Organizational Development can involve interventions in the organization s processes, using
behavioral science knowledge as well as organizational reflection, system improvement, planning and
self analysis. Kurt Lewin (1898 1947) is widely recognized as the founding father of Organizational

How can the symbiotic relationship between employee satisfaction and organizational success be

The And New England Colonies
Everyone has an external force that motivates them in some way that allows them to be able to go
about their everyday lives and fulfill their ambitions. Within the years of 1580 and 1763 this force
took the form of God. Around this same time was when the Chesapeake and New England colonies
were in the process of being founded. As a result, these two settlements did nothing without
referencing their actions to God. Due to this heavy focus on God as the reason behind every aspect of
their lives, chaos began to sprout soon after the settlers began settling and started living their new lives
in the colonies. Since the colonist believed that God dictated their entire lives; they never felt that they
were in the wrong. Not once did the colonists stop to think that they had no right to steal the natives
land. If God had not smitten them, then they thought that God approved of what they were doing. In
this case, the colonists were in the process of acquiring land that the earth bringeth foorth all things in
aboundance, as in the first creation, without toile or labour... the most plentifull, sweete, fruitfull, and
wholesome [soil] of all the world . The new land that the colonists wanted to take appeared similar to
the Garden of Eden. Since they successfully made their voyage to the new land, it looked as if God
allowed them to enter a land similar to one of his own. If God gave the colonists access to the land,
then wouldn t that mean that the colonists were entitled to the land

The Causes Of Slavery In North America
Slavery in North America first began when the first African slaves arrived in the American colony of
Jamestown in 1619. They were first used to aid in the production of the American cash crop tobacco.
From that point, white land owners depended greatly on the work of slaves. This did not seem an issue
at the time but as more people came over to the Americas and more people developed their own ideas
of freedom, a silent war broke within the country. The first great schism, the first act of cold war, was
the 3/5 Compromise in which it was decided that an African servant was only counted as 3/5 of a
person and therefore did not have a strong presence within the government . This was implemented in
1787, long before talk of Civil War would begin. Fast forward three decades, another rift began to
spread across America. The Missouri Compromise. At this point in time, slavery was a hot topic. More
people spoke openly about their opinions on the topic and that was met with opposition. With the
expansion of American territory, there was the decision of if slavery would be allowed or not in the
new territories. Missouri was brought into the nation as a slave state while Maine entered as a free
state. The compromise on this though, was that no slave state shall enter into the Union above the 36
30 line . It was James Monroe to sign this bill into effect. In another three decades, the Compromise of
1850 would wipe out all evidence of the Missouri Compromise. 1850 had five major

Life Development At Trinity Lutheran School
Nealy is eight years old and is going to be a third grader at Trinity Lutheran School in Janesville,
Minnesota this September. She turned eight years old on May 22nd, 2015. She is the oldest in her
family. She has two younger brothers ages six and four. Nealy hit all the developmental milestones
while growing up. She has never incurred any health problems; her vision and hearing are great.
However, she can have selective hearing at times according to her mother.
Her mother received a BS in Child Life Development at MSU and her father earned a Business
Management of Sales at Rasmussen. Her mother never had any educational problems while she went

struggle at school, he had to repeat 2nd Grade. Nealy s mom didn t know that her husband struggled
with reading until Nealy was born. At night when Nealy s dad would read to her, he would skip over
words and would sound extremely choppy. According to Nealy s mother, her husband claims he can

5p Syndrome Research Paper
Cat Cry Syndrome (5p) Do you know anyone with a genetic disorder? Cri Du Chat Syndrome, which
translates to cry of the cat syndrome in french, is a genetic disorder which is diagnosed when you re
missing your 5th chromosome. Cri du chat, or 5p syndrome is not inherited, but is a random event.
Doctors cannot treat or heal patients with 5p syndrome but there is therapy. There are numerous
symptoms. It s found in all cultural backgrounds and happens in every 1 to 50,000 newborns.

The cat like cry is the most prominent feature and is usually one of the key factors in diagnosing it.
The chromosomes can also be analyzed and they can find the missing or misplaced chromosome. In
this case they would find that the fifth chromosome is missing. They can also do a more detailed test
called the FISH test. FISH stands for Fluorescent in Situ Hybridization, it can detect the deletion.
Who has this disorder: A commonly asked question for all genetic disorders is Who get s it ? The
answer is simple. Anyone can be born with 5p syndrome. 5p syndrome is not more prominent in any
group of people. Since it is a random event that happens in the fetal development it can happen in all
cultures, genders, and ethnicities. It happens in every 1 in 20,000 to 50,000 newborns and isn t very
common.
Inheritance: Cri Du Chat syndrome is not sex linked. It is caused by the deletion of the 5th
chromosome so it can happen to boys and girls. There is also no particular chromosome it is located
on. It s not on a chromosome it s a genetic disorder that is caused by a missing chromosome. It is also
neither dominant or recessive, the reason being that it is not inherited because it is a random

Impact Of Fossil Fuels On Our Planet
THE IMPACT FOSSIL FUELS HAVE ON OUR PLANET
Oil reserves are found all over the world. Some reserves produced more oil than others. Saudi Arabia,
Russia, the United States, Iran, and China are the top oil producing countries (U.S. Department of
Energy, 2013). Petroleum is produced in 31 states throughout the United States (U.S. Department of
Energy, 2013). Texas, Alaska, California, Louisiana, and Oklahoma are the states that produce the
most petroleum (U.S. Department of Energy, 2013). It is used to fuel most cars in the United States,
but petroleum is also used to make many more products that we use on a daily basis (U.S. Department
of Energy, 2013). A majority of petroleum is turned into an energy source. Petroleum can be used to
make heating oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and propane, in addition to making gasoline (U.S. Department of
Energy, 2013). It can also be turned into petrochemical feedstock, which is derived from petroleum
principally for the manufacturing of chemicals, synthetic rubber, and plastics (U.S. Department of
Energy, 2013). It is used to make many common household products, such as crayons, dishwashing
liquids, deodorant, eyeglasses, tires, and ammonia (U.S. Department of Energy, 2013).
The United States need for petroleum surpasses the amount it can produce; meaning, a majority of our
oil (roughly 60 percent) must be imported from foreign countries (U.S. Department of Energy, 2013).
Canada is the country we import the most oil from, followed by Saudi

Cal Polyy s Production Of The Crucible
Last week, I attended Cal Poly s production of the Crucible that was shown in Spanos Theatre. The
original playwright is Arthur Miller; In the school s adaption of the play, it was directed by Heidi L.

