Essays On Life Lessons
Crafting an essay on the theme of "Essays On Life Lessons" is undoubtedly a challenging
endeavor. The intricacy lies in the vastness and depth of the subject matter itself. Life lessons
encompass a wide array of experiences, emotions, and reflections, making it a complex tapestry
to unravel and articulate effectively.
The difficulty arises from the need to strike a balance between personal anecdotes and universal
truths. Each individual's life journey is unique, filled with a myriad of lessons learned. Trying to
distill these experiences into a coherent narrative that resonates with a broader audience requires
a delicate blend of introspection, empathy, and storytelling prowess.
Moreover, delving into life lessons often demands a certain level of vulnerability. Sharing
personal insights and growth moments necessitates a willingness to expose one's own
vulnerabilities, which can be both daunting and emotionally taxing.
The challenge also lies in avoiding clichГ©s and platitudes. Life lessons are often associated
with well-worn phrases and truisms, making it crucial to approach the topic with fresh
perspectives and genuine insights that go beyond the surface-level advice commonly dispensed.
On a broader scale, the difficulty of writing such an essay is compounded by the evolving nature
of life itself. What may be a profound lesson today might morph into a nuanced understanding
tomorrow. Capturing this dynamic and ever-changing essence requires a keen awareness of the
fluidity of life experiences.
In conclusion, the task of penning an essay on "Essays On Life Lessons" is indeed an intricate
undertaking. It demands not only a mastery of language but also a deep understanding of the
human experience. Successfully navigating these complexities can result in a piece that not only
resonates with readers but also serves as a source of inspiration and reflection.

Business Strategy For Hewlett Packard Company
1.Introduction
Among global manufacturers, offshoring, obtaining products and services from
overseas, has been one of the most widely used strategies to take advantage of the
arbitrage of labour cost. However, in recently years, reshoring seem to be the new
trend in business as a recent survey conducted by the Boston Consulting Group
found that 21 per cent of a sample of 200 executives of large manufacturers were
either already relocating production to the US, or planning to do so within the next
two years. A further 33 per cent said they were considering it, or would consider it
in the near future. [1] Many well known companies such as Google, General
Electric, Caterpillar and Ford Motor Company are moving part of their production or
adding new plants back in their country of origin.[3]
In my point of view, there is a potential opportunity for Hewlett Packard Company to
reshore part of their value chain activities in its personal system division back to the
US, as detailed proposal and analysis will be discussed as follow.

Prescription Drug Abuse
One in three Americans are prescribed opioids from their doctor. Once someone is
prescribed a medication and take it daily, as told to do so by the doctor, it is
extremely easy to become dependent on the pills. Dependency on a drug means
that the body physically craves it and may experience withdrawals when the
prescription is stopped. Addiction characterizes as a mental need for the drug. The
behavior changes and abusing the medication will begin. Almost half of all

An efficient and secure aviation system is essential within Australia s aviation
industry since it connects cities and Australia to the rest of the world. Aviation security

the Australian aviation security environment through the Aviation Transport Security

After the events of 911, security in airport has been heavily strengthened in

Marching Band Perseverance
As Newt Gingrich once said, Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get
tired of the hard work you already did. This quote applies greatly to marching band.
Many people like to discredit it as something that is simply walking around and
playing an instrument, but it is much more than that. We didn t win championships
across the east coast twice by doing something just anyone can do. No one
perseveres quite like the band. At the very least, the band practices six hours a week,
and at the most we practice nine to ten hours. That s six to ten hours a week for
sixteen weeks. This doesn t t discredit band camp, though, as it lasts two weeks, and
all of us are as miserable as can be. The first week is five days of six hours
Analyzing Woodrow Wilson s Fourteen Points
The Fourteen Points was a set of principles intended to peaceably resolve World
War One. They were first presented by Woodrow Wilson on January 8, 1918 to the
United States Congress. The leaders of the Allied countries were skeptical that
Wilson s points were too idealistic. This draws the need to evaluate if the points
were truly idealistic, or if the Allied leaders were simply too cynical. The points may
be divided into three sections, one concerning international diplomacy, one regarding
the evacuation of occupied territories, and a final section concerning the League of
Nations. Some of the points presented were too idealistic, while other points were
completely reasonable. The section concerning the evacuation of occupied territories,
The Battle Of The Cruise Missile
Since man first began traversing the world s waterways, we have been battling for
control and supremacy over them. Whoever owns the sea has the upper hand in war.
The outcome of war is determined by a complex combination of factors including:
strategy, tactics, training, morale, leadership, organization, technology, weapons, and
some luck. Having a slight advantage in most of these categories, or a great
superiority in one, can lead to victory. Although there isn t always a set order of
which factor is most important, it is evident that the side possessing superior
weapons has an increased chance of victory. The cruise missileis the latest in a line of
technologies which decidedly changed the conduct of maritime warfare. This
technology dramatically shifted the role of naval forces in both the land and maritime
engagements, and expanded the naval battlefield to unforeseen distances and locales.
Thus, impacting the way the United States Navyhas approached strategy, tactics, and
inter service relations. Strategy
The cruise missile has allowed the United States Navy to carry out its strategies of
obtaining sea control and supremacy, and acting as a strategic deterrence;
discouraging other countries from starting conflict. One of the greatest aspects of the
cruise missile is the ability it has to carry nuclear warheads and launch them from a
submarine or surface ship. Cruise missiles launched from submarines have a tactical
advantage over

The Challenges to Henry VII Security Between 1487 and the end of 1499 Henry
VII faced many challenges to his throne from 1487 to the end of 1499. These
included many rebellions and pretenders to his throne. To what extent was the
success he dealt with them differs although the overriding answer is that by the end
of his reign he had secured his throne and set up a dynasty, with all challengers
removed. Lambert Simnel challenged Henry s security when Richard Symonds
passed him off as Warwick. Simnel was taken to Ireland, which had become the
centre of Yorkist plotting. Margaret of Burgundy provided money and an army of
2000 mercenaries. They landed in Ireland in May 1487. Henry paraded the real...

