The West Fertilizer Plant Explosion
There are disasters occurring all around the world that most individuals will not hear of due to a
lack of media coverage. Many of these disasters can have incredibly detrimental effects on entire
populations, and those at risk deserve a chance to educate themselves. Two of the disasters found
were the West Fertilizer plant explosion and the increasing rate of acidification of ocean water.
Despite the fact that these disasters pose such incredible dangers, they were found to be among the
least reported on stories amongst media outlets. Although these disasters have not been covered
nearly as much as other major catastrophes, such as hurricane Katrina, they still have far reaching
physical and emotional consequences and have their own unique story. The West Fertilizer
company located in West, Texas was in the business of chemical manufacturing and distribution.
The night of April 17, 2013, an explosion occurred as authorities were attempting to extinguish a
fire that had broken out earlier that day. The primary explosive agent was found to be ammonium
nitrate, a chemical used as fertilizer in agriculture, which West Fertilizer produced. Ammonium
Nitrate is the main component of ANFO, a commonly used explosive mixture, and is often used
by terrorists in the production of improvised explosive devices. The explosion left many injured,
several dead, and caused millions in damages. The oceans cover over 70% of the earth s surface
and hold nearly all of the planet s water, but

Reasons For The Country Of Iraq
This essay is going to cover the country of Iraq. Due to my experience with three deployments to
this country, I have found its history very interesting. I will share knowledge and facts about the
Country, culture and military. This country has an astounded religious and cultural history
documented. I believe Iraqwas once self sufficient because of its Dictator however a great threat to
the world. Sometimes I am very puzzled how we successfully invaded the country and changed
their government from a Bathes dictatorship to a multicultural, multiethnic democratically elected
government. Based on my personnel opinion I believe that Iraq will never be a self sufficient

During the summer, in the low terrain the temperature is usually very hot and dry but in the
mountains where the elevation changes in the north and east parts of country the temperature is
often cooler. Winter will bring cooler weather to southern Iraq along with rain however; northern
Iraq can get extremely cold. (World Travel Guild)
One of Iraq s main topographical features known are the Euphrates River and the Tigris River that
flow from the Turkish and Syrian Arab Republic borders in the north to the Gulf in the south.
Northeast Iraq consists of mountainous terrain while the country in the west is arid desert. The
soil surrounding the two rivers is fertile; but because they lack an effective irrigation system areas
around the rivers have flooded and created areas of marshland. (World Travel Guild)
Iraq religiously recognized as the cradle of civilization. Mesopotamia the center of civilization on
the planet. The land of Iraq is historical recognized, because it is where the first law, the
Hammurabi code, enacted in Babylon thousands of years ago. It is where the seventh wonder of
the world, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, is located. It is important culturally because Iraq was
the center of the Islamic Empire (Khilafat), and Arab civilization for hundreds of years. Iraq is
where culture and science blossomed. Religiously, there remains the oldest established church in

Memory in Toni Morrison s Beloved Essay
Memory in Toni Morrison s Beloved Memories are works of fiction, selective representations of
experiences actual or imagined. They provide a framework for creating meaning in one s own
life as well as in the lives of others. In Toni Morrison s novel Beloved, memory is a dangerous and
debilitating faculty of human consciousness. Sethe endures the tyranny of the self imposed prison
of memory. She expresses an insatiable obsession with her memories, with the past. Sethe is
compelled to explore and explain an overwhelming sense of yearning, longing, thirst for something
beyond herself, her daughter, her Beloved. Though Beloved becomes a physical manifestation of
these memories, her will is essentially defined by and tied to the... Show more content on

Memories, however, persist. They remain, lurking in places like 124 and Sweet Home to remind
Sethe that the punishment she suffers is self inflicted and self perpetuating. First as a poltergeist
and later as a mysterious young woman, the memory of Beloved remains unrequited. Beloved s
appetite is insatiable. She never got enough of anything... the more she took, the more Sethe
began to talk, explain.. (240 1). No effort, no amount, no explanation is adequate. Sethe gives her
face to Beloved and still she demands more. Beloved eventually becomes bloated with Sethe s
loving excesses, but her thirst remains unquenched. Paul D. understands the dangers inherent in
this kind of love when he warns Sethe, Your love is too thick (164). Beloved has no distinct
identity separate from Sethe. Without Sethe, Beloved is ultimately left crouching in a dark, dark
place, forgetting to smile (252). Likewise, Sethe s own identity is nearly lost or completely
surrendered in her fusion with Beloved. Though short of ultimate union or reunion with Beloved in
death, Sethe is unable and unwilling to challenge Beloved s place in her mind and in her home.
Only help from others can save her. Denver makes the first humble appeals for help on behalf of
her mother. In doing so, she begins to understand and appreciate the vital necessity of a concept of
self, influenced by but not completely dependent upon memory. Though Denver does not directly
impart this

Bouvier Des Ardennes Essay
Cause Almost no is known with sureness about the historical backdrop of the Bouvier des
Ardennes. This breed was most likely created before the time that composed records were kept

Student Debt For College Students
As decades pass by, obtaining a college degree seems more necessary to get a decent job after
graduating. Therefore, high school students feel the pressure to get into a good university and to
get the highest degree possible, even when they have no plan on how to pay for it. Financial aid
has not kept up with growing tuition prices, and taking out student loans seems almost impossible
to avoid. According to research, About 40 million Americans hold student loans and about 70% of
bachelor s degree recipients graduate with debt. (Market Watch) The U.S currently has a total of
1.3 trillion dollars of outstanding debt. There is a ton of controversy on how to solve this issue,

Educational shaming is when society looks down on you if you decide to take a route in life
that does not involve college, or does not involve a 4 year degree or higher. It has also come to a
point in this society, if you do not go to college right after high school and do not graduate within
4 years you are looked down upon by employers. We put a college degree over productive work
career. When employers should start looking to see if you are eligible for a laboring job (and
other careers that do not need schooling) by your learning potential, motivation, integrity, and
mental ability instead of a piece of paper that tells your education and job experience. We are
setting up future generations for disaster if we don t help make a change. We are starting to
believe that the American Dream is all about a white collard job and a college degree. (Ted
Talks, Dusty Wunderlich) By 2020, 19 million more college graduates will enter the workforce
but only 7 million of those require a degree. (Ted Talks) Since every person is different not
everyone will be ready for college at 18 and not every student will have the fast learning ability or
money to graduate in 4 years. Changing the way society thinks is way easier said than done.
Students can start taking part of this way of thinking and help spread awareness by writing letters
to congressmen, holding rallies, and by writing and signing

Love For The First Time
When you fall in love for the first time you think you are high in the sky (and no, not in that
way). Everything is beautiful, colorful, and perfect; at least that s how I felt. When I had my
first boyfriend, I felt free and careless, There weren t bad days and I felt complete because he was
by my side. Finally, someone understood my bad jokes and weird sense of humor. It was the best
timeof my life, and after a long time, I felt happy. I know it sounds clichГ©, but that s how stupidly
happy lovecan make you.
We have met for six years, he was in the same school as me and he later confesses to me 3
months after our graduation. Well, I push him a little bit, because he was afraid that I would reject
him or that it would ruin our friendship, but I told him that I felt the same way, and since then we
were together for two years as an official couple.
Unfortunately, it didn t last long. He had a friend who spent a lot of time with him, and I guess
that little by little he started to get feelings for her, he did the right thing and told me about it
before he could cheat on me. We end up on good terms and till this day we talk to each other as
good friends because either way our relationship at that point (last few months) felt empty and it
was like we got bored of each other, we realized that what we felt was not love in a romantic way,
but as friends. We care for each other because we ve known for six years. I had to admit that he

