Essay about Campbell Soup Company Audit
Campbell Soup Company
Background
Campbell was founded shortly before the start of the Civil War. Abraham Anderson and Joseph
Campbell began manufacturing canned vegetables and fruit preserves. In 1976, Campbell bought
out Anderson s interest and renamed the firm the Joseph Campbell Preserving Company. Later,
Arthur Dorrance was Campbell s new partner. In the early 1920s, John Dorrance, Arthur Dorrance s
nephew, was the sole owner of the Campbell Soup Company, which was the largest producer of
canned soup products. Unfortunately, as the twentieth century was coming to a close, the nation s
appetite for condensed soup products was waning. The weakening demand prompted the company s
executives to use an assortment of questionable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These practices are trade loading, improper accounting for loading discounts, shipping to the yard,
and guaranteed sales.
Trade Loading
Campbell offered sizable trade discounts near the end of accounting period to entice customers
to make product purchases that they would otherwise defer. By this way, a company can use
price concessions to prop up its reported revenues and profits. Plaintiffs pointed out that PwC
auditors were aware of the excessive trade loading by their client and this should have been a red
flag for PwC to investigate the possibility that their client was fraudulently misrepresenting its
operating results. The judge agree with the plaintiffs that PwC s workpapers revealed the firm
was aware of Campbell s disproportionately sales near the end of quarterly reporting periods.
However, the he disagreed with the assertion that PwC should have considered those heavy sales a
red flag. Instead, he pointed out that PwC s workpapers referred to the large, period ending sales
as a traditional trend in Campbell s operating results.
This traditional trend may apply to Campbell s business environment, but may not to other industry.
An auditor had better understand the industry environment he or she involves in to judge whether
disproportionately sales near the end of quarterly reporting periods are normal or not.
Improper Accounting for Loading Discount
Whether PwC would remain a defendant was whether the audit firm realized that large

A Personal Relationship Can Be A Roller Coaster Ride
A personal relationship can be a roller coaster ride. There are many choices to choose to solve a
conflict. According to Jack Gibb, there are kinds of behavior contribute to defensiveness and the
opposition.
One of Gibb s categories of defensive and supporting behavior is controlled versus problems
orientation. Control can affect relationships. One of the best examples is my relationship with my
eldest sister. My eldest sister is the breadwinner of my family. She is a second mother. However, she
is still my sister. Sometimes, she is controlling. For example, I am doing homework after I
worked. She will command Finish your homework for an hour only and clean the restroom! I will
take a shower after an hour and a half! with her eyes open, tight lipped and pouted lips. The way
she communicated seems to be striking a solution for her needs with less regard to my needs rather
than finding a solution that satisfies our needs. Hence, we fight and argue most of the time. On the
other hand, my mother would command calmly we need to do our household chores on Saturdays
and Sundays when everyone is not busy and tired. My mother created a schedule that will wash
dishes every night. My mother focused on finding solutions that will satisfy everyone s need.
Therefore, my mother will not hear any complaints and arguments around the house.
As I described my relationship with my eldest sister, I understand where she comes from. Her
motive is to be tidy as possible. I have big relatives

Essay On Pet Peeves
Everyone has a pet peeve no matter how weird it can possibly be. Someone could have a pet
peeve of dirty dishes or people who wear beanies. Maybe even of country music. No matter what
people dislike, I m sure some people will be able to accept it and eventually deal with it.
However, the Earth doesn t revolve around those people, so they too need to get over their
ridiculous peeves and just deal with it. I have pet peeves I guess I should get over, but maybe
people should also take heed to them and be aware that I dislike what bothers me. As in, I can t
stand it when people correct me, or don t listen to me, and just say awful things about what I truly
love and am passionate about. I feel that I m a hypocrite for correcting people who get things

frustrates me. Sometimes I correct my friends just to mess with them or play around, or maybe
even help them, but very rarely I correct them with a negative attitude, As in, That s not how you
say it idiot , or You re so stupid for pronouncing it wrong because a lot of my friends know I m a

Personality Theories
Personality Theories
Almost everyday we describe and assess the personalities of the people around us. Whether we
realize it or not, these daily musings on how and why people behave as they do are similar to what
personality psychologists do. Personality psychology looks at the patterns of thoughts, feelings, and
behavior that make a person unique. Some of the best known theories in psychology are devoted to
the subject of personality.

The psychoanalytic view holds that there are inner forces outside of your awareness that are
directing your behavior. For example, a psychoanalyst might say that James misspoke due to
unresolved feelings for his ex or perhaps because of misgivings about his new relationship.
The founder of psychoanalytic theory was Sigmund Freud. While his theories were considered
shocking at the time and continue to create debate and controversy, his work had a profound
influence on a number of disciplines, including psychology, sociology, anthropology, literature, and
art.
The term psychoanalysis is used to refer to many aspects of Freud s work and research, including
Freudian therapy and the research methodology he used to develop his theories. Freud relied
heavily upon his observations and case studies of his patients when he formed his theory of
personality development.
Before we can understand Freud s theory of personality, we must first understand his view of how
the mind is organized.
According to Freud, the mind can be divided into two main parts:
1.The conscious mind includes everything that we are aware of. This is the aspect of our mental
processing that we can think and talk about rationally. A part of this includes our memory, which is
not always part of consciousness but can be retrieved easily at any time and brought into our
awareness. Freud called this ordinary memory the preconscious.
2.The unconscious mind

Art Therapy Informative Essay
Art therapy started in America and Europe in the 1940 s and has spread throughout the world and
now people in all countries are using art therapy. By the 20th century, art therapy was in all
hospitals and mental health facilities after discovering that art therapy really helps people s
emotions. Researchers found that art therapyis important to people because nowadays people don
t want to take medication to be treated instead, they are looking for an alternative therapy. It is
also important to people who don t have the ability to communicate because all they have to do
is draw to express how they are feeling.Art therapy can be used when people are having a hard
time focusing or under stress and don t know how to solve their problems. To use art therapy
people don t have to know how to draw to express their feelings, instead they just draw how they
are feeling and art therapist determines their emotions through what they drew. Art therapy causes
kids and teenager s brains to expand and have caused their thinking to be more creative than
others. Kids who feel let down or don t have any type of encouragement use art therapy because it
boosts their self esteem. Art therapy is really important for people because it relieves... Show more

The Silent Killer Short Story
The Silent Killer
Reginald and Timothy
Let me recount to all of you the tale of Reginald. Reginald was a corporate lawyer based in New
York and lived there with his wife and four children. Reginald s life was rich and full of joy and
happiness. Years went by and Reginald retired with his family and moved to the great state of
Utah. Months later Reginald s wife died of cancer and his children all moved away to start their
futures at college. At that point in time, Reginald found himself completely alone, depressed,
and unable to leave his house without assistance. But why is he depressed? Some would argue
that he lived a successful life and he has no reason to be depressed. While this is true some of the
time what most people don t see what is really going on. Reginald often finds himself stilling
alone day after day with no one visiting him and being unable to leave. Reginald is suffering from
social isolation however this does not just affect the elderly or those who don t have family around.
Let s take a look at Reginald s child Timothy. Timothy moved away to college just a few months
after his mother died. He knows a few people and he does is go to class, comes home, and does