The success of the win was therefore undermined, as he did not have the full loyalty
of his men at the battlefield. However, all in all, by using a large army to deal with
the rebels demonstrated to other challengers the strength Henry had at his hands
and this must surely be a success. Simnel was put to work in the royal kitchens.
This was a successful way of dealing with Simnel as it showed Henry to be a
merciful and forgiving man. Henry called a Parliament in November 1487. The
nobles and gentry who had supported the rebellion were attainted and their lands
were confiscated by the crown. This was successful as it made examples of these
men to warn off other contenders or rebels. In addition, by attainting them and
confiscating their lands, this meant that if a noble was to get involved in a rebellion
not only would he be affected but so too would his family, heir and subjects. This was
surely a lot more threatening then death. Henry quickly tried to mend relations with
Maximilian. A new treaty in January 1488 restored friendly relations with close
trading ties between England and Burgundy. As soon as Henry found out about the
Simnel conspiracy he
Sexualization Of Women In Action Movies Essay
Sexualization is one of the obvious characteristics in action movies. Sexualization
represents the issue of gender inequality, showing the imbalanced participation of
characters with different gender in action movies. When talking about the
sexualization in action movies, we firstly need to identify the stereotypes of females
in action movies. As we know, the action movies usually present the heroism of the
main characters, who are mostly males. To frame the heroism of malecharacters, it is
routine to add femalecharacters in action movies. Such female characters are fragile,
vulnerable and weak. They usually need the protection of males. In action movies,
the typical female characters are wife and daughter . In action movies, especially the

In action movies, many plots contain violent and dangerous scenes. Usually,
females cannot burden such dangerous tasks in which even male characters usually
get injured (Dargis, 2014). This phenomenon can be attributed to the division of
work among females and males. In the long history, males are the ones who join in
the army and participate in the war. Females are the ones who prepare supplies at
home. Therefore, females seldom join in violent fights. Therefore, the
sexualization of action movies is related to the social position of females in
history. Fortunately, females are taking more responsibilities from males in action
movies. For example, Michelle MacLaren is hired to direct the movie Wonder
Woman, which is an action movie with female main characters. This is a
breakthrough in the history of action movies and demonstrates a trend of De
sexualization in action movies. Also, female led action movies like Underworld:

viewing and observing is your best bet if you truly want to maximize your outdoor
experience. Spotting scopes are similar to both binoculars and telescopes, combining
the convenient portability of the standard binoculars, with the longer range viewing
capabilities of the star gazing telescope. Spotting scopes can give you the high
definition magnification capabilities required from longer distances, and so are the
perfect optical device for your birding or hunting adventure. However, sometimes it

The Price Of Crude Oil Essay
Abstract
The price of crude oil has experienced a sharp decline since June, 2015. The
stunning fall in oil prices has been one of the most important global macro economic
developments of the past 20 months. There are numerous factors that have
contributed to the oil price crash and the downturn of the oil and gas industry. These
factors would further be discussed in this paper . Causes of Oil Price Crash in Recent
Times
The oil industry is full of economic booms and busts. Recently, the industry is in a
downturn and the price of crude oil has dropped significantly. In recent times, the
price of oil has dropped by more than 40% since June 2015. This crash came after
nearly five years of stability and the economies hardly hit by this downturn are oil
exporting countries such as Russia, Nigeria, Iran and Venezuela. In the past one year
and a half, oil prices have been cut in half and oil executives have predicted it will be
years before oil prices return to $100 per barrel. The major causes of the downturn
are the declining prices of a barrel of oil, which is as a result of the strong U.S.
dollar, oversupply, OPECand declining demand.
The oil price is partly determined by actual supply and demand and partly by
expectation. Demand for energy is closely related to economic activity. Supply can
be affected by weather and by geopolitical upsets. Recently, demand for energy is
low because of weak economic activity, inctreased efficiency, and a growing switch
away from oil to
Top Competitors in The Personal Computer Industry
The PC industry is highly competitive and constantly changing as technology evolves
and customer needs change. Some of the top competitors in the PC industry are IBM,
Hewlett Packard, Dell and Apple. Theses rivals are constantly jockeying for the top
competitor s position. They compete in prices, product innovation, advertising, etc.
In the early 1980s the top competitor in this industry was IBM due to its open
system and ease of being cloned. During this same time, Apple struggled to keep
pace and changed its competitive strategy multiple times. From 1980 to 1993 Apple
positioned itself in the computer industry as the company that provides easy to use
desktops with superior software and hardware. Unlike its competitors, Apple did ...

