Essays On Why I Want To Go To College
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Why I Want to Go to College" can be both challenging and
rewarding. On one hand, the topic requires introspection and thoughtful consideration of
personal goals, aspirations, and the significance of higher education. On the other hand, it
demands a delicate balance between self-expression and meeting the expectations of the
audience, usually an admissions committee.
To begin with, articulating one's motivations for pursuing a college education involves a deep
dive into personal experiences, future ambitions, and the perceived value of academic endeavors.
It requires the ability to convey these thoughts in a coherent and compelling manner. This task is
not merely about stringing together impressive words and phrases but about presenting a genuine
narrative that reflects the author's unique perspective.
Moreover, the challenge lies in avoiding clichГ©s and generic statements that may dilute the
essay's impact. Admissions officers read numerous essays on similar themes, and standing out
requires authenticity and originality. Crafting an essay that captivates the reader's attention and
leaves a lasting impression is no small feat.
Additionally, there's the pressure of adhering to the guidelines and expectations set by the
educational institution. Balancing creativity with structure, meeting word count requirements,
and addressing specific prompts add another layer of complexity to the writing process.
Despite these challenges, writing an essay on why one wants to go to college is an opportunity
for self-discovery and growth. It encourages individuals to reflect on their life journey, values,
and aspirations, fostering a deeper understanding of oneself.
In conclusion, tackling the task of articulating the reasons for wanting to go to college is a
multifaceted endeavor. It demands introspection, creativity, and the ability to navigate the fine
line between individual expression and meeting the expectations of the audience. While
challenging, the process of writing such an essay can be incredibly rewarding, allowing
individuals to articulate their dreams and ambitions on paper.

Informative Speech On Red Wine
Red wine is a type of alcoholic beverage that is made out of dark coloured grapes.
There are diverse varieties of wine like Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Madiran
and much more. The colour of red wine can range from violet to brown. There is
an estimated total of 100 countries that have wineries. One of which is the oldest
known winery in Armenia, a country near Georgia, Turkey and Iraq. You might
think that red wine is inadequate as it can get you intoxicated, which can then lead
to accidents, this is partially false. Firstly, you need to know how much to drink
per day, secondly, how and why red wine can alleviate your health and well being
and lastly, data and statistics that have been collected from around the globe.
There s a difference between getting intoxicated and having a beneficial amount.
According to many online sources, the recommended healthy daily intake of red
wine is approximately 150 millilitres. To be more specific, 1 1.5 glasses for women
and 1 2 glasses for men per day. Remember that other alcohol consumed adds up to
your total daily intake. They also recommended for those who do this to have at
least 1 2 days without consuming alcohol per week. Having this much wine per day
is called moderate or regular consumption. However, there are some hazardous
problems if you have a vast quantity of red wine or any kind of alcohol over the
recommended amount, such as addiction, depression, stroke and several types of
cancer. In addition to the issues that red

behind the development of this company in comparison to others. (Geely, 2014). It

Oresteia is a script whose story goes on by recalling Orestes lost memories. The main
idea which is prevalent throughout this story is about finding the truth hidden in the

the truth and the way to find it.

Argumentative Essay On The Iran Contra Scandal
I think the arms for hostage ordeal in Iran should have led to a further investigation
of the truth for the American people. It is unfortunate that it led to many people
being fired in Washington, a typical response from our government today. I do not
believe that Reagan should not have been impeached but should have been more
transparent on the Iran Contra Scandal. This ordeal led to further distrust in our
government and made people question Reagan s authenticity about keeping America
safe. The sex scandal involving president Clinton showed that a president would go
to great lengths to cover up a scandal, even if it meant lying under oath. For a short
time period the office of the presidency became a joke among many Americans, this

Summary Of My Poem By Billy Lucy
My poem tells the tale of my character, Lucy, and how she is off to fight a war in
place of her younger brother, Luis. She has an immense love for her younger
brothers, but they are all of fighting age and they have all been selected for the
draft. Lucy has a choice, as stated in one of the lines. To save one or save none. Of
course, she cannot prevent all of her brothers from going into the war, so she takes
the spot of Luis because he has created a life for himself already. Despite her Father
s pleas, Lucy ends up going through with her plan, and by the end of the poem, she
is off to fight in that aforementioned war. I used five examples of figurative
language, but the one that stuck out to me most was the very first bolded phrase,
The whispers of wind cuts its daggers into my skin, and with my goosebumps and
tremors, I did not think to give in. I input this line early on because it helps set the
tone for the entire poem. It gives the readers an apprehensive feel and even a bit of
concern for Lucy, as it states the wind is cutting into her skin, hard enough to hurt
her. Even though this is supposed to be weaken her, intimidate her, she does not
give in even though she is being visibly affected by the wind s daggers. Not only
that, but I set up this line in particular to hold a double meaning, to mimic Lucy s
dilemma of heading into a war despite knowing the repercussions. When I wrote the
whispers of wind cuts its daggers into my skin, I also thought about how
The Consequences Of Jutigment In Twelve Angry Men
In society, we have an obligation to our community to defend it by using judgment
to determine a person s innocence or guilt. It is a civic responsibility to make an
informed decision that is determined based on evidence to help come to a logical
conclusion. This essay argues that judgment in Twelve Angry Men is addressed by
the jurywho think rationally against a 16 year old kid facing the death sentence.
It looks at the gender and ethnicity of the jury and suggests that the environment the
jurors are placed in forwards their own judgment on themselves, making judgment
become an empathetic experience.
The placement of 12 men in a jury shows inconsistency towards female s input
upon what judgment should be made for the accused. Inserting 12 men together
only evokes testosterone against one another affecting their critical thinking and
causing drama. For Juror, 7 judgment is a fast process and is addressed in the
drama as Rose (121) states that, 7th Juror, Listen, I ll tell you something. I m a
little sick of this whole thing already. All this yakkin s gettin us nowhere so I m
going to break it up here. I m changing my vote to not guilty. 11th Juror, What kind
of man are you? You have sat here and voted guilty with everyone else because there
are some baseball tickets burning a hole in your pocket .
The drama is now directed away from the accused of murder and now towards Juror
7 that shows irony towards the relevance of importance. It is from the example above

Key Challenges Faced By Tata Motors
1.What are the key challenges faced by Tata Motors in the process of moving to
produce passenger cars from successfully producing commercial vehicles?
Ans: Tata Motors was a leading player in the segment of commercial vehicle market.
In 1954 Tata Motors in collaboration with Daimler Benz started manufacturing heavy
commercial vehicles like excavators and earth moving equipment s. When Japanese
firms Toyota, Mitsubishi and Nissan entered the Indian market through joint ventures
for manufacturing light motor vehicles, Tata Motors took this opportunity and
developed light motor vehicles (TATA 407, TATA 608, and TATA 709) that went
ahead of the Japanese firms due to low cost, adaptable to Indian road conditions and
good after sales service.
For extending their market Ratan Tata decided to manufacture small cars in

