Essay Reference Page
Crafting an essay on the subject of an "Essay Reference Page" can be a challenging task that
requires attention to detail, adherence to formatting guidelines, and a thorough understanding of
various citation styles. The reference page is a critical component of any well-written essay, as it
serves as a testament to the credibility of the sources used and allows readers to delve deeper
into the referenced material.
One of the difficulties in creating an essay on this topic lies in the meticulous nature of
referencing. It involves accurately citing each source used within the essay, following the
specific citation style required (such as APA, MLA, Chicago, or others). Each citation style has
its own set of rules and nuances, adding an additional layer of complexity to the task. A slight
error in formatting or citation can compromise the integrity of the reference page and,
consequently, the entire essay.
Another challenge is the need for a comprehensive understanding of the sources themselves.
Writers must not only provide correct and consistent citations but also demonstrate a clear
understanding of the content they are referencing. This requires a careful review and analysis of
each source to ensure accurate representation and incorporation into the essay's argument.
Furthermore, staying up-to-date with the latest changes in citation guidelines can be demanding.
Citation styles often undergo revisions, and keeping abreast of these changes is crucial to
maintaining the accuracy and relevance of the reference page.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the "Essay Reference Page" can be a demanding task due to
the attention to detail required, the adherence to citation styles, and the need for a
comprehensive understanding of the sources used. Nevertheless, mastering these challenges is
essential for producing scholarly and well-documented essays.

The Attack On The World Trade Center
Counterintelligence and 9/11
The attack on the World Trade Center was not the first attack and was not the first
time the US Intelligence Community had heard of Al Qaeda or Osama Bin Laden.
The role of counterintelligence from both sides the US and Al Qaeda, lent to the
information flow not only form the attackers but also to the ones who would
ultimately respond. The FBI, the CIA, the DIA, have integral parts in these series of
events from the information collection to the information flow. In a time where it
was realized that Counterintelligence and Counterterrorism have a similar need, as
well as information sharing across agencies, have led to the CI and IC we see today.

Using their cover in the western world, as not to draw suspicion they were able to
use a suitable cover to come and go throughout the US as well as back to Europe
and the Middle East, and in most instances until the 9/11 attacks occurred even the
name Al Qaeda or Osama Bin Laden wasn t commonly known. With their blocking
the information that the US could learn their intentions they enabled themselves to
have the freedom to move and conduct the operations needed to conduct the 9/11
attacks. Their deception operations with their uses of cover stories that seem not only
benign but also provided the cover needed to move back and forth, one of these
aspects through the use of deception, were able to make the US unsuspicious of their
actions presented through false information.
This information was not just a learned concept from Al Qaeda prior to the 9/11
attack but prior to 9/11 with other attacks as well. One of these areas of instruction
was how to infiltrate into enemy territory as well as how to blend into the western
world not to arouse suspicion. These lessons also included how to make the cover
story more believable and meeting clandestinely. Many of these tactics are similar in
the approach that many international criminal organizations and even nations conduct
deception and denial operations. Before the invasion by the US in 2001, many of
these strategies and concepts were taught throughout the training camps in
Afghanistan and recently
Persuasive Essay On Being An Adult
When do you actually become an adult? There are legal terms that qualify someone
as an adult, but that doesn t necessarily mean that they act like one. I think being an
adult means, being able to support yourself; as in having a steady paying job, and
most importantly being accountable to yourself. Being able to make your own
decisions without asking a parentor model figure first, is an example of having an
identity status of a moratorium. One with this type of mindset as a young adult, will
weigh their options and consider their values and what they believe themselves,
whether it s their own thoughtbranched off of their parents guidance, or it is
completely their own ideaand they explore to see what their views are. On the other
hand, for some, they rely on their parents approval, they may have an idea or
opinion about a topic, but they will ask a parent or model figure in their life to seek
guidance. The young adult wants the security of having the approval of a decision
and being told what to do and pointed what direction to go towards. This is
essentially making the decision for them. This type of identity status if called
foreclosure.
At a very young age, I was given the responsibility to take care of my youngest
sister after school. I had to help her with her homework, make dinner for us both
and put her to bed some days; and on top of that do my own homework and get my
chores done. Both of my parents worked full time and I felt that I had the
responsibility as a
How Wells Fargo Should Promote Sales Involvement
Wells Fargo is one of the leading companies for sales. As an employee, I m honored
to be asked by the CEO, to recommend actions to promote sales involvement. In the
outline, I list six critical topics on what I recommend how Wells Fargo should
promote sales involvement. Following the outline, is an explanation of three of the
most critical topics that are listed in the outline. Lastly, a propose of a potential course
of implementation is stated.
At Wells Fargo, teamwork and sales are important skills needed in order to succeed
as an employee. At Wells Fargo, I plan to incorporate a system where each
employee gains the skills necessary so that each task runs efficiently. To begin, I
will start observing each banker s, and each teller s normal routine. I will be
listening carefully to the conversations the tellers, and bankers are having with
customers. As an observer, I will be taking notes on what the employee s strengths
and weakness are when lobbying to a customer, and working with coworkers. I will
continue this process for a week. Once the week is completed, I will have one on
one meetings with each employee. After the employee s one on one meeting is
complete, a proposed course of implementation will be to having each employee
sign my notes, and receiving a copy. Once signed, they will be aware of their
strengths and weakness. It will be clear on what they must improve.
Another critical idea I would like to create is a system called Buddy Banker. The

Composer Franz Schubert As A Master Composer Of Songs
Viennese composer Franz Schubert is often regarded as a master composer of songs.
He is also known for creative and unexpected movement between keys in his
compositions. Dying at a tragically young age, Schubert managed to release an
enormous body of works, publishing over two hundred songs while alive. Despite this
already impressive output of songs, nothing stopped Schubert from composing
symphonies, chamber music, and solo works as well. Close analysis of his music
reveals how skillfully Schubert was able to set text, move fluidly to foreign keys,
and much more. In this paper, Schubert s vocal piece entitled Erlkönig and his
work for solo piano, Moments Musicaux 5 in F minor, will be explored more
deeply The text in Erlkönig begins and ends with a nameless narrator. He opens,
setting the scene, a father rides with his sick child in the night, racing to a nearby
farmhouse to get help for his son. Schubert s repeated octave staccato triplets suggest
the hoofbeats of the important fifth character, the horse, the vehicle of hope and
deliverance; the four minutes of his song convey the urgency of a ride against an
indistinct but baleful force (Bamforth). During the ride, the son recounts his
hallucination of the Erlking, the king of the elves, chasing them to his father. The
boy says the Erlking is promising the boy him, games, even his daughters, but his
father tries to calm him, sying these are only wind rustling in the leaves and
silhouettes of willow trees. In the
The Stranger Essay
The Stranger by Albert Camus conveys the story of Meursault; this is a man who
lives his life each day not believing that there is a Higher Power. The story begins
with him finding out that his mother has passed away at the elderly home he sent
her to live in. This is where readers begin to discover how apathetic Meursault is
about events occurring in his daily life. It is probable that if every person lived his
or her life the way Meursault does, with the disbelief that there is a Higher Power,
life as we understand it today would be substantially different. People would not be
trying to evade sin each day, morals would change without something greater
assisting to form them, and Man would no longer be fearful of a wretched afterlife if
they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These morals are what prevent the run of the mill person from doing wicked things.
These things could be breaking the law or not biting their tongue in the checkout line
at the grocery store. Meursault never spoke of any morals he had through the duration
of The Stranger; He killed a man without thinking of anything other than how hot it
was outside at the time. Once his case entered the courtroom, he stated, They [the
jury] had before them the basest of crimes, a crime made worse than sordid by the
fact that they were dealing with a monster, a man without morals. The jury looked
at him as if he was some evil monster that deserved the worse of punishment, purely
because he showed a lack of remorse for any of the actions he took. Someone could
commit the same crime, but be remorseful of what he had done, and would not
have gotten such a harsh punishment. People in a world with the belief of a Higher
Power that live life without morals are considered monsters and are looked down
on. If the world had no Higher Power, everyone would be that way. Everyone
would be considered a monster but no one would look down upon any body else
because they would not know any different. Crimes such as the one Meursault
committed would happen from people no one would expect, only because they are
not living by the same morals that people follow with the guidance of a Higher
Xenoestrogen Research Paper

a myth because a family can eat a healthy diet with fruits and vegetables that meets
the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, says Robert Post, associate executive director

