Comparative Ebay and Taobao
A Comparative Study between eBay and Taobao in Chinese Online Auction Market

1 Introduction
Being the largest online trading company, eBay has launched websites across the world, including
thirty other countries in addition to its original U.S. website. China, with its large online market, is
one of these countries. In 2003, after its cooperation with Eachnet, the first C2C online company in
China, eBay became the largest online trading company in China, controlled 90 percent of the
Chinese C2C market (Zazaian, 2006). The success continued until Taobao, a completely free online
C2C platform, established in China by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, eBay has lowered listing fee a lot since 2005, but this didn t slow down Taobao s growth.
Therefore, free listing is not the key reason for Taobao s success. Indeed, feeling they are
benefiting, customers may even willing to pay.
Target Market
The first action for both eBay and Taobao in China is to identify their target markets. When eBay
launched in China, it identified its target customers as those well educated, familiar with the
Internet, earning a monthly payment over 3,000 RMB, and 20 40 years old (Chen et al., 2007).
Indicated by Shixiong Wu, CEO of eBay China, these mainstream customers are very important
to eBay as they help with the healthy growth of electronic market (as cited in Chen et al., 2007).
On the other side of the Chinese online market, Taobao decided to focus on Chinese customers
who are between 20 and 30 years old with good education levels, after analyzing China s C2C
market for four months. They believe that in a decade, these online shoppers will become
mainstream consumers who will influence the buying habits of the whole country (Alibaba, 2006).
Comparing the target markets of eBay and Taobao, it is clear that though they all target at young
people, Taobao s target market is much broader and includes students, while eBay s target
customers are professionals who have salaries. Shown by the survey results, in 2007, student
buyers made up a quarter of all customers,

Tcr Recognition
T cells are one of the key factors in the adaptive immune system which specifically recognize the
virus infected and tumors cells. These cells recognize antigens (epi topes or tumor antigens) using
protein known as T cells receptor TCR which is heterodimer and is consisted of an alpha (О±) and
beta (ОІ) chains. The fully matured T cells population expressing О±ОІ T cells receptors (TCR)
composed of the T cells which expresses CD4 or CD8, and the CD4 or CD8 ОіОґ expressing T
cells receptor cells. The specificity of the CD4+ and CD8+ T cells is directed by the expression of
the co receptors, CD4 and CD8. The ligand for CD4 is the ОІ2 domain of the (MHC) class II
molecule however for the CD8 the ligand is О±3 domain of MHC class I moluecule. Therefore,...

Therefore, TCRs are unable to target tumor antigens such as carbohydrate or lipid antigens.
However, genetically modified T cells expressing CARs (chimeric antigen receptors) avoid the
TCRs limitation and can recognize intact antigen i.e. cell surface proteins, carbo hydrate and lipid
tumor antigen. Moreover, tumor can also down regulation expression of HLA. The T cells
expressing CARs can be used regardless of the HLA types in adaptive T cells therapy. Interaction
of the unique О±ОІ TCR of the T cells to the specific antigen presented on either class I or II MHC
molecule of antigen presenting cells (APCs) result in the activation of the T cells. This type of
activation is called Signal 1 , which is not sufficient for optimal activation and proliferation of the
T cells. Therefore, an optimal activation and proliferation requires an additional co stimulatory
signal 2 , provided by CD28 molecules on the surface of the APCs. Interaction of the CD28
molecule to its ligand B7 1(CD80) and B7 2 (CD86) increases the proliferation of the

The History of Nana Rao Park, Kanpur in India
Kanpur is a historical city and is believed to have been founded by members of the Chandela
dynasty and formed part of the state of Sachendi. The city s name is believed to derive from
Kanhiyapur (from the Hindi meaning town of Kanhaiya ). During the British era the name got
transformed to Cawnpore, and hence the city got its current name KANPUR. As an important city in
the Chandela dynasty, the city has a number of places of historical importance. The historical
ruins of the places help prove the city s existence to the era of pre 13th Century. Nana Rao Park
is the perfect place for nature lovers, longing to spend their time close to nature, away from the
hum drum and pollution of the city. The park is named after Nana Rao Peshwa, the legendary
figure who actively participated in the first War of independence or Sepoy mutiny in 1857.
The history of Nana Rao Park dates back to India s first war of the independence, fought in 1857.
This park was named after Nana Rao Peshwa who fought like a brave warrior in India s struggle
for independence.During the Siege of Cawnpore, Nana Sahib had negotiated surrender from the
300 British soldiers and their families in exchange for their safe passage to Allahabad. On the
morning of June 27, a large British column led by General Wheeler made their way to the banks
of the river Ganga where Nana Sahib had arranged 40 boats for their journey. Since it was the
summer time, the Ganga was dry, sluggish and plagued by mud banks which made

Flag Desecration The American flag is one of the most recognizable symbols this country has
today. As children, we learn in school to cross our heart with our right hand and recite the pledge of
allegiance to the United States of America, while facing the flag, a beloved symbol. As a soldier
in the United States Army, I proudly wear a flag as a part of my Army Combat Uniform (ACU).
It is worn by soldiers like me to show the love of country, honor and commitment to this great
nation. It is cherished by veterans who have fought for this country, and families of the fallen
soldiers cherish it because it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Opponents of the Flag Desecration Amendment, propose reasons that make sense in not passing
such an amendment and in doing so would lead to an ultimate betrayal of the freedoms granted
to us by the First Amendment. In passing the Flag Desecration Amendment, it would mean that
if a person wanted to express political freedom of speech by desecrating the flag they could not.
A proposed Amendment would undermine the First Amendment. As Americans we are granted
many freedoms and the freedom of speech is a major one, so if congress were to say that a
person could not express themselves and to have it in writing then what else would change.
Opponents also make a point that flag burning is rare. They say that is doesn t happen every
year, but when it has that it was to express political speech as the Supreme Court held in 1989.
Opponents also say that once freedoms such as this be taken away then what s to say what else
congress will regulate and subject to violations. Anna Ross, form the How a Member Decides to
Vote module mentions, that while it might make us mad to see our flag being desecrated, it is not
good enough reason to weaken one of the most important principals of democracy.
The module simulation was very informative; the how a member decides to vote module shows
the steps that are taken by a person in congress on voting for such a change. The process is
difficult, it takes a bit of personal beliefs and

Tomorrow When The War Began Essay
Title:Tomorrow When the War Began
Author:John Marsden
Date Completed:25 March 2015
In the novel, Tomorrow When the War Began, there is an invasion on a small rural town in
Australia. A group of young teens are out camping and manage to avoid capture. The discovery that
their friends and families have been captured ignites them on a crusade to do what they can to
liberate their town.
The key idea in the text that is significant to me is about the importance of strong teamwork and
leadership in surprising circumstances.
In the book the group decided that Homer should be their leader. He was a self appointed leader
but no one had any objections. The commanding figure of Homer united the group and created a
team, as opposed to a group of friends. That was Homers genius He combined action with
thought, and he planned ahead. The group, under the guidance of Homer, began to understand
that they either had to work together to live, or work separately, and get captured or killed. We
ve got to stick together, that s all I know. The following quote shows how Homer has adapted and
stepped up to become a leader when he was needed most. You keep going like this, you ll loose
your reputation. Aren t you meant to be just a wild and crazy guy? I believe that confidence is
an important characteristic of a good leader and means people will look up to you. I also believe
that being able to take risks, like Homer does, is an important part of becoming a great leader.

