The Earth s Inadequate Supply Of Natural Resources
Mallory York
Environmental Science
September 10, 2015
The Earth s inadequate supply of natural resources will only be able to tolerate 2 billion humans by
2100, the bad thing about that is, is that the world already feeds and supports 5.9 billion. The ideal
human population, or carrying capacity, for the U.S. is projected to be 200 million, which is way
fewer than the current population of the United States. This is a growing problem in not only the
United States but also around our world today. The growing of population can lead to the diminishing
of more than one or two of our natural resources. For more than a couple years the population has
been growing faster than our renewable and non renewable resources. Not only will we have ... Show

If we could drop the rate of the people reproducing that aren t financially capable of raising children
then we could drop the carrying capacity rate making our natural resources more abundant.
Reproducing was looked at very differently 150 years ago, when lifespans were shorter, it was
important to the survival of humanity for young women to bear children at an early age. Today, with
longer lives due to modern medicine and sanitation, more infants are surviving childhood, and adults
are living longer lives (World Population Awareness). If women continue to have children at younger
ages and the birth rate continues to stay the same for the normal bearing mothers then we will
continue to have a major increase in our population. It is said that if a region is experiencing a net
population growth rate (even 1% doubles in 70 years), or if it is already exceeding carrying capacity, it
is important for sex education, family planning, and self esteem programs to be concentrated on young
women in their teen years (World Population Awareness). The more teens that are reproducing at a
younger age the more problems we will face in the future with lack of natural resources. If teens are
getting the proper sex education programs while they are still young there could be a chance for this to
turn around. Like stated above, many years ago when the life span was

Classifying Criminal Cases
There are two different ways to classify crimes in a court of law. One being criminal and the other
civil. In this paper I will explain the difference between civil and criminal law and how these cases are
handled.
Criminal law pertains to a crime or an act against the public rather than one individual. The
government will bring legal action against the person for committing a crime. If the person is found
guilty, the defendant may have to pay some type of a fine, serve time in jail, or be placed on probation
(msbar.org). A civil case is a dispute between two people, or parties, on a certain issue. One party can
sue the other, and it is then up to a jury to determine if there is liability. The court may order the guilty
party to pay money to the other party or to fulfill an obligation.
Civil cases are brought by an individual or corporation wanting to collect money that is owed or
money due to damages for a crime. A criminal case is brought on by the local, state or federal
government ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

caused cars to stop, as he ran through red lights. The lead officer finally rammed Scott which caused
him to run off the road and crash. Scott was rendered a quadriplegic due to the accident . He sued
Deputy Harris for violating his Fourth Amendment rights and that it was not reasonable to use deadly
force to end the pursuit because he had only committed a traffic violation (Scott v. Harris).
The element of mens rea is when Mr. Scott decided to flee from the police in a routine traffic stop. This
case would be classified as mala prohibita because Mr. Scott decided to run from the police he did it
anyway even though it is prohibited by law to do so. This case also has actus reus which is a guilty
act. The guilty act was Mr. Scott speeding and fleeing from the police(crime

The Ocean s Future is in Trouble
The oceans are in trouble. The animals and plants are in danger of being killed. People are also being
harmed by toxins in the water. Why is this happening? The ocean is full of trash and other forms of
pollution from humans like noise pollution. The ocean is not a garbage can, people! People are
creating too much trash and a lot of it is ending up in the oceans. What can be done about this? People
could create less garbage. The environment could be helped by taking simple steps like bring your

plastic pieces. Each item is just another major threat to the world s oceans. Trash hurt animals in many
ways. They could eat it or get stuck in it etc. Beaches and oceans worldwide are filled with trash.
A lot of people are worrying about the world s oceans these days. In 2000, Congress passed the
landmark Oceans Act, an act that establish a commission of experts to assess threats to marine life and
resources and develop recommendations for a new comprehensive ocean policy.
Activists are angry at the White House s rejection of its own commission s proposal to take $4 billion
out of federal offshore oil and gas money to fund an oceans trust fund.
Every year the Ocean Conservancy organizes an international coastal cleanup where over 500,000
volunteers pick up millions of tons of trash. Every piece of trash hurts the ocean and the animals and
plants.
Coastlines are popular tourists attraction. The more people there are, the more trash there is. Avoid
single use water bottles, coffee mugs and grocery bags.
Cargo ships sometimes spill garbage, and some of it floats out to sea from the shore. 80% of the trash
that ends up in the ocean comes from the shore.

