Fiber Cable, Tools, And Test Equipment
Fiber Optic Cable, Tools, and Test Equipment The following Fiber Optic Cable, Tools, and Test
Equipment are purchased and used for this project: Tripp light multi mode micron cable for networks.
This will cost around $260.00 for 1,00ft. Therefore the total for the project would be $260.00. Next a
cable IQ advanced IT kit with SC connectors is required. The Cable IQ Advanced IT Kit is designed to
maximize the efficiency of any cable qualification job. Use the included Intelli Tone 200 Probe to find
cables quickly and definitively, even on active networks. The total cost of this is $2,274.00. Price can
range depending on the brand. However, the recommended one in this case is Fluke Network cable IQ
kit. Which costs $2,274.00. I would also recommend the purchase of fiber optic installation tool kit.
These will cost around $607.00 for a kit. They have multiple choices at Fosco.com. Fiber Optic

Analysis Of Jitterbug
The Jitterbug is a cellphone which is marketed and designed for older audiences. The product is
designed to have simple navigation as to make it easy to use. The advertisement is printed in big font
to make it easy to read. It also stresses some of the jitterbugs key features such as its load speakers,
big buttons, and helpful operator for forgetful people. The advertisement also mentions that the
jitterbug would make a grate emergency phone. Using the large print helps to make the page stand out
and also much easier to read. The add targets the older generation in many ways one of which is by
using questions or stamen that the older generation can relate to. Some example of this are cellphones
have gotten so small, I can barely dial mine.

Analysis Of Tallahassee s Very Own College Town
I work at one hundred and one Cantina right here in Tallahassee s very own college town. I have
worked at Cantina for a bit over a 12 months now and have labored in the kitchen as an expediter and
currently work in the back of the bar as a bar back; as a result, I am quite acquainted with how things
are run each within the kitchen and at the back of the bar. Cantina is a Tex Mex motivated bar and
restaurant that serves a variety of typical Mexican and Americanized dishes and drinks (e.G.
Chimichangas, fajita flatbreads, and margaritas). A style of foods and drinks specials are furnished for
the duration of the week. The character of Cantina (from the décor to the temper) provides the
sensation of a night out in Mexico that makes it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The kitchen manager is in command of keeping the kitchen, growing the menu, and training cooks. As
a rule, Cantina s bartenders and servers are all female. In addition, the kitchen is open from 11:30 AM
to 10 PM and the bar serves drink from 11:30 AM to 2 AM seven days every week. Overall, Cantina is
a nice location to get moderately priced food and drink, but it s not without its operational
shortcomings. Although I have loved working at Cantina, the right administration has consistently
been missing. I ve worked beneath two different general managers at Cantina and each had their fair
share of management flaws. Probably the most problems stem from poor management insurance
policies, even as most are an outcome of neglectful supervision with the aid of the managers. To
begin, it has continuously been regular apply for the entire bartenders to be female; whilst this is not
an issue in and of itself, it has ended in gradual and sloppy bartending. The general manager almost
always hires bartenders considering that the applicant is attractive despite now not having any
bartending experience or potential about appropriate bartending etiquette or drink recipes.
Accordingly, a handful of bartenders on staff take an unreasonable amount of time to make even the
easiest of drinks. In addition, patrons which might be competent to order quite often get

Supreme Court Cases Essay
Youngstown Sheet Tube Co. vs. Sawyer Also commonly referred to as The Steel Seizure Case, it was
a United States Supreme Court decision that limited the power of the President of the United States to
seize private property in the absence of either specifically enumerated authority under Article Two of
the US Constitution or statutory authority conferred on him by Congress. The Majority decision was
that the President had no power to act except in those cases expressly or implicitly authorized by the

Plessey boarded a car of the East Louisiana Railroad that was designated by whites for use by white
patrons only. Although Plessey was one eighth black and seven eighths white, under Louisiana state
law he was classified as an African American, and thus required to sit in the colored car. When Plessey
refused to leave the white car and move to the colored car, he was arrested and jailed. The Court
rejected Plessey s arguments based on the Thirteenth Amendment, seeing no way in which the
Louisiana statute violated it. In addition, the majority of the Court rejected the view that the Louisiana
law implied any inferiority of blacks, in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment. Instead, it contended
that the law separated the two races as a matter of public policy. Smith v. Allwright: An important
decision of the United States Supreme Court with regard to voting rights and, by extension, racial
desegregation. Lonnie E. Smith, a black voter in Texas, sued for the right to vote in a primary election
being conducted by the Democratic Party. The law he challenged allowed the party to enforce a rule
requiring all voters in its primary to be white. At this point in history, the Republican Party was so
weak in the South that most Southern elections were decided by the outcome of the Democratic
primary. Southern States claimed that the Democratic Party was a private organization, while Smith
said that the law in question essentially disenfranchised him by

The Marshall Plan And The Truman Doctrine
believe that the Marshall Plan was in fact a method of guaranteeing that European markets allowed for
US exports and that Marshall himself alluded to this. It also states that the Marshall plan was a basis
for many US foreign policies that are instituted today, wherein governments aid other governments
without any assurance that the aid will be directed towards those that require it. This source is useful
as it shows an alternative reasoning behind the US s actions, that their intentions were not entirely
altruistic in that the Marshall Plan was implemented solely for the benefit of the US and that the
Marshall Plan was criticised for there being no guarantee of any benefit to other nations. b) Evaluation
of Sources Source B: This source is from the speech delivered by President Truman himself to the US
Congress on the 12th of March 1947. This speech was written and delivered in order to announce the
Truman Doctrine, outline the purpose, reasoning and need for the Truman Doctrine and convince the
US Congress and people to support the rhetoric. This source is of value as it is from the president
himself of the time, Harry S Truman, deeming it to be a reliable source of information of the time. It
shows the US s intentions behind the implementation of the Truman Doctrine, which were to protect
Greece, Turkey and the Middle East from falling to Communism, to uphold and put into effect the
principles of the Charter of the United Nations and to assist and support

Gold Digger Song Analysis
In the year of 2005, Kanye West released his second album of that year, Late Registration, containing
one of his biggest hits. The song Gold Digger is about how rich men must always be on guard of
women who will manipulate and lie their way into a man s life explicitly for money and possibly
fame. Gold Digger, being one of his most popular songs, peaked at number one on the US Billboard
Hot 100. The song received 13 nominations for awards and won 4 different awards, one being a
Grammy for best solo rap performance. By the year 2011, Kanye West s hit single had sold over 3
million copies in the United States. Since then, Gold Digger has been recreated, rewritten, and covered

Twin Caverns remade Kanye s hit song in a way that points out how the song can become nearly any
type of genre that an artist would want it to be; whether it be rap, soft rock, pop or country music. The
original song, however, is meant to be more upbeat and in a rap melody in order for it to attain the best
results possible. Twin Caverns were not able to fit the entire original song into their version because of
the tempo they set forth. If they had done so the song would be a seven minute song where people
would not take the time to listen to the song. This, however, hurt the song tremendously because a lot
of what was left out was important to the original story Kanye produced in his song. What made the
song so successful was that Twin Caverns delivered an alternative song from the original raunchy rap
song to a soothing song that can calm a person. It is also successful because the song is nearly
unrecognizable from the original. The reworking that was done to the song, in a way, slows down the
world around the listener and makes them take a step back and relax. These songs together show just
how much potential Kanye s hit song has and it has been shown through many other

