is not audible? This only could be explained through Rosenblatt s framework of
the transactional process of reading. Rosenblatt philosophy of reading has made possible, for those
who belief that reading is much more than the processing of printed words, to understand the reader s
position as the center of the transaction, and create around him/her a truly supportive literacy system,
not just to be able to decode printed symbols, but also to construct the meaning of texts. I am sure that
I was provided this literary context in the form of accessing to books and caring of my reading
practices; otherwise, I am afraid, my love for reading would have disappeared as the years

Game Theory For The Quality Of Service
ABSTRACT
While the Quality of Service (Qos) offered to clients may be improved through innovative
conventions and new technologies, future patterns ought to consider the efficiency of resource
allocation and system/terminal participation also. Game theory techniques have broadly been applied
to various engineering design issues in which the activity of one component has affect on (and maybe
conflicts with) that of some other component.
Along these lines, game formulation definitions are utilized, and a stable results or solution for the
players is deduced through the concept of equilibrium. This review gathers applications of game
theory in wireless networking systems administration and presents them in a layered point of view,
accentuating on which fields game theory could be viably connected. To this end, a few amusements
are displayed and their key features are exposed.
1. Introduction
Game theory is an order directing to model circumstances in which decision makers need to make
particular activities that have shared perhaps conflicting results [1]. It has been utilized basically as a
part of economics, so as to model competition between organizations. In the setting of wireless
networks, game theory may be utilized as an instrument for framing participation schemes among
elements, such as nodes, terminals or network providers. Amid the most recent years, game theory has
likewise been applied to networking, as a resort to take care of routing and resource

The Lie Society s Living
The Lie Society s Living
A man opening his front door with a briefcase in his hand, yells, Honey I m home! after a tiring day at
work has been shown in many movies and TV shows in America, but is this an accurate representation
of our society life today? Is it men who is still the head of the house or has society changed throughout
the years? Is the struggle of women being seconded with making decisions a valid point? Stephen
Marche s article Home Economic: The Link Between Work Life Balance and Income Equality
presents the argument that the major struggle in domestic life isn t men versus women or mothers
versus fathers; it s the family against money (1). Marche s ideas in the article are only a small step in
the right in the right direction, but are correct in his verdicts (might change word).
Marche begins explaining his take on the article Why Women Still Can t Have it All? by Anne Marie
Slaughter s and the book, Lean In, by Sheryl Sandberg (Need explanation) (2). He believes that it is
odd men are not in the picture with the discussion of work and life and concludes that the decision
made in a family must be made together (2). Marche describes the book Lean in to show aspects of
false hope, since work and talent alone cannot bring someone closer to success for both men and
women (2). After reading the article Why Women Still Can t Have It All?, he thought of the many men
that may have it all (qtd. in 3) who, in reality, do

with the stress and frustration it brings. I have also been successfully able to help students improve
their self esteem by making them focus on past successes, so that they may be able to garner the
strength for future aspirations. I don t think age has any role to play when it comes to warming up to
students. As long as they can find a mentor, a guide and trust in someone, they are likely to open up to
them.
As I started my college career at Tuskegee University, where I double majored in psychology and
English. I was passionate about creating social awareness and helping people, but I was unsure what
career I was interested in after graduation. I thought about attending graduate school for Counseling
Psychology, but I just was not sure about it. I spoke to a professor in the Counselor Education program
at Georgia State University and discussed my interests with her. She suggested I look for a program
accredited by Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
School Counseling. I enrolled in the School Counseling program at Clark Atlanta

Unbroken Short Story
WWII will remain as one of the most tragic wars of all time. With an astounding death toll of over 60
million people 3% of the world s population in 1940. In the books Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand,
and Night by Elie Wiesel the horrors of WWII are told in detail about the main characters near death
experiences. Hope is a defining factor throughout the journeys of main characters Louie and Eliezer.
The theme of hope in the face of adversity is a theme common to both stories. No matter how dire the
situation may seem, there is always hope to be found.
In Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, there is much to say about the ordeal and odyssey about Louie the
main character. Louie was an Olympic runner who was brutalized as a prisoner of war in Japan and
was stranded on a raft for 47 days. There is no way he should have survived the horrific times he had
endured, but he did. There were plenty of trials and tribulations that could have made Louie give up,
but the worst was being stranded on a raft only to be found by the Japanese and thrown into a POW
camp. During these times Louie was sick, starving, and being tortured by a sadistic guard they called
the Bird. With small acts of defiance, he was able to preserve his dignity and persevere to make it
through, even though every time he passed one obstacle, he felt there were thousands more. Laura
Hillenbrand then states The same attributes that had made [Louie] the boy terror of Torrance were
keeping him alive in the greatest struggle

