Reasons For The Decline Of The Mughal Empire
18th century seen as the time when the Mughal Empire started losing their hold and the British
power was rising. The Mughal Empire still had control over their nobles however the later Mughal
Emperors were not as efficient to maintain the mightiness and hence the empire faced numerous
administrative problems such as jagirdari crises and peasantry revolution. Under the successors of
Aurangzeb, efficiency of the imperial administration broke down. The Subedars dismissed used the
economic powers they even stopped sending back the revenue to the emperor which was to happen
from time to time mainly the successor states like Bengal, Awadh and Hyderabad who initially hog

Decline of the Mughal Empire it mentioned Emperor Aurangzeb as one of the major reasons for
the decline of the Mughal Empire empire Aurangzeb. Before the closing of the seventeenth
century sovereign Aurangzeb had depleted the military and financial resources of his kingdom by
battling a long war in the Deccan does the Mughal Empire had effectively weakened by at that
point. The decrease of such a solid kingdom since nobles they were divided into two main group
the Iranis and Turanis. The Mughal Emperors after Aurangzeb had little control on administration
and they were puppets in the hands of either of these two powerful groups. One of the other
factors was a ruler of Iran s Nadir Shah. He took the benefit of the Mughal Dynasties weakness
and invaded in Delhi 1739 to add insult to the injury he took away a great amount of the Mughal
wealth. That must have been a major blow for the Mughal Empire. It certainly was but that wasn t

Operations Management At Sainsbury s Value Chain
Operations Management is the systematic (where everything can be defined, measured and
managed) control of processes that translates inputs into services and products (output). All the
processes are linked together to form a supply chain and all the operations are about
transformations (adding value). Two types of operation systems are used : opened and closed loop.
The first one treats time (speed) as a high priority and starts from the input, through the process to
the output. In the opposite, the second one includes a control stage between the process and the
output and, a feedback at the end. In the first part, I m going to describe briefly some of Sainsbury
s operations using Porter s value chain.
Two categories of operations management exist : service or manufacturing based. Services
processes can be analysed through the customer contact matrix, the degree of labour intensity
degree of interaction and customisation, and the volume and variety against customer contact.
In this case, by delivering goods ordered online to customers from a local supermarket, Sainsbury
s more like a service process because their outputs are perishable ; there s a low customer contact
(face to face or moment of truth) ; there s a short response time (feedback is quick) ; it is labor
intensive ; the quality is not easily measured ; and there is low level of customisation (basic
process). It is the downstream part of the supply chain.
The value chain lean system starts with the inbound

an analysis of the qualifications of an Epic Hero
An epic hero is someone who goes down in history as being brave, courageous, and obviously
heroic. They don t have to be asked to save the day, and often times, they aren t even saving their
own people. There are several epic poems that come to mind when thinking about European
culture and where it came from. These stories are held as sacred to many different people, and
will always be studied whenever the topic of government or culture comes up. In these poems, or
stories, there is always a herothat the story is centered around, often times even named for. These
heroes include Achilles, Odysseus, Aeneas, Socrates, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, and Arthur; there are
certain things about these men that make them heroes.
Achilles is the ideal hero, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
439) Unlike Achilles, Odysseus is a king. He rules his country with a firm hand, but cares for his
subjects. During the Trojan War, he is one of king Agamemnon s highest ranking officers, and is a
man who is constantly sought after for advice. One thing that makes him a hero unlike others is
that he is willing to ask for help and is humble enough to take advice. Odysseus is one of the first
Greek mythic heroes renowned for his brain as well as his muscle. (Education Foundation) This
makes him all the more powerful as a ruler.
Aeneas is one who few think of when naming epic heroes, but his story is much like that of
Odysseus. While the figures of Homers work might have been praised by the Greek tangibility
Publius Vergilius Maro, a statesman and poet during the Pax Romana under Augustus would come
to harshly criticize the Greek epic ideal and redefined what it meant to be a man with his hero
Aeneas. (Krause) He goes through struggle after struggle, and is constantly tested. His bravery is
what defines him as a hero. He can seemingly endure anything. He must take a journey to the
underworld, similar to that of Odysseus.
When one thinks of an epic hero, they thing strong, brave, and handsome; Socrates is not the man
who comes to mind. When it really comes down to it though, Socrates is more of a hero than the
others previously mentioned. He

Once your outerwear is clean and dry, here s how to care for the rest of your gear.
Cleaning Skis
For skis, use a mild soap and a sponge to get off any hardened dirt and rinse it all off. After
wiping them completely dry, you can use a base cleaner to remove any remaining wax. Finally,
rub some shiny new wax over the bottom. The wax you use is going to depend on your type of
skiing.
For alpine skiing, you ll use a glide wax to make you faster. For classic cross country skiing, you ll
need a grip wax to help you get enough traction to move forward but still let you glide once you
get going. If you re looking for more information about cleaning your skis, REI has a great article.
Cleaning Goggles
When it comes to goggles, wipe them down gently with a soft lens cloth or the soft bag they
came in. Don t use a tissue, paper towel, or clothing! These can actually create small scratches
across the lenses. If there s still a bit of grime, you can use an eyeglass cleaning solution for the

The act of communicating is a universal practice shared and used by all human beings. It is so
universal that it holds true to many different definitions of its meaning. The act could be defined as
the expelling of thoughts into words to transmit information to another person. Communication
exists between two or more individuals to share information, ideas, thoughts or feelings. Within the
criminal justice system communication is a very important process because of the sensitivity of the
lives it may affect.

My Hero Essay
Flames shot twenty feet into the air. Drums blared, guitars strum, and one tear escaped my eye.
This was the greatest experience of my life, I was finally getting to see my hero, Paul
McCartney. While most kids of the generation look up to the the likes of Justin Bieber, and
Ariana Grande, I differ. My hero has integrity, he stands up for what he believes in, even if it s
not a popular opinion. Even better is his ability to inspire, his lyrics and rhetoric make people
change for the better. A true hero has the ability to make people act, not by force, but because they
want to.
It is not easy to stand up for what one believes in when he is criticised by the public or media.
Being able to stand against the regular cultural norms and do what is right is a strong identifier of
integrity, and that is what Paul McCartney does. The greatest example of this was in the late 60 s,
when Paul was a Beatle. This was the stadium era, a time for concert goers that was ushered in by
The Beatles. The unfortunate piece of the however, was the fact that this era still involved
segregation. Paul and the Beatles would not stand for this tolerance, the most amazing piece to
keep in mind is that at the time they were just teenagers. They showed integrity when after hearing
that a concert of theirs would be segregated they released this statement We never play to
segregated audiences and we aren t going to start now. I d sooner lose our appearance money, it s

