more light on what the atom was made of. The electron was first found in 1897 by J.J Thompson;

As a girl, I was raised in a Christian household that believed strongly in the belief of God and the
truth of the Bible. I have never really had experiences with other religions of the world since I
have always been a firm believer in Christianity. Prior to reading the chapter on Buddhism in my
book The World s Religions the only information that I knew about the Buddhist religion was that
there was meditation and a lot of relaxation involved, but I came to understand and respect the
Buddhist religion. I was able to gain insight on the different types of Buddhismbut also how one

Path one must take. This Path begins with the Four Noble Truths. This is the central teaching of
the Buddha. The teaching focuses on the reality of human suffering. The Four Noble Truths are;
all life is permeated by suffering, the cause of suffering is craving for existence, the craving of
existence can be eliminated, and the mode of doing this is by following the Noble Eightfold Path.
The first two aspects of the Path concern trust: they are Right Belief and Right Attitude. The next
three are to do with ethical conduct: Right Speech, Right Bodily Action, and Right Livelihood. The
last three, have to do with yoga or self training, which are; Right Effort, Right Self Awareness, and

Uncle Julius McAdoo is Chesnutt s internal narrator, and serves a storyteller in the story. He
exemplifies the characteristics of a former slave such as being uneducated and unable to speak
Standard English. Julius is old, poor, and uneducated. These characteristics set him up as being a
person that lacks credibility. However, early on in the story Julius claims his credibility as a

On the other hand, John had learned that North Carolina was a great state to cultivate grapes, and

towards John because he too is a northerner.

I interned for the COPA shorts film festival from August to December. I was a film reviewer, and

watched a film more than 4 5 times, that usually meant that I found it perplexing, and difficult to

my review. I would then take these bullet points and attempt to write a rough draft of a cohesive
