Argumentative Essay On Tupac Death
Tupac Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 until 25 years ago had disappeared from his fans, and
family members. Tupac Shakur was also known as 2Pac, selling over 75 million records
worldwide, also bestselling, and influential rappers of all times. On September 7, 1996, Shakur
was fatally shot in drive by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to Southern Nevada
hospital where he passed six days later. According to the coroner s report, Shakur was 6 feet and
weighed 215 pounds, but he actually was 5.10 and weighted 165 pounds. Many say no one really
saw Tupac in the hospital at all, so there was no autopsy. Legally an autopsy is required to be taken
right after death has occurred. Multiple stories upon Tupac s disappearance has cause many in
confusion and disappointment. Many confusion had lead that Tupac was rushed to the hospital by
an ambulance. Also, during an interview Suge Knight states that he took Tupac to the hospital
himself rather than anyone else. Lastly, an unknown lady who was interviewed on the news had
told the reporter that she had saw Tupac going to a helicopter. There has been multiple theories that
he be alive and living a secret living, which now police may have him in witness protection.... Show

Many put hidden messages in songs, when you slowly listen to them the hidden message
appears. At one point Tupac himself insisted of taking your time when listening to his song, and
once said Yes I m alive and me missing you. On the other hand Jay Z and Kanye West were
questioned by a governmental group about a song they had recorded including a secret message
stating that they have killed Tupac. As we know that is just another murder confession that just
throws off the whole case. In addition Suge has added that Tupac is still living, and that s why
there has been no arrest for Tupac murder. Uncertain of how serious he was he also stated he is on

The Human Skeleton Book Report
This semester has been by far the most challenging one I had so far. Although I faced many
challenges, the learning experience made it enjoyable. We have seen so far about 12 chapters and
by the end of the semester, we would have cover 16 chapters. Although all chapters were very
educational, chapters seven and eight were the most interesting to me. The human skeletonhas about
206 major bones; it is divided into two parts, the axial skeleton which forms the longitudinal or
central core and the appendicular skeleton, which forms the limbs and the bones that connect them
to the body. Chapter seven educated us about the axial skeleton. According to our textbook, the
axial skeleton has 80 bones. Our book divided these 80 bones into, the skull, which is subdivided
into 18 cranial bones and 14 facial bones; bones associated with the skull, which are 6 auditory
ossicles and the hyoid bone; the vertebral column subdivided into 24 vertebrae, the sacrum and the
coccyx and the thoracic cage, which are 24... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The skull has several bones that have air filled chambers called cavities (207). These sinuses are
located in four different bones and these bones constitute the paranasal sinuses. The paranasal
sinuses consist of: the frontal sinus, spenoidal sinus, ethmoid air cells and maxillary sinus (224).
Another interesting bone that is part of the skull, but more specifically the cranium, is the spenoid
bone. Because this bone articulates with all the other cranial bones, it is also known as keystone of
the cranial floor. On the spenoid bone we find the sella turcica, and within the sella turcica, it s
found the hypophyseal fossa, which has the pituitary gland (217). The pituitary gland produces
hormones like the growth hormone. Other cranial bones are: the frontal bone, parietal bones,
temporal bones, occipital bone and the ethmoid

Effects Of Chemistry On The Environment
There is no doubt that our knowledge of science and scientific procedures have changed over time.
As new tools and technologies that appeared during the 20th century, chemistry, physics, biology,
and other sciences were able to grow and develop at a faster pace. These advances in science have
helped humanity by increasing living standards and have brought more widespread wellness to
society. For instance, because of the existence of chemistry, society has been provided with more
advanced medicine, fabrics for clothes, plastics, rubber, componds of personal care products, parts
of cars, home appliances, computers and more. Society has benefited from chemistry; however, our
environment is harmed by the consequences of chemistry as well. Many chemicals are used to
improve the quality of our lives, and most are not harmful to the environment or human health.
However, some chemicals have the potential to cause harm... (Government of Canada, 2011).
The consequence of these modern innovations is that the chemical industry has had extremely
harmful consequences on the environment. The emissions of greenhouse gases and the greenhouse
effect, water pollution, the decrease of biodiversity and the impact on human health are consistent
and growing effects of the chemical industry and its activities. When chemicals are manufactured,
consumed or thrown away, they are able to infiltrate not just the water cycle but also the air and
even the ground soil. Depending on the number of polluting

Anorexia Nervos A Psychological, Familial And...
Anorexia nervosa results from a complex interplay between biological, psychological, familial
and sociocultural factors. Alice s development of anorexia nervosa can be viewed through a
psychoanalytic lens. Many of Alice s needs were not met or interpreted correctly in early
childhood by her parents, particularly her mother causing Alice to develop ego deficiencies in
identity and need for control. This thought is supported by Hilde Bruch (1974) who regarded
anorectics as being in a struggle for control and their own identity the pursuit of thinness was seen

Speech On Fashion Designer Handbags
Selecting Fashion Designer Handbags To Enhance Your Beauty
When you have a vital arrangement, how would you finish your outfit? Possibly with a fine
arrangement of gems? A couple of designer shoes? What about a bag? Obviously, no lady of
fashion will ever go out without a bag or purse to contain some of her own assets. There is a
purse to run with any outfit that a lady may wear. A purse is, by a wide margin, the handiest frill
at any point used by ladies without leaving fashion. Truly, fashion designer handbags really exist
to serve distinctive capacities for ladies. Regardless of whether the issue is a straightforward day
time event, formal night party, or whatever other easygoing issue, there is the sort of bag that will

Some come inexpensively labeled while others are to a great degree costly. However, what is
this fever over stylish designer handbags? Why are ladies of any age going gaga over these
things? They have captivated ladies of all kinds of different backgrounds, and a considerable lot of
these ladies don t scrutinize the cost. Unquestionably, there couldn t be a distinction so critical that
it would legitimize spending such a great amount on such a thing!
Designer handbags are, in truth, the same as whatever other sort of tote. Costly or not, they are
altogether made essentially to hold a lady s belonging, for example, her driving permit, lipstick,
cosmetics, cash, and so on.
The truth is that a designer name has an inseparable tie to the fever over designer handbags.
Carrying a designer tote around is to a great degree fulfilling for a few ladies; it makes them feel
that they have entered the universe of designer fashion. Designer names are a wellspring of pride
for some ladies since they realize that their bag was fashioned by some scandalous fashion designer
who has the nerve to tag the pack with a madly high sticker

globalized world. It is very important to have large deposit of words. O Connor explained why
large vocabularies characterize executives and possibly outstanding men and women in other fields.