Pan Africanism For Beginners Essay
Sid Lemelle hoped for his book, Pan Africanism for Beginners, to be a comprehensive guide to the
complex concept of Pan Africanism. Lemelle begins the book by broadly defining Pan Africanism
to mean the inclusion of all people of African ancestry living in continental Africa and throughout
the world. This definition sets the foundation for his analysis of Pan Africanism. Pan Africanism for
Beginners explores the major leaders and events associated with Pan African sentiments
chronologically. The exploration begins with the early pioneers of Pan Africanism (20) such as
Prince Hall, Paul Cuffe, Dr. Martin R. Delany, and Fredrick Douglass. While this was an early
stage of Pan Africanism, conflicting views on how to deal the issues of racism and oppression.
Prince Hall and Paul Cuffe believed in the emigration of blacks to Africa. However, Dr. Delany and
Frederick Douglass argued against emigration. Instead, they believed that the United States was
their home, and that they should remain (25). Lemelle notes that Dr. Delany later changed his
attributes, however it is unclear if he changes his views from support of emigration to opposition
to emigration or vice versa. This is not a major weakness; however, it did confuse me as a reader
attempting to understand the beginnings of Pan Africanism. One of the initial major Pan African
events Lemelle introduced was the creation of Sierra Leone s Province of Freedom along with the
founding of Liberia. These two ex slave

Theme Of Courage In Tikki Tavi
The theme of Rikki Tikki Tavi is that courage can come in all shapes and sizes. Rikki was a
young mongoose who defended the family that saved his life after a flood. Despite being just a
young mongoose he fought fiercely with the greedy snakes trying to take over the bungalow.
Part of having courage is doing the right thing. Rikki stays with the family that saved him after the
flood and protects them. When he first learns of Nag and Nagaina from Darzee after hearing him
weep for the baby Nag ate, Rikki goes to fight them. After he hears the snakes planning to kill his
family, Rikki waits and kills Nag. He then hunts down Nagaina and saves the garden.

Amistad Trial
In the 17th century, the demand for slaves was higher than it ever was at any time in history.
Africans were kidnapped from their homes and villages to be sold to whites so that they could be
sold and put to work with no income. This was the exact plan that was in store for 43 mendi
africans taken on the slave ship, The Amistad. While being transporting, the Mendi Africans took a
stand and revolted against the crew and took over the ship with a will to become free and that is
when their path to freedom began. The trial in the US and the Mendi slaves time in Connecticut

First they needed a place to stay. They ended up in Farmington, who welcomed them with
opened arms. The kids were split up with local families while the rest of the men stayed in a big
room in one of Farmington residents, Samuel Demings stores. They were provided with simple
food from the local families. Second, they had to make money in order to fund the trip.
Farmington generously gave them 15 acres of land to farm. The Farmington families and Mendi
Africans also traveled all over connecticut for fundraising. The preparations weren t going to be
instant, but they were going to take some time to complete. With all the free time, they needed
something to do. For months they studied with teachers in Farmington, hoping that they could
one day teach their villages to be literate. They were also taught in religion. The first church of
christ, located in Farmington, had a vision that the Africans could become missionaries in their
villages and communities. They went to church every sunday and were taught daily. They also
had to have some fun. They liked to do activities with each other, particularly gymnastics and
swimming in the river. But it wasn t all positive in Farmington though. One day the teacher
made careless remarks that the Africans would probably never go home. This depressed all the
Africans, particularly one named For One. On a saturday shortly after the remarks, he said that
he was going to swim, and there he drowned himself. Shocked by what happened, Farmington
and the Africans sped up the final preparations before they left. Nearly a month after the suicide,
a group of young whites physically attacked a couple of the africans when they came out of a
store. Lucky for the africans, cinque came to the rescue and fought them off. Now they were
really rushed to leave farmington. Days before they left, four churches in the area came together

Borderlands La Frontera Summary
In this Chapter I feel that Anzaldua is trying to get the reader to understand the differences and
atruggles amongst cultures. The clash of cultures results in mental and emotional confusion. Living
inbetween more than one culture, you often get opposing messages from these cultures. Sometimes
when living within the Chicana culturecommon white beleifs conflict with the beleifs of the
Mexican culture. They both hold beleifs of the indifinous peopel and their culture. It creates a
problem that the dominant cultures views and beleifs are defiant to the others. This is very wrong
because it creats the problem of one being superior to the other. This especially relates to the
Mexican culture and white culture. This creates the assimilation problem when one culture is not
accepted or considered below another. In the book Borderlands La Frontera it states that El choque

Managers did not see a value in going against the norm, this would have caused increased tension

Essay On Modern Day Veterans
Have you hugged a veteran today? What about yesterday? most likely the answer is no. Veterans
are important to our nations history and future, but we are not very good at recognizing this and

gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by
them. We do not realize the impact they have on our lives today. They protected our freedom, they
remind us of how deadly war really is, and most importantly they teach our future generations.
One of the fundamental reasons people go to war is for freedom. Where would we be without the

To what extent was Pitt s repressive policy the main reason for his success in resisting the radical
challenge to 1801? The growing threat of revolution by English radicals being influenced by Irish

during his time as Prime Minister. To deal with this, he reinforced a repressive policy of tough

form and by 1800 there were 100,000 members. This show of support for the king that followed
the war with France was a strong opponent against the radicals. Problems within the radicals
caused a divide in their goals and the path they thought was necessary to take to reach them. This
could be seen when looking at some of the radical groups. Disunity in cause could be seen by
looking at two figures that were part of the radical movement; Tom Paine focused solely on men s
rights, whilst Mary Wollstonecraft focused on rights for women. The London Corresponding
Society believed in achieving their goals peacefully, however the Society for Constitutional
Information s leader (John Jebb) believed that public agitation was the most effective way of
reaching their goals. This lack of unity of cause and ways of achieving their aims considerably
weakened the radical movement. Another factor that

