Essay Style Paper
Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Style Paper" presents a unique challenge. At first glance,
it might seem paradoxical — composing an essay about the very style and structure of essays
themselves. However, upon deeper reflection, the task reveals itself to be both complex and
intriguing.
The difficulty lies in navigating the fine line between being informative and being overly meta.
One must strike a delicate balance between discussing the characteristics of essay writing and
actually embodying those characteristics within the essay itself. It requires a profound
understanding of essay structure, rhetorical techniques, and the nuances of academic writing.
Furthermore, crafting an essay on this topic necessitates a keen awareness of audience
expectations. Readers will anticipate a demonstration of the principles being expounded upon,
meaning the essay must exemplify the very elements it discusses. This recursive aspect adds an
additional layer of complexity to the writing process.
Moreover, tackling the topic of "Essay Style Paper" demands a thorough exploration of various
subtopics, including but not limited to thesis development, paragraph organization, citation
methods, and style guides. Each of these components contributes to the overarching framework
of effective essay writing, and each warrants careful examination and analysis.
In essence, writing an essay on "Essay Style Paper" requires not only a deep understanding of the
subject matter but also a high level of self-awareness as a writer. It involves the application of
theoretical knowledge in a practical context, all while maintaining clarity, coherence, and
persuasiveness.
In conclusion, while the task of crafting an essay on "Essay Style Paper" may be daunting, it is
also intellectually stimulating and rewarding. It challenges writers to think critically about their
own writing process and encourages them to refine their skills in a metacognitive manner.

Effect Of Brexit On Uk s Domestic Economy
Introduction On June 23rd 2016 the United Kingdom voted to leave the European
Union. This referendum is one of the most significant votes of a generation and will
have substantial political and economic consequences for the UK and the wider
world. Since the result of the vote, very little information regarding the terms of
Brexit has been disclosed by the UK government. This has caused considerable
economic instability, resulting in fluctuating currency markets and significant drops
in consumer and investor confidence. Despite the general consensus that Brexit will
have a negative impact on the UK economy in the long term there may be some
benefits for the financial sector, such as a decrease in the stringent financial
regulation that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When considered in light of the political climate, the falls in the pound are not good
news for the UK economy. British consumer confidence dropped sharply in the
aftermath of the referendum. In the political and market instability that followed the
vote consumer confidence suffered one of its biggest drops in history. The biggest
deterioration concerned the general economic outlook in the 12 months following
Brexit; 60% of participants felt that the economy would deteriorate, up from 46%
prior to the referendum . Consumer confidence is a vital economic indicator and can
have significant implications for investor spending decisions. If consumers within an
economy are nervous about their future economic prospects, companies will often cut
back on production and employment; in terms of the future economy, consumer
confidence can act as a self fulfilling prophecy. In the short term, the instability that
has been generated by Brexit is likely to supress business and consumer spending,
resulting in lower growth. Initial Effects of Brexit on Global Markets The Brexit
result sent shockwaves throughout the financial world; in the hours following Brexit
the Asian stock indices fell by approximately 10%. However, markets tend to overact
and the initial fall in global stock markets may have been a hasty judgement on the
potential impacts of Brexit on the global economy. Although Brexit is a significant
global event, the
Shakespeare s King Lear And The Winter s Tale
A prevailing theme in Shakespeare s King Lear and The Winter s Tale is the
possibility of reconciliation. Both rulers, Lear and Leontes, allow their political
authority to often clash with their internal flaws, but Shakespeare presents these
characters in two different settings, each of which equally produce two aspects of
redemption that are worthy of discourse. They resolve their mistakes, and with other
characters and forcers within each play that aid in their restoration, Lear and Leontes
come to find emotional redemption. However, unlike the ending of The Winter s
Tale, where supernatural forces intervene and Leontes former life is completely
recovered, King Learis not as fortunate. While Lear achieves emotional redemption
and realizes the loveand affection of his daughter and closest friends, his life is not
restored to its former lever of grandeur. This begs the question of whether complete
redemption, encapsulating both the emotional and physical elements, truly exists in a
natural world.
King Lear s character is powerful because it exemplifies the raw, emotional and
physical journey of the human condition. He embodies all the trademarks of a man
with high standing. He seemingly has within his control a kingdom that he wields
with authority, great wealth, and he is held in high esteem by his followers. In the
early lines of the play, Lear takes possession of his supremacy in dividing the entirety
of his kingdom to his daughters, solely based on which of his
Cocaine Addiction
Baby boomers will certainly remember the onset of the disco era in the late 1970s
and early 1980s. It was a time when America was in transition and liberal values
were taking over the country. It s also the time frame when cocaine became America
s drug of choice. As the new drug flowed free in dance clubs all around the country,
drugcocainewas the star of the evening. There was no negative stigma associated
with people who chose to partake because everyone was doing it and law
enforcement couldn t keep up.
What Changed for Drug Cocaine?
As the saying goes, all good things must come to and end. America had its love affair
with drug cocaine until the mid 1980s when the drug was forced underground. Make
no mistake about it, cocaine didn t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, each generation of the drug has proven to be more dangerous than the
next. The illicit drug community has also introduced dozens of new synthetic
substances to takeover as the party crowd s drug of choice. Cocaine has not
disappeared. Instead, it has morphed into an illegal narcotic that still gets its fair
share of users.
About Cocaine Addiction Today
Cocaine remains a highly addictive substance. In many cases, the associated
addiction seems to be taking a greater toll on addicts today than it did yesteryear. The
only thing that seems to have gotten better is the quality of addiction treatment.

How Did Benjamin Rush Influence The American
Revolution
Benjamin Rush was an enthusiastic patriot who played an active role in facilitating
the American Revolution. Although all of the colonists originally started off loyal to
King George III, there were several reasons that influenced Rush to turn against his
mother country. Benjamin Rush was a strong believer in human rights. Therefore, he
was impacted by the philosophy of environmentalists such as John Locke. Two other
factors that made an impact on Benjamin Rush s patriotic views were his opposition
to slavery and his friendships with other patriots such as Benjamin Franklin.
Benjamin Rush was born on January 4, 1746 in Byberry Township, Pennsylvania. In
1751, his father, John Rush, passed away and so his mother had to run a grocery

This newfound land of America gave the opportunity for a land with liberty. Rush
was bothered by the fact that the British wanted to prevent America from becoming

British House of Commons.