This theory states that Human cognition is unique in that it has become specialized for dealing
simultaneously with language and with non verbal objects and events. Moreover, the language
system is peculiar in that deals directly with linguistic input and output (in the form of speech or
writing) while at the same time serving a symbolic function with respect to non verbal objects,
events, and behaviors. Any representational theory must accommodate this dual functionality. Dual
coding theory complements a dual route theory of reading. When people read written information,
dual route theory contends that the readers access orthographic and phonological information to
recognize words in the writing. The theory assumes that there are two cognitive subsystems, one
specialized for the representation and processing of non verbal objects/events (i.e. imagery), and
the other specialized for dealing with language. Dual coding theory identified three types of
processing: (1) representational, the direct activation of verbal or non verbal representations. (2)
referential, the activation of the verbal system by the non verbal system or vice versa and (3)
associative processing, the activation of representations within the same verbal or non verbal
system. A given task may require any or all of the three kinds of processing. Formalization of the
theory of dual coding is

Wingding Conspiracy Theory Essay
There are many crazy and wacky conspiracy theories that are contrived every day. Conspiracy
theories can be made up by anyone, especially in today s technology driven society. It all
becomes questionable when proof is bought into the matter. Although they are not always true,
people will go out of their way to think up silly things that may prove it correct. There are loads
of theories that are proven to be false. Carefully dissecting each detail within the theory is the only
way to be for sure whether it is true or false. Among all of the interesting conspiracy theories, are
the sinister messages found in the Wingdingsfont. When NYC is typed in the Wingdings font in

This point is easily proven true. For example, if someone types the word OLD in all capital
letters in Wingdings font, a flag, a sad face, and a thumbs down hand gesture will appear. There
are endless amounts of things you could say this stands for. One being, flags are bad and they
make you sad. It doesn t make a lot of sense that the creators of the Wingdings font would take
the time to make the letters O, L, and D, when put together, give that message about flags.
Another example that contradicts Microsoft s supposed hatred toward Jewish people is the
word HAPPY. Again, if HAPPY is typed in capital letters in Wingdings font, a finger pointing
down, a peace sign, two flags and the Star of Davis will appear. This word has no inside
meaning, and if anything, proves that the creators are not against Jews because the word happy
is a positive, and cheerful one. Many people also have concern about the characters Q 3 3 N Y
when typed in the Wingdings font. A plane, two tower looking objects, a skull and cross bones,
and a Star of David will appear if Q33NY is typed in the font. Q33NY is said to be the flight
number or tail number of one of the planes that crashed into the twin towers. According to

This theory is easily shown to have no validity as none of the aircraft used on that day bore the

Homeschool Is Not School At Home
Homeschool First time I heard about homeschooling, I had tons of question about it. I was
wondering. What are some requirement that parents have go through to be able to teach their

and how they manage their schedule? What are some approach that parents use to teach? However,

The Death Of The British War
Catherine King Am Lit 1 October 2014 Before America had separated from the British, the colonies
suffered under a long despotic rule under the British crown. But, as many realize, it is difficult to
stray from what one knows. People were reluctant to separate from the British. They were scared
that their small section of land in North America wouldn t flourish without help from the British,
and for this reason, they did nothing when the British inflicted upon them a number of injustices,
despite them knowing that what was happening was wrong. Other simply didn t care. They weren t

In Common Sense, Paine uses powerful language to evoke an emotional response from his
readers. In the beginning of his piece, he utilizes powerful language that does not include
personal connections, to simply get the reader thinking. He refrains from using personal
examples in the beginning, because he would come off as a radical. Instead he works to evoke
just a more logic based emotional response. The purpose of keeping the language less personal
but still powerful in the beginning, is to show to the people that is not just another radical who
wants independence simply because. He wants to present himself as a level minded and educated
writer who cares for the well being of the nation. Some examples of the powerful language include
sentences like, As a long and violent abuse of power, is generally the Means of calling the right of

Double Indemnity by Billy Wilder
Billy Wilder s Double Indemnity is one of the best representatives of the film noir era in
Hollywood as it contains all the main characteristics of the genre. The general darkness present
throughout the movie is embodied in the plot which reveals the moral bankruptcy of the main
characters. It is also present in the mise en scene choices such as the dark costumes and modest
lighting with the great emphasis on shadows. The main characters voice over, another important film
noircharacteristic, brings this darkness to life and communicates it to the audience with brutal
honesty. One of the scenes of the film which contains all of these features is the one where the two
main characters, Neff and Phyllis, meet for the first time. This scene will be analysed with respect
to the main film noir elements and techniques that were used in the making of it.
This scene introduces the femme fatale character Phyllis Dietrichson and starts a relationship
between her and Neff a relationship which sets out the plot for rest of the film. The scene focuses
on Phyllis use of sexual appeal to gain control over Neff and try to use him to fulfil her twisted of
murdering her husband. Wilder uses several filming elements characteristic to film noir in the scene
in order to display the nature of Neff and Phyllis relationship from the very moment they met.
The scene starts with a bright shot set outdoors as Neff is heading to Mr. Dietrichson s house a shot
uncharacteristic to film noir

Comparing God And Speed Limit
I believe God does everything for a reason. He makes laws so people can follow them, he doesn t

they might would follow them.
If you don t know what a speed limit is, it is the little signs on the side of the road that have a
certain number on them that you can t go over. The speed limit is usually about 45 mph. My
opinion is that God put speed limits to watch over people, in other words to keep people safe. I can

