Immanuel Kant s Philosophy On Moral And Good And Evil...
Moral philosophy is a branch of philosophy which focuses and investigates the ideas of right and
wrong and good and evil behavior. Moral philosophers have researched and justified the logical
consequences of moral or ethical beliefs. When we think of morals, we think of rules that tell us which
actions are right and which are wrong. But, do human beings have the ability to judge for themselves,
based on the facts of a situation, what is right and wrong, what they should do and not do? Well,
according to Immanuel Kant, who is one of the most influential philosophers of all times, believes that
human beings should not be making decisions based on the facts of a situation, but should act
according to universal moral codes that apply in all situations regardless of the outcome. Kant refers to
these universal moral codes as categorical imperatives and must be fully followed at all times across
all circumstances. In his work, Groundwork of Metaphysic of Morals, Immanuel Kant talks about
three formulations of imperative. The first formulation of imperative is Act only according to that
maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law without
contradiction. Kant believes that our actions should be the same in all situations, regardless of the
outcome. Some acts are always wrong, even if the act leads to an admirable outcome. Kant believes
that emotions and consequences should not play a role in moral action. We are morally obligated or
have a duty

Ethical Leadership in 21st Century Global Organizations
Ethical Leadership in 21st Century Global Organisations
Introduction:
Business leadership is inherently challenging, calling for an individual or collective of leaders with a
strong sense of organization, a critical understanding of the internal peculiarities of a given operation
and a firm recognition of the ever shifting external conditions contextualizing the business. The
demands incumbent upon organizational leadership require an integration of vision, pragmatism,
strategic orientation and ethicality. However, as the circumstances shaping the global business
environment shift, so too do the nature of these various demands. This is the condition at the center of
the current reading and research on ethical leadership in 21st century global orgnisations. For effective
leadership to achieve survival, let alone success, in a context where the collision of varying cultural,
legal and ethical dispositions has come to influence decision making, it is necessary to acknowledge
and adapt to a more global understanding of achieving organizational goals. As the discussion here
will demonstrate, there is a distinct ethical complexity to this adaptation.
Synthesis of ideas: Indeed, this is the focus of the series of ideas expressed within our literature. Here,
researchers acknowledge that the inception and rise of globalization, has altered the way that 21st
century businesses compete. With the continued dismantling of trade obstacles between borders and
across oceans, the

You want to start out the New Year heading in the right direction, which means you re looking for
ways to lead, motivate, and boost revenue and profit. Well, here are ten highly effective tips that focus
on motivating your team.
10 Key Ways To Motivate Your Team
1. Ask Key Questions. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Phrases like, You ve brought up an interesting point; let me think about it and I ll get back to you , or I
hadn t looked at it that way before. How would we implement your idea? are very effective, especially
if you make it a point to get back to your team. Don t just offer lip service. Give weight to each valid
idea.
4. Lead By Following. Yes, you read right. Following. Read, absorb, discover, explore what other
great leaders have done and learn from them. BE the leader through credible track making. Yes, it s
good to break new ground, and entrepreneurs thirst for that opportunity, but recognize that great
people have risen to the top for a reason. Learn from them and lead with confidence.
5. Integrity Is Key. Don t hold back the truth. Treat your team like the adults they are and build
confidence and trust by sharing the ups and downs. It s always a good idea to share positive growth
and to bring challenges to the forefront. Steps, then, can be taken to work through the challenges.
6. Revisit Your Vision And Mission. IF you ve lost sight of either or both of these, I guarantee your
team has lost sight of them as well. A great leader helps his or her team focus on the goal. And
carrying out that vision is what your mission is all about. Make sure your team understands what the
vision and mission are, and clarify each step that leads to those goals. Create a plan walking through
each step, including tracking who s

Daisy And Myrtle Wilson In The Great Gatsby
Looking at first glance the wealthy and dainty Daisy Buchannan, Gatsby s object of worship, seems to
be completely opposite Myrtle Wilson, a lewd and vulgar woman whom is married to the mechanic
George Wilson and whom was actually having an affair with Daisy s husband. If you look at the
motives and personalities of these two mistresses you will see that both of then had an attraction for
men other than their husbands; although, their desires for other men were not necessarily for the same
reason. Daisy had known Gatsby five years prior and they had developed into a beautiful romance that
is remembered in the book as almost ideal, but Gatsby left her and Daisy ended up marrying Tom

