Showered With Imperfection
Most people thought of her of a woman who will murder anyone on sight. To them, it was
dangerous for her to even look at you. But they don t know anything about her.
On the northern island, Mokusei, was a ship. Or simply a submarine. A yellow one.
Like with her other guests, she tend to obliterate their fragile life sources, but this thing, she spared
them. A odd thing. A foreign feeling to her. She had always murdered others that invade the island
.
It wasn t because she didn t feel like it. That would disgrace her. The only reason why she didn t
destroyed them, or even attack them was because they were peaceful.
It was a law in the Raters.
Never attack, until you are 100% sure that they are worth killing. She was merciless, but an
honorable woman who never disobeyed the laws, or her superiors, even if they were annoying or
angered her. Although unleashing wrath could assist with winning, staying calm was key.
There they were, a suspicious, snowy white polar bear that she has never seen in her life, two man
in an orange suit, and the one in the front who seemed like the leader, which he was.
Trafalgar Law, better known as Surgeon of Death. He had his infamous, calm smile stamped on
his face. With perfectly tanned skin that never seems to lighten or darken, and what seems like
black bags under his eyes, as if he stayed up, studying. He had a white hat with brown dots sitting,
completely relaxed

How Is Loss Used In Mid Term Break
How is Loss Experienced in the poems Mid Term Break and November? In both the poems
November, by Simon Armitage and Mid Term Break, by Seamus Heaney, the persona is
compelled into that position. They both describe loss as a traumatic experience, which the persona
tries to detach themselves from in order to accept the reality. In November, the persona is burdened
with guilt and self blame. Realising that the situation is inevitable illuminates his fears of ageing
and death. Mid Term Break is an autobiographical poem where the persona (Seamus Heany)
maintains a very formal and distant tone in order to push aside his overwhelming grief. In both
poems, the persona tries to distance themselves from the situation to try and make the experience...

Heaney places the powerful monostich at the end, which intensifies the sombre mood into a
powerful shock to the audience. Comparing a four foot box with a foot for every year doesn t
only tell the audience how brief his brother s life was, but also highlights Heaney s realisation of
this harsh, inescapable horror. By rhyming the phrase bumper knocked him clear with his age on
the monostich links the fragility of the child to the powerful effect on the audience and family. This
reminds the persona and the audience that the impact isn t only on the child, but also on the

T. D. Jakes Quote
Don t allow your past or present condition to control you. It s just a process that you re going
through to get you to the next level. T.D. Jakes
This quote sound comparable to something one of my close acquaintances would say because they
don t like to dwell on the past and they don t care about what s going on right now; they only care
about what happens in their future. We all know the famous children s cartoon animator, Walt
Disney (most famous for creating Mickey Mouse). One of his movies had a really good quote
kind of relating to this one, Around here... we don t look backwards for very long. We keep
moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things (Meet the Robinsons) I thought of
this quote because (I love this movie)

Examples Of Parenthood In The Destructors
The lack of parenthood in The Destructors is the primary reason the boys in the gang have the
dark streak that is seen in their endeavors. The effects of war and the class change contribute, but
both ultimately tie back in to the root of the problem the parents. Most boys grow up with a
curiosity, a knack for getting into trouble, and a longing to mess with what they shouldn t; these
attributes are definitely present in the boys in the gang. Children should be raised by parents that
teach them right from wrong so this curiosity, while it may still be present, is contained to a limit
that is acceptable. The problem is that these boys didn t grow up with this type of parenting
because they experienced little to no parenting at all. Their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

is unique in this way because his darkness is deeper than the others, as seen in his fixation with
Mr. Thomas s house. One known fact about T. that is different from the others, is that his family
came down after the war. Specifically, his father went from being an architect to a clerk. This
change in occupation is one reason why T. is so fixated on the house. He is bitter about the war,
his father s demotion, and the class change. He sees that this house survived a war he did not
and wants to tear it down as his family had been. This is seen as T. is giving orders after he
assumes leadership in the destruction of the house. It says that it was as though this plan had
been with him all his life...crystallized with the pain of puberty. (70) The quote fortifies how he
wants justice for what he has been through and that he never got to grow up as a child. He was
forced to grow up quicker than he should have because of the war and his class change. The word
pain brings out a sharpness to what he felt and went through. It provides the reader with a
connection to T. that wouldn t be there

Entertainment in the 1800s
People are so willing to be amused, so eager to see something new and out of the ordinary Harry

acts, they would watch a performer show his or her talent, and from the talent shows came great
acts. People from all around the world would pay to see Houdini, and the legend Buffalo Bill Cody,
they truly impacted the show business and wanted to let the world see something new, and they
completely changed the entertainment industry in doing so.

Cody was born in Iowa, in 1846. He was 14 when he rode the pony express and later went on to
fight in the civil war. The nickname Buffalo Bill Cody was given to him because of the amount
of buffalo he killed on his own. Cody killed over 4,000 in one year and was very known for this.
Biography.com, A E Networks Television, 28 Apr. 2017. Buffalo Bill Cody had always had a
passion for acting and staging plays, he would often put on small wild west shows, using horses
and real Indians as actors. Buffalo Bills Wild West started to get big, they were making new
shows all the time, just preforming stories they had from war or making westerns as television
would call it. Women and Indians were able to act in these but they were not paid as highly as
the other men. The show moved daily so all the crew members and actors would sometimes have
to set up tents or sleep in railroad cars. Everyone was fed three meals a day. With more than 500
staff and cast members, the expenses were very high. Sometimes it could get up to 4,000 a day,
back then that was a lot of money. Buffalo Bill Cody s show was very popular and they
performed all over the united states. Everyone loved their classic shows. As the years went on, the
show started to lose its audience. Movies started being produced like crazy, people lost interest in
old western times and they wanted to see more up to date things like movies about current events or
sports. America was

