People should have a high school diploma before they get a driver s licences for two reasons they are,
some people are too immature to be handling a driver s license, some people who do have a driver s
licence but no car sometimes don t really have enough education about how to drive cars, but for a
counter claim ;however, Most people would learn at a younger and better age to drive than those who
learn to old and have some difficulties remembering.
The first position in this argument is some young people who do know how to drive or near to learn

The Causes And Treatment Of Dialysis
DIALYSIS
Being one of the eight leading causes of death in the United States, kidney disease is very life
threatening. Many people carry on day to day routines with no knowledge of the signs to be aware of
when developing kidney failure. The two main causes of kidney failure are high blood pressure and
diabetes. For people with kidney failure, options for treatment become dialysis or to receive a kidney
transplant. Since the process for a kidney transplant could take years, many people choose to receive
dialysis treatment. The process of dialysis serves as a substitute for the kidneys and clinically flushes
the blood of any impurities.
The process of dialysis evolved in the twentieth century. After watching a man die due to kidney
failure, Dr. Willem Kolff (father of dialysis) discovered the first artificial kidney. In 1943, Dr. Kolff s
mission to invent the first artificial kidney was a success. During the era, of World War II, the artificial
dialyzers helped save many soldier s lives. Because of this great invention, many kidney patients were
able to live longer which gave them a greater chance of survival. Because dialysis changed the life
expectancy of the patients, many were able to receive transplants. The first kidney transplant was
performed in the early 1950 s. Since this invention was created, many technological improvements
have come along which is making it possible for the people effected by kidney disease to live long,
meaningful lives.

Biographical Summary Uncle Toms Cabin, written by Harriet Elizabeth Beecher Stowe in 1852, made
her the most widely known American woman writer of the 19th century. She was a housewife with six
children, who opposed slavery with a passion. With the advice of her sister in law she decided to write
this novel. Harriet or nicknamed Hattie Beecher was born on June 14, 1811 in Litchfield, Connecticut.
She was the sixth out of eleven children and was born into a family of powerful and demanding
individuals. With her mom, Roxanna Foote Beecher dying when she was only 4 years old, Harriet
only had a father figure to look up to growing up. Her father, Lyman Beecer, was a leading

This is what first influenced Harriet to begin writing. When Harriet had moved to Brunswick Maine
with her family, the United States Congress had just passed the Fugitive Slave Law. Shortly after, she
had planned to write a protest of slavery since her experiences in Cincinnati. Stowe then began to
work on Uncle Toms Cabin, which first appeared in serial form in a Washington, D.C. antislavery
newspaper called the National Era. The book was first published March of 1852, in a two volume set.

Of course, we are all familiar with the overcrowding in our prisons, well within the last decade or so
we have seen an increase in how many juveniles are now being tried as an adult then ending up in our
adult prison system. Statistics show that instead of helping the youth of our nation, the justice system
has given up on them and parents are tired of their children sentenced to a life in prison.
What happened to the fundamentals of our correction system? Are we not supposed to try and reform
them while deterring them from future criminal behavior? If we could apply the practices

was discussed about it, the district manager was contacted and decided to lower her appearance score

The Moral Education Theory Of Punishment
I would now like to further demark the limitations of power that the government can have over its
citizens with the Parent/ Child versus Law argument presented by Jean Hampton in The Moral
Education Theory of Punishment . Hampton says that parents are much more entitled to punish their
children than any other institution, and particularly governments, as parents have the role of what
Hampton dubs moral paternalism, which is to teach their children the entire content of morality. Other
Philosophers such as John Stuart Mill have also rejected a role of paternalism in government and go
even further and say that a law cannot restrict what an individual does to himself, specifically, such
philosophers as John Stuart Mill have rejected the state s passing any law which would restrict what
an individual can do to himself (as opposed to what he can do to another) (John Stuart Mill on Jean
Hampton 218 219). This is also a principle that Nozick defends to the right of persons to be left alone
and live their own lives, provided they are not violating the rights of others (Nozick 381). These limits
agree with the origins of our legislation and I believe are quintessential to creating moral legislation as
well as picking which actions are punishable by the state and which are not.
In summary, what I find to be a valid moral justification theory of punishment incorporates the above
mentioned limitations of law as explained by Hampton and Mill. Furthermore, I would like to
