challenges. The difficulty lies in not only providing a comprehensive example but also in
dissecting and analyzing it effectively. To begin with, identifying a suitable example that
encapsulates the essence of an analysis essay can be a daunting task. One must navigate through
various literary works, articles, or other written pieces to find a fitting subject that allows for an
in-depth examination.

This involves delving into the nuances of the chosen example, dissecting its components, and
illustrating how various elements contribute to the overall meaning or message. The writer needs
to demonstrate a keen understanding of the analytical process, showcasing the ability to
critically assess and interpret the chosen material.

Analysis Of Husky Energy Inc.
Husky Energy Inc. is a recognizable company to many Canadians. Most people just
know it as The Husky and see it as just merely an oil company operated through
North America. Although Husky Energy Inc. is centred in Alberta and Saskatchewan,
it is a worldwide enterprise. China, Greenland, and Libya all have Husky Energy
within their countries (Husky Energy Inc.). Now privately owned, the business value
is at 28 billion as of October 2009 (Warnock, 1) and continues to growing

to grow from continued increase in value from their shares without being fiscally
negligent while doing so. They want people to pay for their company shares and
this is there carrot for doing so. They are on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) as

What Does Realism In What Life Mean To Me Naturalism
Realism can be difined in various ways, but William Dean Howell defines realism
in the most simplistic, but very accurate, way. William Howell says realism is
based off of one s life situations and these life situations will determine what one
will find as true. One critical text chosen from the Realism and Naturalism
Contextual Cluster would be Jack London s What Life Means to Me . Jack
London, who lived from 1876 to 1916, had a series of writings on this topic in the
early 1900 s. With this writing being created during a socialist time period, it adds
emphases on realismand how to relate real life developments with certain situations
that have took place. For the literary text option, Editha was the chosen, which was
written by William Dean Howell. Howell, who lived from 1837 to 1920, was a
realist novelist who published many famous stories and novels. From the stories of
What Life Means to Me and Editha , they are two different stories, but they both
describe realism from their own perspectives (which is what Howell defines as
realism ).
According to Howell, the truth can won t always be in one s favor and could case
stress to an individual, but this does not change the fact that it is still the truth and
must be acceptable as such. In What Life Means to Me , London is describing his
personal life and his outlooks on life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Adding twist and real emotions to a story will thicken the plot. In this story, Editha
had a a lot of romaticisim being expressed, but in a surpressed way. Even though
she had certain beliefs (what was real to her) does not mean that her beliefs were
reality for others. Editha made her partner s reality merely a dream because he had
to live out the reality that she wanted for him. She was a bit selfish in this story and
that it a good example for truth because sometimes the truth can be ugly in
Outliers Paradigm Analysis
A paradigm is a model used to support ideas and claims made by an author. In the
book Outliers the author Malcolm Gladwell uses many paradigms to further illustrate
his findings. Throughout the book Gladwell discusses success and the things that
effect ones chance at becoming successful in life. It is brought to our attention though
Gladwell s use of paradigms that there are many small scale things that can effect
ones chances at succeeding. Success is often associated with talent, genetics, and
resources but little do people know there are many things that impact ones success.
Throughout Gladwell s text he uses many paradigms. The first paradigm that he uses
is in the introduction of the book. Gladwell begins by using a small town in
Pennsylvania called Roseto. There was something very unique about this town. A
doctor named Stewart Wolfe he found that the rates of heart diseasein this little town
were significantly less for those under the age of sixty five, which during the time
heart disease was a huge epidemic. Wolfe began to research the obvious things that
one would believe to have an impact on heart disease. He looked at diet... Show more

What the ten thousand hour rule states is to become professional at the task.
Gladwell presents the Beatles as one of the examples, he explains how the Beatles
came to be as well as how they came to the United States. He then goes on to tell
how the Beatles not only played music for many years before coming to the U.S
but also how they played individually before becoming a band. This gave them an
advantage on their ten thousand hours. Gladwell also explained that the band played
in Hamburg, they played five or more hours a night seven days a week, they
defiantly did their share to get their hours in. many people don t think about the
amount of work one puts in to become truly great at something, like the Beatles
The Conflict Of Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone gained its independence in 1961 but it s not as independent as it
seems. Known as the Blood Diamond of Africa is said to be one of the most
dangerous places in the world. Of its top exports, diamonds are number one. Who
knew one diamond could cause so much chaos especially in the land of peace and
harmony, causing its own people to kill one another. Blood diamonds are infamous
and play a dangerous role in the lives of many people.

Blood diamonds in Africa are causing many problems. This conflict is creating
much chaos. It is the overall cause of slavery, rape and brutality in Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone supplies us with fine diamonds but what is the U.S. or any other
country doing to help prevent this issue and the heinous crimes that come as a result.
The story of these infamous diamonds all started with a fifteen year old who found a
diamond in his father s arm. The diamond business started in 1935 when De Beers
took all control over dining prospects in Sierra Leone. De Beers are a group of
companies has a main role in the exploration of diamonds, as well as diamond

sectors. This group was founded in 1888, and they are responsible for the problems
Sierra Leone is facing today. These diamonds can be found in volcanic pipes.
Diamonds are a pure form of carbon in a transparent state. Diamonds have always

Over time many people began lusting over them. Due to these Blood Diamonds,
Sierra Leone has faced many social and economic costs. One diamond is capable of

Gender Discrimination And The Current Number Of

Summary
Universally, only 4000 of the 130,000 commercial airline pilots are women, out of
which only 450 are captains , this remained constant since the 1970s. The main drive
of my research project was the curiosity to know why this number hasn t increased.
Historically, women have confronted various challenges which have resulted in
setbacks to their participation in the industry. Through my research, I was able to
analyse and eliminate false factors which articulated to why there are so few female
pilots. My outcome is high in quality due to its multi faceted arguments that discussed
how gender discrimination and the role of women in society influence the current
number of female commercial pilots. These factors continue to have a significant
impact along with social perception and stigma of planes and piloting still lingering
around its man a job .
E1 Insightful evaluation of the research processes used, specific to the research
question.
The foundation of my research was based off a list that I prepared on of what I
knew about women in aviation and what I would like to know. This developed the
framework upon which a range of research processes was conducted.
The research process of secondary researching and literature review helped me
accomplish my intentions to refine my topic. I conducted a wide range of reading to
broaden my understanding of women in aviation. This topic is embedded in social
behaviour, however the findings of the scientific research were rather
Janet Waking By John Crowe Ransom
The poem, Janet Waking , symbolizes a turning point in a child s life. It starts out
with a young kid in a slumber, and it ends with a mourning of a beloved pet. This
shift that John Crowe Ransom creates shows just how drastic this step in life was.
Since the story is told from a father s point of view, we get to look through a mature
lense of how the child is impacted and just how young and undeveloped her mind is.
As the poem goes on, we finally see what message the author is trying to convey.
Throughout the poem, the poet carefully picks and constructs words and sentences
that perfectly give the poem life and meaning. Firstly, the name of the hen is Chucky.
Chucky is most definitely not a common name for a chicken, let alone for a hen.
Renaissance Man Thesis
I can t believe how much time has gone by. This was my first thought when I
looked at the clock on my laptop screen. I had done it again. I was researching a
topic we had discussed that day in history, and I got side tracked. Instead of just
reading what needed to be read, I dug even deeper into the subject, reading article
after article on The Renaissance. Why did I have to be so fascinated with The
Renaissance? I asked myself. I could have this entire assignment done by now. I
looked down at the worksheet, and I had only done half of it. I laughed at this
because I knew all the answers. Well, I guess all that researching was worth it. I
completed the assignment in ten minutes but I didn t stop there. I watched
documentaries on The Renaissance... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is known as The Renaissance Man because he was a jack of all trades, including
artist and scientist. He is the first person who accurately depicted and documented
human anatomy. His medical journals became the basis for what we know
commonly today as Gray s Anatomy. Without his curiosity of the human body, we
might not have the same knowledge as we do today. History shapes every subject we
take in school, not only science. We have art and music history, the history of
language, psychology, as well as others, and of course, the history of history itself.
In conclusion, my love for European history engulfs me. I love reading about it and
watching documentaries about it. I have my own collection of books on it that I
bought to further my learning and education of it. It has also influenced my career
path because I m considering a major in history. I am thankful for my love of history
because I have learned so much about other cultures, societies, and even civilizations.
History enriches our lives and expands our minds and our experiences, both real and
vicarious. Knowing the past and embracing it will, hopefully, point us to a bright

