Essay Thesis Statement Generator
Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Thesis Statement Generator" presents a unique challenge
due to its meta-cognitive nature. The task involves not only discussing the concept itself but also
delving into the complexities of generating thesis statements, which is a fundamental skill in
essay writing.
Firstly, one needs to thoroughly understand the mechanics and significance of a thesis statement
in academic writing. This entails exploring its role in guiding the direction of the essay, its
relationship with the main argument, and its impact on the overall coherence and persuasiveness
of the piece.
Next, discussing the various approaches and techniques for generating effective thesis statements
becomes crucial. This involves examining different methods such as brainstorming, mind
mapping, or utilizing specific formulae, and evaluating their efficacy in different contexts.
Furthermore, exploring the challenges and nuances involved in crafting a strong thesis statement
adds another layer of complexity to the essay. Factors such as the scope of the topic, the target
audience, and the overall structure of the essay must be considered.
Moreover, discussing the role of thesis statement generators in aiding or hindering the writing
process requires a critical analysis of their utility and limitations. While these tools can provide
valuable assistance, they also run the risk of oversimplifying the task or generating generic
statements that lack depth and originality.
Additionally, addressing the broader implications of relying on such tools in academic writing,
including issues related to plagiarism and intellectual autonomy, necessitates a thoughtful
exploration of ethical considerations.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Thesis Statement Generator" demands a
comprehensive understanding of not only the concept itself but also its implications, challenges,
and ethical dimensions. It requires critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to articulate
complex ideas effectively.

Desertion By Karlowler
Transformation is a process when one changes into something else, something new.
People think that when they change themselves, they become better. Everyone wants
to feel special and unique, that is often why people go through conversions. But
sometimes the transformation can actually ruin someone s life. It can take away
normality or create a completely new being. Converting oneself can either be
beneficial or actually be detrimental to one s life. Is becoming a new self worth the
risks that come with it? Taking away the normality in life can be something that can
changeone s life to the worse. There will be constant discrimination and fear in a
society when there are different kinds of people. This leads to a harder life for those
people.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Changing life form changes one s perspective in life. But becoming something new
can make one leave human society, this can cause problems. In the story Desertion ,
Fowler is conducting research of Jupiter, to see whether humans can live there or
not. After Fowler sends out four men that never came back, after they were
converted to Jovian form, which is the only way humans can survive in Jupiter s
atmosphere, he converted himself and his dog as well. His dog, Towser, and him
went out of the domes and began to experience an immense amount of knowledge.
But instead he had found something greater than Man had ever known. A swifter,
surer body. A sense of exhilaration, a deeper sense of life. A sharper mind
(Desertion, p.125). Because of this though, Fowler and Towser become to
obsessed with their new life form, they don t want to change back to their original
forms. I can t go back, said Towser. Nor I, said Fowler. They would turn me back
into a dog, said Towser. And me, said Fowler, back into a man. (Desertion, p.126).
Their selfishness caused them to leave the people without the information that they
were sent to get. They practically abandon human life, which hurts the researchers
efforts; this prolongs the search of a new home when it is need. If they keep
converting humans into Jovian form, then all those people will leave human life
forever, and human life will be in danger when it comes a time to find a new planet
to live on. This shows that conversion that one may think is better, can actually have

An Exotic Forest By Henri Rousseau
Woman Walking in an Exotic Forest (1905), created by French artist, Henri Rousseau,
is a painting that depicts a woman positioned in the center foreground of the piece,
fashioned in lightly coloured attire of the early 20th century. A vibrant forest
surrounds the woman to make up the middle and background of the painting, and
consists of tall blue flowers, grasses, and trees that carry large orange fruit. Through
this specific content, and the stylistic elements of the piece, the painting comes to
illustrate the challenges and turmoil of the transition to Modernitythe quality or
condition of being modern (OED,1). This thematic component reveals itself through
the tension between the periods of Modernity and Classicism, as seen through the
central image of the woman, the painting s scale, and colour palette, along with, the
inclusion of Primitive elements in the style, and subject used. As such, this
methodology, in the form, and technique of the piece, communicates a larger
complexity. Where Modernity refers to the state of being modern, Classicism
contrasts this notion as a movement that attempts to harken back to aesthetics, and
themes of the classic eras, so as to root itself in the past (OED, 3). This piece
represents classical elements through the inclusion of the woman. For instance, the
woman poses in a structured manner with a hand on the hip much like the classic
positions reflected in ancient Greek, and Roman statues, to suggest a regiment of
tradition.
The British East India Company
The British East India Company was an English and later (from 1707) British joint
stock company formed for pursuing trade with the East Indies but which ended up
trading mainly with the Indian subcontinent.
The East India Company traded mainly in cotton, silk, indigo dye, salt, saltpetre, tea
and opium. Shares of the company were owned by wealthy merchants and
aristocrats. The government owned no shares and had only indirect control. The
Company eventually came to rule large areas of India with its own private army,
exercising military power and assuming administrative functions. Company rule in
India effectively began in 1757 after the Battle of Plassey and lasted until 1858

The Company continued to experience resistance from local rulers during its

Chapter 20 Summary ___________________________________________________
The chapter opens with a case Robert F. Kennedy High School depicting the many
problems facing David King, the new principal of a deeply troubled urban high school
. A school that opened with high hopes only a few years ago now finds itself mired in
conflict and dissatisfaction. King s first meeting with his new administrative staff