Theme Of Persuasion In To Kill A Mockingbird
She did what? With who? Oh my lord! Well, I never. Miss Stephanie Crawford is the town busybody,
having no remorse nor any ability to apologize for the rumors she s spread. this example is seen many
times in the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. In every single incident she is involved in, Miss Crawford
has been one of the antagonists. Her position is to know every single ridiculous detail about her
neighbors, no matter if the rumor hurts or helps them in the long run. Most likely however, the rumor
is going to hurt them. She keeps the gossip mill flowing along with her group of middle aged
unimportant women. Although not a extremely significant antagonist in the plot she still counts
because she moves the story along in the most interesting of ways while feeding the readers important
information, and being comic relief. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Battle Of Jericho By Joshua Huxley
The battle of Jericho was Joshua s first battle as Moses successor. The Israelites were commanded to
march around the walls of Jericho once every day for seven days. On the seventh day they marched
around the wall seven times. The seventh time they marched they shouted out, the priest blew their
trumpets and the walls came down. They overtook the city with a great vengeance and they killed
every person in the city (save Rahab and her household) and they burnt the city with fire and
everything in it. Joshua 6:12 27. The Battle of Ai: the Israelites saw that Ai was small, so they sent
only three thousand men to fight them. Ai won the battle and killed about 36 men and chased them off
their land. Joshua 7:2 6. Ai and Bethel battle: Joshua chose 30,000 men of valor to go hide in an
ambush behind Ai. Then the rest of the army came to the front of the city and flee so that Ai would
chase them. The ambush came up and seized the city while it was unprotected and burnt it down.
Joshua 8:1 29. The Amorite confederacy: Jerusalem with king Adonizedek, Hebron with king Horam,
Jarmuth with king Piram, Lashish with king Japhia, Eglon with king Debir. All these gathered together
against Gibeon who had made peace with Israel. Gibeon asked Joshua for help against these
kingdoms, the Lord was with Joshua. Israel slew them, and then chased them to Bethhoron. When
they were going down to Bethhoron the Lord cast down giant hail from heaven upon them. There

Juxtaposition In The Destructors
There are two types of fiction, literary and commercial. Because the former is more intricate, the
literary approach is often taken while writing meaningful short fiction meant to convey a deeper truth.
Therefore, in order for a short story to be thought provoking, it must be of the literary variety, which
contains complex structure, round characters, and themes that are evident through symbolic elements
within the story. This can best be shown through the juxtaposition and comparison of the commercial
story, The Most Dangerous Game, against the literary story, The Destructors. Something that is able to
generate thought in the mind of the reader is effective characterization, done through the usage of
characters who have deep emotional ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, a symbolic structure is necessary in creating an atmosphere of thought inside the reader, as
it will allow for deeper analytical exploration of the story as a whole. The structure of a story can act
as a symbol and provide a portrayal of the plot, as seen prominently within The Destructors, since the
story is formatted in an interesting way that works to parallel the events occurring. The structure is
interesting, as there are four sections, all with little or no transition between them. Important
information about the context of the time of day is purposely left out by Greene, the author, to
symbolize the disjointedness of the boys lives. This is shown explicitly in the transition, or lack
thereof, from section one to two. Section two begins after a conversation between the boys has ended,
and section 1 skips to the beginning of the next day. Here, the structure purposely caused the reader to
jump ahead in time and miss the events that take place in between the omitted periods of time. The
reader does not get to know what is occurring there. By generating the feeling of missed time, the
structure acts to symbolize the literal discombobulation within the boys lives, and how the Blitz
stripped them of their previous sense of normality in day to day life. The disconnectedness of the
formation of the story mirrors the physical acts of destruction depicted in the story, since the structure
itself is unruly. When the reader compares this story to the commercial story The Most Dangerous
Game, it is apparent that it is more thought out, as the structure of The Most Dangerous Game is
ordinary, and does not convey any larger meaning about the story as a whole. It contains dialogue and
description, however this is to further the plot instead of illustrating other intricate ideas.