Religious Experience As An Argument For The Existence Of God
Key Concepts of Religious Experience as an Argument for the Existence of God
The argument is of an a posterioi nature, therefore it is inductive. This means the argument uses
data and evidence from which conclusions are drawn. The argument of experience must involve a
sense of encounter, the experience of the encounter therefore has been seen, felt and sensed and
therefore making the experience exist to us (Hume). These experiences seem to be widespread
throughout society and therefore can be claimed to be a normal occurrence. David Hay in his book
The Spiritual Experience of the British in 1979 his findings are counter intuitive, his findings show
that roughly 50% of the sample reported having ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The religious experiences have to be interpreted, this gives the possibility that interpretations will be
different and that these interpretations will be personal. The interpretations result in the reliability
of the experiences to be questioned, also it can be argued that the experience is just an
interpretation, and that this interpretation can change. We could argue that some people are
justified in interpreting their experiences religiously whilst others are justified in presenting
alternative explanations for the same phenomenon. Another problem is that we know our senses
can be deceived, for example Optical Illusions, this implies that perhaps religious experiences are
just illusions. There are 2 possible outcomes, one is that the interpretation is of Reality I think
therefore I am (Descartes) or it is of an opposite nature When a man tells me God has spoken to him
in a dream... it is no more than to say he dreamed God spoke to him .
Richard Swinburne s principle of Credulity and Testimony, help to support peoples interpretations
of experiences by stating that people who make such claims have a right to be taken seriously. If a
recipient of such an experience is normally a person who is sincere and trustworthy, the likelihood
is that their testimony has strong credibility. Religious experiences are rational proof of a belief in
religion/God s existence.

There were many cases like these that inevitably made the problem of not knowing how to find
longitude into an all out panic to solve it. Shipwreck after shipwreck, it became hard to ignore the
issue at hand, so Parliament took action. In 1714, after countless merchants and seamen demanded
help to find a solution Queen Anne put into action the Longitude Act, which was accompanied by
three sets of money prizes. The first prize was in the amount of ВЈ20,000 and you had to come
close to at least a half of a degree of a great circle. The second prize was in the amount of ВЈ15,000
and you had to be in two thirds of a degree, and finally, the third prize was ВЈ10,000 and that had to

proposed and explained were accurate, they created a Board of Longitude. The Board of
Longitude was made up of many people like scientists, naval officers, and government officials
but there were also ex officio members on the board as well. The board was given the ability to

Examining Psychology
Time In The Mind: Examining Psychology Psychology is as ancient as mankind. The concept of
psychology has been dated back to 600 B.C. Early Greek philosophers examined, theorized human
traits and their actions; their studies are now to be considered and known as psychology. Mankind
has molded psychology throughout decades into what it is today the study of the human mind and
the way it affects one s behavior. Psychotherapy and ESP, extrasensory perception, are techniques
that are used to improve human health and well being and their efficacy is widely debated.
PSYCHOTHERAPY Psychotherapy is the treatment of mental or emotional illness by talking about
problems rather than by using medicine or drugs (Merriam Webster), thus aiding one s illness(es)

psychologists from Northern University, John Vessey, and Kenneth Howard reported, those likely

Tecumsehs confederation Essay
Tecumseh was a very significant Native American who gave his life for what he believed. He knew
that the Americans were a tremendous threat to all Indian tribes, and realized that the Indians
would be destroyed one by one if not united. Tecumseh created a confederation of thirty two tribes
in hopes that the Americans would recognize their borders and thus put a halt to westward
expansion. His confederationmay have succeeded if it were not for the mistakes made by his
brother, Laulewasika, the Americans violent actions towards the Indian tribes, and the unwillingness
of the different tribes to cooperate.
Tecumseh was born in March of 1768. His real name was Tecumtha, which meant quot;panther

Tecumseh fell in love Rebecca and soon asked her to marry him. She told him she would if he
would give up his Indian heritage and come live with her as an American (Blodgett). Tecumseh
took a month to make up his mind and finally decided that he could not abandon his people. It
broke his heart, but he told her that he could not marry her and they went their separate ways
(Patriot 147).
Tecumseh s childhood greatly influenced how he acted as an adult. He knew that the Americans
had to be stopped but he did not want to fight them. When fighting was the only choice, he had a
reputation for his mercy. He despised the torture of prisoners and other cruel actions done by both
sides during warfare. He was an honest man, and was trusted by both the Americans and Indians
(Dictionary 1125).
Tecumseh felt that the Americans were weakening his people by introducing them to liquor and
by over hunting the animals in order to attain their furs (Blodgett). They were also a huge threat
to the Indians because they were constantly taking more and more land away from single tribes.
The Americans would seek out small, weak tribes and offer them money and goods for land which
was not even theirs. The tribes all shared the land, and Tecumseh felt that no one chief could sell
away the land (Blodgett). He believed that by creating a confederation of all the Indian tribes,
equaling the American states, the government would be forced to recognize them as a united body

Book Banning
Think back to when you were in high school, do you remember that one book you read that
really opened your eyes? Well the sad reality is that somewhere in the world that favorite book
you read is either banned or challenged in a library. So it sits locked away never to open the eyes
of another or help educate them further on its contents. Books should not be banned in libraries. We
have the freedom of speech, so why take away or censor our freedom to simply read and consume
literature? There are usually two ludicrous reasons as to why books are banned or challenged, one
of them is that someone gets offended by its contents. I see in many cases that a very religious
person gets outraged by homosexuality in books, and sadly enough that is one of the leading
causes of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some religions do not like talk of magic or sorcery in fiction books, but that does not mean they
should ruin it for everyone else. The second and most common cause of book banning is a
parent gets upset that their child is reading a book that may contain some more mature scenes. I
understand that some parents may want to protect their children from the more mature content,
but by no means should you ban the book. Someone older and more mature may find this book
enlightening! A great example of this is a parent in Wallingford, Connecticut who filed a
complaint against Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and took matters so far to
have the book banned. The parent complained about the book s depiction of homosexuality, sex,
and a glorification of alcohol use and drugs, according to the local news paper. Perks of being a
wallflower is about a boy suffering heavily from post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD and
depression. The book takes readers through a roller coaster of emotions, but