The Influence Of The Lost Generation
The term Lost Generation came from Gertrude Stein, who heard a mechanic say to
his employee You are all a lost generation . They are, according to Dictionary.com,
the generation of men and women who came of age during or immediately
following World War I: viewed, as a result of their war experiences and the social
upheaval of the time, as cynical, disillusioned, and without cultural or emotional
stability . World War Iwas the primary factor responsible for the change in the
significance of self indulgence and wealth in the Lost Generations writing.
World War 1 began on July 28, 1914. The conflict was started one month in
advance, when Serbian nationalist, Gavrilo Princip, shot and killed the heir to the
Austro Hungarian Empire and his wife. American President, Woodrow Wilson
wanted to stay in a state of neutrality by continuing to trade with European countries
on both sides of the war, but Germany disagreed with this. They sunk all ships
coming into the British Isles, including neutral trade ships. This caused Wilson to
declare war on Germany on April 2, 1917. The war ended November 11, 1918, when
Germany called for a ceasefire due to limited resources.
War ended right before the turn of the decade, influencing a lot of 20 s culture. The
shift in culture was evident through clothing, gender roles, everyday life, wealth, self
indulgence, and writing style. Women dressed more flashy, in shorter dresses, which
were looked at as skanky before. Heels were more common now
Coriolanus And Cressida Essay
Chris Baldick defines rhetoric as the deliberate exploitation of eloquence for the
most persuasive effect . This is certainly seen at work in Coriolanus and Troilus and
Cressida, two Jacobean dramas with war and politics at their centre. In both plays,
characters attempt to employ rhetoric as a persuasive tool for political ends. In
Troilus and Cressida, Ulysses aims to use rhetoricand political machinations to
mobilise a war weary army. On the other hand, Coriolanus s reluctance to use, and
dislike of, rhetoric, results in further social disruption and war. Though rhetoric may
be considered an unethical tool of manipulation, it is nonetheless useful for
maintaining social order in these plays, where war threatens to throw society... Show

The Combustion Of Coal
I.Introduction Coal has been utilized throughout history as an source of energy.
From the burning of coal for heat and food to the more advance method of coal
combustion for power generation coal has been an important staple of energy
worldwide. Coal is a combustible sedimentary rock and made up of mostly carbonand
a mixed combined quantity of hydrogen, sulfur, oxygen, and nitrogen. Known also as
a fossil fuel, coalis made from a dead plant matter that converts into the hard
sedimentary rock like matter that is used as an energy source. It generally takes
millions of years for this to occur and compared to other fossil fuels is a relatively
sustainable source of energy but it is still considered a nonrenewable resource. Coal is

Particulate matter (PM) is the tiny pieces of coal; ash and liquid remnants of coal
that causes smoky haze to billow from power plants and can cause damage to lungs
and cause other respiratory illnesses. A typical coal plant with no controls for the
amount of PM emitted can emit up to 500 tons of particles a year whereas a coal
plant with installed coal plant smokestacks can capture up to 99% of the particles
emitted (Union of Concerned Scientists, 2015).
Coal is the leading producer of sulfur dioxide pollution in the United States, it has
been known to cause respiratory issues in children including asthma. Sulfur dioxide
also causes acid rain which has disastrous effects on forestry and wildlife. Typical
uncontrolled power plants that produce coal emit up to 14, 000 tons of sulfur

tons a year (Union of Concerned Scientists, 2015).
Nitrogen oxides are pollutants that can cause chronic respiratory issues, acid rain and
smog as well. Uncontrolled plants emit up to 10, 300 tons a year and those with

The Farmer s Movement of the Late 19th Century Essay
During the late nineteenth century, the agrarian movement evolved into a political
force that energized American farmers to voice their political and economic
grievances like never before. Although the movement essentially died after William
Jennings Bryan s loss of the 1896 Presidential election, many of the reforms they
fought for were eventually passed into law. American farmers found themselves
facing hard times after the Civil War. In the West, the railroad had opened up
enormous opportunities. Farmers were now able to cultivate land that had previously
been to far from the Eastern markets to make a profit. However, that opportunity
came at a price. The farmers increasing dependence on the railroads and other

Membership rose rapidly after the Panic of 1873, peaking at one and a half million
members in 1875. The chief political goal of the Grangers was relief from the
exorbitant carriage fees charged by the railroads and warehouses. They created
hundreds of buying cooperatives, founded banks, pushed through legislation
regulating railroads, and campaigned for political candidates who were sympathetic
to their cause. Their campaign for government regulation of the railroad led to their
most significant victory. In 1877, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Granger
cause in Munn v. Illinois. In this case it upheld the power of the states to regulate the
rates of railroads and other businesses since their conduct affected the community at
large. This shows a departure from the prevalent laissez faire economics of the time
and sets precedent for government regulation of business. As agricultural conditions
improved, membership declined. Although few of their economic initiatives
succeeded, much of their political agenda was advocated in south and west by the
Farmer s Alliance. The Farmer s Alliance and the Grangers differed in that the
Alliance was political from its inception. The farmers saw industrial capitalism as
destructive to agrarian values. The Alliance sought to unite farmers against the new
economic and political interests they felt were combining to deny farmers
Quotes From The Book Of Exodus

I.Quote
a.Monotheism and Mosaic Law, The Book of Exodus, Chapter 19 20. (c. Tenth Sixth
Centuries B.C.E.)
Moses answered the people, Do not be afraid; God has come to test you, so that
your fear of him, being always in your mind, may keep you from sinning
b.The quote is significant because it explains how God works. Moses is talking to the
people who fear the peals of thunder on the mountain and lightning flashes. They
were also scared of the loud sound of the trumpet and the smoking mountain.
Basically, Moses is telling them not to fear and that God is just testing them. He
explains that God is hoping that if they are afraid, then they will not sin. I think this
is important when believing in monotheism because there is only one God. In the
Holy Bible of today s time, God says, Do not be afraid multiple times and this quote
reveals the ethical dimension of the Hebrews monotheism. The concept of sin was
missing in the region during the tenth sixth centuries.