The Health Benefits Of Raw Milk
Raw milk is not sold in every state, and there have been reports that the FDA has closed down many
raw milk producers nationwide. The reason behind this, I don t know, but it looks as if they don t want
the health benefits to get out to the public. The less work and more natural a product is, the healthier it
is. In my opinion, drinking raw milk has been done for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, and in
many locations around the world, people still drink raw milk. If it was really as bad for you as the
FDA claims, humans would have never continued to drunk raw milk. Jersey and Guernsey milk comes
from cows bred on the Isle of Guernsey and the Isle of Jersey, which are located off the the British
mainland. The milk Guernsey cows produce is high in fat, and is also loaded with beta carotene and
protein. Jersey cows produce milk that s high in butterfat, which is why it is often used in cheese
making. Both breeds produce richer and higher fat. Lactose free milk is for the many people around
the world who suffer from lactose intolerance, but how can milk that contains lactose really be lactose
free? Lactose free milk simply contains lactase, a natural enzyme that helps break down lactose. Some
people who take a lot of the lactase enzyme could experience bloating and diarrhea after they have
stopped consuming the enzyme. This is from the body trying to break down the lactose without help.
Skim milk is one of the most consumed milk products in the USA. The media would

Becket s Motives
In the play, Becket, by Jean Anouilh, it is evident that Thomas Becket s honor does not lie with King
Henry nor with God, but rather within his heritage as a Saxon. In the beginning of the play, characters
question Becket s devotion to the King. What motives does Becket have for serving the King so
dutifully? Henry believes that Becket and him are just good friends, but other characters begin to
question Becket s motives. Did Becket really use the King in order to get in a position of power? What
was Becket intending to do with that platform? Becket s motives become more clear throughout the
play, but his cause was truly a righteous one. The play constantly reminds the reader that England is a
nation divided; the Normans who have conquered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He usually brushes of the subject of his heritage when he is talked down to from other characters in
the play. Once Becket is appointed as Archbishop of Canterbury, he turns his focus to God. It
appears as though Becket has given all his honor to religion and cares only about serving God.
However, one line in the play reveals Beckets inner struggle with God along with his ancestry; But, as
long as I belong to a conquered race myself, I have a feeling that God s system is a little muddled
(Page 27). This shows that the one thing holding Becket back from entrusting in God, is the treatment
of his people in England. The Saxons had lost everything at the Battle of Hastings and Becket
questions why God has continued to punish his people. As Becket watches the Saxon monk die, before
taking out any Norman barons, he recites his final words; How difficult You make it all! And how
heavy Your honor is to bear? (Page 116). Some might argues that this line shows that Becket has given
his honor fully to God, however, this passage shows that Becket struggles with excepting the past
which prevents him from giving all his honor to God. Becket has still reserved some honor for his
heritage which effects his ability to except God s motives. In death, Becket still believes that God is
punishing him for being a

Analysis Of Strange Fruit By Billie Holiday
In strange fruit, Billie Holiday reveals part of the dreadful truth and inhuman racisim of America s
past. With great imagery and description she describes the scene of lynching taking place in southern
states. Elizabeth Blair, a producer and reporter, describes the intuition of the song by stating While the
lyrics never mention lynching, the metaphor is painfully clear. From what I also have read in other
articles, Strange Fruit quickly became famous. It became known as the original protest song as Peter
Daniels describes in his analysis of the record. Several artist later recored the song as a cover,
including Josh White, Abby Lincoln, and a few others. This record definitely played a role in the civil