How Is The Short Happy Life Of Francis Macomber
Set on an African Safari in the early 1900s, Ernest Hemingway s The Short Happy Life of Francis
Macomber tells the story of a young man and wife, Francis and Margot Macomber, and their
English guide, Robert Wilson, on a hunting trip gone awry. This essay will show how Hemingway s
character tied into the story itself.
Francis Macomber is described as very tall, very well built... and considered handsome
(Hemingway). He and his wife, Margot, clearly do not have a very healthy relationship, and on
various occasions she flirts heavily with Wilson. This story is quite ironic, as in the title it says
Francis Macomber s life was happy, though throughout the story you can see that it very much
isn t. He seems to be miserable in his relationship with his wife but as later on stated, Margot was
too beautiful for Macomber to divorce, and Macomber had too much money for Margot to ever
leave him (Hemingway). On the topic of irony, it can also be seen as ironic when he is ... Show

Macomber felt utter disgust for Wilson. Every time Wilson spoke, Macomber threw back
daggers for words. It annoyed Wilson, for he was unphased by the fact that Macomber knew
Wilson had been with his wife. He ignored Macomber s harsh words so they could go hunting for
the buffalo. As they drove out, Macomber spotted three large buffalo. Wilson told him, We ll cut
them off before they get to the swamp. They both got their guns ready, where Macomber almost
began to shoot from his position in the car before being shouted at by Wilson. They jumped out of
the vehicle as it came to a bolting stop, aimed, and began shooting. Macomber struck the first one
down, and with the help of Wilson, eventually the other two. Margot was awe struck, telling
Macomber how marvelous he had done. Macomber felt a wild unreasonable happiness that he had

Prayer In Public School Vs. Private Schools And Public...
Prayer in school is a controversial topic of today s time. There are different pros and cons when
it comes to bringing religion into schools. Varying from state to state the court s perspective has
played a major role in the decision of having prayer in schools, as well as the opinions of society.
Understanding that your personal opinion is not the same as everyone else s is important and
others may have different point of views. The controversial topics that give examples for each
position allows you to realize whether you agree or disagree. You could start out with a set
opinion about it, but after reading the different sides and stories it may change your mind. There is
a difference in public schools and private schools that practice prayerin school. If you sign your
child up for a private schooland the handbook states that they allow prayer in school, then you
cannot later go against it. Public schools, on the other hand work for the government so anything
they say goes. Private schools are allowed more freedom and less restriction on prayer in school.
The students in a private school pay tuition, which funds the school. Private schools are known as
independent schools, which means they are non governmental and not administered by local, state
or national government. Students are allowed more freedom of religionand allowed to express their
religious beliefs more openly(Prayer in School Pros and Cons List, NYLN).
Public schools are ran and funded by the

Why Is Athena Important In The Odyssey

This was her latest masterpiece of guile: she set up a great loom in the great halls and she began

She also uses weaving as a way to ignore the situation and become free in herself. She also is
accused later in the book by Odysseus as crafting a plan, since she wanted him to stay on the

Odysseus on the island, but another immortal, Hermes visited and commanded that Odysseus be

Arete, Nausicaa s mother, wife of King Alcinous, is shown spinning yarn. Spinning yarn identifies
Arete with Athena. Arete is considered wise because she is shown as spinning yarn. Women in her
city also have a skill in weaving. Further stating that the women in Phaeacia are wise women. The
queen also shows she is wise when she questions Odysseus later. Her interactions with Odysseus

Civil War Nursing Essay
Civil War Nursing Over 5000 volunteer nurses north and south served in military hospitals during
the Civil War. Nurses were of all sorts and came from all over. Women wanted to be involved in
this national struggle in any way they could. They did not want to stay home and play their
traditional domestic roles that social convention and minimal career opportunities had confined the
majority of their sex to. Many women thought of nursing as an extension of their home duties,
almost like taking care of their boys. They recall the Civil War as a time when their work as
nurses made a difference. It gave them an opportunity to prove they had the ability and courage to

Instead, nurses were to assist with the soldiers diet and make sure what they ate was carefully
regulated. They cared for physical needs like distribution of linen and clothes. They also helped
with emotional and spiritual care by comforting them and writing letters to their family for
them. Nurses faced great danger in hospitals because they were a breeding ground for disease.
They were extremely over crowded, especially after a large battle, and because of these
conditions, illnesses were spread very easily. Typhoid, malaria, and dysentery were the biggest
diseases. Typhoid was the worst. One of the poorer facilities was named the Hurly Burly House.
The patients here were enlisted men. Better quarters were reserved for sick and wounded officers.
Most of the hospitals had bad ventilation, no provisions for bathing, and no dead house. Some of
them had decaying wood and old carpets that were not removed. Kitchens and washrooms were
described as cold, damp, dirty, and full of vile odors from wounds. The nurses quarters were not
much better. Nurses would often work from 6am to 1am. These miserable accommodations
combined with overworked and under qualified staff made hospital conditions adverse to patient
welfare and therefore unsuitable for either dispensing or receiving treatment. The Sanitary

The Piano Play Analysis
The piano music becomes rapidly more passionate, and then breaks off suddenly in mid phrase
(Stoppard, 85). Immediately before this quote, Stoppard writes that there are now four hands
present on the piano, rather than the usual two hands. The music became more intense over time,
because the plot in the play is currently uprising to a main event. Thomasina mentions how her
mother, Lady Croom, is in love with Count Zelinsky, who happens to be the man playing the piano.
After Thomasina confesses this unknown statement, there are suddenly four hands on the piano,
hinting at the readers that both Count and Lady Croom are now playing the piano. Love can be a
powerful thing and the piano enhances this message by suddenly becoming more intense. Within
the play, the background noise is critical when understanding the meaning of Arcadia. The main
source of noise in this play is the piano. The piano plays a crucial role in both the past and present
tenseof the play. In the past, the piano is used when talked about waltzing because music and
dancing go hand and hand together. Also, the piano resembled carnal embrace or otherwise known
as sex in the past tense. On the other side, in the present tense the piano serves as a distraction.
When the tempo of the piano is drastically changed, the characters seem to notice it more and
comment more frequently on it than before. Whether it is in the past or present, noise changes the
audience s mood throughout the play and pushes them towards

