With the numerous ethical theories available, it can become difficult and overwhelming to
decipher which one offers the best guidance. Some might seem to be too strict while others may
not offer enough of a path to follow. W.D. Ross came up with a path that provides a median
between some of the popular theories by introducing the concept of prima facia duties within the
idea of ethical pluralism, a form of ethicsin which there are at least two moral rules. Through
explanation of what the prima facia duties are, comparing how Ross s idea differs from Kantian
ethics and utilitarianism, and by exploring some of the benefits of adhering to Ross s idea, it
becomes evident that one should be in favor of his approach to ethics. Ross developed a list of

Over the years State powers has changed. The States have gained less power relative to the Federal
government. Originally the States were the sole governing power through the Articles of the
Confederation due to the fear of the development of a monarchy that the U.S. had fought so hard to
rid themselves of. Thus gave creation a new form of government through the constitution which
fundamentally began the shift of power from state to federal. Next, though significant historical
events such as the New Deal and Civil Rights we will see the Federal government infringement on

stronger federal government. Thus the constitution was signed and ratified establishing a stronger
federal government to remedy the major defects of the Articles; taxing, executive office, interstate

as a long tradition stems from the early church, allegorical interpretation has never been
disappeared; on the contrary, it was one the most important exegesis tradition in the history of
Chinese Protestant Church. Many fundamentalist theologians and church leaders were influenced
by it, while Jia Yuming is one of the representative figures. This paper attempts to explain the
characteristic of Jia Yuming` s allegorical biblical interpretation, and to explore the contribution of
his exegesis in Chinese Christian theology. Jia Yuming`s allegorical interpretation was influenced
by several theological schools. He graduated from Presbyterian seminary, and had reformed
theology background, then he influenced by pietistic theology and Charismatic movement, and
then turned to allegorical exegesis. In this paper, we will use Jia Yuming` s interpretation of