They are Hyundai Motor s Santro , Daewoo Motors Matiz and Fiat India Uno . There
was an effect on price sensitivity as people are ready to pay more for fuel efficient
cars.
In order to focus on the international car market they need to have world class
standards. They should be competent enough like managing the supply chain so that
they could integrate products and services both upstream and downstream
They should be able manage their alliances in a proper way to extend their market
globally without much using its resources.
The most challenging part is bringing the components together and integrating it with
the manufacturing operations since most of the automakers are doing away with
their business of assembling components.
Tata Motors have to take their decision whether to make or buy for the key inputs i.e,
design, engine and transmission.
Although different measures were taken by Tata Motors for their product design,
engines and transmission yet there were some
The Pantheon Research Paper
Architecture The Pantheon is from the Romanesque era. Originally, built as a
temple for the Romans, it is a massive structure that stands 142 feet tall and was
built in 126 AD. Made of marble, yet the dome is not reinforced and is made of
concrete. The massive Corinthian style columns really show its roman influence as
noted by the motifs of scrolls and leaves. The craftsman ship of the massive
building truly amazes me, how did the Romans build this? They surely did not have
the tools and equipment we have today. Yet, it still stands! The Stourhead Garden,
aesthetically pleasing to the eyes appears as a beautiful English garden with
architecture inspired from Italy. With its Neo classical style and roman influence, it
houses a smaller scale of the Pantheon on the property. By looking at the scale of the
miniature Pantheon, I would guess this was more for looks and not really used as
anything else but to create an image of relaxation/pleasure. It to, has the smaller scale

not like the other structures as mentioned above. The columns used on this house
seem to be more of Ionic order, slender fluted pillars. All three of the structures have
somewhat of a Romanesque design. The Monticello more modern day with a touch

religious background. The dome has an opening called the oculus that was believed
to allow the gods to keep an eye on their city. The Stourhead Garden was just

What Role Does The Satan Play In The Canterbury Tales
In Medieval Literature Satan was often used as a character. There was also more
evidence during this period of time. They were not that obvious unlike others but they
were there for sure. They were often symbolized in a certain character s and
personalities that they had throughout the Prologue. The characters were really
relatable to the characteristics of Satanhimself. Satan played a big role in The
Canterbury Tales with the Parson, Pardoner, and Summoned. IN the Prologue of
The Canterbury Tales, the Summoner is immediately characterized as Satan. He
is described as red face with big whelks which are pimples just used in another term
back then. In the book Chaucer says, There was a Summoner with us in the place
who had a fire red cherubinnish face (Chaucer line 642). Not only that but he
drinks and when he does , he doesn t care what is going on around him, According
to the text it says, And drinking strong wine till all was hazy , then he would shout
and jabber as if he s crazy (Chaucer line 653). The Summoner would also blackmail
everyone because he knew everybody s secrets and would threaten to expose them if
they didn t do what he would ask... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Rhetorical Analysis Of Martin Luther King Jr
Martin Luther King Jr and The Civil Rights Movement Martin Luther King Jr was a
protestor who became the most important spokesperson and leader in the Civil
Rights Movement. He was a member of the National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People(NAACP) and in 1954, he decided to take a position
as a preacher at Dexter Avenue Church in Montgomery, Alabama. King felt as though
it was his moral duty to help the civil rights movement which is why he planned
many activities that will help get his point across. Activities such as boycotts, sit in
protest, freedom rides, and many nonviolent protests, which led to his arrest in 1963.

In fact, this is not just effecting him, it is effecting everyone around the world. He
wants them to see that the results matter and that the civil rights movement was
founded in order to make a big change in history. This is why he was describing the
many brutal incidents throughout his letter that has been accruing to African
Americans to convince many that the way they are living is not fair or right.
Furthermore, King s letter not only covers ethos and pathos, but he also tries to
demonstrate the readers logic in their laws, which is logos. He mentions how they,
whites, are nervous and afraid of them because of what they are doing. For
instance, he writes, You express a great deal of anxiety over our willingness to
break laws ( ). Yet, many of them burn churches and homes of colored people, and
beat up non whites; these are all forms of law breaking activities. While King and
his fellow protesters are doing friendly nonviolent protest. He then defines Unjust
and Just laws to show others that their laws do not have a sense of logic and do not
follow the moral laws that were given to people at birth. A just law is a manmade
code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code
that is out of harmony with the moral law ( ). He is a pastor, so he would not use or

The Negro Digs Up His Past By Arthur Schomburg
The article The Negro Digs Up His Past by Arthur schomburg on 1925, elaborates
more on the struggles of slavery as well as how history tend to be in great need of
restoration through mindfully exploring on the past. The article, however started
with an interesting sentence which caught my attention, especially when the writer
says The American Negro must remark his past in order to make his future (670).
This statement according the writer, explains how slavery took away the great deal
freedom from people of African descendant, through emancipation and also increase
in diversity. The writer (Arthur Schomburg) however, asserts that the negro has been
throughout the centuries of controversy an active collaborator, and often a pioneer, in
the struggle for his own freedom and advancement (670). In other words, this tend to
take a great vast amount of time for the society to understand the great importance of
intelligence people of African descendant, who tend to be capable of, just as any
other ethics group, alternatively, for many centuries this has not be recognized
because of the fact that the continuation of hatred and segregation flourished
continually not until current decades, thereby, causing a standstill to the the
advancement of the Africans. It is observed that the historical happenings have a
great negativity on the face of the society, which is yet to be fixed. And so, the belief

Difference Between Financial Accounting And Cost
Accounting
(iv)Financial Accounting versus Cost Accounting
To understand the concept of cost accounting to the core, it is important to recognise
initially as to what makes cost accounting different from financial accounting.
The major differences between financial accounting and cost accounting are as
follows:
Basis of DistinctionFinancial AccountingCost Accounting
ObjectiveThe objective of financial accounting is to provide information about the
overall financial position and performance of the business organisation. The objective
of cost accounting is to ascertain cost of any particular product or service or activity.
Cost accounting aims at cost controlling and provides information in decision making

Outsiders usually do not have any access to cost records.
Type of information recordedFinancial accounts record only monetary
information.Cost accounts record both financial and non financial information.
Analysis of profitIn financial accounting, profit is disclosed for the whole business. In
cost accounting, profitability is shown for every process, product or operation for
revealing the areas of profitability.
Table 1.1.1: fFinancial aAccounting versus Ccost Accounting
Despite the above differences, both financial and cost accounting work in
agreement and provide the desired data to the organisations. Determination of value
of stock and cost of goods sold is done in cost accounting. This value of stock and
cost of goods sold is used for determining the gross profit, which is a part of financial
accounts. In addition, a financial accountant receives a lot of data from a cost
accountant for the preparation of financial reports. Thus, despite of the differences,
both cost accounting and financial accounting facilitate each other in meeting the
overall goal of the organisation.

A Montage Of Othello And Desdemona s Relationship

A Montage of Othello and Desdemona s Relationship.
We find that the hardest part of life can be the one that is the most common in every
person s life. Commitment has been a word that can be tossed around in relationships,
with the vulnerable ring to it; that pursuit of something better can feel lost in even the
most stable relationships.
We find that Othello and Desdemona are not lovers. Desdemona is a bare projection
for Othello s own inability to develop self esteem and overcoming self alienation,
which increases the potential of his immeasurable self hatred. There is indifference,
speechlessness, inability to communicate with quirky, infantile and confused
character between the two. He wears this cloth, Othello s love token, Othello s body
veil, which he gives away, thus exposing himself to Desdemona and before the
whole world. More specifically, the veil and Desdemona, because both are
synonymous, and such the same thing, that they symbolize infidelity. The cloth is
given by Othello as a pledge of his love to Desdemona. He also pleaded his love for
her when he says,Come, My dear love,The purchase made, the fruits are to ensue; The
profit s yet to come tween me and you. Goodnight. (2.3.9 13). Othello s cloth, an
heirloom, not only of his family, but an heirloom of mankind since its inception. An
artifact of constant existential importance, artfully preserved with the help of young
women s hearts. The cloth
Organic Vs Non-Organic Foods
While we all love food and it s a necessity to live there are now two categories of
food. Organic and non organic, this can be any food from meats to dairy to fruits
and so on just about everything today can be put to one side or the other. Through
the use of evidence and explanations, the difference between organic and non
organic will be shown in depth providing for a decision to be made between the
two. There are many food groups that can be divided between non organic and
organic foods the two that will be discussed today are meats and vegetables or
fruits. Organic meats are any animals that aren t fed modified food. This means
that animals such as cows, pigs, and even chickens are given food like grass and
hay. This in order to be considered organic the animals must be able to live and
walk among outdoors(Robinson, Segal 4). The food for the animals is also treated
with natural methods to prevent diseases(Robinson, Segal 4). The main reason that
people steer away from organic is the price compared to non organic is more. In
fact, the organic meat can cost more than 70% more than non organic meats(Marks
14). Now let s talk about non organic meat which has many differences compared to
organic. The way organic meat is raised is different because it can be raised outdoors
or inside crammed together with thousands of other animals(Robinson, Segal 4). The
feeding of non organic can involve growth hormones which allow the animals to
grow faster. Genetically Modified

