Essays To Buy
Writing an essay on the topic "Essays To Buy" can be a challenging endeavor, as it involves
navigating through a complex landscape of ethical considerations, academic integrity, and the
ever-evolving world of online services. The difficulty lies not only in crafting a well-researched
and coherent piece but also in addressing the controversial nature of the subject matter.
One must grapple with the ethical dilemma of purchasing academic work, as it raises questions
about the authenticity of the educational process and the integrity of the individual seeking to
buy an essay. It requires a careful examination of the consequences that may arise from engaging
in such practices, considering potential academic penalties and the impact on personal growth
and learning.
Additionally, tackling this topic necessitates a nuanced understanding of the reasons individuals
might be inclined to buy essays, such as time constraints, lack of confidence in writing skills, or
the pressure to meet academic expectations. Balancing empathy for these challenges while
upholding the principles of academic honesty adds another layer of complexity to the essay-
writing process.
Moreover, the writer must explore the evolving landscape of online services, considering the
myriad options available for purchasing essays. Addressing the potential risks associated with
such services, such as plagiarism, subpar quality, or even legal implications, requires a thorough
examination of the industry and its implications for education.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic "Essays To Buy" demands a delicate balance
between exploring the motivations behind such actions, critically evaluating the ethical

The Pollution Of China Air Pollution

Air Pollution in China Anyone s life truly lived consists of work, sunshine, exercise,
soap, plenty of fresh air, and a happy contented spirit, Lillie Langtry(BrainyQuote); air
is important part of life without we cannot live, yet the people in China breath in
pollution air which is slowing killing their population. Most of us take the air we
breathe for granted and never stop to think that we are slowly causing the very thing
we need to live to become a poison that will enter our lungs. But how does air get
polluted one might ask? The main cause of air pollution emission is from the burning
of fossil fuels and the burning of these fuels cause the air to become harmful to
people and the environment (Facts and Details). So in this essay I will bring up
how bad China air is, how it got to be so bad, why it is important for you to know
and solutions to the problem. First thing I want to talk about is just how bad the air
in China is. According to Abc.net Linfen, China is the number one most polluted
place on earth causing high levels of bronchitis, pneumonia, lung cancer, and lead
poisoning in children alone. Which brings me to death rate every year in China,
according to the Studies by the world bank, WHO, and the Chinese academy of
Environment planning, they found around 350,000 and 500,000 people die
prematurely because of the air (telegraph ).
Analysis Of Home Life In Colonial Days
The colonization in the new continent took place in the sixteenth century after
many failed attempts. It is thanks to the first European settlers that the United
States of America was later formed. As colonizers left their homelands and traveled
across the Atlantic ocean in hopes of finding fortune and a better life, they were
faced with the opposite. Although after some time they soon started considering
the New World and the colonies formed as their new homes. In spite of the first
travellers to arrive being simply men, women started arriving slowly to the new
discovered land as Tobacco Wives. They were sent so the settlers could start
families and procreate. As time progressed more and more families of different
social statues and religious groups arrived to the unknown land. The history behind
the colonization is very known although many times the acute details of the home
life are not spoken of. Thanks to the book Home Life in Colonial Days written by
Alice Morse Earle, one becomes aware of the settlers day to day life.
In the book, Alice Morse Earle writes about all characteristics in regards to the life of
the colonist in the new land. Every part of the life of colonists including the struggles
they faced, type of homes that were built, how they looked inside and the way
individuals ate and served the food are mentioned as well as the occupation each
member of the household had and the popular fashion attire at the time. In addition
she too spoke of Sacred Sundays
Chiricahua Fort Sill Apaches.
.
Chiricahua Fort Sill Apaches The Chiricahua band of the larger Apache tribe was
fractured through attempted assimilation by the United States government. The
attempted assimilation of a regionally nomadic people whose entire society
spiritually and culturally is based upon ties to nature leads to an eventual violent
reaction by a portion of the tribe, through propagation of fear and political pressure
the entire band is taken into custody with prisoner of war status. Eventually this
status will define and even give way to the only federally created tribe, a unique
distinction created through a federal over reach of power that can be considered
genocidal in nature. This tribe is known as the Fort Sill Apaches.
In order to understand the Chiricahua band of the Apaches the land from which they
come must be understood. There is not much in the way of ancient history
concerning this people, what is known is that the Apaches are made up of four
separate bands of people of which one is Chiricahua and the Chiricahua has six
matrilineal bands of its own, according to Geronimo. Be don ko he(Geronimo s band),
the Chi hen ne(Ojo Caliente), Hot Springs, White Mountain, Cho kon en, and Ned
ni Apaches these bands ranged in present day Arizona, New Mexico, and the
northern border region of Mexico . These regions of the southwest are very arid dry
and somewhat mountainous in certain areas. This people are truly connected to the

Shortage Of Labor In High School
Construction is the industry that got us out of the recession says Kari Clark,
president of the homebuilding company Sharper Homes (personal communication,
November 22, 2017). Without a huge construction labor force, that wouldn t have
been possible. However, today s construction labor force is dwindling in size, and
home builders are having problems staffing workers. While the shortage of labor in
the construction industry of Minnesota is a serious issue, it can be solved by
introducing trade school programs into local schools. To begin, there is a decline in
Minnesotan high schools offering construction trade programs. Since high schools
don t offer these types of programs, many students don t know that going to college
to get a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only are high schools withholding trade programs from students, but the
negative perception of construction workers turns away applicants. Society has
shaped the idea that two year universities aren t as good as four year universities.
Likely, this is because the perception is that the attendees of the two year university
aren t good enough for a four year university (Dickrell, 2013). These ideas prevent
students from attending two year universities. They are worried that society will
look down upon them. This stigma shouldn t be preventing students from
considering construction jobs. Another aspect of society that creates negative
perceptions about trade schools is high school teachers. Teachers aren t discussing
trade jobs, so many students don t even think about trade schools (Robertson, 2013).
By not promoting blue collar jobs, the construction labor industry is hurting.
Teachers need to open students minds to other options besides going to a four year
college. The small number of applicates to trade schools is likely due to a negative
perception of the construction industry. The shortage of labor caused by society and
the lack of trade programs in high schools causes a problem for consumers because of
the rise in prices in the construction industry. It s plain to see that the lack of workers
affects how much construction industries can charge. The industry is

Water control in California has always been problematic. Long drafts and severe
floods show the coming of the state s and world s changing climate regional
differences in water existence and demand for water. A vast network of storage and
conveyance facilities delivers water from the wetter parts of the state to population
and farming centers in the Bay area, Southern California and the Sun Joaquin Valley.
This network is now threatened by the physical and biological fragility of the system
s hub in the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta. (2015) California is also living through
one of the worst droughts in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Climate change will have a great impact on the future of the world, let alone deltas.
California natural inconsistency looks like it is going to increase, bringing fourth
constant droughts and floods. It is expected that rising air temperatures will
significantly reduce the Sierra Nevada snowpack, which will affect water custody as
well as winter and spring flood flows. In addition, increasing temperatures of the
water throughout the area may make taking care of aquatic habitats for native fish
species much more difficult. After some time, all of these challenges are expected to
escalate in magnitude. Government pioneers likewise bear an obligation to guarantee
against the danger of significant water supply interruptions. We must shield the delta
water conveyance framework from seismic tremor, ocean level ascent and levee
busting water surges. Potential resolution calls for difficult and sometimes highly
priced trade offs together with inconvenient legal and political changes. The
California Department of Water Resources, the Bureau of Reclamation, State and
Federal Fish agencies and State and Federal Water Agencies have proposed a fix of
systems within to ensure a more efficient, eco friendly flow of fresh water
throughout. The proposal is called the Bay Delta Conservation
Most Common Orthopedic Surgeries
What are the top most common Orthopedic Surgeries?
The Orthopedic Surgery involves treatment of the conditions of muscles as well as
skeletons through surgical methods. Initially, the orthopedic surgeons try to treat the
ailment with non surgical methods, but in the cases of failures of such methods the
orthopedic problems are then treated through surgical methods. There are many types
of treatments that a surgeon performs on its patients according to their problem, but
there are some procedures that are noted as the most common. Here are 4 most
common orthopedic surgeries:

