Essays On Health Care
Crafting an essay on the broad and intricate subject of health care is no easy feat. The
complexity of this topic demands a comprehensive understanding of medical, economic, social,
and political aspects. Juggling between these diverse dimensions requires not only substantial
research but also the ability to synthesize information effectively.
The dynamic nature of the healthcare landscape adds another layer of difficulty. Policies,
technologies, and societal attitudes are constantly evolving, demanding writers to stay abreast of
the latest developments. Balancing the historical context with contemporary issues while
projecting into the future requires a nuanced approach.
Moreover, health care is a deeply sensitive and personal topic. Addressing the diverse
perspectives and opinions on matters such as accessibility, quality, and ethics necessitates a
delicate and thoughtful touch. Striking a balance between empirical evidence and compassionate
understanding is crucial.
The challenge also lies in avoiding oversimplification. Health care is not a monolithic entity; it is
a tapestry woven with numerous threads. Attempting to cover every facet in a limited space can
be overwhelming and may result in superficial analysis.
Additionally, the essayist needs to navigate through the myriad of statistics, studies, and expert
opinions. Selecting relevant and credible sources while discerning biases requires a discerning
eye. Properly citing these sources is equally crucial to maintain the integrity of the essay.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on health care demands not only academic prowess but also a
deep appreciation for the multidimensional nature of the topic. It requires a careful balance of
empathy, objectivity, and a commitment to staying informed. While challenging, mastering this
complexity can lead to a well-rounded and insightful exploration of the critical issues
surrounding health care.
For those seeking assistance in navigating this challenging task, a variety of resources are
available. Similar essays, expertly crafted and covering a wide range of topics, can be ordered on

Moliere s Tartuffe Is Cleante
Moliere s Tartuffe is a piece of literature originating in France during the 17th century,
which was the so called age of Enlightenment or the Age of Reason. Plato would most
likely approve of the message that Moliere tries to push through Tartuffe. That is:
rationality and reason trump all. Plato may not be the most supportive of art and
literature but if it happens to be a medium that lends to his principles of reason, logic,
rationality and above all the maintenance of the social order then he would happily
approve. The type of Enlightenment thinking in western society differs substantially
from the Eastern Asian philosophies. Enlightenment thinkers bring faith in reason,
logic and rationality into the forefront of Western culture. Tartuffe is a piece that is
born into a culture that values the beliefs of the age of rationalism, or practical...

Hypocrisy, passion and emotions are seen as obstacles to the truth and real ideals
as Plato would have seen it. Likewise, religious passion is seen as an obstacle to
true forms of faith and piety. Cleante is the voice of reason because his insight
identifies the real character of Tartuffe. He tries to reason with Orgon, even well
after Tartuffe is exposed and his job could be considered fait accompli. He
continues to promote good sense without being condescending and he is pious
without being overtly religious. Unlike Tartuffe, Cleante s faith is not based on
false devotion. Cleante s respect for the King and for social order is also a sign of the
Age of Reason and the original ideas of the perfect society expressed in Plato s
Republic. Plato would agree with Moliere s support of a civil secular society based
on reason trumping over a religious one based on emotion. Lastly by showing a
healthy mistrust of passion, Cleante serves as an example of the Enlightenment and a

The Legalization Of The Penny In Today s Society
The penny was first legalised by the Coinage Act of 1864. But was not printed until
1906 when Abraham Lincoln was the first historical figures portrayed on a United
States coin. Back when pennies were first made, the value of the penny was
extremely high. But since the time that the penny was first introduced to now, prices
have risen by the extreme. With other coinsand even dollar bills now, the penny is
less likely to be used, except for change. The production of the penny needs to be
ended because it costs more to make than it is worth, it is a hassle to use and it
useless in today s society. The product of the penny cost more to produce than its own
worth. The cost of making the pennies (1.26 cents each) is higher than face value...
(about.com). The United States Mint company is actually losing moneywhen sending
pennies out to different companies and places. The government is losing around 53
million dollars every year by producing the penny, and that price is only raising.

A penny has little value and little buying power, especially compared to what it had
a century ago (savingadvice.com). There is no where you can go and buy
something for one single penny. In the past, stores would have little candies for
one penny. Nowadays since prices have raised so high over the years, vending
machines and most parking meters do not even accept pennies. Most people throw
away 4 cents worth of pennies into the jar (or trash) each day (about.com). Pennies
are so worthless to us that people throw them away! People are throwing away
money. If a person threw away 4 pennies a day and lived for an average of 80 year,
that person would be throwing away 1,168 dollars in their lifetime. Pennies add up
after a long time, but no one keeps them around for that
Pam Taylor Essay
Pam Taylor is a fascinating person. She started out in a small home deep in the
suburbs of Melbourne, with a dream to become a ballet dancer. She met her future
husband at the age of 17, then married a short time later. She hated school, and went
only because of her friends. She has lived in different places, from London to
Germany. She loves teaching, and clothing.
Pam was raised in Melbourne. Her favourite thing to do was to play cops and
robbers with her three brothers, two sisters and other children in the street. She
decided that when she grew up, she would be a ballet dancer, but her family could not
afford lessons. A television was what she deeply wanted, yet the family did not
have enough money for one. But one day her dad came home and said, I have
rented a TV for the holidays. . She was shocked, but also very excited.