There was an unmistakable air of natural intimacy about the picture. (145). Then when Gatsby and
Daisy reunite we see that Daisy truly is a hopeless romantic and ultimately this is the reason that she
has an affair with Gatsby. Daisy after all of the years and after having a marriage has always kept the
dream alive that she and Gatsby would reunite. Before her marriage Daisy actually tried to make the
dream a reality by visiting Gatsby, Her mother had found her packing her bag one winter night in New
York and say good by to a soldier who was going over seas. (75). This is a prime example of Daisy
and how her being a hopeless romantic had previously persuaded her to go to Gatsby and the past is
now repeating and she wants to go back to Gatsby again. Myrtle on the other hand certainly is not a
hopeless romantic, but has an affair based mostly power, wealth, and social status. Tom and Myrtle
met on a train car and they had feelings for each other from the start. One of the first things that
Myrtle says about Tom is all about money, A dress suit and patent leather shoes I couldn t keep my

Lab Report
Introduction
Diffusion is defined as the movement of molecules or ions from an area of a higher concentration to
an area where they are in lower concentration. The driving force for diffusion is kinetic energy. The
speed of diffusion is influenced by the molecular, temperature, bumping bouncing off each other
creating equilibrium in the molecules. The atoms molecules are the building blocks of cells. Cells
have selectively permeable membranes that only allow the movement of certain solutes or solutions.
Diffusion is key to the functions in a cell. Diffusion helps to transport nutrients to cells in the body or
plants. Water is an example of this movement like absorption of water into roots.
Osmosis is the diffusion of a solvent or movement of water through semi permeable membrane from a
region of higher water or solvent into a potential lower region of water (hypertonic solute to a region
of lower water potential (hypertonic solute) to a region of lower water potential (hypertonic solute). ...

Hyperosmolality is usually related to hypernatremia and/or hyperglycemia. Identifying the cause and
carefully calculating the water deficit is crucial to appropriate management. Hyponatremia may be
hypertonic, isotonic, or hypotonic. When hypotonic, it may be hypervolemic, euvolemic, or
hypovolemic in nature. Determining the precise nature of the hyponatremia allows the clinician to
focus the therapy appropriately. The rate of development of hyponatremia is crucial to safe and
appropriate treatment. In acutely developing hyponatremia, hypertonic saline is required, whereas in
slowly developing hyponatremia, water restriction and slow correction is required to avoid the
syndrome of osmotic demyelination. Appropriate diagnosis and management of hyperkalemia and

Persuasive Techniques In Bowling For Columbine
A documentary is a genre of film that provides a factual report on a particular story, viewpoint,
message or experience. In this essay, two documentaries, Bowling for columbine by Michael Moore
and Made in Bangladesh by CBC news will be explored to show how persuasive techniques are used
to make an audience feel a particular way.
Firstly, Bowling for Columbine Moore s addresses the issue of gun violence in America following a
school shooting. On the other hand, Made in Bangladesh by CBC news focuses on the issue of
sweatshops and maltreatment of workers in Bangladesh after the collapsing of an uncertified
sweatshop. These two documentaries effectively and successfully use persuasive techniques to present
a confrontational message on social justice. Also, they position the audience to sympathize with the
victims and in turn want to do something about the issue. These techniques include the use careful
selection of material, the use of cinematography, music and sound effects, sequencing and editing.
Although the two documentaries have different content they equally manage to persuade viewers that
the content is meaningful. The impact that the documentaries had on me or other audience members
was that of sympathy and outrage about the incidents that fell upon innocent people featured in these
documentaries.
Both documentaries were careful about the material which was used and the that information was
included and excluded. One similar trait that both documentaries share

COMPETITORS
The recruitment policies of the competitors also effect the recruitment function of the organizations.
To face the competition, many times the organizations have to change their recruitment policies
according to the policies being followed by the competitors.
4. In the brief dissertation below, I will describe the benefits of three different recruitment methods ,
testing, practical assessment and telephone interviews and the benefits of three different selection
methods, advertising, using references and company website.
Selecting tests can measure knowledge, skills and ability, as well as other characteristics, such as
personality traits and they are useful to evaluate the right employee for a specific role, by identifying
the candidate personality. For example, if a company or department needs to hire a new manager, a
psychological/aptitude test may help to understand better if the candidate has the features required for
that specific job position (strong leadership skills, such as high self confidence, calmness, flexibility,
etc).
The practical assessment has the benefit to allow the candidates to show in practice to have the skills
required for that job position. It also have the advantage to get precious information about that
candidates (how they work under pressure; how they dial with performance anxiety ; non verbal

