To start off, a part I did not like about the book was the part about Ove s dad. I felt as though this
complicated the plot a lot and was not necessary to the base of the book. It did not need to be
added into the book because it had no effect to my understanding of what was happening in the
book. If anything it made me more confused because it went back in time, then it came back to
the present and it was confusing what time period we were in at the moment. A good part of the
book was when Parvaneh was becoming friends with Ove because he needed to get out of his
daily routine. Ove needed someone to shake up the life he had been living for many years. I
would not recommend this book to adolescents because the book was confusing at some points
and the humor was guided towards the adults. Personally, I would read another book by Fredrik
Backman because the book was still very well written. I also could understand the book, for the
most part. To continue, this book would be better read by adults because the humor was more
guided to that age group. Also, this book is still relevant today because people do not live forever.
We have to learn to move on from the bad times just like Ove did. When a loved one dies we feel

Poetry Essay Beauty is a subjective idea that focuses on the characteristics preferable to a single
species that gives an advantage over another and at the cost of another species survival. Humans
have created astounding empires with beautiful cities and monuments because they were the most
progressive species that are able to do so because of their capacity for violence. Some empires fear
for their survival, so they must eliminate any threat whether it be humans or other animals. The
poem, Thanks by Yusef Komunyakaa, it symbolizes how humans can become single minded only
driven by their own personal desires at the sake of anyone else. Humans naturally commit ugly
atrocities to progress their own beauty, or at least idea of, and they instinctively oppose nature
because mankind is the dark side of nature. The poem describes the life of a man during the
Vietnam War, a conflict involving the United States and local Vietnamese who supported a
communist regime, and how unexplainable sporadic events saved his life. He gives thanks to an

situations where their choice plays a role in their fate. In No Country for Old Men, the fate of
characters is determined by their actions and choices.

officer is dead on the floor after being strangled by Chigurh. Some people might claim that the

The television show being analyzed in this paper will be a political drama known as, House of
Cards. The television show is a Netflix series that was produced by Beau Willimon. The first
episode takes place in present day Washington D.C. The show House of Cards is about a man
named Francis Underwood who is a Congress man, and is also known as the House Majority Whip.
Underwood is denied the privilege of Secretary of State, and so the show reveals episode by
episode the elaborate plan that Underwood has developed in order to get revenge from the
people who denied him Secretary of State and to gain a position of higher power. The paper will

The series then reveals to the audience that Underwood helped secure the election of Walker in
order to gain the position of Secretary of State. Underwood is disappointed to find out though
that he is being passed over, and will not become Secretary of State. The Chief of Staff Linda
Vasquez is the woman who presents the unfortunate news to Underwood, and explains that the
President would like to continue to keep Underwood in Congress and not in a higher position.
Underwood incredibly distressed concerning the news develops an elaborate plan to go behind
the Presidents back and to gain ultimate power for himself. Underwood s wife, Claire
Underwood is set in motivates her husbands elaborate plan and also wishes to seek ultimate
power. The episode continues with Francis Underwood manipulating several characters, one
being a political reporter, Zoe Barnes. Underwood develops a relationship with Barnes in order to
create a deal for her to publish damaging stories of his political rivals. Underwood also manipulates
in the episode Peter Russo, who is also a Congressman. The episode then continues with

Moonwalk Paintings
The first painting that caught my attention was Moonwalk made in 1987 by Andy Warhol. This
painting was one of Andy Warhol s final work. There are several versions of this painting, a
yellow version and a pink version. The Yellow version of the Moonwalk painting looks as if the
sun is reflecting off of the astronaut and the flag. The pink version gives a feeling of warmth like
some sort of heat signature is appearing off of the painting itself. The painting gives off a an
allusion of a near three dimensional form with its overlapping of the line and color on the astronaut
the flag and the surface of the moon.
The second painting that attracted my attention at the museum was a painting called Barbe du
