Examples Of Autobiography Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Examples Of Autobiography Essays" can be quite
challenging due to the unique nature of autobiographical writing. The difficulty arises from the
need to strike a delicate balance between personal reflection and objective storytelling. Unlike
other essay genres, autobiographies require a deep exploration of one's own life experiences,
which can be both emotionally taxing and intellectually demanding.
Firstly, delving into personal memories and experiences demands a high level of self-awareness
and introspection. Unraveling the layers of one's life story, selecting significant events, and
articulating them in a coherent and engaging manner requires a keen understanding of one's own
narrative. This process can be mentally and emotionally draining, as writers must confront their
past, evaluate its impact, and decide which aspects to share.
Secondly, maintaining objectivity while narrating personal experiences is a constant challenge.
Writers must resist the temptation to romanticize or exaggerate events, as this compromises the
authenticity of the autobiography. Striking the right balance between emotional resonance and
factual accuracy demands careful consideration and a critical eye towards one's own narrative.
Moreover, the challenge extends to the structure and flow of the essay. Crafting a compelling
narrative that captivates the reader while maintaining a chronological or thematic order adds an
additional layer of complexity. Transitioning seamlessly between different phases of life and
ensuring a coherent storyline is a skill that requires careful planning and revision.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Examples Of Autobiography Essays" entails
navigating the intricacies of personal storytelling, self-reflection, and maintaining a delicate
balance between subjectivity and objectivity. It's a task that demands both emotional resilience
and a strong command of storytelling techniques. For those seeking assistance or examples to
guide their own autobiographical essays, resources like HelpWriting.net can provide valuable
support and inspiration. Similar essays and more can be explored to gain insights into the art of
autobiographical writing.

Wildlife Conservation in India
1.Meaning Of Wildlife
Wildlife includes all non domesticated plants, animals and other organisms.
Domesticating wild plant and animal species for human benefit has occurred many
times all over the planet, and has a major impact on the environment, both positive
and negative. Wildlife can be found in all ecosystems. Deserts, rain forests, plains,
and other areas including the most developed urban sites, all have distinct forms of
wildlife. While the term in popular culture usually refers to animals that are
untouched by human factors, most scientists agree that wildlife around the world is
impacted by human activities.
Humans have historically tended to separate civilization from wildlife in a number of
ways including the legal, social, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Project Elephant PE in short was launched in February 1992. It is a central
sponsored scheme that intended to provide all kinds of support to the elephant
bearing states in India, be it financial or technical for protection of elephants and
their habitats. Elephants, the gentle giants of the forests are much loved in India and
this project was launched when their numbers started decreasing at an alarming rate.
The Project Elephant in India also aimed to decrease the human elephant battles and
help in the welfare of domesticated elephants in India. Though project elephant was
launched with much enthusiasm years ago, but it has still not led to as much
increase in the number of elephants as it was expected. Wildlife conservationists
state that the progress has been real slow and people in charge of the project are
themselves not very clear of the causes of decline in the number of elephants. Project
Elephant tries to ensure a free movement for the elephants and thus conserve large
areas for them that are called elephant reserve range .

Digital Technology Is Changing The Early Years Of...
Technology is changing the world around us. When today s children begin to enter
the workforce, they will be expected to be extremely computer literate. To get
students where they need to be by the time they graduate high school, computer
literacy must begin in the early years of elementary education. Why should teachers
be concerned? Donald Leu, Jr., (2008) tells us that the nature of literacyand learning
is begin redefined by digital technologies such as the World Wide Web (WWW), e
mail, digitized works of children s literature, and electronic chat rooms. Labbo and
Reinking (1999) suggest that e mail promotes opportunities for reading and writing
for purposes that have personal meaning as well as for encouraging more
collaborative projects and interchanges among students. Bringing the WWW into
classrooms encourages teachers and students to move away from limiting reading
and discussion to the content of a textbook and provides opportunities to more
critically consider the sources of information. Mark Warschauer (2007) says the rapid
diffusion of new technologies will greatly impact the nature of learning and literacy.
He refers to the invention of the printing press, which transformed literacy in the
second half of the last millennium. He and others believe that digital technology will,
in the long run, have as much impact on learning and literacy as did the printing
press (Warschauer 2007). How teachers respond to and use these new developments
will determine how
Water Quality Of Water Pollution
The purpose of the succeeding article is to weigh the opinions of two different
sources concerning the topic of water pollution. Many people neglect the water issue
due to the fact that it does not necessarily pertain to them. However, there are several
complications that should definitely be brought to awareness among the public. This
article uses two sources to explain why and how the activities of humans contributes
to the poisoning of the world s water supply, and how the articles use argumentative
such as ethos, logos, and pathos to justify and compare their position. A

how certain cases have caused errors in infants to appeal to the emotions of those

The Significant Dichotomy In Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Sinner or saint is a significant dichotomy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Several
characters are able to bridge this: Spike and Buffy being two of the notable
examples, playing both roles throughout the series. However, the female vampires of
the series consistently fall into the latter category of sinner, and not only that, but a
sexually deviant or hyper sexualized sinner. There are no recurring female vampires
in the show that do not become categorized in this extreme way. Drusilla was once a
nun, but once turned, all of that religious devotion disappears. Willow is only a
vampirein two different episodes, The Wish and Döppelgangland, yet the
transformation that she undertakes is memorable. This essay will discuss how female

These are two characters where this hyper sexuality is clear and overt, but it does
not lessen the sexualization of the two other recurring female vampires in the
show: Darla and Harmony. However, when considering the background of these
two characters and their personalities before they were turned, the general
stereotype of sexual allure was applicable to their human lives as well as their
vampire lives. Darla was a prostitute who was dying of syphilis when the Master
turned her. She is able to use her human experiences to help seduce victims for
food or the Master s plans. In the first episode of BtVS, she appears to be the prey
of a man who brings her to Sunnydale High, but the audience quickly realizes that
she is actually the predator. Similarly, Harmony is a ditzy character before she is
turned into a vampire. Once turned, she remains a nuisance to Buffy and her gang
of Scoobies. Her personality does not get an overhaul and she is still willing to settle
for any one will give her attention, power or popularity. Neither of these aspects are
surprising based on how the characters are written even as humans. The audience
does not expect vampires to turn
Data Structure Of Using Hash Table
Overview:
Hashing in terms of encryption is the conversion of a word into a usually fixed
length value or key that represents the original word. Hashing is used to index and
retrieve items in a database because it is faster to find the item using the shorter
hashed key than to find it using the original value. It basically uses a hash function to
convert the word into the key. Hash function is one that is used to map data of
random size to data of fixed size. Values that are returned from a hash function are
called as hash values, hash codes, or hash sums. It mainly uses hash table as a data
structure to look up data rapidly. There will be no two words with same hash value,
otherwise collision occurs between the two words.
In software programming, a hash table or hash map is a data structure that is used
to execute an array i.e. it is a structure that can map keys to values. A hash function
is used to determine an index value for an array of buckets or slots, with which we
can find the correct value. A good hash function with an algorithm are essential for
good performance of the hash table though it can be difficult to achieve. A basic
requirement of a hash function is that it should provide distribution of hash values
uniformly. If the distribution is non uniform, it increases the number of collisions and
the cost of resolving them. Uniformity can be evaluated by observing statistical tests.
If for example there exists uniform distribution only for table sizes that are
Christian Meta-Narrative In The Book Of Revelation
It is said that the basic Christian meta narrative of history is present throughout the
Book of Revelation. But, what does this mean? First one must understand simply
what a meta narrative is. A meta narrative is a narrative or story which claims to
explain something totally. The Christian meta narrative provides a theological
worldview centered on Jesusvictory at the cross and derives its understanding of the
world through the teachings of the Bible. The Book of Revelationprovides for its
readers images to coincide with the Christian meta narrative. These images can later
be used to relate the themes of Revelation to how they are held true in the past,
present, and future of the world.