Marketing to Foreign Buyers (Interview with Jessica Marks, Real Estate Marketing Specialist)
First of all, to make sure that the international real estate marketing ideas revealed and discussed in
this E Series do actually work, we have to turn to a practical life example of how Jessica Marks, the
real estate marketer for a South Florida developer of boutique luxury townhomes, had successfully
used the methods presented in this E Series for marketing and selling the properties to foreign buyers
with some advice of the author as her international consultant.
The most sought after method of marketing is low budget, but effective , and this was exactly what
Jessica wanted when she was hired as Business Development Director for the development project: It
was clear that we needed to maximize our exposure abroad. Unlike other high rise condos and larger
new developments, our budget is smaller and the funds we have are not going in to marketing but
rather to ensuring we turn over a phenomenal, well made, and meticulously constructed quality home
for our clients.
Does it sound familiar to you, the readers, who are realtors, developers and private real estate sellers

The Emergence Of Applicant Tracking Systems ( Ats )
The emergence of applicant tracking systems (ATS) has gained a reputation beginning early in the
new millennium. The use of ATS gives companies a method to manage a mass amount of candidate
data and causes the job seeker to do more work. The main characteristic of ATS is the piece that
selects resumes for further review. This can be a standalone system or module within a human
resources management system. Two of the larger ATS is Taleo which is an Oracle company and
Kenexa which is a part of IBM. Often times when a job seeker is browsing on a company website or

system is being used. ATS are meant to provide customized solutions for these ... Show more content

Some screeners eyeball every submission that comes in, while others search for certain keywords
among applications. Likewise, there are screeners who consider cover letters in their evaluations and
those who ignore them. Career experts suggest erring on the side of caution. Submit a carefully
written cover letter and insert keywords must have qualifications usually found in the job posting with
every application. Job hunters should expect to wait anywhere from a few days to several weeks
before receiving a response to an application, if at all. (Needleman). The system will look for those
words to determine who moves forward in the process. However, newer technology analyzes the
words and looks for context and relevance and can check where in someone s work history a skill was
used. These techniques make it harder to manipulate the system. Such tricks like filling your resume
with keywords in white font so people can t read it will not work with later technology. Resumes
posted in applicant tracking systems are seen by two viewers: the computer, then hopefully a human.
The resume has to perform well in the ATS, and then when it is presented to a hiring manager it has to
look good. Social media has changed the way businesses work and recruit for new employees. Once
hiring managers get a hold of resumes, they look for ways to exclude

What Is The Lucky Lady Charm Essay
As part of Novomatic s Novoline series of pokies, Lucky Lady Charm takes its place amount other
Novomatic classics such as Dolphins Pearl and Sizzling Hot. For many years now, the company has
employed a tactic and formula that seems to keep churning out pokies that work for the player. It s not
a bad idea to have a somewhat standard game format that allows the company to simply swap out one
theme for another. It s worth noting that the Lucky Lady Charm pokie was successful enough to
warrant a sequel titled Lucky Lady Charm Deluxe.
Without being too critical of Novomatic, players should approach the Lucky Lady Charm casino game