The next stage in Pam s life was going to university. She decided to do the teaching
course because she had hated school so much, and wanted to be a teacher she
would have wanted. This was no light endeavour. It is a three year program. She
decided to become a prep teacher, which required another 2 year course. It was very
stressful. When I was a student teacher at a school I was judged quite harshly, and
sometimes this was heartbreaking. After all that training, she got her first job as a
prep teacher at Coburg State School.
She remembers the day the first man landed on the moon. Every single year gathered

student accidently unplugged the cable connected to the TV, just seconds before it
happened. Luckily, Pam quickly re plugged it in, just in
The Impact of Bloody Sunday on Northern Ireland Essay
The Impact of Bloody Sunday on Northern Ireland
Bloody Sunday has made a very big impact on Irelandand events occurring there since
1972.
According to Lord Widgery, the soldiers acted in self defence, therefore it was not
their fault and could not be blamed.
Republicans were very annoyed by this verdict, so in 1998 a new inquiry was started
called The Saville Inquiry . The inquiry has so far cost £130m. The final cost will
be in the region of £150m. An estimated £15 million of net additional costs
arose from the transfer of the hearings to London from Londonderry. The point of
this inquiry was to re examine the evidence of what happened on Bloody Sunday.

The Protestants were suspicious of the Civil Rights Movement. They suspected the
IRA may be involved. The Unionists got the RUC to stop one of their marches and
this led to serious rioting. In the end the British troops were sent over to Northern
Ireland to try and keep order.
The IRA split into two groups; The official IRA who wanted to achieve a United
Ireland, and the Provisional IRA who thought of the British Armyas an army of
occupation and believed violence was the answer and would achieve their goal.
The Provisional IRA shot Gunner Curtis. He was the first British soldier to be killed

The Civil Rights Movement planned a march in Londonderry. British troops fired

Bloody Sunday . After this, Northern Ireland lost its parliament.

Pros And Cons Of Spaying And Neutering Animals
There is research to argue both positive and negative consequences of spaying or
neutering animals. This paper will overview both sides indicating that there are
several benefits of this procedure. Making the decision to spay or neuter a pet can
be a touchy subject for some pet owners and a hard decision to make. Spaying a pet
means to sterilize a female animal by removing the ovaries. Neutering(also referred to
as castration) means to remove the genitalia of a male or female pet but is mainly
used for males. Some may also refer to the procedure as getting the animal fixed but
this terminology holds the same meaning. An estimated 5 to 8 million animals are
euthanized in the United States every year. Many organizations try to reduce these
numbers by opening Spaying and Neutering clinics to prevent the increase in pet
populations. Some against castration say that spaying and... Show more content on

It was not uncommon to see advertisements for free kittens and puppies to a good

more households today have cats and dogs that are kept inside and treated like a
family member (Jordan). A typical behavior one might observe with a cat or dogis
the desire to roam the environment. Animals like to explore surroundings for many
reasons (Hopkins, Schubert, and Hart 9). The pet might be wanting to mark territory
by urinating on grass, trees, and fire hydrants. Instinctively, animals want to breed.
Sexual hormones increase motivation to want to roam and find other animals to
breed with during or after the natural cycle. Unfortunately, a roaming animal might
roam into a person that will hurt the animal or into traffic where the chances of
being hit by a car is increased. Spaying and neutering animals decreases the desire to
roam away from their home by decreasing sex hormones
Helen Keller Speech
As humans, it is only natural to take countless things for granted as we live our
daily lives. There is beauty that surrounds us like the majestic Rocky Mountains,
the crisp blue skies, birds sweetly singing in the early morning, or even the simple
sound of someone s loving voice. People are born with the ability to see and hear
the everyday activities going on around them but for some less fortunate, these
abilities are not a characteristic they possess. Living as a deaf or blind person in
today s society certainly would have its challenges but can you imagine the
obstacles and battles for someone who was deaf, dumb and blind living life over
one hundred years ago? One incredible woman was faced with such a challenge and
she accomplished more in her lifetime than most women did with out any handicap
and her name is Helen Keller. Helen Keller is a celebrated woman in American
history who accomplished countless achievements and paved the way for the deaf
and blind community by inspiring millions and showing how to prove yourself when
the odds are stacked against you.
Before the age of two, Helen was diagnosed with a disease that took away her
ability to see and hear. Her disease was rare and hard to understand and her doctor
referred to it as brain fever but may have been scarlet fever or meningitis. As a young
girl, she had minimal ways to communicate. Often, she would express herself through
throwing tantrums or by laughing uncontrollably. Helen states in her book The

Organic Foods And Organic Food Essay
Organic food is one of the fast growing markets in the world. Only in the U.S.,
retail sales of organic foods were $6.2 billion in 2015: California made up the
biggest part of the country s organic food market, with $2.436 billion of total sales;
Colorado was on the ninth place with $155 million of total sales ( 2015 Certified
Organic Survey 9). Today, organic products are available in almost every
conventional grocery store and often have a higher price over conventional products.
In fact, the majority of consumers believe that organic products do not contain
pesticides or antibiotics, and they are better for health and the environment. Because
the U.S. Department of Agriculture regulates the use of the Organic and USDA
Organic labels, it is a primary driver of the marketing success of organic products in
the U.S. Misunderstanding of the principles and practices of organic farming, labels
and quality of organic food, values and motivations of consumers, have made many
debates in our society.
The Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 established uniform national standards
for foods labeled as organic . Now, the label organic is used to show that food or
another agricultural product has been produced through methods and practices
defined by the U.S.