Writing Notes And Playing Video Games Essay
So you get home after a hard day at the office and you boot up your computer, but today you say to
yourself, I m tired of writing notes playing video games, I want to create something ! Your girlfriend
or your wife walk by you as you stare at the wall and she says, what are you dreaming about ? Then
you tell her that you really wanted to be a computer programmer instead of a shoe salesman. Then she
says to you, you should have gone to college a few years to learn a computer language ! But your 50
years old now and you don t have time and patience like you use to. Well, I ll tell you something,
every application that comes out on the market isn t created by someone who sits down in front of a
computer and punches in hours hours of c++ code or visual basic scripts. Hey! Let s face it, it s the
year 2007 and software technology is going forward faster that you think. You don t have to sit in front
of a computer for years cranking out a bunch of computer code just to make a light blink anymore!
The are applications out there in cyber space that will allow you to create self running applications
with color graphics, video, sound, music and animation in them by simply using a drag drop interface.
Maybe this doesn t mean much to you but, you can certainly use your brain to do more creating rather
than coding. Heck, I ve seen people create some pretty awesome applications, music players, small

Marco Polo Dangers
Writing Assignment 2
Marco Polo, Description of the World
1. What were the dangers for travelers along this portion of the Silk Road?
The dangers were the climate conditions. When traveling through the desert, it was dry and hot and
without water for long periods of time. Not even birds or beasts would be in those areas because there
were no sources for food or water. Due to the lack of food and water, the travelers that passed through
the desert would experience hallucinations. There was also chances of being attacked and robbed by
bandits.
2. Despite the dangers, what made the journey possible and even bearable?
When hostile armies passed through the country, families would go on a two to three day journey
through the desert. The journey was made possible and even bearable by the towns and cities that
inhabited the road. Towards the edge of the desert was the province of Kamul, where the inhabitants
live off their produce and are also very happy. They sang and played music and danced. Travelers
were able to stop to rest and restock on their supplies for their journey. It was also a place of trade and
industry, and were not warlike.
3. Why did people inhabit towns and cities along this route?

Differences Between 16th and 19th Century Imperialism
The Differences Between 16th and 19th Century Imperialism and their Effects on the World Today.

1. What is imperialism ? How did 19th century colonialism, empire building, high imperialism differ
from those of earlier times: in particular from the colonialism of early modern mercantilism (16th
to18th centuries)?

For example, the original thirteen colonies that Britain established on North America s east coast have
gone on to become the world s main superpower, the United States of America. Britain s colony in
China, Hong Kong, has gone on to become Asia s premiere financial center with Singapore (another
British jewel) trailing just behind. Even Britain s prisoners set up the only first world country in the
Southern Hemisphere, Australia! Compare this to Spain s imperial efforts, for example Mexico is the
only third world country in North America and has always struggled to overcome a legal system
plagued with corruption. Why is it that the British colonies were so successful and the colonies of
other countries such failures in comparison? I feel the answer to that is British law. British law has
been a keystone in these colonies success. Their political ideals have helped sculpt the success stories
of the modern world, albeit there have been some failures such as India and Rhodesia where there
were civilians revolting against their new leaders. The British education system helped produce a new
class of educated Africans and Asians that were able seek employment once they had completed their
schooling.
16th Century Imperialism
Imperialism in the fifteenth century was new and exciting, the rules were unwritten. People believed
back then that the civilized world back owed it to the rest of the world

International Law And Nuclear Weapons
Internationally, nuclear weapons have been an important topic of concern and debate for the past
several decades. The concerns and debates within the international community regarding the
proliferation of nuclear weapons to more sovereign states in the post Cold War era have led to many
international law instruments in attempts to contain these weapons of mass destruction. Treaties such
as the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and the Test Ban Treaty of 1963,
international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Korean
Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO), along with United Nations Security Council
resolutions and advisory opinions from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) have all played roles in
attempting to contain and reduce nuclear weapons in the international community. However, have
these treaties, advisory opinions, resolutions, and creation of international organizations been effective
in curtailing sovereign states from obtaining and testing nuclear weapons? This paper will highlight
the relationship between specific instruments of International Law pertaining to nuclear weapons
through a case study of North Korea to show that instruments of International Law in particular, such
as the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Agency (KEDO), the International Atomic Energy
Agency (IAEA), along with United States and United Nations economic restrictions, have been
ineffective at controlling the

What Ideas About Love and the Past Are Explored in ‘Love...
Throughout Love Songs in Age and Wild Oats, Philip Larkin uses various literary techniques, such as
imagery, structure and symbolism to convey certain aspects of love and the passing of time. These
aspects are illuminated by Dannie Abse in Down the M4.
Love Songs in Age pictures a woman, perhaps Larkin s mother, who has kept the musical scores of
songs she used to play, perhaps on the piano, and rediscovers them after many years, when she is a
widow. In the poem, Larkin uses lexical choice to explore how the idea of love is often distorted and
in reality, love fails to live up to its promises of freshness and brilliance . In the third stanza, the
concept of much mentioned almost clichéd, love is presented in its brilliance , love ... Show more

The imagery conjures thoughts of gorgeous petals, yet we often forget about the prickly stem on
which the rose sits. This word is used in both, the first and third stanzas, to depict the beautiful woman
who the narrator falls in love with. Her beautiful face and body allure him into affection, leading him
to overlook her harsh thorns . Ironically rose also suggests favourable, comfortable, or easy
circumstances, a definition that is the complete opposite of what the unattainable lover instigates in
the narrator s life. The speaker also uses words such as cathedral , ring , and clergy in the second
stanza, to implicitly state that he proposes to the beautiful lover, and is denied many times. In the third
stanza, Larkin s creative use of the word snaps in describing the pictures of his lover he carries
around. Instead of simply calling them pictures or photographs, he substitutes a word that resembles
what the woman in the picture did to his heart! In the last lines of the first stanza the speaker ends with
But it was the friend I took out , considering he rambles on about how beautiful and great her friend is,
it is confusing and ironic that he chooses the girl in specs . The speaker continues on in the second
stanza and says I believe I met beautiful twice the uncertainty of how many times he met her is not
genuine and is only meant to look like he does not consider or remember how many times they met,

how the president of Chile, Salvador Allende, was refrained from gaining political power and the
tactics used to destabilize the government after his election in 1970, this evaluation will try to answer
the question: To what extent was the involvement of the United States government and the CIA
responsible for the downfall of Salvador Allende?