Character Differences In A Monster Calls
A Monster Calls
Both the novel A Monster Calls and the movie directed by J.A. Bayona were successful in their
aim to make viewers and readers touch base with their emotions. However, the movie was time
boxed for under two hours and a few key points leading to the climax were unintentionally passed.
Even though the book and the film portrayed the monster, the father, all the tales as well as the
mother s death in extremely similar perspectives, they showed differences in their interpretation of
the mother, Conor, the grandmother, Harry, the bullying and the nightmare. Looking at the amount
of character differences, one can infer that there was a plot twist which led to the recreation of
many individuals. The similarities between the novel and the movie in terms of characters were
found in the personalities of the monster and the father. The monster had his wise and witty
charm as he told all the tales with his hidden messages which could be converted into Conor s
life, such as the story of the evil queen telling Conor that things are not always as they seem. He
also had a sense of humor when he briefly visited Conor, making wise observations and putting a
funny spin on them. The father was also much alike as he provided emotional support throughout
the story and was a fun yet a serious parent. Both of these characters were identically represented
since changing them would alter the stories base. There was an ample amount of character
differences

Analysis Of Black Mirror By Charlie Brooker Essay
Black Mirror is a British TV show on Netflix created by Charlie Brooker which represent the
modern society with technologies and the side effects in positive and negative ways. Since memory
is malleable and it interprets our memories based on our feeling in the present, technology in Black
Mirror helps to navigate the imperfection of communication, relationship and our memory in the
society. The technology such as the Grain in The Entire History of You episode and the Z eye in
White Christmasepisode have interfered humanbeing s life in some aspects. Black Mirror has
showed us the consequences of using technology in our lives. As long humansexist in these lives,
consequences will never go anywhere. It still exists and people cannot deny that because it is
the cost of being human, indeed they cannot separate good and bad. When human have AI
implanted in their bodies, their lives are almost perfect and growth toward fulfillment because
they can do everything they want. In Netflix series Black Mirror The Entire History of You
(Season 1, episode 3) people have Grain which is implanted behind their ear and the function for
that is to record everything they do, see, and hear based on their perspectives; and also allow
them to play, show or redo it whenever they want. Liam and Fiona are two of the people who

The Importance Of Becoming An Entrepreneur
Malcolm X once said, The future belongs to those who prepare for it today. Your goals can be
short term or your goals can be for the long term, but it s how well you achieve your short term
goals that will define your how you will live tomorrow. As everyone who has or taken college know
that it isn t easy, you can t just blow by college, without studying for your classes or making it to
your classes 10 15 minutes late, so to prevent these things from happening we set goals for
ourselves such as, not to procrastinate, go to all your classes, and get there 10 minutes early,
surround yourself with smart people and to learn from them, etc. But overall, having goals can
prove to have a dramatically positive change in your life because not only does it give you control
of your future but it also gives you a sense of purpose in your life.
Everyone has wants and needs but not many people make goals to get what they want or need.
All the goals we make for ourselves will connect to the kind of person we want to be in the future.
One of my goals is to become an Entrepreneur. But I can t just automatically become an
entrepreneur instantly with no background or experience, in order to get there I have to put in long
hours of work and commitment. I am a long way from becoming an Entrepreneur, but already I can
tell that my journey to becoming an Entrepreneur will not only lead me to a community of
entrepreneurs but a ton of sub communities of people with the same goals.

Their Eyes Were Watching God Essay
I enjoyed Their Eyes Were Watching God s grasp on imagination, imagery and phrasing. Janie s
dialogue and vernacular managed to carry me along, slipping pieces of wisdom to me in such a
manner that I hardly realize they are ingesting something deep and true. Their Eyes Were Watching
God recognizes that there are problems to the human condition, such as the need to possess, the fear
of the unknown and resulting stagnation. The book does not leave us with the hopelessness of
Fitzgerald or Hemingway, rather, it extends a recognition and understanding of humanity s need to

quot;On the train the next day, Joe didn t make many speeches with rhymes to her, but he

already apparent. He bought her things because he was ownership oriented. Throughout his life,
he shows both the first flush of luxury and the futility and bypassing of what is truly important
that upward mobility brings. All in all, wealth does not bring happiness, and Janie shares that
sad realization with Fitzgerald s Dick Diver. The suppression of Janie, both as a woman and a
human, is Jody s most interesting facet. He sets a limit on her self fulfillment, treating her more
like an object than a woman. Of course, he lumps women in with mere things quot;Somebody
got to think for women and chilun and chickens and cows (67). quot; He s good to Janie, but he
s good to his animals also. In fact, Joe s attitude towards Janie is echoed in his behavior towards
the overworked mule he buys and sets free: he lets the mule loose to wander around town as
evidence of his generosity and wealth. As Janie so bitterly sees, quot;Freein dat mule makes a
mighty fine man outa you. Something like George Washington...you got uh town so you freed uh
mule. You have tuh have power tuh free things and dat makes you lak uh king uh something (55).

Advantages And Disadvantages Of LTE Networks
These technologies bring the network closer to mobile users and improve spectral efficiency
(SE) per unit arena (i.e capacity). Due to lower power and smaller physical size, pico/ femto
/ relay cells can also be deployed to eliminate coverage holes and relay cells can be used in
backhaul, where wire line backhaul is unavailable or not economical [150] [152]. The
heterogeneous deployment of LTE networks comprising of conventional Macro cell base stations

severe interference problems especially for cell edge users. This problem was typically addressed
by coordinating base station transmissions to minimize interference. Figure 2.10 shows a

Disadvantages: Despite the benefits that can be achieved by this technique, there are some
challenges that need to be addressed, including management of the interfaces between
heterogeneous environments and the dead zone problem. Towards this direction, 3GPP LTE
standard has introduced Inter Cell Interference Coordination (ICIC) methods since Release 8
specifications. ICIC was developed to deal with interference issues at cell edge and mitigates
interference on traffic channels only in heterogeneous network. These limitations were bypassed
with Release 10 specifications which introduced enhanced Inter Cell Interference Coordination (e
ICIC). Enhancements were brought to deal with interference issues in Heterogeneous Networks and
mitigate interference on traffic and control channels. In such networks, two major scenarios for
severe inter cell interference should be highlighted: macro pico scenario with Cell Range Extension
(CRE) and macro femto scenario with Closed Subscriber Group

Geoffrey Chaucer s Primary Sources
Geoffrey Chaucer formed the incomplete work, The Canterbury Stories. It is seen as extraordinary

Craftsman Geoffrey Chaucerwas considered around 1340, more likely than not at his people s

Throughout the period, Chaucer transformed into an open specialist to Royal lady Elizabeth of

How Did Dumas Become A Man Of Social Class
Many people wonder if movies portray any aspects about the author life. The movie The Count of
Monte Cristo written by Alexandre Dumas is about a man named Edmond Dantes, a poor classed
man who had been seeking for revenge on the wealthy upper classed men named Fernand
Mondego and J.F Villefort. These men had planned an act so that they would be able to send
Dantes to prison and take advantage of him to get what they had wanted. After Dantes had escaped
the prison he then was able to find wealth greater than no other and took the position of the count of
Monte Cristo. Dumas, the author is a man who was born into a high class in France and because
of the sudden death of his father, he was no longer considered to being a wealthy person. Then
Dumas had started to write plays and novels which had brought him to collecting a lot of money

When looking at both Dumas s life and his the story of The Count of Monte Cristo he had