Wild Cat Falling Belonging Analysis
How are Australian identity and culture represented in the texts you have studied?
While some texts choose to represent the Australian landscape as being harsh and
untamed, others appear to present them in a more positive fashion. However, when
we get to the heart of each text, it s context and purpose we find a common theme of
connection with the land within them. In this analysis I will be using Wild Cat
Falling by Mudrooroo, My Country by Dorothea Mackellar and The Drovers Wife by
Henry Lawson. Wild Cat falling represents the main character as having a
disconnection with the Australian landscape, which leads to him having an identity
crisis, not knowing where he belongs. My Country represents the authors connection

Cervantes
Cervantes greatest work, Don Quixote, is a unique book of
multiple dimensions. From the moment of its appearance it
has amused readers or caused them to think, and its
influence has extended in literature not only to works of
secondary value but also to those which have universal
importance. Don Quixote is a country gentleman, an
enthusiastic visionary crazed by his reading of romances of
chivalry, who rides forth to defend the oppressed and to
right wrongs; so vividly was he presented by Cervantes that
many languages have borrowed the name of the hero as the
common term to designate a person inspired by lofty and
impractical ideals.
The theme of the book, in brief, concerns Hidalgo Alonso
Quijano, who, because of his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

morality thus become intermingled with the psychological
and aesthetic experience of each individual reader in a way
that vastly stimulated the development of the literary genre
later known as the novel, and Fielding, Dickens, Flaubert,
Stendhal, Dostoyevsky, and many others have thus been
inspired by Cervantes. In Madame Bovary, is Gustave
Flaubert, for example, the heroine changes the orientation
of her life because she, like Don Quixote, has read her
romances of chivalry, the romantic novels of the nineteenth
century.
Cervantes demonstrated to the Western world how poetry
and fantasy could coexist with the experience of reality
which is perceptible to the senses. He did this by
presenting poetic reality, which previously had been
confined to the ideal region of dream, as something
experienced by a real person, and the dream thus became
the reality of any man living his dream. Therefore, the
trivial fact that a poor hidalgo loses his reason for one cause
or another is of little importance. The innovation is that
Don Quixote s madness is converted into the theme of his
life and into a theme for the life of other people, who are
affected as much by the madness of the hidalgo as is he
himself. Some want him to revert to his condition of a
peaceful and sedentary hidalgo; others would like him to
keep on amusing or stupefying people with his deeds,
The Key Objective Of A Great Facilitator
The main objective of a great facilitator is to development a team that is cohesive
and cooperative, producing results that make the group the most effective and
efficient unit possible. However, this is not always the case. Building a team that
flourishes in any situation can be a daunting endeavor. Many individuals
unknowingly lack the skills necessary to be a great facilitator. Roger Schwarz
(2002), has created nine ground rules for honing a more effective group. When these
nine ground rules are applied and executed by a team, any facilitator will be able to
produce a more effective and efficient group. Furthermore, by becoming familiar
with the ground rules, you can watch a group and identify specifically what is
happening that is enhancing or hindering the group s process (Schwarz, 2002 p. 96).
Schwarz s (2002), nine ground rules are as followed respectively, test assumptions
and inferences, share all relevant information, use specific examples and agree on
what important words mean, explain your reasoningand intent, focus on interests, not
positions, combine advocacy and inquiry, jointly design next steps and ways to test
disagreements, discuss undiscussable issues, and us a decision making rule that
generates the level of commitment needed (p. 97).
Purpose and Nature of Group
For a group to optimize its effectiveness, the formal leader cannot perform all of the
leadership functions in all circumstances at all times, and all group members must
assist each
Southern Cassowary In Australia
Habitat:
The most common habitat that the Southern Cassowary is located in, is tropical
rainforests. This is because it requires an abundance of fleshy fruit for nutrition and
ease of access to these fruits. More necessities for habitation include steady water
supply and shelter, and locations available for nesting. These three contributors as
well as other minorities are the reason that the Southern Cassowary lives in this sort
of environment. Further studies show that Cassowaries are more abundant in arears
of flat terrain and a permanent supply of water. This also accounts for the fact that
they live in areas that contain dense vegetation like woodlands and shrubbery.

VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY
The main process that was used to ensure the validity of the information in this
assessment and the reliability was to firstly check the basis for all sites. For
example, if the site was a .ORG or .GOV etc. This infers that the information came
from an educational or government source, which most have to be approved to be
put up as a webpage.
Another process was going to different sites and Fact Checking . That is , going to
different websites and ensuring that at least 3 had the same fact or basis for a fact as
was required.
Another way that was used in this assessment was getting the information needed
from more than one source. This follows on from the previous statement and
strengthens the validity of the information provided. This means that instead of just
using a singular website or book, multiple were used to ensure that the facts and
information were widespread and accurate
Similarities Between Letters And Letters
Kate Moss said For when all else is done, only words remain. Words endure. People
use letter and call to communicate with other people. There are various tools to
talk with people, and letters and calls are two of them. A letter is a document that
we write to someone. A call is an action that we can talk with someone by using a
phone. However, there are some differences. Sending letters takes a lot of time to
receive, but calling does not needlong time to get answer. When we send letters, we
can respond whatever they want. In contrast, when we call, we can respond soon.
Although there are several different points between letters and calls, they are similar
in communication, transmission, and practicality. The first similaritybetween letters
and calls is in communication. We can connect with people by using these two....