Chapter 20: Replay and Critique of David King s Reframing _______________
There is value in having students compare their own thinking about the RFK High
case with the reframing process depicted for David King in the chapter. One way to
do this is to ask students to read the case, stop there, and engage in their own effort
to reframe using the same questions David King used. (This can be done either
individually or in groups.) Once students have developed their own diagnoses, they
can read the remainder of the chapter and compare their thinking with David King s.
Another option appears in Exercise 20.1.
Chapter 20: Applying Reframing to Cases or Personal Experience_________
The chapter focuses on putting it all together: integrating everything learned about
organizations and leadership into more comprehensive and powerful understanding
and action. The reframing process illustrated in the chapter can be applied to almost
any case or experience: students personal cases, published cases, films or fiction, or
class experiences (role plays, experiential activities, team experiences, the course).
Instructors can, for example, have students study a challenging case (multiple
suggestions are offered elsewhere in this instructor s guide) and then, either
individually or in teams, reframe to develop both diagnoses and solutions.
Individuals or groups will differ in what they see and what
Blues Music Informative Speech
Wait stop! People need to know about blues music.Ecaspically my reader here you
go. Blues music is typically a music from New Orleans and Memphis and West
Africa but is made up by different type of countries from the elements from these
countries above. How people feel about blues is they feel overcoming hard luck,
saying what you feel, ridding yourself of frustration, letting your hair down, and
simply having fun saying what you want to say or feel through the music.
Blues musicians first example is W. C. Handy. Which was an African American
composer and a leader in blues music in the early 20th century. With songs like
Memphis Blues and St. Louis Blues. He wrote songs all through his life period of
time. Next B.B king was also another famous musician he was called the king of

Bessie smith was another good musician I call her the queen of blues. Bessie Smith
was born on April 15, 1894 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was one of seven
children. Her father, a Baptist minister, died soon after her birth, leaving her mother
to raise her and her siblings. Around 1906, her mother and two of her brothers died
and Smith and her remaining siblings were raised by their aunt. It was around this
time that Smith began to perform as a street singer, accompanied on the guitar by one
of her younger brothers. Then soon she started writing more music and was the one
of the best in that period of time. The background of blues music. Sometime around
1890, the blues emerged as the distinct African American art form, rooted in the
southern U.S. and drawing on work songs and hollers, folk tradition, black spirituals,
and the popular music of the time. Looking back from 1890, one can speculate about
the African influence in the musical structure of the blues

Andre Dubus s 1979 short story, Killings, was adapted into a film called In the
Bedroom directed by Todd Field in 2001. The film received five Academy Award
nominations, three Golden Globe nominations, and Field was named both
Screenwriter and Director of the year by the National Board of Review. The short
storyis about a father seeking vengeance for his son s death. Dubus use the literary
devices of conflict and character to illustrate the story. Todd Field s filmadaption uses
dialogue, sylbolism, and character to convey the intensity of the short story.
The structure of the two works are different, but the dialogue is relatively the same.
Killings begins with Matt and other family members of Frank gathered at his grave.

This can be thought of a symbol. Another symbol used is a wound on Matt s
finger, which he sustained while fishing for lobsters then puts a Band Aid on it,
and which he finds healed when he examines it after murdering Richard. This
scene was not in the short story, but it was significant in the film for the reason of
showing how easy it was for such a small wound to heal. Probably the most
significant symbol is during the same scene were Matt is wide awake, staring at
the ceiling. In this moment the camera angle shoots a medium close up of Matt s
face, it can be seen on his face expression that he is not relieved but yet sad and still
in disbelief of what he did. The smoke rising from Ruth s cigarette ashes, shows a
allusion to the camera the smoke is coming from Matt s chest. He thought killing
Richard would help heal his void of losing his son, instead it did not and now he has
to live with this burden for the rest of his life. In the light of the various symbolism
through the film, the literary device of characters explicitly convey the story s

Winning The Excellence Scholarship
For me, receiving the Excellence Scholarship is an opportunity that would allow me
to pursue the Bachelor s degree program at Г‰cole Polytechnique. Without the
scholarship, it would be financially difficult for my family to fund my education and
considering the fact that I intend to join academia, incurring a massive debt at this

people. Revenge is used in a variety of different ways. It can be used to, find
personal satisfaction, show dominance, or a way of keeping order. People seek
revenge for different reasons depending on their culture. However, most of the time
people motivated by power tend to be more vengeful. Revenge can often times be
confused with catharsis. An experiment conducted by Kevin Carlsmith, a social
psychologist, resulted in showing that revenge seems to be sweet and relieving, but
in the end it does not solve any problems and you end up feeling worse. Revenge has

MTV responded to the demands of their market which has helped them advance and
be in the position they are in today. Today, MTV posts networks in over 30 languages
in over 130 countries which points out its successfulness in catering for their
audience. MTV has succeeded in becoming an undeniable influence, not only in their
music but in popular culture as well. (MTV, 2013).
Popular culture can be defined as The knowledge of current or up to date events. It
can refer to music, television, film, sports, and anything in the public domain.
(reference.com.n.d.). MTV operates globally and one may argue that MTV shapes
their audience tastes however in present times the public has vast options and
therefore can easily dictate by choosing the channel that best suits their tastes and
wants. MTV s power to adapt to change has worked to their advantage as they have
been able to capture their target audience throughout their existence.
MTV was first to establish principles of popular culture. MTV became an iconic
presence in popular culture, inspiring visual media culture. Over the years, MTV
has played a major role on popular culture on a global scale. MTV has advanced in
becoming a leading style of popular culture for younger generations. MTV and its
culture has spread world wide resulting in MTV s expansion into different channels
and countries such as MTV China, MTV Canada, MTV India, etc. however, all the
channels belong to one mass media source: MTV.
The Rural Class In John Steinbeck s The Grapes Of Wrath
John Steinbeck wrote profoundly about the economic problems faced by the rural
class during the Great Depression. In almost all of John Steinbeck s novels he
depicts characters circumstances with sufferings, economic hardships, racial
injustice, and various social plights. His books are a cry of social rage, bitterness,
wisdom and basically left wing politics. In the Grapes of Wrathhe tells the story of
the Joad family during the period of the dust bowland The Great Depression. The
Joad s family trip from the dust bowl of Oklahoma in hopes of finding work in the
verdant fields of California. It tells about the horrible, unsanitary living conditions,
and low wages. Of Mice and Men tells of two migrant workers in California who