James Bond Personality Traits
James Bond has been around since 1962, and 26 movies later, his image is still
going strong of the extremely handsome and covert agent that saves the day, and
always gets a pretty lady/Bond Girl, at some point of the movie, to himself. Skyfall
incorporated all these traits that make 007 (another name James Bondgoes by) who he
is. Skyfall is a Bond movie that describes his comeback to MI6 (his secret agency)
after being off the radar for a long amount of time. Bond shows the usual Bond traits
in this movie, but at the start, he needs to brush off the dust and get back into the
hunt. And of course he gets back quickly and stronger than ever. For years, Bond has
been a male dream for years and it is due to one major aspect, masculinity.

her ace in the hole 007. After a shootout at the court house, Bond and M are going

way there, M says Too many people are dying because of me, showing that she
truly leave the situation in Bond s hands because she would never say something
like this if she could find her own way out. This speaks to the masculinity and
power Bond has in these situations. At Skyfall, even then you see a male dominated

M is given equipped with any resources she can find. When then fight begins M

Things To Consider When You Want A Mature Tree Removed
If you have a mature tree in your yard that annoys you with too much shade or
because it blocks your view, you probably wish it was gone. You can call a tree
service professional to do the job since cutting down a large tree yourself is
dangerous, but before you decide to cut down the tree yourself or hire a professional,
here are some things to consider.
If Trees Are Protected In Your Area
If the tree is damaged, you can probably have it removed with no problems so it
doesn t become a safety hazard. However, if the mature tree is healthy, it might be
protected by your city or state, especially if it is a valuable or rare species. The first
step in tree removal is to check your local codes. See if you re allowed to remove
the tree and then see if you need a permit. Find out if there are regulations concerning
the removal. For instance, you may be required to plant a new tree in another part of
your yard to replace the one you had removed. Another question to have answered is
if you can cut down the tree yourself. You may be required to hire a professional due

artery. During this attack not get blood to irrigate the portion which is stopped and
no longer works. It s a disease but only as shown the name is just temporary. The
patient often recovers after 15 30 minutes and very rarely happens to recover only
after 24 hours. Most times they are less important and have no neurological
consequences.
Prevention for TIA
It is important that these conditions be prevented especially when there are multiple
risk factors aggregate in the same patient. The hottest who affects is smoking, that
must be left by those who have a history or a family history of diseases. Another
custom is drinking heavily, that is contributing to worse. ... Show more content on

time. It is the most effective treatment that can be applied because this plant is able
to restore blood vessels and to clear affected arteries. But it is very difficult to
return to baseline, because certain areas of the brain have not been irrigated with
blood and become necrotic (dead), or they have no way to revive. Enable cerebral
and peripheral circulation, prevent and reduce sequelae after stroke.

based on daily cholesterol reducing treatment, an addition of 1,800 mg of omega 3
unsaturated fatty acids significantly lowers the risk of another

Republican Party Dbq Essay
In the past, the Democratic party was known as the conservative, traditional party that
fully supported state government while the Republican party was a supporter of the
federal government control. The Republican party began as Lincoln s party which
caught the attention and support of the colored voters. In contrast, the Democratic
partywas predominantly white during this time with ideas to keep the rights of the
state and the traditions of the South. Though these two parties have opposing views,
they began to clash and redirect their beliefs. Over time the two main political parties
have changed their platforms based on the issues of desegregation, racism in the
South and placement of federal government.

As the Democratic platform changed, the Republican party became very conservative
and defended state s rights due to its opposition to what was called big government
(Rise of Rep. Party, p. 567). On the issue of race, the Republican party fully
supported that the white race was superior and the state had its own right to remain
segregated. A key politician that represents this change was the former Senator
Jesse Helms. Religion was the driving force of his political views and he was very
vocal about his opinions. His campaign developed the concept of the New Right
which refers to the Christian church stepping into the realm of politics (Jesse Helms
Doc). In the 1970s and the 1980s, many organizations became available, such as the
Christian Coalition and Moral Majority, to support the church having political
influence. Since the church became a part of political campaigns, politicians became
more reserved in their discrimination in a perception known as Southern Strategy.
This popular technique was used mainly by the Republican party that was extremely
traditional known as the Tea Party or far right . The first politician to introduce the
idea was President Nixon in 1960, through his speeches to the people. The Southern
Strategy technique is used when the speaker uses choices of words to convey a
negative, underlying meaning without blatantly stating their opinion (class
discussion). As an example, Nixon expressed his support of state s rights as a way of
admitting that he supported the continuation of segregation in the

40 Developmental Asset Essay on John Conlan
Have you ever wondered what makes your life complete? A recent study has come
up with a list of 40 Developmental Assets that help lead teens build a jubilant and
prosperous life. These assets allow people to address their life and see what assets
they are lacking and what assets they possess. Throughout the novel, The Pigman,
these assets play an immense role in the ultimate outcome of the story. In The
Pigman one of the main characters is John Conlan and despite having an absence of
family support and a lack of responsibility he is proven to be very caring and
protective over the ones he cares about.
John was confronted with much adversity during the novel The Pigman, but the
asset of Caring was very prominent throughout. In this novel John befriends an old
man named Mr. Pignati and throughout the novel they grow very close, almost like
family. A certain time in the book comes to where Mr. Pignati is being threatened
and John becomes very protective. I knew I d kill Norton if he tried to hurt the old
man. (Zindell 95) Throughout the book Mr. Pignati has been nothing but kind to
John and in turn, John is returning the favor by trying to protect him which shows
that he is caring and benevolent. Throughout the book John also is described as
caring by his best friend, Lorraine Jensen. She cares for him and he in turn cares for
her. It is a fact that John has compassion deep inside of him,... (Zindell 11). Lorraine

Gnathostoma s Roundworm Disease
Gnathostoma is a roundworm parasite that is not normally found in humans. The
roundworm is passed from the host to a water bug called a Cyclops. It then is
passed to a fish, snake or frog and finds its way into the muscle of the infected
creature. It can then be passed to humans when they consume the infected animals
meat. The patient in the book acquired the parasite from eating a raw cobra heart
while traveling to see his family in Vietnam. In humans the larval form of the worm
cannot develop in the stomach so it moves into the muscle of its human victims. It
would then travel to under the skin. It would then move throughout the body for a
period of 4 to 12 years. The migration of the worm through the body is due to it not
being use to a human host. The migration of the worm can lead to the brain and
cause death in particularly severe cases.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Importance Of Employee Uniforms
Introduction Have you ever wondered why companies make their employees wear
a specific uniform or wear a specific style of pant and shirt? Well, there are many
reasons why; one, the company may use their uniform as part of their organization s
colors. This allows the employee to feel they are part of the organization and it
allows the consumer to identify a company purely from the colors on a uniform. Just

a business setting, a restaurant, or even a doctor s office, a person s perception

employers need to consider a dress code to ensure the safety of all employees.