Discussing Critically Religious and Secular Ethical Arguments About Environmental Issues
In his book, The End Of Nature , Bill McKibben highlights the fact that we are destroying the natural
environment at an increasing rate, for our own short term gain. Since the day that man created
agriculture, and industrialisation to follow, the imbalance between man and nature has been
growing[1/2]. This has been accompanied by a massive population increase, tripling in the twentieth
century alone[3]. Human pressure on nature has never been so great. Such pressure has resulted in
environmental issues , ranging from global warming and eutrophication, to the depletion of natural

These are things such as the right to life, freedom of speech, and equality[4]. This tends to be where
the unanimity of opinion ends, some may then consider animal rights, and more extremely, the rights
of non sentient beings like plants, or even inanimate entities, such as rocks.
Views towards ecology on the basis of rights can be separated into deep ecology and shallow ecology ,
distinguished by the Norwegian philosopher Arne Naess[5]. Quite broadly, shallow ecology dictates
that only human beings have rights, other organisms and the environment itself do not. Deep ecology
believes that this is not so, and that animals and the natural world do have rights. Shallow ecology is
anthropocentric, maintaining that the environment should be handled in whichever way is most
beneficial to humankind. No value is placed in the existence of non human animals, other organisms,
and the environment, further than their instrumental use to us.
Shallow ecologists would argue strongly against the idea of inanimate entities such as mountains and
other ecosystems having rights or interests . However, regardless of whether the mountain itself is able
to be interested in its own continued existence, it sustains a great number

This is known as a hard inquiry, and it usually knocks a few points from the credit score.
Bad credit reports can affect ones life in several negative ways. With a bad credit report and a low
credit score, it is harder to receive a credit card, an automobile loan, a mortgage, or possibly a job. It is
important that one is always aware of the credit decisions made. Paying bills late, maxing out credit
cards, and filling out too many credit applications in a brief period will also have a negative impact on
the credit report. To keep a good credit report, one should pay bills on time and apply for credit
sparingly. Last, but certainly not least, one should check their credit report annually! A free credit
report is available from each of the three credit reporting agencies each year. This is something one
should take advantage of since it will help them judge whether they are managing their credit wisely.
It is imperative that one keeps a good credit score. If not, one could miss out on many opportunities.
For example, one may find an opening for their dream job that they are qualified for, but the negative
credit report causes them to not get the job. Do not let this happen! Maintain a good credit report and
opportunities like this will not pass by!
People have become increasingly dependent on credit. Therefore, it s crucial that one understands

13. When should you write like you talk and when is it best to be more formal?
There are two forms of communication: formal and casual. When writing, you need to know your
audience and select your words carefully. Formal writing is used in professional settings, college level
papers, book reports, writing to an authority s figure, or business to allow you to get your point across
without using offensive words or voice. This type of writing is eloquent with proper use of grammar

Although, as in formal writing, you cannot always use the same simple words. The use of big words
gives ones writing more punch and helps the reader to improve their vocabulary. It is very important
when using big words that they are used appropriately and do not change the content of what is being
written. A writer needs to use caution when picking big words. If the reader has trouble understanding
the words used then what the writer is trying to say gets lost. Some may also say that using big words
makes the writer look pompous. There is a very fine line between using the precise word, and using a
word that sounds important. It is more important to select the precise word to describe a situation, than
to settle on another word that just doesn t convey the same feeling. As Mark Twain once said, The
difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter it s the difference
between the lightning bug and the lightning. 15. Why is the you viewpoint important and why should
you avoid using the you viewpoint manipulatively?

interest. The writer needs to concentrate on what the reader needs versus what you want from the

desires are not fulfilled. New home, new man and new experience for her was like wonderland. She
was unable to understand the situation in which she was being trapped. Silent, constant, still,
perplexed and talking to her indistinctly her words faded in the dusk of agony. She endeavors to