Forward Facing Car Seat Safety
The most exciting part of raising a child is watching them reach different
milestones of their life. From sitting up, to talking and walking, to their first
birthday most parents are ecstatic and dismal. No parent would ever put their child in
any danger or to purposely hurt them. But by simply keep kids in a rear facing
position can be 500% times safer. In 100 car accidents, 8 children will die or have
serious injuries in a rear facing car seatcompared to the 40 children that will die or
have serious injuries in forward facing car seats. Putting a childin a forward facing car
seat, before their second birthday, that creates uninformed decisions that can cause
incomplete growth, serious injuries, and death. First, the biggest problem is the
myths that go along with car seats and car seat safety. CNN reports that 24% of
parents will turn their children around before they reach two. One reason is the huge
myth that a child has outgrown the position of a rear facing position. Most car seats
have adjustable positions as the child grows, as well as, have weight and height limits
printed in the car seat manual.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Culture Of Aboriginal Australians
Demolishing the Culture of Aboriginal Australians In Australia before the late
eighteenth century, the native Aboriginal people s unique culture flourished,
fostering a great sense of pride within its inhabitants. The Aborigines were able to
familiarize themselves with their geographical surroundings, which in turn helped
them to obtain food, while simultaneously upholding their many traditional spiritual
and ancestral beliefs. Many native songs, dances, and collections of art were
referenced by the Aborigines in their Dreamtime , a collection of cultural stories that
connected the spiritual world to their modern world and its creation. These stories
conveyed the importance of treating nature with respect, a view that starkly
contrasted with European philosophy. The Aboriginal people thrived in the terrain of
Australia for nearly 40,000 years before British colonization in 1788. Many distinct
tribes lived throughout Australia, and the Aboriginal population peaked at 500,000
people in the 1780 s during the pre colonization era. During the early stages of their
colonization of Australia, European forces did not intend to harm the Aboriginals, but
due to Europe s unrelenting racism and Social Darwinism, the Aboriginal culture was
eventually obliterated. During their first European explorations of the Australian
Continent, Captains Willem Jansz, James Cook, and Arthur Phillip had no intention
of obstructing the Aboriginal peoples way of life. In 1606, Dutch fleets led by

The Importance Of A 3d Supportive Structure
As mentioned before, in tissue regeneration is of crucial importance the use of a 3D
supportive structure because when cells are seeded into these scaffolds enables the
proliferation of cells and chondrogenic differentiation; and with it the three
dimensional tissue formation. Scaffolds must be able to withstand physiological
loading until sufficient tissue regeneration occurs. Moreover, the material must be
sufficiently porous to allow for effective transport of nutrients. Finally, it should be
biocompatible and, if biodegradable, degrade as the tissue matrix is produced leaving
only nontoxic degradation products.

Business Level Strategy Of The Coca Cola Company And
Pepsi
Although business level and corporate level strategies differ in scope, development,
and enforcement, they interact in the achievement of organizational goals.
Consequently, it is important to assess the best strategies that an organization should
adopt as this defines its performance both in the short term and long term. As seen in
this study, the difference in choice of strategy between the Coca Cola Company and
Pepsi define their performance, command, and dominance of the market. The
strategies adopted by a firm ought to be in line with its organizational objective sand
goals. For instance, a long term business strategy affects the performance of the firm
in the future. Therefore, a proper choice of strategy guarantees good business

position of women during this time, the Middle Ages, remained generally portrayed
as oppressed and obedient. However, two particular tales depict the female
characters rather inversely: The Miller s Tale and Wifeof Bath s Tale. The Miller s
Tale introduces Alisoun the attractive, young wife to a much older and naive
carpenter (Chaucer 266). The relationship between Alisoun and her husband
illustrates the conventional Middle Age marriage: the husband exercises ultimate
control (Peksenyakar 2016). Therefore, Alisoun could not act upon any decision
making without the carpenter s consent... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Women had fundamentally no say in their daily life, particularly if they were
married. Countless women married as adolescent girls to considerably older men;
these were likely prearranged by their relatives. Because of such circumstances, it
was typical for affairs to ensue between couples during this time. On the other hand,
The Wife of Bath s Tale s portrayal of women contradicts the custom treatment of
women within the Middle Ages. The Wife of Bath debated that women have the
capability of exercising authority within their marriages by using their assets to their

requirements for preserving and communicating information over networks.
According to Leon Garcia and Widjaia (2014), these requirement include:
Confidentiality and Privacy of information, which indicate that the information is
only readable and reachable by the intended recipient. Integrity which insures that the
information has not been altered during transmission. Availability which aim to
guarantee the accessibility of information to authorized users and/or applications

Constellations In The Northern Hemisphere
THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE CONSTELLATIONS
The constellations in the Northern hemisphere that I chose to observe are:
Sagittarius, Scorpius, Hercules, Aquila and Ophiuchus.
The constellations have been used for quite a few things like navigation,
agriculture and used to predicted the seasons and more. The many two that the
ancient people used the constellations for were navigation and agriculture. The
ancient Greeks and Romans used the North Star called Polaris just by looking at
how high Polaris appeared in the sky at night. This allows them to sail the ships
across the seas and to let them know where they are in the sea. The European also
used the constellations to sail across the sea for the discovery of America and the
spread of European ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I observe tried Scorpius with my own eyes but I could not find it so I used my
telescope to find it and observe it. The best time to see the Scorpius is in the evening
around 8:45pm. According to what my telescope information it said that is due to the
fact that we are looking in the direction close to the center of our galaxy. I observe
many stars in this area, and it is unfortunate for us in northern hemisphere that the
observing season for this constellation is cut short both by the brief summer evenings.
The constellation of Hercules is one of the original 48 constellations plotted by
2nd century astrophysicist Ptolemy and remains today as one of the modern 88
constellations. I did not observe the Hercules constellation. My telescope pointed
in the direction of the constellation but it was to faint for me to see it. The info from
the telescope said the best time to observe is in the middle of May. Hercules is large
and ranks as the 5th largest of all, across a remarkable 1225 square degrees of
The Film On Being Gay
The film On Being Gay gave me new ways to look at and understand what it means
to be gay. It was filled to the brim with thought provoking discussion and exercises
that allowed it to get its message through loud and clear. These being, the prevalence
of homophobia in our culture and what causes it, learning to perceive the world as if
it were predominantly filled with homosexuals, confronting the stereotypes society
maintains about homosexuals, the differences between being gayor lesbian and
coming from another minority group, and using Alfred Kinsey s theory to look at
sexuality as being on a continuum. From these topics and exercises, I feel that I now
better understand not only the overall topic of homophobia within the context of
American society, and have also learned a bit more about myself as well.
Brian McNaught brought the conversation of homosexuality to a personal level. He
explained how being gay has impacted his life, and how he had to hide who he was
and act like a straight man out due to his own ignorance of his sexuality and fear of
being rejected for being gay. When he did finally come to terms with himself and
begin to reveal himself to others, his fear that he would be rejected due to his
sexuality was confirmed. This is a fear that I share about coming out, and to be
honest, I am not quite sure why. I know my family would accept it without a second
thought, my friends would not care, and my coworkers would not care. I do not
have to fear that I will be
Rhetorical Analysis Of A Commercial
In Mrs. Smith s English class we are making commercials that have to do with
ethos, pathos, and logos and we have to make a commercial. We had to find a
person that we can make seem like everyone else but at the same time be the
person they are themselves. For my commercial I did a video of a guy named Bill
Pidgeon and how he was running for president. I had to make things up so
everyone would like him and not just one group of people. Doing this project was
actually more fun than I thought, but what can really get you is if you work with a
partner. You better make sure that both of you do a lot of work on it and don t just
goof off, like Mrs Smith says before you start. In this unit it s all about how
politicians use the words that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The easy parts of this essay are at the start when you re not doing a lot, but looking
for adds on the computer, and doing different stuff on packets like, find a video or