How do William Blake and William Wordsworth respond to...
How do William Blake and William Wordsworth respond to nature in their poetry? The Romantic Era
was an age, which opened during the Industrial
(1800 1900) and French Revolution (1789). These ages affected the romantic poets greatly by
disrupting and polluting nature. Before the
Industrial Revolution, William Blake wrote about Songs of Innocence.
He also wrote Songs of Experience but after the Industrial
Revolution. William Wordsworth, on the other hand, continued on an optimistic route and ignored the
Industrial Revolution in his poems.
He instead wrote about nature only and its beauty. Previous Augustan poets were more controlled and
rule governed. They were also concerned with order.
In Blake s London , he describes the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wordsworth talks about the mind being free and relaxed, Ne er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep! The
adjective
deep shows how immense the tranquility is. It also shows how the poem is personal, Ne er saw I. He
sets the scene in the morning, creating a feeling of calmness and peace, The beauty of the morning;
silent, bare. The noun beauty implies splendor and magnificence, showing the opposite of what Blake
writes about London . The adjective silent is also the opposite of what Blake writes in
London , How the youthful Harlot s curse . Wordsworth mentions the daffodils as people, When all at
once I saw a crowd. Similarly, he uses personification, crowd , to imply that everyone is unified in
nature. He uses color in his poem to indicate a deeper meaning, A host, of golden daffodils. The
adjective golden illustrates purity as well, therefore connecting it to innocence. The noun host has a
slight religious tone, which also relates to purity. The Daffodils has eight syllables in each line. This
makes the poem seem more complex than Spring .
In Spring , a lively tone is repeated throughout the poem, Merrily, merrily we welcome in the year.
The adverb merrily is repeated to highlight the positive tone of the poem and to make it last longer.
The pronoun we welcome in the year also shows us how everyone is unified in nature. Blake uses
colour to expand the meaning of the sentence, Come and

The Abortion And Its Effects On The United States
Since 1973, a total of 57,496,011 abortions have been reported to the Centers of Disease Control and
that number keeps rising. This does not include the self induced abortions or the abortions your body
causes, also known as miscarriage. There are so many different procedures throughout the years. In
the early years, many women did not seek help from licensed medical assistance. They attempted
removal of the fetus with a coat hanger also piercing of the fetus with a knitting needle, crochet hook,
hat pin, bobby pin or similar device inserted into the uterus through the cervix. Many women also
used douching methods linked to miscarriage to abort the baby such as Clorox bleach or lye which
could also cause chemical burns. In the 1960s women also used Coca Cola to send their bodies into

Income Tax Hypothesis
To test the hypothesis of increasing income taxes causes people to find ways to avoid tax or causes
citizens to work less, ultimately reducing the tax rate can be tested at the national level, as well as, the
state level. In one state a higher income tax rate could cause people to work more, but when increasing
income taxes is tested at the national level the average might prove the opposite. In order to test the
effects of increasing income taxes I would suggest a data set that is aimed more at the national level.
The data set provided by the Internal Revenue Service has tax years from 1996 to 2013, ranging in
different adjusted gross incomes of $0 to $10,000,000 or more. With the years provided as well as the
different income brackets the data shows how many people were a part of a certain income level at
one point of time and in another point of time when the tax rates can be increased how many people
switched income brackets. Variable such as GDP and the unemployment rate could be factored in,
which would allow a regression to be ran and then one could find out if the increasing tax rates does
reduce the tax rate at the national level. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The data set is provided by the United States Census Bureau and it breaks down income taxes as well
as individual income tax by different states. Why I think looking at the effects of increasing income
taxes at the state level is the certain states that might not have such a large population such as Montana
or Alaska might have more of an effect on the reduction in the tax rate, and the opposite might prove
true for states such as California, or Texas. The variables in these different states might be different
such as the unemployment rate in California might be higher than it is in Montana so that might have
more of an effect on the tax rate. In other words, to look at the whole one must look at the pieces

Before setting off on our journey I took my colleague to Parque de Iguanas. This is a very common

However, what made San Cristobal a critical aspect of our expedition was that it was home to

Lord Of The Flies And Animal Farm Essay
The purpose of this drawing is to show how the tendency of human impulse towards savagery will
always be prominent within us. There are simply ideals and rules in civilization that are designed to
contain and minimize it. Therefore, when these restrictions are lifted or discarded, savagery will take

This is prominently represented by Jack, who is dressed in his school uniform clean and presentable,
while standing on the beach confined by vegetation. When he is first introduced to the story he is

This is shown in the book by the quote But the hunters had only sneaked into the fringes of the

Even though we live behind a wall of false purity, our true reflection will always show this evil
because it is in our nature to be barbaric animals. That is why in my drawing Jack s reflection in the
water is showing his savage nature. This consists of him in his underwear, for when he hunts and
shows his barbaric nature is is often naked to the waist (Golding 109). The mask on his face is also
worn during these actions, for it symbolizes the masking of his true self allowing savagery to take

In the scholarly article African Genesis and Lord of the Flies : Two Studies of the Beastie Within the

savagery because they were no longer in the structure of society.

