Factors to be considered in determining how income and loss should be divided are: (1) a fixed ratio is
easy to apply and it may be an equitable basis in some circumstances; (2) capital balance ratios when
the funds invested in the partnership are considered the most critical factor; and (3) salary allowance
and/or interest allowance coupled with a fixed ratio. This last approach gives specific recognition to
differences that may exist among partners by providing salary allowances for time worked and interest
allowances for capital invested. The net income of $36,000 should be divided equally $18,000 to M.

A Research On Target Behavior
Target Behavior: Jack Winslow is an 8 year old boy in a 1st grade at risk class. He enjoys his daily
classroom jobs and his classmates. Jack has lots of energy and is the smallest in his class. He tries to
engage with his peers but it is usually awkward and unsuccessful. The targeted student is functioning
well academically. There are no deficits in reading and comprehension. He solves math word
problems slowly but works well with computation and number facts. Jack is currently being evaluated
because he constantly blurts out in class when he has something to say. Ms. Gray, his teacher,
complains that he constantly blurts out instead of raising his hand. She has also mentioned that he
calls her name constantly when she does not answer immediately. The inappropriate behavior of
blurting must be changed because these types of interruptions usually get other students off track and
prevent others from engaging fully in class activities. It is important that the antecedents and
consequences that trigger Jacks behavior are addressed. If this inappropriate behavior that Jack display
is not changed, other students will begin to follow his lead and start to blurt out also. Changing the
inappropriate behavior of blurting out, should include strategies that are positive reinforcements to
increase the desirable responses from Jack. Jack should be able to wait for the teacher s response and
ask question when called on. Once this behavior is extinct, Jack should be able to self

Hermia In A Midsummer Night s Dream
William Shakespeare has written many plays, with more characters, storylines, sets and intersecting
plotlines then you can imagine. Have you ever thought of one character in his plays that holds the
sovereignty to carry out the theme of the story? William Shakespeare born in 1564, began his career in
1590. A midsummer night s dream play was written in 1592, a romantic comedy of 4 Athenian lovers.
Hermis young daughter of Egeus Hermia has an unusual starting right from the beginning, which
allows readers to sympathize for the young character. The story starts with the young lady of Athens
who is known as the disobedient daughter of Egeus. She s supposed to marry Demetrius, but she has
fallen in love with Lysander. Hermia could be mistaken ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since she left her ordinary world to marry Lysander, she would now believe he will never leave her.
But as they reach the forest, the lovers get lost and they are very tired so they decide upon resting.
While both young lovers have fallen asleep, Puck comes across them mistaking them for Demetrius
and Helena. Puck puts the love potion in Lysander s eyes thinking he is Demetrius, and Lysander
wakes up he immediately falls in love with Helena. As Hermia wakes up, not only to realize Lysander
left her but has fallen in love with her best friend. Hermia Thou art not by mine eye, Lysander,
found.Mine ear, I thank it, brought me to thy sound, But why unkindly didst thou leave me so?
Lysander Why should he stay, whom love doth press to go? (III. ii. 177 184). Lysander has now
completely forgotten about Hermia. She is in the darkest cave of her journey, the love she ran away for
has now totally forgotten about her and she is indeed very hurt. Hermia (to LYSANDER) What, can
you do me greater harm than hate? Hate me? Wherefore? O me! What news, my love? Am not I
Hermia? Are not you Lysander? I am as fair now as I was erewhile. Since night you loved me. Yet

The Pianist Essay
The Pianist is a cinematic masterpiece by the Polish director Roman Polanski. One of the key ideas
that appear throughout much of the film is that of hope being instrumental in our survival . This idea is
portrayed through Wladyslaw Szpilman, a Polish pianist, as he struggles for survival in Warsaw as
everybody that he once knew and everything that he once had is lost. The idea of hope being
instrumental in our survival is worth learning about as it allows the audience to realise the importance
of hope in todays society and to understand how Polanski uses music to symbolise hope for Szpilman
in the film. Polanski effectively utilises an array of visual and oral text features such as music,
dialogue, and lighting to build further ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is unable to play because he will give himself away so we instead watch his fingers move across
the air above the piano s keys as whilst the sound plays in his head and too the viewer. Throughout the
film we also see Szpilman pretending to play the piano as he taps his finger across his legs. It is
moments such as these that help to maintain Szpilman s willingness to survive by keeping silent, but
also how piano gives fills him with the hope that is instrumental in his survival. In other scenes such
as when a German officer asks Szpilman to play piano for him, and allows him to live because of his
immense talent we begin to realise that Szpilman s hope music, does not only help him to survive
mentally, but also physically as he can share the gift that he has to others. It is also important to note
that Polanski only music by the Polish composer, Chopin is used throughout The Pianist . His sad and
evocative music brings upon a sad mood, yet one with a hint of hope and with this, the director can
more vividly express his ideas a way that dialogue or action cannot.
Another oral feature used throughout the film to express the director s idea of hope being instrumental
to our survival is dialogue. Whilst Szpilman s actions are usually used to express the director s ideas,
there are multiple instances where dialogue is used effectively to express them. In one scene around a
third of the way into the film, Mr. Lipa, a businessman