the element that especially stood out was the set design. Pegi Marshall, the Scenic and Lighting
designer, did an excellent job in setting the arrangement of the props and overall structure of the set.
The small details added were notable because they boosted the overall success of the play by working
hand in hand with other elements to make the play stronger. At first glance, tree limbs were carefully

Bring You Down Research Paper
There will always be someone who wants to bring you down. Some individuals want to find every
imperfection that you have to make you feel bad about yourself. In an instant, people can destroy your
confidence and make sure that you feel as if you can t succeed at anything. Why do people have to
tear people down and view them with no worth? I believe the main reason that people tear others
down is because they are unhappy with themselves.
Why do people have to afflict others? I think they do these harsh actions in order to feel better about
themselves. Individuals will find faults in other people and exploit them because they want to feel
better about themselves. They desire a sense of power, even though it is only for a short time. Some

Being Chinese Vietnamese American
Being Chinese Vietnamese American, I have always seen myself as being very unique. In addition to
celebrating the Western holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year s, and
Valentine s Day, my family celebrates our mixture of Chinese and Vietnamese cultures with two other
big holidays: Lunar New Year and Mid Autumn Moon Festival. Although many cultures celebrate
holidays differently, one thing is always consistent in most of these celebrations: the important role of
food.
When I was a toddler, my family visited Vietnam for the first time together. It was the also the first
time my mom returned since she got married and immigrated to the United States. We arrived around
the time of the Mid Autumn Festival that summer. The humid streets swelled with clusters of vendors
selling handmade paper lanterns, small candles, vibrant colored toys, and a variety of cakes.
Mooncakes, or BĂĄnh Trung Thu, is the Vietnamese name for the Chinese influenced bakery delight
traditionally eaten during the Mid Autumn Festival. A key to the festival s celebration in addition to
lunar worship and moon watching, was enjoying with family and friends an indispensable delicacy
with sips of warm tea. My aunt bought me a mooncake in the shape of a cute piglet. Being twice the
size of my hands combined, I happily cupped the clear plastic container tied together by a small red
ribbon. After anxiously skipping home with Mister Piggy (see Figure 2), I swiftly untied the red

Research Paper On Post Modernism
Post modernism The second part of this essay is devoted to post modernism. I have chosen two
periods of Modernism and Post Modernism as they are so much interconnected, the further
development of modernism resulted in forming another movement in art, called as post modernism.
The word post modernism is over used nowadays and it gives the impression of being just nothing
behind the popular buzzword. Although, it is a separate movement, which has a number of
commonalities with modernism art, but at the same time has significantly different characteristics.
[12]
The world started to talk about post modern in literature in 50s, after the end of Second World War.
There was a strong historical background that influenced the authors. The rapid evolution of tensions
between the nations into of cold war, up growth of manufacturing leading to overconsumption,
Chinese Cultural Revolution, devastation after using US atom bombs in Japan, rapid development of
ICT and it is effect on the human communication, development of multi corporations, mass media
gaining the great importance in the society, all these could not leave the world of art without the
reaction. All these new phenomena formed the new way of perception. [13]
In post modern the denial of previous norms continues, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In modernism it started with the presenting ambiguity of the texts. In post modernism intertextuality
developed into two dimensions: horizontal (writer reader relation) and vertical (one text to another
text relation). Post modernism doesn t hide the fact the texts are constructed, and sees the values of the
text in text s place in the network of texts. Borges, the key figure in Spanish speaking modern
literature, writes that The certitude that everything has been written negates us or turns us into
phantoms . [15] This becomes one of the core statements of post modernism: everything has been
already written .

Social Media in Marketing Strategy
Social Media in Marketing Strategy
Introduction
The internet technologies have made dramatic impacts on the traditional marketing activities over the
past decade. Especially, the boom of social media technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs and
so on in recent years, which are fundamentally revolutionizing the ways in which people socialise and
exchange information on a daily basis. The YouTube video clip Gangnam Style by South Korean
singer, Park Jae sang (2012) generated millions of views and made him a worldwide superstar

And most influential of them all, the interactive forms like Facebook and Twitter can be utilised as a
platform to engage customers in active conversations with the brand. Due to the grouping of users
with mutual backgrounds as well as general interests, a liked or shared content among friends would
attract more and more people to join the conversation. Therefore, companies would be able to gain
insights into how the brand is perceived in the targeted customers minds. Benefits of Social Media
To start with, social media channels greatly amplify the effect of word of mouth (WOM) marketing.
Unlike traditional advertising campaigns, WOM communications are generated purely based on the
customer experiences as opposed to being paid to promote a particular brand. Therefore, when it
comes to make purchase decisions on an unfamiliar brand, the suggestions by a close friend who is
likely to share the same interests become a reliable and convincing source of reference (Cheema and
Kaikati, 2010). Gershoff and Johar (2006) states that consumers frequently depend on others for
purchasing opinions of intended products, especially those with great financial and psychic risk.
Several studies (Godes amp; Mayzlin, 2004; Trusov et al., 2009; Herr et al., 1991) have illustrated that
WOM communications are more effective and efficient than the traditional marketing channels. Social
media provides the modern

When it is found in children, which is rare, it is usually anxiety and worry about their competence or

concern to another. There are many different interpretations of this disorder based on different type of

perspective, humanistic perspective, cognitive perspective, and biological perspective, though the
most influential in the treatment of GAD are the biological and cognitive perspectives. The cognitive
perspective often describe psychological problems as dysfunctional ways of thinking. There are many
cognitive symptoms but one major one includes excessive worry which is a key characteristic of
GAD. One assumption is the maladaptive assumption. One psychologist, Albert Ellis, discussed that
many people are guided by irrational beliefs which leads them to act in irrational ways. He called

The Navajo Long Walk And The Navajo Nation
What molds a nation or group of people? As a member of the Navajo Nation, I ve wondered how our
history has impacted our nation. This research paper is a reflection of my curiosity. Throughout this
paper I will explain how The Navajo Long Walk and The 1868 Treaty of Bosque Redondo contributed
in shaping what the Navajo Nation today. During the mid 19th century tensions with the Navajo, U.S.
government, and white settlers were tense. The third wave of the Navajo Wars would ultimately lead
to the U.S. government s decision to create a campaign against the Navajo and thus impose the Navajo
Long Walk (Brooks 95). General Carleton, a U.S. Army General, had Kit Carson, the well known
Indian fighter, deliver his demands to the Navajo, he said, Say to them: Go to Bosque Redondo or we
will pursue and destroy you. We will not make peace with you on any terms. You have deceived us too
often and robbed and murdered our people too long to trust you at large in your own country. (Acrey
39). Thus, in 1864, Navajo people were forcibly removed by the U.S. federal government from their
traditional homelands to eastern New Mexico. U.S. Army records indicate that at least 11,468 Navajos
were forced to walk three hundred to five hundred miles to the internment camp called Bosque
Redondo (Spanish translation is Round Forest) or Fort Sumner (Cheek 18). For four years, Navajo
people were forced to stay in Bosque Redondo where starvation, disease, and restriction of their
culture was prevalent.

