Grand Isle, which is an island near New Orleans. The family vacationed in a home run by Madame
Leburn, who has two sons. In the beginning it is apparent that Edna and Léonce s marriage is very
traditional, in which Edna does all the cooking, cleaning and taking care of their children. Edna doesn
t like that she has to do this and Leonce is frustrated with Edna s performance as a mother and a wife.
Leonce is often absent because of work, so Edna spends her time with a woman named Adèle
Ratignolle. While Edna is hanging out with Adele is when a change in Edna is first obvious because

Social Marketing For Public Health
Interestingly, a key focus in Cheng, Kotler and Lee s Social Marketing for Public Health book remains
not only relevant but significant in current social marketing interventions. The authors discussion of
public health issues found that for such social issues to experience a behavioural change, no single
agency is able to make a dent by itself, (Cheng, Kotler, and Lee, 2011) hence it was recognised that a
global trend in using partnerships at; local, national or international levels is a better way to enforce
individuals to get involved (Cheng, Kotler, and Lee, 2011).
At present, the five year ambition to introduce early intervention services through psychological
therapies remain encouraged by policy makers, in the belief that the more awareness for the project at
a local scale, will help reduce the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental health (Gov.uk,
2015) and encourage more people to speak out and seek the medical support they need. (Gov.uk,
2015). The NHS programme runs through the partnership of Child Adolescent Mental Health Services
(CAMHS) to actively focus on the needs of children and young people by offering assessment and
treatment for those who may suffer from emotional, behavioural, or mental health difficulties.
Prior to the financial increase in psychological therapies, the programme ran a pilot scheme in 2011 to
test out whether the intervention was able to benefit those struggling with stress, anxiety or depression

It s Time To Reduce Food Waste In Sub-Saharan Africa
Introduction
In Sub Saharan Africa 30% of the population are starving, but in many first world countries â…“ of all
food produced is wasted before it can be eaten. If the amount of food waste is not reduced Earth will
be unable to support the estimated population growth. Food waste has become a larger problem in the
United States due to over portioning and the mishandling of food, but this problem can be reduced or
even eliminated through making consumers aware of reducing food waste and properly handling the
food they do waste. Transition
Description of Problem Not only does food waste lead to starvation in other parts of the world, but it
also wastes resources, When we throw away food, we re wasting all the natural resources that go into

While it doesn t have a perfect answer there are simple changes that can be made to reduce food
waste, Cutting down on food waste across the country is a challenge because losses happen at every
stage of the supply chain, experts say. The problem starts on farms with excess crops. It extends to
supersized restaurant portions, grocery stores quick turnover, and Americans tendency to overbuy. To
keep produce from farms from going directly to the trash, there has to be an increased focus on quality
of produce rather than appearance, Another top contributor to food waste in the U.S. is farms, says
Bloom. Agricultural producers regularly leave misshapen vegetables and discolored fruits to rot on the
ground. Why? The food industry has strict standards for produce s shape, size, and color. Harvesting
fruits and vegetables that don t meet those standards can be financially draining for farmers. Pickers
skip over other crops if they suspect the produce will no longer be at peak freshness by the time it
reaches stores. For food that does end up wasted there are ways for people to dispose of it differently.
One way that keeps food out of landfills is composting, Composting is an alternative to disposing of
food in a landfill. Certain elements of foods can be turned into compost to feed and nourish the soil,
helping to cultivate new growth. Park and recreation agencies, like those in Lansing, Michigan, have
utilized composting bins to re purpose the food for their community gardens. This provides the
additional benefit of educating youth about the process of how food is grown. Finally consumer have
to take it upon themselves to only buy what they will eat and to use all leftovers instead of tossing
them into the

The Pros And Cons Of The CIA
The CIA, otherwise known as the Central Intelligence Agency, is a federal agency that is independent
and has the responsibilities of providing the country of the United States with national security
intelligence. The CIA is in charge of gathering information that is going on from other countries in
order to help our own national security to become stronger, and to be able to protect the citizens of the
United States better. However, what happens when the CIA tries to protect it s citizens by screwing
over other countries? What happens when the CIA is responsible for destroying other countries
governments or placing leaders where we do not belong as a country to try and control politics that we
should not even be involving ourselves in. While the CIA is meant to have good intentions for
providing our country with national security, a lot of times the United States is responsible for
meddling in affairs we never belonged in which cause harm, devastation, or death to the countries we
force ourselves upon. In early 1951, the nationalization of Iran s oil industry by Mosaddegh was the
trigger for the United Kingdom to begin discussion with the United States to overthrow Mosaddegh
and return the power to the shah. When the coup attempt was thwarted, the CIA decided to call off
continuing with the operation because they did not want it to get traced back to the United States.
However, Kermit Roosevelt believed that the United States should not be done interfering with Iran,

Television As The Useful Tool For Children
TV as the Useful Tool for Children
In the modern household, TV is one of the most common electronic devices to have. There are
countless entertaining TV programs for children on many different channels everyday. Watching TV is
the easiest way to entertain children at home. With just one push on the remote controler, it is not
complicated for even young children to turn on the TV and find their favorite shows without parent s
help. TV shows for children are made for making children to stay on the channel or to watch the same
show again, so it likely leads children to be addicted to TV. In fact, many families try to get rid of the
TV or lessen the TV time for children to avoid the addiction. Although TV can affect children
negatively, there are also many quality programs for children. TV can provide educational contents,
fun family time, and relaxation time for children and family. If parents use TV wisely, TV will benefit
children and their family. A lot of TV programs are educational for children and parents. When people
from old to young adults talk about their favorite educational show on TV, most of them will mention
Sesame Street. It has been on TV since 1969, teaching children language, numbers, music, social
skills, and cultures. Parents have no doubt about showing Sesame Street to their children because
parents know that the show is educational and safe for young children. The Magic School Bus series is