Poor Parenting Techniques Displayed in Maurice Sendaks...
Poor Parenting can cause poorly behaved children
Where The Wild Things Are was first published in 1963 and is the first part of a
trilogy of award winning books by American author and illustrator Maurice Sendak.
Where The Wild Things Are is haunting and imaginative and describes how a young
child, called Max, creates a fictitious fantasy world in order to deal with the terrifying
reality of anger.
Poor parenting is a lack of parenting techniques and skills in relation to the
responsibilities and obligations, which need to be fulfilled in order to accomplish
prominent problems within the family relationship. Poor parenting is most likely to
come from an absence of cooperation from both child and parent, satisfying both
needs and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Max interprets the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour
in the picture book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, it is clearly
evident that the ways in which he and his mother are portrayed influence the
depiction of characters by the implied reader. Max s mother is represented in the
text as the authoritarian. She has the dominating position in the family and is likely
to be the family decision maker. In the 1960 s, women were the housekeepers and
wives and were the sole minder of the children as the father was a workingman who
supplied the bread and water. It should come as no surprise to the implied reader that
Max s mother was therefore the dominant authoritarian as her main job was to care
for the children.
Max is represented as an adventurous but monstrous 6 to 8 year old child with
destructive behaviour. He is wearing a wolf suit as a disguise; it symbolizes a
sense of development and privacy. Max s behaviour is represented in the monster
picture he drew. It suggests the adventure he is about to enter is not something that
is new. He could have been thinking of a fantasy world, far away from the reality of
his anger at his mother, and that he has a history of destructive behaviour. Max s
poor behaviour and characteristics are influenced by his mother s parenting skills and
techniques. In a time of great development and growth in this phase of his childhood,
Max s social development characteristics included
American Kids By Kenny Chesney
In his popular song American Kids , Kenny Chesney tells the story of what the
dysfunctional life of an average American kid is like. No matter what your
experience is growing up in suburban American, you can likely relate to at least a
few of the exclusively American activities. The modern American dream, at least
for many yet to enter adulthood, the American dream simply consist of being able
to live a good, fun, and adventurous life, before entering the daunting task of being
grown. In the modern day, things like college and high school and for the most part
guaranteed so long as you are willing to work for it, where for many decades things
like college were something that only a small number of people ever were able to do.
However the largest theme of the American dream, optimism, still for the most part
thrives today, We were teenage dreamin , front seat leanin always waiting for the next
thing, the next person, the next adventure.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hickam s rocket boys book October Sky , a group of ragtag friends in a lost piece

these boys who adventured in the hills of West Virginia playing Cowboys and
Indians I invented an Indian tribe, the Coalhicans and always managed to be
resilient in there rocket building even when they were ridiculed and yelled at (pg.

growing up in small towns, in Little Pink houses , though in Coalwood they were
white, with a grey tint of coal smoke. Both Hickam s and Chesney s tale was of a
dysfunctional life, where you have humble beginnings and are able to enjoy where
you are, but still have optimism for, and a determination to improve the

Malathion Spray
Malathion spray being used for mosquitoes in our community isn t good for our
health or the environment. If you are exposed to the fumes of the spray it can cause
you to get headaches, muscle weakness, vomiting and other symptoms. It may work
on the mosquitoes but is very harmful to everyone else breathing it. You can also be
affected from Malathionfrom drinking water and food. It breaks down faster in water
and will eventually go away. Our children stand a high risk of catching symptoms
from the spray. Our kids are always outside and if you have a truck rolling by your

Here lies a statement of my beliefs that I spoke about, during my time at the podium
at Simla. I represent the interests of the nearly six million Sikhs of India and explain
how the Sikhs have created our own unique religion, how we have continued to
defend ourselves from invaders and oppressors, how we have transformed our region
into flourishing farmland, and that we therefore deserve to own our homeland of the
Punjab (Role Sheet).
Sikhism preaches a message of devotion and remembrance of God. Most distinctively,
it preaches the equality of mankind. Although it is compared to Hinduism and Islam,
Sikhism denounces rituals that are blind. This includes fasting, visiting places of
pilgrimage, and any superstition (Sikhism, Religion of Sikh People). Sikhism
preaches that people of all kind start as equals in the eyes of God. While Sikhism is
often considered a fusion of Hindu and Muslim ideals, it is important to understand
that this blend is complex. As stated in the Guru Granth Sahib, I do not make
pilgrimages to Mecca, nor do I worship at Hindu sacred shrines. I serve the One
Lord, and not any other. I do not perform Hindu worship, nor do I practice the

Critique Of Early Education Approach

Montessori Method there are two branches of Montessori schools the first is the
Association Montessori International which was started by the founder Maria
Montessori in 1907. The second branch is the American Montessori society started by
Nancy Rambush in an attempt to Americanize the Montessori Method. Montessori
schools have multi aged classes that have self correcting materials that the children
use. The children are allowed to make use of any of the equipment in the classroom
after they have been given a silent demonstration by the teacher.
The High/Scope, Approach founded in 1970 by the work that Dave Weikart and
Connie Kamii did on the Parry Preschool Project. These early educators thought that
early education could prevent school failure in high school. They believed that
children learn by mentally and physically interacting with the environment and with
others. One of the main features is that children are encouraged to be active in their
learning. Teachers in the High/Scope school classrooms are interactive often

Psychological Perspective Analysis
During week one, our class examined the Contemporary Perspectives in
Psychology. According to Wood, Wood, and Boyd (2014), psychological
perspectives are general points of view used for explaining people s behavior and
thinking, whether normal or abnormal (p. 13). By using a combination of
perspectives, I believe it provides more knowledge and strategies to improve the
behavior. The views which intrigued me the most are : behavioral perspective,
psychoanalytic perspective, humanistic perspective, and cognitive perspective.
Behavioral perspective is based upon a person s learning and life experiences. Daily,
a person has exposure to different situations. These situations can trigger both positive
and negative behavior. Instinctively, a person can then learn or remember that
situation(s) and behave, positively or negatively. This perspective is important
because, psychological responses can be modeled... Show more content on

This perspective appeals to me, because it can be based upon unresolved concerns
in someone s life. If someone has experienced trauma as a child and it is not
resolved, then they may regress and start exhibiting strange behaviors, such as
thumb sucking as a grown adult. From my perspective, the view of psychoanalytic
is important to understanding why a client/person may display signs of the
behavior. This gives a clue, to why a person is the way they are. Humanistic
perspective is behavior that is viewed as the achievement of one s full potential and
independence, in the real world. Typically, every human being desires or yearns for
self actualization. We as humans, have an innate need to feel some form of
achievement, rather than failure or subjugation of our own free will. As a human, I
can relate to this perspective because I am the commander of my own ship and strive
to reach my ambitious
Relationships Refers To Bonds Between Two Or More
People,
Relationships refers to bonds between two or more people, this can be romantic,
friendly, family or work related. People seek relationships because they must fulfill
their needs. One of our basic needs is to feel secure. We feel secure and safe when
we are with someone, for example, at night I don t like to be alone because I feel
unsafe but when I m with someone this feeling disappears it just gives you a
sensation of safeness. Also, people may decide to form relationships because of a
common interest, they might be studying the same subject or pursuing the same
goals in life so united their probability of making it are greater. Another factor can

The second reason is that it helps us connect with the other person, it builds trust
and it shows we care, overall, everybody wants to be heard. The third reason is that
it is more likely that the other person will listen to us and will approve are
message. In Venezuela, there is a dictatorship running the country Chavismo and
this has ruined this rising developing country. Hugo Chavez governed the country
since 1990 s until his death since then he has done everything that he thinks it s

Maduro follows the same strategies as Chavez not listening to anybody and just
doing what he thinks is right for the country. Venezuela could have been a strong
country if it hadn t been for Chavez lack of listening skills. Listening means not just
understanding the message, but also understanding the emotions of the speaker. In
ordinary listening we hear the words and thinking Where do I agree? Where do I
disagree? and What am I going to say in response? In simple terms the spotlight is
on us and not in the speaker, however, in real listening the spotlight is on the
speaker, we put our self in their shoes, we just don t listen to the words in

In the story A Rose for Emily, the actually chronology of the events that occurred

of her being older in age as she told the townspeople to See Colonel Sartoris when he

Electric Cars Are Better Than Gas Cars
Who invented the first electric? The invention of the first model electric vehicle was
given to different people. In 1828, ГЃnyos Jedlik, a Hungarian who invented a type
of electric motor, created a small model car powered by his new motor. In 1834,
Vermont blacksmith Thomas Davenport built a something as similar as tg electric
motor which worked only on a short, circular, special electrified track. In 1834 a
man named Professor Sibrandus Stratingh of Groningen, who lived in Netherlands
and his assistant Christopher Becker created a small electrical car, powered by non

Electric cars are better than gas cars because electric cars make less noise than gas
cars when driving. The engines of electric cars make almost no noise, which the
engineers have been perfecting for about 10 years now. The only sound you can
hear is probably the hum of tires on the road when driving. On the other hand, the
amount of noise inside a gas car can be as loud as 75 80 decibels. Electric cars are
also better than gas cars because electric cars have low cost maintenance costs
because electric cars do not need oil changes and it does not need oil for the engine
to run.
Electric cars can also save you money because they do not need gas, but people still
say that Electric cars are so much more expensive to buy. For example, the 2011
Nissan LEAF SL has an Manufactured suggested retail price also known as (MSRP)
of $33,7207, the four door 2011 Honda Civic Si offers many of the similar features
for price of %$24,4051. That s over $9,000 cheaper. But there is a catch, the United
states government is offering $7,500 in federal tax rebate for the purchases of a new
Electric cars. Many states like California offer an extra $5,000 payment through
2015. That s a total of $12,500 saving already! In terms of fuel price, if you drive the
Honda Civic 15,000 miles per year for five years, the cost for gas would be
approximately $10,057. For the same mileages on a LEAF will cost only $3,000
Catcher In The Rye Phoniness Analysis
What Does Phoniness Mean to Holden?
In The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, a young man named Holden Caulfield
struggles to discover who he is inside, and he learns how to see the world after his
brother, Allie, dies of Leukemia. Holden becomes a little depressed once Allie
passes away. He sees the world as a place full of artificial people, and he can not
seem to find anything good to say unless he s talking about his siblings. His siblings
are young and innocent, and these characteristics differ from those that are apparent
in the adult world. Holden believes that his siblings are perfect, but Salinger
uncovers that perfection is impossible and inauthentic actions make people human.
Salinger tries to shows through The Catcher in the Rye that phoniness appears in the
adult world as hypocritical actions or when people try to appear superior, and
Holden constantly points out this so called phoniness in people when he can be quite
fake too.
Holden likes to use the word phony as a way to describe seemingly anyone and
everyone. He calls his headmaster at Elkton Hills fake because he would only talk
to parents that made him look good. He says, He d [Haas] be charming...Except if
some boy had little old funny looking parents...if a boy s mother was sort of
fat...then old Haas would just shake hands with them and give them a phony smile
and then he d go talk, for maybe a half an hour, with somebody else s parents. (17)
It seems that in Holden s opinion, anything someone does to appear superior
represents phoniness. In chapter 15, Holden says that his roommate wanted to keep
his nice suitcases out because he wanted people to think my bags were his (121). The
roommate wanted to make himself look better, and Holden does not skip one beat
before pointing out his inauthenticity.
The irony behind all of these instances when Holden calls others phony is that
Holden has many cases building up himself. He lies constantly, and he even says, I