This demonstrates that Dumas had portrayed Dantes lifestyle in the movie to being somewhat like
his; Man of poorness to the man of wealthiness. First, Alexandre Dumas starts off by presenting
himself as a man of low social class because when looking at the film it is shown that the movie is
from Dantes perspective. Dantes is a man who had been considered to being very poor and low
classed at the beginning of the movie. Dumas displayed Dantes as a person who couldn t read or
fight with a sword meaning that he had no education and was not taught swordsmanship
whatsoever. He had also displayed the comparison between the rich and the poor by showing how

The Blind Side Movie Analysis
The movie The Blind Side came out in 2009, written and directed by John Lee Hancock. This
movie is based off a true story that has a lot of great lessons with in its. There are quite a few
famous people within the movie starting off with one of the main charters Sandra Bullock, and
even the likes of Tim McGraw and Kathy Bates. The movie deals with several different issues
including race and parental involvement to point out two. This movie has a great deal of football
and family which is why it helped Sandra Bullockwin so many awards including an Oscar for Best
Performance by and Actress in a Leading Role, a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an
Actress in a Motion Picture, and even as a whole movie in 2010 won the Teen Choice Award for
Choice Movie: Drama. This was my first time seeing The Blind Side, it was always talked
highly about, but I just never seemed to get a chance to watch it. I believe I enjoyed waiting it
out now even more. When this first came out I wouldn t be able to connect to it as much as I
can now, seeing the struggle, the racial issues, and unofficial parental support really made this
interesting. College really opened my eyes into this world and showed me how culturally
unaware I was. I now work with a lot of underprivileged kids and hear stories from some of the

Essay on The Early Renaissance
The Early Renaissance
Today, what is considered to be the modern times began with the Early Renaissance at the start of
the 15th century. As time has progressed, things have modified within societies to mold with the
new ways of thinking for that time. Between the years of the 1400 s and the 1800 s this world has
undergone many changes. Focusing on Europe, the major forces of change were in politics,
economics, and religion. In modern European history political effort were supplied by the state.

Banking was over run by the Germans. Trade in the East came to an end with the fall of
Constantinople. By the end of the 16th century, economics had shifted from the Mediterranean to

economy was in the makings. In the 17th century mercantilism is very prominent. Things such as

the religious beliefs of the Papal Court. Though there were many religious battles over the Church,
few doubted the Church, following its every demand. By the 16th century, many began to

way off track, and was in need of some repair. Martin Luther began the radical attempt to fix what

Human Development Theories Paper
When it comes to the different development theories there is a significant amount that contribute to
the helping and aiding of the human development process. Chapter 1 gives readers a clear and
concise diagnostic of theories such as Behaviorism and Social Learning theory focusing on just the
behaviorism and the Ecological Systems of theory. These two theories have played a role in many
different instances throughout my friend Aliyah s life. Aliyah has continuously moved back from
Jamaica to the United States throughout her younger years. She participated in first, fourth, fifth,
sixth, seventh, and eighth grade in Jamaica with her grandmother and two aunts. Aliyah s second

Process Of Making Pepperoni Rolls
Pepperoni rolls are a very common treat in West Virginia. It is not difficult to find them in a
local convenient store, or gas station. However, I prefer to make my own. I find pepperoni rolls
much more enjoyable when they re fresh out of the oven. Pepperoni rolls are quite easy to make,
with the right amount of patience. Several steps are involved in the process of making
pepperoni rolls. Six basic steps will allow you to achieve delicious, golden pepperoni rolls. To begin
with, you must gather all of your ingredients. In order to achieve a batch of 10 12 pepperoni
rolls, you will need: One seven ounce bag of pepperoni, One sixteen ounce bag of mozzarella
cheese, One quarter ounce packet of active dry yeast, milk, flour, sugar,... Show more content on

Next, you will carefully prepare the dough. In the large bowl with your yeast mixture, add one
half cup milk, one half cup water, one teaspoon salt, one quarter cup sugar, one teaspoon garlic
salt, and mix. You will gradually add flour (approximately two cups) to this mixture. Then, you
will thoroughly wash your hands, and briefly knead the dough. You will begin forming the
dough into a soft ball. It is important that you do not knead the dough too much, as it will
become too tough to eat. In a new bowl, you will measure a quarter cup olive oil, and transfer
your dough mixture. Make sure that you have enough olive oil to cover the entire ball of dough.
As you continue, you will allow the dough to rise. This can be somewhat tricky, unless you have
a proofer. Otherwise, you will fill a large pot full of water, and bring it to a boil. Once the water
starts boiling, you will reduce the heat to a simmer. Then, you will cover your bowl of dough
with plastic wrap, and place on a cookie rack above the simmering pot of water. It is important
that you keep a careful eye on this step. You don t want the bottom of your dough mixture to begin
cooking, so repositioning the dough is necessary. Leave the dough above the simmering water
until it has doubled in size, making sure it doesn t begin to cook. Toward the end, you will begin
preparing the pepperoni rolls. Preheat your oven to approximately 375В°F. Divide the dough into

Robots Will Be The Biggest Job
Robotic Technology is the most beneficial means to the future of industries because they will
create more jobs. John Tammy states Robots will ultimately be the biggest job creators simply
because aggressive automation will free us up to do new work by virtue of it erasing toil that
was once essential ( why Robots Will Be The Biggest Job Creators In World History par.3). This
quote shows that robots will be the biggest reason why lots of people have jobs because. Robots
will create a lot of jobs for employees that will free them from doing hard labor. When labor is
hard and it can cause employees to be exhausted which results from them to slow down
production which is bad the company. Without robots, employees are stuck with doing hard and
even time consuming labor which can slow down production. Industrial robots can help a lot of
companies make labor less harsh. Bill Lydon states Automation has allowed us to compete on a
global basis and it has created jobs in Southwest Michigan. If it had not been for automation we
would not have beaten our Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican competitors ( IFR press release 1).
This quote shows that robots not only help companies create more employment, they can also help
companies beat competitors. Which are very beneficial to them because it can help companies build
a good reputation because of the quality and popularity of their products. Without robots to help
companies beat their competitors, they could be beaten by them and

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) can be identified as the condition that demonstrates
persistent, high levels of anxiety and excessive worry about one s daily life. These anxious
feelings tend to reveal physical symptoms that can interfere with the patient s optimal functioning
since they are constantly feeling restless or tense. According to the DSM 5, in order to properly
diagnosis a patient with GAD, the patient must demonstrate the symptoms majority of days for at
least six months and experience significant distress or impairment in life activities. GAD is
developed during one s childhood and adolescent year, gradually becoming more apparent as they

A common theme found in all three disorders is the development of negative cognition, emotions,
and schemas. Negative schemas are a key role in GAD because it focuses on how an individual
interprets and organizes the world. An individual s cognitive interpretation provides an explanation
why anxiety is evoked. In PTSD, a person s negative emotions and dysfunctional thoughts about
themselves or their environment are more likely to have PTSD. Individuals diagnosis with MDD
tends to have negative thoughts due to their interpretation about themselves and their surrounding
which can result in the feeling of worthlessness. An individual s cognition interpretations affect
their overall emotion. Another common theme that GAD, PTSD, and MDD share is rumination.
All these three disorders use rumination to cope with stressful situations. Although the disorders
shared similarities, there are several differences in between them. In GAD, individuals tend to have
a lower threshold for uncertainty and worry about worrying. These individuals have a misguided
belief that worry is an effective method to face their problem or prevent any negative consequences
from occurring. On the other hand, the severity of trauma and interpersonal trauma contribute to
the psychological factors that affect PTSD. Individuals may overestimate the probability of the
trauma occurring therefore, they react more intensely to it. In MDD, inadequate/ insufficient
reinforcers and learned helplessness/ attributional styles distress an individual. People with MDD
may receive insufficient social reinforcement which then causes them to withdraw from any social