Looking at the chart the first dimension of culture plotted is individualism collectivism. This
dimension addresses how people define themselves and their relationships with others. Cultures that
fall on the individualism side of the continuum share four characteristics. First, such cultures consider
the individual to be the most important entity in any social setting. Second, individualistic cultures
stress independence rather than dependence. Third, individualistic cultures reward individual
achievement. The last characteristic is; individualistic cultures value each individual s uniqueness.
The United States according to the chart ranks as an extreme individualism culture. In the story, Mark

british punk Essay
Punk
This is Peter Inskip coming to you live from triple j, with this week s segment in our Music and
Society series. For the next half hour we ll be looking at the punk music scene starting in the mid
seventies.
Punk was born in the early 70 s in New York, and is still evolving.
No other style in the history of rock, has been so uncompromising, or made such a dramatic
impression as Punk Rock. The two versions of punk, the original American and its British descendent,
were very different.
British punk was aggressive and angry. It demanded immediate change and had no interest in working
for the solution. The Sex Pistols typified British Punk with such songs as quot;Anarchy In The UK,

This generation of British youth who embraced punk left school to enter a climate of harsh
unemployment and limited options. Britain in 1975 had one of its highest unemployment rates since
World War II and this bleak scenario offered few alternatives. Punk for the British teenager was an
outlet for their feelings of inadequacy as many young people struggled with the demoralising effects
of welfare and unemployment.
British society is traditionally quite conservative and is reflected in the institution of the monarchy
itself, perhaps one of the best recognised hallmarks of a social system that is very stratified, and
emphasises distinct class differences. Symbols of conservative middle class order and organisation
quickly became targets for the angst of disenfranchised British youth.
Punk Rock bands such as the Sex Pistols attracted a huge following and their choice of subject matter
in songs like quot;God Save The Queen quot; or quot;Anarchy in the UK quot; complimented the

Evaluation of Social Learning Theory
Evaluation of Social learning theory In this essay, I will try to evaluate Social learning theory as
originated by Albert Bandura. I am going to use three pieces of evidence, in a form of case studies,
which have been done previously to support or contradict Bandura s theory. I will demonstrate my
knowledge of these studies throughout their analysis, trying to highlight their strengths and
limitations. Albert Bandura, a 20th century American pszchologist, proposed a very important and
probably the most influential theory of development and learning. He believed that: Most human
behaviour is learned observationally through modelling: from observing others, one forms an idea of
how new behaviours are performed, and on later occasions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Another point, perhaps the weakest of the study, is methodological shortcomings. Inflated Bobo doll,
is primarily designed to be hit down and bounce back up, so basically its purpose is being hit,
therefore when the children hit the doll, it didn t necessarily mean that they were imitating their role
models. This contradictory argument is supported by Kniverton and Stephenson found in 1970. On the
other hand, bearing all these limitations in mind, we can deduce that the role model did indeed have a
genuine effect on the child s observed reaction and imitation because all variables other than the
independent variable were well and tightly controlled. This finding is really useful, not purely because
it supports the theory of learning through observation, but mainly it demonstrates usefulness of
explaining real world situations, such as the influence of TV and actors on children (this is also
applicable to further development of social cognitive theory). Probably the biggest strength of this
theory is its high face validity. The idea that children would imitate other s behaviour is highly
probable, because we see it every day. But although there are some really strong supporting
arguments, that children actually imitate the behaviour, it

The Multi-Store Model
Multi store model and the working memory theories show how the brain receives and transfers
information. A neurons are nerve cell that are building blocks for the nervous system. Which
specialized in transmitting information in the form of a stimulus throughout the body and brain in a
chemical or electrical form that the brain can handle and then store the information in the brain

Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin were the first two to reveal how the human memory works in
1982, and they design the multi store model. According to them both information is stream through
the memory system then separated into a set of stages for the information to be stored. The three
stages of process for the memory are sensory memory, short term memory and long term memory.
Each stage of the process, there are limitations in the terms of capacity, duration and encoding.

If God Was A Banker
This chapter explores the narrative built around multinational banking culture in two novels, If God
was a Banker (2007) written by Ravi Subramaniam, and Puppet on the Fast Track (2011) by Ilika
Ranjan. The two novels revolve around a major phase of socio economic transition in India that began
in the 1980s and continued throughout the 1990s. This period ushered in the concept of open door
policy, liberalization, privatization, and globalization, all of which became buzz words in the Indian
economy. As multinational companies and banks entered India, the banking scenario was leaping
forward, beyond the nationalized structure, towards experimentation with the multinational banking
concept. The two authors, Ravi Subramaniam, and Ilika ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

If God was a Banker
Ravi Subramaniam s If God was a Banker is the story of Swami and Sandeep. They are graduates of
premier management institutes of India and go on to become top honchos of a leading MNC bank in
India, the New York International. They are both academically brilliant despite hailing from different
economic backgrounds. In the story, Swami represents all that is righteous, portrayed as a humble,
simple, and unassuming character, who struggled his way up from a life shrouded by dire economic
crises. On the other hand, Sandeep is portrayed as an arrogant, competitive and flamboyant young
man, whose father is an army officer, and his mother a doctor, and accordingly, with a cushioned
upbringing. In his career, Sandeep s over ambition takes him to crack dubious deals. He runs on the
crutches of nefarious doings and negative networks. Furthermore, in his personal life he cheats on his

Adolescenes Fitting In or Standing Out
Is adolescence really about fitting in or not standing out? Do you have any responsibility to those
students who don t fit in? A major part of adolescence is whether you fit it or not. This major part
decides the majority of your friends and your understandings/feelings. It s not always a bad thing to
not fit in. You don t really have a responsibility to those who do not fit in. Sometimes, they choose not
to fit in. By all means, try to include them. Try not to make them feel like they don t belong, but this
doesn t always work. In the article Childhood Bullying Can Leave Lifelong Scars an assistant clinical
professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, William Copeland, at Duke
University in Durham, N.C. stated, If we could set up a culture in schools where this isn t allowed to
happen, then, I think there are a lot of these problems we can avoid (Reinberg, 1). He s right the
problems would be avoided, but it s impossible to completely eliminate the bullying that makes
someone feel like an outsider. Sometimes, bullying doesn t have to be presented for someone to feel
like this. At times, it s the music they enjoy or the style that they like that causes the constant
antagonization. Just being different could cause this feeling of not belonging. Often times, people don
t like something different so they will attack it. This attack could be physical, but most times is
emotional. There s always going to be that difference that someone may not