Pharmacist Needing Professional Liability

Protecting your assets, licenses, and name that Allied Non Physician Healthcare
workers have achieved for themselves means having Professional Liability Insurance.
Many people do not realize that not only doctors need professional liability insurance
but any profession that encounters consumers may need it. Professional Liability
Insurance protects professionals against negligence claims made against them.
Professional Liability Insurance is as known as Errors and Omissions Coverage that
physicians, insurance agents, accountants, attorneys, etc. all need. Pharmacists are one

Pharmacists now experience more lawsuits than ever before due to healthcare
facility errors that were looked over, giving a prescription to the wrong customer,
writing the wrong directions on a prescription, putting the wrong drug in the correct
bottle for a patient, etc. (Rx Recruiters, (N.D.). I have worked in a pharmacy over
many years and have seen many mistakes happen with a good and bad ending. The
two most common mistakes that are not the fault of the pharmacist are giving the
wrong prescription to the wrong customer at check out and not following HIPPA
standards. There are many cases where customers can have common names and are
given the wrong prescription due to lack of verification. I have personally heard of
a customer calling back because they realized they have the wrong medication. An
instance of such could go in a very bad direction if a customer takes the medication
and causes health problems or death, which would result in a malpractice lawsuit.
Although it was not the pharmacist error because it was an employee working under
the pharmacist, the pharmacist could lose their license and much money due to this
mistake. As long as the pharmacist has professional liability insurance this mistake
would be covered and licenses would not be threatened to be taken. Another main
area for possible lawsuits would be disregarding or not following HIPPA regulations
properly. In
Earbud Persuasive Speech
Have you ever thought about the dangers of earbuds? What do you consider loud ?
Have you heard of hearing loss? Matthew, sixteen, could hear just fine until

The Secret Compartment Of The Room
Nightburn closed the journal and replaced it in the secret compartment in his desk.
He would read more later, but for now he was weary from all the apportation he
had performed that day. He pushed his chair back, stood up and walked out onto
the balcony. It was late evening and he hadn t eaten all day and decided he should
make an appearance to avoid undue suspicion even if it was late. Washing up, he
changed into his usual attire and left his room for the dining hall. Voices drifted down
the corridor as he approached the room, although he found most of the tables
unoccupied except one near the doorwhere a few members of his personal guard sat
and his own. Sara, Balthazar, Kane and Faine sat conversing as he walked over to join

Balthazar informed him of his plans to be away for the next few weeks checking
on the affairs of other order members as he felt it would assist them with future

ate, the others soon joined in the conversation with some minor matters that had
occurred during recruitment of new troops. Even though the servants cleared the
table, they still sat for some time finishing their glasses of wine and talking about
this and that, nothing of real concern. Relieved that no one had commented on his
late arrival, he yawned, only then realizing how truly tired he had become and
excused himself and retired to his room, finding a bath drawn with clean towels
and the bedding changed. He truly appreciated his service staff at that moment.
Stripping off his clothes, he stepped into the bathtub, but took only the time to
bathe himself because the bed was so appealing. Having scrubbed off all the dirt
from the day, he stepped out, dried himself with the towels left by the servant,
dressed in his bed attire, and plopped his tired body into bed. When his head hit the
pillow, he was fast asleep.
The next morning, Nightburn awoke, eager to find the hidden room, he had read
about in his father s journal, and dressed quickly. Although early, the guards would be
changing shifts soon making it easier to get to the north wing unseen. He stepped into

Zeitoun Book Report
Sitting in english class, you are handed this book called Zeitoun. Weeks go by, and

News that would alter the way you feel about the book. Zeitoun, by Dave Eggers, is
a book about this family who gives you their opinion and the inside story on what it
was like for their family when Hurricane Katrinahit New

Eggers did a fantastic job of showing this. Taking the way he wrote could lead to
clues that he actually did try to incorporate the way Zeitoun treated his wife and
family. Eggers really did not fully show that Zeitoun was an unbreakable superhero.
He shows how Zeitoun and Kathy disagree on things and how they argue.(Nashe)
When Zeitoun and Kathy went on that walk to this huge rock, Kathy said multiple
times how she wanted to turn back around and forget about what they promised.
Zeitoun would not let her turn around. He would say that they had come to far to
turn back. This could allude to the abuse he put Kathy under. The rock could be the
goal, and Zeitoun would want to stay together and prove that they had a strong
marriage and a strong will to grow together. Kathy turning around could act like her
wanting to give up everything they went through and for the both of them to start
off brand new; but Zeitoun won. They walked to the rock, but even though Kathy
kept up the strong act for a while, it did not last. Eggers also showed he was
stubborn and that he put a lot of effort into his work. Zeitoun eventually became a
workaholic, partly because of the fact he was imprisoned. After the storm though,
Eggers shows how both of them are broken.(Nashe) Without indirectly adding these
little hints, it is easy to say that Eggers probably did not know about the abuse; but
since there are the tiny hint, it is possible to say that Eggers might have known about
some of it. He might not have known all the details, but he perhaps knew a little
something. He does not have the right to come out and just say that Kathy was
abused because he used what the family gave to him. If they gave him the
information, he should have said something, but if they did not give him the
information he can not just accuse Zeitoun. The fact that Eggers and the filmmaker,

Freedom In The Middle Ages
When the West came to the point of Middle Ages, people crossed the borders that had
drawn on the subject of state and government power. There were two important
events that leaded this changes: Christianity and feudalism.
By the formal recognition of Christianity and embracement of this religion throughout
Europeans, religious thoughts and teachings has become the main features of this era.
Even though the real Christianity concerns about the value of humans, I found middle
Ages as a prison of freedom of mind and human rights. After embracement of
Christianity, repression policy began to follow, and emperors and governments
supported this pressure partly for their own political benefits. The religious system
founded by the pope caused the arising of sovereignty of dogma and
institutionalization of fear factors among people through inquisition courts,
anathema, and indulgence. All the facts were searched only in the molds to be put
by the church. In some sense, I believe the definition of freedom in the middle ages
was not the independence from power, but the privilege and status of one class over
another.
The second important event that shaped the middle ages in Europe was feudalism.
The emergence of feudalism caused the disintegration and fragmentation of the ...

Socrates Virtues Of The City
Socrates believes every city and person has virtues within them, and it is the proper
balance of the virtues that results in justice. The virtues of a city, Socrates mentions
are, wisdom, courage, temperance and justice. He claims justice is the balance of all
three virtues with everybody playing their proper role in society. The first virtuehe
examines is wisdom. Wisdom, Socratessay s resides in the smallest class, the Rulers,
because they posses the knowledge, ...which takes measures, not in behalf of
anything in the city, but in behalf of the city as a whole... (Republic, 428d). The next

Moderation, he explains is the maintenance of the balance of powers within the
city, which results from the separation of the classes, and everybody in each class
doing what they were meant to do. Justice in a city is virtue in the city arising from
the prescence of three virtues... (Republic, 427e). The proper balance in a city of
wisdom, courage and temperance results in justice, the last virtue. Socrates
definition of justice in the city state and in the individual are analogous. He claims
that just as the are three virtues to the just city, there are three parts to the just
individual, and it is the balance of these parts that results this just individual. The
three parts of the just person, Socrates believes are, wisdom, appetite and the spirit
or active part of the soul. Wisdom, like the rulers, is the smallest part of the soul,
and guide of reason in each person. Spirit, or the active part of the soul, pushes the
body into action to obtain its desires, and represents the auxiliaries of a city. The
last part of the soul, appetite, consists of the desires or passions found in the iron or
bronze class, such as money hunger and possession. Like the iron or bronze class in