on three drinks in particular, rum, coffee, and tea, an enormous story can be told. Those three drinks
impacted the world in many ways, especially the cultures that consumed or traded them. In order to
produce Rum, many Africans were brought to the Americas to work in servitude. This caused a culture
shift, because now you had two very different cultures working closely together, but one was
considered superior to the other. Coffee sparked the emergence of enlightened thinkers, whose
conversations and writings profoundly shaped European culture. Tea helped Britain retain the colossal
empire they are often credited with. This is because of a secondary effect of tea as it helped to create
the British Empire, which in turn impacted the world colossally. Coffee, tea, and rum catapulted the
world into major cultural shifts.
During the 17th and 18th centuries when rum was introduced the culture in the Americas and Britain
became one of unenlightened and drunken people. Before rum, all that most Europeans had to drink
was disease ridden water and beer. Rum was a happy medium between the two drinks. Rum had more
alcohol content than beer, and had more flavor than water, so it pleased the masses greatly. However,
since Rum did have a higher alcohol content, it left the population in a

Sexualized Asian Women
Among the many issues that affect the Asian American community today, one that stands out to me is
the hyper sexualization of Asian women. Unlike the depiction of awkward, asexual Asian men, Asian
women are stereotyped as highly venereal beings. Both labels are problems, but this paper focuses on
the issue facing females in this community. Their sexuality stems from depictions of ...being petite,
exotic, and eager to please and serve men (Fong 2007). Additionally, two big components for their sex
appeal come from the dragon lady and China doll characters that Asian women have been portrayed as
in media. However, the origins of the hyper sexualized Asian woman can be traced back to the first
wave of Chinese immigrants. Back in the mid nineteenth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, I specifically chose this topic because I have witnessed the hyper sexualization of an Asian
woman first hand. Someone that I know is in a relationship with an American man, and after spending
time with them and learning what I have from this class, I can clearly see how much he undervalues
her. He has even said things like, You should get yourself an Asian girl, and, Asian girls will treat you
well. Our interactions have made me realize that there are many issues that are not even limited to

The Life Of The World By Fr. Alexander Schmemann
For the Life of the World authored by Fr. Alexander Schmemann an Orthodox priest was originally
intended as a study guide in the 1970 s for students preparing themselves for Missionary work, giving
them a world view , helping to speak about Christian view points along with an approach to how they
coalesce through the eyes of the Orthodox Church. A key theme Fr. Schmemann discussed is
Secularism, which he believes developed from our progressive alienation of the Christian culture.
Additionally, he presents his interpretation of the transforming biblical themes of creation, fall, and
redemption through a sacramental understanding. Fr. Schmemann s experiences within the Orthodox
Church liturgy reveal unity in the meanings of these three themes. It is through these understandings
he believes can effectively offset the disastrous effects of secularism while revitalizing the sacramental
understanding of the world. The author divided the book into seven chapters, each building upon one
another; The Life of the world, The Eucharist, The Time of Mission, Of Water and the Spirit, The
Mystery of Love, Trampling Down death by death, and Ye Are Witnesses of These Things. Moreover,
two Appendices follow the chapters: Worship in a Secular Age and Sacraments and Symbol. In
particular, Fr. Schmemann opens by converging on the ostensibly minor theme of nourishment, even
quoting famed philosopher Ludwig Feuerbach s phrase. Man is what he eats. Anti religious groups

Taking a Look at Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is the most common type of carcinoma and the second leading cause of cancer death in
men, following carcinoma of the lung. The risk of developing prostate cancer increases with age,
beginning at age 50, and is also higher among African American men. The two highest age
subpopulations diagnosed are men 55 64 and 65 74 years of age, comprising 29.0% and 35.6% of all
prostate cancer diagnoses, respectively. The age adjusted incidence rate of prostate cancer is 159.3 per
100,000 men per year2. By race, black men have the highest incidence rate of this disease with an
incidence rate of 239.8 per 100,000 men, while Hispanic men have the lowest with a rate of 133.4 per
100,000 men. The death rate of African Americans is more than double that of any other race with a
mortality rate of 56 per 100,000 men2. Recent data indicates that cancer develops in 30% of black
men ages 50 59 and in 39% of black men 60 692. This is in contrast to 8% of black men developing it
between the ages of 40 and 49. Similar data has been shown for men with a family history . The age
adjusted death rate from prostate cancer has fortunately decreased by 3.4% between 2001 and 2006
and the lifetime risk of developing prostate cancer is 15.9% for American men (i.e. 1 in every 6 men)

Though relatively prevalent, the death rate of prostate cancer is lower than that of lung cancer in men
because of, among many other reasons, its slow natural course . Prostate cancer is a very

The Warren Court And The Supreme Court
In 1953, Chief Justice Earl Warren ascended to the Supreme Court after the death of former Chief
Justice Fred M. Vinson. Chief Justice Warren led the Supreme Court, most notably during the 1960s,
which were already a time of great social and governmental change. He, along with the rest of the
justices on his court, helped to shape both the both the court and the country during this time in
dramatic and long lasting ways. The Warren Court took place during a period of rapid change in
American history, leading it to produce many impactful decisions that influenced the course of federal
and state laws for decades, as it took a judicial activist stance on how it approached decision making
in cases regarding civil rights, the right to privacy, criminal due process, voting rights and election
law, as well as the first amendment. The Warren Court led the judicial system in the United States for
sixteen years, with 17 justices total, although its most impactful version existed between 1962 and
1969. The court heard and ruled upon 197 cases in total during its tenure, many of which dramatically
shaped or created legal precedent. This court is best known for its expansive federal control at what
was seen as at the expense of states rights and its heavy judicial activism, enhancing the Bill of Rights.
Chief Justice Earl Warren, in his control over the court, tried his best to make sure to limit the