Sociology Of Probation
In 2005 men received probation at a rate of seventy seven percent and women were allowed
probation at the rate of twenty three percent (Kaeble Bonczar). Among these groups fifty five
percent of those given probation were white Americans, thirty percent were black Americans,
thirteen percent were Hispanic and one percent were American Indian and Asian. During this
period in 2005 seventy two percent of the people who were granted probation was on active
supervision while nine percent were on inactive supervision and one percent served residential or
home confinement (Kaeble Bonczar). Fifty percent of those awarded probation in 2005 were felony

White Americans were given paroles at an average of forty one to forty four percent while
blacks received forty percent but fell to thirty eight percent in two thousand fifteen, and
Hispanics were awarded paroles at eighteen percent for all three years. During the years of two
thousand five, fourteen and fifteen eighty three percent of all parolees were actively supervised
and five percent were not supervised( Kaeble Bonczar). However, during these years inmates were
not required to serve their maximum sentence and some only serve a year or more before receiving
parole and others served less than a year before being paroled. Another interesting change noted
during these years was the drop in violent felony crimes to twenty six percent and property crimes
dropped, but slightly rose again in two thousand fifteen to twenty six percent (Kaeble Bonczar).
Probation and Parole statistics for the state of Tennessee in 2017 showed that forty three thousand
and seven men were released on probation(TDOC). The Black men released on probation totaled
fifteen thousand six hundred forty two, white males totaled twenty five thousand six hundred and
forty seven, Asian males were two hundred and thirty eight and American Indians totaled fifty

Struggle of Infertility for Couples Couples dealing with infertility have many issues they may need
support with. Some of the biggest problems they may have can be physical, but it is important to
remember the psychological, emotional, and financial problems as well. Infertility is usually a
problem that requires assistance from other individuals and the many resources available in the
community. A couple may struggle for a long time if they try to go through infertility alone. An
extra burden on the relationship can be lightened if the couple seeks help from those around them,
including family, friends, and professionals. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(These side effects have not been documented in men.) Other infertility medications may cause
depression, mania, irritability, and thinking problems. Patients and clinicians may find it hard
to figure out which reactions are psychological and which are caused by medications yet
identifying causes is essential for determining next steps. (The psychological impact of
infertility and its treatment, 2009, 05). Knowledge about the side effects can help reduce
anxiety and stress on the couple if they are experienced. More complex infertility may require
resources such as a sperm or egg bank for something like in vitro fertilization. This is a process
where a sperm and egg are fertilized in a culture dish, and then implanted into a uterus. Many
couples have success with this process, but it is an expensive procedure. One reason a couple
may need help with in vitro is financially because of the expense. Insurance companies usually do
not pay for in vitro, and it can cost over $10,000. Only 15 states mandate insurance coverage for
infertility treatment, and the extent of coverage varies. Costs of infertility treatments are
significant. The average cost for an IVF cycle using fresh embryos, for example, is $8,158, with an
additional $3,000 to $5,000 per cycle for fertility drugs. For patients who do not have insurance

Country Music Vs Rap Music Analysis
Music is filled with emotion throughout the genres. Country, rap, pop, jazz, classical, indie,
alternative, and rock are all individual types of music. Different artists display diverse emotions
through their music. Country and rap are two totally opposite types of music. Country is mellow
and romantic, while rap is fast paced and sometimes very inappropriate. As a child, many want to
listen to upbeat, cheerful music. As a teen or young adult, we listen to multiple genres, exploring
our interests. The difference between my music that I listened to in in my younger years compared
to now is not distinctive. When I was younger I listened to many different types of music. My sister

Essay on Mono Basin Volcanism
Mono Basin Volcanism
The last basin in the Basin and Range before the Sierra Nevada Mountain range is the Mono
Basin. The Mono Basin consists of landforms such as the Mono Inyo Craters, Black Point, Negit
Island, Paoha Island, Mono Lake, Devils Punch Bowl, Panum Crater, and some others (Hamburger
et al; 2004). All of these landforms were created by volcanism. Actually, the Mono Basin is in one
of the most volcanically active places in the world (Forest Service; 2004). Paoha Island, Negit
Island, and Panum Crater are the most recent volcanoes to erupt, which are the furthest north in the
basin. The volcanoes ages tend to get older the further south they are from Panum Crater; with the

The explosions ejected pyroclastic and ground material that created craters. The explosion also
created a pyroclastic flow that traveled six kilometers. After these explosions there were smaller
phreatic explosions that created the Inyo Craters(USGS;2004).
There are three large craters and two of them are lake filled now. The two craters with lakes are
the North and South Craters; which are over one hundred eighty four meters deep. The other crater,
which is at the summit of Deer Mountain is about forty six meters deep. There are nine smaller
craters and five volcanic domes included in the Inyo Crater chain (Molossia;2004). (Picture above

After the explosions that formed the Inyo Craters, eruptions started beneath South Deadman Flow.
At the South Deadman vent, there were two events where ash and pumice fragments were
expelled. Along Deadman Creek there is a pyroclastic flow deposit of about ten meters thick; this
was formed by the explosion after the Inyo episode. Before long there was some volcanic activity at
the Obsidian vent and Glass Creek vent. When the magma reached the surface at the Obsidian vent
there was an explosive eruption that expelled ash and pumice fragments shot high into the
atmosphere. After the ash and pumice stopped spewing from the vent, high silica rhyolite seeped
out onto the ground. The gas in the magma