Viktor Frankl s Man s Search For Meaning
Number 119,104: Viktor Frankl s Man s Search for Meaning
Viktor Frankl had a chance to escape the wrath of World War II, but he didn t!
Instead, he chose to stay behind so that he could be close to his parents. That choice,
ultimately led him to extreme experiences within several Nazi concentration camps,
including the infamous Auschwitz. Watching those around him suffer the same fate,
the same hardships and the same pain, he noticed that they all reacted differently.
Those who had found a meaning or will to live did so, but others who had lost
everything dear to them often just gave up and died. Frankl realized that (and he
often quotes Nietzsche), He who has a why to live can bear with almost any how .
Frankl s Early Life and Parental Attachment
Viktor Frankl was born on March 26, 1905 in Vienna, the same day Beethoven died
to Elsa and Gabriel Frankl. He was interested in psychology from an early age and in
1921 gave a public lecture On the Meaning of Life . He graduated with a doctorate in
1930 (V Frankl Institut). While in training he had great difficulty being apart from
his parents and stated in his autobiography that I was so emotionally attached to my
parental home that I suffered terrible homesickness during the first weeks and
months, even years, when I had to stay overnight in the various hospitals where I
was working (Frankl, 2000). In 1940, during the war, he became a director of the

multiple twisted ankles throughout the season. Overall, I mentally doubted
myself and didn t have confidence. I never thought highly about myself.
Transition: My first couple of years of cross country showed me that I had to
change something to improve my time, so starting senior year, I did. I
significantly changed my lifestyle for the better. Instead of eating junk food, fast
food, or anything fried, I switched to buying healthier and protein packed food to
fuel my body. For running, carbohydrates supply energy and protein helps muscle
repair. Many other healthy foods like nuts, beans, whole grain rice or pasta,
salmon, and fruit give necessary supplements like iron, vitamin E, antioxidant
amino acid taurine, omega 3 fatty acids, and more. In addition, I got into the habit
of getting more sleep each night. Sleep is the best time to recover, allowing
muscles to heal and repair themselves. Also, I started drinking about 3 to 4 water

the good guys compared to the bad guys . While reading this book I was lead to
believe that the boy is truly the only good guy left, because the man and every other
character that I encountered in this book share some of the same qualities as the bad

Another passage in the book that also led to my conclusion about the man was
when he and the boy had just hit the jackpot in the underground hideout; they had
stocked up on food in their buggy and had just about more than they could carry, as
they started back on their journey they come across an old man walking down the
road. Maybe we could give him something to eat. He looked off down the road.
Damn, he whispered. He looked down at the old man. Perhaps he d turn into a god
and they to trees. All right, he said. He untied the tarp and folded it back and
rummaged through the canned goods and came up with a tin of fruit cocktail and
took the can opener from his pocket and opened the tin and folded back the lid and
walked over and squatted and handed it to the boy. What about a spoon? He s not
getting a spoon. (McCarthy 163). I believe the only reason the man gave in so
easily in this situation was because they had been very fortunate in their findings, I
sense that the man feared that if he was not at least a tad bit generous, that bad
karma might just shadow him. After the stranger on the road had finished eating the
can of fruit ...he sat holding the empty tin and looking down into it as if more might

A Note On B2b Sales Cycle
If you re not using or have given up on landing pages, then you re missing out on a
truly integral component of the sometimes complex B2B sales cycle.
Whether used as part of a lead or sales funnel... integrated into an email, PPC, or
direct mail campaign... a well crafted landing page can really boost your conversion
rates.
Now there are potentially hundreds of specific steps you can take in order to get the
most out of them. And there are, of course, various ways to test each page element.
Am I recommending that you ignore all the testing and tweaking? Of course not.
But if you want to get the most bang for your buck, you can t afford to ignore the
basics.
So without further ado, here are five steps to creating landing pages that convert.
1. Determine the goal.
The lack of a clearly defined goal is probably the single biggest stumbling block for
most people. If your pages contain six different ideas, all competing for attention,
then you re in for a disastrous conversion experience.
For example, if you ve recently published three white papers, it would be a huge
mistake to design one landing page for all of them. Studies consistently show that
vague or competing themes are a huge factor in the overall success or failure of a
landing page. So instead of cramming multiple ideas onto one page, be sure to
create a separate one for each. If you follow this one step alone, you ll likely see at
least a double digit improvement in your conversion rate.
2. Keep

All the residents gather in Tallmadge park at the beginning of the day, until night

There are also rides, and many trailers that sell fair food in them such as cotton

Mechanicville residents can get out and see each other and socialize with old

Another activity they have here in Mechanicville is something called the duck derby.
Many residents of Mechanicville gather down at the docks, behind the police station

Nationalism And National Identity
Nationalism is a source of modernization and political legitimacy, especially in Latin
American countries such as Nicaragua, Argentina, and Mexico. An inclusive national
identity can serve as a means for the development of belonging, and this globally
acclaimed notion of diversity is attractive for nations struggling to find their footing
in the international community. Looking towards the future, the key to achieving this
inclusion is the use of culture, specifically employing music as a tool of integration.
However, the decisive variable here is adolescents. Though these popular music forms
may be the music of the people, they are ultimately dictated by the youth. In modern
times, music is integral for youth as they delve into discourses of identity and
equality, so focusing in on marginalized youth gives the government an opportunity
to explore attitudes and national inclusion among individuals who are in a critical
period of development. Even though teens are influenced by their parents beliefs
during childhood before advancing their own views, youth are ultimately the starting
point for incorporating ostracized groups into nationalist discourses because they are
the developers and executors of music movements. Furthermore, the attitudes of
young people regarding inclusion and exclusion provide an indication for the
sustainability of such diverse national identities in the future.
In Nicaragua, discourses of identity became prominent following the success of the

Wealth Inequality In America
In America, we can describe wealth inequality as the unequal distribution of assets
within a population. The United States exhibits wider disparities of wealth between
rich and poor than any other major developed nation (Wealth inequality). The way
wealth is defined is by equating the net worth which is the total sum of you assets
minus liabilities. What includes in assets is everything that you own such as personal
residence, stocks, real estate, and retirement accounts. Now, liabilities cover what a
household owes such as, credit card balance, student loan, a car loan, etc... Over the
years the average wealthhas increased over the past 50 years, but unfortunately it

The first key strategy that Dish Corporation has adopted in its quest to gain

Vehicle Pollution And Vehicle Pollution
If we have a look at traffic today, we see more and more cars that are powered by
electricity instead of the ecologically harmful fuel most cars used to drag their
power from. Although the first electric car was invented by the Scottish inventor
Robert Anderson between 1832 and 1839, a crude electric carriage powered by non
rechargeable primary cells, between now and then the majority of cars we found on
the streets were powered by fuel. But still, although more than 2 million electric
vehicles now travel the world s roads, they only make up 0.2 percent of the total light
duty passenger vehicleshare around the world. And still, this is a major step in the
right direction. In 2016, the number of electric cars increased by 60 percent, and in
2015 by 77 percent. Electric cars sure are in the ascendant, just why is that a good
thing? The answer is quite simple and everywhere known; vehicle pollution. And
because this vehicle pollution is a major problem for us and our environment, the
negative externalities of this vehicle pollution are going to be analyzed and advice on
how to solve or better, get rid of the problem, is going to be offered.
To start off, here is a short definition of what exactly negative externalities are. They
are costs that are suffered by a third party. These costs are also called the social
welfare loss. Producer and consumer are the first and second parties, third parties on
the other hand are individual people other than producer and consumer, property
Pros And Cons Of Hydropower
Hydropower is a alternative energy sources that makes electricity using water, this
process goes from mechanical to electrical . This form of energy is a transfer from
mechanical to electrical energy. Hydroelectric power is very useful source of
alternative energy, if this market keeps growing, it could be the solution to a clean
and mostly environmentally friendly power source. The most common source for
generating hydroelectric power is dams. There are an estimated 57,000 large dams
around the world producing tons of electricity for the people in the area. Many
countries use hydroelectric power, China leads the way with the country producing
over 856.4 billion kilowatts the second is Brazil, and then Canada in third place.

All the pros of having hydroelectric power is that it is a clean resource, the only time
when pollution is being put into the World s atmosphere and when they build the dam
, once it s built it can be a very environmentally friendly resource of electricity.
Another pro is that it is safe, it won t explode like nuclear or many fossil fuels,
making safer and allowing people to use this power without worry. Another pro is
that it is reliable and renewable, the water will never run out and can keep going as
long as the river flows.
There may be many good things about hydroelectricity but there s also some bad
things about this alternative energy source. There is a high initial investment on
most hydroelectric sources, with larger dams costing over 20 billion dollars. One
other disadvantage is the building of the dam can change the ecosystem in the water
because the dam can change the temperature the level of water and can affect the
water flow causing fish and other animals to be disturbed. One huge problem in the
development and growth of this alternative energy source is that we are running out
of areas that can sustain a dam, so eventually we would be limited to the places we
create them and could stop the development of hydroelectric

seemed that Sony s management launched another restructuring of the company. By
2003, commentators were beginning to ask whether restructuring was part of the
solution or part of the problem. How should Sony be managing its strategic
renewal? Introduction For the first quarter ending 30 June 2003, Japan based Sony
Corporation (Sony)2 stunned the corporate world by reporting a decline in net profit
of 98 per cent. Sony reported a net profit of ВҐ9.3 million compared to ВҐ1.1 billion
for the same quarter in 2002. Sony s revenues fell by 6.9 per cent to ВҐ1.6 trillion for

