to march to different concentration camps, people who could not walk on their own in a line were

associations and distractions can have on memoryrecall. We hypothesized that when an association
was present, participants would be able to record more words than when there not any associations

The movie The Pianist depicts the Holocaust in a way that gives the viewer a deeper
understanding of it. The story of Wladyslaw Szpilman shows what it was like for a Jew to
experience the Holocaust firsthand. In the movie, Szpilman and other Jews were first forced to
wear the star of David on their shirts when outside. They were then sent to the Warsawghetto.