Biography Of John B. Watson
John B. Watson has been credited for founding the school of behaviourism in 1913, his now renown
lecture given at Columbia University begun the official founding of behaviourism and he became well
known for his Little Albert study that demonstrated how experience rearranged the stimuli that caused
emotional responses such as fear, rage and love. Watson may have founded behaviourism but he paved
the way for many individual functionalists such as Ivan Sechenov, Ivan Pavlov, and Vladimir
Bechterev to make their own contributions to the broader field of psychology. So what is
Behaviourism? Watson insisted that behaviour be psychology s subject of matter and that psychology
s goal was to be the prediction and control of behaviour. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Psychological Journal soon after published his lecture in which history now marks the formal
beginning of the school of behaviourism (Henley, 2014). Watson was not the only one to make a
contribution to Behaviourism many came before and after him.
Ivan Sechenov was the founder of Russian objective psychology (psychology that insists on studying
only those things that are directly measurable) (Henley, 2014), he studied medicine and sought to
explain all psychic phenomena on the basis of associationism and materialism, he strongly denied that
thoughts cause behaviour, he insisted external stimulation causes all behaviour (Henley, 2014, p. 370).
He also introduced the important concept of inhibition in his book Reflexes of the Brain.
Ivan Petrovich Pavlov obtained his degree on natural science and medicine, and continued on to study
physiology. His main interest was the digestive system, and his studies lead him to discover
conditioned reflex. Pavlov realised conditioned reflexes could be explained by the associative
principles of contiguity and frequency, organisms responded to the environment in terms of
unconditioned and conditioned reflexes (Henley, 2014, p. 375). Vladimir Bechterev obtained his
doctorate, and worked in the Psychic and Nervous Disease Department. In1904, Bechterev published
an important paper titled Objective Psychology , he argued alongside with Sechenov and Pavlov for a
completely objective psychology, but he directed his focus on the

Architectural buildings around the world make up one factor of the beauty and culture of each country.
The Winter Palace is an incredibly beautiful architectural building in St. Petersburg, Russia. The
Winter Palace consists of great importance politically, culturally, and symbolically in the city s third
century. In 1708, the Winter Palace was first built as a wooden house with a Dutch style to be the
Imperial residence of Peter the Great and his family. In 1711, the wood was replaced by a stone
building. However, in 1731 Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli was assigned to reconstruct the palace
into a much larger and newer design. The third reconstruction of the palace was completed in the year
of 1735. Nevertheless, it only lasted 17 years before Rastrelli was asked again to expand the building
even more. Two years later, he decided to completely rebuild the Winter Palace after the confirmation
of the empress. (saint petersburg.com) Ratrelli s designs for the exterior were in a Baroque style,
which have remained the same till this day. (about eastern europe.com) The Winter Palace takes over
the Palace Square and the south embankment of the Neva River. (saint petersburg.com) In the center
of the palace square, an erection of Alexander on a column is found. The erection of Alexander was

First Wave Feminist Movemnt
First Wave Feminist Movement
Introduction Feminism is considered a political concept. It is an analysis of why and how women are
oppressed. It is a vision of a society where women are liberated and sex role stereotypes are no more.
It is also a conviction that oppression of women is a contradiction in society. Women feminists fought
for their right to not be property, rights to their inheritance, rights to an education and to a religion that
was not patriarchal. Even though feminism had been seen for quite some time, the actual term feminist
was not first used until 1912. The modern feminist movement began a as result of sweeping social,
political and industrial changes in Europe and the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The women were also not content with men making all of the decisions, in all aspects. Women wanted
to be included in positions of decision making. The beginning of the women movement in America
can be marked by the Seneca Falls Convention in July 1848 (DeFonza).
Abolition and Suffrage Aligns Although the alignment was difficult at first, black and white women
formed bonds in the 20th century. They had a common goal of equality for all women. Women of
color continued to participate and representatives such as Ida B. Wells and Mary Church Terrell also
strove to show how the linkage of sexism and racism functioned as the main means of white male
dominance (Krolokke, 4). The first wave of feminism grew out of the major reform movement,
abolitionism (DuBois). The women working in abolition found that they were not allowed to fully and
equally participate in the decision making processes of the movement. In 1869, the Suffrage
movement split into two factions. One was the National Woman Suffrage Association, which was
more radical and would not compromise on the issue of black men s suffrage; meaning that both men
and women should be granted suffrage at the same time. It was seen that the best way to get the vote
would be through a constitutional amendment. The other was the American Woman

