construction the canal greatly aided the economic growth of the United States in the early twentieth
century. In spite of the success of the canal and the seemingly positive impacts it had on the growth
and development of the U.S., some historians still believe that the construction of the Panama Canal

effect on the U.S. economy because of the time saved by traveling through the canal, the money saved

Lay Bare the Heart by James Farmer tells the story of a terrifying, yet exciting Civil Rights
movement. It begins in 1961 and jumps right into action when James Farmer, the CORE (Congress of
Racial Equality) principal founder and last survivor of the Big Four , boards the Greyhound (Alabama
bound) bus with the Freedom Riders. With a little bit of convincing from Doris Castle, a 16 year old
CORE member, he decided that it was right for him to proceed. He was well advised that there would
be trouble ahead; nevertheless, Mr. Farmer wasn t terror stricken. When they arrived in Jackson,
Mississippi, the trouble began. Over two dozen policemen were surrounding the Freedom Riders and
they were arrested.
The Freedom rides were put together by Mr. Farmer and consisted of a mixed race of people. They all
followed the rule: Jail no bail. This ride was non violent and resulted in turmoil near the south. This
smart idea made James Farmer a powerful leader in the Civil Rights movement. No one had the same
amount of courage and fight inside as he did. While in jail, the Freedom Riders were mistreated by
policemen; they were cursed at and humiliated. To get through the constant interrogations, they sang

There was once a time in my life where everything was perfect. There were smiles, toys, good times,
friendships and playgrounds. This period of time was my early childhood when the only time I
became sick was when I fell during my joyous playtimes. However, as I grew older, the world and my
environment changed. I always tried to keep healthy by maintaining the right diet and taking vitamins.
Despite this, something terrible happened to me on December 12th, 2015.
December 12th, 2015 was just another regular day for me. I was working at my part time job at the
grocery store. I did the same routine tasks as any other day: said my prayers, had breakfast, showered
and got prepared to go to work. That morning was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining brightly,
the birds were chirping sweetly and a warm Christmas spirit was in my home. My parents were jovial

It is the most cost effective strategy for cash strapped businesses with no special emphasis on security.
Sometimes the cheapest design doesn t always translate into the easiest design. In this case, the
translation is a success. The hub will serve as the intermediary between the computers and the internet
(via cable modem). Also, in this case, easy design also translate into easy troubleshooting of any
network problem. The star network allows troubleshooters to isolate issues on the network instead of
taking the entire local network offline. Moreover, the star network implies direct data flow from the
computers (via hub) to the internet instead of the data flowing through the nodes first. Hence, speed is
a benefit of such a network. In addition, because of the direct data flow methodology (nodes to hub to
modem to internet and vice versa), the data is safe. Finally, the star network allows for expansion of
nodes, hubs, and gateways without losing any of the networks advantages listed on this page. The
owner plans to eventually add 7 more computers to the network. My recommendation is to purchase
an additional hub to manage the 7 additional computers. Also, an additional modem is needed for load
balancing purposes.

to the internets actual function. Morozov s article attempts to convince the reader the internet is a

by allowing the spread of propaganda and legitimacy, and its aid in authoritarianism. Morozov mainly
focuses on how many people often seem to forget how the internet carries negative aspects, resulting
in cyber utopianism, a naïve belief in the emancipatory nature of online communication that rests on a
stubborn refusal to acknowledge its downsides. Morozov argues that cyber utopianism is not a
realistic way of viewing the internet due to how the internet operates throughout different countries
and because of the effect the internet has had on authoritarianism. Instead of the internet being a tool
for the oppressed, Morozov suggests that it has become a bigger aid to governments. Though I do