Violence, Foolishness, And Impulsiveness In The Knight s Tale
The Knight s Tale is one of many tales from the Canterbury Tales. This story sets in the city of
Athens. Which opens into the theme of violence, foolishness, impetuousness, and impulsiveness;
initially exceedingly emotional responses. One example is when two of our main characters,
Palmon and Arcite, both fall in love with Theseus s sister in law (Emelye). These two blood
brothers, leave each other after seeing Emelye out of the window of the tower. Which, I believe is
a very impulsive decision, for they have not got time to know who she is and her personality. Also,
they act like mortal enemies after just seeing her, so this thoughtprocess was completely impulsive
and based on her looks. And later, Arcite tries to get to know her better after he was released
from his imprisonment sentence by disguising himself, so he can take a job as a page in Emelye
s chamber. I believe this shows that he wants to know her, but also it shows he is not being
honest with her, which shows he was being impulsive and deceiving. He only learned about the
little things that she liked, not her personality. Emelye learned a little bit about Arcite after the
little conversing they shared, so they learned a little of each other s personality. This shows that
the friendship was growing and not an intimate relationship, like Arcite wanted. So the story
goes on and both Palmon and Arcite have been released from prison. And they happen to both
decide to wander in the woods. Then they confront each other, each claiming the right to
Emelye. The next day, they were brutally hacking away at each other. Honestly, I believe they
are being impulsive and violent, they still barely knew Emelye (especially Palmon), and they
decide to go kill each other. Then here shows up Theseus, which a loving and wise duke, but he
can also be a little impulse when it comes to violence (which is fairly normal for a duke in the
1390s). Theseus tries to be loving when he sees the two men fighting, but he changes his mindwhen
he found out it was Palmon and Arcite fighting. And that they were fighting because they love
Emelye. Then Theseus was about to respond by killing them, but his loving wife and Emelye
intervened, pleading for their lives. They pleaded

Trials and The Second Red Scare, which happened from 1947 through 1957. The Salem Witch
Trials occurred from February 1692 to March 1632, a full year of prosecutions and hearings

In the past quarter century, the world has seen a large uptick in the adoption of free market
policies as a part of countries governments. Rolling back regulations as a way to strengthen the
force of the market. The emergence of free market policies in the last quarter of the century has
led to several advancements in the living standards, economic growth, and access to education for
the citizens of the world. Yet despite the global progress there still seems to be a large disparity in

The two authors argue the main issue that India is continuing to face are due to the lack of
concern for citizens especially for the poor citizens and women. Dreze and Sen proceed into
their work as they continue to portray the way in which the citizens of India were being
oppressed by the new economic and political policies. One of the issues Dreze and Sen use as an
example of how India rapid economic growth is problematic is the countries lack to foster
participation for economic growth. The lack of inclusion in economic growth leads to a wealth
disparity between the citizens. The authors continue on depicting several other issues another one
being the lack of enhancement to the standard of living despite generating economic growth from
the use of public goods. The standards of living are a huge issue with India as it signals there is a
large disparity within wealth. Dreze and Sen continue to document the lack of social and living
standards especially in the case of education, medical care, and physical services like clean water,
electricity, drainage, and sanitation. The authors proceed to make note how without a development
of a social structure within India high economic growth can harm the citizens and ultimately neglect
civil, political, and social rights. Dreze and Sen then

How Does Dumas Deserve The Count Of Monte Cristo
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas that centers around the wrongly convicted
Edmond Dantes and how he takes revenge on those who convicted him while also rewarding
those who took care of his father while he was imprisoned. Despite being poorly reviewed by
scholars, this novel is still popular with the general public and is considered to be Dumas
masterpiece. After reading this novel, it is obvious that it does deserve the title of masterpiece .
Dumas work is absolutely genius in The Count of Monte Cristo, however the book itself is not

Saintsbury states that there is no attempt at an impression of growing horror culminating in the
horrible death of Madame de Villefort and her child. The interest is frittered away in endless
details and episodes (Saintsbury 1). I agree that Dumas was far too generous in his descriptions
and often times these descriptions eliminated all sort of mystery or suspense in certain events. In
fact, many of the events that were supposed to be suspenseful were drowned out by massive
amounts of words to describe one scene. The depiction of Villefort s apartment was written as, in
order to call Edouard, he had to awaken the echoes of that apartment transformed into a coffin; to
speak was to violate the silence of the tomb (Dumas 483). the description of the apartment does
provide a sense of creepiness, but the sheer circumlocution takes away from the overall feeling of
terror and suspense. However, even without suspense, the novel still maintained my interest as vivid
images of the scenes were still available rather than being replaced with something vague.
Saintsbury suggests that the dangerous method of introducing long recitals by various characters in
order to help on the movement and join the intrigue is unscrupulously resorted to [in the novel]
(Saintsbury 1). The perfect example is when Andrea says, you, my good man, are my stepfather.
But I don t think it was you who provided me with a hundred thousand

Adolf Hitler, and his Nazi Party that followed him, began persecuting Jews in 1933. Adolf Hitler,

the Jew s rights were applied. Next, their valuables were taken from their possession, and then
the innocent people were forced into cramped ghettos lined with barbwire. According to Sally

totally consumed by fire . (1) Living up to its definition, during the Holocaust many Jews were
burned in the fiery mouths of the crematoriums. The impact of the segregational laws as well as
being forced into ghettos were only the beginning of the inhumane crimes the Jews were
subjected to during the Holocaust. Concentration camps were horrible places filled with

Caribbean is a Strategic Transit Zone
By virtue of its proximity to producers in South America and strong trade links with North and
Europe, the Caribbean is a strategic transit zone, a hot spot accounting for an estimated 25 30% of
cocaine reaching Europe (IFS, 2012). Its deteriorating economy capitalizes on this trade with
pervasive drugfuelled corruption, notoriously by governmental agencies, especially law

institutional capacity has plunged into decay. The Substance Abuse Advisory Council Secretariat,