Having built an empire on which the marketing sun never sets, Marvel should now be facing audience
fatigue how many stories of superheroes can this world bear?
It s a question the screenwriter and producer Melissa Rosenberg clearly asked herself before
attempting to adapt the lead character of Alias, a comic book series written in 2001. In answer, she,

As a teenager, Jessica was exposed to radioactive chemicals in a car crash that killed her family and

Summary OfAll Summer In A Day By Ray Bradbury
In the story, All Summer in a Day, Ray Bradbury draws us in, as readers, with a story that takes place
on the planet Venus. The environment of Venus is as described in this quote, It had been raining for
seven years; thousands upon thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with
rain, with the gush and gush of water...fall of showers and the concussion of storms so heavy they
were tidal waves come over the islands... (Bradbury, 1954) With an environment like this, what type
of people would those on Venus be if they had never felt, saw, or experienced the sun before? The only
one that has experienced and remembers the sun is a young girl, Margot. Margot lived on Earth until
she was four years old, unlike the others who have been living underground in Venus for their entire
lives. Because of this, Margot is constantly facing problems regarding her classmates jealousy of her
past opportunities. Without the sun, she has become, as Bradbury writes, ...a very frail girl who looked
as if she had been lost in the rain for years and the rain had washed out the blue from her eyes and the
red from her mouth and the yellow from her hair. She was an old photograph dusted from an album,
whitened away, and if she spoke at all her voice would be a ghost. (1954, Bradbury) In this short story
by Bradbury, the theme is that jealousy and ignorance can blind us from seeing things how they really
are. This is shown time after time when Margot is harassed, depressed, and isolated because of her
classmates jealousy. To begin, a way that Bradbury shows us that jealousy and ignorance can shield a
person from the truth is through the main character, Margot, who is constantly being harassed by her
classmates. The only reason Margot s classmates harass her is because she remembers the sun. This
makes her different from all the others, who have lived here on Venus since birth. In this way, they are
uneducated or ignorant because they have never experienced the sun. Because she is different, the
classmates take every chance they have to harass her in any way they can. Right before the sun came
out, one of the rare events that Margot was greatly looking forward to, the classmates ...surged about

that is what American culture is rooted in. However, in his article America Needs Its Nerds (1990)
Leonid Fridman proposes that For America s sake the anti intellectual values that pervade our society
must be fought. By first spelling out how the meaning of the terms geek and nerd are derogatory, and
secondly, explaining how at prestigious colleges nerds are ostracized while athletes are idolized and

[Fridman contrasts the ideals of the nerd and of American culture by seeing how they stand up at one
of the most prestigious academic institutions: Harvard.] Fridman proclaims that even at Harvard there
is a minority of undergraduates for whom pursuing knowledge is the top priority (lines 15 17). Many
Americans see Harvard as the college attended by the best of the brightest and would expect it to have
a nerdy atmosphere, however this is not the case. It is a shocking revelation for Americans to learn
how the anti intellectual culture has seeped into every part of an American s life: from kindergarten to
college. Therefore, Fridman manipulates these perplexed and shocked emotions to prompt Americans
to agree with him through his statement enough is enough, (line 29). Furthermore, he does this to
demonstrate how Americans do not want to learn for the sake of learning and only desire to attend
college so they can get a better job and make more money than valuing the education they are
receiving. [At the end of the article, Fridman exercises a series of rhetorical questions to draw an extra
emphasis on how nerds keep America a world superpower.] During paragraph eight Fridman proposes
the question How long can America

Childhood obesity is a source of great debate in the United States. Many studies have shown the
problem has become epidemic. Adults in the United States are increasing in weight and so are children

their children can affect them negatively. Children of overweight parents are more likely to be

Benefits Of A Unified Salary Schedule
There are many advantages and disadvantages to a single, unified salary schedule. These types of
salary schedules only recognize years of service and amount of education to determine salary amounts
for all certified staff. Each salary schedule has strengths and areas of improvement, and analysis of the
salary schedule will highlight these areas. Salary schedules, including Hollister RV School District s,
only require teachers to remain employed thorough the school year to earn a raise in pay for the next
year, automatically moving to the next step on the salary schedule. Pay increases also are earned by
moving to the next lane or column based on the hours of graduate credit completed toward an
advanced degree, such as a Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree. Hollister RV School District s
certified staff s salary schedule discloses several areas of exceptionality, highlighting what is
important to the District. However, there are also areas to be improved, including recruitment and
retention (Hollister RV School District, 2016). One exceptional characteristic of the salary schedule is
that the vertical steps carry the same monetary value as the horizontal columns with the exception of
completing a Master s degree or a Specialist degree. This salary schedule indicates an equal value is
placed on service and completed education. Upon completing a degree, staff salaries increase $960
instead of the $480 earned by simply accumulating additional hours of education.

The Problem Of Criminal Justice System
Since the dawn of man crime has been a problem. Even though most people have some basic sense of
what is right and what is wrong, crime still occurs. All the way back to the ancient code of Hammurabi
man has tried to understand, classify, and appropriately punish crime. The bible itself includes a
detailed set of rules, or commandments, about what was legal and what wasn t. There are many ideas
and schools of thought that surround the idea of criminal justice. Initially the main goals of these
schools of thought were to classify and punish crimes, however in the recent past we are seeing a shift
toward the deterrence and prevention of crime. Early classical, biological, and psychological theories
helped shape what is today s criminal justice system.
One of the earliest theories that attempted to explain the cause of crime is classical theory. In 1764,
Cesare Beccaria published his Essay on Crimes and Punishments. The book, which contained
Beccaria s thoughts and observations about the criminal justice system, was important because it was
the first of its time to contain thoughts about the philosophy of punishment. According to classical
theory, individuals have the ability to exercise free will and due to this should be held responsible for
their actions. Crime is a result of rational decision making where the criminal must decide if the
possible punishment for the crime is worth the potential gain. Beccaria stated that crimes needed
fitting punishments to act as a

In emergency response management the basic network involves receiving information and then the
mobilization of the necessary emergency services and first responders to the disaster area. This is
should include a first wave of core emergency services, such as firefighters, police and ambulance
crews, but the size of the emergency determines the amount of resources allocated to any disaster. In
receiving information there needs to be a way to provide and obtain accurate and timely information

This would greatly reduce any information overload that would hinder decision making. In the span of
not having enough information, some decision makers will wait on making a decision, but this could
be just as bad as making a wrong decision.[Carver] Other key decision makers will fall back on
routines which might not be relevant in the situation. The technology in this situation needs to be able
to take the amount of information gathered and then start the allocation of resources to the area so that
information does start coming in, they can immediately start implementing the response plans. There
is a need for both discipline, which would include structure, doctrine, and processes, and agility which
could be defined by creativity, improvisation, adaptability in responding to a disaster.[Walker] There is
also the need to onboard and build an effective leadership team quickly to coordinate and manage
efforts as they grow beyond first responders. The leader and team must formulate and implement a