Revelation 20:1 15 tells how the angel of God came down and chained up the
Dragon (Satan), and then all of the souls who had died for Jesus and the word of
God came to life and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The thousand
years referenced in this bible verse was symbolic of Christ s resurrection victory
over death and how the people of God were going to share in His glorious reign.
Examples of these events can be pulled from the world, Church, and even events of
history and the Bible. This image is a particularly true representation of a time of
unrest in a country. Many wars are started and fought long and hard, but long
before the wars officially ends there can be seen an evident and certain victor. This
is especially evident when looking back upon wars fought in history. Though it did
not seem so at the time, the victor was clearly when looking back upon them from
the future. The theme of the image is interpreted to mean that Jesus Christ, the
Lamb of God, has already died and saved us from our sins; however, Satan is still
present in the world seeking the ruins of souls. The work of Satan can easily be
contradicted thanks to the victory of Jesus Christ, opening up the gates of heaven for
us and offering us redemption from our
High Demand For Computer Chips
Computer chips are widely used today in computers, phones, tablets, and other
electronics. The high demand for computer chips requires a manufacturing process
that is accurate as well as efficient. In the past, chips have been manufactured out of
many different materials including copper oxide and germanium. Today, computer
chips are manufactured using silicondue to its versatility as a semiconductorand how
readily available it is in the environment. This paper includes how silicon became an
important semiconductor, a brief history on the process of integrated chip

Different combinations of n and p type doping are used to create electronic
components such as transistors, capacitors, and diodes. Silicon became the top
semiconductor in the 1960s due to the oxide layer it forms, its ability to perform at
higher temperatures, and its availability in nature. When exposed to air, silicon
forms a silicon dioxide layer on its surface that serves as an excellent insulator
allowing for small interference between different components. Compared to
germanium, silicon is able to perform at higher temperatures which becomes
important when there are several different components on a chip operating and
generating heat. Silicon is also readily available in nature, as it is a main
component in sand whereas germanium is difficult to extract in large quantities
making it more expensive. Computer processors and graphics processors have
become increasingly advanced over the past 15 years, and require a process that is
able to lay billions of transistors in a short amount of time. This process starts out
with a silicon wafer, which is made from sand that it is melted down and extruded
into a cylinder of perfect silicon lattices. This cylinder is cut into several eighteen
inch diameter disks that are close to one millimeter thick. The silicon wafer is then
annealed to remove the internal stresses of the lattice and then an
The Effects Of Sleep Disturbances On Military Personnel
Major Effects On Military Personnel
Military personnel are exposed to traumatic events and experiences that can cause
several serious side effects. Two major effects on military personnel due to war are
sleep disturbances and relationship problems. This discussion post will examine sleep
disturbances and relationship problems during deployment and post deployment,
along with the interventions that can be implemented in each.
Sleep Disturbances
One of the most common side effects military personnel experience from war is
sleep disturbance (Peterson, Goodie, Satterfield, Brim, 2008). Statistics show one
third of military personnel report having some kind of sleep disturbance (Mysliwiec
et al., 2013). During deployment, military personnel experience the pressure and
stress of combat, leading to sleep disturbances (Mysliwiec et al., 2013). Military
personnel can continue to have sleep disturbances even after post deployment. The
traumatic experiences and combat exposure does not leave individuals cognition ...

High levels of trauma often make it difficult for soldiers to be good spouses (Goff,
Crow, Reisbig, Hamilton, 2007). When soldiers go off to war, they are physically
leaving behind their spouse and when they return home they can become emotionally
unavailable (Goff et al., 2007). Not being emotionally invested in the marriage and
relationship can lead to marriage dissatisfaction and poor communication (Goff et al.,
2007). Military personnel are often invested in their own emotions and what they
have experienced, that the spouse is left with attachment issues, chronic stress from
partners PTSD, and heightened physiological reactivity to partners negative
interactions (Renshaw, Rodrigues, Jones, 2008). It is essential for each partner to
communicate their feelings and work through the issues before it is to late and the

three group of shoppers depend on the amount of money they have or is given. In
these groups, I am an undecided shopper, who looks for both sales and would buy

Now, an unlimited shopper is a shopper who has no limit. These shoppers could

either their high paying job, husbands, parents, or loans from rich friends etc. I could

The Olympic Games and Media Coverage
A very popular and large sporting event that receives an extremely high volume of
national media coverage is the Olympic Games. For a number of years, major
stations like NBC has provided audiences with an around the clock coverage of the
Games. Many other major medias similar to NBC have also done the same by
devoted sections solely to the Olympic Games. The Olympics is a time where citizens
come together to root for their home country, strengthening their sense of nationalism
and pride and cheering for their home athletes to come out victoriously and the
country as a powerhouse of the world. Organically, the games give off a sense of war

Use Of Verbal Irony In The Pardoner s Tale
Throughout The Pardoner s Tale, the literary elements verbal irony and situational
irony reveal the theme that greed is the root of all evil. First, one rioter tells his
friend, Trust me... you needn t doubt my word. I won t betray you, I ll be true
(Chaucer 130). The rioter s use of verbal irony helps to reveal the theme by
showing how greed can cause someone to do things they would not normally do.
The rioter s use of irony means the opposite of what it states; it is a warning to not
trust the rioter. This quote shows how greed has overcome the rioter, and he plans
to do evil things to achieve the gold. Another use of verbal irony is when the
youngest rioter says to the apothecary, Sell me some poison if you will, I have a lot
of rats

The US Housing Market Bubble
When researching past economic recoveries, the housing market is the one to drive
the economy out of recession. That being said, this economic recession hasn t had
much of an impact until recently. America s housing boom had a tremendous
influence on the economy for its low prices and flow of new home construction.
The new construction market in the mid 2000 s was flourishing. People saw
building a home as an opportunity for a solid investment because prices and rates
were so low that certain homes could depreciate extremely slowly. However, there
would be a negative effect from all this low cost new construction and few were
aware of just how devastating it would be to the new construction market.
In 2005, the market was flooded with a vast array of homes that were all selling at
a low price, and this allowed people to buy and sell homes with minimal effort.
Banks were being reckless with their lending, not giving enough attention to who
they were giving mortgages to, as virtually anybody with a decent credit score could
go to a bank and get a mortgage, sometimes without even going to see if the land
and ability for development was there. This created a housing bubble in 2006, and
would inevitably come back to hurt a wide range of industries, but few were as
damaged as the new construction industry.
Once things started to get bad, they got really bad for a lot of families who were
given mortgages, who were not properly qualified. There was a major spike in
defaults, with
Netherlands vs. United States Essay
When thinking of the Netherlands, or Holland as most people recognize it, what
comes to mind is typically a picture of a blond haired girl wearing wooden shoes
and holding a basket of bread standing in a field of tulips with a windmill turning in
the background, or the idea of standing in a busy city in the red light district
surrounded by bicyclists, drunk teenagers and people selling drugs legally. While
both cliches hold their own truth about the country, much more lies beneath the tulips
and drugs. Because the Netherland s government focuses on the overall well being of

Both constitutions, for example, protect the people s rights very similarly. Just like
in the United States, the Dutch people have been protected with laws of freedom of
religion and freedom of speech ( Background ). Though the similarities, however,
many statistics set the two apart. One might think that because the Netherlands
leniency toward drugs and alcohol is high that it would result in higher crime rates
and lower quality of health, but this assumption is false. Not only do statistics show
that the Netherlands has a lower crime rate, but they also have have longer life
expectations, happiness levels, and overall satisfaction with life compared to the
United States ( Europe: Netherlands ; North America: Untied States ). As for the
crime rates, the Netherlands consistently scores significantly lower than the United

The Juvenile Justice System And Juveniles
When it comes to discussing the criminal justice system and juveniles, there have
been many landmark cases that have made a significant impact on the juvenile
justice system. The cases arise from dealing with certain aspects that comes from
handling juveniles entering the system. Since juveniles are very different from
adults they have to deal with them a certain way and a case by case basis. The
court cases concerning juveniles and the decisions that have come from them is
what has made what the juvenile justice system is today. Juveniles are not treated
the same as adults since juveniles are not ad developed as adults common sense
wise. They don t always know what is right from wrong and sometimes they do not
have guidance or good influences around them helping them in the right direction. In
class we have learned that instead of punishing them, the goal of the juvenile justice
system is based on rehabilitation. For instance, juveniles cannot be sentenced to
death if under the age of 18 and also can not be given the sentences of life without
parole because they consider these punishments cruel and unusual for juveniles. If the
system is able to rehabilitate them and give them the tools they need, they have a
second chance at changing their lives for the better and getting away from all of the
crimes. They rather try to send them to programs or to complete community service
to better themselves instead of giving them hard time. The court cases that I will
discuss is what
Royal Bodies
Royal Bodies
Royal Bodies is a speech by Hilary Mantel, an award winning and bestselling
English writer. Hilary Mantel, born in 1952, is particularly famous for her historical
novels. On February 21 2013, at a book lecture at the British Museum, she held a
speech, in which she commented on the British monarchy.
Hilary Mantel starts her speech by telling how she, last summer, was asked to
name a famous person and choose a book to give them. She chose Kate, the
Duchess of Cambridge, a jointed doll on which certain rags are hung . This is a
good way to start the speech because Hilary Mantel has now introduced her real
purpose with the speech: to discuss the effect of monarchy.

