By 2003, almost half of the U.S states adopted these same laws. Some of the states such as
Wyoming lowered the legal age from 14 to 10. By law adolescents are not able to vote, purchase
tobacco or alcohol, join the armed forces, or sign a legal contract. Children are not permitted the
same rights and responsibilities as adults because the law recognizes their inability to make adult
decisions. The law acknowledges that children are unable to handle the consequences that come
along with the rights that adults have. By allowing them to be charged as adults is holding them to
a double standard. Telling them that they are not old enough to enjoy the same luxuries as adults,
but they can experience the same punishment as adults if they commit a crime. The law
acknowledged the inability of children to make decisions but still allows them to suffer the same
consequences as adults. Research demonstrates that transferring children from juvenile court to
adult court does not decrease recidivism, and in fact actually increases crime. Instead of the child
learning their mistake they are more likely to repeat it. Juvenile detention centers have programs

My second reason is that the knights had very strong and effective armour, whereas the samurai
s armour was always changing and was never as good as the knight s armour, as samurai

Child pornography is a broadly defined term mainly because there is no internationally agreed upon
definition. There are also some conflicting laws between different countries that further complicate
the issue of child pornography. It can become difficult to prosecute with the increased use of
computers and anonymous online networks. Both the offenders and the victims can come from a
wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. Child pornographyincludes pictures or videos that
present children being sexually abused. Child sexual abuseis defined as any act, by an adult,
involving a child under the age of 15 years in sexual activity (Richards 2011, p. 1). It tends to
refer to a broad range of actions including touching, various types of penetration, and actions that

Never underestimate the effects of psychology in wars, it can make or break both the ally and

As children, our minds are filled with wonder and imagination, allowing pieces of art such as
books, cartoons, or movies to influence us starting at a very young age. It was no different for

Emperor penguins are majestic creatures; their life cycle portrayed in the film March of the
Penguins shows a lifecycle fraught with dangers, including exposure to extreme environmental
conditions and aggressive predators. Despite the challenges, the breed has survived. It may be
argued that survival is the result of natural selection and the adaptations which have developed, but
it is also argued luck plays a role.
Natural selection occurs when genotypic characteristics which provide better adaption to the
environment, increasing survival chances, reproduce and become increasing frequent within a
population, perpetuating the beneficial characteristics (Beatty, 1984). Chance is luck, or simply