All Relationships Between A Mother And A Daughter
Not all relationships between a mother and a daughter are the same, but involves human interaction.
Every mother differs in their teaching and upbringing of their children, especially their daughters. A
mother s love and compassion for her child, wants the best for her child. Sometimes, her love is
rigorous because she does not want her daughter to go through her experiences in life. Written by
Jamaica Kincaid, in Girl the mother is teaching her child to take care and defend herself. Written by
Amy Tan, in Two Kinds the mother is trying to help her daughter discover her talent. A mother
instructs her daughter to obey rules and modes of conduct in order for her to be successful. Mothers
are strict when it comes to instructing their daughters of how to build a proper identity for themselves.
On Sundays try to walk like a lady and not like a slut you are so bent on becoming; don t sing benna in
Sunday school; you mustn t speak to wharf rat boys, not even to give directions; don t eat fruits on the
streets flies will follow you (Kincaid 320). Basically, mothers want their daughter to care about their
appearance and to look clean in society. The mother does not want her daughter s name to be
spreading of how nasty she dresses in public. The girl s mother wants her to not only look like a lady,
but act as one. She wants her child to have respect for herself and respected for others, by not singing
in school. If she does what her mother tells her to do; therefore

How To Transform Australian Food Culture
Since the early years of European settlement, Australia has developed as a diverse multicultural
society. Today, 23 percent of Australians were born in another country and just over 25 percent of the
population have at least one parent born overseas. All these people have brought their food habits to
Australia, which has resulted in the expansion of the diet of all Australians. As people migrated here,
they brought their traditional food habits, preparation techniques and cooking methods with them.
They then had to adapt these to the foods available within Australia.
Italy is one of many countries that has transformed the Australian food culture extremely significantly.

The Effects Of Interpersonal Competence On Interpersonal...
Introduction
Interpersonal competence is an aspect of communication that is rarely given attention despite being a
crucial facet of human interaction. In fact, Beebe et al. argue that it is comparable to breathing for
being do critical to human growth (2). According to Beebe et al., this aspect of communication is
necessary to maintain relationships and to improve affairs between lovers (6 7). To enhance our
competence in interpersonal communication, we need to learn and master ways of verbally relating
with others. One aspect that is greatly abused interpersonal communication is the inclusion of
emotions when relaying and receiving information especially when anger is used (West and Turner
238). This review seeks to analyze emotion in communication and formulate a theoretical framework
of its role in communication and suggest an action plan for the same.
The Role of Emotion in Interpersonal Communication
It is surprising that people rarely consider the intensity of inclusion of emotions when interacting with
others. In communication, it gets even worse because we end up using the aspect of emotion to
interpret what is being passed (Beebe et al. 82). One theory that explain best how emotions play a role
communication is the James Lange Theory of Emotion (Beebe et al. 42). This model was developed
by William James and Carl Lange and shows how emotion can be used to impact negatively on the
communication process. According to Beebe et al., the James Lange Theory of Emotion is

Difference Between Eliza And Wilbur
I actually really enjoyed reading this novel. I loved the story of Eliza and Wilbur. I think that this book
was a very quick, easy read which is probably why I enjoyed it so much, however I also liked how it
laid out themes we discussed this semester in a very laid back way. I think it is very sad how Wilbur
and Eliza were sent away by their parents because of the differences they possessed, which actually
turned to be to their advantage as long as they stayed together. I think that it is kind of an example of
how people are capable of more than just we assume them to be, even when it comes to medical
disadvantages. One of the parts that stood out to me in the book was whenever Eliza and Wilbur as
kids would listen to their parents say basically

The Neuman System Model Models
The Neuman System Model Nursing models and theories are a detrimental part of nursing as a whole.
They help to ensure that our knowledge and education allows us to treat the whole person to the best
of our abilities. The Neuman system model developed by Betty Neuman focuses on the response of
the patient to actual or potential environmental stressors (Johnson Webber, 2015). This allows for a
systemic approach utilizing assessment, diagnosis, nursing process, planning, implementation, and
evaluation which are key elements of good nursing care. The environment, patient history, and
socioeconomic status can impact patient wellness and are therefore all considered when providing
patient care (Johnson Webber, 2015). The patient to which I will apply the Neuman system model will
be referred to as John. John is a 80 year old male, who was admitted on June 7, with swelling to the
legs and abdomen, SOB and a productive cough with gray sputum. John has extensive medical
comorbidities predisposing him to additional health concerns such as: congestive heart failure (CHF),
coronary artery disease (CAD), chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension (HTN), anemia,
cerebrovascular accident (CVA), chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD) and depression. He is
married and has a daughter and son. In this case John and his family will make up the client system.
To apply the Neuman system model the nurse must consider several aspects of the client system for

The Role Of The Church In Orthodoxy Is To Reconcile Man
The role of the Church in Orthodoxy is to reconcile man to God through healing and ultimately assist
man on his quest to deification. The canons are a perfect expression of this journey. In Orthodoxy, the
canons are understood to have a deep and profound meaning in the life of the believer. They are
intended to guide each believer in their respective time and context. To deny the reality or the
expression of the truth in the canons is to deny the influence of the Church Fathers. In addition, the
person who holds this view is blatantly passing judgment on the faithful who lived in a different
context and age. This inaccurate viewpoint often forces one to judge without a proper understanding
of all the relevant facts. Ironically enough it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
St. Nikodemos expresses this clearly, ...Deprive the Church of the holy canons, and disorder at once
intrudes; and as a result of the disorder all her sacred adornment disappears (Patsavos 28). The role of
salvation has been handed to the Church in order to guide her flock to the ultimate union with man and
God. The cannons are a unique instrument that allows for this goal to become a reality, The holy
canons help fallen humanity remain united and in a harmonious relationship with one another in the
Church (Patsavos 27). Therefore, it is clear that in Orthodoxy the canons play a very important role in
assisting the sick in order to be healed. However, Patsavos warns against diluting the Church into a
mere set of rules (Patsavos 4). Obviously, this extreme point of view ignores all other aspects of the
Church and turns the canons into the end and not a means to the end. This legalism is clearly not the
intention of the canons.
The canons are meant to be followed in Spirit and are without a doubt pastoral in nature. If we ignore
the pastoral nature of the canons we turn the Church into a legal institution. This is where the zeal of
many towards the canons often leads to a misunderstanding that the canons must be followed by the
letter of the law. Patsavos provides evidence for this point, Canon 5 of the Holy Apostles forbids a
bishop, presbyter, or deacon to put away his wife under the pretext of religion. A later decision of the

Self-Driving Trucks
Self driving trucks have become a major scare for the trucking industry. Although uber s Advanced
Technology Group is promoting the positives of the new technology, truck drivers are realizing that
their jobs are not secure. Uber believes that self driving trucks will majorly increase supply, demand,
and the amount of trucking jobs. The work that humans provide during drives is not matchable. Truck
drivers move axles, check brakes, check are hoses, and communicate with outside sources. The more
computerized jobs become, the less necessity there will be for manual labor.
Demand Relationship: This relates the prices to the quantity demanded. The article states, If the self
driving trucks are used more efficiently, it would drive down the cost of freight, which would
stimulate demand. This is an exceptional example of demand relationship in the it displays how lower
prices would raise demand. Uber thinks the demand for freight will create a greater need for truck
drivers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Uber, self driving trucks will largely increase the amount of freight that can be sold. As a
result of the supply growth, more jobs will be created. It is hard to see a correlation between self
driving trucks and a job surge for truck drivers.
Market Equilibrium: This means that supply and demand are equal. It was predicted that the demand
for more freight will rise and supply will grow in order to match the high demand. Many companies
strive for market equilibrium, so it is obvious that the trucking industry would benefit greatly in goods
and services.
Movement Along the Demand Curve: This occurs when there is a change in both price and the
quantity demanded. The article demonstrated that a decrease in the cost of freight would raise the
demand for it. The relationship between a lower price and higher demand is displayed accurately in
this article with the desire for more efficient self driving