Tuna That Go By The Scientific Name Of Thunnus Maccoyii
Tuna that go by the scientific name of Thunnus Maccoyii (Dennis. M et.al, 2010) are one of the most
valuable finfish cultured within Australian and most sought after for sushi within Japan. The waters
generally out from Port Lincoln within Spencer Gulf, South Australia are where the tuna are mainly
cultured in Australia due to the water temperature being ideal for the culture of these highly valued
finfish. Tuna is within the top four of the most valuable cultured aquatic species in Australia especially
Southern Bluefin Tuna (SBT) which are valued at four hundred dollars per fish making the transport
and capture of these fish very important where damage is avoided at all costs. The transport of the
captured fish from the wild in nets back into shallower water where they can then participate in the
ranching stage can lead to serious problems and can bring upon mortalities if done incorrectly.
Ranching is the process of temporally holding wild fish at sea to fatten them on baitfish. (Kirchoff. N
et. al 2011 pg1) This process of transportation from the wild back into the grow out pontoons or cages
for ranching can lead to effects on a fish s health, performance and or even disease and parasite
infection.

Reflection Of The Five Wishes
Week Nine Journal
Upon reflection of the Five Wishes, several thoughts came to mind. First and foremost, having a
designated advanced directive is critical. There are countless examples of clinical experiences in with
which families were overwhelmed with unexpected end of life decisions. As an educated caregiver, we
should personally take the necessary steps to assure these tough decisions are known to someone who
can facilitate the level of care desired. Such consideration of these elements of care in advance can
help to support our loved ones during this emotional time. After review of the five wishes, I

Therefore, acknowledgment of personal values needs to be understood and kept in check when having
these discussions. Furthermore, these discussions are better received when one can intelligently speak
to each question and apply the language to the discussions with patients and families. Moreover,
reflecting on these questions can help the clinician be prepared for sensitive questions that may arise.
All of these measures will help guide the advanced directive formulation process.
The content of the Five Wishes document can be applied to practice by giving healthcare professionals
words to use in the dialog that occurs when having a discussion related to end of life desires. Many
times, during these challenging topics and moments staff, patients, and families do not know how to
discuss dying or what to ask for during the days leading up to death. Additionally, this document can
serve to offer an unbiased conversation. Lastly, Five Wishes can help to translate allowing natural
death, end of life moments, comfort, and dying with dignity. Specialized areas of care such as
intensive care settings can utilize this document to help patients and families make decisions and
understand the kinds of care that will be given to their loved one.

Definition Of Just Culture Leadership
Just Culture Leadership
A Just Culture is a proactive, learning culture that sees events as opportunities instead of misfortunes
and in healthcare is directed towards patient safety and improving patient outcomes. Allowing
employees to report errors without being reprimanded promotes trust. Human errors are costly and can
lead to death when providing care to patients. Creating an environment that fosters learning in
preventing errors boost employees morale. A learning environment allows individual to reflect on the
situation and their behavior that caused harm or potential harm to the patient. A Just Culture

Encompassing every department within the hospital is vital to establishing the culture. Leaders need to
portray the just culture they are trying to instill by their actions, words, and behavior (Emory
University, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, 2013). Leading by example management
creates a mold to change the culture to one that focuses on providing a safe healthcare environment
(Marquis Huston, 2015). The change to the culture is dependent on the actions and examples set by
the leaders and the treatment of employees. Without leaders setting the framework to guide the
organization, a just culture is unattainable. Leaders are crucial to establishing the pathway of a just
culture.
A just culture is necessary in healthcare to promote an environment where mistakes are brought out in
the open and analyzed for ways to prevent errors from repeating. Therefore, there is a need for a
consensus across the healthcare industry. To transform healthcare from the blame culture to a just
culture will require change that extends beyond hospitals to the industry (Ross, 2015). The change has
to be unified across all aspects of healthcare.