A path to spiritual discovery
As Madhu Bazaz Wangu indicates, Buddhism is a path to spiritual discovery (8). Being Buddhism,
a non theistic religion, their disciples follow the monotheistic doctrine demonstrating they believe
in only one deity. Siddhartha Gautama, mostly known as Buddha the enlightened , is the one deity
Buddhists believe in. As Wangu writes, Siddhartha practiced severe self denial and meditation
before he could reach Nirvana(state of mind that ends the path of suffering) (8). Siddhartha came to
the conclusion that in order to reach Nirvana one should be able to eliminate desire by doing right
and thinking right. This could be done by following the Dharma (the law of Buddhism). Because the
Buddha never wrote down any of his teachings, his disciples... Show more content on

Because Shunyata teaches that everything is independent, and that only understanding this concept
will allow to eliminate disturbing emotions in order to reach Nirvana, it is the primordial
philosophy in Mahayana. Shunyata can be realized by purification, practice of ethics, and single
pointed concentration; this will allow the individual to understand him/her self as an independent
I. Moreover, it allows realizing that society does not shape an individual, but an individual shapes
his/her self by comprehending shunyata. Even though Mahayana Buddhists believe in Buddha,
they believe in a different form of Buddha; Bodhisattva Being of Wisdom. As Heinrich Dumoulin
points out, a Bodhisattva is an enlightened Buddhist monk who delays Nirvana in order to help
other people obtain release from the path of suffering. Mahayana Buddhists believe that Buddha
had been a Bodhisattva in his past lives before he was born as Siddartha Gautama. Apart from
showing compassion, a bodhisattva also plays a sacrificial role just as any other deity in order to
help the latest individual to obtain nirvana. Being a savior, a bodhisattva practices the Six Virtues,
or Paramitas to gain merit for humankind. According to Wangu, the Six Virtues are, the perfection
of giving (dana), the perfection of morality (sila), the perfection of patience (santi), the perfection of
courage (virya), the perfection of meditation (dhyana), and the perfection of wisdom

Turbo vs Supercharger

Forced Induction Debate
One of the most commonly used ways to give a vehicle more horsepower today is forced
induction. There are two different types of this forced induction, which brings us to Forced
Induction Debate. The conflict most people face when deciding what they would rather install on
their car is what is better, a turbocharger or a supercharger? Both turbochargers and superchargers
have advantages and disadvantages, some of which are similar. Choosing the right kind of forced
induction for your vehicle will depend upon your vehicle and your power preferences.
The first type of forced induction is the supercharger. A supercharger is mounted to the engine and
is driven by a pulley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The smaller the turbocharger, the less lag is produced. When a supercharger is activated, there is
absolutely no lag at all because it is connected directly to the crank. This means that
superchargers are able to produce boost at very low levels of rpm, giving the engine more power
the whole time the supercharger is running. This is very important for those people who drive the
supercharged trucks that are heavier than most cars and are usually hauling heavy loads in the back
of the truck or on a trailer.
The turbocharger makes up for its lag with its ability to generate mass amounts of power to the
engine. Turbochargers take barely any power from the engine to create boost. Turbochargers
use the gas heat and engine pressure to create boost and give the engine more power. Most
turbochargers produce 40 percent more power to an engine. So if a vehicle had a 200
horsepower engine and was running off of a turbocharger producing 10 pounds of boost, the
engine would actually be running off of 280 horsepower. A supercharger produces mass amounts
of boost for the engine from the crankshaft of the engine itself to compress air and make boost.
While running, a supercharger uses valuable power from the engine which must be taken away
from the gain of power in the long run. A vehicle with and engine producing 200 horsepower and a
supercharger producing 10 pounds of boost would only make the vehicles total

It was considered hostile, savage, animal like, and poorly developed. Now Wuthering Heights is
considered one of the greatest novels in the English language. Soon after the publication of the
novel Emily became ill, and her health failed rapidly. She complained of difficulty of breathing.
Emily Bronte died of tuberculosis in Haworth on December 19, 1848. Wuthering Heights is a
powerful tale of passion, hatred, and revenge. It deals with two families, the Earnshaws and
Lintons, living in the moorlands of England. Mr. and Mrs. Earnshaw have a son, Hindley, and a
daughter, Catherine. One day while in Liverpool Mr. Earnshaw picks up a homeless boy and
brings him home with him, to Wuthering Heights. The abandoned boy is named Heathcliff.
Heathcliff becomes a close friend of Catherine s but as he becomes Mr. Earnshaw s favorite
Hindley becomes jealous and begins to abuse him. Hindley eventually goes to college, leaving
Catherine and Heathcliff at Wuthering Heights. Heathcliff falls deeply in love with Catherine,
and she develops feelings towards him as well. However, one day while the two were visiting the
nearby Thrushcross Grange Catherine was bitten by a dog. Her ankle is injured so badly that she

Review Of Al Davis Behind The Raider s Shield By Al Davis
Al Davis behind the Raider s Shield is a biography of Allen Davis. He was considered by people to
be a football legend. This biography was written by his former employees Bruce Kebric and Jon
Kingdon, with Steve Corkran, a sports writer. Al Davis, as he was fondly called, was the owner
and the general manager of the Oakland Raidersfootball team. Al from Brooklyn, New York, he
often bragged about how tough his neighborhood was growing up. He extremely loved the
football games and about his team, the Oakland Raiders. He was a man who recognized who he
was and commanded respect everywhere he went. He generated the image he wanted the public to
see. He was highly respected and feared by many people in the NFL.
He mastered the art of getting information from people without giving up any information. He led
the Oakland Raiders to many victories. The Oakland Raiders also suffered a considerable amount
of loss. Amidst ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

described their opinion of whom they believed Al Davis was. It was clearly evident that
although they respected and even revered him, they disagreed with his believes and his method
of leadership. He was superstitious at times. He was mostly autocratic in his leadership. He
frequently ignored his scouts and his coaches. He implemented decisions he thought was best
and he never settled for less. He didn t follow their advice. I admired Al s strength and
determination. He had many inspirational quotes like, All I do is win and Just win baby win .
He never discriminated against anyone based on their sex or color or background. He was the
first NFL owner to draft an African American quarterback, the first to hire a Latino coach and the
first to hire a female as his chief executive. It was evident that he was not racist or sexist. I learned

Turbocharged Vehicle Research Paper
Stock to Stage 3: A Comprehensive Guide for Turbocharged Vehicles Joseph K. Hinojosa
Engineer Senior Leaders Course SFC Mcpherson Abstract This paper serves as a guide to first
time turbocharged vehicle owners. It will talk about stock vehicles and the upgrades required
from stage 1 to stage 3 and their importance to the performance of the vehicle with each upgrade.
It will also talk about minor supporting upgrades that will improve the vehicles overall
performance. Stage 1 will require a Cold Air Intake (CIA), Cat Back Exhaust (CBE) and a tuner.
Stage 2 requires a Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) and upgraded tune. Stage 3 will require a