H. Lunulata Essay
Hapalochlaena lunulata is about 20 cm at maximum spread, but under normal circumstances, it
appears much smaller than this. H. lunulata is dark brown to dark yellow in color, but with brilliant
blue rings thought to be warning coloration that glow when it is angry. The reason the rings are blue is
thought to be that the visual range of the octopus is most sensitive in the blue part of the spectrum. At
the small beak at the junction of its eight arms rather than manufacturing ink, H. lunulata makes

Therefore, this study will focus on investigating this trait. The intensity of the blue rings will differ
with the proximity and size of the threat to scare the threat away to avoid predation.
The independent variable that will be measured is the rings of the Hapalochlaena lunulata. This will be
controlled and manipulated using a stick with different sizes of circles at 3 distances from the octopus
s location in the tank. The three distances will be at 60cm, 30cm and 15cm and the diameter of the
circles at the end of the stick will be 4cm, 10cm and 17cm. This will be tested on 3 female and 3 male
octopuses of relatively the same age. A few controls that will need to be insured is the temperature of
the tank, the size of the tank, the objects in the tank and their location and, the location of the octopus
in the tank. The dependent variable measured is the size and intensity of the blue rings. This will be
measured through photos that will be analyzed on a software on a computer.
The gender of the octopus is not expected to influence the results as they are extremely similar in size,
appearance and behavior. The null hypothesis is that the intensity of the blue rings will not differ or is
not affected by the proximity and size of the threat to scare the threat away to avoid predation. The
possible results of the experiment that would not reject the null hypothesis is that there is no

Project Management Techniques And Control Systems Essay
Project management techniques
Introduction
Project management is a challenging task with many complex responsibilities. Fortunately, there are
many techniques available to assist with accomplishing the tasks and hence executing the
responsibilities. Such techniques include project planning, scheduling and controlling. The elements
that need to be planned, scheduled and controlled are time, cost and quality. Different methods have
therefore to be used in cost planning and control systems, time planning, scheduling and controlling
systems, and quality planning and control system. Organisational techniques will enable the project
resources such as labour, material and plant to be ordered at the right time and when directing the
resources for work it will be ideally stated. A chain of command will exist when organisational
structure is in place (Oberlender, 1993). These techniques have sprung up at an ever increasing rate.
When perusing any engineering or project management magazine or browsing on the internet one will
be amazed by the number of software packages offering various project management techniques
implemented through project management software.
According to Reiss (1992), a range of project management techniques and concept are applied to a
wide range of tasks that really do not have any singularity. The techniques and tools have spread into
areas where there is a degree of repetition. Walker (2002) agrees with this sentiment, and states that
these techniques are

A Bourgeois Puts His World In Order
France, as we know it today, is so much different from the France of yesteryear. About the fifteenth
century, the political system in France, gave rise to a socially stratified society which comprised three
different ranks of people, referred to as the Estates. The first Estate at the top was made up of the
clergy, the Second consisted of the nobility; with the commoners at the bottom rank, or Third Estate.
Within each rank were sub ranks, and each rank distinguished itself through conventions, dress, duties,

urban poor and peasants. Under this Old Regime, those in the First and Second Estates had more

Sherman and Salisbury in their book, The West in the World, Vol. II , stated that the agricultural
revolution led to the reshaping of the Old Regime. They reasoned that France was able to support a
limited measure of population growth. However, the eighteenth century population growth increased
the demand for food, as well as for additional workers on the farm, if they were to increase
agricultural yield . Consequently, new methods of agricultural production were employed and new
crops were introduced. These innovative methods allowed fewer people to work the fields , while still
producing far more food than needed . This agricultural revolution helped set the stage for an even
greater economic transformation as rural lands were farmed for subsistence into large controlled
properties that produced crops for commerce. In addition, Sherman and Salisbury noted that The
agricultural revolution forced or freed people to work more in nonagricultural jobs . One alternative
was manufacturing. There was now a greater demand for manufactured goods and for workers to
produced them. The agricultural revolution ...altered the ways by which many people earned a living,
and these changes generate enormous new wealth . Many people became involved in finance and trade
and so they got rich quickly, and could live similar lifestyle as those in the top rank. Changes in