Comparison Essay Twilight vs Vampire Diaries
It s easy to compare Twilight and The Vampire Diaries, partly because they do have similar premises
(teen girls in love with vampires attending high school.
The Vampire Diaries and Twilight really bring different things to the culture of young adult vampire
stories
Sex is one of the differences that are easily compared between both shows. Specifically, who s having
it and who isn t. In the first three novels of Twilight, there is no sex between the protagonist, Bella,
and her vampire boyfriend, Edward, though it s implied that some of the other vampires are far more
open to sex. Bella, who wants sex and tries to seduce Edward into it, is presented as wildly out of line,
a hysterical girl who doesn t know what s best for her and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There s more to life than romantic love, but not a lot more to Bella s life she does make decisions and
pursue the goals important to her.
Elena also has quite a bit of agency. She, too, is the one actively pursuing Stefan, at least in the
beginning. Thankfully, she also pursues goals beyond him: she is struggling to come to terms with her
parents deaths; she wants to help her brother, Jeremy, find a better way to deal with his grief; she s
trying to find her place in the hierarchy of the school social structure when she s changed and no
longer is interested in the place she held before, etc. Her attraction to and, later, love of Stefan are but
part of her personality and that which drives her to act.
Elena does get to see more action than Bella, both sexually but also plot related. She is right there
when vampires attack or a ghost possesses Bonnie or the secret vampire hunters search for vampires at
town, etc. She is fully a part of the human world, comfortable with her friends and family, and she
makes difficult choices in order to keep them safe.
I much prefer Elena to Bella, at least in part because I feel like I know her better and that she is a more
positive role model, but both make decisions and take steps to achieve their goals. I may not agree
with those goals or those actions, but neither Elena nor Bella is a completely blank, inactive character.

Grignard Reagent From An Unknown Aryl Halide
7) Discussion:
In this experiment, the goal is to prepare a Grignard reagent from an unknown aryl halide and identify
the identity of the aryl halide by converting it to a carboxylic acid to determine its melting point and
molar mass (determined by titration). The experiment began by dissolving 0.25g of magnesium
powder in a 25mL round bottom with 5mL of anhydrous ether and stirring with a stir bar. Then the
round bottom flask was set up for reflux using a Claisen adapter where the vertical part is covered
with a septum to prevent air from mixed with the solution. The septum is very important because the
Grignard product can react with oxygen to produces a carboxylic acid, which is not wanted. Also, the
choice of anhydrous solvent is important because the Grignard product can react with water to
produce an alkane. With the reflux set up, the next step was to add the halide. 1.2mL of the unknown
bromoarene mixed with 2.5mL ether was slowly added dropwise through the septum using the needle
and syringe. The bromoarene had to be added slowly because there Grignard product would undergo
another unwanted side reaction by reacting with the unknown bromoarene. The product with be a new
carbon carbon bond between the unknown bromoarene and the Grignard product. If the bromoarene is
added slowly, the chances of the Grignard product reacting with the bromoarene over the magnesium
is low because magnesium exists in larger concentration in the solution. Once all the unknown

Symptoms And Symptoms Of Migraines
Migraines are debilitating conditions that impinge on the lives of between 12 and 24 million
Americans, and remain grossly under diagnosed. World Health Organization has ranked migraine in
2010 Global Burden Survey as 3rd most prevalent disorder and the 7th highest cause of disability
worldwide (Singh 255). Individuals suffering from migraines typically cannot participate in normal
daily activities such as school, work, or social occasions due to pain. With an onset of a migraine,
people often retreat to a quiet and dark room until the migraine subsides. Individuals experiencing
numerous and frequent migraines are often confined to these spaces. This correlates to people

Migraines are linked to heredity.
Anatomically speaking, what is taking place during a migraine? A common headache is caused by the
cranial blood vessels narrowing, while migraine pain is due to the expansion of those blood vessels.
During a migraine, the tissue surrounding the brain is swollen, causing intense pain. Migraines are
caused by a progression of several things: pain sensing cells in your brain stem pick up on this change
in your routine and release a chemical; this chemical attacks other pain sensing cells nearby, making
them more sensitive to pain. They also release neuropeptides; some of these chemicals begin to work
on the muscles surrounding the blood vessels near the surface of your brain. Those muscles relax,
making the blood vessels dilate and causing more blood to flow. This is where doctors think the aura
in a classic migraine comes from. Some of the neuropeptide chemicals cause the cranial vessels to
begin leaking, making the tissue around the area swell. Research now shows that the combination of
these factors; increased sensitivity, swelling brain tissues and swelling of blood vessels, is the cause of
migraines (Pocock 2). For the people afflicted with this disease, it is essential to comprehend what is
anatomically and physiologically occurring during a migraine episode. There are four possible phases
to a migraine attack: prodrome, aura, headache, and postdrome. In the initial phase: prodrome, it is
often referred to as the

The Sentiment Analysis Review
Abstract Sentiment analysis is the computational study of opinions, sentiments, subjectivity,
evaluations, attitudes, views and emotions expressed in text. Sentiment analysis is mainly used to
classify the reviews as positive or negative or neutral with respect to a query term. This is useful for
consumers who want to analyse the sentiment of products before purchase, or viewers who want to
know the public sentiment about a new released movie. Here I present the results of machine learning
algorithms for classifying the sentiment of movie reviews which uses a chi squared feature selection
mechanism for training. I show that machine learning algorithms such as Naive Bayes and Maximum
Entropy can achieve competitive accuracy when trained using features and the publicly available
dataset. It analyse accuracy, precision and recall of machine learning classification mechanisms with