Each business division was in turn split into product groups. The electronics
business division was split into four product groups, which produced a wide variety
of products. The entertainment division, which consisted of the music group and
the pictures group, made music videos and motion pictures. The finance division
consisted of Sony s life insurance and finance business. The company s growth was
propelled by the launch of innovative products and by its foray into the music and
films business. Restructuring of electronics business (1994) Under Ohga s
leadership, Sony witnessed negligible growth in sales during 1990 and 1994. Sales
and operating revenues improved by only 2 per cent during that period. However, the
net income and operating income registered a drastic fall of 87 per cent and 67 per
cent respectively. Analysts felt that the stagnation in the electronics industry coupled
with factors such as the recession in the Japanese economy and the appreciation of
the yen against the dollar led to the deterioration in the company s performance. It
was noticed that in the electronics business (see Table 3), the revenues of the video
and audio equipment businesses were coming down or were at best stagnant, while
the television and Others group were showing signs of improvement. The Others
group, which consisted of technology intensive products such as computer products,

Lakers Vs. Los Angeles Clippers
In L.A there is a battle, a battle of who is the best basketball team in the city. The
Los Angeles Lakers or the Los Angeles Clippers. This whole rivalry started in 1984
when the Clippers moved to L.A. The Clippers originally played their games in the
Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, while the Lakers were winning
championships in the Forum. In their first matchup the Lakers won 108 103, and
with that a crosstown rivalry was born the Associated Press wrote. While the
Clippers were rebuilding, the Lakers had put together a super team dubbed
Showtime. With Magic Johnson running the whole thing and 38 year old Kareem
Abdul Jabbar in the post, and with that duo the Lakers won the championship in
the 84 85 season. By 1986, the Lakers were still undefeated against the Clippers.
Magic Johnson also won his first MVP award. In 1987, the Lakers won the The
Finals again, winning their 4 title in franchise history, and their second since the
Clippers moved to L.A. In the 1987 88 NBA season the Lakers won another Finals
against the Detroit Pistons a.k.a the Bad Boys, going back to back. In 1992, the
Clippers had their first winning season since 1978 79 and their first playoff
appearance since 1976. The Lakers, on the other hand, struggled with Magic Johnson
s retirement after he tested positive for AIDS. The Clippers ended a 27 game losing
streak in the Forum, and finished with a better record than the Lakers that season....

The Lakers also signed free agent Shaquille O Neal from the Orlando Magic.
Shaquille O Neal lead the Lakers to a record of 56 26, averaging 26.2 ppg and 12.5
rpg. Before the 1999 2000 season the Lakers hired former Chicago Bulls coach Phil
Jackson, who brought the infamous triangle offense to L.A. In Phil Jackson s first
season the Lakers won their first Finals since
Redemption In Pulp Fiction
The movie Pulp Fiction by Quintin Tarantino is an unusual movie that shows a
different side to the underground crime that happens in a city. Such as having it focus
on the people that work for the mob boss instead of the victims. And even having the
movie out of order plays a part. Both of these things also help create the form and
content of the movie. The form being violence/unchronological order, and the content
being redemption. The form, violence/out of order, affects the films content,
redemption, in the way that the people that committed the acts of violence were able
to redeem themselves or even redeem other people. And without the acts of
redemption the acts of violence would have seem pointless and uncalled for. One of
the first things that you... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One example is the robbers, whom we see Jules gives them a chance at redemption
if they take what they have and just walk away. We do see them walk away but we
don t see where they end up or if they decided to stop being robbers. Another
example is the boxer, Butch. When he and his ex boss, Marcellus, are being held
hostage and he had a chance to escape, he decided to go back and save Marcellus
instead of leaving him to (presumably) die. This was his act of redemption but we
don t see how he got on Marcellus s bad side in the first place or if his act of
leaving the city was successful. Finally, in Pulp Fiction there are a lot of allusions
and references to pop culture (what was popular back in that day and age), such as
Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and many more. And both play a huge part in affecting
the story because without them the movie would seem to scripted and stiff. But with
them it comes out as more relatable and it flows smoothly. They also help with the
form and content in the way that it makes some of the violent scenes seem more
comical and the redemption scenes seem more significant. Everything plays a major
role in this movie. Whether it s violence, redemption,

one that was a signature for associated with his name, which set the structure apart.
Another major turning point for the French classicism design is when, Louis XIV
rejected Giovanni Bernini s curvilinear design for the east facade of the Louvre in
favor of Louis Le Vau and Claude Perrault s more classicizing design with its
celebrated colonnade (1667 70) (Spicer, 2001). This decision set the French apart
from the adopted form of Italian baroque, rejecting the exuberant behavior of
common Italian practices during the time period. During the seventeenth century, the
common practice for important building design was to include all prominent art
forms in the research and development. We can see this happen in popular buildings
such as the Louvre, where Louis Le Vauand Claude Perrault designed portions in
unison. Arguably the most important building to come out of the mid seventeenth
century is the Palace of Versaillesoutside of Paris. The designers Le Vau, Mansart, Le
Brun, and Andre Le Notre all worked in conjunction to complete everything from the
building design to the colossal gardens and fountains. Another notable feature of the
early seventeenth century is the emergence of dignified, attractive city squares. A
strong example of such square is the Palace of Vosges in Paris, constructed in the
early seventeenth century, incorporated a King s house, Queen s house, and a handful
of steeply pitched roofed buildings to form the square for festivities. Constructed of

Violence In A Tale Of Two Cities
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens is about a time where the citizens of both
France and England are falling to oppression and violence by the government.
With corrupted politicians taking place; is making the citizens live their lives
ruled by twisted people. One of the big themes in A Tale of Two Cities is
oppression and violence, which is making life difficult for those who are innocent
and want to live their life without pain as the corrupt government ends up making
everyone feel suffering. Politics is a main contributor to oppression and violence
as they tend to care more about themselves. The politicians are pleasing those who
are in a high social class than those who are in a lower social class such as the poor.

They start treating them as trash and not give a second of thought about their
humanity. In 1984 injustice occurs when the government removes the civil rights of
their citizens, they heavily survey their actions and any thought of rebellion can lead
to arrest. The Party the name of the new government undertakes in these activities to
insure they are able to keep their position without being challenged. The
government in Syria led by President Assad uses excess force and treats their people
in a inhumane and uncivil as all the rights of the people are being taken away; in
such an unjust and violent way, which continues to separate the population and cause
more uneasiness between the people as they don t know what will happen. In A Tale
of Two Citiesthe citizens are forced to abide by the rules set by the French
government, with these rules set; if a person breaks them they might be arrested
and sent to prison with ever being able to prove their innocence in a trial or even
be sentenced to a death penalty which keeps the citizens afraid from doing anything
to fight back. a law of the Suspected, which struck away all security for liberty or
life, and delivered over any good and innocent person to any bad and guilty one;
prisons gorged with people who had committed no offense, and could obtain no

against them which can lead to hate of those allowing the injustice and not letting
people to express their civil

Comparative Analysis of Adaptive Threshold Based Spectrum Sensing Techniques in
Cognitive Radio Networks
Abstract: In the last two decades, the number of wireless communication users and its
applications increasing rapidly. With this rapid growth there exists spectrum scarcity.
One of the best solutions to avoid spectrum scarcity is cognitive radio with its
dynamic spectrum sensing. Cognitive radio is a promising technology, which is used
to sense the unused spectrum in an appropriate manner. Various methods have been
proposed in the past, such as energy detection, matched filter and so on [1 6 7].
Different techniques serve different purpose based on their advantages and
disadvantages.
In this paper, the author suggests an approach of dynamic threshold to increase the
probability detection of spectrum sensing. Spectrum sensing using energy detection,
matched filter detectors based on fixed threshold and dynamic threshold are simulated
using MATLAB. The performance of energy detection, matched filter detector is
compared by plotting probability detection versus signal to noise ratio graph.
Keywords: Spectrum Sensing, Cognitive Radio, Wireless Communication, Energy
Detection, Matched Filter, Probability Detection and Threshold.
I. Introduction: The recent trend in cognitive radio related research has altered s
great of deal of interest in spectrum sensing and detection of radio users in the
environment [5]. In general, the spectrum user signals are categorized into primary