Essence of Korean Studies in our Local Universities
I feel that Korea needs no introduction. Friends who have visited say their stay could only be equated
to that of being in outer space. It is remarkably extraordinary. I look forward to proving the veracity of
the statement once I visit in the near future. However with my limited knowledge, the Korea I know is
one resilient and self driven nation. It has gone through thick and thin to emerge as the 12th largest
trading nation and its influence is vast and far reaching. In recent years, we have seen Korea emerge
not only as an influential nation but as a world super power. To qualify as a member of the G 20 is no
mean fit. In 2010 we witnessed the country host the G 20 summit where the leaders of the twenty most
powerful nations converged ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Chaser By John Collier
Each story is unique in their own way. For each piece of literature, a name is to be branded for the
piece of work. Titles are more often than none looked over, the reader anxious to flip through the
pages of words. However, for some pieces of literature, the title of the story is the most fundamental
part of the process in trying to understand a story. The short story The Chaser by John Collier is an
excellent example as to why overlooking the title can be a great taboo. This story describes a desperate
man s attempts to make the love of his life love him back by a love potion. However, through the lines
of the text, the old potion seller was hinting that further on in his consumer s life, he would realize he

The Cation Exchange Gel Samples
The cation exchange gel samples are labelled IEX 19 22 as these were the tubes with the highest
activity as shown in the above table. The other IEX fractions had significantly lower specific activities
so were less likely to contain the protein of interest and more likely to contain unwanted proteins than
the higher specific activity fractions. Only the higher specific activity fractions were chosen for this
reason. All the fractions that were analysed by gel electrophoresis have the same banding patterns
which means that they can be combined to get a combined total for the yield calculations. This has
then been used to calculate the amount that there would have been if the entire solution was used for
this process. However, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is seen in the gel electrophoresis where there is a greater number of bands for dye 9 11 than there
is for the IEX tubes. The fold purification was expected to be between 3 7 fold as found on the
BRENDA web page (2017), for this experiment a 1.4 fold (492404/349710) increase in activity was
seen after dye ligand chromatography. The retrospective yield was like cation exchange which also
gave an impossible result considering the after dialysis yield. It is difficult to say which yield is more
accurate. The after dialysis yield measured may be lower than its true value or the error created by
averaging the different tubes and treating them as if the entire sample has overestimated the amount of
LDH present. Although there are more bands on the gel there is a lower retrospective total protein for
dye ligand than there is for cation exchange 43.2 mg and 55.9 mg respectively. This could indicate that
although there is a greater number of bands the ratio of LDH to unwanted proteins may be higher. This
technique has gotten rid of the band that was present in cation exchange but has different bands
present which shows that the two purification techniques are targeting LDH in different ways.
Affinity chromatography relies on the protein ability to bind to specific molecules tightly but not
covalently. This technique uses a ligand bound to the matrix that is capable of specifically binding to
the protein. When the impure solution is passed through the

Systematic Review Paper
Abstract
Traditionally, systematic reviews (SR) are descriptive secondary research, which may or may not be
accompanied by statistical methods (metaanalysis) of pooling the results of primary, quantitative
studies to answer a clinical question or test a hypothesis (Chalmers 1996). Similarly, qualitative
primary studies can be pooled and synthesised in order to develop new theories to aid decision
making, re shape policies, and influence professional practices. Over the past 20 years, patient and
public involvement (PPI) in research have become increasingly crucial, which has fuelled the
increasing popularity of qualitative research as better ways of incorporating public and patient views
into health, social and economic policies. There is however a confusing array of methods available for
conducting secondary qualitative research. In this paper epistemological concepts guiding a number of
methods are discussed. The consensus on enhancing transparency in reporting the synthesis of
qualitative research (ENTREQ) is also reviewed
Introduction
Synthesis of qualitative data has never been as popular as meta analysis. It is however becoming an
increasingly useful secondary research tool in a diverse area of problem solutions, ranging from
leadership and management problems (Walsh 2005; Galuska 2012), sociology (Wilder 2014) to
clinical research questions (Beck 2002; Kennedy et al. 2003 and Orri 2014). Secondary research could
be part of a course work, dissertation or thesis,

business using the business of a corporation in following ways from the listed content. Also,
advantages and disadvantages of these two structure will be compared.

1. Objectives
There are some differences between the objectives of the structures of partnership and a corporation.
Firstly, intention of a partnership is making a profit. Partnership is the relation which maintain running
a business between persons with a same goal of profit and includes an incorporated limited
partnership. However, the relation between the person who was involved in the company or league is
either incorporated under the Corporations Law or abide by one of following laws the Act of
Parliament, letter patent or Royal Charter is not a partnership this Act meaning for. In terms of a
corporation, it is not only confined in its objectives of profit but also more than for profit. In addition,

In Vitro Fertilization Is Ethical
Making someone else s baby Surrogate mothers carry another couple s child with her own eggs or
fertilized eggs from other women. Surrogate motherhood is unethical and needs to be banned due to
the fact that reproductive technologies are inhuman and a form of violence therefore, as surrogacy
becomes more popular, legal problems proliferate. Reproductive technologies such as In Vitro
Fertilization and surrogacy are a form of violence against women because they technologically ravage
women s bodies. In Vitro Fertilization is a medical procedure that s done where an egg is fertilized by