When we want to send letters or to call, we need some things. For instance, when
we want to send a letter, we need the zip code. Also, letters need an intermediary
between a sender and a recipient. We have to go to the post office to send letters.
In addition, we need money. A stamp that we put on the letters costs about 80 yen.
Like letters, we need phone number when we call. Also, there is an intermediary
between the sender and the recipient. Electronic waves are used to call. Moreover,
we need 60 yen as a telephone charges. To sum up, they are similar in transmission.
Final similarity between letters and calling is in practicality. They have advantages
to use. For example, in letters, we can tell what we want to say. We can express
whole things that we have in our mind. Furthermore, we can send them by a
mailman, so we do not have to meet. Just like letters, we can call to tell our
situation. Additionally, we do not make an opportunity to see face while we call.
Therefore, calling can express our feelings with only our voices. Indeed, they have

Argumentative Essay On Otto Frank
The Holocaust was a brutal time for the Jews living throughout the European

result, many Jewish families went into hiding; residing in the homes and offices

Personal Values Centered On The Right Person For The Job
Sarah perceived her personal values centered on the candidate being the right type
of person for the job. She felt that it was important to her that the candidate has
values and characteristics which in her opinion make them the right person for the
job. Sarah posted that a nurse can have a lot of experience and have all of the
technical skills, but if they have no bedside manner or respect for their co workers
the she does not want to hire them. She believes that it is healthy to have a positive
social intelligence in the workplace and in order to help with this she would want to
hire someone that she believe can work with people and has not just professional but
personal values.
Sarah felt that it is very easy to be biased and a nurse manager needs to be thinking
during the interview does this candidate meet the qualifications for the job? Sarah
posted that the manager should focus most on qualifications instead of personal
opinions. She thinks that interviewers can make mistakes, it is very hard not to.
She responded that you may only see the good in people, which isn t realistic. Or
you may only see the bad. Also a mistake can be does the manager think about
would the candidate be good for the job in the future ( a year later). Because if the
new hire is going to quickly leave the job they are probably not the best candidate. It
is easy to have bias or make mistakes, the manager needs to just do the best they can.

In Israel, the Arabs were the ones, especially unhappy with the police due to the
hostile and militaristic treatment from the police. The article outlines different ways
to possibly mitigate these issues. First, the police should focus on fairness when
treating citizens, as well as focus on traditional police, not just counter terrorism.
There was very little this article cited on the effectiveness of specific strategies and
empirical studies in Israel have been lacking on this subject, this is due to the
sensitive nature of the information regarding counter terrorism.
When comparing the legitimacy framework for Israel and other western nations,
including the United States they all share similar important factors for police
legitimacy including procedural justice and fairness of the process. In Israel the
amount of people who see the process as fair, the amount of neutrality and
transparency, the respect police give, and the ability to participate have been lacking.
This is largely due to the increased amount of counter terrorism in recent time,
especially during the Intifada and other uprisings. The amount of community policing
in Israel was found to be weak. The Israeli police should consider increasing the
implementation of community policing to improve community trust and support.
Research has shown that the relations between the police and Israeli Arabs can be

Analysis Of Sylvia Plath s Poem Sheep Of Fog
a short story written after Sylvia Plath s poem Sheep In Fog
Sylvia Plath was a good woman and very gorgeous, one day who fell into a trench
of depression, but continues living her life with feelings of depression. In many
ways, she was like a grateful, dead flower in the garden. Solitary and pessimistic, she
was full of bad intentions where she had attempted suicide many times. She had
exemplified herself as a slow horse s movement, and her writing was full of darkness
and gloom due to rational isolation and threatening death. She believed in betrayal, in
disappointing everyone around her, in hard work, and in the features of simplicity
and multifaceted imageries. Like a death flower, Ms. Plath was also worried about
her desolation. At the same time, she was very passionate for death. In a foggy
December, near the mountains, there were herds of sheep who were walking
down the hill. They were eating green grass in the cold and within the white
smoke, where everything seemed so gentle and serene. One day, I saw Ms. Plath
riding a horse down the hill as the cold breeze was hitting her skin, her hair was
flying all over her face, and enjoying the view around her. That s where she also
saw the clouds from the peak during her horse ride where the Great Salt Lake in
which the water was freezing ice, and the penguins were walking in the snow near the
igloo house, where a lot of houses seemed like no one had lived there for centuries.
At the igloo house, there were no
Greek Chorus in History
THE GREEK CHORUS SMALL PLACE IN HISTORY The history of the Greek
Chorus can be traced back to a relatively small time period; from the original
Dithyrambs, to Thespis small, but revolutionizing changes to the system, to
Aeschylus triple entente of tragedies The Oresteia, which included the infamous
Agamemnon. To truly understand the Greek Chorus, and what role it was meant to
play when it was created and thereafter altered, one has to go back to the beginning
of timeВ…which in this case happens to be somewhere around the seventh century,
B.C. During this time, the festival of Dionysus was held annually in Athens to
celebrate and honor the god for which it was named. Dionysus, being the Greek (and
Roman) god of wine and of an... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Clytemnestra speaks to the chorus that the Achaeans had taken Troy that
very night, they are skeptical and poke fun at her in their disbelief. Yet how can I
be certain? Is there some evidence?... Is it dream visions, easy to believe, you
credit?... The charm, then, of some rumor, that made rich your hope? (Grene and
Lattimore 13) To be fair, Clytemnestra s not the only one who s been unfaithful;
Agamemnon came home with his new slave, Cassandra, who happens to be the
sister of Paris and Hector. And while Agamemnon hasn t really been true to his
wife, it really wasn t considered a bad thing for a man to have more than one partner
in those timesВ…if anything, it was applauded by all but the original partner(s) of
the promiscuous man and some of the more snobbish common women. It was a bad
thing for a woman to have more than one male partner, however, because women
were allowed very little rights. But more to the topic, the chorus acquired some
sympathy from the audience for, not only their King Agamemnon, but also to his new
lady, Cassandra.