  • 2. The Pollution Of China Air Pollution Faith Andrews Professor Williams English 120 4/30/2015 Air Pollution in China Anyone s life truly lived consists of work, sunshine, exercise, soap, plenty of fresh air, and a happy contented spirit, Lillie Langtry(BrainyQuote); air is important part of life without we cannot live, yet the people in China breath in pollution air which is slowing killing their population. Most of us take the air we breathe for granted and never stop to think that we are slowly causing the very thing we need to live to become a poison that will enter our lungs. But how does air get polluted one might ask? The main cause of air pollution emission is from the burning of fossil fuels and the burning of these fuels cause the air to become harmful to people and the environment (Facts and Details). So in this essay I will bring up how bad China air is, how it got to be so bad, why it is important for you to know and solutions to the problem. First thing I want to talk about is just how bad the air in China is. According to Abc.net Linfen, China is the number one most polluted place on earth causing high levels of bronchitis, pneumonia, lung cancer, and lead poisoning in children alone. Which brings me to death rate every year in China, according to the Studies by the world bank, WHO, and the Chinese academy of Environment planning, they found around 350,000 and 500,000 people die prematurely because of the air (telegraph ).
  • 3. Analysis Of Home Life In Colonial Days The colonization in the new continent took place in the sixteenth century after many failed attempts. It is thanks to the first European settlers that the United States of America was later formed. As colonizers left their homelands and traveled across the Atlantic ocean in hopes of finding fortune and a better life, they were faced with the opposite. Although after some time they soon started considering the New World and the colonies formed as their new homes. In spite of the first travellers to arrive being simply men, women started arriving slowly to the new discovered land as Tobacco Wives. They were sent so the settlers could start families and procreate. As time progressed more and more families of different social statues and religious groups arrived to the unknown land. The history behind the colonization is very known although many times the acute details of the home life are not spoken of. Thanks to the book Home Life in Colonial Days written by Alice Morse Earle, one becomes aware of the settlers day to day life. In the book, Alice Morse Earle writes about all characteristics in regards to the life of the colonist in the new land. Every part of the life of colonists including the struggles they faced, type of homes that were built, how they looked inside and the way individuals ate and served the food are mentioned as well as the occupation each member of the household had and the popular fashion attire at the time. In addition she too spoke of Sacred Sundays
  • 4. Chiricahua Fort Sill Apaches. . Chiricahua Fort Sill Apaches The Chiricahua band of the larger Apache tribe was fractured through attempted assimilation by the United States government. The attempted assimilation of a regionally nomadic people whose entire society spiritually and culturally is based upon ties to nature leads to an eventual violent reaction by a portion of the tribe, through propagation of fear and political pressure the entire band is taken into custody with prisoner of war status. Eventually this status will define and even give way to the only federally created tribe, a unique distinction created through a federal over reach of power that can be considered genocidal in nature. This tribe is known as the Fort Sill Apaches. In order to understand the Chiricahua band of the Apaches the land from which they come must be understood. There is not much in the way of ancient history concerning this people, what is known is that the Apaches are made up of four separate bands of people of which one is Chiricahua and the Chiricahua has six matrilineal bands of its own, according to Geronimo. Be don ko he(Geronimo s band), the Chi hen ne(Ojo Caliente), Hot Springs, White Mountain, Cho kon en, and Ned ni Apaches these bands ranged in present day Arizona, New Mexico, and the northern border region of Mexico . These regions of the southwest are very arid dry and somewhat mountainous in certain areas. This people are truly connected to the land, A Chiricahua s specific birthplace was a sacred spot
  • 5. Shortage Of Labor In High School Construction is the industry that got us out of the recession says Kari Clark, president of the homebuilding company Sharper Homes (personal communication, November 22, 2017). Without a huge construction labor force, that wouldn t have been possible. However, today s construction labor force is dwindling in size, and home builders are having problems staffing workers. While the shortage of labor in the construction industry of Minnesota is a serious issue, it can be solved by introducing trade school programs into local schools. To begin, there is a decline in Minnesotan high schools offering construction trade programs. Since high schools don t offer these types of programs, many students don t know that going to college to get a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not only are high schools withholding trade programs from students, but the negative perception of construction workers turns away applicants. Society has shaped the idea that two year universities aren t as good as four year universities. Likely, this is because the perception is that the attendees of the two year university aren t good enough for a four year university (Dickrell, 2013). These ideas prevent students from attending two year universities. They are worried that society will look down upon them. This stigma shouldn t be preventing students from considering construction jobs. Another aspect of society that creates negative perceptions about trade schools is high school teachers. Teachers aren t discussing trade jobs, so many students don t even think about trade schools (Robertson, 2013). By not promoting blue collar jobs, the construction labor industry is hurting. Teachers need to open students minds to other options besides going to a four year college. The small number of applicates to trade schools is likely due to a negative perception of the construction industry. The shortage of labor caused by society and the lack of trade programs in high schools causes a problem for consumers because of the rise in prices in the construction industry. It s plain to see that the lack of workers affects how much construction industries can charge. The industry is
  • 6. Analysis Of The Bay Delta Conservation Plan With Donovan Rose Donovan Rose Doctor Christy Bowles Environmental Studies 151 27 May 2015 Analysis of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan with Donovan Rose Water control in California has always been problematic. Long drafts and severe floods show the coming of the state s and world s changing climate regional differences in water existence and demand for water. A vast network of storage and conveyance facilities delivers water from the wetter parts of the state to population and farming centers in the Bay area, Southern California and the Sun Joaquin Valley. This network is now threatened by the physical and biological fragility of the system s hub in the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta. Climate change will have a great impact on the future of the world, let alone deltas. California natural inconsistency looks like it is going to increase, bringing fourth constant droughts and floods. It is expected that rising air temperatures will significantly reduce the Sierra Nevada snowpack, which will affect water custody as well as winter and spring flood flows. In addition, increasing temperatures of the water throughout the area may make taking care of aquatic habitats for native fish species much more difficult. After some time, all of these challenges are expected to escalate in magnitude. Government pioneers likewise bear an obligation to guarantee against the danger of significant water supply interruptions. We must shield the delta water conveyance framework from seismic tremor, ocean level ascent and levee busting water surges. Potential resolution calls for difficult and sometimes highly priced trade offs together with inconvenient legal and political changes. The California Department of Water Resources, the Bureau of Reclamation, State and Federal Fish agencies and State and Federal Water Agencies have proposed a fix of systems within to ensure a more efficient, eco friendly flow of fresh water throughout. The proposal is called the Bay Delta Conservation

  • 8. Poor Parenting Techniques Displayed in Maurice Sendaks... Poor Parenting can cause poorly behaved children Where The Wild Things Are was first published in 1963 and is the first part of a trilogy of award winning books by American author and illustrator Maurice Sendak. Where The Wild Things Are is haunting and imaginative and describes how a young child, called Max, creates a fictitious fantasy world in order to deal with the terrifying reality of anger. Poor parenting is a lack of parenting techniques and skills in relation to the responsibilities and obligations, which need to be fulfilled in order to accomplish prominent problems within the family relationship. Poor parenting is most likely to come from an absence of cooperation from both child and parent, satisfying both needs and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Max interprets the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour in the picture book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, it is clearly evident that the ways in which he and his mother are portrayed influence the depiction of characters by the implied reader. Max s mother is represented in the text as the authoritarian. She has the dominating position in the family and is likely to be the family decision maker. In the 1960 s, women were the housekeepers and wives and were the sole minder of the children as the father was a workingman who supplied the bread and water. It should come as no surprise to the implied reader that Max s mother was therefore the dominant authoritarian as her main job was to care for the children. Max is represented as an adventurous but monstrous 6 to 8 year old child with destructive behaviour. He is wearing a wolf suit as a disguise; it symbolizes a sense of development and privacy. Max s behaviour is represented in the monster picture he drew. It suggests the adventure he is about to enter is not something that is new. He could have been thinking of a fantasy world, far away from the reality of his anger at his mother, and that he has a history of destructive behaviour. Max s poor behaviour and characteristics are influenced by his mother s parenting skills and techniques. In a time of great development and growth in this phase of his childhood, Max s social development characteristics included

This is very similar to the life that Chesney portrays in his song, growing up in small towns, in Little Pink houses , though in Coalwood they were white, with a grey tint of coal smoke. Both Hickam s and Chesney s tale was of a dysfunctional life, where you have humble beginnings and are able to enjoy where you are, but still have optimism for, and a determination to improve the

I represent the interests of the nearly six million Sikhs of India and explain how the Sikhs have created our own unique religion, how we have continued to defend ourselves from invaders and oppressors, how we have transformed our region into flourishing farmland, and that we therefore deserve to own our homeland of the Punjab (Role Sheet). Sikhism preaches a message of devotion and remembrance of God. Most distinctively, it preaches the equality of mankind. Although it is compared to Hinduism and Islam, Sikhism denounces rituals that are blind. This includes fasting, visiting places of pilgrimage, and any superstition (Sikhism, Religion of Sikh People). Sikhism preaches that people of all kind start as equals in the eyes of God. While Sikhism is often considered a fusion of Hindu and Muslim ideals, it is important to understand that this blend is complex. As stated in the Guru Granth Sahib, I do not make pilgrimages to Mecca, nor do I worship at Hindu sacred shrines. I serve the One Lord, and not any other. By Amy Sussna Klein from Earlychildhood News http:/ /www.earlychildhoodnews.com/earlychildhood/article_view.aspx?ArticleID=367 Montessori Method there are two branches of Montessori schools the first is the Association Montessori International which was started by the founder Maria Montessori in 1907. The second branch is the American Montessori society started by Nancy Rambush in an attempt to Americanize the Montessori Method. Montessori schools have multi aged classes that have self correcting materials that the children use. The children are allowed to make use of any of the equipment in the classroom after they have been given a silent demonstration by the teacher. The High/Scope, Approach founded in 1970 by the work that Dave Weikart and Connie Kamii did on the Parry Preschool Project. These early educators thought that early education could prevent school failure in high school. They believed that children learn by mentally and physically interacting with the environment and with others. One of the main features is that children are encouraged to be active in their learning. Teachers in the High/Scope school classrooms are interactive often observing and setting up problem solving situations for the children. The Reggio Emilia Approach is relatively new in the U.S.A this method is used in northern Italy. The schools in Italy that were using this method were rated in
  • 16. Psychological Perspective Analysis During week one, our class examined the Contemporary Perspectives in Psychology. According to Wood, Wood, and Boyd (2014), psychological perspectives are general points of view used for explaining people s behavior and thinking, whether normal or abnormal (p. 13). By using a combination of perspectives, I believe it provides more knowledge and strategies to improve the behavior. The views which intrigued me the most are : behavioral perspective, psychoanalytic perspective, humanistic perspective, and cognitive perspective. Behavioral perspective is based upon a person s learning and life experiences. Daily, a person has exposure to different situations. These situations can trigger both positive and negative behavior. Instinctively, a person can then learn or remember that situation(s) and behave, positively or negatively. This perspective is important because, psychological responses can be modeled... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This perspective appeals to me, because it can be based upon unresolved concerns in someone s life. If someone has experienced trauma as a child and it is not resolved, then they may regress and start exhibiting strange behaviors, such as thumb sucking as a grown adult. From my perspective, the view of psychoanalytic is important to understanding why a client/person may display signs of the behavior. This gives a clue, to why a person is the way they are. Humanistic perspective is behavior that is viewed as the achievement of one s full potential and independence, in the real world. Typically, every human being desires or yearns for self actualization. We as humans, have an innate need to feel some form of achievement, rather than failure or subjugation of our own free will. As a human, I can relate to this perspective because I am the commander of my own ship and strive to reach my ambitious