Iago Essay
Iago, More than Just a Villain
Iago, the evil villain of Shakespeare s Othello, is more than just a villain. In many ways he is the
most intelligent and appealing character in the play. Iago shows superiority over the rest of the
characters in the play. He has the ability to manipulate the characters in the play, therefore
controlling the play with every sequence of events. His intelligence shines through his ability to
deceive, his ability to strategize, and his ability to twist the truth. Iago is appealing to the characters
of the pay because he gives them what they want. Iago is appealing to the reader as well. His
character is totally unconflicted about being evil, making him known to some authors as the villain

i. 68 74). The significance is that Roderigo makes him upset by telling him of Othello and
Desdemona. Iago s deceiving plot makes Rodrigo as if he is an honest nobody who wants to help
Rodrigo and his lost daughter. Rodrigo calls to Brabantio s window and pours out his emotions
on this subject. ... Your fair daughter... / Transported with no worse nor better gaured / But with a
knave of common hire, a grandolier / To the gross clasps of a lascivious Moor (!. I. 121 25). The
significance of these quotes is that Iago creates this blue print in which he uses his strategical
intelligence to manipulate Rodrigo into manipulating Brabantio into believing that the Moor is
lascivious, which will infuriate Brabantio. This is a very complex scheme that was provoked by
Iago. He makes both Rodrigo and Brabantio adversaries of Othello. This plan wasn t for the
benefit of Rodrigo or Brabantio, but by using them as pawns, he gets closer to destroying Othello
without getting involved in the conflict, which shows a good example of his intelligence.
Iago has a keen ability to be able to twist the truth. He is able to work around what is real by his
excellent word usage and persuasiveness. Iago uses words to create puns that can easily make
someone, Othello, jealous. In the third act Othello, Iago, and Emilia are having a conversation on
Iago and Emilia s relationship, which notifies Othello of the problems to come. Emilia exits the

Genu Valgum Case Study
Genu Valgum, commonly referred to as Knock Knees, can be described as the inside of a person s
knees touching. In scientific terminology, the knee is misaligned with its mechanical axis (Prodyut,
D n.d; Hatch, 2017) Children s General Practitioner Dr Chris Teh in an interview (Teh, 2017)
described the condition as two growth plates, the inner one of which pushes more than the outer
one causing the kneeto slant in, whilst the outer plate tries to play catch up . It is classified as a
normal part of growth in young children and is quite common until the age of roughly four years
old. Concerns are raised after the age of six if a child begins developing the symptoms, or
alternatively has not outgrown them. If this is the case, doctors often describe the condition as a
growth deformity (The University of Sydney, 2016; Genu Valgum 2012).... Show more content on

Salaries in Major League Baseball
Every year, it becomes more obvious that many sports in America have problems. For years,
Hockey has been criticized for its excessive violence. The National Football League has also been
scrutinized for this reason as well as the fact that many of the top players have constantly been in
trouble with the law. Major League Baseball is no different. The situation with baseball is more
complicated, and is not only ruining the game itself, but also drawing millions of fans away from

What Are The Similarities Between The Bank Of England Vs....
The Bank of England vs. the Altes Museum
European countries often used elements of the Greek architecture in their buildings. They became a
common part of official objects. The Bank of England (Great Britain) and the Altes Museum
(Germany) are good examples of this borrowing.
These buildings appeared in different countries and periods of time, but still have some similarities.
Both structures belong to the neoclassicism. The list of similarities includes pale frontispiece,
columns in front of the entrance, inner arches and an overall impression of a Greek building.
Rooms in both buildings have high ceilings, natural lighting and Greek style decorations. While
Bank and Museum have general similarities both are big old buildings with light colored outer
walls and elements of the Greek architecture in the exterior and interior, they have significant
differences.
THE BANK OF ENGLAND
The Bank of England was first built on the Threadneedle Street in 1734 by George Sampson. The
structure was rebuilt several times after that. This essay will focus on the period of time when the
Bank was overseen by Sir John Soane (1788 1833). The architect used elements of traditional Greek

Story Of An Hour Analysis
In her short story The Story of an Hour, Kate Chopin s brilliant use of words immediately captures
the reader s attention. There is no introduction of characters and no build up to this story. In the
opening sentence, Chopin introduces the readers to Louise Mallard and informs them of her heart
condition. Little do the readers know, this will be a huge factor at the end of the story. The readers
also learn that Louise s husband has died in a railroad accident. With the knowledge of these two
events, Chopin takes the readeron a journey with the widowed Louise Mallard in the last hour of
her life with all the conflicting emotions that go along with it.
Richards and Josephine think they must break the news of Brently s death to Louise as gently as
possible. Josephine tells her in broken sentences; veiled hints that revealed in half concealing.
However, Louise does not hear this news with the same emotions as most women would at the
loss of a loved one. Initially, She wept at once, with sudden, wild abandonment, in her sister s
arms. When the storm of grief had spent itself she went away to her room alone. This is the
normal and expected reaction. Suddenly, the mood of the story changes as Louise looks out an
open window and observes the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring life. The
delicious breath of rain was in the air . Even Louise seemed to be confused as to what was
happening. Now her bosom rose and fell tumultuously. She was beginning to

Intrinsic And Extrinsic Motivations For Focus On The Learner
Focus on the Learner Page 1
Introduction:
Nowadays, it is well known that learning a second language is as important as studying in the high
school or the elementary school. English is one of the most important languages that we need to
know and understand, because almost all the jobs require it..
Student Background: My studentВґs name is Juan Pablo Cabuto. Juan is 11 years old, he lives with
his mother, father and sister, who is 5 years old. Juan is in 6th grade. His frist language is Spanish,
his mother knows English but she does not speak to him in English. He started to study English a
year ago, but then his schedule changed and he could not continue studying, that is why he knows
only a few things in English.
Motivation for Learning: What motivates Juan to continue studying English involves both intrinsic
and extrinsic motivations. First, his extrinsic motivation involves his getting into the secondary
school which his parents want him to go to, he needs English to attend. Juan shows his intrinsic
motivation by wanting to improve his English and thus be able to communicate with other people
around the world. He wants to understand the lyrics of the songs and finally he is interested in
computers and most of this information is in English.
Learning style: Janu is a visual and musical learner, he likes to observe first, and see how the
activity is going, visuals, movies, stories, he works better alone that in teams, because

Is Horace s Anger In The Culture Of The Roman Empire Under...
In the documents, The Third Satire and The Odes, the bitter Juvenal and frustrated Horace openly
display their opinion about the Roman Empire under the emperors Augustus and Domitian.
Acting out on his stern anger for the temples and shrines in desperate need of repairs, Horace
instinctively accuses the guiltless to pay for [their] fathers sins (Horace.1). Horace becomes
agitated to an extreme extent because of the absence of respect for the gods within their temples