The Bicameral System In The Australian Government System
The Australian government system has been originally created in 1901 through the Constitution.
With the fundamentals carved in the Constitution, the Australian System is often referred to as a
Washminster System as it is a hybrid of the Washington (US) and Westminster (UK) system of
government. With the fusion of North America and the United Kingdom s government systems, the
phenomenon of the bicameral system was implemented in the Australian system. Bicameralisms
origins are from England and it was later established in the United States. Hence, the onset of the
Australian system s structures was anglocentric by reflecting the foundations and concepts of
England. However, the concept of bicameralism is known to have existed since medieval times and
has since been in the chronical of the Western political progress for centuries. Bicameralism is an
important system in the Australian government. It refers to a government which consists of two
chambers, or houses. Alike North America, the houses are known as the House of Representatives
(the lower house) and the Senate(the upper house). On the other hand, in the United Kingdom, the
chambers are known as the House of Commons (the lower house) and the House of Lords (the
upper house). In 1789, North America altered their constitution in order to ratify how the American
citizens were represented. Through bicameralism, the House of Representative would represent the

Dracula was the first classic Horror film in the 1930 s, which contained sound. It received
financial success as well as negative responses from critics. They saw these types of movies and

Immigration Pull Factors
The West during the 1800 was seen as a better place for a future, the American dream. People
migrated because of push and pull factors. Push factors cause people to leave home and can
include war, no freedom of religion, danger, few job or education opportunities. While pull factors
draw people to a new country because it is the opposite of what is occurring back home, what they
seek. Immigrants are often motivated by both factors. Beginning in the late 1800s, more than 30
million Europeans came to America to escape from push factors and were attracted to the freedom
America granted and job opportunities. Push factors that caused the immigration was the poverty
they had to face, loss of land, unemployment, and persecution based on one s

Government Of Guatemala Research Paper
The Government of Guatemala
Guatemala has a government just like ours. A constitutional democracy is where there is a head
of the country, the president, who will work with the three branches of government the Judicial
branch the branch who carries out the laws. The Legislative branch makes the laws, and the
Executive branch enforces the laws. When the legislative branch passes a bill it has to pass
through the house and senate and then goes to the president who makes it into a law or he can
veto it so it doesn t become a law.
Just like our government the president is in control of the army so he enforces the laws. If
someone breaks the laws they can sometimes go to the Supreme Court where they decide his or her
fate.

The government of Guatemala is exactly like ours but you can only serve four years. It is

The Pros And Cons Of Technology And Science
Inventions and Discoveries
Human lifestyle has recently changed through the inventions and discovery of new technology
and science. Technology and science are closely related hence, the technology uses science to
answer problems, while science uses technology to come up with new discoveries. However,
technology and science target different objectives. The objective of science is to provide an
answer to the critical questions, thus help to increase knowledge while the goal of technology is
to find answers to real problems. Even though they have a different objective, they, however, work
together to facilitate each other to grow. The knowledge posed from science led to the creation of
technology like telescope while the telescope technology led to a microscope that allows
researchers to discover nature in a new era.
According to an article by Rice University, a telescope is one of the dominant instruments of what
has been referred to as the Scientific Revolution. However, according to the article, they believe
that telescope was not the invention of scientists but the product of craftsmen. Rice University
argue that glass were cheap, hence the technology for crushing and polishing glasses had
development extensively allover (Rice University). Hence, the development led to a solution for a
condition known as presbyopia. This condition majorly faced the aging where they were unable to
read letters held at a relaxed distance from the eye (Rice University). This led to the

A Report On Micro Farming
The last four week our group has been tasked with looking into and researching micro farming in
a small enclosed area of a greenhouse in mills wyoming we had four weeks to research and build a
prototype of a micro farm with the dimensions 2 x 2 or 24in x 24in by however tall we would
like to make we can not use sprouted plants we have to start with seeds. We had a set budget of
xxxx. Our goal was to grow as many food calorie wise from september to december but we could
not modify the farm after a certain date other than like watering or other basic maintenance. In

Which also used for energy in the plant to grow Continuing i will be talking about the carbon cycle.
Now the carbon cycle. The carbon cycle starts with carbon atoms being absorbed in the water
soil or living things (ex plants animals etc.). It then when the said thing is burned or
decomposed the carbon is released back to be reabsorbed. Or when a living creature it pulls in
o2 with C and then when it exhales it creates Co2 which then is absorbed in plants to create
glucose in the process refer to image above. But when trees and stuff are burned or animals are
caught in fires it releases C or carbon. back into the Atmosphere where it is restarted.
Next is the oxygen cycle. Where oxygen is taken and turned by animals into co2 plants then take
it and turn it into o2 where it is released where is is either absorbed by the atmosphere where it will
stay for 4500 years or turn into o3 ozone, the biosphere where it will stay for 50 years ,the
lithosphere where it will stay for 500,000,000 years, and last the hydrosphere. after it is released
it will cycle again and find a new place to populate. oxygen is used in plants in the form of co2 and
h2o to form the photosynthesis equation to create energy. Which it then uses to grow while
outputting o2 or oxygen makes up 20% of our atmosphere. Next i will be covering the nitrogen
cycle
The nitrogen cycle starts with atmospheric nitrogen. Where it then gets absorbed into the soil.

Atlantic Transformations
The Earth has undergone a series of physical transformations throughout its history, and every
transformation changes the way things such as water currents, heat circulation, and climate
manifest. Twenty million years ago, the Atlantic and Pacific oceans flowed freely between North
and South America because there was no land barrier between them, which meant that the salinity
of the oceans were similar. This meant that warm water vapor wasn t being carried up to the North
Atlantic, like happens today. When the pacific plate was pushed under the Caribbean plate
volcanoes, islands, and eventually the body of land that connects North and South America formed.
This caused the currents of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to go towards the north,

Essay on Vision of Heaven in the Poetry of Dickinson
Vision of Heaven in the Poetry of Dickinson
Emily Dickinson never became a member of the church although she lived in a typical New
England Puritan community all her life. The well known lines, Some keep the Sabbath going to
church / I keep it staying at Home (P 236 [B]; J 324),1 suggest her defiance against the existing
church and Christianity of her time in particular. And her manner of calling the Deity by such
terms as Burglar, Banker (P 39; J 49), and a jealous God (P 1752; J 1719) clearly discloses her
antagonism against the Christian God. In fact, she insistently rejected being baptized even when
her family members and intimate friends at Mount Holyoke Female Seminary had chosen to bow in