starting the project you will think that it is going to be easy and actually I really is
and when you start to get deeper into it may get hard, but that is when Mrs Smith
can really help you on what you need to do and how to do it the easy way where it
is faster, easier, and better. This project can be easy if you know all the stuff about
computer or have done this before because it is almost done on all computers and
done by using the computer and that is part of the reason why it was easy because
the computer could help you with it if you want to edit the commercial. Other than
all the hard parts and the easy parts of this project, it is a fun project to do if you are
a person who loves computers or not. The project does have a lot of fun into it when
you want it
The Devil Is In The Details Of My Writing
The Devil Is in the Details
Writing an essay is like constructing a building. They are similar from their overall
strong and beautiful structures to their small units like bricks to the building and
words to the essay. Grammar glues all the words together in nice order to make
sentences, which are put in the structure to make a good essay. Like many other
students who are not native speakers, I do not have a strong English foundation,
but I am still able to make a great structure for my essays. However, much like
people do not feel comfortable living in houses that look good on the outside but
have holes in the walls, ugly light fixtures, and other terrible details on the inside,
people do not like to read essays that have strong ... Show more content on

That means basically almost every word I speak or write involves tenses. For
Americans, tense to their language is like breathing to our body. Something that is
crucially important but we do not really pay attention to it since we are doing it way
too often. By contrast, as a Chinese, whose language has nothing to do with tenses, I
have to say I have struggled with tenses a lot. What has made me struggle the most
in this essay is the special uses of the present tense. Rules for Writers explains that we
should Use the present tense when expressing general truths, when writing about
literature, and when quoting, summarizing, or paraphrasing an author s views.
(245). It sounds pretty easy, but I did get confused when I was writing the essay. In
the essay, I spoke in general about the relationship between a father and a son. Since
I wanted to write about the boy in his different ages, I felt so weird to use the
present tense. At that point, it just did not make sense to me if I used the present
tense to describe both his childhood and adulthood. So, here is a sentence I wrote, But
soon the boy went into his adolescence, and slowly realized that there are many
things his dad did not know, and actually he was kind of outdated. Now let us take a
closer look to what Rules for Writers says about tenses. Tenses is only involved in the
relation between when I am writing an event and when that event take place, which
means it does not
The Roman Empire And The Byzantine Empire
After reading the text book about the Roman Empire. I found that the Roman Empire
was divided into two parts. The Western half, ruled by Rome, fell to the tribal
Germanic peoples in the 5th century. The Eastern half, known as the Byzantine
Empire, until it began to decline in power, the Byzantine Empire was one of the
leading civilizations in the world. The first Christian emperor became sole ruler of
the Roman Empire. He set up his colony of Byzantium. The city, renamed
Constantinopleafter its founder, It became the capital of the Byzantines after the
Roman Empire was formally divided.
The eastern is differed from the western in many aspects. During the Hellenistic
civilization, some elements dating back to the conquests of Alexander the Great,
showing more urban, and richer than the West, and its emperors, who in the
Hellenistic tradition combined political and religious functions, had firmer control
over all classes of society. They also were more skillful in defending off invaders,
through warfare and diplomacy. With the Byzantine emperors, who still considered
themselves Romans, and support the dream of control the barbarian kingdoms of the
West and join up the empire.
The greatest of these emperors was Justinian who prepared for the conquest by
defeating the Persians on the eastern frontier and divided the Roman Catholic church.
The weakened of his empire, preoccupied with internal problems, grew less and less
concerned with the West. Although its rulers continued
Notes On Purchasing Power Parity
Purchasing power Parity (PPP), is a theory stating that the unit of one currency
should have the same purchasing power as the foreign currency. Following the
theory, where the normal exchange rate between two currencies should be the same
as the ratio of aggregate price level between them. It can be also called inflation
theory of exchange rates as it stands for the theory of a change of price level where
as the overriding determinant of exchange ratemovements. It is the same status as
Quantity theory of money(QT). To make things clear, the dogma of PPP or its
alternative Law of one Price (LOOP), states that when goods in the basket
expressed in a single currency meaning that they cost the same in all countries.
This can be achieved only if the rate or nominal exchange rate is equal to the
differences between growth rate. The dental of LOP context is to find the most
disaggregate product and price can be readily material provides as strong
presumption that it is impossible to assemble available date into aggregate price
index which can be expected to obey the LOP.
It is introduced in 1918 by Cassel, due to World War I, while there was an
international policy debate about the appropriate level for nominal exchange rates
among countries after the large scale of inflations. Rogoff (1196), expressed that
some economists takes PPP seriously in the Short Run(S/R), but the red variant of
PPP, is in the long run exchange rate. Dornbusch and Krugman (1976) also,
Budget Justification For The Program
Budget Justification
The budget requested in this competitive renewal application is about 20% more
than the current budget. The primary reason for this increase is due to an increased
expenditure in breeding animals and animal service charges as we expanded the
use of animals in the proposed grant. In the past 4 years, employee salaries at the
UT Heath Center were increased by about 10%. This contributed a minor fraction of
the increase. We used a 3% cost escalation in preparing the budget for future years.