Horace believes that marriage should happen only once in a man or woman s life, and they should
stay loyal to each other no matter what the circumstances. During this time period, the Roman
citizens practiced sexual immorality as a normal part of life and showed great greed in their actions.
Horace exhibits his irritated and angry attitude when talking about this subject because he values
marriage vows and sexual morality more than sinful nature. He strives to change the nature of the
people back to the way Augustus wants it because he values the patronage Augustus has given him.
As the downfall of the Roman Empire continues, Juvenal describes the citizens with blackmail in

The floating of the Forint had caused the Hungarian GDP to drop to 6.3% and unemployment
reached 10% in 2009.
A shift to the Right
After election of June 2009 and a change in government, the Hungarian policy think tank which
represented 21% of Hungarians sympathised with the radical right s values and ideologies. The
right wing government had launched attacks on perceived enemies both inside and outside of
Hungary through tightening immigration laws, using anti minority to build political support.
Crisis Taxes
After the government agreed to meet EU deficit goals, Fidesz generated revenue through the
referred crisis taxes on banking sector, telecom, retail, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors, which
were planned for 3 years. Three months after the crisis taxes were passed, 15 multinational and local
firms had started to campaign against those taxes and threatened to cancel future investments in the
country.

Monetary Policy and Central Bank Independence
During the economic crisis and subsequent recovery, Hungary s central bank gradually cut its target
nominal interest rate from 11.5% in 2008 to 5.25% in 2010. After the economic conditions
improved, the government introduced its new expenditures, whereby the central bank responded by
increasing its prime rate 3 times over the next 9 months in 2010. However, the government

Stereotypes In The Lion King
Films serve as a means of communication and are composed of millions of different elements that
form a narrative. Also, they use original techniques to deliver messages in ways that the creator
wants them to deliver. Usually, children s films contain a variety of implicit messages, because the
language should be simple, and in turn, it should contain fun elements. However, one of the best
ways to create stereotypes in cultureis the use of children s movies, because people build their
personality and critical thinking in their first years of life. An example of this is the movie The
Lion King, where the characters are animals, but also each one plays a role of a human being
within a society. This filmshows a patriarchal and sexist society, where men have all the power not
only in government but also within their own family; women, by contrast, have a secondary role
always being focused on the service of men and their children. It also has an implicit... Show more

The lionesses are excellent hunting, but although they are stronger than lions, they are stripped
of the ability to govern. Nala, the little lioness that is shown as a stronger female with a firm
character who wins all fights against Simba, is the perfect example of why the lioness is
essential to the survivor of the pride. Moreover, from the beginning of the film, the wife of
Mufasa, Sarabi is forgotten. She is only mentioned a few times in order to demonstrate that their
role is to serve, as Mufasa expressed when he said to her, At dawn, he is your son . Even when
Simba is thought to be dead, his mother is not presented to show concern or sadness, which
would be the natural reaction of a mother. In addition, Sarabi is a lioness but she does not shine.

Basketball Vs Football Vs Basketball
Track Field vs Football, Baseball Basketball Sports are one of the most popular extracurricular
activities among high school students and even adults that choose to professionalize their sport.
Each sport has its share of disadvantages that all help in contributing to one particular sport truly
being the best to take part in. Track and field is easily the best sport for anyone to choose to
participate in. Track and field is a sport in which various competitive athletic events take place that
establish the skills of running, sprinting, jumping and throwing on a running track and an
adjacent field. Track and Field favors a wide range of body types, has a lightweight uniform and
is the safest in contrast to football, baseball and basketball, which makes it the most idealistic of
the sports. Track and field is a sport most well known for its teamwork. The sport s teamwork is
emphasized and strengthened through its diversity. Track is abundant in diversity due to the fact
that there is a variety of events to participate in as opposed to playing the same game as everybody
else like in football, baseball and basketball. For example, the object of football is to get the ballto
the other end; the object of baseball is to run around a diamond before someones throws a ball
home. Lastly, the main concept of basketball, much like football, is to dribble the ball to the other
end of the court. Track and field is also much safer than football, baseball and track. There is little

Ballad Of Birmingham Analysis
On the surface level Dudley Randall s Ballad of Birmingham, is of a tragic event that has
misfortunately happened. A bombing on a church that has led to the loss of life. Looking at it s
history however, Randall forefronts all the emotions from the speaker with chilling diction and a
rhythmic pattern of rhyming the second and fourth line of each stanza. It brings to life a darker
truth, one that has yet to end. The poem begins first with a conversation between a mother and her
daughter Mother dear, may I go downtown instead of out to play, and march the streets of
Birminghamin a Freedom March today? This conversation occurred in 1963 Birmingham, Alabama
at the height of the Civil Rights era with Martin Luther King Jr. leading marchers advocating for
equality in one of the most racist places. The daughter asks her mother for permission to be a
part of the movement but the mother denies her as she fears for her safety No, baby, no, you
may not go, for the dogs are fierce and wild, and clubs and hoses, guns and jails aren t good for a
little child. The mother is aware that black people are not treated fairly in society but is also
aware of how those that try to retaliate against it are beaten near death or are seriously injured by
dogs or pressurized hoses. She does not want her daughter to be hurt or killed. Despite so, the
daughter tries to convince her mother to let her go, But mother, I won t be alone. Other children

Justification/recommendation
Change in management is sometimes necessary in some organizations. It could be based on an
organization not performing up to standards or moving mangers around to provide a fresh look on
a company and come up with different ideas that can benefit that particular location. When
changing over, a bad plan of action can negatively affect an organization.
Due to the difficulties that arise when there is a change in management, there needs to be a
effective way for managers to adapt to their new work place. Success starts from the top and
trickles down. Employees look to their managers to guide them in the right direction.