Nancy Hellmich of USA Today. Does this healthy diet include the amount of
hormones, chemicals and preservatives that is added to our daily foodsource? Unless

harmful effects it does to our bodies, and how to avoid them all together.
So what is xenoestrogen? According to the medi lexicon website, xenoestrogens are
any of the by products of industrial or chemical processing that have estrogen like
effects. When we look at its Greek origin, the word xeno means alien or foreign, so
xenoestrogen literally means a foreign estrogen. Amy LaRue of the women in balance
website stated that, Xenoestrogens are a sub category of the endocrine disruptor
group that specifically have estrogen like effects. Estrogen is a natural hormone in
humans that is important for bone growth, blood clotting and reproduction in men
and women. The body

The Wedding Crashers Movie Analysis Essay
The Wedding Crasher Analysis In the 2005 film The Wedding Crashers directed
David Dobkin show many normal gender stereotypes and gender inequalities that are
still present in today s society. The film mainly focuses on two divorce mediators
Jeremy and John, who enjoy sneaking into wedding parties in order to get drunk off
free booze and seduce bridesmaids. Certainly, the film exposes the bromance
relationship that Jeremy and John have, which opposes the hegemonic masculinity
that society is accustomed to. Their attendance at Secretary Williams s party exhibits
the patriarch of a white, rich, and powerful man. And lastly the concept
objectification is the way men view women that is sexually without any emotion

Hegemonic masculinity is a particular clarity of masculinity to which others
among them young and effeminate as well as home sexual men are subordinated
(Kimmel 119). For instance, in the film The Wedding Crashers there is a scene
where John and Jeremy play football with William, Clearly, Sack lodge, and Clair
and Clearly. Jeremy keeps getting knocked out by Sack, who is purposely hurting
him to show that he is the Alpha man. He is demonstrating that he is strong and
aggressive. Jeremy shows weakness, therefore John calls him a pussy because he is
lacking on how men are supposed to be, meanwhile Sack shows traits of what a real
man should act and look like. The film really concentrates on this particular concept
throughout the film and it really discourages men into believing or thinking that they
can act sensibly, however it promotes men to act tougher, more aggressive in order to
be a man. Hegemonic masculinity is still very much common throughout society, and
it has for many centuries, but as described previously society is changing it slowly
proclaiming hope for men to withdraw from such a bizarre standards. In the same
matter, the United States is a great representation of how the concept of patriarchy
has evolved through time creating gender inequalities through society. Patriarchy is a
type of gender structure, where males dominate females (lecture). Another example of
the concept patriarchy is when John and Jeremy investigate and rehearse who they
A Brief History Of Drip Brew Coffee
Introduction: A Brief History
Drip brew coffee makers have existed since the early 1950 s. A drip brew coffee
maker is a device that pours boiling water over ground coffee beans in a slow
fashion, through the use of a filter system. As the water makes its way through the
beans, it absorbs the beans oils and aromas. The coffee grounds are retained in the
filter while the coffee is dripped into a pot. German inventor Melitta Bentz
introduced coffee filters in 1908. The majority of drip brew coffee makers use
paper filters while some use mesh filters. Paper filters are beneficial as they are
relatively inexpensive and the filter and grounds can easily be disposed of. Mesh
filters are also beneficial as they can easily be cleaned and reused an infinite
amount of times. In 1954, the first ever drip brew coffee maker was released onto
the market. It was called the Wigomat and was the first ever electric drip brew
coffee maker. A similar invention that was used to brew coffee in the early 1900 s
was a percolator. A coffee percolator is a pot, which allows boiling water to
circulate through the coffee grounds until desired intensity is acquired. Many were
disappointed with the percolator as it had the tendency to make coffee overly bitter.
Hence, in the 1970 s, drip brew coffee makers began to grow in popularity.
The Major Components: Introduction
Drip brew coffee is the most common method of coffee making in North America.
The majority of domestic coffee brewers use the same

Pain And Torment In We Wear The Mask
The speaker of We Wear the Mask talks about people covering their pain and
torment by smiling through the pain or hiding their true selves with a mask . They
question why the world should have to see their tears and sighs. The speaker
changes their focus and becomes more emotional, and cries for help for this feeling
of being forced to hide. The speaker cries for help by proclaiming, We smile, but, O
great Christ, our cries To thee from tortured souls arise. (lines 10 11). The repetition
of the word smile shows that they cover the same emotions up with the mask, which
suggests that when they start feeling emotional, they will smile to cover their agony.
When the speaker continues with the phrase O great Christ , they show that they

In chapter one it talks about how hemachromatosis is a hereditary disease and it s
the most common genetic disease for people of European descent, in which the
body can t register that it has enough iron. So it keeps absorbing as much of it as
possible, and this can have very, serious side effects (including death). Iron is very
important for bacteria, cancer, and other things to grow. The way this disease is
most easily treated is blood letting. Looks like all those crazy blood letting, leech
sticking doctors weren t mistreating everyone. What is the author s argument for why
this disease stuck around? To really simplify things: during the black plague in

Many Europeans died out. How does this relate to diabetes? Well, one thing that
sugar does is lower the freezing temperature of water. Pure water freezes at 32
degrees, but water with other substances in it, like sugar, freeze at much colder
temperatures. Our blood, being largely composed of water, then, would also freeze
at a lower temperature if it had higher levels of sugar. Brown fat is a type of fat that
the body produces in extremely cold temperatures that quickly burns sugar into
heat. Also a lot of greasy foods and fats also can cause diabetes. Consuming to
much of it can cause you to have a stroke or heart attack. So a diabetic in Northern
Europe during the Younger Dryas would have lived because their higher levels of
blood sugar would have kept their blood liquid and let their brown fat burn that sugar
into heat.
Chapter 3 Summary In chapter 3 Dr. Moalem talks about how cholesterol rises too.
Like when you consume alcohol, your body detoxifies it and then extracts calories
from it. It s a difficult process that involves many different enzymes and a lot of
organs, although most of the process takes place in the liver. First, an enzyme called
alcohol dehydrogenase converts the alcohol into another chemical called
acetaldehyde; another enzyme cleverly called acetaldehyde dehydrogenase converts
the acetaldehyde into acetate. And a third enzyme converts

Essay about Comparing Hitler and Napoleon
Comparing Hitler and Napoleon
There were differences between Hitler and Napoleon, however I feel there were more
similarities. They were both immigrants in the country they ended up ruling, both
conquered most of Europe, both had radical views about fighting, and both were very
quick in their fighting. However, the most significant similarities between the two
leaders is how they were accepted as monarchs in a previously democratic society,
and what they did for the countries after becoming monarchs.
Hitler and Napoleon were accepted as monarchs for three major reasons. Both
countries were hoping for the returning strength of the monarchy. The people of
Germany and France were tired of inflation, and threats of invasion, and both ... Show

By eliminating the economic crisis in their countries and establishing a feeling of
national security, they raised national pride and patriotism to amazing levels.
Both men also had similar radical views about fighting. Both called for a fight to the
death when enemy armies were approaching, and when their countries had exhausted
all of their manpower, they both used children and teens in their fighting. Hitler used
the Hitler youth, and Napoleon used the Marie Louises, who were only fifteen years
old. However, the speed of their fighting may be the most amazing.
Hitler, under his personal command and planning conquered all of Poland in only 24
days, and Napoleon conquered most of Austria and all of Sardinia in 9 days. They
both followed these victories with even larger, faster victories. Hitler took over the
Netherlands, Holland, Belgium and France in just 25 days, and Napoleon
conquered Italy and more of Austria ;in less than one year. This may not sound so
big, but Napoleon had only 30,000 soldiers to start with against over 100,000. Both
men took much from the countries they conquered. They sent back bullion, art and
other valuables. Both captured many soldiers and a large amount of supplies and
weapons as well. Their tactics were described as lightening wars by their oppositions.
Another, more interesting, similarity between Hitler and Napoleon was that they
Power And Effect Language In Imayam
Language is the most preferred method of communication in our life. It is the tool
we use not only to empower ourselves but also to direct our energy. Language has
immense power and its impact depends on how we use it. Writers, who know that
language has such power, use it to express their ideas and thoughts, whatever be
their genre. The novels and other works of writer Imayam exemplify the power and
effect language could have on the readers as it has become the medium of his
expression.