In this quote she indicates that the royal family are like trapped caged animals that
the public never really know, and that that is something perhaps to be regretted. The
royal family is, according to Hilary, a thing that is expensive to conserve, but
interesting to look at and that is also the only reason that they exist.
Today monarchy has become an attraction, which flashes every side of the royal
family. Hilary Mantel believes that we are looking at royalties as if they were
figures or dolls, who we can treat as we want to. We always have a comment to what
they are wearing, if they look good or not, what they are doing right or wrong etc. We
are allowing monarchy to treat its persons as entertainment objects.
I m not asking for censorship. I m not asking for pious humbug and smarmy
reverence. I m asking us to back off not be brutes . In this quote Hilary says that we
need to stand back, and this is clearly her goal with her speech. We need to allow the
royalties to be humans as well.
Hilary Mantel s speech is tendentious and personal, because only one her own
opinion is presented. Looked at the speech objectively it is weak because of the lack
of proof, since she is only arguing with her own personal opinion.
In the speech there is an illustration of Paul Emsley s portrait of Kate Middleton. She
describes it like this: But in her first

worldwide. It is arguably the most recognizable name in the specialty coffee
industry. The company was founded by Gerald Baldwin, Gordon Bowker, and Ziev

Howard Schultz, who joined the team in 1982, later bought out his partners and
fashioned his new stores after the Milan, Italy coffee customs he observed during his
travels there. His intent was to establish his coffee houses as a third place behind
home and work. He wanted to make neighborhood coffee houses a regular social

philosophy was that satisfied employees lead to satisfied customers. Partners
receive both hard skills (the specific operational talents) and the soft skills
(customer satisfaction focus). To accomplish Starbucks objective of becoming the
most recognized and respected brand in the world they relied on aggressive,
diversified expansion to take advantage of the specialty coffee popularity,
introduced new products, and added store value cards (SVC s) and Wi Fi hotspots
for its customers. The 1992 prosperous, educated, white collar, older demographic
customer majority was evolving into a more diverse clientele in 2002 that was less
affluent, less educated, and younger. Baristas were called upon to serve more
customized drink orders and at the same time adhere to the three minute rule for
the time it takes to get the order filled. At the same time, they were supposed to

program called Customer Snapshot that evaluated Basic Services (service,
cleanliness, product quality, and speed of service) and Legendary Service (partners
going the extra mile to satisfy customers). In 1992, because whole bean coffee made

Rankine is fed up with having her identity gradually erased from her, because of

only expected to go up in the coming years, as long the problem of not enough room
in shelters exist.
In addition to the individual homeless population growing, the streets of Marin will
see another consequence that the county faces due to this problem. The community
will see a significant increase in the number of homeless families. Marin now more
than before is seeing more families living on the streets. According to Marin county,
as of January 29, 2015 there was a total of 1,309 homeless people. That is a 38%
increase since January 2013. However, that count does not account for those
homeless who find alternative shelters, such as, cars, and under passes. Another study
revealed that 15% of the overall homeless population are families with children. 35%
of those surveyed for the 2015 count said that this was their first time experiencing
homelessness. 51% said that they had been homeless for a year or more (Marin
County Census). With these alarming statistics, it has become quite clear what the
impact of lack of shelter spaces in Marin County has done a significant amount of
damage to the community.
Home values will decrease as the homeless population increases. People believe that
if there are shelters near their homes that the value will decrease significantly.
Having homeless people lingering around one s house can be disturbing to residents,
especially in Marin for those who pride
Misfortunes Of RamГrez
The Misfortunes of Alonso RamГrez describes the adventures of RamГrez, a poor
Spanish American carpenter from Puerto Rico, taken captive by British pirates and
who voyaged with them for two years. The book portrays RamГrez as a victim while
emphasizing the graphic depictions of English buccaneer cruelty in order to serve
RamГrez and the Mexican Viceroy s purposes. However, through careful
examination of the story, I believe that he indeed was a pirate, and will explain so in
this essay by arguing four points: first, that RamГrez headed towards familiar territory
due to the lack of paperwork for his belongings, second, his lack of explanation of
why he did not escape whenever possible, third, his ownershipof special weapons, and
lastly, the words chosen to narrate the story. To begin, RamГ

However, Cornelio washed his hands, and blamed RamГrez and his men for planning
this mutiny. The Captain charged RamГrez of treason and sedition (129). If RamГrez
was indeed an outsider like he claimed, he would not have used the words treason
or sedition, as he could not have betrayed someone that did not confide in him on
the first place. Others may say that this indeed would be words used by a victim, as
they would certainly betray their oppressors and revolt against them. Yet, if RamГrez
was indeed an outsider, he would not be betraying them, he would only be acting as
expected from a captive. In conclusion, despite the ambiguous portrayal of RamГrez s
relationship with the English raiders, through close examination of the text, one is
able to conclude that RamГrez was a pirate himself. RamГrez s desire to reach
familiar land, not fleeing when opportunity presented itself, his ownership of
weapons acquired in his travels, and the phrases used to describe his actions against
the English, bring me to conclude that he indeed was

Seneca Falls Convention Research Paper
Prior to the Seneca Falls Convention and the women s rights movements, women
were mistreated and limited in many ways. The Seneca Falls Convention brought a
lot of attention to women s rights and eventually led to what they are able to do
today. In 1831, the Second Great Awakening was happened across the northern part
of the United States. Charles Grandison Finney allowed women to lead prayer with
men. In 1832, William Lloyd Garrison called for women to be involved in the anti
slavery movement. Lucretia Mottmet Elizabeth Cady Stantonwhen both attended the

A two day period convention led by Elizabeth Stanton and Lucretia Mott. The
document that they produced is called the Declaration of Sentiments which was
declaring the rights of women modeled on the Declaration of Independence. It listed
the grievances that women wanted to address that they didn t have consent of the
governed. They couldn t earn employment at their own will and couldn t go to school
for higher education. The property they obtained before and during the marriage went
to the man. If the man left the woman, they have no rights and divorce at their own
wills. They can t serve on juries. The most controversial issue is that they didn t
have the right to vote. Lucretia Mott was against that as were a lot of women had
thought that it was outrageous that women would have the right to vote, there it
actually ended up being included. Frederick Douglass, the african american
abolitionist from Rochester New York who ran the North Star, gave a speech at the
end of the second day which he eloquently and powerfully argued for women s right

Prior to calling Mr. Anderson I would review his chart for information regarding
his blood pressure readings, glucose and A1C levels over the last 6 months to
determine a baseline for comparison to now. Secondly, if the clinic has a certified
diabetes educator (CDE) on staff I would arrange referral and schedule an
appointment. I would reassure the patient he may change the appointment time if
needed and provided contact information. In the meantime I would gather printed
material to mail to the patient as reinforcement for topic discussed in the phone call
as well as basic information regarding diabetes. However, I would begin the
conversation by addressing Mr. Anderson s concerns up front to build rapport and

studies in older adults demonstrating the benefits of intensive glycemic, blood
pressure, and lipid control. In addition, patients who can be expected to live long
enough to reap the benefits of long term intensive diabetes management, who have
good cognitive and physical function, and who choose to do so via shared decision
making may be treated using therapeutic interventions and goals similar to those
for younger adults with diabetes. That being said we can assume that Mr.
Anderson falls into this category of older adult or at least I will proceed with that
thought in mind. How would you help Mr. Anderson understand why it is

Baking Soda and Vinegar: Limiting Reactant Lab
Background
The limiting reactant of a chemical reaction is the substance that places an upper
bound on the amount of product that the reaction can produce. The limiting reactant
places this upper bound because the reaction must stop once all of the limiting
reactant is consumed. If the relative amount of reactants is altered, then the limiting
reactant may change accordingly. For example, a balanced chemical equation of a
certain reaction specifies that an equal number of moles of two substances A and B
is required. If there are more moles of B than of A, then A is the limiting reactant
because it is completely consumed when the reaction stops and there is an excess of
B left over. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
5.Position gas collecting hose so it runs from reaction vessel through gas collecting
box to opening of the graduated cylinder. The idea is that any gas coming through
the tube will rise in the graduated cylinder and displace the water in it.
6.Record the amount of air, if any, in the top of the graduated cylinder.
7.Quickly add the vinegar to the reaction vessel and stopper the opening.
8.When the reaction is completed, record the volume of gas in the graduated cylinder.
Record observations about which reactant was the limiting reactant.
9.Repeat the procedure with a new mass of baking soda. Before beginning, rinse the
reaction vessel with water. Refill the graduated cylinder with water. Check water
level in collection box so it has room for the water from the graduated cylinder.
10.Clean up: Rinse reaction vessel, empty collection box, dry table as needed,
cleanup up any baking soda spills..