The Development Of The Self And The Ability Of Form...
The development of the self and the ability to form relationships with others both begin in
infancy, as the child starts to understand its own existence. The formation of close relationships
with parents and, eventually, with peers is crucial to the psychological and physiological well
being of a child. The first signs of self awareness can generally be found by age two. Children at
this stage can recognize themselves in the mirror and in photographs, as well as use personal
pronouns to refer to themselves. One popular test of self recognition involves discreetly putting a
small mark, usually an ink dot, on the forehead of a child. When the child is told to look at their
reflection in a mirror, a child that has developed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The social world is not as concrete as the physical world, and is governed by subjective laws that
change from person to person. Whenever people are incorporated into a task, that task
instantaneously becomes much harder and this is especially true for young children. If a child
does not yet have the ability to recognize their inner self , it is virtually impossible for them to
have effective communication with someone else, whereas this child can easily figure out that
an object dropped from the highchair will inevitably fall to the ground. Relationships are
incredibly important to both our functioning as a society and our existence as a species. If
relationships were considered bad, then there would be serious repercussions. The most obvious
is the strong decline in reproduction that would occur as a result, also neurosis would be
widespread from social isolation. Relationships also help to motivate us. Upward social
comparison occurs when we compare ourselves to those who are perceived to be better than us
(Festinger 1954). In most people, this creates motivation to try and reach this peak, so long as it is
an achievable goal. Relationships also supply us with affection and the benefits of attachment. As
people grow older, attachment with others is necessary to supplant that which was felt with their
parents, as proximity to them is decreased with the emergence of

Lord Derby had the idea of pals battalions , these were battalions of people who volunteered to join
the army in the same area. This scheme inspired local and civic pride, this meant that soldiers
would not just be fighting for the British Empire, but for their town or city and friend and family.
This was particularly effective as it encouraged friend to enlist at the same time, if one was left
behind there would be no one they new. It had a similar effect as peer pressure if you did not
join up you considered a coward by your friends. This worked well in North England and
Scotland, where places like Hull raised four regiments and three regiments from Liverpool went
over the top of the trenches on the first day.
Women too played a vital role in the recruitment process. The Order of the White Feather was a
group that encouraged women to hand out white feathers to men not in uniform in public as a
sign of cowardice the white feather being a symbol a coward. This really pushed men to go as
they would not want to be seen as a coward in public. The suffragists used their considerable
publicity machine to call on men to join the army. The mothers union produced posters urging
mothers to get their sons to enlist. Some posters published by

Does My Island Have A Free Market Economy
I think that my island has a free market economy. The government controls very little of my
island. The production of products is based on supply and demand at that time. Also, we are not
organized by a certain authority, unlike a command economy. The people own the land and
resources. Prices are set by the seller, based on supply and demand, they go up and down naturally.
There are no restrictions set by the government on pricing and how much or too little to sell. The
United States has a capitalist economy. That means that trade and industry are controlled by private
owners for profit. My island has a market economy. One similarity is that both economies have little
or no control from the government. Also,

I believe the woman committed a deviant act, because she did not abide by the law due to her

victims receive justice for their crimes as soon as possible. If anyone were to tamper with the
crime scene that could drastically impact whether a murder case is solved or not. I believe since
the woman later admitted to what she did wrong she is beginning to make the right decisions and
trying to make up for her mistake. I believe that the woman chose to act counternormatively

Technology And Its Impact On Education
In this decade, technology has significant influence in many areas of society especially for
improving education, language acquisition, support learning, and it is a great way to access to
information. In fact, nowadays students depend on their machine such as computers, laptops,
mobile phone to study in the classroom or outside the class. In addition, they use the internet to
communicate with teachers and to help them do research for information they need to do
homework. Although, technology is a substantial part of teaching and languages learning, in some
aspect of languages learning may not have any favorable impact. The efficiency of any technology

Expressively, numerous recent studies have focused on the effectiveness of the technology and to
explore the recent potential to improve technology in language learning. However empirical studies
in some research were made to assess this issue. Therefore, there is Evidence suggesting that the
applications of technology effectively have an impact in various aspects of language education.
New technology can assist in improving the quality of input, the authenticity of communication and

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this paper is to document the genetic disease hypertrichosis. Using articles, and web
sources we will outline the history, genetic basis, and different treatments of this genetic disease.
Hypertrichosis literal meaning is excess of hair growth. The elemental genetic defect remains
unknown because there are many factors at work. There is a debate if hypertrichosis is an
autosomal or X linked disease, since there have been documented cases of both. However, there are
certain chromosomal defects that have proven to be present in many patients. Certain diseases and
environmental triggers are known to be associated with hypertrichosis. Although this disease is
nonfatal, it can be embarrassing and unpleasant for the patient. Excess hair can manifest itself on
the hands, face, and body. There are few treatments aside from cosmetic procedures. There remains
no known cure for hypertrichosis.
HISTORY OF HYPERTRICHOSIS
Hypertrichosis is a unique and rare disease of its time, exemplifying characteristics of having
excessive hair growth covering the entire body. Very little is known about this hypertrichosis
because of how scarce it is. The manifestation, and genetic causes vary when it comes to this
disease as well. These factors as well as others have made this

The Battle Of Horse Fights Pit Bull Terriers
Aggressive and/or vicious dogs are beginning to be a serious problem in the United States. With
the rise in dog fights Pit Bull Terriers are viewed in a negative light. When the wrong owner gets
a Pit Bull and withholds food and teaches the dog to fight it makes a very dangerous dog. Pit bulls
are known for their bite strength and fearless personalities. Due to all the negative media, abusive
and neglectful pit bullowners; the pit bull terriers are thought of as vicious and unsafe dogs to be
around. Pit bull terriers are discriminated against due to a misconception of the breed itself.
The name pit bull is slang for American Pit Bull Terrier. There are several variations in the pit bull
name. The name pit bull refers to several breeds such as; American Pit Bull Terriers, Bull
Terriers, Boxer, American Bulldog, Bull Mastiff, Boxer, and American Staffordshire Terriers
(Bixler 2 ). In the early nineteenth century bull and terrier breeds were created in England, but
were not recognized by the AKC until the nineteen thirties. The once loved and admired breed is
now feared and threatened in many areas. This once loved and adored breed is looked upon as a
vicious killer. The general vision of pit bulls are a large stalky frame, cropped ears and tail and with
a large head.
The American Pit Bull Terriers were once known for taking care of young children. They are
fiercely protective of their human family. The same breed until the 1970 s was known as America

more people settled in Texas, the popularity of Mexican food grew and grew. People started
attempting to make it themselves in their own kitchens, using Texan ingredients like beef and
wheat flour. Beef and wheat flour are two things not common in Mexico. Mexican restaurants in
Texas started to use more gringo elements into their dishes, like ground beef in enchiladas. This
resulted in a new invention, a delicious invention, of Tex Mex food. Traditional Mexican food use

This is because the thoughts of a child who is depressed are negative and demeaning. Though
the child may be nice looking or smart, he or she won t see what everyone around them sees. If the
child is given a gift or an opportunity, he or she will view it as luck and only focus on the reasons
why he or she didn t deserve it. Depression causes one s thinking process to be completely
distorted and the world around them has nothing but negative things to offer. The social effects
of Childhood Depressive Disorder are that the child doesn t make friends. He or she does not
feel a sense of belonging amongst his or her peers. Sometimes the child doesn t even want to
belong with anyone they come in contact with. They set themselves aside from the rest of the
world and could care less about the people or things around them. Because of the nonchalant
attitude of the depressed child, family and friends often suffer also because they feel a severe
disconnect from their loved one. Marriages sometimes suffer if the husband and wife cannot deal
with the attention the child requires. Because of all the focus being put on the child others in the
family, such as siblings and spouse, are neglected. When the siblings of the child who is depressed
are neglected, this can sometimes send them into a downward spiral of jealousy

Bellocq s Ophelia Analysis
When one gazes at the posed risquГ© photos that the photographer E. J. Bellocq took during the
Storyville era many questions arise as to, who the female models were, where did they work,
and why? Storyville was a legalized red light district in New Orleans. Storyville was the answer to
the ongoing crime problem in New Orleans back in the late eighteen to early nineteen hundreds.
After the closure of Storyville, the so called embarrassment was almost wiped from history.
Bellocq s photos, a couple of rundown buildings, and very few tales about Storyville are left today.