Reflection On Female Sexuality And Empowerment
This is an article female sexuality and empowerment. It is an important topic
because women are judged on their sexuality. It is expected that women be sexy
but not sexual, meaning to look the part, but do not act on it. We live in a world
where women are held to a different standard than men. Men are expected to sleep
around with many women; it gives them almost a god like complex while women
are shunned for sleeping around. Women should not feel shamed in having sex or
being sexy. Sex is the way we keep the world populated and is a natural part of life.
Yes, feminism has been around for quite some time, men and women are still not
treated as equals, especially when it comes to sexuality. Not only was it an
incredible workout, it gave me a sense of empowerment and made me feel sexy in
my own skin. I have never felt like a very sexy person and this class made me feel
that way. It is an activity that can boost a women s confidence and make her feel

is looked down upon because women are getting paid to take their clothes off for

talking to someone who was in this field at one time and she loved her job. She
said it made her feel empowered because she felt she had some power over the men
she was dancing for, not to mention it kept her body in amazing shape. I personally

What Is The Immorality Theme In To Kill A Mockingbird
Immorality is a theme that is clearly brought out in this short story, it is the acts of
doing things that are wrong these are the things that are not accepted in the society
and any person that is associated with them is declared as being an immoral person.
All the characters in the story have played parts in bringing out this theme of
immorality and it is very evident that in all their action immorality is clearly
outlined. The main character that has assisted in bringing out this theme is Martha
who in the beginning the story we are told is not even eighteen years old in the

Dear Olivia s Letter
Dear Olivia is a detailed reminisce of a girl who was bullied until she became
reclusive and wanted no contact with other people. She was sent many letters as
well as e mails to attempt to cheer her up and get her back into the outside world.
Later, with the help of her mother, she created a book with said letters as well as her
reactions to them. Some of the bullying that was described in the letters seemed a bit
unrealistic at times; the parent letter from Maggie was the most unrealistic
considering the circumstances. If something like throwing food happened often, then
the supervisors should have done something, or it should have been detailed that it is
not allowed in the school rules. It should not have escalated to the bullying stage,

How Does Marquez Use Imagery In One Of These Days
have always enjoyed the writings of Gabriel Garcia Marquez and selected the
story called One of These Days . In the story, we are introduced to Aurelio Escovar
a poor, uneducated dentist. Although brief, the story is full of interesting imagery.
One thing I observed as I read the story is that he seems to lack any sense of
urgency. It seems he simply begins this day as he does every other. No patients
arrive and he pauses to study some buzzards he can see from the window. Who
spends time contemplating buzzards as they sit on a nearby roof? Why are they
even there? After several hours of this, the mayor arrives and he refuses to see him.
The mayor threatens to shoot him and when Aurelio opens his drawer to reveal his
own gun it becomes clear that it is not simply a figure of speech. He still lacks any
urgency as he takes his time to respond and get set up to pull the mayor s tooth that is
ailing him, even with the threat of being shot lingering.... Show more content on

You don t get the sense that he is a happy man. Looking out his window he wonders
when it will rain so even the weather is dreary. The buzzards reinforce this
dreariness. Details given by Marquez, such as It was a poor office: an old wooden
chair, the pedal drill, a glass case with ceramic bottles and the crumbling ceiling and
a dusty spider web with spider s eggs and dead insects (Marquez, n.d.) lend
themselves to the bleak tone of the
Using A Sample Size Is Dependent On The Study Design
Research studies need not only start with efficient study design to address the
hypothesis of the study but also the determination of the appropriate number of
participants that will be involved in the study. It is true that the sample size is
dependent on the study design, on statistical analysis used to answer the study
questions, and on the anticipated association between the outcome and the risk factor.
The sample sizeshould not be too large as it wastes money and time both to the
investigators and participants in the study. It should not be too small as well
because it may lead to inaccurate results causing a waste of time and resources. In
addition, participates in a large sample size may be exposed to unnecessary risk.
Therefore, careful attention should be taken while determining the appropriate
sample size for any study as it raises the question of ethical practices.
Any researcher should define the main objective of the study or the research question
and the study design before selecting a representative sample size. Then the
proportion of participants, and the value of the numbers to put in the formula is
considered before determining the sample size. Kamangar Islami (2013) states that
the non statistical consideration in determining the sample size are the availability of
the fund, ethical issues, number of participants available, the novelty of the study,
and any similar studies being conducted etc. The investigators give the rationale why
their study is
Good Country People, a Review and Analysis Essay
Everyone wants to believe that they are beautiful. For this reason, we tend to seek
out that approval from others including our parents, friends, and other loved ones.
Flannery O Connor s story, Good Country People, focuses on this particular theme.
In her narrative, a young girl named Joy Hopewell longs for her mother s approval.
When she does not find it, Joy begins to believe that she is unworthy of anyone s
admiration. This basic premise allows for Manley Pointer to easily win Joy s trust.

For instance, Joy legally changes her name to Hulga. She changes her name from
Joy because she does not see herself as beautiful as such a name implies. In fact, the
narrator says, she had thought and thought until she had hit upon the ugliest name
in any language (132). Furthermore, Hulga never wears dresses or anything nice.
Instead, she chooses to wear a six year old skirt and a yellow sweat shirt with a
faded cowboy on a horse embossed on it (133). Hulga does not believe that any
amount of makeup or nice clothes can improve upon her ugliness. This low
confidence directly derives from her mother s dissatisfaction with her.
Because of her poor self image, Hulga Hopewell melts as soon as she sees that the
Bible salesman thinks that she is beautiful. He looks at her in a way that no one
else ever has before. Manley Pointer not only smiles at her, but gazes at her in
admiration and tenderness. The mere idea that this Bible salesman would be drawn
to her leaves Hulga in complete astonishment and wonder. The narrator describes
Hulga s fascination with the boy s fondness by saying, It was like surrendering to
him completely. It was like losing her own life and finding it again, miraculously, in
his (141). No one, including her mother, had ever seen Hulga as beautiful. For this
reason, Manley easily wins her trust, and ultimately, tricks her. Hulga s immediate

The Morket Of Thorns To Bring Sleeping Beauty
One of the major theme for this short story is the overwhelming fear of the outside
world. The author made it clear that the suburb the family lives in is white, wealthy,
and significant on rejection.
The family in Gordimer s fairy tale lives in a nice neighborhood, but as chaos occurs
nearby and houses are staring to be robbed, the residents of the neighborhood begin
to build and place security measures such as iron gates, bars on the windows and
placing alarm systems. But, every time the residents install even more security, they
re harming themselves instead of protecting their family. Because of the pets in the
house, they trip the alarms multiple times which causes people to think every time
the alarm goes off its just the pets which actually ... Show more content on