Death of General Wolfe Essay
Analysis of The Death of General Wolfe by Benjamin West
In 1770, artist Benjamin Wolfe completed what would become his most controversial and talked about
piece of artwork, an oil on canvas painting titled The Death of General Wolfe, the purpose of which
was to teach a moral lesson. The Death of General Wolfe portrays the Battle of Quebec, but more
specifically it details the moment when Major General James Wolfe was on his deathbed shortly after
the British had driven the French away in victory. Although this piece is considered to be historical
since it details a true event, the details in it prove to be fabricated for the sake of art. Benjamin West

The fact that the clouds are passing by and opening can represent two things. The first is that it can be
a symbol of General Wolfe, and as the clouds pass over head, his soul will similarly pass over and die.
Second is that the passing clouds can be viewed as a sign of hope that the battle is now over and
people can live peacefully. One other piece of symbolism is the flag behind General Wolfe, which
serves as a directional force. Since it is pointed at both General Wolfe and the sky, it signifies the fact
that Wolfe s soul will go up onto Heaven. The colors in this piece are instrumental in moving the eye
across the piece and drawing attention to specific parts of the piece. For instance, for the most part, the
colors that are used are dark. However, to emphasize General Wolfe, the focal point in the middle, his
outfit is painted in a brighter red and yellow and the ground beneath him is light as well. Also, in order
to allow the eye to glide across the painting almost all of the soldier s uniforms are red, creating
rhythm. One solider, who is apparently rushing into see Wolfe, is painted in green, which is the
complimentary color to red. The use of complimentary colors brings the eyes attention to the panicked
solider, emphasizing the overall sense of urgency in the piece. The piece is also well balanced and
uses appropriate scales and proportions. Overall I think West was successful in his piece. I admire the

Human Characteristics Of Danann
The Tuatha DĂ© Danann were among the mythical races who inhabited Ireland before the advent of the
ancestors of modern Gael known as Gaels. Tuatha DĂ© Danann were the posterities of goddess Danu
(Clark 371). They were also a race of heroes and deities. When Tuatha DĂ© Danann arrived, Ireland
was far from unoccupied. They were the fifth group to settle in Ireland. Some of the settlers were
human whereas others such as Danann were more than mortal ranging from descendants of other Gods
to spirits of the land. According to The Ages of the World the first settlers in Ireland was a race of men
before the Biblical Flood, and they have led a woman known as Cessair who was alleged to be Noah s
daughter. The flood killed all of them apart from Fintan mac Bochra who able to escape by changing
into a salmon. Danann bear both human and divine characteristics.

When Tuatha DĂ© Danann landed in Ireland, dense clouds masked their arrival. The druids (Tuatha s
religious leaders) blew rain clouds and fog over the entire island. The blown clouds released fire and
torrent of blood upon Fir Bolgs which caused them to hide in sheltered areas for three nights and three
days. The Fir Bolgs religious leaders cleared the air by carrying out the magic spell. Lastly, the two
races declared a 105 days truce so as to provide sufficient time for both sides to prepare for war. By

Health Benefits Of Medicaid Recipients
Thousands of Medicare recipients are admitted to the hospital on a daily basis. The majority of
admissions are not preventable, but research and studies have shown that patients discharged from
varying hospitals are more likely to be readmitted to a hospital (Jencks, et al., 2009; Epstein, A et al.,
2011). With increased quality of care, hospitals can prevent readmissions while decreasing Medicare
costs. For Medicare, readmissions are defined as an admission to an acute care hospital within 30 days
of discharge from an acute care hospital (Horwitz, L. et al, 2011). Factors affecting unplanned
readmissions vary greatly among providers and geographical region, and are opportunities increase
quality and coordination of care, thus improving health outcomes. In 2005, the Medicare Payment
Advisory Commission (MedPAC) conducted the Medicare Claim Finding analysis; MedPAC surveyed
hospital Medicaid claims to analyze their hospital readmission data. This research from MedPAC
showed that 75% of Medicare admissions were preventable and 17.6% of Medicare admissions
resulted with a readmission within 30 days (MedPAC, 2011). Furthermore, this large percentage of
preventable admissions were taking a toll on payers financially. The cost of these 75% preventable
readmissions amounted to fifteen billion dollars (MedPAC, 2011). This data raises concern regarding
the financial burden of unnecessary admissions as well as quality issues. Due to the high cost and
decreased quality of hospital

about its products, so secretive that not even the workers know what they are working on. This gives
Apple a leg up on competitors, when they came up with the iPhone design nobody knew what they

product similar. Apple is not like every other company in the same market, like Microsoft, instead they

Microsoft for example has to get other companies to create hardware or software to be compatible
with its products. Apple operates within its self, making it the firm to beat. Google is still going

the amount of programs they run. , just to name a few: Gmail, Google apps, Google maps,

Project on Ultrasound
1.1 INTRODUCTION: The human ear can hear the sound waves between 20 Hz to 20 kHz. This
frequency range is known as Audio Frequency Range . The sound waves having frequencies above
this audible range is known as Ultrasonic Waves or Supersonic Waves . Supersonic waves have the
velocities higher than the velocity of sound i.e. more than 1200 km / hour. Ultrasonic waves can not be
heard by a human being but a cat or dog may hear them. The wavelengths of ultrasonic waves are very
small as compared to audible sound. The sound waves which have frequencies less than 20 Hz range

Using same principle as used in RADAR waves for measuring distance can be used. This is called as
SONAR. A special type of transducer called the hydrophone (under water microphone) has been
developed for this purpose. It is capable of producing pulsed beam ultrasonic waves hence can be used
as transmitter as well as a receiver. The depth of the sea is found by recording the time that elapses
between emission of ultrasonic waves reception from the bottom of the sea. However, it has been
observed that the reception of this man made noise is rendered difficult by the existence of other
underwater sound. This under water sound arises due to following sources: a. Thermal Noise: this
limits the threshold sensitivity of the hydrophone for use above approximately 50 kHz is of particular
significance in deep water. This arises due to molecular agitation of the medium itself. b. Sea Surface
Noise: This causes difficulties in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 50 kHz. It is mainly due to the
surface waves varies in intensity with sea state. But even rain can raise the under water noise by as

The Power Of The War
According to Article One, Section Eight, Congress has the power To declare war, grant letters of
marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water; This means that Congress
must be consulted before going to war and has the power to not only declare war, but also the power
to raise an army and navy, to fund war effort; however, the President, in Article II, is named
commander in chief of the armed forces, but this does not give him the power to commit armed forces
to war.
Although the Constitution grants Congress the power to declare war, there has been much debate
about who should actually have the power to wage war. Often times, Congress is argued to be the
better fit because the decision made will be well thought out, democratic, and promote international
harmony. The other side of the argument states the the president should be the one to wage war. Even
Alexander Hamilton stated that Presidents should conduct war, because they could act with decision,
activity, secrecy and dispatch. Presidents also can make a quick decision without waiting on Congress
and their disagreements due to the fact that foreign affairs can often be unpredictable. The president
must act as a strong leader in a national crisis to instill trust within the public. Though either side may
sound appealing, they both have drawbacks. Congress can garner too many opinions, certain seat
holders don t want to make a decision that could possibly jeopardize re election, and