Whale Rider Figurative Language
Witi Ihimaera uses figurative language to do many things within The Whale Rider.
Ihimaera establishes the narrators cultural point of view by using Imagery,
metaphors, personification and other figurative language. He uses Imagery to
describe the culture of the characters, the appearance of the characters and the
different scenes within the book. In the beginning of the book in chapter 2, he
describes a herd of whales. He describes where they ve migrated from, the
background of the ancient bull, and much more about the whales herd. Ihimaera is
also telling the story of the ancient bull meeting the leader of the Maori tribe, and
the rest of the time after that. In chapter 2 on pg. 12 the narrator says, His Mother

Essay on Audit Proposal
Audit Proposal Kudler Fine Foods Previously Kudler Fine Foods had asked
accounting firm 123 Accounting for their recommendation on a system which would
improve automation in their business processes. Accounting firm 123 Accounting
provided Kudler with a recommended course of action to take towards automating
their accounting information system, as well as provided a flowchart to assist in
describing the process by which the software will help management consolidate their
financial data. Currently Kudler is asking accounting firm 123 Accounting for a
proposal for auditschedules for the systems previously mentioned. This report will
briefly outline an audit proposal, from 123 Accounting , on the previously analyzed
systems to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From these two recommendations alone, and since Kudler is not a particularly large
company (all of their business processes are handled internally), only three of the
four different types of IT audits should be used to audit the business processes.
Payroll/AP/AR
Many companies choose to outsource many of their payroll/AP/AR functions to an
outside company. Because of this, an SAS 70 audit is needed to ensure that the
outside company that is performing these services is following the correct guidelines
and that their computer systems are up to date and up to standards. Kudler, however,
takes care of everything internally and does not utilize an outside company for these
functions. Because of this, only attestation and an SAS 94 audit would be utilized for
each department. A data analytical review (attestation) would be required to ensure
that the numbers are reasonable and an SAS 94 audit would ensure the physical and
logical security of the business functions.
Inventory
Kudler s inventory department would differ from the other departments in that it
would require a compliance review as well as a data analytical review and an SAS
94 audit. Besides the fact that the computer systems needed for inventory have to be
tested for physical and logical control, and the inventory data needs to be tested for
correctness, the physical stock room needs to be in compliance with OSHA
regulations. If it is not, employees could be risking serious injury
How Beneficial Is Owning A Pet
The general well being and overall state of happiness plays a significant role in the
lives of humans every single day. For a psychologist especially, it is more than
important to take note of a client s well being, happiness, and overall mood.
Referring specifically to elders, they often have the tendency to feel lonely or
disconnected to others the older that they get. Although there are multiple ways for
elders to improve their happinesssuch as exercising, surrounding themselves with
people that make them happy, having a well balanced diet or getting good sleep,
there are other important factors that we often forget to take note of. As well as this,
as humanbeings we often find ourselves creating bonds, or attachments with other
people or even certain hobbies. We even crave the feeling, want or need of support
from others that we often strive to look for and end up lacking to find. Although
there is some focus on it, it is important to note just how beneficial owning a petcan
be and how much of an impact it can create towards your own happiness as an elder
in this world today, while also being the solution to many of these studies mentioned.
Sharkin and Knox (2003) reviewed the subject of pet loss and issues and
implications for the psychologist. They focus on the importance of psychologists to
understand how significant pets can be in the lives of their clients. When referring
to the effect of pet loss on older people specifically in this research paper, it is noted
Benefits And Benefits Of Social Security
In Bonnie Smith Yackel s essay My Mother Never Worked she passionately
defends her mother after Social Security refuses to grant her death benefit check.
Yackel does not realize that Social Security fairly distributes benefits to contributing
Americans. Social Security was reasonable to not granting benefits to a woman
who never contributed as a wage earner. Hence it would not be fair if benefits are
granted to a fraud who never paid wage taxes compared to wage earners who do.
Americans who abuse Social Security benefits by committing fraud is unethical and
not to mention illegal. Americans that are in desperate need for Social Security
benefits require it far more than frauds. By eliminating fraud the governmentcan
properly grant social benefits to hard working Americans. Social Security benefits
should be permitted to Americans that work and provide back to their country or they
are disabled. Also, hard working citizens that pay their duties will receive back from
benefits, including employees that are qualified as disabled. Benefits should not be
granted to any citizen that makes no contribution to their country such as, tax
deductions from their wages. Furthermore, Social Security needs to reach out to the
majority which is the povertystricken. By informing the impecunious or immigrants
of Social Security it could save them from the misfortune of poverty. Even though,
Social Security relieves some citizens from a financial burden there are still many
improvements to be
Nietzsche Genealogy Of Morals
What are morals? Are they a certain thing that have to be done or a thing that is
learned? Are they going to be something that we use in good or bad times?
According to the dictionary morals is defined as relating to, or concerned with the
principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong. Simply
this means that your right of conduct is ethical. It is also stated that morals are
founded on the fundamental principles of right conduct rather than legalities or
custom. So what is Nietzsche: Genealogy of Morals going to tell us about these
morals that will show us that what we do is more about those humanly principles
rather than legal principle?
Nietzsche: Genealogy of Morals is consisted of 3 essays about morals. I will be
talking and summarizing the first essay that he wrote for the Genealogy of Morals.
Nietzsche expresses his dissatisfaction with certain English psychologists. He s not
too happy with them because they try to explain the origin or morality and claim to be
historians of such but they do not have the historical spirit. He states that their
theories are suggestive to the fact people use to benefit from unegoistic actions of
others. These same genealogists suggest that we have gone away from this type of
morality and truly forgot all about ourselves. As the readings continue it is
determined that Nietzsche does not agree with this because those who say goodness
was shown could not and did not define good. People only see
Sympathetic Ophthalmia
In Rogers v Whitaker, Mrs Whitaker become almost totally blind in her left eye as
a result of a condition known as sympathetic ophthalmia, after a surgery conducted
on her right eye. The surgery was not conducted negligently although the sight of
her right eye did not improve. The plaintiff s allegation was grounded on the
defendant s failure to advise her of the risk of sympathetic ophthalmia, which
resulted in her condition. There was a 1:14000 chance of the condition developing
in this case and the patient had repeatedly asked the doctor of possible
complications, including the danger of unintended or accidental interference with
her good left eye. The doctor did not warn her of sympathetic ophthalmia as it was
not a risk which came into his mind. The body of medical opinion prevailing at the
time was that the risk ought to have been disclosed to her if she had specifically
asked if her good eye would... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The issue is not whether the doctor in question conformed with the practice of a
responsible body of the medical profession, but whether his conduct conforms with
the standard of care demanded by the law. Secondly, the question of whether a patient
has been given sufficient information to consent to treatment does not generally
depend on medical practices. Lord Scanman s dissenting opinion in Sidaway v
Governors of Bethlem Royal Hospital , rejecting the application of the Bolam
principle to cases concerned with warning of risks inherent in a particular treatment,
is the correct view. Factors to be taken into account by a medical practitioner when
deciding how much information to give to a patient about a particular treatment