Taking A Look At Insomnia
Unlike the stigmas and taboos associated with many mental illnesses, Insomnia is a mental illness
that is, by comparison, more well received in contemporary society. Being featured in numerous
types of popular culture, such as well known songs, chronic sleeplessness is unique in its near
mainstream relevance (Lynsky, 2008). Insomniais defined as chronic complaints of unsatisfactory
sleep, despite having an adequate opportunity to sleep (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
According to the DSM, The diagnosis of insomnia disorder is given whether it occurs as an
independent condition or is comorbid with another mental disorder (e.g., major depressive
disorder), medical condition (e.g., pain), or another sleep disorder(e.g., a breathing related sleep
disorder).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Insomnia may also manifest as a clinical feature of a more predominant mental disorder. This is
significant, as is defines a distinct difference between primary insomnia and insomnia induced by
another factor or mental illness. It is notable that this condition is prominent throughout society
According to one study, over 35% of those interviewed complained about symptoms related to
insomnia and 10% of those reported effects that persisted into the daytime, negatively impacting
their cognition, relationships, job performance, safety, and overall mental wellbeing (Turkoski,
2006). In addition, the National Sleep Foundation (2017) found that two thirds of surveyed
Americans had difficulties falling asleep or staying asleep at least one night a week. Due to the
reported prevalence of insomnia, it is important to consider the treatment methods employed to

Analysis Of Charge Of The Light Brigade
Good morning and welcome back, to Poetry and Society, lesson 5. In today s lesson we will be
exploring the attitudes and morals portrayed in the poem Charge of the Light Brigade written by
Alfred Lord Tennyson; through the literary devices, themes and form, and how they are relevant to
the Crimean War.
Alfred Lord Tennyson, is a renowned British poet from the Victorian Era. Loving books as a
little kid, lead to him to writing a 6000 lined epic poem at the age of 12. Since that age he
continued to write poems and soon enough in 1850 became the most popular poet in the Victorian
Era. Two years later the Crimean war broke out between the Russians and the British. Tennyson,
intrigued by the war, decided to write about the famous Battle of Balaclava; where the British
Cavalry had in fact attacked the wrong unit whilst in battle. This lead to his most famous poem
Charge of the Light Brigade, which informed both people at the time and people now of the mistake
the British made.
The Crimean war, an attack of the British attempting to take over land in Ukraine on the Crimean
Peninsula. War at the time was used to unify a nation, as well as inform other countries of the
potential and status of one s country. Britain at the time was slowly expanding out to countries,
owning 33 countries at the time. Britain was considered quite patriotic under the ruling of Queen
Victoria, men that went out to fight in the war were doing it purely for their country, and nothing

impacted many and also made countless statements that still ring true today. His impact on the
outlook of the Vietnam War was influential for many, and it motivated others to push for civil

what he believed in. Clearly, Muhammad Ali, otherwise known as Cassius Clay, was a controversial

Common and Preferred Stock
How do Corporations raise capital? All of the large corporations could not have grown to their
present size without being able to find innovative ways to raise capital to finance ultimate
expansion. There are many ways this can be accomplished, but this review will take a look at just
two ways: the issuance of Preferred Stock and selling of Common Stock. What exactly is a stock,
anyway? Basically, stock is ownership, simple as that. Buy a share of APPLE Inc. and acquire a
tiny sliver of the computer giant, tying the investments fate to that of the Chairman, for better or
worse. This is ownership in the most literal sense: You get a piece of every desk, contract and...

In contrast to a Common Stock, a company may choose to issue Preferred Stock to raise capital.
Preferred Stock represents a hybrid in the sense that it is an equity interest with certain features
resembling debt. Buyers of these shares have special status in the event the underlying company
encounters financial trouble. A typical preferred shareholderdoesn t vote on the composition of the
company s board or other matters. They are more interested in receiving regular dividends, since
these dividends do not fluctuate based on the company s profits; each preferred shareholder is
entitled to a fixed amount at certain periods, just so long as the company has the money to do
so. Dividends are, also, paid to preferred stockholders before they are paid to common
stockholders. Preferred stock is issued with a specific dividend rate. The dividend rate may be
stated as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the par value. When dividends are paid, preferred
stockholders are paid the amount applicable to their class of preferred stock. Several advantages to
issuing preferred stock include: no dilution of management s interest in corporate growth or in
voting power (if non voting preferred stock is issued), and predictable dividend payments and
preferences upon liquidation (for which investors may pay a premium). Although, disadvantages

Informative Essay On Donald Trump

Power The day of November 8th 2016 would be a day that changed the United States forever.
This was the day that Donald Trump, a professional and very much so emotional tweeter, was
elected as the 45th President of the United States. Commonly known as a business mogul, he is
also a reality TV star. A mogul is a very influential and powerful person in a business or industry.
A reality tv star is a person who has gained social recognition through their appearance on

Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. Donald Trump first became best known when he was
able to take an unprofitable hotel, revamp it, and then make huge profits. The Trump towerbrought
Donald national recognition. Donald Trump is known for his immature tweeting and controversial
decisions as the president of the United States. He is the reason that there are more hateful people
coming out in the US. He makes them believe that they can be more open and aggressive which
is not right. I believe that Donald Trump will be the reason or at least hold a key role in the
creation of World

Trump. He is very impulsive, overly dominant, and inconsiderate. There have been many instances
where Donald Trump has been accused of abusing his power. When Donald Trump was first

executive order that intended to dismantle the Affordable HealthCare Act, commonly known as

Knope mirrors Elizabeth in her search for happiness, despite all rules. Often times Knope puts
her work first, as she was raised by her mother to do so, however she eventually realizes that
family and friends should come before work, no matter what her mother believes. Elizabeth, also
puts her happiness first by rejecting Mr. Collins proposal, because she knew she wouldn t be happy

the character Tammy. Tammy is a librarian and is constantly trying to brainwash different men
through sex. Lydia may not be as obvious about her promiscuity, but both characters share the
archetype of being that type of woman. The archetypes of being a good girl and a bad girl has been

Primo Levi s Survival in Auschwitz
Reading the novel Survival in Auschwitz by author Primo Levi leads one to wonder whether his
survival is attributed to his indefinite will to survive or a very subservient streak of luck.
Throughout the novel, he is time and again spared from the fate that supposedly lies ahead of all
inhabitants of the death camp at Auschwitz. Whether it was falling ill at the most convenient times
or coming in contact with prisoners who had a compassionate, albeit uncommon, disposition, it
would seem as though the Gods were always smiling upon him. Although throughout the novel

Although Levi was never chosen to be a prominenten , this did not matter as his training as a

work in a chemistry laboratory in the camp. Again Levi refers to his luck when he writes So it
would seem that fate В…has arranged that we three В…suffer neither hunger nor cold this
winter (Levi 140). One must say that to be chosen as one of the three men, out of the 10,000

the Läger, his background as a chemist also proved vital when the prisoners had to fend for
themselves after the germans abandoned the camp due to the encroachment of the Russian
army. Since all municipal provisions were deserted as a result of the hasty departure of the
Germans, it was Levi who was able to light the stove using flints stolen from the laboratory. This
in turn enabled them to melt snow for water and cook the potatoes and cabbage that they were
able to salvage. It was also Levi who used an abandoned battery from the lorry to finally provide
light in their room. Furthermore, Levi s luck also appeared to be beneficial in that it allowed him
to make the acquaintance of inmates who appeared to be just as honest and forthcoming as him.

