I will be designing a twelve week support group for those who have lost someone to suicide. The
purpose of support groups is to help members cope with stressful life events and revitalize existing
coping abilities (Toseland) but the purpose of this specific support group will be to give members
involved a sense of normality and a feeling of belonging. Within such a tragedy it isn t uncommon
to let the grief transcend into a depression or isolation, but it s proven that human relationships (i.e
groups) can provide the needed support for individuals to work through their grief and heal. The
issue addressed will be moving forward after the loss of a loved one.
The group will be closed, as with such personal and delicate content it s important to create trust

audiences. The first text, Sun Vampires from The Big Issue, has been written to inform the

Factors Affecting the Decline in Aging Children
The early teen reading slump has been noted by researchers. Researchers have consistently found
that pleasure reading increases throughout childhood and begins to decline, usually at age
twelve to thirteen. Howard, V. (2009). Unfortunately, few researchers have explored the specific
reasons for this decline from the perspective of teens themselves. Even fewer still have explored
the role that reading for pleasure plays in the lives of young teens. Public libraries focus
simultaneously on improving services to teen patrons and to pleasure readers of all ages as key

One of the most significant barriers in the reading decline is difficulties selecting appealing
reading materials. (p.299). This particular study was collected using focus group questions with
249 completed surveys out of the 900 sent to junior high school students. There were several
factors that effected teen reading and usage of library services. Teens did not view library staff
as a useful source of readers advisory. Teens describe their lives as very busy, leaving little time to
read for pleasure. In this study, many teens note that they have more homework that elementary
school, but also more freedom to socialize. Teens describe their dislike of assigned reading and

Pensive Bodhisattva and Korean Buddhist Art Our lives are closely connected with an art.
People easily regard an artwork as something that is far from our lives, but it is always around
us. Now, I would like to introduce one of Buddhist artworks of Korea. The title is Pensive
Bodhisattva. The artist is unknown. However, it was made in mid 7th century during the Three
Kingdom Period. The dimension of this artwork is 8 7/8 inch and the medium is gilt bronze. It is
located in Gallery 233 among other Korean artworks at the Metropolitan Museum of Art now.
Pensive Bodhisattvahas typical features of the Buddhist artworks. Also, the interesting aspect is
we can see the unique features of the Three Kingdom Period s artwork through this sculpture.
When we see this sculpture at first, the most noticeable point is the bodhisattva s posture. He
sits on the dais and he puts his right leg over his left leg. The right leg also props his right elbow
and his fingers especially the forefinger and the middle finger touch his right chin and he rests
his left hand neatly on his right ankle. The description of his fingers and toes are very realistic.
When we see the fingers and toes, we can feel how the artist put his or her blood into sculpting
each fingers and toes. However, his posture seems agonizing. When we take a closer look his face,
his eyes are closed and he puts gentle smile on his lips. For that reason, his posture reminds us his

lucky enough to grow up around motorcycles, and some of the kindest people I have ever met;
bikers. My dad and his best friend, Ken, had ridden motorcycles together since their junior year
of high school. They both saved up all the money they had earned from bailing hay to buy their
motorcycles. Being reckless, as most teenage boys are, they developed the bad habit of not

SC competed home visit with Pa on 1/22/2016. Present at the visit was Pa s sister who is also
his informal caregiver Gilda. The Home was very clean and well keep. All utilities appears to be
in working order. Pa reported that he s experiencing unsteady gait frequently, but he had no falls.

The purpose of this project was to examine the University of Notre Dame s undergraduate usage of
St. Liam s health center. Five questions were proposed to collect data on specific areas to gain an
understanding of how often and why undergraduate students seek out St. Liam s services. We
believe that St. Liam s is underutilized and hypothesized that not many undergraduates use the
services provide. Furthermore, we suspect that factors such as stress and grades (GPA) affect a
student s health, which would prompt them to visit and use St. Liam s health center. One of the
target questions focused on St. Liam s mental health and counseling services. We aim to determine
what type of mental health issue increases the number of times undergraduates students visited St.
Liam s for mental health/counseling services. Our results indicated that there is a relationship
between the student s type of issue and the number of visits to St. Liam s. From this, we can draw
from the raw data that the issue most prevalent in causing students to seek out counseling is mental
illness such as depression and bipolar disorder, with stress being the third most prominent cause.
However, majority of the students reported having no issue, but this did not affect the number of
visits these students made to St. Liam s. An equal number of students reporting no issue made a
different amount of trips to St. Liam s for mental health services, implying that most students are
just as likely to use St. Liam s.

a man who actually does mistake his wife for a hat. The man in this story has a rare disease that
makes the man see things differently and he cant tell between what is what. This makes the man
mistake his wife for a hat because he can t tell. In his mind he literally think that her head is a hat.
When he sees his wife his brain reads it as if it was a hat instead. Because of this he is constantly
his taking her head for a hat. Even when he is 6 inches away from something he cant tell what it
is, unless smelling it will help him identify what it is. This neurological disorder is a serious in
pack on his loved ones around him but to him he is able to live and he is a music teacher even