Good Life Is The Free Life Essay
In this paper, I will argue that good life is the free life. As Immanuel Kant once said, independence
from being constrained by another s choice, insofar as it can coexist with the someone else s freedom.
I will also argue that the role of the government in helping one live the good life is to protect its
citizens as well as to keep the peace.
Before any arguments are made it is important to understand and state the position that Immanuel
Kant holds for what constitutes the good life and the role of the government in helpings us achieve it.
When it comes to the concept of the good life Kant believes that the highest good for human beings is
acquiring both complete virtue and happiness at the same time. However, it is important to understand
that there is no necessary connection between the two, and it might even lead to opposition. For
example, picture someone who is on a diet and there is a slice of chocolate cake in front of that
person, the right thing to do is to not eat it the cake even though eating the cake would ve made that
person happy. Kant focuses on virtue and what individuals must do to cultivate a virtuous character.
For Kant, virtue is the strength possessed by individuals to resist bodily inclinations and do what is
right. According to Kant this is what differentiate us from animals (bodily desires) and divine beings
(reason). Kant claims that the purpose of human reason is to make us worthy of happiness by helping
us in becoming virtuous. According to

Overpopulation Is A Controversial Topic
While there are plenty of infants being born every single day, do you ever wonder how the world will
continue to sustain the growing population? The population of the world is continuing to grow at a
dangerously, increasing rate. There are already at least 6.5 billion people on Earth. According to,
Overpopulation is main threat to planet , the population is said to reach 9 billion by 2050. The
overpopulation of humans is causing destructive impacts on the environment and a high demand for
resources. One destructive impact would be climate change because of the exceeding rate of humans,
causing pollution in the air. While the Earth is having a tough time sustaining particular resources, the
high demand causes the earth to force to get its nonrenewable resources. Overpopulation can lead to
dangerous impacts of pollution, depleted resources, habitat loss, etc. Overpopulation is a controversial
topic. While there are those who are not paying attention to its effects, the world is displaying its
resources will soon disappear due to the depletion of nonrenewable resources such as water, oil, and

The moral status of a virtual Avatar, is a refection of a person s choice, such as that someone s choices

This seems strange for a monastic habit because the Monk has gray fur on the sleeves of his cope. 30)
The Monk wears a gold pin on his habit. The gold pin with a love knot at the end of the hood is

rosary. The Friar pg 149 31) The Friar s name is Hubert. 32) The Friar frequently arranges marriages

Jerry Spinelli s Stargirl
In the highly acclaimed book Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, life in the nondescript Mica Area High School
in Arizona is rather dull until a unique and oddball girl by the name of Stargirl Caraway arrives and
turns everything around. Told in the perspective of a boy named Leo, the story is about how Stargirl
stands out from the mainstream life of the high school body. They have a hard time reacting to her
weird and quirky habits, but they begin to accept her until she ends up becoming the most popular girl
in the school. This all goes down wind though, and Stargirl is faced with the fact that she needs to start
fitting in and acting normal. In a five star review on Goodreads, Jared states that he loves this book
because it s about individuality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Countless people today, especially youths, have a hard time fitting in with everyone else and think
they need to live and act like a conformist. Many are afraid to express their individuality and stand out
because of the fear of being looked upon as weird, different, or even freakish. The student s at Mica
High first looked at Stargirl in this way, but once they became used to her presence, they realised how
great her spirit really was. Even though in the middle of the story they started to reject her, at the end
she leaves a lasting impression on them all, especially Leo. She dressed in what she wanted to and not
what was in style, she had a pet rat that she carried with her everywhere, and she sang and played the
ukulele whenever she felt like it. There s a lot of pressure that takes place socially in school, but
through every little thing that Stargirl did, reader s can gain the confidence to be themselves and not
care what anyone else thinks. Someone will eventually love them for who they are. There is a quote
from the book that says: She laughed when there was no joke. She danced when there was no music...
She was elusive. She was today. She was tomorrow... We did not know what to make of her. In our
minds we tried to pin her to a corkboard like a butterfly, but the pin merely went through and away she
flew. This is saying that Stargirl was true to herself no matter what. She tried to fit in at one point, but
she learned that doing that would never work and that no matter what, society couldn t force her to be
anything different from herself. This is the main lesson of the whole story and it s what makes the
book great readers can take away something good to relate to their own

What is Photography
Photography is seeing what is invisible, capturing the moments that last a lifetime. It can hold all the
mystery of the world in a single picture. It is a visual diary, containing the secrets of the earth. This
great pastime is used all around the world. The good, the bad, and the ugly makes up photography.
Anyone can enjoy photography including you. There are many different parts in photography such as
its history and equipment. There are many types of photography as well. Photography in today s
society is called the killer fine art. Photography was invented around the 1820s. It is now the most
growing hobby in the world. The first camera created is called the Camera Obscura. The Camera
Obscura was used during the 13th 14th centuries. It was a dark closed box shaped space with a hole on
one side. The Camera Obsurca got its name from the Latin word Dark Room . The man behind the
camera was Joseph Nicephore. Other important men in photography history include Alfred Stieglitz
(who changed photography into art) and Henri Carrtier Bresson (the father of photojournalism). The
next major camera movement was film cameras. These cameras came out in the early 1900s. This
movement gave the Granddaddy camera its name. The Granddaddy camera is also known as a 35 mm
(millimeter) point and shoot. There were many issues with film cameras. With a film camera, you
could not scan an image without it possibly getting destroyed. Also with a film camera the film had to
be developed. There

Planning Of Implementation Of Proposed Work Essay
Planning of Implementation of proposed work This plan is the basis for the execution and tracking of
all activities that are components of the project. An iterative life cycle model does not attempt to
initialize with a full specification of requirements. Instead, development of the software begins by
specifying and implementing just part of it, which can then be verified and reviewed in order to
identify further requirements. This process is then repeated many times iteratively, producing a new
version of the software for each cycle of the model by improving it step by step. In iterative model we
are building and improving the product step by step. Hence we can identify the defects at early stages
of the project development. This helps to avoids the downward flow of the defects. In iterative model,
we can get the reliable user feedback time to time. While presenting sketches and blueprints of the
product to users for their valuable feedback, we are effectively asking them to imagine how the
product will work. In iterative model little time is spent on documenting process and more time is
given for designing part. We can use the iterative mode for software development when the
requirements of the complete system are clearly defined and understood and also the project is big
scale. Figure 3.1: Iterative Waterfall Model GHRIET Pune, Department of Computer Engineering,