The muder of Meredith Kercher was covered very differently from beginning to end. Media bias

An article written in 2007 was one of the first published after the murder of Meredith Kercher. This

present at the apartment during the murder. She says they were at Rafaelles smoking pot and
having sex ( Murphy Denis). Just five days later her story changed again. She claimed she was
present at their apartment as well as Lumamna, who she claimed killed Meredith. However, during
her court trial, she confessed that Lumumna was never present and that she made the confession

November 1, and that she didn t remember much of the night because of the weed. Another thing

Leadership Self Reflection Report
Self Reflection The purpose of this paper is to focus on my leadership qualities. I will discuss my
key values and beliefs, along with my strongest attribute and one of my weaknesses or an area that
needs improvement. Next, I will discuss two managers or leaders, one that I really liked and one
that I greatly disliked. Finally, I will discuss how I would like my direct reports to perceive me as a
manger and leader. Key Values and Beliefs
Upon reflection, I believe that my primary key value is integrity. I value integrity over all other
values and beliefs. To me, integrity is the root or base upon which our character is built. Without
integrity, our foundation has no substance and our other values are without merit. Another set of
values that is important to me is competence and knowledge. The ability to accomplish a task to
the best of my capabilities is fundamental to my sense of perfectionism. While, no one is perfect ,
may be true, I believe it is important to strive toward that goal. If we set our standards at less
than 100%, we will achieve less than 100%. Second, knowledge is a critical component in
achieving competence. I believe learning should be a life long objective. The information and
skills that come from learning add to your experience and provide you with the means to achieve
your goals. These three values, integrity, competence, and knowledge form the basis of my belief
system.

The Language Of The English Language Essay
The English language has been the language that most people use in conversations and in everyday
life. According to Carmen Santillana (2013), English is the most used language in the world, and
there are one out of five people that can speak or understand the English language. There are 53
countries whose main languageis English. According to a research in the US, it takes 4 7 years or
even 10 years for a student in the US to develop their academic language proficiency (p. 85). Every
country has their own language that is used mostly in conversing. Although Filipinos are used to
using their mother language in casual conversations, English should be the medium of instruction
for world history because it is appropriate, suitable, and practical. People are used to using their
mother language because this is the language that they are familiar with. The mother language is
the language that people use ever since they were born. It is the language that their parents first
used to talk to them. For some people, their mother language is the most uncomplicated mean in
communicating with their peers. People easily understand each other if it is the language that they
were used to ever since they grew up. If people understand each other easily, they would not have a
hard time in conversing with each other. Technology has been changing people s lives these days.

Roman Kinship Societies
Kinship societies are those in which family is the basic and most important guideline for the way
people live. The authors of The Words of Our Ancestors: Kinship, Tradition, and Moral Codes
differentiate between kinship and non kinship relationships as not only in the amount of
cooperation one is likely to observe (Palmer and Steadman 1997), but in the duration of the
relationship (Coe and Palmer, 4). As mentioned in the text, in kinshipsocieties, families maintain
traditions, connections, and values throughout generations. At the time of Rome s establishment in

Rome was a pivotal moment as it went through a cultural revolution. Plutarch s novel The Life of
Cato the Elder displays many of these changes from early Roman life. To fully understand these
cultural changes, it helps best to understand Cato s life. He was a wealthy farmer, but he lived a
minimalist lifestyle. He would eat the same food and drink the same wine as his servants and
even work on his farm. This lifestyle choice set him apart from others as he was a wealthy man
with land and servants, doing manual labor. In early Rome, Romans favored those who came
from noble or aristocratic families for public office and senate. The Romans used to call men who
had no family distinction, but were coming into public notice through their own achievements,
new men, and such they called Cato (Plutarch, 303). Cato changed this way of thinking. He first
gained public recognition through his neighbor Valerius Flaccus. Flaccus persuaded him to go
into public office. The beginning of Cato s public career showed another cultural change in
Rome, imperialism in the Punic wars. Imperialism in Greece lead to the spread of Greek language
and philosophy. Maybe one of the biggest changes of this time was the introduction of Greek
philosophy. Cato took the more traditional stance and even spoke in Latin to Athenians even
though he could speak Greek. He even mocked at those who were lost in admiration of anything
that was Greek. 5 For instance, he poked fun at

Slavery And The American Dream
Slaves they are products of a lost mind and irresponsible love. Now when I say a slave I am not

community. However sad it may be, our own kind are making their children into slaves. There
are few things that have had such an impact on making slaves as the topics that I am about to

discrimination was at it s highest. This mostly caught the attention of the younger generation of the
1960s and the black community, which had a more vigilant tone. Lewis purpose for this speech is

Therefore, Lewis remarks in the first paragraph demonstrate that he identifies with the concerns of
grassroots activists across the country who could not attend the march, and he explains that he has
doubts about this march doing enough if the movement does not focus more on the grassroots
efforts of its members. (Mrs.Pruden)
John Lewis defends the Civil Rights Bill, but as he goes on, Lewis states that until any course of
action is taken towards the bill, it would not be much help to the African Americancommunity and
would not protect the innocent citizens who are victims of the police state. For instance, in the
text, Lewis believes that the bill is not going to fulfill the needs and safety of the black
community, in which he states in its present form, this bill will not protect the citizens of Danville,
Virginia, who must live in constant fear of a police state (para 2). That is to say, Lewis feels that

time period are heavily reinforced through Catherine s defiant individualism and love for the
initially lowly Heathcliff, which contrasts with the civility and propriety of the people around her.
Despite being set solely in the Yorkshire Moors in England, the delicate social hierarchy of class is
clearly seen in the residents of both Wuthering Heightsand Thrushcross Grange, in which
Wuthering Heights lacks the class, refinement, and civilization of the latter. Despite the era s social
expectations of women as submissive and demure individuals expected to marry into a wealthy
family, Catherine rejects these very standards through her fierce lovefor Heathcliff... Show more