In one case a gay couple were able to purchase eggs for a surrogate mother for two newborns(Devine
1). Here is where commercial surrogacy causes the children to be at risk. There is no guarantee that
pedophiles will not be able to buy and raise their victims, since there is a egg and sperm donor. No one
with a physical link can protect the child due to lack of natural nurturing links put the child at a greater
risk of abuse(Devine 1) . There are many questions from everyone, What if these people do not have
the right intentions? How do we know the surrogate mother will take care of the baby until they are
born? Questions that go through everyone s head all the time. If you have to worry about these
questions or just be unsure of it then it should be illegal. people who are unsure about drugs, or a new
medication they should take makes them double guess it. Most of the time if they have to double guess
it, they do not do it. The ultimate horror of the 21st century science is that if you have enough money
you can buy a helpless newborn baby and do whatever they liked to with it in the privacy of their own
home. There is nothing nobody can do to stop it(Devine 2). Commercial surrogacy is not something
people should not turn to when looking for a child for whatever reasons they may have. If people were
to think about it, like they do not know the surrogate mother. The surrogate mother doesn t get a
background check nor does the family getting the baby. So literally anyone with the money can get
this child. They could possibly harm the child but yet no one will never know. At least with adoption
agencies they look into families background and make sure they are fit to raise someone else s child.
There has been some cases where famous people have turned to surrogacy such as Michael Jackson.

Effects Of Smoking On Children s Health
Smoking causes serious damage to person s health. This section look at the cost smoking have on
government, most notably, the cost of smoking to the NHS such as prescription costs and the cost of
the stop smoking campaigns which puts an substantial deficit for the NHS budget. A report published
by Health Social Care Information Centre revealed that the illness and disease associated with
smoking gives rise to costs in the NHS (Eastwood, P Head, S 2013). The costs of smoking can be
categorised into direct and indirect. The direct costs of smoking is the cost of smoking arise from GP
consultations, prescriptions for drugs and various costs related to treating diseases attributed to
smoking. The indirect cost of smoking would be the psychological impact of smoking in children and
other family members, the effect of smoking in employment and social exclusion and isolated
resulting from smoking. Research carried out by Oxford University (2009) estimated that smoking
costs of NHS in UK was £5.2 billion in 2005 which was approximately 5.5% of the total healthcare
costs. It is important to consider that this cost does not take into account the costs related to working
days lost or social security ill health payments and most importantly the cost related to effects of
second hand smoking.
There are three main pharmacotherapies prescribed for the treatment of smoking dependence in UK,
which are Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), Bupropion (Zyban) and Varenicline (Champix). The

Taking a Look at Capital Structure
LITERATURE REVIEW
Literature Review:
Rao (2001) made an attempt to explain the variation of capital structure across industries in India
during pre and post liberalization regime and also examine if there is any significant change in
average industry level capital structure during post liberalization regime. The study is based on
industry wise data of 85 industries in manufacturing sector the results shows that there has been
significant decrease in leverage during post liberalization regime and there has been change in set of
explanatory variables for capital structure. The most significant explanatory variables for capital
structure during pre liberalization regime were the measure of profitability, risk and asset type. During
post liberalization regime measure of profitability, growth and asset type were the most significant
variables.
Bhaduri (2002) studied the capital structure choice in developing countries through a case study of
Indian corporate sector, for the period 1989 90 to 1994 95, based on a sample of 363 firms across nine
industries. The author has reported optimal capital structure choice is influenced by factors such as
growth, cash flow size and product industry and characteristics.

Some well known keyboard players include Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy. A
popular keyboard that is still used today is the organ. The organ ranges in size from a small closet to

Air is pushed through pipes to make the many sounds that can be played on a pipe organ. (Raeburn

eighty eight keys with seven octaves plus a few keys. According to Musical , sound is made by
hammers that strike the strings to vibrate them ( Musical ). The harpsichord was the precursor to the
piano. Instead of hitting the strings, the harpsichord would pluck them to make a more metallic sound.
The spinet was a small upright piano that is similar to the harpsichord. Another instrument is the
virginal. Like the spinet, it is also similar to the harpsichord ( Elizabethan ). Keyboards were and still