Despite these initiatives, Apple s competitive range was mediocre compared to its
competitors.
The next strategy was to return to an old business practice which was Apples
premium prices. But this strategy, like the others, did not boost the company s
competitive advantage.
In 1997, Steve Jobs returned to Apple as an advisory and with the purposes of
reshaping the product line. The changes made by Jobs resulted in increased sales and
$309 million in profits. Job changed the mindset of Apples management and
development team. He encourage them to have the think different management style
that promotes the development of products that are ahead of the technology and
design curve, and a creative retail strategy. It is this strategy that would eventually
make Apple the best selling company in the PC industry.
Jobs also changed the pricing strategy and focused on value based pricing that
provided customers with premium products at a premium price. Product pricing has
specifically set Apple apart from its competitors. Apple believed that they could
create demand for their products which would give the company power over prices
through product differentiation, innovative advertising, ensured brand loyalty, and
hype around the launch of new products (Nair, 2014). Apple s aggressive competitive
strategy paid off and in 2013, the company was named the World s Most Innovative

Persuasive Essay On Dress Code
There are far more dress codes for females than there are for males, and it s stupid.
To add onto those ridiculously placed rules, there was some even more ridiculous
cases of them. These include: Tessa Wilson from Springstead High School in
Florida, she was sent home for wearing a tank top UNDER a jacket. Cam Boland, a
17 year old, was giving a speech at a different school for National Honors Society.
They took her NHS title because she was wearing a spaghetti strap dress while she
gave the speech, (she was wearing a jacket but due to the weather being warm, she
took it off). Finally, Stephanie Dunn, from Woodford County High School, was
sent home for wearing a cardigan and a tank top, which her annoyed mother
offered to bring a large scarf to add on top of that but, the school still decided that this
was not okay. These all seem campy and fake to even be real, dress codes shouldn t
be at a certain aim for a certain group of people, they should all be equal to
everyone. We should have to worry about proper education and proper learning
rather than what we are wearing and what other people perceive has what is good to
wearand what is not good to wear. Dress codes are not important (also they re very
bias) and they should be abolished. I propose two very different ideas for how we
could fix this problem, and they re both rather easy. The first one is we simply all
wear the same exact outfit, everyday, no matter what. No one would get in trouble
now because

Andrew Carnegie was born on November 25, 1835 in Dunfermline, United Kingdom.
Life as we know it today was not only influenced from the past but built on its
foundation, the foundation that successful men over the generations have given us.
Andrew Carnegie is no exception to this list. He lived a life of wealth through the
Carnegie Corporation of New York and dedicated his fortune to structures and
developments that have benefited society immensely, from the discovery of insulin
and the creation of Pell grants and sesame street, to the dismantling of nuclear
weapons. Andrew Carnegie argued that To try to make the world in some way better
than you found it is to have a noble motive in life. Andrew Carnegie did exactly what
he set out to do and left this world on a higher standard than when he found it by
accomplishing his goals and pushing this world into the future with his advanced
technologies and genius at the helm.
Andrew Carnegie did not start out life lavish and wealthy, in fact, he was born
penniless and humble to those who accepted him. The reason behind his
impoverished background was due to the economic crash in Scotland caused by the
arrival of the power loom, which in turn was the reason for Carnegie s family to
immigrate to the United States in 1848. They had met up with
Life And Nature Are Very Similar. Both Are Complex, Yet
Life and nature are very similar. Both are complex, yet simple, both are beautiful,
and both are all around, yet cannot be created artificially. The constitution of both is
often explored in different forms of art, such as poetry. In her poem, Nature Is What
We See, Emily Dickinson uses personification, imagery, contrast, and an extensive
use of dashes to convey the theme of nature s dangerous beauty and incredible
simplicity, as well as its extreme complexityand the completeness of its
unattainability.
By personifying nature as a woman, the author captures some of the mystery
associated with women, adding to the mystique of nature. Throughout history, nature
has often been seen as a woman. This is evidenced in Greek Mythology when ...

She shows how it encompasses not only the vast expanses of the seas, but also the
small, simple squirrel. By using these examples, she demonstrates how truly
improbable it is for any human art, mind, or definition to completely see nature in
its entirety. Nature is a mystery that humans are unable to solve, yet we continue to
try. The complexity of nature is too alluring to the human mind to leave to its own
devices. Instead, we analyze it. One way we do this is to write about it. For example,
we use imagery in poems to describe it, just as Emily Dickinson did.
The use of imagery throughout the poem allows the author to display her
perspective on the simplicity of nature. When she describes nature, she often uses
small animals, such as a squirrel and a bird called a bobolink, as examples. She
then builds on those images with things such as the sea and thunder to add to the
effect she created in her poem. Taken by themselves, these creatures and things are
simple. However, because she uses all of them together in sequence to describe one
concept, the image grows more complex. It creates a sense of contrast that
complicates the image, giving it more substance and allowing it to take on a more
complete form. These contrasts are all throughout the poem.
The various contrasts all through the poem suggest the vast complexity involved in
the concept of nature. By mentioning a cricket and then thunder immediately