According to Watkins (2013), organizational culture is not well defined. However, Watkins (2013)
lists characteristics of organizational culture as: observable consistent behavior patterns, an alignment

Overcoming Adversity In Saul Indian Horse
It is your reaction to adversity itself, that determines how your life story will develop . Dieter F.

adversity and personally develop and learn that experience to improve your life. In the novel Indian
Horse written by Richard Wagamese and Friday Night Lights written by H.G Bissigner Saul Indian
Horse and various members of the Permian football team encounter adversity respectively. Saul Indian
Horse overcomes adversity throughout the novel while the Permian High school fails to. In both
novels, adversity is encountered through discrimination, personal barriers and unfortunate life
experience. Discrimination and stereotypes are both forms of adversity that attack someone based on
who they are and are challenges that need to be overcome; this is apparent in both novels. The Kelly s

The Characteristics And Effects Of The Human Brain
The Human Brain is the most important organ in the body. Much like the headquarters of the body.
Without the brain the rest of the body will suffer. The brain also creates different traits and
personalities. How ever when the brain doesn t function properly it will cause many effects to an
individual. These effects can range from minimal to severe, depending on what is wrong with the
brain.
The human brain is protected by a bone structure in a form of a skull. The brain has a light pink, pail,
and noodle look to it. It has lines in the brain to section parts of the brain. The brain feels like jello, it s
stays in place but squishy. Put to much pressure on it, it will break. The human brain is very sensitive.
The human brain is also wet and slimy, like the feeling of boggers. The human brain has its own odd
smell. Like rotting food in the trash. The average brain weighs about three pounds. Robbie Gonzalez
stated Assume it feels solid, firm, almost rubber like. But the brains you encounter in a lab setting
have almost always been fixed and preserved with chemicals like formaldehyde, which have a
dramatic effect on the texture and firmness of tissue like brain matter (Gizmodo). What Robbie is
saying that brains that are in lab class feel different than a fresh brain. The reason why they feel
different is that in the lab their preserved with chemicals. That s what Robbie was talking about.

Essay on Jeffersonian Vs. Jacksonian Democracy in the US
How might we distinguish Jacksonian democracy from Jeffersonian democracy ?
A period of nearly 30 years are associated with the Presidency of Jefferson, his successors and his
democracy from 1801 until Andrew Jackson s election in 1828. A vision of a united, equal America,
limited government and natural aristocracy ruled the Jeffersonian style of democracy. However, with
the election of Andrew Jackson in 1828, a new form of democracy, differentiating in multiply ways to
the Jeffersonian America, engulfed the American political and social scene. Jacksonian Democracy, a

Glenn E. Hoover submits a slightly different approach, suggesting that Jefferson was not a supporter
of elitism but instead he recognized that there was among men, a natural aristocracy of ability.
However, these differences...did not justify any unequal treatment . Therefore, it can be seen that
Jeffersonian democracy did not favour the privileged but recognised their existence within society,
acknowledging the ability for people to transcend social classes through their own efforts.
Jackson conversely championed, as Edward Pessen put it, the common white man and was distrustful
of the Jeffersonian natural aristocracy. Jackson was known to have had a simple rural background, the
first president to be known by a nickname and the first President to have achieved the most prestigious
office in America without rising through high office at Washington. All these factors strengthened the
idea that his democracy favoured the common man, something the Jeffersonian could not claim. To
Jacksonians, the country s future lay in the hands of the common white man, an idea supported
through the fact that the percentage of [the] eligible population that voted...[averaged] sixty nine

because he only had three months of formal education. Eventually, Edison began to favor in
independent self instruction because of his poor hearing. Edison in his younger years took to reading
books to learn about the arts, the histories, and the sciences (Beals). At a very young age Edison
became an adult (Beals). He had talked his parents into letting him sell newspapers, snacks, and candy
at the railroad; he had also started a separate business on selling fruits and vegetables. When learning
about Edison in his childhood, one can understand he was not the average kid growing up. He had a
different approach to life in which he craved for knowledge and obtained a hard work ethic in his
young years. In his mid teens he saved the son of the railroad stationmaster from a box cart and the
grateful father taught Edison how to master Morse code and the telegraph. This allowed him to get a
job as a telegraph operator (Beals). This opened the way for Edison s experimenting with technology
and how to further enhance it. After working as a telegraph operator he created his first invention, the