Desiccant Experiment
When I used to work at EDI, the factory where we make drug testing kits, there was
an accident with a packing/pouching machine. There was a girl who was pouching,
and was putting devices on the conveyer belt. On each machine for packing
/pouching, there is a desiccant machine as well. That machine cuts a single
desiccant from the roll to go in each pouch with the device. The desiccant machine
was on, but was not spitting out any desiccants. The girl who was pouching saw
that there was a desiccant stuck, so she stuck her finger up by the blade to get it
out. As a result of that, part of her finger was cut off. The task that she was doing
was partially what she needed to do. To remove the stuck desiccant, you have to grab
it from the area where
Payless Shoes Research Paper
As much as I love fashionable clothing, truth be told that it is the accessories that

so that I own shoes that I don t wear! Tragic, I know. Living in Springfield, I don t

I like simple colors and patterns, and I m not huge on belts, scarves or a lot of
jewelry. The one thing that I really enjoy though, are shoes. Shoes, I honestly
believe, are a girl s best friend. I know, I know, most people say diamonds are. But,
diamonds are usually given. Shoes, on the other hand, you can buy yourself.
Diamonds are expensive. Shoes don t have to be. Those are just a few quick reasons
why shoes are a must have accessory for me. Here s a couple more. Shoes can make
or break an outfit. I firmly believe this. For instance, today I wore a pair of plaid
pants and a black shirt. But my shoes were 3 inch black heels with a ruffle. And I m
pretty sure that s all anyone noticed about my outfit. Now I debated between those
and a pair of bright yellow sandals. I chose the heel because they were more
dramatic, which makes an outfit. If I had worn something else, it would have been a
completely boring outfit, but the shoes made it an interesting one. Shoes can express
who you are. I work in an office, where the norm is business casual. Which is nice,
but sometimes you want to dress it up a little bit. But, in an office full of business
casual people, you don t want to show up and be completely overdressed or dressed
inappropriately. The way I fix this is by wearing a pair of bright red heels or a pair
of ruffled heels. They are fancy, but not over the top. They dress up an outfit without
changing it

Reaction on Modern Greek Mythology
Modern Greek mythology is one of the finest arts you can find in the 21st century,
it has been the point where students and scholars study it in order to have a good
look at its beauty and popularity. Greek mythology in the modern times had
influenced people so much that it became somewhat of a lifestyle where people adapt
the way the gods and goddesses look and act based on books and stories from the
past. We can tell that people use Greek designs as well on drawing up plans for
buildings as well as interior and exterior design.
Thousands of years have passed since the creation of these stories and up until today,
people still admire its beauty and uniqueness through fashion and design. Also, it
peeks our curiosity on how people back then have created such art that scholars until
today still can t find solid proof on how it all
Educational Implications Of The Educational System
Educational Complications Ahead Internationally, the United States is ranked 14th in
educational performance out of 40 countries but statistically one students out of three
fails to graduate. 9th in technology innovation but leads to many distractions and
errors. There are many significant problems with today s educational system that
decline from three major problems: high rates poverty, advancement in technology
and bias in culture. This hinders students maximum ability to obtain and learn quality
mat
One of the biggest problems in today s educational system is poverty. Even since the
beginning of time only wealth and elite families could be educated. So of course
students in wealthier education districts have a greater advantage over students that
don t. This due to the ability to afford better educational resources and necessary
tools. Georgia has a poverty rate of 17.4% with a graduation rate of 71.5%; the
national poverty rate is 14.9% with an 80% graduation rate. Its obvious that there
is a big correlation between poverty and education. Citizen with higher family
incomes often have more scholarly aspects such as higher test scores and higher
iQs . While students with lower family incomes do not. Less fortunate often have
more adult troubles to face in life such as: how is my family going to pay bills,
where is my next meal is coming from, how am I going to be successful in
technology based education systems without the necessary tools. Poverty and
No Kill Policy Essay
Results from a nationally conducted survey show that ninety six percent of
Americans agree that society carries the obligation of caring for and protecting
animal companions ( Dollars and Sense 2). This public outcry for better pet treatment

question of whether or not shelters in Ohio should adopt a no kill policy or stand by
the old euthanasia philosophy. Supporters of kill shelters complain that the

Advocates of kill shelters often complain that no kill shelters are a hindrance due to
excessive dependence on volunteers and funds and the risk they bring of pet
overpopulation. In reality, no kill shelters work avidly to mitigate the chance of
overpopulation through desexing animals, encouraging adoption, and using foster
homes; additionally, these shelters only use euthanasia as a final recourse unlike kill
shelters that use it as the primary method. Moreover, shelters that adopt the no kill
policy provide more economic benefits than their adversaries because they use less
expensive methods of care, bring in revenue through adoption, and use more
volunteers than employees. Most American citizens agree that saving and caring for
animals is an important goal; in order to complete this mission, Ohio shelters should

Themes In A Visit From The Goon Squad
It is said that a man can never walk into the same river twice, not because the river
is changing that after all is inevitable but because the man will never be the same
man as he once was. Time, like a river flows in a set direction and once past no
amount of nostalgia is capable of reversing its course. Just as it is impossible to
reverse the passageof time, it is impossible to retain a past identity. Jennifer Egans
novel, a Visit from the Goon Squad, is a collection of short stories that each have a
distinct voice and style. Although each chapter can stand alone, they are bound
together by thematic elements and a complex web of relationships centered around
Bennie Salazar a music executive and his assistant Sasha. In this passage Egan s
fifth narrator, Jocelyn, a recovering drug addict and a childhood friend of Bennie
Salazar, returns to the Los Angeles home of her teenage love interest, Lou,a man old
enough to be her father who drove her into adapting the sex, drugs and rock and roll
lifestyle. With Lou on his deathbed, the now forty three year old Jocelyn reunites
with Rhea, another high school friend, and ponders the impact that time has had on
their lives. This passage suggests the destructiveness of time on characters and
relationships. Using setting, word choice, and personificationEgan presents time as
truly being a goon.
To start, Egan employs setting to reveal the separation time has created between
characters and the characters and their former
Application Of The Library Management System
Abstract The Library management system is the application software that is
developed to make a record of Book purchasing, book searching, book issuing and
rent, book returned, catalogs, stock creation, all other fine books, popular and
bestsellers and other Library related works. The aim of the project is to make the
manual handling of Library system into computerized system which includes all
above features. The scope of this software application is to generate the automatic
process of manual handling of Library records and to handle the stock as well as
book issues related information. Maintaining records of application for estates, the

Essay The Importance of Plants
Humans depend on plants in numerous ways. One reason we depend on plants is for
consumption. Plants have the unique ability of producing their own food through a
process called photosynthesis. In this process, plants are able to produce
macromolecules such as carbohydrates that cannot be produced in animals or
humans. In humans, the only to gain these macromolecules is to consume plant
matter, or consume plant eating animals (herbivores).
When humans consume plants, the carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins that are
broken down through two forms of cellular respiration. The two processes of
cellular respiration displayed in humans are anaerobic or aerobic. The deciding
process used depends on the presence of oxygen. Cellular respiration ... Show more

This means that humans not only need plants for eating, but also need their created
oxygen to break the food down efficiently.
In humans, cellular respiration also produces heat also needed in the body for
thermoregulation, Thermoregulation that is an example of temperature homeostasis
in humans, requires heat energy to maintain a relatively constant internal temperature.
All the heat energy that is needed for survival would not exist without plants.
Water is also a requirement in humans, and is needed for the body to balance fluid
through osmoregulation. By consuming plants, the water that they contain will also
be transferred to the consumer. An example of this could be in the consumption of
coconuts. Coconuts usually contain a good supply of water. The water found in
young coconuts contains electrolytes and a pH level similar to human blood. This
could be beneficial by providing fast hydration and are normally found in warm
tropical climates where hydration is a major concern.
Other then being used for consumption, plants also provide shelter from the
environment. Trees provide shade, which creates a cooler temperature that helps
prevent dehydration. They also provide fruit and shelter for animals for human
consumption. Trees are also cut up into wood for building houses and making tools
needed for hunting and protection from predators. Humans have an advantage over
animals because of our greater intelligence that permitted the discovery of tools.