  • 2. Comparing The Scottsboro Trials And The Salem Witch Trials In 1931, in Scottsboro, Alabama, nine young black men were charged with raping two white women. They were tried, convicted, and sentenced to death. While the death sentences were overturned by the Alabama Supreme Court, the Scottsboro boys still served an average of ten years in prison for a crime that they didn t commit. While the Scottsboro trials took place over 200 years after the Salem Witch Trials, the circumstances surrounding both cases are extremely similar. • 9. The Effects Of Obesity On Public Health Introduction Obesity is a traditionally first world health problem that is a growing concern throughout the world because of its negative effects on public health as well as the wider economy. According to both the WHO and the NHS, an individual s Body Mass Index (BMI), is an imperfect, yet effective tool for measuring obesity. The WHO definition has determined that a BMI of 25 29.9 is classified as being overweight, whereas a BMI of 30 34.9 is considered to be a sign of obesity (World Health Organization, 2014).The NHS goes on to add that it is useful to consider an individual s waist circumference as fit and muscular people can also have a relatively high BMI without an excess of fat, and classifies men and women with waist circumferences of 90cm and 80cm respectively as being at risk for obesity related health conditions (Nhs.uk, 2014). Obesity must be dealt with early and at the local level. In the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, 20.1% of year 6 children are classified as obese, high compared to the national average of 18.9%. Conversely, only 13.3% of adults in this borough are obese, much fewer than the national average of 23.0% (Public Health England, 2014). Continue reading, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. This is no joke, this is no movie, this is real life and you re in it. The American media system is innately corrupt and built on the vain purposes of those who fuel it. The current media and journalism deceives its viewers and manipulates them via twisting and warping topics on a historically monumental scale causing a wide range of negative effects. The negative influences the media has on young men and women corrodes their self image and deforms it. While attacking the psyche of children it also promotes racism, xenophobia, and general fear in people from the suburban level to the state level. This idea of promoting fear mongering leads to the separation of people and country. In essence, journalism and the media as a whole have become a very successful pro prejudice system where anything and everything is negative. In no way is it ethically right to condone or support any media source, not for some freedom of information cause or political agenda. The act of condoning the media and journalism admits to the legitimacy of said media and in turn, condones such behavior. It is not uncommon, for example, to see children creating realities in their minds when they read. It has been more than once that I have seen my own children to mimic the voices of the characters of the text. How can they mimic a sound that is not audible? Section two begins after a conversation between the boys has ended, and section 1 skips to the beginning of the next day. Here, the structure purposely caused the reader to jump ahead in time and miss the events that take place in between the omitted periods of time. The reader does not get to know what is occurring there. By generating the feeling of missed time, the structure acts to symbolize the literal discombobulation within the boys lives, and how the Blitz stripped them of their previous sense of normality in day to day life. The disconnectedness of the formation of the story mirrors the physical acts of destruction depicted in the story, since the structure itself is unruly. When the reader compares this story to the commercial story The Most Dangerous Game, it is apparent that it is more thought out, as the structure of The Most Dangerous Game is ordinary, and does not convey any larger meaning about the story as a whole. It contains dialogue and description, however this is to further the plot instead of illustrating other intricate ideas. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. The Health Benefits Of Raw Milk Raw milk is not sold in every state, and there have been reports that the FDA has closed down many raw milk producers nationwide. The reason behind this, I don t know, but it looks as if they don t want the health benefits to get out to the public. The less work and more natural a product is, the healthier it is. In my opinion, drinking raw milk has been done for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, and in many locations around the world, people still drink raw milk. If it was really as bad for you as the FDA claims, humans would have never continued to drunk raw milk. Jersey and Guernsey milk comes from cows bred on the Isle of Guernsey and the Isle of Jersey, which are located off the the British mainland. The milk Guernsey cows produce is high in fat, and is also loaded with beta carotene and protein. Jersey cows produce milk that s high in butterfat, which is why it is often used in cheese making. Both breeds produce richer and higher fat. Lactose free milk is for the many people around the world who suffer from lactose intolerance, but how can milk that contains lactose