Compare And Contrast Democrats And Republicans
Alexa O Sullivan
Mr. Cesare
AP Government and Politics
August 28, 2014
Democrats vs. Republicans Since 1854 American politics have been split by two rivaling political
parties: Democrats and Republicans. Both parties have different opinions on multiple topics, such as
gun control, gay rights, and immigration. They also target different audiences during elections.
Democrats and Republicans have been rivals for more than one hundred years, even with changing
their viewpoints throughout time. The Democratic party has been around for hundreds of years and is
America s oldest political party, but started off calling itself the Republican party. It was formed in
1792 by Thomas Jefferson supporters to show its anti aristocratic policies. They democrats ... Show

The Democratic party is not against gay rights. They believe in the inclusion of lesbian and
homosexual families. They also defend the idea of benefits and special rights for gay people and
families. Democrats also promote and allow open homosexuality in the military. They are completely
against discrimination, inequality, and disrespect against gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and trans genders.
Republicans, however, don t believe in gay marriage. They are more traditional and think that
marriage is a legal union between a man and a woman. They are against special rights and benefits for
gays and are against them in the military. Even though their opinion on gay marriage would lead
readers to believe republicans hate homosexuals, that is not the case. They believe in the marriage of a
man and a woman from the institution that the founding fathers and history created, not from

How Do Stereotypes Affect Children
create other issues such as sexism and racism. This can be harmful to many individuals in society.
Labels are attached to a person about how a person should act or live according to their sex, race,
personality, and other facts. This could affect individuals who perhaps like different things or do
different activities. But they would feel ashamed of doing so because of stereotypes. Stereotypes like
all men like sports or women are not as strong as men, are the most common in our society today.
Stereotypes have created a bias of how every individual should be. Finally, it is part of human nature.
Unfortunately, it makes broad judgments about a group of people based on what others observes. So
as long as we continue to have clearly defined groups ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This makes things easier, but it has a lot of downsides. It is often created as social barriers and hatred.
Again, according to the article, Long term Effects of Stereotyping it says, Stereotypes are creating
problems in kids. These problems can affect children in many ways. This problem is creating
confusion in kids because they are growing up thinking that they should be one way because society
thinks that s the ideal. Stereotypes also are creating a false idea of how they interact with other
individuals. Many of the stereotypes the children receive are through media. We can t change this
because is the way our society works, but we can teach our children to value other people for what
they are, not what they appear to be. ( Jorge Robles). This basically explains that it is important to
teach children to respect each other no matter of their sex, sexual orientation, race, culture, religion,
and more. It is important to advise them these values because they are the future of the society. This
also shows how stereotypes are inevitable because it shows nature s pattern and how it is constantly
brought down through new

The Victimization Of News Media
The news media has a way of making the story more dramatic by adding information that is not true. I
do not feel that they have the people s best interest at heart, the news media is about ratings. The
criminal justice system has cases that are presented to the public by way of social media and it tends to
have a cause and effect type situation. These sensational crime news stories do not provide a very
accurate image of the types of crime by which the average citizen is victimized. Nor do such stories
accurately depict the kinds of crimes the police respond to on a daily basis ((Bohm Haley, 2012 p.6).
Opinions and thoughts are formed without all the facts, I do believe high profile cases that are placed
on the news causes controversy and

Performance Enhancing Drugs And Supplements Plague The...
Historical National Football League coach and manager Vince Lombardi once said, Winning isn t
everything but wanting to win is . The want to win, is real; it is embodied by the usage of performance
enhancing drugs. Blood doping increases the count of red blood cells in the body, anabolic steroids
accelerate the growth of muscle and strengthen the bones, and stimulants increase alertness,
competitiveness, aggressiveness and reduce fatigue. All of these materials have clear benefits but the
health implications are still very present. Many cases of injury from these substances have
consequences as serious as death. Athletes worldwide put their bodies and health at risk due to the
usage of performance enhancing drugs and methods such as blood doping, steroids, and injections.
But in retrospect, it harms a lot more than just an athlete s body; in fact, performance enhancing drugs
and supplements plague the athletic playing field worldwide, which leads to social unrest, health
issues, and even political issues.
It is the job of the red blood cell to transport oxygen to muscles. Increased red blood cell counts
benefit the athlete in a number of ways. However, due to controversial methods of execution such as:
blood transfusions, consuming erythropoietin (EPO), and injecting synthetic oxygen carriers, the risks
far outweigh the benefits. When transfused, a high amount of blood is present within the body,
increasing stress on the heart immensely leading to stroke or a heart

Cantina is a Tex Mex motivated bar and restaurant that serves a variety of typical Mexican and Americanized dishes and drinks (e.G. Chimichangas, fajita flatbreads, and margaritas). Overall, Cantina is a nice location to get moderately priced food and drink, but it s not without its operational shortcomings. Although I have loved working at Cantina, the right administration has consistently been missing. I ve worked beneath two different general managers at Cantina and each had their fair share of management flaws. Probably the most problems stem from poor management insurance policies, even as most are an outcome of neglectful supervision with the aid of the managers. To begin, it has continuously been regular apply for the entire bartenders to be female; whilst this is not an issue in and of itself, it has ended in gradual and sloppy bartending. The general manager almost always hires bartenders considering that the applicant is attractive despite now not having any bartending experience or potential about appropriate bartending etiquette or drink recipes. Accordingly, a handful of bartenders on staff take an unreasonable amount of time to make even the easiest of drinks. In addition, patrons which might be competent to order quite often get ... The Court rejected Plessey s arguments based on the Thirteenth Amendment, seeing no way in which the Louisiana statute violated it. In addition, the majority of the Court rejected the view that the Louisiana law implied any inferiority of blacks, in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment. Instead, it contended that the law separated the two races as a matter of public policy. Smith v. The Marshall Plan And The Truman Doctrine believe that the Marshall Plan was in fact a method of guaranteeing that European markets allowed for US exports and that Marshall himself alluded to this. It also states that the Marshall plan was a basis for many US foreign policies that are instituted today, wherein governments aid other governments without any assurance that the aid will be directed towards those that require it. This source is useful as it shows an alternative reasoning behind the US s actions, that their intentions were not entirely altruistic in that the Marshall Plan was implemented solely for the benefit of the US and that the Marshall Plan was criticised for there being no guarantee of any benefit to other nations. b) Evaluation of Sources Source B: This source is from the speech delivered by President Truman himself to the US Congress on the 12th of March 1947. This source is of value as it is from the president himself of the time, Harry S Truman, deeming it to be a reliable source of information of the time. Twin Caverns remade Kanye s hit song in a way that points out how the song can become nearly any type of genre that an artist would want it to be; whether it be rap, soft rock, pop or country music. The original song, however, is meant to be more upbeat and in a rap melody in order for it to attain the best results possible. Twin Caverns were not able to fit the entire original song into their version because of the tempo they set forth. If they had done so the song would be a seven minute song where people would not take the time to listen to the song. This, however, hurt the song tremendously because a lot of what was left out was important to the original story Kanye produced in his song. What made the song so successful was that Twin Caverns delivered an alternative song from the original raunchy rap song to a soothing song that can calm a person. It is also successful because the song is nearly unrecognizable from the original. The reworking that was done to the song, in a way, slows down the world around the listener and makes them take a step back and relax. For example, the original thirteen colonies that Britain established on North America s east coast have gone on to become the world s main superpower, the United States of America. Britain s colony in China, Hong Kong, has gone on to become Asia s premiere financial center with Singapore (another British jewel) trailing just behind. Even Britain s prisoners set up the only first world country in the Southern Hemisphere, Australia! Compare this to Spain s imperial efforts, for example Mexico is the only third world country in North America and has always struggled to overcome a legal system plagued with corruption. Why is it that the British colonies were so successful and the colonies of other countries such failures in comparison? I feel the answer to that is British law. British law has been a keystone in these colonies success. Their political ideals have helped sculpt the success stories of the modern world, albeit there have been some failures such as India and Rhodesia where there were civilians revolting against their new leaders. The British education system helped produce a new class of educated Africans and Asians that were able seek employment once they had completed their schooling. 16th Century Imperialism