Abrahamic Covenant Chart A covenant is defined as a promise or agreement
between two parties. The Abrahamic Covenant is a precise covenant between God
and Abraham which can be seen in numerous events, throughout scripture. Genesis 12
50 reveals the Abrahamic covenant from Abraham to Joseph. The covenant is
displayed in event and incidents throughout the history of Abraham and his
descendants, which was part of God s perfect will. God called out a specific people
for himself, who have throughout the covenant demonstrated a lack of faith and
obedience, nevertheless God still fulfilled His promises.
This Abrahamic Covenant Chart is designed to provide clarity in determining the key
points and verses that illustrate the covenant between God and Abraham. The chart is
split into several parts detailing the following aspects of the covenant: the first is the
reference or bible text, the next four factors will highlight factors for the audience to
appropriately understand and apply the meaning of each reference being; to whom
this reference was addressed, the circumstances in which this reference where
reiterated, composition of the covenant, and analyze the development of the covenant
throughout the Book of Genesis. Lastly the chart will also note any changes to be
aware of in Genesis chapters 12 50. The chart is most easily understood referring to
the reference to the far left of the chart and reviewing all factors in the
Mexican War Justified
The Mexican War: Justified or Unjustified?
The Mexican War, or as it was called in Mexico, the American Invasion, was a very
controversial event. Before the Mexican War, people from the US began moving to
Texas. Texas was a disputed territory, as neither country agreed on who owned it.
Mexico said they owned, while the US said that they did. There are many reasons to
argue that the Mexican War should/should not have been started. The Mexican War
should not have been started because US settlers in Texas broke Mexican law, the US
invaded Mexico, and the countries had mixed up borders.
Before the Mexican War started, both the US and Mexico had mixed up borders.

The combination of American troops at the Rio Grande...angered the Mexican
government. (Roden 317). Mexico thought soldiers were deep into Mexico, while
the US thought they were in Texas. The incident occurred in the disputed territory
(Roden 315). According to this, no country really owned Texas. Mexico had the
Nueces River as their border, while the US thought the Rio Grande to be the border

nor could they know if they were invading another land. The Mexican government
had to protect their border, the Nueces (Velasco Marquez 327). This Information

evidence shows the US was not justified in going to war because the borders were
mixed up. The US should not have gone to war because of mixed up
Symptoms And Treatment Of Sleeping Sickness
Sleeping sickness, Human African trypanosomiasis, caused massive public deaths
in rural areas and was a public health issue for colonial officials in East Africa in
the early 1900s. There were two forms of the disease, Trypanosoma brucei
gambiense and Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense. T. gambiense is more prevalent
and causes a chronic infection while T. rhodesiense is less prevalent but causes
acute infection in individuals infected with sleeping sickness . Sleeping sickness is
considered a protozoan parasitic disease that is spread by infected tsetse flies,
Glossina palpalis, which are common in rural areas of Africa . The disease came in
different waves throughout the 19th and 20th century and left many dead,
particularly in the lakeshore areas. The written documents from the early 20th
century on the sleeping sickness epidemics show that the advancing knowledge
derived from medical research and experimentations led to the creation of strict
public health policies, such as depopulation and restriction of travel, in the modern
imperial world. During the early 20th century, there was some general knowledge
about tropical medicine and how it affected public health. When epidemics broke out
in colonial territories, the colonial government often attempted to control the disease
using quarantines in order to prevent the spread of it to other areas, particularly, the
areas inhabited by Europeans. By the 1900s, people had only a basic understanding
of sleeping sickness. They knew

Paul is Dead A very famous conspiracy that many perceive to be true is that Paul
McCartney is and has been dead since 1966. It is believed that the band s manager
and crew replaced him with a look alike that also sounds like him. The conspiracy s
believers say that there are plenty of clues within the songs and the album art, and
they even believe the Abbey Road picture has clues. This paper will cover why the
conspiracy may be true, why it may be fake, and at the end there will be an
unbiased opinion on the famous Beatle death . How can this conspiracy be
perceived as true? The conspirators make plenty of good points, like how his car
was in an accident on November 9, 1966. This is perceived to be the date of his
death and the conspirators believe you can see the date if you put a mirror
halfway (horizontally) between the letters in the bass drum for Sergeant Pepper s
Lonely Hearts Club Band album. If you set the mirror halfway like you re

and the IX being the 9th, when his car was involved in the accident. Also on that
album cover, Paul is seen raising his right hand, which in Eastern countries represents
death. The Lonely Hearts Club album cover is seen as a landmine of clues. The
Beatles are seen in band uniforms around the drum with cut out people all around
them and flowers in the front. People say they can see the flowers spell

Children s Morals From Their Parents
Many children ask multiple questions every single day. Many of them are
lighthearted simple questions; some of them hide deeper meanings that provoke
serious thoughts. The author Robert Coles finds that many children acquire morals
through their parents. As he interviews children, he finds that less parents instill
morals into their children than he thought. Although some children look to others for
their morals, most of children gather their morals from their parents. Most children
look to their parents for guidance in morals, but many parents fail to offer the
guidance that children need. Many parents try offer an answerto their child s question
but fall short in their explanation. We didn t know what to do; the teacher kept
telling us that we should be good and obey the law, but my daddy said the law was
wrong. (Coles, ,440) The kid wondered about the approach his teacher presented to
him. The teacher stated that they needed to follow the law, and the teacher insisted
on it. However, the boy s father thought otherwise. The boy s father believed that
the law was wrong. This causes confusion for the child having two different
opinions from two different people he respects. Parents might also try to answer the
question in a few short words rather than take their time giving a full explanation.

The Arnolfini Portrait Symbolism
One of the best Netherlandish Renaissance panel paintings is The Arnolfini
Portrait, by Jan van Eyck. Painted in 1434 on 3 vertical oak panel boards. Its
dimensions are 32.4 inches x 23.6 inches; panel 33.3 inches x 24.6 inches. It is on
display at the National Gallery in London. It is a full length portrait believed to
portray an Italian merchant, Giovanni di Nicolao Arnolfini and his wife. It was
painted in 1434, but the wife in the picture died in 1433 Jan van Eyck applied thin
layers of translucent glazes to intensify both colorand tone. The realism of this
painting is achieved by intense colors, variations in shade and light, the look of
three dimensional forms, almost perfect textures, and the use of direct and diffused
light. This painting is of a richly dressed couple, in what might be a reception room,
with a bed, chest, and blooming cherry tree outside. The deep symbolism of many
objects found in this painting are reinforced using color, light, and many of the
principals and elements of art.
The use color holds a lot of meaning in this painting, and the use of color reveals very
important symbolism itself. The values of hues were used to symbolize the vast
wealth of the two subjects, from the rich tones of the room to their clothing, but they
also mean more than that. The use of intense green on the woman represents that she
was from a family of merchants or high business. Since the woman was deceased
when this paining was done, her bright and rich blue and