really be lactose free? Lactose free milk simply contains lactase, a natural enzyme that helps break down lactose. Some people who take a lot of the lactase enzyme could experience bloating and diarrhea after they have stopped consuming the enzyme. This is from the body trying to break down the lactose without help. Skim milk is one of the most consumed milk products in the USA. The media would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Becket s Motives In the play, Becket, by Jean Anouilh, it is evident that Thomas Becket s honor does not lie with King Henry nor with God, but rather within his heritage as a Saxon. In the beginning of the play, characters question Becket s devotion to the King. What motives does Becket have for serving the King so dutifully? Henry believes that Becket and him are just good friends, but other characters begin to question Becket s motives. Did Becket really use the King in order to get in a position of power? What was Becket intending to do with that platform? Becket s motives become more clear throughout the play, but his cause was truly a righteous one. The play constantly reminds the reader that England is a nation divided; the Normans who have conquered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He usually brushes of the subject of his heritage when he is talked down to from other characters in the play. Once Becket is appointed as Archbishop of Canterbury, he turns his focus to God. It appears as though Becket has given all his honor to religion and cares only about serving God. However, one line in the play reveals Beckets inner struggle with God along with his ancestry; But, as long as I belong to a conquered race myself, I have a feeling that God s system is a little muddled (Page 27). This shows that the one thing holding Becket back from entrusting in God, is the treatment of his people in England. The Saxons had lost everything at the Battle of Hastings and Becket questions why God has continued to punish his people. As Becket watches the Saxon monk die, before taking out any Norman barons, he recites his final words; How difficult You make it all! And how heavy Your honor is to bear? (Page 116). Some might argues that this line shows that Becket has given his honor fully to God, however, this passage shows that Becket struggles with excepting the past which prevents him from giving all his honor to God. Becket has still reserved some honor for his heritage which effects his ability to except God s motives. In death, Becket still believes that God is punishing him for being a ... With great imagery and description she describes the scene of lynching taking place in southern states. Elizabeth Blair, a producer and reporter, describes the intuition of the song by stating While the lyrics never mention lynching, the metaphor is painfully clear. From what I also have read in other articles, Strange Fruit quickly became famous. It became known as the original protest song as Peter Daniels describes in his analysis of the record. • 33. How do William Blake and William Wordsworth respond to... How do William Blake and William Wordsworth respond to nature in their poetry? The Romantic Era was an age, which opened during the Industrial (1800 1900) and French Revolution (1789). These ages affected the romantic poets greatly by disrupting and polluting nature. Before the Industrial Revolution, William Blake wrote about Songs of Innocence. He also wrote Songs of Experience but after the Industrial Revolution. William Wordsworth, on the other hand, continued on an optimistic route and ignored the Industrial Revolution in his poems. He instead wrote about nature only and its beauty. Previous Augustan poets were more controlled and rule governed. They were also concerned with order. In Blake s London , he describes the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wordsworth talks about the mind being free and relaxed, Ne er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep! The adjective deep shows how immense the tranquility is. It also shows how the poem is personal, Ne er saw I. He sets the scene in the morning, creating a feeling of calmness and peace, The beauty of the morning; silent, bare. The noun beauty implies splendor and magnificence, showing the opposite of what Blake writes about London . The adjective silent is also the opposite of what Blake writes in London , How the youthful Harlot s curse . Wordsworth mentions the daffodils as people, When all at once I saw a crowd. Similarly, he uses personification, crowd , to imply that everyone is unified in nature. He uses color in his poem to indicate a deeper meaning, A host, of golden daffodils. The adjective golden illustrates purity as well, therefore connecting it to innocence. The noun host has a slight religious tone, which also relates to purity. The Daffodils has eight syllables in each line. This makes the poem seem more complex than Spring . In Spring , a lively tone is repeated throughout the poem, Merrily, merrily we welcome in the year. The adverb merrily is repeated to highlight the positive tone of the poem and to make it last longer. The pronoun we welcome in the year also shows us how everyone is unified in nature. • 36. Income Tax Hypothesis To test the hypothesis of increasing income taxes causes people to find ways to avoid tax or causes citizens to work less, ultimately reducing the tax rate can be tested at the national