The Theme of Hubris in Ancient Greek Mythology and Literature
Hubris is a very popular theme in Greek mythology. Hubris was a very important moral concept to the
Greeks. Committing hubris was a very serious crime. Hubris is defined as having extreme pride or
arrogance. Pride became hubris when it became all consuming or hurtful to others. Other actions that
were seen as hubris were acting as if you were equal or more powerful than the gods, or trying to defy
them. Hubris was a severe crime that deserved a serious punishment, and it was the downfall of many
characters in ancient myths. The importance of Hubris to the Greeks is made obvious by how often it
appears as a main theme in their myths. Three stories that show examples of hubris are Oedipus The
King, Antigone, and The Story of Phaethon in Ovid s Metamorphoses. The theme of hubris can be
seen throughout Oedipus The King, and is the reason for the downfall of more than one character.
Oedipus parents, are the first to commit hubris; instead of letting destiny take its course, they acted as
if they were more powerful. They attempted to destroy their child and change their fate. Oedipus
adoptive parents also commit hubris, as they lie to him about his past. Like his parents, Oedipus
believes that he can change his own destiny. His hubris leads to him being irrational, and jumping to
conclusions without first analyzing things. This is what leads him to eventually kill his biological
father. Oedipus might have been able to save his biological mother s life, had he not been too

Puritan Influence On American Society
Throughout the 1600s, the New England colonies developed rapidly in many aspects. The
development of the colonies was greatly affected by the Puritans, a group of English Reformed
Protestants hoping to model a perfect Christian society. Their ideas, values, and philosophies played a
huge role in the political, economic, and social development of New England colonies. As far as
political influence, the Puritans representative government would later impact the establishment of the
governing system still in place today. Economically, the idea of a part to whole ratio for Puritan
communities in society was recreated throughout the colonies. Beliefs in good morals, hard work
ethics, and education influenced social development. Many different ideas ... Show more content on

Puritans believed in the significance of core values and a strong emphasis on education. In a statement
about education in New England in 1643, education was important in order to train new church
ministers. Harvard College was established for this purpose, as well as to improve magistrates and
ministers literacy to better understand the Bible. The creation of this major college affected the
development of education in other New England colonies. Shortly thereafter, every town was required
to provide a school of literacy. Another important social Puritan belief was the idea of transmitting
religious views to future generations. This began the mass spread of Christianity amongst the colonies.
The Enlarged Salem Covenant of 1636 demonstrates the Puritans dedication to the church as they
remain obedient to the church s regulations: We bind ourselves to study the advancement of the gospel
in all truth and peace; both in regard of those that are within or without [church membership].
Exhibiting good morals set in place by the church was a huge aspect in the daily Puritan lifestyle.
Social development in New England occurred rapidly based on the values implemented in the Puritan
society. The development of the New England colonies is credited to the influence of the Puritan
lifestyle. The importance of education, work ethic, community, and moral values planted seeds in the
minds of future American

Industrial Age Vs Renaissance Research Paper
The Industrial Age and the Renaissance are both a time in history that has change throughout the years
of development. When you hear about the Industrial Age you think about the modern world and what
kind of new goods are being produced. The Renaissance was a stepping stone toward the modern
world. Both, the Industrial Age and the Renaissance have extreme differences, but they still hold some
similarities in both time periods. The Industrial Age is a time of change in the economic and social
organizations beginning in 1760. There was mass production, broadcasting began, the running of
electricity became more developed, new medicine to cure certain illnesses, and running water was
made usable. The Renaissance showed their importance through ... Show more content on

It changed for the better in the sense of increasing the water and steam driven machinery, which
allowed for the cost of clothing materials to be lowered. Railroads were being made better along with
other consumer goods. The people started new cultural institutions to better reading and learning. This
is when the first novels and stories were first published. The Industrial Revolution had a lot of
materialism with the material production and machines produced by scientists and industrial
technologist. The Victorian Age is the most popular time in the materialism progress. There were
rising standards of living and technological advances being made everyday. The first telegraph cable
connection was made between Europe and North America. Also, sanitation began to be taking place in
homes, offices, and businesses so that it was possible for the next step, the vaccines, to be made
available to kill illnesses and more germs. A difference between the Industrial Age and the
Renaissance is the architecture. Where the Renaissance used stone and brick and the Industrial Age
started using iron and glass panels that were pre made ready to be put together. With this advancement
it made putting buildings, homes and offices together much quicker and easier. The next big
monumental piece of art is the Eiffel Tower in Paris made by Gustave Eiffel from cast and iron. The
art in the Industrial Age is different in the sense of detail in the oil canvases. There were much more
building, people, color, and action taking place. The Industrial Age had a lot more building
advancements then the Renaissance

Psychology Of Emma Case Study
Introduction The brain at a young age is a powerful soft organ that develops as the body grows. It
coordinates the center of sensation, intellectuality and the nervous activity. With time it s a wonderful
muscle that we can use for multiple talents and goals. As adults we can store wonderful memories,
important dates and experiences that we had as children. Unfortunately not all children get to develop
a healthy state of mind or store wonderful memories. As children we are naïve about the powerful
brain and its delicacy. It doesn t come as a surprise when we realize that not even the skull can protect
a child s developing brain from a sudden interruption such as abuse, trauma or stress. Children have