Survival of Nazi Atrocities and Borowski’s Narrative...
Tadeusz Borowski s This Way to the Gas, Ladies and Gentlemen is a story told by
Tadek, the diminutive of Tadeusz, recounting the Nazi atrocities that took place in
Auschwitz. In his rendering of daily life in Auschwitz, Borowski explains his role
as a kapo: a non Jewish inmate who works and schemes to survive amid daily
slaughter. In the concentration universe social relations are determined by access
to basic goods needed for survival, like food and clothing, and by the surplus of
these that can buy their possessor a place in society (Kennedy 160). Tadek works
his way up the inmate social latter in order to survive in the camp for so long. His
tactics include bartering for privileges and goods, lying and stealing. By doing this

The inmates are also referred to as transports and are brought to the camps in trains
that carry cattle cars . Symbolizing the characters as animals makes them
progressively inferior then the guards and Nazis already treat them.
Another case in which symbolism is illustrated is through the food that the inmates
acquire and the prestige that comes along with it. Around here whoever has grub
had power Plunder from the transports was the basis for the camp s black market
and barter economy (Kennedy 161). The Canada men do the unloading of the train
cars and take all of the belongings from the passengers including jewellery, gold,
coins, watches, bread, sausages, marmalade, sugar and more. They are able to take
food and clothing, or anything that is of value within the camp, when they are
working on the ramp. The ability to obtain food gives inmates the power to barter
with SS men and also other Canada men for goods or for favours.
Borowski s tone is detached through most of the story and he gives Tadek an
emotionless approach to everything going on around him. Borowski s language is
disturbing because it takes up the vocabulary of his oppressors (Kennedy 163). He
talks about trampled babies and people being cremated as though there is nothing
wrong with it. The simple language which he uses to recount his firsthand
experiences touches the reader more directly than if he had tried to raise his voice

Forecasting Methodology
Forecasting Methodology
Forecasting is an integral part in planning the financial future of any business and
allows the company to consider probabilities of current and future trends using
existing data and facts. Forecasts are vital to every business organization and for
every significant management decision. Forecasting, according to Armstrong (2001),
is the basis of corporate long run planning. Many times, this unique approach is used
not only to provide a baseline, but also to offer a prediction into the corporation s
future. In the functional areas of finance and accounting, forecasts provide the basis
for budgetary planning and cost control. Marketing relies on sales forecasting to plan

Causal tries to understand the system underlying and surrounding the item being

method in time series but may contain multiple variables, basis is that forecast is
caused by the occurrence of other events. Econometric models the forecast attempts
to describe some sector of the economy by a series of interdependent equations. An
input/Output model focuses on sales of each industry to other firms and
governments; it indicates the changes in sales that a producer industry might expect
because of purchasing changes by another industry. Leading Indicators type are
statistics moving in the same direction as the series being forecast but move before
the series, such as an increase in the price of gasoline indicating a future drop in the
sale of large cars.
Simulation Models are dynamic models; Dynamic modeling in organizations is the
collective ability to understand the implications of change over time. This skill lies at
the heart of successful strategic decision process. The availability of effective visual
modeling and simulation enables the analyst and the decision maker to boost their
dynamic decision by rehearsing strategy to avoid hidden pitfalls.

Rawls Social Inequality
Furthermore, the second law of the John Rawls Theory of Justice states that social
and economic inequalities are to be arranged so that they are both (a) reasonably
expected to be to everyone s advantage, and (b) attached to positions and offices
open to all (60). No doubt, John Rawls second principle of justiceestablishes social
equality in the society and opens the door of opportunities to every single
individual, who wants to rise from his/her present miserable situation. But this law,
disrupts the socioeconomic balance in the society. In this case everybody wants to
be in higher positions to be reputed in the society and no one wants to be a poor or
miserable. Rawl is suggesting an equal distribution of wealthamongst the people to
relish the freedom and equality. It disturbs the monopoly and make an imbalance in
the economic growth of the country. For example; Andrew Gibson, in his political
research finds that .... Inequality of income and wealth is a driver of growth. Income
disparities are part of the ......price system and they are a form of free speech invest

which is absolutely about material wealth and designations. He is also seeking
equality on the professional basis, whereas Socrates divide the

Brahms’ Brahms’ Brahms’ Third Third Third
Brahms Brahms Brahms Third Third Third
In his early days, Brahms was attracted to the traditional form of classical music
specifically Beethoven and Haydn. When the original form of the symphony was
created, many composers tried to follow and fit the same mold. In this third
symphony from an older Brahms, we see that he fits this mold by having this
symphony divided into a fast slow minuet fast. Just years before Brahms wrote his
first symphony, he was declared as the heir to Beethoven. This obviously had
pressure on Brahms at that point in his life, therefore he had to shift from a more
traditional form of writing to making it original as shown in this third symphony
even though he followed Beethoven and Haydn s traditional form. It s as if he had
this heaviness of the past on his shoulders, yet we listen to his genuine response
towards this feeling. Yes he followed this form, but we can see Brahms rhythmic
display, motivic thinking, motivic saturation, and above all his musical wisdom.
That being said, I m a firm believer that music comes from within a person and I
really do believe that Brahms felt this way toward his music. What we listen to today,
are movements that put together, have become masterpieces and models for many
composers.
Brahms third symphony is similar to Haydn s conception of the symphony which he
shows in his Oxford creation. It starts with a fast allegro movement, followed by a
slow andante movement, later has a scherzo, and finally an allegro
Summary Of John Tudor s The Boston Massacre
Tudor, John. The Boston Massacre. March 5, 1770. The diary entry by John Tudor
stated that there had been a brutal massacre on King Street in front of the
Customhouse by approximately eight soldiers. This murder took place under the
command of Captain Thomas Preston. The massacre started by a group of young
men that were having a snowball fight, but quickly drew the attention of many,
ending in Captain Thomas Preston commanding his soldiers to shoot. The diary
stated that Lieutenant Governor Hutchinson was going to do everything he could
do to get justice for those killed. Justice Dana and Tudor gave a warrant for Captain
Preston to High Sheriff, which ended with the arrest of Captain Preston and the
arrest of the eight soldiers. It was no longer safe for the troops to be in the town
because everyone hates them, so Lieutenant Governor called for the immediate
removal of the troops from the town to Castle William. The textbook and the diary
entry are both similar on how the massacre began, but the textbook states that the
soldiers came to assist White, ending in the soldier being surrounded by the crowd
and one of the soldiers being knocked down. The soldier that was knocked down, got
up and fired his musket according to the textbook, but the diary entry stated that
Captain Preston commanded the soldiers to fire. The textbook does not state anything
about the soldiers being immediately removed, but states that the redcoats left for
Canada.