In Venezuela, there is a dictatorship running the country Chavismo and this has ruined this rising developing country. Hugo Chavez governed the country since 1990 s until his death since then he has done everything that he thinks it s right and by doing so has silent the voices of the Venezuelans. The country is currently governed by his successor Nicolas Maduro and the situation has gone worst, the country can t even afford hospitals with the essential medical supplies. Maduro follows the same strategies as Chavez not listening to anybody and just doing what he thinks is right for the country. Venezuela could have been a strong country if it hadn t been for Chavez lack of listening skills. Chronology Of A Rose For Emily By Faulkner In the story A Rose for Emily, the actually chronology of the events that occurred happened in a much different order than the one that Faulkner told them in which allows the reader to get a better insight into the characters and the plot of the story. Faulkner begins telling the story from Emily Grierson s funeral, but quickly switches into a flashback, a move he does often throughout the story, to begin telling the reader about Emily s struggle with taxes and the changing of the administration of the town in which she lived. In this scene, Faulkner gives Emily the impression of her being older in age as she told the townspeople to See Colonel Sartoris when he had been dead almost ten years (2). Electric cars are better than gas cars because electric cars make less noise than gas cars when driving. The engines of electric cars make almost no noise, which the engineers have been perfecting for about 10 years now. The only sound you can hear is probably the hum of tires on the road when driving. On the other hand, the amount of noise inside a gas car can be as loud as 75 80 decibels. Electric cars are also better than gas cars because electric cars have low cost maintenance costs because electric cars do not need oil changes and it does not need oil for the engine to run. Electric cars can also save you money because they do not need gas, but people still say that Electric cars are so much more expensive to buy. For example, the 2011 Nissan LEAF SL has an Manufactured suggested retail price also known as (MSRP) of $33,7207, the four door 2011 Honda Civic Si offers many of the similar features for price of %$24,4051. That s over $9,000 cheaper. But there is a catch, the United states government is offering $7,500 in federal tax rebate for the purchases of a new Electric cars. Many states like California offer an extra $5,000 payment through 2015. That s a total of $12,500 saving already! In terms of fuel price, if you drive the Honda Civic 15,000 miles per year for five years, the cost for gas would be approximately $10,057. For the same mileages on a LEAF will cost only $3,000
  • 21. Catcher In The Rye Phoniness Analysis What Does Phoniness Mean to Holden? In The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, a young man named Holden Caulfield struggles to discover who he is inside, and he learns how to see the world after his brother, Allie, dies of Leukemia. Holden becomes a little depressed once Allie passes away. He sees the world as a place full of artificial people, and he can not seem to find anything good to say unless he s talking about his siblings. His siblings are young and innocent, and these characteristics differ from those that are apparent in the adult world. Holden believes that his siblings are perfect, but Salinger uncovers that perfection is impossible and inauthentic actions make people human. Salinger tries to shows through The Catcher in the Rye that phoniness appears in the adult world as hypocritical actions or when people try to appear superior, and Holden constantly points out this so called phoniness in people when he can be quite fake too. Holden likes to use the word phony as a way to describe seemingly anyone and everyone. He calls his headmaster at Elkton Hills fake because he would only talk to parents that made him look good. He says, He d [Haas] be charming...Except if some boy had little old funny looking parents...if a boy s mother was sort of fat...then old Haas would just shake hands with them and give them a phony smile and then he d go talk, for maybe a half an hour, with somebody else s parents. (17) It seems that in Holden s opinion, anything someone does to appear superior represents phoniness. In chapter 15, Holden says that his roommate wanted to keep his nice suitcases out because he wanted people to think my bags were his (121). The roommate wanted to make himself look better, and Holden does not skip one beat before pointing out his inauthenticity. The irony behind all of these instances when Holden calls others phony is that Holden has many cases building up himself. He lies constantly, and he even says, I m the most terrific liar you ever saw (19). In one circumstance, Holden encounters a woman on the bus who happens to be the mother of a boy from Pencey, and he tells Mrs. Morrow one lie after another. He creates a fake name for himself, and begins shooting the old crap

The two most common mistakes that are not the fault of the pharmacist are giving the wrong prescription to the wrong customer at check out and not following HIPPA standards. There are many cases where customers can have common names and are given the wrong prescription due to lack of verification. I have personally heard of a customer calling back because they realized they have the wrong medication. An instance of such could go in a very bad direction if a customer takes the medication and causes health problems or death, which would result in a malpractice lawsuit. Although it was not the pharmacist error because it was an employee working under the pharmacist, the pharmacist could lose their license and much money due to this mistake. As long as the pharmacist has professional liability insurance this mistake would be covered and licenses would not be threatened to be taken. Another main area for possible lawsuits would be disregarding or not following HIPPA regulations properly. In

Zeitoun would not let her turn around. He would say that they had come to far to turn back. This could allude to the abuse he put Kathy under. There were two important events that leaded this changes: Christianity and feudalism. By the formal recognition of Christianity and embracement of this religion throughout Europeans, religious thoughts and teachings has become the main features of this era. Even though the real Christianity concerns about the value of humans, I found middle Ages as a prison of freedom of mind and human rights. After embracement of Christianity, repression policy began to follow, and emperors and governments supported this pressure partly for their own political benefits. The religious system founded by the pope caused the arising of sovereignty of dogma and institutionalization of fear factors among people through inquisition courts, anathema, and indulgence. All the facts were searched only in the molds to be put by the church. Whether used as part of a lead or sales funnel... integrated into an email, PPC, or direct mail campaign... a well crafted landing page can really boost your conversion rates. Now there are potentially hundreds of specific steps you can take in order to get the most out of them. And there are, of course, various ways to test each page element. Am I recommending that you ignore all the testing and tweaking? Of course not. But if you want to get the most bang for your buck, you can t afford to ignore the basics. So without further ado, here are five steps to creating landing pages that convert. 1. Determine the goal. The lack of a clearly defined goal is probably the single biggest stumbling block for most people. If your pages contain six different ideas, all competing for attention, then you re in for a disastrous conversion experience. For example, if you ve recently published three white papers, it would be a huge mistake to design one landing page for all of them. Studies consistently show that vague or competing themes are a huge factor in the overall success or failure of a landing page. So instead of cramming multiple ideas onto one page, be sure to create a separate one for each. If you follow this one step alone, you ll likely see at least a double digit improvement in your conversion rate. 2. Keep