The family in the story loves each other very much and want the safety and protection
for each other, as shown in the opening. Their love for each other creates an
increasing fear of the interruption in the outside world. Their fear of crime encourages
them to isolate themselves from the outside world. The family took suggestions from
other people about protective measures and each time they were suggested one they
did not hesitate to put it up around their house. Their ambition to protect themselves
from the outside actually ends up killing one of their loved ones. The family
consistently believes that the outside world is the monster, yet through their fear, the
monster actually walks amongst them. In the desire to eradicate insecurity, disastrous
consequences result. It seems that Gordimer is suggesting that in the modern setting,
fear and insecurity is constant companions. Rather than seeking to eliminate them,
one might be better off in attempting to simply understand their presence and their
Internal Conflict In The Hunger Games
Katniss Internal Conflicts
In life there always seems to be some sort of violence and there always seems to be
a good and a bad side. Directed by Gary Ross, The Hunger Games is a movie about
24 tributes fighting to the death for the Hunger Games crown and freedom from
ever having to physically fight in the arena again. It is a game of violence, ferocity,
and blood, and only one tribute can win. Even though stories often have a Battle
between Good and Evil, it is Katniss s internal conflict confronting her own good and
evil that portrays humanity with a longing for destruction, violent inclination, and
sense of separation. When one loves a person or something dearly, then they have
the tendency to do almost anything they can to protect and save them from whatever
harm they come across. Katniss volunteered for the games knowing she was saving
her sister from a terrible fate. She made a promise that she would try her best to win
the Hunger Games, but her confidence in her own ability to kill another person was
minimal. She did not want to get any blood on her hands but knew that in order to
win she would be forced to. Crispin Sartwell recognized situations like these when he
said, your goodness, like mine, has little to do with who you are and everything to do
with the social conditions you find yourself in (Sartwell). The circumstance Katniss
found herself in was full of violence, pain, and ruthlessness which further contributed
to the tainting of her humanity
Bioprospection Analysis Essay
In silico bioprospection analysis is the process and application for the development of
a novel natural product that can be achieved from utilizing digital information

The Deathly Hallows And The Book Vs Book
Harry Potter has lots of differences between the movies and books. Even if they
may appear similar on the surface, they are very dissimilar once you look beyond
the outer similarities. The best movie/book to contrast is the first movie of the
deathly hallows and the book, mainly because it has the greatest similarities
between the book and the movies. The possible reason why the movie has the least
amount of major differences is because, It was split into two parts which allowed it
to remain more loyal to the original text. There are ten differences between them
but there are some noticeable differences which do not contract very much from
the overall quality of the movie. The first difference is, that we see Hermione
oblivate her parents memories. Oblivate means to erase a person s memory using
a magic spell. At the beginning of the movie it starts with a touching series of
vignettes showing Hermione, Ron, and, Harry preparing for their journey, and this
is only described after these events in the book. In the vignettes, we see Hermione
holding back tears, as she is wiping her parents memories, which she does to protect
her parents from their enemies the death eaters and Voldemort. It is a touching way
to set up the movie, it reminds the audience that the movie is as much about Ron
and Hermione, as it is about Harry. The second alteration is when Harry escapes
from the Dursleys. A couple of the opening scenes were cut, for instance not showing

Pros And Cons Of Chemical Castration
For centuries, society has said, the punishment should fit the crime, but at what
point do we reach a line we aren t willing to cross. Sexual assault is a serious
problem we are faced with every day, and it does not discriminate between men,
women, or children. In fact, every 98 seconds, someone is sexually assaulted in
America and every 8th minute of that, the victim is a child. Mandatory chemical
castrationin convicted sex offenders is a debate that has long been analyzed and
attacked from both sides and each have shown to offer valid points, but the deterrence
and recidivism rates have proven that rendering a sexual offender impotent with
chemical castration is more effective than prison, can free the offender of unwanted
sexual urges, and shows we take this issue seriously by putting the victims rights
above the predator.
When considering the pros and cons of effectiveness between chemical castration
vs prison, studies performed have given us ample choices to discuss in favor of
castration. At the very top of that list, we have money. Who doesn t love to save a
dollar here and there? Or a few thousand, to be exact. On average, it costs tax
payers in the United States, $51,286 a year to house an inmate in prison, with the
most expensive state being California, costing north of $80,000. On the other hand,
chemical castration costs approximately $9,000 a year for testosterone lowering
drugs and funding is the sole responsibility of the offender. What if they refuse to
pay for the medication or are financially incapable of it, you ask? Even when paired
with the necessary psychological treatment, the drug program for a sex offender
would still cost less than half for tax payers than prison housing. Furthermore, we
can prove the effectiveness of castration thanks to studies conducted and documented
over decades on recidivism. One performed out of a California maximum security
prison, observed 260 convicted sexual predators once released. They were divided
into two groups; medicated and non treated, and then divided into two sub groups;
rapists, and child molesters. Treatment results varied based on the type of sexual
offender, but the one consistency to the study was that in both groups, the rate of
Persuasive Essay On Underage Drinking
Almost everyone can agree that alcohol should not be given or allowed to children
or young adults under a certain age. Alcohol is a substance that is very dangerous
and if you used incorrectly or immaturely the consequences can be great danger to
the users or the ones around them. The topic of lowering the drinking age has been
in discussion for many decades. Between 1970 and 1976, 29 states lowered their age
for drinking alcohol. The results were catastrophic. Highway deaths among teenagers
and young adults skyrocketed. Almost immediately, states began raising the
minimum drinking age again. In 1984, Congress passed the Uniform Drinking Age
Act, which required states to have a minimum drinking age of 21 for all types of
alcohol... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alcohol leads to other drugs and substance abuse, too. If the drinking age were to
lower to eighteen, this would not change the actions of young partiers. Alcohol
should be forbidden to 18 to 20 year olds precisely because they have a propensity
to binge drink whether the stuff is illegal or not especially males (Main). Drinking
alcohol usually leads to other illegal substances. Youths who report drinking prior
to the age of 15 are more likely to develop substance abuse problems, to engage in
risky sexual behavior, and to experience other negative consequences in
comparison to those who begin at a later time (U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services). Another reason to keep the drinking age at 21 is that drinking
slows the reaction time and also makes it to where the drinker has less control of
his or her body. For example a male who becomes drunk is more likely to rape
young women. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
It is estimated that 90% of college rapes involve the use of alcohol by the assailant,
the victim, or both. About 97,000 college students are victims of sexual assault or
date rape related to alcohol use each year. Alcohol use is involved in 95% of all
violent crime on college campuses ( Underage Drinking Is a Serious Problem ).
According to Carla T. Main, approximately 100,000 incidents annually are reported of

A Midsummer s Night Dream Act Two Journal
Titania claims at Oberon s current frustrations with their relationship are the forgeries
of jealousy. What else, in your opinion, has the ability to poison/taint love? And, in
what ways can such love be restored?
In the play A Midsummer s Night Dream by William Shakespeare it is shown that love
is as delicate as glass; ones broken, it can be fixed, but there will always be cracks.
Queen Titania faces conflicts with her king, Oberon. The conflict Titania faces is
man vs. man, Titania vs. Oberon. Titania claims at Oberon s current frustrations
with their relationship are the forgeries of jealousy (2.1.82). Titania and Oberon s
relationship is poisoning due to Oberon s jealousy over the Indian prince, also
Oberon s is creating lies about Titania causing their relationship to poison. Lies,
jealousy, miscommunication and holding grudges have the ability to poison a
relationship. When all these get to an extreme we can lead a couple ending their