A Foreign Direct Investment is basically an ownership in a business in a country by a totally different
country. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a very important role in the development of a nation.
All countries need FDI s but in the case of underdeveloped or developing nations FDI is one of the
most important aspect, as this kind of investment is required to help sustain the growth of the
economy. This inturn helps improving the balance of payments and also helps in generating
employment in the country. FDI also helps to improve productivity and use the available resourecs to

Part B Integrated Summary- Surgical Safety
PART B INTEGRATED SUMMARY SURGICAL SAFETY
The World Health Organisation (WHO) implemented the surgical safety checklist, to minimise the
discrepancies that occur as a result of improper identification of the patient (appendix O post 3).
Improper identification leads to wrong procedure, hence complication and possibly death (Position
Statement Surgical Safety 2015). The WHO checklist helps to improve surgical safety through
confirming safety practices are upheld and developing better communication within the
multidisciplinary team (Position Statement Surgical Safety 2015), thus providing optimum patient
care (ACORN Competency standard 5). Surgery related complication and mortality was reduce by
33%, through a study of eight hospitals from 2007 to 2008 (Position Statement Surgical Safety 2015).
Therefore proving that compliance with safety measure were increased as a result of endorsing the
SSC, and obliges to competency standard 3.3. Through briefing and debriefing, standard of care is
improved, as the whole multidisciplinary team is made aware of the procedure, and allows for optimal
performance, which decrease surgery time, thus improve surgical safety (ACORN Competency
Standard 9). Furthermore it is important that each hospital adapt their own policy in regards to the
type of facility, such as in the occurrence of near miss episode (appendix 1,), institutions must refine
their policy to provide the best care for the patients (Position Statement Surgical Safety 2015).

Advertising and Behavior Control Essay
In the article Advertising and Behavior Control there were many arguments for and against
advertising. The first and the biggest problem Robert L. Arrington has against advertising is puffery.
The reason/reasons why Arrington has a problem with puffery is due to the fact that the seller makes
exaggerated, or suggestive claims about a product. His overall argument on puffery is that it isn t just
bragging but it is bragging that is designed to persuade you to want the item or product being sold.
The bragging goes so far as they convince the viewer (of the advertisement) they need the product.
Puffery ultimately leads to manipulation, exploitation, and control over what people think of the
product. Although Arrington has reasons ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

advertising is indeed good or bad as he says on page 289 I do not pretend to have the answer. I only
hope that the above discussion, in showing some of the kinds of harm that can be done by advertising
and by indicating the likely limits of this harm, will put us in a better position to grapple with the
question. In my own opinion I don t think that advertising should be controlled anymore than it is
now. My reason for thinking this way is because products are made to be sold and along with that

matter what, always having faith that the word of the Lord is truth. Sometimes this can be hard, but we

Fame And Glory Short Story
Home and Family vs. Fame and Glory
The Iliad and The Odyssey by Homer are the two major heroic epics of ancient Greece, and the oldest
surviving European poems. The poems were originally part of the oral tradition, then written down
between 750 and 650 B.C.E., and finally fixed in the 500 s B.C.E. The Iliad tells the story of the ten
year long Trojan War fought against the city of Troy by the Achaeans. The Odyssey focuses on king
Odysseus, who fought in the war, and his journey from Troy to his island home Ithaca, which takes
him ten years. The poem touches on the themes of family, hospitality, temptation, fame, and the power
of cunning. Odysseus possesses strength, courage, and confidence, but what he is most known for is
his cleverness. Although Odysseus wants to return home to his wife Penelope, his son Telemachus,
and his kingdom, his journey back is fairly long because of how easy he is captivated by adventure. As
it is, in The Odyssey, Odysseus goes through an inner conflict between his priorities of home and
family and his strong desire for fame and glory.
Odysseus conveys a profound and sincere love for his island home. When Odysseus recites his
journey to the Lord Alcinous, he describes his home as glorious, saying that no sight is sweeter to
[him] than Ithaca (385). Moreover, even though beautiful goddesses such as Calypso and Circe have
kept him in their homes, they could not persuade [him] or touch [his] heart (386). He expresses an
intense desire to meet

This is a detective novel where the main detective and protagonist is a female. The first well known
female detective was Amelia Butterworth. She was created by Anna Katharine Green in 1897. She was
in the book The Affair Next Door. The book, Look For Me, follows all of these subgenres because the
lead detective, Sergeant Detective D.D. Warren is a female detective. Also, the book does follow
police procedural because the detective is in the police force and uses some tactics a police officer
would use when solving a murder case. This novel is a thriller because the reader wants to continue

detective is all about. She does not let anyone get in her way when she is solving crimes. She really
only likes to work with her three co workers that deal with homicides, also. Detective Warren does not
shy away from a case, no matter how gruesome, or how horrible it was. She always is trying to find
out what happened. She represents females, and how females are capable of solving crimes, while also
being very independent while doing so. Sergeant Detective D.D. Warren keeps the story exciting. The
reader is always on their toes when reading this novel. Detective Warren is very involved, and easy to
follow. As well as, she is a one of a kind

Barthelme s Not-Knowing
In his short story, Not Knowing , Donald Barthelme brings the audience into the typical planning and
step by step thought process he has when beginning to write a story. He highlights different writing
styles and how they can convey the point one would be trying to make. Barthelme also allows us to
see his personal method for writing stories, addressing the necessity that is not knowing as well as
how not having a traditional plot structure ahead of writing is what calls for good, artistic pieces of
literature to be produced. He displays that his characters do not typically come with preplanned life
stories beforehand, but rather life stories that come into being at the instant it s inscribed. Another
useful piece of advice is making sure that the lifestyles one does construct for their characters lean
towards being more realistic and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In one particular excerpt, ...Hilda and Heidi have had a baby, with which they re thoroughly
displeased, it s got no credit cards and can t speak French, they ll send it back... this could be seen as a
metaphor for readers high expectations with an author and the expectation to provide gratification
early on in their story; however, Barthelme is determined to not give instant gratification to his
audience prematurely as he believes it does not make for a good piece of literature. Another excerpt in
which he references the importance of not focusing on meaningless details is when he brings up
Rauschenburg s goat and how if one spends their time fixating on finer details instead of the message
of a story as a whole, the work collapses more or less behind their back , when it would have been
better off being left for interpretation. Barthelme himself does not wish to be a deconstructionalist, as