Western Culture And Its Influence On Modern Culture
Institutions, or groups or societies formed from similar interests and ideas, have become a
commonality in modern society. Politics, acadamia, even specialized groups to the minutia of specific,
singular beliefs or ideas dominate today s American society and these examples barely begin to
scratch the surface of institution s influence on America. This is not to say that the prevalence of these
institutions is not specific to the United States culture, but present in all cultures labeled as inherently
western. The concept of institution is an idea constructed by humans, and as a human construct, the
idea must have implemented itself successfully into human culture to be present today. Western

As a religion still practiced today, the text s influence on people is clear. An institution requires a
unifying factor between those involved. The Torah explicitly details the Jewish ideology and beliefs
something needed in any successful institution. After the creation of this text, the unifying concepts
that can result from an idea are present. Without this unification, this text s influence and practice
would not occur today. What can be inferred from this text is the actual creation of institutions that
support the practice or action of a single group or people. This constructed idea of an institution is
crucial in the development of western society because it allows for positions of power to arise from
said belief, and these positions of power eventually become the most influential. The most important
text in the development of Western Society, The Bible, is like previous examples. The development
from myth (or hereafter religion), to organized grouping, to a mode of power can be summed up in the
influence of The Bible. Somewhere throughout history, an individual or group realized the influence
of a religion on a group of people. In getting a group to believe something as explicit and detailed as
this text is, having these followers support an agenda that, on the surface parallels their beliefs, but in
reality is a power ploy by those in high positions, creates an environment that breeds influence and

Asian Tigers Vs. South Korea
INTRODUCTION
The Asian tigers are four countries named Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan. These
states were highly developed countries. These countries were the first states that shifted to
industrialization. All the four Asian tigers have a lot of people who are very educated and are perfect
in undertaking their tasks. These countries developed and implemented different policies and this
result in economic prosperity and tried to do them than any other state. For instance, Hong Kong and
Singapore became the masters of international finance while South Korea became perfect in
information technology. The four Asian tigers had maintained high economic growth since 1960,
fuelled by export to developed countries and rapid industrialization, which enabled these economies to
join the ranks of world s richest nations.
The four Asian Tigers turned out to be an imperative role model for many of the developing countries
and these countries include the Tiger Cub Economies comprising of Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines
and Thailand. Subsequent to the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis and the western Financial Crisis of 2007
2008, at the time there was a continuing decline in GDP (Gross Domestic Product market assessment

The gym where I practice to win, the YMCA, is a place where I know who I am. It is a place I can go

hardwood floor. As I lace up my basketball shoes, I notice the details of the floor. Small stones and
dirt have been driven into the wood panels. Scuff marks were left from shoes in black, red, and white.
A few dents and engravings are displayed proudly, like an old soldier showing off his battle scars. The
paint on the floor is fading, its shiny luster long gone. Details like these are not noticeable during a
practice or gym class. These small details have slowly emerged after many summer mornings and
Sunday afternoons of dedicated practice. Once I am wearing the ideal basketball attire, I stand up and

fingertips to my hand. Each bounce of the ball makes a sound heard distinctively in the silent stillness.

Who Is Anne Shirley A Dynamic Character
Both Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery and Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese focus on
the troubled past of the protagonist characters, and the influence their personal histories have on the
growth and development of the individuals as they enter adulthood and come to terms with
themselves. A great milestone in the transition between childhood and adulthood is self acceptance,
and learning from your past. Anne of Green Gables tells the story of Anne Shirley, a young romanticist
who struggles to find balance between her lively imagination and the realities of growing up. Anne

Identify And Explain The Factors That Cause Changes In...
The three factors that caused Galetown to have more severe rainstrorms this summer than in previous
years are stronger winds, higher temperature and the new lake. First of all, stronger winds push the air
parcels (An amount of air that moves as a unit) higher up in the troposphere. The higher the air parcel
is in the troposphere, the colder it is. This will cause a greater energy transfer from the parcel to the
surrounding air allowing them to become the same temperature and having condensation occurs. This
will soon fall out as rain. In the chart, it tells us that in storms 3 and 4 that all factors are the same
before the storm such as the surface water (high) and the temperatures are close enough to not make a
significant difference. But the wind ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the air parcel rises in the troposphere, the more energy transfer. The reason why the energy
transfers is because the water vapor must have an equivalent temp to the surrounding air. More energy
causes it to have more evaporation transferring more water vapor to the surrounding air. As the energy
transfer occurs, the water vapor gets through condensation and turns to liquid water. The higher the
parcel gets, the colder it is in the surrounding air which causes the water to condense and come out as
rain. This is important because when the temperature of the air parcel is higher, it will rise higher in
the troposphere and the higher the cloud is in the troposphere, the more rain that will fall. Also, the
modeling tool tells us that storms 2 and 3 had all the same factors ( water vapor, troposphere
temperature and surface water) but, the parcel temperature, was higher in storm 3 which caused it to

End of Case Assignments: Suggested Discussions and Analyses
A. Describe Eco Products early history (1990 through 2003). Would you view the firm during that
period as being a life style business, an entrepreneurial venture, or? Why?
Steve Savage and his father founded the company in 1990 with the intent to provide eco friendly paper
and janitorial supplies. They chose to locate the business in Boulder, Colorado, a community known
for its support of environmental initiatives and natural products. However, consumers were slow to
adopt eco friendly products. Margins were low and salaries were small. Friends and family supplied

Dual phase steel has a microstructure which consists of two phases, Ferrite and Martensite (Fig.1).
Generally, DP600 steels have a tensile strength of around 600 MPa and total elongation of about 20
25% (Fig2). The tensile strength of DP600 steel can vary from 580 670 MPa.Write uses ???????.
Other advantages of DP600 steels are better work hardening and bake hardening properties with
excellent fatigue strength.

There are three basic approaches by which DP steels are produced commercially:
1. During the hot rolling cycles, only dual phases can be formed.
2. Hot or cold rolled strip is uncoiled, and continuous annealing is done at the Intercritical annealing
temperature.
3. Batch annealing could also be done. Hot or cold rolled strip is annealed under coiled condition.