Even with the progression, women in the Edwardian Era still were seen as domestic house
keepers and caregivers. Getting a job during this time was very difficult because women were
limited to what jobs they were allowed to have. In Bellocq s Ophelia, Ophelia talks about a
tragedy that occurred in 1911, In the paper today, tragedy / in New York City a clothing factory,
so many women / dying in a fire, (Trethewey 22). Women could work in factories, mines, be maids
for people with sizable incomes, and on farms; however women rarely found respectable middle

preventing Ophelia from her intended job, presumably as a secretary.
Ophelia s mother was black and her father was white. Albeit the thirteenth amendment was signed

Struggling to Define Industry in the Industrial Disputes Act
INTRODUCTION
No other provision of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (hereinafter ID Act) has been under as
much scrutiny as the definition of industry given under section 2(j). To avail the benefit of the ID
Act, it is necessary for the worker to prove that his place of employment falls under the purview
of the definition of industry in s 2(j). Over the years the judiciary has laid down certain tests and
criteria to determine and limit (or as seen later, expand) the scope of the legislation to extend the
benefits to workers in different establishments. One such issue was to examine if educational
institutions (universities, schools, etc) would fall under s. 2(j). This essay starts by tracing the
judicial developments with regard to educational institutions under s 2(j).
ARE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS INDUSTRY ?
The concern of education as industry arose for the first time in Corporation of Nagpur v Its
Employees . It was held that the education department of the corporation was a service being
provided and would therefore fall under industry . The question was again addressed in Delhi
University v Ram Nath in 1963. The argument presented was that widest meaning should be given
to s. 2(j) along the line of the decision in Hospital Mazdoor Sabha , wherein it had been stated that
industry expressly included services . The working principle stated that the activity should involve
the co operation of the employer and employees with the object of satisfying material

Themes And Characters In The Book Amaroq The Wolf
A.The writer s style is his personal choice dependent on the setting, plot and characters means
these three aspects of the story will be taken by the author and decided how it will best tell his
story. The writer must use his skill with words to develop his style for the story, since the reader
is completely at the mercy of the writer waiting for his words to write so he can feel, hear, see,
smell and contemplate what is going to happen next. The writer must tell the reader what the
world looks like and how it changes, who is in it and where the reader is going. One writer will
deal with a genre completely different from another, developing their own style and vision. Often a
writer s style can become so familiar readers they can recognize the author just from reading a

Outline the Structure of the Main Tissues of the Body.
P2: Outline the structure of the main tissues of the body.
In this assignment I m going to talk about the structure of the main tissues which are found within
the body as well as what their role is in the terms of two named organs of the body. Tissues are a
collection of similar cells that group together to carry out a specific function within the body. There
are four different types of tissue found in the human body which include; epithelial tissue;
connective tissue; muscle tissue and nerve tissue.
The first type of tissue found in the human body is epithelial tissue. These types of tissue are
found covering the whole surface of the body, lining of cavities, hollow organs and tubes. The cells
a very closely packed and are arranged in one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Transitional epithelium is also composed of several layers but is constructive of pear shaped cells
instead. This type of tissue is stretchy, meaning it can contract and expand. It is usually found
lining the urinary bladder as it allows for stretching as the bladder fills up.
The second type of tissue found in the body is connective tissue. They lie beneath the epithelial
tissue helping to connect different part of the internal structure, the cells are more widely separated
from each other then in epithelial tissue. The intercellular substance known as the matrix is found
in considerably large amounts. Within the matrix there are usually fibres which may be a jelly like
consistency or dense and rigid depending on the type, function and positioning of the tissue. Theses
fibres form a supporting system for cells to attach to. The major functions of connective tissue are
to transport materials, give structural support and protection. The types of connective tissue that
will be explained are blood, bone, cartilage, bone, areolar tissue and adipose tissue.
Blood is made up of straw coloured plasma, the matrix, in which various types of blood are carried.
Plasma is mainly water where substances are carried such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, nutrients
such as glucose and amino acids, salts, enzymes and hormones. Also there is a combination of
important proteins which help with blood clotting, transport,

Do Consequences Depend on Motives in Julius Caesar by...
An American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr once said, All human sin seems so much worse in its
consequences than in its intentions. In this statement, Niebuhr exclaims that the consequences of a
situation are undeniably much worse than the motivation of one s instigation of their actions. This
applies to the intentions and, more importantly, the consequences of the characters in both the play
Julius Caesarby William Shakespeare and film Wall Street: Money Never Sleepsdirected by Oliver
Stone. Even though some people have honorable intentions and mean no harm, the consequences
can still be disastrous. In much the same way, those with fraudulent intentions also suffer in the
end. Situations like these can be accurately viewed through both the play and the film. The
characters Brutus and Jacob Moore have no other reason but to act in a worthy way. While Cassius
and Gordon Gekko have deceptive intentions, consequences incur similar to Brutus and Jacob
Moore. The intentions may seem like the most important consideration in a decision, but, in reality,
the penalties can be the same no matter what the motives are.
A motive to kill one s best friend requires deep thinking and a reasonable intention. Brutus, Caesar
s best friend, has taken into consideration why he thinks killing Caesar is necessary. Although
Brutus is Caesar s best friend, he has to come to conclusion that murdering him is his final decision
when he asserts, Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome

The Silent Pool, The Tell Tale Heart, And Things Fall Apart
With many of the texts that were assigned to us, each one dealt with the relationship between
insiders and outsiders differently. The insider and outsider relationship varies between both the idea
of inner conflict and outside conflict. I will be explaining these relationships from the texts of
Gooboora, The Silent Pool, The Tell Tale Heart, and Things Fall Apart. Gooboora, The Silent Pool
deals with the relationship of the Aboriginal people of Australia and colonialization, while The Tell
Tale Heart deals with an outsider s effect on the main character s subconscious. Things Fall Apart,
however, is a mixture of both conflicts that were mentioned. Each of the three texts show how the
outside negatively effects the inside.
In the poem, Gooboora, The Silent Pool by Oodgeroo Noonuccal, it shows some aspects of the
aftermath from colonialism in Australia and how it has affected the Aboriginal people. In
Amanda Woods s thesis, she explains that Noonuccal s poems are a means that speak for the
Aboriginal people. With Gooboora, The Silent Pool, it talks about the lost images of a pool that is
sacred to the Aboriginal people. The aftermath of colonialization has left only a memory for the
people. This story was set after dreamtime, or a time before colonialization. She further explains