Jane English s Argumentative Analysis
More often than not, the past paced lifestyle that American culture has adopted
leaves behind a variety of structures once deemed important. Among these now
neglected values, society has decidedly left their predecessors in their shadows. Our
parents and grandparents, in spite of everything they have done for us, are often viewed
as less important when compared to the busy, overstimulating lifestyles of the modern
world. With this decision, however comes a slight debate. On one side, moral
philosophers, namely Jane English, provide logically sound arguments which contends
that even though there are things they should do for their parents, children also do not
owe their parents anything. By way of her article, What do Grown ... Show more content on

Despite having personally worked in nursing homes for more
than four years, seeing first hand the devastation that ensued time and time again, I
believe the question at present should more specifically inquire as to who this task
should fall onto, not how. In considering Jane English s argument, I can honestly say
that as a young adult, who has not yet fully matured, I certainly understand the desire to
decline the responsibilities that are likely to arise in my life. However, if English s
argument is correct than who exactly is morally obligated to take care of anyone s
parents? Surely a child is more so than any random stranger is at least.
Ultimately, I do admittedly have qualms with committing to the word obligation,
but that is not to say morals in general aren t, or shouldn t be, called into question. In a
perfect world I am sure the relationship between parent and child is always one of
mutual duty built upon a foundation of love produced voluntary sacrifices. Tragically
enough though, we live in a society which lacks both perfection and the promise

Lethal Injections and the Involvement of Medical Personnel
Death penalty, or capital punishment, is the execution of a person as a punishment for a crime.
Throughout history, the death penalty has been a prominent part of society. In ancient
Mesopotamia, the death penalty was seen as retribution for certain crimes, and to this day, is now a
common practice in the United States. Before, when the United States were still colonies, the death
penalty had been carried out by hanging and other various methods but today in the modern age, the
Unites States method of execution in most states is lethal injection (Issitt). Unlike previous
methods, such as electrocution and the firing squad, the lethal injection is virtually painlessly due
to certain drugs being injected into the patient that put the patient to sleep during the process. Due
to its medical nature, medical personnel, such as anesthesiologists are needed to administer the
drugs, but is it ethical for them to participate in the execution of people?
Throughout the process of a lethal injection, there are many drugs inserted into the prisoner. Before
the drugs are administered, the prisoner is first brought into a room, that looks very much like a
hospital room, with all the medical equipment inside. Within the room, there is a cardiac monitor,
and other medical items. The inmate is then strapped to trolley, much like the one below: And

Book Thief Themes
In times of war everything gets destroyed, from countries to lives to culture. Nothing is off limits
when someone is willing to go to the extreme to get what they want, no matter who they step on
on the way. In Markus Zusak s The Book Thief, readers see the effects of war on the small,
fictional town of Molching, Germany during World War
II, specifically on that of young Liesel
Meminger and her foster parents Hans and Rosa Hubermann. Through the eyes of Death one can
relate the themes of war and the censorship of an overrun country with those of extremist groups
today who, years later, utilize some of the same methods of control in order to gain power.
In late June of 1975, Elisabeth and Helmut Zusak welcomed Markus, their fourth (and last) child
into the world. At the time, they had been living in Sydney, Australia, however, both had
emigrated from other countries. Both Lisa s native country of Germany and Helmut s native
country of Austria were a part of World War II at the time of their living there, which led them to
acquire stories that would later on inspire their son to write what is arguably his most lucrative
novel, The Book Thief. I grew up in Sydney, but when my... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Essay about Race and Ethnicity in Social Sciences
Use of the Terms Race and Ethnicity in the Social Sciences
Defining identity can be complex and therefore we have to investigate the factors involved that
make us who we are and how we are seen by others, collectively or individually. Social scientists
have to consider the key elements which shape identity, the importance of social structures and
agency involved. The differences and/or similarities between us are the focus that categorise and
label us in society. Knowing who we are is important for many reasons including, social rights,
obtaining a passport, housing, health, employment, marriage, and over all, being able to ascertain
who we are, and belong.

These subgroup identities highlight the relational factors which exist in categorising identity, each
requiring the other in order to make the comparison between ethnic differences, power and status.
Racialization and Ethnicization are preferred concepts as they contribute more to the idea that the
identities we adopt are part of a process and are not static, referring to a dynamic process rather
than a fixed state.
Categorisations from the 1970 s onwards, such as the definition of black or white , were too vague,
and failed to recognise the specific needs of other ethnic minorities. In order to monitor and measure
statistically the discrimination and underachievement of such groups, collecting ethnic statistics in
relation to race and ethnicity was necessary and these can be found in official government censuses.
Over the years it became apparent that categorisation of ethnic groups in the censuses rendered
some groups invisible (Questioning Identity, ch 4, p 137, section 4.1.1), for example Irish and
Welsh. The category of white has had to be expanded into subcategories as the white grouping
classification remained singular within the censuses until 2001, and ethnicization of whites was too
generalised. ( Questioning Identity: Kath Woodward ch.4 p138 Office of Population Censuses and
Surveys, 1991) These amendments show us that there have been changes in ethnic representation
and that there is more awareness regarding ethnic identities and

Lab Report on Density Measurement
INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background of the Experiment Mass density describes how heavy an object
is. Defined by the Greek letter ПЃ,read as rho, density is a basic yet important physical property of
matter. For a bulk body without accounting its existing pores and voids, density is represented by
the ratio of its mass and volume. It is given by the equation ПЃ= massvolume 1. The SI unit of
density is kg/m3. However, its CGS units, g/cm3 or g/ mL, are the most commonly used ones in
the laboratory. The conversion is given by 1 gcm3=1gmL=1000 kgm3 [1]. The density of a
homogeneous liquid is also defined by the amount of mass per unit volume. Liquid is usually
confined in a container, so its volume is relative to the volume of its container [2].... Show more

Buchan Point Beach Think of Cairns and you immediately picture beaches and sunshine. What
better to add to the mix than nudity? In Cairns, the unofficial nude beach is Buchan Point Beach
or colloquially, Buchan s, just north of Buchan Point, and at the point where a driver first
glimpses a breath taking vista of beaches stretching all the way north to Port Douglas. In the 60
s, as today, there were people who wanted a clothes optional area with privacy and seclusion.
Buchan s was, and is, perfect for that remit. With easy parking and a short walk to the beach, gay
and straights alike can shed their clothes and enjoy the full benefits of the sun and sea on bare skin.