So where do you begin when upgrading? The stock CAI is a good place to begin. Stage 1, we
have established that the engine needs more air to produce more power. The stock CAI can be
upgraded simple my removing the CAI box lid and replacing the stock air filter with an
upgraded high flow air filter. The air filter will allow the vehicle to intake air more efficiently.
For some that is enough others go for a more aesthetic look. Companies such as Cobb and
Custom Performance Engineering offer full intake replacements which include custom mandrel
bent tubing and an air box replacement. These are more pleasing to the eye but it is a user
preference. The same job will be done with just the air filter. A cat back exhaust starts at the
downpipe and out of the rear of the car. The stock CBE is restrictive to air flow and will not let
the turbo perform at its peak. Again the CBE is user preference. It is used mostly for sound
quality of the vehicle but the material it is constructed from is important to the area you live and
the terrain you will be traveling. Aluminum exhaust are less expensive but are susceptible to
corrosion and rocks that are common with unimproved roads. Quality stainless steel such as T304
stainless steel is more resistant to corrosive elements such as salts used for deicing. Performance
and sound quality is not sacrificed with either option. Flash tuners such as an SCT

Twelfth Night Essay
When two people are in a romantic relationship, marriage is usually the ultimate goal. Marriage
is precious, formal and sacred. In the play, Twelfth Night, three marriages are depicted. One of
the marriages has happened because of a mistake and the other given as a reward. Which means
that one marriage will be more long lasting than the other. In my opinion, Viola and Orsino s
marriage is going to be the most successful because of their love and commitment to each other, the
length of time they have known each other and finally the trust between them. Firstly, love and
commitment is one of the many factors that contribute to a successful marriage. Love and
commitment allow couples to act with integrity, respect and care for each other. The readers can
clearly see the commitment Viola has for Duke Orsino when she says, After him I love/More
than I love these eyes, more than my life,/More, by all mores, than e er I shall love wife (V. i. 130

Love is built on trust therefore we can only love someone we trust. In the play, we can
immediately see the trust between Orsino and Viola at the very beginning. Orsino reveals the
trust he has for Viola when he expresses, Cesario,/Thou know st no less but all. I have unclasp d
/To thee the book even of my secret soul;... (I. iv. 12 14). This demonstrates Orsino s evident trust
for Viola. He is able to share all of his secrets with Viola only after three days of knowing each
other. Couples can only express their feelings freely to each other, feel secure and safe when they
trust each other. Therefore, the trust Viola and Orsino has for each other is a vital asset they have
that will make them different from the other two couples and it is this that will make them the most
successful marriage in the play. Without trust, relationships will fall

Theme Of Family In The String Of Pearls
Another issue it caught my attention is the fact that family is assumed to be the only one who is
always there for helping you, however, in this novel, family is everyone s only enemy. In
Victorian period, the idea of family as sacred was expanded through cultural media, social or
political discourses and education. Novels like this which included marriage and domesticity
contained debates of love and family either principal or secondary story. These kinds of work made
people see family as a source of real happiness, despite the fact that abhorrent mistreatment
happened in many households. It would be interesting considering what Marry Strauss, a domestic
violenceexpert, says about this issue; With the exception of the police and military, the family is
perhaps the most violent social group, and the home is the most violent social setting. (15) Even...

Although some thought the barber was a little cracked , the people in the local community

While I was rearranging myself, a lady with brown hair came over the area that I was with my

Ok sweetheart there is nothing for you to worry about right now, but I am going to give you an IV,

First I am going to give you a numbing shot, and don t worry you won t even feel a thing, it will

Planning: is the keystone for Adidas that would help them achieve their objectives. The functions of
organising, leading, and controlling carry out the decisions of planning. Although some

For an Adidas to succeed, management somehow must cope with and adapt to, change and

Volleyball Is A Popular Sport Across The World For Both
Volleyball is a popular sport across the world for both males and females, whether it be
competitively or recreationally (Mitchinson, 2013). The objective of the game is to send the ball
over the net and have it land inside the opponents court. However, to even start the game or rally,
one must serve the ball from their side of the court to the other side of the court. This then gives
the teams an opportunity to score a point. Therefore, serving is one of the most important skills in
volleyball since it is one of the few ways to continue to score points (Seminati, 2015). A type of
serve often is the overhand serve. This serve requires the subject to toss the ball with one hand and
contact the ball with the opposite hand above the head.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The players were tested using a ten camera motion analysis system. Markers were placed on
various spots on the body to assess movements at the pelvis, thorax, shoulder, arm, and hand. The
markers measure flexion, extension, lateral flexion, and rotation of the trunk. For the upper limb, it
measured internal and external rotation. The players performed ten spike trials to various spots on
the court. For these trials, were then analyzed and Mitchinson concluded that there were no
differences in the range of motion (ROM) of the injured and uninjured athletes. This article is
important for analyzing the biomechanics of a volleyball serve because the motion of the shoulder
during a spike and a serve and almost identical. The article also gave useful information on the sport
of volleyball and the importance of having proper shoulder movement to successfully swing

Elena Seminati, and other scientists, conducted a study on the shoulder range of motion and
humerus rotation in volleyball. The main purpose of the study was to assess the performance

introduction of the research article gave crucial information on the importance of having correct
biomechanics to avoid injury. It stated that shoulder injury is one of the most common injuries in
volleyball. The study analyzed 21 volleyball, both male and female, that competed at the national

Firefighter Career
Career and College Research Paper I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a
fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know the
work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our proudest moment is to
save lives (Croker).
I have always had an interest in firefighting. When I went to the votech to try out the program for
firefighting, I knew this was something I wanted to do for a career. I found an interest in the
teamwork, physical activities, and bondship to share with others like me that want to help others.
It seems like this is where I belong because I enjoy helping people. Firefighting is a job that
anyone can do as long as they put their hearts into it.
Becoming a firefighter takes a lot of dedication and hard work. The work hours can vary for

My fellow tigers, today I officially announce my candidacy for Freshman Class Senator. I come
before you all today, humbled by all that God has blessed me with. I am a first generation college
student, I come from a single parent household and I understand how hard it was for some of us
to reach this far. Although this class has not been with each other for an extended period of time, I
have been able to shake some your hands, hear some of your stories, and understand how we could
improve this school together. On today I think back on the rich history of Texas Southern University
. I think about all that this institution and its student have had to endure over time. I think about the
marches and sit in s on the tiger walk, I think about the false stigmas that have been latched upon

A lot of issues to be addressed. However, I have put together a four point plan that will begin to
move us in the direction of progress. First, let us reduce the cost of textbooks. Because no
student who has made it this far should bear the uncertainty of whether or not they will have
enough to get a textbook and have their education potentially shut down due to rising textbook
cost. Second, let us establish fiscal responsibility. As your Senator, I will guarantee that your
money is spent wisely on programs that will benefit each and every one of you. Third, let us
work toward bringing new career internship opportunities for all of you here on campus. These
opportunities will be able to provide you all with job experience within an area you would like to
pursue in the future. And finally, let us bring more inclusiveness to the Class of 2020. As your
Senator, I will host Freshman town halls every month to truly understand the issues you all face

Saint Teresa Of Avila Research Paper
Saint Teresa of Avila was born on March 28th, 1515 in Avila, Spain. She is the patron saint of

child she grew deathly ill and fell into a coma that was mistaken for death. Wax was put over
eyes to keep them closed. Just before she was about to be buried she woke up. Many people
asked her what death felt like. She saw in a vision a clear crystal castle that contained a large
number of rooms or mansions. The first rooms or mansions contained people who have been
given up the sins of the world. The second mansions contained believers that are led to seek the
company of the good and to receive the sacraments often and to pray with much warmth and light.