With this description, Catherine emphasizes the social values of the eighteenth century through her
willingness to defy authority and reason, pitting her against the strict societal expectations of the
era. However, the exposure of Catherine to Thrushcross Grange as she stays at the manor to
recover from the injury to her ankle, prompts a transformation in her romanticist character that
openly explores the cultural values of the Yorkshire Manors. The civility of the Lintons in
Thrushcross Grange transforms the once defiant and youthful Catherine into a mature and well
groomed lady that develops an internal conflict between her love for the well mannered and
wealthy Edgar Linton and the lowly Heathcliff. In BrontГ« s novel, Catherine emphasizes her
characterization in a scene where she laments this internal conflict saying, I ve no more business
to marry Edgar Linton than I have to be in heaven; and if the wicked man in there had not brought
Heathcliff so low, I shouldn t have thought of it. It would degrade me to marry Heathcliff now; so
he shall never know how I love him (BrontГ«

Rhetorical Analysis of Public Thinking
Journalist, Clive Thompson in his book, Smarter Than You Think , specifically in the chapter titled,
Public Thinking , published on September 12, 2013, addresses the topic of technology and argues
that because of the internet, we are doing more writing now than ever. Therefore technology is
helping us think publicly in new and improved ways. He supports this claim by asserting that
there is an improvement in our writing, which is happening because of the audience effect , he
then goes on to say that anything we write changes the way we think, and finally he talks about
how the internet builds connections, which is essential to the spread of new ideas. Thompson s
purpose is to inform readers about how the internet is a tool being used to advance our society in
order to encourage more people to partake in online, public thinking. He adopts a contemplative
tone for his audience, the readers of The New York Times, and others interested in the topic of
technology. It is my intention in this paper to analyze the author s subclaims and use of rhetorical
strategies.
In his article, Thompson claims that there is an audience effect which is causing an improvement in
writing. While talking about the important aspects of the increase in online writing, Thompson
states that, When you write something online whether it s a one sentence status update, a comment
on someone s photo, or a

The Influence Of Camels On The Bedouin People
Camels, or dromedaries, are animals that have one or two humps on their backs. The hump is
mostly made out of fat. If the camel has a hard time finding food, the fat in the hump provides
energy. When the camel is starving the hump shrinks. They are large animals that are able to
survive in the hot, dry climate of the desertin the Middle East. They are a very important animal to
the Bedouin people of the desert. They mostly live in the Middle East. The Bedouin people are
Arab people who use camels as their transportation. They travel across the deserts in Africa. They
are also nomadic herders. The Bedouin people have used camels for trade for over three millennia
s. They use camels to trade items. Instead of using caravans, which

A Summary Of Olympia By Edouard Manet
Known as one of the most controversial artists in his time, Edouard Manet had suffered rejection
and endured a great deal of adversity for his unconventional style and his choice of subjects in his
paintings, barely dressed women. When Manet s Olympia was revealed in 1865, it shocked critics
for its subject, a nude woman. The question I ask in this instance is, why was this painting in
particular seen so controversial and shocking?, What makes this painting so different to others that
have come before it?. There is a long tradition of female nude being represented in beautiful, erotic
way, what makes this a stand out?
What we can take from the painting at first glance is: The model in the painting itself is leaning
upright on a bed, naked, with only an Orchid in her hair, a ribbon tied around her neck, a bangle
and some slippers on. A hand maid is standing by her holding a bouquet of flowers while a little
black cat is sitting at the end of the bed. If we look and put thought into what we are looking at, we
can gather a refined understanding of why this painting stands out. One of the many reasons why
the public disfavoured this painting was simply its painting style, the public thought its painting
application was very rough and botched, the painting even seemed unfinished to some. How
Olympia herself was painted came under fire too, Her flesh tones look washed out and one
dimensional, there is no realistic shading transitions within the painting. The composition of

Who Was Responsible For Macbeth s Downfall
MacBeth Analysis In the play MacBeth written by William Shakespeare, the main character
MacBeth was given a prophecy to become a king by three witches. In order for MacBeth to be
king, however, the current king has to be deceased; MacBeth was hoping that, by fate, King
Duncan would pass away naturally. Sadly, destiny did not favor MacBethas he has to murder King
Duncanfor him to become a king. Between MacBeth and his wife Lady MacBeth, MacBeth is the
more responsible person for the murder, thus making MacBeth the greater of two evil. After a
battle, three witches met with MacBeth to give him a prophecy that he will one day be a king.
In order for MacBeth to be king, the current one who was King Duncan, had to pass away or be
killed by someone else. If chance will have me King, why,/ chance may crown me,/ Without my
stir (Act 1 sc. 3 lines 143 144). Because of the fact that fate does not have King Duncan dies
naturally, MacBeth has to murder King Duncan. Lady MacBeth involved herself into the plot and
created a murder plan for MacBeth to follow. MacBeth at the time was a... Show more content on

However, Lady MacBeth attacked MacBeth s masculinity when MacBeth hesitated to follow the
murder plan. When you durst do it, then you were a man;/ And to be more than what you were,

still loves his wife, mourns her death, and states that there is no reason for him to live any
longer. She should have died hereafter;/ There would have been a time for such word.

Equity of Trade Versus Free Trade Essay
Equity of Trade Versus Free Trade
The U.S. has a huge trade imbalance with most trading nations. The imbalance is not in agriculture,
although many food products both raw and processed enter the U.S. at prices below those for
comparable U.S. grown foodstuffs. To a large degree the imbalanceis in manufactured goods. One
reason is that many nations have lower costs of production based upon a lower standard of living,
cheap labor, inexpensive raw materials, protective government policy, etc. Multinationals who have
moved their plants to foreign locations enjoy the best of both worlds inexpensive manufacturing
costs and unlimited access to the world s biggest consumer market, the USA. Our laissez faire trade
stance, when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s logical to believe that the foreign trading entity will not leave all the tariff money and accrued
interest to go into the U.S. Treasury by default. It will purchase a like amount of goods and
services to wipe out the trade credit account.
Analyze what happened: No one got taken advantage of. America got the imported goods. The
foreign entity received a like amount of American goods or services. The trade books are balanced.
All monies earned interest every step of the way.
The U.S. didn t allow inexpensive foreign goods to displace American goods on price alone. It
made the foreign goods compete on a quality basis with American goods. American consumers
will make the choice of which is better at a comparable price. If the foreign goods are really
superior to the American goods, then the foreign manufacturer will have earned an increased
share of the world market and the U.S. manufacturer or ag producer will have to get more
competitive or go out of business. The reverse is also true so the free market and the law of
supply and demand still gets a chance to work, but it works on the basis of quality and value, not
upon inherent differences in world standards of living.
Is it logical for the U.S. to unilaterally adopt Equity of Trade? It is logical if Americans want to
continue the nation s constitutional directive to protect the American