The concerns and debates within the international community regarding the proliferation of nuclear weapons to more sovereign states in the post Cold War era have led to many international law instruments in attempts to contain these weapons of mass destruction. Treaties such as the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and the Test Ban Treaty of 1963, international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO), along with United Nations Security Council resolutions and advisory opinions from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) have all played roles in attempting to contain and reduce nuclear weapons in the international community. However, have these treaties, advisory opinions, resolutions, and creation of international organizations been effective in curtailing sovereign states from obtaining and testing nuclear weapons? This paper will highlight the relationship between specific instruments of International Law pertaining to nuclear weapons through a case study of North Korea to show that instruments of International Law in particular, such as the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Agency (KEDO), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), along with United States and United Nations economic restrictions, have been ineffective at controlling the ... Throughout Love Songs in Age and Wild Oats, Philip Larkin uses various literary techniques, such as imagery, structure and symbolism to convey certain aspects of love and the passing of time. These aspects are illuminated by Dannie Abse in Down the M4. Love Songs in Age pictures a woman, perhaps Larkin s mother, who has kept the musical scores of songs she used to play, perhaps on the piano, and rediscovers them after many years, when she is a widow. In the poem, Larkin uses lexical choice to explore how the idea of love is often distorted and in reality, love fails to live up to its promises of freshness and brilliance . The imagery conjures thoughts of gorgeous petals, yet we often forget about the prickly stem on which the rose sits. This word is used in both, the first and third stanzas, to depict the beautiful woman who the narrator falls in love with. Her beautiful face and body allure him into affection, leading him to overlook her harsh thorns . Ironically rose also suggests favourable, comfortable, or easy circumstances, a definition that is the complete opposite of what the unattainable lover instigates in the narrator s life. The speaker also uses words such as cathedral , ring , and clergy in the second stanza, to implicitly state that he proposes to the beautiful lover, and is denied many times. In the third stanza, Larkin s creative use of the word snaps in describing the pictures of his lover he carries around. Instead of simply calling them pictures or photographs, he substitutes a word that resembles what the woman in the picture did to his heart! In the last lines of the first stanza the speaker ends with But it was the friend I took out , considering he rambles on about how beautiful and great her friend is, it is confusing and ironic that he chooses the girl in specs . • 17. Summary OfAll Summer In A Day By Ray Bradbury In the story, All Summer in a Day, Ray Bradbury draws us in, as readers, with a story that takes place on the planet Venus. The environment of Venus is as described in this quote, It had been raining for seven years; thousands upon thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with rain, with the gush and gush of water...fall of showers and the concussion of storms so heavy they were tidal waves come over the islands... (Bradbury, 1954) With an environment like this, what type of people would those on Venus be if they had never felt, saw, or experienced the sun before? The only one that has experienced and remembers the sun is a young girl, Margot. Margot lived on Earth until she was four years old, unlike the others who have been living underground in Venus for their entire lives. Because of this, Margot is constantly facing problems regarding her classmates jealousy of her past opportunities. Without the sun, she has become, as Bradbury writes, ...a very frail girl who looked as if she had been lost in the rain for years and the rain had washed out the blue from her eyes and the red from her mouth and the yellow from her hair. She was an old photograph dusted from an album, whitened away, and if she spoke at all her voice would be a ghost. (1954, Bradbury) In this short story by Bradbury, the theme is that jealousy and ignorance can blind us from seeing things how they really are. This is shown time after time when Margot is harassed, depressed, and isolated because of her classmates jealousy. To begin, a way that Bradbury shows us that jealousy and ignorance can shield a person from the truth is through the main character, Margot, who is constantly being harassed by her classmates. The only reason Margot s classmates harass her is because she remembers the sun. This makes her different from all the others, who have lived here on Venus since birth. In this way, they are uneducated or ignorant because they have never experienced the sun. Because she is different, the classmates take every chance they have to harass her in any way they can. Many Americans see Harvard as the college attended by the best of the brightest and would expect it to have a nerdy atmosphere, however this is not the case. It is a shocking revelation for Americans to learn how the anti intellectual culture has seeped into every part of an American s life: from kindergarten to college. Therefore, Fridman manipulates these perplexed and shocked emotions to prompt Americans to agree with him through his statement enough is enough, (line 29). Furthermore, he does this to demonstrate how Americans do not want to learn for the sake of learning and only desire to attend college so they can get a better job and make more money than valuing the education they are receiving. • 21. The Problem Of Criminal Justice System Since the dawn of man crime has been a problem. Even though most people have some basic sense of what is right and what is wrong, crime still occurs. All the way back to the ancient code of Hammurabi man has tried to understand, classify, and appropriately punish crime. The bible itself includes a detailed set of rules, or commandments, about what was legal and what wasn t. There are many ideas and schools of thought that surround the idea of criminal justice. Initially the main goals of these schools of thought were to classify and punish crimes, however in the recent past we are seeing a shift toward the deterrence and prevention of crime. Early classical, biological, and psychological theories helped shape what is today s criminal justice system. One of the earliest theories that attempted to explain the cause of crime is classical theory. In 1764, Cesare Beccaria published his Essay on Crimes and Punishments. The book, which contained Beccaria s thoughts and observations about the criminal justice system, was important because it was the first of its time to contain thoughts about the philosophy of punishment. According to classical theory, individuals have the ability to exercise free will and due to this should be held responsible for their actions. Crime is a result of rational decision making where the criminal must decide if the possible punishment for the crime is worth the potential gain. Beccaria stated that crimes needed fitting punishments to act as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction Interpersonal competence is an aspect of communication that is rarely given attention despite being a crucial facet of human interaction. In fact, Beebe et al. argue that it is comparable to breathing for being do critical to human growth (2). According to Beebe et al., this aspect of communication is necessary to maintain relationships and to improve affairs between lovers (6 7). To enhance our competence in interpersonal communication, we need to learn and master ways of verbally relating with others. One aspect that is greatly abused interpersonal communication is the inclusion of emotions when relaying and receiving information especially when anger is used (West and Turner 238). This review seeks to analyze emotion in communication and formulate a theoretical framework of its role in communication and suggest an action plan for the same. The Role of Emotion in Interpersonal Communication It is surprising that people rarely consider the intensity of inclusion of emotions when interacting with others. In communication, it gets even worse because we end up using the aspect of emotion to interpret what is being passed (Beebe et al. 82). One theory that explain best how emotions play a role communication is the James Lange Theory of Emotion (Beebe et al. 42). They help to ensure that our knowledge and education allows us to treat the whole person to the best of our abilities. The Neuman system model developed by Betty Neuman focuses on the response of the patient to actual or potential environmental stressors (Johnson Webber, 2015). This allows for a systemic