Essay on Death with Dignity
Autonomy is a fundamental right. Liberty interests of patients while coping with terminal illness,
however, unlike autonomy, are protected under the Constitution as fundamental rights.
Advancements in medicine are extending the average life expectancy for adults. The aging of the
baby boomer generation is also contributing to the increase in the growing number of the elder
population. As society ages, not only do individuals battle terminal illness, but they combat the
unanticipated demands on their right to die with dignity. The ability to choose the timing of one s
deathis limited to a few states in America. Additionally, there are a few countries now allowing
physician assisted suicide. Even with this option, a patient must... Show more content on

Although there is a distinction between euthanasia and death with dignity, the purpose of both is to
end one s unbearable pain and suffering.
The act of euthanasia has negative connotations that stem from a history of genocide. Nazi
Germany is an illustrious example of this deed. Using cyanide gas, the Germans exterminated a
large portion of the Jewish population. Contrary to popular opinion, genocide is not limited to the
past. The atrocities of this practice resurfaced a multitude of times, such as in the civil war, in
Rwanda, as well as the conflict in Darfur. Social conditions in all of these countries contributed
towards conflict and crisis situations resulting in the onset of social control. Genocide, often
viewed as a deviant action, is also a type of social control. The casualties of these wars were not
permitted to die with their dignity. Their deaths, indeed, did engender suffering. In these cases, the
affected individuals experienced both active and non voluntary euthanasia.
History provides valuable lessons. Learning about the suffering of others affords us the opportunity
to take action to prevent the possibility of reoccurrence. Karen Quinlan is an infamous case from
the 1970 s. This woman was in a persistent vegetative state sustained by life support. Her family
petitioned the court to withdraw the ventilator machine, allowing her the right to die with dignity.
The judge granted the family s request

Threat Vectors For Cyber Security
Threat Vectors
There are three main areas identified as threat vectors for cyber security in relation to CIP: IT
networks, insider threats, and equipment and software. Normally, ICS operate on an internal
network, called OT (Operational Technology). Occasionally, this isolated network requires a
connection to the organization s corporate network (IT) for routine operation and management.
As displayed in the Ukraine blackout, cyber threats infiltrate an organization s IT systems in
order to access ICS networks on the OT network. The methods used to achieve access are often
not complex procedures and can be achieved using a wide array of methods, such as spear
phishing, malicious URLs, drive by attacks (p. 1). Upon infiltration of an IT network, the threat
searches for a lapse in the cyber security program in order to access the OT networks that regulate
CI.
The second threat vector, insider threat, entails IT networks and OT networks. This threat can arise
from negligence or sabotage by members within the organization (intentional or accidental). The
structure of an OT network is normally not as complex as an IT network and more susceptible to
insider threats. As stated by Epstein (2016), OT networks are usually flat with little or no
segmentation, and SCADA systems have outdated software versions that go unpatched regularly (p.
2). Thus, an unsuspecting employee that disregards protocol by disabling/weakening security
settings or connects a private network to the

The Ethics Of Identity And Choice
Limited work has been done in the field of philosophy concerning how identity and choice
interact. However, Kwame A. Appiah puts forth an account of identity in his book The Ethics of
Identity (2010) that sheds light on how one s choices may be effected by the identities they chose.
The following will describe Appiah s view of identity and how it influences choice, and conclude by
providing commentary concerning how effective Appiah s account of identity is and how it can be
improved.
Appiah (2010, p. 22 24) uses the term collective identities to define and describe a way of
thinking about social identity. However, in order to considered a collective identity, a label (X)
must meet three conditions (Appiah, 2010, p. 66 70). The first condition, availability, refers to the
fact that the label must be one which exists in the social world. If X is not a label that most are
familiar with or that has an agreed upon conceptualization, one cannot identify as X in a way that is
socially relevant. The second condition, internalization, states that some people who are labelled X
must identify as X and that this identification affects the way they see the world in a meaningful
way. The final condition, social response, dictates that there must be a societal response to the label
X. These three conditions reveal how the relationship between the self, social groups, and society as
a whole interact in Appiah s conception of identity. For Appiah, the individual must choose an
identity

One song, which has helped me stabilize is Marshall Mather s aka Eminem s Going through

that song whether I would be angry or content.
Back in the day, when I was in elementary school, I would see myself as little chubby rage

The Consequences Of The Blockade Of Qatar
On October 25, 2017, The Guardian reported that Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, and Saudi Arabia s
blockade of Qatar has the potential to create long lasting rifts in the region. In June of this year, the
aforementioned nations all cut off diplomatic ties with the small peninsular nation of Qatar. Saudi
Arabia and UAE said that diplomatic and economic relations would be restored once Qatarhas
broken all of its links with the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Iran. Qatar emphatically denied
that it had any financial links with those extremist groups. This stalemate has led to a long lasting
blockade that as of writing is still ongoing. With no end in sight, some observers are worried that

Fearing uprisings of their own, nations such as the United Arab Emirates backed Saudi Arabia.
When Hamad abdicated the throne in 2013, it appeared that Qatar s international influence would
end. Until this year, that certainly seemed to be the case. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt
enacted a blockade of Qatar, which prompted an international response. President Trump and the
United States appeared to back Saudi Arabia, while Iran and Turkey, two regional powers, backed
Qatar.
The blockade of Qatar is throwing the long held status quo of the region into disarray. All of the
Arab Gulf states are allies of the United States and currently Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Bahrain are
imposing the blockade on Qatar, with Kuwait staying neutral. The involvement of the United
States, Turkey and Iran seems to indicate that this conflict was more than just a petty dispute
between the gulf states. In this unipolar world, it would make sense that once a dominant power
chooses a side, a conflict such as this one would soon meet its conclusion. However, even with the
United States involvement, the Qatar blockade has been in effect for five months and has no end
in sight. This would seem to indicate that perhaps the United States is not as powerful as
previously thought. This leads me to ask the following question: How does the blockade of Qatar
impact American goals in the Middle East.

We cannot influence or modify them the same way we cannot change the structure of a building.

Murray Bowen s Family Systems Theory Of Family
Murray Bowen developed a new theory that focuses on how the family s emotions and
interactions as a unit can affect the individual and vice versa. (Marianne Schneider 2015) In this

2005) The Family Systems theory proposes that to get a better look inside what s going on with the

issues that have been passed down from multiple generations determine their levels of stress and

Family Systems Theory appeals to me because I have a large stepfamily and I feel this
perspective does help to figure out how to deal with problems that come up with individuals
while considering the whole family unit. I feel very strongly that family is important in
developing a person s strengths and self worth. There are lots of issues that can come up in a
stepfamily. Relationship triangles that the family systems theory talks about happened in a
dysfunctional way in my family. I believe the only way to get a better insight into one s
problems is to look at the family of origin and see the patterns and how everyone interacts and
affects everyone. It is also important to know the level of differentiation that family members
are at to help them have a sense of self outside of the family unit. In our family there has been a
lot of tension because of family members not knowing what their role was in the new family
unit. In my family it was very difficult to establish a parent role with a child that doesn t consider
you as a parent. I have seen certain children act out when they feel that they are not receiving
enough attention from the biological parent and then triangles result. In my experiences with my