Since he strongly believed in the doctrine of publish or perish, he was adamant to

Academic Excellence Essay
I exemplify excellence academically by keeping up with my schoolwork and
always working my hardest on all the work I have. When I get assigned school
work I always make sure to put it in my planner, both on the day it was assigned
and on the day its due. In my personal life I display excellence by being kind to
those around me and helping others whenever I can. I love volunteering even
though I don t have as much time as I would like to do it, and to me volunteering is
a great way to help others and displaying excellence even when no one is watching.
In my opinion academic and personal excellence is displayed when someone does
something without expecting to receive praise. So if someone were to volunteer it
would be because they like doing it and not because they need to get into a good
college, even though volunteering is a great thing to have on a college application.
The characteristics I described above to demonstrate my academic and personal
excellence make me a good candidate for induction into National Honor Society
because I keep track of when I need to do something or be somewhere and I am
always willing to participate in volunteering opportunities.
Extended Response As a child my parents always taught me that being responsible
for my actions will show other people that I am a trust worthy person. Now that I m
almost an adult I try to live my life as a responsible person. I understand that
everyone has faults and people forget things, so when I do something such
Jfk Medical Center Case Analysis
This firm represents East Florida Division, Inc. and its affiliated facilities,
specifically including JFK Medical Center (the Hospital ). Reference is made to the
Hospital Participation Agreement (eff. October 1, 2011) as amended (collectively,
the Agreement ). I write regarding WellCare s failure to appropriately adjudicate and
pay the claim submitted by the Hospital for patient B.R. () By this letter, the Hospital
invokes all dispute resolutionprocedures permitted or required under the Agreement.
Patient B.R. was admitted via ambulance to the Hospital from January 30, 2013

agitation, and a CVA. WellCare authorized the care from January 30, 2013 through

The timeline to appeal is inconsistently stated in two different sections of the
WellCare Medicaid Provider Manual. In Section 5, the manual states that claim
payment disputes must be submitted to WellCare in writing within one year of the
date of the denial of the EOP. In Section 7, the Manual states that Providers have 90
calendar days from the original utilization management or claim denial to file a
provider appeal. Important to both of these provisions is that the appeal time
period does not commence until an EOP or claim denial is received by the
Hospital. In this case, the only written notice the Hospital appears to have received
from WellCare discussing its adjustment of the claim is the April 25, 2013 ERA.
The ERA, however, showed no denied charges, but instead purported (incorrectly) to
pay the entire claim at the contract rate. This is consistent with the verbal
information provided by WellCare s representatives that the claim had not been
denied. Accordingly, the appeal time period never started to run because no claim
denial was sent to the Hospital, and as such, the Hospital s appeals were timely
An Analysis of Communication Flow
An Analysis of Communication Flow Introduction Dennnis Tourish and Owen Hargie
(2004, p. 132) argue that communication is still regarded as something that managers
do to their subordinates; they drop information like depth charges on to those
employees submerged in the organisational ocean but make it very clear that they do
not expect to receive any feedback torpedoes in return. While their assessment may
certainly be understandable, it is by no means the last and final word on workplace
communication. On the contrary, maintaining a healthy flow of communication in
the workplace is essential for optimal working conditions and communication can be
seen as a two way street. This paper will show how it is possible to have a flowing
exchange of information between managers and subordinates by eliminating
intimidating factors and opening avenues to positive exchange. Allowing for Upward
Flow As any general manager will testify, it is often his or her responsibility to
oversea all areas of the business including, but not limited to, sales, engineering,
finance, purchasing, production, customer service, marketing, and employee morale.
This last element may seem minor in comparison to more fiscal concerns but it is one
that can directly affect those same fiscal elements. Therefore, it is essential that there
be an open flow of communication between a manager and his/her employees. If
there is any dissatisfaction, good news, bad news, or important information, it must
Three Contributions Of King Xerxess
How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the
morning fog it s here a little while, then it s gone (James 4:14). This story takes
place within the Biblical book of Esher, between the years of 486 465 BCE. It is
commonly known that King Xerxes of Persia relied too much on his advisors.
However, it often disagreed if Xerxes should have invited Queen Vasti to attended,
as he had was drunk from the festival. Some believe Vasti should have listened to
Xerxes when he called her. While other argue that the Queen should not have
acknowledged the King when he ordered her. Queen Vasti should not have listened
to King Xerxes for three principle reasons: Xerxes was drunk, Vasti may have
believed Xerxes would not punish her, and it was God s providence for Esther to
become queen. The first reason that Queen Vasti should not have heard out King
Xerxes commands are because Xerxes and his friends were drunk. In his
drunkenness, and often when he was sober as well, Xerxes did not trust his own
conscience. Instead he relied too much on his advisors. Usually causing unfavorable
outcomes due to the King s neglect of the situation. Moreover , the King did not
truly need Vasti at this moment, rather he just wished to show her off. Vasti may
have noticed this and decided not to her unnecessary presence to the drunk King and
his friends. Additionally, the Queen grew tired of Xerxes being a drunkened mess.
Thus, she considered herself worthy of a break. The second
The Federal Reserve Act And The Central Bank Essay

The Federal Reserve System is often referred to as the Fed. It serves as the nation s
central bank and arguably plays the most crucial role in the U.S. economy. It is the
most important regulatory agency in the U.S. monetary system and is usually
considered the monetary authority. The Fed has several responsibilities and performs
several functions. There are a few theories documented that challenge whether or not
the Federal Reserve System exists the way it is defined.
The Fed was created by Congress to help promote a safe and sound monetary and
financial system for our nation. The Fed was established by the Federal Reserve
Act, signed on December 13, 1913, by President Woodrow Wilson. The Federal
Reserve Act states in its opening paragraph An Act To provide for the establishment
of Federal reserve banks, to furnish an elastic currency, to afford means of
rediscounting commercial paper, to establish a more effective supervision of
banking in the United States, and for other purposes. There are seven members,
known as the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, in Washington D.C. They are
appointed by the President and approved by the Senate. The Fed also includes twelve
regional Federal Reserve district banks located throughout the nation based on
economic consideration and trade regions that existed in 1913. The twelve Federal
Reserve district banks have twenty five branches. At the time, the Federal

Proponents of Wikipedia might suggest that amateurs often make important
contributions to fields outside of their profession. Astronomers, Bird watchers and,
Historians are often outshined by discoveries made by Amateurs. However once the

the unofficial policy of citing original sources as a way of validating the information.
Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought or research (Logan, D.W. p1)
Impartiality should be an area where Wikipedia really flourishes. With so many
voices contributing to the ultimate output individual biases and cultural
perspectives would be rounded over and neutralized. One of the five pillars
Wikipedians (what contributors call themselves) are expected to follow is not
sharing unpublished results or promoting their personal theories. This sounds very
noble but these are amateurs, people who by definition are passionate about a topic.
If you are so passionate about a given subject that you donate you time and

be impartial in tone and content (Logan, D.W. p2)

Vampirism Research Paper
Throughout history, vampirism and werewolfism have been the basis of most
horror stories but some people believe they have come across these mythical
creatures. An example of a werewolf sighting is that of Lorianne Endrizzi in the
autumn of 1989 in Wisconsin, USA. She was driving on Bray Road where she
thought someone was kneeling at the side of the road. She slowed down and the
figure stared at her from six feet away from her car. The creature was coated head
to toe with grey and brown hair, with large fangs and sharp ears. She stated to a
reporter that his face was long and had a snout, like a wolf. The figure s eyes
apparently glowed in the darkness and they were a yellow gold colour. Lorianne