Demand, Supply And Elasticity
Demand, supply and elasticity are basic economic concepts that when applied to
different markets can help governments and individuals make informed decisions
about things as basic as what to purchase and how to collect taxes. UEA s Norwich
Medical School and the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York,
conducted a survey across nearly 18,000 adult commuters from around the UK
over 18 years. A group of researchers analysed the well being of a small group who
swapped their cars or the public bus for a bike or going on foot. They re results
found that those who made the switch became happier. Demand is a curve showing
the various amounts of a product consumers want and can purchase at different
prices during a specific period of time. Supply is a curve showing the different
amounts of a product suppliers are willing to provide at different prices.
Equilibrium price and quantity are determined by the intersection of demand and
supply. Price elasticity of demand (PED) indicates the responsiveness of
consumers to a change in price, and is reflected in the relative slope of demand.
Production possibilities curves (PPC) show the maximum production of goods that
can be produced by an economy. Given that all of the resources are being used
fully and efficiently and the technology is fixed in the economy, shown in Figure 1
is a PPC curve of the market of cars and bicycles. If production is devoted mostly to
cars, at point A, then the quantity produced of cars, VA, will
Difference Between Actus Reus And Mens Rea
INTRODUCTION
Actus reus and mens rea are the two most fundamental element necessary to prove
that a crime is committed However, some crimes such as those which fall under the
strict liability category does not require a proof of mens rea. It is said that within the
actus reus, there must be both a voluntary act and a consequent result. There are,
however, some exceptions to the voluntary act requirement known as omissions. This
essay will focus on the duties of care under which the actus reus of a crime can be
committed through omission. However, there are some crimes that cannot be
committed through omission e.g. assault and constructive manslaughter.
Generally speaking the law punishes positive act. However, when an omission
contributes to an offence and a duty to act can be established, criminal liability can
occur. Some countries such as the United States of America have what is known as

The Theme Of Adoption In Worse By Christopher Marlowe
A flock of sheep wanders as the all seeing shepherd meanders nearby. He watches
them closely as they consume their daily vittles provided by nature, making sure
not even one sheep goes astray, or that any predator comes to disrupt the supposed
bliss. The shepherd s love for his flock is that of presumed perfection. He maintains
the assumption that as long as he guards the flock and provides ample grazing land,
the flock will provide him with copious amounts of wool: that their relationship will
be all right. Unfortunately, this simply may not be true; his flock can produce the
wool or it may suffer from an unexpected disease or any other ailment and their
presumed relationship will fail. As Christopher Marlowe so elegantly presented in The

Throughout the novel Hata does not truly need love in the sense of modern terms, he
needs success and to make his lineage proud. Hata believes that women s roles are
that of sheep to provide for men when provided for but to his dismay, this is simply
not true. Chang rae Lee captures this perfectly; never before would a woman such
as Kkutaeh, Sunny, or Mary ever deny the shepherdship of a strong, successful
man. With the power shift in gender throughout modern history, women have
gained much more power and have more ability to be their own shepherd than ever
before. No longer will a man like Jiro Kurohata be able to have a successful flock
of heirs if he does not adapt to how women have changed. Women today are much
stronger than their ancestors of sheep, they no longer accept protection in exchange
for their wool. Doc Hata s quixotic promises will appeal to primal side of women,
but since human relationships have developed into being much more than just the
need of protection, his promises prove to be insufficient in sufficing his loves with
their true needs: a person who will provide them a deeper emotional understanding
and not just a gesture
Difference Between Aristotle And Montaigne
Aristotle and Montaigne are two different philosophers, Aristotle is ancient
philosopher while Montaigne is a modern philosopher. Aristotle believes friendship
occurs between virtuous people and the goal is to help one another reach their
absolute best. Montaigne believes a friend is another self resulting from a fusion of
wills. The main focus of this paper is to assess Montaigne s philosophy and Aristotle
s philosophy on their view of loveand judge which view of love is more convincing
to a reasonable human being. Between Aristotle and Montaigne, Montaigne s view of
love is more convincing to a reasonable human being because friendshipis more
complex and complicated than categorizing friendship into different levels.
Aristotle s view of love is philia, while on the other hand Montaigne s view of love
is pragma. Philia is the deep comradely friendship about showing loyalty and pragma
is the deep understanding between two people. Montaigne strongly believes
friendship should be an unconstrained product of will, while Aristotle uses a rather
categorical approach to friendship, utility, pleasure, and virtue. By making strict
delineations and then using examples, he establishes a rather strict definition of
friendship that is created along lines of social class. He argues, among other things,
that friendship must be between similarly virtuous men of equal standing. In addition,
the purest form of friendship, and the one that Aristotle considers the only genuine
friendship,
A Research Study On Clinical Research

research that is conducted in a hospital setting and correlates to patients. I would be
developing my research skills in a laboratory setting while also developing
intrapersonal skills working with patients. The research that I have conducted at the
University of Richmond has been invaluable; however, I plan on applying to an MD

Essay On Work Is A Blessing
Many people today find themselves in dead end jobs, or they feel like work is
purposeless and frustrating. At the same time, some people figured out that work
is a blessing to them. People who suffer their lives in a slavery for many years in
another country, think that work is a curse because they were ruled by people.
They work because they are forced by other people. Work is a blessing for most
people, but for some people work is a curse because of the lack of opportunity.
Work is a blessing for those who understand it. To understand that work is a blessing
was one of true understanding the purpose of life. It is important because not
knowing the purpose of life brought people depressed. As Honore said I m retired
from the Army, but... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Working set people free from their stressed, frustrated, debts, loneliness, and lead
them to a happy life. Even rich people need a job because doing nothing made them
bored and could not have peace in their life. According to Honore said I have come
to believe that people without jobs are not free (page.137). It is totally true that
people without jobs are not free because people without a job became homeless,
street gang members, and slave. Also, people without jobs became to do suicide
because they felt their life was empty and felt depressed. Being able to work is a
blessing for life because not everyone can work even though they wanted to work.
Think about this. What if a patient said I wanted to work for my people and for my
country. Is that will be possible to work for him, according to the person s
situation? People just noticed that the benefits of having a job when they did not
have the ability to work. Especially, they noticed being able to work is a blessing
when they were sick. In a day when many people are looking for work, people should
be thankful for having a job. As Honore father said Even having a job you hate is
better than not having a job at all (pg.137). It is a blessing that they are able to
work. Work is a blessing for life because work helps people donate to missions at
home and abroad. Those funds might help a teen center, get kids off the streets, or it
might provide food and clothes for an orphanage clear across the world.
Analysis Of David Ives The Blizzard
David Ives The Blizzard does a good job of making people analyze their selves and
their everyday life. His drama has the capabilities of making people ask many
questions about themselves. Why do I follow a routine? Why do I settle for the
same things over and over again? How do I break this cycle? What could I be
doing differently with my life? It makes many people realize just how routine
oriented they are. It also brings to light the fear and unwillingness to change that
some people have. In the beginning of the play, Neil discussed his concerns about
their everyday routine with Jenny. He expresses his wish for change to her and
explains that they should change up their routine when their guests arrive to their
new house (856). The characters Salim and Natasha are introduced to not only
emphasize his wishes, but to also shed light to Jenny s fear of change. Neil is
confused by the two strangers when they first arrive, but as Salim uses his own
words against him, Neil accepts him as his brother much like people acceptchange.
Jenny is wary of the strangers, and even with Natasha s assurance that she has
nothing to be afraid of, she still will not accept her (859). There are many reasons
why people fear change. One of the major reasons is the loss of control that can be
experienced during change. They fear that they will lose control of their territory
and they lose their sense of self defense (Ten Reasons People Resist Change). This is
shown when in Jenny s

Introduction The Ezra Siyadhuba Archaeological Research Project proposes to
investigate the changing patterns of political and social organization in Southern
Africa during the 19th century. The project focuses on how social and economic
practices were transformed by the way the political system of the state worked on
the people. The study will answer the questions asked about whether the Ndebele
people who migrated continued with their political and social status that they had
before in Kwazulu Natal. Data will be collected by archaeological survey and test
excavations over a series of three field seasons between July 2015 and September

economic changes from these two sites and compare whether they are parallel. The
artifacts collected will be put in the museum so that people who wants to learn about
these changes will have access to the artifacts. This project will answer all the
questions posed by the archeologists and will also help in teaching students interested
in African cultures. Project Description. This research tend to investigate, apply and