Correlational Research
In my chosen field of school psychology, correlational research is a great research
method in order to build various support groups, interventions, and an overall warm
school climate. One topic that I am specifically interested in is the relation of self
esteem and bullying. I would predict that there would be a negative correlation
between the two variables, as I believe that bullyingis prominently done by those
students whom have lower levels of self esteem.
Research Question: How is self esteem related to bullying?
I believe that this research question would be most supported by correlational
research because the results will allow me to see if there is a relationship between
self esteem and bullying. If I find that there is in fact a relationship, then I will have
the ability to build programs within the school that focus on self esteem in order to
reduce, or stop, bullying from happening. To begin, I would assign self esteem as the
predictor variable and bullying as the outcome variable.
For this study, I would seek all students attending 3 different schools in the same city,
or area. I would want one school that reports very little bullying, a school that reports
an average amount of bullying, and one school that reports extreme amounts of
bullying. I believe that the three different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Mars Of The Martian
Mars Colony Essay For many years, people have envisaged a colony on Mars.
Though the task may be daunting to some, the ideas and resources needed to
sustain a colony on Mars is very important. The similarities and differences between
the ideas presented will be analyzed so that the ideas that will form the future for
Earth can be used. Moreover, these ideas will also be compared and contrasted to
those from the movie, The Martian. In the MarsX colony, the government was a
popular sovereignty, in other words the people s say. The Mars X colony was
established on ground rules that stated that everyone shall be equal no matter how
wealthy one may be. This can also be said for the other colonies. In the other

The Hellas Planitia colony chose to bring livestock embryos and seeds. The
livestock embryos could be fertilized and the animal would be born. This would be
effective because the livestock embryos would weigh less, than the animal itself.
Something else that made the Mars X colony stand by itself was its all organic
way. Unlike other colonies, that brought GMO foods or frozen food, the Mars X
colony didn t do that. The goal was to give fresh food so that the people on Mars
will have a healthy diet. Since GMO foods have chemicals, the Mars X colony
didn t want any unwanted stuff in the body. In the Martian, Mark Watney used his
own feces to plant potatoes. This is similar to the Mars X colony and others did
hydroponic farming. Since human feces will have nutrients that weren t taken into
the digestive system, those nutrients will be able to help the plants grow. In
hydroponic farming, the nutrients are delivered in a water solvent so that the
plants can absorb the vitamins and minerals they need. In conclusion, both ways of
obtaining food were similar. In order for all of this to happen to happen you need
energy. Though there were many similarities between how the colonies would
receive energy and the Martian, but other colonies used extra energy sources. The
Hellas Planitia colony said that they would get energy by solar panels and other
means. Mostly all of the colonies stated that they would use solar panels, because of
the simplicity. Since Mars wasn t shrouded
The Effect Of Iq Scores
James Flynn (1984, 1987, 2007) conducted comprehensive studies of several
intelligence tests and he concluded a long term upward tendency of performance of
IQ scores, by approximately 1 IQ point per every 4 to 5 years. This tendency is
termed as Flynn effect by Herrnstein and Murray (1994) and it varies in different
countries over different time periods. For example the United States developed by
3 points every decade between 1932 and 1978, in Estonia by 1.65 points between
1932 and 2006, Japan gained 7.7 between 1940 and 165, Argentina s gains was 6.91
between 164 and 1998 (Williams, 2013). However, this must be interpreted with
caution as the progression of the IQ increase does not necessary mean that the general
intelligenceadvanced (Urbina, 2014). The Flynn effectcan be explained by several
approaches however these interpretations are not completely explanatory and some
have been found contradictory. A multi level environmental explanation was provided
by Niesser (1998), he argues that the IQ rise occurred due to the tendency which took
part in the second part of the 20th century in some countries where better nutrition,
improved care during pregnancy, urbanization, schooling, television, greater
environmental complexity and pre school surroundings were found. Regarding
schooling and education difficulties arise, as education is unlikely to cause the
changes in all data sets (Williams, 2013). The Flynn effect was rather found in non
scholastic factors, meanwhile
The Existence Of Miracles By David Hume
When thinking about the claims that are made about the man on the tightrope
there are several lenses one can focus on. Through these varying views, the man on
the tightrope is being inspected, as well as his greater world and the fly that he
sees disappear and reappear in front of him. This shows there is an extensive
variation of facts to be examined for and against the case of miracles. Consequently,
the authors included in the book, In Defense of Miracles, each considers different
important details as the defining factors in the debate of the existence of miracles. Of
those, some focus more heavily on the likelihood of miracles themselves such as
Hume, others focus on the existence of Godsuch as Flew and Beck, and others focus
on a particular example of a miracle such as Craig.
Against Miracles: David Hume
David Hume argues against miracles and states that they are improbable because
most are reported by those who deceive others, the sensation of wonder that
overrides the sense of reasoning, or because they are inapplicable to our scientific
culture today. Hume addresses that in essentially all cases, the probability of a
miracle truly happening, in comparison to any one of his listed reason, is highly
improbable. He does not implicitly state why miracles cannot occur.
In his first argument, Hume addresses the tendency of humans to deceive. In his view

Third option of reminder ads, which do not seem to be the best strategy at any
other given time, as mentioned by Casola, there is no point in having an ad that
creates brand awareness where you cannot even tell that the product is an hair loss

brand awareness would be empty inside, but along with working with doctors,
mostly dematologists who would be more eager to prescribe Propecia, and urging
people to see a dermatologists in the ads, would be the best of the options. This way,

The Use of Performance Enhancing Drugs in Sports Today
Performance enhancers are very prominent in professional sports today. A lot of
players are facing suspensions and other penalties for using them. The sport that gets
scrutinized the most for this is Baseball. Many former users in the MLB (or
formally the NABBP) have come out saying that they were using these drugs while
playing. Some of these players are Jorge Sosa, Antonio Bastardo, and the famous
Alex Rodriguez. Although these drugs have been prohibited, players are still finding
ways around the tests which is why in some other countries they are legal so that no
one player can have an unfair advantage. There have been many arguments and
disputes about the origin of the sport known as baseball. This has led many people to
wonder where America s favorite pastime came from. Some people believe that the
sport has taken shape from a primeval community game called rounders. Other
historical sources remark that Thomas Wilson condemned this game and a few
other sports. In England he was considered a conformist leader. These speculations
have led to curiosity to the game of stool ball. In this game, the batter would stand in
front of a stool while a different person pitched him the ball. If the batter s ball was
caught in the field he would be out. Also, if the ball hit the stool that was behind the
batter, he would again be out. (http://www.historyofbaseball.us/)

