The short film, Descent is about a dying man and his very vivid memories shown through dance.
The movie won many awards including, the Van Gogh Award at the Amsterdam Film Festival and

In front of the wall are three men with black trash bags over their faces. They are reaching out in
different directions and ripping open the bag. They pull themselves up off the floor and begin
their dance. It is beautiful and mesmerizing and I ve watched it several times. There are

I found Dave Barry s article to be very funny, but true. Throughout this article Dave Barry states
his bias opinion on the way he views college. He is basically making fun of the education
system. Dave Barry uses his humor in a way of arguing the concept of how we are learning
things that we will never use in life. I think this article is similar to the other articles we have read,
but uses a different tone to express it. The other articles we have read were based off the education
system also. Many of the articles were against the system, just as Dave Barry is. The other articles
we read were more persuasive and informative, than an argument. They contained more evidence
and facts. Davy Barry did not have facts in his article, but opinions.

Victorian period women s powers were extremely limited; they could not control their own money
and were very much under the control of men. Among the few respectable jobs available to women

In contrast, the poem Cousin Kate is about a cottage maiden who is devastated by her ruin and
is cast aside by society. She was ruined because a great Lord found her out and lured her to his
palace home to lead a shameless shameful life and then chose her Cousin Kate and cast the
narrator by. The cottage maiden becomes destitute but has a gift that Cousin Kate is not likely
to get; a son. The narrator feels ashamed of her relationship with the Lord. She describes her life
with him as shameless, shameful . Looking back on her relationship I think she feels dirty and
used because she says so now I moan an unclean thing, who might have been a dove . The
narrator is very proud of her son, despite becoming an outcast amongst her neighbours although
she feels quite the opposite way to Melia in The Ruined Maid about her ruin. The tone of Cousin
Kate is resentful about the situation in which the narrator finds herself. This is conveyed by the
use of negative language, for example, her heart is filled with care , he lured her, her life is full
of woe , she lead a shameless shameful life and she moans, an unclean thing . These words express
how the cottage maiden feels about her position in contrast with her feelings for