Similarities Between Wizard Of Oz And Wicked
Wizard of Oz and Wicked. Two very different stories both sharing the same
characters and setting. The two plots are so masterfully intertwined, but showing
two very different points of view. Although they share so many similarities,
relationships and conflicts between the two are very different. Glinda maybe isn t
so good after all, Elphaba was just trying to do what was right, and the Wizard was
the real villain all along. To truly see things as they really are, both sides of a story
must be acknowledged and understood, or else someone else s story will be lost.
The Wizard of Oz is a classic known by all. The plot is fairly simple. Poor bored
Dorothy is sick of her normal boring life on her Aunt and Uncles farm in Kansas
and decides to run away to a more exciting life. Her plans are changed when she
meets a fortune teller who convinces her to go back home. Unfortunately, as she is
headed back home a horrible storm starts and she and her dog Toto are blown
away, along with her house. When she lands, she comes outside to see that she has
landed on a person with red shoes. She is met by tiny people and a witch called
Glinda who tells her that she has landed on and killed the Wicked Witch of the East.
Dorothy tells Glinda she wants to go home, and Glinda tells her if she follows the
yellow brick road she will end up in the Emerald City where the Wonderful Wizard of
Oz can help get her home.
Along the yellow brick road, she meets a scarecrow who wants a brain, a tin man who
The Myth And Possibility Of Cellulite
Cellulite is a common cosmestic condition that most women (and even some men)
have to deal with at some point in their lives. Surprisingly, there is a lot of
misinformation about such familiar condition. So before freaking out about cellulite,
let s have a look at what it really is, what causes it and how to make it go away. What
is cellulite? Cellulite refers to the dimples and bumps that usually appear on the
thighs, hips and buttocks. It is the result of the underlying fat being pushed against
the connective tissues, making the skin look lumpy. Although cellulite is not harmful
to your health, its unattractive look may cause you to think twice before trying on
your swimming suits. The most obvious symptoms of cellulite are decreased elasticity

The easiest option is probably cellulite creams. These creams claim to smooth the
skin texture by dissolving the fat underneath it. Nevertheless, the active ingredient
of cellulite creams is aminophylline, which is prescibed for asthma. In addition to
the lack of scientific evidence of their effectiveness against cellulite, these creams
could cause allergic reaction and is harmful to people with circulatory condition.
Massages can smooth the skin temporarily. However, as the problem lies in the fat
beneath, external massages do not get rid of cellulite. For more stable improments,
you should consider mesotherapy a therapy involving the injection of vitamins,
minerals, amino acids and enzymes to break down fat and fix the skin texture.
Liposuction is another available option. It is a surgical procedure aimed to suck out
the fat deposits. Recently, the FDA has also approved the use of laser energy for

Lucille Clifton Forgiving My Father Summary
The Invisible Supporter In the poem Forgiving My Father by Lucille Clifton, the
reader embarks on a journey with the narrator as she explains the problems she has
with her father. The girl is telling the story from the funeral of her father claiming that
she is coming to collect what her father owes her mother. As the story plays out, the
girl realizes that the issues she is having with her father is rooting from his
childhood. Clifton uses the narrator to show different examples of imagery and
symbolism to represent the absence of support from her father in her family. Right
away the poem starts to develop its first use of imagery as the narrator begins
painting a picture of someone having to pay bills at the end of the week. Within the...

The girl expresses these feelings when she tells her father, there is no more time
for you. there will/ never be time enough daddy... (ll. 8 9). Those words represent
the girl s anger and shows the reader how her patience is ending for her father after
everything that was did to her mother before her passing. Although her father is
now deceased the reader can still see the anger and impatience the girl shows her
father. Shortly after the girl expresses how she feels about giving her father time,
she tells him that, I wish you were rick so I could take it all/ and give the lady what
she was due... (ll. 10 11). This statement illustrates how the girl wishes she could
take everything from her father if it was possible. By wanting to take everything
from her father, the narrator paints an image of all the bitterness the girl is holding
inside of her. However, after the girl lets her bitterness be known, she then begins
to kind of defend her father in a sense. The girl starts to explain how her father
became the way he is now by saying, you were the only son of a needy father, / the
father of a needy son... (ll. 12 13). The comments present the reader with the ability
to see that the father s ways are not his own fault, but they are the outcome of being

different backgrounds got together and discussed about what arts should focus on

one name jumped into my mind, James Rhodes, a rising British pianist. He was
abused by his teacher back into teenage time, and this tragic experience brought him
not only physical harms but also mental illness. He got involved into some drug

The Origins And Consequences Of The August 25 Uprising
In Bruce K. Rutherford s writing Egypt: The Origins and Consequences of the
January 25 Uprising Rutherford identifies the five key political actors/entities that
are important in contemporary Egyptian politics. He recognizes the liberals, the
Muslim Brotherhood, the Salafis, the military and remnants of the old regime as
being some of the primary instigators in Egypt today. (Rutherford) When Mubarak
was ousted in 2011, the citizens of Egypt identifying with liberal political views
split into several political parties such as the: Wafd, Justice Party, Free Egyptians,
Democratic Front Party, Social Democratic Party and the Free Egypt Party. The
overarching interest of these liberal groups is to establish a liberal democracy in
Egypt. They want to see constitutional order within Egypt in which military and
religious institutions do not play a role in politics, but where the people run the
government and the political system, best representing their (the majority s) interests.
These liberal groups generally campaign for an elected parliament, state power being
divided into three branches, and equal rights for all of Egypt s citizens paying no
mind to race or gender, with the government protecting all of its citizens basic rights.
(Rutherford) The primary interests of the moderate Muslim Brotherhood have
fluctuated in the past based upon who were the strong individual figures within the
organization. The Muslim Brotherhood has its own political partyThe Freedom and

Almost all the governing institutes and regimes around the world have concerned
about green marketing activities that they have endeavored to regulate them. For
example, in the United States (US) the Federal Trade Commission and the
National Association of Attorneys General have created broad records looking at
green advertising. There has been little try to scholastically inspect ecological or

undertaking. The phrasing utilized as a part of this range has fluctuated, it
incorporates: Green Marketing, Environmental Marketing and Ecological
Marketing. While green advertising became a force to be reckoned with in the late
1980s and mid 1990s, it was initially talked about much before. The American
Marketing Association (AMA) held the first workshop on Biological Marketing in
1975. The procedures of this workshop brought about one of the first books on

George W. Bush. I will be using material I have learned from my Survey of

weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of George W. Bush. In addition I will be

W. Bush. I will start my Strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats analysis of

According to our textbook written in 2016, Peter Northouse describes the skills
model of leadership with an area for competencies which includes knowledge from
career experiences. Bush held numerous positions that gave him knowledge on
leadership abilities before becoming the president. From his brief military career to
his oil company ventures then moving to politics, Bush gained much knowledge
through his various career experiences. According to Tannenbaum and Schmidt, there
is a continuum of leadership behavior that varies with use of authority by the
manager to freedom of the subordinates. To explain this leadership concept we have
learned in class, we can discuss the presidency of Bush. During Bush s time in office,
Bush explemfied forms of leadership throught the continuum of leadership behavior.
One on side, Bush had to delegate resposibilities to various parts of his staff, he also
had to consult on multiple occasions with experienced indivuals on matters such as
the economy and military, and finally he had to make ultimate decisions because he
was the president. Also Northouse brings to our attention Blake and Mouton s
Managerial Grid. In this grid it describes team management as the type of leader that
has a high concern for people and concern for results. An example of this leadership
concept with Bush is during his presidency he had to work
Arguments Against Pseudonyms
The ever increasing amount of people utilizing the internet as a means of
communication has led to many interesting phenomena. One that can be easily
observed on many online forums is the use of pseudonyms instead of actual names.
The ability to utilize pseudonyms when creating online profiles allows people to
protect their identities, enabling them to freely voice their opinions without fear of
retaliation. When browsing through online commentsections and social media, it is
common to come across people writing under pseudonyms. The reasons for using an
alias can be many; while there are people that utilize online anonymityas a way of
shielding their personal life from internetbacklash, others choose to abuse anonymity
in order to spew... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the article Online Anonymity Protects Marginalized Groups, the author argues
that online anonymity is used by marginalized groups to preserve their privacy.
The venues the author refers to are the social networks Facebook and Google Plus,
which have real name policies that forbid the use of pseudonyms (Boyd, par. 7).
The author attempts to answer if said policies protect users or if they increase user
vulnerability. She states that the stakeholders in this issue are those most affected
by prohibiting pseudonyms and nicknames, the vulnerable and marginalized
members of society such as abuse survivors, activists, LGBT [lesbian, gay,
bisexual, and transgender] people, women, and young people (Boyd, par. 3). The
values attached to the issue are those of safety, as people often utilize pseudonyms
to preserve their physical and mental health, as well as that of their families (Boyd,
par. 2). Boyd is against the enforcement of real name policies because it exposes
those who need protection, arguing that you don t guarantee safety by stopping
people from using pseudonyms, but you do undermine people s safety by doing so
(Boyd, par. 11). The author concludes that enforcing real names policies in online
spaces is an abuse of power (Boyd, par. 12). The solution she presents is simply not
enforcing real name
Gays Should Have A Positive Impact On A Child s Life
In our fast paced society the Norms are changing and evolving for Homosexuals and
their rights. Every child in foster care, and adoption agencies deserve to have a
family regardless of the parents Sexual orientation. The United States is considered a
liberal country if that is so, then homosexuals should have the right to adopt a child in
the United States.
Homosexuals adopting will have a positive impact on a child s life. The child will
finally have a stable home and family to grow up in. The article mentions how
children adopted by homosexuals are mentally stable. In the article Homosexusals
should be allowed to adopt they state Child experts point out gay men and lesbians
are just as good parent as Heterosexual peers (Hunt and Krehely). Homosexuals can
give as much love to a child as a heterosexual couple. A child will not grow up with
psychological problems they will institute themselves in society just like a child
who was raised by a Heterosexual couple. A child won t be traumatized because
they have two moms or two dads as parents. In fact, in the article A Family Does
Not Include a Mother and a Father she states along the lines of, adopted kids will
be more successful in their academics and will have less behavioral issue exhibited
in their teen and childhood (Friedrichs). Placing a child in a homosexual home will
let the child live in a more positive atmosphere it will let the child feel safer and
express more openly their feelings. This is a great
Hermia And Lysander Themes
Oberon is connected to some of the major themes of love in the play. The major
theme of course, being course of true love never did run smooth. And he is
connected to this theme in two different angles. One being with Titania. Both of them
are of course the fairy gods who, when they clash rip apart nature and ruin many a
humans lives. Imagine if they got along, but they don t. This is connected to how true
loves path isn t smooth, and this is particularly evident in their relationship. Another
way we can see how Oberon is connected to this theme is with his meddling in other
people s affairs. Such as when he creates the love juice and manufactures a situation
where Hermiaand Lysander s true love is broken apart seen in this example, when...