Essay Reference Page. APA Style Essay Format: Examples, Outline EssayPro

  • 1. Essay Reference Page Crafting an essay on the subject of an "Essay Reference Page" can be a challenging task that requires attention to detail, adherence to formatting guidelines, and a thorough understanding of various citation styles. The reference page is a critical component of any well-written essay, as it serves as a testament to the credibility of the sources used and allows readers to delve deeper into the referenced material. One of the difficulties in creating an essay on this topic lies in the meticulous nature of referencing. It involves accurately citing each source used within the essay, following the specific citation style required (such as APA, MLA, Chicago, or others). Each citation style has its own set of rules and nuances, adding an additional layer of complexity to the task. A slight error in formatting or citation can compromise the integrity of the reference page and, consequently, the entire essay. Another challenge is the need for a comprehensive understanding of the sources themselves. Writers must not only provide correct and consistent citations but also demonstrate a clear understanding of the content they are referencing. This requires a careful review and analysis of each source to ensure accurate representation and incorporation into the essay's argument. Furthermore, staying up-to-date with the latest changes in citation guidelines can be demanding. Citation styles often undergo revisions, and keeping abreast of these changes is crucial to maintaining the accuracy and relevance of the reference page. In conclusion, writing an essay on the "Essay Reference Page" can be a demanding task due to the attention to detail required, the adherence to citation styles, and the need for a comprehensive understanding of the sources used. Nevertheless, mastering these challenges is essential for producing scholarly and well-documented essays. For assistance with similar essays and more, individuals may explore resources such as HelpWriting.net, where professional writing services offer support for various topics and academic requirements. The role of counterintelligence from both sides the US and Al Qaeda, lent to the information flow not only form the attackers but also to the ones who would ultimately respond. The FBI, the CIA, the DIA, have integral parts in these series of events from the information collection to the information flow. This information was not just a learned concept from Al Qaeda prior to the 9/11 attack but prior to 9/11 with other attacks as well. One of these areas of instruction was how to infiltrate into enemy territory as well as how to blend into the western world not to arouse suspicion. These lessons also included how to make the cover story more believable and meeting clandestinely. Many of these tactics are similar in the approach that many international criminal organizations and even nations conduct deception and denial operations. Before the invasion by the US in 2001, many of these strategies and concepts were taught throughout the training camps in Afghanistan and recently

I think being an adult means, being able to support yourself; as in having a steady paying job, and most importantly being accountable to yourself. Being able to make your own decisions without asking a parentor model figure first, is an example of having an identity status of a moratorium. One with this type of mindset as a young adult, will weigh their options and consider their values and what they believe themselves, whether it s their own thoughtbranched off of their parents guidance, or it is completely their own ideaand they explore to see what their views are. At Wells Fargo, I plan to incorporate a system where each employee gains the skills necessary so that each task runs efficiently. To begin, I will start observing each banker s, and each teller s normal routine. I will be listening carefully to the conversations the tellers, and bankers are having with customers. As an observer, I will be taking notes on what the employee s strengths and weakness are when lobbying to a customer, and working with coworkers. I will continue this process for a week. Once the week is completed, I will have one on one meetings with each employee. After the employee s one on one meeting is complete, a proposed course of implementation will be to having each employee sign my notes, and receiving a copy. Once signed, they will be aware of their strengths and weakness. It will be clear on what they must improve. Another critical idea I would like to create is a system called Buddy Banker. The ideal is
  • 5. Composer Franz Schubert As A Master Composer Of Songs Viennese composer Franz Schubert is often regarded as a master composer of songs. He is also known for creative and unexpected movement between keys in his compositions. Dying at a tragically young age, Schubert managed to release an enormous body of works, publishing over two hundred songs while alive. Despite this already impressive output of songs, nothing stopped Schubert from composing symphonies, chamber music, and solo works as well. Close analysis of his music reveals how skillfully Schubert was able to set text, move fluidly to foreign keys, and much more. In this paper, Schubert s vocal piece entitled ErlkГ¶nig and his work for solo piano, Moments Musicaux 5 in F minor, will be explored more deeply The text in ErlkГ¶nig begins and ends with a nameless narrator. He opens, setting the scene, a father rides with his sick child in the night, racing to a nearby farmhouse to get help for his son. Schubert s repeated octave staccato triplets suggest the hoofbeats of the important fifth character, the horse, the vehicle of hope and deliverance; the four minutes of his song convey the urgency of a ride against an indistinct but baleful force (Bamforth). During the ride, the son recounts his hallucination of the Erlking, the king of the elves, chasing them to his father. The boy says the Erlking is promising the boy him, games, even his daughters, but his father tries to calm him, sying these are only wind rustling in the leaves and silhouettes of willow trees. • 6. The Stranger Essay The Stranger by Albert Camus conveys the story of Meursault; this is a man who lives his life each day not believing that there is a Higher Power. The story begins with him finding out that his mother has passed away at the elderly home he sent her to live in. This is where readers begin to discover how apathetic Meursault is about events occurring in his daily life. It is probable that if every person lived his or her life the way Meursault does, with the disbelief that there is a Higher Power, life as we understand it today would be substantially different. People would not be trying to evade sin each day, morals would change without something greater assisting to form them, and Man would no longer be fearful of a wretched afterlife if they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These morals are what prevent the run of the mill person from doing wicked things. These things could be breaking the law or not biting their tongue in the checkout line at the grocery store. Meursault never spoke of any morals he had through the duration of The Stranger; He killed a man without thinking of anything other than how hot it was outside at the time. Once his case entered the courtroom, he stated, They [the jury] had before them the basest of crimes, a crime made worse than sordid by the fact that they were dealing with a monster, a man without morals. The jury looked at him as if he was some evil monster that deserved the worse of punishment, purely because he showed a lack of remorse for any of the actions he took. Someone could commit the same crime, but be remorseful of what he had done, and would not have gotten such a harsh punishment. People in a world with the belief of a Higher Power that live life without morals are considered monsters and are looked down on. If the world had no Higher Power, everyone would be that way. Everyone would be considered a monster but no one would look down upon any body else because they would not know any different. Crimes such as the one Meursault committed would happen from people no one would expect, only because they are not living by the same morals that people follow with the guidance of a Higher

The Wedding Crashers Movie Analysis Essay The Wedding Crasher Analysis In the 2005 film The Wedding Crashers directed David Dobkin show many normal gender stereotypes and gender inequalities that are still present in today s society. The film mainly focuses on two divorce mediators Jeremy and John, who enjoy sneaking into wedding parties in order to get drunk off free booze and seduce bridesmaids. Certainly, the film exposes the bromance relationship that Jeremy and John have, which opposes the hegemonic masculinity that society is accustomed to. For instance, in the film The Wedding Crashers there is a scene where John and Jeremy play football with William, Clearly, Sack lodge, and Clair and Clearly. Jeremy keeps getting knocked out by Sack, who is purposely hurting him to show that he is the Alpha man. He is demonstrating that he is strong and aggressive. Jeremy shows weakness, therefore John calls him a pussy because he is lacking on how men are supposed to be, meanwhile Sack shows traits of what a real man should act and look like. The film really concentrates on this particular concept throughout the film and it really discourages men into believing or thinking that they can act sensibly, however it promotes men to act tougher, more aggressive in order to be a man. A drip brew coffee maker is a device that pours boiling water over ground coffee beans in a slow fashion, through the use of a filter system. As the water makes its way through the beans, it absorbs the beans oils and aromas. The coffee grounds are retained in the filter while the coffee is dripped into a pot. German inventor Melitta Bentz introduced coffee filters in 1908. The majority of drip brew coffee makers use paper filters while some use mesh filters. Paper filters are beneficial as they are relatively inexpensive and the filter and grounds can easily be disposed of. Mesh filters are also beneficial as they can easily be cleaned and reused an infinite amount of times. In 1954, the first ever drip brew coffee maker was released onto the market. It was called the Wigomat and was the first ever electric drip brew coffee maker. A similar invention that was used to brew coffee in the early 1900 s was a percolator. A coffee percolator is a pot, which allows boiling water to circulate through the coffee grounds until desired intensity is acquired. Many were disappointed with the percolator as it had the tendency to make coffee overly bitter. Hence, in the 1970 s, drip brew coffee makers began to grow in popularity. The Major Components: Introduction Drip brew coffee is the most common method of coffee making in North America. The majority of domestic coffee brewers use the same