Betrayal of Gender Roles in Fairy Tales
Fairy tales are one of the most well read genres, including classic fairy tales such as
the Disney version of Snow White One of the identifying features of this genre is the
use of gender roles and the way it endorses certain values in regards to male and
female. However, throughout the years fairy tales have undergone great changes,
towards the view of woman representation and gender roles. In the contemporary
Snow White the values of classical fairy tales have changed offering a new
perspective of gender roles and how women are represented.
In a contemporary version of Snow White by The Merseyside Fairy Story
Collective, where a young girl named Snow White and her friends the dwarfs are
miners for the Queen and they fought against her, who ruled over the people. Snow
White was to live in the castle and to create jewels for the Queen. The Queen asked
the mirror who is the happiest in the land. The mirror was interpreted as a symbol of
communism which showed gender inequality. In the contemporary Snow White, the
mirror showed the Queen the workers and showed her what they were doing. For
example, the Queen could see what was happening anywhere in her kingdom. When
she looked into the mirror and saw any of her subjects doing things which displeased
her she sent soldiers to punish them (Merseyside 74). Perhaps the mirror was giving

Eldon s Quotation
I believe the quotation given means that it is better to face your decisions and their
consequences directly than to live feeling incomplete in regards to these choices
you ve made. Frank is saying that Eldon being hurt either physically or emotionally
if he decides to go back to visit his mother is better than the negative feelings that
would (and did) follow him for the rest of his life if he does not return home at all. I
agree with Franklin that it is best to deal with your issues and their consequences
without delay rather than to keep them inside and go on with life feeling an array of
emotions.
In the novel, Eldon witnessed the abuse of his mother and tried to stop it, but was

Instead, Eldon lived the rest of his life feeling many emotions such as anger, guilt,
sadness, and shame. These emotions are what Franklin refers to in the quotation as
being half alive . Eldon felt major guilt for never checking up on his mother to
make sure she was safe and well. Instead, he let his terror of Jenks and his anger
towards his mother over power his return. Although struggling with all of these
emotions Eldon does not do anything to mend them such as going to visit his mother
for an explanation or to rebuild their relationship. Alternately, Eldon buried these
emotions and felt constant pain and suffering for the rest of his lifetime. Also, by
burying these feelings I believe it did a great deal of harm to Eldons life, perhaps
being a major contributor to his alcoholism. In the quotation, Franklin is saying that

The History Of Moby Dick
The History of Moby Dick
On October 8th, 1851, the book Moby Dick written by Herman Melville was
published, which be later be considered a Great American Epic. Melville before he
was a writer took an a few odd occupations, including a banker, a teacher, and a
whaler for about 5 years. On his voyages he heard many tales, one about a peculiar
and catastrophic incident involving a certain whaling boat. Moby Dick based off of
this tale, telling a story of a young man called Ishmael signs up to work on the ship
the Pequad . The ship was captained by a strict, crazy man called Ahab, who would
stop at nothing to kill Moby Dick, the white whale. At first, Moby Dick was poorly
received. At first people hated it, a considered it to be one of Melville s worst
books. It wasn t considered a Great American Epic until after Melville s death.
Today however, Moby Dick has been influential to other writers and literary topics,
such as movies. One popular movie, not based off of Moby Dick but it s true story,
about Captain Pollard and his first mate Owen Chase, The Heart of the Sea stands
out among the others. The Heart of the Sea was produced by Ron Howard, who
says he wanted to create a Moby Dick movie, but instead told the actual story the
book was based off of. The Heart of the Sea , is about the true story of Moby Dick ,
about a whale that attacks Captain Pollard s ship the Essex , sinking it and leaving
the crew members stranded with three lifeboats, little food,

Nigeria An Evaluation of Recent Experiences By Akinlolu Agboola Obafemi
Awolowo University Ile Ife, Nigeria Abstract The study is a comprehensive
evaluation of the response of Nigerian banks to the adoption of ICT. Three
categories of variables that relate to the adoption and implementation of information
technology devices were used for the study. These include the nature and degree of
adoption of innovative technologies; degree of utilisation of the identified
technologies; and the impact of the adoption of ICT devices on banks operation.
The study covered 36 out of the 89 banks in the country as at the end of 2005. A total

The banking industry in Nigeria has witnessed tremendous changes linked with the
developments in ICT over the years. The quest for survival, global relevance,
maintenance of existing market share and sustainable development has made
exploitation of the many advantages of ICT through the use of automated devices
imperative in the industry. This study evaluates the response of Nigerian banks to
this new trend and examines the extent to which they have adopted innovative
technologies in their operations and the resultant effects. Information and
Communication Technology Information Technology (IT) is the automation of
processes, controls, and information production using computers,
telecommunications, software and ancillary equipment such as automated teller
machine and debit cards (Khalifa 2000). It is a term that 4 generally covers the
harnessing of electronic technology for the information needs of a business at all
levels. Irechukwu (2000) lists some banking services that have been revolutionized
through the use of ICT as including account opening, customer account mandate, and
transaction processing and recording. Information and Communication Technology
has provided self service facilities (automated customer service machines) from where
prospective customers can complete their account opening documents direct online. It

Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib
Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib
Birth of Ali:
Hadrat Ali was the son of Abu Talib, a prominent Quraish chief and custodian of the
Holy Ka bah. The mother of Hadrat Ali was Fatima. Fatima was a cousin of Abu
Talib. Thus, both the father and mother of Hadrat Ali were Hashimites, and that was a
great honour. Hadrat Aliwas born in unusual circumstances. On the 13th day of the
holy month of Rajab, Fatima, the mother of Hadrat Ali, visited the Ka bah to
perform the pilgrimage. During the course of the pilgrimage and while
circumambulating the Ka bah, Fatima felt the pangs of childbirth. She retired to a
secluded place in the precincts of the holy Ka bah, and there Hadrat Ali was born.