Usually, the werewolf turns back into a human at sunrise, with no recall of the
previous night s actions. Lycanthropy is a clinical name given to werewolves in
fiction, but is also a medical term referring to someone who is under the influence
that they are a wolf (The Brain Bank North West 2012).
Some medical theories concerning the origin of werewolves are based around
porphyria which is a disease that effects the skin and nervous system, the same
disease linked to the vampire myth. Some victims of porphyria display the fang
canine look caused by the corrosion of the gums. Furthermore, following exposure to
light, the healing blisters on the skin often grow a thin layer of hair (The Brain Bank
North West 2012).
Wolves are carriers of the lupine parvovirus (LPV), and it is suggested that the virus
is responsible for lycanthropy. LPV infected wolves are resistant to environmental
trauma, including digestive enzymes, making it much easier to spread through
contaminated food and water sources. Wolves infect humans through biting and after
infection, there is a period of high fever, chills and other flu like symptoms, and the
victim is likely to experience extreme dehydration and itching as their metabolism
and heart rate increase (Hugo Pecos and Robert Lomax

in reality, Cibola never existed. Subsequently, there were four expeditions that

had happened and when. Some of these expeditions ended in desperation, but for the
others, there are no known results. The seven cities of Cibola, are known to be a

making it the second attempt of looking for the City of Gold. The third attempt

Primary Activities
Inbound logistics Carl Pei, the director of OnePlus global has mentioned that the
invitation system that they have was more about managing their inventory because
ordering too much upfront will give them a negative impact. By doing so, they will
be able to manage the amount of devices that they sell to consumers and therefore
their logistic support team will get the chance to catch up. Additionally, according to
Tam and Messmer (2015), OnePlus has been able to eliminate cost of location rents,
staff and etc which could actually cost them up to 35% of the final price of their
smartphones.
Operation After releasing OnePlus 3, The best value for money smartphone for this
year, OnePlus surprisingly decided to announced the upgraded version of OnePlus 3
which is OnePlus 3T just after five months after they released it (Chakraborty, 2016)
Outbound logistics According to Bacon (2016), instead of using intermediary retail
partners OnePlus managed to keep their cost low by selling it directly to their
consumer online. As a result, in year 2016, OnePlus has shipped to over 34 countries.
Therefore on September, OnePlus has announced their plan about allowing pre order
for their One phone on October. However, as OnePlus move forward to the India and
Australia market, they started to explore potential partnerships

In 1998, Google Inc., a company that did not actually exist, ( Google Inc. 2012 )
received their first investment of $100,000. This small startup company, originally
named Backrub, was founded by two Stanford University PhD students, Larry Page

students at Stanford University, became the world s largest search engine in 2000. In
just 4 years these two students took a research project and turned it into a profitable
business, which is now a part of everyday life for most people in the world. The
startup story of Google is an impressive one, but more impressive than that is the
environment in which the employees work. According to Jorgen Sundberg (2014)

My Worldview And The Holy Trinity
In this day and age there are so many different types of worldviews. People all over
the world celebrate life in a different way. They all worship different gods, weather,
people, things, or nothing at all. Yes, some people refuse to believe in any kind of
hope. Though, I believe in one God with the holy trinity. It is a Godthat is all one, but
has three equal parts. That is the son, the Holy Spirit, and the father. There is so
much in this worldview, which has touched all nations and cultures in some form. I

As Sire puts it but it is I who will act and not just react like a bell ringing when a
button is pushed. I believe when people are sinful, God stays the same. When we
begin to become more like God, we find our home. Our personality is grounded in
the personality of God. That is, we find our true home in God and in being in close
relationship with him. (Sire, pg. 34)
With that because of the fall and of mankind s sin, we need to be reborn. Jesus said
in John 3:7, Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again. This is
because we all have been born in sin, Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in
sin my mother conceived me. (Psalms 51:5) How to be born again is to accept Jesus
and surrender to him. Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after
Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever
desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find
it. (Matt. 16:24 27) I believe life after death. We all will be judged when we leave

The Success Is The Accomplishment Of One s Goals
One of the meanings of the word success is the accomplishment of one s goals.
Throughout our lives we make a lot of goals because we want to be happy with
ourselves. The majority of the time we make a goal it s because we are motivated.
We get ready to do anything it takes to accomplish our goals because we believe we
can. But people set aside their goals for numerous reasons. I myself have set aside
goals of my own numerous of times. The one goalthat seems to bother me often is
working out on a consistent basis because I feel that I am very unsuccessful in this
category. Working out is very important to me because It s something I wantto do for
the rest of my life. Not only does working out make me feel happy and productive, I
care a lot about what my body looks like. After reading Chapters One through Nine
in Jeff Olson s The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines into Massive Success
Happiness, I have come to the realization of why people who are capable of success,
never see it. He explains that there are small things we can do daily that will lead
us to a life of success. In Chapter One The Beach Bum and The Millionaire Olson
calls these things, simple daily disciplines (10). For these past three weeks I have
been religiously practicing Olson s guidelines and my progress has been unsteady.
My first problem that I have encountered while trying to accomplish my goal is, after
about a week of my workouts I started losing motivation to continue every day. I felt
The Importance of the Sea in The Awakening Essay
The Importance of the Sea in The Awakening
Throughout her novel, The Awakening, Kate Chopin uses symbolism and imagery to
portray the main character s emergence into a state of spiritual awareness. The image
that appears the most throughout the novel is that of the sea. Chopin uses the sea to
symbolize freedom, freedom from others and freedom to be one s self (Martin 58).
The protagonist, Edna Pontellier, wants that freedom, and with images of the sea,
Chopin shows Edna s awakening desire to be free and her ultimate achievement of
that freedom.
Edna s awakening begins with her vacation to the beach. There, she meets Robert
Lebrun and develops an intense infatuation for him, an infatuation similar to those

It will not be until months later that the voice of the sea will pull her back to it with
its promises of freedom.
The voice of the sea pulls her back with reminiscence of her childhood. Edna recalls
an incident of running through a meadow that seemed as big as the ocean (Chopin
60) This connection of the seemingly endless field and the wide expanse of the
ocean leads to a realization for Edna. Her life is no longer as plain and simple as it
had been for many years. Suddenly, she feels like a little girl running through an
unending field, unthinking and unguided (Chopin 61). She does not know what she
wants from life anymore. She has a husband and children, but the thought of them
lacks the feelings of pleasure and love that she should have for them. Instead, they
are holding her back, preventing her from running across that wide expanse of grass
which symbolizes freedom. She realizes this when she returns home, despondent
over what seems to be a loss of her new found freedom and despondent over the
realization that Robert will never gie up society s traditions to be with her, a married
woman.
Edna s feelings of despondency fade as the sea s spell reaches out for her again. The
narrator points out that [the] voice of the sea is seductive, never ceasing, whispering,
clamoring, murmuring, inviting the soul to wander in
How Media Affects Society Essay
How The Media Affects Society
The media is undoubtedly a significant and influential aspect in modern day society.
As a means of communication in a world very much advanced in technology, the
media touches all types of people through various forms such as the radio,
newspapers, televisions etc. The question remains: what information is left unbiased
and untarnished? The people within society must sort through the many bits of
information fed to them and unfortunately, in most cases, all bits of media is taken
as the whole truth. The ways in which media impacts society to a great extent are
through the facts it chooses to reveal, as recently seen in the case of the Tamil war in
Sri Lanka. The tone in which it is presented such as the ... Show more content on