His love juice and its usage also shows another theme. Such as love is irrational.
When he uses his juice on Lysander, he also contributes to this theme when Lysander
springs up from his slumber and loves Helena seen here, Not Hermia, but Helena I
love (2.2 113). His sudden maturing and affection for Hermia which is of course is
due to Oberon s love juice, shows the theme of how love is irrational. With how
Lysander has loved Hermia, but all of a sudden loves Helena, and their is only one
explanation for it. And that is that love is an unexplainable thing with no
rationality whatsoever. The symbols I chose to represent the major themes Oberon
shows are hearts. One of the themes he shows is that love is irrational for this I
have the pi symbol inside of a heart. The heart more obviously represents love and
pi is the most famous example of an irrational number, therefore when pairing the
two together you get a symbol which represents one of the major themes in the play.
The other symbol I chose to represent the other theme Oberon contributes to which is
course of true love never did run smooth is a broken heart with a piece of tape

The Problems of Balancing School, Job, and Family
The Problems of Balancing School, Job, and Family
In today s century it is essential to have an education to enhance your job and
provide a comfortable future for your family. After having children we realize that
education is significant in order to succeed. While working takes a lot of time away
from family, adding school to your schedule makes it difficult to spend quality time
with your children. The problem most people face with balancing school, work, and
family is being an excellent student, an outstanding employee, and a caring parent all
in the same day.
These chronic and systematic harms place a heavy burden financially, logistically,
and psychologically. With these three components you will first start managing
your time by making a list of your daily schedule followed by responsibility for
your assignments and matters. Any decision to leave all of your assignments for
another time closer to the deadline will only help to accumulate work that you will
end up not having enough time to do. Time is a very important resource in life, so
you have to manage very wisely.
When living in these conditions it is important that you have your family support in
order to continue your journey and enhance psychological ability to accomplish your
goals. When it comes to balance work and school, there are several academic systems
around the world that permit people that are not able to attend campus to obtain their

Do people fall in love? Patricia Highsmith. Romeo and Juliet was the beginning of the
tragedy of themselves as star crossed lovers. The purpose of this essay overall is to
show how I agree with Shakespeare that Romeo and Juliet were star crossed lovers
whose fate did not end good. What are star crossed lovers? According to Webster
Dictionary star crossed lovers is a pair of lovers that are not lucky and have bad
luck. Star crossed lovers refers to any lovers whose affection for each other is
doomed to end in tragedy. Lovers whose relationship is foredoomed is said to be
frustrated by the stars (Webster Dictionary.) Those who believe in astrology claim
that the stars control human destiny. Anybody who is considered to be in a star

(The Hunger Games) Peeta and Katniss were doomed from the beginning because
they were both partaking in the games. Juliet and Romeo could not be together
because of their families. Both couples were cursed from the start. Without the
Gamemakers faces. They d have failed the Capitol. Might possibly even be
executed, slowly, and painfully while the cameras broadcast it to every screen in
the country, (The Hunger Games.) Katniss and Peeta were both willing to commit
suicide instead of killing one another. The Games wanted the star crossed lovers to
be the last ones, so they could watch one of them sacrifice their life for the other. In
Romeo and Juliet they both took their lives so they could be together. What have
they done to you? Katniss asked Peeta (Mockingjay Part One.) Peeta was hijacked,
tortured, and brainwashed by the Capitol until he thought Katniss was his #1 enemy.
He wanted to hurt Katniss really bad. She never gave up on Peeta and she did not
think Peeta was horrible. When the nurse told Juliet about Romeo killing Tybalt who
was Juliet s cousin she was devastated. The nurse was badmouthing Romeo, but Juliet
responded and defended her husband. Despite Romeo becoming a murderer Juliet s

In the book, he discusses wrestling all over the independent circuits. This included
shows throughout Japan, Germany, Ireland, the United States, and his favorite place
England. Happily, he tells of his time in Shawn Michaels wrestling school and his
time with fellow wrestler Brian Kendrick. Further along he gives credit to his true
mentor and life long friend William Regal for introducing him to the wrestling
style of the United Kingdom. He also describes his first attempt at the WWE, and
his firing just weeks later. Later he tells of his desire to form a new wrestling
promotion called Evolve. Sadly, though he never got the chance to start the
promotion and now his idea is one of the largest wrestling promotions within the
U.S. Finally, he wraps it all up with him being rehired by the WWE, meeting his
wife Brie, and as they say the rest is history. At the beginning of each chapter, it
also encompasses the week leading up to WrestleMania dubbed WrestleMania

Argumentative Essay On Women In Combat
Women have been in combat since the beginning; when tribes fought over food and
other materials. As centuries went on, women such as Joan of Arc and Bodecia
fought as warriors. Women donned men s clothing during the Revolutionary War,
the American Civil War, and the Spanish American War and fought before being
discovered when hurt or dead. These women include Deborah Sampson she served
for over a year in General Washington s army and Molly Pitcher, a water carrier,
single handedly kept a cannon in action after an artillery crew had been disabled.
These women fought just as fierce in battle as any man. Over the years there have
been mandates enacted, rules applied, laws passed, and regulations written, all aimed
at preventing women from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many might say that having women in combat in gender integrated units might add
more stress. When in fact, some studies rival that women reduce the stress levels in
the teams that they are on. A 1997 RAND Corporation study reported that in some
cases, having women in a unit might actually be beneficial for the men in the unit. (
It reported that in the gender integrated units there were fewer incidences of men
fighting and drinking to excess. The study attributed men s improved behavior to men
confiding their problems to the women to in the units, thus, reducing the stress levels
of the men. Our country s most recent conflicts have demonstrated that the military
needs women on the battlefield. We need a woman s creativity, insight, and empathy
qualities in combat. Having women in our platoons would have dramatically
increased our ability to elicit critical intelligence. Since 2011 United States Special
Operations forces in Afghanistan have embedded all female cultural support teams
in their units. The program has been lauded by commanders for gaining access to
the 50 percent of the Afghan population who have previously been inaccessible.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates in September, for instance, told ROTC students at
Duke University that he expects women to serve in special operations units, the kind
of commando teams known for stealth missions. (Press Associated). On today s
complex battlefields, social sensitivity is a crucial skill for military professionals.
Women in combat reduce the stress levels and bring creativity to the situations in
Essay about Dreams Their Analysis
Dreams Their Analysis
The assignment is to recall a dream and analyze it from one or two theoretical
perspectives we ve learned thus far in dream analysis. Dreams have been a vehicle to
express emotions, thoughts and feelings. Sometimes they pose questions which have
been rooted in our conscious. Dreams are personalized works which we have
consciously directed and created in our minds and no one interpretation is right or
wrong. Weeks later upon receiving this assignment I had an incredible dream of my
mother of which I will never forget.

I felt threatened and didn t trust crossing this bridge and my mother instinctively

bridge but watched her take her steps alone. She reached the middle of the bridge
and it collapsed. I ran towards the edge looking down at my mother as she was
struggling to hold on and trying to get a better grip. She was calling out my name,
begging me to help her, but I just stood there frozen in silence and feeling no
emotion. I saw her fingers turn white as they lost their hold one by one, until she
was holding on with just one hand. She turned her head to look at me one last time
before she lost the grip in her other hand and fell. I remember hearing no noise of her
body hitting the water, just empty silence, but the expression of her face is etched
into my memory.
Remembering this dream brings up emotions of guilt and was painful to envision.
There are many theoretical perspectives one can use to analyze such dreams.