There have been several noticeable exceptions. Declarations of public outrage have occasionally
inspired somewhat ludicrous raids. On one occasion, a mother and daughter were taken to the
Cairns city police station, charged and then obliged to make their own way back to the beach
and their vehicles 40 minutes drive from the police station. The last reported raid was in 2001
when the cancellation of CHOGM at Surfer s Paradise caused a surfeit of police who needed
something to do. The nudist beach seemed an easy target so off they went. (Remember The
Keystone Cops?) The magistrate who presided over the trials appropriately trivial fines. The
mayor and tourist operators were unhappy with the police action and the Cairns Post featured a
NZ honeymoon couple who were among those rounded up and fined! These occasional raids
almost always resulted in a critical media response. At one time in the 70 s the beach was so
popular that ice cream and soft drink sellers visited the beach. No mention was made if they were

Boxing The Compass
There are two major possible explanations that can trigger a sea level to rise. First, global warming
that cause melting ice in the mountain, such as mountain polar ice and glaciers ice layers, which
causing water is release into the oceans. Second, as ocean temperatures rise, the warmer
temperature expands and the sea level to goes up. In certain parts of the earth, particularly in low
lying stream areas, local land is sinking, in result of sea levels increase to higher ground. It is
worthy of mention that this theme is actually not new and probably one of the most interesting
book dedicated to this problem is the novel by Sandy Florian. Boxing The Compass by Sandy

her audience is how time is keep moving forward and nature is getting old along with the time.
In her book boxing the compass Sandy Florian express her deep thought and bringing her
audience to participate in the space and time as the women taking a bath and having a meditation
of her past. Sinking down into her tub, the woman dreams down and out into trackless, timeless
ocean waters (75). Sublimely, the author is precisely to remind in depth of what happen in the
past, the she connect it to the water issue and global warming. For the waters of the world are
rising. Come here, come now and forever, or until you disappear (81). The connection come here,

unavoidable problem that human species will face. As far as we know everything that exists in the

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics illustrated children with gay parents and children
with heterosexual parents show no differences in gender identity or gender role behaviors. A
research carried out by Cambridge University consisted of finding differences and similarities
between same sex couples and heterosexual of adoptive families. Researchers discovered The
differences that did emerge relate to levels of depressive symptoms in parents, which are
especially low for gay fathers, and the contrasting pathways to adoption which was second
choice for many of the heterosexual and some lesbian parents but first choice for all but one of
the gay parents. Not only does adoption rights for same sex couples help create families but also
Gay adoption increases the pool of couples who are able to adopt, which can move more children
out of the child welfare system into a stable family. This is a pro not only for the child, but it also
reduces the financial burden to taxpayers. (Child warfare System). Another Research study was
taken in Australia, Dr. Simon Crouch notes that in same sex couple parents have to take on roles
that are suited to their skill sets rather than falling into those gender stereotypes. This leads to a
more harmonious family unit and therefore feeding on to better health and wellbeing. (Kids
raised by same sex couples are Healthier and Happier ). Through these studies there are positive
responses that demonstrate same sex couples adoption does not cause any harmful insecurities to
the child, they are found to be the same as a child raised by a heterosexual couple. Furthermore,
same sex parents can provide shelter and love just like any other pair of parents, yet children still

Types Of Collective Learning Types
Collective Learning Types
Dan M. Lavoie
Grantham University
In today s fast economy, access to internet gives organizations an immense wealth of knowledge at a
click. The ownership of proprietary and unique knowledge is critical to an organization s ability to
maintain advantage over competitors. It is important that organizations maximize ownership of
intellectual capital as documented explicit knowledge as much as possible. The development of
intellectual capital can be achieved through the codification of existing explicit knowledge into
information systems, the personalization of individual tacit knowledge into organizational processes
(Hansen et al, 1999) or the continual encouragement of a learning environment within the
organization to acquire new knowledge (Pershing, 2006). The substantiating and capitalization on
something as abstract and intangible as knowledge is difficult. How does one convert tacit
knowledge, a thing that by its very nature cannot be verbalized by an individual, into documented
intellectual capital? The answer lies in the various types of collective learning.
Whether informal as learning in networks and communities or formalized as learning in teams (De
Laat Simons, 2005), there are multiple ways an organization can infuse collective learning into their
culture to create intellectual capital. Learning in networks is the loosest form of collective learning.

teams such as football and basketball.Cheerleading not only shows you and teaches coordination it
helps condition competitors, but it also helps you with sportsmanship ,leadership communication
skills,organizational skills,productivity and much more.
My other reason is in cheerleading we go to competition and compete with teams.A website that
helps me in this situation that had many quotes was off of www.teenink.com/nonfliction/sports

Ans 1.Peer to peer communication provides reliable connection, all the resources are available
with its users, inexpensive and is more robust as compared to the client server model which is why
most applications use this type of communication. However, certain applications instant messaging,

that follows:
пЃ¶Client server model is centralized which means all the files that are stored in the same place

www.google .com the DNS resolvers through which the website is accessed will cache the
information like the IP address for a particular TTL time which could be few hours. Now, when
changes are made, the DNS resolver all over the world that has not accessed www.google.com

will not get updated till the TTL time is over. Hence, the web cache server will send the
information with the old IP of the website to the user who is accessing the DNS server that has
the information cached and once the TTL time is over the user will be able to access the website
with the new IP address(167.45.45.46).
When a domain name resolving is done, the first place the PC will look into is the root name