Breaking Bad Research Papers
I have developed an endless runner game for smartphones and tablets based on the hit television show,
Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad tells the story of Walter White, an ordinary chemistry teacher who finds
out that he has cancer and Jesse Pinkman, a local street gangster who befriends Walter. Both Walter
and Jesse decides to produce methamphetamine in order for Walter to pay for his medical bills and
support his family. With the added advantage of Walter s knowledge in chemistry, their product takes
off and they both turn to a life of crime and encounter dangerous events that changes their lives
forever. They come across various psychopaths. A mad drug lord named Tuco Salamanca, a no
nonsense authoritarian like meth distributor called Gustavo Fring and a white supremacist gang. As
Walter White gets into various criminal activities, he puts his life and his family s life in danger.
My concept for the game is a platform based endless runner for smartphones and tablets, not to be
confused for an endless runner in the third person perspective. The game will have the two main
characters playable at the start, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. As one progresses in game, they will
be able to unlock other characters such as Walter s brother in law Hank, Gustavo Fring, the iconic RV
from the show, Heisenberg (Walt s clandestine alias) and Saul Goodman, their lawyer who uses
unorthodox ways to get Walt and Jesse out of legal trouble. The reason I decided to make only two

Chlorine is the single largest contributor to safe drinking water, in the history of public health.
(J.Salzman, 2012). In 1902 the first chlorine disinfection system was installed in Belgium. By the
1920 s nearly the whole world started using the process (HealthLinkBC, 2014). Due to this
disinfection process many disease causing microorganisms were abolished.
The filtration of drinking water plus the use of chlorine is probably the most significant public health
advancement of the millennium (Water Quality and Health, 2002)

The research from this report shows that the advantages of chlorination as a disinfection outweighs its
disadvantages. Chlorination still remains the best disinfection process for our drinking water even
though it has some long term health concerns. Due to a lack of evidence it can be concluded to be the
best disinfection process for our drinking water supply. No other alternative can match up to it, but as
the technology is getting more advanced, in the future there may be a completely new system to

Ancient Egyptian Beliefs On The Afterlife And Burial Rituals
The Egyptian beliefs on the afterlife and burial rituals derived from the story of Osiris, the god of the
underworld. In this story Osiris was killed by his brother Seth out of jealousy. Seth cut Osiris into
pieces and scattered them across the land. Osiris s sister gathered his body parts and brought him back
to life, but Osiris was incomplete. He was missing a body part. Because of this Osiris could no longer
rule on Earth so he was cast to the underworld. This story became deeply rooted in the Egyptian
culture. This brought about some of the earlier gods and their central belief on there being a life after
death. They also then believed that you could only have immortality, if your body was whole and you
were buried with every part of your body. These beliefs made the burial rituals of the Ancient
Egyptians quite serious and meaningful. These first burial rituals date back to the Pre Dynastic Period.
. Beginning Burial Rituals Ancient Egyptian graves date back to the Pre Dynastic Period (5000 3100
B.C.). In this time period when someone was buried they weren t mummified. These prehistoric
burials were rectangular or oval shaped pits dug out of the desert sand. The bodies were then inserted
into the ground usually in a fetal position, lying on their left side. The bodies of the dead were either
placed to face the sun rise or the sun set. In each grave the bodies were accompanied by grave goods
and food offerings for their next destination. This inclined the idea that

West Hendon Regeneration Scheme
The London Borough of Barnet Council sought to acquire the subject land, and the new rights over it,
in order to facilitate the regeneration of the West Hendon Estate and its immediate surroundings. The
scheme aims to provide; up to 2,000 residential dwellings, a new primary school, a community
facility, commercial units, and improved infrastructure in the area. The proposal is intended to provide
significant social, economic and environmental improvements for existing residents (The London
Borough of Barnet Council, 2014). It is to be delivered by Barratt Metropolitan LLP, a partnership of
Barratt London and Metropolitan Housing Trust, forming part of the wider Brent Cross Cricklewood
regeneration area, although being progressed independently.
The West Hendon regeneration scheme was identified in 2001 when the Decent Homes programme
required local authorities to offer residents a certain standard of housing. The West Hendon estate
failed to meet these standards, and after consideration of options, it was agreed that regeneration
would be the best way to achieve these. The Council s Core Strategy designates the Estate as one of
the Priority Housing Estates, requiring redevelopment and regeneration to meet these Decent Homes
Standards, with the proposal ultimately resulting in the complete demolition of existing buildings
within the Estate. The required area of land was defined and referenced as to land ownership and
occupation. The scheme has been split into development