Sigmund Freud to study what this all means and maybe find an appropriate analysis

Public Health Policy Analysis
The mission of public health in America is to encourage mental and physical health,
while at the same time, preventing injury, disability, and disease; resulting in
healthy people and communities (Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 6). Public health is
defined as, what we, as a society, do collectively to assure the conditions in which
people can be healthy (as cited in Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 7). Therefore, in
order to achieve this goal, public and private groups, individuals, as well as the
government, need to ensure that the mission is addressed and all the vital elements
are in place (Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 7). Specifically, the following three
elements make up the tiers of the public healthcore functions:
Assessment which refers to the process of thoroughly accumulating information on
the populace, monitoring their health status, and make information about the
community s health available.

However, in the future, the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) will most likely be
required for certification (Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 11). Specialists in public
health nursing are prepared at the graduate level, with a focus in public health
sciences (as cited in Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 11). In addition, they should be
able to work with population groups and to assess and intervene successfully at the
aggregate level (as cited in Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 11). Whereas, a nurse
specialist in the community focus on patients they see in a clinic or home setting
(Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 12). The focus of the nurse specialist is the individual
person, or family, in a subpopulation , for which they are solving an issue for. Also,
public health nurse specialists usually are concerned with more than one
subpopulation at a time. Frequently, they are concerned with the entire community s
health (Stanhope Lancaster, 2014, p. 12).
The Importance Of Desire For Power In Watership Down
Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is
strength, mastering yourself is true power, says Lao Tzu. The rabbits in Watership
Down that are aspiring leaders deal with a constant battle that relates perfectly to Lao
Tzu s quote. Some gain power through their stature, others through their wit, but the
truly effective leaders use the ideal attributes both from themselves and the rabbits
they are leading. The desire for power in this novel is exhibited through the aspiring
leaders Threarah and Woundwort, that lead in their own best interest, and Hazel, who

The desire for power in this novel is exhibited through the aspiring leaders Threarah
and Woundwort that lead in their own best interest. The first chief rabbitthe reader

in which Hazel and his friends populate. When Fiver, Hazel s younger brother, has a
vision about the warren being attacked, he immediately sets out to tell Threarah.
After Fiver and Hazel finally reach the distanced Threarah, he ignores them.
Threarah scolds them for interrupting his sleep and his patience. This decision is
important in displaying the desire for power in Threarah; he knows that if he listens
to Fiver he could lose everything. The task of moving the entire warren would not
only take mounds of time and effort, but the decision would also be Threarah s.

The Development Of Children In Maurice Sendak s Where
The...
Children s literature is the precedent for the development of all children. Children s
literature varies from poetry to children s picture books. Every aspect of children s
literature gives an ability to grow a child mentally and develop their ideas and
imagination. In early literature, children were romanized to be perfect and well
behaved. Author Maurice Sendak counters the idea of a perfect child in his book
Where The Wild Things Are . Sendak uses his picture book to illustrate a child s
ability to have feelings of anger, resentment, and frustration. The interviewer, Patrick
F. Roughen of Red Feather Journal states that Where the Wild Things Are (1963)
contains some of the earliest attempts in children s literature to represent the
intrapsychic challenges of the lives of children. Anger, frustration, and the
complexities of parent child relationships can be found throughout its pages .
Where the Wild Things Are reinforces the idea that children are capable of
emotions that one would imagine are only depicted in the adult world. Maurice
Sendak s inspirations for Where the Wild Things Are come from his own personal
issues. Once stated by Sendak max was his dearest creation . Max gave life to the
feelings that most adults ignore that children can have. Sendak, in his childhood,
dealt with an emotionally unavailable mother and was frequently sick. This allowed
Sendak to develop his imagination. In his childhood picture books, one can find
images of characters that

Multicultural Issues In Multicultural Education
Multicultural Issues Raquel mentions she failed the seventh grade; as a result she
was placed in special classes. She also stated she does not see the point of going to
school. Brammer (2004) mentions language barriers is a hindrance among Latin
American while in school. Many Latin Americans are bilingual; however, the will
speak little English outside of the school setting. This causes complications due to
their primary language is Spanish which is spoken by familyand friends (Brammer,
2004). Additionally, Latin American endures a vast amount of peer pressure to do
poorly in school or to drop out. One method to reduce the dropout rate of Latin
Americans is teachers can make reasonable accommodation to their lesson plan to the
address the students needs. Also involving the child s parents in their educations with
the use of interpreters can assist the child to thrive educationally (Amy Buttler,
personal communication, November 7, 2017). It is mentioned that Raquel s family
has strong ethnicity rooted in the Costa Rican lineage. Latin Americans tend to have
strong family ties that rely on the support and strength of each other. Familismo is a
part of their cultural placing high value on the family that extends past the nuclear
family (e.g. grandparents and extended familymembers) (Brammer, 2004). It is
beneficial to be close with one s family; however, Brammer (2004) mentions the
family bonds can lead to sexual exploitation of children by family members. He

He no longer knew for certain what he believed in regarding religion. He created
the Quaestiones , a set of 45 headings that described Newton s ideas and
observations regarding philosophy, religion, and science( Westfall, 26). In April of
1664, Newton was the first person to achieve a scholarship in an unconditional
course of study, the new analysis of old things and new natural philosophy. In 1672,
Newton formed his ideas and notes on hyperbolic and elliptical lenses and published
a paper on them.
After leaving Cambridge, Newton was elected to the Convention Parliament
assembled in 1689. The Parliament was assembled to solve the problems created by
the many wars and revolutions that had caused massive chaos and destruction in
England. He was the official representative of the University of Cambridge, where he
went to college.
The main achievements in Newton s life was pure mathematics in the form of
calculus, the development of optics, and the theory of gravitation, based on the
work that Galileo and others had done. Newton created the laws of calculus and his
theory of gravitation by the time he was 24. He began this work in the summer of
1664, four years after he had left grammar school.
Newton created the theories of optics by time he was 28. Newton got his ideas of
optics and graviton from Isaac Barrow. Barrow was a scientist at Cambridge.
Barrow is believed to be the intellectual father of Isaac Newton. Newton s earliest

Examples Of Autobiography Essays. Example Of Autobiography About Yourself New Autobiography A Highschool ...