As the senior class this year, our class decided to bug the junior highers by forming
BUG groups. BUG, standing for Buddies Under God , was designed with the
purpose of leading the junior highers by example. The world and those who don t
have a saving knowledge of Christ, look at the Church. The impression they
should see is one that results from following Christ s example. They should see
people who are full of the love of Christ. As leaders everyone should lead by example,
but the example that you use must be based on the Bible. It is foolish to believe
that people will want to do what they are told to do unless the leader is willing to do
what he has asked of his followers.
In addition to, and perhaps even more important than, leading by example is
leading through serving. Servant leadership at first thought sounds like an
oxymoron. Popular opinion believes that the leader is supposed to have people
who serve him. But if we are to follow Christ s example we must first serve. Quite
possibly the most perfect example of servant leadership is the well known story of
Jesus washing his disciple s feet. The disciples were appalled that Christ would do
such a thing for them because it was a servant s job and Christ was their leader. But
because He washed their feet I am willing to bet that the disciple s respect for Jesus
increased greatly. At the first retreat of the year our class went up a day early for a

Examples Of Ignorance In To Kill A Mockingbird
Ignorance is bliss, is a common adage that is used to justify someone s lack of
information or misunderstanding. This saying should not be used because it can lead
people to be indignant or lazy. When anyone chooses to avoid or ignore a situation
because they do not understand it, this can create more problems than originally had.
The residents of Maycomb create issues and complications from their ignoranceand
indignance. In the book, To Kill a Mockingbirdby Harper Lee, this ignorance is
shown through racism, sexism and distinct social classes.
The book was taken place in 1933 when racial tensions were high. This is clearly
seen through the common use of racial slurs and treatment of african americans in the
book. An example of this is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Various medical conditions can put a pregnant woman at an increased risk of death
if they were to carry a baby to full term or give birth. For example, cardiovascular

If the mother dies, the fetus will have an unlikely chance of survival, therefor the
mother s life needs to come first. A baby would need to be born within 10 minutes
or so and be farther along enough to have a good chance of living.
Couples with a detrimental medical condition may get pregnant and have significant
odds of the disease passing onto the baby, for example, HIV/AID.

Another major health risk that occurs when our oceans are being polluted is that
the seafood becomes contaminated with chemicals. Chemicals are beginning to
move up the food chain and soon into our plates. Research and studies show that
plastic is absorbed by animals when it floats in waters and when these innocent fish
and marine life ingest these foods it is endangering the marine ecosystem as a
whole. Now that we know how it is affecting us how does it reach our oceans to
start with? Some of it does come from ships that are sailing by but 80% of it comes
from land. Most storm drains have a common end point which is into our oceans.
And lets say Johnny is waking down the street and eating a lollipop and he litters

The Effect of Structure on Purpose in One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich One
Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn follows a Russian
prison inmate, Shukhov, through a standard day in the gulag system. The novel
displays Shukhov s struggle to survive through inhumane conditions and how he
deals and tolerates his suppressive and endless lifestyle. The novel provides insight
into the differing ideals and philosophical views that the very diverse groups of
prisoners hold. By using tools such as perspective and time, Solzhenitsyn provides a
platform from which he can bring multiple levels of meaning to an otherwise
monotonous and uneventful account. Time plays an important role in the structure
on One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. The lack of chapters, sections, or parts in
the book keep the narration continuous, creating the effect of an elongated day that
drags on. In the following passage, Shukhov reveals the how time is perceived in the

Examples Of Credentialing
#1. Define credentialing. Which credentialing methods are used in the United
States? What is the difference between regulation and legislation? Compare and
contrast the State versus Federal Regulatory processes. Discuss their scope of
authority as far as credentialing of health professions is concerned. Give an example
of a federal law that has a regulatory impact on healthcare providers? Why is it
important for nurse leaders to monitor and track other health professions licensing
boards? According to the ANCC (2017), credentialing is a term used to designate that
an individual, program, institution or product have met established standards set by
an agent (governmental or non governmental) recognized as qualified to carry out

Republicanism Vs Conservatism
This article, from the Sage Journals website, describes the tendency of individuals to
cooperate better with others who share their political ideologies. First of all, the
article explains the difference between Republicans and Democrats. According to the
authors, Republicans lean toward conservative views. This means that they support
stability and find hierarchy acceptable. In simple terms, conservatives believe that the
national government should interfere as little as possible. Democrats, on the other
hand, lean toward liberal views. This means that they support progressive change and
egalitarianism. Simply put, liberals support the participation of the national
government in various matters. Later in the article, the results of the... Show more

According to American Government and Politics Today, this term is a closely
linked set of beliefs about politics (13). In today s society, the two main political
ideologies can be split into liberalism and conservatism. The Republican party s
ideology is a prime example of this conservative view. According to American
Government and Politics Today, conservative individuals believe that the government
should promote economic liberty, morality, and social order (15). Tying this back to
the article, the Republican party is in favor of stability and a hierarchy. This means
that they support a national government that does not interfere with things such as
the economy. Democrats, on the other hand, lean toward liberal views. In the article,
Democrats support progressive change, which is a characteristic described in the
textbook. This means that Democrats want the national government to make positive
changes. In addition, the article provided an example of politics. According to
American Government and Politics Today, politics is the struggle over power or
influence within organizations (2). In this case, it was the struggle between the
Republicans and Democrats when it came to
Environmental Plans And Wildlife Management Programs
As discussed in previous projects, an airport is a significant element in any
community. This element has a direct and an indirect impact on the community. With
the establishment of an airport, many businesses start to facilitate the construction
works. After operating the airport, many businesses start to facilitate the airports
operations. In addition, the airport itself hires staff to run the business. Moreover,
airports contribute to the surrounding communities. Thus, the existing of an airport
might be harmful to the environment and the wildlife around the airport. Therefore,
many airport authorities utilize environmental plans and wildlife management
programs. On the other hand, wildlife is a hazard for airports in some cases. For
the FAA, wildlife strikes is one of the increasing issues in airports safety
(Greenberger, 2013). From 1988 till 2012, more than 219 people were killed and
more than 200 aircrafts were destroyed (Greenberger, 2013). Therefore, wildlife
management plans are beneficial for wildlife and the airport operations. In other
words, wildlife plans mitigate the risks for wildlife around airfields and mitigate
the wildlife of concern risk for airplanes. In 2012 during the approach of Air Force
Two at Santa Barbra Airport in California, a bird stroked the airplane. Another bird
strike happened during the landing of an Airbus 300 at Tulsa International airport,
which caused damaged to the wing and engine that cost about $ 6 millions

Cultural Shock And Culture Shock
1.Where, specifically, did you go or visit? Why did you go there?
In December 1991, I traveled on a Royal Caribbean Cruise with my husband for our
honeymoon. We visited many ports but the one that struck me the most with culture
shock was Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
2. Provide three (3) examples regarding how and why you felt culture shock....i.e.
provide detailed examples of actions, behaviors, language styles, food, clothing,
interaction styles, etc. in the new environment you were in that led to you
experiencing culture shock. Be sure to be detailed and specific.
Example 1: The taxi services in Ocho Rios were that we experienced was different
than any I have had in the United States. Having worked at an airport, traveling for
pleasure and depending on a taxi service on multiple occasions, the service in
Jamaica was quite unique. Taxis are easy to find and reasonably priced. The taxi
drivers are friendly, laid back, welcoming and willing to engage in a conversation
with you as you are traveling to your destination. They are prepared to wait for you
or schedule a time to come back to pick you up. The roads are narrow and they
drive on the left side of the road, making you feel somewhat uneasy, that is if have
never experienced driving on the other side of the road. The roadways are not very
well maintained and there is a good chance that you will see pedestrians, livestock
and other hazardous objects on the roadways. The vehicles that are used for taxi