approach utilizing assessment, diagnosis, nursing process, planning, implementation, and evaluation which are key elements of good nursing care. The environment, patient history, and socioeconomic status can impact patient wellness and are therefore all considered when providing patient care (Johnson Webber, 2015). The patient to which I will apply the Neuman system model will be referred to as John. The canons are a perfect expression of this journey. In Orthodoxy, the canons are understood to have a deep and profound meaning in the life of the believer. They are intended to guide each believer in their respective time and context. To deny the reality or the expression of the truth in the canons is to deny the influence of the Church Fathers. In addition, the person who holds this view is blatantly passing judgment on the faithful who lived in a different context and age. St. Nikodemos expresses this clearly, ...Deprive the Church of the holy canons, and disorder at once intrudes; and as a result of the disorder all her sacred adornment disappears (Patsavos 28). The role of salvation has been handed to the Church in order to guide her flock to the ultimate union with man and God. The cannons are a unique instrument that allows for this goal to become a reality, The holy canons help fallen humanity remain united and in a harmonious relationship with one another in the Church (Patsavos 27). Therefore, it is clear that in Orthodoxy the canons play a very important role in assisting the sick in order to be healed. However, Patsavos warns against diluting the Church into a mere set of rules (Patsavos 4). Obviously, this extreme point of view ignores all other aspects of the Church and turns the canons into the end and not a means to the end. This legalism is clearly not the intention of the canons. The canons are meant to be followed in Spirit and are without a doubt pastoral in nature. If we ignore the pastoral nature of the canons we turn the Church into a legal institution. This is where the zeal of many towards the canons often leads to a misunderstanding that the canons must be followed by the letter of the law. As Immanuel Kant once said, independence from being constrained by another s choice, insofar as it can coexist with the someone else s freedom. I will also argue that the role of the government in helping one live the good life is to protect its citizens as well as to keep the peace. Before any arguments are made it is important to understand and state the position that Immanuel Kant holds for what constitutes the good life and the role of the government in helpings us achieve it. When it comes to the concept of the good life Kant believes that the highest good for human beings is acquiring both complete virtue and happiness at the same time. However, it is important to understand that there is no necessary connection between the two, and it might even lead to opposition. For example, picture someone who is on a diet and there is a slice of chocolate cake in front of that person, the right thing to do is to not eat it the cake even though eating the cake would ve made that person happy. Kant focuses on virtue and what individuals must do to cultivate a virtuous character. For Kant, virtue is the strength possessed by individuals to resist bodily inclinations and do what is right. Virtual rape is a type of attack that when one avatar gets involved in non consensual sexual behaviors with another. Obviously not the same as physical rape, virtual rape also harms the person to some extent. The traumatic experiences avatars experience is valued because morally there is still a problem with the person controlling the avatar. What is going on online is that hate speech is occurring as sexual harassment, which explains the immorality of virtual rape. There are many ways people view the harm virtual rape causes, such as that critics say people can just ignore the hate speech. • 46. Jerry Spinelli s Stargirl In the highly acclaimed book Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, life in the nondescript Mica Area High School in Arizona is rather dull until a unique and oddball girl by the name of Stargirl Caraway arrives and turns everything around. Told in the perspective of a boy named Leo, the story is about how Stargirl stands out from the mainstream life of the high school body. They have a hard time reacting to her weird and quirky habits, but they begin to accept her until she ends up becoming the most popular girl in the school. This all goes down wind though, and Stargirl is faced with the fact that she needs to start fitting in and acting normal. Countless people today, especially youths, have a hard time fitting in with everyone else and think they need to live and act like a conformist. Many are afraid to express their individuality and stand out because of the fear of being looked upon as weird, different, or even freakish. The student s at Mica High first looked at Stargirl in this way, but once they became used to her presence, they realised how great her spirit really was. Even though in the middle of the story they started to reject her, at the end she leaves a lasting impression on them all, especially Leo. She dressed in what she wanted to and not what was in style, she had a pet rat that she carried with her everywhere, and she sang and played the ukulele whenever she felt like it. There s a lot of pressure that takes place socially in school, but through every little thing that Stargirl did, reader s can gain the confidence to be themselves and not care what anyone else thinks. Someone will eventually love them for who they are. There is a quote from the book that says: She laughed when there was no joke. She danced when there was no music... She was elusive. She was today. She was tomorrow... We did not know what to make of her. In our minds we tried to pin her to a corkboard like a butterfly, but the pin merely went through and away she flew. This is saying that Stargirl was true to herself no matter what. She tried to fit in at one point, but she learned that doing that would never work and that no matter what, society couldn t force her to be anything different from herself. This is the main lesson of the whole story and it s what makes the book great readers can take away something good to relate to their own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 48. Planning Of Implementation Of Proposed Work Essay Planning of Implementation of proposed work This plan is the basis for the execution and tracking of all activities that are components of the project. An iterative life cycle model does not attempt to initialize with a full specification of requirements. Instead, development of the software begins by specifying and implementing just part of it, which can then be verified and reviewed in order to identify further requirements. This process is then repeated many times iteratively, producing a new version of the software for each cycle of the model by improving it step by step. In iterative model we are building and improving the product step by step. Hence we can identify the defects at early stages of the project development. This helps to avoids the downward flow of the defects. In iterative model, we can get the reliable user feedback time to time. While presenting sketches and blueprints of the product to users for their valuable feedback, we are effectively asking them to imagine how the product will work. In iterative model little time is spent on documenting process and more time is given for designing part. We can use the iterative mode for software development when the requirements of the complete system are clearly defined and understood and also the project is big scale. The want to win, is real; it is embodied by the usage of performance enhancing drugs. Blood doping increases the count of red blood cells in the body, anabolic steroids accelerate the growth of muscle and strengthen the bones, and stimulants increase alertness, competitiveness, aggressiveness and reduce fatigue. All of these materials have clear benefits but the health implications are still very present. Many cases of injury from these substances have consequences as serious as death. Athletes worldwide put their bodies and health at risk due to the usage of performance enhancing drugs and methods such as blood doping, steroids, and injections. But in retrospect, it harms a lot more than just an athlete s body; in fact, performance enhancing drugs and supplements plague the athletic playing field worldwide, which leads to social unrest, health issues, and even political issues. It is the job of the red blood cell to transport oxygen to muscles. Increased red blood cell counts benefit the athlete in a number of ways. However, due to controversial methods of execution such as: blood transfusions, consuming erythropoietin (EPO), and injecting synthetic oxygen carriers, the risks far outweigh the benefits. When transfused, a high amount of blood is present within the body, increasing stress on the heart immensely leading to stroke or a heart ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