  • 3. A Research On Target Behavior Target Behavior: Jack Winslow is an 8 year old boy in a 1st grade at risk class. He enjoys his daily classroom jobs and his classmates. Jack has lots of energy and is the smallest in his class. He tries to engage with his peers but it is usually awkward and unsuccessful. The targeted student is functioning well academically. There are no deficits in reading and comprehension. He solves math word problems slowly but works well with computation and number facts. Jack is currently being evaluated because he constantly blurts out in class when he has something to say. Ms. Gray, his teacher, complains that he constantly blurts out instead of raising his hand. She has also mentioned that he calls her name constantly when she does not answer immediately. The inappropriate behavior of blurting must be changed because these types of interruptions usually get other students off track and prevent others from engaging fully in class activities. It is important that the antecedents and consequences that trigger Jacks behavior are addressed. If this inappropriate behavior that Jack display is not changed, other students will begin to follow his lead and start to blurt out also. Changing the inappropriate behavior of blurting out, should include strategies that are positive reinforcements to increase the desirable responses from Jack. Jack should be able to wait for the teacher s response and ask question when called on. Once this behavior is extinct, Jack should be able to self ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Hermia In A Midsummer Night s Dream William Shakespeare has written many plays, with more characters, storylines, sets and intersecting plotlines then you can imagine. Have you ever thought of one character in his plays that holds the sovereignty to carry out the theme of the story? William Shakespeare born in 1564, began his career in 1590. A midsummer night s dream play was written in 1592, a romantic comedy of 4 Athenian lovers. Hermis young daughter of Egeus Hermia has an unusual starting right from the beginning, which allows readers to sympathize for the young character. Puck puts the love potion in Lysander s eyes thinking he is Demetrius, and Lysander wakes up he immediately falls in love with Helena. As Hermia wakes up, not only to realize Lysander left her but has fallen in love with her best friend. Hermia Thou art not by mine eye, Lysander, found.Mine ear, I thank it, brought me to thy sound, But why unkindly didst thou leave me so? Lysander Why should he stay, whom love doth press to go? (III. ii. 177 184). Lysander has now completely forgotten about Hermia. She is in the darkest cave of her journey, the love she ran away for has now totally forgotten about her and she is indeed very hurt. Hermia (to LYSANDER) What, can you do me greater harm than hate? Hate me? Wherefore? O me! What news, my love? Am not I Hermia? Are not you Lysander? I am as fair now as I was erewhile. Since night you loved me. Yet since the night you left me. • 5. The Pianist Essay The Pianist is a cinematic masterpiece by the Polish director Roman Polanski. One of the key ideas that appear throughout much of the film is that of hope being instrumental in our survival . This idea is portrayed through Wladyslaw Szpilman, a Polish pianist, as he struggles for survival in Warsaw as everybody that he once knew and everything that he once had is lost. The idea of hope being instrumental in our survival is worth learning about as it allows the audience to realise the importance of hope in todays society and to understand how Polanski uses music to symbolise hope for Szpilman in the film. Polanski effectively utilises an array of visual and oral text features such as music, dialogue, and lighting to build further ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He is unable to play because he will give himself away so we instead watch his fingers move across the air above the piano s keys as whilst the sound plays in his head and too the viewer. Throughout the film we also see Szpilman pretending to play the piano as he taps his finger across his legs. It is moments such as these that help to maintain Szpilman s willingness to survive by keeping silent, but also how piano gives fills him with the hope that is instrumental in his survival. In other scenes such as when a German officer asks Szpilman to play piano for him, and allows him to live because of his immense talent we begin to realise that Szpilman s hope music, does not only help him to survive mentally, but also physically as he can share the gift that he has to others. It is also important to note that Polanski only music by the Polish composer, Chopin is used throughout The Pianist . His sad and evocative music brings upon a sad mood, yet one with a hint of hope and with this, the director can more vividly express his ideas a way that dialogue or action cannot. Another oral feature used throughout the film to express the director s idea of hope being instrumental to our survival is dialogue. Whilst Szpilman s actions are usually used to express the director s ideas, there are multiple instances where dialogue is used effectively to express them. In one scene around a third of the way into the film, Mr. Lipa, a businessman ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Biography Of John B. Watson John B. Watson has been credited for founding the school of behaviourism in 1913, his now renown lecture given at Columbia University begun the official founding of behaviourism and he became well known for his Little Albert study that demonstrated how experience rearranged the stimuli that caused emotional responses such as fear, rage and love. Watson may have founded behaviourism but he paved the way for many individual functionalists such as Ivan Sechenov, Ivan Pavlov, and Vladimir Bechterev to make their own contributions to the broader field of psychology. Watson was not the only one to make a contribution to Behaviourism many came before and after him. Ivan Sechenov was the founder of Russian objective psychology (psychology that insists on studying only those things that are directly measurable) (Henley, 2014), he studied medicine and sought to explain all psychic phenomena on the basis of associationism and materialism, he strongly denied that thoughts cause behaviour, he insisted external stimulation causes all behaviour (Henley, 2014, p. 370). He also introduced the important concept of inhibition in his book Reflexes of the Brain. Ivan Petrovich Pavlov obtained his degree on natural science