Essay On Whistleblower Protection Act
Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2012
Introduction
Often the debate arises of whether human beings are born with an innate sense of
right from wrong and most often the consensus is, yes. The later question might then
be, what makes a person question doing the right thing? In the reality of someone
who may be labeled a whistleblower, apprehension to report wrongdoings may
reasonably come from fear of retaliation. Particularly when the wrong doing is
occurring within the federal government and/or secret intelligence community. Who
will stand up to these powers and what protection can policy afford those that take the
ultimate risk in doing the right thing by unveiling the crimes of waste, fraud, and
abuse within our government ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Rosa Parks Case
Although the Brown v Board of Education Supreme Court decision was the early
opening of the Civil Rights Movement, the second hand key player of the
revolution toward equal opportunities was Rosa Parks. On December 1st, 1955 in
Montgomery, Alabama, Parks refused to give up her seat that was located in the
front of a bus for a white passenger who clearly had the capability to stand (Brunner

contrast in their skin color was admired by many, however, she was soon accused
of breaking a segregation law according to the state s legislation at the time. Due to
her choice to rise against the social norms and the public s unwillingness to hear her

The Eye Of The Needle
The Eye of the Needle
The Eye of the Needle was always an iconic place along the Missouri until May
1997 when it collapsed under suspicious circumstances. On the expedition of
Lewis and Clark, the White Cliffs of Montana was a signature site described by
Lewis. One of the extraordinary landmarks was the Eye of the Needle, which
Meriwether Lewis first described its scenery by comparing its magnificent rock
formations to elegant ranges of lofting freestone buildings, having their parapets
well stocked with statuary (Burns, 1997). This was 1800 s talk, which doesn t make
sense to most people nowadays. Looking at an old picture of the Eye of the Needle
that my grandfather took while rafting the Missouri, I can see the beauty that people
raved about.
The rock structure is so perplexing. The arch made up of multiple boulders doesn t
look like anything that nature could ever make naturally. It defies gravity standing
on the very top of the rock wall lining the rushing Missouri. The light grey structure
has thousands of crevices that formed themselves from natural wear and tear over
time. 200 feet up, it towers over the Missouri River keeping a watchful eye on all of
the wildlife.
When blogger Chris describes this beautiful place he said,
The Eye of the Needle could be seen a few miles upstream while floating the
Missouri River, and from a distance it appeared to be just that a tiny window
allowing some of the sky to shine through. The structure was only about 11 feet high,
Fairness In The Ulstimatum Game Paradigm
In what is known as the ultimatum game paradigm, people have an opportunity to
split a pie of money between themselves and another player as they see fit.
However, if the other player rejects the offer, no player wins anything. If both
players were perfectly rational and did not incorporate fairness considerations into
their decisions, then those making offers would always offer $1 while keeping the
rest and those receiving offers would always accept the offer since winning $1 is
better than $0. However, people often reject offers where they receive less than 20%
of the pie because they perceive the offers to be unfair. Essentially, they derive more
utility from denying the proposer s allocation than they would have if the proposed
allocation went through. Even though they have complete outcome control, dictators
typically do not take all the money available in the pie despite having the option to
do so.
A real world analogue to a dictator game is pay what you want pricing. The concept
behind pay what you want ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We tend to activate parts of the brain associated with negative emotion when
considering unfair offers. Cross cultural studies suggest that fairness is an important
consideration in every society that has been tested, though its strength may vary
across cultures. Even monkeys tend to respond to unfairness by refusing to work for
rewards. Pay differentials play a key role in dictating organization level outcomes.
Companies with more pay equity tend to produce better products than ones with pay
inequity. Major league baseball teams with more pay equity tend to perform better
than those with pay inequity. The gap between CEO pay and the pay of the average
executive is negatively correlated with performance. Pay differentials have important
consequences because we use others outcomes as reference points to help us
determine the acceptability of our own

With the rise of at home brewing, local brewing, and the emergence of a wider
range beer style, give rise to more local and regional beers companies. Older and
more established companies like Molson Coors, and Anheuser Busch were able to
control the market for arguably the last forty years, both on the domestic and
foreign markets. Currently Molson Coors has twelve different brands that they sell
both foreign and domestically, however with this the time to diversify on a larger
scale is needed. According the NYSE, the price of stock of Molson Coors has risen
by almost ten dollars per stock over the last year. This has been in conjunction with
brands such as Blue Moon expanding their range of flavors of beer that they
provide. Now this has been some they have done over the years, however their time
line does somewhat match up with a release or limited release of a new flavor and an
increase of stock
Howard S Becker
Howard Becker
SOC 101: Introduction to Sociology
Professor Smith
March 4, 2012
Howard S. Becker Howard Becker was a famous American sociologist. He made
several contributions in the fields of occupations, education, deviance and art and
made several studies in those fields. He particularly made several studies in the
field of social deviance and occupations. Most of studies went into the interactions
between criminal people and regular people. Many of these studies included the
criminal minds of these people, relationship between them and regular society, and
how society viewed them. Howard Saul Becker was born on April 18, 1928 in
Chicago, Illinois (Bernard, 2012). He studied sociology at the University of Chicago

Society does little to nothing to help itself either. Criminal activity happens all
around us yet we still leave valuables in our cars, leave the doors unlocked, or let
our children roam free and then wonder why someone breaks into our car or house
and demand law enforcement fix the problem. Certain areas of the United States
have higher crimes than other parts such as the south has more crimes rates than
the north and the city of Washington D. C. has the highest crime rate in all the
country (Vissing, 2011). What we don t realize that if we have a little common
sense such as lock doors or keep our valuables tucked away we can prevent petty
crimes and at the same time save our taxpayer money. Society views deviants are
just that, those that defy the rules that were set in place for a reason or purpose
such as safety or as legal guidance. We view criminals as if they are lost but if we
taught them the right ways maybe we can help reverse some of the problems.
There are some crimes though that even criminals themselves don t like such as
child rapist, molesters, or others that commit sexual crimes. These are some of the
most serious offenders and even when they are in prison they get treated like dirt
and even murders look down on them. Society though has given some people a bad
name even though they don t deserve it such as people who have a lot of tattoos or
piercings. Society sees these people that maybe criminals