How To Avoid The Mongols
The Mongols made multiple attempts to take control if the Indian Subcontinent, but they were always
halted by the Delhi Sultanate. The Mongols were persistent in their attacks on Indian peninsula, with
the first attack being launched during the reign of Emperor Ilitmish. Everyone knew about the
brutality and strength of the Mongols, it was considered that provoking the Mongol fury [was] inviting
disaster . When Jalāl al dīn of KhwÀriz, the last ruler of Khwarezmian Empire fled from Genghis
Khan, he asked for asylum from Emperor Ilitmish of the Delhi Sultanate. Ilitmish refused asylum in
the hope of earning Genghis Khan s good faith . Another form to avoid the Mongols was to forge

Patagonia Another Way of Doing Business
1 Introduction Patagonia was founded in 1957 by Yvon Chouinard who defines himself as a reluctant
business man. He started his business as a way to climb and surf year long, seeking to build the best
product to satisfy his passion. Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to
inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis. Patagonia s Mission Statement Patagonia
grew out of a small company that made tools for climbers. Alpinism remains at the heart of a
worldwide business that still makes clothes for climbing as well as for skiing, snowboarding, surfing,
fly fishing, paddling and trail running. Customers are willing to pay a premium for the Patagonia
brand and environmental ethic. The company s goal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Today with the Common Threads Initiative they are pursuing the exact same philosophy and trying to
push the industry to adopt more ethical business behaviors. Patagonia s highly public search for a new
way of doing business implies a new kind of relationship with customers, reinforced by unconditional
guarantees, extremely high product quality and an explicit commitment to ethical codes of behavior
(Reinhardt, 2000). For Yvon Chouinard Patagonia is a business experiment, one of his goals is to run
the company so it s here 100 years from now and always makes the best quality products. Yet he finds
that concern for quality and sustainability doesn t pose a conflict with running a highly successful
business. Every time we do the right thing, our profits go up (Chouinard, 2005). Patagonia is the
perfect example of successful business with high ethics standard, it has led the company to enjoy an
unrivaled reputation among outdoor aficionados, and its green philosophy is gaining broader appeal as
more people embrace sustainable consumption. 6 References Chouinard, Y. (2005). Let My People Go

The Concept Of Automation
Shrinking budgets, shortage of qualified personnel and growing workloads are shaping the
organization of clinical laboratories and the networks around them. As a result, merging and
consolidation of institutions is commonplace to take advantage of economies of scale and as a result,
laboratory automation has been in the rise connecting more sectors to tracks.
A key question to answer is what is the level automation system is right for each clinical laboratory?
Automation can improve lab s efficiency and help clinical outcomes. . However, each center must
value its own objectives of automation for each sector and define if they will require modular type
automation systems or automation.
The concept of a consolidated laboratory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this sense, a definition of automation would include the use of combined and computer set, robotics
and the analyzers to manipulate the samples before, during and after measurements.
The automation of the laboratory, in the broad sense, affects all stages of the analytical process. This
means that new organizational approaches ranging from automation of individual processes to
reorganization projects and total automation. Between both situations there are an important variety of
scenarios that lead to models of laboratory.
Total laboratory automation (TLA) involves the integration of analyzers together with pre analytic and
post analytic. The work of a total automation system begins by managing the samples in an input
module that classifies and loads them in the carriers, centrifuges tubes, uncaps them and direct them to
the analyzers. The samples, after sampled by the analyzer are stored temporarily in dedicated output
location, from where they may be automatically recovered in case it rerun or reflex testing in
necessary.
The automation of clinical laboratories, when done properly and in accordance with to the needs of
each center, provides benefits that include an efficient increase in productivity, the possibility of
adding new analytical procedures without increasing the resources human, the centralization of
processes, reliable management of samples with full traceability, the standardization of the analytical
process, a greater guarantee of

School Lunch Choices
The majority of children in schools are lacking nutrition critical to get through the day, especially if
they are going to practice right after school. This is why, as an active, hungry student; I believe that we
should be able to have multiply choices for lunch. When yes, we do have the portion sizes required by
the state, children should not have to go home from school hungry. Also, not everyone likes certain
foods they serve for lunch, and with more than one main food choice, everyone is bound to find
something they like. This is why I think that we should expand the lunch choices. Our school currently
has very small food portions. I surveyed ten random kids in junior high and high school and nine out
of the ten said they would pay at