The tone can affect society s view on the situation, resulting in either a positive or
negative reaction. As seen on May 10th when thousands of Tamils met on Torontos
Gardiner Expressway, for almost 4 hours shutting down a key artery in the city s
road network. If the media had said, The Tamil protesters are keeping Torontonians
hostage in their own city vs The Tamil protesters are bravely doing what needs to
be done to save their families . This could have resulted in Toronto turning against
the Tamil community and possibly resulting in hate crimes, but instead the tone of
the media was in favour of the protesters. Which has resulted in a positive reaction
from Toronto and the Canadian government. The tone in which the facts are
presented by the media, can easily change the point of view of the consumer, and
can have either a positive or negative reaction regardless of the truth behind the
facts. Lastly, the media uses its voice to target certain audiences for certain
reactions. Who can the media target? In the case of Victoria George Pazzano, a 29

Symbolic Deaths Of Odysseus
The Symbolic Deaths of Odysseus in The Odyssey
What burden or identity does Odysseus shed in each of them? How does each death
empower him to finally return and claim both home and his kingdom?
Something in the universe changes every second. Whether it be the smallest chemical
reaction, or the death of a great star. The only thing that we have control of is how
we react to the change. You could adapt to the situation, or stay the same and refuse
to change. However, by choosing one of these options, you are setting the path you
are taking. One of these paths could lead to success and progress, while the other
could stop you in your tracks. These two paths are what Odysseus has to choose from
at every turn in his journey. Most of the time he chooses to adapt, but when he does,
he takes it to an extreme. These extremes cause him to completely change his mind
set, and get much further in his journey. This kind of change could be seen as a
symbolic death . Meaning, after going through a ... Show more content on

By crashing on the island he lost his strength and persistence because there was no
way he could fight his way out of this situation. In this instance the death he
experiences does not immediately help him advance in his quest, but, it is a very
important part in his journey. On the island, he is able to completely unravel, he no
longer has to put up a strong front for anyone. Letting go allowed him to face his
weaknesses, fears, and thoughts all at once. Sitting on the rocks and beaches,
wrenching his heart with sobs and groans and anguish, (The Odyssey, Book 5, lines

of his voyage. If he hadn t let his weaknesses come through on the island, he would
have been left with them on his shoulders for the rest of his life. Therefore, when he

Disabilities In Forrest Gump
For this project, I decided to revisit the story/movie of Forrest Gump. In the movie,
Forrest Gump was portrayed as a young man with both intellectual and physical
disabilities; these characteristics categorized him abnormal/less of a man. These
disabilities made Forrest experience devaluation on various levels in different stages
of his life. His mother tried to protect him from such acts keeping him isolated and
close to home. Forrest Gumps character was made fun of a lot, throughout the film.
As a child, Forrest Gump had visual impairments that required him to wear leg
braces. These braces were to assist him with the crook in his back. Further research
relates this type of impairment with scoliosis. It is also portrayed that Forrest Gump
Early Grief Theory Essay
J. William Worden s adaptation of early grief theories focussed on the role of
therapists and counsellors in caring for grieving individuals. He described the
grieving process in terms of four tasks to complete rather than four phases to progress
through. The first task he labeled Accepting the Reality of the Loss in which the
individual attempts to accept their loss both intellectually and emotionally. The
second task, Working Through the Pain of Griefinvolves working through the intense
emotions often associated with grief, such as anger, sadness, and guilt. The third task,
Adjusting to an Environment in Which the Deceased is Missing, comprises a series
of adjustments, which Worden defines as external, internal, and spiritual adjustments.

Shuchter and Zisook (1993) explored the concept that relationships exist on many
levels, for example an actual relationship, a symbolic relationship, and imagined
relatedness. When a death occurs, only the actual relationship ceases to exist, while
the other levels of the relationship remain and may even become stronger (as cited
in Klass, Silverman, Nickman, 1996, p. 39). Many studies showed individuals
making an effort to maintain attachment through various means, including speaking
to the deceased, visiting the gravesite, or keeping meaningful objects (Corr et al.,
2009; Klass et al., 1996; Wright Hogan, 2008). These studies lead Hogan and
DeSantis (1992) to explore their Grief to Personal Growth Theory, which
conceptualized an individual progressing through their intense grief and
experiencing a transformation or personal growth as a result of their pain (as cited in
Wright Hogan, 2008, pp. 352 354). This theory was originally based on qualitative
studies of grieving children and adolescents but subsequent studies of grieving adults
revealed similar results. First, the individual experienced intense grief involving
periods of intrusive thoughts and feelings followed by periods of avoiding these
intrusive thoughts and feelings. Once the individual successfully navigated their grief
they reached a point
Summary Of William Kent Krueger s Ordinary Grace
Our faith journey is something that we have to work at our entire lives. Through
different events in our lives, the stage we are at in our journey can be affected. For
some people, a trial in their life might strengthen their faith, while other people may
be discouraged in their faith. Through different events in the book Ordinary Grace,
William Kent Krueger demonstrates how tough trials can strengthen or destruct one s
faith through God s awful grace. Everyone s faith is tested throughout the book, but
one person who really stuck out to me was Nathan s unwavering faith. While
reading this book, there are countless times when the author will make you think,
Why is he not freaking out right now? He has the ability to remain faithful to God,
and not be too quick to assume. In our lives, we tend to find ourselves always
assuming things and it tends to get us into trouble. One example that impacted me
was at the end of the book when Frank thinks that he has solved the mystery to Arial
s death. Frank is positive he knows who killed his sister and he thoughtthat his dad
would feel the same way. However, when he tells Nathan he responds, Frank, it
never pays to convict someone in advance of knowing all the facts (281). If this
were me in this situation I would have been quick to assume and slow to forgive.
However, Nathan is not your everyday guy. He still has faith in mankind even after
the horrible death to his daughter. Nathan doesn t jump to conclusions and
Introduction. Within This Paper, I Want To Take You On
Introduction
Within this paper, I want to take you on a journey of what the students, but most
importantly myself, learned throughout this field experience. I will discuss the
actual organization of Oasis, my experience being a student teacher, and what s to
come from me from this involvement. I will further write about how the transition
from my first day of volunteering to the last day has affected me in a positive way
to which it brings joy upon my face when I speak about it to others. By having a

this program has provided me great insight into what s to come when I begin to teach.