  • 1. Examples Of Autobiography Essays Crafting an essay on the subject of "Examples Of Autobiography Essays" can be quite challenging due to the unique nature of autobiographical writing. The difficulty arises from the need to strike a delicate balance between personal reflection and objective storytelling. Unlike other essay genres, autobiographies require a deep exploration of one's own life experiences, which can be both emotionally taxing and intellectually demanding. Firstly, delving into personal memories and experiences demands a high level of self-awareness and introspection. Unraveling the layers of one's life story, selecting significant events, and articulating them in a coherent and engaging manner requires a keen understanding of one's own narrative. This process can be mentally and emotionally draining, as writers must confront their past, evaluate its impact, and decide which aspects to share. Secondly, maintaining objectivity while narrating personal experiences is a constant challenge. Writers must resist the temptation to romanticize or exaggerate events, as this compromises the authenticity of the autobiography. Striking the right balance between emotional resonance and factual accuracy demands careful consideration and a critical eye towards one's own narrative. Moreover, the challenge extends to the structure and flow of the essay. Crafting a compelling narrative that captivates the reader while maintaining a chronological or thematic order adds an additional layer of complexity. Transitioning seamlessly between different phases of life and ensuring a coherent storyline is a skill that requires careful planning and revision. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Examples Of Autobiography Essays" entails navigating the intricacies of personal storytelling, self-reflection, and maintaining a delicate balance between subjectivity and objectivity. It's a task that demands both emotional resilience and a strong command of storytelling techniques. For those seeking assistance or examples to guide their own autobiographical essays, resources like HelpWriting.net can provide valuable support and inspiration. • 2. Wildlife Conservation in India 1.Meaning Of Wildlife Wildlife includes all non domesticated plants, animals and other organisms. Domesticating wild plant and animal species for human benefit has occurred many times all over the planet, and has a major impact on the environment, both positive and negative. Wildlife can be found in all ecosystems. Deserts, rain forests, plains, and other areas including the most developed urban sites, all have distinct forms of wildlife. While the term in popular culture usually refers to animals that are untouched by human factors, most scientists agree that wildlife around the world is impacted by human activities. Humans have historically tended to separate civilization from wildlife in a number of ways including the legal, social, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The activities undertaken under the adage of WCS include scientific research, national capacity building, policy interventions, site based conservation and developing new models of wildlife conservation. The Project Elephant PE in short was launched in February 1992. It is a central sponsored scheme that intended to provide all kinds of support to the elephant bearing states in India, be it financial or technical for protection of elephants and their habitats. Elephants, the gentle giants of the forests are much loved in India and this project was launched when their numbers started decreasing at an alarming rate. The Project Elephant in India also aimed to decrease the human elephant battles and help in the welfare of domesticated elephants in India. Though project elephant was launched with much enthusiasm years ago, but it has still not led to as much increase in the number of elephants as it was expected. Wildlife conservationists state that the progress has been real slow and people in charge of the project are themselves not very clear of the causes of decline in the number of elephants. Project Elephant tries to ensure a free movement for the elephants and thus conserve large areas for them that are called elephant reserve range . Wildlife Conservation in Sariska Sariska Tiger Reserve was created in 1978. The present area of the Reserve is 866 sq. km. In the pre independence period, the forests
  • 3. Digital Technology Is Changing The Early Years Of... Technology is changing the world around us. When today s children begin to enter the workforce, they will be expected to be extremely computer literate. To get students where they need to be by the time they graduate high school, computer literacy must begin in the early years of elementary education. Why should teachers be concerned? Donald Leu, Jr., (2008) tells us that the nature of literacyand learning is begin redefined by digital technologies such as the World Wide Web (WWW), e mail, digitized works of children s literature, and electronic chat rooms. Labbo and Reinking (1999) suggest that e mail promotes opportunities for reading and writing for purposes that have personal meaning as well as for encouraging more collaborative projects and interchanges among students. Bringing the WWW into classrooms encourages teachers and students to move away from limiting reading and discussion to the content of a textbook and provides opportunities to more critically consider the sources of information. Mark Warschauer (2007) says the rapid diffusion of new technologies will greatly impact the nature of learning and literacy. He refers to the invention of the printing press, which transformed literacy in the second half of the last millennium. He and others believe that digital technology will, in the long run, have as much impact on learning and literacy as did the printing press (Warschauer 2007). How teachers respond to and use these new developments will determine how
  • 4. Water Quality Of Water Pollution The purpose of the succeeding article is to weigh the opinions of two different sources concerning the topic of water pollution. Many people neglect the water issue due to the fact that it does not necessarily pertain to them. However, there are several complications that should definitely be brought to awareness among the public. This article uses two sources to explain why and how the activities of humans contributes to the poisoning of the world s water supply, and how the articles use argumentative such as ethos, logos, and pathos to justify and compare their position. A Contamination Crisis The pollutants affecting water quality is a major issue affecting every community on a global scale. Whether individuals suffer from lack of ... They actively portray this by stating Polluted drinking water or water polluted by chemicals produced waterborne diseases like, Giardiasis, Amoebiasis, Hookworm, Ascariasis, Typhoid, Liver and kidney damage, Alzheimer s disease, non Hodgkin s Lymphoma, multiple Sclerosis, Hormonal problems that can disorder development and reproductive processes, Cancer, heart disease, damage to the nervous system, different type of damages on babies in womb, Parkinson s disease, Damage to the DNA and even death, meanwhile, polluted beach water contaminated people like stomach aches, encephalitis, Hepatitis, diarrhoea, vomiting, gastroenteritis, respiratory infections, ear ache, pink eye and rashes, (Marica, Corches, 2016, para. 5). This statement appeals to the emotional aspect by explaining how contaminated water can cause several different diseases and problematic complications. It explains how certain cases have caused errors in infants to appeal to the emotions of those with children, or uses cancerous aspects to gain the attention of those who have endured, or know someone who had endured, something similar to what is being explained. They use these examples to gain domination over the pathos, or emotional, aspect caused by water pollution. The article attempts to gain attention to the logical, or logos, side of an argument by providing examples and procedures to determine the amount of
  • 5. The Significant Dichotomy In Buffy The Vampire Slayer Sinner or saint is a significant dichotomy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Several characters are able to bridge this: Spike and Buffy being two of the notable examples, playing both roles throughout the series. However, the female vampires of the series consistently fall into the latter category of sinner, and not only that, but a sexually deviant or hyper sexualized sinner. There are no recurring female vampires in the show that do not become categorized in this extreme way. Drusilla was once a nun, but once turned, all of that religious devotion disappears. Willow is only a vampirein two different episodes, The Wish and DГ¶ppelgangland, yet the transformation that she undertakes is memorable. This essay will discuss how female vampires,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These are two characters where this hyper sexuality is clear and overt, but it does not lessen the sexualization of the two other recurring female vampires in the show: Darla and Harmony. However, when considering the background of these two characters and their personalities before they were turned, the general stereotype of sexual allure was applicable to their human lives as well as their vampire lives. Darla was a prostitute who was dying of syphilis when the Master turned her. She is able to use her human experiences to help seduce victims for food or the Master s plans. In the first episode of BtVS, she appears to be the prey of a man who brings her to Sunnydale High, but the audience quickly realizes that she is actually the predator. Similarly, Harmony is a ditzy character before she is turned into a vampire. Once turned, she remains a nuisance to Buffy and her gang of Scoobies. Her personality does not get an overhaul and she is still willing to settle for any one will give her attention, power or popularity. Neither of these aspects are surprising based on how the characters are written even as humans. The audience does not expect vampires to turn
  • 6. Data Structure Of Using Hash Table Overview: Hashing in terms of encryption is the conversion of a word into a usually fixed length value or key that represents the original word. Hashing is used to index and retrieve items in a database because it is faster to find the item using the shorter hashed key than to find it using the original value. It basically uses a hash function to convert the word into the key. Hash function is one that is used to map data of random size to data of fixed size. Values that are returned from a hash function are called as hash values, hash codes, or hash sums. It mainly uses hash table as a data structure to look up data rapidly. There will be no two words with same hash value, otherwise collision occurs between the two words. In software programming, a hash table or hash map is a data structure that is used to execute an array i.e. it is a structure that can map keys to values. A hash function is used to determine an index value for an array of buckets or slots, with which we can find the correct value. A good hash function with an algorithm are essential for good performance of the hash table though it can be difficult to achieve. A basic requirement of a hash function is that it should provide distribution of hash values uniformly. If the distribution is non uniform, it increases the number of collisions and the cost of resolving them. Uniformity can be evaluated by observing statistical tests. If for example there exists uniform distribution only for table sizes that are
  • 7. Christian Meta-Narrative In The Book Of Revelation It is said that the basic Christian meta narrative of history is present throughout the Book of Revelation. But, what does this mean? First one must understand simply what a meta narrative is. A meta narrative is a narrative or story which claims to explain something totally. The Christian meta narrative provides a theological worldview centered on Jesusvictory at the cross and derives its understanding of the world through the teachings of the Bible. The Book of Revelationprovides for its readers images to coincide with the Christian meta narrative. These images can later be used to relate the themes of Revelation to how they are held true in the past, present, and future of the world. War is waged against an already victorious lamb. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Revelation 20:1 15 tells how the angel of God came down and chained up the Dragon (Satan), and then all of the souls who had died for Jesus and the word of God came to life and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The thousand years referenced in this bible verse was symbolic of Christ s resurrection victory over death and how the people of God were going to share in His glorious reign. Examples of these events can be pulled from the world, Church, and even events of history and the Bible. This image is a particularly true representation of a time of unrest in a country. Many wars are started and fought long and hard, but long before the wars officially ends there can be seen an evident and certain victor. This is especially evident when looking back upon wars fought in history. Though it did not seem so at the time, the victor was clearly when looking back upon them from the future. The theme of the image is interpreted to mean that Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, has already died and saved us from our sins; however, Satan is still present in the world seeking the ruins of souls. The work of Satan can easily be contradicted thanks to the victory of Jesus Christ, opening up the gates of heaven for us and offering us redemption from our