Minoan Civilization Essay
The Minoan civilization was founded in 3000 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE, whereas the
Mycenaean civilization was founded in 1900 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE (Matthews, Noble,
Platt, 2014). The Minoan and Mycenaean cultures are found to be in present day Greeks as DNA
has revealed to be similar in early farmers (Reich, 2017).
The Minoans were the first literate civilization in Europe. One key aspect of the Minoan and
Mycenaean culture that lived on among the Greeks later was writing. Linear A, a syllabic system
that cannot be read by anyone except the Minoans, however, the Mycenaeans produced thousands
of Linear B tablets, that contained documents for the government, as well as the Iliad and
Odyssey (Matthews et al, 2014). Both Linear A and B are from a syllabic system, which are like
the Greek letters. Another key aspect of the Minoan and Mycenaean culture that lived on among
the Greeks later were metals, such as bronze, copper, tin, silver, and gold (Matthews et al, 2014).
These metals were used for military weapons such as swords, spears, daggers, and others, the
chariots with the horse and wheel. Throughout the ages and eras, metals improved, as well as what

Social exclusion has made major influence on politics from the late 1990s (Stephenson 2007).
SecrГ©taire d Etat a l Action sociale of the French government, RenГ© Lenoir is said to have
used the term social exclusion in publications over twenty five years ago. Since then has had a
major impact on explanations of individuals who feel separated from society especially through
poverty and deprivation (Sen, 2000). Silver (1995) also suggests that individuals who feel
socially excluded may be lacking of basic needs of livelihood and but not limited to, participating
in democratic agendas. The term Social Justice can be traced back to the twentieth century where
the pursuit began by individuals, communities and societies, some argue that perhaps the fight for
social justice maybe ending (Miller, 1999). Robert Merton s work had major influence on the
school of functionalism, especially in America during the 1940s and 1950s especially as
functionalism was mainly concerned with social order (Tierney, 1996). Merton s focus was crime
and deviance even though he was not a criminologist; his ideas were first published in 1993 in an
article titled Social structure and anomie which illustrated his connection to Durkheim. A book
called Social theory and social structure was later published which discussed strain theory, the first
attempt to answer the prominent question of how society impacts individuals to act in a deviant
/ criminal manner.

The American Dream And The Mortgage Crisis Essay

The American Dream and the Mortgage Nightmare
Every country s economy is greatly impacted by the beliefs and the attitudes of its citizens;
conversely, the action of the people is affected by the country s economy. In other words, economy
of a nation and character of the citizens are correlated. For instance, in the United States, the
American Dream to own a home had a huge influence on the mortgage crisis in 2008. However, the
economy at that time period had been inducing people to buy new home. Likewise, in Greece,
the growing trend of corruption and bribery among the people played a major role in shattering
its economy. As a consequence of the dreadful economy, Greek people are revolting against their
government. While Greece is trying to recover from its devastated state, the overrated American
Dream is still a cause of multiple problems in the US. The tendency to use fulfillment of the
dream as the measure of success among American people is the one of many reason behind the
overall health of people and community and one of the main reason for crisis in 2008. The
American Dream of owning a home killed the mediocre reality of middle class people and led to a
nightmare of foreclosure and its deadly consequence instead.
On the other side of the globe, Greece, a country which used to be the foundation of intellectual and
philosophical discoveries, is now toppling over the fault

gap is smaller (Anderson, 2003, p. 179). Although, in her home state of Ohio, the rates were just
about in the very middle. Marilyn s developmental strengths are being able to live in her home and

Erikson noted, The fashionable insistence on dramatizing the dependence of children on adults

Daniel 6: 6 10
Background: Daniel 1 10 (Explain who the Satraps and Administrators are and how Daniel was one
of them but when then had came up with the plan to make it wrong to pray to anyone but the king
the decided to attack connection with his God.) Will write in this part... Soon...
Introduction of Points:
Prayer is the most power thing you have in your toolbox. There are so many things you can do
true this thing we call prayer. Prayer can get you out of trouble even when people are trying to
put in you trouble. As we look at our text today we see that now the administrators and people
over power over the land have produced a law that makes it basically illegal to pray to anyone other
then kind Darius for 30days. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He knew that no matter what was going on at the governmental level, he knew what was going
on that the Godly level was more powerful. Today we live in world were things have never
happened before, we have leaders much like the satraps and administrators. The person in
charge of the United States is signing orders and laws that don t make any sense are often times
they do not line up with we as follower of Christ believe. But how many times to we look at
these things and immediately turn off the TV and pray about them like we ought ton as Daniel
did? The passages tell us that when he knew the word knew in the tense lets me know that he
found out fairly quickly and being as how he was an administrator he would have known almost
instantly. But he didn t call his buddies to complain but he decided to go to God in prayer.
Application:
When you have conversations with people they don t mean anything all to often we want to call
up people a gossip and just talk about our problems but that does not yield anything you still
must go back to what you were doing before the situation occurred, but when you talk to God that
is a conversation that has power. That is a conversation that has some backbone, you can pray to
King Darrius if you want to but what is he going to do about and plus he can t hear them all, But
God hears every prayer and cad do something about it!

King Louis XIV Meaning
King Louis XIV is a regal king who values order and beauty; That is why he should purchase
PoussinВґs painting to represent his reign. PoussinВґs painting is full of order and unity; yet it
shows complete control of emotion through angles and lines. Making it the clear choice for a
representation of our king s reign. One of the largest struggles for a monarch is overcoming
emotion; yet showing emotions like love and compassion when they are needed. PoussinВґs
painting has the same show of emotion that a king needs and that King Louis XIV has. Nadera
Suleiman said, ВЁControl of emotions or lack of control causes empires to flourish or fall.ВЁ The
compositional symmetry in PoussinВґs painting shows control; Poussin has perfected the art of
directing the eye to where the emotion that is needed is shown. Every time a conversation is
had, there is a blending, or merging of ideas and opinions. A weak king would try to stop this
mixing from happening, thinking that he will loose his people to new ideas or places. Suleiman
states that the painting by Poussin ВЁdepicts different scenes over a period of time.ВЁ King Louis
XIV sees the importance of a multicultural society. He sees the importance of new ideas and new
people, and he embraces the future along... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Order found in this picture is unique it is found in the beholder s eye; but no matter who sees

does, and he sees the affect, of peace and prosperity, that order has on his country. Thomas Merton
said, ВЁHappiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.ВЁ Our