  • 6. The And New England Colonies Everyone has an external force that motivates them in some way that allows them to be able to go about their everyday lives and fulfill their ambitions. Within the years of 1580 and 1763 this force took the form of God. Around this same time was when the Chesapeake and New England colonies were in the process of being founded. As a result, these two settlements did nothing without referencing their actions to God. Due to this heavy focus on God as the reason behind every aspect of their lives, chaos began to sprout soon after the settlers began settling and started living their new lives in the colonies. Since the colonist believed that God dictated their entire lives; they never felt that they were in the wrong. Not once did the colonists stop to think that they had no right to steal the natives land. If God had not smitten them, then they thought that God approved of what they were doing. In this case, the colonists were in the process of acquiring land that the earth bringeth foorth all things in aboundance, as in the first creation, without toile or labour... the most plentifull, sweete, fruitfull, and wholesome [soil] of all the world . The new land that the colonists wanted to take appeared similar to the Garden of Eden. • 7. The Causes Of Slavery In North America Slavery in North America first began when the first African slaves arrived in the American colony of Jamestown in 1619. They were first used to aid in the production of the American cash crop tobacco. From that point, white land owners depended greatly on the work of slaves. This did not seem an issue at the time but as more people came over to the Americas and more people developed their own ideas of freedom, a silent war broke within the country. The first great schism, the first act of cold war, was the 3/5 Compromise in which it was decided that an African servant was only counted as 3/5 of a person and therefore did not have a strong presence within the government . This was implemented in 1787, long before talk of Civil War would begin. Fast forward three decades, another rift began to spread across America. The Missouri Compromise. At this point in time, slavery was a hot topic. More people spoke openly about their opinions on the topic and that was met with opposition. With the expansion of American territory, there was the decision of if slavery would be allowed or not in the new territories. Missouri was brought into the nation as a slave state while Maine entered as a free state. The compromise on this though, was that no slave state shall enter into the Union above the 36 30 line . It was James Monroe to sign this bill into effect. In another three decades, the Compromise of 1850 would wipe out all evidence of the Missouri Compromise. 1850 had five major ... In addition to celebrating the Western holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year s, and Valentine s Day, my family celebrates our mixture of Chinese and Vietnamese cultures with two other big holidays: Lunar New Year and Mid Autumn Moon Festival. Although many cultures celebrate holidays differently, one thing is always consistent in most of these celebrations: the important role of food. When I was a toddler, my family visited Vietnam for the first time together. It was the also the first time my mom returned since she got married and immigrated to the United States. We arrived around the time of the Mid Autumn Festival that summer. The humid streets swelled with clusters of vendors selling handmade paper lanterns, small candles, vibrant colored toys, and a variety of cakes. Mooncakes, or BĂĄnh Trung Thu, is the Vietnamese name for the Chinese influenced bakery delight traditionally eaten during the Mid Autumn Festival. A key to the festival s celebration in addition to lunar worship and moon watching, was enjoying with family and friends an indispensable delicacy with sips of warm tea. Due to the grouping of users with mutual backgrounds as well as general interests, a liked or shared content among friends would attract more and more people to join the conversation. Therefore, companies would be able to gain insights into how the brand is perceived in the targeted customers minds. Benefits of Social Media To start with, social media channels greatly amplify the effect of word of mouth (WOM) marketing. Unlike traditional advertising campaigns, WOM communications are generated purely based on the customer experiences as opposed to being paid to promote a particular brand. Therefore, when it comes to make purchase decisions on an unfamiliar brand, the suggestions by a close friend who is likely to share the same interests become a reliable and convincing source of reference (Cheema and Kaikati, 2010). Gershoff and Johar (2006) states that consumers frequently depend on others for purchasing opinions of intended products, especially those with great financial and psychic risk. Several studies (Godes amp; Mayzlin, 2004; Trusov et al., 2009; Herr et al., 1991) have illustrated that WOM communications are more effective and efficient than the traditional marketing channels. • 21. The Navajo Long Walk And The Navajo Nation What molds a nation or group of people? As a member of the Navajo Nation, I ve wondered how our history has impacted our nation. This research paper is a reflection of my curiosity. Throughout this paper I will explain how The Navajo Long Walk and The 1868 Treaty of Bosque Redondo contributed in shaping what the Navajo Nation today. During the mid 19th century tensions with the Navajo, U.S. government, and white settlers were tense. The third wave of the Navajo Wars would ultimately lead to the U.S. government s decision to create a campaign against the Navajo and thus impose the Navajo Long Walk (Brooks 95). General Carleton, a U.S. Army General, had Kit Carson, the well known Indian fighter, deliver his demands to the Navajo, he said, Say to them: Go to Bosque Redondo or we will pursue and destroy you. We will not make peace with you on any terms. You have deceived us too often and robbed and murdered our people too long to trust you at large in your own country. (Acrey 39). Thus, in 1864, Navajo people were forcibly removed by the U.S. federal government from their traditional homelands to eastern New Mexico. U.S. Army records indicate that at least 11,468 Navajos were forced to walk three hundred to five hundred miles to the internment camp called Bosque Redondo (Spanish translation is Round Forest) or Fort Sumner (Cheek 18). For four years, Navajo people were forced to stay in Bosque Redondo where starvation, disease, and restriction of their culture was prevalent. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Coffee, Tea, And Tea The history of the world can be viewed through six drinks, beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea, and Coca Cola, as told in the book A History of the World in Six Glasses by Tom Standage. However, focusing on three drinks in particular, rum, coffee, and tea, an enormous story can be told. Those three drinks impacted the world in many ways, especially the cultures that consumed or traded them. In order to produce Rum, many Africans were brought to the Americas to work in servitude. This caused a culture shift, because now you had two very different cultures working closely together, but one was considered superior to the other. Coffee sparked the emergence of enlightened thinkers, whose conversations and writings profoundly shaped European culture. Tea helped Britain retain the colossal empire they are often credited with. This is because of a secondary effect of tea as it helped to create the British Empire, which in turn impacted the world colossally. Coffee, tea, and rum catapulted the world into major cultural shifts. During the 17th and 18th centuries when rum was introduced the culture in the Americas and Britain became one of unenlightened and drunken people. Before rum, all that most Europeans had to drink was disease ridden water and beer. Rum was a happy medium between the two drinks. Rum had more alcohol content than beer, and had more flavor than water, so it pleased the masses greatly. However, since Rum did have a higher alcohol content, it left the population in a ... • 24. The Life Of The World By Fr. Alexander Schmemann For the Life of the World authored by Fr. Alexander Schmemann an Orthodox priest was originally intended as a study guide in the 1970 s for students preparing themselves for Missionary work, giving them a world view , helping to speak about Christian view points along with an approach to how they coalesce through the eyes of the Orthodox Church. A key theme Fr. Schmemann discussed is Secularism, which he believes developed from our progressive alienation of the Christian culture. Additionally, he presents his interpretation of the transforming biblical themes of creation, fall, and redemption through a sacramental understanding. Fr. Schmemann s experiences within the Orthodox Church liturgy reveal unity in the meanings of these three themes. It is through these understandings he believes can effectively offset the disastrous effects of secularism while revitalizing the sacramental understanding of the world. The author divided the book into seven chapters, each building upon one another; The Life of the world, The Eucharist, The Time of Mission, Of Water and the Spirit, The Mystery of Love, Trampling Down death by death, and Ye Are Witnesses of These Things. Moreover, two Appendices follow the chapters: Worship in a Secular Age and Sacraments and Symbol. In particular, Fr. Death of General Wolfe Essay Analysis of The Death of General Wolfe by Benjamin West In 1770, artist Benjamin Wolfe completed what would become his most controversial and talked about piece of artwork, an oil on canvas painting titled The Death of General Wolfe, the purpose of which was to teach a moral lesson. The Death of General Wolfe portrays the Battle of Quebec, but more specifically it details the moment when Major General James Wolfe was on his deathbed shortly after the British had driven the French away