And Dickinson herself knew the answer was to be found in the Bible, as she answered, For Prose
Mr Ruskin Sir Thomas Browne and the Revelations (L 261)2 when asked by Thomas W.
Higginson what her favorite books were. Of course, there were many other prose writings which
she could have mentioned, but she dared to select these three as the sources of her inspiration.
Needless to say, the three were exclusively special for her. Therefore, by referring to the picture of
heaven in the Book of Revelation, I will consider how Dickinson s poetry delineates one of the most
important and sometimes enigmatic Christian doctrines, the idea of heaven.
The following poem furnishes us with appropriate materials for discussion:
I went to Heaven
Twas a small Town
Lit with a Ruby
Lathed with Down
Stiller than the fields
At the full Dew
Beautiful as Pictures
No Man drew
People like the Moth
Of Mechlin frames
Duties of Gossamer
And Eider names
Almost contented
I could be
Mong such unique
Society (P 577 [B]; J 374)
Written in about 1862, one of the anni mirabiles (most productive years) of Dickinson s life, this
poem portrays a really mirabile visu spectacle of the heavenly kingdom in earthly images as John
sees heaven in terms of earthly

The Fault In Our Stars Theme Essay
Having a family to rely on and be supported by is said to be the most important thing to have in
life. No matter where you go, you should have loving family members who will support and help
you without question, if they are ever needed to. In the novel, The Fault in our Stars, the theme of
having loved ones and being close to familymembers is heavily leaned on through the actions of
illnesses and loss. The novel shows the theme through the actions of Hazel, Augustus, and their
parents. As expected, each character has their own style of expressing their emotions, feelings, and
thoughts in their dark times.
Firstly, within the novel, it is clear that Hazel is a caring person and is fully aware of what her
body s condition does to her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hazel is demonstrating that she really wants her mom to have fun during their trip instead of
wasting this opportunity because of her. Her mom, however, appears to be secretly worried. Her
parents should be, but simply saying what Hazel would want to hear to have her ease on her plans.
It is clear by now that Hazel feels some kind of guilt for something she cannot control, her body,
and would do or say anything to make her parents lives easier.
Secondly, through the perspective of another character, Augustus has his own way of taking care of
his family and loved ones in his amount of depleting time. Like Hazel, Augustus feels the need to
make the important people in his life better when times are gloomy. Quote, I m hopeful I ll get
to attend as a ghost, but just to make sure, I thought I d well, not to put you on the spot, but I just
this afternoon though I could arrange a prefuneral, and I figured since I m in reasonably good
spirits, there s no time like the present. (257). Spoken by Augustus to Hazel, this request by
Augustus can be broken down to him simply understanding and accepting he does not have
much time left. He wants to let everyone he cares about to know what he has left to say and for
everyone to say their last words to him, saying their goodbyes, and ensuring them that he does
hear what they all have left to say. He also keeps his happy mood because he knows if he can
remain positive, it would

Rhetorical Analysis Of Gregory Crewdson s Natural Wonder
Gregory Crewdson s untitled photograph from the series Natural Wonder presents an eerie close
up of a scene taking place in the woods. The attention of the audience is brought to a small fox
who lies on its back, dead. Surrounding the fox are an abundance of overgrown grape vines.
Perched atop the fox are three birds who stare questioningly at the site around them. Behind the
copious amount of leaves and grapes is a somewhat cheerful looking, whitebackground containing
buildings and smoke, a noticeable difference from the forest scene which is more apparent to the
audience. Through his placement of objects, use of color, and change of scenery, Crewdson
expresses the negative effects of industrialization on wildlife. Crewdson uses placement of
objects by making the dead fox the central theme of this photograph to delve into the feelings of
the audience. Because foxes are animals with great knowledge of the woods, it would be unlikely
for them to suddenly die while in their natural habitat. This leads the audience to wonder what
might have happened to cause the fox s death which can be symbolized by the birds above the fox
who seem to be wondering the same thing. Although birds symbolize freedom, they are staying
behind to witness the destruction of the land around them. Crewdson also places the leaves and
overgrown grapevines of the photograph in an unorderly way. This shows that the forest is not
being taken care of causing the loss of this fox. The audience feels

The Engineer s High Privilege
Former US President and mining engineer Herbert Hoover summed up the engineering field as a
calling when he wrote, Engineering is a great profession. There is a fascination of watching a
figment of the imagination merge through the aid of science to a plan on paper. Then it moves to
realization in stone or metal or energy. Then it brings jobs and homes... Then it elevates the
standards of living and adds to the comforts of life. That is the engineer s high privilege. Although,
this interpretation from Hoover is a great representation to the definition of engineering, the highest
priority should stem from the glorification of God, the Creator. Utilizing such God given gifts and
transforming creation into an image of new, should be done to exemplify Him and give to the
greater good of society (Matthew 5:16, Jeremiah 29:7).
We are witnesses to great benefits to mankind stemming from contemporary engineering
development , according to the Bulletin of Engineers. They further cite that nuclear and space age
that we live in, encourage the vigorous progress of science. And human technologies are developing
very fast. Mechanization, automation and computerization of production processes have lessened
the hazards to human physical integrity, but in spite of that state the Engineers, man s psychic and
moral integrity in his working environment has been increasingly endangered. Modern technology
has a deep impact on humankind and all life on Earth. The decisions and actions of

the foot of the Martial Mountains, on the northern bank of the Beagle Channel. Taking into
account the preferences for new destinations away from the big urban centers and the geopolitical
conflicts as well as the need to get in touch with nature in places little altered by man, Ushuaia has
become an important point of attraction in recent years. Touristically Ushuaia is part of the
Patagonian corridor that includes Puerto Madryn and El Calafate. Of the total number of tourists
registered in Ushuaia in the 2003 2004 season, 77% of the visitors were foreigners and only 23%