An inclusive national identity can serve as a means for the development of belonging, and this globally acclaimed notion of diversity is attractive for nations struggling to find their footing in the international community. Looking towards the future, the key to achieving this inclusion is the use of culture, specifically employing music as a tool of integration. However, the decisive variable here is adolescents. Though these popular music forms may be the music of the people, they are ultimately dictated by the youth. In modern times, music is integral for youth as they delve into discourses of identity and equality, so focusing in on marginalized youth gives the government an opportunity to explore attitudes and national inclusion among individuals who are in a critical period of development. Even though teens are influenced by their parents beliefs during childhood before advancing their own views, youth are ultimately the starting point for incorporating ostracized groups into nationalist discourses because they are the developers and executors of music movements. Furthermore, the attitudes of young people regarding inclusion and exclusion provide an indication for the sustainability of such diverse national identities in the future. Business Strategy Of Dish Network Corporation BUSINESS STRATEGY Name Institution Date Business Strategies Dish Network Corporation is an American organization that specializes in offering direct satellite service providers. The company has for a long time served many Americans through their interactive television services, satellite internet access, satellite television and audio programming among others. However much Dish Corporation is in business with a large number of subscribers, it is faced with a myriad of competition from rival firms that offer the same services. The firms that rival Dish Corporation include Comcast Corporation, Time Warner Cable Enterprise and Directv Group holdings. As of the year 2016, Dish Corporation has had more than 13 million subscribers who access their services. For a large organization such as Dish, concrete strategies are required to push rival firms out of business. This essay will center its focus on the key strategies that Dish has adopted over the years to remain in business and at the same time gain competitive advantage. The first key strategy that Dish Corporation has adopted in its quest to gain competitive advantage over its competitors is putting more emphasis on customer focus. Customer focus in the latter perspective represents boosting services such as customer care. In the recent years, the firm has been faced by dwindling financial situations that have almost threatened to knock it out of business. As a result, the firm has adopted the idea of adopting up to
  • 38. Vehicle Pollution And Vehicle Pollution If we have a look at traffic today, we see more and more cars that are powered by electricity instead of the ecologically harmful fuel most cars used to drag their power from. Although the first electric car was invented by the Scottish inventor Robert Anderson between 1832 and 1839, a crude electric carriage powered by non rechargeable primary cells, between now and then the majority of cars we found on the streets were powered by fuel. But still, although more than 2 million electric vehicles now travel the world s roads, they only make up 0.2 percent of the total light duty passenger vehicleshare around the world. And still, this is a major step in the right direction. In 2016, the number of electric cars increased by 60 percent, and in 2015 by 77 percent. Electric cars sure are in the ascendant, just why is that a good thing? The answer is quite simple and everywhere known; vehicle pollution. And because this vehicle pollution is a major problem for us and our environment, the negative externalities of this vehicle pollution are going to be analyzed and advice on how to solve or better, get rid of the problem, is going to be offered. To start off, here is a short definition of what exactly negative externalities are. They are costs that are suffered by a third party. These costs are also called the social welfare loss. Producer and consumer are the first and second parties, third parties on the other hand are individual people other than producer and consumer, property
  • 39. Pros And Cons Of Hydropower Hydropower is a alternative energy sources that makes electricity using water, this process goes from mechanical to electrical . This form of energy is a transfer from mechanical to electrical energy. Hydroelectric power is very useful source of alternative energy, if this market keeps growing, it could be the solution to a clean and mostly environmentally friendly power source. The most common source for generating hydroelectric power is dams. There are an estimated 57,000 large dams around the world producing tons of electricity for the people in the area. Many countries use hydroelectric power, China leads the way with the country producing over 856.4 billion kilowatts the second is Brazil, and then Canada in third place. How Hydroelectric ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All the pros of having hydroelectric power is that it is a clean resource, the only time when pollution is being put into the World s atmosphere and when they build the dam , once it s built it can be a very environmentally friendly resource of electricity. Another pro is that it is safe, it won t explode like nuclear or many fossil fuels, making safer and allowing people to use this power without worry. Another pro is that it is reliable and renewable, the water will never run out and can keep going as long as the river flows. There may be many good things about hydroelectricity but there s also some bad things about this alternative energy source. There is a high initial investment on most hydroelectric sources, with larger dams costing over 20 billion dollars. One other disadvantage is the building of the dam can change the ecosystem in the water because the dam can change the temperature the level of water and can affect the water flow causing fish and other animals to be disturbed. One huge problem in the development and growth of this alternative energy source is that we are running out of areas that can sustain a dam, so eventually we would be limited to the places we create them and could stop the development of hydroelectric

With each disappointment, it seemed that Sony s management launched another restructuring of the company. By 2003, commentators were beginning to ask whether restructuring was part of the solution or part of the problem. How should Sony be managing its strategic renewal? Introduction For the first quarter ending 30 June 2003, Japan based Sony Corporation (Sony)2 stunned the corporate world by reporting a decline in net profit of 98 per cent. Sony reported a net profit of ВҐ9.3 million compared to ВҐ1.1 billion for the same quarter in 2002. Sony s revenues fell by 6.9 per cent to ВҐ1.6 trillion for the... The electronics business division was split into four product groups, which produced a wide variety of products. The entertainment division, which consisted of the music group and the pictures group, made music videos and motion pictures. The finance division consisted of Sony s life insurance and finance business. The company s growth was propelled by the launch of innovative products and by its foray into the music and films business. Restructuring of electronics business (1994) Under Ohga s leadership, Sony witnessed negligible growth in sales during 1990 and 1994. Sales and operating revenues improved by only 2 per cent during that period. However, the net income and operating income registered a drastic fall of 87 per cent and 67 per cent respectively. Analysts felt that the stagnation in the electronics industry coupled with factors such as the recession in the Japanese economy and the appreciation of the yen against the dollar led to the deterioration in the company s performance. It was noticed that in the electronics business (see Table 3), the revenues of the video and audio equipment businesses were coming down or were at best stagnant, while the television and Others group were showing signs of improvement. The Others group, which consisted of technology intensive products such as computer products, video games,

This whole rivalry started in 1984 when the Clippers moved to L.A. The Clippers originally played their games in the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, while the Lakers were winning championships in the Forum. In their first matchup the Lakers won 108 103, and with that a crosstown rivalry was born the Associated Press wrote. While the Clippers were rebuilding, the Lakers had put together a super team dubbed Showtime. With Magic Johnson running the whole thing and 38 year old Kareem Abdul Jabbar in the post, and with that duo the Lakers won the championship in the 84 85 season. By 1986, the Lakers were still undefeated against the Clippers. Magic Johnson also won his first MVP award. In 1987, the Lakers won the The Finals again, winning their 4 title in franchise history, and their second since the Clippers moved to L.A. In the 1987 88 NBA season the Lakers won another Finals against the Detroit Pistons a.k.a the Bad Boys, going back to back. In 1992, the Clippers had their first winning season since 1978 79 and their first playoff appearance since 1976. • 42. Redemption In Pulp Fiction The movie Pulp Fiction by Quintin Tarantino is an unusual movie that shows a different side to the underground crime that happens in a city. Such as having it focus on the people that work for the mob boss instead of the victims. And even having the movie out of order plays a part. Both of these things also help create the form and content of the movie. The form being violence/unchronological order, and the content being redemption. The form, violence/out of order, affects the films content, redemption, in the way that the people that committed the acts of violence were able to redeem themselves or even redeem other people. And without the acts of redemption the acts of violence would have seem pointless and uncalled for. One of the first things that you... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One example is the robbers, whom we see Jules gives them a chance at redemption if they take what they have and just walk away. We do see them walk away but we don t see where they end up or if they decided to stop being robbers. Another example is the boxer, Butch. When he and his ex boss, Marcellus, are being held hostage and he had a chance to escape, he decided to go back and save Marcellus instead of leaving him to (presumably) die. This was his act of redemption but we don t see how he got on Marcellus s bad side in the first place or if his act of leaving the city was successful. Finally, in Pulp Fiction there are a lot of allusions and references to pop culture (what was popular back in that day and age), such as Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and many more. And both play a huge part in affecting the story because without them the movie would seem to scripted and stiff. But with them it comes out as more relatable and it flows smoothly. They also help with the form and content in the way that it makes some of the violent scenes seem more comical and the redemption scenes seem more significant. Everything plays a major role in this movie. Whether it s violence, redemption,
  • 43. Louis Le Vau And Claude Perrault s Curvilinear Design For... one that was a signature for associated with his name, which set the structure apart. Another major turning point for the French classicism design is when, Louis XIV rejected Giovanni Bernini s curvilinear design for the east facade of the Louvre in favor of Louis Le Vau and Claude Perrault s more classicizing design with its celebrated colonnade (1667 70) (Spicer, 2001). This decision set the French apart from the adopted form of Italian baroque, rejecting the exuberant behavior of common Italian practices during the time period. During the seventeenth century, the common practice for important building design was to include all prominent art forms in the research and development. We can see this happen in popular buildings such as the Louvre, where Louis Le Vauand Claude Perrault designed portions in unison. Arguably the most important building to come out of the mid seventeenth century is the Palace of Versaillesoutside of Paris. The designers Le Vau, Mansart, Le Brun, and Andre Le Notre all worked in conjunction to complete everything from the building design to the colossal gardens and fountains. Another notable feature of the early seventeenth century is the emergence of dignified, attractive city squares. A strong example of such square is the Palace of Vosges in Paris, constructed in the early seventeenth century, incorporated a King s house, Queen s house, and a handful of steeply pitched roofed buildings to form the square for festivities. Comparative Analysis of Adaptive Threshold Based Spectrum Sensing Techniques in Cognitive Radio Networks Abstract: In the last two decades, the number of wireless communication users and its applications increasing rapidly. With this rapid growth there exists spectrum scarcity. One of the best solutions to avoid spectrum scarcity is cognitive radio with its dynamic spectrum sensing. Cognitive radio is a promising technology, which is used to sense the unused spectrum in an appropriate manner. Various methods have been proposed in the past, such as energy detection, matched filter and so on [1 6 7]. Different techniques serve different purpose based on their advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, the author suggests an approach of dynamic threshold to increase the probability detection of spectrum sensing. Spectrum sensing using energy detection, matched filter detectors based on fixed threshold and dynamic threshold are simulated using MATLAB. The performance of energy detection, matched filter detector is compared by plotting probability detection versus signal to noise ratio graph. Keywords: Spectrum Sensing, Cognitive Radio, Wireless Communication, Energy Detection, Matched Filter, Probability Detection and Threshold. I. Introduction: The recent trend in cognitive radio related research has altered s great of deal of interest in spectrum sensing and detection of radio users in the environment [5]. In general, the spectrum user signals are categorized into primary