So it keeps absorbing as much of it as possible, and this can have very, serious side effects (including death). Iron is very important for bacteria, cancer, and other things to grow. The way this disease is most easily treated is blood letting. Looks like all those crazy blood letting, leech sticking doctors weren t mistreating everyone. What is the author s argument for why this disease stuck around? To really simplify things: during the black plague in Europe, people with more iron in their system were more likely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many Europeans died out. How does this relate to diabetes? Well, one thing that sugar does is lower the freezing temperature of water. Pure water freezes at 32 degrees, but water with other substances in it, like sugar, freeze at much colder temperatures. Our blood, being largely composed of water, then, would also freeze at a lower temperature if it had higher levels of sugar. Brown fat is a type of fat that the body produces in extremely cold temperatures that quickly burns sugar into heat. Also a lot of greasy foods and fats also can cause diabetes. Consuming to much of it can cause you to have a stroke or heart attack. So a diabetic in Northern Europe during the Younger Dryas would have lived because their higher levels of blood sugar would have kept their blood liquid and let their brown fat burn that sugar into heat. Chapter 3 Summary In chapter 3 Dr. Moalem talks about how cholesterol rises too. Like when you consume alcohol, your body detoxifies it and then extracts calories from it. It s a difficult process that involves many different enzymes and a lot of organs, although most of the process takes place in the liver. First, an enzyme called alcohol dehydrogenase converts the alcohol into another chemical called acetaldehyde; another enzyme cleverly called acetaldehyde dehydrogenase converts the acetaldehyde into acetate. Hitler used the Hitler youth, and Napoleon used the Marie Louises, who were only fifteen years old. However, the speed of their fighting may be the most amazing. Hitler, under his personal command and planning conquered all of Poland in only 24 days, and Napoleon conquered most of Austria and all of Sardinia in 9 days. Another, more interesting, similarity between Hitler and Napoleon was that they

Using A Sample Size Is Dependent On The Study Design Research studies need not only start with efficient study design to address the hypothesis of the study but also the determination of the appropriate number of participants that will be involved in the study. It is true that the sample size is dependent on the study design, on statistical analysis used to answer the study questions, and on the anticipated association between the outcome and the risk factor. The sample sizeshould not be too large as it wastes money and time both to the investigators and participants in the study. It should not be too small as well because it may lead to inaccurate results causing a waste of time and resources. In addition, participates in a large sample size may be exposed to unnecessary risk. Therefore, careful attention should be taken while determining the appropriate sample size for any study as it raises the question of ethical practices. Any researcher should define the main objective of the study or the research question and the study design before selecting a representative sample size. Then the proportion of participants, and the value of the numbers to put in the formula is considered before determining the sample size. Kamangar Islami (2013) states that the non statistical consideration in determining the sample size are the availability of the fund, ethical issues, number of participants available, the novelty of the study, and any similar studies being conducted etc. The investigators give the rationale why their study is

Directed by Gary Ross, The Hunger Games is a movie about 24 tributes fighting to the death for the Hunger Games crown and freedom from ever having to physically fight in the arena again. It is a game of violence, ferocity, and blood, and only one tribute can win. Even though stories often have a Battle between Good and Evil, it is Katniss s internal conflict confronting her own good and evil that portrays humanity with a longing for destruction, violent inclination, and sense of separation. When one loves a person or something dearly, then they have the tendency to do almost anything they can to protect and save them from whatever harm they come across. Katniss volunteered for the games knowing she was saving her sister from a terrible fate. She made a promise that she would try her best to win the Hunger Games, but her confidence in her own ability to kill another person was minimal. She did not want to get any blood on her hands but knew that in order to win she would be forced to. Crispin Sartwell recognized situations like these when he said, your goodness, like mine, has little to do with who you are and everything to do with the social conditions you find yourself in (Sartwell). The circumstance Katniss found herself in was full of violence, pain, and ruthlessness which further contributed to the tainting of her humanity

Bioprospection Analysis Essay In silico bioprospection analysis is the process and application for the development of a novel natural product that can be achieved from utilizing digital information scattered all across web network in a systematic and scientifically validated manner. The present chapter provides the outcome of the analysis of web based classical data search, matrix linked data mining followed by fuzzy logic based optimization and validation using molecular docking analysis. Such analysis identified potent nutraceuticals with a physiological functional indicator of combined effects of progression of multi drug resistant (MDR) Salmonella typhimurium (S. typhimurium) infections in pre existing inflammatory disorder (RA). • 30. The Deathly Hallows And The Book Vs Book Harry Potter has lots of differences between the movies and books. Even if they may appear similar on the surface, they are very dissimilar once you look beyond the outer similarities. The best movie/book to contrast is the first movie of the deathly hallows and the book, mainly because it has the greatest similarities between the book and the movies. The possible reason why the movie has the least amount of major differences is because, It was split into two parts which allowed it to remain more loyal to the original text. There are ten differences between them but there are some noticeable differences which do not contract very much from the overall quality of the movie. The first difference is, that we see Hermione oblivate her parents memories. Oblivate means to erase a person s memory using a magic spell. At the beginning of the movie it starts with a touching series of vignettes showing Hermione, Ron, and, Harry preparing for their journey, and this is only described after these events in the book. In the vignettes, we see Hermione holding back tears, as she is wiping her parents memories, which she does to protect her parents from their enemies the death eaters and Voldemort. It is a touching way to set up the movie, it reminds the audience that the movie is as much about Ron and Hermione, as it is about Harry. The second alteration is when Harry escapes from the Dursleys. A couple of the opening scenes were cut, for instance not showing Harry s farewell to the
  • 31. Pros And Cons Of Chemical Castration For centuries, society has said, the punishment should fit the crime, but at what point do we reach a line we aren t willing to cross. Sexual assault is a serious problem we are faced with every day, and it does not discriminate between men, women, or children. In fact, every 98 seconds, someone is sexually assaulted in America and every 8th minute of that, the victim is a child. Mandatory chemical castrationin convicted sex offenders is a debate that has long been analyzed and attacked from both sides and each have shown to offer valid points, but the deterrence and recidivism rates have proven that rendering a sexual offender impotent with chemical castration is more effective than prison, can free the offender of unwanted sexual urges, and shows we take this issue seriously by putting the victims rights above the predator. When considering the pros and cons of effectiveness between chemical castration vs prison, studies performed have given us ample choices to discuss in favor of castration. At the very top of that list, we have money. Who doesn t love to save a dollar here and there? Or a few thousand, to be exact. On average, it costs tax payers in the United States, $51,286 a year to house an inmate in prison, with the most expensive state being California, costing north of $80,000. On the other hand, chemical castration costs approximately $9,000 a year for testosterone lowering drugs and funding is the sole responsibility of the offender. What if they refuse to pay for the medication or are financially incapable of it, you ask? Even when paired with the necessary psychological treatment, the drug program for a sex offender would still cost less than half for tax payers than prison housing. Furthermore, we can prove the effectiveness of castration thanks to studies conducted and documented over decades on recidivism. One performed out of a California maximum security prison, observed 260 convicted sexual predators once released. They were divided into two groups; medicated and non treated, and then divided into two sub groups; rapists, and child molesters. Treatment results varied based on the type of sexual offender, but the one consistency to the study was that in both groups, the rate of
  • 32. Persuasive Essay On Underage Drinking Almost everyone can agree that alcohol should not be given or allowed to children or young adults under a certain age. Alcohol is a substance that is very dangerous and if you used incorrectly or immaturely the consequences can be great danger to the users or the ones around them. The topic of lowering the drinking age has been in discussion for many decades. Between 1970 and 1976, 29 states lowered their age for drinking alcohol. The results were catastrophic. Highway deaths among teenagers and young adults skyrocketed. Almost immediately, states began raising the minimum drinking age again. In 1984, Congress passed the Uniform Drinking Age Act, which required states to have a minimum drinking age of 21 for all types of alcohol... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alcohol leads to other drugs and substance abuse, too. If the drinking age were to lower to eighteen, this would not change the actions of young partiers. Alcohol should be forbidden to 18 to 20 year olds precisely because they have a propensity to binge drink whether the stuff is illegal or not especially males (Main). Drinking alcohol usually leads to other illegal substances. Youths who report drinking prior to the age of 15 are more likely to develop substance abuse problems, to engage in risky sexual behavior, and to experience other negative consequences in comparison to those who begin at a later time (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services). Another reason to keep the drinking age at 21 is that drinking slows the reaction time and also makes it to where the drinker has less control of his or her body. For example a male who becomes drunk is more likely to rape young women. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services It is estimated that 90% of college rapes involve the use of alcohol by the assailant, the victim, or both. About 97,000 college students are victims of sexual assault or date rape related to alcohol use each year. Alcohol use is involved in 95% of all violent crime on college campuses ( Underage Drinking Is a Serious Problem ). According to Carla T. Main, approximately 100,000 incidents annually are reported of males sexually [assaulting] their