Community Policing Issues
Police administrators have to hold their officers to a high ethical standard and the officials themselves
must be held to a high moral level, if law enforcement agencies and community relationships are
going to be strengthened. According to Rukus, Warner, and Zhang, Community policing strategies
were designed to give residents greater empowerment by allowing them to participate in deliberations
on policing and work more closely with officers on the street (Community Oriented Policing Services,
2014). In order for officers ethics to be shown, they must communicate and bond with the citizens in
the communities that they serve. Today, many people just believe that police officers are bad because
officers have been portrayed as individuals who just arrest and shoot people. Police officers should
communicate with people every day, not just when they are arresting someone or serving warrants.
Overall, the article by Rukus was very informative. It highlighted the pros of law enforcement
agencies, building community relationships and the citizen s roles in establishing those relationships.

Also, the command staff will require officers to park their cruisers and talk to people in the
community for a decent amount of time, weekly. Organizations that have a lot of racism throughout
their ranks, have a difficult time with getting and maintaining the trust of everyone in the community.
This is because if a certain race can t trust that officers are going to be fair when policing, then they
can be intimidated by the officers and have a distrust for the agency as a whole. The second is this,
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself (Mark 12:31). The Bible suggests that an agency who has
police officers who are racist in their ranks are offending God. God calls all of His children to love

Extermination Camps In The Holocaust
The Holocaust is generally defined as the systematic slaughter of over six million Jews, about two
thirds of the European Jewish population, by the Nazi rule under Adolf Hitler during the World War II
era. While extermination of the Jewish race was the main goal of the Nazis, millions of other people
who were considered racially inferior were also killed (The Holocaust). This unfortunate group of
people included, but was not limited to, homosexuals, the physically and mentally disabled, Jehovah s
Witnesses, and Gypsies (Non Jewish Victims). These killings were a result of a long history of anti
Semitism, and they had long lasting effects on survivors and families of victims. The slaughter of
inferior races took place in concentration camps and extermination camps. Jean Francois Steiner states
in her article Treblinka , Extermination camps were built to supplement earlier concentration camps
used to contain political prisoners, Jews, and other forced laborers (many of whom also died there).
When prisoners arrived at extermination camps, they were stripped of their clothing and directed to
gas chambers where they all died in unison (Steiner). The luckier of the prisoners, if one can call them
lucky, were taken to concentration camps, also known as labor camps, instead of extermination camps
(Synder). Concentration camps were a place where people were confined against their will, usually in
unsanitary conditions, against their human rights (Mercadal). Upon arriving at

Signifier In Gillette Advertisement
Semiotics is defined as the study of symbols and signs as elements of communicative behaviour (Nöth

objects, image, or words on a page whilst signified is the concept the sign reflects.
Gillette Advert The signifier in the Gillette advertisement is represented by a naked man s torso with
contours similar to a landscape. It is clear that the torso is of man not a woman because of the
masculine physique. It is also appears that the model chosen for the image could be of Caucasian,
Hispanic or Asian descent and not of an African decent because the contrast between his skin s colour
and the contours is very pronounced, an indication of two contrasting hues or colour shades. Also, the
lighting of the image provides a 3 dimension view of the man s torso to highlight hidden areas that are

by Roland Barret/Juan Tizol . For a high school band they had very strong beginning, the song was
very fast tempo, and lots of bold accents through the piece. The tenor sax was really the star of this
piece the band was really following him instead the tenor sax kind of keeping time and beat. The band
played about 2 more songs and LCHS Jazz I came on to stage about played another 3 songs as well.
One the played was Called The Chicken arranged by Kris Berg/Alfred James . This songs included a
lot of saxophones solos from alto sax to baritone sax. The trumpet also played a big part to for solo,
this piece they did lot of crescendos as well as decrescendos. It gave a more bold jazz feeling which I
really enjoyed. Last but not least the NMSU jazz I came about on the stage to finish out the concert.
They had four songs to play instead of three like the other bands. They started off with Cell Talk