Analysis Of Be Glad Your Nose Is On Your Face
Change Isn t Always for the Better Poems are the perfect mixture between the rhythmic of songs
and the structure of speeches. The theme of a poem is expressed through different literary
devices such as alliterations and rhyming techniques. Jack Prelusky s Be Glad Your Nose Is on
Your Face, is a poem that takes on a journey of different scenarios of having one s nose in
different places on the body that would not benefit them at all. He makes the point that the
placement of the nose is exactly where it should be to be most beneficial. Although the poem is
literally about a nose being on a face, Prelusky emphasizes thankfulness by using literary devices,
themes, and real life examples.
The theme of this poem is portrayed in an indirect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This also relates to real life terms that even when times get tough, they will make it through
because of the help from their permanent people in their lives. These two concepts correlate
because the nose is permanently on the face to help smell just like the permanent people in one s
life are also here to help when needed. This literary device helps the interpretation of the poem
because it sets a positive and upbeat tone to the poem, implying to be grateful and happy with what
one has. Alliteration is only applied once during the poem but, rhymes and rhyme schemes are used
persistently from start to finish.
Another literary sound device used by Prelusky is rhyming. One purpose of rhyming in poetry is to
link and draw gapping stanzas together. It also creates an overall pattern for the poem and helps
with the symmetry of the stanzas. Within his rhyming examples of having a nose in weird places,
his theme of being thankful still shows. This poem starts off with the first two stanzas ending in a
rhyme with face and place . The specific rhyme where the last words of the stanzas rhyme is called
external rhyme. Prelusky continues to use external rhymes consistently throughout the poem to
help continue the rhyme scheme. The rhyme scheme used in this poem is portrayed to make it
more musical and uplifting. The use of rhyme helps interpretation of the poem

How Does Othello Change Throughout The Play
Shakespeare prided himself on being a writer for the people. Authors during his time were more
sophisticated and their plays never seemed to translate to a larger audience. Plays were perceived
as something only the wealthy and elite got to participate in. But Shakespeare changed all that
when began to include the public. He turned theater into something relatable with an emphasis on
sex, love, violence and a sort of crude humor. He made his characters real. They were ravished
with flaws and became naturally empathic as the play went on. To achieve this a certain basic
human psychology has to be applied. And though it did not have these labels yet, grit and mindset
are things that makes these characters so relatable. Grit is described... Show more content on

Rock And Roll In The 1950s
1950 s
Introduction
The 1950s was largely dominated by Rock and Roll as the Rock and Roll era had emerged. This
Genre of music developed from other styles of music such as country, Jazz, and gospel.
One Reason for the sudden emergence of Rock and Roll was because of the likes of Elvis Presley,
Chuck Berry, Fats Domino and other Rock and Roll icons that have transformed music, as we know
it.
Pioneer of Rock and Roll
During the early 50s, many artists were coming out with there own Rock and Roll songs making
it difficult for us to identify who was the pioneer of Rock and Roll. Today most people think of
Elvis Presley when they hear Rock and Roll however the very first Rock and Roll hit was called
Rock around the Clock by Bill Haley and his Comets. This song released in 1955 was considered
to be the first international hit that spread to millions across the globe, but it wasn t the first Rock

Culture Although its true that Rock and Roll was developed from other styles of music but it
was actually the mix of Black culture and white spreading that truly advanced it. As Black artists
and bands like the Dominoes began to combine gospel music and add more aggressive rhymes to
them creating rock and roll. After these song began reaching a wider audience being the White

found by examining the file s creation date. As a result, this salting doesn t do much to protect
against an offline dictionary attack against a single user. My attack examines .card files and
prints out their associated pins. It does this by conducting a brute force attack in which it
guesses creation times and pins and checks the value of Hash(username || pin guess || time guess)
against the value of the hash which is stored in the .card file. Because I m able to make good
guesses about the card creation time and the pin is short enough to turn up in a small dictionary of
possible pins, this attack typically runs in under a second. While it would be possible to examine
the card file s creation time to accurately estimate the timestamp which was used in the salt, my
attack code simply guesses... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Please note that this will throw an error unless you manually create the bin folder. Additionally,
you should also be aware that Will s ATM code has a bug which can cause it to hang (he
acknowledges this bug in his design doc). To test my attack, you must compile pin_extractor.c
using the command gcc lcrypto pin_extractor.c . You must then run the bank executable and create
a user with a command such as create user bob 2134 1 . Then run the executable which was
created by building pin_extractor.c and pass in a path to the card file which the bank just created.
This can be done using a command such as ./a.out bob.card . This should print the user s pin to the
terminal. The following screenshots demonstrate the

In today s world, Japan is up there as one of the most romanticized countries held up to mythic

Some well known, legendary samurai known today are Miyamoto Musashi and Ito Ittosai, both
notable for their undefeated records in combat. The samurai came into conception in the early
10th century, of men who ascended from numerous clans. They were provincial warriors servicing
aristocrats and eventually the samurai class achieved equal status with that of aristocracy and then
amassed enough power claiming hegemony over them. The samurai eventually became too
powerful they set up a Bakufu government and ordered the Emperor to grant the dominant
samurai clan leader, the title of SHogun (Similar in vain to that of Generalissimo). There is a
notable style of change that underwent between the earlier samurai who were scattered across the
regions and engaged in individual combat to eventually banding together and working underneath
a daimyo in each region. Usually associated with using long and imposing swords, these killing
tools were not always their weapon of choice. The samurai first heavily utilized bow and arrows
transitioning to swords and then with the advent of trade from groups like the Dutch, began to use
firearms. However, the samurai sword continues to be an endearing symbol and weapons that is
closely associated to samurai that still endures to this very day. When we think of samurai we think
of these badass warriors. This belief and misconception may have delved especially from the
samurai who fought during the Sengoku (Warring States)

Civilization and Its Discontents, by Sigmeund Freud Essay...
Civilization and Its Discontents is a book written by Sigmund Freud in 1929 (originally titled Das
Unbehagen in der Kultur or The Uneasiness in Culture.) This is considered to be one of Freud s
most important and widely read works. In this book, Freud explains his perspective by enumerating
what he sees as fundamental tensions between civilization and the individual. He asserts that this
tension stems from the individual s quest for freedom and non conformity and civilization s quest
for uniformity and instinctual repression. Most of humankind s primitive instincts are clearly
destructive to the health and well being of a humancommunity (such as the desire to kill.) As a
direct result, civilization creates laws designed to prohibit... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Freud theorizes that this oceanic feeling is a regression into an earlier state of consciousness
before the ego had differentiated itself from the world of objects. Freud also theorizes that the
religious oceanic feeling arises from the infant s helplessness and the longing for the father and
imagine[s] that the oceanic feeling became connected with religion later on. In other words, the
oceanic feeling is not a genuine religious experience, though people experience it that way.
Throughout the rest of the book, Freud addresses the conflict between civilization and the
individual. He starts with the fundamental paradox of civilization: we created civilization as a
tool to protect ourselves from unhappiness; however it is our largest source of unhappiness. He
also points out that contemporary technological advances have been a mixed blessing for human
happiness. He also asks what the purpose of civilization is if it is not to satisfy the pleasure
principal. He later concedes that civilization has to make compromises of happiness to fulfill its
primary goal of bringing people into peaceful relationships with each other, by making them subject
to a higher, communal authority. Freud included a cornucopia of various themes in this book. The
first of these is the recurring theme of the primal father and his psychological heritage. This is one
of Freud s most controversial cultural speculations. Freud proposes that human societies were

The Cause Of Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer and hormone treatment to address this disease is one approach some have taken.
The idea with this type of treatment is to decrease the production of testosterone that could