The Discovery of the First Bog Body
A bog body is classified as a human corpse that over a long course of time has been
naturally mummified in a peat bog. A peat bog is a swamp that collects peat, which
is dead plant material, often moss. In the peat bog when a body is mummified they
are often known as bog people. These bodies are crucial to our understanding of the
past for what they reveal.
Since the discovery of the first bog body known as Amcotts Moor Woman who was
discovered in 1747 in England, bog bodies have been a main source of what is
considered vital information for restructuring our past. They have allowed humans to
explore the past and our heritage and have helped them to acquire a further
understanding of how we, as a human race, have developed. A great example of the
knowledge that bog bodies have provided us is Tollund Man. Tollund Man who was
found in Denmark is one of the most famous examples of bog bodies, he has helped
us to extend the small snapshots we have of the past. Bog bodies as a collective are
also revealing information about the individual bodies themselves and the lifestyles
they led. This primary evidence aids our modern understanding of our historical past.
Bog Bodies allow us to delve into the ancient lifestyles that the individuals led, this
includes their diet, their looks, their clothing, their beliefs and their customs. Tollund
Man revealed all this information and more when scientists began to reconstruct his
life. Tollund Man was found with a leather belt and a
School Uniforms Are Not A Good Idea Essay
school uniforms are not a good idea because they can increase bullies, they are
financial burdens that give nothing in return, and they are bad for student s morale.
Some school uniform policies can increase bullying or violence at schools.
According to Marian Wilde on of the thing that people who oppose uniforms say is
that they increase the number of incidents of bullyingdone by students from other
schools. This makes sense because if they don t have uniforms than they may put
themselves above us. According to ProCon.org in there is no evidence in bullying
literature that supports a reduction in violence due to schooluniforms. and this makes
sense because why would someone who is hurting you stop because you are wearing

According to Susan Nkingyangi Many children have only one uniform, and that
may be all the clothes they have. By the end of a year, the uniform is often pretty
shabby and the child often subject to bullying. This excerpt shows that only the

decrease morale in turn decreasing the work ethic in school, like in the last

could also lead to insecurities about how you look, distracting you from learning

of school uniform into different territory, with student Shabina Begum fighting a

Physical Therapy Reflection Paper
It was the summer of 2015, it was one the biggest transformation years in high
school athletics going from my freshman year to my sophomore year. There was a
different plan for my summer other than sports. I had my knee in a brace the whole
summer while having crutches underneath my armpits for most of the summer.
This brace was large, it went from my ankle to my upper thigh with 4 straps and
metal rods on the side of my legs. I was putting all my trust into the brace to keep
my knee stable and not hurt it more. It was my first day of Physical TherapyI was at
Summit Orthopedics in Vadnais Heights, and I smelt the same things as I did the
time I came the first time to OrthoQuick. It was the smell of hand sanitizer and
elder people. What I saw was the elder people waiting for their name to be called to
go back with their physical therapist. My physical therapist name was Derek. He
brought me back to a room that was no bigger than an average observation room.
We started physical therapy by engaging my quad and then releasing it. The part
that I was surprised by the most is the electrical stimulation. They put patch on
each side of my quad and connect wires to the patches, and it felt like my quad was
vibrating and tingling on a beat. The time I was there before my surgery was one of
the hardest day to comprehend in my life it was the day that we went over the MRI.

Characteristics Of Femininity In British Literature
According to The Broadview Anthology of British Literature, There was much debate
concerning the proper place of women and the ideal characteristics of femininity
throughout the nineteenth century (610). Formally, the Victorian Era followed the
reign of Queen Victoria in England from 1837 to 1901, but the era is not so rigidly
set. The ideologies, values, and mores associated with the Victorian Erawere present
before Queen Victoria, and then followed into America and also lived sixty years
past its recorded date of death. In the United States during the 1950s and 60s, the
idea of femininity was still being explored, just as it was a century prior in another
country. Women in the Victorian Era and in 1950s and 1960s America experienced
similar oppressions, suppressions, questionings of worth and intelligence, and similar
legal restrictions.
American female authors such as Sylvia Plath and Adrienne Rich called on their
dexterous writing abilities to convey their feelings of displeasure in regards to
women s treatment in the 1950s and 1960s. In Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar, Esther
Greenwood is a young woman of 1950s America, but she has thoughts, opinions, and
feelings that do not align with those of her society. Similarly, Adrienne Rich s poem
Aunt Jennifer s Tigers features a woman whose society has found its way into her
personal life and her home. Both women cannot escape the Victorian worlds in which
they live. Esther attempts to reject it and fight against it, while

Pros And Cons Of Argument Against Gun Control
Gun control has been one of the most debated topics in the United States and all over