  • 4. What Does Realism In What Life Mean To Me Naturalism Realism can be difined in various ways, but William Dean Howell defines realism in the most simplistic, but very accurate, way. William Howell says realism is based off of one s life situations and these life situations will determine what one will find as true. One critical text chosen from the Realism and Naturalism Contextual Cluster would be Jack London s What Life Means to Me . Jack London, who lived from 1876 to 1916, had a series of writings on this topic in the early 1900 s. With this writing being created during a socialist time period, it adds emphases on realismand how to relate real life developments with certain situations that have took place. For the literary text option, Editha was the chosen, which was written by William Dean Howell. Howell, who lived from 1837 to 1920, was a realist novelist who published many famous stories and novels. From the stories of What Life Means to Me and Editha , they are two different stories, but they both describe realism from their own perspectives (which is what Howell defines as realism ). According to Howell, the truth can won t always be in one s favor and could case stress to an individual, but this does not change the fact that it is still the truth and must be acceptable as such. Adding twist and real emotions to a story will thicken the plot. In this story, Editha had a a lot of romaticisim being expressed, but in a surpressed way. Even though she had certain beliefs (what was real to her) does not mean that her beliefs were reality for others. Editha made her partner s reality merely a dream because he had to live out the reality that she wanted for him. She was a bit selfish in this story and that it a good example for truth because sometimes the truth can be ugly in
  • 5. Outliers Paradigm Analysis A paradigm is a model used to support ideas and claims made by an author. In the book Outliers the author Malcolm Gladwell uses many paradigms to further illustrate his findings. Throughout the book Gladwell discusses success and the things that effect ones chance at becoming successful in life. It is brought to our attention though Gladwell s use of paradigms that there are many small scale things that can effect ones chances at succeeding. Success is often associated with talent, genetics, and resources but little do people know there are many things that impact ones success. Throughout Gladwell s text he uses many paradigms. The first paradigm that he uses is in the introduction of the book. Gladwell begins by using a small town in Pennsylvania called Roseto. There was something very unique about this town. A doctor named Stewart Wolfe he found that the rates of heart diseasein this little town were significantly less for those under the age of sixty five, which during the time heart disease was a huge epidemic. This gave them an advantage on their ten thousand hours. • 7. Gender Discrimination And The Current Number Of Female... Summary Universally, only 4000 of the 130,000 commercial airline pilots are women, out of which only 450 are captains , this remained constant since the 1970s. The main drive of my research project was the curiosity to know why this number hasn t increased. Historically, women have confronted various challenges which have resulted in setbacks to their participation in the industry. Through my research, I was able to analyse and eliminate false factors which articulated to why there are so few female pilots. My outcome is high in quality due to its multi faceted arguments that discussed how gender discrimination and the role of women in society influence the current number of female commercial pilots. These factors continue to have a significant impact along with social perception and stigma of planes and piloting still lingering around its man a job . E1 Insightful evaluation of the research processes used, specific to the research question. The foundation of my research was based off a list that I prepared on of what I knew about women in aviation and what I would like to know. This developed the framework upon which a range of research processes was conducted. The research process of secondary researching and literature review helped me accomplish my intentions to refine my topic. I conducted a wide range of reading to broaden my understanding of women in aviation. This topic is embedded in social behaviour, however the findings of the scientific research were rather
  • 8. Janet Waking By John Crowe Ransom The poem, Janet Waking , symbolizes a turning point in a child s life. It starts out with a young kid in a slumber, and it ends with a mourning of a beloved pet. This shift that John Crowe Ransom creates shows just how drastic this step in life was. Since the story is told from a father s point of view, we get to look through a mature lense of how the child is impacted and just how young and undeveloped her mind is. As the poem goes on, we finally see what message the author is trying to convey. Throughout the poem, the poet carefully picks and constructs words and sentences that perfectly give the poem life and meaning. Firstly, the name of the hen is Chucky. Chucky is most definitely not a common name for a chicken, let alone for a hen.
  • 9. Renaissance Man Thesis I can t believe how much time has gone by. This was my first thought when I looked at the clock on my laptop screen. I had done it again. I was researching a topic we had discussed that day in history, and I got side tracked. Instead of just reading what needed to be read, I dug even deeper into the subject, reading article after article on The Renaissance. Why did I have to be so fascinated with The Renaissance? I asked myself. I could have this entire assignment done by now. I looked down at the worksheet, and I had only done half of it. I laughed at this because I knew all the answers. Well, I guess all that researching was worth it. I completed the assignment in ten minutes but I didn t stop there. I watched documentaries on The Renaissance... He is the first person who accurately depicted and documented human anatomy. His medical journals became the basis for what we know commonly today as Gray s Anatomy. Without his curiosity of the human body, we might not have the same knowledge as we do today. History shapes every subject we take in school, not only science. We have art and music history, the history of language, psychology, as well as others, and of course, the history of history itself. In conclusion, my love for European history engulfs me. I love reading about it and watching documentaries about it. I have my own collection of books on it that I bought to further my learning and education of it. It has also influenced my career path because I m considering a major in history. I am thankful for my love of history because I have learned so much about other cultures, societies, and even civilizations. History enriches our lives and expands our minds and our experiences, both real and vicarious. Knowing the past and embracing it will, hopefully, point us to a bright

  • 11. The Influence Of The Lost Generation The term Lost Generation came from Gertrude Stein, who heard a mechanic say to his employee You are all a lost generation . They are, according to Dictionary.com, the generation of men and women who came of age during or immediately following World War I: viewed, as a result of their war experiences and the social upheaval of the time, as cynical, disillusioned, and without cultural or emotional stability . World War Iwas the primary factor responsible for the change in the significance of self indulgence and wealth in the Lost Generations writing. World War 1 began on July 28, 1914. The conflict was started one month in advance, when Serbian nationalist, Gavrilo Princip, shot and killed the heir to the Austro Hungarian Empire and his wife. American President, Woodrow Wilson wanted to stay in a state of neutrality by continuing to trade with European countries on both sides of the war, but Germany disagreed with this. They sunk all ships coming into the British Isles, including neutral trade ships. This caused Wilson to declare war on Germany on April 2, 1917. The war ended November 11, 1918, when Germany called for a ceasefire due to limited resources. War ended right before the turn of the decade, influencing a lot of 20 s culture. The shift in culture was evident through clothing, gender roles, everyday life, wealth, self indulgence, and writing style. Women dressed more flashy, in shorter dresses, which were looked at as skanky before. Heels were more common now
  • 12. Coriolanus And Cressida Essay Chris Baldick defines rhetoric as the deliberate exploitation of eloquence for the most persuasive effect . This is certainly seen at work in Coriolanus and Troilus and Cressida, two Jacobean dramas with war and politics at their centre. In both plays, characters attempt to employ rhetoric as a persuasive tool for political ends. In Troilus and Cressida, Ulysses aims to use rhetoricand political machinations to mobilise a war weary army. On the other hand, Coriolanus s reluctance to use, and dislike of, rhetoric, results in further social disruption and war. The Farmer s Movement of the Late 19th Century Essay During the late nineteenth century, the agrarian movement evolved into a political force that energized American farmers to voice their political and economic grievances like never before. Although the movement essentially died after William Jennings Bryan s loss of the 1896 Presidential election, many of the reforms they fought for were eventually passed into law. American farmers found themselves facing hard times after the Civil War. In the West, the railroad had opened up enormous opportunities. Membership rose rapidly after the Panic of 1873, peaking at one and a half million members in 1875. The chief political goal of the Grangers was relief from the exorbitant carriage fees charged by the railroads and warehouses. They created hundreds of buying cooperatives, founded banks, pushed through legislation regulating railroads, and campaigned for political candidates who were sympathetic to their cause. Their campaign for government regulation of the railroad led to their most significant victory. In 1877, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Granger cause in Munn v. Illinois. In this case it upheld the power of the states to regulate the rates of railroads and other businesses since their conduct affected the community at large. This shows a departure from the prevalent laissez faire economics of the time and sets precedent for government regulation of business. As agricultural conditions improved, membership declined. Although few of their economic initiatives succeeded, much of their political agenda was advocated in south and west by the Farmer s Alliance. The Farmer s Alliance and the Grangers differed in that the Alliance was political from its inception. The farmers saw industrial capitalism as destructive to agrarian values. The Alliance sought to unite farmers against the new economic and political interests they felt were combining to deny farmers