Components Of Integrated Project Delivery
What is Integrated Project Design?
There are many different business structures in place which businesses around the world are using
today. One of these business structures, used in the design and construction industry, is called
Integrated Project Delivery. Integrated Project Delivery is a business style which incorporates all
aspects of design throughout the entire design process. This includes, but is not limited to, all
participants, business coordination s, and business systems, and the way they interact with the
specialties of the participants, in turn producing fluidity within the design and a highly effective
final product. The main players within IPD are owners, architect, contractors, designers, sub
contractors, consultants and suppliers.
Collaboration is key within Integrated Project Delivery (4). In order to create this type of building
structure all parties involved must be willing to collaborate. When this happens the result creates an
open, shared business model where no information is hidden or lost in communication. This lessens
the instance of becoming fragmented and disconnected. Early involvement of all participants from
owner to supplier produces a mutual understanding of the goal and outcome of the design and
leaves everyone with an equal understanding of the project. At this point in IPD mutual trust can be
gained as well as mutual benefit while understanding everyone s role in the process. Team building
is another major part of IPD. Under each main

Female Issues Affecting The Indian Society Essay
Abstract
The age old problem of female related issues affecting the Indian society adversely continues to
exist today in the 21st century. The advancement of new age, technology, scientific inventions,
standard of life, and change in life style has failed to bring in change of the mindset. The problem
of female infanticide in India seems to be persistent. The alarming records collected by local,
regional, national and international bodies only reflect the drastic decline in the male female ratio.
The matter is of serious concern and what is required is not only law but the change that each one
has to bring in understanding that when Nature was impartial in evolving man and woman, why
has the society then brought about gender discrimination.
This paper is an attempt to discuss the present and future repercussions faced due to female
infanticide. Since the society is reflected through literature, art and fiction, the writer has made an
attempt to make a journey of today s reality through Sujata Bhatt s poem Voice of the Unwanted
Girl and Manish Jha s motion picture, Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women that is set in the
2050s.
... missing women tell(s) us, quietly, a terrible story of inequality and neglect leading to the excess
morality of women . Though this statement seems to be almost universal according to Barbara
Miller the problem holds immediate attention in the Indian context. Different types of problems

What Are The Disadvantages Of Lay People In The English...
Effectiveness of lay element
The effect of a lay person being part of the legal system is that it creates a positive reputation for
the court. This is because lay people are not chosen because of their qualifications; they are chosen
randomly to come up with a verdict for the defendant. Having lay people in the legal system enable
the court to have a wider variety of opinion given by the community. This scheme allows associates
of the community to become a lay person (magistrates/jury). There are many advantages as well as
disadvantages of using lay personnel in court. An example of an advantages of using a lay person
in the English legal system is that the legal system saves millions of pounds due to the fact that lay
personnel s do not receives salaries but expenses. Another advantage is that lay personnel are an

its advantages, but it also comes with disadvantages. A clear example of a disadvantage of using
both lay magistrates and jurors in the legal system is that racial, cultural, sexual bias has come in
the way and depending on the research, it has shown that this influences the verdict made in the
courtroom. They are not provided with maximum training and juries on the other hand do not get
any sort of training which can be lead to lay people being acknowledged as the second class justice.
Role of jury in criminal cases/problem

Essay on Dachau Concentration Camp in World War II
The Holocaust was the elimination of millions of Jews. This terrible incident left many families
and innocent people scarred. There were few survivors and most died in very harsh and cruel
ways. Dachau Concentration Camp was a very cruel death camp where many Jews were executed
during World War II. The Jewish populationbefore the Holocaustwas 9,793,700. Though Jewish
people were judged for many reasons such as their beliefs or way of life, the Jewish were doing fine
and for the most part were happy. Then after Adolf Hitler gained so much power, the Jewsbegan to
be eliminated. It all started with concentration camps In March 1933, the first concentration camp

Nine years after Dachau opened, the crematorium area was located beside the main camp. The
old crematorium and the new crematorium was included. There was also a gas chamber,
however there isn t any credible evidence that the gas chamber in Barrack X was used to murder
human beings. The gas chambers were actually for something called selection . Selection was
when all of the Jews at the camp would go to the gas chambers to be evaluated. If a Jew was
marked down as not strong enough to do work or too sick then they were sent to the Hartheim
euthanasia killing center near Linz, Austria. Many Jewish people were killed this way. The
crematoria are was also where the SS camp guards would kill prisoners; they would also kill the
prisoners at the firing range. Another way that the Jewish People and prisoners were killed at
Dachau was when German physicians would do medical experiment on the prisoners including
high altitude experiments using a decompression chamber, malaria and tuberculosis experiments,
hypothermia experiments, and experiments testing new medications. Prisoners were also forced
to test methods of making seawater potable and of halting excessive bleeding ( Dachau ). During
this process there were hundreds of prisoners left dead, or with permanent disabilities. During
World War II all of the Jews were forced to do work Prisoners were forced to do this work, starting

A True War Story Is Never Moral Analysis
Beginning in 1965, the Vietnam War was a nearly decade long conflict in which the United States
attempted to halt the inevitable rise of Communism in Southeast Asia. Ultimately resulting in the
deaths of 60,000 Americans, the Vietnam War was a massive failure in American history ( Vietnam
War Fast Facts ). Domestically, the War sparked controversy and protests across the nation. As
chaos ensued in Vietnam, many Americans questioned the moral values of the United States
Government. In media, such inquiries quickly became a prominent topic, and films such as The
Deer Hunter, directed by Michael Cimino, became major hits. Even years later, the Vietnam War
remained a significant focus for many Americans, sparking a Vietnam war veteran, Tim O
Brien, to write his war story novel, The Things They Carried. In his book, O Brien thoroughly
describes the guidelines of a true war story, with a main point being that, A true war story is
never moral (O Brien 76). In his film The Deer Hunter, Michael Cimino asserts Tim O Brien s
guideline that war stories are morally indifferent. During the movie, Michael s actions in the
Vietnamese village and Nick s death represent the lack of virtue in the war.
Reflecting O Brien s guideline stating that, A true war story is never moral, Cimino ensures that
the protagonist s actions are not always portrayed as heroic (O Brien 76). One of such scenes
occurs when Michael is first depicted in the war. After the destruction of a small Vietnamese