The Between Liberty And The State
Within the study of legal philosophy, few scholars have been able to understand the dangers arising
from the complex relationship between liberty and the state to the same extent as Lord Acton. Though
mainly unpublished prior to his death, Acton s writings provoke thought surrounding power struggles
and conflicting interests in societies. It has become clearer over time that inequality, whether
institutionalised or not, ultimately provides the foundation of modern societies. In order to counteract
this and facilitate stability amongst nations, particularly in the prevention of anarchy, many support
the view that there is an inherent need to restrict the complete exercise of free will, be it powers
possessed by a public authority, or at an individual level. The principle of self determination in the
context of the state sovereignty , that being the right of a nation to conduct itself in the absence of
external influence, has assisted in alleviating some of the burdens placed upon the human race. The
state routinely exercises sovereignty over its inhabitants and distinct territory to establish control, and
in an ideal world should render a society free from oppression from both by the state, and amongst
individuals. Though the struggle to obtain liberty had underpinned the existence of modern nations,
disagreement as to its nature and scope has created a variety of distinct perspectives regarding the
limits which ought to be placed on our personal freedoms. To wholly

Village Of Forest Park, Illinois
Introduction
When discussing microeconomics, there are several market structures that may have an impact the
economy in the Village of Forest Park, Illinois. These market structures including perfect competition,
monopolistic competition, oligopoly, and monopoly have many characteristics and have an impact on
the market as a whole. There are many barriers to entry, competitive pressure and price elasticity that
also impact the economic growth of the village. Other areas that affect the village s economy include
governmental roles and international trade.
Two Characteristics of the Four Market Structures
The major market structures that impact our current economy are perfect competition, monopolistic
competition, oligopoly, and monopoly. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A monopolistic competition describes a common market structure in which firms have many
competitors or sellers, but each one sells a vaguely distinctive product or service. One of this market
structure s characteristics is that each individual firm makes independent decisions about price and
output, based on its product, its market, and its costs of production (Economics Online, 2015).
Another characteristic is there is freedom to enter or leave the market, since there are no major
barriers to entry or exit. The opposite of this market structure is an oligopoly. Oligopoly means few
sellers. Oligopoly is the market structure in which there are only a few firms or a few firms dominate
the market (Amacher Pate, 2013). In an oligopolistic market, each seller supplies a large portion of all
the products sold in the marketplace. In addition, because the cost of starting a business in an
oligopolistic industry is usually high, the number of firms entering it is low.
Local Market Example
In the Village of Forest Park, the local electric company, ComEd, has a monopoly over the energy
market. While the village residents are able to chose what type of energy they use, whether its coal or
wind, each of the energy providers sell their energy to ComEd who then sets the price for its
consumers. There are no other energy companies or providers in the city, each person must use

The Cons of Animal Testing Essay
At this moment, millions of animals know cold cages in laboratories as home, but why? Some of these
animals are subjects for medical research purposes, while others are used out of pure curiosity and to
test different products. Majority of these animals are used in painful experiments and are left in agony.
While many of them die, a few animals survive, but these unfortunate ones wish they could be put out
of their misery as well. Although scientists have resources they could use to lower the pain each
animal endures and even alternatives of their test subjects, millions of innocent creatures are still
suffering. The fact that animals are still used when animal experimentation is avoidable and not
necessary makes animal testing unethical. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That is why people encourage scientists to analyze their entire experiment before they go through with
it. Scientists should also be able to justify the use of a number of animals in a specific experiment.
Researchers need to be able to prove animals were absolutely needed for the experiment because
many scientists have become uncertain about the reliability of the results fashioned by tests performed
on animals. Results produced by an animal do not accurately determine how a human will react due to
differences between their bodily processes, structure, and digestion. Although there are similarities
between humans and animals, there are also many differences. Animals and humans with the same
health problem may not have the same symptoms. How can an experiment on a rat to test a cancer
drug show how a human with cancer will respond to the same treatment when people themselves react
differently to identical cancer treatments? In fact the American Anti Vivisection Society (2013)
projects nine out of ten drugs that help animals in experiments are unsuccessful when tested on
humans (Scientific Limitations of Using Animals section, para 1). It is dangerous to apply these drugs
to humans. Not only is money wasted on experiments that fall short of a cure, but people waiting to be
healed are dying when that money could be used on more promising tests. The National Anti
Vivisection Society (2012) declares scientists have made it a routine to

What Is The Theme Of Larkin And Abse
Both Larkin and Abse have composed verse which includes certain degrees of misery, be that as it
may, it s reasonable that they have distinctive perspectives on what causes the feeling. Charles Hall
said that it was ideal in Larkin s perspective, for everybody to leave themselves to their fates and
acknowledge the intractable void of their lives. Larkin appears to have the viewpoint that misery is for
the most part and crucial part of the human condition. Though Abse is for the most part hopeful, as a
rule his misery in his verse is subjective, brought about by uncommon minutes in the family, or
attention to mortality.
Larkin for the most part trusts that despondency lies in the desires of life and reality. One of his most
regular convictions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A good example of this is in his poem, A scene from married life. Generally the title suggests an
unremarkable and common place event, reluctant to give any information of the overall content of the
poem. Much like Larkin, Abse comments of the routine of his day, saying that nothing was happening
until it happened, the uneventful day therefore acts as a surprise for the argument that follows.
However, Abse writes about routine as a comfort, something he can rely on. It seems that he prefers
the routine over the uneventful occurrences. Although, Abse also has similar views to Larkin when he
mentions stuffy office block he seems to resent the idea of work and describes the commuters as
trapped , almost as though they are imprisoned by their job and the routine which prevents the
freedom of occasional spontaneous events. He uses the transferred epithet of brooding the represent
his own unhappiness as he thinks about the argument and the dank confusion of the grey clouds
indicative of his troubled marriage. He describes a marriage between the sea and the sky as a resentful
wedlock , possibly signifying the dominant verses the submissive in their relationship much like the
metaphor in the previous stanza where the early worm eats the dead bird. Abse s method of
rearranging a well known saying allows the reader to take that Abse, who considered himself the
dominant one of the pair, was in fact subjugated by his wife during this argument, embarrassing him.
Abse, in this poem, uses the method of self mockery in order to create an almost amusing scene of an
actually very serious moment. He describes his moment of despair similar to a B movie, which was a
poor quality movie known for its clichéd scenes and bad acting. He pictures his great climatic scene,
of him killing himself in a very