The Political Power Of Voting
Everyone has a problem with the government, whether it is paying too much in
taxes, military spending or the political power in office. We all for the most part
want to see some sort of change for the better, but rarely does anyone ever exercise a
plan to put that change in motion. Our government using a simple but efficient tactic
can address these types issues purely through the power of voting. Yet over forty
percent of Americans didn t vote in the 2012 presidential elections, as America ranks
twentieth out of twenty one countries in voter turnout. This is rapidly growing into a
serious problem marring our generation and the future of our country. We the
people have the power to show our governing body that we are interested in the
well being of our nation while educating ourselves in the process. Voting is fast,
easy and puts the power into the individual by actively trying to better the United
States. By passing a law that requires all eligible U.S. citizens to vote in all voting
sessions, we will put a stop to voter apathy by completely integrating the entire
nation in American politics. Most people in our society do not hold very much
power with an obvious one percent controlling most of the wealth and influence. Due
to this control, ordinary everyday, working class Americans do not have the
opportunity to be as involved with international, national or even domestic affairs.
Considering how busy most people are, some argue that voting is a waste of valuable
time as
Cicero And Livy
Concepts and ideas of the United States political system is shaped by how Ancient
Romans viewed and interpreted justice in society. Roman philosophers and politicians
influenced the Founders of the United States and shaped our political and justice
system. The Roman concept of justice plays a large and important role in the way
Americans view and perceive justice. Justice, interpreted by Sellers, Livy, Aurelius,
Foucalt, and Sallust all influence and inform Americans belief of the relationship
between justice and politics. Sellers, in his book, American Republicanism, delves
into the topic of justice in Ancient Roman politics. He discusses the interpretations of
justice that are described by famous politician and historian, Cicero and Livy. Sellers
then draws similarities between Cicero and Livy s interpretations with the
interpretations of men who were important in the finding of the United States, such as
James Madison or John Adams. John Adams was an advocate for justice in the

to Foucalt, is receiving what one deserves in society. He emphasizes that it is

Foucault states that it is very important to practice the virtues in their most general

Revolutionary War Causes
In 1775, British forces in Massachusetts were ordered to disarm the American
rebels and arrest the leaders. The Revolutionary War broke out on April 19, 1775
when fighting broke out the two sides (British and Americans), at the Battle of
Lexington and Concord. There were many factors leading up to the war. One
factor was that Stamp act. This was a factor due to the colonists having to pay a
tax on every piece of paper they used. Many colonists didn t agree on this act and
other acts such as the Townshend Acts, and the Intolerable Acts. Another cause of
the war was the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Blockade, and the Boston Massacre.
The Boston Tea party was a protest of the Tea Act. American colonists dressed as
Mohawk Indians and went on the three British ships and threw 342 chest of the into
the Boston Harbor. The Boston Massacre was a street fight between British forces

Also, they were fighting a popular war a majority of the colonists were patriots who

no previous military experience, their militia units were usually close knit bands of
men, who served together in defense of their own homes. They elected their own

Risk Management Issues From Electricity Industry
2.0 RISK MANAGEMENT ISSUES FROM ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY. Risk
management is an important part of any business, before you manage a risk u must
identified the risk involved in that business first. In electricity industry companies are
exposure to higher risks today than the early part of the sector (European Union of
the electricity industry, 2006). Exposures to regulatory and market risks, to be
specific, have it increased notably which can lead to either negative or positive impact
on profit limits. In many European countries today, deregulation forced divide the
ownership between non regulated and regulated activities, leaving portion of the
business such as wholesale, generation and retail without the protection of stable,
measured cash flow. In electricity industry we have four main risks facing the sector
which are the market risk, operational risk, credit risk and business risk.
MARKET RISK
This is the risk of financial gain or loss due to exposure to movement in market
prices. The four standard market risks are currency risk, equity index risk, interest
rate risk and commodity risk. Currency risk is a financial risk that occurs when a
financial transactions is denominated in a currency other than that of the company
based currency. Equity index risk is the financial risk that has to do with the holding
equity in a specific investment. The risk in equity can be measure with the standard

Primate Behavior And Human Primates
introduction
Have you ever noticed that we love to observe primates? You may not realize it,
but it is because we know how closely related we are to them. By observing and
studying contemporary primate behavior we are able to better understand our own
evolution as hominins. Studying primate behavior, especially locomotion and
cooperation, has allowed us to discover the evolution of behaviors to where we are
now. Locomotion and cooperation are two main behaviors that define hominins and
the evolution of humans overall. locomotion The first behavior, locomotion, is well
known for hominins because of the evolution to bipedalism. Bipedal locomotion
allows for the carrying of objects, provisioning family, and efficiency of energy,
among many other reasons. Not all primates are bipedal. Chimpanzees can walk both
bipedally and quadrupedally. They have been a common point of reference for a
better understanding of the evolution of bipedal locomotion in early ape like
hominins. Many studies have looked into the evolution of walking quadrupedally to
bipedally. These bipedal performances of contemporary non humanprimates have
given important context that can help in reconstructing early hominin bipedalism.
Many anthropologists claim that biomechanical models link locomotor performance
to anatomy and have the potential to reveal robust form function relationships,
however, this is only given to the extent that locomotor performance of chimpanzees
and other species are shown to fit
How Did Confucius Admire Written Laws
To begin, Confucius was one of the best lawgivers in Chinese history. Confucius
did not respect or admire the written laws of his legal system, he believed that
experienced rulers were the best people to provide justice. The legal system of the
United States runs on the rule of law and it is for the people, which is stated directly
in the constitution. The rule of law means, that everyone is accountable and held to
the standard of the law that is laid out by the constitution. I believe that this is fair
because here in The United Statesno matter how much power or wealth you have,
everyone is under the law and has to follow the law written by the law makers. For
example, the leader of North Korea does exactly what he wants when he wants and