Life after Muhammad (during the reign og the 3 caliphs)
Another part of Ali s life started in 632 after death of Muhammad and lasted until
assassination of Uthman Ibn Affan, the third caliph in 656. During these years,
Ali neither took part in any battle or conquest.[4] nor did he assume any executive
position. He withdrew from political affairs, especially after the death of his wife,
Fatima Zahra. He used his time to serve his family and worked as a farmer. Ali dug a

The Glass Menagerie By Tennessee Williams
Various psychological frameworks can be applied to analyze the problems of
literary characters, as well as those of real people. One such framework is
Buddhism with its analysis of suffering and its causes. Noted Buddhist teacher
Thich Nhat Hanh states that Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only
condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything anger, anxiety, or
possessions we cannot be free (78). More specifically, Nhat Hanh and many other
Buddhists recommend that letting go of greed, aversion and delusion, referred to by
Buddhist as the Three Poisons (or Kilesas), in order to be gain the greatest
happiness. According to Theravada Buddhist teacher Nyanatiloka Mahathera
delusion (also referred to as ignorance) is the worst of these three dysfunctions
because, If there is no more ignorance, there will be no more greed and hatred, no
more rebirth, no more suffering (O Brien). The three main characters of Tennessee
Williamsplay The Glass Menagerie exhibit these dysfunctional states of mind to
varying degrees. The play effectively explores various motifs including various
examples of escapism, economic anxiety and generally dysfunctional ways of relating
to others to illustrate the convergence or interplay of dysfunctions that a family can
have. Due to the precarious economic situation of the central characters, including
Amanda Wingfield, an overbearing mother figure, escapism is a dominant theme in
this drama. Her daughter Laura
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Inverter
Abstract: Nowadays an Inverter is most commonly used device in almost every
field. An inverter gives ac square wave output. The objective of this paper is to
obtain a three phase ac voltage output of 3 phase inverter in Simulation. An
inverter receives dc supply as input and generates an ac output. The dc input of 3
phase inverter is obtained by constant dc source. The inverter circuit consists of six
IGBTs which are used for conversion of dc to ac supply. Simulation of 3 phase
inverter is done in MATLAB software.
Keywords: 3 phase inverter, constant dc source, MATLAB software, simulink, THD.
Introduction: An inverter is a DC to AC converter, used to convert a dc input
voltage into a symmetrical ac output voltage of desired magnitude and frequency.
The waveshape of output ac voltage of inverter should be sinusoidal. However,
practical inverters give output voltage that are non sinusoidal and contain harmonics.
The waveshapes of output voltage are square, quasi square or distorted sinusoidal.
Inverters used in low and medium power applications normally give square or quasi
square wave output. However, in high power applications sinusoidal waveform is
required, so inverters are carefully designed to give sinusoidal output with low
distortion. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Intercultural Interpersonal Communication And...
The second chapter includes several interesting concepts, one of which being the
differences between intercultural and interpersonal communication. Intercultural
communication is defined as the process that occurs when members of two or more
cultures or co cultures exchange messages in a manner that is influenced by their
different cultural perceptions and symbol systems, both verbal and nonverbal (Adler
et al., 2015, pg. 40). While most interactions seem to have some sense of intercultural
aspect due to the great diversity not only in race but in backgrounds today, not all
interactions have this effect. Intercultural interactions only occur when there is a
difference between the two people in contact that is noticeable and creates a different
dynamic in the interaction. The book uses the term salience in order to describe how
much weight we attach to a particular person or phenomenon (Adler et al., 2015, pg.
41). The book gives several examples, such as different ethnicities on the same
basketball team striving toward a common goal don t place much emphasis in their
cultural discrepancies, just as young children from different countries playing
together don t experience intercultural communicationuntil they reach an age when
they can understand what makes them different from each other. (Adler et al., 2015,
pg. 41) In my own life, and can look back and see how I have played football with
guys from a very different culture, and found it easy to spend time around them
Human Service Organization Analysis

The Shepherd Of The Hills Essay
In Harold Bell Wright s novel The Shepherd of the Hills, setting plays a
tremendous role in creating an effective story line and contribute multiple aspects
to enhance the accountability of the story. Setting is one of the most valuable
aspects of a successful novel and plays a part in creating a sense of realness to the
reader. Winifred Madison, an author of multiple novels, says that One of the joys of
reading is that it takes you somewhere else or, by comparison, makes the place
where you live more understandable (1). The Shepherd of the Hills has a setting that
the author personally connects to the real world location. Just as Daniel Howitt was
an outsider, Harold Bell Wright visited the Ozarksas a stranger and experienced the...