Moses answered the people, Do not be afraid; God has come to test you, so that your fear of him, being always in your mind, may keep you from sinning b.The quote is significant because it explains how God works. Moses is talking to the people who fear the peals of thunder on the mountain and lightning flashes. They were also scared of the loud sound of the trumpet and the smoking mountain. Basically, Moses is telling them not to fear and that God is just testing them. He explains that God is hoping that if they are afraid, then they will not sin. I think this is important when believing in monotheism because there is only one God. In the Holy Bible of today s time, God says, Do not be afraid multiple times and this quote reveals the ethical dimension of the Hebrews monotheism. A key politician that represents this change was the former Senator Jesse Helms. Religion was the driving force of his political views and he was very vocal about his opinions. • 35. Children s Morals From Their Parents Many children ask multiple questions every single day. Many of them are lighthearted simple questions; some of them hide deeper meanings that provoke serious thoughts. The author Robert Coles finds that many children acquire morals through their parents. As he interviews children, he finds that less parents instill morals into their children than he thought. Although some children look to others for their morals, most of children gather their morals from their parents. Most children look to their parents for guidance in morals, but many parents fail to offer the guidance that children need. Many parents try offer an answerto their child s question but fall short in their explanation. We didn t know what to do; the teacher kept telling us that we should be good and obey the law, but my daddy said the law was wrong. (Coles, ,440) The kid wondered about the approach his teacher presented to him. The teacher stated that they needed to follow the law, and the teacher insisted on it. However, the boy s father thought otherwise. The boy s father believed that the law was wrong. This causes confusion for the child having two different opinions from two different people he respects. Parents might also try to answer the question in a few short words rather than take their time giving a full explanation. Two miners got killed. • 36. The Arnolfini Portrait Symbolism One of the best Netherlandish Renaissance panel paintings is The Arnolfini Portrait, by Jan van Eyck. Painted in 1434 on 3 vertical oak panel boards. Its dimensions are 32.4 inches x 23.6 inches; panel 33.3 inches x 24.6 inches. It is on display at the National Gallery in London. It is a full length portrait believed to portray an Italian merchant, Giovanni di Nicolao Arnolfini and his wife. It was painted in 1434, but the wife in the picture died in 1433 Jan van Eyck applied thin layers of translucent glazes to intensify both colorand tone. The realism of this painting is achieved by intense colors, variations in shade and light, the look of three dimensional forms, almost perfect textures, and the use of direct and diffused light. This painting is of a richly dressed couple, in what might be a reception room, with a bed, chest, and blooming cherry tree outside. The deep symbolism of many objects found in this painting are reinforced using color, light, and many of the principals and elements of art. The use color holds a lot of meaning in this painting, and the use of color reveals very important symbolism itself. The values of hues were used to symbolize the vast wealth of the two subjects, from the rich tones of the room to their clothing, but they also mean more than that. The use of intense green on the woman represents that she was from a family of merchants or high business. Since the woman was deceased when this paining was done, her bright and rich blue and
  • 37. Graduation Speech Essay example I m sure everyone here has seen a picture of a mother duck leading her ducklings. Imagine the mother duck taking her ducklings up some stairs. The mother duck easily climbs the first stair and waits for the other little ducks to climb up. The first duckling stretches its wings as high up in the air as it can and stands on the tips of its little webbed feet. With a little help from its beak it manages to barely make the first step. Sometimes it requires a little help from mama duckto boost itself up. Despite the cute and rather funny part of this picture, it is possible to learn a lot from the ducks. As the senior class this year, our class decided to bug the junior highers by forming BUG groups. BUG, standing for Buddies Under God , was designed with the purpose of leading the junior highers by example. The world and those who don t have a saving knowledge of Christ, look at the Church. The impression they should see is one that results from following Christ s example. They should see people who are full of the love of Christ. As leaders everyone should lead by example, but the example that you use must be based on the Bible. It is foolish to believe that people will want to do what they are told to do unless the leader is willing to do what he has asked of his followers. In addition to, and perhaps even more important than, leading by example is leading through serving. Servant leadership at first thought sounds like an oxymoron. Popular opinion believes that the leader is supposed to have people who serve him. But if we are to follow Christ s example we must first serve. Quite possibly the most perfect example of servant leadership is the well known story of Jesus washing his disciple s feet. The disciples were appalled that Christ would do such a thing for them because it was a servant s job and Christ was their leader. But because He washed their feet I am willing to bet that the disciple s respect for Jesus increased greatly. At the first retreat of the year our class went up a day early for a time of fellowship and

For example, cardiovascular disease. If the mother dies, the fetus will have an unlikely chance of survival, therefor the mother s life needs to come first. A baby would need to be born within 10 minutes or so and be farther along enough to have a good chance of living. Couples with a detrimental medical condition may get pregnant and have significant odds of the disease passing onto the baby, for example, HIV/AID. Now that we know how it is affecting us how does it reach our oceans to start with? Some of it does come from ships that are sailing by but 80% of it comes from land. Most storm drains have a common end point which is into our oceans. And lets say Johnny is waking down the street and eating a lollipop and he litters the wrapper. David Cheng Ms. Chappell AP English 15 November 2015 The Effect of Structure on Purpose in One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn follows a Russian prison inmate, Shukhov, through a standard day in the gulag system. The novel displays Shukhov s struggle to survive through inhumane conditions and how he deals and tolerates his suppressive and endless lifestyle. The novel provides insight into the differing ideals and philosophical views that the very diverse groups of prisoners hold. By using tools such as perspective and time, Solzhenitsyn provides a platform from which he can bring multiple levels of meaning to an otherwise monotonous and uneventful account. Time plays an important role in the structure on One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. The lack of chapters, sections, or parts in the book keep the narration continuous, creating the effect of an elongated day that drags on. In the following passage, Shukhov reveals the how time is perceived in the camp: No zek ever lays eyes on a clock or watch... All a zek needs to know is how soon is reveille? How long till work parade? Till dinnertime? (171) . The effect of time elongation is done with the lack of specific times; events are only described chronologically and specific times are rarely used. This element has a direct and an indirect impact on the community. With the establishment of an airport, many businesses start to facilitate the construction works. After operating the airport, many businesses start to facilitate the airports operations. In addition, the airport itself hires staff to run the business. Moreover, airports contribute to the surrounding communities. Thus, the existing of an airport might be harmful to the environment and the wildlife around the airport. Therefore, many airport authorities utilize environmental plans and wildlife management programs. On the other hand, wildlife is a hazard for airports in some cases.