Don John Character Analysis
When thinking about the well known comedy Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare
the audience is quick to focus on the wit and comedy that the play has to offer, rather than the
understated villain who easily disappears in the background. While reading the play, one can posit
that Don John is not the typical villain who acts with a specific motive in mind, rather, he is acting
out of an obligation he feels to serve as an antagonist considering his position as a bastard. This is
demonstrated in his dialogue, which reveals his inner turmoil on being chained to the villainous
role and his willingness to act on any malicious opportunity that presents itself to him. This is
significant in that, it provides another layer to our villain and causes the audienceto think beyond
the first layer that is easily presented, and into the true inner motives of the character.
Don John claims that the resentment people have towards him is rooted in the fact that he is a
bastard and any friendly intentions towards him are fraudulent ones. From the beginning of the play
Don John does not come across as a friendly figure, especially compared to the rest of the soldiers
that come with the party to Messina in a flourish of good and excitement. As Leonato welcomes the
party he seems to implicate that he is extending the welcome on to Don John, because of his
relationship with Don Pedro, the prince and his brother. Don John remarks in a conversation, ...it
better fits my blood to

Social Class As A Society Based On Social And Economic Status
Social class is a division of a society based on social and economic status. Why do we have social
class in our societies? For what purpose does social class, even exist? From India, to the United
States, many different societies have different social classes and systems. So why does social
class and system differ from place to place? These are some essential questions that need to be
answered.
Amazingly, the Caste System in India has been around for thousands of years. The caste system
places you in a social class with specific duties you must perform. Secondly, the system places you
in the social class of your parents. In the Caste System, it is expected of individuals to fulfill their
Dharma. Dharma is the religious and moral law ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are the second highest ranking caste. Third, the Vaisyas, who are farmers or merchants.
Fourth, the Sudras, who are the workers. Lastly, are the Untouchables who are born outside and
under the caste system. The Untouchables (Dalits) are street sweepers, and latrine cleaners. To
keep in mind, depending on village or city life, the importance of caste may differ, and some caste
customs such as carrying on family occupations, following caste rules, may not be as important.
Intrestingly, Brahmins can have many occupations other than being a priest, but no one from a
lower caste can become a priest(without some opposition). Many Brahmins own land and practice
agriculture. In addition, Brahmins have always taken part in political matters. The first Prime
Minister of India, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, was a Brahmin, and a central figure in Indian politics
for much of the 20th century. The Brahmins are mostly strict vegetarians, though in some areas it is
normal to eat meat. Their diets consist of rice, maize, wheat, milk, vegetables, fruit, and lentils.
Kshatriyas, are the class of those who descended from warriors, who were in the service of princes
and rulers. Kshatriyas today are mostly landowners, or follow other modern professions. People
who own a large amount of land are often Kshatriya. Though high ranking in caste, Kshatriyas
commonly eat meat, and can have alcoholic drinks, while Brahmins are unable to do either.
Although,