In the 1800 s there were very few major towns in the Ozarks and many of the
people relied on the mills and church to hear about news and to tell their own
stories. Wright harnesses this key factor of the Ozarks to set up several scenes
with Jed Holland and Young Matt. The mill is also the place where Young Matt
shows off to the people and gives Wash Gibbs motivation to get back at him and
his close friends (Chapter 10). This wouldn t be possible without the idea of an
entire community coming together to gather at the mill and show off to one
another while they have the chance. The isolation factor also contributes by
providing a huge gap of knowledge in between the city and the rural country. The
Ozark natives are awed and amazed by the city and feel as if the people who live
there are all incredibly educated and have more valuable knowledge than the
average outdoorsman. Meanwhile the strangers from the city come to the
countryside to enter into a life of peace and beauty. Both Daniel Howitt and his son
loved the Ozarks because of the life changing experiences that occur there. This gap
is caused by the isolation of the Ozarks and creates a two sided story. On one hand
the city appears to be the ultimate goal for some woodsmen, while on the other the
people leave the city and come to the country because of its remoteness from the
hustle and bustle of the city. This

Betrayal In Hamlet

American Democracy
It turns out that John McCain s most important service to American democracy
was not rendered in a P.O.W. camp in Vietnam. It s being rendered right now in the
U.S. Senate. In the first place, McCain seems to be the only member of Congress
who insists on holding hearings and working toward compromise before passing
major legislation. This would seem to be the very elemental prerequisite of good
government like a doctor seeking a diagnosis before performing surgery but
McCain appears to be the only member, or at least the only Republican, willing to
risk unpopularity to insist upon a basic respect for our sacred institutions. Second,
McCain is one of very few Republicans willing to stand up for the American story.

Public figures are the primary teachers in this mutual education. Our leaders have
outsize influence in either weaving the moral order by their good example or
ripping it to shreds by their bad example. McCain s career has had its low
moments, as all of ours do a banking scandal, Sarah Palin but he exemplifies a
practical standard of excellence to an extraordinary degree: enduring in Vietnam,
seeking compromise legislation on everything from immigration reform to
campaign spending, condemning torture after 9/11. Moreover, I don t think there
s another politician now living who devotes so much of his speeches to little
biographies of his own exemplars, people like James Stockdale, Bud Day, Morris
Udall and Master Sgt. Roy Benavidez. He has turned his own heroes into
educational resources for his country, and used them to evangelize our national
ideals. These sorts of testimonies help weave a shared moral order, which is
necessary to unite, guide and motivate a diverse country. That is an essential
bulwark in the age of Trump. That is what needs rebuilding. Books will someday be
written on how Trump, this wounded and twisted man, became morally acceptable to
tens of millions of Americans. But it must have something to do with the way over
the past decades we have divorced private and public morality, as if private
narcissism would have no effect on public conduct. It must have something to do with
Essay Analysis of the Gladiator Trailer
Analysis of the Gladiator Trailer
Trailers are important to films for a number of reasons. They promote a film and
present it to the target audience, in order to encourage them to watch the film.
Trailers also give the audience expectations of the film. The audience like to know
what to expect of a film before they go and see it. The audience is given a taste of the
story and the basic plot. This is done by showing an array of clips that are edited to
a certain degree. The trailer normally ends with a cliff hanger . This is a term used
to explain when an audience is not told the ending of a story. This makes them
wonder in suspense as to what the possible endings could be, therefore drawing them

and genre. The film Gladiator is an epic, action, war film with some romance and a
lot of history. The opens image is of the universal logo, an instantly recognisable
big name. This is where the film was made. The following image is of the

This is a distribution company. A dramatic drumbeat is heard at the start of the

he is the general. The general has a stern, solemn expression he seems secure and

Talk Shows on Television
Television is one of the greatest inventions to ever be created, right? Lucian

Today televisionis having a huge impact on people more than ever before, by doing

  • 1. Essays On Life Lessons Crafting an essay on the theme of "Essays On Life Lessons" is undoubtedly a challenging endeavor. The intricacy lies in the vastness and depth of the subject matter itself. Life lessons encompass a wide array of experiences, emotions, and reflections, making it a complex tapestry to unravel and articulate effectively. The difficulty arises from the need to strike a balance between personal anecdotes and universal truths. Each individual's life journey is unique, filled with a myriad of lessons learned. Trying to distill these experiences into a coherent narrative that resonates with a broader audience requires a delicate blend of introspection, empathy, and storytelling prowess. Moreover, delving into life lessons often demands a certain level of vulnerability. Sharing personal insights and growth moments necessitates a willingness to expose one's own vulnerabilities, which can be both daunting and emotionally taxing. The challenge also lies in avoiding clichГ©s and platitudes. Life lessons are often associated with well-worn phrases and truisms, making it crucial to approach the topic with fresh perspectives and genuine insights that go beyond the surface-level advice commonly dispensed. On a broader scale, the difficulty of writing such an essay is compounded by the evolving nature of life itself. What may be a profound lesson today might morph into a nuanced understanding tomorrow. Capturing this dynamic and ever-changing essence requires a keen awareness of the fluidity of life experiences. In conclusion, the task of penning an essay on "Essays On Life Lessons" is indeed an intricate undertaking. It demands not only a mastery of language but also a deep understanding of the human experience. A further 33 per cent said they were considering it, or would consider it in the near future. [1] Many well known companies such as Google, General Electric, Caterpillar and Ford Motor Company are moving part of their production or adding new plants back in their country of origin.[3] In my point of view, there is a potential opportunity for Hewlett Packard Company to reshore part of their value chain activities in its personal system division back to the US, as detailed proposal and analysis will be discussed as follow. 2пјЋCompany Background Hewlett Packard Company (HP) is an American multinational information technology corporation established in 1939. We didn t win championships across the east coast twice by doing something just anyone can do. No one perseveres quite like the band. They were first presented by Woodrow Wilson on January 8, 1918 to the United States Congress. The leaders of the Allied countries were skeptical that Wilson s points were too idealistic. This draws the need to evaluate if the points were truly idealistic, or if the Allied leaders were simply too cynical. The points may be divided into three sections, one concerning international diplomacy, one regarding the evacuation of occupied territories, and a final section concerning the League of Nations. Some of the points presented were too idealistic, while other points were completely reasonable. The section concerning the evacuation of occupied territories,