Morisot Vs Monet
Edgar Degas once said, art is not what you see but what you can make others see. Both pieces,
Impression, Sunrise by Monet and Summer s Day by Morisot, fulfill what Degas was getting at.
The painting by Claude Monet was a made in 1872 with oil on a rectangle canvas that was
nineteen inches by twenty four and three eighths. The piece is a view of the sunrising in the harbor
of Le Havre, France which was Monet s hometown. It contains the sky and the reflection of it in
the water with small boats containing a few individuals in the foreground of the painting. In the
background, there are larger, more industrial ships that are not very defined; they almost blend
into the colors of the rising sky. Monet s work uses vivid colors of blues and oranges

What Is The Difference Between Men And Women Deborah Tannen
Women versus Men: The Art of Miscommunication There is often miscommunication between the
sexes, whether it is spouses, friends, siblings, or parents. The miscommunication between the sexes
is not intentional; it is simply because of the differences in the way men and women think and
interact. In Deborah Tannen s essay, But What Do You Mean?, Tannen identifies the seven
primary differences in which men and women interact. Of the seven differences between women
and men interactions than Tannen points out, the most notable ones that I have seen to be true
are apologies, jokes, and criticism. Apologizing is, from what I have seen growing up, probably
the most misunderstood. Tannen points out in her essay that women use the term I m sorry as a
way for both parties in a conversation to take part of the blame, and show equal footing or to
show that it is okay. I have seen plenty of examples of this, especially with my grandma and my
aunt. When my grandma would forget something, she would apologize, then my aunt would say
that it s okay, and then she would apologize to my grandma. Growing up, I did not understand why
my aunt would apologize, as it was not her fault, but reading Tannen explain it in her essay, I
understand that she was just saying it to tell my grandma that it is okay and not to worry about it.
Another reason that I have personally seen women apologize more that Tannen did not elaborate
on, is that when women are in conversations about something bad

Objectives Target audience Approach Deliverables Timings Budget Project Team Next Steps
INTRODUCTION
This document has been produced by BPRI to help clients write effective briefs for research
agencies We have developed this in response to a number of requests we have received from clients
for advice.
There is no right or wrong way to write a research brief; however, following these guidelines will
help to ensure: You as the client have a clear view of what is needed from the research Internal
parties have a clear view of what the research can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What does success look like? Would a presentation or debrief workshop be the most useful way of
disseminating findings? Will you need a series of presentations for different audiences? Will you
require an interim debrief or an executive summary? Do you need feedback in a very succinct
format to facilitate a quick decision? Do you require any specific outputs e.g. multiple printed
copies of presentations/reports, data tabulations, SPSS data files, an online portal to host the
deliverables?

WHEN DOES THIS NEED TO HAPPEN?
One of the most important factors to include in the research brief is timings. When are interim
and/or final results required? Do you need to meet key internal or external deadlines? Are these
fixed? this can influence choice of methodology/approach and sample sizes It has a major bearing
on reporting formats It also allows the agency to assess capacity and their ability to resource the
project effectively Clients should be aware that complex studies, particularly those involving
international markets require several days turn around time for proposal design and cost estimates.
If in doubt, ask your agency for advice.

Holden s Transition Into an Adult
There is a moment in every child s life where he or she realizes that growing up is not as desirable
as they once thought. Before this moment they fantasize about not having a bedtime or driving or
finally being able to drink. But then they feel the weight of the adult world with its responsibilities
and restrictions of a society that doesn t value the individual and expects its citizens to morph into
mature, controllable adults. This is the time parents hate, the time when their children try to rebel
or run away to escape their future as adults, but time, alas, cannot be outrun. The adultworldexpects
many things of its inhabitants a job, a family, taxes, sex, and much more. Unfortunately, most young

That, however, wouldn t solve anything because he knows deep down that would never happen.
Sally points out that his plan is not practical. Holden wouldn t be able to keep himself alive for
longer than a week if he just packed up and moved to the wilderness. And he would still need to
communicate with adults to get the supplies he wanted even if he did pretend to be a deaf mute.
Sally s flat out refusal of the plan shows the qualities of a sure thinking adult, and that is why he
calls her the queen of phonies because she s already acting like an adult. Physiologists say that
girls mature faster than boys do so it would make sense that Holden is avoiding the adult world
instead or embracing it like Sally. But Holden already knew Sally s personality from previous
encounters. Jane, however, he is not too sure about. Another thing that Holden is afraid might
have changed is Jane Gallagher. Throughout the novel Holden is searching for a person to call
and almost calls her but time after time he puts it off by saying that he s not in the mood
(Salinger 59). Holden doesn t want to call Jane and find out that she has changed since the last
time they were together. Holden would rather live with a memory of a girl who won t move the
last row of checkers than get to know Jane all over again. Holden doesn t want to face it, but his
world is losing its innocence Sally, Jane, and even Holden are maturing, even if it is at different
rates. Holden is dimly aware that in the

The Importance Of Mobile Phones
Mobile telephones, sometimes called cellular telephone, is a type of short wave analog or
digital telecommunication in which a subscriber has a wireless connection from a mobile phone
to a relatively nearby transmitter. The transmitter s span of coverage is called a cell. As the
cellular telephone user moves from one cell or area of coverage to another, the telephone is
effectively passed on to the local cell transmitter. A mobile phone is a wireless handheld device
that allows users to make calls and send text messages, among other features. The earliest
generation of mobile phones could only make and receive calls. Today s mobile phones, however,
are packed with many additional features, such as web browsers, games, cameras, video players
and even navigational systems. A smartphone is a device that lets you make telephone calls, but
also adds in features that, in the past, you would have found only on a personal digital assistantor a
computer such as the ability to send and receive e mail and edit Office documents, for example.
In general, a smartphone will be based on an operating system that allows it to run applications.
Apple s iPhone runs the iOS, and BlackBerry smartphones run the BlackBerry OS. Other devices
run Google s Android OS, HP s webOS, and Microsoft s Windows Phone. While almost all cell
phones include some sort of software (even the most basic models these days include an address
book or some sort of contact manager, for example), a smartphone will have

Boleking And Poverty In India
India is home to over 1.2 billion people with 4 percent of the population being orphans.
India is overloaded with orphans and statistics show that the problem is not going to be getting any
better anytime soon. There are many factors that contribute to the reasoning behind the amount of
orphans, like poverty and some kids being forced into sex trafficking and prostitution.
There are over 20 million orphans in in India because the country is very poor, some families
simply can t support a child so they abandoned them, and some children are unfortunately forced
into sex trafficking. There are many reasons that India alone has 20 million orphans in their
country but by far the most dominant factor is poverty. Around 67 percent of India s population
lives below the poverty line (10 Facts about Poverty in India). Parents simply cannot afford to
provide for themselves or for their children. Many children lack basic life necessities like nutrition,
shelter, and care from their parents, not because their parents don t love them, but because most of
the time parents cannot afford anything. (5 terrible causes of the Orphan Crisis). 46 percent of
children under the age of 5 are malnourished. 31 percent of infants are born with low birth weight.
All children in India are underweight by 18 percent or more (Facts on Children in India). Theses
truly statistics show how badly the country is suffering, and even worse how the children are
suffering. Although in some rare cases parents