The next step in the sentiment analysis is to extract and select text features. Here feature selection
technique treat the documents as group of words (Bag of Words (BOWs)) which ignores the position

A chi square test also referred to as a statistical hypothesis test in which the sampling distribution of
the test statistic is a chi square distribution when the null hypothesis is true. The chi square test is used
to determine whether there is a significant difference between the expected frequencies and the

How Did Josef Mengele Study Twins
Josef Mengele was born on March 16, 1911 in Gunzburg, Germany. Mengele is most famous for
studying twins. He studied Jewish and gypsy twins, wanting to make them more like the Aryan race.
To do this, he injected chemicals into their eyes to make them blue, pretended to be nice to children so
they would let him do this. In addition, Mengele drew blood from twins, taking so much from some
that they bled to death. After these twins had died, he would dissect their bodies. In one experiment,
he sewed two sisters together to make them siamese twins. Mengele also did experiments on other
people, although it was less common. He impregnated girls with their own brothers or even their
fathers. Other experiments he did include: performing sex changes,

Australi The Biggest Country
Australia is the sixth largest country, and the largest island continent in the world, and full of an
abundance of natural resources. Geographically Australia is about the same size as the lower 48
United States, however the population is less than the size of Los Angeles at 23.6 million. The
majority of the population is therefore grouped into the capital cities Sydney in New South Wales,
Melbourne in Victoria, Adelaide in South Australia, Brisbane in Queensland, Darwin in Northern
Territory, and Perth in Western Australia, Canberra in Australian Capital Territory. While Australia
may be small in population, they also have a level of consumerism that equals the US, UK and other
first world countries. The amount of natural resources in Australia is astounding and with the
population grouped around the country its works to allow the country to utilize them as much as
possible. For Australia being such a large country with many natural resources, the use of their mining
industry has helped improve the economy and helped develop a stronger country.
Over the past years, Australia has gone through many changes associated with their economy. In 1996,
Australia was in a period of recession, but began to have economic growth in the years of 1997
through to the early 2000s. This growth was due to the weakening of the Australia dollar causing an
increase in market shares for Australia exports. With the help of the decrease in prices of exports for

The Importance Of A More Effective Type Of Teacher...
Danielson s main purpose in writing the article is to explain the need for a more effective type of
teacher evaluation system. She wants to describe the weaknesses of the checklist type of teacher
evaluations that has been used as the norm in the past. Danielson describes a more effective form of
teacher evaluation that will be useful for the administrator and also the teacher. Teacher evaluations
are very critical in decision making for schools because this is a way for them to credibly show the
school board that they have highly effective teachers and at the same time allow those highly effective
teachers an opportunity to grow and learn in the situation. Danielson suggests that in the past
administrators have been more worried about the decision making process and being able to give
evidence that the teachers they have hired are doing an high quality job.
Danielson describes two main reasons why we should evaluate teaching including making sure that
you have high quality teaching and for professional development. She makes the point that these two
reasons are not able to be met by the old method of checklist evaluation. For a teacher evaluation to be
effective and useful they need to be able to meet both types of criteria including evaluating high level
teaching and professional development. Danielson explains that when thinking about the criteria of
evaluating high level teaching that there are important parts of the process that creates a valid
evaluation process.

Machiavelli elaborates on various ways to acquire principalities and provides the reader with a

analyses the strengths and flaws of certain paths to conquest, how to maintain a hold on power and the
importance of strong arms. Machiavelli sees humans as easily persuaded and simple minded. He

Imitating the work of a past ruler is also important because If his own virtue does not reach that far, at
least he will be in the odor of it . Pope Jullius demonstrates this perfectly by continuing through
Alexander VI footsteps and finding new ways to make the church great by means of money and arms.
Fear is another strength that sustains Ecclesiastical Principalities. Humans believe in God s practices
because they fear what would happen if they seized to believe. Moses invokes fear by brutally killing
all who lost faith in him. Those who Moses spared remain thankful that they were not harmed while
those who were harmed stay weak and too scared to rebel. Machiavelli insinuates that all humans want
to be controlled and guided. When not under direct guidance, humans are fearful of their life outside
the Ecclesiastical Principality. Fear was also used to maintain dominance by Remirro. He placed a
mangled corpse in the middle of town square which left the people astounded. In doing so, people fear
the Prince s brutality and therefore, obey him. This is seen in all types of principalities. Overall,
Machiavelli s first impression of Ecclesiastical Principalities is that they differ from the others because