The Historical and Colonial Context of Brian Friel s Translations
Regarded by many as Brian Friel s theatrical masterpiece, Seamus Deane described Translations
as a sequence of events in history which are transformed by his writing into a parable of events in
the present day (Introduction 22). The play was first produced in Derry in 1980. It was the first
production by Field Day, a cultural arts group founded by Friel and the actor Stephen Rea, and
associated with Deane, Seamus Heaney and Tom Paulin.
As Deane asserts, the play is in many respects an intelligent and enlightening metaphor for the
situation in Northern Ireland. The aims of raising cultural awareness and dispelling socio political
apathy in the North were central to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This culminated in the Rebellion of 1798, lead by Wolfe Tone and the Society of United Irishmen,
in which Hugh and Jimmy participated: The road to Sligo. A spring morning. 1798. Going into
battle (445). But, as these characters soon discovered, the rebellion failed resulting in large
executions and the passing of the Act of Union in 1800. This piece of legislation, effective from 1
January 1801, brought Ireland under the direct rule of the British Crown.
1823 saw the rise of Daniel O Connell (the only real person mentioned in the play), a
disillusioned veteran of 1798 who founded the Catholic Association. O Connell campaigned for
better civil rights and social conditions for the Irish people, hence Maire reporting that he said We
should all be learning to speak English (399). O Connell believed that it was necessary to use the
English language in order to allow Ireland to progress in a quickly modernising Western world. In
1829, due to his efforts in Parliament, the Catholic Emancipation Act came into force overturning
the penal laws.
It was at this juncture, when the play takes place, that Britain began to make deeper inroads to Irish
society and culture. An attempt to colonise the mind and the people as opposed to conquering land
through brute force. Translations is Friel s vehicle for representing methods central to the colonial
discourse of Imperialist aspirations. In the foreground of the play

