used to heat the system with overall system efficiency to be 60.4% and generate power of 5KW to
be used for
cogeneration and the waste heat recovered is stored in a battery which is utilized to produce hot
water even in
the absence of sunlight. The thermodynamic properties of the system were analyzed and calculated.

second law efficiency, irreversibility of the system components, maximum system efficiency and
the net work
done by the components of the system were majorly focused and calculated. The economic analysis
of the
system were performed by taking into account all the system components and found the system
design to be
more economical for small scale applications.

change my behavior. Cognitive dissonance theory explains the contradictions we have with our
behaviors and beliefs but it can also be used to get us to have positive behaviors.
Cognitive dissonance theory was created by Leon Festinger and to better explain his theory he
used the topic of smoking. He showed how the contradiction is so clear and uncomfortable that
something has to give either the use of cigarettes of the belief that smoking will [harm] (Griffin
et al., 2015, p.201). Cognitive dissonance in a nutshell is a contradiction that causes us stress. It
is when we act in ways that go against what we believe and the strong presence we have on the
matter the greater the stress we have. Festinger (2015) describe it the distressing mental state one
feels when one finds themselves doing things that don t fit with what we believe or what the public
approves of (p.200). An extreme example of this is the high one gets from taking drugs but the

paradigms are in different universes, in his book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. I believe

against it throughout the history of sciencethat do not exhibit the discontinuity and replacement of
paradigms, as Kuhn s incommensurability thesis predicts, but rather continuity and
supplementation. If this is correct, then there are no compelling epistemic reasons to believe that
Kuhn s incommensurability thesis is true or probable. The argument that the point of the same

receiver diameters in presence of fog, rain and humidity attenuation. The results shows how to
improve the system to achieve minimum BER and maximize the power received that can be detect
at distance 1 km.

A supernova is a stellar explosion that occurs at the end of a star s lifetime. It is one of the largest
and most energetic explosions in space (S1). A supernova can briefly outshine an entire galaxyand
radiate more energy than our sun will in its lifetime. That is about same brightness of 10 million
suns (S2). Supernovae happen about every 50 years in a galaxy about the size of the Milky Way,
which could be about every second in our universe (S3). Supernovae can happen in two ways
depending on the mass of the star; Type I or Type II.
A Type I supernova happens when the star steals matter from a neighbor until a nuclear reaction

In the end, we did not get into the top tier and did not win any awards that year. The head
instructors even chose to not criticize me for my drastic mistake, for they all knew it was all
over and I was in a dismal state of mind anyway. From that championship on, I had to work
especially hard to reclaim the trust of my instructors. Looking back, I can see now how hard it is
to get someone s trust back once it is lost. I practiced relentlessly throughout high school and was
the best person on the saber line. Or I would have been the best, but I could never be consistent,
which is one of the most important skills to have in color guard. I would throw my saber and
catch a difficult toss ten times in a row perfectly, then the next day drop it three times. Due to the
inconsistency, as well as my history of crumbling under pressure, my instructors would not
allow me another solo toss on my color guard team again. My experience has left a scar in my
mind, to which I owe my persistence to not make promises I cannot keep. The best way to keep
someone s trust is to not break your promises to them. I inadvertently made a promise to my
instructors that they could trust me to catch my toss in our show when all focus is centered on me.
I let them down, therefore I was left to deal with the consequences. Due to my hard work, I