A Feminist Perspective of John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums
John Steinbeck, in his short story The Chrysanthemums depicts the trials of a woman attempting to
gain power in a man s world. Elisa Allen tries to define the boundaries of her role as a woman in such
a closed society. While her environment is portrayed as a tool for social repression, it is through nature
in her garden where Elisa gains and shows off her power. As the story progresses, Elisa has trouble
extending this power outside of the fence that surrounds her garden. In the end, Elisa learns but does
not readily accept, that she possesses a feminine power weak for the time, not the masculine one she
had tried so hard to achieve through its imitation.

environment surrounds all persons, fences surround animals and men surround women.
As she looks out to these men, we look at Elisa. Although she is doing the feminine work of
gardening, she is dressed like a man. She wore a black hat low on her forehead to cover her hair, thick
leather gloves covered her hands, and clodhopper shoes covering her small woman s feet. A big
corduroy apron covered the dress making her figure look blocked and heavy (396). Unconsciously, as
she looks through her fence at the men talking business, she is trying to cover up her feminine
qualities. She longs to be in their position and possess their characteristics.
As she does her gardening, something she enjoys and excels in, Her face was lean and strong... eager

woman attempting or at least imagining living as a part of such a man s world.
Yet Elisa s power is not used for masculine activities; in fact, her power is derived from a feminine
source, nature. Mother Nature, a female, controls the environment. This female power is part of

Values Of Christianity And Paganism In The Wanderer
Most scholars think The Wanderer first appeared as a piece of oral poetry during the 5th or 6th
century, a time when the Germanic Pagan culture of Anglo Saxon England was undergoing a
conversion to Christianity. It contains traces of both traditional Germanic warrior culture and of a
Christian value system. The speaker for much of the poem is a warrior who has had to go into exile
after the slaughter of his lord and relatives in battle. Now, he contemplates what the experience of the
exile teaches him about life.
For most of the poem, the speaker expresses traditional Germanic beliefs about how a wise man
should act, the inevitability of death, and mankind s inability to change his fate. The poem is
bookended, though, by the Christian idea of the possibility of God s favor and grace, which the
speaker holds up as the only possible refuge from all the misery he witnesses. The relationship
between fate in Old English, wyrd and God s grace is not clear in the poem; the presence of both
might be evidence of The Wanderer s position at the meeting point of Christianity and Paganism.
The Wanderer is both a lament for all the things the speaker and people more generally have lost, and
also a reflection on what wise men learn from their life experiences. With this dynamic duo, The
Wanderer combines parts of two traditional genres of Old English poetry: the elegy, or lament, and the
wisdom poem. These two genres aren t unrelated, since Anglo Saxon poets believed that

Essay on Art History
In the early 1700s, the monarchies failures at finance, national debt, involvement in multiple wars
with little care given to veterans and rising unemployment inflamed the people. When coupled with
the monarchies lifestyles of lavish spending on countless mistresses, flouting morals, excessive parties
at court, and political favors, the popularity of royalty was quickly disintegrating. The irresponsibility
of the aristocracy was no longer ignored, and a movement was beginning. This set the stage for
political change.
Writers such as Thomas Hobbes (1588 1679) and John Locke (1632 1704) of England experienced
these changes and began exploring the ideals of republicanism and liberalism through their writing.

It did not take long for the ideas to spread through Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain,
Portugal, and the American Colonies. The American Revolution began in 1775, and Thomas Paine
wrote Common Sense in January of 1776. Voltaire who had written thousands of letters, books, and
pamphlets finished his Dictionnaire Philosophique in 1764, and the French Revolution began in 1789.
As these social, political, and moral views changed, so too did the style the arts used to communicate
life. It was during this Age of Enlightenment that the Neoclassical era in art history began by
reflecting these changing views using a style much less ornate and gilded than the Baroque and
Rococo styles that had previously dominated artistic endeavors. Strict adherence to simple classical
style with an aim to technical perfection was favored and borrowed heavily from Greek and Roman
pieces discovered earlier in the 1700s. Art was approached with the same logic and reason of the age
and with much less emotion and drama than Baroque or Rococo.
The subject matter was often dark and serious, morally and ethically upright, or heroic. Where the
aristocracy had valued drama, emotion, and grandeur, the people now valued self denial and self
sacrifice over self indulgence. The colors were often dark or solemn and made use of chiaroscuro,

likely has an important meaning in her life. Fuck, as an adjective is usually used to express strong,

spelled nothing else in her alphabet correctly, Precious knows how to spell fuck and how to use it

emotions. Using fuck as a verb indicates the act of having sex, though it is being expressed in a lewd