The Mughal Empire still had control over their nobles however the later Mughal Emperors were not as efficient to maintain the mightiness and hence the empire faced numerous administrative problems such as jagirdari crises and peasantry revolution. • 3. Operations Management At Sainsbury s Value Chain Operations Management is the systematic (where everything can be defined, measured and managed) control of processes that translates inputs into services and products (output). All the processes are linked together to form a supply chain and all the operations are about transformations (adding value). Two types of operation systems are used : opened and closed loop. The first one treats time (speed) as a high priority and starts from the input, through the process to the output. In the opposite, the second one includes a control stage between the process and the output and, a feedback at the end. In the first part, I m going to describe briefly some of Sainsbury s operations using Porter s value chain. Two categories of operations management exist : service or manufacturing based. Services processes can be analysed through the customer contact matrix, the degree of labour intensity degree of interaction and customisation, and the volume and variety against customer contact. In this case, by delivering goods ordered online to customers from a local supermarket, Sainsbury s more like a service process because their outputs are perishable ; there s a low customer contact (face to face or moment of truth) ; there s a short response time (feedback is quick) ; it is labor intensive ; the quality is not easily measured ; and there is low level of customisation (basic process). It is the downstream part of the supply chain. The value chain lean system starts with the inbound ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They don t have to be asked to save the day, and often times, they aren t even saving their own people. There are several epic poems that come to mind when thinking about European culture and where it came from. These stories are held as sacred to many different people, and will always be studied whenever the topic of government or culture comes up. In these poems, or stories, there is always a herothat the story is centered around, often times even named for. These heroes include Achilles, Odysseus, Aeneas, Socrates, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, and Arthur; there are certain things about these men that make them heroes. Achilles is the ideal hero, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 439) Unlike Achilles, Odysseus is a king. He rules his country with a firm hand, but cares for his subjects. During the Trojan War, he is one of king Agamemnon s highest ranking officers, and is a man who is constantly sought after for advice. One thing that makes him a hero unlike others is that he is willing to ask for help and is humble enough to take advice. Odysseus is one of the first Greek mythic heroes renowned for his brain as well as his muscle. (Education Foundation) This makes him all the more powerful as a ruler. Aeneas is one who few think of when naming epic heroes, but his story is much like that of Odysseus. While the figures of Homers work might have been praised by the Greek tangibility Publius Vergilius Maro, a statesman and poet during the Pax Romana under Augustus would come to harshly criticize the Greek epic ideal and redefined what it meant to be a man with his hero Aeneas. (Krause) He goes through struggle after struggle, and is constantly tested. His bravery is what defines him as a hero. He can seemingly endure anything. He must take a journey to the underworld, similar to that of Odysseus. When one thinks of an epic hero, they thing strong, brave, and handsome; Socrates is not the man who comes to mind. When it really comes down to it though, Socrates is more of a hero than the others previously mentioned. He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. My Hero Essay Flames shot twenty feet into the air. Drums blared, guitars strum, and one tear escaped my eye. This was the greatest experience of my life, I was finally getting to see my hero, Paul McCartney. While most kids of the generation look up to the the likes of Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande, I differ. My hero has integrity, he stands up for what he believes in, even if it s not a popular opinion. Even better is his ability to inspire, his lyrics and rhetoric make people change for the better. A true hero has the ability to make people act, not by force, but because they want to. It is not easy to stand up for what one believes in when he is criticised by the public or media. Being able to stand against the regular cultural norms and do what is right is a strong identifier of integrity, and that is what Paul McCartney does. The greatest example of this was in the late 60 s, when Paul was a Beatle. This was the stadium era, a time for concert goers that was ushered in by The Beatles. The unfortunate piece of the however, was the fact that this era still involved segregation. Paul and the Beatles would not stand for this tolerance, the most amazing piece to keep in mind is that at the time they were just teenagers. They showed integrity when after hearing that a concert of theirs would be segregated they released this statement We never play to segregated audiences and we aren t going to start now. • 9. Pan Africanism For Beginners Essay Sid Lemelle hoped for his book, Pan Africanism for Beginners, to be a comprehensive guide to the complex concept of Pan Africanism. Lemelle begins the book by broadly defining Pan Africanism to mean the inclusion of all people of African ancestry living in continental Africa and throughout the world. This definition sets the foundation for his analysis of Pan Africanism. Pan Africanism for Beginners explores the major leaders and events associated with Pan African sentiments chronologically. The exploration begins with the early pioneers of Pan Africanism (20) such as Prince Hall, Paul Cuffe, Dr. Martin R. Delany, and Fredrick Douglass. While this was an early stage of Pan Africanism, conflicting views on how to deal the issues of racism and oppression. Prince Hall and Paul Cuffe believed in the emigration of blacks to Africa. However, Dr. Delany and Frederick Douglass argued against emigration. Instead, they believed that the United States was their home, and that they should remain (25). Lemelle notes that Dr. Delany later changed his attributes, however it is unclear if he changes his views from support of emigration to opposition to emigration or vice versa. This is not a major weakness; however, it did confuse me as a reader attempting to understand the beginnings of Pan Africanism. One of the initial major Pan African events Lemelle introduced was the creation of Sierra Leone s Province of Freedom along with the founding of Liberia. These two ex slave ... With all the free time, they needed something to do. For months they studied with teachers in Farmington, hoping that they could one day teach their villages to be literate. They were also taught in religion. The first church of christ, located in Farmington, had a vision that the Africans could become missionaries in their villages and communities. They went to church every sunday and were taught daily. They also had to have some fun. They liked to do activities with each other, particularly gymnastics and swimming in the river. But it wasn t all positive in Farmington though. One day the teacher made careless remarks that the Africans would probably never go home. This depressed all the Africans, particularly one named For One. On a saturday shortly after the remarks, he said that he was going to swim, and there he drowned himself. Shocked by what happened, Farmington and the Africans sped up the final preparations before they left. The clash of cultures results in mental and emotional confusion. Living inbetween more than one culture, you often get opposing messages from these cultures. Sometimes when living within the Chicana culturecommon white beleifs conflict with the beleifs of the Mexican culture. They both hold beleifs of the indifinous peopel and their culture. It creates a problem that the dominant cultures views and beleifs are defiant to the others. This is very wrong because it creats the problem of one being superior to the other. This especially relates to the Mexican culture and white culture. This creates the assimilation problem when one culture is not accepted or considered below another. The growing threat of revolution by English radicals being influenced by Irish rebels and the French Revolution was the main thing William Pitt the younger was faced with during his time as Prime Minister. To deal with this, he reinforced a repressive policy of tough legislation strengthened through propaganda. It was not only these actions taken that managed to quell the revolutionaries from revolting. There was a loyalist riot in 1794 in Manchester where chants about church and kings were to be heard, subsequently Church and King clubs formed. Suppport for the king spread, the government were extremely happy with the outcome, they even allowed and encourages a loyalist militia to form and by 1800 there were 100,000 members. This show of support for the king that followed the war with France was a strong opponent against the radicals. Problems within the radicals caused a divide in their goals and the path they thought was necessary to take to reach them. This could be seen when looking at some of the radical groups. Disunity in cause could be seen by looking at two figures that were part of the radical movement; Tom Paine focused solely on men s rights, whilst Mary Wollstonecraft focused on rights for women. The London Corresponding Society believed in achieving their goals peacefully, however the Society for Constitutional Information s leader (John Jebb) believed that public agitation was the most effective way of reaching their goals. This lack of unity of cause and ways of achieving their aims considerably weakened the radical movement. Another factor that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He would eat the same food and drink the same wine as his servants and even work on his farm. This lifestyle choice set him apart from others as he was a wealthy man with land and servants, doing manual labor. The Romans used to call men who had no family distinction, but were coming into public notice through their own achievements, new men, and such they called Cato (Plutarch, 303). Cato changed this way of thinking. He first gained public recognition through his neighbor Valerius Flaccus. Flaccus persuaded him to go into public office. We ve been guilty in the past of coming at it from a Diageo perspective of premiumization and total focus on the brand, (Evans, (2015, July 30), para.19) In somehow Diageo challenged itself in the African market because of owning other beer brands that were existed in the African market as well. I will focus mainly the years around the McCarthy era which is 1950 through 1954. To help examine my topic, I will be using two books. The books are Defining moments: McCarthyismand the Communist Threat and Joe McCarthy and McCarthyism: The hate that haunts America The two sources will be valuable because they give a deep understanding of what happened during the years 1950 through 1954. This books is one of Omnigraphics Defining Moments books. Kevin Hillstrom, the author, has written many other books, including books about history. • 40. Catherine Earnshaw Essay As represented in Catherine Earnshaw s early characterization, the social and cultural ideals of the time period are heavily reinforced through Catherine s defiant individualism and love for the initially lowly Heathcliff, which contrasts with the civility and propriety of the people around her. Despite being set solely in the Yorkshire Moors in England, the delicate social hierarchy of class is clearly seen in the residents of both Wuthering Heightsand Thrushcross Grange, in which Wuthering Heights lacks the class, refinement, and civilization of the latter. Despite the era s social expectations of women as submissive and demure individuals expected to marry into a wealthy family, Catherine rejects these very standards through her fierce lovefor Heathcliff... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With this description, Catherine emphasizes the social values of the eighteenth century through her willingness to defy authority and reason, pitting her against the strict societal expectations of the era. However, the exposure of Catherine to Thrushcross Grange as she stays at the manor to recover from the injury to her ankle, prompts a transformation in her romanticist character that openly explores the cultural values of the Yorkshire Manors. The civility of the Lintons in Thrushcross Grange transforms the once defiant and youthful Catherine into a mature and well groomed lady that develops an internal conflict between her love for the well mannered and wealthy Edgar Linton and the lowly Heathcliff. In BrontГ« s novel, Catherine emphasizes her characterization in a scene where she laments this internal conflict saying, I ve no more business to marry Edgar Linton than I have to be in heaven; and if the wicked man in there had not brought Heathcliff so low, I shouldn t have thought of it. It would degrade me to marry Heathcliff now; so he shall never know how I love him (BrontГ« ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Rhetorical Analysis Of Public Thinking Danny Reyes Professor Crane RWS100 28 September 2015 Rhetorical Analysis of Public Thinking Journalist, Clive Thompson in his book, Smarter Than You Think , specifically in the chapter titled, Public Thinking , published on September 12, 2013, addresses the topic of technology and argues that because of the internet, we are doing more writing now than ever. Therefore technology is helping us think publicly in new and improved ways. He supports this claim by asserting that there is an improvement in our writing, which is happening because of the audience effect , he then goes on to say that anything we write changes the way we think, and finally he talks about how the internet builds connections, which is essential to the spread of new ideas. Thompson s purpose is to inform readers about how the internet is a tool being used to advance our society in order to encourage more people to partake in online, public thinking. He adopts a contemplative tone for his audience, the readers of The New York Times, and others interested in the topic of technology. It is my intention in this paper to analyze the author s subclaims and use of rhetorical strategies. In his article, Thompson claims that there is an audience effect which is causing an improvement in writing. While talking about the important aspects of the increase in online writing, Thompson states that, When you write something online whether it s a one sentence status update, a comment on someone s photo, or a ... • 43. A Summary Of Olympia By Edouard Manet Known as one of the most controversial artists in his time, Edouard Manet had suffered rejection and endured a great deal of adversity for his unconventional style and his choice of subjects in his paintings, barely dressed women. When Manet s Olympia was revealed in 1865, it shocked critics for its subject, a nude woman. The question I ask in this instance is, why was this painting in particular seen so controversial and shocking?, What makes this painting so different to others that have come before it?. There is a long tradition of female nude being represented in beautiful, erotic way, what makes this a stand out? What we can take from the painting at first glance is: The model in the painting itself is leaning upright on a bed, naked, with only an Orchid in her hair, a ribbon tied around her neck, a bangle and some slippers on. A hand maid is standing by her holding a bouquet of flowers while a little black cat is sitting at the end of the bed. If we look and put thought into what we are looking at, we can gather a refined understanding of why this painting stands out. One of the many reasons why the public disfavoured this painting was simply its painting style, the public thought its painting application was very rough and botched, the painting even seemed unfinished to some. How Olympia herself was painted came under fire too, Her flesh tones look washed out and one dimensional, there is no realistic shading transitions within the painting. The composition of ... • 45. Equity of Trade Versus Free Trade Essay Equity of Trade Versus Free Trade The U.S. has a huge trade imbalance with most trading nations. The imbalance is not in agriculture, although many food products both raw and processed enter the U.S. at prices below those for comparable U.S. grown foodstuffs. To a large degree the imbalanceis in manufactured goods. One reason is that many nations have lower costs of production based upon a lower standard of living, cheap labor, inexpensive raw materials, protective government policy, etc. Multinationals who have moved their plants to foreign locations enjoy the best of both worlds inexpensive manufacturing costs and unlimited access to the world s biggest consumer market, the USA. Our laissez faire trade stance, when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It s logical to believe that the foreign trading entity will not leave all the tariff money and accrued interest to go into the U.S. Treasury by default. It will purchase a like amount of goods and services to wipe out the trade credit account. Analyze what happened: No one got taken advantage of. America got the imported goods. The foreign entity received a like amount of American goods or services. The trade books are balanced. All monies earned interest every step of the way. The U.S. didn t allow inexpensive foreign goods to displace American goods on price alone. It made the foreign goods compete on a quality basis with American goods. American consumers will make the choice of which is better at a comparable price. If the foreign goods are really superior to the American goods, then the foreign manufacturer will have earned an increased share of the world market and the U.S. manufacturer or ag producer will have to get more competitive or go out of business. The reverse is also true so the free market and the law of supply and demand still gets a chance to work, but it works on the basis of quality and value, not upon inherent differences in world standards of living. Is it logical for the U.S. to unilaterally adopt Equity of Trade? It is logical if Americans want to continue the nation s constitutional directive to protect the American ... • 46. Don John Character Analysis When thinking about the well known comedy Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare the audience is quick to focus on the wit and comedy that the play has to offer, rather than the understated villain who easily disappears in the background. While reading the play, one can posit that Don John is not the typical villain who acts with a specific motive in mind, rather, he is acting out of an obligation he feels to serve as an antagonist considering his position as a bastard. This is demonstrated in his dialogue, which reveals his inner turmoil on being chained to the villainous role and his willingness to act on any malicious opportunity that presents itself to him. This is significant in that, it provides another layer to our villain and causes the audienceto think beyond the first layer that is easily presented, and into the true inner motives of the character. Don John claims that the resentment people have towards him is rooted in the fact that he is a bastard and any friendly intentions towards him are fraudulent ones. From the beginning of the play Don John does not come across as a friendly figure, especially compared to the rest of the soldiers that come with the party to Messina in a flourish of good and excitement. As Leonato welcomes the party he seems to implicate that he is extending the welcome on to Don John, because of his relationship with Don Pedro, the prince and his brother. Don John remarks in a conversation, ...it better fits my blood to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For what purpose does social class, even exist? From India, to the United States, many different societies have different social classes and systems. So why does social class and system differ from place to place? These are some essential questions that need to be answered. Amazingly, the Caste System in India has been around for thousands of years. The caste system places you in a social class with specific duties you must perform. Secondly, the system places you in the social class of your parents. In the Caste System, it is expected of individuals to fulfill their Dharma. Dharma is the religious and moral law ... Lastly, are the Untouchables who are born outside and under the caste system. The Untouchables (Dalits) are street sweepers, and latrine cleaners. To keep in mind, depending on village or city life, the importance of caste may differ, and some caste customs such as carrying on family occupations, following caste rules, may not be as important. Intrestingly, Brahmins can have many occupations other than being a priest, but no one from a lower caste can become a priest(without some opposition). Many Brahmins own land and practice agriculture. In addition, Brahmins have always taken part in political matters. The first Prime Minister of India, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, was a Brahmin, and a central figure in Indian politics for much of the 20th century. The Brahmins are mostly strict vegetarians, though in some areas it is normal to eat meat. Their diets consist of rice, maize, wheat, milk, vegetables, fruit, and lentils. Kshatriyas, are the class of those who descended from warriors, who were in the service of princes and rulers. Kshatriyas today are mostly landowners, or follow other modern professions. People who own a large amount of land are often Kshatriya. Though high ranking in caste, Kshatriyas commonly eat meat, and can have alcoholic drinks, while Brahmins are unable to do either.