In the second grade, all of the students were Hispanic and ranged from the ages of
seven to eight. The two students that I worked with were, in my opinion, very smart
when it came to doing their assignments. Considering that English is their second
language, both students spoke well and were well mannered. As far as their learning
stages, their ways of speaking and doing their assignments showcased that they were
at the age of a second grader. Not saying that they were anywhere near of falling
behind, but with how they wrote and spoke it was evident and clear to me that they
were in the second grade. Lastly, the characteristics from the students were shown
often with the students being very active in their studies but also with their peers.
Both of my students were socially competent and enjoyed doing challenging skills.
For example, one of my students loved to practice their money skills and count coins
whereas my other student liked to practice the maps of countries and states. Little
things like this have taught me that you don t always have to be over the top and
extravagant with assignments for the students. Simply putting the alphabet,
vocabulary words, maps, times table and money on the wall will trigger and push
them to want to learn more about it. I know from experience when I was in the
second grade, my teacher was from India and he had word walls that contained
multiple ways to say Hello in other languages. This intrigued me to want to
Self-Schemat Lizabeth And Novak
The concept from the article from the reading this week that I have chosen to focus
on is the concept of Self Schemata (Lizabeth and Novak, 214 2014). This concept
was very hard to grasp while reading and discussing what the authors were talking
about. Self Schemata from what I can conceive is what one person thinks on
themselves. It is past memories and experiences that one has that helps shape how
they view themselves as a whole (Lizabeth and Novak, 2014). The authors did their
best at explaining this conceptby using a bunch of different instructions at the
beginning of this section. While reading the instructions there are no indications of
what the instructions are for or why you are doing them due to how vague they are.
For example one task states, The process is as easy as it is enjoyable.... Show more

Reading these there is no telling what they are asking for. It is not until you are
finished with the list of instructions that they explain that they are a list on tasks on
how to build a proper snowman (Lizabeth and Novak, 2014). Once you know that
the list on instructions are for that one task it all starts to make since. It is similar to
a person and how they view themselves. If you know that something makes you
angry you most likely try and avoid that certain situation. Due to the fact that you
have a schema of that certain thing and how it makes you feel. With Schema you
know through past experiences and beliefs what your strengths and weaknesses are.
You can tell what is going to make you comfortable and uncomfortable. This concept
relates to the course because it is how one s self sees themselves in the world. It is
how they know what is to come from them interacting with the world and how they
will be affected by it (Lizabeth and Novak,
Michael Corleone
Michael Corleone is the new Godfather of the Corleone family. In the original
Godfather we see that Michael is uninterested in joining the Mafia family, and is
planning on being a politician. However over the course of the film he abandons
this plan and joins the family business. Michael is a cold blooded Mafia don with
no tolerance for anyone and anything. Compared to Vito, Michael is bolder, more
violent, and more ambitious. He even becomes rich in the casino business something
in which his father stayed away from. Despite being a successful Godfather, Michael
proves to be much less successful in his personal life. Despite his previous views,
Michael eventually ends up in the family business. In the GodfatherII, Michael and

Unlike Michael, while Vito is the Godfather he still cares for his family and stands
by them. While Michael is quick to take his children away from Kay, and turn on
loyal friends. Vito comes across as mellow and relaxed. He has lived a rich, full
life and earned a quiet retirement. As we see in the movie as a young man Vito is
caring and devoted, however he is still fierce and violent. Unlike Michael, he does
not let this violence succumb to him and take over entirely. Vito has tried keep his
two worlds separate from one another and not entangle his family and his business.
Michael is cold blooded, ruthless, smart, and determined. His ability to think
clearly under fire, to be decisive, and to command respect makes him an excellent
Godfather . Although while Michael made a successful Godfather he failed to be a
successful husband father and brother, unlike his father. Michael gets caught up in
the mafia and his family life suffers from that. He has his own brother murdered,
and the rest of his siblings hate him. Also the difference between Vito and Michael
was Vito had friends while Michael created enemies. Both Vito and Michael got
involved in the mafia in very different ways. Vito created the mafia after he returned
to Sicily and became partners with Don Tommasino. By the early 1930s, Vito has
organized his criminal operations as the Corleone crime family, the most powerful in
the nation. Michael got involved when his father died and he had to step

Regarding the cost benefit analysis approach, it appears to be heavily emphasized in

The study largely gravitates towards maintaining a due recycling program and
elaborating on most optimal recycling strategies, which would give the chance to
keep maintenance costs and taxes down for business owners in the City of New

that business owners bring to recycling can result in two fold outcomes; the
ambiguity consists in enabling, on the one hand, some organizations to overcome

to overcome barriers to participation in the City of New Harbor, Delaware (Brown,

In the late 1990s, hospitality industry companies did not express concerns about

The last few days I have noticed that the back door and several of windows were
opened even though had closed them the night before. Tonight I found bloody

the blood trails were fresher than then the night before. I began to question
Grendel on what had happened because he had the tendency to get into mischief.
Grendel has been getting into a lot more mischief after finding out that his dad,

because he was becoming to big of a bad influence. Grendel also didn t like that

Essay on Frankenstein and Blade Runner
The notion of humanity is a picture intricately painted using the ideals and morals
that define us as human beings in contextual society. The audience is influenced by
the morals and values present through techniques in texts to paint their own image of
humanity. Our ideals and morals that differ in texts through context, scrupulously
shape our image of humanity
Despite different contexts, both Shelley s Frankenstein and Scott s Blade Runner
enthrall the audience in a journey to explore the inner psyche through the various
perspectives that are drawn.
BR depicts the hunger of mankind to break the barriers of humane principle and
intrinsic concepts of nature. The extended irony in the film paradoxically gifts the

F was written in 1818, when a conversation between Shelley and Byron regarding the
English culture after the French revolution influenced the novel. Shelley drew this
inspiration to focus on the lack of contextual humanity, paralleling four skin jobs

characterization developed through the narratives. The ideals and morals present
reflect on the concepts of humanity portrayed through the emotive language present
in the texts. These shape our image of humanity depending on our interpretation.
Shelley uses Victor s lack of humanity as a metaphor for mankind s negligence of the
dying essence of romanticism in the time the book was written. It is evident in the
chapter where Victor uses the serenity of nature to attain tranquility in a troubled
mind. The visual imagery created in Montanvert accentuates the
Neolithic Cave
Discuss the meaning of Paleolithic cave paintings like the ones at Lascaux. Why are
they there? What was their purpose? What do they mean?
According to the History of Art, no one knew of the existence of prehistoric cave
paintings until one day in 1879, when a young girl, exploring with her father in
Altamira in Northern Spain, crawled through a small opening in the ground and
found herself in chamber whose ceiling was covered with painted animals. Her
father, a lawyer and amateur archeologist, searched the rest of the cave, and told
authorities about the remarkable discovery, and published his findings the
following. There is no specific meaning of why people painted such dramatic

love of beauty . However, scientist now believes that the effort that was put in to
creating those beautiful paintings were more than just a simple visual pleasure .
Moreover, since the discovery of art painting, like the one Altamira, anthropologists

Vo2 Max Analysis
An athlete with a VO2 max of 65 ml/kg/min will be able to perform at a high level
for a longer duration than an athlete with a VO2 max of 40 mL/kg/min. However,
this relates to aerobic work. Someone with a high VO2 max will not necessarily be
able to perform at a higher capacity during resistance exercise or short duration high
intensity work, such as sprints.A complete VO2 Fitness test can give trainers and
clients the tools to set realistic goals and assess improvements. Many people are
inefficient exercisers, with no understanding of what specific heartrate, intensity or
duration would best help them reach their specific goals such as fat burning,