Comedic Violence in The Medea, The Oresteia, and Antigone...
Comedic Violence in The Medea, The Oresteia, and Antigone
Almost no Greek tragedy escapes the use of violence. The Medea, The Oresteia, Antigone, and
other classic works of Grecian tragoidia all involve huge components of violence in many
prominent places, and for all of these stories, violent action is an integral part of the play. Medea,
especially, is a character worthy of note in this regard; her tumultuous life can be plotted
accurately along a path of aggression and passionate fits, and her bloody history lends tension and
ascendance to the cathartic events of the gripping Medea. In contrast to this turbulent streak of
brutality in Grecian tragedy stands the world of Greek comedy. Violence in comedy is just as
much a part ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In comparison to this is Lysistrata, a comedy in which violence is not shown to be an answer that
works. In this story, however, the overarching dilemma is the existence of the Peloponnesian War.
For Euripides, violence is a question and a centerpiece of intrigue, yet it is not the root of the plot.
Aristophanes, on the other hand, chooses to investigate gender relations and the concerns of daily
life by using a hollow context of violence that ostensibly motivates the actions of the characters
while avoiding center stage as an issue of any weight in the play itself.
At first glance this analysis seems wrong: it appears that Lysistrata is very much concerned with
violence. After all, Aristophanes intended to write an anti war piece. However, while this
statement is technically true, it is only a skin deep realization. In actuality, Lysistrata herself is
not anti war in the sense of being ideologically opposed to war; she is anti war only insofar as
she detests the Peloponnesian War. And yet, although the Mede is at our gates, / You ruin Greece
with mad intestine wars. / This is my first reproach to both of you, (Aristophanes 1132) says
Lysistrata to the assembled Spartan and Athenian ambassadors. In this passage, the fiery woman
establishes her stance and proclaims that she is mainly upset over the fact that the current war is
more a civil war than a war against actual enemies. Her core

Humanistic Approach
Comparing and analyzing the biological and humanistic approaches to personality can be a
difference of opinions. Abraham Maslow studied the development of personality. Maslow
developed his own personality theory based on the basic human needs. His hierarchy of needs
pyramid shows the influences of human needs to the formation of unique individual personality.
There are biological factors that influence the formation of individual personality that play a factor.
By reviewing the relationships between biological factors and Maslow s theory of personality you

According to Maslow, the biological factors are important to the personality theory.
Physiological and biological needs in conjunction depend upon the same things. Physiological
needs are the very basic needs such as air, water, food, sleep, sex, etc. When these are not
satisfied people may feel sickness, irritation, pain, discomfort, etc. These feelings motivate
people to focus on alleviating them as soon as possible to establish homeostasis. Once the
feelings are alleviated, people may think about other things. The body needs are biological and
consists of the needs for air, food, water and a temperature range as do the physiological needs.
These needs can be very strong because if deprived over time, the person will die. The
relationship of the biological factors to personality is important because an individual is ready to
act upon the growth needs if and only if the deficiency needs are met. When the needs are met
people attempt to get more accomplished, therefore causing them to generate their very own
personality traits. Looking at the basic aspects of humanistic theory, it is somewhat incompatible
with the biological explanations of personality. According to the biological explanation of
personality, the general idea of Maslow s hierarchy is that everyone is born with specific needs. If
people do not meet those base needs, they are unable to

How Did Robespierre Influence The French Revolution
Robespierre was hinting at a society based on virtue defining the political positon of a person set
in a similar society of terror, an early communist like society. But the Convention greatly
disagreed with him and agreed that he had begun to go insane with power, similarly to how
Napoleon Bonaparte would for the following years militaristically. Consumed by the Revolution,
Robespierre is then executed. Starting the war, Robespierre held a firm belief of sovereignty and
equality, to form a republic, and was against the death penalty, viewing it as an excessive
punishment. But, as the war progresses his ideology begins to change, favoring the use of the
guillotine and leading a society of terror. Marat was an extreme radical of the French Revolution.
The difference to the others was the fact that he was not part of any political group, but instead a
powerful and influential advocator through the press. Through his writing, he called for war against
the monarchy, death to any traitors, and declared anyone that did not support the National
Assembly was not a true French citizen and labeled a counterrevolutionary. In voicing these things,
the public became more motivated to fight for the cause and Marat became a saint among the
people, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His stance in finding success through the death of more and more people was also held up by the
ends justifying the means, if it meant bringing happiness to the people. His journalism would lead
to people taking action and also resulting in the September Massacres in September 1792, where
citizens stormed into prisons and killed the criminals held there, as well as royal guards, and other
suspected citizens called out in his journalism. Even after his assassination, he was treated as a

Securitization Of Housing Bets
Mortgage backed securities were bonds that were secured by home and other real estate loans. They
were created when a number of these loans, usually with similar characteristics, were pooled
together. As part of the housing and credit booms, the amount of financial agreements called
mortgage backed securities, which derive their value from mortgagepayments and housing prices,
greatly increased (Subprime mortgage crisis). Pools of loans were sold to federal government
agencies like Ginnie Mae or a government sponsored enterprise such as Fannie Mae or Freddie
Mac. Securitization was the process of taking an illiquid asset, or group of assets, and through
financial engineering, transforming them into a security. A typical example of securitization... Show

The worst of the mortgages were packaged and tranche into bonds and got rated AAA by these
credit rating agencies. By erroneously rating these bundles of mortgage backed security payments
too highly, the credit rating agencies substantially contributed to the creation of toxic financial
assets. The problem was each agency were competing for the banks revenue, to keep the banks
business the agencies would always rate their bonds the highest possible grade of AAA.
Executives at Fannie Mae packaged both conventional and sub prime loans, while operating almost
free of government oversight. Fannie s leaders spent lavishly to hire sixty Washington lobbyists
who showered congressmen with campaign funds. Executives at Fannie were generous to the
politicians because they wanted to ward off regulation (Toplin). Adding another layer to this
financial disaster happened when the Treasury bill rate went so low investors had to find other
ways to yield a profit, and with little oversight, executives certainly had no problem introducing
creative financing to main street America.
Mortgage underwriting standards declined precipitously during the boom

Use of Attics in Literature Essay
The Phenomenology of Space Attic Memories and Secrets
Since Gilbert and Gubar s The Madwoman in the Attic, critics have assumed that attics house
madwomen. But they use that concept as a metaphor for their thesis, that women writers were
isolated and treated with approbation. In most literature, attics are dark, dusty, seldom visited
storage areas, like that of the Tulliver house in The Mill on the Floss a great attic under the old
high pitched roof, with worm eaten floors, worm eaten shelves, and dark rafters festooned with
cobwebs a place thought to be weird and ghostly. Attics do not house humans (not even mad ones)
they warehouse artifacts that carry personal and familial history often a history that has been ...