Second Great Awakening Analysis
The Second Great Awakening was a Protestant revival movement during the early 19th century in
the United States. It enrolled millions of new members in existing evangelical denominations and
led to the formation of new denominations. Many converts believed that the Awakening heralded a
new millennial age. The Second Great Awakening stimulated the establishment of many reform
movements by a sort of domino effect of inspiration as one movement started, it encouraged the
initiation of another. A lot of these movements were composed and sought out during camp
meetings on religious revival during the 1800 s to get a gathering of passionate on goers to share
and discuss their beliefs to restore their interest and devotion to their faith,... Show more content on

The camp meeting was a religious service of several days length with preachers. Settlers in
thinly populated areas gathered at the camp meeting for fellowship as well as worship.
(Lambert, 2013) The sheer exhilaration of participating in a religious revival with crowds of
hundreds and perhaps thousands of people inspired the dancing, shouting, and singing
associated with these events. Upon their return home, most converts joined or created small
local churches, which grew rapidly. The Second Great Awakening marked a religious transition
in society in America. Many Americans from the Calvinist sect emphasized man s inability to
save themselves and their only way to be saved was from grace from God. (Independence Hall
Association in Philadelphia, 2014) The Second Great Awakening caused a more of a lasting
change on American society than any other religious revival. One of the major ideas of the
Second Great Awakening was that people could perfect themselves. The Second Great Awakening
put forward the idea that people could work to achieve their own salvation. It also was based on
the idea that revivalist preachers could go around spreading the word and thereby help people to
improve. These

The Risk Management Process Within An Enterprise
Examine and discuss each step below which forms part of the risk management process followed
within an enterprise. Explain the reasons behind each step, what each step achieves for the
enterprise and give examples. 1.Objectives of the organization Organizational objectives are the
overall goals, mission and purpose that an organization seeks to accomplish. An organization s
objectives plays a large part in the development of organizational polices and will determine the
distribution and utilization of resources within organization. When a certain company was able to
achieve objectives, this would lead to realization of goals. Making objectives may involve a lot of
factors. You can set a single objective within organization or multiple objectives and also you can
set targeted deadlines for the accomplishment of objectives. There are other important factors such
as who make the decisions that could affect the achievement of objectives. Politics in organization
is expected, with different kind interests supporting the advance of objectives that are best for them,
and this could result in bargaining between groups in the organization, which will lead into
objectives that are favorable to the key organizational groups such as soaring of sales, research and
development, marketing and production. To give an example in healthcare facilities, the hospital

This allows the heart to beat slower and more efficiently to keep blood pressure under
control(Moore, Kristine). Some individuals might not have the extra time to do the recommended
amount of aerobic activity. Those people should ask themselves, do they have time to have a heart
attack?
Another activity that takes up time is eating. Growing up, children are taught to eat three square
meals a day. That s breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A study done by the United States Department of
Agriculture found that on an average day between 2006 08, Americans age 15 or older spend 67
minutes just eating and drinking. They also found that Americans spend 86.5 minutes eating while
multi tasking. That means that the majority of the times that people spend eating, they are
distracted by other things and not focused on what they eat. Becoming hearth healthy also
requires a diet that is high in fiber and antioxidants. Foods that are quick to eat on the go such as
candy bars or potato chips are the exact opposite of what should be eaten. These foods can be
detrimental to heart health. Foods that are high in sugar, sodium, trans fats, and ultimately calories
are the absolute worst choices to make. However, these foods are the easiest and cheapest to get on
the run and that s why many people aren t heart healthy. What people should do is carefully watch

Heroes As A Hero, And The Tragic Hero In Literature
Heroes still exist
Throughout history, stories have been passed down from generation to generation of heroes that
display incredible inspiring characteristics. From Greek mythology of Hercules, to bedtime stories
of princes slaying dragons, the concept of heroes has captivated society. Heroes are shown to go on
a journey and to be altruistic, courageous, tenacious and have integrity. Although the category of
heroes is wide, three main ones exist that are portrayed in literature; archetypal heroes, anti heroes
and tragic heroes. Archetypal heroes are the typical heroes represented in texts; they go through a
typical hero journey and are able to show bravery in the face of hardship. An anti hero is a main
character in a text that has noticeable flaws yet possesses heroic qualities. Lastly, a tragic hero
typically starts off as an archetypal hero yet has one major flaw that leads to the demise. Heroes
within literature still exist and have laid the bench mark for humanity. Humanity is positioned to be
inspired by heroes as we are always striving to achieve better and by having archetypal heroes,
human have something to aim for.
Archetypal heroes are the stock standard hero that face adversity with daring and courageous
heroism. They stand up for what it right by protecting and defending innocents from the injustice
and corruption in the world. Archetypal heroes are portrayed as honourable people who are the best
person for the job and triumph by possessing both mental and

Class In Canterbury Tales
In the 14th century, class distinction was of great importance. The class to which one belonged
determined the clothes one was allowed to wear, the color of that clothing and even behavior. In
Geoffrey Chaucer s General Prologue and The Canterbury Tales , we can find any number of
characters with these behavior distinctions if we examine them. The Knight, for example, is
described as a worthy man of trouthe and honour, freedom and curtesie (I, 46). He is of a noble
rank, and therefore his behavior is one of good reputation (honour). Conversely, Both the
descriptions of the Reeve and the Miller in the General Prologue are quite unflattering; their verbal
cutting into each other s tales demonstrates the stereotypical churlish ... Show more content on

The hag and the Knight, newly man and wife, are lying in bed when the hag asks her husband
what she has done wrong that he walweth and he turneth to and fro (III, 1085). His response is
that he acts that way because she is so loathsome and of such low lineage; this prompts her long
speech on gentilesse. She tells her husband that gentilesse is not determined by one s birth,
descended out of old richesse (1110), but is the title given to one who is almost always virtuous and
tries to do as many good deeds as he or she can (1113 15). Examining Chaucer from a historical
perspective in Chaucer and Gentility, Nigel Saul states: Chaucer s Avoidance of economic criteria
to define gentility was wholly in accord with the contemporary outlook. Gentility was viewed at the
time as a quality, and was accordingly assessed in qualitative terms (49). In lines 1117 24, the hag
then explains to the Knight that the quality of gentilesse can come only from God. Ancestors
cannot hand down their virtuous character that made others call them gentil men (1123); they can
only give their descendants the earthly status. Chaucer here demonstrates the difference between
nobility and gentilesse. He appears to comment that there is earthly gentilesse and spiritual
gentilesse gentility that is obtained by birth and gentility that is obtained through a life of
generosity and steadfast faith in God.