The topic is relevant to the lecture because we discussed brain activity in living and dead things, and
what autism stems from. The writer asks the question of what causes autism, eventually stating that
having a greater cognitive flexibility correlates with acquiring better reading skills as a child, which

Analysis Of Mrs Warrens Profession
The play Mrs. Warrens Profession by George Bernard Shaw is about a well educated young woman
named Vivie who lives just outside of London. She was raised in a drastically different manner than
her mother. Vivie in fact did not know her mother very well and even grew up away at prestigious
schools away from her mother s care. Vivie was well educated, has a degree in math, and plans to get
a job in London. The play is centered on the discussion between Vivie and Mrs. Warren about the
morality about Mrs. Warren s profession as a sex worker. Although the play is called Mrs. Warrens
profession, the play is mostly about the ways that Vivie s interactions with her mother change her. The
play opens with Vivie sitting on her porch and being informed that her mother is coming from London
to visit her. Vivie s upbringing was different from her mother in such a drastic way and it calls into
question the morality of the decisions that Mrs. Warren made in her earlier years. Mrs. Warren had to
make a decision in her earlier years that was morally wrong for most but she made it because her
morals were outweighed by the circumstances in which she was in. Shaw was known to be interested
in socialism and would write his works to reflect the views he wished to push into society. The play
Mrs. Warrens Profession has many tones of morality involved in the text. The discussions and
decisions of the characters in the play are all about the morality based on each individual s

The Pros And Cons Of Video Games
The current world and generation is almost dependent on technology, especially the younger

They have changed society and will likely keep changing it for a long time. Though they are usually
associated with a positive connotation, there are people who think differently. Since it s inception,
media has also been associated with manipulating the impressionable minds of children, particularly
violent media. In the past, it s been violent literature. Nowadays, it s been violent video games and

Movies are also among the most pirated forms of media which makes it even easier for minors to view
such material. A notable instance of violent media being scapegoated as a reason of violent behavior is
the Columbine High School Massacre of 1999 in which Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, students at
Columbine, gunned down 12 students and a teacher, while also injuring a teacher. The pair were
eventually found to be avid players of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Duke Nukem, violent video games.
They were also fans of the 1994 movie Natural Born Killers, which is about two mass murders. The
parents of the Columbine victims also sued the publishers of the video games that Klebold and Harris
played, blaming the video games for the shooting. But what the parents and many other people
overlooked is that the two boys were victims of bullying and depression. So it s unfair and unwise to
put the blame solely on video games and movies are reasoning behind the shooting. Violent media
such as movies and video games have a mental effect on young children and minors, but their daily
lives dictate whether or not they make them violent in nature. The reason video games and movies on
their own don t dictate whether or not they make children violent could be found in Albert Bandura s
Social Learning Theory which basically says that people, not just children, learn from the action of
others such as friends, family, and peers. An experiment was performed in 1961, in

Medicine has Flourished Since the Introduction of the...
Since the introduction of the magnetic resonance imaging unit, diagnostic medicine has flourished.
The ability to see different pathologies in a detailed soft tissue image has helped guide doctors in
providing patients with better treatment and therefore a better prognosis. In many cases, magnetic
resonance imaging is the golden standard in diagnostic studies. This is especially true when studying
blood vessels. The majority of doctors turn to a magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) method
called bright blood imaging when they are concerned with any blood flowing vessels. A few main
areas of concern include vessels in the brain, neck, thoracic, abdominal aorta, renals, and vessels in the
legs called a run off . When doctors order an MRA using bright blood imaging they want to rule out
serious pathologies such as aneurysms, aorta dissection, or stenosis. Bright blood imaging uses a
strong magnetic field and specific pulse sequences. Below we will discuss three different techniques
and their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Time of flight(TOF) also called inflow
angiography, is a non invasive procedure that produces flow contrast. The more RF excitation pulses
used in an image plane the more saturated the spins become so we want to limit the amount of RF
pulses to the flowing spins by setting up thin slabs perpendicular to the vessels or blood flow. New
blood is always flowing in and out of the slice, and because the spins only receive a few RF pulses,

important part of many cultures. For societies where female genital cutting is practiced, women find
themselves pressured to comply with these norms as it gives them a sense of acceptance into a society

In the modern world people rely on organizations and systems for prosperity, insurance, etc. In most
of African societies like the Hofriyat, kinship still plays a major role in being social security, health
care and so on relying on the relationship with relatives and friends. Marriage became perceived as an
important factor since it forms the basic source of personal identity and economic advantages (Boddy
2007, p.61). Collective interest between individuals is pursued through marriages arranged by the
parents while subordinating the sexuality of young women and men to comply with the interest of the
social group according to the elders (Boddy 2007, 62). In Hofriyat society, sexual absence is a matter
of family honors. Failure to comply with this norm can lead to the family losing honor and the risk of
jeopardizing the chances of getting married, which will affect its economic statues, political leverage
and continuity of family line (Boddy 2007, 62). Looking at this aspect it is not surprising that honor is
mostly assigned in relations to young women. Men are also restricted to some behaviors, however
women lives are more cautiously patrolled (Boddy 2007, 62). This does not mean that women are
powerless, as an act of force is too considerate shameful, subordinates must desire to act properly.