Attics make us think of history, interesting artifacts, old toys, books, clothes, linens, jewelry, and
other treasures but, most of all, of deep, dark, and significant family secrets. It was in the attic of
the house that I grew up in that, as a snooping teenager, I found the packet of letters from my
mother to her first husband. Her FIRST husband. I had never dreamed that she had had but one
husband my father. And had I not ferreted out those letters, I probably still would not know. Then,
that night, my father took me aside I m sure at my mother s urging and confessed that he too had
been married and divorced before he met my mother. Whether particular attics hide such secrets
hardly matters. What matters is that psychologically we believe that they do. In fact, attics
frequently house just the sort of information I unearthed facts that one is too attached to to throw
away, but which one very much wants to remain secret.
Before a discussion of attics can begin, it is essential to define what is meant by attic and to
distinguish attics from upper rooms. Not all third floor spaces are attics, because many larger
houses have and had third floor rooms that were normal living spaces, sometimeshaving bedrooms
and sometimes having a huge, finished room used for balls and other parties. Such rooms were
furnished, and comfortably habitable. Such is the case with a room that is often cited as an attic
that incarcerates a madwoman, the upper room in The

A Comprehensive Prenatal Care Program
There are many expecting mothers in our society that are very unware of what steps to take to
ensure that they maintain a healthy environment for the developing fetus. In the case of Tano
and Lonita, they are a couple of struggling immigrants who are working hard to get by.
Unfortunately for them are some resources that are not made available to them due to
socioeconomic status. However, there are many steps they can talk in order to eliminate the risks
of a low birth weight, or preterm labor. One step would be to attend a comprehensive prenatal care
program that are known to improve birth outcomes in situations such as Lonita s. Another way
would be for Tano to become more involved with Lonita and keep a strong bonded and caring
relationship between them. The last solution would be to apply for government aid programs to
improve financial situations. In Lonita s situation, Tano is making enough money to make it just
above the poverty line, this makes it extremely difficult to pinch their pockets and pay for medical
examinations. To avoid a stressful nine months, it is best for them to find a comprehensive health
care program available in close proximity to them or in their area. These programs educate
expecting couples on how to stay motivated and empower their children so they have a greater, and
more successful outcome than they do. Attending these programs would inform Lonita on the fact
that when she has flu like symptoms, she should not self diagnose herself and

Symbolism In George Orwell s 1984
Lily Freeland Miss Finstuen AP English Literature 29 May 2018 Symbolism of Freedom and
Control In his dystopian novel, 1984, George Orwell creates a state of terror and secrecy.
Eliminating the human right of freedom through expression of emotion, Orwell presents a somber
and isolating world that triggers rebellion against the Party by protagonist, Winston Smith. By use
of symbolism in the novel, Winston strives for freedom in the prison of his society. In the novel,
privacy does not exist. The telescreens scattered in abundance across the state serve as a reminder
of the power the Party has over its citizens. Extremely oppressive in nature, the Party seeks to
control its people by use of constant monitorization. In view of the telescreens,... Show more

The freedom of his diary relates to the thrush bird mentioned in the novel. Similar to the
symbolic meaning of the diary, the singing bird serves as a symbol for Winston s search for
freedom by trying to understand it. In this way, the thrush is symbolic of emotion. With Julia
and WInston away from their oppressive society, Orwell acknowledges the freedom of the bird
in comparison to their confinement, describing, It was in the sun, they in the shade (...). The
thrush is free to live life as it chooses, enlightened in the sun (...) whereas Winston and Julia must
live in accordance to what the Party, their society, tells them. The two notice the thrush s
unfettered singing, and Orwell brings into question, For whom, for what, was that bird singing?
No mate, no rival was watching it. What made it sit at the edge of the lonely wood and pour its
music into nothingness? (...). This suggests that the bird is singing simply for the enjoyment of
it, or the emotion of it. The thrush thus has no social obligations or societal expectations that are
causing it to sing. The bird is free. This stands out to Winston and triggers a spark of emotion in
him. Human emotion has been eradicated from society by the Party as it is a means of freedom
and expression, thus marking it a threat to the Party. Winston recognizes the bird s freedom and
embraces it. Orwell explains this, saying, It was as though it were a kind of liquid stuff that
poured all over him and got mixed up with the sunlight that filtered through the leaves. He
stopped thinking and merely felt (...). Winston experiences a freedom in himself as he is able to
feel emotion. In this way, he may finally feel sexual desire for Julia. The strength of raw human
emotion in the form of sexual desire gives Winston a deeper understanding of freedom as well as a
heightened sense of personal freedom overall. Such emotion, symbolized by the

  • 3. Comparative Ebay and Taobao A Comparative Study between eBay and Taobao in Chinese Online Auction Market BSAD 415:66 Electronic Business Prof. G. Trites Jie Yue (Kathy) 200706289 June 10, 2008 1 Introduction Being the largest online trading company, eBay has launched websites across the world, including thirty other countries in addition to its original U.S. website. China, with its large online market, is one of these countries. In 2003, after its cooperation with Eachnet, the first C2C online company in China, eBay became the largest online trading company in China, controlled 90 percent of the Chinese C2C market (Zazaian, 2006). The success continued until Taobao, a completely free online C2C platform, established in China by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, eBay has lowered listing fee a lot since 2005, but this didn t slow down Taobao s growth. Therefore, free listing is not the key reason for Taobao s success. Indeed, feeling they are benefiting, customers may even willing to pay. Target Market The first action for both eBay and Taobao in China is to identify their target markets. When eBay launched in China, it identified its target customers as those well educated, familiar with the Internet, earning a monthly payment over 3,000 RMB, and 20 40 years old (Chen et al., 2007). Indicated by Shixiong Wu, CEO of eBay China, these mainstream customers are very important to eBay as they help with the healthy growth of electronic market (as cited in Chen et al., 2007). On the other side of the Chinese online market, Taobao decided to focus on Chinese customers who are between 20 and 30 years old with good education levels, after analyzing China s C2C market for four months. They believe that in a decade, these online shoppers will become mainstream consumers who will influence the buying habits of the whole country (Alibaba, 2006). Comparing the target markets of eBay and Taobao, it is clear that though they all target at young people, Taobao s target market is much broader and includes students, while eBay s target customers are professionals who have salaries. Shown by the survey results, in 2007, student buyers made up a quarter of all customers,

