The carrying capacity determines the population level of a species according to the limiting
resources,
Algae is one of the most diverse and interesting organisms on the planet. This is because there are
over 10,000 unrelated species of organisms that contain chlorophyll and live in large bodies of
water or moist land. Keeping a count of population size gives us a good indication of how certain
species grow and interact with one another. By using two different species of Algae we can
determine what types of interactions the two can encounter. The two species tested were
Closterium and Micrasterias algae. We labeled them as species 1 and 2. The purpose of this lab is
to determine whether the selected algae species will demonstrate competition or resource
partitioning with the coexistence of each other versus alone. At the end of this lab we should be
able to determine which species upheld the best under all of these circumstances.
Methods:
This lab was performed with two different types of algae, Micrasterias and Closterium. Within our
groups, we counted how many of each species there were to begin with. Each group sampled one
micro liter of each algae stock, five times, and then found the average of the five trials and
converted it to milliliters. There were three different test tubes of algae stock containing 100

Abstract
Background: Recurrent abortion or recurrent pregnant loss (RPL) is a common clinical problem,
and for most women the cause is unknown. Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) affects vascular
structure and placental function, and its role in blood pressure regulation and electrolyte balance
is well documented, as well as it is play a role in regulation of fibrinolysis indirectly.
Objective: This study aimed to examine the association of the ACE I/D polymorphism with
recurrent pregnancy loss in Sudanese women.
Materials and methods: It is a case control study, in which 40 patients with RPL and 40 healthy
women with one or more successful pregnancies were enrolled. Salting out method was used for
DNA isolation from peripheral blood leukocytes, and PCR was used to determine the ACE
genotypes (DD, ID, and II).
Results: In women with RPL the frequencies of ACE genotypes were found to be 57.5% for DD,
35.0% for ID, and 7.5% for II. in the control group the frequencies were 92.5% for DD,

Running head: ROY S ADAPTATION MODEL Nursing theory is an organized framework of
concepts that are designed to guide nursing practice and provide a foundation for clinical decision
making. There are many different types of nursing theories. This present paper will focus on one
of the Grand theories, the Roy Adaptation model (RAM). The paper is divided into four main

The six steps include assessing behaviors, assessing and categorizing the stimuli, making a
diagnosis, setting goals, implementing interventions, and evaluating achievement. Roy also
emphasizes that the nurses should use their intuitive skills while assessing and initiating

(BBARNS) helped provide and validate the use of Roy adaptation model in nursing research.
They helped identify over 163 studies of which 116 had links to the RAM process. As a
consequence, this theory has been used world wide for research including holistic methods. I
have practiced as a cardiology nurse for the past twenty years and I have seen the implementation

The Hardy Boys series written by various authors, all under the pseudonym Franklin W. Dixon
has been around for a very long time. Their first appearance was in 1927, and they have survived

Sherlock Holmes and other popular detectives, they are teenagers. Like their readers, they have

Edward II Film Analysis
Christopher Marlowe s Edward II was published around 1594 and in 1991 Derek Jarman
produced a film adaptation under the same title. Though these two works were produced almost
four hundred years apart, many of the themes and aesthetics from the original are able to shine
through a modern lense. The film successfully utilizes many of the original themes, motifs and
characters as well as the plot without producing a carbon copy of the play. Jarman s ability to
successfully transform the text to fit the socio political climate of his time is what sets this
adaptation apart from similar works. The film adaptation of Edward II pays homage to its roots,
and yet manages to set itself apart as an independent work of art.
Though Jarman s film is modernized, it successfully borrows political and cultural themes of the
early modern period. One of the political themes that it borrows is the idea of a ruling party