T Ball-Personal Narrative
Have you ever watched a game of T ball? You re watching kids with hats far too big for their heads, or
bats too heavy for their arms to swing; it is adorable. I was one of those kids, and during a T ball game
the first signs of an issue that would haunt me for years to come appeared. In the dugout during a t ball
game, I was sitting on a bench waiting to go up to bat. A teammate asked me if the player currently up
to bat was my brother. I turned to him and said, That is my brodder. He looked confused and
responded with He is your budder? No, I countered, He is my broffer. With an even more confused
look he asked me again, He is your buffer? Now I was annoyed. I thought I sounded normal, but he
was looking at me like I had a third eye. He. is. My. broffer! I said, exaggerating the word slowly and
condescendingly. That is where the memory cuts off. I don t remember whether he finally understood
what I was trying to say, or if I just gave up in frustration. Although this casual conversation may seem
like a one time thing, it was not. My mispronunciation problem would follow me into fruition.

In 1912 when the buck law went into effect it was set to increase the number of deer as well as limit
the abundance of deer to prey on other organisms. This was not as simple as thought, many were
illegally killed leaving many newborns to starve during the winter. (Brown, 1956). Hunting soon
began to be open during certain date ranges during the season to allow more regulation on hunting of
the White tailed deer. (Brown, 1956). These deer prefer matured forests with practically no
undergrowth (Brown, 1956) which brings them to the same place, around Alfred, New York. Although
it may seem that there are more deer, the regulations help, but the deer don t reproduce as many,
squirrels reproduce 2 4 per litter twice a year (Frankis).
Wildlife, for the most part, is out on its own having to rummage and scour the woodlands or their
habitats for food. While looking for food it can be dangerous, poisoning of wildlife occurs all the time.
It has been found that Anticoagulant Rodenticides are commonly used in New York and this cause
many mammals to be poisoned. Of all the animals that are poisoned, the White Tailed Deer and the

compared to several years ago. By means of online classes more adult students pursuing higher

Of course the Internet brings lots of competition among retailers, which affects the supply conditions
within an industry. Companies overseas are able to place their products on the net, which in return
expands their market, and therefore sell to a larger area this causes force of lower prices and creates a
greater incentive for sellers to set apart their products or services.
The article emphasized on how changes in information technology can influence supply conditions in
the market with the following example, Encyclopedia Britannica. Encyclopedia Britannica at one
point was a very expensive set of research books that parents would purchase to help their child s

has had to market their product other ways. They now have a CD ROM available, which contains
things such as video clips, audio clips, and pictures. This new Britannica format is less expensive as
the books.

Irgages And Disadvantages Of Alternative Dispute Resolution
1) Alternative Dispute resolution or ADR refers to any sort of action that is utilize instead of a court of
action. The following are advantages to alternative dispute resolution.
One of this advantages is that it allows both parties to obtain some sort of gain because in a court of
action only party would be the beneficiary. Another benefit is that the process would not be as
bureaucratic as it would be on court of action where representatives of the company would also focus
on the case and not in the activities of the company. ADR also provides the ability for the company to
not get negative attention as matters can be keep private. Lawyer and administrative cost would be
greatly reduce because not many lawyers would be need it for negotiations. Furthermore, Alternative
Dispute resolution are often use by companies operating in international markets.
2) Negotiation, refers to the process of having the two sides come to an agreement without the help of
an externality. This could be beneficial to both parties because they can come to an agreement of their
own terms and both side win. Mediation is when a neutral authority brings both sides to the table to
help solve the dispute. Benefits to doing this process, is that the mediator can provide alternatives to
how to solve the dispute, although results are nonbinding. Arbitration is when a third party decides the