In the short stories A P by John Updike and Where Are You Going, Where Have
You Been? by Joyce Carol Oates, both authors tell of story of transitioning from
childhood to adulthood. Sammy, from Updike s story, is a nineteen year old boy
whose parents got him a job as a cashier at the local A P. Connie, from Oates story,
is a pretty, blonde, fifteen year old girl who has an almost narcissistic attitude as
she has a habit of constantly checking herself and comparing herself to others. Both
of these teenagers are in the similar position of growing up, however, they are
doing so in very different ways. Sammy faces the decision of staying at his job or

Adult Learning Style
Learning style is an individual s unique approach to learning based on strengths,
weaknesses, and preferences.
We can use most of our senses to learn. Ears, eyes, nose and tongue can be used in
combination or individually to learn new things every day. We should develop that
part of our sensory system so that we learn faster, retain more knowledge and make
better decisions. You can be the sort of learner who will read everything many
times and force yourself to retain this information or be the one who will only be
able to recollect the information if someone relates it to them. Some people are even
able to use imagery to cause a stimulated response to memory and recollect them.

If you can develop your skills in this area you can significantly reduce time spent
learning and absorbing information. Look for opportunities to learn through audio
visual presentations (such as CD ROM and Webcasts.) When making notes, group
information according to concepts and then create visual links with arrows going to
and from them. Take every opportunity you can to create charts and tables and
diagrams.
Active Learners: if you act before you think you are apt to make hasty and potentially
ill informed judgments. You need to concentrate on summarizing situations, and
taking time to sit by yourself to digest information you have been given before
jumping in and discussing it with others.
Reflective Learners: if you think too much you risk doing nothing. There comes a
time when a decision has to be made or an action taken. Involve yourself in group
decision making whenever possible and try to apply the information you have in as
practical a manner as

Racial Barriers in Grace Paley s Short Story Samuel Essay
Racial Barriers in Grace Paley s Short Story Samuel
It is hard to distinguish the difference between which race is more important. One
might ask themselves if white is superior over colored skin. There have been
numerous struggles and much success in the fight towards equality between the
races. Although many large steps have been made, there are still existing racial
barriers. One particular struggle is whether or not people of different races should
interact with each other. Should Caucasian adults interact with young children of
color? A question that becomes especially critical when children are putting
themselves in potentially dangerous situations. This moral debate is portrayed in

In the short story, Two men and others looked at the four boys jumping and jiggling
on the platform and thought, It must be fun to ride that way (191). Men normally
have influence to control dangerous situations and instead of using this power to
persuade the boys to come into a safe place, they allow the children to continue to
endanger their lives. The women on the train became very angry when they look at
the four boys. Most of them brought their brows together hoping the boys would see
their extreme disapproval (191).
In the story, one woman in the subway car saw that three of the boys were Negroes
and the fourth was something else she couldn t tell for sure. She was afraid that
they would be fresh and laugh at her and embarrass her (191). It seems that the
women are scared of even confronting the barrier that separates her from the
children. The racial wall is so intimidating to the women that all they could do is sit
and watch the young boys in fear of their safety.
As time passed, the racial begun to slowly deteriorate. Sometimes, motherly instincts
will overcome anything, and in this case it is to persuade the women to stand up to
the children. The lady who was afraid of embarrassment saw the boys jerk forward
and backwards and grab the swinging guard chains...She stood up with determination
and went to the door (191). Allowing her maternal
Paul Cantrell Piano Technique
The credit for this worthy technique is due to Paul Cantrell. Place a large
diaphragm cardioid mic (like the Sterling Audio ST66) at the hip of the piano. It
should be peering inside the lid, which will be open only a few inches. Next, place a
small diaphragm cardioid condenser mic (such as the Applied Microphone
Technology M40) on the back of the music desk pointed over top of the bass strings
and to the far end of the piano. The M40 will pick up the bass sounds while the ST66
will contribute a brighter element to the sound. Note that the slightly opened lid is a
critical part of this technique.

means earth which contains the mankind; and the science which treats the means of
acquiring and maintaining the earth is Arthashastra, the Science of Polity. The book
Arthashastra has been further divided into 15 Books, 150 chapters, 180 sections, and

Duties towards the harem mainly described the construction of the harem which
has to be protected from fire, insects, animals as well as enemies. Kautilya takes
full measures to secure the harem of the king as it is supposed to be the best
possible place for the king to hide at a time of danger. The king can get his personal
chamber located in the midst of the harem. Also Kautilya takes full care to check
the purity of the queen as well as all the women living in the harem. The harem
should primarily consist of separate chambers for all, a bath, secret passages made
into the walls, underground chambers with the idols of goddesses, with large
number of passages made in the walls and their staircases inside the pillars so that it
gives easy roots to esc ape. The whole building is created with superior mechanical

John Wesley s Practices And Beliefs
God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train
everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in
the threefold name: Father, Son and Holy Spirit Matthew 28:18 20 (The Message)
As one who came to the Methodist tradition later in her journey, I am very
appreciative as to the origins of John Wesley s practices and beliefs. I am proud of
the fact that we have been the first tradition to ordain women in the ministry as
well as the first to focus on assisting everyday people and those on the margins. But
even more importantly, just as the Methodists of old spoke viscerally against
slavery the still intact systematic racism needs to be addressed by the church as
well. As we read the above text, it states to go out and train everyone, not just some
or those who are all white. Again, it is important we learn from our past to create a
healthier future. Similarly, as purposefully as our first Methodist fathers and mothers
fought the establishment that supported slavery, we missed a golden opportunity
when we insisted on segregating our congregations. Because of our ignorance and
fear, the new Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church (later to be the AME) was
created by Bishop Richard Allen in response to racial injustices within the walls of St.
Georges Methodist Episcopal church. The African Methodist Episcopal Church has a
unique history as it is the first major religious denomination in the western world that

Macbeth Power Relations
Macbeth Essay
Jess Ireson
William Shakespeare s famous play Macbeth both reflects and challenges power
relations in the context of the seventeenth century. The play centres round the
character Macbeth, who is brave, ambitious and has a tendency to self doubt, and
becomes a murderer due to his lust for power. The play focuses on Macbeth s psyche
and his downfall, yet it also portrays a variety of power relations. The relationship
between men and women is represented by Macbeth and Lady Macbeth s
relationship, and the constant change in gender roles. The theme of masculinity is
common throughout the play, which is portrayed through contrasting views on
gender. Another power relation in Macbeth is the relationship between a king and his