Ionic bonding involves electrons being transferred from atoms of a metal to a non metal, this is a
result of the electrostatic attractions which occurs between oppositely charged ions.
Ionic bonding can be found in compounds of metals in Groups 1 and 2 such as calcium and sodium
which are able to lose a negative electron in order to gain a full outer shell, which in turn become
positively charged as have lost an electron which are electrons are negative. Ionic bonding can be

Medicare is government program that covers individuals 65 and older and disabled. Medicare is single

Psychosocial Development is a theory that says every individual goes through eight stages throughout
their life as they get older. He states that every person has a crisis in each stage and the outcome of
each stage shapes how one is and how one will be for the rest of their lives. The first stage is trust

the world is unpredictable all their life. It is clear that Antwone gained mistrust because he was born in

before he was born. An example of Antwone showing mistrust later in his life is in the beginning of
the movie. A white guy who was in the navy with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is during the ages 18 to 40 (early adulthood). This stage deals with forming personal relationships
and feeling loved. Successful relationships are one that are enduring and secure. Having a strong sense
of self identity is important for developing intimate relationships according to Erickson. People in less
committed relationships are more likely to suffer emotional isolation, loneliness, and depression. At
first, Antwone is isolated. He was 25 and had never been in a relationship before and was still a virgin.
This is because he was traumatized as a child when he got raped by Nadine at the age of six and he
was still finding who he was. By the end, he was in a happy relationship with Cheryl, who he was

Descriptive Memory
When there s a memory you can t forget it s either because it was so pleasant and brought happiness
while it was happening, so you remember that specific moment and enjoy the good memories of it and
smile. Or, you can t forget it simply because it was such a bad experience that you hold on to the
memory to hope to never come across something similar. I wouldn t say that my first job is
unforgettable because of the joy it brought to me; sure it brought me some financial freedom and
independence. But it s easier to remember due to the sacrifices I had to make as a sophomore in high
school. Yes, I was a Cicis Pizza employee. Do you ever drive down the street and see someone
holding up a big sign stating some type of promotion? Of course you see them, that s the point as to
why they are doing it, to catch your attention. What would catch my attention more was how hot,
musty and sticky that person must be, holding that sign up under this powerfully, blazing, draining
Miami sun. Well I never thought that at one point, I would be holding a large Cicis Pizza buffet sign
under those sizzling circumstances. Not to mention our uniform was a black t shirt, black Dickies,
black sneakers, and a black hat. Dripping in sweat my first hour of being clocked in, with some type
of outdoor odor encarved in my uniform, and already feeling a little tired with an uneven sunburn.
How was I going to pull through the rest of my shift? Was I wrong for already disliking my job only
being an hour in? Every day as a Cicis Pizza employee that s what my first hour consisted of, trying to
get more people to come dine inn our restaurant. My boss made it clear that if I had to hold my sign
and jump up and down, shout out Cici s Pizza!! Come have lunch here , throw my sign around, or
twirl it to get more people to look, that s what I had to do. Whatever it was I had to ensure that the
amount of customers coming in today was greater than yesterdays. At times, I would even gather a
group of my friends or family and tell them to go, and tell them to bring along some of their friends to.
I would even comment to them how I would give them a good pricing deal, or how we could even
create and personalize their own flavorful pizza.Whether it was a