Moral philosophers have researched and justified the logical consequences of moral or ethical beliefs. When we think of morals, we think of rules that tell us which actions are right and which are wrong. But, do human beings have the ability to judge for themselves, based on the facts of a situation, what is right and wrong, what they should do and not do? Well, according to Immanuel Kant, who is one of the most influential philosophers of all times, believes that human beings should not be making decisions based on the facts of a situation, but should act according to universal moral codes that apply in all situations regardless of the outcome. Kant refers to these universal moral codes as categorical imperatives and must be fully followed at all times across all circumstances. In his work, Groundwork of Metaphysic of Morals, Immanuel Kant talks about three formulations of imperative. The first formulation of imperative is Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law without contradiction. Kant believes that our actions should be the same in all situations, regardless of the outcome. Some acts are always wrong, even if the act leads to an admirable outcome. Kant believes that emotions and consequences should not play a role in moral action. We are morally obligated or have a duty ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For effective leadership to achieve survival, let alone success, in a context where the collision of varying cultural, legal and ethical dispositions has come to influence decision making, it is necessary to acknowledge and adapt to a more global understanding of achieving organizational goals. As the discussion here will demonstrate, there is a distinct ethical complexity to this adaptation. Synthesis of ideas: Indeed, this is the focus of the series of ideas expressed within our literature. • 8. Diffusion Lab Report William B. Walker Professor Graves Human Anatomy Physiology Lab 1 Lab Report Introduction Diffusion is defined as the movement of molecules or ions from an area of a higher concentration to an area where they are in lower concentration. The driving force for diffusion is kinetic energy. The speed of diffusion is influenced by the molecular, temperature, bumping bouncing off each other creating equilibrium in the molecules. The atoms molecules are the building blocks of cells. Cells have selectively permeable membranes that only allow the movement of certain solutes or solutions. Diffusion is key to the functions in a cell. Diffusion helps to transport nutrients to cells in the body or plants. Water is an example of this movement like absorption of water into roots. In this essay, two documentaries, Bowling for columbine by Michael Moore and Made in Bangladesh by CBC news will be explored to show how persuasive techniques are used to make an audience feel a particular way. Firstly, Bowling for Columbine Moore s addresses the issue of gun violence in America following a school shooting. On the other hand, Made in Bangladesh by CBC news focuses on the issue of sweatshops and maltreatment of workers in Bangladesh after the collapsing of an uncertified sweatshop. These two documentaries effectively and successfully use persuasive techniques to present a confrontational message on social justice. Also, they position the audience to sympathize with the victims and in turn want to do something about the issue. These techniques include the use careful selection of material, the use of cinematography, music and sound effects, sequencing and editing. Although the two documentaries have different content they equally manage to persuade viewers that the content is meaningful. The impact that the documentaries had on me or other audience members was that of sympathy and outrage about the incidents that fell upon innocent people featured in these documentaries. Both documentaries were careful about the material which was used and the that information was included and excluded. One similar trait that both documentaries share ... Quite broadly, shallow ecology dictates that only human beings have rights, other organisms and the environment itself do not. Deep ecology believes that this is not so, and that animals and the natural world do have rights. Shallow ecology is anthropocentric, maintaining that the environment should be handled in whichever way is most beneficial to humankind. No value is placed in the existence of non human animals, other organisms, and the environment, further than their instrumental use to us. Grignard Reagent From An Unknown Aryl Halide 7) Discussion: In this experiment, the goal is to prepare a Grignard reagent from an unknown aryl halide and identify the identity of the aryl halide by converting it to a carboxylic acid to determine its melting point and molar mass (determined by titration). The experiment began by dissolving 0.25g of magnesium powder in a 25mL round bottom with 5mL of anhydrous ether and stirring with a stir bar. Then the round bottom flask was set up for reflux using a Claisen adapter where the vertical part is covered with a septum to prevent air from mixed with the solution. The septum is very important because the Grignard product can react with oxygen to produces a carboxylic acid, which is not wanted. Also, the choice of anhydrous solvent is important because the Grignard product can react with water to produce an alkane. With the reflux set up, the next step was to add the halide. 1.2mL of the unknown bromoarene mixed with 2.5mL ether was slowly added dropwise through the septum using the needle and syringe. The bromoarene had to be added slowly because there Grignard product would undergo another unwanted side reaction by reacting with the unknown bromoarene. Anatomically speaking, what is taking place during a migraine? A common headache is caused by the cranial blood vessels narrowing, while migraine pain is due to the expansion of those blood vessels. During a migraine, the tissue surrounding the brain is swollen, causing intense pain. Migraines are caused by a progression of several things: pain sensing cells in your brain stem pick up on this change in your routine and release a chemical; this chemical attacks other pain sensing cells nearby, making them more sensitive to pain. They also release neuropeptides; some of these chemicals begin to work on the muscles surrounding the blood vessels near the surface of your brain. Those muscles relax, making the blood vessels