companies that are using services and products to make this happen; such as EMC

The cloud is increasingly becoming a very common reality in the IT industry. The
idea of storing files in places other than the hard drive of a computer or the server in
the next room has opened a door for new beginnings and unending possibilities. Many
companies have IT departments that are internal to their company. Without these IT
departments many companies would have many non working computers, networks,
and other office devices that would hinder the business from making money. The
current IT infrastructure is mostly maintained and operated in house by contracted
employees that usually have a great knowledge of general electronics and
computers. Being that IT is so important to how companies work it is always under
scrutiny to continue to develop. With the cloud in mind there has recently been talk
about how IT could use the cloud to advance their efforts. Information Technology
as a Service (ITaaS) has become a new reality for some companies. The idea is that
IT organizations can use the cloud to move away from an Infrastructure platform to a
Service model.
This ITaaS model promotes IT being setup to be much more effective than it currently

Tesco, as a major food manufacturer, in a very competitive market sector, it is the
UK s largest grocer and the most successful Internet supermarket. The recent history
of Tesco is the story of a retailer s successful evolution: its diversification into new
businesses and in particular its leap frogging of long standing market leader
Sainsbury s to become the number one UK retailer. As self service high street
supermarkets were superseded by superstores and megastores, consumers became
anonymous in exchange for improved choice and value. With the global business
strategy, competitive advantage usually comes from common global brands and from
concentrated production activity that has been sited to deliver significant economies
of scale and resource souring. There may be some adjustment of the product or
service for local needs but essentially it is the same around the world. The term
globalisation is used to cover three main area, which is globalisation of economies,
trade activities and regulatory regimes; globalisation of industries; morality of
globalisation. Under this generation, Tesco launched some project to meet different
needs from different customers. Such as launched Clubcard to win customer loyalty.

interventions of the therapy, such as reframing and restructuring. Ana will also
experience this through problem solving patterns and her transition into being a
mother.
Theory Duration:
The strategic family therapy can be done in 8 to 24 sessions. But Szapocznik,
believe that the therapy lasts over three months for 12 to 24 sessions. The duration of
this theory is brief and short term in the counselling process because it is problem

Balancing the historical context with contemporary issues while projecting into the future requires a nuanced approach. Moreover, health care is a deeply sensitive and personal topic. Addressing the diverse perspectives and opinions on matters such as accessibility, quality, and ethics necessitates a delicate and thoughtful touch. Striking a balance between empirical evidence and compassionate understanding is crucial. The challenge also lies in avoiding oversimplification. Additionally, the essayist needs to navigate through the myriad of statistics, studies, and expert opinions. Selecting relevant and credible sources while discerning biases requires a discerning eye. Properly citing these sources is equally crucial to maintain the integrity of the essay. In conclusion, tackling an essay on health care demands not only academic prowess but also a deep appreciation for the multidimensional nature of the topic. It requires a careful balance of empathy, objectivity, and a commitment to staying informed. While challenging, mastering this complexity can lead to a well-rounded and insightful exploration of the critical issues surrounding health care. • 2. Moliere s Tartuffe Is Cleante Moliere s Tartuffe is a piece of literature originating in France during the 17th century, which was the so called age of Enlightenment or the Age of Reason. Plato would most likely approve of the message that Moliere tries to push through Tartuffe. That is: rationality and reason trump all. Plato may not be the most supportive of art and literature but if it happens to be a medium that lends to his principles of reason, logic, rationality and above all the maintenance of the social order then he would happily approve. He tries to reason with Orgon, even well after Tartuffe is exposed and his job could be considered fait accompli. He continues to promote good sense without being condescending and he is pious without being overtly religious. Unlike Tartuffe, Cleante s faith is not based on false devotion. Cleante s respect for the King and for social order is also a sign of the Age of Reason and the original ideas of the perfect society expressed in Plato s Republic. Plato would agree with Moliere s support of a civil secular society based on reason trumping over a religious one based on emotion. Lastly by showing a healthy mistrust of passion, Cleante serves as an example of the Enlightenment and a Platonic man in Moliere s play

Cervantes demonstrated to the Western world how poetry and fantasy could coexist with the experience of reality which is perceptible to the senses. He did this by presenting poetic reality, which previously had been confined to the ideal region of dream, as something experienced by a real person, and the dream thus became the reality of any man living his dream. Therefore, the trivial fact that a poor hidalgo loses his reason for one cause or another is of little importance. The innovation is that Don Quixote s madness is converted into the theme of his life and into a theme for the life of other people, who are affected as much by the madness of the hidalgo as is he himself. Some want him to revert to his condition of a peaceful and sedentary hidalgo; others would like him to keep on amusing or stupefying people with his deeds,