  • 2. The West Fertilizer Plant Explosion There are disasters occurring all around the world that most individuals will not hear of due to a lack of media coverage. Many of these disasters can have incredibly detrimental effects on entire populations, and those at risk deserve a chance to educate themselves. Two of the disasters found were the West Fertilizer plant explosion and the increasing rate of acidification of ocean water. Despite the fact that these disasters pose such incredible dangers, they were found to be among the least reported on stories amongst media outlets. Although these disasters have not been covered nearly as much as other major catastrophes, such as hurricane Katrina, they still have far reaching physical and emotional consequences and have their own unique story. The West Fertilizer company located in West, Texas was in the business of chemical manufacturing and distribution. The night of April 17, 2013, an explosion occurred as authorities were attempting to extinguish a fire that had broken out earlier that day. The primary explosive agent was found to be ammonium nitrate, a chemical used as fertilizer in agriculture, which West Fertilizer produced. Ammonium Nitrate is the main component of ANFO, a commonly used explosive mixture, and is often used by terrorists in the production of improvised explosive devices. The explosion left many injured, several dead, and caused millions in damages. The oceans cover over 70% of the earth s surface and hold nearly all of the planet s water, but ... They provide a framework for creating meaning in one s own life as well as in the lives of others. In Toni Morrison s novel Beloved, memory is a dangerous and debilitating faculty of human consciousness. Sethe endures the tyranny of the self imposed prison of memory. She expresses an insatiable obsession with her memories, with the past. Sethe is compelled to explore and explain an overwhelming sense of yearning, longing, thirst for something beyond herself, her daughter, her Beloved. Though Beloved becomes a physical manifestation of these memories, her will is essentially defined by and tied to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Memories, however, persist. They remain, lurking in places like 124 and Sweet Home to remind Sethe that the punishment she suffers is self inflicted and self perpetuating. First as a poltergeist and later as a mysterious young woman, the memory of Beloved remains unrequited. Beloved s appetite is insatiable. She never got enough of anything... the more she took, the more Sethe began to talk, explain.. (240 1). No effort, no amount, no explanation is adequate. Sethe gives her face to Beloved and still she demands more. Beloved eventually becomes bloated with Sethe s loving excesses, but her thirst remains unquenched. Paul D. understands the dangers inherent in this kind of love when he warns Sethe, Your love is too thick (164). Beloved has no distinct identity separate from Sethe. Without Sethe, Beloved is ultimately left crouching in a dark, dark place, forgetting to smile (252). Likewise, Sethe s own identity is nearly lost or completely surrendered in her fusion with Beloved. Though short of ultimate union or reunion with Beloved in death, Sethe is unable and unwilling to challenge Beloved s place in her mind and in her home. Only help from others can save her. Denver makes the first humble appeals for help on behalf of her mother. • 11. Character Differences In A Monster Calls A Monster Calls Both the novel A Monster Calls and the movie directed by J.A. Bayona were successful in their aim to make viewers and readers touch base with their emotions. However, the movie was time boxed for under two hours and a few key points leading to the climax were unintentionally passed. Even though the book and the film portrayed the monster, the father, all the tales as well as the mother s death in extremely similar perspectives, they showed differences in their interpretation of the mother, Conor, the grandmother, Harry, the bullying and the nightmare. Looking at the amount of character differences, one can infer that there was a plot twist which led to the recreation of many individuals. The similarities between the novel and the movie in terms of characters were found in the personalities of the monster and the father. The monster had his wise and witty charm as he told all the tales with his hidden messages which could be converted into Conor s life, such as the story of the evil queen telling Conor that things are not always as they seem. He also had a sense of humor when he briefly visited Conor, making wise observations and putting a funny spin on them. The father was also much alike as he provided emotional support throughout the story and was a fun yet a serious parent. • 13. The Importance Of Becoming An Entrepreneur Malcolm X once said, The future belongs to those who prepare for it today. Your goals can be short term or your goals can be for the long term, but it s how well you achieve your short term goals that will define your how you will live tomorrow. As everyone who has or taken college know that it isn t easy, you can t just blow by college, without studying for your classes or making it to your classes 10 15 minutes late, so to prevent these things from happening we set goals for ourselves such as, not to procrastinate, go to all your classes, and get there 10 minutes early, surround yourself with smart people and to learn from them, etc. But overall, having goals can prove to have a dramatically positive change in your life because not only does it give you control of your future but it also gives you a sense of purpose in your life. Everyone has wants and needs but not many people make goals to get what they want or need. All the goals we make for ourselves will connect to the kind of person we want to be in the future. One of my goals is to become an Entrepreneur. But I can t just automatically become an entrepreneur instantly with no background or experience, in order to get there I have to put in long hours of work and commitment. I am a long way from becoming an Entrepreneur, but already I can tell that my journey to becoming an Entrepreneur will not only lead me to a community of entrepreneurs but a ton of sub communities of people with the same goals. Janie s dialogue and vernacular managed to carry me along, slipping pieces of wisdom to me in such a manner that I hardly realize they are ingesting something deep and true. Their Eyes Were Watching God recognizes that there are problems to the human condition, such as the need to possess, the fear of the unknown and resulting stagnation. The book does not leave us with the hopelessness of Fitzgerald or Hemingway, rather, it extends a recognition and understanding of humanity s need to escape emptiness. quot;Dem meatskins is got tuh rattle tuh make out they s alive (183) quot; Her solution is simple: quot;Yuh got tuh go there tuh know there. quot; Janie... Throughout his life, he shows both the first flush of luxury and the futility and bypassing of what is truly important that upward mobility brings. All in all, wealth does not bring happiness, and Janie shares that sad realization with Fitzgerald s Dick Diver. The suppression of Janie, both as a woman and a human, is Jody s most interesting facet. He sets a limit on her self fulfillment, treating her more like an object than a woman. Of course, he lumps women in with mere things quot;Somebody got to think for women and chilun and chickens and cows (67). quot; He s good to Janie, but he s good to his animals also. In fact, Joe s attitude towards Janie is echoed in his behavior towards the overworked mule he buys and sets free: he lets the mule loose to wander around town as evidence of his generosity and wealth. Due to lower power and smaller physical size, pico/ femto / relay cells can also be deployed to eliminate coverage holes and relay cells can be used in backhaul, where wire line backhaul is unavailable or not economical [150] [152]. The heterogeneous deployment of LTE networks comprising of conventional Macro cell base stations overlaid with LPNs. ICIC was developed to deal with interference issues at cell edge and mitigates interference on traffic channels only in heterogeneous network. These limitations were bypassed with Release 10 specifications which introduced enhanced Inter Cell Interference Coordination (e ICIC). This was my first time seeing The Blind Side, it was always talked highly about, but I just never seemed to get a chance to watch it. I believe I enjoyed waiting it out now even more. When this first came out I wouldn t be able to connect to it as much as I can now, seeing the struggle, the racial issues, and unofficial parental support really made this interesting. College really opened my eyes into this world and showed me how culturally unaware I was. However, I prefer to make my own. I find pepperoni rolls much more enjoyable when they re fresh out of the oven. Pepperoni rolls are quite easy to make, with the right amount of patience. Several steps are involved in the process of making pepperoni rolls. Six basic steps will allow you to achieve delicious, golden pepperoni rolls. To begin with, you must gather all of your ingredients. In order to achieve a batch of 10 12 pepperoni rolls, you will need: One seven ounce bag of pepperoni, One sixteen ounce bag of mozzarella cheese, One quarter ounce packet of active dry yeast, milk, flour, sugar,... In the large bowl with your yeast mixture, add one half cup milk, one half cup water, one teaspoon salt, one quarter cup sugar, one teaspoon garlic salt, and mix. You will gradually add flour (approximately two cups) to this mixture. Then, you will thoroughly wash your hands, and briefly knead the dough. You will begin forming the dough into a soft ball. It is important that you do not knead the dough too much, as it will become too tough to eat. In a new bowl, you will measure a quarter cup olive oil, and transfer your dough mixture. Make sure that you have enough olive oil to cover the entire ball of dough. As you continue, you will allow the dough to rise. This can be somewhat tricky, unless you have a proofer. Otherwise, you will fill a large pot full of water, and bring it to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, you will reduce the heat to a simmer. Then, you will cover your bowl of dough with plastic wrap, and place on a cookie rack above the simmering pot of water. It is important that you keep a careful eye on this step. You don t want the bottom of your dough mixture to begin cooking, so repositioning the dough is necessary. Leave the dough above