parts of the gun control argument that might be considered. Because the topic is
whether or not the right to bear arms should include assault rifles, the definition of an
assault rifleneeds to be established. According to the NRA, an assault rifleis, By U.S.
Army definition, a selective fire rifle chambered for a cartridge of intermediate
power. If applied to any semi automatic firearm, regardless of its cosmetic similarity
to a true assault rifle, the term is incorrect. The other key term that plays a major role
in this subject is the second amendment. The second amendment states this, A well
regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the
people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Public safety tends to be one of the biggest concerns when assault rifles are included
in the discussion. There are pro gun control advocates say that countries such as
Australia with no guns have a lower rate of gun related violence. The people that are
against gun control believe quite the opposite and cite the rate of gun related violence
in Chicago as their proof against it. Another argument that supports gun control is that
the injuries that are treated with our tax money, and that this is a waste of money that
could be put towards other beneficial programs for our
Olympia Ship Model Essay
The Ship model I have chosen is the Olympia (C 6) protected cruiser. It was a
U.S.S. ship commissioned in 1982. The reason I immediately chose this ship was
due to the evidently noticeable rotatable turrets on the bow and aft of the ship. This
style of turret was reminisce of the U.S.S. Monitor s rotating turret, previously
studied in class. I liked how I could relate previous knowledge of technological
advancements and see how they were implemented later on in ships. This shipwas one
of kind in that it was the only ship of its class ever made. The construction of the
Olympia had a lot of historic significance for the navy at that time. Upon completion
it was the largest and fastest ship in the Navy, powered by three steam engines.
However,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It did this with its large assortment of guns as were evident from the scale model,
and the two large rotating turrets. The first major conflict involving the Olympia
was during the Spanish American War during the battle of Manilla bay. Here the
Olympia was the flagship of Commodore Dewey. This is also the ship where
Dewey uttered the famous quote, You may fire when you are ready, Gridley. The
Olympia helped win the battle with ease. Next the Olympia found itself in the
waters of the Caribbean, serving as the flagship for that area. The Olympia proved
instrumental in providing sea pressure to help the U.S. assert control of the Naval
base of Guantanamo Bay. Shortly after this the ship was decommissioned and
repurposed as a training ship for midshipmen at the Naval Academy. The Olympia
however would not stay this way for too long, the growing tensions in Europe
required U.S. Involvement and during this time the Olympia was refitted to fight
again. During WWI the Olympia was used as an escort for U.S. convoys to Europe.
Next the ship was sent to Russia to combat against the Bolsheviks in the Bolshevik
revolution.
Crohn s Disease Analysis
Before I start explaining how terrible this disease is, I chose it because I am currently
suffering from it. I have had Crohn s since 2012 and have gone through three
colonoscopies and endoscopies. My Gastroenterologist, in the beginning, tried two
treatment plans, which did not work. The third treatment plan, which is Humira
injections, seems to be working so far. Crohn s Disease is an autoimmune disorder
that causes inflammation in the bowels and digestive tract; the inflammation can be
in different locations of those areas. The inflammation is thought to be the body
making too much of certain proteins. The disease can affect anyone at any age. Right
now, doctors feel that it can be brought on both by the environment or passed down

Impact Of Land Use In Buganda
The essay seeks to discuss the impact of colonial land tenure reforms on the land
use in Buganda region. The essay is structured in way that it will provide a historical
overview of Buganda region both before and after the advent of colonialism, and then
it will provide the section of implications of the tenure reforms on the land use during
the colonial period and post colonial Buganda. There a number of contemporary
debates over the land use in Buganda region from scholars, Non Government
Organizations and development specialists who argue that while the land was
available for communal use in customary tenure systems in Buganda, the introduction
of privatized propertyrights played the key role in constraining agricultural production
and causing land conflicts. Does this imply that the current problems of unproductive
land use and conflicts in Buganda region have much to do with the British colonial
reforms? The essay will seek to present a detailed account on the question.
When Uganda became a British protectorate at the end of the nineteenth century, one
of the major interventions by the British on the land use was the introduction in 1900
a formalized individual private property ownership in Buganda. In Uganda, land is ...

This affected a huge to the majority of peasants who were cultivating cotton and
coffee not for their own incomes but for the British; as they were paid fewer wages,
they were unable to buy land because of the limited purchasing power they instead
became squatter settlers. They started farming and grazing animals on the
undeveloped land of the absentee landlord and their permanent settlement was not
guaranteed because of fear of eviction. As the number of people was gradually
growing, the gaps between the have and have not started to expand and the tenure
insecurity became widely felt among the tenant
Correlation Between Motivational Factors For Athletes
And...
Furthermore, just as there are motivational factors for athletes, and that there are also
different attitudes or beliefs that athletes might have towards certain facets, such as
doping or wanting to be successful. It is imperative that one understands that those
same factors and or facets are quite similar if not identical to the factors and or facets
associated with those athletes. Going forward, there will be an in depth examination
of the correlation between motivational factors for athletes and those of sport
ministries. Sport ministries can be defined as, activity put on by an organization that
occurs during a person s leisure time, that has a specific purpose and or deliberate

As stated before, although the motivational factors are quite similar to the factors
affecting athletes, I believe it to be of dyer importance to depict the motivational
factors for a sports ministry from a theological perspective. There are four distinctive
theological motivations for sport ministry and they are creation, worship, redemption,
and liberty and experience. With regards to creation in sports ministry, one must
understand that it consist of two different levels.
XXXXXX
These levels of creation can either be micro creation or macro creation. For example
God can be glorified through sport because he created it. Therefore, anything
created by God can give him praise. This is why athletes can glorify God because;
they have been created by the creator (God). Consequently, a micro level of
creation would be an athlete using his or her talents to be successful but, with
sport ministry that individual is a mere reflection of Christ, because Christ was the
one who gave said individual the gift to begin with. Genesis 1:27 28 makes
references to micro creation when it says, So God created man in his own image, in
the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed
them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and
subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (KJV, 2001).
Being a reflection of Christ