and medicine, and continued on to study physiology. His main interest was the digestive system, and his studies lead him to discover conditioned reflex. Pavlov realised conditioned reflexes could be explained by the associative principles of contiguity and frequency, organisms responded to the environment in terms of unconditioned and conditioned reflexes (Henley, 2014, p. 375). Vladimir Bechterev obtained his doctorate, and worked in the Psychic and Nervous Disease Department. In1904, Bechterev published an important paper titled Objective Psychology , he argued alongside with Sechenov and Pavlov for a completely objective psychology, but he directed his focus on the ... • 8. First Wave Feminist Movemnt First Wave Feminist Movement Introduction Feminism is considered a political concept. It is an analysis of why and how women are oppressed. It is a vision of a society where women are liberated and sex role stereotypes are no more. It is also a conviction that oppression of women is a contradiction in society. Women feminists fought for their right to not be property, rights to their inheritance, rights to an education and to a religion that was not patriarchal. Even though feminism had been seen for quite some time, the actual term feminist was not first used until 1912. The women were also not content with men making all of the decisions, in all aspects. Women wanted to be included in positions of decision making. The beginning of the women movement in America can be marked by the Seneca Falls Convention in July 1848 (DeFonza). Abolition and Suffrage Aligns Although the alignment was difficult at first, black and white women formed bonds in the 20th century. They had a common goal of equality for all women. Women of color continued to participate and representatives such as Ida B. Wells and Mary Church Terrell also strove to show how the linkage of sexism and racism functioned as the main means of white male dominance (Krolokke, 4). The first wave of feminism grew out of the major reform movement, abolitionism (DuBois). The women working in abolition found that they were not allowed to fully and equally participate in the decision making processes of the movement. In 1869, the Suffrage movement split into two factions. One was the National Woman Suffrage Association, which was more radical and would not compromise on the issue of black men s suffrage; meaning that both men and women should be granted suffrage at the same time. It was seen that the best way to get the vote would be through a constitutional amendment. The other was the American Woman ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is remarkably extraordinary. I look forward to proving the veracity of the statement once I visit in the near future. However with my limited knowledge, the Korea I know is one resilient and self driven nation. It has gone through thick and thin to emerge as the 12th largest trading nation and its influence is vast and far reaching. In recent years, we have seen Korea emerge not only as an influential nation but as a world super power. To qualify as a member of the G 20 is no mean fit. Only the higher specific activity fractions were chosen for this reason. Although there are more bands on the gel there is a lower retrospective total protein for dye ligand than there is for cation exchange 43.2 mg and 55.9 mg respectively. This could indicate that although there is a greater number of bands the ratio of LDH to unwanted proteins may be higher. This technique has gotten rid of the band that was present in cation exchange but has different bands present which shows that the two purification techniques are targeting LDH in different ways. Affinity chromatography relies on the protein ability to bind to specific molecules tightly but not covalently. This technique uses a ligand bound to the matrix that is capable of specifically binding to the protein. When the impure solution is passed through the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Systematic Review Paper Abstract Traditionally, systematic reviews (SR) are descriptive secondary research, which may or may not be accompanied by statistical methods (metaanalysis) of pooling the results of primary, quantitative studies to answer a clinical question or test a hypothesis (Chalmers 1996). Similarly, qualitative primary studies can be pooled and synthesised in order to develop new theories to aid decision making, re shape policies, and influence professional practices. Over the past 20 years, patient and public involvement (PPI) in research have become increasingly crucial, which has fuelled the increasing popularity of qualitative research as better ways of incorporating public and patient views into health, social and economic policies. There is however a confusing array of methods available for conducting secondary qualitative research. In this paper epistemological concepts guiding a number of methods are discussed. The consensus on enhancing transparency in reporting the synthesis of qualitative research (ENTREQ) is also reviewed Introduction Synthesis of qualitative data has never been as popular as meta analysis. It is however becoming an increasingly useful secondary research tool in a diverse area of problem solutions, ranging from leadership and management problems (Walsh 2005; Galuska 2012), sociology (Wilder 2014) to clinical research questions (Beck 2002; Kennedy et al. 2003 and Orri 2014). Oedipus parents, are the first to commit hubris; instead of letting destiny take its course, they acted as if they were more powerful. They attempted to destroy their child and change their fate. Oedipus adoptive parents also commit hubris, as they lie to him about his past. Like his parents, Oedipus believes that he can change his own destiny. In this story Osiris was killed by his brother Seth out of jealousy. Seth cut Osiris into pieces and scattered them across the land. Osiris s sister gathered his body parts and brought him back to life, but Osiris was incomplete. He was missing a body part. Because of this Osiris could no longer rule on Earth so he was cast to the underworld. This story became deeply rooted in the Egyptian culture. This brought about some of the earlier gods and their central belief on there being a life after death. They also then believed that you could only have immortality, if your body was whole and you were buried with every part of your body. These beliefs made the burial rituals of the Ancient Egyptians quite serious and meaningful. These first burial rituals date back to the Pre Dynastic Period. .