These included many rebellions and pretenders to his throne. To what extent was the success he dealt with them differs although the overriding answer is that by the end of his reign he had secured his throne and set up a dynasty, with all challengers removed. Lambert Simnel challenged Henry s security when Richard Symonds passed him off as Warwick. Simnel was taken to Ireland, which had become the centre of Yorkist plotting. Simnel was put to work in the royal kitchens. This was a successful way of dealing with Simnel as it showed Henry to be a merciful and forgiving man. Henry called a Parliament in November 1487. The nobles and gentry who had supported the rebellion were attainted and their lands were confiscated by the crown. This was successful as it made examples of these men to warn off other contenders or rebels. In addition, by attainting them and confiscating their lands, this meant that if a noble was to get involved in a rebellion not only would he be affected but so too would his family, heir and subjects. In action movies, many plots contain violent and dangerous scenes. Usually, females cannot burden such dangerous tasks in which even male characters usually get injured (Dargis, 2014). This phenomenon can be attributed to the division of work among females and males. In the long history, males are the ones who join in the army and participate in the war. Females are the ones who prepare supplies at home. Therefore, females seldom join in violent fights. Therefore, the sexualization of action movies is related to the social position of females in history. Fortunately, females are taking more responsibilities from males in action movies. The stunning fall in oil prices has been one of the most important global macro economic developments of the past 20 months. There are numerous factors that have contributed to the oil price crash and the downturn of the oil and gas industry. These factors would further be discussed in this paper . Causes of Oil Price Crash in Recent Times The oil industry is full of economic booms and busts. Recently, the industry is in a downturn and the price of crude oil has dropped significantly. In recent times, the price of oil has dropped by more than 40% since June 2015. This crash came after nearly five years of stability and the economies hardly hit by this downturn are oil exporting countries such as Russia, Nigeria, Iran and Venezuela. In the past one year and a half, oil prices have been cut in half and oil executives have predicted it will be years before oil prices return to $100 per barrel. The major causes of the downturn are the declining prices of a barrel of oil, which is as a result of the strong U.S. dollar, oversupply, OPECand declining demand. The oil price is partly determined by actual supply and demand and partly by expectation. Demand for energy is closely related to economic activity. Supply can be affected by weather and by geopolitical upsets. Recently, demand for energy is low because of weak economic activity, inctreased efficiency, and a growing switch away from oil to

To add onto those ridiculously placed rules, there was some even more ridiculous cases of them. These include: Tessa Wilson from Springstead High School in Florida, she was sent home for wearing a tank top UNDER a jacket. Cam Boland, a 17 year old, was giving a speech at a different school for National Honors Society. They took her NHS title because she was wearing a spaghetti strap dress while she gave the speech, (she was wearing a jacket but due to the weather being warm, she took it off). Finally, Stephanie Dunn, from Woodford County High School, was sent home for wearing a cardigan and a tank top, which her annoyed mother offered to bring a large scarf to add on top of that but, the school still decided that this was not okay. These all seem campy and fake to even be real, dress codes shouldn t be at a certain aim for a certain group of people, they should all be equal to everyone. We should have to worry about proper education and proper learning rather than what we are wearing and what other people perceive has what is good to wearand what is not good to wear. Dress codes are not important (also they re very bias) and they should be abolished. I propose two very different ideas for how we could fix this problem, and they re both rather easy. Both are complex, yet simple, both are beautiful, and both are all around, yet cannot be created artificially. The constitution of both is often explored in different forms of art, such as poetry. In her poem, Nature Is What We See, Emily Dickinson uses personification, imagery, contrast, and an extensive use of dashes to convey the theme of nature s dangerous beauty and incredible simplicity, as well as its extreme complexityand the completeness of its unattainability. By personifying nature as a woman, the author captures some of the mystery associated with women, adding to the mystique of nature. Throughout history, nature has often been seen as a woman. This is evidenced in Greek Mythology when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She shows how it encompasses not only the vast expanses of the seas, but also the small, simple squirrel. By using these examples, she demonstrates how truly improbable it is for any human art, mind, or definition to completely see nature in its entirety. Nature is a mystery that humans are unable to solve, yet we continue to try. The complexity of nature is too alluring to the human mind to leave to its own devices. Instead, we analyze it. One way we do this is to write about it. For example, we use imagery in poems to describe it, just as Emily Dickinson did. The use of imagery throughout the poem allows the author to display her perspective on the simplicity of nature. When she describes nature, she often uses small animals, such as a squirrel and a bird called a bobolink, as examples. She then builds on those images with things such as the sea and thunder to add to the effect she created in her poem. Taken by themselves, these creatures and things are simple. However, because she uses all of them together in sequence to describe one concept, the image grows more complex. It creates a sense of contrast that complicates the image, giving it more substance and allowing it to take on a more complete form. These contrasts are all throughout the poem. The various contrasts all through the poem suggest the vast complexity involved in the concept of nature. By mentioning a cricket and then thunder immediately