  • 5. Tcr Recognition T cells are one of the key factors in the adaptive immune system which specifically recognize the virus infected and tumors cells. These cells recognize antigens (epi topes or tumor antigens) using protein known as T cells receptor TCR which is heterodimer and is consisted of an alpha (О±) and beta (ОІ) chains. The fully matured T cells population expressing О±ОІ T cells receptors (TCR) composed of the T cells which expresses CD4 or CD8, and the CD4 or CD8 ОіОґ expressing T cells receptor cells. The specificity of the CD4+ and CD8+ T cells is directed by the expression of the co receptors, CD4 and CD8. The ligand for CD4 is the ОІ2 domain of the (MHC) class II molecule however for the CD8 the ligand is О±3 domain of MHC class I moluecule. Therefore,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, TCRs are unable to target tumor antigens such as carbohydrate or lipid antigens. However, genetically modified T cells expressing CARs (chimeric antigen receptors) avoid the TCRs limitation and can recognize intact antigen i.e. cell surface proteins, carbo hydrate and lipid tumor antigen. Moreover, tumor can also down regulation expression of HLA. The T cells expressing CARs can be used regardless of the HLA types in adaptive T cells therapy. Interaction of the unique О±ОІ TCR of the T cells to the specific antigen presented on either class I or II MHC molecule of antigen presenting cells (APCs) result in the activation of the T cells. This type of activation is called Signal 1 , which is not sufficient for optimal activation and proliferation of the T cells. Therefore, an optimal activation and proliferation requires an additional co stimulatory signal 2 , provided by CD28 molecules on the surface of the APCs. Interaction of the CD28 molecule to its ligand B7 1(CD80) and B7 2 (CD86) increases the proliferation of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Flag Desecration Amendment Central Texas College| Political Review One| Flag Desecration Amendment| Dr. Karen Waugh| Jamorion Stanford| 9/17/2012| Flag Desecration The American flag is one of the most recognizable symbols this country has today. As children, we learn in school to cross our heart with our right hand and recite the pledge of allegiance to the United States of America, while facing the flag, a beloved symbol. As a soldier in the United States Army, I proudly wear a flag as a part of my Army Combat Uniform (ACU). Opponents of the Flag Desecration Amendment, propose reasons that make sense in not passing such an amendment and in doing so would lead to an ultimate betrayal of the freedoms granted to us by the First Amendment. In passing the Flag Desecration Amendment, it would mean that if a person wanted to express political freedom of speech by desecrating the flag they could not. A proposed Amendment would undermine the First Amendment. As Americans we are granted many freedoms and the freedom of speech is a major one, so if congress were to say that a person could not express themselves and to have it in writing then what else would change. Opponents also make a point that flag burning is rare. They say that is doesn t happen every year, but when it has that it was to express political speech as the Supreme Court held in 1989. Opponents also say that once freedoms such as this be taken away then what s to say what else congress will regulate and subject to violations. Anna Ross, form the How a Member Decides to Vote module mentions, that while it might make us mad to see our flag being desecrated, it is not good enough reason to weaken one of the most important principals of democracy. The module simulation was very informative; the how a member decides to vote module shows the steps that are taken by a person in congress on voting for such a change. • 9. Tomorrow When The War Began Essay Title:Tomorrow When the War Began Author:John Marsden Date Completed:25 March 2015 In the novel, Tomorrow When the War Began, there is an invasion on a small rural town in Australia. A group of young teens are out camping and manage to avoid capture. The discovery that their friends and families have been captured ignites them on a crusade to do what they can to liberate their town. The key idea in the text that is significant to me is about the importance of strong teamwork and leadership in surprising circumstances. In the book the group decided that Homer should be their leader. He was a self appointed leader but no one had any objections. The commanding figure of Homer united the group and created a team, as opposed to a group of friends. That was Homers genius He combined action with thought, and he planned ahead. The group, under the guidance of Homer, began to understand that they either had to work together to live, or work separately, and get captured or killed. We ve got to stick together, that s all I know. The following quote shows how Homer has adapted and stepped up to become a leader when he was needed most. You keep going like this, you ll loose your reputation. Aren t you meant to be just a wild and crazy guy? I believe that confidence is an important characteristic of a good leader and means people will look up to you. I also believe that being able to take risks, like Homer does, is an important part of becoming a great leader. This text ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. A path to spiritual discovery As Madhu Bazaz Wangu indicates, Buddhism is a path to spiritual discovery (8). Being Buddhism, a non theistic religion, their disciples follow the monotheistic doctrine demonstrating they believe in only one deity. Siddhartha Gautama, mostly known as Buddha the enlightened , is the one deity Buddhists believe in. As Wangu writes, Siddhartha practiced severe self denial and meditation before he could reach Nirvana(state of mind that ends the path of suffering) (8). Siddhartha came to the conclusion that in order to reach Nirvana one should be able to eliminate desire by doing right and thinking right. This could be done by following the Dharma (the law of Buddhism). Because the Buddha never wrote down any of his teachings, his disciples... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because Shunyata teaches that everything is independent, and that only understanding this concept will allow to eliminate disturbing emotions in order to reach Nirvana, it is the primordial philosophy in Mahayana. Shunyata can be realized by purification, practice of ethics, and single pointed concentration; this will allow the individual to understand him/her self as an independent I. Moreover, it allows realizing that society does not shape an individual, but an individual shapes his/her self by comprehending shunyata. Even though Mahayana Buddhists believe in Buddha, they believe in a different form of Buddha; Bodhisattva Being of Wisdom. As Heinrich Dumoulin points out, a Bodhisattva is an enlightened Buddhist monk who delays Nirvana in order to help other people obtain release from the path of suffering. Mahayana Buddhists believe that Buddha had been a Bodhisattva in his past lives before he was born as Siddartha Gautama. Apart from showing compassion, a bodhisattva also plays a sacrificial role just as any other deity in order to help the latest individual to obtain nirvana. Being a savior, a bodhisattva practices the Six Virtues, or Paramitas to gain merit for humankind. According to Wangu, the Six Virtues are, the perfection of giving (dana), the perfection of morality (sila), the perfection of patience (santi), the perfection of courage (virya), the perfection of meditation (dhyana), and the perfection of wisdom ... • 11. Turbo vs Supercharger Kevin Snyder P. Crumrine WR 121 07 21 2013 Forced Induction Debate One of the most commonly used ways to give a vehicle more horsepower today is forced induction. There are two different types of this forced induction, which brings us to Forced Induction Debate. The conflict most people face when deciding what they would rather install on their car is what is better, a turbocharger or a supercharger? Both turbochargers and superchargers have advantages and disadvantages, some of which are similar. Choosing the right kind of forced induction for your vehicle will depend upon your vehicle and your power preferences. The first type of forced induction is the supercharger. A supercharger is mounted to the engine and is driven by a pulley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The smaller the turbocharger, the less lag is produced. When a supercharger is activated, there is absolutely no lag at all because it is connected directly to the crank. This means that superchargers are able to produce boost at very low levels of rpm, giving the engine more power the whole time the supercharger is running. This is very important for those people who drive the supercharged trucks that are heavier than most cars and are usually hauling heavy loads in the back of the truck or on a trailer. The turbocharger makes up for its lag with its ability to generate mass amounts of power to the engine. Turbochargers take barely any power from the engine to create boost. Turbochargers use the gas heat and engine pressure to create boost and give the engine more power. Most turbochargers produce 40 percent more power to an engine. So if a vehicle had a 200 horsepower engine and was running off of a turbocharger producing 10 pounds of boost, the engine would actually be running off of 280 horsepower. A supercharger produces mass amounts of boost for the engine from the crankshaft of the engine itself to compress air and make boost. While running, a supercharger uses valuable power from the engine which must be taken away from the gain of power in the long run. A vehicle with and engine producing 200 horsepower and a supercharger producing 10 pounds of boost would only make the vehicles total ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It will also talk about minor supporting upgrades that will improve the vehicles overall performance. Stage 1 will require a Cold Air Intake (CIA), Cat Back Exhaust (CBE) and a tuner. Stage 2 requires a Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) and upgraded tune. Stage 3 will require a downpipe and upgraded tune. With knowledge and the proper tuning capabilities... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So where do you begin when upgrading? The stock CAI is a good place to begin. Stage 1, we have established that the engine needs more air to produce more power. The stock CAI can be upgraded simple my removing the CAI box lid and replacing the stock air filter with an upgraded high flow air filter. The air filter will allow the vehicle to intake air more efficiently. For some that is enough others go for a more aesthetic look. Companies such as Cobb and Custom Performance Engineering offer full intake replacements which include custom mandrel bent tubing and an air box replacement. These are more pleasing to the eye but it is a user preference. The same job will be done with just the air filter. A cat back exhaust starts at the downpipe and out of the rear of the car. The stock CBE is restrictive to air flow and will not let the turbo perform at its peak. Again the CBE is user preference. It is used mostly for sound quality of the vehicle but the material it is constructed from is important to the area you live and the terrain you will be traveling. Aluminum exhaust are less expensive but are susceptible to corrosion and rocks that are common with unimproved roads. Quality stainless steel such as T304 stainless steel is more resistant to corrosive elements such as salts used for deicing. Performance and sound quality is not sacrificed with either option. • 15. Orsino Twelfth Night Helen Chen Ms. Botelho ENG1D1 06 10 February 2015 Twelfth Night Essay When two people are in a romantic relationship, marriage is usually the ultimate goal. Marriage is precious, formal and sacred. In the play, Twelfth Night, three marriages are depicted. One of the marriages has happened because of a mistake and the other given as a reward. Which means that one marriage will be more long lasting than the other. In my opinion, Viola and Orsino s marriage is going to be the most successful because of their love and commitment to each other, the length of time they have known each other and finally the trust between them. Firstly, love and commitment is one of the many factors that contribute to a successful marriage. Love and commitment allow couples to act with integrity, respect and care for each other. The readers can clearly see the commitment Viola has for Duke Orsino when she says, After him I love/More than I love these eyes, more than my life,/More, by all mores, than e er I shall love wife (V. i. 130 132). This proves that Viola ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Love is built on trust therefore we can only love someone we trust. He is able to share all of his secrets with Viola only after three days of knowing each other. Couples can only express their feelings freely to each other, feel secure and safe when they trust each other. Therefore, the trust Viola and Orsino has for each other is a vital asset they have that will make them different from the other two couples and it is this that will make them the most successful marriage in the play. Theme Of Family In The String Of Pearls Another issue it caught my attention is the fact that family is assumed to be the only one who is always there for helping you, however, in this novel, family is everyone s only enemy. In Victorian period, the idea of family as sacred was expanded through cultural media, social or political discourses and education. Novels like this which included marriage and domesticity contained debates of love and family either principal or secondary story. These kinds of work made people see family as a source of real happiness, despite the fact that abhorrent mistreatment happened in many households. It would be interesting considering what Marry Strauss, a domestic violenceexpert, says about this issue; With the exception of the police and military, the family is perhaps the most violent social group, and the home is the most violent social setting. Volleyball Is A Popular Sport Across The World For Both Volleyball is a popular sport across the world for both males and females, whether it be competitively or recreationally (Mitchinson, 2013). The objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and have it land inside the opponents court. However, to even start the game or rally, one must serve the ball from their side of the court to the other side of the court. This then gives the teams an opportunity to score a point. Therefore, serving is one of the most important skills in volleyball since it is one of the few ways to continue to score points (Seminati, 2015). A type of serve often is the overhand serve. The American Dream And The Mortgage Crisis Essay Rojina Shrestha Professor Patricia Ard Critical Reading and Writing 102 9 November 2016 The American Dream and the Mortgage Nightmare Every country s economy is greatly impacted by the beliefs and the attitudes of its citizens; conversely, the action of the people is affected by the country s economy. In other words, economy of a nation and character of the citizens are correlated. For instance, in the United States, the American Dream to own a home had a huge influence on the mortgage crisis in 2008. However, the economy at that time period had been inducing people to buy new home. Likewise, in Greece, the growing trend of corruption and bribery among the people played a major role in shattering its economy. As a consequence of the dreadful economy, Greek people are revolting against their government. While Greece is trying to recover from its devastated state, the overrated American Dream is still a cause of multiple problems in the US. The tendency to use fulfillment of the dream as the measure of success among American people is the one of many reason behind the overall health of people and community and one of the main reason for crisis in 2008. The American Dream of owning a home killed the mediocre reality of middle class people and led to a nightmare of foreclosure and its deadly consequence instead. On the other side of the globe, Greece, a country which used to be the foundation of intellectual and philosophical discoveries, is now toppling over the fault ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Medea, The Oresteia, Antigone, and other classic works of Grecian tragoidia all involve huge components of violence in many prominent places, and for all of these stories, violent action is an integral part of the play. Medea, especially, is a character worthy of note in this regard; her tumultuous life can be plotted accurately along a path of aggression and passionate fits, and her bloody history lends tension and ascendance to the cathartic events of the gripping Medea. In comparison to this is Lysistrata, a comedy in which violence is not shown to be an answer that works. In this story, however, the overarching dilemma is the existence of the Peloponnesian War. For Euripides, violence is a question and a centerpiece of intrigue, yet it is not the root of the plot. Aristophanes, on the other hand, chooses to investigate gender relations and the concerns of daily life by using a hollow context of violence that ostensibly motivates the actions of the characters while avoiding center stage as an issue of any weight in the play itself. At first glance this analysis seems wrong: it appears that Lysistrata is very much concerned with violence. After all, Aristophanes intended to write an anti war piece. However, while this statement is technically true, it is only a skin deep realization. In actuality, Lysistrata herself is not anti war in the sense of being ideologically opposed to war; she is anti war only insofar as she detests the Peloponnesian War. And yet, although the Mede is at our gates, / You ruin Greece with mad intestine wars. / This is my first reproach to both of you, (Aristophanes 1132) says Lysistrata to the assembled Spartan and Athenian ambassadors. Physiological needs are the very basic needs such as air, water, food, sleep, sex, etc. When these are not satisfied people may feel sickness, irritation, pain, discomfort, etc. These feelings motivate people to focus on alleviating them as soon as possible to establish homeostasis. Once the feelings are alleviated, people may think about other things. The body needs are biological and consists of the needs for air, food, water and a temperature range as do the physiological needs. These needs can be very strong because if deprived over time, the person will die. The relationship of the biological factors to personality is important because an individual is ready to act upon the growth needs if and only if the deficiency needs are met. When the needs are met people attempt to get more accomplished, therefore causing them to generate their very own personality traits. By use of symbolism in the novel, Winston strives for freedom in the prison of his society. In the novel, privacy does not exist. The thrush is free to live life as it chooses, enlightened in the sun (...) whereas Winston and Julia must live in accordance to what the Party, their society, tells them. The two notice the thrush s unfettered singing, and Orwell brings into question, For whom, for what, was that bird singing? No mate, no rival was watching it. What made it sit at the edge of the lonely wood and pour its music into nothingness? (...). This suggests that the bird is singing simply for the enjoyment of it, or the emotion of it. The thrush thus has no social obligations or societal expectations that are causing it to sing. The bird is free. This stands out to Winston and triggers a spark of emotion in him. Human emotion has been eradicated from society by the Party as it is a means of freedom and expression, thus marking it a threat to the Party. Winston recognizes the bird s freedom and embraces it. Orwell explains this, saying, It was as though it were a kind of liquid stuff that poured all over him and got mixed up with the sunlight that filtered through the leaves.