Reflection Paper On Nutrition
Nutrition can be part of a major role of improving your overall body composition and health. I decided
to write about the topic nutrition because, we were assigned to track our eating habits on Super
Tracker for seven days. They set up for you, the recommended portion size, based on your height, age
and weight. Super Tracker taught me a valuable lesson about keeping portion sizes in mind, and
checking labels because just because the label says it has fiber or something, it doesn t necessary mean
it does; it can have more added sugars than fibers. Now, I know how much calories I should take in
everyday and what I need to improve on because I had lot of nutrients, mineral and vitamins that was
under the recommend amount that I needed. With this Super Tracker website, it made me realize that I
need to eat healthier, because I am at risk of having lots of health problems in the future, if I continue
to eat the way I do. Looking at my report really made me realize that maybe because I was so
low/over on mostly everything, that therefore it is the cause of my daily headaches and why I feel
weak and dizzy mostly every day of the week. The report indicated that I was over on saturated fats,
under my calorie intake, low on dairy and fruit intake and many more. As I was doing my research,
eating more fruits will improve my sources of nutrients, including potassium, fiber, vitamin A, vitamin
C and folate. The nutrients in fruit are vital for health and maintenance for my body. The potassium in
fruit can reduce my risk of heart disease and stroke. Also, according to my dietary report, I am over
with my saturated fats, as I stated above. Eating too much total fat (especially saturated fat and trans
fat), cholesterol, or sodium may increase my risk of certain chronic diseases, such as heart disease,
some cancers, or high blood pressure. Therefore, because of how badly my report came out, it was an
eye opener. I want to find ways on how to improve my nutrition and maintain it and what the better
outcomes are for maintaining good nutrition. In order to improve my nutrition, I will need to change
my diet by taking small steps every day. My dietary nutrition report stated that I am over my added
sugars, so to decrease my

A Rhetorical Analysis Of Hillary Clinton

Presidential election to leave the country. Obama stated No Matter who that loser is .
The nation has been evenly divided between Donald Trump, who is calling for dictatorial control of
the country with massive tax breaks to the top 1%, and Hillary Clinton, who is calling for tax breaks

The battle cry for Trump is the slogan Hillary is going to raise taxes and I m going to cut taxes . In
order to try and control the media, Trump says anyone one who challenges the media s control is
sexist, racist, xenophobic and morally deformed. He must mean the indisputable king of propaganda,
Fox News. The main policy Donald Trump is offering, is to do everyone a favor by getting rid of gays,
trannies, blacks, Latinos, Mexicans and all other minorities. He will also use his dictatorship to get rid
of any military generals that pose a threat to Russia. He is also calling for law and order by

  • 3. Social Marketing For Public Health Interestingly, a key focus in Cheng, Kotler and Lee s Social Marketing for Public Health book remains not only relevant but significant in current social marketing interventions. The authors discussion of public health issues found that for such social issues to experience a behavioural change, no single agency is able to make a dent by itself, (Cheng, Kotler, and Lee, 2011) hence it was recognised that a global trend in using partnerships at; local, national or international levels is a better way to enforce individuals to get involved (Cheng, Kotler, and Lee, 2011). At present, the five year ambition to introduce early intervention services through psychological therapies remain encouraged by policy makers, in the belief that the more awareness for the project at a local scale, will help reduce the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental health (Gov.uk, 2015) and encourage more people to speak out and seek the medical support they need. (Gov.uk, 2015). The NHS programme runs through the partnership of Child Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to actively focus on the needs of children and young people by offering assessment and treatment for those who may suffer from emotional, behavioural, or mental health difficulties. Prior to the financial increase in psychological therapies, the programme ran a pilot scheme in 2011 to test out whether the intervention was able to benefit those struggling with stress, anxiety or depression ... • 4. It s Time To Reduce Food Waste In Sub-Saharan Africa Introduction In Sub Saharan Africa 30% of the population are starving, but in many first world countries â…“ of all food produced is wasted before it can be eaten. If the amount of food waste is not reduced Earth will be unable to support the estimated population growth. Food waste has become a larger problem in the United States due to over portioning and the mishandling of food, but this problem can be reduced or even eliminated through making consumers aware of reducing food waste and properly handling the food they do waste. Transition Description of Problem Not only does food waste lead to starvation in other parts of the world, but it also wastes resources, When we throw away food, we re wasting all the natural resources that go into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While it doesn t have a perfect answer there are simple changes that can be made to reduce food waste, Cutting down on food waste across the country is a challenge because losses happen at every stage of the supply chain, experts say. The problem starts on farms with excess crops. It extends to supersized restaurant portions, grocery stores quick turnover, and Americans tendency to overbuy. To keep produce from farms from going directly to the trash, there has to be an increased focus on quality of produce rather than appearance, Another top contributor to food waste in the U.S. is farms, says Bloom. Agricultural producers regularly leave misshapen vegetables and discolored fruits to rot on the ground. Why? The food industry has strict standards for produce s shape, size, and color. Harvesting fruits and vegetables that don t meet those standards can be financially draining for farmers. Pickers skip over other crops if they suspect the produce will no longer be at peak freshness by the time it reaches stores. For food that does end up wasted there are ways for people to dispose of it differently. One way that keeps food out of landfills is composting, Composting is an alternative to disposing of food in a landfill. Certain elements of foods can be turned into compost to feed and nourish the soil, helping to cultivate new growth. Park and recreation agencies, like those in Lansing, Michigan, have utilized composting bins to re purpose the food for their community gardens. This provides the additional benefit of educating youth about the process of how food is grown. Finally consumer have to take it upon themselves to only buy what they will eat and to use all leftovers instead of tossing them into the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Pros And Cons Of The CIA The CIA, otherwise known as the Central Intelligence Agency, is a federal agency that is independent and has the responsibilities of providing the country of the United States with national security intelligence. The CIA is in charge of gathering information that is going on from other countries in order to help our own national security to become stronger, and to be able to protect the citizens of the United States better. However, what happens when the CIA tries to protect it s citizens by screwing over other countries? What happens when the CIA is responsible for destroying other countries governments or placing leaders where we do not belong as a country to try and control politics that we should not even be involving ourselves in. While the CIA is meant to have good intentions for providing our country with national security, a lot of times the United States is responsible for meddling in affairs we never belonged in which cause harm, devastation, or death to the countries we force ourselves upon. In early 1951, the nationalization of Iran s oil industry by Mosaddegh was the trigger for the United Kingdom to begin discussion with the United States to overthrow Mosaddegh and return the power to the shah. When the coup attempt was thwarted, the CIA decided to call off continuing with the operation because they did not want it to get traced back to the United States. However, Kermit Roosevelt believed that the United States should not be done interfering with Iran, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