On the northern island, Mokusei, was a ship. Or simply a submarine. A yellow one. Like with her other guests, she tend to obliterate their fragile life sources, but this thing, she spared them. A odd thing. A foreign feeling to her. She had always murdered others that invade the island . It wasn t because she didn t feel like it. That would disgrace her. The only reason why she didn t destroyed them, or even attack them was because they were peaceful. It was a law in the Raters. Never attack, until you are 100% sure that they are worth killing. She was merciless, but an honorable woman who never disobeyed the laws, or her superiors, even if they were annoying or angered her. Although unleashing wrath could assist with winning, staying calm was key. There they were, a suspicious, snowy white polar bear that she has never seen in her life, two man in an orange suit, and the one in the front who seemed like the leader, which he was. Trafalgar Law, better known as Surgeon of Death. He had his infamous, calm smile stamped on his face. With perfectly tanned skin that never seems to lighten or darken, and what seems like black bags under his eyes, as if he stayed up, studying. He had a white hat with brown dots sitting, completely relaxed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How Is Loss Used In Mid Term Break How is Loss Experienced in the poems Mid Term Break and November? In both the poems November, by Simon Armitage and Mid Term Break, by Seamus Heaney, the persona is compelled into that position. They both describe loss as a traumatic experience, which the persona tries to detach themselves from in order to accept the reality. In November, the persona is burdened with guilt and self blame. Realising that the situation is inevitable illuminates his fears of ageing and death. Mid Term Break is an autobiographical poem where the persona (Seamus Heany) maintains a very formal and distant tone in order to push aside his overwhelming grief. In both poems, the persona tries to distance themselves from the situation to try and make the experience... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Heaney places the powerful monostich at the end, which intensifies the sombre mood into a powerful shock to the audience. Comparing a four foot box with a foot for every year doesn t only tell the audience how brief his brother s life was, but also highlights Heaney s realisation of this harsh, inescapable horror. By rhyming the phrase bumper knocked him clear with his age on the monostich links the fragility of the child to the powerful effect on the audience and family. This reminds the persona and the audience that the impact isn t only on the child, but also on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We all know the famous children s cartoon animator, Walt Disney (most famous for creating Mickey Mouse). • 5. Examples Of Parenthood In The Destructors The lack of parenthood in The Destructors is the primary reason the boys in the gang have the dark streak that is seen in their endeavors. The effects of war and the class change contribute, but both ultimately tie back in to the root of the problem the parents. Most boys grow up with a curiosity, a knack for getting into trouble, and a longing to mess with what they shouldn t; these attributes are definitely present in the boys in the gang. Children should be raised by parents that teach them right from wrong so this curiosity, while it may still be present, is contained to a limit that is acceptable. The problem is that these boys didn t grow up with this type of parenting because they experienced little to no parenting at all. Their... One known fact about T. that is different from the others, is that his family came down after the war. Specifically, his father went from being an architect to a clerk. This change in occupation is one reason why T. is so fixated on the house. He is bitter about the war, his father s demotion, and the class change. He sees that this house survived a war he did not and wants to tear it down as his family had been. This is seen as T. is giving orders after he assumes leadership in the destruction of the house. It says that it was as though this plan had been with him all his life...crystallized with the pain of puberty. (70) The quote fortifies how he wants justice for what he has been through and that he never got to grow up as a child. He was forced to grow up quicker than he should have because of the war and his class change. The word pain brings out a sharpness to what he felt and went through. More complex infertility may require resources such as a sperm or egg bank for something like in vitro fertilization. This is a process where a sperm and egg are fertilized in a culture dish, and then implanted into a uterus. Many couples have success with this process, but it is an expensive procedure. One reason a couple may need help with in vitro is financially because of the expense. Insurance companies usually do not pay for in vitro, and it can cost over $10,000. Only 15 states mandate insurance coverage for infertility treatment, and the extent of coverage varies. Costs of infertility treatments are significant. The two craters with lakes are the North and South Craters; which are over one hundred eighty four meters deep. In many ways he is the most intelligent and appealing character in the play. Iago shows superiority over the rest of the characters in the play. He has the ability to manipulate the characters in the play, therefore controlling the play with every sequence of events. His intelligence shines through his ability to deceive, his ability to strategize, and his ability to twist the truth. Your fair daughter... / Transported with no worse nor better gaured / But with a knave of common hire, a grandolier / To the gross clasps of a lascivious Moor (!. I. 121 25). The significance of these quotes is that Iago creates this blue print in which he uses his strategical intelligence to manipulate Rodrigo into manipulating Brabantio into believing that the Moor is lascivious, which will infuriate Brabantio. This is a very complex scheme that was provoked by Iago. He makes both Rodrigo and Brabantio adversaries of Othello. This plan wasn t for the benefit of Rodrigo or Brabantio, but by using them as pawns, he gets closer to destroying Othello without getting involved in the conflict, which shows a good example of his intelligence. Iago has a keen ability to be able to twist the truth. He is able to work around what is real by his excellent word usage and persuasiveness. In scientific terminology, the knee is misaligned with its mechanical axis (Prodyut, D n.d; Hatch, 2017) Children s General Practitioner Dr Chris Teh in an interview (Teh, 2017) described the condition as two growth plates, the inner one of which pushes more than the outer one causing the kneeto slant in, whilst the outer plate tries to play catch up . It is classified as a normal part of growth in young children and is quite common until the age of roughly four years old. Concerns are raised after the age of six if a child begins developing the symptoms, or alternatively has not outgrown them. Major League Baseball is no different. The situation with baseball is more complicated, and is not only ruining the game itself, but also drawing millions of fans away from the sport. They became a common part of official objects. The Bank of England (Great Britain) and the Altes Museum (Germany) are good examples of this borrowing. These buildings appeared in different countries and periods of time, but still have some similarities. Both structures belong to the neoclassicism. The list of similarities includes pale frontispiece, columns in front of the entrance, inner arches and an overall impression of a Greek building. Rooms in both buildings have high ceilings, natural lighting and Greek style decorations. While Bank and Museum have general similarities both are big old buildings with light colored outer walls and elements of the Greek architecture in the exterior and interior, they have significant differences. THE BANK OF ENGLAND The Bank of England was first built on the Threadneedle Street in 1734 by George Sampson. The structure was rebuilt several times after that. In the documents, The Third Satire and The Odes, the bitter Juvenal and frustrated Horace openly display their opinion about the Roman Empire under the emperors Augustus and Domitian. Also, they use original techniques to deliver messages in ways that the creator wants them to deliver. However, one of the best ways to create stereotypes in cultureis the use of children s movies, because people build their personality and critical thinking in their first years of life. In Markus Zusak s The Book Thief, readers see the effects of war on the small, fictional town of Molching, Germany during World War II, specifically on that of young Liesel Meminger and her foster parents Hans and Rosa Hubermann. Essay about Race and Ethnicity in Social Sciences Use of the Terms Race and Ethnicity in the Social Sciences Defining identity can be complex and therefore we have to investigate the factors involved that make us who we are and how we are seen by others, collectively or individually. Social scientists have to consider the key elements which shape identity, the importance of social structures and agency involved. The differences and/or similarities between us are the focus that categorise and label us in society. Knowing who we are is important for many reasons including, social rights, obtaining a passport, housing, health, employment, marriage, and over all, being able to ascertain who we are, and belong. The terms race and ethnicity are central features in the process of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These subgroup identities highlight the relational factors which exist in categorising identity, each requiring the other in order to make the comparison between ethnic differences, power and status. Racialization and Ethnicization are preferred concepts as they contribute more to the idea that the identities we adopt are part of a process and are not static, referring to a dynamic process rather than a fixed state. Categorisations from the 1970 s onwards, such as the definition of black or white , were too vague, and failed to recognise the specific needs of other ethnic minorities. In order to monitor and measure statistically the discrimination and underachievement of such groups, collecting ethnic statistics in relation to race and ethnicity was necessary and these can be found in official government censuses. Over the years it became apparent that categorisation of ethnic groups in the censuses rendered some groups invisible (Questioning Identity, ch 4, p 137, section 4.1.1), for example Irish and Welsh. The category of white has had to be expanded into subcategories as the white grouping classification remained singular within the censuses until 2001, and ethnicization of whites was too generalised. ( Questioning Identity: Kath Woodward ch.4 p138 Office of Population Censuses and Surveys, 1991) These amendments show us that there have been changes in ethnic representation and that there is more awareness regarding ethnic identities and ... • 40. Lab Report on Density Measurement INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background of the Experiment Mass density describes how heavy an object is. Defined by the Greek letter ПЃ,read as rho, density is a basic yet important physical property of matter. For a bulk body without accounting its existing pores and voids, density is represented by the ratio of its mass and volume. It is given by the equation ПЃ= massvolume 1. The SI unit of density is kg/m3. However, its CGS units, g/cm3 or g/ mL, are the most commonly used ones in the laboratory. The conversion is given by 1 gcm3=1gmL=1000 kgm3 [1]. The density of a homogeneous liquid is also defined by the amount of mass per unit volume. Liquid is usually confined in a container, so its volume is relative to the volume of its container [2].... • 45. Types Of Collective Learning Types Collective Learning Types Dan M. Lavoie Grantham University In today s fast economy, access to internet gives organizations an immense wealth of knowledge at a click. The ownership of proprietary and unique knowledge is critical to an organization s ability to maintain advantage over competitors. It is important that organizations maximize ownership of intellectual capital as documented explicit knowledge as much as possible. The development of intellectual capital can be achieved through the codification of existing explicit knowledge into information systems, the personalization of individual tacit knowledge into organizational processes (Hansen et al, 1999) or the continual encouragement of a learning environment within the organization to acquire new knowledge (Pershing, 2006). The substantiating and capitalization on something as abstract and intangible as knowledge is difficult. How does one convert tacit knowledge, a thing that by its very nature cannot be verbalized by an individual, into documented intellectual capital? The answer lies in the various types of collective learning. Whether informal as learning in networks and communities or formalized as learning in teams (De Laat Simons, 2005), there are multiple ways an organization can infuse collective learning into their culture to create intellectual capital. Learning in networks is the loosest form of collective learning. People in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