But not all studies take into account changes in lifestyle, motivation levels, injury
and many other factors. A study done on masters runners between the ages of 50
and 82 years of age, who continued to compete on a regular basis over a 10 year
period of time, showed less decline in VO2 max compared to their non competitive
counterparts. Studies also show that a slight decline in VO2 max may be
countered by the ability to deal with greater amounts of lactic acid, an advantage
found to exist in older runners2. This could possibly explain why many endurance
athletes in their late 40s and 50s are still competitive with athletes in their 20s and
30s.You can expect to see fast finish times from top pros in their 20s and 30s in the
results of any endurance event, but now it s also common to see athletes in their
40s and 50s almost as fast, if not at times faster. For example: the 40 44 year old
male category winner in the 2012 Boston Marathon finished in 2:23:08, just 10:28
behind the overall winner, making him 15th overall. In Ironman events, the top 40
50 year old finishers consistently place in the top 20 50 overall, out of thousands of
participants. Even the winner of the 50 54 year old category of the 2011 Ironman
Lake Placid placed 47th overall, demonstrating that even as you age your VO2 max
may decrease but not as fast.
Difference Between Coleridge And William Wordsworth
William Wordsworth was a British poet, credited with ushering in the English
Romantic Movement with the publication of Lyrical Ballad in collaboration with
Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The Biographical Perspective of William Wordsworth
can be presented multiply ways such as childhood experience, education, marriage,
friendship, travels, career, and publication. Childhood experience for William was
not particularly a happy one. His mom passed on when he was eight not having the
best relationship with her. His dad filled in as an attorney to the Earl of Lowther, a
famously degenerate man who had earned the neighborhood description as wicked
Jimmy. When John Wordsworth passed on in 1783, leaving thirteen year old William

A ritual is defined as a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of
actions performed according to a prescribed order. Rituals are used in almost every

The origin of the religion is unknown and the word Hindu is said to have derived

A.Global Impact
Over the past century, global demands for new medicines and materials have
increased.
Recently, many antimicrobial resistant organisms have emerged. These microbes
have become less treatable with current medications and make it difficult to prevent
or treat infections in patients. Higher doses of medicine are used, but may lead to
drastic side effects. Staphylococcus aureus has recently developed resistances to
multiple drugs, including penicillin, methicillin, tetracyclin, and even vancomycin.
The World Health Organization reported in April 2014 that drug resistant

information about myself based on the question that was assigned to the pod for
the week s discussion. I was uncomfortable answering some of the questions that
were asked of me by other pod members in my group; before on introduction was
conducted, I was asked my age, my ethnicity and where I lived. Toby stated in his
work; the tasks and skills of the social worker across stages of group development
that ...at the initial stage, the group qua group is non existent and therefore is a
source of stress rather than support to members. The work of the group is... Show

Whitney volunteered to be the recorder and the other pod members agreed. We did
not obtain the opportunity to review the information that Whitney recorded and
posted on behalf of the group for the reason that we were short of time to do so.
Mesbur indicated that, Time is a specialized aspect of structure. The importance of
time to effective group work practice needs to be understood. Often, decisions
regarding the length of time for a particular group are not made based upon
research and practice wisdom, but are formed in relation to trends and fads . While
time limited methods have been shown to be effective for many typed of
populations and problems, there are some needs which require longer term groups
(Mesbur, 2002). The importance of her insight was well received by the group as we
rushed to complete the post so that Whitney would have all of the information that
she needed to complete her recording. Whitney was efficient in connecting with every
member of the group before she posted the recordings on the main
The Necklace Greed
In Guy de Maupassant s The Necklace, Mathilde is blinded by her desires until her
life is changed forever. Even though Mathilde has a wonderful life, she yearns for
more. Her husband struggles everyday to please her need for power and pride.
With a greedy, sinful voice calling her by name, she is deprived of the joy that
affection can bring. The journey that Mathilde travels, due to her need for a higher
social status, ultimately causes her to realize the love in her life. Mathilde is a young
lady who constantly craves to have everything her social class cannot afford. In
Maupassant s short story, he states, She had no dresses, no jewels, nothing. And she
loved nothing but that; she felt made for that. She would so have liked to please,...

Even though the loss of the jewels is her fault, her husband takes on the job of
looking for the necklace while she sat waiting in a chair in her ball dress, without
strength to go to bed, overwhelmed, without fire, without a thought (71). Once the
necklace is lost it is like the greed is lost with it. Without telling Mme. Forestier,
Mathilde and her husband put all their savings together and get a loan to pay for a
new necklace to replace it. With hard work, they replenish the money they spent on
the necklace and Mathilde learns to be content with life. Once Mme. Forestier reveals
that the necklace that is lost is paste (73) and worth way less than its beauty, Mathilde
s life is already traveling down the path of transformation. Through this experience,
Mathilde learns confidence. She learns love and devotion. Maupassant

The Importance of Corporate Social Responsibility in the Brand Image
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship of the consumer
perceptions about the branding of organizations that invest in social responsibility
and the consumer behaviour regarding loyalty and willingness in paying a premium
price. Reviewing the literature about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR),
Corporate Social Performance and Corporate Financial Performance, some questions
arise: do consumers understand the efforts made by businesses regarding their social
and ethical campaigns? And if so, are consumers willing to pay a higher price for the
products and services resulting from these social and ethical campaigns? Are
consumers loyal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These differences reside at the abstract level in which the image is created in the
consumer mind. Furthermore, there are also different theories for the construction of
the brand image. Some of these theories include associations with the product
(Keller, 1998), while others take in consideration associations related to the business
(Biel, 1993), or the country of origin, or the user image (Aaker, 1996).
Initially it was Levy (1959) who conceptualised the concept of brand image. He
suggests that products have social and psychological attributes and, as such,
consumers develop emotional connections with the brands. For Plummer (1985), the
image process formation initiates through the gathering of intrinsic and extrinsic
attributes, benefits and consequences that are associated with the brand. According to
Faircloth et al (2001), the brand image is a holistic perspective built by all the
associations made with the brand.
Following this perspective, Ballantyne et al (2006), define brand image as the
consumers perception about the brand. As such, it will guide a future development of
a possible bound between consumers and organisations that have its highest
expression through consumer loyalty, and the willingness of the consumer in paying
a premium price.
The most complete definition of consumer loyalty is given by Jacoby e Chestnut
(1978) that sustain that brand loyalty represents the non random repetition of the
buying behaviour of the same brand or group of
A Psychodynamic Treatment Approach Essay
Susanna would benefit most from a psychodynamic treatment approach, with a
specific emphasis on clarification, confrontation, and interpretation/transference
interpretation. As highlighted by McWilliams (1999), recurrent themes emerge
within the therapy which constitute the client s internal and external world. With this
in mind, Susanna s internal object relations would undoubtedly unfold in the
relationship with the therapist. As Susanna evidences a lack of insight, it will be the
therapist s responsibility to clarify Susanna s experiences for her. In this view,
clarification refers to the reformulation of the patient s verbalizations to convey a
more coherent view of what is being communicated. The therapist may want to clarify
what it was like in Susanna s household growing up, and gather further information
on Susanna s romantic relationships. Clarifying sentiments might include you stated
that at times you felt loved by your mother, and hated at other times, but overall do
you feel that your mother loves you? While this technique alone will not lead to
therapeutic change, it will be essential for helping Susanna develop a rapport with the
therapist, and establishing a therapeutic alliance. As borderline pathology is
characterized by negative affects, and impulsive, dangerous behavior, the therapist s
ability to keep Susanna in treatment will be essential. The therapist can do this by
presenting him/herself non judgmentally, as well showing Susanna that s/he is