  • 2. Essay about Campbell Soup Company Audit Campbell Soup Company Background Campbell was founded shortly before the start of the Civil War. Abraham Anderson and Joseph Campbell began manufacturing canned vegetables and fruit preserves. In 1976, Campbell bought out Anderson s interest and renamed the firm the Joseph Campbell Preserving Company. Later, Arthur Dorrance was Campbell s new partner. In the early 1920s, John Dorrance, Arthur Dorrance s nephew, was the sole owner of the Campbell Soup Company, which was the largest producer of canned soup products. Unfortunately, as the twentieth century was coming to a close, the nation s appetite for condensed soup products was waning. The weakening demand prompted the company s executives to use an assortment of questionable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These practices are trade loading, improper accounting for loading discounts, shipping to the yard, and guaranteed sales. Trade Loading Campbell offered sizable trade discounts near the end of accounting period to entice customers to make product purchases that they would otherwise defer. By this way, a company can use price concessions to prop up its reported revenues and profits. Plaintiffs pointed out that PwC auditors were aware of the excessive trade loading by their client and this should have been a red flag for PwC to investigate the possibility that their client was fraudulently misrepresenting its operating results. The judge agree with the plaintiffs that PwC s workpapers revealed the firm was aware of Campbell s disproportionately sales near the end of quarterly reporting periods. However, the he disagreed with the assertion that PwC should have considered those heavy sales a red flag. Instead, he pointed out that PwC s workpapers referred to the large, period ending sales as a traditional trend in Campbell s operating results. This traditional trend may apply to Campbell s business environment, but may not to other industry. An auditor had better understand the industry environment he or she involves in to judge whether disproportionately sales near the end of quarterly reporting periods are normal or not. According to Jack Gibb, there are kinds of behavior contribute to defensiveness and the opposition. One of Gibb s categories of defensive and supporting behavior is controlled versus problems orientation. Control can affect relationships. One of the best examples is my relationship with my eldest sister. My eldest sister is the breadwinner of my family. She is a second mother. However, she is still my sister. Sometimes, she is controlling. For example, I am doing homework after I worked. She will command Finish your homework for an hour only and clean the restroom! I will take a shower after an hour and a half! with her eyes open, tight lipped and pouted lips. The way she communicated seems to be striking a solution for her needs with less regard to my needs rather than finding a solution that satisfies our needs. Hence, we fight and argue most of the time. On the other hand, my mother would command calmly we need to do our household chores on Saturdays and Sundays when everyone is not busy and tired. My mother created a schedule that will wash dishes every night. My mother focused on finding solutions that will satisfy everyone s need. Therefore, my mother will not hear any complaints and arguments around the house. As I described my relationship with my eldest sister, I understand where she comes from. Her motive is to be tidy as possible. I have big relatives ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, the Earth doesn t revolve around those people, so they too need to get over their ridiculous peeves and just deal with it. I have pet peeves I guess I should get over, but maybe people should also take heed to them and be aware that I dislike what bothers me. As in, I can t stand it when people correct me, or don t listen to me, and just say awful things about what I truly love and am passionate about. The psychoanalytic view holds that there are inner forces outside of your awareness that are directing your behavior. For example, a psychoanalyst might say that James misspoke due to unresolved feelings for his ex or perhaps because of misgivings about his new relationship. The founder of psychoanalytic theory was Sigmund Freud. While his theories were considered shocking at the time and continue to create debate and controversy, his work had a profound influence on a number of disciplines, including psychology, sociology, anthropology, literature, and art. The term psychoanalysis is used to refer to many aspects of Freud s work and research, including Freudian therapy and the research methodology he used to develop his theories. Freud relied heavily upon his observations and case studies of his patients when he formed his theory of personality development. Before we can understand Freud s theory of personality, we must first understand his view of how the mind is organized. According to Freud, the mind can be divided into two main parts: 1.The conscious mind includes everything that we are aware of. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think and talk about rationally. A part of this includes our memory, which is not always part of consciousness but can be retrieved easily at any time and brought into our awareness. Freud called this ordinary memory the preconscious. 2.The unconscious mind ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Is The Short Happy Life Of Francis Macomber Set on an African Safari in the early 1900s, Ernest Hemingway s The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber tells the story of a young man and wife, Francis and Margot Macomber, and their English guide, Robert Wilson, on a hunting trip gone awry. Many women thought of nursing as an extension of their home duties, almost like taking care of their boys. They recall the Civil War as a time when their work as nurses made a difference. Nurses faced great danger in hospitals because they were a breeding ground for disease. They were extremely over crowded, especially after a large battle, and because of these conditions, illnesses were spread very easily. Typhoid, malaria, and dysentery were the biggest diseases. Typhoid was the worst. One of the poorer facilities was named the Hurly Burly House. The patients here were enlisted men. Better quarters were reserved for sick and wounded officers. Most of the hospitals had bad ventilation, no provisions for bathing, and no dead house. Some of them had decaying wood and old carpets that were not removed. Kitchens and washrooms were described as cold, damp, dirty, and full of vile odors from wounds. The nurses quarters were not much better. Nurses would often work from 6am to 1am. • 16. The Piano Play Analysis The piano music becomes rapidly more passionate, and then breaks off suddenly in mid phrase (Stoppard, 85). Immediately before this quote, Stoppard writes that there are now four hands present on the piano, rather than the usual two hands. The music became more intense over time, because the plot in the play is currently uprising to a main event. Thomasina mentions how her mother, Lady Croom, is in love with Count Zelinsky, who happens to be the man playing the piano. After Thomasina confesses this unknown statement, there are suddenly four hands on the piano, hinting at the readers that both Count and Lady Croom are now playing the piano. Love can be a powerful thing and the piano enhances this message by suddenly becoming more intense. Within the play, the background noise is critical when understanding the meaning of Arcadia. The main source of noise in this play is the piano. The piano plays a crucial role in both the past and present tenseof the play. In the past, the piano is used when talked about waltzing because music and dancing go hand and hand together. Also, the piano resembled carnal embrace or otherwise known as sex in the past tense. On the other side, in the present tense the piano serves as a distraction. When the tempo of the piano is drastically changed, the characters seem to notice it more and comment more frequently on it than before. If a child does not yet have the ability to recognize their inner self , it is virtually impossible for them to have effective communication with someone else, whereas this child can easily figure out that an object dropped from the highchair will inevitably fall to the ground. Relationships are incredibly important to both our functioning as a society and our existence as a species. If relationships were considered bad, then there would be serious repercussions. The most obvious is the strong decline in reproduction that would occur as a result, also neurosis would be widespread from social isolation. Relationships also help to motivate us. Upward social comparison occurs when we compare ourselves to those who are perceived to be better than us (Festinger 1954). In most people, this creates motivation to try and reach this peak, so long as it is an achievable goal. Relationships also supply us with affection and the benefits of attachment. As people grow older, attachment with others is necessary to supplant that which was felt with their parents, as proximity to them is decreased with the emergence of ... This worked well in North England and Scotland, where places like Hull raised four regiments and