Robertson discusses the representation of women in the Lais of de France and how they were
constructed around the feudal society and were meant to represent the female agency. Robertson goes

In Europe in the early 17th century, Christianity was the dominant religion. Most countries believed
that it was the only acceptable one, and that there should not be any toleration for other religions. In
many countries, the monarchs (or the other rulers) would enforce Christianity and persecute people
with other beliefs. Some of these beliefs, however, changed during the Age of Enlightenment from the
late 1600 s to the mid 1700 s. The philosophers during the Age of Enlightenment influenced peoples
way of thinking through their ideas of reason, empiricism, and the power of nature. The ideas that the
philosophers had eliminated the stranglehold that religion had on the people and the government.

Existentialism is highly regarded when it comes to artists and artwork. Sartre is a well known

Across different cultures, different colours represent different things. Because of how American this
movie is, Harold and Maude take on a north American colour scheme when trying to represent ideas
on screen. At the beginning of the movie, dominant colours are black and white, representing

It takes a village to raise a child, or at least it was once believed to. It seems each year parents are
getting younger in age, and the birth rate is rising higher. Mississippi has the highest birth rates in teen
pregnancy, and has held this title for the past few years. This problem has had such a rise to fame
because this is a problem that can be prevented. Parents and communities should take action to help
lower the teen pregnancy birth rate in Mississippi. Since the birth rate in teens is so high that means
there is more need of government assistance. This becomes such a problem in states because with
more government assistance come more money, and in states like Mississippi, who is ranked as one of
the poorest states in America, this falls back on everyone. Even though the birth rate has gotten out of

Suicide causes, etiologies, and prevention strategies were examined in Mesa county of western
Colorado. The highest population at risk for completion of suicide within Mesa county and that of the
national average were found to be White males between the ages of 36 54 years of age. Risk factors of
suicide and demographics of this population were assessed and compared to the efficacy of current
suicide programs utilized within Mesa county. Data was then compared from Mesa county s
demographics, suicide rates, and prevention programs to current literature and the District of
Columbia, which hosts the lowest suicide rate in the country. The juxtaposition of current literature