dilate and causing more blood to flow. This is where doctors think the aura in a classic migraine comes from. Some of the neuropeptide chemicals cause the cranial vessels to begin leaking, making the tissue around the area swell. Research now shows that the combination of these factors; increased sensitivity, swelling brain tissues and swelling of blood vessels, is the cause of migraines (Pocock 2). For the people afflicted with this disease, it is essential to comprehend what is anatomically and physiologically occurring during a migraine episode. There are four possible phases to a migraine attack: prodrome, aura, headache, and postdrome. In the initial phase: prodrome, it is often referred to as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For Australia being such a large country with many natural resources, the use of their mining industry has helped improve the economy and helped develop a stronger country. Over the past years, Australia has gone through many changes associated with their economy. Affordable Housing Policy Case Study In the city of San Jose, California, the housing supply has shriveled due to overwhelming influx of new residents and prolonged construction of housing developments. With the lacking supply of homes and more affluent residents moving to San Jose, landlords and developers of for sale properties have been inclined to raise the costs of housing. These times have caused families and individuals into circumstances such as to relocate to more affordable areas outside of San Jose, such as Tracy and Hollister, creating inconveniences with a longer commute or even worse, homelessness. She wants to describe the weaknesses of the checklist type of teacher evaluations that has been used as the norm in the past. Danielson describes a more effective form of teacher evaluation that will be useful for the administrator and also the teacher. Teacher evaluations are very critical in decision making for schools because this is a way for them to credibly show the school board that they have highly effective teachers and at the same time allow those highly effective teachers an opportunity to grow and learn in the situation. Danielson suggests that in the past administrators have been more worried about the decision making process and being able to give evidence that the teachers they have hired are doing an high quality job. Danielson describes two main reasons why we should evaluate teaching including making sure that you have high quality teaching and for professional development. She makes the point that these two reasons are not able to be met by the old method of checklist evaluation. For a teacher evaluation to be effective and useful they need to be able to meet both types of criteria including evaluating high level teaching and professional development. Danielson explains that when thinking about the criteria of evaluating high level teaching that there are important parts of the process that creates a valid evaluation process. ... Machiavelli elaborates on various ways to acquire principalities and provides the reader with a straightforward guide on how to successfully conquer and maintain control over states. Machiavelli analyses the strengths and flaws of certain paths to conquest, how to maintain a hold on power and the importance of strong arms. Machiavelli sees humans as easily persuaded and simple minded. Imitating the work of a past ruler is also important because If his own virtue does not reach that far, at least he will be in the odor of it . Pope Jullius demonstrates this perfectly by continuing through Alexander VI footsteps and finding new ways to make the church great by means of money and arms. Fear is another strength that sustains Ecclesiastical Principalities. Humans believe in God s practices because they fear what would happen if they seized to believe. Moses invokes fear by brutally killing all who lost faith in him. Those who Moses spared remain thankful that they were not harmed while those who were harmed stay weak and too scared to rebel. Machiavelli insinuates that all humans want to be controlled and guided. When not under direct guidance, humans are fearful of their life outside the Ecclesiastical Principality. Fear was also used to maintain dominance by Remirro. He placed a mangled corpse in the middle of town square which left the people astounded. In doing so, people fear the Prince s brutality and therefore, obey him. This is seen in all types of principalities. Overall, Machiavelli s first impression of Ecclesiastical Principalities is that they differ from the others because ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I was one of those kids, and during a T ball game the first signs of an issue that would haunt me for years to come appeared. In the dugout during a t ball game, I was sitting on a bench waiting to go up to bat. A teammate asked me if the player currently up to bat was my brother. I turned to him and said, That is my brodder. He looked confused and responded with He is your budder? No, I countered, He is my broffer. With an even more confused look he asked me again, He is your buffer? Now I was annoyed. I thought I sounded normal, but he was looking at me like I had a third eye. He. is. My. broffer! I said, exaggerating the word slowly and condescendingly. That is where the memory cuts off. I don t remember whether he finally understood what I was trying to say, or if I just gave up in frustration. Although this casual conversation may seem like a one time thing, it was not. The Affordable Care Act, which came to be called Obamacare in the news media, passed through both houses of congress without a single Republican vote in favor and was signed into law by President Obama in March 2010. This was not as simple as thought, many were illegally killed leaving many newborns to starve during the winter. (Brown, 1956). Hunting soon began to be open during certain date ranges during the season to allow more regulation on hunting of the White tailed deer. (Brown, 1956). These deer prefer matured forests with practically no undergrowth (Brown, 1956) which brings them to the same place, around Alfred, New York. Although it may seem that there are more deer, the regulations help, but the deer don t reproduce as many, squirrels reproduce 2 4 per litter twice a year (Frankis). Wildlife, for the most part, is out on its own having to rummage and scour the woodlands or their habitats for food.