three regiments from Liverpool went over the top of the trenches on the first day. Women too played a vital role in the recruitment process. They lie beneath the epithelial tissue helping to connect different part of the internal structure, the cells are more widely separated from each other then in epithelial tissue. The intercellular substance known as the matrix is found in considerably large amounts. Within the matrix there are usually fibres which may be a jelly like consistency or dense and rigid depending on the type, function and positioning of the tissue. Theses fibres form a supporting system for cells to attach to. The major functions of connective tissue are to transport materials, give structural support and protection. The types of connective tissue that will be explained are blood, bone, cartilage, bone, areolar tissue and adipose tissue. Blood is made up of straw coloured plasma, the matrix, in which various types of blood are carried. • 38. Do Consequences Depend on Motives in Julius Caesar by... An American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr once said, All human sin seems so much worse in its consequences than in its intentions. In this statement, Niebuhr exclaims that the consequences of a situation are undeniably much worse than the motivation of one s instigation of their actions. This applies to the intentions and, more importantly, the consequences of the characters in both the play Julius Caesarby William Shakespeare and film Wall Street: Money Never Sleepsdirected by Oliver Stone. Even though some people have honorable intentions and mean no harm, the consequences can still be disastrous. In much the same way, those with fraudulent intentions also suffer in the end. Situations like these can be accurately viewed through both the play and the film. The characters Brutus and Jacob Moore have no other reason but to act in a worthy way. While Cassius and Gordon Gekko have deceptive intentions, consequences incur similar to Brutus and Jacob Moore. The intentions may seem like the most important consideration in a decision, but, in reality, the penalties can be the same no matter what the motives are. A motive to kill one s best friend requires deep thinking and a reasonable intention. Brutus, Caesar s best friend, has taken into consideration why he thinks killing Caesar is necessary. Although Brutus is Caesar s best friend, he has to come to conclusion that murdering him is his final decision when he asserts, Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome ... • 39. The Silent Pool, The Tell Tale Heart, And Things Fall Apart With many of the texts that were assigned to us, each one dealt with the relationship between insiders and outsiders differently. The insider and outsider relationship varies between both the idea of inner conflict and outside conflict. I will be explaining these relationships from the texts of Gooboora, The Silent Pool, The Tell Tale Heart, and Things Fall Apart. Gooboora, The Silent Pool deals with the relationship of the Aboriginal people of Australia and colonialization, while The Tell Tale Heart deals with an outsider s effect on the main character s subconscious. Things Fall Apart, however, is a mixture of both conflicts that were mentioned. Each of the three texts show how the outside negatively effects the inside. In the poem, Gooboora, The Silent Pool by Oodgeroo Noonuccal, it shows some aspects of the aftermath from colonialism in Australia and how it has affected the Aboriginal people. In Amanda Woods s thesis, she explains that Noonuccal s poems are a means that speak for the Aboriginal people. With Gooboora, The Silent Pool, it talks about the lost images of a pool that is sacred to the Aboriginal people. The aftermath of colonialization has left only a memory for the people. This story was set after dreamtime, or a time before colonialization. She further explains (Woods) Woods s gives a very interesting insight on the poem. She does state that Gooboora is an actual pool in Australia that was sacred to the Aboriginals, but was renamed to Lake Karboora ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Both pieces, Impression, Sunrise by Monet and Summer s Day by Morisot, fulfill what Degas was getting at. The painting by Claude Monet was a made in 1872 with oil on a rectangle canvas that was nineteen inches by twenty four and three eighths. The piece is a view of the sunrising in the harbor of Le Havre, France which was Monet s hometown. It contains the sky and the reflection of it in the water with small boats containing a few individuals in the foreground of the painting. • 43. What Is The Difference Between Men And Women Deborah Tannen Women versus Men: The Art of Miscommunication There is often miscommunication between the sexes, whether it is spouses, friends, siblings, or parents. The miscommunication between the sexes is not intentional; it is simply because of the differences in the way men and women think and interact. In Deborah Tannen s essay, But What Do You Mean?, Tannen identifies the seven primary differences in which men and women interact. Of the seven differences between women and men interactions than Tannen points out, the most notable ones that I have seen to be true are apologies, jokes, and criticism. Apologizing is, from what I have seen growing up, probably the most misunderstood. Tannen points out in her essay that women use the term I m sorry as a way for both parties in a conversation to take part of the blame, and show equal footing or to show that it is okay. I have seen plenty of examples of this, especially with my grandma and my aunt. When my grandma would forget something, she would apologize, then my aunt would say that it s okay, and then she would apologize to my grandma. Growing up, I did not understand why my aunt would apologize, as it was not her fault, but reading Tannen explain it in her essay, I understand that she was just saying it to tell my grandma that it is okay and not to worry about it. Another reason that I have personally seen women apologize more that Tannen did not elaborate on, is that when women are in conversations about something bad ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Importance Of Mobile Phones Mobile telephones, sometimes called cellular telephone, is a type of short wave analog or digital telecommunication in which a subscriber has a wireless connection from a mobile phone to a relatively nearby transmitter. As the cellular telephone user moves from one cell or area of coverage to another, the telephone is effectively passed on to the local cell transmitter. A mobile phone is a wireless handheld device that allows users to make calls and send text messages, among other features. The earliest generation of mobile phones could only make and receive calls. Upon their return home, most converts joined or created small local churches, which grew rapidly. The Second Great Awakening marked a religious transition in society in America. Many Americans from the Calvinist sect emphasized man s inability to save themselves and their only way to be saved was from grace from God. Heroes are shown to go on a journey and to be altruistic, courageous, tenacious and have integrity. Although the category of heroes is wide, three main ones exist that are portrayed in literature; archetypal heroes, anti heroes and tragic heroes. Archetypal heroes are the typical heroes represented in texts; they go through a typical hero journey and are able to show bravery in the face of hardship. The class to which one belonged determined the clothes one was allowed to wear, the color of that clothing and even behavior. In Geoffrey Chaucer s General Prologue and The Canterbury Tales , we can find any number of characters with these behavior distinctions if we examine them. The Knight, for example, is described as a worthy man of trouthe and honour, freedom and curtesie (I, 46). He is of a noble rank, and therefore his behavior is one of good reputation (honour). The hag and the Knight, newly man and wife, are lying in bed when the hag asks her husband what she has done wrong that he walweth and he turneth to and fro (III, 1085). His response is that he acts that way because she is so loathsome and of such low lineage; this prompts her long speech on gentilesse. She tells her husband that gentilesse is not determined by one s birth, descended out of old richesse (1110), but is the title given to one who is almost always virtuous and tries to do as many good deeds as he or she can (1113 15). Examining Chaucer from a historical perspective in Chaucer and Gentility, Nigel Saul states: Chaucer s Avoidance of economic criteria to define gentility was wholly in accord with the contemporary outlook. Gentility was viewed at the time as a quality, and was accordingly assessed in qualitative terms (49). In lines 1117 24, the hag then explains to the Knight that the quality of gentilesse can come only from God. Ancestors cannot hand down their virtuous character that made others call them gentil men (1123); they can only give their descendants the earthly status. Chaucer here demonstrates the difference between nobility and gentilesse. He appears to comment that there is earthly gentilesse and spiritual gentilesse gentility that is obtained by birth and gentility that is obtained through a life of generosity and steadfast faith in God.