level, as well as, the state level. In one state a higher income tax rate could cause people to work more, but when increasing income taxes is tested at the national level the average might prove the opposite. In order to test the effects of increasing income taxes I would suggest a data set that is aimed more at the national level. The data set provided by the Internal Revenue Service has tax years from 1996 to 2013, ranging in different adjusted gross incomes of $0 to $10,000,000 or more. With the years provided as well as the different income brackets the data shows how many people were a part of a certain income level at one point of time and in another point of time when the tax rates can be increased how many people switched income brackets. Variable such as GDP and the unemployment rate could be factored in, which would allow a regression to be ran and then one could find out if the increasing tax rates does reduce the tax rate at the national level. ... Why I think looking at the effects of increasing income taxes at the state level is the certain states that might not have such a large population such as Montana or Alaska might have more of an effect on the reduction in the tax rate, and the opposite might prove true for states such as California, or Texas. The variables in these different states might be different such as the unemployment rate in California might be higher than it is in Montana so that might have more of an effect on the tax rate. Before setting off on our journey I took my colleague to Parque de Iguanas. This is a very common tourist attraction because of how up close and personal you can be with iguanas that live in there. There are simply ideals and rules in civilization that are designed to contain and minimize it. Therefore, when these restrictions are lifted or discarded, savagery will take over causing destruction within and the inevitable loss of humanity. This is prominently represented by Jack, who is dressed in his school uniform clean and presentable, while standing on the beach confined by vegetation. That is why in my drawing Jack s reflection in the water is showing his savage nature. This consists of him in his underwear, for when he hunts and shows his barbaric nature is is often naked to the waist (Golding 109). The mask on his face is also worn during these actions, for it symbolizes the masking of his true self allowing savagery to take over as his prominent identity as shown in the quote The chief s blush was hidden by the white and red clay. H. lunulata is dark brown to dark yellow in color, but with brilliant blue rings thought to be warning coloration that glow when it is angry. The reason the rings are blue is thought to be that the visual range of the octopus is most sensitive in the blue part of the spectrum. At the small beak at the junction of its eight arms rather than manufacturing ink, H. lunulata makes poison like the tetrodotoxin found in poisonous puffer fishes. This will be controlled and manipulated using a stick with different sizes of circles at 3 distances from the octopus s location in the tank. The three distances will be at 60cm, 30cm and 15cm and the diameter of the circles at the end of the stick will be 4cm, 10cm and 17cm. • 41. Project Management Techniques And Control Systems Essay Project management techniques Introduction Project management is a challenging task with many complex responsibilities. Fortunately, there are many techniques available to assist with accomplishing the tasks and hence executing the responsibilities. Such techniques include project planning, scheduling and controlling. The elements that need to be planned, scheduled and controlled are time, cost and quality. Different methods have therefore to be used in cost planning and control systems, time planning, scheduling and controlling systems, and quality planning and control system. Organisational techniques will enable the project resources such as labour, material and plant to be ordered at the right time and when directing the resources for work it will be ideally stated. A chain of command will exist when organisational structure is in place (Oberlender, 1993). These techniques have sprung up at an ever increasing rate. When perusing any engineering or project management magazine or browsing on the internet one will be amazed by the number of software packages offering various project management techniques implemented through project management software. According to Reiss (1992), a range of project management techniques and concept are applied to a wide range of tasks that really do not have any singularity. The techniques and tools have spread into areas where there is a degree of repetition. Walker (2002) agrees with this sentiment, and states that these techniques are ... Sherman and Salisbury in their book, The West in the World, Vol. II , stated that the agricultural revolution led to the reshaping of the Old Regime. They reasoned that France was able to support a limited measure of population growth. Consequently, new methods of agricultural production were employed and new crops were introduced. These innovative methods allowed fewer people to work the fields , while still producing far more food than needed . This agricultural revolution helped set the stage for an even greater economic transformation as rural lands were farmed for subsistence into large controlled properties that produced crops for commerce.