British society is traditionally quite conservative and is reflected in the institution of the monarchy itself, perhaps one of the best recognised hallmarks of a social system that is very stratified, and emphasises distinct class differences. • 11. Evaluation of Social Learning Theory Evaluation of Social learning theory In this essay, I will try to evaluate Social learning theory as originated by Albert Bandura. I am going to use three pieces of evidence, in a form of case studies, which have been done previously to support or contradict Bandura s theory. I will demonstrate my knowledge of these studies throughout their analysis, trying to highlight their strengths and limitations. Albert Bandura, a 20th century American pszchologist, proposed a very important and probably the most influential theory of development and learning. He believed that: Most human behaviour is learned observationally through modelling: from observing others, one forms an idea of how new behaviours are performed, and on later occasions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another point, perhaps the weakest of the study, is methodological shortcomings. Inflated Bobo doll, is primarily designed to be hit down and bounce back up, so basically its purpose is being hit, therefore when the children hit the doll, it didn t necessarily mean that they were imitating their role models. This contradictory argument is supported by Kniverton and Stephenson found in 1970. On the other hand, bearing all these limitations in mind, we can deduce that the role model did indeed have a genuine effect on the child s observed reaction and imitation because all variables other than the independent variable were well and tightly controlled. This finding is really useful, not purely because it supports the theory of learning through observation, but mainly it demonstrates usefulness of explaining real world situations, such as the influence of TV and actors on children (this is also applicable to further development of social cognitive theory). Probably the biggest strength of this theory is its high face validity. The idea that children would imitate other s behaviour is highly probable, because we see it every day. But although there are some really strong supporting arguments, that children actually imitate the behaviour, it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His overall argument on puffery is that it isn t just bragging but it is bragging that is designed to persuade you to want the item or product being sold. The poems were originally part of the oral tradition, then written down between 750 and 650 B.C.E., and finally fixed in the 500 s B.C.E. The Iliad tells the story of the ten year long Trojan War fought against the city of Troy by the Achaeans. The Odyssey focuses on king Odysseus, who fought in the war, and his journey from Troy to his island home Ithaca, which takes him ten years. The poem touches on the themes of family, hospitality, temptation, fame, and the power of cunning. Odysseus possesses strength, courage, and confidence, but what he is most known for is his cleverness. Although Odysseus wants to return home to his wife Penelope, his son Telemachus, and his kingdom, his journey back is fairly long because of how easy he is captivated by adventure. The Between Liberty And The State Within the study of legal philosophy, few scholars have been able to understand the dangers arising from the complex relationship between liberty and the state to the same extent as Lord Acton. Though mainly unpublished prior to his death, Acton s writings provoke thought surrounding power struggles and conflicting interests in societies. It has become clearer over time that inequality, whether institutionalised or not, ultimately provides the foundation of modern societies. In order to counteract this and facilitate stability amongst nations, particularly in the prevention of anarchy, many support the view that there is an inherent need to restrict the complete exercise of free will, be it powers possessed by a public authority, or at an individual level. The principle of self determination in the context of the state sovereignty , that being the right of a nation to conduct itself in the absence of external influence, has assisted in alleviating some of the burdens placed upon the human race. The state routinely exercises sovereignty over its inhabitants and distinct territory to establish control, and in an ideal world should render a society free from oppression from both by the state, and amongst individuals. Though the struggle to obtain liberty had underpinned the existence of modern nations, disagreement as to its nature and scope has created a variety of distinct perspectives regarding the limits which ought to be placed on our personal freedoms. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A monopolistic competition describes a common market structure in which firms have many competitors or sellers, but each one sells a vaguely distinctive product or service. One of this market structure s characteristics is that each individual firm makes independent decisions about price and output, based on its product, its market, and its costs of production (Economics Online, 2015). Another characteristic is there is freedom to enter or leave the market, since there are no major barriers to entry or exit. The opposite of this market structure is an oligopoly. Oligopoly means few sellers. Oligopoly is the market structure in which there are only a few firms or a few firms dominate the market (Amacher Pate, 2013). In an oligopolistic market, each seller supplies a large portion of all the products sold in the marketplace. In addition, because the cost of starting a business in an oligopolistic industry is usually high, the number of firms entering it is low. However, Abse writes about routine as a comfort, something he can rely on. It seems that he prefers the routine over the uneventful occurrences. Although, Abse also has similar views to Larkin when he mentions stuffy office block he seems to resent the idea of work and describes the commuters as trapped , almost as though they are imprisoned by their job and the routine which prevents the freedom of occasional spontaneous events. Although the play is called Mrs. Warrens profession, the play is mostly about the ways that Vivie s interactions with her mother change her. The play opens with Vivie sitting on her porch and being informed that her mother is coming from London to visit her. Vivie s upbringing was different from her mother in such a drastic way and it calls into question the morality of the decisions that Mrs. Warren made in her earlier years. Mrs. Warren had to make a decision in her earlier years that was morally wrong for most but she made it because her morals were outweighed by the circumstances in which she was in. Shaw was known to be interested in socialism and would write his works to reflect the views he wished to push into society. The play Mrs. Warrens Profession has many tones of morality involved in the text. The discussions and decisions of the characters in the play are all about the morality based on each individual s ... • 32. Hart And Lovis Case Study Archaic groups also exploited several seed and fruit bearing annual plants in northeastern North America (Smith 1992; Hart and Lovis 2013; Munoz et al. 2014). These plants were generally seed bearing annuals including squash (Cucurbita pepo), goosefoot (Chenopodium berlandieri), marsh elder (Iva annua), and sunflower (Helianthus annuus) (Conard et al., 1984; Jackson 1980; Johnston 1984; Smith 1984, 1987, 2006, 2011; Ellis et al. 1990; Crites 1993; Smith and Cowan 2003; Smith and Yarnell 2009; Hart and Lovis 2013). Maize did not become a focal resource until after A.D. 500, with local human populations remaining at least seasonally mobile. As maize became more productive and the cost of maintaining crops diminished relative to other food sources, human populations would have increased attention and management efforts ultimately resulting in a dramatic change to the landscape and settlement patterns. There has been a traditional correlation between the advent of maize based agriculture and the transition to settled village life in the northeast of North America (Ritchie 1969; Snow 1995a,b). Consumption of maize gradually increased until ca. • 33. The Pros And Cons Of Video Games The current world and generation is almost dependent on technology, especially the younger generation. With new technology brings new forms of entertainment, particularly video games and movies. Even though we don t think about it, video games and movies are relatively new inventions. They have changed