  • 2. Desertion By Karlowler Transformation is a process when one changes into something else, something new. People think that when they change themselves, they become better. Everyone wants to feel special and unique, that is often why people go through conversions. But sometimes the transformation can actually ruin someone s life. It can take away normality or create a completely new being. Converting oneself can either be beneficial or actually be detrimental to one s life. Is becoming a new self worth the risks that come with it? Taking away the normality in life can be something that can changeone s life to the worse. There will be constant discrimination and fear in a society when there are different kinds of people. This leads to a harder life for those people.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Changing life form changes one s perspective in life. But becoming something new can make one leave human society, this can cause problems. In the story Desertion , Fowler is conducting research of Jupiter, to see whether humans can live there or not. After Fowler sends out four men that never came back, after they were converted to Jovian form, which is the only way humans can survive in Jupiter s atmosphere, he converted himself and his dog as well. His dog, Towser, and him went out of the domes and began to experience an immense amount of knowledge. But instead he had found something greater than Man had ever known. A swifter, surer body. A sense of exhilaration, a deeper sense of life. A sharper mind (Desertion, p.125). Because of this though, Fowler and Towser become to obsessed with their new life form, they don t want to change back to their original forms. I can t go back, said Towser. Nor I, said Fowler. They would turn me back into a dog, said Towser. And me, said Fowler, back into a man. (Desertion, p.126). Their selfishness caused them to leave the people without the information that they were sent to get. They practically abandon human life, which hurts the researchers efforts; this prolongs the search of a new home when it is need. If they keep converting humans into Jovian form, then all those people will leave human life forever, and human life will be in danger when it comes a time to find a new planet to live on. This shows that conversion that one may think is better, can actually have various negative
  • 3. An Exotic Forest By Henri Rousseau Woman Walking in an Exotic Forest (1905), created by French artist, Henri Rousseau, is a painting that depicts a woman positioned in the center foreground of the piece, fashioned in lightly coloured attire of the early 20th century. A vibrant forest surrounds the woman to make up the middle and background of the painting, and consists of tall blue flowers, grasses, and trees that carry large orange fruit. Through this specific content, and the stylistic elements of the piece, the painting comes to illustrate the challenges and turmoil of the transition to Modernitythe quality or condition of being modern (OED,1). This thematic component reveals itself through the tension between the periods of Modernity and Classicism, as seen through the central image of the woman, the painting s scale, and colour palette, along with, the inclusion of Primitive elements in the style, and subject used. As such, this methodology, in the form, and technique of the piece, communicates a larger complexity. Where Modernity refers to the state of being modern, Classicism contrasts this notion as a movement that attempts to harken back to aesthetics, and themes of the classic eras, so as to root itself in the past (OED, 3). This piece represents classical elements through the inclusion of the woman. Chapter 20: Replay and Critique of David King s Reframing _______________ There is value in having students compare their own thinking about the RFK High case with the reframing process depicted for David King in the chapter. One way to do this is to ask students to read the case, stop there, and engage in their own effort to reframe using the same questions David King used. (This can be done either individually or in groups.) Once students have developed their own diagnoses, they can read the remainder of the chapter and compare their thinking with David King s. Another option appears in Exercise 20.1. Chapter 20: Applying Reframing to Cases or Personal Experience_________ The chapter focuses on putting it all together: integrating everything learned about organizations and leadership into more comprehensive and powerful understanding and action. The reframing process illustrated in the chapter can be applied to almost any case or experience: students personal cases, published cases, films or fiction, or class experiences (role plays, experiential activities, team experiences, the course). Instructors can, for example, have students study a challenging case (multiple suggestions are offered elsewhere in this instructor s guide) and then, either individually or in teams, reframe to develop both diagnoses and solutions. They are similar from their overall strong and beautiful structures to their small units like bricks to the building and words to the essay. Grammar glues all the words together in nice order to make sentences, which are put in the structure to make a good essay. Like many other students who are not native speakers, I do not have a strong English foundation, but I am still able to make a great structure for my essays. Something that is crucially important but we do not really pay attention to it since we are doing it way too often. By contrast, as a Chinese, whose language has nothing to do with tenses, I have to say I have struggled with tenses a lot. What has made me struggle the most in this essay is the special uses of the present tense. Rules for Writers explains that we should Use the present tense when expressing general truths, when writing about literature, and when quoting, summarizing, or paraphrasing an author s views. (245). It sounds pretty easy, but I did get confused when I was writing the essay. In the essay, I spoke in general about the relationship between a father and a son. Since I wanted to write about the boy in his different ages, I felt so weird to use the present tense. At that point, it just did not make sense to me if I used the present tense to describe both his childhood and adulthood. So, here is a sentence I wrote, But soon the boy went into his adolescence, and slowly realized that there are many things his dad did not know, and actually he was kind of outdated. Now let us take a closer look to what Rules for Writers says about tenses. Tenses is only involved in the relation between when I am writing an event and when that event take place, which means it does not

Brahms’ Brahms’ Brahms’ Third Third Third Brahms Brahms Brahms Third Third Third In his early days, Brahms was attracted to the traditional form of classical music specifically Beethoven and Haydn. When the original form of the symphony was created, many composers tried to follow and fit the same mold. In this third symphony from an older Brahms, we see that he fits this mold by having this symphony divided into a fast slow minuet fast. Just years before Brahms wrote his first symphony, he was declared as the heir to Beethoven. This obviously had pressure on Brahms at that point in his life, therefore he had to shift from a more traditional form of writing to making it original as shown in this third symphony even though he followed Beethoven and Haydn s traditional form. It s as if he had this heaviness of the past on his shoulders, yet we listen to his genuine response towards this feeling. Yes he followed this form, but we can see Brahms rhythmic display, motivic thinking, motivic saturation, and above all his musical wisdom. That being said, I m a firm believer that music comes from within a person and I really do believe that Brahms felt this way toward his music. What we listen to today, are movements that put together, have become masterpieces and models for many composers. Brahms third symphony is similar to Haydn s conception of the symphony which he shows in his Oxford creation. It starts with a fast allegro movement, followed by a slow andante movement, later has a scherzo, and finally an allegro

The diary stated that Lieutenant Governor Hutchinson was going to do everything he could do to get justice for those killed. Justice Dana and Tudor gave a warrant for Captain Preston to High Sheriff, which ended with the arrest of Captain Preston and the arrest of the eight soldiers. It was no longer safe for the troops to be in the town because everyone hates them, so Lieutenant Governor called for the immediate removal of the troops from the town to Castle William. The textbook and the diary entry are both similar on how the massacre began, but the textbook states that the soldiers came to assist White, ending in the soldier being surrounded by the crowd and one of the soldiers being knocked down. The soldier that was knocked down, got up and fired his musket according to the textbook, but the diary entry stated that Captain Preston commanded the soldiers to fire. The textbook does not state anything about the soldiers being immediately removed, but states that the redcoats left for Canada. Andrews, John. The Boston

With regards to creation in sports ministry, one must understand that it consist of two different levels. XXXXXX These levels of creation can either be micro creation or macro creation. For example God can be glorified through sport because he created it. Therefore, anything created by God can give him praise. This is why athletes can glorify God because; they have been created by the creator (God). Consequently, a micro level of creation would be an athlete using his or her talents to be successful but, with sport ministry that individual is a mere reflection of Christ, because Christ was the one who gave said individual the gift to begin with. Genesis 1:27 28 makes references to micro creation when it says, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