Macbeth tells the audience why he doesn t want to kill Duncan, as he is Duncan s
subject and host so he should protect him from danger and not bear the knife
myself . However he tells Lady Macbeth a different reason, which is that Duncan
has given him new honours and he wants to enjoy the golden opinions . He may be
concerned about how Lady Macbeth thinks of him and his masculinity as she
displays more masculine traits. Lady Macbeth responds with harsh words,
attacking his self esteem and his manliness. She goads him by questioning his
manhood, which is repeated throughout the play, whenever Macbeth shows signs
of faltering, Lady Macbeth always implies that he is less than a man. Lady
Macbeth calls Macbeth a coward, in which he replies I dare do all that may
become a man; Who dares do more is none . She says that when Macbeth made the
promise to kill Duncan, he was a man, What beast was t then that made you break
this enterprise to me? When you durst do it, then you were a man . Lady Macbeth
again uses strong imagery when she says if she had sworn to act, she would not have
backed down, but rather have plucked my nipple from his boneless gums and dashed
the brains out . Lady Macbeth defies her womanly/motherly traits, which challenges a
woman s role in society in the 17th century, as she would have been expected to be a
nurturing mother. The uncertain tone and gentle imagery of Macbeth s soliloquy,
contrasts with the strong rhythms
Teen Pregnancy

WORLD POPULATION DAY 11 JULY 2008
Young People and Family Planning: Teenage Pregnancy
DEFINITION Teenage pregnancy is defined as a teenage girl, usually within the
ages of 13 19, becoming pregnant. The term in everyday speech usually refers to
girls who have not reached legal adulthood, which varies across the world, who

TEEN PREGNANCY: STIs, HIV AND AIDS
As a result of unprotected sex, young people are also at risk of sexually transmitted
diseases and HIV infection. The highest rates of STIs worldwide are among young
people aged 15 to 24. Some 500,000 become infected daily (excluding HIV). Two
in five new HIV infections globally occur in young people aged 15 to 24. Surveys
from 40 countries show that more than half their young people have misconceptions
about how HIV is transmitted. Married adolescent girls generally are unable to
negotiate condom use or to refuse sexual relations. They are often married to older
men with more sexual experience, which puts them at risk of contracting STIs,
including HIV.
FAMILYPLANNING AND YOUNG PEOPLE: CHALLENGES
Many societies, including in Malaysia, disapprove of premarital sex. As a result,
young people have limited or no access to education and information on reproductive
sexual health care. Modern contraceptive use among adolescents is generally low, and
decreases with economic status. Fewer than 5% of the poorest young use modern
contraception. Young women consistently report less contraceptive usage than men,
evidence of their unequal power in negotiating safer sex or restrictions on their
access to services (such as lack of information, shame, laws, health provider attitudes
and practices, or social
Birth Order and Personality
Birth Order s Effect on Personality
Birth Order s Effect on Personality
Environment determines to some extent the personality of a person. There are
numerous factors in the environment which could determine variations in the
personalities of different individuals. There are factors which are inherent to the
environment and there are those determined by the manner by which individuals
enter into a particular environment. In much the same way, how an infant s entrance
into the world determines in large part how parents and others will respond. In this
paper particular view will be taken on the matter of timing that an infant is born.
When an infant is born determines in large part the emotions of his or her parents and

The distinguishing characteristic of Adler s theory is the marked power struggle
between siblings. Personality thus becomes a concept strongly influenced by a basic
urge for attention and respect. At a young age, these same goals are gained from
parents the struggle extends to adulthood as common relations and peers.
Frank Sulloway
For a period, birth order was refuted and phased out from serious study. However,
as a result of Sulloway s release of his own studies, birth order theories gained
respect once again (Paulhus, Trapnell, Chen, 1999). Frank Sulloway follows Adler s
theory in the sense that he also believed sibling differences attributed to birth order
resulted from competition between siblings. Sulloway (1996) held that siblings
utilize differences in size and strength to overpower younger siblings. These younger
siblings in turn resorted to counterstrategies in order to hold their ground against
older siblings. Such a discussion is certainly reminiscent to Adler s own speculations.
However, Sulloway s studies brought in a new dimension to the study of birth order.
It was through his research that the Big Five Personality traits, namely Openness,
Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism, were introduced
into the study (Sulloway, 2001). Data was gathered reflecting the personality
dispositions of individuals based on birth order. This served to give credibility to this
particular area of
Becoming An Early Childhood Teacher
Introduction
An educator is vital to have their own teaching and learning philosophy, a personal
learning philosophy is the elements, belief and the pedagogy for the educator in the
teaching field(Soccorsi,2013). The changes of your teaching philosophy will changed
through the studies of your course, teaching experiences and career. In this essay, it
has separated into three part, the first part is to explain what has influenced me to
become an early childhood teacher. The second part is to explain the situation of
early childhood education in Australia today. The last part is going to explain my
philosophy and provide some support evidences.
Why I want to become an early childhood teacher?
There are two people that influenced me to become a early childhood teacher, one
is Miss.Huang and the other is Eason. When I was small, I have studied in 2
different kindergartens, I have left the first kindergarten due to the removal of the
kindergarten, and I have to move the second kindergarten. I still remember in my
first few month studying in kindergarten, I kept crying every day when I have to
leave my parents and study in the kindergarten, I was scared of adapting new
environment and get to know new teacher. However, Miss.Huang in the kindergarten
treated me really well, she is kind and paid a lot of effort and patience to help me
adapt the environment and teach me the rules in this kindergarten. At last
Miss.Huang has build a reciprocal relationship with me by helping me to
Arguments Against Capitalism
Capitalism is defined as an economic and political system in which a country s trade
and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state. Base
on the reading and the fading of the word freedom in the background, the term
Capitalism is portrayed in a negative light affecting its connotation. I comprehend that
the private sector is recognized as a critical driver of economic growth, which
contributes significantly to poverty reduction and higher living standards for poor
people, Although, the fading of the word freedom emphasizes that capitalism,
controlled by private sectors who provides majority of jobs to Americans, contradicts
its representation of the free enterprise system. The tone of the photograph could be
described as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This type of argument is evident in the picture because it ridicules the term freedom
with our rights by placing it as a faded concept in the background, meanwhile
emphasizing on the word Capitalism. I agree with the pictures intent to question
capitalism due to the fact that capitalism is a system based on the principle of
individual rights, and the free market, known as the system of Laissez faire. The
picture most appropriately responds to the first question of the Stasis Theory which
state, Did something happened? The choice of words used by the author created a
sarcastic tone resulting in the reader wondering if something happened. The question
responds correctly to the statement because it causes one to question and
acknowledge that capitalism represents the free market, the principle of individual
rights, and the system of Laissez faire, therefore, the word freedom being faded in the
background demean the value and importance of the word when the term capitalism
represents similar ideals and/or

The value to the customer is the benefit derived by the consumers from a product
in exchange of money or cost paid by the customers for the product; it is in
accordance with the customer perspective of value. In 1986, Park, MacInnis and
Jawarski came up with a theory on customer value and revealed that there are three
needs of customers that can be fulfilled by delivering value to them. The three needs
highlighted by Park, MacInnis and Jawarski (1986) were functional, experiential and
symbolic needs. The basic needs related to the problems of consumers are functional
needs; the needs of pleasure, emotions and excitement is related to experiential
needs; and needs related to maintaining social status in society for self satisfaction
and achieving higher status in society is related to symbolic needs (Shanker, 2012).