Essay Style Paper

  • 1. Essay Style Paper Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Style Paper" presents a unique challenge. At first glance, it might seem paradoxical — composing an essay about the very style and structure of essays themselves. However, upon deeper reflection, the task reveals itself to be both complex and intriguing. The difficulty lies in navigating the fine line between being informative and being overly meta. One must strike a delicate balance between discussing the characteristics of essay writing and actually embodying those characteristics within the essay itself. It requires a profound understanding of essay structure, rhetorical techniques, and the nuances of academic writing. Furthermore, crafting an essay on this topic necessitates a keen awareness of audience expectations. Readers will anticipate a demonstration of the principles being expounded upon, meaning the essay must exemplify the very elements it discusses. This recursive aspect adds an additional layer of complexity to the writing process. Moreover, tackling the topic of "Essay Style Paper" demands a thorough exploration of various subtopics, including but not limited to thesis development, paragraph organization, citation methods, and style guides. Each of these components contributes to the overarching framework of effective essay writing, and each warrants careful examination and analysis. In essence, writing an essay on "Essay Style Paper" requires not only a deep understanding of the subject matter but also a high level of self-awareness as a writer. It involves the application of theoretical knowledge in a practical context, all while maintaining clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness. In conclusion, while the task of crafting an essay on "Essay Style Paper" may be daunting, it is also intellectually stimulating and rewarding. It challenges writers to think critically about their own writing process and encourages them to refine their skills in a metacognitive manner. • 2. Effect Of Brexit On Uk s Domestic Economy Introduction On June 23rd 2016 the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union. This referendum is one of the most significant votes of a generation and will have substantial political and economic consequences for the UK and the wider world. Since the result of the vote, very little information regarding the terms of Brexit has been disclosed by the UK government. This has caused considerable economic instability, resulting in fluctuating currency markets and significant drops in consumer and investor confidence. Despite the general consensus that Brexit will have a negative impact on the UK economy in the long term there may be some benefits for the financial sector, such as a decrease in the stringent financial regulation that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When considered in light of the political climate, the falls in the pound are not good news for the UK economy. British consumer confidence dropped sharply in the aftermath of the referendum. In the political and market instability that followed the vote consumer confidence suffered one of its biggest drops in history. The biggest deterioration concerned the general economic outlook in the 12 months following Brexit; 60% of participants felt that the economy would deteriorate, up from 46% prior to the referendum . Consumer confidence is a vital economic indicator and can have significant implications for investor spending decisions. If consumers within an economy are nervous about their future economic prospects, companies will often cut back on production and employment; in terms of the future economy, consumer confidence can act as a self fulfilling prophecy. In the short term, the instability that has been generated by Brexit is likely to supress business and consumer spending, resulting in lower growth. Initial Effects of Brexit on Global Markets The Brexit result sent shockwaves throughout the financial world; in the hours following Brexit the Asian stock indices fell by approximately 10%. However, markets tend to overact and the initial fall in global stock markets may have been a hasty judgement on the potential impacts of Brexit on the global economy. Although Brexit is a significant global event, the
  • 3. Shakespeare s King Lear And The Winter s Tale A prevailing theme in Shakespeare s King Lear and The Winter s Tale is the possibility of reconciliation. Both rulers, Lear and Leontes, allow their political authority to often clash with their internal flaws, but Shakespeare presents these characters in two different settings, each of which equally produce two aspects of redemption that are worthy of discourse. They resolve their mistakes, and with other characters and forcers within each play that aid in their restoration, Lear and Leontes come to find emotional redemption. However, unlike the ending of The Winter s Tale, where supernatural forces intervene and Leontes former life is completely recovered, King Learis not as fortunate. While Lear achieves emotional redemption and realizes the loveand affection of his daughter and closest friends, his life is not restored to its former lever of grandeur. This begs the question of whether complete redemption, encapsulating both the emotional and physical elements, truly exists in a natural world. King Lear s character is powerful because it exemplifies the raw, emotional and physical journey of the human condition. He embodies all the trademarks of a man with high standing. He seemingly has within his control a kingdom that he wields with authority, great wealth, and he is held in high esteem by his followers. In the early lines of the play, Lear takes possession of his supremacy in dividing the entirety of his kingdom to his daughters, solely based on which of his
  • 4. Cocaine Addiction Baby boomers will certainly remember the onset of the disco era in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was a time when America was in transition and liberal values were taking over the country. It s also the time frame when cocaine became America s drug of choice. As the new drug flowed free in dance clubs all around the country, drugcocainewas the star of the evening. There was no negative stigma associated with people who chose to partake because everyone was doing it and law enforcement couldn t keep up. What Changed for Drug Cocaine? As the saying goes, all good things must come to and end. America had its love affair with drug cocaine until the mid 1980s when the drug was forced underground. Although all of the colonists originally started off loyal to King George III, there were several reasons that influenced Rush to turn against his mother country. Two other factors that made an impact on Benjamin Rush s patriotic views were his opposition to slavery and his friendships with other patriots such as Benjamin Franklin. When I get assigned school work I always make sure to put it in my planner, both on the day it was assigned and on the day its due. In my personal life I display excellence by being kind to those around me and helping others whenever I can. I love volunteering even though I don t have as much time as I would like to do it, and to me volunteering is a great way to help others and displaying excellence even when no one is watching. In my opinion academic and personal excellence is displayed when someone does something without expecting to receive praise. So if someone were to volunteer it would be because they like doing it and not because they need to get into a good college, even though volunteering is a great thing to have on a college application. The characteristics I described above to demonstrate my academic and personal excellence make me a good candidate for induction into National Honor Society because I keep track of when I need to do something or be somewhere and I am always willing to participate in volunteering opportunities. The timeline to appeal is inconsistently stated in two different sections of the WellCare Medicaid Provider Manual. In Section 5, the manual states that claim payment disputes must be submitted to WellCare in writing within one year of the date of the denial of the EOP. In Section 7, the Manual states that Providers have 90 calendar days from the original utilization management or claim denial to file a provider appeal. Important to both of these provisions is that the appeal time period does not commence until an EOP or claim denial is received by the Hospital. In this case, the only written notice the Hospital appears to have received from WellCare discussing its adjustment of the claim is the April 25, 2013 ERA. The ERA, however, showed no denied charges, but instead purported (incorrectly) to pay the entire claim at the contract rate. This is consistent with the verbal information provided by WellCare s representatives that the claim had not been denied. Accordingly, the appeal time period never started to run because no claim denial was sent to the Hospital, and as such, the Hospital s appeals were timely
  • 8. An Analysis of Communication Flow An Analysis of Communication Flow Introduction Dennnis Tourish and Owen Hargie (2004, p. 132) argue that communication is still regarded as something that managers do to their subordinates; they drop information like depth charges on to those employees submerged in the organisational ocean but make it very clear that they do not expect to receive any feedback torpedoes in return. While their assessment may certainly be understandable, it is by no means the last and final word on workplace communication. On the contrary, maintaining a healthy flow of communication in the workplace is essential for optimal working conditions and communication can be seen as a two way street. This paper will show how it is possible to have a flowing exchange of information between managers and subordinates by eliminating intimidating factors and opening avenues to positive exchange. Allowing for Upward Flow As any general manager will testify, it is often his or her responsibility to oversea all areas of the business including, but not limited to, sales, engineering, finance, purchasing, production, customer service, marketing, and employee morale. This last element may seem minor in comparison to more fiscal concerns but it is one that can directly affect those same fiscal elements. Therefore, it is essential that there be an open flow of communication between a manager and his/her employees. If there is any dissatisfaction, good news, bad news, or important information, it must