  • 2. The Earth s Inadequate Supply Of Natural Resources Mallory York Environmental Science September 10, 2015 The Earth s inadequate supply of natural resources will only be able to tolerate 2 billion humans by 2100, the bad thing about that is, is that the world already feeds and supports 5.9 billion. The ideal human population, or carrying capacity, for the U.S. is projected to be 200 million, which is way fewer than the current population of the United States. This is a growing problem in not only the United States but also around our world today. The growing of population can lead to the diminishing of more than one or two of our natural resources. If we could drop the rate of the people reproducing that aren t financially capable of raising children then we could drop the carrying capacity rate making our natural resources more abundant. Reproducing was looked at very differently 150 years ago, when lifespans were shorter, it was important to the survival of humanity for young women to bear children at an early age. The more teens that are reproducing at a younger age the more problems we will face in the future with lack of natural resources. If teens are getting the proper sex education programs while they are still young there could be a chance for this to turn around. Like stated above, many years ago when the life span was ... • 5. Classifying Criminal Cases There are two different ways to classify crimes in a court of law. One being criminal and the other civil. In this paper I will explain the difference between civil and criminal law and how these cases are handled. Criminal law pertains to a crime or an act against the public rather than one individual. The government will bring legal action against the person for committing a crime. If the person is found guilty, the defendant may have to pay some type of a fine, serve time in jail, or be placed on probation (msbar.org). A civil case is a dispute between two people, or parties, on a certain issue. One party can sue the other, and it is then up to a jury to determine if there is liability. The court may order the guilty party to pay money to the other party or to fulfill an obligation. Civil cases are brought by an individual or corporation wanting to collect money that is owed or money due to damages for a crime. A Feminist Perspective of John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums John Steinbeck, in his short story The Chrysanthemums depicts the trials of a woman attempting to gain power in a man s world. Elisa Allen tries to define the boundaries of her role as a woman in such a closed society. While her environment is portrayed as a tool for social repression, it is through nature in her garden where Elisa gains and shows off her power. As the story progresses, Elisa has trouble extending this power outside of the fence that surrounds her garden. She wore a black hat low on her forehead to cover her hair, thick leather gloves covered her hands, and clodhopper shoes covering her small woman s feet. A big corduroy apron covered the dress making her figure look blocked and heavy (396). • 29. Values Of Christianity And Paganism In The Wanderer Most scholars think The Wanderer first appeared as a piece of oral poetry during the 5th or 6th century, a time when the Germanic Pagan culture of Anglo Saxon England was undergoing a conversion to Christianity. It contains traces of both traditional Germanic warrior culture and of a Christian value system. The speaker for much of the poem is a warrior who has had to go into exile after the slaughter of his lord and relatives in battle. Now, he contemplates what the experience of the exile teaches him about life. For most of the poem, the speaker expresses traditional Germanic beliefs about how a wise man should act, the inevitability of death, and mankind s inability to change his fate. The poem is bookended, though, by the Christian idea of the possibility of God s favor and grace, which the speaker holds up as the only possible refuge from all the misery he witnesses. The relationship between fate in Old English, wyrd and God s grace is not clear in the poem; the presence of both might be evidence of The Wanderer s position at the meeting point of Christianity and Paganism. The Wanderer is both a lament for all the things the speaker and people more generally have lost, and also a reflection on what wise men learn from their life experiences. With this dynamic duo, The Wanderer combines parts of two traditional genres of Old English poetry: the elegy, or lament, and the wisdom poem. These two genres aren t unrelated, since Anglo Saxon poets believed that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When coupled with the monarchies lifestyles of lavish spending on countless mistresses, flouting morals, excessive parties at court, and political favors, the popularity of royalty was quickly disintegrating. The irresponsibility of the aristocracy was no longer ignored, and a movement was beginning. This set the stage for political change. It was during this Age of Enlightenment that the Neoclassical era in art history began by reflecting these changing views using a style much less ornate and gilded than the Baroque and Rococo styles that had previously dominated artistic endeavors. Strict adherence to simple classical style with an aim to technical perfection was favored and borrowed heavily from Greek and Roman pieces discovered earlier in the 1700s.