A Midsummer s Night Dream Act Two Journal Titania claims at Oberon s current frustrations with their relationship are the forgeries of jealousy. What else, in your opinion, has the ability to poison/taint love? And, in what ways can such love be restored? In the play A Midsummer s Night Dream by William Shakespeare it is shown that love is as delicate as glass; ones broken, it can be fixed, but there will always be cracks. Queen Titania faces conflicts with her king, Oberon. The conflict Titania faces is man vs. man, Titania vs. Oberon. Demand, Supply And Elasticity Demand, supply and elasticity are basic economic concepts that when applied to different markets can help governments and individuals make informed decisions about things as basic as what to purchase and how to collect taxes. UEA s Norwich Medical School and the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York, conducted a survey across nearly 18,000 adult commuters from around the UK over 18 years. A group of researchers analysed the well being of a small group who swapped their cars or the public bus for a bike or going on foot. They re results found that those who made the switch became happier. Demand is a curve showing the various amounts of a product consumers want and can purchase at different prices during a specific period of time. Supply is a curve showing the different amounts of a product suppliers are willing to provide at different prices. Equilibrium price and quantity are determined by the intersection of demand and supply. Price elasticity of demand (PED) indicates the responsiveness of consumers to a change in price, and is reflected in the relative slope of demand. Production possibilities curves (PPC) show the maximum production of goods that can be produced by an economy. Given that all of the resources are being used fully and efficiently and the technology is fixed in the economy, shown in Figure 1 is a PPC curve of the market of cars and bicycles. If production is devoted mostly to cars, at point A, then the quantity produced of cars, VA, will

Difference Between Actus Reus And Mens Rea INTRODUCTION Actus reus and mens rea are the two most fundamental element necessary to prove that a crime is committed However, some crimes such as those which fall under the strict liability category does not require a proof of mens rea. It is said that within the actus reus, there must be both a voluntary act and a consequent result. There are, however, some exceptions to the voluntary act requirement known as omissions. This essay will focus on the duties of care under which the actus reus of a crime can be committed through omission. However, there are some crimes that cannot be committed through omission e.g. assault and constructive manslaughter. Generally speaking the law punishes positive act. He watches them closely as they consume their daily vittles provided by nature, making sure not even one sheep goes astray, or that any predator comes to disrupt the supposed bliss. The shepherd s love for his flock is that of presumed perfection. He maintains the assumption that as long as he guards the flock and provides ample grazing land, the flock will provide him with copious amounts of wool: that their relationship will be all right. Unfortunately, this simply may not be true; his flock can produce the wool or it may suffer from an unexpected disease or any other ailment and their presumed relationship will fail. As Christopher Marlowe so elegantly presented in The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Throughout the novel Hata does not truly need love in the sense of modern terms, he needs success and to make his lineage proud. Hata believes that women s roles are that of sheep to provide for men when provided for but to his dismay, this is simply not true. Chang rae Lee captures this perfectly; never before would a woman such as Kkutaeh, Sunny, or Mary ever deny the shepherdship of a strong, successful man. With the power shift in gender throughout modern history, women have gained much more power and have more ability to be their own shepherd than ever before. No longer will a man like Jiro Kurohata be able to have a successful flock of heirs if he does not adapt to how women have changed. Women today are much stronger than their ancestors of sheep, they no longer accept protection in exchange for their wool. Doc Hata s quixotic promises will appeal to primal side of women, but since human relationships have developed into being much more than just the need of protection, his promises prove to be insufficient in sufficing his loves with their true needs: a person who will provide them a deeper emotional understanding and not just a gesture
  • 37. Difference Between Aristotle And Montaigne Aristotle and Montaigne are two different philosophers, Aristotle is ancient philosopher while Montaigne is a modern philosopher. Aristotle believes friendship occurs between virtuous people and the goal is to help one another reach their absolute best. Montaigne believes a friend is another self resulting from a fusion of wills. The main focus of this paper is to assess Montaigne s philosophy and Aristotle s philosophy on their view of loveand judge which view of love is more convincing to a reasonable human being. Between Aristotle and Montaigne, Montaigne s view of love is more convincing to a reasonable human being because friendshipis more complex and complicated than categorizing friendship into different levels. Aristotle s view of love is philia, while on the other hand Montaigne s view of love is pragma. Philia is the deep comradely friendship about showing loyalty and pragma is the deep understanding between two people. Montaigne strongly believes friendship should be an unconstrained product of will, while Aristotle uses a rather categorical approach to friendship, utility, pleasure, and virtue. By making strict delineations and then using examples, he establishes a rather strict definition of friendship that is created along lines of social class. He argues, among other things, that friendship must be between similarly virtuous men of equal standing. In addition, the purest form of friendship, and the one that Aristotle considers the only genuine friendship,

Even rich people need a job because doing nothing made them bored and could not have peace in their life. According to Honore said I have come to believe that people without jobs are not free (page.137). It is totally true that people without jobs are not free because people without a job became homeless, street gang members, and slave. Also, people without jobs became to do suicide because they felt their life was empty and felt depressed. Being able to work is a blessing for life because not everyone can work even though they wanted to work. Think about this. What if a patient said I wanted to work for my people and for my country. Is that will be possible to work for him, according to the person s situation? People just noticed that the benefits of having a job when they did not have the ability to work. Especially, they noticed being able to work is a blessing when they were sick. In a day when many people are looking for work, people should be thankful for having a job. Work is a blessing for life because work helps people donate to missions at home and abroad. Those funds might help a teen center, get kids off the streets, or it might provide food and clothes for an orphanage clear across the world.
  • 40. Analysis Of David Ives The Blizzard David Ives The Blizzard does a good job of making people analyze their selves and their everyday life. His drama has the capabilities of making people ask many questions about themselves. Why do I follow a routine? Why do I settle for the same things over and over again? How do I break this cycle? What could I be doing differently with my life? It makes many people realize just how routine oriented they are. It also brings to light the fear and unwillingness to change that some people have. In the beginning of the play, Neil discussed his concerns about their everyday routine with Jenny. He expresses his wish for change to her and explains that they should change up their routine when their guests arrive to their new house (856). The characters Salim and Natasha are introduced to not only emphasize his wishes, but to also shed light to Jenny s fear of change. Neil is confused by the two strangers when they first arrive, but as Salim uses his own words against him, Neil accepts him as his brother much like people acceptchange. Jenny is wary of the strangers, and even with Natasha s assurance that she has nothing to be afraid of, she still will not accept her (859). There are many reasons why people fear change. One of the major reasons is the loss of control that can be experienced during change. They fear that they will lose control of their territory and they lose their sense of self defense (Ten Reasons People Resist Change). This is shown when in Jenny s