the simmering water until it has doubled in size, making sure it doesn t begin to cook. Toward the end, you will begin preparing the pepperoni rolls. Negative schemas are a key role in GAD because it focuses on how an individual interprets and organizes the world. An individual s cognitive interpretation provides an explanation why anxiety is evoked. In PTSD, a person s negative emotions and dysfunctional thoughts about themselves or their environment are more likely to have PTSD. Individuals diagnosis with MDD tends to have negative thoughts due to their interpretation about themselves and their surrounding which can result in the feeling of worthlessness. Although there is a distinction between euthanasia and death with dignity, the purpose of both is to end one s unbearable pain and suffering. The act of euthanasia has negative connotations that stem from a history of genocide. Nazi Germany is an illustrious example of this deed. Using cyanide gas, the Germans exterminated a large portion of the Jewish population. Contrary to popular opinion, genocide is not limited to the past. The atrocities of this practice resurfaced a multitude of times, such as in the civil war, in Rwanda, as well as the conflict in Darfur. Social conditions in all of these countries contributed towards conflict and crisis situations resulting in the onset of social control. Genocide, often viewed as a deviant action, is also a type of social control. The casualties of these wars were not permitted to die with their dignity. Their deaths, indeed, did engender suffering. In these cases, the affected individuals experienced both active and non voluntary euthanasia. History provides valuable lessons. • 27. Threat Vectors For Cyber Security Threat Vectors There are three main areas identified as threat vectors for cyber security in relation to CIP: IT networks, insider threats, and equipment and software. Normally, ICS operate on an internal network, called OT (Operational Technology). Occasionally, this isolated network requires a connection to the organization s corporate network (IT) for routine operation and management. As displayed in the Ukraine blackout, cyber threats infiltrate an organization s IT systems in order to access ICS networks on the OT network. The methods used to achieve access are often not complex procedures and can be achieved using a wide array of methods, such as spear phishing, malicious URLs, drive by attacks (p. 1). Upon infiltration of an IT network, the threat searches for a lapse in the cyber security program in order to access the OT networks that regulate CI. The second threat vector, insider threat, entails IT networks and OT networks. This threat can arise from negligence or sabotage by members within the organization (intentional or accidental). The structure of an OT network is normally not as complex as an IT network and more susceptible to insider threats. As stated by Epstein (2016), OT networks are usually flat with little or no segmentation, and SCADA systems have outdated software versions that go unpatched regularly (p. 2). Appiah puts forth an account of identity in his book The Ethics of Identity (2010) that sheds light on how one s choices may be effected by the identities they chose. The following will describe Appiah s view of identity and how it influences choice, and conclude by providing commentary concerning how effective Appiah s account of identity is and how it can be improved. Appiah (2010, p. 22 24) uses the term collective identities to define and describe a way of thinking about social identity. However, in order to considered a collective identity, a label (X) must meet three conditions (Appiah, 2010, p. 66 70). The first condition, availability, refers to the fact that the label must be one which exists in the social world. If X is not a label that most are familiar with or that has an agreed upon conceptualization, one cannot identify as X in a way that is socially relevant. The second condition, internalization, states that some people who are labelled X must identify as X and that this identification affects the way they see the world in a meaningful way. The final condition, social response, dictates that there must be a societal response to the label X. These three conditions reveal how the relationship between the self, social groups, and society as a whole interact in Appiah s conception of identity. • 37. College Admissions Essay There was a warm breeze that Friday in September when I packed my two large bags, kissed my family and friends good bye, and left my home. Thus the greatest adventure of my life was begun. On my first day of studying in France, I woke up early and took a quasi shower, which consisted of sprinkling myself with water for hours until all the soap finally drained out of my hair. My dressing procedures were followed by a silent breakfast that consisted of some bitter tasting, dark liquidand a hard, bread like substance. The bread I ate dry, for fear of the dark scary looking pot of jam. I packed my books and headed off for class. As soon as I left my street, a man on a bike stared at me as he passed. Maybe she needs someone to hold her hand. When I got through the stone wall that surrounds my city, there was a small bar, where men sat outside drinking hard liquor at 8:00 in the morning. They all stared at me as I passed and thought seriously about surrounding me and harassing me until I screamed for help. I walked carefully down the narrow sidewalk of the street, until I passed a man walking the opposite way. He tried to run me off the sidewalk and scowled at me just for being in his way. He thought, I wish these Americans would learn how to walk. Not long after that, there was a strange and straggly looking man in my path. He tried to stop me by asking me a question, but I kept walking. I didn t understand the question because he said it in French, but I m pretty sure he was just trying to torture and embarrass me. When I passed the cafe just outside of my school, there were a number of beautiful people drinking their morning coffees. They all stared at me in disgust as I passed, thinking, if we don t get these ugly Americans out of our country soon . . . Finally, I arrived at the little school where I would be taking classes. • 38. Essay On My Second Attack My second attack is an offline dictionary attack against team 10718 (Will Xu). Will stores the salted SHA1 hash of each user s pin in their card file. He salts the hashes by concatenating the pin with the user s name and their account creation time in seconds since Jan 1, 1970. However, usernames can easily be found by examining the card s file name and the creation time can be found by examining the file s creation date. As a result, this salting doesn t do much to protect against an offline dictionary attack against a single user. My attack examines .card files and prints out their associated pins. It does this by conducting a brute force attack in which it guesses creation times and pins and checks the value of Hash(username || pin guess || time guess) against the value of the hash which is stored in the .card file. Because I m able to make good guesses about the card creation time and the pin is short enough to turn up in a small dictionary of possible pins, this attack typically runs in under a second. While it would be possible to examine the card file s creation time to accurately estimate the timestamp which was used in the salt, my attack code simply guesses... Civilization and Its Discontents is a book written by Sigmund Freud in 1929 (originally titled Das Unbehagen in der Kultur or The Uneasiness in Culture.) This is considered to be one of Freud s most important and widely read works. In this book, Freud explains his perspective by enumerating what he sees as fundamental tensions between civilization and the individual. He asserts that this tension stems from the individual s quest for freedom and non conformity and civilization s quest for uniformity and instinctual repression. Most of humankind s primitive instincts are clearly destructive to the health and well being of a humancommunity (such as the desire to kill.) Freud theorizes that this oceanic feeling is a regression into an earlier state of consciousness before the ego had differentiated itself from the world of objects. Freud also theorizes that the religious oceanic feeling arises from the infant s helplessness and the longing for the father and imagine[s] that the oceanic feeling became connected with religion later on. In other words, the oceanic feeling is not a genuine religious experience, though people experience it that way. Throughout the rest of the book, Freud addresses the conflict between civilization and the individual. He starts with the fundamental paradox of civilization: we created civilization as a tool to protect ourselves from unhappiness; however it is our largest source of unhappiness. He also points out that contemporary technological advances have been a mixed blessing for human happiness. He also asks what the purpose of civilization is if it is not to satisfy the pleasure principal. He later concedes that civilization has to make compromises of happiness to fulfill its primary goal of bringing people into peaceful relationships with each other, by making them subject to a higher, communal authority. Freud included a cornucopia of various themes in this book. The first of these is the recurring theme of the primal father and his psychological heritage. This is one of Freud s most controversial cultural speculations. Freud proposes that human societies were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A True War Story Is Never Moral Analysis Beginning in 1965, the Vietnam War was a nearly decade long conflict in which the United States attempted to halt the inevitable rise of Communism in Southeast Asia. Ultimately resulting in the deaths of 60,000 Americans, the Vietnam War was a massive failure in American history ( Vietnam War Fast Facts ). Domestically, the War sparked controversy and protests across the nation. As chaos ensued in Vietnam, many Americans questioned the moral values of the United States Government. In media, such inquiries quickly became a prominent topic, and films such as The Deer Hunter, directed by Michael Cimino, became major hits. Even years later, the Vietnam War remained a significant focus for many Americans, sparking a Vietnam war veteran, Tim O Brien, to write his war story novel, The Things They Carried. In his book, O Brien thoroughly describes the guidelines of a true war story, with a main point being that, A true war story is never moral (O Brien 76).