  • 5. Argumentative Essay On The Iran Contra Scandal I think the arms for hostage ordeal in Iran should have led to a further investigation of the truth for the American people. It is unfortunate that it led to many people being fired in Washington, a typical response from our government today. I do not believe that Reagan should not have been impeached but should have been more transparent on the Iran Contra Scandal. This ordeal led to further distrust in our government and made people question Reagan s authenticity about keeping America safe. The sex scandal involving president Clinton showed that a president would go to great lengths to cover up a scandal, even if it meant lying under oath. For a short time period the office of the presidency became a joke among many Americans, this event

  • 7. Summary Of My Poem By Billy Lucy My poem tells the tale of my character, Lucy, and how she is off to fight a war in place of her younger brother, Luis. She has an immense love for her younger brothers, but they are all of fighting age and they have all been selected for the draft. Lucy has a choice, as stated in one of the lines. To save one or save none. Of course, she cannot prevent all of her brothers from going into the war, so she takes the spot of Luis because he has created a life for himself already. Despite her Father s pleas, Lucy ends up going through with her plan, and by the end of the poem, she is off to fight in that aforementioned war. I used five examples of figurative language, but the one that stuck out to me most was the very first bolded phrase, The whispers of wind cuts its daggers into my skin, and with my goosebumps and tremors, I did not think to give in. I input this line early on because it helps set the tone for the entire poem. It gives the readers an apprehensive feel and even a bit of concern for Lucy, as it states the wind is cutting into her skin, hard enough to hurt her. Even though this is supposed to be weaken her, intimidate her, she does not give in even though she is being visibly affected by the wind s daggers. Not only that, but I set up this line in particular to hold a double meaning, to mimic Lucy s dilemma of heading into a war despite knowing the repercussions. When I wrote the whispers of wind cuts its daggers into my skin, I also thought about how
  • 8. The Consequences Of Jutigment In Twelve Angry Men In society, we have an obligation to our community to defend it by using judgment to determine a person s innocence or guilt. It is a civic responsibility to make an informed decision that is determined based on evidence to help come to a logical conclusion. This essay argues that judgment in Twelve Angry Men is addressed by the jurywho think rationally against a 16 year old kid facing the death sentence. It looks at the gender and ethnicity of the jury and suggests that the environment the jurors are placed in forwards their own judgment on themselves, making judgment become an empathetic experience. The placement of 12 men in a jury shows inconsistency towards female s input upon what judgment should be made for the accused. Inserting 12 men together only evokes testosterone against one another affecting their critical thinking and causing drama. For Juror, 7 judgment is a fast process and is addressed in the drama as Rose (121) states that, 7th Juror, Listen, I ll tell you something. I m a little sick of this whole thing already. All this yakkin s gettin us nowhere so I m going to break it up here. I m changing my vote to not guilty. 11th Juror, What kind of man are you? You have sat here and voted guilty with everyone else because there are some baseball tickets burning a hole in your pocket . The drama is now directed away from the accused of murder and now towards Juror 7 that shows irony towards the relevance of importance. It is from the example above we see

Originally, built as a temple for the Romans, it is a massive structure that stands 142 feet tall and was built in 126 AD. Made of marble, yet the dome is not reinforced and is made of concrete. The massive Corinthian style columns really show its roman influence as noted by the motifs of scrolls and leaves. The craftsman ship of the massive building truly amazes me, how did the Romans build this? They surely did not have the tools and equipment we have today. Yet, it still stands! • 11. What Role Does The Satan Play In The Canterbury Tales In Medieval Literature Satan was often used as a character. There was also more evidence during this period of time. They were not that obvious unlike others but they were there for sure. They were often symbolized in a certain character s and personalities that they had throughout the Prologue. The characters were really relatable to the characteristics of Satanhimself. Satan played a big role in The Canterbury Tales with the Parson, Pardoner, and Summoned. IN the Prologue of The Canterbury Tales, the Summoner is immediately characterized as Satan. He is described as red face with big whelks which are pimples just used in another term back then. The writer (Arthur Schomburg) however, asserts that the negro has been throughout the centuries of controversy an active collaborator, and often a pioneer, in the struggle for his own freedom and advancement (670). We find that the hardest part of life can be the one that is the most common in every person s life. Commitment has been a word that can be tossed around in relationships, with the vulnerable ring to it; that pursuit of something better can feel lost in even the most stable relationships. We find that Othello and Desdemona are not lovers. Desdemona is a bare projection for Othello s own inability to develop self esteem and overcoming self alienation, which increases the potential of his immeasurable self hatred. There is indifference, speechlessness, inability to communicate with quirky, infantile and confused character between the two. He wears this cloth, Othello s love token, Othello s body veil, which he gives away, thus exposing himself to Desdemona and before the whole world. More specifically, the veil and Desdemona, because both are synonymous, and such the same thing, that they symbolize infidelity. The cloth is given by Othello as a pledge of his love to Desdemona. He also pleaded his love for her when he says,Come, My dear love,The purchase made, the fruits are to ensue; The profit s yet to come tween me and you. Goodnight. (2.3.9 13). Through the use of evidence and explanations, the difference between organic and non organic will be shown in depth providing for a decision to be made between the two. There are many food groups that can be divided between non organic and organic foods the two that will be discussed today are meats and vegetables or fruits. Organic meats are any animals that aren t fed modified food. This means that animals such as cows, pigs, and even chickens are given food like grass and hay. This in order to be considered organic the animals must be able to live and walk among outdoors(Robinson, Segal 4). The food for the animals is also treated with natural methods to prevent diseases(Robinson, Segal 4). The main reason that people steer away from organic is the price compared to non organic is more. In fact, the organic meat can cost more than 70% more than non organic meats(Marks 14). Now let s talk about non organic meat which has many differences compared to organic. The way organic meat is raised is different because it can be raised outdoors or inside crammed together with thousands of other animals(Robinson, Segal 4). The feeding of non organic can involve growth hormones which allow the animals to grow faster. Genetically Modified

From these two recommendations alone, and since Kudler is not a particularly large company (all of their business processes are handled internally), only three of the four different types of IT audits should be used to audit the business processes. Payroll/AP/AR Many companies choose to outsource many of their payroll/AP/AR functions to an outside company. Because of this, an SAS 70 audit is needed to ensure that the outside company that is performing these services is following the correct guidelines and that their computer systems are up to date and up to standards. Kudler, however, takes care of everything internally and does not utilize an outside company for these functions. Because of this, only attestation and an SAS 94 audit would be utilized for each department. A data analytical review (attestation) would be required to ensure that the numbers are reasonable and an SAS 94 audit would ensure the physical and logical security of the business functions. Inventory Kudler s inventory department would differ from the other departments in that it would require a compliance review as well as a data analytical review and an SAS 94 audit. Besides the fact that the computer systems needed for inventory have to be tested for physical and logical control, and the inventory data needs to be tested for correctness, the physical stock room needs to be in compliance with OSHA regulations. For a psychologist especially, it is more than important to take note of a client s well being, happiness, and overall mood. Referring specifically to elders, they often have the tendency to feel lonely or disconnected to others the older that they get. Although there are multiple ways for elders to improve their happinesssuch as exercising, surrounding themselves with people that make them happy, having a well balanced diet or getting good sleep, there are other important factors that we often forget to take note of. As well as this, as humanbeings we often find ourselves creating bonds, or attachments with other people or even certain hobbies. We even crave the feeling, want or need of support from others that we often strive to look for and end up lacking to find. Although there is some focus on it, it is important to note just how beneficial owning a petcan be and how much of an impact it can create towards your own happiness as an elder in this world today, while also being the solution to many of these studies mentioned. Sharkin and Knox (2003) reviewed the subject of pet loss and issues and implications for the psychologist. They focus on the importance of psychologists to understand how significant pets can be in the lives of their clients. When referring to the effect of pet loss on older people specifically in this research paper, it is noted