The Key Objective Of A Great Facilitator The main objective of a great facilitator is to development a team that is cohesive and cooperative, producing results that make the group the most effective and efficient unit possible. However, this is not always the case. Building a team that flourishes in any situation can be a daunting endeavor. Many individuals unknowingly lack the skills necessary to be a great facilitator. Roger Schwarz (2002), has created nine ground rules for honing a more effective group. When these nine ground rules are applied and executed by a team, any facilitator will be able to produce a more effective and efficient group. Furthermore, by becoming familiar with the ground rules, you can watch a group and identify specifically what is happening that is enhancing or hindering the group s process (Schwarz, 2002 p. 96). Schwarz s (2002), nine ground rules are as followed respectively, test assumptions and inferences, share all relevant information, use specific examples and agree on what important words mean, explain your reasoningand intent, focus on interests, not positions, combine advocacy and inquiry, jointly design next steps and ways to test disagreements, discuss undiscussable issues, and us a decision making rule that generates the level of commitment needed (p. 97). Greek Chorus in History THE GREEK CHORUS SMALL PLACE IN HISTORY The history of the Greek Chorus can be traced back to a relatively small time period; from the original Dithyrambs, to Thespis small, but revolutionizing changes to the system, to Aeschylus triple entente of tragedies The Oresteia, which included the infamous Agamemnon. To truly understand the Greek Chorus, and what role it was meant to play when it was created and thereafter altered, one has to go back to the beginning of timeВ…which in this case happens to be somewhere around the seventh century, B.C. During this time, the festival of Dionysus was held annually in Athens to celebrate and honor the god for which it was named. Dionysus, being the Greek (and Roman) god of wine and of an... (Grene and Lattimore 13) To be fair, Clytemnestra s not the only one who s been unfaithful; Agamemnon came home with his new slave, Cassandra, who happens to be the sister of Paris and Hector. And while Agamemnon hasn t really been true to his wife, it really wasn t considered a bad thing for a man to have more than one partner in those timesВ…if anything, it was applauded by all but the original partner(s) of the promiscuous man and some of the more snobbish common women. It was a bad thing for a woman to have more than one male partner, however, because women were allowed very little rights. But more to the topic, the chorus acquired some sympathy from the audience for, not only their King Agamemnon, but also to his new lady, Cassandra.

Correlational Research In my chosen field of school psychology, correlational research is a great research method in order to build various support groups, interventions, and an overall warm school climate. One topic that I am specifically interested in is the relation of self esteem and bullying. I would predict that there would be a negative correlation between the two variables, as I believe that bullyingis prominently done by those students whom have lower levels of self esteem. Research Question: How is self esteem related to bullying? I believe that this research question would be most supported by correlational research because the results will allow me to see if there is a relationship between self esteem and bullying. If I find that there is in fact a relationship, then I will have the ability to build programs within the school that focus on self esteem in order to reduce, or stop, bullying from happening. To begin, I would assign self esteem as the predictor variable and bullying as the outcome variable. For this study, I would seek all students attending 3 different schools in the same city, or area. The Effect Of Iq Scores James Flynn (1984, 1987, 2007) conducted comprehensive studies of several intelligence tests and he concluded a long term upward tendency of performance of IQ scores, by approximately 1 IQ point per every 4 to 5 years. This tendency is termed as Flynn effect by Herrnstein and Murray (1994) and it varies in different countries over different time periods. For example the United States developed by 3 points every decade between 1932 and 1978, in Estonia by 1.65 points between 1932 and 2006, Japan gained 7.7 between 1940 and 165, Argentina s gains was 6.91 between 164 and 1998 (Williams, 2013). However, this must be interpreted with caution as the progression of the IQ increase does not necessary mean that the general intelligenceadvanced (Urbina, 2014). The Flynn effectcan be explained by several approaches however these interpretations are not completely explanatory and some have been found contradictory. A multi level environmental explanation was provided by Niesser (1998), he argues that the IQ rise occurred due to the tendency which took part in the second part of the 20th century in some countries where better nutrition, improved care during pregnancy, urbanization, schooling, television, greater environmental complexity and pre school surroundings were found. Regarding schooling and education difficulties arise, as education is unlikely to cause the changes in all data sets (Williams, 2013). The Flynn effect was rather found in non scholastic factors, meanwhile
  • 29. The Existence Of Miracles By David Hume When thinking about the claims that are made about the man on the tightrope there are several lenses one can focus on. Through these varying views, the man on the tightrope is being inspected, as well as his greater world and the fly that he sees disappear and reappear in front of him. This shows there is an extensive variation of facts to be examined for and against the case of miracles. Consequently, the authors included in the book, In Defense of Miracles, each considers different important details as the defining factors in the debate of the existence of miracles. Of those, some focus more heavily on the likelihood of miracles themselves such as Hume, others focus on the existence of Godsuch as Flew and Beck, and others focus on a particular example of a miracle such as Craig. Against Miracles: David Hume David Hume argues against miracles and states that they are improbable because most are reported by those who deceive others, the sensation of wonder that overrides the sense of reasoning, or because they are inapplicable to our scientific culture today. Hume addresses that in essentially all cases, the probability of a miracle truly happening, in comparison to any one of his listed reason, is highly improbable. He does not implicitly state why miracles cannot occur. In his first argument, Hume addresses the tendency of humans to deceive. In his view ...there is not to be found, in all history, any miracle attested by a sufficient number of men... (34). He believes

By observing and studying contemporary primate behavior we are able to better understand our own evolution as hominins. Studying primate behavior, especially locomotion and cooperation, has allowed us to discover the evolution of behaviors to where we are now. Locomotion and cooperation are two main behaviors that define hominins and the evolution of humans overall. locomotion The first behavior, locomotion, is well known for hominins because of the evolution to bipedalism. Bipedal locomotion allows for the carrying of objects, provisioning family, and efficiency of energy, among many other reasons. Not all primates are bipedal. Chimpanzees can walk both bipedally and quadrupedally. They have been a common point of reference for a better understanding of the evolution of bipedal locomotion in early ape like hominins.