However, throughout the years fairy tales have undergone great changes, towards the view of woman representation and gender roles. In the contemporary Snow White the values of classical fairy tales have changed offering a new perspective of gender roles and how women are represented. Snow White was to live in the castle and to create jewels for the Queen. The Queen asked the mirror who is the happiest in the land. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything anger, anxiety, or possessions we cannot be free (78). The objective of this paper is to obtain a three phase ac voltage output of 3 phase inverter in Simulation. An inverter receives dc supply as input and generates an ac output. The dc input of 3 phase inverter is obtained by constant dc source. The inverter circuit consists of six IGBTs which are used for conversion of dc to ac supply. Simulation of 3 phase inverter is done in MATLAB software. Keywords: 3 phase inverter, constant dc source, MATLAB software, simulink, THD. Introduction: An inverter is a DC to AC converter, used to convert a dc input voltage into a symmetrical ac output voltage of desired magnitude and frequency. The waveshape of output ac voltage of inverter should be sinusoidal. However, practical inverters give output voltage that are non sinusoidal and contain harmonics. The waveshapes of output voltage are square, quasi square or distorted sinusoidal. Inverters used in low and medium power applications normally give square or quasi square wave output. The second chapter includes several interesting concepts, one of which being the differences between intercultural and interpersonal communication. Intercultural communication is defined as the process that occurs when members of two or more cultures or co cultures exchange messages in a manner that is influenced by their different cultural perceptions and symbol systems, both verbal and nonverbal (Adler et al., 2015, pg. 40). While most interactions seem to have some sense of intercultural aspect due to the great diversity not only in race but in backgrounds today, not all interactions have this effect. Intercultural interactions only occur when there is a difference between the two people in contact that is noticeable and creates a different dynamic in the interaction. The book uses the term salience in order to describe how much weight we attach to a particular person or phenomenon (Adler et al., 2015, pg. 41). The book gives several examples, such as different ethnicities on the same basketball team striving toward a common goal don t place much emphasis in their cultural discrepancies, just as young children from different countries playing together don t experience intercultural communicationuntil they reach an age when they can understand what makes them different from each other. These ratings may change from year to year, and they are very important to insurance companies and consumers. While it won t be impossible to find zero monthly premium Medicare Advantage HMOs in Michigan, the number has been decreasing recently. Insurers may feel more pressure to keep ratings and benefits high than to keep premiums low. Even though there might be fewer no monthly premium Part C plans, rates are still expected to remain modest. Although more beneficiaries are choosing Medicare Advantage, about one in five still decide to buy Medicare supplement insurance. One attraction might be the fact that supplement owners don t need to worry about provider networks and have more choices of specialists. The Shepherd Of The Hills Essay In Harold Bell Wright s novel The Shepherd of the Hills, setting plays a tremendous role in creating an effective story line and contribute multiple aspects to enhance the accountability of the story. Setting is one of the most valuable aspects of a successful novel and plays a part in creating a sense of realness to the reader. Winifred Madison, an author of multiple novels, says that One of the joys of reading is that it takes you somewhere else or, by comparison, makes the place where you live more understandable (1). The Shepherd of the Hills has a setting that the author personally connects to the real world location. In the 1800 s there were very few major towns in the Ozarks and many of the people relied on the mills and church to hear about news and to tell their own stories. Wright harnesses this key factor of the Ozarks to set up several scenes with Jed Holland and Young Matt. The mill is also the place where Young Matt shows off to the people and gives Wash Gibbs motivation to get back at him and his close friends (Chapter 10). This wouldn t be possible without the idea of an entire community coming together to gather at the mill and show off to one another while they have the chance. The isolation factor also contributes by providing a huge gap of knowledge in between the city and the rural country. The Ozark natives are awed and amazed by the city and feel as if the people who live there are all incredibly educated and have more valuable knowledge than the average outdoorsman. Meanwhile the strangers from the city come to the countryside to enter into a life of peace and beauty. Both Daniel Howitt and his son loved the Ozarks because of the life changing experiences that occur there. This gap is caused by the isolation of the Ozarks and creates a two sided story. On one hand the city appears to be the ultimate goal for some woodsmen, while on the other the people leave the city and come to the country because of its remoteness from the hustle and bustle of the city. In the first place, McCain seems to be the only member of Congress who insists on holding hearings and working toward compromise before passing major legislation. This would seem to be the very elemental prerequisite of good government like a doctor seeking a diagnosis before performing surgery but McCain appears to be the only member, or at least the only Republican, willing to risk unpopularity to insist upon a basic respect for our sacred institutions. Public figures are the primary teachers in this mutual education. Our leaders have outsize influence in either weaving the moral order by their good example or ripping it to shreds by their bad example. McCain s career has had its low moments, as all of ours do a banking scandal, Sarah Palin but he exemplifies a practical standard of excellence to an extraordinary degree: enduring in Vietnam, seeking compromise legislation on everything from immigration reform to campaign spending, condemning torture after 9/11. Moreover, I don t think there s another politician now living who devotes so much of his speeches to little biographies of his own exemplars, people like James Stockdale, Bud Day, Morris Udall and Master Sgt. Roy Benavidez. He has turned his own heroes into educational resources for his country, and used them to evangelize our national ideals. These sorts of testimonies help weave a shared moral order, which is necessary to unite, guide and motivate a diverse country. That is an essential bulwark in the age of Trump. That is what needs rebuilding. Books will someday be written on how Trump, this wounded and twisted man, became morally acceptable to tens of millions of Americans. But it must have something to do with the way over the past decades we have divorced private and public morality, as if private narcissism would have no effect on public conduct.