Benefits And Benefits Of Social Security In Bonnie Smith Yackel s essay My Mother Never Worked she passionately defends her mother after Social Security refuses to grant her death benefit check. Yackel does not realize that Social Security fairly distributes benefits to contributing Americans. Social Security was reasonable to not granting benefits to a woman who never contributed as a wage earner. Hence it would not be fair if benefits are granted to a fraud who never paid wage taxes compared to wage earners who do. Americans who abuse Social Security benefits by committing fraud is unethical and not to mention illegal. Americans that are in desperate need for Social Security benefits require it far more than frauds. By eliminating fraud the governmentcan properly grant social benefits to hard working Americans. Social Security benefits should be permitted to Americans that work and provide back to their country or they are disabled. Also, hard working citizens that pay their duties will receive back from benefits, including employees that are qualified as disabled. Benefits should not be granted to any citizen that makes no contribution to their country such as, tax deductions from their wages. Furthermore, Social Security needs to reach out to the majority which is the povertystricken. By informing the impecunious or immigrants of Social Security it could save them from the misfortune of poverty. Even though, Social Security relieves some citizens from a financial burden there are still many improvements to be

According to the dictionary morals is defined as relating to, or concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong. Simply this means that your right of conduct is ethical. It is also stated that morals are founded on the fundamental principles of right conduct rather than legalities or custom. So what is Nietzsche: Genealogy of Morals going to tell us about these morals that will show us that what we do is more about those humanly principles rather than legal principle? Nietzsche: Genealogy of Morals is consisted of 3 essays about morals. I will be talking and summarizing the first essay that he wrote for the Genealogy of Morals. Nietzsche expresses his dissatisfaction with certain English psychologists. He s not too happy with them because they try to explain the origin or morality and claim to be historians of such but they do not have the historical spirit. He states that their theories are suggestive to the fact people use to benefit from unegoistic actions of others. These same genealogists suggest that we have gone away from this type of morality and truly forgot all about ourselves. As the readings continue it is determined that Nietzsche does not agree with this because those who say goodness was shown could not and did not define good. People only see

Plants have the unique ability of producing their own food through a process called photosynthesis. In this process, plants are able to produce macromolecules such as carbohydrates that cannot be produced in animals or humans. In humans, the only to gain these macromolecules is to consume plant matter, or consume plant eating animals (herbivores). When humans consume plants, the carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins that are broken down through two forms of cellular respiration. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This means that humans not only need plants for eating, but also need their created oxygen to break the food down efficiently. In humans, cellular respiration also produces heat also needed in the body for thermoregulation, Thermoregulation that is an example of temperature homeostasis in humans, requires heat energy to maintain a relatively constant internal temperature. All the heat energy that is needed for survival would not exist without plants. Water is also a requirement in humans, and is needed for the body to balance fluid through osmoregulation. By consuming plants, the water that they contain will also be transferred to the consumer. An example of this could be in the consumption of coconuts. Coconuts usually contain a good supply of water. The water found in young coconuts contains electrolytes and a pH level similar to human blood. This could be beneficial by providing fast hydration and are normally found in warm tropical climates where hydration is a major concern. Other then being used for consumption, plants also provide shelter from the environment. Trees provide shade, which creates a cooler temperature that helps prevent dehydration. They also provide fruit and shelter for animals for human consumption. Trees are also cut up into wood for building houses and making tools needed for hunting and protection from predators. Humans have an advantage over animals because of our greater intelligence that permitted the discovery of tools. Without

John Wesley s Practices And Beliefs God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son and Holy Spirit Matthew 28:18 20 (The Message) As one who came to the Methodist tradition later in her journey, I am very appreciative as to the origins of John Wesley s practices and beliefs. I am proud of the fact that we have been the first tradition to ordain women in the ministry as well as the first to focus on assisting everyday people and those on the margins. But even more importantly, just as the Methodists of old spoke viscerally against slavery the still intact systematic racism needs to be addressed by the church as well. As we read the above text, it states to go out and train everyone, not just some or those who are all white. Again, it is important we learn from our past to create a healthier future. Similarly, as purposefully as our first Methodist fathers and mothers fought the establishment that supported slavery, we missed a golden opportunity when we insisted on segregating our congregations. Because of our ignorance and fear, the new Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church (later to be the AME) was created by Bishop Richard Allen in response to racial injustices within the walls of St. Georges Methodist Episcopal church. The African Methodist Episcopal Church has a unique history as it is the first major religious denomination in the western world that developed

The play centres round the character Macbeth, who is brave, ambitious and has a tendency to self doubt, and becomes a murderer due to his lust for power. The play focuses on Macbeth s psyche and his downfall, yet it also portrays a variety of power relations. The relationship between men and women is represented by Macbeth and Lady Macbeth s relationship, and the constant change in gender roles. The theme of masculinity is common throughout the play, which is portrayed through contrasting views on gender. Another power relation in Macbeth is the relationship between a king and his ... Macbeth tells the audience why he doesn t want to kill Duncan, as he is Duncan s subject and host so he should protect him from danger and not bear the knife myself . However he tells Lady Macbeth a different reason, which is that Duncan has given him new honours and he wants to enjoy the golden opinions . He may be concerned about how Lady Macbeth thinks of him and his masculinity as she displays more masculine traits. Lady Macbeth responds with harsh words, attacking his self esteem and his manliness. She goads him by questioning his manhood, which is repeated throughout the play, whenever Macbeth shows signs of faltering, Lady Macbeth always implies that he is less than a man. Lady Macbeth calls Macbeth a coward, in which he replies I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none . She says that when Macbeth made the promise to kill Duncan, he was a man, What beast was t then that made you break this enterprise to me? When you durst do it, then you were a man . Lady Macbeth again uses strong imagery when she says if she had sworn to act, she would not have backed down, but rather have plucked my nipple from his boneless gums and dashed the brains out . Lady Macbeth defies her womanly/motherly traits, which challenges a woman s role in society in the 17th century, as she would have been expected to be a nurturing mother. The uncertain tone and gentle imagery of Macbeth s soliloquy, contrasts with the strong rhythms

Personality thus becomes a concept strongly influenced by a basic urge for attention and respect. At a young age, these same goals are gained from parents the struggle extends to adulthood as common relations and peers. Frank Sulloway For a period, birth order was refuted and phased out from serious study. However, as a result of Sulloway s release of his own studies, birth order theories gained respect once again (Paulhus, Trapnell, Chen, 1999). Frank Sulloway follows Adler s theory in the sense that he also believed sibling differences attributed to birth order resulted from competition between siblings. Sulloway (1996) held that siblings utilize differences in size and strength to overpower younger siblings. These younger siblings in turn resorted to counterstrategies in order to hold their ground against older siblings. Such a discussion is certainly reminiscent to Adler s own speculations. However, Sulloway s studies brought in a new dimension to the study of birth order. It was through his research that the Big Five Personality traits, namely Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism, were introduced into the study (Sulloway, 2001). Data was gathered reflecting the personality dispositions of individuals based on birth order. This served to give credibility to this particular area of

I comprehend that the private sector is recognized as a critical driver of economic growth, which contributes significantly to poverty reduction and higher living standards for poor people, Although, the fading of the word freedom emphasizes that capitalism, controlled by private sectors who provides majority of jobs to Americans, contradicts its representation of the free enterprise system. I agree with the pictures intent to question capitalism due to the fact that capitalism is a system based on the principle of individual rights, and the free market, known as the system of Laissez faire. The picture most appropriately responds to the first question of the Stasis Theory which state, Did something happened? The choice of words used by the author created a sarcastic tone resulting in the reader wondering if something happened. The question responds correctly to the statement because it causes one to question and acknowledge that capitalism represents the free market, the principle of individual rights, and the system of Laissez faire, therefore, the word freedom being faded in the background demean the value and importance of the word when the term capitalism represents similar ideals and/or