in victory. The fact that the clouds are passing by and opening can represent two things. The first is that it can be a symbol of General Wolfe, and as the clouds pass over head, his soul will similarly pass over and die. Second is that the passing clouds can be viewed as a sign of hope that the battle is now over and people can live peacefully. One other piece of symbolism is the flag behind General Wolfe, which serves as a directional force. Since it is pointed at both General Wolfe and the sky, it signifies the fact that Wolfe s soul will go up onto Heaven. The colors in this piece are instrumental in moving the eye across the piece and drawing attention to specific parts of the piece. For instance, for the most part, the colors that are used are dark. However, to emphasize General Wolfe, the focal point in the middle, his outfit is painted in a brighter red and yellow and the ground beneath him is light as well. Also, in order to allow the eye to glide across the painting almost all of the soldier s uniforms are red, creating rhythm. The majority of admissions are not preventable, but research and studies have shown that patients discharged from varying hospitals are more likely to be readmitted to a hospital (Jencks, et al., 2009; Epstein, A et al., 2011). With increased quality of care, hospitals can prevent readmissions while decreasing Medicare costs. The Power Of The War According to Article One, Section Eight, Congress has the power To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water; This means that Congress must be consulted before going to war and has the power to not only declare war, but also the power to raise an army and navy, to fund war effort; however, the President, in Article II, is named commander in chief of the armed forces, but this does not give him the power to commit armed forces to war. Although the Constitution grants Congress the power to declare war, there has been much debate about who should actually have the power to wage war. Often times, Congress is argued to be the better fit because the decision made will be well thought out, democratic, and promote international harmony. The other side of the argument states the the president should be the one to wage war. Even Alexander Hamilton stated that Presidents should conduct war, because they could act with decision, activity, secrecy and dispatch. Presidents also can make a quick decision without waiting on Congress and their disagreements due to the fact that foreign affairs can often be unpredictable. When it does, I hear the impact of the basketball meeting my fingertips, and feel the smooth, bumpy surface of the basketball sending a shock from my fingertips to my hand. Each bounce of the ball makes a sound heard distinctively in the silent stillness. I then begin to dribble the ball to the end of the court. I quickly moved toward the far ... • 41. Who Is Anne Shirley A Dynamic Character Both Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery and Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese focus on the troubled past of the protagonist characters, and the influence their personal histories have on the growth and development of the individuals as they enter adulthood and come to terms with themselves. A great milestone in the transition between childhood and adulthood is self acceptance, and learning from your past. Anne of Green Gables tells the story of Anne Shirley, a young romanticist who struggles to find balance between her lively imagination and the realities of growing up. Anne finds herself in all sorts of trouble as she tries to adjust in her new home, and is often challenging the world around her. However, as Anne matures with age, she begins to embrace the qualities that make her unique, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anne retreats to her imagination to create a dream world, which often acts as a contrast to the environment she lives in. Upon entering Avonlea, Anne s daydreams and fantasies often pull her away from reality, and she struggles to understand the social normalities and expectations within her community. Even in Anne s earliest days at Green Gables, the reader gets a sense of her fanciful and dramatic character. Throughout the novel, she often expresses her distaste in her appearance; and is especially wordy when discussing her bright red hair, I could endure anything if I only thought my hair would be a handsome auburn when I grew up. It would be so much easier to be good if one s hair was a handsome auburn, don t you think? (page 65). One of Anne Shirley s most defining traits is her use of playful language. When discussing aspects of her life which she finds displeasing, she will re imagine the situation in a more extravagant and romantic way and, in many cases, her fantasies are excessive and ... • 42. Identify And Explain The Factors That Cause Changes In... The three factors that caused Galetown to have more severe rainstrorms this summer than in previous years are stronger winds, higher temperature and the new lake. First of all, stronger winds push the air parcels (An amount of air that moves as a unit) higher up in the troposphere. The higher the air parcel is in the troposphere, the colder it is. This will cause a greater energy transfer from the parcel to the surrounding air allowing them to become the same temperature and having condensation occurs. This will soon fall out as rain. In the chart, it tells us that in storms 3 and 4 that all factors are the same before the storm such as the surface water (high) and the temperatures are close enough to not make a significant difference. But the wind ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the air parcel rises in the troposphere, the more energy transfer. The reason why the energy transfers is because the water vapor must have an equivalent temp to the surrounding air. More energy causes it to have more evaporation transferring more water vapor to the surrounding air. As the energy transfer occurs, the water vapor gets through condensation and turns to liquid water. The higher the parcel gets, the colder it is in the surrounding air which causes the water to condense and come out as rain. This is important because when the temperature of the air parcel is higher, it will rise higher in the troposphere and the higher the cloud is in the troposphere, the more rain that will fall. Also, the modeling tool tells us that storms 2 and 3 had all the same factors ( water vapor, troposphere temperature and surface water) but, the parcel temperature, was higher in storm 3 which caused it to have more rain. Lastly, the reason why the weather has been acting up is the new lake. The lake is causing more evaporation (the process by which a liquid changes into a gas). This is important because the more evaporation there is, the more condensation (the process by which a gas changes into a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Today with the Common Threads Initiative they are pursuing the exact same philosophy and trying to push the industry to adopt more ethical business behaviors. Patagonia s highly public search for a new way of doing business implies a new kind of relationship with customers, reinforced by unconditional guarantees, extremely high product quality and an explicit commitment to ethical codes of behavior (Reinhardt, 2000). For Yvon Chouinard Patagonia is a business experiment, one of his goals is to run the company so it s here 100 years from now and always makes the best quality products. Yet he finds that concern for quality and sustainability doesn t pose a conflict with running a highly successful business. Every time we do the right thing, our profits go up (Chouinard, 2005). Patagonia is the perfect example of successful business with high ethics standard, it has led the company to enjoy an unrivaled reputation among outdoor aficionados, and its green philosophy is gaining broader appeal as more people embrace sustainable consumption. 6 References Chouinard, Y. As a result, merging and consolidation of institutions is commonplace to take advantage of economies of scale and as a result, laboratory automation has been in the rise connecting more sectors to tracks. A key question to answer is what is the level automation system is right for each clinical laboratory? Automation can improve lab s efficiency and help clinical outcomes. . However, each center must value its own objectives of automation for each sector and define if they will require modular type automation systems or automation. The concept of a consolidated laboratory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this sense, a definition of automation would include the use of combined and computer set, robotics and the analyzers to manipulate the samples before, during and after measurements. The automation of the laboratory, in the broad sense, affects all stages of the analytical process. This means that new organizational approaches ranging from automation of individual processes to reorganization projects and total automation. Between both situations there are an important variety of scenarios that lead to models of laboratory. Total laboratory automation (TLA) involves the integration of analyzers together with pre analytic and post analytic. The work of a total automation system begins by managing the samples in an input module that classifies and loads them in the carriers, centrifuges tubes, uncaps them and direct them to the analyzers. The samples, after sampled by the analyzer are stored temporarily in dedicated output location, from where they may be automatically recovered in case it rerun or reflex testing in necessary. The automation of clinical laboratories, when done properly and in accordance with to the needs of each center, provides benefits that include an efficient increase in productivity, the possibility of adding new analytical procedures without increasing the resources human, the centralization of processes, reliable management of samples with full traceability, the standardization of the analytical process, a greater guarantee of ...