society and will likely keep changing it for a long time. Though they are usually associated with a positive connotation, there are people who think differently. Since it s inception, media has also been associated with manipulating the impressionable minds of children, particularly violent media. In the past, it s been violent literature. Movies are also among the most pirated forms of media which makes it even easier for minors to view such material. A notable instance of violent media being scapegoated as a reason of violent behavior is the Columbine High School Massacre of 1999 in which Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, students at Columbine, gunned down 12 students and a teacher, while also injuring a teacher. The pair were eventually found to be avid players of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Duke Nukem, violent video games. They were also fans of the 1994 movie Natural Born Killers, which is about two mass murders. The parents of the Columbine victims also sued the publishers of the video games that Klebold and Harris played, blaming the video games for the shooting. But what the parents and many other people overlooked is that the two boys were victims of bullying and depression. So it s unfair and unwise to put the blame solely on video games and movies are reasoning behind the shooting. Violent media such as movies and video games have a mental effect on young children and minors, but their daily lives dictate whether or not they make them violent in nature. The reason video games and movies on their own don t dictate whether or not they make children violent could be found in Albert Bandura s Social Learning Theory which basically says that people, not just children, learn from the action of others such as friends, family, and peers. An experiment was performed in 1961, in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Medicine has Flourished Since the Introduction of the... Since the introduction of the magnetic resonance imaging unit, diagnostic medicine has flourished. The ability to see different pathologies in a detailed soft tissue image has helped guide doctors in providing patients with better treatment and therefore a better prognosis. In many cases, magnetic resonance imaging is the golden standard in diagnostic studies. This is especially true when studying blood vessels. The majority of doctors turn to a magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) method called bright blood imaging when they are concerned with any blood flowing vessels. A few main areas of concern include vessels in the brain, neck, thoracic, abdominal aorta, renals, and vessels in the legs called a run off . When doctors order an MRA using bright blood imaging they want to rule out serious pathologies such as aneurysms, aorta dissection, or stenosis. Bright blood imaging uses a strong magnetic field and specific pulse sequences. Below we will discuss three different techniques and their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Time of flight(TOF) also called inflow angiography, is a non invasive procedure that produces flow contrast. The more RF excitation pulses used in an image plane the more saturated the spins become so we want to limit the amount of RF pulses to the flowing spins by setting up thin slabs perpendicular to the vessels or blood flow. New blood is always flowing in and out of the slice, and because the spins only receive a few RF pulses, signal is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 36. Female Genital Cutting Controversy Female genital cutting (FGC) has always been a topic of controversy. In the Western world this practice is seen as a cruel and inhumane act that takes away women right and the ability to make their own choices. However, what is seen as deviant practice in the West, it is in fact a distinct and important part of many cultures. For societies where female genital cutting is practiced, women find themselves pressured to comply with these norms as it gives them a sense of acceptance into a society as well as becoming marriageable. In Western society, even thou most people are against ritualized female genital cutting, it does not appear to be abnormal to practice surrounding female genital cosmetic surgery (FGCS), which is also in fact a form of ... In the modern world people rely on organizations and systems for prosperity, insurance, etc. In most of African societies like the Hofriyat, kinship still plays a major role in being social security, health care and so on relying on the relationship with relatives and friends. Marriage became perceived as an important factor since it forms the basic source of personal identity and economic advantages (Boddy 2007, p.61). Collective interest between individuals is pursued through marriages arranged by the parents while subordinating the sexuality of young women and men to comply with the interest of the social group according to the elders (Boddy 2007, 62). In Hofriyat society, sexual absence is a matter of family honors. Failure to comply with this norm can lead to the family losing honor and the risk of jeopardizing the chances of getting married, which will affect its economic statues, political leverage and continuity of family line (Boddy 2007, 62). Looking at this aspect it is not surprising that honor is mostly assigned in relations to young women. Men are also restricted to some behaviors, however women lives are more cautiously patrolled (Boddy 2007, 62). This does not mean that women are powerless, as an act of force is too considerate shameful, subordinates must desire to act properly. Women misbehavior is an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Reflection Paper On Nutrition Nutrition can be part of a major role of improving your overall body composition and health. I decided to write about the topic nutrition because, we were assigned to track our eating habits on Super Tracker for seven days. They set up for you, the recommended portion size, based on your height, age and weight. Super Tracker taught me a valuable lesson about keeping portion sizes in mind, and checking labels because just because the label says it has fiber or something, it doesn t necessary mean it does; it can have more added sugars than fibers. Now, I know how much calories I should take in everyday and what I need to improve on because I had lot of nutrients, mineral and vitamins that was under the recommend amount that I needed. With this Super Tracker website, it made me realize that I need to eat healthier, because I am at risk of having lots of health problems in the future, if I continue to eat the way I do. Looking at my report really made me realize that maybe because I was so low/over on mostly everything, that therefore it is the cause of my daily headaches and why I feel weak and dizzy mostly every day of the week. The report indicated that I was over on saturated fats, under my calorie intake, low on dairy and fruit intake and many more. As I was doing my research, eating more fruits will improve my sources of nutrients, including potassium, fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C and folate. The nutrients in fruit are vital for health and maintenance for my body. The potassium in fruit can reduce my risk of heart disease and stroke. Also, according to my dietary report, I am over with my saturated fats, as I stated above. Eating too much total fat (especially saturated fat and trans fat), cholesterol, or sodium may increase my risk of certain chronic diseases, such as heart disease, some cancers, or high blood pressure. Therefore, because of how badly my report came out, it was an eye opener. I want to find ways on how to improve my nutrition and maintain it and what the better outcomes are for maintaining good nutrition. In order to improve my nutrition, I will need to change my diet by taking small steps every day. My dietary nutrition report stated that I am over my added sugars, so to decrease my ... Obama stated No Matter who that loser is . The nation has been evenly divided between Donald Trump, who is calling for dictatorial control of the country with massive tax breaks to the top 1%, and Hillary Clinton, who is calling for tax breaks for the middle class. The battle cry for Trump is the slogan Hillary is going to raise taxes and I m going to cut taxes . In order to try and control the media, Trump says anyone one who challenges the media s control is sexist, racist, xenophobic and morally deformed. He must mean the indisputable king of propaganda, Fox News. The main policy Donald Trump is offering, is to do everyone a favor by getting rid of gays, trannies, blacks, Latinos, Mexicans and all other minorities.