The high demand for computer chips requires a manufacturing process that is accurate as well as efficient. In the past, chips have been manufactured out of many different materials including copper oxide and germanium. Today, computer chips are manufactured using silicondue to its versatility as a semiconductorand how readily available it is in the environment. This paper includes how silicon became an important semiconductor, a brief history on the process of integrated chip manufacturing, an analysis of the shrinking of manufacturing process, and newer methods of three dimensional lithography. Silicon and germanium are used as semiconductors... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Different combinations of n and p type doping are used to create electronic components such as transistors, capacitors, and diodes. Silicon became the top semiconductor in the 1960s due to the oxide layer it forms, its ability to perform at higher temperatures, and its availability in nature. When exposed to air, silicon forms a silicon dioxide layer on its surface that serves as an excellent insulator allowing for small interference between different components. Compared to germanium, silicon is able to perform at higher temperatures which becomes important when there are several different components on a chip operating and generating heat. Silicon is also readily available in nature, as it is a main component in sand whereas germanium is difficult to extract in large quantities making it more expensive. Computer processors and graphics processors have become increasingly advanced over the past 15 years, and require a process that is able to lay billions of transistors in a short amount of time. This process starts out with a silicon wafer, which is made from sand that it is melted down and extruded into a cylinder of perfect silicon lattices. This cylinder is cut into several eighteen inch diameter disks that are close to one millimeter thick. The silicon wafer is then annealed to remove the internal stresses of the lattice and then an
  • 9. The Effects Of Sleep Disturbances On Military Personnel Major Effects On Military Personnel Military personnel are exposed to traumatic events and experiences that can cause several serious side effects. Two major effects on military personnel due to war are sleep disturbances and relationship problems. This discussion post will examine sleep disturbances and relationship problems during deployment and post deployment, along with the interventions that can be implemented in each. Sleep Disturbances One of the most common side effects military personnel experience from war is sleep disturbance (Peterson, Goodie, Satterfield, Brim, 2008). Statistics show one third of military personnel report having some kind of sleep disturbance (Mysliwiec et al., 2013). During deployment, military personnel experience the pressure and stress of combat, leading to sleep disturbances (Mysliwiec et al., 2013). Military personnel can continue to have sleep disturbances even after post deployment. The traumatic experiences and combat exposure does not leave individuals cognition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... High levels of trauma often make it difficult for soldiers to be good spouses (Goff, Crow, Reisbig, Hamilton, 2007). When soldiers go off to war, they are physically leaving behind their spouse and when they return home they can become emotionally unavailable (Goff et al., 2007). Not being emotionally invested in the marriage and relationship can lead to marriage dissatisfaction and poor communication (Goff et al., 2007). Military personnel are often invested in their own emotions and what they have experienced, that the spouse is left with attachment issues, chronic stress from partners PTSD, and heightened physiological reactivity to partners negative interactions (Renshaw, Rodrigues, Jones, 2008). It is essential for each partner to communicate their feelings and work through the issues before it is to late and the relationship

These three group of shoppers depend on the amount of money they have or is given. In these groups, I am an undecided shopper, who looks for both sales and would buy clothes at their original price. Many shoppers could sometimes gain debt just for shoppingwithout a budget. Now, an unlimited shopper is a shopper who has no limit. These shoppers could care less about how much their product cost. • 11. The Olympic Games and Media Coverage A very popular and large sporting event that receives an extremely high volume of national media coverage is the Olympic Games. For a number of years, major stations like NBC has provided audiences with an around the clock coverage of the Games. Many other major medias similar to NBC have also done the same by devoted sections solely to the Olympic Games. The Olympics is a time where citizens come together to root for their home country, strengthening their sense of nationalism and pride and cheering for their home athletes to come out victoriously and the country as a powerhouse of the world. They began by demonstrating to the world that they are transforming into an advanced nation. They also acknowledge a mistake they made when the Olympic snowflakes failed to open, however they confidently fixed their error by covering it by using rehearsal footage when it was being podcasted live. This resonated with me because it was a way of saying that as a nation they are resilient and can overcome anything that comes their way. The Russian newspapers were more critical of themselves then I expected them to be, they did mention the disapproval the government had received for the amount of money spent for the Olympics. However similarly to the New York Times the message overall was to convey a nationalistic attitude, pride, and to change the reputation of the country around the world through [...] Russia s conservative values while reminding the world of the country s famed cultural heritage and hinting at its

  • 13. Use Of Verbal Irony In The Pardoner s Tale Throughout The Pardoner s Tale, the literary elements verbal irony and situational irony reveal the theme that greed is the root of all evil. First, one rioter tells his friend, Trust me... you needn t doubt my word. I won t betray you, I ll be true (Chaucer 130). The rioter s use of verbal irony helps to reveal the theme by showing how greed can cause someone to do things they would not normally do. The rioter s use of irony means the opposite of what it states; it is a warning to not trust the rioter. This quote shows how greed has overcome the rioter, and he plans to do evil things to achieve the gold. Another use of verbal irony is when the youngest rioter says to the apothecary, Sell me some poison if you will, I have a lot of rats

  • 15. The US Housing Market Bubble When researching past economic recoveries, the housing market is the one to drive the economy out of recession. That being said, this economic recession hasn t had much of an impact until recently. America s housing boom had a tremendous influence on the economy for its low prices and flow of new home construction. The new construction market in the mid 2000 s was flourishing. People saw building a home as an opportunity for a solid investment because prices and rates were so low that certain homes could depreciate extremely slowly. However, there would be a negative effect from all this low cost new construction and few were aware of just how devastating it would be to the new construction market. In 2005, the market was flooded with a vast array of homes that were all selling at a low price, and this allowed people to buy and sell homes with minimal effort. Banks were being reckless with their lending, not giving enough attention to who they were giving mortgages to, as virtually anybody with a decent credit score could go to a bank and get a mortgage, sometimes without even going to see if the land and ability for development was there. This created a housing bubble in 2006, and would inevitably come back to hurt a wide range of industries, but few were as damaged as the new construction industry. Once things started to get bad, they got really bad for a lot of families who were given mortgages, who were not properly qualified. There was a major spike in defaults, with

While both cliches hold their own truth about the country, much more lies beneath the tulips and drugs. The cases arise from dealing with certain aspects that comes from handling juveniles entering the system. Since juveniles are very different from adults they have to deal with them a certain way and a case by case basis. The court cases concerning juveniles and the decisions that have come from them is what has made what the juvenile justice system is today. Juveniles are not treated the same as adults since juveniles are not ad developed as adults common sense wise. They don t always know what is right from wrong and sometimes they do not have guidance or good influences around them helping them in the right direction. In class we have learned that instead of punishing them, the goal of the juvenile justice system is based on rehabilitation. For instance, juveniles cannot be sentenced to death if under the age of 18 and also can not be given the sentences of life without parole because they consider these punishments cruel and unusual for juveniles. If the system is able to rehabilitate them and give them the tools they need, they have a second chance at changing their lives for the better and getting away from all of the crimes. They rather try to send them to programs or to complete community service to better themselves instead of giving them hard time. The court cases that I will discuss is what

Hilary Mantel, born in 1952, is particularly famous for her historical novels. On February 21 2013, at a book lecture at the British Museum, she held a speech, in which she commented on the British monarchy. Hilary Mantel starts her speech by telling how she, last summer, was asked to name a famous person and choose a book to give them. She chose Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, a jointed doll on which certain rags are hung . The royal family is, according to Hilary, a thing that is expensive to conserve, but interesting to look at and that is also the only reason that they exist. Today monarchy has become an attraction, which flashes every side of the royal family. Hilary Mantel believes that we are looking at royalties as if they were figures or dolls, who we can treat as we want to. We always have a comment to what they are wearing, if they look good or not, what they are doing right or wrong etc. We are allowing monarchy to treat its persons as entertainment objects. I m not asking for censorship. I m not asking for pious humbug and smarmy reverence. I m asking us to back off not be brutes . In this quote Hilary says that we need to stand back, and this is clearly her goal with her speech. We need to allow the royalties to be humans as well. Hilary Mantel s speech is tendentious and personal, because only one her own opinion is presented. Looked at the speech objectively it is weak because of the lack of proof, since she is only arguing with her own personal opinion. In the speech there is an illustration of Paul Emsley s portrait of Kate Middleton. She describes it like this: But in her first

According to our textbook written in 2016, Peter Northouse describes the skills model of leadership with an area for competencies which includes knowledge from career experiences. Bush held numerous positions that gave him knowledge on leadership abilities before becoming the president. From his brief military career to his oil company ventures then moving to politics, Bush gained much knowledge through his various career experiences. According to Tannenbaum and Schmidt, there is a continuum of leadership behavior that varies with use of authority by the manager to freedom of the subordinates. To explain this leadership concept we have learned in class, we can discuss the presidency of Bush. During Bush s time in office, Bush explemfied forms of leadership throught the continuum of leadership behavior. One on side, Bush had to delegate resposibilities to various parts of his staff, he also had to consult on multiple occasions with experienced indivuals on matters such as the economy and military, and finally he had to make ultimate decisions because he was the president. The venues the author refers to are the social networks Facebook and Google Plus, which have real name policies that forbid the use of pseudonyms (Boyd, par. 7). The author attempts to answer if said policies protect users or if they increase user vulnerability. She states that the stakeholders in this issue are those most affected by prohibiting pseudonyms and nicknames, the vulnerable and marginalized members of society such as abuse survivors, activists, LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender] people, women, and young people (Boyd, par. 3). The values attached to the issue are those of safety, as people often utilize pseudonyms to preserve their physical and mental health, as well as that of their families (Boyd, par. 2). Boyd is against the enforcement of real name policies because it exposes those who need protection, arguing that you don t guarantee safety by stopping people from using pseudonyms, but you do undermine people s safety by doing so (Boyd, par. 11). The author concludes that enforcing real names policies in online spaces is an abuse of power (Boyd, par. 12). The solution she presents is simply not enforcing real name

Children s literature varies from poetry to children s picture books. Every aspect of children s literature gives an ability to grow a child mentally and develop their ideas and imagination.