Essay on Photosynthesis
Photosynthesis is a biochemical process in which plant, algae, and some bacteria harness the
energy of light to produce food. Nearly all living things depend on energy produced from
photosynthesis for their nourishment, making it vital to life on Earth. It is also responsible for
producing the oxygen that makes up a large portion of the EarthВЎВ¦s atmosphere. Factors that
affect photosynthesis are light intensity and wave length, carbon dioxideconcentration, and
temperature.
Plants are autotrophs that mean they are able to synthesize food directly from inorganic
compounds, instead of relying on other organisms. They use carbon dioxide gas and water to
produce sugars and oxygen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The surface of the leaf is uniformly coated with a water resistant waxy cuticle that protects the leaf
from excessive absorption of light and evaporation of water. The transparent, colourless epidermis
layer allows light to pass through to the mesophyll cells where most of the photosynthesis takes
place.
To metabolic pathways involved in photosynthesis are light reaction and dark reaction. The first
stage of the photosynthetic system is the light dependent reaction, which converts solar energy
into chemical energy. Light absorbed by chlorophyll or other photosynthetic pigments is used to
drive a transfer of electrons and hydrogen from water to and acceptor called NADP , reducing it
to the form of NADPH by adding a pair of electrons and a single proton. The water or some other
donor molecule is split in the process. The light reaction also generates ADP, a process called
photophosphorylation. ATP is a versatile source of chemical energy used in most biological
processes. The light reaction produces no carbohydrates such as sugars.
In photosynthesis, the dark reactions are chemical reactions that convert carbon dioxide and other
compounds into glucose. These reactions unlike light dependent reactions do not need light to
occur. These reactions take the products of the light dependent reactions and perform further
chemical processes on

The Final Solution Dbq Analysis
The dramatic impacts the Final Solution had negatively influenced Jewish men, women and
children. Jewish people were forced out of their homes and into ghettos, made to work at
concentration camps, dehumanised, barely given any food or medical care and sent to death camps
to be gassed to death. The Final Solution was the annihilation of Jewish people. It was torture for
them and significantly impacted their lives.
The first stage of the Final Solution was the process of moving Jewish people out of their homes

The provision of food in the ghettos was inadequate, causing many people to starve or become
harshly ill. Source One discusses experiences from life in the Lodz ghetto. It describes the way of
how it is hard to get bread; Jews are driven away from all the queues . This quote reveals that the
Jews were treated harshly and prevented from receiving food. The level of sanitation and
hygiene in the ghettos was appalling. Many Jewish men, women and children died from
starvation and diseases such as typhus and typhoid. These diseases were a result of the Final
Solution procedure and majorly impacted the lives, not only of the ones who died from them, but
their families too. Jewish people were also beaten and forced to work while living in the ghettos.
Source One talks about how they were seized, hauled off to labour, and beaten to a pulp. This quote
shows that the Jewish men, women and children were forced to do whatever the German officers
wanted of them and if they disobeyed, they were severely punished. Women in the ghettos were
often abused sexually. The German men would rape the Jewish women, and then generally kill
them with the unborn child inside. This shows that Jewish men, women and children had their