This story takes place within the Biblical book of Esher, between the years of 486 465 BCE. It is commonly known that King Xerxes of Persia relied too much on his advisors. However, it often disagreed if Xerxes should have invited Queen Vasti to attended, as he had was drunk from the festival. Some believe Vasti should have listened to Xerxes when he called her. While other argue that the Queen should not have acknowledged the King when he ordered her. Queen Vasti should not have listened to King Xerxes for three principle reasons: Xerxes was drunk, Vasti may have believed Xerxes would not punish her, and it was God s providence for Esther to become queen. The first reason that Queen Vasti should not have heard out King Xerxes commands are because Xerxes and his friends were drunk. In his drunkenness, and often when he was sober as well, Xerxes did not trust his own conscience. Instead he relied too much on his advisors. Usually causing unfavorable outcomes due to the King s neglect of the situation. Moreover , the King did not truly need Vasti at this moment, rather he just wished to show her off. Vasti may have noticed this and decided not to her unnecessary presence to the drunk King and his friends. Additionally, the Queen grew tired of Xerxes being a drunkened mess. Thus, she considered herself worthy of a break. The second

It is the most important regulatory agency in the U.S. monetary system and is usually considered the monetary authority. The Fed has several responsibilities and performs several functions. There are a few theories documented that challenge whether or not the Federal Reserve System exists the way it is defined. The Fed was created by Congress to help promote a safe and sound monetary and financial system for our nation. The Fed was established by the Federal Reserve Act, signed on December 13, 1913, by President Woodrow Wilson. The Federal Reserve Act states in its opening paragraph An Act To provide for the establishment of Federal reserve banks, to furnish an elastic currency, to afford means of rediscounting commercial paper, to establish a more effective supervision of banking in the United States, and for other purposes. Some medical theories concerning the origin of werewolves are based around porphyria which is a disease that effects the skin and nervous system, the same disease linked to the vampire myth. Some victims of porphyria display the fang canine look caused by the corrosion of the gums. Furthermore, following exposure to light, the healing blisters on the skin often grow a thin layer of hair (The Brain Bank North West 2012). Not saying that they were anywhere near of falling behind, but with how they wrote and spoke it was evident and clear to me that they were in the second grade. Lastly, the characteristics from the students were shown often with the students being very active in their studies but also with their peers. Both of my students were socially competent and enjoyed doing challenging skills. For example, one of my students loved to practice their money skills and count coins whereas my other student liked to practice the maps of countries and states. Little things like this have taught me that you don t always have to be over the top and extravagant with assignments for the students. Simply putting the alphabet, vocabulary words, maps, times table and money on the wall will trigger and push them to want to learn more about it. I know from experience when I was in the second grade, my teacher was from India and he had word walls that contained multiple ways to say Hello in other languages. This intrigued me to want to
  • 25. Self-Schemat Lizabeth And Novak The concept from the article from the reading this week that I have chosen to focus on is the concept of Self Schemata (Lizabeth and Novak, 214 2014). This concept was very hard to grasp while reading and discussing what the authors were talking about. Self Schemata from what I can conceive is what one person thinks on themselves. It is past memories and experiences that one has that helps shape how they view themselves as a whole (Lizabeth and Novak, 2014). The authors did their best at explaining this conceptby using a bunch of different instructions at the beginning of this section. While reading the instructions there are no indications of what the instructions are for or why you are doing them due to how vague they are. For example one task states, The process is as easy as it is enjoyable.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Reading these there is no telling what they are asking for. If you know that something makes you angry you most likely try and avoid that certain situation. Due to the fact that you have a schema of that certain thing and how it makes you feel. With Schema you know through past experiences and beliefs what your strengths and weaknesses are. You can tell what is going to make you comfortable and uncomfortable. This concept relates to the course because it is how one s self sees themselves in the world. It is how they know what is to come from them interacting with the world and how they will be affected by it (Lizabeth and Novak,

The Importance of Corporate Social Responsibility in the Brand Image Abstract The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship of the consumer perceptions about the branding of organizations that invest in social responsibility and the consumer behaviour regarding loyalty and willingness in paying a premium price. Reviewing the literature about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Social Performance and Corporate Financial Performance, some questions arise: do consumers understand the efforts made by businesses regarding their social and ethical campaigns? And if so, are consumers willing to pay a higher price for the products and services resulting from these social and ethical campaigns? Are consumers loyal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These differences reside at the abstract level in which the image is created in the consumer mind. Furthermore, there are also different theories for the construction of the brand image. Some of these theories include associations with the product (Keller, 1998), while others take in consideration associations related to the business (Biel, 1993), or the country of origin, or the user image (Aaker, 1996). Initially it was Levy (1959) who conceptualised the concept of brand image. He suggests that products have social and psychological attributes and, as such, consumers develop emotional connections with the brands. For Plummer (1985), the image process formation initiates through the gathering of intrinsic and extrinsic attributes, benefits and consequences that are associated with the brand. According to Faircloth et al (2001), the brand image is a holistic perspective built by all the associations made with the brand. Following this perspective, Ballantyne et al (2006), define brand image as the consumers perception about the brand. As such, it will guide a future development of a possible bound between consumers and organisations that have its highest expression through consumer loyalty, and the willingness of the consumer in paying a premium price. The most complete definition of consumer loyalty is given by Jacoby e Chestnut (1978) that sustain that brand loyalty represents the non random repetition of the buying behaviour of the same brand or group of

A Psychodynamic Treatment Approach Essay Susanna would benefit most from a psychodynamic treatment approach, with a specific emphasis on clarification, confrontation, and interpretation/transference interpretation. As highlighted by McWilliams (1999), recurrent themes emerge within the therapy which constitute the client s internal and external world. With this in mind, Susanna s internal object relations would undoubtedly unfold in the relationship with the therapist. As Susanna evidences a lack of insight, it will be the therapist s responsibility to clarify Susanna s experiences for her. In this view, clarification refers to the reformulation of the patient s verbalizations to convey a more coherent view of what is being communicated. The therapist may want to clarify what it was like in Susanna s household growing up, and gather further information on Susanna s romantic relationships. Clarifying sentiments might include you stated that at times you felt loved by your mother, and hated at other times, but overall do you feel that your mother loves you? While this technique alone will not lead to therapeutic change, it will be essential for helping Susanna develop a rapport with the therapist, and establishing a therapeutic alliance. As borderline pathology is characterized by negative affects, and impulsive, dangerous behavior, the therapist s ability to keep Susanna in treatment will be essential. The therapist can do this by presenting him/herself non judgmentally, as well showing Susanna that s/he is