We have seen so far about 12 chapters and by the end of the semester, we would have cover 16 chapters. Although all chapters were very educational, chapters seven and eight were the most interesting to me. The human skeletonhas about 206 major bones; it is divided into two parts, the axial skeleton which forms the longitudinal or central core and the appendicular skeleton, which forms the limbs and the bones that connect them to the body. Chapter seven educated us about the axial skeleton. According to our textbook, the axial skeleton has 80 bones. Our book divided these 80 bones into, the skull, which is subdivided into 18 cranial bones and 14 facial bones; bones associated with the skull, which are 6 auditory ossicles and the hyoid bone; the vertebral column subdivided into 24 vertebrae, the sacrum and the coccyx and the thoracic cage, which are 24... Another interesting bone that is part of the skull, but more specifically the cranium, is the spenoid bone. Because this bone articulates with all the other cranial bones, it is also known as keystone of the cranial floor. On the spenoid bone we find the sella turcica, and within the sella turcica, it s found the hypophyseal fossa, which has the pituitary gland (217). This theory states that Human cognition is unique in that it has become specialized for dealing simultaneously with language and with non verbal objects and events. Moreover, the language system is peculiar in that deals directly with linguistic input and output (in the form of speech or writing) while at the same time serving a symbolic function with respect to non verbal objects, events, and behaviors. Any representational theory must accommodate this dual functionality. Dual coding theory complements a dual route theory of reading. When people read written information, dual route theory contends that the readers access orthographic and phonological information to recognize words in the writing. The theory assumes that there are two cognitive subsystems, one specialized for the representation and processing of non verbal objects/events (i.e. imagery), and the other specialized for dealing with language. Dual coding theory identified three types of processing: (1) representational, the direct activation of verbal or non verbal representations. (2) referential, the activation of the verbal system by the non verbal system or vice versa and (3) associative processing, the activation of representations within the same verbal or non verbal system. Carefully dissecting each detail within the theory is the only way to be for sure whether it is true or false. For example, if someone types the word OLD in all capital letters in Wingdings font, a flag, a sad face, and a thumbs down hand gesture will appear. There are endless amounts of things you could say this stands for. One being, flags are bad and they make you sad. It doesn t make a lot of sense that the creators of the Wingdings font would take the time to make the letters O, L, and D, when put together, give that message about flags. Another example that contradicts Microsoft s supposed hatred toward Jewish people is the word HAPPY. Again, if HAPPY is typed in capital letters in Wingdings font, a finger pointing down, a peace sign, two flags and the Star of Davis will appear. In the beginning of his piece, he utilizes powerful language that does not include personal connections, to simply get the reader thinking. He refrains from using personal examples in the beginning, because he would come off as a radical. Instead he works to evoke just a more logic based emotional response. The purpose of keeping the language less personal but still powerful in the beginning, is to show to the people that is not just another radical who wants independence simply because. • 15. Double Indemnity by Billy Wilder Billy Wilder s Double Indemnity is one of the best representatives of the film noir era in Hollywood as it contains all the main characteristics of the genre. The general darkness present throughout the movie is embodied in the plot which reveals the moral bankruptcy of the main characters. It is also present in the mise en scene choices such as the dark costumes and modest lighting with the great emphasis on shadows. The main characters voice over, another important film noircharacteristic, brings this darkness to life and communicates it to the audience with brutal honesty. One of the scenes of the film which contains all of these features is the one where the two main characters, Neff and Phyllis, meet for the first time. This scene will be analysed with respect to the main film noir elements and techniques that were used in the making of it. This scene introduces the femme fatale character Phyllis Dietrichson and starts a relationship between her and Neff a relationship which sets out the plot for rest of the film. Religious Experience As An Argument For The Existence Of God Key Concepts of Religious Experience as an Argument for the Existence of God The argument is of an a posterioi nature, therefore it is inductive. This means the argument uses data and evidence from which conclusions are drawn. The argument of experience must involve a sense of encounter, the experience of the encounter therefore has been seen, felt and sensed and therefore making the experience exist to us (Hume). These experiences seem to be widespread throughout society and therefore can be claimed to be a normal occurrence. Which opens into the theme of violence, foolishness, impetuousness, and impulsiveness; initially exceedingly emotional responses. One example is when two of our main characters, Palmon and Arcite, both fall in love with Theseus s sister in law (Emelye). These two blood brothers, leave each other after seeing Emelye out of the window of the tower. Which, I believe is a very impulsive decision, for they have not got time to know who she is and her personality. Also, they act like mortal enemies after just seeing her, so this thoughtprocess was completely impulsive and based on her looks. And later, Arcite tries to get to know her better after he was released from his imprisonment sentence by disguising himself, so he can take a job as a page in Emelye s chamber. I believe this shows that he wants to know her, but also it shows he is not being honest with her, which shows he was being impulsive and deceiving. He only learned about the little things that she liked, not her personality. Emelye learned a little bit about Arcite after the little conversing they shared, so they learned a little of each other s personality. This shows that the friendship was growing and not an intimate relationship, like Arcite wanted. So the story goes on and both Palmon and Arcite have been released from prison. And they happen to both decide to wander in the woods. Then they confront each other, each claiming the right to Emelye. The next day, they were brutally hacking away at each other. Honestly, I believe they are being impulsive and violent, they still barely knew Emelye (especially Palmon), and they decide to go kill each other. Then here shows up Theseus, which a loving and wise duke, but he can also be a little impulse when it comes to violence (which is fairly normal for a duke in the 1390s). Theseus tries to be loving when he sees the two men fighting, but he changes his mindwhen he found out it was Palmon and Arcite fighting. And that they were fighting because they love Emelye. How Does Dumas Deserve The Count Of Monte Cristo The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas that centers around the wrongly convicted Edmond Dantes and how he takes revenge on those who convicted him while also rewarding those who took care of his father while he was imprisoned. Despite being poorly reviewed by scholars, this novel is still popular with the general public and is considered to be Dumas masterpiece. After reading this novel, it is obvious that it does deserve the title of masterpiece . Dumas work is absolutely genius in The Count of Monte Cristo, however the book itself is not untouchable like the Count himself. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Saintsbury states that there is no attempt at an impression of growing horror culminating in the horrible death of Madame de Villefort and her child. The interest is frittered away in endless details and episodes (Saintsbury 1). I agree that Dumas was far too generous in his descriptions and often times these descriptions eliminated all sort of mystery or suspense in certain events. In fact, many of the events that were supposed to be suspenseful were drowned out by massive amounts of words to describe one scene. The depiction of Villefort s apartment was written as, in order to call Edouard, he had to awaken the echoes of that apartment transformed into a coffin; to speak was to violate the silence of the tomb (Dumas 483). the description of the apartment does provide a sense of creepiness, but the sheer circumlocution takes away from the overall feeling of terror and suspense. However, even without suspense, the novel still maintained my interest as vivid images of the scenes were still available rather than being replaced with something vague. Saintsbury suggests that the dangerous method of introducing long recitals by various characters in order to help on the movement and join the intrigue is unscrupulously resorted to [in the novel] (Saintsbury 1). First, laws that limited the Jew s rights were applied. Next, their valuables were taken from their possession, and then the innocent people were forced into cramped ghettos lined with barbwire. According to Sally Marks, the term holocaust is derived from the Greek language and literally means a sacrifice totally consumed by fire . The impact of the segregational laws as well as being forced into ghettos were only the beginning of the inhumane crimes the Jews were subjected to during the Holocaust. Concentration camps were horrible places filled with starvation, dangerous work, and death. After being taken out of the ghettos Jews were most often carted like caged animals to the camps. There, if not immediately sentenced to death during selection, the people were stripped of their identity and thrown into a situation no human deserves to be in. Or when a living creature it pulls in o2 with C and then when it exhales it creates Co2 which then is absorbed in plants to create glucose in the process refer to image above. But when trees and stuff are burned or animals are caught in fires it releases C or carbon. back into the Atmosphere where it is restarted. Next is the oxygen cycle. The attention of the audience is brought to a small fox who lies on its back, dead. Surrounding the fox are an abundance of overgrown grape vines. Perched atop the fox are three birds who stare questioningly at the site around them. Behind the copious amount of leaves and grapes is a somewhat cheerful looking, whitebackground containing buildings and smoke, a noticeable difference from the forest scene which is more apparent to the audience. Through his placement of objects, use of color, and change of scenery, Crewdson expresses the negative effects of industrialization on wildlife. Crewdson uses placement of objects by making the dead fox the central theme of this photograph to delve into the feelings of the audience. Because foxes are animals with great knowledge of the woods, it would be unlikely for them to suddenly die while in their natural habitat. This leads the audience to wonder what might have happened to cause the fox s death which can be symbolized by the birds above the fox who seem to be wondering the same thing. Although birds symbolize freedom, they are staying behind to witness the destruction of the land around them. Crewdson also places the leaves and overgrown grapevines of the photograph in an unorderly way. This shows that the forest is not being taken care of causing the loss of this fox.
